- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Guardian Angel of talk radio is here. Curtis
- 0:05Speaker 1: Leewah guest host the Mark Simone Show on seven tenor
- 0:15Speaker 1: Oh the hawk is talking outside it's cold and I'm
- 0:24Speaker 1: gonna ask to wonder what he's gonna be like when
- 0:27Speaker 1: the ball drops in Times Square, or the tourists in
- 0:31Speaker 1: town and on. Nobody from our area is going into
- 0:34Speaker 1: Times Square when the ball drops, you have to wear
- 0:37Speaker 1: it depends. They put you in in cattle pens. You
- 0:42Speaker 1: stand there for hours while drunk people are blowing these
- 0:46Speaker 1: horns in your ear, just so you can go back
- 0:50Speaker 1: to your country of origin and tell them you were
- 0:53Speaker 1: there when the ball dropped in Times Square. It is bizarre.
- 0:59Speaker 1: There are more depend sales on the island of Manhattan
- 1:04Speaker 1: New Year's Eve than any other day of the year,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and these are generally by younger people who are drunk.
- 1:11Speaker 1: You know what that promulgates you to do, as you
- 1:15Speaker 1: stand for six hours or more in a cattle pen,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and if you leave, you can't come back. So we'll
- 1:23Speaker 1: give you updates on that. Again, it's substituting for Mark Simon.
- 1:28Speaker 1: It's been great be able to take here to January second,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and then Mark will be back, So I want to
- 1:34Speaker 1: make sure is he who also is a refuge from WABC,
- 1:42Speaker 1: which used to be always broadcasting Curtis. Now it's always
- 1:44Speaker 1: bashing Curtis. And you've found a home of your own
- 1:47Speaker 1: here at seven to ten WOR and I hope so
- 1:50Speaker 1: many of you newfound listeners have done such. It's a
- 1:55Speaker 1: great article if you get a chance to look at
- 1:58Speaker 1: brought to my attention by Tom Cuddy Side Radio, and
- 2:02Speaker 1: the headline is Curtis Lee was radio persona resonates with
- 2:08Speaker 1: a new generation. That means, you know, millennials, gen zs.
- 2:13Speaker 1: I happen to be a baby boom, I like so
- 2:15Speaker 1: many of you, seventy one soon to be seventy two
- 2:19Speaker 1: on March twenty six. So that says a lot. And
- 2:24Speaker 1: that how we have to pivot and shift and understand
- 2:28Speaker 1: that the audience that we're talking to, no matter what
- 2:31Speaker 1: platform you're using, it's changing. We baby boomas when no
- 2:35Speaker 1: longer the majority, I know for a lot of you.
- 2:37Speaker 2: We pay the bills, we have the wealthechy Yeah yeah, yeah, Okay,
- 2:41Speaker 2: We're going to talk about that later on because there's
- 2:44Speaker 2: this concept out there and I had quite a battle
- 2:48Speaker 2: yesterday with the Wall Street Journal that he who has
- 2:51Speaker 2: the gold makes the rules, and I.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Said, no, no, no, no, no no. I operate by the Golden rule.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
- 3:02Speaker 1: We'll get it to that momentarily. We'll get into that momentarily,
- 3:07Speaker 1: but you gotta read this article. It's really great. It
- 3:10Speaker 1: shows you the shifting dynamics and it led to the
- 3:14Speaker 1: election of Zoraimandami that's being talked about with his swearing in,
- 3:19Speaker 1: and I'll get into all those nitty gritty details with you,
- 3:23Speaker 1: but you got to read Inside Radio Curtis Lee was
- 3:26Speaker 1: radio persona resonates with a new generation and how WABC
- 3:33Speaker 1: so desperately wants me to come back. And it's sort
- 3:37Speaker 1: of like I should be like lady God Guy's poker
- 3:40Speaker 1: face to them, right, But I can't. My expressions are
- 3:48Speaker 1: and they listen intently, as to so many WABC listeners,
- 3:52Speaker 1: who I hope we'll discover WOOR the voice of New
- 3:56Speaker 1: York seven to ten as a place for them to
- 3:58Speaker 1: be as it was for me when I was growing
- 4:00Speaker 1: up from time to time, and I'm sure for many
- 4:03Speaker 1: of you, and of course they're the hardcore listeners to
- 4:05Speaker 1: this station. But you got said in the Morning, he's
