- The Drama Drop: Hey guys, welcome back to the drama drop. We have some mess to unpack today. Love Overboard has reportedly been canceled after one season. Jackson Brittany's divorce drama has somehow gotten even darker, and the Love Island reunion had me looking at a few of my former favorites very differently. I have questions, I have opinions, and unfortunately for some of these people, I have a lot to say. So get ready because the drama drops now. All right, guys, what's going on over at the Unwell Network? Because things clearly aren't going well. I know that sounds so cheesy, but it's seriously, it's so true. Everything seems so far that Alex Cooper puts her name on has been failing. If you guys haven't seen Love Overboard has been canceled after season one. And honestly, you might be like, wait, Love Overboard? What is that? Because whenever I was chatting it up with my friends in our group chat, dropping the news. Couple of them were like, never heard of it. Did it already premiere? So that's a little embarrassing. But yeah, in fact, had already premiered a whole season, has been out. It was on Hulu. Gabby Wendy, you know, she was the host. And honestly, like I watched it. I of course dabbled. I mean, I interviewed James and it was such a fun interview. Like he was so great. It was a fun show. Did I think that it was anything groundbreaking? You know, there's so many dating shows out there. Did I think it was anything that was gonna make the mark the way that Love Island does or The Bachelor, Bachelorette, no, but I felt like it was a fun, cheeky show. You know, I mean, you can clearly tell that the people that are on there are young, good looking, you know, probably influencer-esque type people. So it's like, okay, is anything really substantial gonna come from these couples, whatever? No. But again, like I said, it seemed like a fun time, a fun concept of dating on a yacht type of situation. hence the love overboard. So if you didn't know that part. You're out in the middle of the ocean, you're on a yacht, and then people vote off couples, whatever. But yeah, it got canceled after one season, which honestly shocked me just like a little bit. Because if you guys have dabbled at all in the Unwell Games, you know, she did a winter Unwell Games, which was a YouTube show. If I remember, like if I'm recalling correctly, it was only on YouTube. And then now there's gonna be a summer Unwell Games with a whole new cast except for. Hallie Batchelder, like she's gonna be back on it. But I'm shocked that that is having another season and not love overboard. Like I was really looking forward to another love overboard. Like I said, I don't hold like these dating shows like with a lot of weight, like thinking like, I'm so excited to see the next couple blossom in front of our eyes because like I just don't think that that's the reality with these reality love shows. But it's just Fun. It's just something mindless to watch. I love to just watch like the little drama that goes on and just see what comes out of it for these people. But I will be honest, like when the show dropped, like there was not a lot of buzz around the show. I didn't see a lot of people talking about it. You know, I didn't really see much of the cast, if any, really, besides maybe James coming onto ours, like going on podcasts, talking about their experience on the show, anything like that. So it doesn't really shock me, but I would have thought maybe like one more go-around. But, you know, I don't know. It's just kind of like what's going on over there? And as we know, her unwell beverage drink line, like that's no longer gonna be a thing. That's extinct. So it just like really begs the question, what's going on over there? Is she just slapping her name on anything that comes across her desk? Is it, you know, like you have Your name is so well known, you know? You have all the opportunity, like you have all this money. You have you're married to Matt Kaplan, producer, whatever. You have resources. So let's slow down maybe just a little bit and focus on quality, not quantity. Like you don't have to slap your name on anything. Do I think this is gonna hurt her by any means that her drink line is no longer gonna be a thing and then love overboard is overboard is canceled after season one? No, of course not. Like she has a whole Other empire of just other things going on. But I just don't think you need to necessarily put out so much, you know? Like just maybe scale it back, kind of review, like, okay, what seems to be of quality and then focus on that, like really put your energy towards that. Because I mean, I have to double check actually now that I'm talking about it, because does anybody remember? Because I never tuned in. But I don't ever hear about it anymore. And I feel like I saw this maybe on a Reddit thread somewhere. So I could totally be making it up. Sue me, okay? I could totally be making it up. But do you guys remember when she dropped this whole thing? It was like a Unwell station on Sirius XM. And it was gonna be basically like the millennial station. So your getting ready road trip type of vibe, like pregame party. Basically, like the soundtrack of all these amazing songs that we grew up and know and love and are obsessed with and probably have forgotten about. There was a series or a series XM channel just like dedicated to that. Okay, so I have not heard of that since. I haven't listened to it, I never dabbled, I've never entertained it, but I feel like I saw somewhere that that no longer exists now, too. So All these things are failing. And let's be honest, I don't think there's gonna be a season two of Let's Marry Harry. And there's not very many podcasts that are successful aside from hers under her Unwell Network. I mean, you could beg to argue that maybe Harry Jowsey's is. But I mean like the other ones, like I never hear of them. She may announce like, this person's coming to Unwell, like this is gonna be the new show, whatever. And then it's just like crickets. Like I never hear of the show. I don't know who the people are. There is no promotion. So it's just kind of like, why are we dabbling so much? Like, why are we trying so hard? Why are we doing too many things? Like, there's a difference between being a businesswoman, a go-getter, and you know, really having like you want to like build an empire, whatever. But if consistently like things are just falling and crumbling and failing. And here's the thing, you know, I'm sure there's plenty of people that have tried to build things and, you know, they don't always succeed. Like that, that is normal, obviously. Like, let's not just Stay on that, but I feel like it's just really being highlighted here because there's just been one, she's already had her name in the media with drama and all of that. And then on top of that, there's been multiple things that are being pulled from the shelves or being pulled from air. So it's just kind of all happening at once. So I feel like it's really having a