- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is rated M for Misty. Yes, that's right,
- 0:04Speaker 1: this is a Misty episode, so it will be laced
- 0:06Speaker 1: with profanity even more than usual. If you're not comfortable
- 0:10Speaker 1: with this level of profanity, perhaps this isn't the episode
- 0:13Speaker 1: for you. But we have many other episodes to choose
- 0:15Speaker 1: from that do not feature Misty and will probably be
- 0:17Speaker 1: far less offensive. Okay, maybe. With that having been said,
- 0:22Speaker 1: on with the show.
- 0:33Speaker 2: It's showtime, folks.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Enjoy the show.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:25Speaker 4: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown. I'm Brian.
- 1:27Speaker 5: I'm Misty.
- 1:28Speaker 6: And I'm Jay.
- 1:30Speaker 4: And we're coming to you live via digital recording. We're
- 1:32Speaker 4: turning to the bastion of awesomeness.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Hell yeah.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:37Speaker 4: It's been a while. I thought we needed to come
- 1:39Speaker 4: back to the Bastion. So, it's also been a while
- 1:42Speaker 4: since we talked to you guys. What have you been
- 1:44Speaker 4: up to?
- 1:46Speaker 5: Plotting.
- 1:48Speaker 4: I don't put that past you at all.
- 1:50Speaker 5: I've been watching a lot of forensic files and cold
- 1:52Speaker 5: case files, so I'm making sure I've got all my
- 1:54Speaker 5: bases covered.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So you know how to do it and cover things
- 1:58Speaker 4: up properly?
- 1:58Speaker 5: How to not get caught.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Because really, with all those shows that are on now,
- 2:02Speaker 4: people should stop making all these stupid mistakes.
- 2:04Speaker 5: No shit. They tell you what to do to get caught.
- 2:08Speaker 5: You're just retarded to get caught at this point because
- 2:10Speaker 5: there's just so much out there. They tell you exactly what... People.
- 2:15Speaker 5: Come on now.
- 2:16Speaker 4: It was so easy to kill people back in the 70s.
- 2:18Speaker 5: No doubt.
- 2:19Speaker 4: You could just do whatever you wanted.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Everybody was talking about how today's so much more scarier. Oh,
- 2:24Speaker 5: you know what?
- 2:25Speaker 4: No, it's the same.
- 2:26Speaker 5: No, it's worse. It was worse back then. There were
- 2:28Speaker 5: more notorious serial killers and stuff in like the 70s.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 4: 70s was like the heyday of serial killers.
- 2:34Speaker 7: You just didn't hear as much about it because news
- 2:36Speaker 7: didn't travel instantly. Now we're plugged into everything that happens
- 2:40Speaker 7: all around the globe at any certain time.
- 2:42Speaker 4: And worse than that, media is very different than it
- 2:45Speaker 4: used to be. There it used to be they would
- 2:46Speaker 4: cover that stuff up. Like they didn't want it to
- 2:48Speaker 4: get out to the public. Now, oh my God, we
- 2:51Speaker 4: can get, A, they'll get ratings out of it. Let's
- 2:53Speaker 4: throw it out there as much as possible. But more
- 2:55Speaker 4: than that, what I usually fault media for at this
- 2:57Speaker 4: point is like, They're just on too much. It used
- 3:00Speaker 4: to be like, here's a half hour at the end
- 3:03Speaker 4: of the day. Now it's like 24-hour networks running constantly
- 3:06Speaker 4: and multiples. So it's just like they have to come
- 3:09Speaker 4: up with something all day long.
- 3:11Speaker 7: You get bombarded constantly. Anytime you get online, if you're
- 3:15Speaker 7: on Facebook, if you're on anything.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Crime happens in California. We know about it. Back in
- 3:20Speaker 5: the 60s and 70s.
- 3:22Speaker 4: You probably would have never heard about it unless it
- 3:24Speaker 4: was a huge national news kind of thing.
- 3:27Speaker 5: You don't care.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I don't care about crime happening in California.
- 3:30Speaker 5: But I'm just saying it's there constantly.
- 3:32Speaker 2: It is.
- 3:32Speaker 4: Yeah, it was always going on.
- 3:33Speaker 2: It was always going on, but I just didn't hear
- 3:36Speaker 2: about it 24-7.
- 3:36Speaker 5: Everybody's like, oh, it's a new epidemic. No, there was
- 3:40Speaker 5: a lot crazier shit going on back in the day.
- 3:43Speaker 4: That's kind of what I've always said. People are always like, well,
- 3:45Speaker 4: back in the good old days.
- 3:46Speaker 5: I'm like, no. We could leave our doors unlocked.
- 3:48Speaker 4: The good old days were horrible, too. You just didn't
- 3:49Speaker 4: hear about all that stuff.
- 3:50Speaker 5: So we could leave our doors unlocked, yes. And then
- 3:53Speaker 5: the hillside strangler came in and you were dead.
- 3:55Speaker 2: We left our doors unlocked just because we lived out
- 3:56Speaker 2: in the middle of nowhere.
- 3:58Speaker 5: Yeah, we did too.
- 3:59Speaker 4: I just locked my door.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I just locked my door now.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Because I'm a paranoid bastard. I locked my door to
- 4:04Speaker 4: my room. And my parents didn't like that.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we do too.
- 4:08Speaker 5: I don't like that our door is not like steel.
- 4:11Speaker 5: I told Jay, I want our door to our bedroom
- 4:14Speaker 5: to be like one of those bank vault doors.
- 4:17Speaker 4: Can you have the little safety eye holder? Well, actually,
- 4:20Speaker 4: I want.
- 4:20Speaker 5: Night vision cameras. I don't want the frame so they can't.
- 4:23Speaker 5: I'm just very paranoid.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I need a hole that I can open to shoot
- 4:26Speaker 2: out of.
- 4:27Speaker 4: See, I keep trying to get several places that I've
- 4:30Speaker 4: been now, and I want one at home, too. I
- 4:32Speaker 4: want a battleship. I want the big circled windows so
- 4:36Speaker 4: I can see. They're like 16 inches thick, so nothing's
- 4:39Speaker 4: going to get through it, but I want to be
- 4:40Speaker 4: able to look through and see a little round hole
- 4:42Speaker 4: and see some sort of spooky monster from Scooby-Doo.
- 4:45Speaker 5: A moat.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I've opted for the moat many a time.
- 4:49Speaker 5: I want a moat, and I want a big glass
- 4:51Speaker 5: dome over our head.
- 4:53Speaker 2: I want a large fence with razor wire. And sniper towers, yeah.
- 4:59Speaker 4: Welcome to the paranoia cast.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Not paranoid, I'm just ready.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Preparatory cast.
- 5:07Speaker 5: But, yeah, because for the longest time we did not have, like,
- 5:11Speaker 5: fancy television. We had the whatever comes in on the
- 5:15Speaker 5: rabbit ears.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Ears.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Aluminum foil on your head as your wife. Well, you
- 5:19Speaker 4: have that anyway, truthfully.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Let's not.
- 5:21Speaker 5: Because I was so excited. I'm like, oh my God,
- 5:23Speaker 5: we're going to have real television. I can watch the
- 5:25Speaker 5: sci-fi channel. I will never change it from the sci-fi channel.
- 5:30Speaker 5: We will live.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I don't think anybody knows what you're talking about right now.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Fancy TV.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Before that, for a long time, we had antenna just
- 5:37Speaker 7: antenna tv because i didn't want to pay for cable.
- 5:40Speaker 4: Because actually i know a lot of people time.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Warner is kind of ripping people.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Off so there's been a lot of people in recent
- 5:46Speaker 4: years that have been like well screw it i'll watch
- 5:49Speaker 4: uh stuff on the internet and i don't really need
- 5:51Speaker 4: you yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 7: That's kind of what we were doing but i mean
- 5:53Speaker 7: we wanted local tv to watch jeopardy and stuff like
- 5:56Speaker 7: that while we were priorities damn.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It well that and i and then was it me
- 6:00Speaker 2: network Me TV.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Me TV is pretty cool, actually.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Saturday nights. They had a good lineup on Saturday nights.
- 6:07Speaker 2: I know you don't like Svengoolie.
- 6:08Speaker 5: I hate Svengoolie.
- 6:10Speaker 4: As we've mentioned on the show before.
- 6:11Speaker 5: I do not miss that. Because that's what we would
- 6:13Speaker 5: do every Saturday night. We'd sit and watch Wonder Woman
- 6:16Speaker 5: and Star Trek. And then Svengoolie would come on. And
- 6:22Speaker 5: I would suffer through it.
- 6:24Speaker 2: It's not that I don't hate you. I like the movie.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I like the movies.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Did you say you don't hate me?
- 6:31Speaker 2: I wasn't making you watch it because I didn't dislike you.
- 6:34Speaker 7: I'm like, watch it.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I'm going to make her watch Svengoolie because I know
- 6:36Speaker 2: she doesn't like it.
- 6:37Speaker 5: The movies weren't bad.
- 6:38Speaker 7: I like the movies.
- 6:39Speaker 2: And yeah, some of the stuff was kind of.
- 6:42Speaker 5: Painfully unfunny.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But that's part of Svengoolie though.
- 6:45Speaker 4: I love the idea of horror host. I'm not big
- 6:50Speaker 4: on him. But, like, again, I think I like what
- 6:52Speaker 4: he's trying to do. He's trying to recapture that. He's
- 6:54Speaker 4: trying to make it back. And he does have good facts.
- 6:56Speaker 4: So I'm still okay with him doing it. And he's getting, like,
- 6:58Speaker 4: cool guests now. Like, he's building up a little following. But, like, again,
- 7:03Speaker 4: I wish... I don't know if he just needs more
- 7:05Speaker 4: writers or some writers.
- 7:07Speaker 5: He used to put that name so on Tony.
- 7:08Speaker 6: Probably.
- 7:08Speaker 4: I think some of the jokes are very forced. And, like,
- 7:11Speaker 4: I wish.
- 7:12Speaker 2: But I almost think they're purposely forced.
- 7:14Speaker 4: They kind of are, yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I mean, it's purposely bad.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it is as... a sad thing. I don't know.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I like TV hosts. I wish we would get more
- 7:23Speaker 4: of them, truthfully.
- 7:24Speaker 7: He's not on enough to make me not want to
- 7:29Speaker 7: watch the movies.
- 7:31Speaker 5: But then after that would go off, Lost in Space
- 7:33Speaker 5: would come on and I would have to immediately turn
- 7:35Speaker 5: it off because my fury and hatred for Mr. Smith, Dr. Smith,
- 7:38Speaker 5: whatever the fuck his name is. I want to punch
- 7:40Speaker 5: that guy.
- 7:41Speaker 7: Yeah, I can't stand that guy either. How do they
- 7:43Speaker 7: not kill that guy? Because I would have killed him.
- 7:45Speaker 7: I would have killed him slowly.
- 7:47Speaker 5: Very first day.
- 7:48Speaker 4: First hour.
- 7:49Speaker 2: First minute.
- 7:50Speaker 4: We're going to be hanging out with Judy soon, so
- 7:52Speaker 4: you can tell her all about your hatred.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Isn't she going to be at the Wonderfest?
- 7:55Speaker 4: Yes, she is.
- 7:56Speaker 5: Awesome.
- 7:57Speaker 2: How did the cast not strangle that guy? Maybe he's
- 7:59Speaker 2: a nice guy in real life, but his character, oh
- 8:01Speaker 2: my God.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah, from what I've heard, the actor seemed all right. Yeah,
- 8:04Speaker 4: why they went is for, I don't know, like as
- 8:07Speaker 4: a kid, I was entertained. Like, I love that show.
- 8:10Speaker 4: And like, I didn't have a problem with him. Again,
- 8:13Speaker 4: mostly the robot's the coolest thing in the world.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, because when you're a kid, you don't see that.
- 8:16Speaker 2: You don't see his whining and crying the whole time.
- 8:19Speaker 4: But I think I knew how weird and shifty he was,
- 8:22Speaker 4: even as a kid.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 4: And I kind of like that because it was the
- 8:25Speaker 4: dynamic of the show. And like, I don't know.
- 8:28Speaker 7: But as you get older, you're like, God, this guy
- 8:29Speaker 7: bitches way too much.
- 8:31Speaker 4: He really does.
- 8:31Speaker 5: He bitches too much for me, and that's saying something.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Because I bitch a lot.
- 8:36Speaker 4: You're telling me.
- 8:37Speaker 5: But anyways, now we've got the fancy TV channels and whatnot.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Like I said, that was my thing. I want to
- 8:42Speaker 5: watch a sci-fi channel all the time. I'm going to
- 8:44Speaker 5: be up to my ass in swamp gator, crocodile, dino
- 8:50Speaker 5: gators and everything. I have not watched a sci-fi channel
- 8:53Speaker 5: once in the two weeks that we have had it.
- 8:54Speaker 4: What is wrong with you?
- 8:56Speaker 5: I'm telling you, I can't stop watching Forensic Files.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Who are you and what have you done with the
- 9:00Speaker 4: real Misty?
- 9:01Speaker 5: Forensic Files.
- 9:03Speaker 4: She's dead. And they showed it on an episode of
- 9:05Speaker 4: Forensic Files. And the new Misty watched it.
- 9:07Speaker 8: I did.
- 9:08Speaker 5: But that and what else have we been watching a
- 9:11Speaker 5: lot of?
- 9:12Speaker 4: Top Gear.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll watch. I'm catching up on my Top Gear.
- 9:15Speaker 5: I didn't think that I would like it because it's
- 9:18Speaker 5: a bunch of Britishy dudes, but they're pretty cool.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I kind of like it.
- 9:20Speaker 7: Well, back in the day when I was, like, really
- 9:21Speaker 7: poor and all my friends all had great jobs and
- 9:26Speaker 7: they all had, like, cable and stuff like that and
- 9:28Speaker 7: they were all watching Top Gear and I was outside
- 9:31Speaker 7: actually working on my car and not watching Top Gear.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You're doing it wrong.
