- 2:30a roster because you have locks. Wow. One of the Avengers will probably
- 2:35arrest me. But you know that's a whole other story. Most of the
- 2:39Avengers because they're cops, you know what I mean? Um, yes,
- 2:46but I mean, are you doing Jase? I think so with my rant
- 2:51about police, you know as well? All right? Right at the top
- 2:53of the hour of views from the six one six, Yes, we are
- 2:57back. We are back to discuss everything secret invasion. This week we are
- 3:02talking episode two titled Promises. Before we get to the details there, I

- 3:24a print? Raise sprint? I mean, everyone's looking at me just rub
- 3:29on myself. But hey, listen, hey, sometimes you gotta do it.
- 3:31Sometimes you gotta do that. And you probably wouldn't be seeing me do
- 3:35that if you're on YouTube, right, YouTube dot com, slash four owner
- 3:38TV. But if you don't see me doing things to myself, you will
- 3:42be listening right now on your favorite podcast platform. And as mentioned right,
- 3:47I hope. So we saw episode two. Um last week I mentioned Ben,
- 3:52I mean, how we got the episodes early kind of compure for me.
- 3:55I could do this at Fox there and stuff. Yes, the man
- 4:01does not stay on the topic at all. I'm trying to I'm trying to
- 4:06d trying to get it going. Yes, but I mean you last week
- 4:12you actually got to see both episodes. So I had to catch up since
- 4:15I was on another I was on Earth forty two. But now I'm back
- 4:18and I caught up, and uh, I saw I saw episode one obviously,
- 4:24but I also saw episode two. And just to kind of back you
- 4:29up on some of the things you said last week when you were talking about
- 4:30episode one violence, it's all the violence, always all the time when it
- 4:35comes to this show. It does have a it is a little bit different
- 4:42from Falcon and Winter Soldier, Like it's in that vein of realism in terms
- 4:46of like this is not like a fantastical type of show, Like it's not
- 4:50a low key it's not a Wanda vision, and it's more on the lane
- 4:56of a of a falcon on the shoulder. But it's a little bit different
- 4:59too. Honest, it was giving me Pope fiction tease, just and only
- 5:02because of the certain scenes with Nick Fury. Because Samuel Jackson I feel like
- 5:08sometimes nowadays, like he's playing himself, just in slightly different slighting, different
- 5:15outfits, slightly different like hair styles, but he's kind of still playing himself.
- 5:19Um, kind of like how the Rock does and like everything he does.
- 5:21Right, it's just like I'm still you, but just a little bit,
- 5:24just a smidge different, but you still love him for it. Right,
- 5:28So I will say the first episode I was a bit slow for me.
- 5:32I was, I was. It wasn't boring, but it was a
- 5:34little bit slow for me, And then this episode picked up the pace.
- 5:38Episode two picked up the pace a bit more for me. How do you
- 5:42feel about Maria Hill? I didn't care. Wow, I'm not gonna hold
- 5:46you like like I like Maria as a person, do I am? I
- 5:58invested in her as a character? Not? No, not really? Yeah?
- 6:01I agree right there, Actually one thousand percent. I think the actress
- 6:05I can't remember her name, but she's phenomenal. She's hilarious. She was
- 6:10the one thing I never watched it, but I know on How I Met
- 6:13your Mother she's phenomenal. And um, yeah, they gave her nothing.
- 6:18And also it was pretty unceremonious how she went out, My guy, like
- 6:23that was pro blood too. It was pretty and that's probably also what it
- 6:27should be. Besides how I just I guess you could call it a bias
- 6:30with my general bias of like neutrality when it came to her. The way
- 6:33she went out was also very like, uh, another spot is dead,
- 6:38goodbye, like all like it wasn't she died in the line of duty.
- 6:44Okay, you died when you're supposed to die. Like how the fuck else?
- 6:46Like if a fucking portal came out of nowhere and you know, Thanose's
- 6:51hand came through it and crushed her to death, and maybe I might feel
- 6:55it way right, but that didn't happen. It was just you got popped,
- 6:58all right. Also got to say it was kind of like, damn,
- 7:01Nick Fury really is slipping because they had no code word or nothing nothing
- 7:06for that. Now, I will say the most important part of her being
- 7:11popped was the fact that we all know that Maria is Nick Fury's road dull.
- 7:15Yeah, like that's his ace, that all that stuff. So for
- 7:19that to go her to go, I like that that hurt him, and
- 7:21you felt that hurt from him. Do you feel like that's a case of
- 7:25fridging where her death is used to motivate the male character. And you did
- 7:29say this last week. Now that I've seen the episode, I'm not I
- 7:34don't really say that, not a ndred percent, because he was already motivated.
- 7:39He's already motivated, and and yes, and guys were just kind of
- 7:42really quickly recapping episode one in. And it's also too because and he also
- 7:45kind of shrugs off, Yeah, shrugs off her mom, like whatever.
- 7:48He it's a little bit, it's a smidgen of fridging, But more so
- 7:55it was just more confirmation of the road, the path that he was already
- 7:59walking down out he had said multiple times even before her that a Yo,
- 8:03I'm coming back from my Space station because this is my war. And also
- 8:07its confirmation that they had nothing to do from Mauria Hill and had nothing to
- 8:11do except for show her. They clearly had nothing to do with Ross.
- 8:16But also that was a scrolls or didn't matter. But I wish they'd done
- 8:18him in oh the real Ross. Yeah, definitely five so many near deaths.
- 8:26I mean, he made him he got shot once and this should have
- 8:30been the end. Well it wasn't him, so not not you know,
- 8:33like Maria Hill should have gotten you know, her near death and state at
- 8:37least she didn't, you know, Right, Well that's how I felt that,
- 8:41I mean to answer your question. And then leading into episode two,
- 8:45this whole episode again that one of the major themes Fury is washed, Fury
- 8:52is oh, Fury is off his game, like they keep pushing it.
- 8:56I'm like, bro, I hope this is not the narrative the entire four
- 9:00more episodes to go, Like I get it, man's this old man river.
- 9:03Can we do something else and move on? Like I feel like,
- 9:07of course they're trying to do the Hero's journey with him again, right,
- 9:11we see in this episode, like you know, he's kind of just failing
- 9:13at life or feeling at life as a leg Fury. And then towards the
- 9:18kind of middle end, he gets fired. Right how to get fired from
- 9:22a clandestine group, I don't know, but he got fired. So I
- 9:26say Heroes journey because like he kind of loses himself here already he's kind of
- 9:31seems as happening that he's losing himself and he has to build back up to
- 9:35some new version, some new version of the hero, some new purpose,
- 9:39And I feel like that's that's to me, it's kind of predictable that that's
- 9:43where this is going. And also you kind of also see just you see
- 9:50a little bit of history about how Gravit came to be, his whole villain
- 9:54origin story, and can you really call him a villain? You know,
- 9:56not necessarily because he kind of has a kind of fucking graphic a little bit.
- 10:03I don't fuck a graphic at all. Still like his plane, I
- 10:05don't fun with him a little bit, and not about his Let me be
- 10:09clear, I'm not talking about how he planned shit like you better, you
- 10:13gotta you gotta know. Not that part. My part is that dog,
- 10:16you got at most a million scrolls down with you, right at most,
- 10:20you really don't. There's a million on Earth he has, he has one
- 10:24hundred k at most. Okay, so let's say you got him all down.
