- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happened to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning. We are actually walking and we
- 0:33are headed out to the garden because we are going to
- 0:37transplant a lot of the tomatoes that have had the challenge
- 0:42where they got destroyed. Basically not the upper parts of
- 0:47the plants were not destroyed, but it was not the roots were
- 0:50destroyed, but the little part of the stem right around the
- 0:53middle. Something decided to eat through
- 0:56it. Apparently it was delicious and
- 0:58it decided to eat through it. And lo and behold, the plant
- 1:02looked like it had gone through a garbage disposal all week and,
- 1:07you know, just flopped over. So I decided to experiment by
- 1:11cutting off the plant where the incident happened, rooting them
- 1:17in water to see if I could get them to do it, and then
- 1:20replanting them. And it has been a huge success,
- 1:24a tremendous success. And again, everything in this
- 1:27world of farming and gardening and flowers and veggies and
- 1:31fruits is always an experiment. And I am constantly having to
- 1:36shift and make things, you know, an, an experiment long term.
- 1:42So this doesn't always bode well with my certainty girl because
- 1:48I'm forever having to shift things around and make it so
- 1:51that I can get the outcomes I want.
- 1:54But guess what? That's very challenging when you
- 1:57are, if you hear a noise in the background, that's me pulling
- 1:59the little wagon with all the stuff in it.
- 2:02It It's very challenging when you're certainty driven because
- 2:07there's no way to say, OK, this is absolute, this is going to
- 2:12work. I can have an intention, I can
- 2:15manifest that I can say, OK, I'm intending this is this has
- 2:19already happened. I can put all of that good stuff
- 2:22out there. But in the final analysis, it
- 2:25can still all get screwed up. And I have to have an additional
- 2:30belief added into this that it's all for the greater good.
- 2:34It's all for the reason that I, I must be able to shift my
- 2:40awareness and be able to say, OK, I need to do something
- 2:43different. I need to do something different
- 2:45right now. So it's OK and it's part of the
- 2:48process, it's part of growth. And for me, the line is always,
- 2:54and it's really pushing my creativity to think differently.
- 2:57And then magically I'm OK with it all.
- 3:00As soon as I start saying stuff like that to myself, like, oh,
- 3:04this is how I grow my creativity, This is how I see
- 3:08myself differently. I mean, that makes all the
- 3:12difference. So I can shift.
- 3:16I can be excited about it. I can say I've got it, I've
- 3:19locked it down. I understand.
- 3:22And then I feel good about it because I, I'm, it's making my
- 3:26creativity grow because for me, one of the highest priorities is
- 3:30that I'm always being creative. I'm always looking to be
- 3:33creative. I'm always thinking differently.
- 3:35I'm always trying to find ways to push my imagination and my
- 3:39creativity. And by doing that, I feel good
- 3:43it. I don't need rest.
- 3:45I don't need vacations. I don't need pretty purses.
- 3:48I don't need all kinds of stuff. I need my creativity to be off
- 3:52the chart. And when my creativity is off
- 3:54the chart, I feel really fantastic.
- 3:57And just recognizing that for myself is such a big deal.
- 4:01Because the moment I do that, the moment I have that
- 4:04awareness, I start to go, OK, I got this.
- 4:08This is a good thing. This is a good thing.
- 4:10And I can, I can make anything happen at that point.
- 4:13But when I forget that, when I forget that detail, when I
- 4:16forget that that's where my head is, then all of a sudden I feel
- 4:20crappy and I feel like, you know, this is, this is not good.
- 4:26I don't have certainty. I need to find it.
- 4:28I need to figure out what, what can I do to so I know this is
- 4:31going to work. And then you're, you're off the
- 4:34rails at that point. So just from the standard of
- 4:38setting yourself up and saying, Hey, listen, if I know that one
- 4:42of my highest priorities is to be creative, then I 1000% know
- 4:48that I can find ways to make that happen.
- 4:51Even in all the problems, even in the challenges, even in the
- 4:55stuff that doesn't seem like it's good, I can still find ways
- 4:59to make it happen. And that's the point of today's
- 5:03little visit out here to the garden, is that I look at the
- 5:06tomatoes and they're a constant reminder of the fact that,
- 5:10listen, I thought I had this all perfect.
- 5:12I started them the right time. I did the right seeds, I had the
- 5:15right stuff. I did the bags this year instead
- 5:17of putting them right in the ground so they wouldn't have the
- 5:19disease. And even with all of that, even
- 5:22with all of that, I still had a challenge.
- 5:25And that challenge, it turned out to be really pushing my
- 5:30creativity, which turned out to make me really happy.
- 5:34So remember, it doesn't always have to be what you think in the
- 5:39beginning. You can change it, you can morph
- 5:41it, you can make it different, make it better, but give
- 5:44yourself the gift. Give yourself the gift and make
- 5:49sure you understand that in the problems you can still find ways
- 5:54to use your imagination and your creativity.
- 5:57Hope you guys have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 6:00Bye.