- 9:34Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm actually, I was actually out there fucking doing it. So,
- 9:37Speaker 7: I mean, I was doing some amateur racing for SCCA
- 9:40Speaker 7: and stuff like that and working on cars.
- 9:42Speaker 2: And everybody's like, oh, so it's Top Gear. And I
- 9:45Speaker 2: was just like, okay.
- 9:47Speaker 5: You were living it.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I was living it, man. I don't need that.
- 9:50Speaker 7: And actually, yeah, now that I'm out of cars, you know,
- 9:53Speaker 7: and not really in it, like I've got a Jeep
- 9:56Speaker 7: that's got a starter that needs to be put in it.
- 10:00Speaker 7: for the past month now, and the starter's still sitting
- 10:02Speaker 7: in the front seat because I just don't feel like
- 10:03Speaker 7: going out there and actually putting it in. I'm just
- 10:06Speaker 7: at the point now where I just don't care. But
- 10:08Speaker 7: now I'm actually sitting down and watching the Top Gear,
- 10:11Speaker 7: but now it's all cars that I could never possibly afford.
- 10:14Speaker 5: Ferraris.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Ferraris.
- 10:16Speaker 5: That's what I was going to say, Ferraris.
- 10:18Speaker 2: But it's still an entertaining show. I like that show.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I must pimp my rye. I forgot all about that.
- 10:25Speaker 4: Something came up the other day where they referenced Cribs.
- 10:28Speaker 4: And I was like, remember Cribs?
- 10:31Speaker 5: My favorite episode was the one that had Michael Rosenbaum
- 10:33Speaker 5: in it. Didn't he have bunk beds? Yes.
- 10:35Speaker 4: He's the biggest dork. He's pretty awesome. Speaking of, we
- 10:39Speaker 4: mentioned that Sebastian character. His episode of Cribs was pretty epic, too.
- 10:43Speaker 4: We didn't mention him on the show, though, did we? Well,
- 10:45Speaker 4: we were talking about him earlier before we started rolling.
- 10:47Speaker 4: What else have we been watching? If I remember, he
- 10:50Speaker 4: has a giant life-size, maybe larger than life-size, painting of
- 10:55Speaker 4: himself hanging as you walk in over the stairs.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Why don't we have that? Is it young Sebastian?
- 11:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was him.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Sebastian Bach, by the way.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Because it was when he did the Jekyll and Hyde,
- 11:07Speaker 4: or wasn't that the one he did?
- 11:07Speaker 5: He did Jekyll and Hyde, and here's Jesus.
- 11:11Speaker 4: I think it was Jekyll and Hyde. They did something.
- 11:13Speaker 4: It was like him in that outfit, I think. So
- 11:15Speaker 4: it was around the middle era there.
- 11:17Speaker 5: That's another thing we've been watching a lot of lately.
- 11:19Speaker 5: Late nights, they have Metal Mania on VH1 Classics. So
- 11:24Speaker 5: we've been loading up on our... What they consider metal,
- 11:27Speaker 5: I guess, because it's mostly 80s.
- 11:28Speaker 4: It's not really metal.
- 11:30Speaker 5: I'm like, Bon Jovi's not metal. I'm sorry.
- 11:32Speaker 4: I told you. I described it as metal in quotes
- 11:35Speaker 4: that you would read about in the metal in quotes
- 11:37Speaker 4: magazine at the grocery store.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Would Bon Jovi have even fit that?
- 11:40Speaker 4: Yeah, because I used to have them and it was
- 11:43Speaker 4: all Bon Jovi and Motley Crue and Scorpion. It was
- 11:47Speaker 4: stuff that they played on the radio and called metal,
- 11:49Speaker 4: but kids that were into metal at that time did
- 11:52Speaker 4: not listen to any of that.
- 11:54Speaker 5: We had the debate on, apparently in the 70s and 80s,
- 11:59Speaker 5: you didn't have to have any hot guys in your band.
- 12:01Speaker 5: Like today, it's a mandatory. If the whole band's not pretty,
- 12:07Speaker 5: there's at least one or two hot people in there
- 12:09Speaker 5: where you're like, that's the one who's going on my wall.
- 12:11Speaker 4: I think it started to change in those late 80s.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You started to see the pretty boys coming out in
- 12:16Speaker 4: the hair bands. But the earlier ones, yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, like Scorpions.
- 12:20Speaker 5: ACDC. Come on, there ain't nobody pretty in ACDC. But
- 12:24Speaker 5: then you get like Winger. You get some Winger. Kip
- 12:28Speaker 5: was kind of pushing it.
- 12:29Speaker 4: He doesn't count as a band.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Janie Lane. I'm sorry. I love me some more. They
- 12:34Speaker 5: could try to push him as being pretty, but he
- 12:35Speaker 5: was kind of weird looking.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I thought Bret Michaels was weird looking.
- 12:38Speaker 9: Me too.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I still know people today that act like he's so pretty.
- 12:41Speaker 4: And I'm like, eh, whatever.
- 12:43Speaker 5: They played some of that this morning. And I was like,
- 12:45Speaker 5: you know, no, no. Especially the drummer, dude.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Ricky?
- 12:51Speaker 5: Yeah, Ricky.
- 12:51Speaker 4: Ricky Rocket?
- 12:52Speaker 5: Yeah, Ricky Rocket.
- 12:52Speaker 4: I'm sure his birth name.
- 12:54Speaker 5: Yeah. Same as Bobby Doll, right?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Oh, sure.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Yeah, okay. Of course it is.
- 12:59Speaker 5: But it's like, back then you didn't have, I mean, Dio.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Yeah. There's no pretty enough Dio.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Ronnie James Dio.
- 13:07Speaker 7: Those guys didn't have to have, like, they didn't have
- 13:10Speaker 7: to be, like, really pumped up either.
- 13:12Speaker 5: He was scrawny.
- 13:13Speaker 2: If you look at it, a lot of those guys
- 13:14Speaker 2: are scrawny. They got little tiny arms.
- 13:16Speaker 5: Who was the guy we saw in his little blue
- 13:17Speaker 5: underbrush yesterday?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I don't remember. We watched a band, and he was
- 13:21Speaker 5: in his bed, and the sheets fell off, and he
- 13:23Speaker 5: had little blue tighty-whities on. I was like, yeah, sassy underpants.
- 13:27Speaker 4: You just had to be kind of badass. Because look
- 13:29Speaker 4: at Judas Priest. He was never ripped. Even when he
- 13:32Speaker 4: was young, he kind of looks like he does now.
- 13:34Speaker 4: He always kind of looked like that. But I'm like,
- 13:36Speaker 4: if you were badass, they were like, that's okay. Go
- 13:39Speaker 4: sing up there.
- 13:39Speaker 5: You're cool. But what bands do you see today where
- 13:42Speaker 5: you're like, these are all ugly, but man, they're awesome.
- 13:45Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I don't listen to bands.
- 13:47Speaker 4: I was going to say bands or solo artists. Because
- 13:49Speaker 4: now all you see are the people that came through
- 13:51Speaker 4: on reality television music. And some of those aren't near
- 13:54Speaker 4: as pretty as they should be, and that's why they
- 13:56Speaker 4: don't win those contests. I don't know.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I mean, I don't listen to top 40, so I
- 14:01Speaker 2: really don't.
- 14:02Speaker 5: I'm saying in general, they're all a bunch of boy banders.
- 14:04Speaker 4: They're all meant for teenage girls now, so they all
- 14:07Speaker 4: have to be pretty because that's what the girls want.
- 14:09Speaker 4: They want to be able to hang posters on their wall,
- 14:11Speaker 4: which obviously we were not as discerning with our metal
- 14:14Speaker 4: kid posters.
- 14:16Speaker 5: When I was a kid, teenager, Axl Rose.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Thousands of years ago.
- 14:21Speaker 5: Back in the day, before the lands of time, and
- 14:24Speaker 5: there weren't actually walls.
- 14:26Speaker 4: Where did you put your posters?
- 14:28Speaker 5: I just, like... Trees.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Hung them up on trees.
- 14:31Speaker 5: Yes. On the thatch hut.
- 14:34Speaker 7: Well, see, I seem to remember, like, as a kid, like,
- 14:36Speaker 7: some of the girls in our school having, like, posters of.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Oh, gosh, let me think what.
- 14:42Speaker 4: His name is.
- 14:43Speaker 1: There was.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I brought this up recently, actually.
- 14:47Speaker 7: It was from a soap opera. There were the two brothers,
- 14:51Speaker 7: and it was a soap opera, and I think one
- 14:53Speaker 7: of them was.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Was it Passions?
- 14:54Speaker 2: No, it wasn't Passions.
- 14:55Speaker 7: It might have been Days of Our Lives or something.
- 14:57Speaker 7: I just remember one of them had a beard, and
- 14:58Speaker 7: the other one didn't.
- 14:59Speaker 4: I brought this up recently, because I remember, especially those
- 15:03Speaker 4: 70s runs of quote-unquote hot guys, and I'm like, Leif
- 15:08Speaker 4: Garrett was weird looking.
- 15:09Speaker 8: Dude, no.
- 15:10Speaker 4: I don't care. Like, old 70s Leif Garrett?
- 15:13Speaker 8: Later?
- 15:14Speaker 4: He always was weird. Like, I didn't understand at the time.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I'm like, what are these girls looking at? Because I'm
- 15:19Speaker 4: seeing a weird looking dude. And even like, you're like,
- 15:22Speaker 4: Sean Cassidy. And like, this kid is, he's dorky looking though.
- 15:26Speaker 4: He wasn't like, hot. He was just like, your brother,
- 15:29Speaker 4: which is really creepy if you're hanging a picture of
- 15:31Speaker 4: your brother on the wall. So I don't know. Everything
- 15:33Speaker 4: about those, those guys that kind of started that pinup
- 15:36Speaker 4: craze of like, posters in the magazines hanging on your
- 15:39Speaker 4: wall kind of thing.
- 15:40Speaker 5: And chicks, dude.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Don't get into the chicks.
- 15:43Speaker 5: Chicks, dude.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Which level of chicks, dude, are we talking about?
- 15:46Speaker 5: Lita Ford.
- 15:47Speaker 4: I was going to say, are we talking about chicks
- 15:48Speaker 4: that had posters or like random bevy of chicks in
- 15:51Speaker 4: those videos?
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I was going to say, don't get into my chicks.
- 15:54Speaker 5: No, they've been playing the same Lita Ford videos.
- 15:56Speaker 2: They have.
- 15:57Speaker 5: And it's like in 83. I'm like, man, she's looking
- 15:59Speaker 5: pretty haggard by this one. She's got to be at
- 16:01Speaker 5: least mid-30s. She was 26. 26.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I was going to say, 83? She couldn't have been.
- 16:06Speaker 2: I'm like, dude.
- 16:07Speaker 5: I'm like, but she looked older. She didn't look like,
- 16:11Speaker 5: you know, 26.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Eh, you got to go to Runaways. They were all
- 16:15Speaker 4: pretty in Runaways.
- 16:15Speaker 5: And she had that outfit on. It was cut damn
- 16:17Speaker 5: near up to her cervix. It was like all the
- 16:19Speaker 5: way up here. You can't see the motion I'm doing,
- 16:22Speaker 5: but it's not pleasant.
- 16:23Speaker 4: It's way up here.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's... That was the 80s, though. All the swimsuits
- 16:28Speaker 2: were way up there.
- 16:29Speaker 5: Everything on her was waxed.
- 16:30Speaker 4: They were creepy.
- 16:30Speaker 5: It had to have been.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Remember those, and they would be the one-piece ones, but
- 16:35Speaker 4: the crotch area would be about an inch wide. It
- 16:38Speaker 4: was really disturbing.
- 16:39Speaker 5: She was wearing that, but it was leather.
- 16:42Speaker 4: I would hope so.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Leather and studded. She kept moving her guitar just so
- 16:46Speaker 5: you could see what's going on there. I'm like, stop it, Lita.
- 16:48Speaker 5: I don't want to see that.
- 16:50Speaker 4: You know you do.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Waxed.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Gross.
- 16:54Speaker 5: And her hair was huge, but in an awesome way.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Nair generation.
- 16:59Speaker 5: But other than that, what have we been doing? Watching
- 17:03Speaker 5: Doctor Who. Finally.
- 17:06Speaker 4: You've been sucked in. You predicted you were going to
- 17:09Speaker 4: get sucked in.
- 17:10Speaker 5: I didn't get sucked in as far as I thought
- 17:11Speaker 5: I would. I thought I would be obsessed by now.
- 17:13Speaker 5: But I hated David Tennant.
- 17:15Speaker 4: See, that surprises me. Because to me, that's what little
- 17:18Speaker 4: I knew of any of them. That was the one
- 17:20Speaker 4: I was like, I'd probably like him. I've seen him
- 17:22Speaker 4: in one movie. I liked him in that.
- 17:24Speaker 5: I didn't even, if it's the same movie that I
- 17:26Speaker 5: saw him in.
- 17:27Speaker 4: You don't like Fright Night. I didn't like, I didn't
- 17:30Speaker 4: expect to like that. I just, I ended up liking
- 17:32Speaker 4: it on its own terms in its own weird way. Separate,
- 17:35Speaker 4: it's not near the original, but that's okay. They're separate movies.
- 17:38Speaker 4: So I'm trying to look at it separately. And I
- 17:40Speaker 4: thought he was pretty fun in that.
- 17:41Speaker 5: I hate David Tennant. I hate, I hate that he
- 17:44Speaker 5: has a Scottish accent that he tries to cover with
- 17:45Speaker 5: a British accent. And I guess his idea of talking
- 17:48Speaker 5: with a British accent is just, talking with his mouth
- 17:52Speaker 5: as far back as he can.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Thirst and howl the third.
- 17:55Speaker 2: It's his lower teeth. He's got that lower overbite.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Underbite.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Underbite, yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 5: It's like he sticks his jaw out and opens his
- 18:02Speaker 5: mouth so you can see all of his teeth.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Oh, lovey.
- 18:05Speaker 5: But then he says, in every episode, at least once,
- 18:09Speaker 5: five times in at least one episode, billions, millions and billions.
- 18:16Speaker 5: And I'm just like, ooh, dude.