- 10:28There are billions of people on this planet and you planning to kill them
- 10:31all so you can take over the planet. This is it was easy,
- 10:35it'd be easy. But if I was a scroll would be easy. No
- 10:39point, What are you gonna do with the rest of the planet, like
- 10:41you just try to murder everyone in the well. My understanding is they're gonna
- 10:43fucking end up. They're trying to start a cold war or until hot war.
- 10:48They're gonna end up nuking the planet. And because that scrolls are immune
- 10:52to nuclear activity or whatever, they're gonna be good. Like it's kind of
- 10:56easy. He's halfway fucking there. But I are you gonna run? Like
- 11:01who's gonna run this whole planet with just a million people on it? Like
- 11:03this nigga he's scrawled, he scrolled supreme? Why and not just get along
- 11:07with people? It's pointless, like you can eat it. I don't want
- 11:11he's I don't want these niggas. What what did the doctor say in that
- 11:15Spider Man strip? I don't want to cure cancer. I want niggas to
- 11:18be dinosaurs. That's how this nigga graphic is thinking. And just just from
- 11:24I when I say I funk with graphic. I just like his determination.
- 11:30I think that's a good word. I like his determination. I like that
- 11:33he no matter what, he's kind of not wavering and he don't and he's
- 11:37actually following through what he says. One thing I don't like and again.
- 11:41Yes, if I was a human, he would be against me. Okay,
- 11:43whatever, But I respect the niggas. I respect what he's trying to
- 11:46do. He's like, look, I'm trying to find a home for my
- 11:48people. I don't fuck with humans. Here's my here's my plan. I'm
- 11:52carrying through with my plan. I'm gonna make it happen for us. Is
- 11:54it is it the right way? No? Is it? Is it kind
- 11:56of like you said, are you finding holes in the plan? Absolutely,
- 12:00there weren't holes. It wouldn't be a plot. But here we are.
- 12:03But it's like, at least usually you know, it's like like we talked
- 12:07about the flash Masters. You know, you can be all down with them
- 12:09until they start blowing up hospitals to make you. This guy, Yeah,
- 12:15this guy starts off like, nah, that ain't homework, you know what
- 12:18I mean. That's why I'm saying, like I can't get down with him,
- 12:20because it's just like you're playing is foolish from the jump. It's just
- 12:22so you don't like it as so you don't like his party planning skills,
- 12:26so you don't want to be down with him. Nope, not at all.
- 12:30I cannot You don't think he's a good We're all gonna be there,
- 12:33graphic. Oh nobody, now I'm good, bro, nobody Like you don't
- 12:37think he's a good Like these people, it's ninety five they've been on the
- 12:41planet, like the majority of them, like forty plush years, right,
- 12:46thirty years they said, thirty plush years, thirty bush years. Yeah,
- 12:50d like you know hip hop and shit. Niggas like this shit, you
- 12:52know what I mean? Like niggas just all this shit. Nigga like humans
- 12:58dropped some dope shit like hip hop. I don't want to kill the humans.
- 13:01Yeah, like come on, fam, I mean he's not thinking about
- 13:07that. He wants to what does he don't care about that? He wants
- 13:13scroll on say I know, okay, he wants to scroll fruits, scroll
- 13:18juice that sho understand, we want to scroll sports like we sports. He
- 13:24wants that ship and only that shit. He's hit the I don't know,
- 13:30you know what I mean, why couldn't they got They got the physical str
- 13:33there, but it takes more than that. Baby, as we all know,
- 13:37you well. I also, as we also learned in this episode,
- 13:39the scrolls up to something. They up to something, and they are as
- 13:46ben I mean said before they robbing brains. But more than that, they're
- 13:50they're they're harvesting some stuff, right, Like, yeah, we see that
- 13:52they're actually harvesting DNA. And I actually pause the frame on one scene to
- 13:58see who's DNA it was harvesting or had already harvest. They've harvest the DNA
- 14:03of such notables such as grout from the planet b or at Planet X,
- 14:09frost beast from the planet Yodenheim, call of City in one of Dannos's niggas
- 14:20uh, and some other folks. Um, where's cold sitting from us as
- 14:22unknown origin? Okay, But the point is like they and then you know
- 14:26their doctors are saying, you know, they they've been Besides Robin, the
- 14:30last person is the what are you talk the extremists from irons give you the
- 14:39flame power? Yeah. So so I'm saying all this because, like I
- 14:41said, besides Robin brains, they're also robbing DNA. They are, and
- 14:45they're putting in there's some system going on, and they are going there battling
- 14:48towards something called the harvest, and I just imagine that's when they activate all
- 14:52of these doubles of all of this DNA that has been stolen. Um,
- 14:56come on, man, you got I mean it's probably more than that.
- 14:58But yeah, I mean this is a well trod as they say, comic
- 15:03book trope with the Strolls, and that is the Supersprawl and the Supersprawl and
- 15:09the comic books. The original Superstrolers are dude name kill Rick. I want
- 15:13to say you pronounced his name. He's a really great character, like such
- 15:16a I mean really like some of his stories are really some of the best,
- 15:20like heartbreaking stories, you know, the superstrow really goes through it.
- 15:24But yeah, he has the powers of the Fantastic Four. So as you
- 15:30see right here, they're getting because we don't have the Fantastic Forna and see
- 15:33you, we're getting it. And you've even seen this in the trailer if
- 15:35you want, if you're a person who watch trailers, you see Gravic at
- 15:39one point extend his arm and groups type arm comes out of it. So
- 15:45through these four combinations we're getting almost the Fantastic Four. Because you have the
- 15:48Extremists for the fire, you have Cold City, and for the strength and
- 15:52toughness like the thing, you have group for the stretch like mister fantastic,
- 15:58and then they, I guess, would give you like ice shields, like
- 16:03akin to a force field. So combining all these different aspects to create super
- 16:07scrolls or superscrowl. Yeah remember that. Yeah, you know, I don't
- 16:14think gravit's the type of share power. Let's just say, well, no
- 16:18one's sharing shit. They just took what they want and they're building the machine.
- 16:21You said, grab extreme me, I'm thinking of tails. Yeah no,
- 16:23no, Taylor's time getting none of this. Yeah. Yeah, um,
- 16:26so like that's kind of that. That's generally what's going on in this
- 16:30episode. I mean, you see all this stuff happening in terms of Nick
- 16:33Fury allegedly being completely washed, even though he has sotule glimpses of the old
- 16:37Fury in there, him losing whatever power he has, and and then of
- 16:42course what the Scrolls have been up to, just in terms of how deeply
- 16:47they've been integrated into society, have taken over. They are the heads of
- 16:49state, they are the head of the commander of NATO, they are the
- 16:53prime minister of Russia or whatever country they are. They President of United States
- 16:59and other people that don't whomever, and prime ministers. It was like FX
- 17:08and News or something that was supposed to be Fox News. I love how
- 17:11he said my scat like not my scat he said to Moscow attack attack.
- 17:18Yeah yeah, yeah. Uh. And this what I've I forgot my train
- 17:25of thought there. But what I did do, Ben, I did look
- 17:29back into your notes for this episode, uh, and just kind of just
- 17:33compare and contrast what I had seen today. And um, I mean some
- 17:37of these questions I just answered already. But he said, when you said,
- 17:44you said it several times. Even in the last episode the scrolls went
- 17:47white. Let's go back to that, because at the very beginning of this
- 17:51episode, we see a flashback of young Nick Fury, younger Nick Fury when
- 17:56he's basically recruiting the scroll saying, Hey, yo, I know y'all been
- 18:00through it. I'm gonna find y'all new home. I promise you that.