magnifying glass right on her in her situation. So it's really easy to kind of just be like, What is going on with you, girlfriend? Like, Figure it out. Also, too, you're so pregnant, like you're about to give birth. Just relax a little bit. Like it's gonna be okay. And I mean, I don't know. I I maybe it's just easy whenever you have so much money to be more mindless and just be like, sure, like I'll just slap my name on it, like no big deal. But you would just think too, like with how much, you know, I feel like she presents herself as being a businesswoman and successful at that and just like really wanting to just Embody being just like a boss babe, whatever. I hate that I said that term, but essentially that's what her, I feel like MO is. You would think she would just play a little bit smarter in what she's trying to do. And she's doing so many things of these series, like these books, turning them into si like, I don't know. Like there's just so many things that she's in. And who knows, maybe she's in so many things that it's just kind of like. I'm just gonna put all of my eggs in all of these different baskets. So who really cares if a couple of them fail? Because at least they have all these other ones. But I don't know. I don't know. It's just to me, I'm like, that is crazy. Like all of these things we're getting notified that are no longer gonna be a thing under the Unwell Network. And I just wonder what she thinks about it. We'll never know because she'll never talk about it. But I'm sure. you know, it's probably no sweat off her back. she's probably not even thinking twice about it. It's just like, okay, cool. On to the next thing, which whatever, like that's amazing that that's the type of you know, level that you're at that it's not even gonna hurt you. And that could be another fault of that. It's like no matter what I do, it doesn't matter. It's not necessarily going to hurt me, whatever I put my money or name on because I have so many other things and like people are gonna always dabble at least for a little bit. So it's like if that doesn't work, that's fine. Move on to the next thing. I also wonder what Gabby Wendy thinks because she was the host of Love Overboard, which I feel like that got a lot of mixed reviews in itself. I had never watched Gabby on The Bachelor, Bachelorette, but I did see her on Traders and I loved her on Traders. I thought she was hilarious. Now I don't think if you don't get the shtick of her, like if you don't get her humor Yeah, she's probably a little annoying, maybe to you, or maybe you're just like, I don't understand this woman. Like, why is she talking like that? What is she saying? Does she think she's funny? It's her whole shtick. And you have to be with it. You know, if you know, you know. And if you don't, then you're gonna be way left behind. But I wonder what her take is on that. Because she was the host. I thought she was so fun as the host. I thought she was perfect for like this type of show too, because again, it just doesn't seem very serious. You know, it's just like this cheeky dating fun. Type of show. Very, very MTV like. You know what I mean? Think of back in those old days of Next and Room Raiders. Like that's what it was giving. but I don't know. I don't know. Are you sad about it? Did you guys even watch the show? Have you even heard of the name? Because when I brought it up to some of my friends and they didn't even know what I was talking about, I was gagged. I was like, wait, what do you mean you've never heard of the show and you're asking me if it's even premiered? Because yes, yes, it has. It It's been out for quite some time. But I don't know. I don't know. I think maybe she just needs to stick to what she knows, which is podcasting. And I I don't know. Maybe, maybe there could be a world in which she puts more energy into the podcast people that she's signing on under her net well under her network so she can help them grow, help them be more successful, have us recognize their names and their podcast and all that. But yeah. But Alex Cooper News adjacent, Sophia Franklin, got married finally. I'm super excited for her. I don't like have much to report on it because I feel like now she's in like her lover wife era, you know, and sh once she found this man, it was very clear that it was very different for her because she wasn't regularly making podcasts. you know, she would kind of just be like in and out. But I mean this man lives in Europe. So she's having to go from one country to another. But you can just tell like she's just really soft. I don't know. She's made a change and I'm just really happy for her. and we got to see his face. Cause that was the huge mystery to me because she kept this man a secret. Like his identity was in the freaking vault. You know, I I had no idea who it was. So it was really exciting to see her wedding pictures and I thought she looked beautiful. and I feel like she's probably really happy with where she's at. I mean, obviously we know she got screwed over in the call her daddy deal, like breaking up with Barstool. But I mean, I think after everything she's been through, like she's probably loving the era that she's at and kind of just being like, I have my thing, but it's not my everything, you know? Like, not just throwing her name on everything that c comes across her desk. And she seems really happy. So absolutely stunning. Congrats, Sophia. Okay. Other news, Jax and Brittany, w every time, like every day, there's almost a new something going on with these two. I, you know, I feel like it keeps getting darker and darker and darker between what went on in their marriage, and you know, once they started talking about divorce, just the things that were going on. We all know Jax Taylor is diabolical. He's very insidious. He's very just mmm, I don't mm, just a lot of things. What's unfortunate is growing up watching Vanderpump, I shouldn't even say growing up because I was literally in college, I think, when it came out, but just like watching him on Vanderpump, like there's no question, like all things aside, like we you can't argue the simple fact of that this man was great reality TV. And the things he said was just so ridiculous that, you know, before we got to really see like his violent side or like angry side, like he was so ridiculous that it was comical, you know, kind of similar to Tom Sandoval. Just like the whole the that guy trio, Sandoval, Schwartz, Jax Taylor, like they were hilarious because they just were so into themselves and the things that they said was just very comical and whatever and You know, as the seasons like went on and time went on, like, yeah, you would see Jax get angry at situations. I never really thought that it would actually be anything physical. I know that there's just like a lot of things going back and forth. Like they're trying they're working through their whole divorce and like now there's restraining orders and things like that. And then Britney comes out saying that Jax claimed he