- 18:17Speaker 4: You're no Carl Sagan.
- 18:19Speaker 7: It was, you know, it was really hard to get
- 18:21Speaker 7: through the whole tenant season because she was like, we
- 18:26Speaker 7: just got to make it through.
- 18:27Speaker 2: We got to make it through.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Weren't there minis tenant seasons?
- 18:29Speaker 5: Dude.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I thought he had like three or four.
- 18:31Speaker 5: At least. It was way too damn many. Don't act
- 18:33Speaker 5: like I was the only one. You were like, oh, dude.
- 18:35Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 18:36Speaker 5: You were millions and billions along with me.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I was joking along with her.
- 18:40Speaker 5: I'm just like, oh, my God. Because everybody's like, oh.
- 18:42Speaker 7: My hatred is not as furious as your hatred is
- 18:46Speaker 7: because I can tune people out. And I can kind
- 18:49Speaker 7: of see past a lot of that stuff, you know.
- 18:52Speaker 7: But still, as far as doctors are concerned, he's not
- 18:55Speaker 7: my favorite doctor.
- 18:56Speaker 5: I like the first one. We just started at nine.
- 18:58Speaker 5: We didn't go into, like, all the.
- 18:59Speaker 6: Deep dark history.
- 19:00Speaker 4: That's usually the recommended for people. Just start with the
- 19:02Speaker 4: reboot-ish thing that they did.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I like the ninth doctor.
- 19:06Speaker 5: I adored him, you know. He wasn't hot, which, you know,
- 19:09Speaker 5: is usually kind of a stretch for me because it's...
- 19:11Speaker 5: But he was very alien-y, you know, whereas you could
- 19:14Speaker 5: kind of confuse Dr.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Tennant.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Dr. Tennant.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Paging Dr.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Tennant.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Dr.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Tennant.
- 19:21Speaker 5: You know, he's just kind of a weird human-y person,
- 19:24Speaker 5: whereas you knew something wasn't right with number nine. You know,
- 19:28Speaker 5: he was definitely a little bit off. And Matt Smith,
- 19:33Speaker 5: I'm still not entirely sure.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I like Matt Smith.
- 19:35Speaker 5: Sometimes he has the most fantastic hair I've ever seen.
- 19:37Speaker 5: I just want to, like, touch it and, like, pet
- 19:40Speaker 5: it a little bit. It's pretty epic.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Matt Smith's nutty enough.
- 19:44Speaker 4: I like him.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I like him. And I adore Karen gillen.
- 19:48Speaker 4: She is pretty awesome for being almost makes me want
- 19:50Speaker 4: to watch it and i have yet to have a reason.
- 19:52Speaker 5: To watch you know she's she can be a little
- 19:54Speaker 5: bit she can wear on the nerves a little bit
- 19:56Speaker 5: or you're like all right karen you just need to
- 19:58Speaker 5: stop and just hold your shit for a second but
- 20:01Speaker 5: i adore her.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I mean she is the winner of the foiler last
- 20:04Speaker 4: year for hottest female technically i think she tied with.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Scarlet but still i definitely give it to.
- 20:09Speaker 4: She has to come over the house and pick it
- 20:10Speaker 4: up by the way.
- 20:11Speaker 5: She's adorable and usually i'm not big on the on
- 20:14Speaker 5: the redheaded people but god.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Damn she gets a pass she's super hot.
- 20:19Speaker 5: Even though she even though she does have a scottish
- 20:21Speaker 5: accent i.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Like her scottish accent that's her that's.
- 20:23Speaker 5: Her actual accent and i'm okay with it because i
- 20:25Speaker 5: thought for a while i'm like Maybe I just hate
- 20:27Speaker 5: Scottish people.
- 20:30Speaker 4: Sorry, Scotland.
- 20:31Speaker 5: No, because I'm like, there's got to be a reason
- 20:33Speaker 5: I hate David Tennant so much. I'm like, that's it.
- 20:36Speaker 5: He's Scottish. That's got to be it, right? No. Because
- 20:39Speaker 5: I adore Kieran Gillen. Who else is Scottish that I adore?
- 20:42Speaker 5: I adore David Barrowman. I'm probably saying it wrong, but
- 20:45Speaker 5: he's actually Scottish, even though he doesn't talk Scottish on
- 20:47Speaker 5: the show. Captain Jack Harkness, the one I almost ran
- 20:50Speaker 5: into once at one of the conventions, and I hadn't
- 20:52Speaker 5: seen the show, so I'm like, oh, my God. Sean Connery.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I'm not as big on Sean Connery as you are.
- 20:58Speaker 4: If you have issues with it, I'm going to blame
- 20:59Speaker 4: Mike Myers. Because he's not Scottish, but he does that
- 21:02Speaker 4: damn Scottish accent as often as he can in everything.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Mostly Shrek.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I don't care. I don't care. But yeah, so I thought, okay,
- 21:11Speaker 5: maybe that's why I don't like David Tennant.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Scottish.
- 21:14Speaker 5: But then Kieran Gillick, I'm like, nope. Can't be him.
- 21:16Speaker 2: No, I think more or less it's just his.
- 21:18Speaker 5: He's a cartoon character.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Yeah, his stretchy face.
- 21:21Speaker 3: It does.
- 21:22Speaker 5: He has like James, James Carey. I'm like picking everybody
- 21:24Speaker 5: fancy today.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Dr.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Carey.
- 21:28Speaker 5: You know, Jim Carey. It's very cartoonish. And I'm just like,
- 21:31Speaker 5: stop it. You know, just.
- 21:33Speaker 2: It's too over the top.
- 21:34Speaker 5: Calm that shit back a little bit. He's just, he
- 21:36Speaker 5: was a fanboy. You know, he was a fan. From
- 21:40Speaker 5: what I read. The main reason he became an actor
- 21:42Speaker 5: was because he wanted to be Doctor Who.
- 21:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, when it's been around that long, I
- 21:46Speaker 4: guess you're going to get two generations now that that's
- 21:49Speaker 4: been their whole thing.
- 21:50Speaker 5: He even ended up marrying one of the Doctor's actual daughters,
- 21:53Speaker 5: like in real life.
- 21:54Speaker 4: It's getting a little creepy now.
- 21:55Speaker 5: You know, which is even weirder because they met on
- 21:57Speaker 5: an episode where she was playing his daughter.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Extra weird, extra creepy.
- 22:04Speaker 5: Anyway, she's super adorable. She was blonde. I can't remember
- 22:06Speaker 5: her name. Not important. I think his name was Jenny.
- 22:09Speaker 5: His name was Jenny at some point. I could be
- 22:10Speaker 5: totally making that up.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Oh, that's the one. Yeah. Oh, that's weird.
- 22:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 5: Anyways, I was so happy when he went away. Because
- 22:17Speaker 5: I was counting down. But then when the episode where
- 22:21Speaker 5: I thought he was going to die, in quotes, and
- 22:25Speaker 5: become the next Doctor, he didn't. And then they had
- 22:28Speaker 5: like five specials or something in between. And I'm like, oh,
- 22:34Speaker 5: now you're just fucking with me.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Just to mess with you. That's why they did.
- 22:37Speaker 5: And I still miss Rose.
- 22:39Speaker 2: I like Rose.
- 22:40Speaker 5: I didn't like Martha. Hated Donna.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Martha was okay. She was a little boring. Donna, I
- 22:45Speaker 2: couldn't stand.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Doctor. Doctor. Donna. God, I wanted to punch them all
- 22:51Speaker 5: in the face. She's the reason I hate redheads.
- 22:54Speaker 8: No.
- 22:55Speaker 5: She is part of the... She is the stereotypical reason
- 22:57Speaker 5: of why I hate redheads.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Thankfully, Karen redeemed it all.
- 23:00Speaker 5: She did.
- 23:01Speaker 4: She's so dreamy. Huh?
- 23:02Speaker 2: Doctor Donna.
- 23:03Speaker 5: Doctor Donna. Remember how they would always say... How they
- 23:06Speaker 5: would always say Donna.
- 23:07Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no. I was just asking. That's
- 23:09Speaker 2: your reason you don't like credits.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I've had sillier reasons for other things.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you have. That's true.
- 23:17Speaker 5: But yeah, now we're on... Rory's okay. I don't want
- 23:21Speaker 5: to punch him anymore. I didn't like him for the
- 23:23Speaker 5: longest time.
- 23:27Speaker 4: Well, I can only come up with one thing. But
- 23:29Speaker 4: I do feel like I need to... Not that everyone
- 23:31Speaker 4: else hasn't made a big deal about this in the
- 23:33Speaker 4: last week, but I do have to at least acknowledge
- 23:36Speaker 4: the passing of the torch of Letterman leaving. Only because
- 23:41Speaker 4: I spent so much of my life watching that, and
- 23:45Speaker 4: I'm still pretty sure this wouldn't exist. There's a huge
- 23:49Speaker 4: part of my childhood, and one of my favorite things ever,
- 23:53Speaker 4: and probably one of the best things in Mallrats, Is
- 23:56Speaker 4: that split second at the end where he's like, hey,
- 23:58Speaker 4: have you ever thought about hosting your own talk show?
- 24:00Speaker 4: I'm not missing a beat. And Jason goes, yeah, obviously.
- 24:04Speaker 4: So I think there was a little bit of every
- 24:06Speaker 4: kid that was like watching Letterman. And that was my
- 24:09Speaker 4: take on it. It was like, yeah, of course. And
- 24:11Speaker 4: it was mostly Letterman because Johnny's a weird, different kind
- 24:15Speaker 4: of thing that happened before that. He was like so
- 24:17Speaker 4: professional and so proper and so relaxed and smooth about
- 24:22Speaker 4: it all. And then Dave came along and they were like, oh, Lord,
- 24:24Speaker 4: they'll just give a show to any dork. And I'm like, finally,
- 24:27Speaker 4: a dork like me. I can have a show, too,
- 24:30Speaker 4: just like that dorky guy.
- 24:31Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 24:32Speaker 4: I think that's what it was. I think there was
- 24:34Speaker 4: an attachment to him that a lot of people had.
- 24:37Speaker 4: I certainly did that, I think, because he's just a
- 24:40Speaker 4: regular dorky guy. He's probably a little weird. And I
- 24:43Speaker 4: think I attach myself to that, too, because I feel
- 24:45Speaker 4: like he's kind of awkward.
- 24:46Speaker 5: You're a weirdo.
- 24:47Speaker 4: But he's like he is kind of awkward. And yet
- 24:49Speaker 4: he sat down and talked to people. And I'm like,
- 24:51Speaker 4: that's my go to. I'm like, if that weirdo can
- 24:54Speaker 4: sit down and talk to people, maybe I can too.
- 24:57Speaker 5: As long as you just sit and stare at him
- 24:58Speaker 5: from across the room for a while first.
- 25:00Speaker 4: Just a little.
- 25:01Speaker 5: You got to get prepped.
- 25:02Speaker 4: You got to get in the mindset. Got to get
- 25:04Speaker 4: ready to roll. So, I don't know. I've been watching
- 25:08Speaker 4: the last couple of weeks, watching it come down to it.
- 25:11Speaker 5: I watched a clip that had him and Tom Waits.
- 25:13Speaker 5: That's about all.
- 25:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I watched some Letterman, but I just don't care. It's
- 25:18Speaker 2: just flat.
- 25:18Speaker 5: It's way past our bedtime.
- 25:20Speaker 2: For one minute. Well, 90% of the stuff that's going
- 25:22Speaker 2: on doesn't even register on my radar.
- 25:24Speaker 7: I'm in a completely different world than like 98% of
- 25:27Speaker 7: the population.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Well, I like that. He sort of created his own
- 25:32Speaker 4: wacky little world there and was doing it before. Again,
- 25:34Speaker 4: like the only thing before that was the Tonight Show
- 25:36Speaker 4: really that anybody attached to. And it didn't really do that.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Like they had bits and he sort of had his
- 25:41Speaker 4: running characters, but it didn't like create its own sense
- 25:44Speaker 4: of humor really like Letterman did. And like you see,
- 25:47Speaker 4: Conan did that, and all the other ones do that now,
- 25:49Speaker 4: but I feel like he was sort of pioneering it.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Conan's awesome.
- 25:52Speaker 5: I like Conan because, well, recently he had Jean-Claude Van
- 25:55Speaker 5: Damme on there. Did you see that?
- 25:59Speaker 4: I saw, maybe I saw the clip of it. What
- 26:00Speaker 4: was he doing?
- 26:01Speaker 5: Where he recreated the dance moves from, what was the dance?
- 26:04Speaker 5: What was the movie?
- 26:06Speaker 4: Kickboxer.
- 26:06Speaker 5: Kickboxer. The whole, I can't even do it, and it's
- 26:09Speaker 5: going to make my chair squeak if I try. But,
- 26:11Speaker 5: you know, everybody knows the epic scene in Kickboxer where
- 26:14Speaker 5: he's at the, they're at a bar.
- 26:15Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 26:16Speaker 7: They're at a bar somewhere in Thailand, and the guy
- 26:18Speaker 7: that he's training with makes him dance.
- 26:20Speaker 2: So he starts dancing.
- 26:21Speaker 5: And it's epic.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 5: It's beautiful.
- 26:24Speaker 7: And these guys get mad because he's dancing with their girls.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Or something like that. And then there's some awesome fighting.
- 26:31Speaker 2: And there's some splits. No, I think there was some
- 26:33Speaker 2: splits in that one. Not in the Conan movie.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Yeah, he did not do the splits on Conan. I'm like, what?
- 26:39Speaker 5: He's getting older now.
- 26:39Speaker 4: He's going to bust a hip doing them now.
- 26:42Speaker 5: I was blaming it on the jeans. Maybe he was
- 26:43Speaker 5: wearing too tight of jeans.
- 26:44Speaker 2: See, if he was wearing Chuck Norris action jeans.
- 26:47Speaker 4: With the slim gusset?
- 26:48Speaker 2: Yeah, the action crotch.
- 26:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:51Speaker 4: Is it sad that we both got those catalogs when
- 26:53Speaker 4: we were kids?
