- 0:40Now as always, I'm always joined by my Co host Ahmed Abbas Gokul.
- 0:45However on this occasion I'm joined by someone who's an
- 0:48asset. So after Mushroom, someone who
- 0:50hosts his own show at the same time.
- 0:52June 9th anymore. And that's none other than
- 0:55Muhammad Ali or Keira Ahmed Gokul.
- 0:57Both of you. How's it?
- 1:09Going bro, you don't actually. You don't actually host.
- 1:16Anymore. Yeah, it's even said in my last
- 1:19episode that you're going to see me here and there on the
- 1:22Aftermath podcast. Just tells us how much said I
- 1:24didn't watch his day. The whole point is, what are you
- 1:29still doing here? No, it's good.
- 1:32To have you on man. For those who don't know, who
- 1:36haven't tuned in to the outro, can you tell us what's the
- 1:39latest? The latest is that yeah, we just
- 1:42basically went through what we've been through on Drama
- 1:45Nights, all of the different kind of things that we covered,
- 1:49the aims and objectives that have been reached in Drama
- 1:52Nights, because obviously it started with these aims and
- 1:55objectives. And Hamdallah, I feel like to
- 1:57the best of my ability, we have achieved them.
- 2:00I hope, I guess, you know, yes, So yeah, Inshallah obviously
- 2:03moving on for the future. And I mentioned in the episode
- 2:06that inshallah, we do have projects planned for the future,
- 2:10so it's not like I'm going away or anything.
- 2:11And obviously this is proof of that just one week after my
- 2:15outro SO. But do you know what bro?
- 2:18Like for I think for a lot of people who watch Jamaah Knights
- 2:22and watch the podcast, they'll see like a clear distinction in
- 2:25in goals and objectives and methodology between the two.
- 2:29And obviously Jamaah Knights is very literature based and core
- 2:33when it comes to Quran and Hadith.
- 2:35And obviously the focus on the Imam as well.
- 2:37And that's like a constant on across the 50 episodes.
- 2:41And obviously the podcast will talk about more social issues
- 2:43and more contemporary stuff as well.
- 2:45But the episode today is relevant.
- 2:49It's kind of like a Jummah Knights topic, so.
- 2:54I kind of wish I did it actually now, like in Jummah.
- 2:58We go, but you're here, so let's help us on opportunities now.
- 3:01So what are we talking about? Sharla, we're looking to
- 3:03discuss, I think more so miracles of the Quran,
- 3:09prophecies from the Quran. But I think let's begin here,
- 3:12honey. I think every religion out there
- 3:14claims to have a form of miracle associated to their faith and if
- 3:19you ask every Muslim around the world, myself, Ahmed and
- 3:21yourself will all say the same thing.
- 3:23What's the biggest miracle God gave to Islam, which is the book
- 3:26of Allah, the Quran, the revelation that came down to
- 3:28Rasulullah Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi wasallam Allah, Muhammad,
- 3:32Muhammad. But then what does that mean?
- 3:34Like what does that entail? Because everyone can say it's
- 3:36miraculous but do we really know what is miraculous about the
- 3:41miracle of the Quran? From my understanding, I know
- 3:46there it's there's more to the miracle of the Quran than just
- 3:49its linguistic field, if we can say right.
- 3:53But I remember growing up as a child hearing the story of
- 3:57Alwaleed bin Mooreira and a conversation that he had with
- 4:01Abu Jahl, when Rasoolallah Muhammad sallallahu alaihi Wali
- 4:04wasalam would go near the cabe and he'd utter the revelation
- 4:08that came down to him. He'd utter the verses of the
- 4:10Quran and people and Mecca would hear and they'll be mesmerized.
- 4:13No, they'll be interested. The hearts will sway towards
- 4:16what's this Arabic language? What's this we've never heard,
- 4:19you know, Arabic in its form, the way that Rasul Allah was
- 4:21uttering, right? So Abu Jahel will tell al
- 4:25Waleed, al Muhaira, you know, go and try to tell the people that
- 4:29what he's saying is normal, is fine.
- 4:30There's nothing special, there's novel, nothing miraculous about
- 4:33the Arabic language that he's using.
- 4:35And as far as I'm aware, you know, he comes back to Abu Jahel
- 4:38and tells him it's impossible what you want me to do, It's
- 4:40impossible, right? Because there is nothing that
- 4:42will match the Arabic and the linguistic terms that Rasulullah
- 4:46was using with the revelation. And Abu Jahil tells him, you
- 4:49know what, we're going to stop giving you money.
- 4:51You know, you're no longer going to be on our payroll if you're
- 4:54not going to go and tell the people that.
- 4:55What al sallallahu alaihi wasallam saying, there's nothing
- 4:58miraculous about it. Anyhow, back and forth.
- 5:00And there's a whole chapter about this in the Quran, if I'm
- 5:02not mistaken, which speaks about it.
- 5:03And the Quran now counters that and says, you know, try and do
- 5:0710 chapters similar. And then he goes on father and
- 5:10says, forget her and try to do 1.
- 5:12And it doesn't. So I know, I know the miracle of
- 5:14the Quran. Yes, it stems from its
- 5:16linguistic Arabic language. But I know there is more.
- 5:20And I do want you to speak about the linguistics of the Quran and
- 5:23why it's special. But we do live in a day and age
- 5:26where the Quran no longer just came to Arabs.
- 5:28Islam is no longer just in the Middle East, in Mecca, in, in,
- 5:32you know, in HJAS. It's Islam is global.
- 5:34So there are more miracles that we want to understand about the
- 5:37Quran. And here's your opportunity to
- 5:40start JN Volume 2. I think you know what, what's
- 5:45really interesting about the miracle of the Quran is that
- 5:47when you look at the kind of the the miracles that came with the
- 5:51previous prophets, you look at, for example, at the time of
- 5:56Nebula Hai Musa, right? The miracle that he received was
- 6:00of being able to make the stick into the snake, for example, and
- 6:04to defeat the greatest kind of knowledge at that time, which
- 6:09was magic, right? And then you have the same thing
- 6:12with Nebula Hai Issa, for example, with medicine.
- 6:14And no matter how good of a doctor you are, you can't bring
- 6:18someone back to life. Yes, right.
- 6:20So that was the miracle that he had.
- 6:22So that was a proper hodja upon all of the people because they
- 6:25can see that this is the science that we have the most knowledge
- 6:28in and he's been able to do something that nobody can do,
- 6:32right? So the same way the, the miracle
- 6:37that he's given is the one that the people of his time
- 6:40specialized in the masters of eloquence of that time in the
- 6:44Arabic language. And that was the challenge,
- 6:46obviously, as you said, that the Quran.
- 6:47Was it more so in poetry, by the way?
- 6:49So. The Quran actually says not to
- 6:52call it poetry. OK, in one of the schools.
- 6:56Not as in the Arabs, not the Quran itself.
- 6:58Yeah, yeah, yeah, 100% in, in poetry and rhetoric and
- 7:00eloquence. The Arabs at that time were
- 7:02very, very like, they were like, even if you look at some of the
- 7:05poetry of Jahiliya, like it's very, very eloquent.
- 7:08And some of them were very, very good, even obviously.
- 7:11Yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 7:13Yeah. So, yeah, this this miracle, I
- 7:15think at that time why it was primarily linguistic is because
- 7:20of that fact. And obviously the Quran says and
- 7:24yeah. And that to bring a chapter like
- 7:28it if if they can, and it then goes on to say that they can't
- 7:32do it, they will, they will never be able to do it.
- 7:34So yeah, that's like like the kind of the kind of context
- 7:38around it. And then you see that we have a
- 7:43difference of opinion amongst the scholars with regards to the
- 7:45linguistic miracle. So there is the opinion that the
- 7:50the Quran in the way that it's been written, it's humanly
- 7:53impossible for somebody to be able to include as many
- 7:57rhetorical devices, as much eloquence as the Quran provides.
- 8:02For example, we see that some of the academics, they've looked
- 8:04into solar, solar culture, which is the smallest chapter of the
- 8:07Quran, 10 words. And they estimate that there's
- 8:1040 rhetorical devices used just in those 1010 words.
- 8:13So it's, it's crazy to think about like rhetorical devices
- 8:16obviously include things like similes, metaphors, you know,
- 8:20conciseness, like, you know, alliteration, those things that
- 8:24we learn in school, hyperbole, all of these things.
- 8:26And to think that in 10 words, you can use 40, it's it's like
- 8:30it's ridiculous, right? Yeah.
- 8:32So that opinion definitely existed that, you know, that
- 8:35it's impossible for a human to to do so.
- 8:38But some scholars, they felt like it was too much of a high
- 8:41claim to make. OK.
- 8:42Right. In that sense.
- 8:43So they used to believe in a, in a concept called surfer.
- 8:46Yeah. Which what?
- 8:47What it means is that they believe that the linguistic
- 8:50miracle of the Quran was that nobody could write anything like
- 8:55it because Allah would stop them physically from being able to do
- 9:00so even if they had the ability to write something like it.
- 9:03OK, so many of the scholars I believe say the Mutova, sorry,
- 9:07the classical scholars and even Shehad Mafid if I'm not
- 9:09mistaken. It's just like mainstream when
- 9:11you say many. This is this is what the
- 9:12classical scholars used to believe and many scholars even
- 9:15today they they do and hold the concept of Sarfa.
- 9:18And that's, you know, with regards to linguistic miracles.
- 9:20We can go into the linguistic somewhat examples as well in the
- 9:23Quran. But yeah, like if you guys want
- 9:26to like, you know, add on more, Ahmed, I'm sure you've got a lot
- 9:29to say. I don't know but to be honest am
- 9:32I? I'm just listening to words of
- 9:34excuse me. I think what you said about the
- 9:36the miracle of Quran is really pertinent and the miracles which
- 9:41the previous Ambia Aleh Musalam used as proof and a Hajja upon
- 9:48the people of their own infallibility and their own
- 9:51revelation from directly from Allah Spontala.
- 9:54And the Quran is something which I think is so profound in its
- 9:58mastery and its eloquence, its use of its lexical usage.
- 10:02And all of that is so deep and, and really intricate that at
- 10:06times when we, when we study the Holy Quran, we, we understand
- 10:09that the more we read the Holy Quran, the more we tend to
- 10:12understand that it is in complete harmony with itself and
- 10:15that it transcends time and culture and language.
