  I am going back to Canada. I'm going to be working from

  there for a couple of weeks. I think it's like 3 weeks total.

  I usually do this in Canadian summer once a year.

  So I'll go back in like July or August and just visit my parents
• 0:46
  and work from their house. And yeah, I'm really excited.

  So I'm leaving on Monday. So there will be no mini scroll

  Monday, Tuesday, but I will be back with too mini scrolls at
• 0:54
  the end of the week and the deep dive of course.

  And also happy August. What the hell.

  I cannot believe it's August. So yes, I will have like a

  regular schedule going on from the middle of next week for the
• 1:06
  rest of the month. And then on August, I think it's
• 1:08
  August 30th, I leave or maybe the 29th Canada time.

  I go to Europe for two weeks for my one of my best friend's
• 1:16
  weddings and we're going to do like a full two week trip.

  I'm really excited and I'm going to take that time off, so please

  OK, let's get into the stories. I have three stories for you

  guys and a couple of these stories are going to be like, we

  get it. But that's kind of the thing

  with mini scroll is, you know, instead of like viral news,

  which is what we used to do, where it would be like, you

  know, we've had a whole week of updates on like one particular
• 1:44
  developing story and therefore you get all the updates at once.

  Mini scroll when things are updating, like every single day,

  things are changing. With certain stories, you're
• 1:53
  just getting the updates as they come basically live.

  So here we go, the first story I'm going to talk about how

  people are thinking that Simone Biles shaded Michaela Skinner

  after the Olympics win. I also think that's how you say

  it. I don't know if it's Michaela.

  I don't want to call her my Kayla.

  It looks like my Kayla to me, but I'm going to call her
• 2:12
  Michaela just in case. OK, so this is a little Olympics
• 2:15
  tea for you guys because I feel like I could not go these next
• 2:20
  couple of weeks and not at least touch on the Olympics and
• 2:23
  gymnastics. I mean, Simone Biles is like the
• 2:26
  most famous, so it makes sense to cover her.

  But also, you know, gymnastics for me at least girls
• 2:30
  gymnastics, women's gymnastics, sorry, not girls women's
• 2:33
  gymnastics, the most interesting.
• 2:36
  So in early July, former USA team gymnast Michaela Skinner
• 2:40
  posted a video shading the work ethic of gymnastics today,
• 2:44
  saying that, quote, talent and the depth just isn't what it
• 2:47
  used to be. And apart from Simone Biles
• 2:50
  quote, a lot of girls don't work as hard and just don't have the
• 2:53
  work ethic. Michaela also said that the
• 2:56
  creation of Safe Sport, which is an organization that helps
• 2:59
  prevent abuse in sport, is part of why gymnasts today aren't
• 3:02
  working hard. She said coaches quote, have to
• 3:06
  be be really careful about what they say, which in some ways is
• 3:09
  really good. But at the same time, to get
• 3:11
  where you need to be in gymnastics, you have to be a
• 3:14
  little aggressive and a little intense.
• 3:16
  So this was obviously met with a lot of backlash.
• 3:19
  People are like, that is such an archaic and toxic way of
• 3:24
  coaching sports. It obviously led to a ton of
• 3:27
  abuse. We know what happened with the
• 3:28
  women's gymnastics team and it was a super big shade to gymnast
• 3:32
  competing everywhere, whether it's Olympics or, you know,
• 3:36
  college gymnastics, like whatever, basically saying no,
• 3:38
  what it's it's giving Kim when she was like, nobody wants to
• 3:42
  work these days. So, yeah, there was a lot of
• 3:46
  backlash, like I said. And Simone Biles at the time
• 3:48
  posted on threads that, quote, not everyone needs a mic and a
• 3:51
  platform. So amid the backlash, Michaela
• 3:54
  apologized and said her comments were misunderstood.
• 3:57
  Quote, I am coming to terms that I have not fully dealt with the
• 4:00
  emotional and verbal abuse I endured, she said in relation to
• 4:04
  her gymnastics career. So that all happened and then
• 4:08
  now people believe that Simone has done a little dig at
• 4:11
  Michaela. So we all know that USA brought
• 4:13
  home the gold at Paris Olympics. And in Simone's Instagram post
• 4:17
  about their win, she wrote. Lack of talent, lazy Olympic
• 4:21
  champions. And then she also posted because
• 4:25
  people were talking about the Michaela stuff.