- 26:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 26:55Speaker 5: Damn it.
- 26:55Speaker 4: I knew that's where you do it from. I sent
- 26:58Speaker 4: my dollar in and got myself a catalog.
- 27:03Speaker 5: I just, I don't know. I guess I haven't watched any.
- 27:06Speaker 5: Like I said, it's way past our bedtime. I'm like
- 27:07Speaker 5: in bed by like 9, 8, 10 o'clock.
- 27:08Speaker 4: I mean, my sleep schedule is so messed up at
- 27:11Speaker 4: this point. But I would still try to make an effort.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Like the other shows, like there's so many freaking talk shows.
- 27:17Speaker 4: Everybody has a talk show. And the other one's just
- 27:18Speaker 4: kind of, sometimes there's an interesting clip from one or
- 27:21Speaker 4: the other. But Letterman was still sort of a thing.
- 27:23Speaker 4: And again, it was sort of that little like, you
- 27:26Speaker 4: were part of the club. And I think that's what
- 27:28Speaker 4: he started with. Like when he very first started, it
- 27:29Speaker 4: was a weird... those dorky kids that were staying up
- 27:32Speaker 4: too late, you know, it was, you were part of
- 27:34Speaker 4: the clubs. I feel like it still had that, that
- 27:36Speaker 4: the new shows don't really have.
- 27:38Speaker 5: Is Leno still on? Cause I fucking.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Hate that guy. Again, I don't feel like he's a
- 27:43Speaker 4: horrible person. He probably is fine. And no, he's fine
- 27:46Speaker 4: in the real world. I just, I, he got so
- 27:49Speaker 4: mediocre in his comedy. It was, he knew his market
- 27:51Speaker 4: was old white people and like everything was made to
- 27:54Speaker 4: be like the middle America, middle-aged people that were staying
- 27:56Speaker 4: up late. And like, he knew that. that was his
- 27:59Speaker 4: bread and butter. Like he may still be a good
- 28:00Speaker 4: standup somewhere behind all that. But as far as that
- 28:03Speaker 4: talk show, when he, it was terrible, his comedy got
- 28:05Speaker 4: really terrible. And then like the whole selling Conan down
- 28:09Speaker 4: the river, like I lost so much respect for him
- 28:11Speaker 4: after that. He just screwed him over. And he, that's
- 28:16Speaker 4: the thing. He could have been the one that stopped
- 28:18Speaker 4: it all. You know, it's like, it doesn't surprise me.
- 28:20Speaker 4: The network screwed him over. That's their job. They're a
- 28:22Speaker 4: multi-billion dollar corporation. Their job is to do whatever it
- 28:26Speaker 4: is to protect their assets. But, like, Leno could have said, no,
- 28:29Speaker 4: you guys made this decision. I'm not coming back. You
- 28:32Speaker 4: stick with him. You ride it out. Because obviously he
- 28:34Speaker 4: can do it. He's been doing it ever since then.
- 28:36Speaker 4: He moved to another network as soon as he could,
- 28:38Speaker 4: and now he's been doing it ever since. So he could.
- 28:41Speaker 4: NBC just sucked, and they wouldn't back him. So, yeah, Leno,
- 28:44Speaker 4: that was kind of a dick move.
- 28:46Speaker 5: Yeah, Leno. I'm sure that he listens.
- 28:50Speaker 4: Dave probably does because he has nothing else to do now.
- 28:53Speaker 5: Was he going on to something else, or was he
- 28:55Speaker 5: just retiring?
- 28:56Speaker 4: I think he just wanted to retire. I don't keep track.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Hang out with the kid. That was weird. They showed
- 29:00Speaker 4: the kid. He was super protective, especially the kid. You
- 29:04Speaker 4: rarely saw his wife, but there were hardly any pictures
- 29:07Speaker 4: of that kid ever. How old is the kid now?
- 29:11Speaker 5: The kid?
- 29:12Speaker 6: 11, maybe?
- 29:13Speaker 4: He looked like he was probably 10 or 11, something
- 29:15Speaker 4: like that.
- 29:15Speaker 5: Does he have the gap in his teeth?
- 29:17Speaker 4: I don't think so. He might have escaped that.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Good for him.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Or he just cashed in early on some orthodontist. Anyway,
- 29:25Speaker 4: that was just a milestone that I'm kind of sad about.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Because whoever is coming along, they're all pretty good. They're
- 29:30Speaker 4: naming off all the new people. They're all serviceable, but
- 29:34Speaker 4: they're never going to be Dave. It's not going to
- 29:36Speaker 4: be Dave.
- 29:37Speaker 5: I'm not even a big fan of talk show people
- 29:39Speaker 5: in general. but dave was one of the ones i'm
- 29:41Speaker 5: like all right there's nothing else on if i had
- 29:43Speaker 5: the choice it's gonna be.
- 29:45Speaker 4: Dave yeah dave's just so dorky you know.
- 29:48Speaker 7: It's been 25 years since i've watched late night tv
- 29:51Speaker 7: i mean after i got out of high school and
- 29:53Speaker 7: was working and now i actually work at the real
- 29:56Speaker 7: hour job I don't get to stay up late at night.
- 29:59Speaker 7: I don't even stay up late at night on the
- 30:01Speaker 7: weekends and watch it.
- 30:02Speaker 4: See, I still watched it now and I get up better.
- 30:06Speaker 4: But that's because, again, I have no normal sleep schedule.
- 30:09Speaker 4: I don't live like a human, so I would rearrange
- 30:12Speaker 4: things just to stay up for days. I don't know
- 30:14Speaker 4: that I'm going to do that with these new guys.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Who's replacing him?
- 30:19Speaker 4: Colbert. Who, again, is very clever, very funny.
- 30:23Speaker 5: He has wonky ears.
- 30:24Speaker 4: He's not, Dave, but he's very smart. I like You know,
- 30:28Speaker 4: he takes his approach seriously. He's done like so many characters, though.
- 30:33Speaker 4: It'll be weird to watch him have to be himself.
- 30:35Speaker 4: So it'll be an adjustment.
- 30:38Speaker 5: You need to adjust that ear.
- 30:42Speaker 4: Anyway, I think we should watch a movie. What are
- 30:44Speaker 4: we watching, Misty?
- 30:45Speaker 5: I have no idea.
- 30:46Speaker 6: I know.
- 30:46Speaker 4: We haven't picked it out yet. So we're going to
- 30:48Speaker 4: go figure out what the hell we're going to watch.
- 30:50Speaker 4: And then we're going to come back and talk about it.
- 30:52Speaker 4: Let's go do that now.
- 30:53Speaker 5: Okey-doke. Bye.
- 31:08Speaker 10: Bye.

- 33:54Speaker 8: You ate it.
- 33:54Speaker 12: Education has never been so wow.
- 33:58Speaker 4: Hey, Misty, do you have your earbuds strapped in?
- 34:00Speaker 5: I do not.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Well, that's probably because you didn't go to tweakedaudio.com and
- 34:04Speaker 4: get your tweaked audio earbuds because they're awesome.
- 34:07Speaker 5: I don't like things in my ears.
- 34:10Speaker 4: You're the worst pitch person ever.
- 34:12Speaker 3: I am.
- 34:13Speaker 4: I have mine. They're awesome. They're the wood ones. They're deluxe.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Look at this shit. That's hardwood.
- 34:18Speaker 5: I guess if I were to shove any implement in
- 34:21Speaker 5: my ear, it would be those.
- 34:22Speaker 4: We don't recommend you shove anything else in your ear.
- 34:24Speaker 4: That's kind of why we were hooked up with Tweaked Audio.
- 34:26Speaker 4: It's the only thing we recommend you shove in your
- 34:28Speaker 4: ear for medical purposes, really. If you damage your eardrum,

- 34:45Speaker 4: and free shipping.
- 34:46Speaker 5: It's awesome. Is it better than 5% discount?
- 34:47Speaker 4: Not that 5% discount that you were looking at in
- 34:49Speaker 4: that catalog.
- 34:50Speaker 5: No, the discount you will be getting from Tweaked Audio
- 34:52Speaker 5: will be a hell of a lot better than the 5%.
- 34:54Speaker 5: It's a third off. You get a third off. A third,
- 34:56Speaker 5: holy shit. If I had math, that would be awesome.
- 34:59Speaker 4: And free shipping.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Fucking A. You can't beat that. And they're super fast.
- 35:03Speaker 5: Not with a stick.
- 35:04Speaker 4: I just went and got me some more, and it
- 35:06Speaker 4: was like a day, and they were there. They were
- 35:07Speaker 4: like lightning fast. Like the lightning on that girl's boobs
- 35:09Speaker 4: over there.

- 35:50Speaker 8: Hey, this is General Joe Shelby, better known as Martinez
- 35:55Speaker 8: from Dawn of the Dead, and you're listening to the
- 35:59Speaker 8: Dynamite Channel of Movie Meltdown.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Stay tuned and stay tight.
- 36:16Speaker 1: It's time for Sofa Theater.
- 36:21Speaker 9: Martin, can you hear me?
- 36:22Speaker 4: Are you there? Things came from the snow.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Nazis.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Some little Nazi creatures came up from the earth.
- 36:32Speaker 9: When we found you, your right arm was ripped off.
- 36:36Speaker 9: We found your arm in the car.
- 36:38Speaker 3: The operation was a success.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Is this the zombie squad?
- 36:55Speaker 4: Martin, these are not your textbook zombies.
- 36:58Speaker 1: These are cursed zombies awakened to complete a task given
- 37:02Speaker 1: to them.
- 37:03Speaker 2: We will take care of this. We are professionals. Looks
- 37:11Speaker 2: like we're going to Norway.
- 37:15Speaker 4: It's time to go hunting.
- 37:19Speaker 5: That was further than usual.
- 37:22Speaker 2: What do the creatures want?
- 37:24Speaker 4: Revenge.
- 37:26Speaker 5: There they are. We have a tank, I see.
- 37:28Speaker 4: That can't be good.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Your arm, your power.
- 37:31Speaker 1: This is how we defeat them.
- 37:34Speaker 2: We create an army of our own.
- 37:49Speaker 10: Nazi zombies.
- 37:52Speaker 4: Nazi zombies.
- 37:53Speaker 10: Nazi zombies. Nazi zombies.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Lock and load, gotta drop the clip.
- 38:04Speaker 6: These Nazi zombies are coming too quick. No time to waste,
- 38:06Speaker 6: we gotta kill these fools. We can't survive if we
- 38:09Speaker 6: follow the rules. Rule one, put your back to the wall.
- 38:11Speaker 6: Rule number two, don't trip and fall. Rule number three,
- 38:14Speaker 6: be accurate. Straight aim for the dome and unload the clip.
- 38:17Speaker 6: Shoot from the hip if you have to. Making a
- 38:18Speaker 6: pool of Nazi zombies. Soup my nuts, go bloop on
- 38:21Speaker 6: your face for days.
- 38:22Speaker 5: We'll see you next time.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Truthfully, I'm surprised I've been able to focus this far
- 38:49Speaker 4: into the episode, since I'm sitting next to a mystic
- 38:52Speaker 4: seer machine. Fuckin' A. For those of you who don't know,
- 38:57Speaker 4: Misty's the kind of dork who would have a mystic
- 38:59Speaker 4: seer official life-sized replica sitting on her table.
- 39:04Speaker 5: It works, too. What are you talking about?
- 39:06Speaker 4: Does it see the future, and do you get trapped?
- 39:08Speaker 5: Will I ever leave this kitchen again? It gets stuck sometimes, too.
- 39:17Speaker 4: That is, in itself, a fortune. All right, so we
- 39:22Speaker 4: are back. And we did what I'm assuming everybody out
- 39:26Speaker 4: there does. You get on the old streaming movie options.
- 39:30Speaker 5: You stare at it for about 15, 20 minutes.
- 39:32Speaker 4: You scroll through it. 15 or 20. I usually stare
- 39:35Speaker 4: at it for about as long as a movie.
- 39:37Speaker 5: We should have just recorded a podcast of us looking
- 39:39Speaker 5: through the movie.
- 39:40Speaker 1: Scroll, scroll.
- 39:41Speaker 4: How about that one? There's a lot of shrugging, and
- 39:45Speaker 4: I was going to watch that, but I don't know.
- 39:50Speaker 4: So if you're like the one person who doesn't do that,
- 39:53Speaker 4: I guess write in and let us know. But I
- 39:54Speaker 4: assume the rest of the world also does that. Just
- 39:57Speaker 4: a lot of scrolling.
- 39:59Speaker 5: I've spent the entire evening.
- 40:00Speaker 4: I have too. Like I've gotten where I'll spend 30
- 40:03Speaker 4: minutes looking through and I'll go, oh, this one. And
- 40:05Speaker 4: I'll finally click on it to watch it and then
- 40:07Speaker 4: I just go to sleep.
- 40:08Speaker 5: 30 minutes? You're a lightweight. We spent like the entire night.
- 40:10Speaker 5: It was like 12 o'clock. We almost agreed on one.
- 40:14Speaker 5: And then you're like... Fuck, it's too late now.
- 40:16Speaker 4: That's the thing. Usually after about 30 minutes, I'm like,
- 40:18Speaker 4: you know, I should be this far in by now.
- 40:21Speaker 4: And just never mind. And then I'll either do something
- 40:23Speaker 4: else or go to sleep or whatever. But, yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 5: It did remind me of other movies that I've seen
- 40:27Speaker 5: recently that I should have talked about earlier. But then
- 40:30Speaker 5: I won't.
- 40:32Speaker 4: Because we have to get to, what did we end
- 40:33Speaker 4: up on?
- 40:35Speaker 5: What the fuck was that movie?
- 40:36Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Dead Snow 2.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Colon. Red versus dead.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Exactly. So that is, in fact, this week's Silver Theater feature.
- 40:47Speaker 5: Did you feel lost having not seen the first one?
- 40:50Speaker 4: I was the one who had not seen the first one,
- 40:51Speaker 4: but I heard you recount it several times, so I
- 40:54Speaker 4: felt like I kind of knew what was going on.
- 40:56Speaker 5: I hated the first one.
