- 0:01Speaker 1: All start Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Plays get broken down and science gets denied to come
- 0:11Speaker 1: off the bitch. Hour two of Off the Bench Live
- 0:13Speaker 1: from the Raising Kine Studio.
- 0:49Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in nour number two v TV.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Here live from the Raising Kine Studio. We did it.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Everybody gets themselves a roundom falls who we went an
- 1:02Speaker 3: hour without talking coaching search.
- 1:05Speaker 4: So we're doing it now.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, we're doing it now.
- 1:08Speaker 3: But we did an hour, y'all, an.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Hour that has been Wayne playing.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Well, don't worry, I'm throwing it to Tata here because
- 1:18Speaker 3: TA updated the document here.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Matt Campbell potentially to Arkansas.
- 1:25Speaker 4: A lot of smoke on it yesterday.
- 1:27Speaker 5: A lot of the guys that are hosting radio shows
- 1:29Speaker 5: in the Little Rock area, we're throwing out that. Uh like,
- 1:32Speaker 5: there's a lot of smoke around Matt Campbell.
- 1:35Speaker 4: I think that would be a home run higher. I mean,
- 1:38Speaker 4: if I could find.
- 1:38Speaker 5: A D plus, it's Matt Campbell. He's been awesome at
- 1:43Speaker 5: Iowa State. I mean we talk about it every off season.
- 1:46Speaker 5: Is this the off season that Matt Campbell finally takes
- 1:48Speaker 5: a job, and I mean maybe it is. I mean,
- 1:51Speaker 5: if I'm Arkansas, I'm doing everything i can to make
- 1:54Speaker 5: this higher.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I think it'd be awesome there.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Matt Campbell's the head coach that I was stated, I
- 2:00Speaker 2: just look that up. Yeah, I saw his face. I agree,
- 2:06Speaker 2: Matt Campbell. No, but seriously, he won farm against Historically,
- 2:11Speaker 2: it's something like coach.
- 2:13Speaker 5: They only had one or two nine win seasons in
- 2:16Speaker 5: their program of history for Campbell got there. He's working
- 2:19Speaker 5: on number four potentially, so I mean he's been incredible.
- 2:23Speaker 3: There and he's been loyal. I mean he has been
- 2:28Speaker 3: super loyal to Iowa State. I mean he's been enough
- 2:31Speaker 3: for like NFL jobs and he stayed there. So look,
- 2:34Speaker 3: that would be a great one. But yesterday I'm sitting
- 2:37Speaker 3: there and I'm doing off campus, and I'm starting to
- 2:40Speaker 3: think about all the jobs that are open outside of
- 2:44Speaker 3: LSU and Florida, because those have been the loudest. I'm like,
- 2:48Speaker 3: you know, Arkansas has been kind of quiet, and I
- 2:50Speaker 3: started thinking about it's like, wait a minute, there's a
- 2:54Speaker 3: guy that honestly should probably be in the same conversation
- 2:58Speaker 3: as Lane Kiffin for some of these jobs that nobody's
- 3:02Speaker 3: talking about. He's a guy that has Arkansas ties because
- 3:06Speaker 3: he played quarterback from two thousand and two to two
- 3:09Speaker 3: thousand and four there, And that's Rhett Lashley at SMU.
- 3:15Speaker 3: RHTT Lashley's thirty seven and fifteen as a head coach
- 3:18Speaker 3: at SMU, he went seven and six, eleven and three,
- 3:22Speaker 3: eleven and three. In this year, he's eight and three,
- 3:27Speaker 3: but six and one in conference playing. Still has a
- 3:29Speaker 3: chance to make it to the ACC championship game and
- 3:32Speaker 3: if you win that, you go to the playoff. He
- 3:34Speaker 3: went to the playoff last year. He's twenty seven and
- 3:37Speaker 3: four in conference play as a head coach. Like, why
- 3:44Speaker 3: are we not talking about Rhett Lashley for some of
- 3:46Speaker 3: these jobs? And may let's let's take LSU out of it.
- 3:50Speaker 3: If I'm Arkansas and look s mu's got deep pockets,
- 3:53Speaker 3: we've all been to that campus. Island Park hard to SMU,
- 3:57Speaker 3: It'd be very hard to leave SMU. But for any job.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Rhtt lastyear played quarterback at Arkansas. He's from Springdale, Arkansas.