- 4:10Speaker 1: tests healed from the Godfather. You got Greg Kelly, he's
- 4:13Speaker 1: Moe Green. And then there's Dominic Carter, he's Salazzo. And
- 4:17Speaker 1: so some people are on occasion they'll see me in
- 4:19Speaker 1: the streets of the subways, because I'm in the streets
- 4:21Speaker 1: and subways every day. And oh, you're going back to WABC.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I said, no, I'm substituting for Mark Simone at war.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It for me would be like remember Lady Gaga. Speaking
- 4:31Speaker 1: of Lady Gaga, is he at the MTV Music Awards
- 4:34Speaker 1: in twenty ten when she showed up dressed up in
- 4:37Speaker 1: a raw flank steak dress? Oh? Is that that was
- 4:43Speaker 1: solo budget? But it would be the equivalent of me
- 4:46Speaker 1: walking into a cage of hungry dobleman pinchers with pork
- 4:50Speaker 1: chop pants on. It ain't happening. So read the article.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It's really good. Some of you, if you are connecting
- 5:00Speaker 1: the dots, might actually figure out in which direction I'll
- 5:05Speaker 1: be going. But yesterday a very intense sit down two
- 5:09Speaker 1: hours with the Wall Street Journal. And you know, the
- 5:13Speaker 1: Wall Street Journal is owned by Murdoch and represents the
- 5:16Speaker 1: interests of the masters of the universe, the billionaires, fortune
- 5:21Speaker 1: five hundred companies, hedge fund monsters, and people with a
- 5:26Speaker 1: lot of money, and they believe in this concept. It's
- 5:31Speaker 1: clear when you read the newspaper that he who has
- 5:34Speaker 1: the gold makes the rules. Wealth financial power gives you
- 5:40Speaker 1: authority and control, and the person that has the power
- 5:45Speaker 1: to dictate the terms and set the conditions is he
- 5:50Speaker 1: who has the gold. There are a lot of people,
- 5:53Speaker 1: especially in our country, who believe exactly that I don't.
- 5:56Speaker 1: I never have. It was never raised that way. Ashes
- 5:59Speaker 1: to add his dust to dust. You come into this
- 6:01Speaker 1: world with bupkus and you leave with bupkus. I don't
- 6:08Speaker 1: live along those lines. My belief is from any of you.
- 6:12Speaker 1: No matter how you were raised, the way you were raised,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I'm sure you were exposed to the golden rule doing
- 6:18Speaker 1: to others as you would have them do unto you,
- 6:22Speaker 1: and that encourages fairness and empathy. So it was quite
- 6:29Speaker 1: a wrestling match between me and this very esteemed reporter.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He covered me in the after baths and my lost
- 6:37Speaker 1: to Eric Adams in twenty twenty one. When I warned you,
- 6:39Speaker 1: remember heresy, I warned everyone he would be corrupt, it
- 6:42Speaker 1: would be chaos. The most corrupt mayor in the history
- 6:46Speaker 1: of New York City. And boy that says a lot,
- 6:49Speaker 1: because we've had a lot of corrupt mayors. So then
- 6:53Speaker 1: we got into the discussion about the new kid on
- 6:56Speaker 1: the blocks or Hanmandami. Remember a year ago, not even
- 7:00Speaker 1: his neighbors in that storia knew for sure who's are
- 7:03Speaker 1: on my Domie was. I mean, let's face it, who
- 7:05Speaker 1: the hell knew who's are on Mondamie was? And now
- 7:09Speaker 1: he is an international figure, hated or loved, but he
- 7:15Speaker 1: is gonna be sworn in to office right after midnight,
- 7:20Speaker 1: when the ball is dropping in Times Square and all
- 7:24Speaker 1: the outer towns are going cuckolamunga. Many of you will
- 7:28Speaker 1: be in other prices, maybe watching it on TV, and
- 7:33Speaker 1: he will be sworn in. And this is very cool.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I gotta give them props. Uh yeah, oh w yeah,
- 7:41Speaker 1: you see you always four zoro. No, when you aren't props,
- 7:45Speaker 1: you aren't props. They have chosen the private ceremony of
- 7:49Speaker 1: swearing it at twelve midnight, when the ball drops in
- 7:52Speaker 1: the abandoned subway station that's right underneath City Hall, which
- 7:56Speaker 1: I've been into many times, not supposed to. It's magnificent.
