- 0:00Speaker 1: Jackson, how excited are you? Top 15 matchup to a
- 0:02Speaker 1: chance of the Saturday night. Super excited, man. It's going
- 0:06Speaker 1: to be, you know, it's going to be a great game. They're,
- 0:08Speaker 1: they're a heck of a team and, uh, it'll be
- 0:10Speaker 1: the best, best, uh, challenge we have so far. So, excited.
- 0:15Speaker 1: What kind of problems does their offense create for, for
- 0:18Speaker 1: defenses in the secondary especially? Um, you know, they got,
- 0:22Speaker 1: they got a good tight end. Uh, you know, I
- 0:25Speaker 1: think that can create some problems with sometimes with matchups. Uh, Honestly,
- 0:31Speaker 1: I feel confident with our secondary. I think they're just
- 0:35Speaker 1: a good team all around. Their line's good. Running back, quarterback, receivers,
- 0:39Speaker 1: they're just solid all around.
- 0:41Speaker 2: What was the biggest lesson learned against Colorado?
- 0:44Speaker 1: We just got to tighten a few things up within
- 0:48Speaker 1: our group. Props to them. They did make some awesome plays,
- 0:52Speaker 1: but I would say the majority of the points on
- 0:55Speaker 1: the board and big plays that were made were our fault.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Lack of communication or undisciplined football so you know while
- 1:04Speaker 1: they did do a good job i'd say mainly it
- 1:07Speaker 1: was on us so yeah it's it's it's just a
- 1:10Speaker 1: easy fix there um something we got to be more
- 1:13Speaker 1: conscious of and aware of and you know we'll be.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Fine you got to play a little bit more safety
- 1:18Speaker 2: last week just how did it feel kind of playing
- 1:20Speaker 2: middle field back there.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Yeah it was fun that was it was really fun
- 1:23Speaker 1: played a lot of safety don't get enough uh reps
- 1:26Speaker 1: back there so it's just fun i love being in
- 1:28Speaker 1: the post i love trying to work my range and,
- 1:31Speaker 1: and playing down in the box as well at strong.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And so, um, yeah, it was a blast.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Loved it. What'd you guys learn about yourself playing in
- 1:38Speaker 2: a close game for the first time this season, knowing that, uh,
- 1:41Speaker 2: second half of the season is probably giving me some
- 1:43Speaker 2: more close games like that. What'd you guys learn about yourself?
- 1:46Speaker 1: Um, you know, just to rally, rally together and, and, uh,
- 1:49Speaker 1: really just trust the kind of defense and offense as
- 1:53Speaker 1: well that, that we've been doing all year, you know,
- 1:56Speaker 1: just stick to our game and own our 20 square
- 1:58Speaker 1: feet and, because sometimes it's hard to get down on yourselves.
- 2:02Speaker 1: It can be frustrating. There's a lot of emotion in
- 2:05Speaker 1: the game, but just to try to stay level-headed and
- 2:08Speaker 1: do your thing is kind of what we were talking
- 2:11Speaker 1: about in those close points of the game.
- 2:15Speaker 2: You kind of talked about it with the tight ends
- 2:16Speaker 2: and matchups. You guys previously in years at Utah had 12,
- 2:21Speaker 2: 13 personnel. Does it make it easier for the game
- 2:23Speaker 2: plan knowing you guys somewhat know what to expect when
- 2:26Speaker 2: you have two tight ends out there?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I mean, we'll watch their film a little
- 2:33Speaker 1: bit more and see a little bit more what they're about. Yeah,
- 2:36Speaker 1: they run a little bit of 11, 12, 13 even personnel.
- 2:41Speaker 1: But we've seen it before, so it should be good.
- 2:46Speaker 1: When Isaac Wilson did the forward pass in the last game,
- 2:48Speaker 1: did you think it was lateral? What were you thinking? Nah,
- 2:51Speaker 1: it was forward. Especially because of arms that we had.
- 2:55Speaker 1: You know, it was the last game, I was like,
- 2:57Speaker 1: If ours was forward, that was for sure forward. I
- 2:59Speaker 1: will say, I think it's like tricky for them because
- 3:02Speaker 1: it seems backwards. You know, like he's running and it
- 3:05Speaker 1: looks like it's backwards because, you know, the guy catching
- 3:08Speaker 1: it is behind him. But, you know, if you were
- 3:10Speaker 1: to pitch it and stop, the ball would be going forward.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It's kind of tricky for them, but, yeah, I knew
- 3:16Speaker 1: it was forward.