- 10:20And really over the course of centuries and now millennia, the
- 10:23Holy Quran can, can be applicable.
- 10:25And we always say it's eternal. And it may sound cliche, but it
- 10:30really is because you can be from any tribal community at any
- 10:33point in the, in the course of history, you may, you may
- 10:35achieve doctorates and attain pH DS.
- 10:38But the Holy Quran will always humble the human race.
- 10:41And that is something which we have to remember.
- 10:43The Holy Quran will always put you back in your place and
- 10:46always remind you who's the master of the world's.
- 10:48And our last point says 300 times on the Quran to reflect
- 10:52and reflect and reflect. And so to Saad.
- 10:55So to Saad, excuse me, I'll ask 1 to Allah says in the Quran
- 10:58that this is a book which we have sent to people such that
- 11:01they may reflect and they take heed upon it.
- 11:03And I think that is a lot probing us as mankind to in
- 11:08essence tell us that this is a book.
- 11:11It has all of the answers and all you need to do is sit and
- 11:14read and reflect and apply. Because the Quran, it transcends
- 11:19the two covers of a book and it's more applicable once you
- 11:22understand the whole of Quran around you and not just in your
- 11:25hands. I think that's something which
- 11:27inshallah, hopefully today we can try and get more into and
- 11:30understand how the holy of Quran is actually not just relevant,
- 11:34but is the core of of modern day life.
- 11:36And it's it's symbiotic in its relationships with the Athlon
- 11:39Beta name of Salam as well. Because the Quran and the Athlon
- 11:42Beta are one and the same in essence, and we can't understand
- 11:46the Holy Quran without them, ultimately.
- 11:49Because this is a book, a divine book, and we are mere sinners,
- 11:54so we have means and mechanisms in which to understand that that
- 11:58miracle. Yeah, definitely.
- 12:01I have $1,000,000 question. Go for it.
- 12:03I need to know more miracles about the Quran.
- 12:05Honestly, I say this why because, you know, sometimes I
- 12:08see convert to or revert to come to the religion of Islam, and
- 12:14it's normally via them open choosing themselves.
- 12:17No one's forced them, right? They they purchase the Quran or
- 12:20they go to the local mosque and they had they get a copy of the
- 12:23Mustafa and they read it themselves in their own
- 12:25language, right in English, for example, and they find things on
- 12:29there that shocks them. You know, sometimes they come
- 12:31across verses that says, you know, I'm going to paraphrase,
- 12:35you know, we show you signs like do you deny them?
- 12:38For example, I think you know what I'm referencing to That's
- 12:41like one of the most top verse that they come across and they
- 12:44say, you know, that's so true. Or for example, where lately
- 12:47Baha with Shamsi that all these things they're like, you know,
- 12:50this makes sense. It's no longer just about okay
- 12:52after we had job after fast afraid no Islam, this war, God
- 12:56is sending us more. You know, there's science,
- 12:58there's astrology, there's there's like 100 million things
- 13:02that it's no longer just about me.
- 13:04But no, it's a way of life. Can I just I think what you're
- 13:06saying is it sorry, sorry. Because before Mohammed Ali
- 13:10answers, you know, I was telling you guys before for those who
- 13:12haven't seen last week's episode on on Colombia on the share of
- 13:16Colombia is amazing, brother. How the yeah.
- 13:20And what what the sisters told us after the podcast was that
- 13:23in, in their community in Colombia growing up as
- 13:26Catholics, they weren't given the Bible.
- 13:29They were told you're not allowed to take the copy of the
- 13:31Bible home and read it and reflect on it as you, because
- 13:34you'll have questions and those, those questions won't have
- 13:37answers, you know, in many communities.
- 13:40So, and, and you mentioned about reverts and the discovery of the
- 13:43Quran. The Quran is, is, is, is
- 13:46basically invites its reader to understand it more and to just
- 13:50dive deeper into it more. And I think it pulls someone in,
- 13:54especially someone who's void of of meaning and purpose and like
- 13:59spirituality and all of that, when they see the Holy Quran and
- 14:02they see that this feels like God's words.
- 14:06It feels like something in my soul which can I can understand
- 14:10to be the word of God. That penetrates the heart.
- 14:12It's different to any other book.
- 14:14Yeah, Yeah, of course. Yeah, man.
- 14:16So what is that? What is that?
- 14:17What's that connection that I, I, if I can say our last part of
- 14:20what I like gives to an individual that makes them feel
- 14:23this is a miraculous book? What is it?
- 14:26Yeah, I think we can. Like when you're speaking
- 14:29academically, you can kind of categorize it in so many
- 14:32different kind of aspects. Of just a little what?
- 14:35What? Like you know, what you
- 14:37mentioned, I think is, is is is is perfect because that
- 14:40emotional kind of side of because obviously we know that
- 14:43these are the words of Awa Subhan Allah.
- 14:45They're not going to be the same as the words of human beings.
- 14:48Even when you look at like, for example, Jinn and it mentions
- 14:50that some of the jinns, they say that, you know, like they went
- 14:55and they listened and they came back and they said we've heard
- 14:57something amazing. We've heard something Ajib
- 15:00right. So there's that feeling of awe
- 15:03and you know, like straight connection with a lot of panels,
- 15:07Allah, when you hear the Quran and that kind of feeling can't
- 15:10be discounted, but nor can it be discussed academically because
- 15:14it's something that is truly it's divine guidance, right?
- 15:18But when we're talking academically, I think you can
- 15:20kind of, you know, you can categorize the miracles in the
- 15:25following steps. You can categorize them into
- 15:28their prophecies, into the linguistic miracle of the Quran,
- 15:32the scientific miracle of the Quran and it's timeless nature
- 15:36as well, right? So these four, I would say, are
- 15:38generally speaking, what are the most discussed when we're
- 15:41speaking about academics. But there's one thing that I
- 15:44particularly think that a lot of people haven't focused on, and
- 15:48that is the confidence of the Quran, right?
- 15:52The Quran, when it speaks to you, it's, it challenges it, it
- 15:56says outlandish things right in the in the time of the prophet.
- 16:01It's relentless. He's living in Mecca, in the
- 16:05desert. He's a man that hasn't been
- 16:07taught by anybody. He's got very few followers in
- 16:10Mecca. He's being oppressed.
- 16:12His companions are being oppressed.
- 16:14They've been boycotted. Yeah.
- 16:16All of these things have happened now and at this point,
- 16:21anybody that is a rational human being that is looking at this
- 16:24from a political, strategic perspective, they think, you
- 16:26know what this guy's done for, this guy's gone and he's called
- 16:30to a religion and he can't handle the consequences.
- 16:34And it's that very time. The Quran answers to Rasulullah
- 16:38first, that Bhima took maruwa arid Anil mushrakin in Nakafi
- 16:42nak al mustahazin al ladi nahad yad unam allahi ilahan ahar sofa
- 16:47alamun. In that situation, you've got no
- 16:52food, you're being oppressed, you're being beaten.
- 16:55Everybody thinks that. You know what?
- 16:57That's it. Yeah.
- 16:58This is a man in the desert with a couple of followers.
- 17:01What is it going to come to you? And the Quran is speaking so
- 17:03confidently. It's telling him go and do what
- 17:05you've been ordered to do first that turn away from the
- 17:10polytheists in Nakafi Naka Musta has it in we're we're enough for
- 17:14you against the people that are mocking you.
- 17:16Yes, Yeah. Those who put a God alongside
- 17:22Allah, soon they're going to find out.
- 17:25Yes. At that point, that confidence,
- 17:29I feel like that is one of the biggest things for me that when
- 17:32I see that, that in Mecca at this point in time, the Quran
- 17:37can say that and for it to become something that is true.
- 17:40Because they did find out. They found out over the years of
- 17:43Rasulullah and Rasulullah was a was a prophet for how long?
- 17:4623 years, Over 23 years. Asafullah not a prophet.
- 17:51His, his mission of prophethood lasted for 23 years.
- 17:54And in this time they found out they, they, they saw that the
- 17:58religion of Allah in the Quran, it reigns supreme above all of
- 18:02the religions in the Arabian Peninsula.
- 18:04So that is, I think one of the, the great miracles of the Quran.
- 18:09But I'm sure you guys have come across a lot of scientific
- 18:11miracles. Anything that you guys want to
- 18:13mention? I'm sure you've come across
- 18:14them. Like, I don't want to make this
- 18:16a monologue. I think you'd know better, but
- 18:18you know, I've heard things. For example, the Quran
- 18:20references the I think the space and expanding as well as, you
- 18:27know, touches on things like Embryology, touches on things,
- 18:30for example, even like the honeybee and all things that I
- 18:33think at the time when it was revealed to a revelation was
- 18:35coming down didn't make sense. But now in the 21st century with
- 18:39the technology and the world we live in today, there's like
- 18:43there's no, there's there's no room to say there's any
- 18:45contradiction or something that has inaccuracy or nothing's
- 18:49factual. It's like we've reached a stage
- 18:51where everything the Quran mentions, there's evidence for.
- 18:56Yeah, and. I think that mesmerizes a lot of
- 18:59people, especially I think scientists or those who on the
- 19:02field of medicine and things like that.
- 19:04But but for the average person, I like me, I remember coming
- 19:07across. So I don't know the verse by
- 19:10heart, but we're speaking about the 2C's not mixing.
- 19:13Yeah, and. Soto, you know.
- 19:17Someone would say. Bahraini.
- 19:25Yeah, regarding this verse, sorry, I know you're quoting the
- 19:28the ire, but to think that Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi
- 19:32wasallam would just utter words like this, right, Verses like
- 19:35this, but it wasn't relevant to their time.
- 19:39Yeah, this is how I see it, right.
- 19:40Like they they didn't really go into the seas, into the oceans.
- 19:43They didn't know nothing about space.
- 19:45They didn't have access to NASA, for example, and things like
- 19:48this. But it's it's as if when Rasul
- 19:50Allah was saying it there, he was saying it for our, our time
- 19:53period. Does it make sense?
- 19:56Yeah, yeah, absolutely. No, we'll just.
- 19:57Yeah, we'll just comply. OK, cool.
- 19:59It's it's. In.
- 20:00Both the first. Does exist?
- 20:02Yeah, in, in more than one place.
- 20:04Yeah, it's sort of for Pana, says verse #53.