- 8:04Speaker 1: It is a remarkable architectural achievement right under City Hall Park.
- 8:09Speaker 1: It's got the terra cotta tiles, it's got twelve brass chandeliers,
- 8:14Speaker 1: there's a curved platform skylights. It's distinctly European. I mean,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I always would go to Europe and I would look
- 8:23Speaker 1: at their train facilities or their subway system ten times
- 8:28Speaker 1: better than ours. Architecture design. You go to Paris Metro,
- 8:34Speaker 1: they have rubber wheels, you know. You go up to Montreal,
- 8:37Speaker 1: they play they play classical music. They have rubber wheels.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It doesn't attack your senses. That is a very cool place.
- 8:47Speaker 1: He's gonna be sworn in by Chis James, the Attorney General.
- 8:51Speaker 1: And I'm sure with family and friends. That station was
- 8:54Speaker 1: actually put out of business in forty five. And if
- 8:58Speaker 1: you take the six train to the last stop, which
- 9:00Speaker 1: is City Hall, the sixth Strain, as you know, continues
- 9:03Speaker 1: going downtown, but it goes in sort of like an
- 9:06Speaker 1: oblong it goes around in order to go back uptown,
- 9:09Speaker 1: and that's when it passes through that station. So the
- 9:15Speaker 1: reporter for the Wall Street Channel said, have you been
- 9:17Speaker 1: invited to that ceremony. I said, no, of course, not
- 9:20Speaker 1: not family and friends. He goes, well, what about the
- 9:24Speaker 1: next day on the first, when Bertie the outa Coaca
- 9:29Speaker 1: Sanders is going to be delivering the oath of office
- 9:32Speaker 1: to Zoran Mandami in the public inauguration right in front
- 9:36Speaker 1: of City Hall. Jan and I haven't been to one
- 9:39Speaker 1: of those since Rudy Giuliani was inaugurated on the front
- 9:46Speaker 1: steps of the city Hall back in nineteen ninety four.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Remember when Andrew his son was climbing all over the
- 9:51Speaker 1: podium and how many times did Chris Farley do that
- 9:55Speaker 1: imitation and lampoon him in Saturday night Life.
- 9:59Speaker 2: It was great.
- 10:00Speaker 1: But I remember sitting there was cold, and the hawk
- 10:03Speaker 1: was talking and David Dinkins was there. See, that is
- 10:10Speaker 1: what should happen. And I know of late in local
- 10:13Speaker 1: elections and regional and statewide elections and certainly the federal election.
- 10:19Speaker 1: You know when Trump said I'm not gonna be there,
- 10:22Speaker 1: Biden stole you late. No no, no, no, no, no, you lose
- 10:26Speaker 1: you sit there. This is what's great about America is
- 10:31Speaker 1: that there is the changeover of authority and power. And
- 10:35Speaker 1: you want everybody to see that. It's gracious that this
- 10:41Speaker 1: is what one of the things that are so great
- 10:43Speaker 1: about the country. Well, the sitting mayor who decided he
- 10:46Speaker 1: wasn't gonna run for office because he was gonna get
- 10:48Speaker 1: beat if he ran a second time. Any which way
- 10:51Speaker 1: you looked at it, he's playing this game. You know
- 10:55Speaker 1: what was me? Maybe I'll go possibly could be Hey,
- 10:59Speaker 1: by the way, I want to write book. I got
- 11:01Speaker 1: that title here. I didn't do nothing wrong. I didn't
- 11:04Speaker 1: do nothing wrong by Eric Adams and he said you
- 11:07Speaker 1: heard in the news clip. He wants to get involved
- 11:10Speaker 1: in cryptocurrency, which is the world of bitcoin, better known
- 11:14Speaker 1: as crime coin. With all those nefarious characters, they're perfect
- 11:19Speaker 1: for him. Cuomo, I don't know. Yeah, he's just sow loser.