wanted to gut her like a fish. What That is some crazy language. That is some crazy language. Like in no circumstances is that okay. Especially, you know, you're the father to our child. So absolutely not like you're gonna be around Cruz. And that it's just interesting because it's like when you look back, like when we moved from Vanderpump to the Valley, when you look back at certain scenes, Cruz never seemed excited to see his dad. Never was like, my gosh, yay, dad's here, dad's home. You know, he was always kind of running to Brittany. didn't really seem just like open to him. So I feel like that says a lot. But yeah, I mean, the let's see, it's September 17th, I think is whenever they officially go to trial. Cause August 27th, Brittany filed for a domestic violence restraining order against him. And that temporary protection was granted. But then September first, he throws one right back at her and he files his own restraining order against Britney and claims that she's harassing him and intentionally interfering with his career and income. Wants her to stay 100 yards away and stop contacting his business opportunities. So basically, he's blaming Britney for the fact that he can't get any other business opportunities because all of this that's going on, you know, because this day and age. People or businesses at least, you know, they really look into your care well, I say they really look into it, but then there's always things that happen and then later it's like, my gosh, like this person made this post. How did we give them this platform? Whatever, not even gonna go down that route. But basically, you know, when it's at least brought to their attention, I'm sure that they're paying way closer attention and it's no secret that all of this stuff is going on between Britney and Jax. So He's claiming that, you know, she's hindering like all of his business opportunities that is presented to him. And I called BS on that. I think companies are very well aware, very informed. I mean, apparently like he's gotta have something to be able to prove that he's not getting business opportunities. But is that because of Britney? Or is it just because Of the stuff you've done to Britney. You know what I mean? Like, is that Britney's fault? Like classic, like you're gonna blame Britney for not having all these opportunities and losing money and whatever people like having this view on you when you were the one that did that those actions. You know what I mean? So it's like, is that her fault or is she just telling the truth? Is she just spitting facts? You know what I mean? Like it doesn't, it's not clicking and it's like. just classic, like, this is your fault. It's like you made me do this. No, Jax, like you you did that. So don't try to say like it's Brittany. So it's kind of comical that he's saying he needs a restraining order against her. I'm like, what are we talking about? and of course, you know, like the whole which I don't think I touched on this on the pod. So please forgive me because you know there's always so many things. But Jax, you know, he's dating Lisa, who was formerly both of their like PR manager, whatever, their publicist for both Jax and Britney. And now Jax is dating Lisa, which is hilarious. But you know, like she's gotta be trying to work all the angles and she's gotta be in his ear telling him, like, we need to work this angle to help you. You know, it's like she knows the tricks of the trade. I mean, Britney's called her a snake, like she's worked with her. So I'm sure she probably knows more than anyone. Like, what tricks? I mean, think about it. Like, Britney's had to protect. Jack's and hers marriage, like for so many years, and obviously like working with the publicist, whatever, like that's their job is to protect your image for as like much as they possibly can. So it's like you're dating this PR person, like they're gonna be able to know how to navigate and twist whatever they need to for the media to put you in as good of a light as possible. Granted, when you're a terrible person, like you that can only go so far. but I don't know. I don't know. And apparently now like Lori's been around Cruise, which she already has. And also too, did I say Lisa? I don't know. I can't I can't even remember if I said dating Lisa. So please I I might have said Lisa. I'm not sure. But her name's Lori. If I said Lisa, I don't know what maybe I was probably thinking of Lisa Vanderpump. But anyways, Lori's already been around Cruz and like before all of that, but now Britney's like upset that Jax is bringing her around. Jax is like, well, does it really make a diff which I you know, I kind of could see that. and I feel like Cruz is still just like really young for him to even like understand, like, a dating situation. But yeah, so it's just kind of interesting their situation. I'm like, when is this thing gonna end? When is this thing gonna end for you two? Because if I was Britney, like I would be exhausted. I would be so tired of dealing with this still. I'm real like the whole restraining order situation, like why was that not already in place? You know, I don't know, like it th this to me, I'm like, we need to speed this up. But I get it, you know, when there's a kid involved, you have house, finances, all that stuff. Takes so much longer, but I just feel like things would be amplified if it's like you have concrete evidence that this man was emotionally abusing you. what like through chairs at you? Like, there's just so many things that I feel like she has claimed and has evidence on. So I don't know. But this is true Jax Taylor form and fashion to be like, no, Brittany, this is your fault that I don't have all these brand deals. I can't go on special forces. I can't do this and I can't do that. It's your fault. Please, please. That's exhausting. But It's nice to know that he's still the same Jax Taylor. And when I say nice, I mean that very sarcastically. But an adjacent news to that as well, we find out that Danny and Nia are not returning to the Valley. Do they need to make that announcement? I'm not sure because I don't even know if there's gonna be another season of the Valley. Like I really now, especially with those two being gone, I don't know what else the storyline would even be centered around because they basically were the story for the past two seasons. But yeah, so They went ahead and they told us, you know, they made the cliche statement of, we just want peace and love for our family. You know, we're gonna put our family first. Like this is just not meant for us. We're stepping away from the Yeah. Okay. We've heard that all before. Like, yeah, the classic, you know, statement, whatever. And is this shocking to literally anybody? No. There's no way it's shocking to you. If it's shocking to you, please let me know. And I want to know why it's shocking to you because it's not shocking to me whatsoever. Now they can just carry whatever dark energy is going on within their marriage. Now they just don't have to answer