- 20:07And he who is the one who matches the two bodies of water,
- 20:09one fresh and palatable and the other salty and bitter, placing
- 20:13it between them, a barrier that they cannot cross.
- 20:15You know, it's interesting. And these barriers you can
- 20:17visualise, you can see there's videos, there's everything.
- 20:19For it, there's, there's, there's other verses which are
- 20:23intricate and detailed enough, like that verse specifically.
- 20:26So for example, in, in the peninsula in Gibraltar, where
- 20:31you have the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean and the
- 20:33Mediterranean Sea and you have the salty and the sea water
- 20:35there. And the science has, has, I
- 20:39remember in our research this in the past, if water passes from
- 20:431:00 to the other, it homogenizes, it loses its core
- 20:47characteristics and homogenizes with the water it's entering.
- 20:50So the salty water will lose all of its minerals and all of this
- 20:53and that and then enter the fresh water and it will adopt
- 20:56those characteristics as well. And you know, there's like, bro,
- 20:59there's so many scientific miracles in the and like I said,
- 21:03some are overt like that and some are perhaps more or less
- 21:07distinctive, shall we say, once, once you reflect on them.
- 21:10So for example, when Allah says that everything was created in
- 21:12pairs. And the more you reflect and the
- 21:14more you research and you understand that actually fruits
- 21:17and vegetables are created with male and female organs.
- 21:21Or for example, that you have a protons and neutrons and they,
- 21:25you know, every, every atom has this make up and there's no atom
- 21:30in the whole the universe which is without a pair in, in, in
- 21:33terms of its formation. And the ants, for example, the
- 21:36ants, when they talk about talk to talk in reference to Nabi
- 21:39Suleimani, they Salaam and they talk about between themselves.
- 21:42And you know, if you're reading that verse like 500 years ago
- 21:46thinking, oh, this is, you know, sounds like a fairy tale.
- 21:48Ants talking between themselves. If you study it, a colony of
- 21:51ants, it's been found that their characteristics are very similar
- 21:55to those of humans, that they congregate between themselves.
- 21:58They even for example, they dispose of their food before the
- 22:01winter so it doesn't rot. I've seen the commentaries on
- 22:03this. Really.
- 22:04Yeah, like, sure. There's.
- 22:06So many there's in iron sent from space mentioned in the
- 22:09Quran. I've got here pain receptors in
- 22:11the skin. This one is crazy when Allah
- 22:13talks about how in in the fire of hell, how the skin will be
- 22:18burned and they will it will regrow such that it can
- 22:23repeatedly feel pain. You know, only recently, like
- 22:26the last 100 years, it, it was believed up until recently that
- 22:30that pain receptors were found in the brain.
- 22:34It's only recently been understood that it's actually in
- 22:36the skin. So skin cells contains pain
- 22:39receptors and not actually something in the brain.
- 22:42The Big Bang theory and the Big Crunch theory, which again, 80
- 22:45whatever, 90 years ago, Albert Einstein understood when he
- 22:49talked about that. And up until now, you know, it's
- 22:52proven in the Holy Quran that there's the expansions of the
- 22:55universe and even the folding of the heavens and the earth.
- 22:57Colon says we can keep going on and on and on.
- 23:00There's so many of them, you know, astrology and astronomy.
- 23:02We haven't even touched Embryology.
- 23:04Water as well. The fact that yes, every living
- 23:06thing. Contains water, yeah.
- 23:08You've got like the mountain and pegs as well.
- 23:11Yes, yes. Yes.
- 23:12Yes. Yes, yes, yes.
- 23:13Fixtures on the. Yeah, yeah, all of these things
- 23:15are amazing. Even the the when we talked
- 23:18about Embryology, even this form of it uses the word alaka,
- 23:23right? Speaking about the shape of like
- 23:25basically like a Leech, right? And if you look at it like
- 23:28microscopically a, like a sperm cell would, it's exactly the
- 23:33same kind of shape. And they, and when they found it
- 23:35out, there's a very famous video of the scientists saying that
- 23:38the, the knowledge that the Quran has about this, like it
- 23:42couldn't have existed. It's impossible for it to have
- 23:44existed in the 7th century. It's impossible.
- 23:48This is why I started off by mentioning, for example, you
- 23:51know, the verse of the the 2C's mixing and you mentioned more
- 23:54verses. And now you're speaking about
- 23:55this because at the time, Marasol Allah, you know,
- 23:58mentioned all of these. It didn't make sense for them,
- 24:00right? So for them, the, the miracle of
- 24:01the Quran was what the language, the linguist exactly.
- 24:04But for us living here today, now and for all the future
- 24:07generations to come. So when we go back and see the
- 24:10Quran discuss this at a time where it was practically
- 24:13impossible for anyone to come up with these things, this is the
- 24:16Quran saying, you know what, I'm right.
- 24:18Yeah, I'm produce, you know, in your.
- 24:19Face I I don't want to say like that, but you say the Quran is
- 24:22confident, 100% this is one, yeah.
- 24:24For us, it's, it's like it's, it's proof in our directly in
- 24:27our face. Like we know the Holy Prophet
- 24:29Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi was, you know, all of these things.
- 24:35OK, OK, OK. We like, we know these things.
- 24:37However, it's just there, like it's black and white, obvious in
- 24:40our face. The Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace
- 24:42be upon him. His family was born and raised
- 24:44in the desert. He lost his father.
- 24:46He lost his mother at a young age.
- 24:48He lost his grandfather at a young age.
- 24:50Just explain to me how a man. Like the circumstances doesn't
- 24:53match. No, how how would a no teacher
- 24:55who no teacher, a man who many people say didn't know how to
- 24:59read or write. I don't want to bring that up
- 25:00against it, but like how many people say did not know how to
- 25:03read and write and understand about the formation of the Seas
- 25:06and and and a tectonic plates in the earth and all of these
- 25:09things. Like it's just humanly
- 25:11impossible. And what more does that say
- 25:12about his characteristic that all of that knowledge in terms
- 25:16of scientific knowledge will be imparted to the Holy Prophet
- 25:18Mohammed, entrusted to the Holy Prophet Mohammed by a last part
- 25:22I. Love yeah, 100%.
- 25:23Person was he to like you see this?
- 25:24Crazy 100% because you see all of these facts that are there in
- 25:27the Quran. It's not that they were revealed
- 25:30to him just as facts. Rasulullah is one of his main
- 25:33characteristics and his main functions as the Rasul is to
- 25:36explain the Quran. So it's not only that he knows
- 25:39that this is the case, he knows how to explain it too.
- 25:43He knows the depths and the, the, all of the meanings that
- 25:46are kind of encapsulated in these verses.
- 25:48So it's not a, it's not a joke. When you think back like
- 25:52Rasulullah, the amount of knowledge that he would have had
- 25:55and how much he'd have to hold back as well from the people
- 25:58that were living there at the time.
- 25:59Like this is day and vibes man. Yeah, exactly.
- 26:04All of that. Exactly.
- 26:06Exactly. So you said that there were four
- 26:07things. Yeah, you said that there was
- 26:09the linguistic, scientific, the prophecies and the eternal
- 26:12relevance. Yeah, 1. 100 So let's go through
- 26:14them. Let's go through.
- 26:15Yeah, let's go through. We've done the scientific.
- 26:17Yeah, we could say. Yeah, we could say that the
- 26:19scientific is, is. I think that's.
- 26:21So the linguistic 1, is it about Switzerland?
- 26:23Cultural, yeah, there's. There's also some other verses I
- 26:26wanted to read with with regards to the linguistic ones.
- 26:29There's one very interesting verse that.
- 26:32Can I just ask you, yeah, sorry, bro, there's going to be people
- 26:34who are going to be like, yeah, but I could go on ChatGPT and
- 26:38say please make me a verse which someone could believe.
- 26:40It's in the Quran. People believe everything
- 26:43nowadays. So when we talk about the
- 26:45linguistic makeup on, are we talking about literally like the
- 26:51grammar and it making literal sense?
- 26:54Are we talking about everything linguistics like the whole of
- 26:57the art? That's all of that, which I know
- 26:59you love when we talk about behind the camera, like what?
- 27:02All of the intricacies and the. Makeup of it, yeah.
- 27:05So there's difference. There's, like I mentioned,
- 27:07there's difference of opinion. So for example, someone like
- 27:10Shekhar Tulsi, he used to believe that the miracle of the
- 27:12Quran linguistically was in the Balara and in the Navam.
- 27:16All right. So Balava is obviously like
- 27:18eloquence, right? In the in, in, in it being so
- 27:22short in, in a verse, but being able to convey the most meaning
- 27:26and the most kind of rhetorical devices, the most eloquence as
- 27:30well. So a lot of the scholars, well,
- 27:32they used to say that you can't have both either.
- 27:35You put all the rhetorical devices in and the sentence has
- 27:38no real meaning. And there are examples at the
- 27:41time of the prophet that of people that actually tried to
- 27:44meet this challenge and you would see their poetry and it
- 27:46still exists and it has no meaning.
- 27:49It doesn't carry any deep, any depth, even though
- 27:52linguistically it might be a great, you know, it might be
- 27:54very eloquent linguistically, it doesn't carry the the meaning.
- 27:57And if you want to try and write something with meaning, you
- 28:00would not be able to encapsulate that many rhetorical devices.
- 28:03But one thing that I wanted to speak about specifically is the
- 28:07another here. Yeah.
- 28:08So the another is like the sequence of the way that the,
- 28:11the the the letters and the words are formulated.
- 28:14Yeah. And this is something that I
- 28:15picked up from 1 of the scholars he was mentioning.
- 28:18Sorry, does not mean structure or my.
- 28:20Yeah, another is like, yeah, structure and sequence, OK.
- 28:23And and and the way that basically the formation of a of
- 28:27a sentence. So this scholar he mentioned
- 28:30right, that one of the so you have in the in the in the Arabic
- 28:33language, you have the letters that are a bit like, you know,
- 28:36tough, right. You have like iron, for example.
- 28:39You have, you have Cough. Yeah, these letters.
- 28:41My daughter struggles with these.
- 28:43Yeah, 100 percent, 100. Percent and another one to be
- 28:45honest, like one I still struggle with is actually a lot
- 28:49right? It's very hard.
- 28:51Like if we're non Arab specifically, it's very hard to
- 28:53pick up these ones, even iron and and 1/2.
- 28:56But if you were to try and get like, for example, somebody who
- 28:58doesn't speak Arabic to say these, these letters, they
- 29:01wouldn't be able to see say them.