- 18:03But I need you. I need you to help me, help you,
- 18:08and he says will you, But essentially he says, in order to do
- 18:11this, you have to, you know, pretend to be humans. Will
- 18:15you do this for me? And then one by one, the scrolls start
- 18:18terraforming themselves and they turn into humans. Now you had a comment about that
- 18:23Scrolls went White. Yes, I did, because there's a lot in this
- 18:26episode that to me, I wanted to ask you about now that you've seen
- 18:30it, because it one it was a bit interesting, and two it was
- 18:33a bit heavy handed, and like you know, it starts from the very
- 18:40beginning of this episode, like you said, with that scene, but there's
- 18:41also the scene on the train when Talos convinces the people that there's no way
- 18:47to be a black man going from Mostow to Warsaw because you know, you'd
- 18:52rather see it alien on this train than that. So there's a lot of
- 18:55it throughout it. You know, there's the help of brother out scene,
- 18:57right, we gotta talk about that fury. But yeah, with the sprawls
- 19:02growing white, to me was the first time when I was like, wow,
- 19:06that's way. I mean, it's hilarious. But Nick gives them this
- 19:11offer and behind him, Taylor said, Nick are standing there and behind them
- 19:15is a painting on the wall of two looks like indigenous brownish people, definitely
- 19:21very brown brown or black people. And it looks like a classic you know
- 19:26painting. Like I said before, it's like the type of stuff you'll see
- 19:29in Jamaica, type of stuff you'll see in Dominican or Republic, in Ethiopia.
- 19:33Wherever you go to this brown or black people, you'll see these type
- 19:36of paints pretty much. And so that was instrutent, and he gives them
- 19:41this offer, and all the sprawls in that scene immediately turned into white people.
- 19:45The one the few that step up turn into white people like Gravic of
- 19:49course have adopted you know, black people, but switches between whatever when need
- 19:55be. You know, there's other people in this episode, like Fury's wife
- 19:57who has adopted to the person of a black woman. Correct, correct,
- 20:03But in that scene, everyone turned white. And I think that was very
- 20:06intentional with the black people in the painting behind them, because it's like these
- 20:10scrowls know what's up. It's easier to move in this world as a white
- 20:14person in most places than it is a person of color. And I think
- 20:18you're right, man, that there's some of this is heavy handed commentary just
- 20:22about race relations and all other stuff, like none of that shit matters to
- 20:26Scrolls, right, they're green. They are a species that can do shit
- 20:30that humans cannot do, and the stand shit that humans cannot withstand. So
- 20:34the yeah, they're in factions now, But when they were where they were,
- 20:38when they first got here, they were fucking refugees. They didn't care
- 20:41about none of that shit, right, Yes, of racism and all that
- 20:45stuff was not the main thing is how do we blend in and do what
- 20:48we need to do in order to get where we need to be. And
- 20:51to your point, like, it's kind of smart, and I also think
- 20:53there's some explanation for that. When you look at someone like tails Tailor's adopted
- 21:00the image of a white man. So I would imagine those people who are
- 21:03there. I mean, Taylors is the one who called a million fucking scrolls
- 21:07to Earth, So I would think at least some of them would be like,
- 21:11well, if Tailor's adopted the image of a white person, I probably
- 21:14should too. Oh they had to watch Taylor's they had on Earth for five
- 21:18minutes and figure that's sure. But my point is all right. My point
- 21:23is when you see the images of people you respect or follow, you are
- 21:27more prone to just pattern matching. And I can see that also being a
- 21:33factor of white people decided, as you say, the scrolls turned white,
- 21:36Yes, of course, Ben, they just came down saw the race relations
- 21:40said oh, y'all fucked up in the head and let me just adopted.
- 21:42Fine, but that also doesn't explain that some of them also became black or
- 21:47adopted the image being black too. Hey, we all know what that is.
- 21:51You know, black, I guess you know what I mean. That's
- 22:00all you know, easily explainable fan. You know, like I said before,
- 22:03hip hop beyond right sort just be personal purpoces and the things they see.
- 22:07Yes, yes, yes, I also think similar to the whole Taylores
- 22:10thing, there are people who looked at Nick Fury like you see Nick Fury,
- 22:14even even now as a washed guy, he still has that standing of
- 22:18being revealed, yeah, of being respected, and even twenty years ago,
- 22:22thirty years ago when he first was recruiting them. So I can also see
- 22:25people saying, you know what, I want to respect the honor be like
- 22:27Nick Fury, I'm a term black that's probably black, right, And listen,
- 22:33I still I don't know. I mean, no likes me, the
- 22:38dude who claims every charismatic villain ever I just do charismatic. No. I
- 22:44think he's super I mean, come on, this is great. He's very
- 22:48super charismatic, you know, Like I know, you you you uh confused
- 22:52him reggae see ye not the same guy, No, not at all.
- 22:56But you know they need to do a movie together. And I think they're
- 23:02both charismatic actors, and I think this dude's extremely charismatic as graphic. But
- 23:06I just think they've given him a really stupid plan. And it's like it's
- 23:10just you know, your plan would go like I mean, it's Flagsmaster's level
- 23:14stupid. Yeah, because it's like you don't need to do that. You've
- 23:17already won the avasion, you've won, you've technically won the war. Now
- 23:22you're just doing to start something that you can't finish. But more than that,
- 23:26Ben, I mean, he's much like that white woman who that white
- 23:30woman who's like the fucking terminator. He's an absolutionist, yeah, And I
- 23:33think that's the point, Like he's an absolute like it's not it's not enough
- 23:37that we've already won. I want to completely annihilate my ops, all of
- 23:42them. I want no choice or chance. Ain't right, He's like,
- 23:48nah, I ain't looking y'all niggas up. And that's why I say,
- 23:52and that's whe but but I also respect that because that's tends to what happens,
- 23:56right, The villains always either want to give the long fucking speech and
- 23:59you give the opportunity, or you get what happens when you give niggas an
- 24:02inch, they take a mile, right, and it's just like, oh,
- 24:04well, I'm gonna give you y'all. Let you what happens now,
- 24:07obviously, naturally what would happen, Like the humans is gonna try to uprise.
- 24:11They say, you ain't gonna you ain't gonna hold me down on my
- 24:15planet. So of course, like the threat, it's always there. He's
- 24:17like, funk that I'm eliminating the threat. I'm getting rid of you.