- 4:08Speaker 3: He coached at Arkansas like as soon as he basically
- 4:11Speaker 3: got done after he went to like Springdale, Arkansas high
- 4:14Speaker 3: school coaching for a little bit. I think Gus Malzama's
- 4:16Speaker 3: maybe the head coach at the time, and it goes
- 4:20Speaker 3: to Arkansas's a GA and he's been an offensive coordinator
- 4:25Speaker 3: at Sanford, Arkansas State, Auburn, Yukon, SMU, Miami thirty seven
- 4:30Speaker 3: and fifteen. You've got Arkansas ties. You led a team
- 4:33Speaker 3: to a playoff. If I'm the Razorbacks, I know it
- 4:37Speaker 3: would be hard, but I would try everything I could
- 4:39Speaker 3: to get rhet Lastly.
- 4:42Speaker 6: I mean the way you laid it out, Yeah, I
- 4:44Speaker 6: mean I don't. I hadn't heard his net at all
- 4:46Speaker 6: brought up anywhere, seen it.
- 4:49Speaker 5: A little for Florida early early on, he was like
- 4:52Speaker 5: one of the names brought up that outside of that now.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Right, I mean, I guess I don't know what is
- 4:58Speaker 6: what's his contract position right now, like because there's.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Good extension that long ago, but like there's.
- 5:03Speaker 6: Good coaches all over the country that aren't on any
- 5:05Speaker 6: of his list. And I'm assuming.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Because it's job security, it's contract security. I mean, he
- 5:10Speaker 2: just signed one like within this year. I think it
- 5:12Speaker 2: was a two year extension.
- 5:13Speaker 3: But again, like that doesn't really that doesn't, but it
- 5:17Speaker 3: doesn't speak in absolutes too.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I can't leave right through thirty.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not saying it wouldn't be expensive, but if
- 5:27Speaker 3: I'm already super expensive, Yeah, and I got the Walmart pockets.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I got a Walmart logo literally on my field.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Well, man, you know what, I'm all find a way.
- 5:36Speaker 6: Let's say the Walmart money probably is tied with the
- 5:40Speaker 6: s m U type money.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yeah, right, But he'd be a tough Really, I'm just saying, like, wait,
- 5:45Speaker 2: did this lastly, fella? He actually play?
- 5:48Speaker 7: No?
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah, So okay, it's so funny when you no. I mean,
- 5:56Speaker 3: would you like, would you be mad? Matt Jones was
- 5:58Speaker 3: a unicorn. J I didn't I wouldn't have a lot
- 6:02Speaker 3: of loyalty. I don't know what about you if you
- 6:06Speaker 3: didn't play, I don't know. I don't know, I wouldn't
- 6:09Speaker 3: wouldn't know.
- 6:09Speaker 4: He's also from the state of markets All too. I
- 6:12Speaker 4: think that doesn't matter a little bit.
- 6:13Speaker 5: So like it was probably one of those things where it's, yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 5: I couldn't beat out mass.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Backing coaches at GA there. Maybe he grew up as
- 6:18Speaker 2: an Arkansas State fan.
- 6:21Speaker 4: You're gonna leave SMU for Arkansas State?
- 6:23Speaker 2: No, not leaving I'm not. There's not many places I
- 6:25Speaker 2: would leave SMU.
- 6:26Speaker 3: For you got a little biased because it's pretty close
- 6:30Speaker 3: to your hometown. Yeah, but I'll back you up because
- 6:33Speaker 3: here comes the chat. Oh you're from Dallas anyway. It's
- 6:36Speaker 3: an incredible area.
- 6:37Speaker 2: It is an incredible area. It's like all the money you.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Want, and those people want to be good at football,
- 6:43Speaker 3: real bad. And they were like better at NIL than
- 6:46Speaker 3: anybody before. Nil was the e thing like forty years ago,
- 6:49Speaker 3: so they already have proven that they can do it.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Well.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I'm just saying like, I'm surprised we haven't
- 6:54Speaker 3: heard I agree with you.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I would.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I would assume that his resume is better than some
- 7:00Speaker 3: people's that everybody's trying to get Lane.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I mean, I think it's comfortable.
- 7:06Speaker 3: It's hard because he made the playoff and out of
- 7:08Speaker 3: the a c C. I think o'll miss one obviously,
- 7:11Speaker 3: out of the SEC's. I'm saying like he's got a
- 7:13Speaker 3: great resume. I mean, twenty seven and four in conference play.