to anybody about it because there's gonna be no cameras around. There's gonna be nobody to call them out on anything. So it's she should have said, or at least I don't know, like who was really making the statement because you know it was from the Bunkos. But or not Bunkes, Dunko. What's their last bunko, dunzo? The heck The Buko's. Yeah, I because I purposely messed up their last name. I was like, my gosh, I don't even know it anymore. But Yeah, so they make like this joint statement, whatever. But to me, what I read was we're tired of people calling us out or holding us to the fire on situations in our marriage, and we don't want to have to address it. We don't want anything to do with it. So we're gonna take a step back so that way we can just continue all of this in private. And honestly, okay, because you want to know something like They weren't giving us really anything. Like, still everybody was addressing their concerns with Nia, and Nia was not taking the bait. So, like, good for her, you know what I mean? Like, but that's like her pageant side coming out. That's her buttoning up her answers and her responses and being very calm. So she wasn't giving us anything anyway. So it's not like we're really even losing much. You know, we weren't cracking down the case of. what's going on really behind their marriage. It's like we were able to peek through a little bit, but we there wasn't anything that was gonna be solved. Like there was no come to Jesus moment. There was nothing where Nia was like, Hey, can I just like talk to you, like have a one-on-one with one of the girls and just like spill her guts out and be like, this is really what's been going on. It's been weighing off. You know, like there was none of that happening and I did not foresee it to ever happen. So she did us a favor as viewers. Good riddance, like I don't know. They were super like it was just really boring. And so again, I'm like, is did they even have to make that announcement? Because is there even gonna be another season of the valley? I don't know. And let's just say there is. Okay. Let's just say that there is. what is it gonna like what what are we gonna talk about? Is are they gonna bring in somebody new? Is this Sheena and Brock's opportunity for them to show up on the show to be cast members? Is this that time for them? Who knows? Maybe Sheena worked up a deal with Nia and was like, hey, like if you boot scootin' boogie, like, so me and Brock couldn't get on. That would be great. That would be great because we know that there's some drama going on with Sheena and La. So, you know, who knows? Like that actually could be a story arc I'd get into. Because that's really kind of going back to OG Vanderpump days. And like I I can't say I wouldn't tune in because I'd be a liar. I'd be an absolute liar if I I said like I wasn't gonna even entertain it. So you know what? Actually, now that I'm saying this out loud, I think that's a great idea. Bravo, Andy. If you're listening, go ahead. Just do one more season of the valley. Okay. Let's just try for one more time. N Nia and Danny, get them out of there. Put Sheena and Brock in. We're subbing them in. And I wanna see all that. I wanna see how that goes. I wanna see how that plays out. Why not? You know what I mean? Like, why not? Heck. Do we just throw in Sandoval too? Like, just why not? Why not? Yeah. It it it'll be interesting. So I guess we'll have to stay tuned for that. All right. Now for the meat of the episode. The Love Island season eight reunion. Girlfriends, boyfriends. I don't know. Any anybody that's listening to this? They're okay. First How I always talk about reunions, okay? This is just like my staple. But and I'm gonna say it again. I'm gonna say it again. I'm gonna say it every single time there is a reunion that I need to debrief. Let's start moving forward, just the standard there being multiple parts of reunions, okay? Because there are so many people, there's so many players, chess pieces, so many storylines, so many adjacent storylines, substories, whatever. That need to be addressed. And I just feel like we just don't get enough time to really dissect and ask all the questions and really poke and prod, honestly. so I feel like we need to normalize just going ahead and at least at the bare minimum doing a two-parter. And if it's a two-part of a two-hour reunion, perfect. I mean, thank God this wasn't just like a normal standard one-hour long reunion episode. It was quite lengthy. But I still felt like We barely scratch the surface on things. And I understand too. I guess there comes to a point where it's like you're kind of just beating a dead horse, like there's not really anything going on, but you know, and you have to have to move on from a storyline. But I don't know. I just feel like some things we like brushed over a little bit too quickly and we didn't really like hone in on them. We didn't make them feel like they were in the pressure cooker to answer questions. Because here's my next thing too. If you're gonna go on a reality show, okay. You're going to put yourself out there. And here's the thing, it may be a little bit different from like influencer-esque, whatever, because people talk about like influencers, TikTokers, whatever, people that like share their lives online. And then something may happen and it's like they feel like they need to address it. And some people in the comments are like, you just because like you don't have to explain anything to us. Like, don't explain. I could I could maybe see that, okay? But if you are signing up for reality TV, like your life, your situations, and you need to finish it out with a reunion. I just feel like as your job, like this is your job, right? Like this is what you signed up to do. You need to answer to something. And like I'm so tired of just hearing these PR answers or politically correct answers or just like playing it safe type of answers that give us absolutely nothing, like no insight to whatever, because like what do you mean, Harmita, Corbin? That you it just didn't work. Like something happened. We just realized like things didn't align with better as fri something, something happened. Like, what was that? What was that? What was the moment? What was the pivotal moment that you were like, okay, this isn't gonna work. We're just friends. Tell us that. Break it down for us. Because we watched you guys get together on the show, all the drama of you guys getting together and you guys thought you were perfect for each other because you guys were both really good looking and like love to work out. So you're just like. This just must mean we were meant for each other outside of the villa. But what happened outside the villa that made you realize, there's actually more that I care about other than you look good and you work out. I want to know what it is. Cause you don't just like wake up one day and it's like, we're actually just friends. We're just buddy buddy. You know what I mean? Something had to have happened. And