- 0:00Speaker 1: It's your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and it's time right now for today's word. The roar
- 0:09Speaker 1: is loud, but God has the final word. Jeremiah 5.22 says,
- 0:16Speaker 1: It is I who have drawn for all times the
- 0:19Speaker 1: boundaries of the sea. The waves may crash and the
- 0:23Speaker 1: roar against the sand, but the waters do not cross
- 0:26Speaker 1: the lines I have drawn. Have you ever had negative
- 0:31Speaker 1: thoughts roaring in your mind, thoughts telling you you'll never
- 0:34Speaker 1: get well, you'll never get out of debt, you'll never
- 0:37Speaker 1: break free from that addiction, you'll never recover from what
- 0:41Speaker 1: happened to you? The enemy wants you to believe that
- 0:44Speaker 1: you're facing something that's bigger than your God. He wants
- 0:48Speaker 1: the noise of your circumstances to drown out the truth
- 0:51Speaker 1: of God's word. But today I came to remind you,
- 0:54Speaker 1: just because it's making noise doesn't mean it has the
- 0:57Speaker 1: authority to determine your outcome. Look at the waves of
- 1:00Speaker 1: the ocean. They crash against the shore and they roar
- 1:04Speaker 1: with tremendous force. But God established boundaries here. that the
- 1:09Speaker 1: waters can't cross. The waves can make all the noise
- 1:13Speaker 1: they want, but they still have to respect the limits
- 1:17Speaker 1: God has set. The same God who established boundaries for
- 1:21Speaker 1: the sea is still the God over your life. The
- 1:25Speaker 1: Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5 and 8 that
- 1:27Speaker 1: the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion looking for
- 1:31Speaker 1: someone to devour. Notice he roars. He wants to intimidate you.
- 1:36Speaker 1: He wants to frighten you. He wants to make you
- 1:38Speaker 1: believe defeat is inevitable. But don't confuse a loud threat
- 1:43Speaker 1: with a final outcome. Come on, Jesus. When fear starts talking,
- 1:47Speaker 1: answer it with faith. When doubt says you won't make it,
- 1:49Speaker 1: remind yourself that God has promised never to leave you
- 1:53Speaker 1: nor forsake you. When discouragement tells you to give up,
- 1:55Speaker 1: remember that you can do all things through Christ who
- 1:58Speaker 1: strengthens you. And listen, roaring back doesn't mean pretending your
- 2:03Speaker 1: problem doesn't exist. It means refusing to let your problems
- 2:07Speaker 1: have the final word. You can acknowledge the storm and
- 2:10Speaker 1: still trust the one who walks with you through the storm.
- 2:13Speaker 1: So guard your mind. Speak life over yourself. Declare God's
- 2:16Speaker 1: truth over your family, your future, your circumstances. Pray when
- 2:20Speaker 1: fear rises. Seek help when you need it. Keep taking
- 2:23Speaker 1: the next faithful step. Even when the waves are crashing
- 2:27Speaker 1: around you, the roar may be real, but it does
- 2:30Speaker 1: not have the rule over you. The enemy can make threats.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Circumstances can create uncertainty and negative thoughts can try to
- 2:39Speaker 1: overwhelm you, but you don't have to surrender your peace
- 2:43Speaker 1: to the noise. Today, I'm encouraging you to stand on
- 2:46Speaker 1: the word of God. Let your faith speak louder than
- 2:48Speaker 1: your fear because the roar is loud, but God has
- 2:52Speaker 1: the final say. Father, thank you for your word is
- 2:56Speaker 1: greater than every fear, every negative thought, and every storm
- 2:59Speaker 1: we face. Help us to recognize the enemy's attempts to
- 3:02Speaker 1: discourage us and give us the strength to stand firm
- 3:05Speaker 1: in faith. God, guard our minds against thoughts of defeat, insecurity,
- 3:09Speaker 1: or hopelessness. Teach us, God, to speak life, trust your promises,
- 3:13Speaker 1: and walk in the authority that you've given us through Christ.
- 3:17Speaker 1: When the waves rise and the noise gets loud, remind
- 3:20Speaker 1: us that you are still God and we're not facing
- 3:23Speaker 1: this battle alone. In Jesus' name. Now that's your word
- 3:26Speaker 1: for today. Take it, apply it to your everyday life,
- 3:29Speaker 1: and you continue to be encouraged and inspired. It is
- 3:31Speaker 1: your early morning praise party. I am Sherri Mackey.