- 7:17Speaker 5: He's been a good coordinator in a bunch of spots too.
- 7:20Speaker 5: Think it's not just SB has failed less than Lane.
- 7:23Speaker 3: I'll say that, Yeah, probably Lane had at least moments
- 7:28Speaker 3: everywhere he was outside of Oakland, and I don't think
- 7:32Speaker 3: outside of Vince Lombardi, anybody could have won in Oakland
- 7:36Speaker 3: during that time.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Vince would win. I don't think anybody was. It was bad.
- 7:40Speaker 2: It was bad bad. I mean I played against him
- 7:43Speaker 2: twice a year.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Is bad Latham really like completely. I mean, anywhere he was,
- 7:50Speaker 3: you can find big moments, big wins, like Tennessee has,
- 7:53Speaker 3: like maybe Georgia even.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Had some big wins.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Usc So Oakland, Yeah, yeah, Raiders, Mulligan, I give him mulligan,
- 8:05Speaker 3: anybody that played there or coach there during that time.
- 8:07Speaker 3: That's my big concern with wild Lane. That's what I
- 8:10Speaker 3: wasn't concerned wild Lane is how much.
- 8:12Speaker 2: He moves is he is? He's an habitual itch scratcher.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Okay, right, I agree, But he's been an old mess
- 8:18Speaker 3: for six If you get six years out of Lane, Kiff,
- 8:21Speaker 3: I get that.
- 8:22Speaker 2: I get. That's that's plenty. That that's the major going.
- 8:25Speaker 6: That's the only thing that the only thing out of anybody,
- 8:27Speaker 6: I don't know, I'm not I would never be worried
- 8:29Speaker 6: about him leaving to another school. I would be worried
- 8:32Speaker 6: about him. Seeing man. One time I failed, right, was
- 8:36Speaker 6: in the NFL.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, you're saying, like like when Saban left, he
- 8:41Speaker 2: need I need to write that.
- 8:42Speaker 3: I have to have to. But you're right, like six
- 8:44Speaker 3: years with a like coach is I'll tell you hell
- 8:48Speaker 3: I am. I've always you know, since it started, I
- 8:52Speaker 3: always if Lane's the coach, I've been excited, no question
- 8:56Speaker 3: about it.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I think he's a great football coach. Uh.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I get giddy watching that guy set up an offensive drive.
- 9:03Speaker 3: It's it's awesome, it's great, it's poetry emotion. After having
- 9:06Speaker 3: to watch l s U versus Western Kentucky and I'm
- 9:10Speaker 3: not trying to be funny, but the way that we
- 9:11Speaker 3: set offensive football back years, I've never won a link
- 9:16Speaker 3: if in more, after watching that game, that was hard
- 9:20Speaker 3: for me as an offensive player to sit there and
- 9:22Speaker 3: watch and go through and call. It was frustrating to
- 9:27Speaker 3: say the least.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Jake, you know how much I love watching film. Yeah,
- 9:30Speaker 2: I love it. I love watching film. I can watch
- 9:31Speaker 2: it all day long.
- 9:32Speaker 3: I can due outside of your family and card breaks.
- 9:36Speaker 6: I think it's your third most love thing. I love
- 9:37Speaker 6: it and I couldn't. I didn't watch halfway into the
- 9:41Speaker 6: third quarter because like I got the.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Heb gus yeah, I don't mind saying it was the
- 9:48Speaker 3: toughest game I've ever had to sit there and call
- 9:50Speaker 3: how many pencils you break? I went to penns because
- 9:54Speaker 3: I knew the pencils would be a bad idea, don't
- 9:56Speaker 3: break pins. But like my move, my move was like
- 10:00Speaker 3: put it right here and see how I'm like squeezing
- 10:02Speaker 3: the top, like this sum's going this way, the middle
- 10:04Speaker 3: figures going down. Just continue like just doing that, just
- 10:08Speaker 3: doing that, singers like.
- 10:10Speaker 2: The camera doesn't even do it justice. You got to
- 10:12Speaker 2: see these things like so mad.
- 10:14Speaker 4: It looks like he's holding a crayon. It really does ya.
- 10:16Speaker 7: I didn't even watch the full game. I started playing
- 10:18Speaker 7: Candy Crush and you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Know what, and also Candy Crush.