I just wish that people would just be more forthcoming because and I get it. Maybe it's embarrassing. Maybe whatever. But you know what? If anything, it's like, all right, you guys could just you say your friends, whatever. It's like, let's tag team. Like, let's just be like, hey, this was the situation. Like I was just, I don't know. Like I just, I always wanted to sleep on the left side of the bed, but he's a left side, and we just could never f you know, something stupid. Like, I don't know, like literally something, because it's just really boring to hear that type of answer. But anyways, I'm kind of going off track. But those were just like my main overall thoughts of just like. reunions in general. It's like, let's make it longer. Let's put them more in the pressure cooker. And I just feel like you need to give answers. You can't just give like a sugar-coated, nice corporate email type of answer to make everybody to like just keep it smooth. Because what did you think this was, you know? anyways, all right. So first Cause I'm not gonna go through every single c like that's just not what's gonna happen on this reunion recap. So if you're looking for that, I apologize. I'm just really gonna talk about like what stood out to me and like what I was just like WTF or what annoyed me or like huh? All right, so I'm gonna talk about Kayla. Or not Kayla, sorry, Kayla. this is scary for me because she was definitely one of my favorites, you know. On the show. Okay. I really loved Kata, Kenzie, and TT, honestly. And immediately the energy I was getting from Kata was like, do I really have to be here? Like she just seemed so put out from the very beginning. Like, I don't know what was going on with her attitude, but it was so irritating. I was like, my God, like, are you okay? Like, what's wrong? Like, she just automatically seemed Such on the defense mode with everything. And then, you know, further on is like the reunion is going on, like you can just see her slouching down more in her seat. And trust me, like I get the slouching down because I feel like I even do that on this podcast. Like I just slowly start sinking into my seat. But hers, just with like her face that she had, like just this stank look on her face. It was like, there's so much attitude just seeping from your pores. What's wrong? What's the matter with you? You know? so she was just already walking in, like already irritated, which already irritated me. And I don't know if it was just because like she got an inflated sense of how beloved she was from the audience because yeah, like people were loving her, people were hyping her up. And I feel like now after the reunion, like all the discourses is like, all right, yeah, she really is a mean girl. Because, you know, we saw there was like this thing that resurfaced from when she was in high school or whatever, getting into a fight with some like chick. People were trying to like, she's a mean like whatever. And I don't really feel like it necessarily showed that on the show, which is why I feel like she was so well liked by the audience. But just post show and then the reunion, now everybody's like, wait a minute, you know, they're like taking the blinders off a little bit. And unfortunately I feel like I fell victim to that as well. But yeah, so it's like, I don't know if she just was like has this huge ego. So she was like, ooh, like I'm just gonna eat everybody up. I'm gonna come in here, maybe having feeling like iconic with just giving like attitude or just like saying things that will make good clip bites or whatever, sound bites. I don't know. But I couldn't handle it. Like I really, I truly like it was really irritating me. And I just don't know if she really knew the way that she was coming across. So like when Andy and Ariana are bringing up to her, like, all right, what's going on with you and Zach? Like how's it going? And you could just tell like she was just waiting for that type of question and basically still told us that they were still in a situationship. And I guess I can't say too much now because they are officially living together. So I guess boyfriend, girlfriend, like they're living together. But like let's just put it into perspective of the reunion, okay? So when the reunion's filmed, they aren't together. I'm like, dude, that like what are we doing? Like it's already been like over a month, I think, since the re or the finale. Sure, you know, she's like sitting here, she's like, I just, you know, we don't know what we're gonna be like at restaurants. Like, we don't know this and that and outside. But you're exclusive and it's like you're still entertaining each other. Like you've sure you've only spent so much time because he had to be out of the country, whatever, like working on his visa, this, that, in the third, fifth, whatever. It's just like, okay, like that's just I don't know. It's embarrassing to hear, I feel like. And I I know she probably felt really embarrassed to answer that, but you know, she's making it make sense in her mind. It's like, yeah, no, like you know, we still haven't been able to fully explore like what we would be like outside of the house so we don't want to put a label on it, but we're exclusive. It's like at that point, just go ahead and just slap the label on it because now you look silly. Now you look silly. Like it made sense, I guess, in the villa, but like you're still claiming to see like all this time later, whatever, and like there's still no label on it. I don't know. It was just kind of crazy to me. But you know, she just was very defensive and all of that. And of course, you know, they bring up the whole relationship of Zach and Bryce and how flirty they are. And it's like just you could just see like she couldn't laugh at it or anything like that. Like there just was a lot of defensiveness like coming from her side of the couch. And I don't know. I don't know. I mean, at least for her, like from what I'm understanding now, they are boyfriend, girlfriend and living together. So like Good for them. Like, thank God that that's what that ended up being. But just like to come to the reunion with the attitude that you're having and going after other people. And you still have to say at the end of the day, like you're in a situation ship, kind of crazy. And then, just like the random sh like shots she was trying to make towards Jaden and you know, she's sitting here talking about like when Jaden and Caleb, their whole situation and Jaden being confused on, you know, Caleb giving her mixed signals and sh Jayden's talking about how like she had slept with him, whatever. And then Kate's coming in here like, well, it takes two, it takes two. Like you can't blame him. Thank God someone clocked her on that and T T being like, That's funny. Like you're one to talk. Because it's true. Like You let this man, like you hooked up with Zach. And then right after that, he's talking about so like I can still explore, right? Like making a joke right in front of your face. And