  hear today's play from Mark 15, which

  says, "With a loud cry, Jesus breathed

  his last. The curtain of the temple was

  torn in two from top to bottom. And when

  the centurion who stood there in front

  of Jesus saw how he died, he said,

  God." The tearing of the temple in Mark

  15 is packed with theological

  significance. First, it means a

  separation of God's presence, the holy

  action was initiated by God for men and

  not men from God. God moved first to

  reconcile men to himself. Our

  responsibility is to respond to the