  She also posted on X Oop, I've been blocked, presumably about
• 4:31
  Michaela. I mean, honestly, good for her.
• 4:33
  I love that she's standing up for her teammates, for fellow
• 4:36
  gymnasts, because I know Michaela specifically was like
• 4:38
  aside from Simone Biles, just so shit.
• 4:41
  So I love that for her. OK, the next story that I have,

  so I have another Mr. Beast update.

  First of all, Mr. Beast, his team sent a cease and desist.
• 4:51
  This is not the story, but he sent a cease and desist to the
• 4:54
  creator Dawson, who made that video that I talked about
• 4:57
  yesterday. The Mr. Beast is a fraud video
• 4:59
  and we know that because Dawson posted a screenshot of it on his
• 5:04
  community tab. So he's not taking this shit
• 5:06
  very seriously. But the story that I have about
• 5:09
  Mr. Beast, like it just keeps piling on.
• 5:12
  So I actually did not. I don't know how I missed the
• 5:15
  story. There's just been so much going
• 5:16
  on with Mr. Beast. OK, so on July 24th, Rosanna
• 5:19
  Pansino, who has been on this, like crusade to take down Mr.
• 5:23
  Beast, she posted a clip from 2017 on X in which Mr. Beast is
• 5:31
  saying some pretty horrific things, some pretty racist
• 5:34
  things. And I think it's led to people
• 5:37
  uncovering other videos from around that time where he said
• 5:40
  like homophobic things and things like that.
• 5:42
  The clip that she posted, Mr. Beast is responding to a viewer
• 5:46
  who commented about selling black people for money.
• 5:50
  And Mr. Beast said, quote, the most I would pay is probably
• 5:53
  $300. And then, yes, like I said, he
• 5:58
  also used homophobic slurs. And in another clip from 2017
• 6:02
  that started circulating, Mr. Beast said that he would sleep
• 6:04
  with Bad Baby, who was 14 years old at the time.

  So now a spokesperson for Jimmy, like Mr. Beast, his real name's
• 6:12
  Jimmy, spoke with The Associated Press.

  They provided a statement on these comments.

  The statement reads when Jimmy was a teenager, he acted like
• 6:22
  many kids and used inappropriate language while trying to be
• 6:25
  funny. Over the years, he has
• 6:27
  repeatedly apologized and has learned that increasing
• 6:30
  influence comes with increased responsibility to be more aware
• 6:33
  and more sensitive to the power of language.
• 6:36
  After making some bad jokes and other mistakes when he was
• 6:38
  younger, as an adult he has focused on engaging with the Mr.
• 6:42
  Beast community to work together on making positive impact around
• 6:45
  the world. So again, just falling back on
• 6:47
  that like Mr. Beast's philanthropic, like Mr. Beast is
• 6:50
  a good guy. I'm I'm really surprised by that
• 6:53
  first sentence. I'm surprised that APR person
• 6:57
  would say he acted like many kids and used inappropriate
• 7:02
  language trying to be funny when he is making jokes about buying
• 7:07
  black people and homophobic slurs, making jokes about, you
• 7:13
  know, having sex with a minor. Like it's just that does not
• 7:18
  even like come close to kind of matching the gravity of those
• 7:22
  statements. And I think what's also
• 7:25
  interesting about this is that he is not addressing this on his
• 7:28
  own platform. So this is like APR spokesperson
• 7:32
  that gave a statement to The Associated Press, which is like
• 7:35
  a huge publisher, right. This is like the most mainstream
• 7:39
  you can get practically. So it's interesting that he is
• 7:42
  taking like a very PR heavy, kind of like celebrity,
• 7:47
  traditional celebrity route with this statement as opposed to
• 7:50
  making a video addressing his audience directly.
• 7:53
  And I think that's kind of how influencers and you tubers and
• 7:56
  stuff are able to bounce back is when they make these mistakes.

  You know, it kind of comes to a head.

  And then if they are able to make a proper apology and speak
• 8:07
  directly to their audience and show their audience that they've
• 8:09
  changed off of the back of that apology, like that's going to do
• 8:13
  way more for them than just ignoring it online and giving
• 8:17
  some PR statement to the press. All right.

  on the Cody Co situation because he has seemingly been removed

  just like attached to their screens when Noel drops the

  first episode because he's going to have to address it.

  the plan is moving forward, how things have been.

  I can't imagine being in a partnership like this kind of

  you having to deal with a lot of the fallout because of something

  that your business partner did and refuses to address.

  Like I imagine that's causing a lot of friction between them and

  it would be very difficult for Noel.