- 11:23Speaker 1: He probably slid it under that rock out in the
- 11:26Speaker 1: Hamptons with his billionaire friends. And do you know something,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I have not gotten an invitation. The question is what
- 11:35Speaker 1: should I do? Should I just show up? I mean
- 11:40Speaker 1: I competed against him. Should I sit there and say, yeah, yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: this is what our democracy is about. I lost. I'm
- 11:48Speaker 1: not a sol loser like Cuomo or Eric Adams. And
- 11:53Speaker 1: then afterwards, you know they got that block party there
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know through the canyon the heroes like gonna be
- 11:59Speaker 1: forty fifty thousands zorin easters. So I want to ask
- 12:03Speaker 1: you a question. Should I Should I even bother showing up?
- 12:06Speaker 1: Because look, I'm the mayor of the people. Look, I'm
- 12:08Speaker 1: in the subways and streets every day. You know, I
- 12:11Speaker 1: get it. Zoron is doing his initial swearing in at
- 12:14Speaker 1: midnight in the first subway station ever built in New
- 12:18Speaker 1: York City nineteen oh four. It is magnificent, but he's
- 12:22Speaker 1: trying to say, yeah, you see, I'm synergistic with the
- 12:25Speaker 1: pep KHN, So you don't write this Subways Cormo never
- 12:28Speaker 1: did Adams on occasion, you know, with his posse of
- 12:34Speaker 1: twenty four bodyguards on the NYPD while he was on
- 12:37Speaker 1: his way to a club till the break a dawn,
- 12:39Speaker 1: because you know, man, he didn't leave clubs until like
- 12:41Speaker 1: four in the morning. Part of his problem. Although it's
- 12:46Speaker 1: interesting because Zoron Mandami and his father, the professor of
- 12:52Speaker 1: African Studies at Columbia University, who is infamous in his
- 12:55Speaker 1: own right, actually had dinner at Eric Adams's invitation. Yeah yeah,
- 13:01Speaker 1: Eric Gadams, like tough guy, get out of here. You
- 13:04Speaker 1: had dinner with these guys and you know what he
- 13:06Speaker 1: said his interest was. And this is before Zoran obviously
- 13:11Speaker 1: was running for mayor. He was just the assemblyman that
- 13:15Speaker 1: very few people knew in Estoria. He wanted to know
- 13:18Speaker 1: all about Ed I mean from Uganda. Ed I men yeah,
- 13:26Speaker 1: d I mean in Tebby remember working with Kadafi at
- 13:30Speaker 1: that time. I well, was Kadafi our friend or our fae?
- 13:33Speaker 1: I don't know one minute? He's a friend of fall anyway,
- 13:35Speaker 1: he was an anti semi. Remember they took those Israelies.
- 13:39Speaker 1: They held them hostage, including BB's Bibe's brother who went
- 13:44Speaker 1: in there with the IDF to rescue you and unfortunately
- 13:47Speaker 1: he was the only one killed. And Ed I mean
- 13:52Speaker 1: who was best known for taking his political enemies and
- 13:55Speaker 1: feeding them to crocodiles in Lake Victoria, or so sometimes
- 14:00Speaker 1: eating them. And then he was drilling out of Uganda
- 14:05Speaker 1: by Hansania and guess who who gave him a place
- 14:08Speaker 1: to stay until he died and went straight to hell
- 14:11Speaker 1: without an asbestos suit. Saudi Arabia the house of fraud,
- 14:17Speaker 1: with the fake phony, fraudulent princes, you know, with the
- 14:22Speaker 1: schmantas on their heads and the fake beards and mustaches.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And then when you see him here in Manhattan, which
- 14:27Speaker 1: I've seen many times, they got the knockoff Armani suits,
- 14:30Speaker 1: they're chasing skirts, they're doing blow. It's the Western Way.