- 10:24Speaker 3: And I'll give I'll give my guy, Chris Blair. I'm
- 10:27Speaker 3: gonna give our voice to the Tigers a lot of credit.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Like he gives me a lot of freedom, yea, the
- 10:31Speaker 3: kind of say what I see And it was frustrating
- 10:35Speaker 3: and like he was allowing me to kind of dive
- 10:38Speaker 3: into it a little bit.
- 10:39Speaker 2: So I appreciate that.
- 10:40Speaker 6: And I don't think anybody in that building over there
- 10:42Speaker 6: either would say anything. No, right, like there's no way
- 10:44Speaker 6: they could. Yeah, there's no way they can. And I
- 10:47Speaker 6: got I think all the truths that.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We went straight passes and not having a running back
- 10:51Speaker 3: carry the ball against the one hundred and eighth ranked
- 10:54Speaker 3: rush defense.
- 10:55Speaker 2: No, there's nobody to be like, you know, it's a
- 10:57Speaker 2: good playing and like you.
- 10:59Speaker 6: Can watch said And the reason why I like to
- 11:01Speaker 6: watch film is because you're watching scheme, you're watching individual matchups,
- 11:04Speaker 6: You're you're watching two cord, you're watching a chess match
- 11:07Speaker 6: between two different coordinators try to trick each other, try
- 11:10Speaker 6: to fool each other, try to disguise things, and then
- 11:13Speaker 6: you get to see people kicking each other's ass like
- 11:15Speaker 6: that's like it's it's beautiful.
- 11:17Speaker 2: It's a beautiful sport. And then you watch it.
- 11:20Speaker 6: This is one of those films you can't watch it
- 11:22Speaker 6: be like, man, we left so much out there because
- 11:24Speaker 6: we didn't leave anything out there, like there wasn't anything
- 11:27Speaker 6: out there to be made, like the the schematically, it's
- 11:30Speaker 6: just it's just it's just flawed.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Sometimes I do forget shout up to Chris in the
- 11:35Speaker 3: by Ford chat. I forget that we're on camera in
- 11:39Speaker 3: the booth.
- 11:40Speaker 7: Oh yeah, I forget that too.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Are you really were on camera?
- 11:44Speaker 4: Yeah, inside the booth.
- 11:45Speaker 3: I have some J Cutler level bad body language because
- 11:49Speaker 3: I forget that the camera's on. So Chris said, yeah, Jake,
- 11:53Speaker 3: we could tell on the YouTube stream.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Yeah we got we got your brother, don't yet.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I forget sometimes what game was it that might have
- 12:01Speaker 3: been old miss maybe Vanderbilt man I gave. I gave
- 12:04Speaker 3: a good old like through my pencil like this, you know,
- 12:07Speaker 3: just kind of like tossed it like in frustration, and
- 12:09Speaker 3: then like good like hard open hand slam on the desk.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Sorry about that YouTube stream, and then.
- 12:17Speaker 6: Like you're writing your game notes down and it's just
- 12:19Speaker 6: like four letter word after four letter word.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Were you were you a real a real hand hit
- 12:24Speaker 5: the table mad or were you like a Brian Kelly No,
- 12:27Speaker 5: I was hissed by the way.
- 12:30Speaker 7: You know, LSU is making it hard for Brian Kelly
- 12:33Speaker 7: to get another job.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Bro that I did that.
- 12:37Speaker 7: I just don't realize what he feels like. He's Oh,
- 12:44Speaker 7: I guess.
- 12:46Speaker 4: From a loser to a weekend winner.
- 12:48Speaker 7: You winter what because you still went out.
- 12:51Speaker 3: There and made that about it, which I mean, I'm
- 12:53Speaker 3: not trying to be fun. I wonder which job that's
- 12:55Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 12:56Speaker 7: I just don't even feel like maybe.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Because right now Penn State all they want.
- 13:00Speaker 7: The same person, but older.
- 13:02Speaker 6: He is contractually obligated if he is terminated to do
- 13:07Speaker 6: his due diligence and in good faith try to seek
- 13:09Speaker 6: another job. And they're trying to posture and say, I
- 13:12Speaker 6: can't do that because you're not telling me.
- 13:14Speaker 2: What is happening. Right LU isn't the wrong. LSU's in
- 13:17Speaker 2: the wrong on this.
- 13:18Speaker 7: No, for sure, But it's also just lawyers being lawyers.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Yeah, it's lawyers being lawyers right now. But he has
- 13:23Speaker 6: to go try to find another job in good faith. Now,
- 13:26Speaker 6: who's gonna what metric are they determining? Like in good faith?