- 29:02Why? Because they're so hard and they
- 29:04come from the throat. Now, when you have too many of
- 29:07these letters, the ones that are like, you know, are tough in a
- 29:11sentence, it makes the IT makes the sentence heavy and tough to
- 29:15say on the tongue as well. Now this scholar that I was
- 29:18listening to, he brought up this example of the of the letter
- 29:21half. And he said in this short
- 29:23sentence, there's 11 halfs, right?
- 29:27But listen to the how the verse reads.
- 29:29So we see Allah says in the in Switzerland the verse #27 after
- 29:33the best mala he says what's true Alayhi nabh abne Adama bill
- 29:37happy is karaba kurbanan for Taco Bella min ahadima.
- 29:48Right. So in this verse, there are 11
- 29:50paths, right? But the way that the words have
- 29:54been formulated is that so that it's light on the tongue and the
- 29:58the way that it's been done is by adding in many letters that
- 30:02are only said with the lips. So you have the lamb, right?
- 30:06Lamb, you only say meme bar exactly right.
- 30:08These letters are, are, are soft and their light on the tongue.
- 30:13So in the verses that have many paths, you'll see a lot of these
- 30:17letters as well to balance out the, the kind of the heaviness
- 30:21of the, of the sentence. Yes, right.
- 30:23And there's other examples as well.
- 30:24There's another example in Solat Al Imran as well.
- 30:28Right verse #181 says Allahu Latina Palu in the next Harry,
- 30:42right. This one also, I believe it has
- 30:4410 paths as well. The same way many paths, many
- 30:47lambs, many memes, right, to make it soft on the on the way
- 30:51that it's being recited. So something like this and while
- 30:54maintaining the high level of meaning and what is being put
- 30:57across in the verses, that's something that is is very
- 31:01difficult for any kind of writer.
- 31:03While maintaining the level of rhetorical devices as well.
- 31:07In those ones that he's using metaphors, he's using similes,
- 31:10he's using like, you know, other hyperbole, right?
- 31:13All of those things are being maintained while also
- 31:16maintaining the novel of the sentence.
- 31:18So this linguistic miracle, and like I said, Shaka Tulsi used to
- 31:22believe that this was the linguistic miracle, that it was
- 31:25humanly impossible for anybody to write something like this.
- 31:28But now when you ask the question, ChatGPT, right, and
- 31:32ChatGPT, to be honest, like contrary to popular belief,
- 31:35isn't actually that good. Yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't.
- 31:37I wouldn't trust it to try and write something like the Quran.
- 31:41But even if. Even if it even if it.
- 31:43Tried. Right, even if it tried to and
- 31:45even if we got all of the brains of the world together.
- 31:49This is the belief that we have in Sarfa, right?
- 31:52And many of our scholars used to believe in that Allah has made
- 31:55it physically impossible that anytime someone tries to
- 31:58challenge the Quran through its linguistics, through its through
- 32:01its meaning, that they will not be able to because Allah is
- 32:04holding them back. And that possibly is the reason
- 32:07why there were many masters of the Arabic language, masters of
- 32:09Arabic eloquence that were not able to do that, right.
- 32:12So linguistically, these are like examples that exist.
- 32:16Another thing in the Quran as well linguistically is the
- 32:19precision right of the of the words used.
- 32:22So, for example, we have Nebi Ibrahim mentioned in the Quran,
- 32:28right? Nebi Ibrahim, his, his name is
- 32:30spelt two ways in the Quran, right?
- 32:32And this is a, a, a theory based a little bit on speculation, but
- 32:36I thought I'd mention it anyway that it's mentioned that, for
- 32:40example, in Surat al Baqarah, when you see Nebi Ibrahim's
- 32:42name, it's there without Aya. And they would just put the long
- 32:47Fatah basically on the on the heart in Ibrahim to make it
- 32:50Ibrahim, right? And in other places it's
- 32:52mentioned with the AAP right? Now, some of the academics, what
- 32:56they've said is that in the Bible, for example, we see in
- 32:59Genesis that Allah says to Ibrahim or God says to Ibrahim
- 33:03that from this day, your name is no longer Abraham.
- 33:07It is now Abraham, right? So there was a point in time at
- 33:12which Nabilah Ibrahim was given a mission and a duty.
- 33:17And from that time Allah changed his name.
- 33:19So it's possible that this spelling kind of difference in
- 33:23the Quran is reflective of the time that Nabilah Ibrahim had
- 33:28yet to begin his mission and after he'd begun his mission.
- 33:30So even things like that is so precise.
- 33:33It's, it's, it's so like it doesn't, it doesn't, it makes
- 33:36sure that it doesn't leave out any detail, right.
- 33:38So, yeah, these these are like with linguistically, like there
- 33:41are many other examples you can mention.
- 33:43And of course, as we mentioned, sort of health or food
- 33:45rhetorical devices. I don't think the viewers have
- 33:48any time that the time to go through all of them.
- 33:51Yeah. But you know, these are these
- 33:52are documented facts and things that people can actually search
- 33:55online to see more about the linguistic miracles of the
- 33:58Quran. Solid points.
- 34:00Yeah. Yeah, yeah, it's crazy.
- 34:03You know, sometimes, like, I think we genuinely take our
- 34:08miracle right, which is the Quran for granted so much.
- 34:11Yeah. You're knowing all of this,
- 34:13having said all of what we're discussing here.
- 34:15And I'm sure, you know, there's so much other things that people
- 34:17can see online for themselves from many experts, from many
- 34:20scholars in the field. And what are we doing?
- 34:23Yeah. What about the Quran is and is
- 34:27the crown and the jewel on our heads?
- 34:29Like we, why don't we have to ask ourselves like, what are we
- 34:31doing and when, when we live our day-to-day life here in the UK,
- 34:35in London, right? We wake up, we sleep, we eat, we
- 34:38repeat as the as the saying goes, we go to work, we go to
- 34:41mosque and everything. But I don't think the Quran is
- 34:43really part of our lives, Yani. The Quran is there for
- 34:47everything and for a lost, it gives us direction down, you
- 34:52know, uplifts us and things like this.
- 34:54Yani All it takes, I think is reflection.
- 34:57You know that they're saying of Rasulullah Muhammad Salallahu
- 35:00Alayhi Wasalam, you know, an hour of reflection as equal to
- 35:0470 years, 70 years of Ibadah, right?
- 35:08And the Quran speaks so much about reflection.
- 35:11And I think it even allows us, you know, if we truly reflect on
- 35:14the Quran, we can navigate, you know, our day-to-day emotions as
- 35:18well. Be it Sabor, be it anger, be it,
- 35:21you know, happiness, all of this.
- 35:23You know, I think the Quran can help us manage our emotions as
- 35:27human beings. There's more than just miracles.
- 35:29The Quran is everything. And when I come across verses
- 35:32and I have a lot of favorite verses, right?
- 35:36I've, I've written some down actually, I don't know if you
- 35:38guys have any favorite verses you want to share as well.
- 35:40One being is, and I think this goes to everyone, which is
- 35:44indeed Allah with those who are patient.
- 35:45And when I come across that and Allah right, it's like no matter
- 35:49what difficulty you're in, no matter what hardship you're in,
- 35:52no matter how low you've gone, God is there and God will take
- 35:56you out of it. Just have belief in him.
- 35:59Just rely on him, you know, and the other one like for example,
- 36:03let's say we find ourselves lost in this dunya on this world.
- 36:07You know the so I don't want them to just quote the verse.
- 36:09I'm not correct me right It goes.
- 36:12You know, those who are committing sins left, right and
- 36:14centre and they want to truly repent and come back to Allah.
- 36:18You know the verse of. So when?
- 36:30We come to things like this, you know, even as Muslims, like even
- 36:33if if we've try and rest against ourselves, you know, we've gone
- 36:37far away from the halal of Allah.
- 36:39We've entered the world of shaytan and Haram.
- 36:42All it takes is pick up the Quran, read that verse and you
- 36:45know, I can come back to God. And I don't know, maybe if we
- 36:49can take that conversation this way in terms of how you not feel
- 36:52on a personal level with the Quran, Like how does it help you
- 36:56in the day-to-day life? I'm saying I'm saying this right
- 36:58now, but that means to me, if I say it and whoever can
- 37:01understand what I'm saying is that I only really open up the
- 37:04Quran. I'm struggling in life and this
- 37:06shouldn't really be the case, right?
- 37:08I mean, the last time I read the Quran, if I'm honest, was I was
- 37:11in a fat hair. I think just over a month ago
- 37:14someone passed away up in the Quran.
- 37:16I recited and we, you know, we said a few verses in there.
- 37:19This shouldn't be the case. Don't pay yourself out.
- 37:21No, it's fine. You're OK with that's?
- 37:23Fine. Yeah.
- 37:23Bro. What?
- 37:24You think I read the Quran every day?
- 37:26Who am I? I'm serious.
- 37:29This is reality. This is reality and this is
- 37:32something we all have to improve.
- 37:34A lot of us turn to the Quran in darkness.
- 37:37I said this is my point. I thought honestly.
- 37:39Yeah, that's the point. Today, my point, it shouldn't be
- 37:41the case. Yeah, no, as in like for
- 37:43example, in times of celebration, in terms of
- 37:45rejoicing and gratitude. And yeah, Quran explicitly talks
- 37:49about how those who who turn to God and in terms of need will
- 37:53turn their backs on. Don't get me wrong, when I say a
- 37:56month ago I mean like we referenced the column here and
- 37:58there, but when we truly pick it up and really reflect and
- 38:01understand that should be like. I mean, the, The thing is like,
- 38:05at least for me, the best. The Quran amplifies my, my other
- 38:10actions, right? So, for example, when I do, when
- 38:13I recite the Quran between my Salah, it elevates my Salah.
- 38:16Do you know what I'm saying? At least I find that myself or
- 38:19it elevates my, my, my level of patience or my, let's say, with
- 38:23my wife, my, with my children, with my parents, with whatever
- 38:26it might be. And I think even if we're not
- 38:30reading the Quran actively, but for example, doing something
- 38:33related to the Quran. So you're listening to tough
- 38:35seal while you're driving the Quran and driving the Quran,
- 38:37driving in the car and listen to something on the Quran or for
- 38:40example you are. Doesn't, doesn't, just doesn't
- 38:43just become like background noise.