- 40:57Speaker 4: I know, which I thought it was odd that you
- 40:59Speaker 4: went with it. You hated the first one?
- 40:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I didn't like it at all. You liked it.
- 41:01Speaker 8: I didn't like it.
- 41:02Speaker 2: I liked it, yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 5: This one from the trailer looked funnier and more tolerable.
- 41:07Speaker 5: Maybe I was in a better mood tonight. Could have
- 41:10Speaker 5: been all the candy I ate.
- 41:10Speaker 7: It could have been, because sometimes when you're in a
- 41:12Speaker 7: really bad mood, it doesn't matter how good the movie is,
- 41:15Speaker 7: she just hates it right off the bat.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Yep. It's a lost cause at that point.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Pretty much.
- 41:19Speaker 5: No, that one movie's still shit, and I'll never watch it,
- 41:21Speaker 5: so don't even try to use that as an excuse.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Which one?
- 41:23Speaker 5: You know which one.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Oh, you mean.
- 41:26Speaker 1: Yes, I do.
- 41:28Speaker 2: Yeah, Galaxy Quest?
- 41:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I will never like that, no matter what mood
- 41:31Speaker 5: I'm in.
- 41:31Speaker 4: You know, I finally watched it. I... For some reason,
- 41:35Speaker 4: I think I was like everybody else when it first
- 41:37Speaker 4: came out, and I was just like, eh, whatever. I mean,
- 41:39Speaker 4: it didn't make money. It didn't do that well. It's
- 41:41Speaker 4: a brilliant movie. And then it built up all this following,
- 41:43Speaker 4: and I finally, like in the last year, was like,
- 41:45Speaker 4: all right, cool, I need to watch it. And it
- 41:47Speaker 4: was streaming, so for once I didn't argue forever. I
- 41:50Speaker 4: just sat down and watched something, and it was Galaxy Quest.
- 41:52Speaker 4: And I was like, eh, it's all right. I think
- 41:55Speaker 4: it just had way too many people tell me in
- 41:57Speaker 4: the last 10 years, like.
- 41:58Speaker 1: Dude, it's amazing.
- 42:00Speaker 5: I'm just like, it's funny. Anyways, back to Dead Snow.
- 42:03Speaker 5: What do we think of Dead Snow? Do you need
- 42:04Speaker 5: to do the actual premise?
- 42:05Speaker 4: We didn't finish the rundown. Hold on. So we got
- 42:07Speaker 4: Dead Snow 2, Red vs.
- 42:09Speaker 5: Dead.
- 42:10Speaker 4: The year is 2014. The director, Tommy Warkola? That's what
- 42:15Speaker 4: we'll go with. It's not my fault. He's from....
- 42:20Speaker 5: He's from the Netherlands?
- 42:21Speaker 1: Sure.
- 42:22Speaker 5: I have no fucking clue.
- 42:24Speaker 4: If not Tommy, sorry. The plot, according to IMDb, is
- 42:29Speaker 4: If the worst day of your life consisted of accidentally
- 42:32Speaker 4: killing your girlfriend with an axe, chainsawing your own arm off,
- 42:34Speaker 4: and watching in horror as your closest friends were devoured
- 42:37Speaker 4: by a zombified Nazi battalion, you'd have to assume that
- 42:41Speaker 4: things couldn't get much worse. In Martin's case, that was
- 42:44Speaker 4: only the beginning. Spoiler alert!
- 42:48Speaker 5: I do like that at the beginning of this they
- 42:49Speaker 5: give you a complete rundown recap of the first movie
- 42:52Speaker 5: so that you don't actually have to watch the first one.
- 42:54Speaker 5: You're just like, oh, here's a quick little five minute
- 42:58Speaker 5: recap of the entire first movie.
- 43:00Speaker 4: Yeah, that's kind of what I was counting on is
- 43:02Speaker 4: that I didn't have to see the movie anyway because
- 43:04Speaker 4: it's a zombie movie. I figured I'd piece it together.
- 43:06Speaker 4: And I heard you tell me about it. But other
- 43:08Speaker 4: than that, yeah, I was surprised it did do a
- 43:11Speaker 4: nice little synopsis.
- 43:12Speaker 5: Very thorough. It wasn't even like a half-ass, you know,
- 43:16Speaker 5: it was like, We went on to hear, this is
- 43:18Speaker 5: exactly what happened. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.
- 43:20Speaker 4: It was the people who put together the previously on
- 43:22Speaker 4: segment at the beginning of each episode that, you know,
- 43:25Speaker 4: the next thing starts and they pick out the key
- 43:27Speaker 4: things that you're going to have to know going back
- 43:29Speaker 4: into this episode. They did that with this movie and
- 43:32Speaker 4: it kind of worked out.
- 43:33Speaker 5: I did enjoy this one a great deal more than
- 43:35Speaker 5: the first one. The first one just pissed me off.
- 43:38Speaker 5: It might have been the... Sex scene in the outhouse,
- 43:41Speaker 5: it totally turned me off.
- 43:43Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, there's some gross stuff in this movie. Both
- 43:47Speaker 2: of them.
- 43:47Speaker 5: No, I'm talking about the original one on that one.
- 43:49Speaker 7: No, I know, but both of them have gross stuff.
- 43:53Speaker 10: In the movie.
- 43:53Speaker 4: I don't understand why I didn't see any gross stuff.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Anyway. We did that a couple times. That's what I
- 44:02Speaker 4: thought was fun, is we immediately went into who's calling things.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Called it.
- 44:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Very quickly, it was... Do you want to go through
- 44:10Speaker 4: the keeping score?
- 44:11Speaker 5: I got the first two right.
- 44:13Speaker 4: You were.
- 44:13Speaker 5: I got the, oh, wait, I bet that person's innards
- 44:15Speaker 5: are going to get stuck on that shard of glass
- 44:18Speaker 5: and they're going to be dragged all the way out.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I'll be sure.
- 44:20Speaker 13: Oh, right.
- 44:21Speaker 5: What was the other one I got right?
- 44:23Speaker 4: The mouth-to-mouth, which I think we all kind of saw
- 44:25Speaker 4: that coming. But you did say it aloud, so.
- 44:29Speaker 5: Yeah, like, oh, he's totally going to bite that guy.
- 44:31Speaker 5: He's going to bite his tongue off and I'll be damned.
- 44:33Speaker 5: There it was.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Yep.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Good times were ahead.
- 44:37Speaker 3: It was very.
- 44:38Speaker 5: They were not stingy with their killing people.
- 44:42Speaker 2: Especially kids.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Yeah, they were not worried at all. In fact, I'm
- 44:46Speaker 4: assuming they were doing that on purpose. Let's see how
- 44:48Speaker 4: far we can push this envelope.
- 44:50Speaker 7: Yeah, really, I think they killed like a total of
- 44:53Speaker 7: four kids, two babies. No, actually, five kids. Because there
- 44:58Speaker 7: was a little girl that was in one of the
- 45:00Speaker 7: houses where the zombies came in and just bashed.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Her brains in.
- 45:04Speaker 5: There was a lot of that going on. And I'm
- 45:05Speaker 5: not complaining. I like a good gratuitous head bash just
- 45:07Speaker 5: as much as the next person.
- 45:10Speaker 7: Misty thinks for far too long that kids have gotten
- 45:13Speaker 7: the easy pass in horror movies and it's about time
- 45:15Speaker 7: for them to die. Because in reality, that's what happens.
- 45:18Speaker 7: I mean, not to be cruel about it, but I mean,
- 45:23Speaker 7: in real life.
- 45:24Speaker 5: I've watched way too much Forensic Files.
- 45:26Speaker 7: She's watched way too much Forensic Files and know that
- 45:29Speaker 7: kids don't normally get a free pass. And so that's
- 45:33Speaker 7: not always 100% believable in a lot of horror movies
- 45:36Speaker 7: where the kid just magically makes his getaway.
- 45:40Speaker 5: I am not going to lie, though. I did not
- 45:41Speaker 5: see that from Bobby.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Yeah, they really, like, I assumed they were making him
- 45:46Speaker 4: into a character.
- 45:47Speaker 2: That's what I thought, too.
- 45:48Speaker 4: They very quickly built him up like, hey, okay.
- 45:50Speaker 10: Quirky sidekick.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Yeah. Like, he's just going to be hanging around with
- 45:53Speaker 4: this guy the whole, whoa, there he goes out the window.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Holy shit.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Girlfriend was like, wow, I didn't see that coming.
- 45:59Speaker 5: And usually I'm pretty good at calling shit, and I
- 46:01Speaker 5: did not see that one coming.
- 46:03Speaker 4: I was like, well, maybe now he'll come back, and
- 46:05Speaker 4: he'll be a zombie, so I can't get it. Nope.
- 46:07Speaker 4: Ripped open his insides.
- 46:09Speaker 5: I came really close to calling that one, because he
- 46:11Speaker 5: went to go give him CPR, and I'm like, oh,
- 46:13Speaker 5: he's going to crack a rib. I did not go
- 46:14Speaker 5: far enough.
- 46:15Speaker 4: You got a half point on that one.
- 46:17Speaker 2: Put his fist, or his hand, all the way through
- 46:20Speaker 2: his chest.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Started pulling errands out like happens about every 10 seconds
- 46:25Speaker 4: or so in this movie it's.
- 46:26Speaker 7: Not what it looks like yeah the cop sees him
- 46:28Speaker 7: he's trying to stuff the kids insides back inside of
- 46:31Speaker 7: him yeah it's not.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Gonna fix him it's not a pillow you can't restuff.
- 46:37Speaker 5: It they tried if he was touching him what does
- 46:40Speaker 5: that make logical.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Sense well he didn't know at the time and he
- 46:43Speaker 2: didn't touch him on the.
- 46:43Speaker 5: Forehead oh okay spoiler alert we already threw that oh
- 46:48Speaker 5: even more spoiler double spoiler alert at the very beginning
- 46:51Speaker 5: of the movie There's a scene, well, because from the
- 46:53Speaker 5: previous movie, he cuts his own arm off because it
- 46:55Speaker 5: got bitten by a zombie. You know you don't want
- 46:57Speaker 5: that shit happening, even though they said that they didn't
- 46:59Speaker 5: actually become zombies.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they weren't the right type of zombies. They were
- 47:02Speaker 2: zombies driven by revenge.
- 47:04Speaker 4: He'd just recently seen Evil Dead, so he was like, hey,
- 47:07Speaker 4: I know what to do.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so he cut his arm off.
- 47:10Speaker 4: He was very Evil Dead.
- 47:10Speaker 7: And then, of course, the main Nazi leader, when he
- 47:13Speaker 7: was trying to get to the guy in the car,
- 47:15Speaker 7: his arm magically gets ripped off.
- 47:17Speaker 5: Same arm. At the same spot.
- 47:19Speaker 2: At the same spot.
- 47:20Speaker 5: The same location.
- 47:21Speaker 2: And what happens?
- 47:23Speaker 7: They find his arm, and they sewed it back on
- 47:26Speaker 7: the good guy.
- 47:26Speaker 5: His boyfriend called that one, because he was like, oh,
- 47:28Speaker 5: but they sewed that guy's.
- 47:29Speaker 6: Arm on him.
- 47:30Speaker 4: Keeping score at home.
- 47:31Speaker 10: Yes.
- 47:32Speaker 5: There was a high five involved with that one, too.
- 47:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:34Speaker 7: Because, like, we were sitting there, and you know he's
- 47:36Speaker 7: got his arm up, and they got the sheet over
- 47:38Speaker 7: his arm.
- 47:38Speaker 2: I was like, dude, they totally sewed that Nazi's arm
- 47:41Speaker 2: onto the guy.
- 47:41Speaker 4: That's the wrong arm.
- 47:42Speaker 7: They had to, because it was the right, well, yeah,
- 47:44Speaker 7: it's not the right arm, but it was the right arm.
- 47:47Speaker 4: The right arm. It was just not the right guy.
- 47:50Speaker 5: So then there was a high five.
- 47:52Speaker 8: High five.
- 47:52Speaker 1: High five.
- 47:54Speaker 5: That was a lame high five.
- 47:55Speaker 6: Sorry.
- 47:55Speaker 5: It did not resonate well.
- 47:57Speaker 10: Fully.
- 47:58Speaker 1: There we go. There we go.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Totally worked that in.
- 48:01Speaker 2: That's your Foley guy.
- 48:03Speaker 5: But anyways, once he gets this magical zombie arm, apparently,
- 48:07Speaker 5: which gives him super zombie Nazi strength, because apparently that's
- 48:10Speaker 5: how it works, I guess.
- 48:11Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 5: He can apparently... Bring back the dead. Which, I felt
- 48:16Speaker 5: so sorry for his little pet zombie. He got the
- 48:19Speaker 5: shit kicked out of him.
- 48:20Speaker 7: They brought the guy back like four or five times.
- 48:24Speaker 5: Did he even have a name?
- 48:25Speaker 2: I don't think he did.
- 48:26Speaker 7: Like, he brought him back to life the first time
- 48:28Speaker 7: and then killed him. And then they brought him back
- 48:31Speaker 7: to life again, and then the zombie squad guy killed him.
- 48:34Speaker 7: And then they brought him back to life again, and
- 48:36Speaker 7: then they used him to get out of the ditch
- 48:39Speaker 7: to get traction.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Then they brought him back to life again.
- 48:44Speaker 5: And they ran over him with a tank.
- 48:45Speaker 2: They ran over him with a tank, yeah.
- 48:47Speaker 5: Does he have a name on IMDB, or is he
- 48:50Speaker 5: just zombie?
- 48:51Speaker 2: He's just an unaccredited zombie guy. He's got to be.
- 48:53Speaker 4: We'll check.
- 48:54Speaker 2: He's got to have a name.
- 48:56Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel bad if I had it after a while,
- 48:58Speaker 5: because apparently the Martin, who would be the survivor from
- 49:03Speaker 5: the first movie.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Vigor Hole?
- 49:05Speaker 5: Is that his name in the movie?
- 49:07Speaker 4: No, that's his actual name.
- 49:08Speaker 5: What's his name in the movie?
- 49:09Speaker 1: Martin.