- 24:21Man. That part I fully agree with. I'm saying, understand, yeah,
- 24:27eliminate threats and he don't have to do it. But that ain't the
- 24:30point he's gonna do it. Yeah, No, I agree there. I
- 24:33just think that you've already eliminated the threat and you're being foolish like because now
- 24:37you're gonna start some shit that you can't win. He's being greedy, Yes,
- 24:42he's being greedy like Taylor's And that's where you when I to the Malcolm
- 24:47Mexim Martin Luther King thing, and again the very basic binary version of these
- 24:52super people because that's not exactly exactly who or Malcolm were. Um. But
- 24:57again and just using that whole Magneto Professor X comparison too, it's just like,
- 25:03well, one it's like, oh, well we can live in harmony
- 25:04and it's definitely a need and it's more of that. Another one's just like,
- 25:08nah, I get rid of these niggas. He's definitely a mad needo,
- 25:12but she's like, no, none of y'all just to stay around and
- 25:15I and I've largely after with my needos. So like, I understand where
- 25:21he's coming from, and his approach is, you know, I don't think
- 25:26it's I commend the guy for for sticking to it, sticking with it,
- 25:30but he don't have to know, he don't have no And the other side,
- 25:34I mean, I guess it works for the strolls, but I do
- 25:38not believe nuking the planet works for Earth. So I definitely disagree with that
- 25:42one. Yes, And that's stupid because it's like, so you're gonna scorch
- 25:45Earth, literally scorch Earth policy, just because you want to get rid of
- 25:49what you perceive an infestation, even though this it was our motherfucking planet first
- 25:53no, no, we aren't. That we were here first. I don't
- 25:57care. Then you're an infestation too, because all came after I was here
- 26:00first. I am your og No. But capitalist society is an infestation upon
- 26:06the planet. Sure, yeah, are we nuking the planet right now?
- 26:08Though slowly, slowly, slowly, we are doing it from the planet is
- 26:14extreme and correct, And he said, he said, he keeps saying,
- 26:17I'm just hastening the inevitable and in those ways like damn, Nigga, you
- 26:21not you not seeing the forest for the trees like you got Beyonce, you
- 26:26know, like during the inevitable, is the only one where's saving? I
- 26:30mean she's one, you know, there's others. Yeah yeah, um,
- 26:34but you know you mentioned you felt that he was cold blooded gravic. Yeah,
- 26:40definitely, because he's out here. He murdered his man's, you know,
- 26:42like with no problem. But that really is man's. If you are
- 26:47completely convinced you're fighting a war and you know that Nigga's lying, and you
- 26:51know that Nigga's snitched, you know that Nigga, I mean we're already snitched.
- 26:55What does it matter now you got him back? You can't have it
- 26:57by your side. You can't. It's a pure ever. But I mean
- 27:04for the same reason. You know, in every fucking spy movie when this
- 27:07when the person who snitches get caught, what do they do. They eat
- 27:11the cyanide pill because they are not They're going to die anyway. They're going
- 27:14to die on their own terms. They are told, if you get captured,
- 27:18kill yourself because you can't come back here. That's just once again,
- 27:21just like how Maria died. It's part of your job. You decide to
- 27:25be a warrior and an operative. This is one of the things that might
- 27:29happen to you. I mean, he also murdered a bunch of humans and
- 27:32plants to newte the Earth is pretty much why I said you're troll blooded.
- 27:33You know, well that's you. Yeah, what about the animals. No
- 27:37one's talking about the animals. That's Earth. That's what I'm talking about.
- 27:40That is all like you know, people who have that's you know, the
- 27:42whole ecosystem that has no control of anything, that lives in harmony without humanity,
- 27:48and you're trying to neute that to nothingness. Like, No, that's
- 27:51where I lose That's where you lose me completely. No, that's hard perfect.
- 27:56You're worse than the Flashmasters. You're You're a complete moron. Yeah.
- 28:00No, I cannot agree with graphic at all. Now I think about it,
- 28:03just for a hot second, because the fact that you're like, I
- 28:04can be down with you killing every human on planet that you know, well,
- 28:08I will never be down there. Like I said, I don't agree
- 28:11with them, and let me because I don't agree with the man. I
- 28:11just I understand where you're coming from. You know, humanities are camps on
- 28:15the planet. But when you start talking about you know, cows, like,
- 28:18come on, man, what about the puppies. Yeah, puppies,
- 28:22No, no, never any innocent little pigs. Come on, we got
- 28:26how babe, but not your love for bigs are awesome dog Charlotte's web.
- 28:32Shit. Yeah, you mentioned Wolverine for some reason. What's the what's the
- 28:37connection with Wolverine? Oh? That was just me making jokes because Bradick is
- 28:41in the nuclear reactors that looked like the same thing it was in that hole.
- 28:48You know. Hey, you know the MCU is all one big melting
- 28:52pot at this point, so you know, I'm just making some connections there.
- 28:56Um, you said that you had something, you know that you really
- 28:59wanted to express about this episode that I really wanted to know about. You
- 29:02know, yeah, we did touch on it already with the whole turning white
- 29:06thing, but I absolutely wanted to talk about that conversation between Nick Fury and
- 29:10Rody. It was interesting, It was very interesting. It literally a cop,
- 29:18he's a cop, one hundred percent, one hundred percent the Feds.
- 29:22But it was a very real white man telling him what to do with no
- 29:26problem. It was a very real help from our Negro friend Beach, help
- 29:30about our speech from Nick Fury. And that was trifling too from two grown
- 29:37as black men. What was trifling from Nick's plandpoint or trifling from Roodie standpoint?
- 29:42And both? I mean, I agree with Nick right and I love
- 29:47that they, you know, made an example of Alexander Piers and brought it
- 29:49back to Robert Redford's character from Captain American Civil War, who don't people who
- 29:53don't remember who Alexander Pierce is, and you know that he was the mediocre
- 29:57white man who had their job. And that was a great line and a
- 30:02great call back to, you know, a mediocre white man who somehow made
- 30:04it to the top and was terrorizing everyone being a meteorocal white man. So
- 30:10I thought Nick was right. But it's also like you can't just call on
- 30:17that when you out here looking crazy too, you know, like you can't
- 30:21be like yo, helping brother out, you know, when helping a brother
- 30:25out might get everybody killed. This is also not some random in street right.
- 30:29He's known as nigga for like a hundred years. True. Indeed he
- 30:32sunned this nigga like he you know, raised this man. So it's I
- 30:36mean, Rhodes is a cop. You know that like looked false. You
- 30:38know, I hate to bring it up again, but Rhodes, then I
- 30:42say this last week the road stood by. Why this man said, you
- 30:45know, where's my roadie? And you know then he got blasted out the
- 30:48sky book that before after he got blast I thought that was a point.
- 30:53The man says, where bring me back my roadie? Did he hear them
- 30:56say that? What do you mean? What was he supposed to do?
- 30:59Like, don't call me a little boy, white man? Like, what
- 31:02was he supposed to do? No? I And in my perfect world,
- 31:06the scene would have gone like this, He said bring me back to my
- 31:07roadie, and then Rhodes is like, what you know? And then he
- 31:10gets hit because he's, you know, distracted by this racism. This man
- 31:14just like instead of him being distracted by what was it, because he got
- 31:18distracted by vision, no Vision shoots him. I can't remember why he gets
- 31:23wet, but you know, just right before that, he's like, bring
- 31:26me back my roadie, and then Vision shoots and somebody jars vision. I
- 31:30think, right, that's what happened. I think Tony jars vision. I
- 31:34can't remember, but I really don't remember. That was so long ago.
- 31:37Yeah, but Rhodes gets hit after he says bring me back my roadie.
- 31:41And you know, Rhodes never you know, whooped that man's ass for that?
- 31:45I don't know. Like I've heard people trying to defend that line and
- 31:48I don't get it. But roads, you know, without that line whatever.
- 31:52Throughout this Rhodes is the FEDS straight up like me is defens too.
- 31:57But Rhodes is really the nick nick nick Fury. But he's rogue fed.