- 38:45No, I don't think so bro. You.
- 38:46Don't talk about physically opening up.
- 38:48There's. There's so many, you can't do
- 38:51that. But Jolan doesn't exist.
- 38:53I mean, that doesn't exist, right?
- 38:56Yeah, I've heard. I've heard it all.
- 38:57One second. No, but probably.
- 38:59The only one that said it all. Maybe me and Mudge, Yeah, pretty
- 39:03much. But bro, like for example, just
- 39:06on what you said about like it being like a side kind of thing
- 39:10or you're giving it half your attention.
- 39:11Yeah, yeah, of course. But I still feel like that's not
- 39:14a bad thing. There's so many stories and
- 39:19lessons from a lot of the Olamal or Rafa who talk about like the
- 39:23manifestation of of like goodness in your soul in your
- 39:27nerfs. If you surround yourself with
- 39:29it, for example, like I think I mentioned it before to you.
- 39:32I think I may have on the podcast, a guy told Allah, what
- 39:36should I do? He said do 3000 like Allah a
- 39:38day, for example. And he goes, even if 10% of that
- 39:41seeps into your heart, good, like it's better than nothing.
- 39:44Do you know what I mean? And then the same way that just
- 39:46surrounding yourself with the Quran and the the relationship
- 39:49with the Quran, like in your good moods and your bad moods is
- 39:52great. What was I going to say you?
- 39:55You asked about my favorite verse.
- 39:57My favorite verse is, I think probably for a lot of people,
- 40:01sort of buckle our verse 155, which is top of your head.
- 40:08Shame. And I know you like that as
- 40:11well. It's it is like that.
- 40:14I do like that. No.
- 40:17But I mean, it's my favorite best.
- 40:18Yeah. I mean, for me at least, it's
- 40:20just like a the Quran is a standard for our life.
- 40:23Do you know what I mean? There's, there's moments in your
- 40:25life where you're feeling this or you're remembering that or
- 40:27something like a behaviour you see in someone or you, you see
- 40:31something happen in a community and it reminds you of a story in
- 40:34the hood of Quran, reminds you at a time where Allah said
- 40:36beware of this or this will happen.
- 40:39Or, and it feels like Allah has written this book for you.
- 40:43Allah has written a book for Ahmed in his life that he will
- 40:46have moments where he needs to turn and he needs to understand
- 40:50the the divine Hikma which is happening around him that you
- 40:54know, he needs to hear someone tell him, but you need to watch
- 40:56out mate. This is going on and you need
- 40:58this guy. Do you know what I mean?
- 41:00That's the beauty of the miracle of the.
- 41:01World and I. Appreciate you.
- 41:02Everyone's relationship with the Quran is independent and unique,
- 41:06but very few of us. This relationship with the Quran
- 41:10is. Strong.
- 41:11I think what I was trying to say, Ahmed, was that we
- 41:13shouldn't be limiting Quran to the holy month of Ramadan, which
- 41:18we're all guilty of, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 41:20Or when we go to some. Disservice.
- 41:21It's a disservice. Yeah, it.
- 41:22Should be more. I don't know, Muhammed, what do
- 41:24you? Think to be honest.
- 41:26I know you don't disagree, but. Yeah, no, I definitely don't
- 41:28disagree. I'm sure you can give me
- 41:29something I. Think no.
- 41:31No, honestly. No, not at all.
- 41:33I. Think honestly, I think there's
- 41:35something that I would say that this is something that the Shia
- 41:39community need to increase on a lot because because obviously
- 41:44we're people that do listen to things and.
- 41:46I get you. Just to repeat that one more
- 41:47time in case someone was busy, you need to say someone.
- 41:51In the back. Listen up, boys.
- 41:52Yeah, what do the Shia community, we all need to become
- 41:56more kind of connected to the Quran, listening to the Quran,
- 41:59reading the Quran because we're people that we're in the in the
- 42:02car. I'm sure that if you were to
- 42:04pick up any random shitty kids that goes to Harlem, whatever,
- 42:09he could recite at least one full luck meal for you by heart.
- 42:12Yeah, yeah, maybe 10 even. Luck.
- 42:14Meals by heart. Which is not a bad thing.
- 42:16It's not a bad thing, 100%. Yeah, it's definitely not a bad
- 42:19thing, 100%. They should be able to do that,
- 42:21obviously. But they should also be
- 42:22Mashallah. No?
- 42:23He does as well. But Mashallah, he's got BK
- 42:26tunes. Yeah.
- 42:29So I think in that sense it's it's really important to have on
- 42:33Quran because for me as well, and maybe my experience is a bit
- 42:37is a bit skewed is a bit different.
- 42:38But a lot of the time I'm like when I'm like researching about
- 42:42the theology and religion. And things like that.
- 42:44I can say that, yeah. I'm reading books, yeah, and
- 42:48there will be a specific IR used as an argument or something.
- 42:51As an evidence or. Something as an evidence or
- 42:53something, but that's fine. So I'll know that IR by heart,
- 42:56right? I'll know that IR, but I won't
- 42:57know where in the Quran it is. So some times right, I'll be
- 43:00like listening to a specific sort of like a random sort of
- 43:03like sort of hedger. Which is what I'm doing.
- 43:05I'm saying I'm paraphrasing. I should be knowing this.
- 43:07If I'm saying something, I should back it, right?
- 43:09Yeah, so like I'll be listening to a specific solar and then
- 43:13I'll be hearing the eye. I'll be like, oh, that, that,
- 43:15that I know that I like, you know, and I think everybody has
- 43:18that kind of experience in their lives.
- 43:20Like, you know, all the standard shit are verse, like verses that
- 43:23everybody remembers, you know, in the Mawelia Kumulu, that one,
- 43:26for example. Oh yeah, you like these kinds of
- 43:30verses when you hear it in the Quran, you get kind of happy.
- 43:33Like, you know, even I think in one of the Salawat, I I think
- 43:36it's on the day of Ashurat, for example, Surat al Hazab, right?
- 43:39You're reading it in the Salah and then you get to, you know,
- 43:41in the and then you're like, yeah, I know this by heart,
- 43:44right? So that kind of experience.
- 43:47Yeah, exactly that kind of experience.
- 43:48That happens to me a lot. And one of my favorite verses is
- 43:52actually it's from sort of hedgel, right?
- 43:54Sort of Hedgel Allah says we're in minche in Illa Indana Hazar
- 43:59in who a man who Nazila who Illa Bakadar in Maloum.
- 44:02And it's it's the same kind of understanding of comfort, right,
- 44:05that you spoke about because I think the Quran acts as comfort
- 44:09for a lot of us, right? He says that there is not a
- 44:12thing except that we have its treasures.
- 44:15Yeah, Illa Indana Hazar in who a man.
- 44:18And we don't bring it down except by like a a preordained
- 44:24Yani Kadar Maloum. Like I know, I know when to
- 44:27bring things down and when to take things back and when to
- 44:29hold things back. It's destined.
- 44:31Don't worry, you know, And that comfort in that verse for me is,
- 44:34is something and I like the way it sounds as well, you know,
- 44:37like Yeah. And and and this is thing.
- 44:39This is that Surah, one of the reasons why it's one of my
- 44:44favorite verses. I've had it so many times
- 44:46because the person who recites it, he's an amazing reciter,
- 44:50right? Has I think his name was Hazar
- 44:51Al Belushi, right? And he, he recites this Thisura
- 44:55and he recites it in such a mesmerizing way.
- 44:58Right now in the other communities of, of Muslims,
- 45:02every kind of Muslims that is religious, they will have like a
- 45:05top five Quran reciters list. Yeah.
- 45:09If you ask Kashiri, who are your favorite Quran reciters?
- 45:13Probably last week I was that I discovered it.
- 45:15That's true, I discovered. I don't know, winning
- 45:17competitions, but sorry, no, I was gonna say I'm aware of.
- 45:19Yeah, yeah, yeah. What 100?
- 45:21Percent. That's true.
- 45:22Shut up. We are winning competitions.
- 45:24Just load. Handler handler because the
- 45:26Quran for art martial law for for a lot of our sites, it
- 45:29doesn't get stuck in the throat and you know, you get you have a
- 45:32lot of who is it? That was telling me the other
- 45:34day, I can't remember where I was.
- 45:36Someone was saying to me that a lot of like some guy told me
- 45:40that he's met half of loads of half of the Quran in his life
- 45:44where he's like, it doesn't, as with everyone, no one's perfect.
- 45:49He's like, if the guy's memorized the Quran, he goes
- 45:51like then he knows all the answers.
- 45:53This is what the guy was telling me, right?
- 45:55He's like, so why is this akhlaq?
- 45:57Why is he being rude to me or calling me names?
- 45:59I'm like, bro, this is how we are as human beings.
- 46:03And it may not have had an effect on the guy who's maybe
- 46:05not applied what he's learned. But anyway, you're talking about
- 46:07reciters. Yeah, Brother of Turkey.
- 46:09Have you heard Brother of Turkey?
- 46:10Yeah, I have and. I heard his sort of hash order
- 46:13last week and it's in direct but it just feels so pertinent.
- 46:17They post this stuff on TikTok as well.
- 46:18Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's loads of these, like
- 46:21these compilations of like, like different sceneries and all
- 46:24their people and pictures. And that sort of specifically
- 46:27feels like it's relevant to today.
- 46:29And I think we mentioned it on episode Yeah, we mentioned it
- 46:34bro, two weeks ago. The sort of hashal verse where
- 46:36Allah talks about the fortresses that the enemies hide behind and
- 46:40yada, yada, yada. And like that specifically feels
- 46:42like it's a which is relevant now, like, you know, and how
- 46:47Allah fortifies the ones who fight in his way and strive and
- 46:50jihad in his way. Like there's it's just
- 46:53beautiful. Mashallah.
- 46:54There's so many, so many like adornments within the Holy Quran
- 46:57that we just don't really take another.
- 46:59Thing is also the science of the recitations of the Quran, like I
- 47:02think with like, you know, different programs now we have
- 47:05like shit our voice, for example, right?
- 47:07And there'll be individuals that are reading the Quran and
- 47:09there'll be questions that for example, say Jalal is asking and
- 47:11everyone saying like I've never heard of that.
- 47:13Yeah. I don't know where that my
- 47:14heart. That's that's when is so good.
- 47:16That's that's. Amazing.