- 49:10Speaker 5: No, the zombie he brings back.
- 49:11Speaker 4: Oh, let's talk about Martin.
- 49:14Speaker 7: Martin has the power to bring people back from the
- 49:17Speaker 7: dead with his Nazi zombie arm.
- 49:19Speaker 6: What?
- 49:20Speaker 5: Not necessarily bad.
- 49:21Speaker 2: Yeah, they obey him.
- 49:22Speaker 7: So whoever he tells them to attack, they attack. But
- 49:25Speaker 7: for the most part, this guy just kind of hangs
- 49:27Speaker 7: around like a lost puppy.
- 49:29Speaker 5: They even give him a good boy.
- 49:31Speaker 4: Yeah, he kind of whimpers sometimes.
- 49:32Speaker 2: Yeah, he kind of whimpers and acts more like a
- 49:36Speaker 2: dog than anything else.
- 49:38Speaker 4: It's a whole bunch of crazy Scandinavian names.
- 49:41Speaker 12: Aw.
- 49:42Speaker 4: Except for Derek Mears, who is not at all that
- 49:45Speaker 4: I know of.
- 49:45Speaker 5: Who is he? Who is he in that?
- 49:47Speaker 4: He's the, I'm assuming, the Russian. Isn't that Starvini? Isn't
- 49:51Speaker 4: that who they were going for?
- 49:52Speaker 10: Oh, yeah.
- 49:52Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 49:52Speaker 5: I was still waiting for the main cop guy to
- 49:55Speaker 5: die in this one. He was a douche.
- 49:56Speaker 2: Did he ever die?
- 49:57Speaker 6: He didn't die, did he?
- 49:58Speaker 5: No, he never did.
- 50:00Speaker 8: Nope, nope.
- 50:00Speaker 4: Sidekick zombie.
- 50:02Speaker 5: Aw, you didn't even get a name.
- 50:03Speaker 4: Poor psychic. Christopher Joner is the actual name of quote-unquote psychic.
- 50:07Speaker 5: I'm sure it's pronounced something weird and funny like Joner.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Christopher Joner.
- 50:11Speaker 5: Something weird like that. No offense, weird people who speak
- 50:13Speaker 5: weird languages.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Sorry, Scandinavia.
- 50:15Speaker 4: I thought it was Norwegian. Norwegia. Whatever.
- 50:19Speaker 5: Not Hoth.
- 50:20Speaker 4: We don't understand geography.
- 50:21Speaker 5: It is not Hoth. I'll tell you that right now.
- 50:24Speaker 5: It's more like Inder. the nerd i see a nerd
- 50:28Speaker 5: chick never got super hot she took.
- 50:29Speaker 4: Her glasses off but she pulled the other alternative which
- 50:33Speaker 4: if she's not gonna get the super hot makeover she's
- 50:36Speaker 4: gonna get the i'm gonna turn into a badass and
- 50:38Speaker 4: she did turn into a badass so she had to
- 50:41Speaker 4: go one or the other.
- 50:42Speaker 5: And what was my what was the favorite line that
- 50:44Speaker 5: both i damn near died don't hurt me i have
- 50:48Speaker 5: two kittens.
- 50:50Speaker 4: I still think that's possibly my favorite line in the
- 50:53Speaker 4: entire movie Don't worry, I have two kittens.
- 50:55Speaker 5: That was pretty hilarious, that guy.
- 50:57Speaker 4: He's a lot of fun. I was glad he stayed around.
- 51:01Speaker 4: I was afraid we were going to kill him right away.
- 51:03Speaker 4: Because I was like, I'm okay with this guy so far.
- 51:07Speaker 4: He's a good character. So I was glad to see
- 51:09Speaker 4: he hung around.
- 51:10Speaker 7: He had a very Lux Interior look to him.
- 51:14Speaker 2: If you look at him.
- 51:15Speaker 7: Because he had the eyeliner on and he had some
- 51:18Speaker 7: earrings and he had the really kind of short black hair.
- 51:21Speaker 5: I thought he was more Fallout boy. I don't know.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Depends on the decade, I suppose.
- 51:25Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 51:26Speaker 5: But anyways, he thinks he knows what's causing the zombies
- 51:32Speaker 5: to continue their attack. Because in the first one, it was,
- 51:34Speaker 5: you know, he found their pot of gold or some
- 51:37Speaker 5: shit like that.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Leprechauns?
- 51:39Speaker 4: Nazi leprechauns.
- 51:40Speaker 9: Leprechauns.
- 51:41Speaker 5: Well, anyways, so he returns their gold to them. And
- 51:44Speaker 5: then they're like, whoa, no, no. There's bound to be
- 51:46Speaker 5: another reason. So he goes to a World War II museum.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:51Speaker 4: Conveniently located in the near area.
- 51:53Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. I mean. And they figure there's got to
- 51:56Speaker 5: be a whole other reason that the zombies are, you know,
- 52:00Speaker 5: coming back with the help of his not so agreeable,
- 52:03Speaker 5: not really agreeable, so he didn't really want to be
- 52:06Speaker 5: his companion, his friend.
- 52:08Speaker 4: His reluctant companion.
- 52:09Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the word I'm looking for. Reluctant companion. That's
- 52:13Speaker 5: the way he smacked the newspaper out of that guy's face.
- 52:15Speaker 4: Again, one of the funnier things in the whole movie.
- 52:17Speaker 2: Because it's something you've always wanted to do.
- 52:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 52:21Speaker 4: And you just needed a Nazi arm sewn on you,
- 52:23Speaker 4: I guess, to make that happen.
- 52:24Speaker 5: It was so chock full of us making references to
- 52:28Speaker 5: Idle Hands. It was pretty much constantly me. Look at me,
- 52:33Speaker 5: look at me, I'm Leatherface. Idle Hands is the devil's ding-a-ling.
- 52:37Speaker 2: That's Squidbillies. That's Squidbillies.
- 52:44Speaker 5: I thought it was in, didn't they say it in the.
- 52:46Speaker 6: No.
- 52:47Speaker 4: That Squidbilly know that Squidbilly's... Idle Hands is the devil's plaything.
- 52:52Speaker 7: Idle Hands is the devil's plaything is what that guy...
- 52:55Speaker 7: I've been watching them both too much.
- 52:57Speaker 5: I need to watch them both.
- 52:58Speaker 7: And Squidbilly's early Kyler says Idle Hands is the devil's ding-a-ling.
- 53:04Speaker 5: I haven't watched either one of them for too long.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:08Speaker 4: So....
- 53:11Speaker 5: Jack knows where they.
- 53:13Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 53:14Speaker 4: Your dear friend Jack knows where they.
- 53:16Speaker 10: We.
- 53:16Speaker 5: Go way back.
- 53:18Speaker 4: All the way to when he was 21? Mm-hmm.
- 53:20Speaker 5: And dead at 21.
- 53:21Speaker 4: That happens.
- 53:22Speaker 5: But anyways, so, yeah.
- 53:24Speaker 4: So you did mention that you love in these movies
- 53:26Speaker 4: that when some sort of horrible situation breaks out, people
- 53:31Speaker 4: conveniently forget how to run?
- 53:32Speaker 5: Dude, preacher man, what the hell? It's like... Why do
- 53:38Speaker 5: people forget how to run whenever there is something chasing them?
- 53:40Speaker 5: It's just like there's a switch in their brain that
- 53:43Speaker 5: just flips off. And it's like, how do I run?
- 53:45Speaker 5: How do I move? How do I not fall like
- 53:47Speaker 5: a retard?
- 53:48Speaker 4: I mean, they usually run, but they get about three
- 53:50Speaker 4: steps and they fall over like a tree branch or
- 53:53Speaker 4: a twig.
- 53:53Speaker 2: And then they just lay there.
- 53:54Speaker 4: And they look back and take a lot of time
- 53:57Speaker 4: to do it.
- 53:58Speaker 2: And then put their hands up.
- 53:59Speaker 5: That's going to stop the zombie Nazis, the hands up
- 54:03Speaker 5: like this.
- 54:03Speaker 4: That's usually going to be like, oh, look. That or
- 54:05Speaker 4: a newspaper.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the newspaper didn't work.
- 54:11Speaker 5: Because, yeah, when a Nazi zombie comes at your face
- 54:13Speaker 5: with a knife, a newspaper is a good deflector.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Oh, that was a sledgehammer he came out with.
- 54:17Speaker 5: Oh, was it a sledgehammer at that point?
- 54:18Speaker 2: It was either a sledgehammer or an axe.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it was one of those.
- 54:20Speaker 5: There were so many axe, knife deaths.
- 54:23Speaker 4: There was a lot of axe to the heads in
- 54:25Speaker 4: this movie.
- 54:25Speaker 5: There was a lot of everything to the head in
- 54:26Speaker 5: this movie. It was just every couple minutes, like, whoop,
- 54:28Speaker 5: there goes another one to the head, there's another one
- 54:30Speaker 5: to the head, there's another one to the head.
- 54:31Speaker 10: It was just constant.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Oh, he's ripping out insides.
- 54:33Speaker 5: Dude, that was.
- 54:34Speaker 4: There's a lot of entrails, specifically intestines.
- 54:39Speaker 2: Yeah, when you use intestines to siphon gas, that's pretty good.
- 54:46Speaker 4: They get a lot out of intestines in movies lately.
- 54:49Speaker 5: They get a lot of intestines out of people.
- 54:51Speaker 4: Seems to be the case. This and the machete movies
- 54:57Speaker 4: for some reason. Anywhere they like to play with gooey intestine. Pretend.
- 55:04Speaker 12: What?
- 55:06Speaker 5: What's the one where they use the intestine as like
- 55:08Speaker 5: a bungee cord?
- 55:08Speaker 4: What was that?
- 55:09Speaker 2: That was Machete.
- 55:10Speaker 4: That was Machete number one, but Machete number two, he
- 55:13Speaker 4: throws the intestines up into the helicopter propeller.
- 55:15Speaker 5: Oh, Lord.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Yep, exactly.
- 55:19Speaker 2: Let me guess, it winds the guy up into the propeller?
- 55:21Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 55:21Speaker 2: Yeah, because that would happen.
- 55:22Speaker 4: Because that's exactly what would happen. In a movie.
- 55:26Speaker 2: Directed by Robert Rodriguez.
- 55:30Speaker 4: So, in this one, though, you also decided that not
- 55:34Speaker 4: only is the zombie-ism contagious, but so is Nazi-ism.
- 55:40Speaker 5: Well, yeah, apparently you can just spread that shit, too.
- 55:42Speaker 5: I thought it was just, you know, I can understand
- 55:45Speaker 5: zombie-ism being contagious, you know.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Well, no, I mean, you remember what he said in there.
- 55:49Speaker 7: It was like the guy, when he had the hand that,
- 55:54Speaker 7: when he brought back the corpses back to life, that
- 55:58Speaker 7: they were pretty much under his control.
- 56:00Speaker 2: They were under his command. So, naturally....
- 56:03Speaker 7: Anything that the Nazi leader brought back, they were going
- 56:06Speaker 7: to be following his lead.
- 56:08Speaker 2: Following his command.
- 56:11Speaker 1: He's a Nazi.
- 56:12Speaker 2: He's going to turn them into Nazis.
- 56:14Speaker 4: Nazi zombies. Who have really impressive muscle tone.
- 56:19Speaker 2: I guess. And a lot of goo coming out of
- 56:23Speaker 2: their mouth.
- 56:24Speaker 4: We noticed that with the arm attachment. That was a
- 56:27Speaker 4: ripped zombie arm.
- 56:29Speaker 3: It was.
- 56:30Speaker 5: It did not match at all. A zombie has been
- 56:32Speaker 5: in the ice for, like, however many years, a zombie
- 56:35Speaker 5: would have been there. His arm would not have been
- 56:37Speaker 5: in that great a shape.
- 56:38Speaker 2: Well, he did decompose.
- 56:40Speaker 5: But still, it would not have been in, like, pristine condition,
- 56:43Speaker 5: aside from a slight discoloration.
- 56:45Speaker 4: But maybe he has all the powers of the undead.
- 56:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 56:49Speaker 4: I guess that makes him all.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Ripped and shit. Remember because he said it was Satan's arm.
- 56:53Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, Satan's arm. Satan's arm. Ah, whatever. The movie
- 56:58Speaker 5: was ridiculous.
- 56:59Speaker 3: It was.
- 56:59Speaker 5: It was totally ridiculous.
- 57:01Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:02Speaker 4: What I thought was impressive, though, is it doesn't, like, again,
- 57:06Speaker 4: at this point, I've seen so much with zombies in general.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Every zombie movie, and now it's to the point of
- 57:13Speaker 4: zombie rom-coms and zombie TV shows, except iZombie, which is awesome.
- 57:18Speaker 4: I do love iZombie.
- 57:19Speaker 1: iZombie's awesome.
- 57:20Speaker 4: But, like, to this point, like, we've seen so many
- 57:23Speaker 4: variations that, like, it's so rare to see anybody do
- 57:26Speaker 4: something different.
- 57:27Speaker 5: And then call themselves out in their own movie for
- 57:29Speaker 5: doing something different, saying that they've created their own genre.
- 57:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:32Speaker 6: Yep.
- 57:32Speaker 5: It's in their own movie. Very meta.
- 57:35Speaker 4: Okay, which part are you talking about?
- 57:37Speaker 5: How about when the zombie guy, zombie squad is talking
- 57:41Speaker 5: to Martin and like, we've never seen anything like this before.
- 57:44Speaker 5: You've created your own genre. Were you asleep during that point?
- 57:48Speaker 4: No, I'm just trying to figure out what you were
- 57:50Speaker 4: talking about. Because I was just talking about the fact
- 57:51Speaker 4: that they don't, operate like normal zombies.
- 57:56Speaker 2: No.
- 57:57Speaker 4: They're not infectious. But not even that. In the beginning
- 58:00Speaker 4: we were like, man, they're pretty nimble for zombies.
- 58:04Speaker 2: They're not going for brains.
- 58:06Speaker 4: They're not going for brains, but they're also not shambling along.