- 14:34Speaker 1: But when they go back to the land of Mecca
- 14:37Speaker 1: and Medina, all of a sudden they are the guardians
- 14:40Speaker 1: of the faith. Get out of here. So the question
- 14:44Speaker 1: is should I stay or should I go? I haven't
- 14:48Speaker 1: been invited. It's not like I'm asking to be invited.
- 14:53Speaker 1: But the proper courtesy would be to show that this
- 14:59Speaker 1: is how them because he works. You got a winner
- 15:02Speaker 1: and you got a loser. And we would hope that
- 15:04Speaker 1: jore On Mondami does well because if he does well,
- 15:08Speaker 1: the city does well. Or should I be like a
- 15:11Speaker 1: lot of other people say, oh, you don't want to
- 15:13Speaker 1: be seen there. Nah, he's gonna crash and burn. It's
- 15:17Speaker 1: gonna be horrible. So I'm gonna leave it up to
- 15:19Speaker 1: you or the audience. What should I do? Because the
- 15:24Speaker 1: Wall Street Journal wanted to know, and I said, I
- 15:27Speaker 1: have no idea what I'm going to do. Maybe they'll
- 15:31Speaker 1: tell me the invitation was lost in the mail. You
- 15:34Speaker 1: know that's typical, right, Oh, we mailed it out to
- 15:37Speaker 1: snall mail. By the way, I opened up that envelope
- 15:41Speaker 1: that came in yesterday, the snail mail is the uh
- 15:44Speaker 1: there was no antras in there. You okay? I know
- 15:47Speaker 1: you took the ship pro a prophylactic just in case
- 15:50Speaker 1: you're okay. So let's fire up the numbers. Here the
- 15:54Speaker 1: voice in New York seven to ten wor your new
- 15:56Speaker 1: station to be eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna put this all on all of you out
- 16:03Speaker 1: there to be my CONSEIGLIERI to give me a little guidance.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Tell me what should I do? You know me, I'll
- 16:10Speaker 1: just show up anywhere, anytime, any place I'm missing in
- 16:13Speaker 1: New York City, There's no doubt about it. But would
- 16:16Speaker 1: that be ghosts? Would that be sort of low budget
- 16:19Speaker 1: for me just to show up, especially if you haven't
- 16:22Speaker 1: been invited? Or should I just moan and groan like
- 16:25Speaker 1: I'm Rodney danger Field, you know, the candidate who gets
- 16:28Speaker 1: no respect and just just to avoid going there, I'm
- 16:33Speaker 1: leaving it up to all of you. One eight hundred
- 16:36Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten. That's one eight
- 16:40Speaker 1: hundred three to two one zero seven ten. Then yeah,
- 16:43Speaker 1: we'll get to the fraud by the Somalians in Minnesota.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I know you're all getting bent out of shape. And
- 16:48Speaker 1: what about all that COVID fraud from fortune five hundred
- 16:51Speaker 1: companies and businesses about five hundred million that they owe us.
- 16:56Speaker 1: We're gonna go after them too, or are we just
- 16:59Speaker 1: stopping with the Somalians? Think about that, you see, challenge authority.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Don't just repeat what you last heard. This is good.
- 17:08Speaker 1: We're gonna after corruption. But are we gonna draw a
- 17:10Speaker 1: line and say, well, it's just the Somalians? Are we
- 17:14Speaker 1: gonna go after religious groups and secular groups that we
- 17:17Speaker 1: know all about that we want to protect because they've
- 17:19Speaker 1: been ripping us off for years, for millions and billions
- 17:25Speaker 1: one eight hundred and three to two one zero seven ten.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Gotta be careful, is he? I don't want to blow
- 17:30Speaker 1: it up here for Mark Simon. This is his show.
- 17:32Speaker 1: So I'm just gonna give you a few orders. Hang
- 17:35Speaker 1: around for the entrees in your place to be seven
- 17:38Speaker 1: ten wor