- 47:17But on top of that as well, there are still other things
- 47:20about the sciences of recitation of the Quran.
- 47:21So there are, there's a whole science of Qura art of the
- 47:24Quran, right? There's 10 Qura arts of the
- 47:26Quran. Many Muslims or many Shia as
- 47:29well specifically don't actually know that there are 10 Qura arts
- 47:33of the Quran, right? So for example, the Qura that we
- 47:35read and the most famous one in the world is Hafsan Arsen, which
- 47:38is what we read in in the Quran, right?
- 47:41That we have like in our homes. There's also other Qura arts as
- 47:45well. So there's like Wash and Nafit,
- 47:46for example, Caliph and Hamza, Kalun and Nafir, all of these
- 47:51different kind of ways of the Quran being recited in that you
- 47:56know, like some of the words may be pronounced differently, some
- 47:59of the letters may be pronounced differently and people don't
- 48:01even know about it, right? Obviously with the caveat that
- 48:04there is obviously difference of opinion amongst the budget,
- 48:06whether you know all of them can be recited or not.
- 48:10As far as I know, say Sistani allows you to recite any of the
- 48:13seven Motawati ones in your Salah, whereas, for example,
- 48:16someone like say the Shirazi, wouldn't he only allows to
- 48:20recite, for example, have some awesome.
- 48:22But yeah, so basically, you know, there is the difference of
- 48:25opinion, but it's also important for this to be known because all
- 48:28of these recitations reached us in the same kind of fashion, in
- 48:31the same motto, water fashion. They were spread all across the
- 48:34Islamic world. And for me specifically, the
- 48:37rewire of Caliph and Hamza is one that I love, right?
- 48:41It's, it's, it's very, you wouldn't have heard it, but I, I
- 48:44really like it and it really helps me to actually listen to
- 48:47the Quran because I like the way that it sounds.
- 48:50And one of the reasons why I'm really interested in that one
- 48:52specifically is because it was one that was recited in Iraq at
- 48:56the time of the Imams. So some of the companions of
- 49:00Imam Sadaq Anthrus, in fact, the the Hamza that is mentioned in
- 49:03that Imam Hamza of the Karratha, it's said that he actually had
- 49:08relations or he was he he was actually associated and
- 49:11acquainted with the brother of Zurara, right.
- 49:14So there's a lot of, you know, question marks there thinking,
- 49:18you know what? Yeah, that might have been the
- 49:19what they were reciting at the time, right.
- 49:21And the way that it sounds is, is quite interesting as well.
- 49:24You can tell that it's a different recitation of the.
- 49:27So yeah, like that. That's something that I, I
- 49:29really enjoy. And I would really recommend if
- 49:31somebody, for example, is trying to, you know, be a bit like, you
- 49:35know, different, for example, right, to listen to something
- 49:38different and, and feel excited about it.
- 49:40Maybe that's one way to get excited, or maybe that's just
- 49:42me. But there's there's clearly like
- 49:44different levels of things that people can do because obviously
- 49:46looking at the art is not going to be something which like a
- 49:49first time. I really know.
- 49:50Yeah, that's true. So like, for example, everyone
- 49:52at different stages will have different things that they would
- 49:54benefit. I think for everyone, though,
- 49:56unanimously across the board, whether you're a newcomer and a
- 49:58first timer without a Quran or whether you've been studying on
- 50:01Quran for years, the one thing which everyone can benefit is
- 50:05just to sit and hold a Quran in your hand and read and a
- 50:08physical copy. Like the Quran apps are amazing
- 50:11and like they, they help us a lot And we pull it out here and
- 50:14there and we'll like read this verse or like you're sitting on
- 50:16a train and you'll pull it out and read.
- 50:17But sitting on on, on a prayer mat and actually holding the
- 50:21hood on in your hand, regardless of how learned or how new you
- 50:26are to the Holy Quran, it has its benefit on everyone.
- 50:30But then obviously, for example, for someone said for let's say
- 50:32someone who's like, let's say a New River or they're researching
- 50:36Islam, or maybe they've been born and raised Muslim, but they
- 50:38haven't engaged with the Holy Quran.
- 50:40Where would you advise them to start?
- 50:41Like as a first starting point. A revert.
- 50:45A revert someone new to the Quran, someone who's 18 years
- 50:48old now. They want to get engaged with
- 50:50the Quran. They want to build a
- 50:52relationship. Maybe they'd know basic Alif
- 50:54Bhatta, but they don't know where to begin.
- 50:57How does someone develop or start that relationship of love
- 51:01from now? How do they like you know, where
- 51:03do they? If I can be honest, it can be
- 51:05quite intimidating. If I can be honest, I think
- 51:08that's. Very difficult for me to answer.
- 51:10I wouldn't know how to tell, for example, someone who, let's say,
- 51:14doesn't know the Arabic language.
- 51:15No, no, I don't mean how to read AB CS, I mean someone who wants
- 51:21to start a relationship with the Quran.
- 51:23Yeah, Attention. Where'd you go?
- 51:26Well, you have to make the near you look.
- 51:29I think someone builds a relationship either look, when
- 51:32we're young, right, many of us handle had the opportunity, for
- 51:36example, to attend Quran classes or our parents will send us to
- 51:40Quran circles in the mosque or things like this, right.
- 51:43So we were like always exposed to the Quran.
- 51:48Many people are not. And I think sometimes I I
- 51:51believe this right. This is this is my belief that
- 51:54you have to stumble across it and I think it's a lot that
- 51:57takes you towards spinal. I, I generally don't think
- 52:01anyone in this day and age, unless he's seen like all hell
- 52:04break loose and he was an alternative.
- 52:06Like why would someone walk towards a faith when the world
- 52:09has given you a better alternative?
- 52:11If we can say, you know, they tell you don't believe in the
- 52:14afterlife, you know, don't believe in the hell fire.
- 52:17There's no such thing as heaven and hell and things like this.
- 52:19Like I think God brings you towards him.
- 52:22Well, I don't have to answer your question that, but maybe we
- 52:24have more than. I mean like people, for example,
- 52:26who like they need something in life.
- 52:28They want. I wouldn't know how to encourage
- 52:30them. You'd have to be disciplined.
- 52:31I wouldn't even say motivated. Discipline is more important.
- 52:34Like if you really want. To know the relationship in like
- 52:37how how someone was like OK, what's in it for me?
- 52:40Reward. But it takes time for someone to
- 52:42know that there is reward for this, right?
- 52:44Yeah. Also, I think that the the
- 52:46spiritual change because when you look at for example, like
- 52:50this is might be kind of like steering a bit far.
- 52:53But when you look at like, for example, psychological effects
- 52:55on people from the music they listen to the lyrics that they
- 52:58hear, right? A lot of the time you may be
- 53:01able to link, for example, more violent music, right, and more
- 53:05violent words with the increase of crime, for example, right.
- 53:11Those they're, they're just songs written by normal human
- 53:13beings. Yeah, right.
- 53:14Those are words that are just being written by random people.
- 53:17And, and most of the time they're very not intelligent
- 53:20people as well, right? When you're looking at the Quran
- 53:24and when you listen to the words of the Quran, if the words of a
- 53:28normal individual that's not even intelligent is able to have
- 53:31such a profound impact on someone's psychological mindset,
- 53:37the Quran is even more like it's infinitely more able to have an
- 53:43impact on the, on the individual that is listening to it, that is
- 53:46reading it in, in their lives, in their efficiency, in their
- 53:49discipline. And I think that is, is more
- 53:52more the kind of incentive for for somebody in this life, as
- 53:56well as obviously the reward that you would get in the
- 53:58hereafter. But also if somebody was to read
- 54:01the Quran, I feel like with the principles that are based on
- 54:07him, Salaam taught, right? And this is something we've
- 54:09spoken about on on Drama Nights, for example, the principles of
- 54:13Tenzil and Tawin. Right, I enjoyed that these.
- 54:16These principles, they I've once understood properly and I don't
- 54:21claim to understand them properly, but even the little
- 54:24that I have been able to access and understand, it makes you
- 54:28feel like that verse is speaking to you directly in the time you
- 54:31live. That level of guidance is, is
- 54:35something that's personal with the Quran, right?
- 54:37That's no longer now I've read this in that tafsir or I heard
- 54:42this Molana say this on the member about this specific aya.
- 54:46That is I read the Quran and it spoke to me right after you have
- 54:52those principles and you have that it's like you mentioned
- 54:54about sorts of hassle, right? When you read that verse and you
- 54:57think about the events today, you're you're thinking this is
- 55:00exactly what's going to happen. This is the promise of our last
- 55:03panel to other and you see the relevance of it in today's age.
- 55:06And I think that timelessness is the incentive.
- 55:09Just to prove how like profound Quran is probably.
- 55:12So I just did. What did you do?
- 55:14I just opened up the head of Quran and just picked up picked
- 55:16out a verse now which I thought might be relevant.
- 55:18Go for ASR conversations for us on home sort of and Kabul to 1st
- 55:22#43 these are the parables which we set forth for humanity, but
- 55:26none of them will understand them except the people of
- 55:29knowledge. And that tells us what that you
- 55:32will not understand the parables and the the stories and the the
- 55:38lessons are holy of Quran until you reflect and you, you, you,
- 55:42you become one of those with knowledge.
- 55:45I think that's probably like my core take away that's.
- 55:47Where the idol Bates are so important.
- 55:49Yeah, the bridge between US and the divine.
- 55:52Genuinely like when we when, when I was mentioning about the
- 55:55other communities and you know how we need to have more
- 55:57connection with the Quran. We are more deserving of having
- 56:01a connection with the Quran. We're in fact, I would like to
- 56:05even go as far to say that we are the only people that can
- 56:07have a connection with the Quran because we are the share.
- 56:10Event intended and desired connection.
- 56:12Yeah, 100% yeah. Yeah.
- 56:13The intended connection that Allah wants us to have with the
- 56:16Quran. We are the only people that have
- 56:18access to that knowledge because we are the share of times.
- 56:21So if not us, then who? If that makes sense, you know
- 56:26it. It has to be something that is
- 56:28is being focused on in our community specifically because
- 56:31the Quran, more so than any other miracle, is an
- 56:34opportunity. Yeah, there are there are
- 56:36individuals from other religions that sometimes they mock us when
- 56:39we say that the Quran is a miracle, is our miracle.
- 56:41They'll say to us our our prophet split the sea.