- 58:09Speaker 4: They're not decaying and decrepit. They're kind of with it
- 58:15Speaker 4: and ripped and they beat the hell out of people.
- 58:17Speaker 4: And then when you get further into it, and I
- 58:19Speaker 4: don't know that it was like this in that first one,
- 58:21Speaker 4: but in this one, there's a massive amount of hand-to-hand
- 58:25Speaker 4: zombie combat.
- 58:26Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 58:26Speaker 4: Then I'm like, you don't see that in zombie, but
- 58:29Speaker 4: you see humans usually just annihilating zombies, and occasionally a
- 58:33Speaker 4: human gets, like, bitten.
- 58:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:35Speaker 4: But, like, you don't see just, like, choreographed battle scenes
- 58:39Speaker 4: going on.
- 58:40Speaker 5: Well, see, they made the comment in the movie, like,
- 58:41Speaker 5: I wish we could get weapons here. So it's one
- 58:43Speaker 5: of those countries where you can't get firearms, or you can't... have.
- 58:47Speaker 7: Like real yeah but still you know like brian's saying
- 58:51Speaker 7: they all had hatchets or sledgehammers or that's what they
- 58:54Speaker 7: could have i know but you don't see that level
- 58:57Speaker 7: of weapon proficiency with zombies in normal movies like he's
- 59:02Speaker 7: saying they generally just kind of shamble on they're like
- 59:05Speaker 7: and then they bite you these are like these guys
- 59:07Speaker 7: are like full-on tomahawk fighters.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Yeah and it's not the humans attacking the zombies like
- 59:13Speaker 4: the zombies are equally if not better i guess because
- 59:17Speaker 4: they are actual trained soldiers a long time ago so
- 59:20Speaker 4: like they all understand hand-to-hand combat so again it's probably
- 59:23Speaker 4: a little better put together than i would have expected
- 59:26Speaker 4: going into a silly movie like this. And the fact
- 59:29Speaker 4: that those action scenes work really well is like that
- 59:32Speaker 4: second half could have fallen apart. Cause there's not a
- 59:35Speaker 4: ton of story there. It becomes a lot of action.
- 59:38Speaker 4: And if the action wasn't good, it would have totally sucked.
- 59:41Speaker 4: But I really liked that second half because it's all
- 59:43Speaker 4: just hardcore hand to hand combat.
- 59:45Speaker 7: With zombie zombie versus zombie. They're just beating the crap
- 59:50Speaker 7: out of each other. I think even the cops are
- 59:52Speaker 7: kind of confused at that point. They're just hiding and
- 59:54Speaker 7: watching pretty much.
- 59:56Speaker 4: Waiting to get run over with a tank.
- 59:58Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 59:59Speaker 5: Because there was a tank, which was another one of
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: my big issues. Because if you have a tank.
- 1:00:04Speaker 4: It's a movie.
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: All right, you're the one who's usually pointing at every
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: little thing in a movie, but this is like a
- 1:00:09Speaker 5: big glaring defect.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: Because if you have a tank at a museum, it's
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: not going to be fully fucking loaded and operational.
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: No.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: It's not going to have a full.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: Or functional.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Functional.
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: No.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: They weld the hatches shut and they plug the barrels.
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: I mean, the zombies get in this, they turn it
- 1:00:24Speaker 5: after they drain the.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: Yeah, they siphon fuel from the tour bus into the tank.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: With the intestines.
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: With the intestines.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: You do.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: Assuming it's a gas-powered tank and not a diesel-powered tank,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: but I don't know.
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: It could be a diesel bus.
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: It could be a diesel bus.
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: It starts right up. They just start firing at shit.
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: They got all the ammunition in there they need. I'm like, no.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: No. I didn't even get to the ammunition. I was
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: just like, assuming this is original World War II era...
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: those treads just be completely dry right like wouldn't it
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: all be falling apart if it moved it might sit
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: there okay but like trying to roll it along at
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: this point but again it's.
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: A movie it's okay it was properly properly maintained I.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Guess so maybe they refurbished the treads.
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: They wouldn't keep it fully stocked and like all battle
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: ready they would not keep it like that.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: And the batteries wouldn't be charged in it either so
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: you mean when I was climbing on that tank out
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: in front of the field there and the armory I
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: couldn't have fired them I don't think so.
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: Damn it.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: Ruin my childhood.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: That's what I do. I'm a childhood ruiner.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: Trust me, I spent a lot of time trying to
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: get into tanks.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: I do not doubt that.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: This was just last weekend.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: When I was a kid. We had several tanks that
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: were around.
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: We've got at least three in New Albany.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: Yeah, they've got three in New Albany. But yeah, they
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: weld the hatches shut and they plug the barrels shut.
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: Can't get into them.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: A lot of times you can look inside them.
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: Are they fully stocked?
- 1:01:49Speaker 7: Fully stocked with tin cans, leaves, and garbage that people
- 1:01:52Speaker 7: shoved down in there.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: That's about it.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: Fire that out of there, yeah. But anyway, that was
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: my main problem. My main... Alright, I can believe Nazi zombies.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: I can believe most of the shenanigans, but you done
- 1:02:05Speaker 5: crossed my line of belief right there when you're telling
- 1:02:07Speaker 5: me that this tank sitting in a museum is still
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: fully operational and fully all ammunitioned up.
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: I told you, they busted into the museum and loaded
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: up on all the weaponry that they also had stockpiled
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: at the museum.
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: Yeah, that's the other thing that I don't understand is
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: they grab grenades, but you never see them use them.
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: There was a stack of rifles alongside the wall.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: And I was like, are they going to take the rifles?
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: Are they magically going to have ammunition left over?
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: They still have it in their jacket pocket, probably.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Yeah, but they don't have any, so.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Yeah, you would think if they bothered to introduce the grenades.
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: I mean, there's nothing we like more than watching things explode,
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: so they'd really make use of a lot of grenade explosion.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Didn't do anything.
- 1:02:58Speaker 7: Most of the stuff was handmade pipe bombs from the
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: zombie squad.
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: Which were pretty damn awesome, too. The zombie squad was
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: pretty fantastic.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: Did you see that?
- 1:03:15Speaker 12: Did you see that?
- 1:03:15Speaker 5: I hit it.
- 1:03:16Speaker 9: I hit it.
- 1:03:17Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I did it. I fucking did it. I hit it
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: right in the eye.
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Take a picture.
- 1:03:23Speaker 13: Please.
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: Take a picture with me.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: First zombie squad kill.
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: One, two.
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: Jeez.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: You get it?
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: Oh.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: We spoke on the phone.
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: I'm Daniel.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: This is Blake and Monica.
- 1:03:38Speaker 8: Hi.
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: We are the zombie squad.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: God damn it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: It's real. These are real dead people. And that's a
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: real zombie. You killed him. I can't believe it.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: Can we just focus for one second, guys? I'm so sorry.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: We are more professional than this.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: You're the zombie squad?
- 1:04:01Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: You're the zombie squad?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Yeah, we are the zombie squad. Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: I was just expecting something different.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: So was this guy when he woke up this morning.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Because i hit him in the face with an axe
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: yeah how did you find.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: Me um we tracked your iphone of course we're fucking
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: nerds this is what we do technical shit martin star
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: i'm telling you i don't know if i've ever seen
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: him not awesome like and this is probably one of
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: his more likable roles because at least since he's been
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: a grown-up freaks and geeks he's awesome and super like
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: dorky kid that's cool in his own way. But ever
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: since then, he's always like the dick in every movie.
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: I've never seen him in anything else that I'm aware of.
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: Oh man, I'm telling you. That show that I can't.
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: Remember the name of.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Party Down?
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: No, Party Down. I remember there was a party involved somewhere.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: Oh, if Martin Starr is there, it's a party. Yeah,
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Party Down, he's freaking awesome. Everybody in that cast is awesome,
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: but that's kind of the first time I really noticed him,
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: because I don't think I'd I think I reverse watched
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: it and saw Freaks and Geeks after I'd already seen
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: Party Down. So yeah, he's so entertaining on Party Down.
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: And just kind of a jerk.
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: All the time.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: Good times.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: But a likable jerk. Where here he's actually just kind
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: of a likable geek. He's the Freaks and Geeks grown up.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: He's just really got interested in zombies as he grew up.
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: And says your favorite phrase, Misty.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: Which one?
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: Ka-fucking-boom.
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: Ka-fucking-boom. I need to remember. I need to write that
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: shit down so I can work that into more conversations
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: and more everyday life. That needs to happen. Ka-fucking-boom.
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that was way more interesting. I mean, by the end,
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: I guess they played up the fact, but because they
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: were doing pretty cliche geeks anyway, but the fact that
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: one did nothing but say Star Wars quotes the whole
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: time was a little hacky.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: But she was cute.
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: She was cute, so that made her pull out. And
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: they were really entertaining otherwise. I was just like, that's
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: all we have to go with?
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: She was wearing the shirt that had the quote on
- 1:06:12Speaker 5: it or something. And then every other line she said
- 1:06:15Speaker 5: was a Star Wars reference.
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: There's a way to make really fun geek characters. Again,
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: it's not just like a cheesy stereotype at this point.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: There's enough geeks in the world. Some of them may
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: be at this table right now. I don't know what
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: you're talking about. There's plenty of them out there. It's
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: not like it's just a generic stereotype now. There's a
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: lot of fully functional people in the world that are geeks.
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: There's a lot of non-functional people in the world that
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: are geeks.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: That's true, too.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: I've smelled several of them.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: But, again, I feel like it's such an easy way
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: out to just... make it i don't know so yeah
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: it just seemed like a cop out i'll be like
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: all right and she's just gonna spout star wars lines
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: i'm like yeah we can all do that but like
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: at least yeah a little more well-rounded.
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: Characters when you had the hot chick they tried to
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: nerd down with some glasses and a sweater vest and
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: a ponytail like an old lady ponytail not even like
- 1:07:09Speaker 5: a sassy bun ponytail she was wearing like a Like
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: a librarian ponytail.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Well, that's how you do it.
- 1:07:14Speaker 5: And put her in nerd glasses. I'm like, oh, yeah,
- 1:07:16Speaker 5: she's going to be bombshell later. No, I just took
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: the glasses off. She went a little bit nuts, but
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: she never went full on hot.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: She was crazy, though.
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: I like that, though. She was like fucking nutters.
- 1:07:24Speaker 4: Crazy is the way to go. Mm-hmm. Also, I believe
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: a little too much vomit for some people.
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: Oh, my God. It's like every once in a while
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: I can understand, like, You know, like a slight reference
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: to Vomit. I'm not a fan of Vomit. I do
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: not like the actual process of Vomit. I do not
- 1:07:41Speaker 5: like to witness the Vomit. I do not like anything
- 1:07:43Speaker 5: about the process. I don't even like to see it
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: in movies. And this was in there at least three
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: characters threw up, like, excessively. Like, projectile with, like, chunks.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: Again, I feel like I'm not so much taking a
- 1:07:57Speaker 4: shot at this movie. In general, like, I feel like
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: in movies it's just a cheap shot. It's just a cop-out.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: It's like It's such an easy way to get a
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: gross out reaction from people. Because when I think how
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: many times I see people vomit in movies versus how
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: often I actually run into it in the real world.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: Just that once. Granted, I don't hang out with drunk people.
- 1:08:17Speaker 5: Vomit girl.
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: If at all.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: I don't hang out with small children. So that's where
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: you're going to get most of your vomit. But if
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: you eliminate those two areas from your life, I'm going
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: to guess you really don't see a ton of people
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: vomiting on a daily basis. So I think, again, that's
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: just sort of a. A cheap shortcut for movies to take.
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: And it was just disgusting because the.
- 1:08:37Speaker 10: The window.
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: The window.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: The window was really gross.
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: I'm like, dude, you go to another window. You don't
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: just like.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: You don't squeegee it off with your hand.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: With your hand.
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: You do not do that. I'm like, I need to
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: go find a new window because that's disgusting. You know,
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: I don't care what zombie apocalypse is going on. I'm
- 1:08:53Speaker 5: going to take a second and find a different window.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: Because that's gross.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: There seems to want to space a little bit. like
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: Martin's face. I'm like, dude, no. I don't know. I
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: love you, boyfriend, but if you ever get your vomit
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: on me, I'm going to be so pissed. Please don't
- 1:09:13Speaker 5: ever throw up on me.
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: I'll be sure to face my head in the opposite direction.
- 1:09:17Speaker 5: I've heard that shit.
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:19Speaker 5: I'm so caring and loving.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Aren't you though?
- 1:09:22Speaker 5: I know, I try.
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: We had our wacky zombie doctor.
- 1:09:26Speaker 5: What the hell was up with that guy?
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: He was the Nazi zombie doctor.
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: He was like MacGyver and the zombies back together. One
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: of them he shoved full of hay.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: See, you can restuff him.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: He was right.
- 1:09:38Speaker 5: One of them you have fucking shove a plunger, like
- 1:09:40Speaker 5: give him a plunger peg leg. Like really dude? And
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: he just walks on about like okie doke.
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: I think they're making a statement about the experimental medical
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: situations that were going on in actual zombie times.
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: In actual zombie times, I guess. Zombie times, you know.
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: I must have skipped that history chapter, you know.
- 1:10:01Speaker 4: You weren't paying attention that day.
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: I probably wasn't. I probably made somebody else do my homework.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: You probably did. But back in the day, they were
- 1:10:12Speaker 4: experimenting on people.
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: I know that.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Some of which might have been zombies.
- 1:10:18Speaker 7: Okay.
- 1:10:18Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: I mean, you know, Hitler was interested in the undead
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: quite a bit, so we've been told.
- 1:10:27Speaker 5: What else was there? I'm tired. I've forgotten most of
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: the movie already.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: Again, another variation with this is because they're not so
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: shambling zombies, they also, again, I feel like it reverses
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: so much of your traditional zombie movie. There's so many
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: times when you watch zombies that... ridiculously or horribly kill
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: a human which is usually the other way you get
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: to like your dawn of the dead and humans are
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: doing you know the wacky pie in the face kind
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: of kills that they do there and we've seen a
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: lot of weird variations of that of you know your
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: zombie land where they're hitting them in the head with
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: crazy stuff and like this one you see like two
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: zombies picking people up and like throwing them into a
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: picket fence and you see them like All those weird little.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: They chuck one out the window.