you're still sitting at this couch on the reunion, not in a full on relationship. So it's like it's silly. And like you're so confused at what TT's talking about. You're like, what is she even talking about? Don't act stupid. Like you know exactly what she meant, and you just had no leg to stand on. And and then too, you want to be rude to Shay and all that. Like whenever he was like talking about liking comments about, you know, people saying like Kata fumbled or like you were the pr yeah, he's allowed to like like things that are positive about himself. Why not? Like, why are you so closely looking at the things that he's liking? Like it wasn't necessarily A diss on Zach. It was just like positive things about him. Like, I just thought that that was crazy. And like she was being so rude and she was like laughing at the fact that people were even entertaining the idea that she had an interest in him. Meanwhile, did we all forget in the villa, like she was talking about, my gosh, he's like a man. You know what I mean? I'm like, dude, you're so hypocritical. And like the energy that you're giving was just mean and nasty. And it just was like. this is not doing you any favors! you know, and she also kind of like, I mean, she didn't I I don't think she like said too much necessarily to Kenzie about the whole her like exploring situation really. But I mean, I'll get more into that. But I mean, I don't know. I don't know. It's just and I mean, obviously I'm gonna get into Melanie and Sincere, but like just a little c like side note, sidebar. It's just really comical to me that the people that are giving Kenzie so much just hatred, animosity, shit for her exploring and doing what she was supposed to be doing in the villa. I'm sorry. It's not lost on me that she's the only one coming out of the I shouldn't say only one, but out of like the core four like besides Trinity and Bryce, I keep having to make disclaimers, dang it. But it's not beyond me that, you know, Kenzie was the one out here exploring, seeing her connections, like seeing who she vibed with out the most. Who's the one out here on the couch in a really happy relationship and they seem super happy? Like they are labeled boyfriend, girlfriend. You can see it. She's glowing. She's super happy. And the ones that would not even entertain the idea of exploring or trying to see other people or not really like putting their foot down and standing on business and being like, no, I won't be treated like that by a man. You're not in the relationship. You're still in this situation ship, or you're dating, or you're seeing what's gonna what it's gonna look like. And who's the ones that are looking very like angry and put out and bitter? You, you, Cada and Melanie. I'm talking about you two. So I just thought that that was interesting. I was like, huh. And they're dogging on Kenzie for exploring, but yet she found her man. She found her man, and it is labeled her man, boyfriend, man in a relationship. She's all giggly. Giddy. I don't know. I'm just saying that was just an observation. It's not me hating. It's just an observation. But yeah, it's just, I don't know. I just did not like the energy Kata was giving. And then she was giving Ariana attitude. And I was like, wow, that is really bold. That is very bold. I don't know. I don't know. It just reminded me very much like little sister vibes, like. In high school, that is just feels like they can be rude to whoever, anybody that's in authority, or like anybody that comes and like says a differing opinion or whatever didn't like it, so she had to be rude. all right, so Melanie, good old Melanie. Okay. Here's the thing. Anybody else notice that this chick Had to address beef with almost every single person sitting in that room. And it's just like it's not lost on me. I'm like, this person that you chose to be with, sincere, did you so dirty on so many levels. Like, sure, yeah, there's other people involved in that whole mess, but like, who, like, you should be looking at the man sitting next to you. You know what I mean? Said you're pointing fingers at literally everybody else. You have something to say about everybody else. You want to hold everybody else to the fire, except for the one person who really needs to be held to the fire. Like he's the one that has the most explaining to do. This man pretty much got to coast the entire reunion episode. And to me, I was thinking he was the one that had the most explaining to do. And meanwhile, like Melanie is going after every single person. And again, screaming, my man, my man, my man, and like coming to his defense. But at the same breath, she's telling Andy that she does not trust this man. They're building trust. They're still seeing the outside world. Like she's single. But like, then why are you mad at everybody else? Why are you mad at everybody else? To me, I would be like, look, obviously, we like had issues. I know it's centered. Like, let's think about this. If I'm having issues with so many people in the house. Who is it centered on around? Sincere. Like this dude's probably the problem. Bring him up in every single situation. Like he just really didn't have much to say. Like nobody made him have to speak to really much. I mean, he gave cliche answers like, yeah, I'm sorry. Like I'm working on that. Like I'm growing. And like, yada, yada, yada. I really see like you're from your side, like how that could be looked like that. But like, no, you know what I mean? And, you know. Melanie, what whatever her issue was with Kenzie was so weird to me. Like I'm still confused by this. Like I don't understand what the issue was to for there to even be beef. I know she was upset about Kenzie making comments on live saying it's the Melanie show. But I mean, let's be honest, it is the Melanie show. It was the Melanie show. Just looking at this reunion, Melanie was constantly having to speak. And here's the thing, I'm not saying that she shouldn't defend herself, she shouldn't address situations that she's in, but like she wouldn't have to speak so much if she wasn't involved in so much drama with everybody. Like that's what I'm trying to say here. It's like I I want people to defend themselves. I want them to speak on things. I want them to be like, well, this, this, and that, that, that. Yeah. But like, let's think about it here. You had to speak so much because you were involved so much, or like the things that people were. All worried about and all up in arms about just seems so petty to me. I'm like, okay, I'm sorry. We're addressing drama centered around things of, I saw you like a comment on TikTok, Instagram, like whatever it was. I don't even know. Or I saw you like something, or like, you're saying it's the Melanie shit. Like, that's what we're worried about. That's what we're upset about. Like, that's what we are having beef with, yet the dude you picked. next to you did you so dirty on national television. It's crazy. It's crazy. And here's the thing: it's like Kenzie to me is so unapologetically