- 32:02He's on the ouself red, white and blue and got in that armor with
- 32:06no problem. Absolutely, I mean, we're gonna see that and I uh,
- 32:10better he better have he better go back to the black and white in
- 32:15that hope he cannot wear that red white and blue shit he was rocking in
- 32:17the Infinity War. She was a travesty and I noticed from the comments it
- 32:22was a travesty in the common suit. Called himself, well, the current
- 32:25Captain America got the current Captain America Falcon got the red white and blue on
- 32:30what you mean? And he looked good in it, though, did he?
- 32:32I didn't like that suit that was they've they've changed up for the movie.
- 32:38So don't work out of here just like that. So okay, But
- 32:43yeah, back to the conversation. I look, no, let me make
- 32:49that point. If this nigga don't get a new shoe for his new movie,
- 32:53Jenus Christ, this nigga went through like five movies with one suit.
- 32:58Finally got one new suit for Afinity Wars. He damned will better have like
- 33:00three new suits in this new movie. Yeah, I said, I'm at
- 33:04Armor Awards Arm Awards, talk about it and in the movie called arm Awards.
- 33:07Man better have a twenty suits, twenty suits. So back to the
- 33:13conversation, Ben, I mean between Nick Fury and Rhodes. I just thought
- 33:15it was very interesting and again just the two black man, the two the
- 33:20two stately black men having his conversation, and yes, I saw. I
- 33:24was looking at the comparison and contract of that. Like you see when when
- 33:28he first calls Rhodi and Roody surrounded by these white folks and he's surrounded by
- 33:32his own essentially secret service and his assistance and this and that he has become
- 33:37the man, right, the man that that I didn't even want to say
- 33:42he was fighting before because I just felt like he was always on your side.
- 33:44But he has become the man right, And now you have Nick on
- 33:47the outskars of things, looking crazy on the streets, right, and for
- 33:53for for him to bring him in and be like, look, I actually
- 33:57try to help you, and you got me looking crazy. You're not deserving
- 34:00Like to me, he kind of basically told Fury that he was mediocre m
- 34:05hm, and that ship was cold cold. That man said the same people
- 34:09I share an ancestral heritage with. I got to tell you, you're washed
- 34:15like that. But why that's this moment? But but and you know,
- 34:19because I just feel like I've been waiting for that, right, Is that
- 34:22what you're about to I felt like been waiting for this one, Like,
- 34:25man, fuck this, nigga, nick I can't wait for this day,
- 34:29nigga, I'm going I don't know if you've seen Joining Lucas's new new video
- 34:36for really you should watch that actually because it another shots you know right as
- 34:44he says, I doubt it, but give watched that one Join in Lucas
- 34:51video and that was minute to my life I'll never get back. And well,
- 34:53no, this one is cool. But the reason why I'm mentioning it
- 34:55a lot of people have seen it, particularly this week, and a lot
- 34:59of people ask Rode reminds me of a Broski just in terms of what you
- 35:02said about You've been waiting all this time to say some shit to this person
- 35:07that you just had some bones to pick with or you're playing like you with
- 35:10him. You're playing like you you about that about them and you love them,
- 35:15but then you got basically got hate raid in you. Oh wow,
- 35:16like I'm mister Curtis that yes, But moving on, I mean as a
- 35:24black man, Ben, I mean it's now that you represent the one black
- 35:28man on the show. How did you feel about this black man, very
- 35:30black man conversation? Thank you. I'm glad I'm black man on this show.
- 35:37Um, because I don't represent all black Men. I thought it was
- 35:40an interesting conversation, but like I said, it was also kind of a
- 35:44straightforward conversation where Rhodes is a cop and you know, he's definitely fully accepted
- 35:50his role as a cop. He's always been a cop. You know,
- 35:52he was on the side of the cops in Civil War and he's still a
- 35:57cop to this date. And while he is out there is facing a real
- 36:02threat and it's kind of like Rhodes is I say, I just think sometimes
- 36:08this show so far at least, has had a lot of characters acting like
- 36:13idiots. So the plot the movie roles all the way wrong though, particularly
- 36:16when he interrogates Nick Fury, saying and and and really emphasizes it's you're he
- 36:22talks to Fury like he basically shades the funk out of Fury and then said
- 36:28wait and then says your war like he's like at like why like and he
- 36:32has a point there, like Nick is basically almost making this about himself,
- 36:37and sure you can blame him, but he's like, no one can help
- 36:39me. I gotta do this. And it's just like you're a word of
- 36:43you created the Avengers. You should know out to anybody understand anybody. You
- 36:46can't do shit by yourself. Yeah, and also the idea that the strolls
- 36:52would just take over the Avengers. Why wouldn't they just take over the Avengers
- 36:57if they I guess right now there aren't Avengeance and they don't know who they
- 37:00are, but they could always they can always show up a Spider Man.
- 37:04They could show up as anybody right now and be like, no, I'm
- 37:07I'm that dude, you know, but I think he meant from this point
- 37:09standpoint of they could get like kidnapping, the whole DNA situation happened, but
- 37:14he don't know about that yet. None of them know that these niggas is
- 37:15working on super scrawls. That's a whole another level, you know. So
- 37:21it's just, you know, that was kind of like, you know,
- 37:23their way of hand waving out the fact that they're not paying none of these
- 37:27niggas to show up besides cameo we might get, you know, I'm sure
- 37:30we're going to get a cameo from somebody at some point, you know,
- 37:34that's true. Yeah, how do you feel about I almost called a Deniest
- 37:38Targarian? How do you feel about Guya and that whole relationship between her and
- 37:44grab It because I fully whole hardly believe that gravit. No, she's lying
- 37:50and been lazing with her dad and all this stuff. Definitely, Yeah,
- 37:53he just playing along to you know, use her for what he can to.
- 37:58You know, he deside some burker and she's trying to play him along
- 38:00until she decides to murk him like he's been giving her like clear side eyes
- 38:06like to her face. Yeah, and like the other dude, like when
- 38:09she says something like when she she was on a computer snooping around about the
- 38:13DNA experiments and then she switched it real quick to the one that looks like
- 38:16your little YACHTI and then she was just like, oh, he's loyal.
- 38:21And then Gravil looked at her loyalty huh like you know, like like he
- 38:24knows. So they both just playing each other. Yeah, they both know.
- 38:29This is the Cold War still going on, you know, they know,
- 38:31but they can't kill each other just yet, just like Russia and you
- 38:35know us, because it'll cause other problems. So that's all that is.
- 38:39I like her in this roll, though I had to say I do like
- 38:42her in this rold, I won't say that I agree. I hope she
- 38:45gets more to do. I don't remember her actual her name, her captain
- 38:49name in the show. But how are you clocking this white woman who's like
- 38:53basically sign your false worthy? Are you blocking how she moved right now?
- 39:00In love with her? And the falls Worth are a family in the comics
- 39:04that goes far back there. She's related at some point to the Union Jack,
- 39:12and she even mentions that there was a great spymaster who started the tradition
- 39:15to put the clots up there. I don't know what that is. I
- 39:17think that was just made for the show. But Union Jack is a character
- 39:22from the comics. He's like the British version of Captain America. Like I
- 39:24talked about him last week. He holds a piece and he wears the Union
- 39:29Jack the British flag as his costume, but he got the GAT and he
- 39:32doesn't have any super soldier serium. And it's usually you know, one person
- 39:37was Union Jack back in World War Two, and then there was another person
- 39:40in a modern era who was Union Jack, and they're related. They're always
- 39:45in the Falseworth family. Okay, so she's just about it. Yeah,
- 39:49but she this particular character was created for the MCU and I'm not sure if
- 39:54we will see Union Jack or any of the rest of the falls Worth,
- 39:58but she's about it. I of her. I think the actress is phenomenal
- 40:01and I just think she's hilarious with her you know, start her delivery.