- 56:44Our prophet brought back this person to life.
- 56:47Our prophet did this. Our prophet did that.
- 56:49What did your prophet do? Bring a book.
- 56:51What kind of miracle is that? But the the special like nature
- 56:55of this miracle of the Quran is that these miracles that
- 56:59happened for example, Nabil Wahi Mosa when he he, he split the
- 57:03sea for example, right He split the sea for the individuals and
- 57:06they saw it and they were able to witness that miracle.
- 57:09The ones that were there in a specific geographical location
- 57:13in a specific period of time. The Quran gives you the
- 57:17opportunity to be able to witness miracle from the time of
- 57:21Rasulullah until the day of Judgement.
- 57:24Yeah. So if someone could come to you
- 57:25and they could say, what kind of miracle is this?
- 57:27You have to know Arabic to understand it.
- 57:29It's giving you the opportunity to be able to witness the
- 57:31miracle. Go and try and see Moses split
- 57:33the sea. You're not going to be able to
- 57:35see that no matter what you do. You're not going to be able to
- 57:37see that. But the Quran's giving you the
- 57:39opportunity. It's telling you I'm here and
- 57:41this is my miracle, and you have the opportunity to understand my
- 57:45miracle as well. So you know that that's how that
- 57:48that the miracle of the Quran is so different to any of the
- 57:50miracles of the other prophets because it gives you the
- 57:52opportunity and it challenges until the day of judgement.
- 57:56It says I'm not just around to challenge for, for now, yeah, to
- 57:59be a Hodger for the people that are around the prophet, but I'm
- 58:03a hodger for everybody until the day of judgement.
- 58:06I challenge anybody to come and falsify me, and I challenge
- 58:09anybody to come and find contradictions in me.
- 58:12Yeah. If it was from other than Allah,
- 58:15lewaje dufir du lafin kafira, they would have found in it many
- 58:18contradictions. The Quran says that no, nobody,
- 58:21even the ones that try to come with contradictions, all of them
- 58:24have been refuted literally. Like there's no, there's no
- 58:28match for the Quran. You know, let me, let me ask
- 58:31Ahmed, you know, since since you're speaking about Shia and
- 58:34you know, the relationship we need to have with the Quran
- 58:35here, I always hear this phrase and it's thrown out.
- 58:39I think, well, exclusively by non Shia is that the Shia have
- 58:43nothing got to do with the Quran, right?
- 58:45We're far away from the Quran and suddenly we, we have
- 58:48distorted the Quran and things like this, right.
- 58:50But the, the, the question I want to ask is how do we tell
- 58:53them no, bro, we actually understood the Quran correctly.
- 58:56Like how can we answer that? Because every school will claim,
- 58:59for example, we know the full interpretation or we know that
- 59:03we know we know the Tanzila, we know.
- 59:05I'll just want to. Answer that I think, I think all
- 59:07of that goes back to proving the willai of Ahil Bait aim Salaam
- 59:11because that is where you see and and you don't have to go far
- 59:15to prove it because the person that put the Quran and Ahil Bait
- 59:19together was Rasulullah himself. And everybody agrees.
- 59:23Everybody in every Muslim knows that, Al Asulullah said in
- 59:27Nitara Kun Fu Kumafakalain. Not only the fact that he left
- 59:32them behind, but also the fact that he paired them in these
- 59:36thaka lane, heavy things, weighty things, important
- 59:39things. He paired them together and then
- 59:41he said ma into my sectum beat him up.
- 59:44As long as you hold on to them together, you will never go
- 59:48straight. Now at this point, it is, it's
- 59:51clear from anybody that listens to that hadith that they're
- 59:55together. If I want to understand the
- 59:57Quran, I have to go towards the Ahil bait.
- 59:59Now that is the point where you would ask any other community
- 1:00:03which of the ahil bait did you take your tafir of the Quran
- 1:00:05from? And that that is exactly what
- 1:00:09you would hear. Silence.
- 1:00:11None of the ahil bait they took their tafsir from.
- 1:00:13Whereas if you look at our tafasir, our classical tafasir,
- 1:00:17tafir of Kummi. IS is so based in Imam Masada's
- 1:00:20narrations that people call it Tasira Sadak.
- 1:00:23What do you? Imagine that.
- 1:00:25Yeah, yeah. When you look at, for example,
- 1:00:27Tasir ayashi, yeah, Tasira Burhan, tasira Safi, all of
- 1:00:31these, literally the whole Quran, all mufasa by the albeit
- 1:00:36Safira Hassan al Askari, for example, these tafasir, they're
- 1:00:40just durations from the albeit explaining the Quran and albeit
- 1:00:44themselves. They emphasize on the Quran so
- 1:00:46much. They used to say, if any hadith
- 1:00:49comes to you from us, compare it to the Quran.
- 1:00:52The Quran is the origin. Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:00:55So that's that's also a reminder for us though.
- 1:00:57I think that that proves the legitimacy of the Azure based
- 1:01:00100% the fact that they're saying that Quran is a litmus
- 1:01:02test for them and their availability across across 11
- 1:01:07generations. Or rather, I would.
- 1:01:08I wouldn't say a litmus test for them.
- 1:01:10I would say a litmus test for the words that are like.
- 1:01:13When it comes to us, we're able to identify the words by its
- 1:01:17symmetry. I said so, yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 1:01:19Yeah. That's probably a more profound
- 1:01:21way of of trying to make the point.
- 1:01:23And I think that is, it's for us to be able to verify and, and
- 1:01:27ascertain that these are the words of the representatives of
- 1:01:31Allah upon Allah on earth, who are the descendants of the one
- 1:01:35who revealed the holy of Quran or brought the revelation on
- 1:01:37earth. And that these are the ones who
- 1:01:39inherited the knowledge of the Quran and, and kind of, you
- 1:01:42know, passed it on. They disseminated that knowledge
- 1:01:45to us. And what, what are we truly if
- 1:01:48we don't understand that through Quran and Hadith and we pair
- 1:01:53them up side by side. And you know when you think like
- 1:01:56when you say Behema and they're together and you're taking them
- 1:02:00together, like I've always thought of it as like, yeah,
- 1:02:03this is 1 and this is 1 and you got to take.
- 1:02:06But it's kind of like, I don't think it's meant to be like
- 1:02:08that. It's like, no, no, they are
- 1:02:09together in one. Yeah.
- 1:02:11I mean like they are. They are two parts of 1 answer.
- 1:02:14Inseparable. Two halves, inseparable.
- 1:02:16One. Yeah.
- 1:02:16Two sides of one coin. It's not.
- 1:02:18You're taking two separate coins and moving forth.
- 1:02:21If you're basically one coin, then you're half as rich.
- 1:02:23Now, it doesn't work like that. It's like you.
- 1:02:25This is the the answer. And the answer comprises of two
- 1:02:28things. One is this and one is this.
- 1:02:31And you have to have them together.
- 1:02:32Without that, we're lost. I mean, we're just like anyone
- 1:02:35else who is taking 1/2. And that might be the Quran, but
- 1:02:39abandoning another half. And that goes for like every
- 1:02:42element of our life. And like you said, the keyword
- 1:02:45here is the symmetry. Yeah, the symmetry and the proof
- 1:02:49in Al Qaeda which can be found in the Quran and the proof from
- 1:02:52the Quran which can be understood and explained through
- 1:02:55hadith, that verification process has got to be so
- 1:03:00flawless for us. When we like read hadith, we're
- 1:03:05like, yeah, but does not on verify that.
- 1:03:08And when we read something the Quran like here but do that
- 1:03:10little bit, expand on this. And you know, you know how
- 1:03:13shocked you'd be by some of the Hadith, how like direct, I'm not
- 1:03:17even joking. Like, you know, on face value,
- 1:03:19it may not even it may not seem that it is in in line, I mean,
- 1:03:23or exactly like the Quran. But when you like look at the
- 1:03:26words, it's like woven in the Quran.
- 1:03:28Like both are speaking and their and their sayings are woven in
- 1:03:31the Quran, like the same kind of linguistic use, the same kind of
- 1:03:35concepts. And when you read it, you're
- 1:03:38like, this is this is that verse.
- 1:03:40This is literally and he didn't mention it.
- 1:03:42He didn't say that this is that verse, but you will see it woven
- 1:03:45and and yeah. And just going back, even like
- 1:03:48when when I mentioned here that we are the only people that can
- 1:03:51access this, this is something that Rasulullah said.
- 1:03:54We believe in the full sermon of Ghadir.
- 1:03:57Rasulullah when he Ghadir, the whole point of Ghadir was that
- 1:04:00this individual I leave in Abib is going to be the one to
- 1:04:03explain it all to you. He's going to be able to he's
- 1:04:06going to be able to explain the Quran to you after me, right.
- 1:04:09So he even says in his in his Hutbah, he says that
- 1:04:14Maharashtra, right. He says all people follow the
- 1:04:17Quran, follow its clear verses and don't follow its unclear
- 1:04:20verses. Yeah.
- 1:04:21And then he said that like no one is going to be able to give
- 1:04:29you a steff seal except for the individual whose hand I take and
- 1:04:32I raise it with my. And then he says after the long
- 1:04:38kind of hutbah, he says at the end of it, this is Rasulullah
- 1:04:42passing on that responsibility of you, Ali mohmul kitabu al
- 1:04:45hekma. He says ini adbayentu la combo
- 1:04:49for ham to come. However, Ali Oni Fahim will come
- 1:04:51back. He says, I've done my bit, I've
- 1:04:54explained to you, I've given you understanding after me, Ali's
- 1:04:59going to give you understanding that that is the purpose of
- 1:05:01Ghadir. The whole purpose of Ghadir is
- 1:05:04not that we sit and we say, oh, Imam Ali was the Khalifa.
- 1:05:09Imam Ali should have been the Khalifa instead of this
- 1:05:12individual. The point is that this is the
- 1:05:14knowledge of Ali bin Abit Talib. This is the teachings of Ali bin
- 1:05:18Abit Talib. These are this is the
- 1:05:20characteristics of Ali bin Abit Talib that can't be matched by
- 1:05:22anybody else, and that those characteristics should be what
- 1:05:27we excel in and what our community should be the highest
- 1:05:30in. In the you should be know said
- 1:05:32this so optimizing and he's a Salawat.
- 1:05:39I love those points. So that's the intro, now we're
- 1:05:41going to move on to the main conversation.