like herself. And like you could see like she was truly getting very emotional about the whole Melanie situation. Like she thought that they were a lot closer and they were a lot better friends. So she was just as confused as to why that there were issues within their friendship. And you could just see like she's like visibly getting hurt. And then it was almost like Melanie was Quick to like, I can't look like the villain in this situation. I see she's very upset. So like I'm just gonna come and it's not that deep, babe. It's not that deep. You can't be like, it's not that deep. If it wasn't that deep, then why was there an issue? You know what I mean? Like you can't be like, it's not that deep, babe. Like, don't get all upset. Don't cry. But yet I I've been mad at you for this long. So is it that deep or is it not that deep? You can't just like switch up that quickly like that. So I just felt really bad for Kenzie because you could just see that she was like just as confused as to what went wrong in their friendship. She didn't feel like she was really in being some type of way to Melanie for it to warrant the reaction that Melanie was giving to her. And then for Melanie to just brush it over as soon as it looked like Kenzie was really upset. I don't know. I was just like, I am getting whiplash. I would be so confused if I was Kenzie. Be okay, so wait, if it wasn't that deep, then why are why did we have these issues then? Like, why were you saying I wasn't your best friend? Why were you ignoring me? Why were you you know what I mean? Like, it just doesn't make any sense. so I just felt like I felt like it was really crazy. But and it it's just interesting too, because it's like, I feel like Melanie is very emotionally intelligent and she can like analyze things. And I feel like she is good at being able to talk, but for whatever reason, when it comes to sincere, I feel like she's just so blind to it all. It's like she doesn't want to hear it from anybody. you know, just let her make her mistake, which okay, whatever. But I don't know. And then it was just funny to me, like, For Amora, like when she was getting all upset at her because she was saying that she was like, Well, I would never be in the situation like Melanie was in. She's like, Well, that's weird. Why did you then come for sincere? It's like, Melanie, we know what she's talking about. We know she's referencing, like, I would never be in a situation where this man is playing in my face multiple times, screwing me over and making me look like an idiot over and over and over and over and over, and still taking him back. That's what she's referring to. She's not necessarily saying specifically like, just sincere in general. Like she's talking about the way Sincere moves. so I just thought that that was really silly. And then another thing I thought was super silly is everybody comparing Kenzie to Sincere. Like these two are not anywhere close to the same. I was just like, what are we talking about? What are we talking about? And then It's clearly okay for Sincere to do it and not Kenzie. Why is that? Like if that's this if that's what we're gonna call it as, why was it okay for Sincere to behave that way? Obviously, not okay because people did get upset, but I just don't see the parallel here because if we're gonna break it down, sure, Kenzie was exploring. She was maybe saying, like, and that's and this could be two things could be true. It's like she could really like somebody, whatever, you know. Maybe saying some similar things, but to her point, because she brought this up, she was like, Yeah, I wanna know about your family. I wanna say, like, yeah, I want you to meet my family because that's where I'm gonna really know. Like, if it would work, like maybe she could see like multiple people, like she'd be like, I would love to see the dynamic and how they work with my family, versus sincere being like calling everybody beloved. Like, what are we talking about? I don't know. The fact that they can compare the two is just crazy. And so this leads me to believe I'm like, All right, so then what's the point of Love Island then? Because, you know, I've talked about this where I was like, I was really confused at first, not realizing like the premise is to explore and see who you connect with or like having your different connections. Like that's the whole premise of it. So if people are getting mad at people for exploring, you know, then I'm like, where where does this show go from here? I feel like this sets a really bad tone for people moving forward. It's like they're gonna find somebody. Immediately, and then they're not even gonna wanna try to jump ship or whatever, or else they're gonna get ostracized or they're gonna get backlash from the people in the villa, even though that's what they're supposed to do. And again, I just want to say, I just wanna reiterate, I wanna drive this point home. It's not lost on me that Kenzie explored, did what she was supposed to, dabbled in multiple men, found the man that made her happy. And she was the one leaving with a boyfriend, girlfriend, you know, type of title. And they're in a happy relationship and they look super cute together. Like she's sitting here on this couch saying that she's in love. I I'm just saying. I'm just saying. You know? And then also, too, we could talk about KC and TT. He explored, he took that chance. He got ostracized for it. He got absolutely annihilated for it. And him and T T are still going strong. Do you know, do you see what I'm saying here? It's like people like they come into that, it's like their first connection, and then they feel like they need to stay with that person. I feel like Bryce and Trinity are an anomaly because they I don't have any notes on them aside from they're super cute and I'm happy for them. Like they look like they're doing amazing and they both stand strong for each other. But there was never really a point two at the same time that they looked like either one of them there were any cracks to the foundation. All the other ones, there were cracks in the foundation. And they still chose to like really stick by that and they're still kind of in a limbo phase. Do you see what I mean? So It's just really interesting to me. I'm just like, all right, all right. So is that gonna change the formula moving forward? I don't know. If there's any potential Love Islanders that are gonna be on season nine that are listening and watching to this, don't follow that formula. Okay. Unless you're an anomaly like Bryson Trinity, where there's no cracks in the foundation. Okay, whatever. Like, I'll let that go. But be a Kinsey, be a Casey, be a TT, like take that chance. Like if you If there is another connection, like absolutely, and honestly, like, okay, Corbin, Cor Corbin, Corbin and Parmita, they didn't work out. Shocker. No one's shocked. But thank goodness that he behaved the way that he did because Kenzie was like, she saw one wrong move and she was like, nope, I'm out. I'm out. So