- 13:30Speaker 6: Y're like, he's actually trying to do it, but he's saying,
- 13:34Speaker 6: I can't do that. You want me to go find
- 13:36Speaker 6: another job, can't do it? So you're telling me I'm fired,
- 13:38Speaker 6: but I'm not fired.
- 13:39Speaker 7: They officially fired him last or yeah, last week on Friday.
- 13:43Speaker 2: But with cause or just because.
- 13:46Speaker 7: Just because they don't like him.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Because they don't like.
- 13:48Speaker 7: Him because he was losing.
- 13:50Speaker 4: You were talking about what job he cause?
- 13:54Speaker 7: To answer your question, I.
- 13:55Speaker 5: Don't know why this is just this has happened since
- 13:59Speaker 5: the day Brian Kelly got fired at LSU, the fake
- 14:02Speaker 5: firing the Sunday.
- 14:06Speaker 4: He keeps getting connected to Michigan State.
- 14:08Speaker 5: Everyone keeps saying in national circles, if Michigan State opens up,
- 14:12Speaker 5: Brian Kelly will take that job. He apparently likes that job.
- 14:15Speaker 5: They are three and eight right now under Jonathan Smith,
- 14:19Speaker 5: not looking like they're gonna go anywhere anytime soon. So
- 14:21Speaker 5: if that job comes open, every single person I've heard
- 14:24Speaker 5: mentioned that job, first name out of their mouth has
- 14:26Speaker 5: been Brian Kelly.
- 14:27Speaker 6: For whatever reason, did it look like Brian Kelly wanted
- 14:30Speaker 6: to continue coaching, did not.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Hold key.
- 14:36Speaker 7: That's what I told like, That's what I said after like,
- 14:38Speaker 7: he's trying to get that full amount because if I
- 14:40Speaker 7: were him, like I would just retire with that full amount.
- 14:43Speaker 4: Was he sixty four?
- 14:44Speaker 3: Now, these coaches are built way different than.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You and I.
- 14:47Speaker 7: I just don't know if Brian Kelly's built that way though, right, No, No,
- 14:50Speaker 7: to your point, I'm like, so I do radio with
- 14:53Speaker 7: Jimbo every single Tuesday.
- 14:55Speaker 3: That man has accomplished everything you can accomplish, got a
- 14:58Speaker 3: national championship as an assist and a head coach. He
- 15:01Speaker 3: got seventy something million dollars. When I say that man
- 15:04Speaker 3: wants to coach so bad. Yeah, so now he's not
- 15:07Speaker 3: gonna take any job, but like he wants to coach,
- 15:10Speaker 3: like he's got an itch and he's like, man, I
- 15:12Speaker 3: just like there's things that I know now that I
- 15:16Speaker 3: want to do with some of the things that have
- 15:18Speaker 3: changed in college football. He's like, I promise you, I've
- 15:21Speaker 3: got a plan in place, and like I'm like sitting
- 15:23Speaker 3: there thinking, like, coach, you've done every like you've gotten.
- 15:26Speaker 2: To the top of the mountain, right, You've.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Got seventy something Mean, this man loves to be outdoors, hunting, fishing.
- 15:33Speaker 3: There's a lot of people that would just go do
- 15:34Speaker 3: that forever. But he just there's something like he's a coach.
- 15:39Speaker 3: There's something that like his fathers him that he wants
- 15:42Speaker 3: to and Jimbo's like and for Jimbo's resume, Jimbo's one
- 15:45Speaker 3: hundred and twenty eight and forty eight as a head coach.
- 15:48Speaker 3: He was forty five and twenty five at an m Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 3: twenty seven and twenty one in sec play. Now this
- 15:54Speaker 3: is not for here, so please don't go to Tiger
- 15:57Speaker 3: droppings and Secester's trying to get Jimbo at l shoot
- 15:59Speaker 3: and not trying to get that at all. It wouldn't
- 16:01Speaker 3: be the right move for anybody. But there's a lot
- 16:05Speaker 3: of jobs that are open right now and all these
- 16:08Speaker 3: candidates that people are talking about. Jimbo's resume is ten
- 16:12Speaker 3: times what James Franklin's is as far as actually winning something,
- 16:17Speaker 3: it's just conference championships, national championships.