- 40:06Yeah, like we're gonna do this a hardware that way. Okay, fine,
- 40:08don't be that way he said, to the easy way or the other
- 40:10way. Yeah, here comes to torture, you know, like no problem,
- 40:15Yeah, and unflinching and smiling while do it, you know, right?
- 40:20Yeah? So I love her? Yeah, okay, any other character
- 40:23agree with her either? You know, her approach is wild, but this
- 40:29is what it is. Um Any other characters that you wanted to talk about
- 40:32mentioned like, I mean, I pretty much mentioned most of the people who
- 40:36showed up here, including like again that counsel, that round table who decided
- 40:39to do it cool and vote Graphic in as scroll general. Yeah, who
- 40:45was that smart? No no, no, no, no, no,
- 40:47no no once again, no come on, of course not. Who is
- 40:51the East Indian looking woman who Graphic talked to him? Was like, you
- 40:55made all this possible because she wasn't a scientists who are working on the harvests
- 41:00on the super scrawl. Shit, you mean in the council. No,
- 41:05when he leaves the thing, he goes back to he leaves the council.
- 41:08Yeah, he goes back to the hotout. He stops to some woman while
- 41:12everyone's cheering, and he's like, you made it all this possible. All
- 41:14right, let me go back to that because I don't think I remember exactly
- 41:20when that was or what he says. Yeah, oh, I see her
- 41:24now, Okay, I don't know who that is. No clue. She
- 41:30says, thank you, sir, Without you this with me possible. Then
- 41:34it zooms in on her face and she just shakes his hand. She I
- 41:37assume she was one of the scientists. Got me, folks, Yeah,
- 41:42have you seen her before? Remembers only only the second episode. I don't
- 41:45remember. H y'all got me anyone, you know, leave a comment let
- 41:50us know where we miss that, because I have no clue who that woman
- 41:52is. And that was bugging me because, like I say, she's not
- 41:54the two. It's a couple who are running the machine, you know,
- 41:59the harvest machine. Yeah, there's a couple of the white couple yep,
- 42:02and that's not her. So yeah, done, Well, we're gonna understand
- 42:07her significance soon, I'm sure and that and again I just presumed it is
- 42:12related to this whole the harvest and all this other stuff. So yep,
- 42:15and that is something we've only seen the first well i'd only seen the first
- 42:19two episodes, so going forward, everything is brand new to us as well.
- 42:22Something is telling me that she's going to be a retcon type character where
- 42:27they're gonna say she was in all these other pertinent areas, you know,
- 42:31in the background, you know that you see all these past movies, she
- 42:34was there. She she was actually this other person in the skies, right,
- 42:37and she's the one who got the DNA, Like maybe she's the one
- 42:39who got the DNA from group and got the DNA from extremists and all this
- 42:45other stuff. Like for the last thirty years, she'd been the one who
- 42:47was pretending to be a child in a kid or oh no, was that
- 42:52a man who was the scurol that was leading fury, Like when when they
- 42:54when Homeboy blew up the town square in Moscow, you know that was that
- 43:00was? That was okay? So no, I go back to my first
- 43:05thing, where I'm like, they're probably gonna use her as a reccond and
- 43:07say she was in every fucking movie where you just didn't know it, just
- 43:09like aunt Man was there, you just never saw him. And where it
- 43:13was, uh um, call up city and oh yeah, his hand was
- 43:19somewhere in the Arctic. Wow. Yeah, right, because he was in
- 43:23Wakanda fighting the Holt and that severed by doctor Strange's sportal portal into um it
- 43:31was somewhere like no, no, that's right. He that happens early in
- 43:36the movie when he's fighting him in New York and then yeah, Strange puts
- 43:40but it's like he know, he drops him in the artic and then his
- 43:45hand gets severed into New York is where it is? Yes, okay,
- 43:49so yeah, so his hand was in New York. So pretty easy to
- 43:51find, I guess, bro funny funny story. The internet had been saying,
- 43:57you know, if we know that about doctor Strange's portals, why didn't
- 43:59he use that to sever Thanos's hand when he had the gauntlet. And I'm
- 44:04like, well, we wouldn't have a movie, because you wouldn't have a
- 44:07movie, And it's all someone of those things. Verole was reaching forward.
- 44:09You know, you can't open the portal around his hand and then you know,
- 44:14think he's hand yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, like
- 44:19it's gotta be timed right, and yeah, yeah, that's just not so
- 44:22easy with the dude who's not going to be like Thanos was never reaching out
- 44:25to you to punch you dog. You know, he never needed to do
- 44:29that. Do I look like an idiot to you? You know, he
- 44:30would yell out that some shit like that. Man, it was turning your
- 44:32ass to bubbles before he was uh yeah. And then like towards the end,
- 44:39you see Fury return to some home, some nice home in the suburb
- 44:45somewhere where he comes home to a scroll woman who then shape shifts into a
- 44:52black woman and he goes another room. Was on his right, kid,
- 44:57I kind of saw that, Like, I think it's kind of obvious that
- 44:59he would end up marrying or living with or domiciling with. I don't even
- 45:02know what to call it. A scroll he's married. I mean, he
- 45:06puts the ring back on, you know, And the first time I watched
- 45:09it, I wasn't sure if he knew sure it was a scroll. And
- 45:13then the second time I watched it, I realized, yeah, well,
- 45:15look this man is washed. But but if you've been married somebody. I
- 45:20think you've been married a few years. I think you can see it out
- 45:22all right. But then the second time I watch, I realized the woman
- 45:24is the same woman who introduces him to graphic in ninety five. He's a
- 45:30good minute likely and they've probably been together most of the know that that boy
- 45:35was already born, is already born to other people? Who gets murdered?
- 45:38Yeah? No, no, And the physiology, I don't think of scrolls
- 45:42and humans words like that, where they could have had scrolls and humans can
- 45:45have babies. I doubt it they can't. I thought they could procreate.
- 45:49It'd be highly illogical if they could think about it, you know, the
- 45:52different planets, like it was hot, they're different planets. Reproductive organs are
- 45:59just trying to happen to be like ours when they're shape shifters. Who said
- 46:04about it, like wait, wait, wait, don't necessarily have to be
- 46:07like ours? Can they somehow procreate with us and create babies? Can they
- 46:14use our DNA in some way shape before? Maybe it's not through the sexual
- 46:17relations like we know, but can they do it? Who knows? That's
- 46:22you know, that's another story. But I would have to say you're right,
- 46:24they would probably have a better chance than most races. And when the
- 46:28shape doesn't, don't don't they inside shape shift too? Yeah, that's I
- 46:30would say. I would think they could, you know, perhaps get working
- 46:34organs and then boom boom boom and yeah to boom boom boom nine months later.
- 46:39That's better explain to the kid how how babies come from? Well,
- 46:43we go boom boom boom appeared. Well, I mean it starts with a
- 46:46little boom boom boom and there he and and you know, other things happen.
- 46:52And were you surprised by that seeing that Fury was married to a squirl?