whether she was gonna find somebody else or not, she immediately was like, I'm not gonna stand for that. Absolutely not. So they definitely need to implement like when there's the cost of more, whatever. they need to make those live feeds like they need to make that be a recurring thing because we need to see who is gonna stand ten toes down on being treated a certain way and who's gonna tolerate it or and all that. So to me, like Casey, Kenzie, like they did what they needed to do. And yeah, and again, like I said, they're still in their relationships on those relationships that they had to take a chance on. Had to take a chance on getting hate for, all that. So I'm happy for them. I do want to say really quick, like Anaya and Carl, I'm still like I wasn't fully convinced. Did anybody else seem a little uneasy by like hands down, I feel like Carl is way more into Anaya than Anaya is into Carl. And that's not a bad thing. I don't think that's a bad thing. I always, you know, like I'm not shaming that by any means, but it's almost like a little bit too extreme. Like, I just don't know, like, I wasn't necessarily really feeling. That Anaya was really in it, you know. I know that they're distance and like they say that their families are super close, which I think that's absolutely amazing. Like, good for them. But something about the dynamic, I just wasn't fully convinced. You know what I mean? I think it was really cute though when Carl got all shy and he was like blushing when Ariana and Andy were bringing up, like, well, can you handle that? But I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if Anaya was just like nervous or whatever. Or maybe, maybe he just brings out the calmness in her. Do you know what I mean? But I don't know. I'm curious to know what you guys think about that. Cause I just wasn't fully convinced that Anaya was like still like really into it or interested. but I mean, obviously, like some time has passed and clearly like there's still. But maybe she was just doing that until the reunion. I don't know. Only time will tell. But I just kind of found it a little bit bizarre. I was like, I'm just like not really, you know? But yeah, those were really like my biggest takes. I mean, like I said, I feel like there could have been more. how did I almost forget? Soul, lovely soul. First of all, I don't know who her stylist was, but they need to be fired. Like the Outfit did not do her any justice. And I I I don't know. Like I just was not feeling that. Like that was interesting to me, interesting choice. But aside from that, because I know it's not about that. can I just say, and this may be an unpopular opinion, but I was never really a huge fan of Soul. Like I kind of found her very annoying. I found her very somber. I found her to be very much wanting to be a victim as soon as she walked into that villa. you know. We obviously didn't get to see everything, but like I don't really fully know how much effort she put into like creating relationships and friendships with the girls. but I just felt like she just definitely seems like somebody that wants to be like, like you know, I don't know why. I get that. I get that vibe from her. And it really amplified and almost validated it for me with this whole pie incident. I'm sorry, I have to talk about it. Cause she was so hellbent on that she was being so targeted during that pie challenge. And she was like, I've hardly even been here. You know, she's stamped off. And like we were like, wait a minute, like, was she being targeted? Like how many times did this girl truly get pied? Cause obviously, you everything's all like edited and cut. So it was like, what did we miss? Like we thought maybe she just would have been like just piled on with the pies. And then we got confirmation she was only pied twice. And that pretty much just told me everything that I needed to know. She was convinced that it was more than twice. And then Andy and Ariana confirmed that it was only twice. The whole cast was like girlfriend. It was only twice. Like, what are you talking about? What are you talking about? and it was in fact confirmed twice. And that alone just told me everything that I needed to know. I was like, you cried that hard and you pranced off and pouted and Like a child because you felt targeted. And then you use that to make it seem like these people were just really against you that might like we couldn't go just as an audience, like we could only go off what we saw, but like with your response to it all, made it seem like it was way worse than what it actually was. So, anyways, that's all I really have to say on that. I don't know. I just never got great vibes. I know she has like a huge fan base and she had a huge like team like standing behind her. It's like, go soul, like soul, whatever team, soul. I don't know. I just never, I never got a good vibe from her. And I still stand by that. And yeah, the reunion confirmed that for me, especially with the whole pie incident. So that is the reunion. And yeah, I'm excited that we can wipe our hands clean from that. I'm excited to see kind of just like how everything unfolds with everybody else moving forward. But yeah. That comes to a close for season eight. Unless something groundbreaking happens, I'll report it. But until then, we'll be talking about Love Island again when season nine comes up, which I'm already super excited about. So yeah, Okay, so chic and week of the week. All right. So my chic of the week. Okay. It's not a person. It's a thing. It's a clothing item. It's these rugby polo things. Okay. Like that I'm wearing right now. I'm super into them. I don't know what what's going on in the universe. Like I'm just really grasping for fall, I think. But I've been really into like these striped sweaters, polo rugby looking vibe. You know, it's just super, I don't know, to me, it's super chic. Like it can make it a little casual, but like cute, you know, throw it on over an athletic set. That's what I have right now. Like you can't see the rest of my outfit. But anyways, they're so cute and I've been seeing them everywhere. And I got so many compliments whenever I wore this. So that just leads me to believe that they are chic. And so I in fact co-sign on them. And yeah, you guys need to go get some. They're literally everywhere. So definitely get some polo striped rugby. Sweater, whatever you want to call them. And then my week of the week is Kata is Kata from Love Island. I really didn't want to be like super cliche and give that to her, but like I just, whenever I was trying to figure out who I wanted to put as my week of the week, I kept landing back on her. And it confirmed it when I just keep seeing people just making videos and recapping and then just talking about who the hell is Kata. Like why did she come to the reunion with that energy? I just have no choice. She let it, she just I my hand was forced. I had to make her week of the week. And so I stand by that. I don't change my mind. Unfortunately, I loved her.