- 16:21Speaker 2: It's just so.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Funny, like people Vinia text running to hire James Franklin
- 16:26Speaker 3: and Jimo was just sitting over there wanting to coach,
- 16:28Speaker 3: and so coaching searches like to me, is like a
- 16:30Speaker 3: lot of them don't make a lot of sense.
- 16:32Speaker 7: While I understand that, I actually like I can get that.
- 16:36Speaker 7: Brian Kelly was like taking vacations during by week, So
- 16:39Speaker 7: I just, oh, he's built the same as a Jimbo
- 16:41Speaker 7: Fisher or like a James Franklin.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Came and Jimbo would never be distant cousins to each
- 16:48Speaker 3: other and how they go about their business.
- 16:51Speaker 5: Well, then think about James Franklin. He went on game
- 16:53Speaker 5: day literally like four days after he was fired. He said,
- 16:56Speaker 5: we're gonna win somewhere else he walked away from forty
- 16:58Speaker 5: million dollars last weekend, like he was owed forty nine million.
- 17:01Speaker 2: He's no. O nine million because.
- 17:03Speaker 5: He wanted to bet on himself at Virginia Tech. So
- 17:05Speaker 5: like to y'all's point, yeah, a lot of coaches are
- 17:07Speaker 5: built like that. But when Kelly got that big contract,
- 17:10Speaker 5: he just seemed like he was like, Hey, it's LSU.
- 17:13Speaker 5: The last three coaches here have won national championships. I
- 17:15Speaker 5: got a cushy deal. I can just cruise my way
- 17:17Speaker 5: to win it. I think he wanted to win. Everybody
- 17:20Speaker 5: wants to win. I don't think he did the things
- 17:22Speaker 5: necessary in order to win.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Now.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I might be in the minority here, and y'all can
- 17:27Speaker 6: y'all can tell me if I am, and in the chat,
- 17:30Speaker 6: please tell me if I'm wrong or if y'all disagree
- 17:32Speaker 6: with me. LSU, he's a pay that man his buyout
- 17:38Speaker 6: and get rid of it. Yes, they need you fired
- 17:41Speaker 6: him because he lost the football. Yes, okay, you might
- 17:45Speaker 6: have other things on him. I don't know what you got.
- 17:46Speaker 6: You apparently you think he got something that's not why
- 17:49Speaker 6: you fired him. They might have like all added up
- 17:52Speaker 6: and you put it in the cookie jar and it
- 17:54Speaker 6: like it.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Was part of it.
- 17:56Speaker 6: But you you fired him because you know he lost
- 17:58Speaker 6: the football. Pay that man what you signed up for
- 18:02Speaker 6: and be done with it LSU, like Brian Kelly did.
- 18:06Speaker 6: So I'm glad he's gone as a head coach. He
- 18:07Speaker 6: did a lot of cringey things like I did a
- 18:09Speaker 6: lot of things that that came out after the firing
- 18:12Speaker 6: that I'm I'm glad it's over with. Glad that experiment
- 18:15Speaker 6: is done and onto the next next thing. I get it.
- 18:18Speaker 6: But you signed a contract with him. Pay the man
- 18:20Speaker 6: that money, yeah, and move on.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I got it.
- 18:24Speaker 6: I hate that he gets it, but like it's a
- 18:27Speaker 6: contracted place. I don't try to get around it. I
- 18:30Speaker 6: think it's dumb.
- 18:31Speaker 7: I'm with you.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Obviously they think they got something. But like this whole
- 18:36Speaker 6: oh we didn't fire you wasn't official, blah blah blah.
- 18:39Speaker 7: Yeah, especially in the break, but nobody appreciates optics anymore.
- 18:45Speaker 4: Just it looks really right.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Look, I don't care what you try to spend. Then
- 18:49Speaker 2: maybe they do.
- 18:50Speaker 6: I don't. I don't know. I'm not a not an attorney.
- 18:55Speaker 6: But you fired him because he wasn't good at being
- 19:00Speaker 6: head football coach for LSU. Nothing else is the reason
- 19:04Speaker 6: we find him, because I promise you if he was winning,
- 19:09Speaker 6: they'd overlook anything you do, not anything.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I take that back, but a lot.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Whatever, no, whatever it is to get past this and
- 19:23Speaker 3: to move forward, Taylor, I see that clock.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Brouh like whatever that is. I'm with you, like, get
- 19:32Speaker 2: it done, Like you need to move on.