- 46:55Yes, the first time. I'm like by that. I was like,
- 47:00oh, that's how could you be surprised by that? He's been working
- 47:02with these people for so processes stroll, I mean him being married that okay,
- 47:07that's being married. Yes, because at one point he mentioned that.
- 47:13I think that throws back to what's the one where Cap when that's the first
- 47:17Winter Soldier, when Cap goes on the run, right, and when you
- 47:22know, when Fury goes on the run, when he shows up at his
- 47:23house, When he shows up at CAP's house, he says something about having
- 47:28a wife, but it seemed like he was saying that it's part of his
- 47:30cover story, so it didn't seem like that was a true thing. But
- 47:35they could reference that again, you know, and go back to that they
- 47:37want he actually did tell the truth all those ye or I mean, well,
- 47:40it's it's only cap he told that too, and capping around to talk
- 47:44about it, so it don't really matter at this point. Yeah. So
- 47:47yeah, he's married, got his stroll wife, so he's definitely not down
- 47:52with falls worth plan and you know, obviously graphics plan. So because falls
- 47:58Worth would definitely murder his wife for no problem. Here's the thing. I
- 48:02have a question. There is another dude with the whole wife thing. But
- 48:07you know, when we go back and they say, oh, could we
- 48:08call the Avengers and stuff? What avengers? Who? Who the fuck are
- 48:12they calling? There's there's nobody to call. Oh Nat is dead? Uh,
- 48:20Hawkeye washed? Who the fuck knows where iron Man is? Um tot?
- 48:27Who the hell knows what? Door? Well, we know he's in
- 48:29out of fucking space somewhere somewhere, Oh Captain Marvel in the space or he's
- 48:34trying to save if it's coming at the same time and he and that other
- 48:36than mention there because cath America's dead. They've even been having meetings Captain Marvel
- 48:44Rocket Raccoon Shane. She was introduced to them one. Okay, yeah,
- 48:49they considered the new Avengers. Yes, they've been meeting as you know,
- 48:52their other unless they got another name like the Ultimates. They've been meeting as
- 48:58a team. Remember that was shown at the shame sheet, like all of
- 49:00them, you know, the Hulk, it's still meeting with them. So
- 49:02she Hulk would be now involved because you know, Wholk would reference them.
- 49:07So there is a team you could form, you know. So, yeah,
- 49:13there is a potential. It's not the old Aventuers, that's for sure.
- 49:16No life. I mean you're gonna have to at some point, you
- 49:22know how you said, I mean it wasn't a defensive Yes, you just
- 49:25said, I mean, I ain't got no choice. He had no choice,
- 49:29and the first one, when you know, when he formed the Adventures,
- 49:31it was just this is who he had and hope it worked out.
- 49:35They spend most of the first movie fighting, so you know it worked out
- 49:37of the end. I felt like they were kind of matured that at that
- 49:40point, right't like not especially Tony Starker is far from mature. You know,
- 49:45Bruce not a mature person, but matured. And Bruce Banner is a
- 49:52walking time bomb. You know. They had problems on the First Adventures,
- 49:55like Captain America's school, Black Widows are ex murder were you know, with
- 50:00all kind of issues of our own. Captain America's a man out of time,
- 50:04so he got issues. Like they had issues, you know, it's
- 50:06not like they were Thor obviously issues Daddy's you know, issues all that type
- 50:10of ship. Look, no, I trust Shane she more you know,
- 50:16uh, surey, you know, call up sure definitely. What are they
- 50:21gonna call up? Call up Younger Ventures? Like what are they going?
- 50:24Got Hawk? You know? She'll she like like if you call him,
- 50:29he would be like, Yo, call Shorty called Kate. I'm done,
- 50:32I'm washed, you know, like I'm here with the fam called Kate.
- 50:37You know. So that's how you would get the new Younger Ventures just like
- 50:40you know, Kate would come in. Who else are they shown? Thor's
- 50:44a little shorty? Um tell yeah, the little girl? Yeah, Iron
- 50:47Patriot? Would you know to do from cap is around? You know,
- 50:52but like I don't think they're gonna be called up like that at all.
- 50:55That's the thing I think, you know, when whatever the That's Adventures movie
- 50:59is still could be grown as a vengeance, it ain't gonna to your right.
- 51:01Yeah, I just gotta say that again. I feel like I'm saying
- 51:05this like every Disney Plus show, where is Valentina? Where's her? And
- 51:08her nigga's Like, I want to see her, and I want to see
- 51:12that idiot, your favorite, that nigga, the fake Captain America. What
- 51:15is that man's name that got served by the dormlaja us agent. Yes him,
- 51:20Yes, John walking out because he's so fucking funny in his idiocy.
- 51:24So I want to see him. You see him, You probably see Valentina.
- 51:28But you know, like I say, look, remember these contracts only
- 51:31go so far from him, not everybody's. Don't be in every show or
- 51:36I can see. I think I'm a piece of her, you know how
- 51:37she says like five words and yeah, Valentina, I definitely think will show
- 51:40up in is this a secret invasion? You know at some point I feel
- 51:43like you're show up now? Yeah, your boy, I doubt we see
- 51:46him again into Thunderballs whatever. I guess that's been rich I feel about I
- 51:52love him, but you know, I'll wait, um, so what are
- 51:54we what are we hopeful for or what are we predicting is happening in episode
- 51:59three of Secret Invasion. I don't know, I'll be honest, like,
- 52:04right now, it's just going yeah, and this show is not really like
- 52:07blowing my mind where I'm like, oh no, it's just like, all
- 52:10right, well, this guy's got an idiot plan and Fury you got to
- 52:14stop them. Like I am interested to see what's happening in the story,
- 52:17but to your point, I'm not like, oh, I need to rush
- 52:20to the TV every week, Like I don't feel that way quite yet.
- 52:23I don't know if I will, but we do got to give it time.
- 52:25Also, the crazy part is there's not a lot of time anyway,
- 52:29right, Like it's only six episodes, right, and it's the only six
- 52:31episode total, four more to go, and it's just like, well,
- 52:35what kind of ground are they going to cover? And they literally have to
- 52:37go you know, through heaven and Earth in terms of covering a lot of
- 52:43ground in the next two episodes, right, So like what could they possibly
- 52:45do? I mean this, what is the conflict right now? Gravick has
- 52:52been named Scrolled General Graviic has been given essentially absolute power to do whatever the
- 52:59fuck he wants with the Secret Scroll Army. Nick Fury is one hundred and
- 53:05ten percent rogue right now, He's gonna do what the fuck you want to
- 53:07do. All his niggas is dead and or excuming Nicado. And I mean
- 53:13he's basically John Wick at this point, right, And I mean, and
- 53:17then you have you have Gaya, who's essentially a double agent. At this
- 53:22point, what the fuck else is happening? Like Gravis is going to continue
- 53:27to try to kill everybody can, so I mean, let the body hit
- 53:30the floor, But what else is happening? And who? Basically to me,
- 53:34it's like, okay, now we're at the point where Fury has to
- 53:37find some more allies. Where is he finding these people he has? He
- 53:42can't do this shit along. As much as he wants to say, there's
- 53:44my ward, is my ward? He can't do it by himself. No,
- 53:45man's an island. Where's your hill? Where's the help? That's a
- 53:50good question, now that I'm interested, Will we see other people come in?