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: Yeah. That usually is the human throwing the zombie out there.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: And it's hilarious that the zombie goes flying. And this one, they,
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: they always seem to reverse that. And you see, we
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: watched the zombie like kill humans in a horrible and
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: sometimes funny way.
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: The wheelchair girl.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: See, again, that is one of those, like you've watched
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: so many like zombies get curb stomped in the last,
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: you know, 20 years of them making zombie movies. I
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: think that's the first time I've seen a zombie just
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: stomp the head of a human being. That's, They're just
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: mixing up a little bit.
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: What was the most satisfying part of this movie for you, boyfriend?
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: I think watching him throw the kid out the window.
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: That was, that was, I don't know if I'd call
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: it satisfying. She really doesn't like kids.
- 1:11:58Speaker 14: I mean, it was kind of funny. I mean, it
- 1:12:01Speaker 14: was funny and it was like completely just out of nowhere.
- 1:12:04Speaker 14: Cause like, The kid's like, you promised the kid ice cream.
- 1:12:09Speaker 14: And then the kid's like, where's my ice cream? And
- 1:12:12Speaker 14: he goes, there is no ice cream. And he goes,
- 1:12:13Speaker 14: but you promised ice cream.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: And then whammo, he's right through the window.
- 1:12:17Speaker 5: That's what makes it satisfying for me. Because you're so
- 1:12:20Speaker 5: used to seeing everything. And that was the first thing
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: that I was just like, holy shit, I did not
- 1:12:24Speaker 5: see that coming. That's the first thing. It's like, that's
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: what makes it satisfying to me. It's something that actually
- 1:12:29Speaker 5: caught me off guard, you know, for once in a movie.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: You weren't able to call it.
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: You know, it's like every movie is so, like, Even
- 1:12:36Speaker 5: in this movie, at some point, I'm like, hey, it's
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: going to happen. This is going to happen. This is
- 1:12:39Speaker 5: going to happen. Whoa, didn't see that one coming. So
- 1:12:43Speaker 5: to me, that's what makes it satisfying is that a
- 1:12:44Speaker 5: movie actually surprised me and did something that I did
- 1:12:46Speaker 5: not see coming and that was so out of left
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: field and right out the window.
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: There were a lot of things in this movie that
- 1:12:54Speaker 7: were like that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: I still just like the simple smacking the paper out
- 1:12:58Speaker 4: of his face. That's almost one of my favorite moments.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Was that the most satisfying moment? It might be.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: That and the kittens. It was a one-two punch of,
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: don't hurt me, I have two kittens.
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure he had a unicorn tattoo as well.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: He had little stars on his neck.
- 1:13:13Speaker 5: You could tell they were fake. Why didn't he have
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: kitten tattoos?
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: Because he has them at home. He doesn't have a unicorn. No.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: He was pretty fantastic. I like that guy. I forgot
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: his name already, but he was pretty fantastic. Did he
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: have a name? I'm pretty sure he had a name.
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: He had no name.
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: Purple shirt.
- 1:13:36Speaker 7: Fancy museum runner.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: He could have ran from them zombies a little bit
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: faster if he wasn't wearing them fucking tight jeans.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Well, that's how the kids wear them these days. Glenn,
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: I believe.
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: Is that his name in the movie?
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: Or Stig. I can't tell the real names. No, Stig
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: is his actual name. Glenn is his name in the movie.
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: Does he drive cars for Top Gear?
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: No, Top Gear. Not the Stig.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: Whatever, dude.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: All right. Is there anything we missed on this one?
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: I have no problem with the wrap-up that you seem
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: to have issues with. That wrap-up was horrendous.
- 1:14:15Speaker 2: Oh, that was awful.
- 1:14:17Speaker 5: It's like, dude, there's where the other line was at
- 1:14:20Speaker 5: a cross. Yeah. Where it's like, okay, I had to
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: suspend belief up until this point, but then I know
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: you just know. Yeah.
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: You people with your... We're just old. conventions about necrophilia.
- 1:14:35Speaker 4: Old-fashioned ways about not screwing zombies.
- 1:14:38Speaker 5: I know, right? Don't be digging up your ex-girlfriend that
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: you accidentally ax-chopped in the neck.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: She really is ex, though.
- 1:14:45Speaker 5: Well, she was his dead girlfriend, I guess.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: It hadn't been that long.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: She was pretty decayed looking.
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: If it hadn't only been, like, how long was the
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: time period?
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm trying to figure out.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Do they not embalm people over there?
- 1:14:58Speaker 5: I was surprised she was buried already.
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: But, I mean, did they not embalm them?
- 1:15:03Speaker 7: I mean, she didn't look that bad when she was killed.
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: I don't know. She looked pretty damn rough. She looked
- 1:15:07Speaker 5: like she'd already been worked over by a zombie, if
- 1:15:09Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying. Yeah. I don't even know
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: what I'm saying, but she looked pretty bad.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: She definitely got worked over by the end of the movie.
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: Titanic style.
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: I do like the little shout out there.
- 1:15:20Speaker 5: That was so disgusting. And then they show the, you know,
- 1:15:24Speaker 5: poor little pet zombie looking all sad.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Still running up, the injured pup that he is.
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: Aw. God, that was horrible.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: And the teeth.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: There was a trilogy teaser?
- 1:15:40Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: At the very end, after the credits, bun-dun-dun, super-duper spoiler alert.
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: Oh, I got up and left at that point.
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: You did.
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: You didn't miss much. The doctor picks up the.
- 1:15:48Speaker 9: Head of the.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Oh, God.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: The zombie leader dude who got his head blown off.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: How is the doctor still alive?
- 1:15:54Speaker 5: His head should have been, like, blowed up.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: Well, no, no, no, no, because they said in the
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: whole thing that the doctor... Or, I mean, sorry, that
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: the main guy.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: The main bad guy, they're all tied to him. So
- 1:16:07Speaker 7: once they kill him, all the other ones are dead.
- 1:16:10Speaker 5: Apparently that doesn't apply to the doctor.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: Oh, God.
- 1:16:13Speaker 5: He has a special.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Is this chess? Can he move special movements?
- 1:16:18Speaker 5: Apparently he can. Anyways, he picks up the... The head
- 1:16:22Speaker 5: should have been blowed up, not just dismembered.
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: I mean, within the scene, we did kind of see
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: it pop off like a very silly Ken doll. So,
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: I mean.
- 1:16:30Speaker 5: I like Pasha's head in that box earlier today.
- 1:16:32Speaker 4: That's true. You were playing with your dolls earlier.
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: I was.
- 1:16:35Speaker 5: But anyways, it should not have been like just like.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: It would be disintegrated. His head was in front of it.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: In the shot, it does look like it just goes
- 1:16:43Speaker 4: flying off. So I guess they covered their bases and
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: they're like, well, we're probably going to shoot that scene later.
- 1:16:48Speaker 5: Anyway, so the doctor picks the head up and the
- 1:16:50Speaker 5: eyes open. You're like, dun, dun, dun. Dead Snow 3.
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: Dead Snow 3, colon something or other.
- 1:16:56Speaker 5: Necrophilia in the back of a Jeep. It probably wasn't
- 1:16:59Speaker 5: a Jeep.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: It was a Nissan. You been jeeping behind my back?
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: Jeeping? Oh, my God. Why haven't we done that movie?
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: Because we'd just sit there and recite the whole damn thing.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: We would.
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Vehicular.
- 1:17:16Speaker 5: I totally paused.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: Oh, God. We're spiraling out of control. It's late. I
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: guess we should wrap this up. Is there anything else?
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: You would like to pass me.
- 1:17:28Speaker 5: Whenever I'm on a shuttle and somebody crosses their legs
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: towards mine and mine are crossed that way, I'm like, oh,
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: it's an unglobal sex invite.
- 1:17:37Speaker 4: We will officially jump movies, but all right.
- 1:17:40Speaker 5: I have to cross my legs the other way because
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: that scene in that movie and I just can't. Boyfriend
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: has not watched Clueless all the way through.
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: I haven't even watched Clueless, period.
- 1:17:50Speaker 5: Of course, you watched the edited version.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: What?
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: That girl is hermetically sealed.
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: What? Oh, thank you, USA Network versions of movies.
- 1:18:01Speaker 5: There's a scene where Cher and Dion, she's hymenally challenged,
- 1:18:06Speaker 5: and they change it to she's hermetically sealed.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: That's an odd way to go with it, but, I mean,
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: I guess. Technically, I don't know if that's right.
- 1:18:18Speaker 5: There goes her social life. It would just be an
- 1:18:21Speaker 5: entire episode, because it's.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: I mean, it's rare that we go a day without me.
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: You could be a farmer with us. We're losing it.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: All right. Anything else to pass along to the world? No.
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: I want to go watch Clueless.
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: Zombies equals Clueless.
- 1:18:43Speaker 5: I think I made a zombie version of that. Where
- 1:18:45Speaker 5: they try to rehabilitate Ty and she's actually a zombie.
- 1:18:48Speaker 5: They could bring back Brittany Murphy.
- 1:18:49Speaker 9: I was just thinking.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: Well, we've already got one of them. She's a zombie,
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: but she certainly passed on.
- 1:18:56Speaker 5: Not to be disrespectful.
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: We're all very big fans of Miss Brittany. May she
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: rest in peace. Unless she's a zombie. And then we
- 1:19:06Speaker 4: must destroy her. I'll never tell. All right, let's get
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: the hell out of here. Otherwise, that about does it.
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: We will return next week. Same geek read. Thanks for listening. Bye.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: Bye.
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: Does this mean I can eat my Tootsie Rolls now?
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: Yes, you can eat a whole bag of Tootsie Rolls
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: like you're going to do.
- 1:19:25Speaker 5: About five pounds of them.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: As you will.
- 1:19:29Speaker 11: Love she sees apart from me, possessed.
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: Behind the eyes.
- 1:19:36Speaker 11: Apart from the frightening, the moaning, the biting, you seem
- 1:19:40Speaker 11: to be the nice guy.
- 1:19:42Speaker 5: And I know.
- 1:19:43Speaker 11: What she thinks when she looks at me, when she
- 1:19:47Speaker 11: looks with such despair.
- 1:19:50Speaker 10: But you're not.
- 1:19:51Speaker 12: The only one around.
- 1:19:54Speaker 11: Here that needs a bit of fresh air. Cause I'm
- 1:20:01Speaker 11: a sad, sad post-teen Caught up in the love machine
- 1:20:05Speaker 11: No dream come clean Walking like.
- 1:20:07Speaker 10: A zombie Like a zombie And I'm.
- 1:20:14Speaker 12: A cold train fast lane Caught.
- 1:20:17Speaker 10: Up in the dirty rain No pain, no gain Walking
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: like a zombie Like a zombie.
- 1:20:27Speaker 11: Well, this old place here, mine is falling apart. She's
- 1:20:31Speaker 11: on the road as she goes, but she won't get far.
- 1:20:34Speaker 11: I'm on a shoulder parole.
- 1:20:36Speaker 10: To the toad in the hole I got closer.
- 1:20:41Speaker 11: Short eyes and there's blood in my teeth I got
- 1:20:44Speaker 11: a ripped up jacket.
- 1:20:46Speaker 12: And a friend who's a thief Well, I'm a prophet
- 1:20:48Speaker 12: out of mouth, trying to.
- 1:20:50Speaker 11: Put it out But the fire inside keeps burning, burning
- 1:20:54Speaker 11: out Cause I'm.
- 1:20:55Speaker 12: A Southside post-teen, could I be in the love machine?
- 1:20:59Speaker 10: No dream concrete, walking like a zombie Like a zombie.
- 1:21:07Speaker 12: And I'm a cold train fast lane caught.
- 1:21:10Speaker 10: Up in the dirty rain. No pain, no gain. Walking
- 1:21:14Speaker 10: like a zombie. Like a zombie. Hold your own in
- 1:21:39Speaker 10: the situation.
- 1:21:41Speaker 12: Don't be afraid to be a friend.
- 1:21:47Speaker 10: Cause I won't hurt you, girl. I'll leave you a
- 1:21:52Speaker 10: loose end.
- 1:21:53Speaker 12: You made me.
- 1:21:54Speaker 10: Alive enough to love again.
- 1:22:00Speaker 12: Cause I'm a sad, sad post-teen Caught up in the
- 1:22:04Speaker 12: love machine No dream concrete Walking.
- 1:22:09Speaker 10: Like a zombie Like a zombie And I'm a.
- 1:22:14Speaker 12: Cold train fast lane Caught up in the dirty rain
- 1:22:17Speaker 12: No pain.
- 1:22:18Speaker 10: No gain Walking like a zombie Like a zombie Cause
- 1:22:27Speaker 10: I'm a sad, sad post-teen Caught up in the love
- 1:22:30Speaker 10: machine No dream concrete Walking like a zombie Like a
- 1:22:35Speaker 10: zombie And I'm a cold train fast lane Caught up.
- 1:22:40Speaker 12: In the dirty rain No plane, no game Walking like
- 1:22:46Speaker 12: a zombie Like a.
- 1:22:49Speaker 13: Zombie Dude, you saw the ginormous bag of Tootsie Rolls.
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: I'll come home and there'll be like a pile of wrappers.
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: Buried in wrappers.
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much.
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: I've got some moon pies in there too, if you
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: need a moon pie.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: Who doesn't need moon pies at any given moment? Your
- 1:23:47Speaker 4: future is dismantling things.
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: It's a plant.
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: I can see that.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: She ain't like plants. She don't consort with the plant.
- 1:23:55Speaker 5: It's a bright red tea, which is a plant.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: It's all dried up.
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: Tea's weird.
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: She's riveled up.
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: Tea water. I first bought them. Everyone's like, how many
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: have you eaten so far? And I'm like, how many
- 1:24:08Speaker 5: have you thought I've eaten? And he's like, I don't know,
- 1:24:10Speaker 5: like five? And I'm like.
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: Hundred.