- 1:05:44Smashed it bro. Thank you so much, I loved it.
- 1:05:47It's been a deep, deep, deep. We're going to miss, we're going
- 1:05:50to miss Muhammad Ali on on our Friday evening.
- 1:05:53Prophecies and so many more things to go through, but.
- 1:05:55Scratching the stuff for. The next year.
- 1:05:58Sharla. We definitely need the Part 2 or
- 1:06:00some stage in the coming weeks. I think it's.
- 1:06:02A good idea, Sharla. Man, hold on.
- 1:06:04You know what? You can never get it, can I?
- 1:06:05Just say yeah. And, and I just sorry, brother.
- 1:06:07Very, very, very, very, very last thing I'm gonna add.
- 1:06:10Yeah, at a time like now where everyone in the world is like
- 1:06:13really generally waking up on the wrong side of the bed.
- 1:06:16It feels like on a daily basis, we open our phone and we see
- 1:06:19something and it brings us down. We see the atrocities and
- 1:06:22Palestine and Lebanon and around the world at a time like now.
- 1:06:26That's why we need the Quran the most, honestly speaking.
- 1:06:29So for us to understand divine wisdom and justice of Lahama,
- 1:06:33for us to understand our place in this world, for us to
- 1:06:35understand how to move forward in the day, how to understand
- 1:06:38what's behind us in history and how to learn from it and what
- 1:06:41what is to come in the future, what is promised in the Quran
- 1:06:44and how to understand and grasp it and move towards work towards
- 1:06:47it. Like that's what answers are
- 1:06:49they? I mean, like it's there for us.
- 1:06:50And, you know, we Muslims now are feeling more spiritual than
- 1:06:54they were a year ago or a year and a half ago, let's say, but
- 1:06:58more confused in some regards. Like, what do I do now?
- 1:07:00Responsibility feels greater now on me.
- 1:07:03You know, we asked that question a couple weeks ago on the ball.
- 1:07:05We're like, yeah. Do you feel more religious than
- 1:07:07you did, like, October the 6th last year?
- 1:07:09People like, yeah, more religious, yeah.
- 1:07:12But are you more prepared for the imam?
- 1:07:14And 50% said, no, I'm feeling less prepared.
- 1:07:18So, you know, there we go. Like the Quran is there's an
- 1:07:20answer. It's not just, like reading, you
- 1:07:22know, those ones who's like, oh, yeah.
- 1:07:24But you have to know more about the imam only like, what's the
- 1:07:27imams I mentioned to you? The other.
- 1:07:28Yeah. What's the imam's favorite food,
- 1:07:30do you know, or not? But what's that gonna do?
- 1:07:33That's not gonna get you into three on three.
- 1:07:35Relax. Like.
- 1:07:36People are baffled. Man, like Allah's gonna like
- 1:07:39Allah sent this to us. That and mom's going to come and
- 1:07:42he's going to be like, have you not understood the Quran?
- 1:07:44It was, it was like when we had a mummy, he said, ask me, ask me
- 1:07:47before you lose me. And you know, the questions were
- 1:07:49like, how much hair is on my head then feels like this,
- 1:07:51right. I know I honestly, I think I
- 1:07:53echo everything that you said and it's important.
- 1:07:55And I think it's a reflection for myself.
- 1:07:57It's relevant now and extremely relevant, you know, given what
- 1:08:00we see happening around the world.
- 1:08:02And you know, you haven't. I just want to mention as a
- 1:08:04final point for me as well As for example, you referenced
- 1:08:07quite a bit, I think halfway towards the end in the
- 1:08:11second-half of the conversation, you referenced like being Shia,
- 1:08:15like it's the Quran's a point to us and you know, after mushroom
- 1:08:19we are Shia Muslim podcast. Yeah.
- 1:08:21Majority of our audience are from the school of the Halil
- 1:08:25Beta Alayhm Salaam as 3 sitting here and Charlotte away from the
- 1:08:29Shia valley. Ali has Salaam.
- 1:08:32And what are we without the Quran?
- 1:08:33You know, when you mentioned when you mentioned the point of
- 1:08:37FAQ Alain, we take that so lightly, but we need to always
- 1:08:40remind ourselves that as well. Allah, they didn't just say a
- 1:08:42little bait. He said Quran and a little bait,
- 1:08:45right? And we always hear the, the the
- 1:08:48hadith from the pulpits. You know, Ali om al Haqq and Ali
- 1:08:51is with the Quran and the Quran is with the Ali.
- 1:08:54What does that mean? That means there's.
- 1:08:57A whole nother lecture bro final.
- 1:09:02Point. What does that mean?
- 1:09:04My point on now bro myself a lot of discussion.
- 1:09:07Not because in his final point he mentioned that cemetery.
- 1:09:10And that's very important that they go.
- 1:09:11Symmetry. Yeah, symmetry.
- 1:09:12Symmetry. Sorry that they go hand in hand.
- 1:09:14Forgive this. Symmetry.
- 1:09:16But my point is if you're Shia, there's, if you want to say you
- 1:09:19are from the Shia, there's terms and conditions, whatever the
- 1:09:23main, what is the Quran, Sahi Yani, If we say, you know, we
- 1:09:27hold on to the Ellen baits, we commemorate them every year.
- 1:09:29We remember them every year. We remember their tragic
- 1:09:31martyrdom, their life lessons, but we neglect to remember what
- 1:09:37that they lived by, preached by and died by the Quran.
- 1:09:41Batman, Zahra Ali Salaam, some of us in the next few weeks will
- 1:09:43be commemorating her martyrdom. You know, after the horrific
- 1:09:46attack on her house, they bought the home, they broke her ribs.
- 1:09:51What did she do in the final moments of her life?
- 1:09:52She was reciting the Quran she told Emir and what we need to
- 1:09:55recite Quran at her grave, right?
- 1:09:58This, this is something I think we all need to picture and
- 1:10:02remember as Shia. Like if we want to be Muslims,
- 1:10:04no problem, everyone can be Muslim.
- 1:10:06There's no Shia who are Muslim mean as well.
- 1:10:07But there's a difference of being Mummanian and if we are
- 1:10:10from the Shiav Emir and Mummanian, that means we have to
- 1:10:13be more minion in my opinion. I speak to myself and that's my
- 1:10:17final point. Very good reminder, Mark.
- 1:10:19Just a quick one as well. Obviously you mentioned.
- 1:10:24You just go up the pulpit. Yeah, this is you just going up
- 1:10:27the pulpit. Yeah, Habib.
- 1:10:30Yeah, just a quick point to mention, like you mentioned, of
- 1:10:33course, with people being more prepared for kind of the end of
- 1:10:38times and, and things like that, I think, yeah, the the whole and
- 1:10:42things like that. I think there's a lot of
- 1:10:44individuals and myself included that, you know, it's these kinds
- 1:10:48of times that we feel more encouraged to like, you know,
- 1:10:52find out about the whole, read about the whole, understand the
- 1:10:54narrations about the whole and you see it happening.
- 1:10:58Like sometimes I'm on the YouTube analytics for after
- 1:11:00Maghrib and I'll go to the Jammar Nights podcast, right?
- 1:11:04And I'll see what's being watched right now.
- 1:11:06And anytime there's a major event in world affairs, I'll see
- 1:11:09the views popping up on three signs of Imam Mahdi, right?
- 1:11:13People are people are actually looking to see what is it.
- 1:11:17That's what's happening in the in the world right now.
- 1:11:19What is the Quran? What did the narration say?
- 1:11:22So this is an opportunity for everybody to get more acquainted
- 1:11:25and also not only to just watch it for the sake of being able to
- 1:11:30say, you know, we're approaching, you know, Afro
- 1:11:32Zaman, you know, we're in the end of time.
- 1:11:33Because I feel like that's something that's gone on like
- 1:11:36throughout the generations, you know, like, you know, you always
- 1:11:38have those old people coming to you and telling, you know, where
- 1:11:40afterwards. The man.
- 1:11:41Like they've been saying it for years, right?
- 1:11:46Yeah, but it's. Not every generation feels.
- 1:11:48Yeah, exactly, Exactly. But the the point is that it's
- 1:11:52not only that, that it's not just a conversation to have with
- 1:11:55people and say, oh, we're approaching the end of times.
- 1:11:57It's actually a warning. And it's one of the principles
- 1:12:01of Ahil Bait, which is Ayudhala Amani, Yeah, which is that they
- 1:12:05always want their shit to feel like they're under pressure,
- 1:12:08like they have to do something, right.
- 1:12:10And every kind of period of time, we'll have signs of the
- 1:12:13whole. Yes, right.
- 1:12:14So even if we're not in that time, the point is that we're
- 1:12:18supposed to actually take these kind of events in our life and
- 1:12:21take and make meaning from them, actually take action on them.
- 1:12:25So that's that is something that we can.
- 1:12:27Tell us all the signs that we didn't.
- 1:12:29That's another episode, no? Three episodes, yeah, we had
- 1:12:34three episodes about the whole and we had three episodes about
- 1:12:36Marafa as well. So those those are the what to
- 1:12:38go back to the. Pretext of the whole the fake
- 1:12:42scholars the size of Mahdi in Palestine that was those were 3
- 1:12:46EPS. Yeah, so the three episodes were
- 1:12:48actually what how actions re affect the reappearance.
- 1:12:53Yeah, Yeah, that's the first one and that's the.
- 1:12:55We'll add them in the description of the.
- 1:12:56Understand Mahdi 1. The Palestine in Mahdi one, but
- 1:13:00it also includes the signs of the Amani, the Polasani, the all
- 1:13:03of that. And those are actually the the
- 1:13:06Hasmi signs. Yeah.
- 1:13:07And then you have obviously the fake scholars and things like
- 1:13:09that leading up to basically that and the fit and basically
- 1:13:13in general all of the things that can distract you from the
- 1:13:15mission of the amount of time. So these are very good episodes
- 1:13:17to watch. So they are all.
- 1:13:18Good. So you can go back and listen to
- 1:13:20them. Sent them, sent them a sense.
- 1:13:22All right guys, thank you very much.
- 1:13:24I hope you've enjoyed it as much as we have Smashed the subscribe
- 1:13:26button, I said. Ali said.
- 1:13:29And stay tuned, we'll be back next week and show Allah for
- 1:13:33another smashing discussion. I hope you've enjoyed it and we
- 1:13:37will see you then. Beautiful.