- 53:52I don't think it's all I mean, I think he needs to rally
- 53:54around with Tatoes his daughter. Y'all have to get what's her name on his
- 54:00side. Agen Colston ain't come in. Who the fuck's helping him? He
- 54:05has to get falseworth on his side. He has to figure that relationship out
- 54:07where you know, he's like, you can't murder all these people. You
- 54:12know, She's gonna be like, why not. Yeah, she's gonna give
- 54:15me a good reason why I shouldn't. Yeah, He's gonna have to convince
- 54:16her because that's the only way that he can win this fight. And like
- 54:20you said, this is not a show where we're gonna see somebody introducing the
- 54:23third episode who hasn't already been there, like maybe one, maybe one or
- 54:28two more players, you know, but most of the players are set at
- 54:30this point because everyone's introduced permission in the first episode. But if most of
- 54:35the players are set, who the hell else? Like what happens next?
- 54:37Are they gonna just reveal super squell next? Like what happens next? Like
- 54:39who? I don't? And maybe that's what I'm arguing about, which is
- 54:44like what more Gravit do before he just blows up? I was gonna say,
- 54:47this is more like a privilege, like privileged viewpoint about the fact that
- 54:51I can't track what's really should happen next because it doesn't. Nothing seems logical
- 54:54about what would happen next, because I don't see. You said that the
- 54:58players are set, but I don't see where this goals in the next episode.
- 55:02Gravicator continue to try and develop the super Scroll ship. You know,
- 55:07I don't know why, because I developed already. I thought he said,
- 55:08it's almost time for the harvest. No, they keep trying to do it.
- 55:12Remember the scientists are sitting there pulling the trigger and and she was like,
- 55:16you don't have it or something. I don't know, but he's yeah,
- 55:20he's still trying to gather information, you know, ingredients whatever to cook
- 55:23his pop. So ye like, yeah, you know, yeah, he's
- 55:30out there, got to get the right recipe. We'll see what happened.
- 55:32You know. Dubious food, I mean so many dubious meals, boy,
- 55:38dubious meals, man, bro, I spent so much time on meals when
- 55:45I ship first, When I first lade that game, they said dubious.
- 55:46I fucking cry. I ate that ship too. Every time out it got
- 55:51sick. Damn it to yourself, wild forever and let her go to waste.
- 56:00So yeah, I don't know. Man, Like, I'm just I'm
- 56:04not that invested so far, you know, I just don't really care to
- 56:07even kind of play. I'm like, do you do you well? Do
- 56:10you hope it will change for you? I think episodes, bro, I
- 56:14really hope it will change. I really hope by next episode something, because
- 56:17that's that's probably you need a convincing villain. And I do not feel like
- 56:21Graphic is convincing. Do you think it's convincing? You think falseworth would be
- 56:24more convincing. No, neither of them re convincing. Both of them are
- 56:28too extreme and it makes no logical sense, you know, Like that's thing
- 56:31I needed, feeling like the flashmash up. I was like with them up
- 56:35until they start sense to you. Yes, half of the people gotta go
- 56:39dog. You know, It's like logic would also say, hey, maybe
- 56:43I give more so than those people would just you know, eventually steal that
- 56:47too. Fucking you know. Look, I don't I know, But the
- 56:50same though, I wasn't really down with Danels either. I don't. I
- 56:52never have been, you know, I thought he's more logical than graviing.
- 56:54No, I think the logical people were like, you know, kill Monger
- 56:59had some good ideas, the Flashmatches had some good ideas. You know,
- 57:04but if they had some good ideas, but you but you fucking shade the
- 57:07Flagsmatches every chance you get the Oh no, But I've really explained that.
- 57:12I was fully down with them until I felt the writing failed them as characters.
- 57:16I felt like it was like, no, we gotta make you know,
- 57:20and that's why I felt it was silly. And then I shaved them
- 57:22because they got blown up, and I thought I was like the fact that
- 57:27their whole thing just ended in a van, you know, like right right
- 57:30end of y'all? Right? Do you think there's now where people talk about
- 57:36MCU fatigue? And you know, in terms of the films, are you
- 57:38thinking we're experiencing Disney plus SiGe? No. I think that when things are
- 57:44exceptional, they're exceptional, and when things are average, they're average. And
- 57:46I think the show is average, okay in the story, like, I
- 57:51think this show is just average so far, and because of that, it's
- 57:53just like that's why in an average reaction. That's fair. Yeah, that's
- 58:00fair. Do you have anything else to say about episode two of not really

- 1:01:55brother Melo Brown help a brother out. Mellow Brown have created a again.
- 1:02:05This is I'm honestly still in awe, Ben, I mean, I can't
- 1:02:07fucking hold you like that, Like like, they created a graphic novel with
- 1:02:14the in partnership with the estate of Jimmy Hendrick. So this is some official
- 1:02:17shit. This ain't no I mean, no disrespect, but like, this
- 1:02:21ain't no fan fix shit. Like this is some official shit. They created
- 1:02:23a graphic novel called Hendricks about like like and and Ben, I mean can
- 1:02:29tell you more, but just inspired by the life and times and and a
- 1:02:31lot of stuff you don't really know about Jimmy and and all the creativity behind
- 1:02:37him. And it's absolutely beautiful in the way it looks, is absolutely beautiful
- 1:02:40and gorgeous in the story and I'm I'm I don't know too much about it.
- 1:02:45I've seen some stuff and this shit is this shit is out of the
- 1:02:47fucking ballpark. Okay, So I wanted to be one of the people who
- 1:02:51see this stuff fresh, and I'm telling y'all, just from the images alone,
- 1:02:54this shit is mind boggling. Please make sure you pre order. Pre
- 1:03:00Order is the most important thing you can do when it comes to comics,
- 1:03:02graphic novels, that whole lane, even just regular novels too. I just
- 1:03:07think pre ordering is important because that signals to these publishers and the people who
- 1:03:10are making who are actually printing these books, that hey, there is demand
- 1:03:15here and people want to see this. So make sure you're pre ordering number
- 1:03:17one. Go to your local comic book or bookshop to do the pre order.
- 1:03:22Number one. You don't, I have none of that. Yeah,
- 1:03:23you can go to the other big, big body shops, but we tell
- 1:03:28you just go to the local, independently owned stuff first. And I believe
- 1:03:31it comes out when November, what November seventh? And yeah, on that
- 1:03:35pre order. No, let me just say that because I learned this recently.
- 1:03:37It's really important because of weight and how much shipping costs. So especially
- 1:03:43for the local stores, they have to know exactly how much they're gonna pay
- 1:03:46for shipping that month when they're ordering these books. So it's really important.
- 1:03:52Go into your local comic book store or your local bookstore, tell them you
- 1:03:54want Jimmy Hendricks Purple Hayes. They can pull it right up. I don't
- 1:03:59notice you number off hand, but it comes right up when you search for
- 1:04:02it. It's written by me, DJ Benamine and Mellow Brown, my brother,
- 1:04:06my partner for life, and are artist is Tom Mandrake, a motherfucking
- 1:04:14legend, the legend in the game iconic, one of the great and like
- 1:04:19top down and said, it's inspired by Jimmy Hendricks, but it's also allegorical
- 1:04:25tale where it's about It's a science fiction, an afro futuristic version of Hendricks
- 1:04:31in this story, and it's related to a specific point in his career.
- 1:04:36There's not too much more I want to say. Mellow did say that,