- 19:34Speaker 3: You don't need to be like in the headlines today
- 19:36Speaker 3: on ESPN dot com, it's yet again, it's another story
- 19:39Speaker 3: about another turn in this coaching search and how it's
- 19:43Speaker 3: all played out.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I'm with you, like whatever whatever, moving on looks like
- 19:47Speaker 2: do it? Yeah, I mean, get it done. Already offered
- 19:51Speaker 2: him thirty million. It's like admission of guilt there.
- 19:54Speaker 3: It's the least like right now, the top headlines ESPN
- 19:57Speaker 3: dot com attorneys LSU, Sawga hindering Kelly Job.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Can you see just paying the man money?
- 20:03Speaker 3: Apparently you got it, all right, Taylor, take a break
- 20:09Speaker 3: more OTV when we come back.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 20:12Speaker 2: All right, Go to go Tommy.
- 20:15Speaker 3: G E A u X Tommy's wothwy dot com. When
- 20:19Speaker 3: you go to the website, you'll clearly see the difference

- 20:29Speaker 3: with Tommy and the team. You're also going to see
- 20:32Speaker 3: the awards that they stack year after year after year.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Twenty twenty five Advocate Best Windows that went to Tommy's Windows,
- 20:40Speaker 3: doors and Siding, and I mean incredible, incredible people. Tommy
- 20:44Speaker 3: remember the Golden Band from Tiger Land. That's what brought
- 20:46Speaker 3: him here to Baton Rouge. He is Lshue in Louisiana,
- 20:49Speaker 3: through and through. Go Tommy dot com, did you play neck?
- 20:52Speaker 2: Probably? Probably not a big deal. Uh yeah.
- 20:55Speaker 6: So if you have a project happening, whether it's a
- 20:56Speaker 6: little renovation, maybe you're building a home, maybe you just
- 20:58Speaker 6: have to replace a couple of things, make sure Tommy's
- 21:01Speaker 6: is one of those contracts you called to just to
- 21:03Speaker 6: talk about the project. Let him see the expertise, let
- 21:05Speaker 6: him give you a pricing, let him show you why.
- 21:07Speaker 6: He's Angie's Lift Super Service Award winner every year since
- 21:10Speaker 6: twenty sixteen. So reliable, integrity and effiction, right there, go, Tommy.
- 21:15Speaker 8: Dot com blocked in on LSU Football twenty four to seven.
- 21:35Speaker 1: You're listening to Off the Bench.
- 21:41Speaker 3: All right, welcome back in OTB. Kill me up on
- 21:46Speaker 3: the next segment OTB mailbags, So go ahead and get
- 21:50Speaker 3: your questions inside to buy you for chat.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I just I saw this headline right here on this triday.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I didn't know Joe Burt set the story. Yeah, versus
- 21:59Speaker 2: the Raven and let's go Thanksgiving. Let's go. So he's
- 22:02Speaker 2: a little turkey, watch a little Joe Burrow. I think
- 22:05Speaker 2: that's the late game too, right, Yeah, so.
- 22:09Speaker 5: It goes Lions, Packers, Cowboys, Chiefs, Ingles, Raven.
- 22:12Speaker 3: It's pretty good, pretty little slate for Thanksgiving.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Records not great, but they're getting Joe Burrow back. Super
- 22:23Speaker 2: fun for us. Yeah, friends and family, friends and family game.
- 22:29Speaker 2: All right.
- 22:29Speaker 3: I do want to continue some of this coaching search
- 22:32Speaker 3: talk and again like we haven't dived really an l shoe,
- 22:35Speaker 3: Like I just want to look at it from everyone's perspective,
- 22:39Speaker 3: because we talked about you know, Matt Campbell potentially being
- 22:41Speaker 3: a candidate at Arkansas. Wise lastly not a candidate at Arkansas.
- 22:45Speaker 3: We talked about LSU. Just hey, finally moving on whatever
- 22:47Speaker 3: it takes from Brian Kelly, get that over with. So
- 22:51Speaker 3: you know, he can go look for a job and
- 22:52Speaker 3: you can hire your new head coach, and that can
- 22:55Speaker 3: be that for Penn State. Hey, Eli Drinkwood's Brian day Ball.
- 23:01Speaker 3: A couple of names here, maybe Pat Fitzgerald, which would
- 23:03Speaker 3: actually be a great hire book.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Throughout Pat Fitzgerald.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Yesterday, Booker McFarlane said, look, this is a guy that's
- 23:09Speaker 5: had a lot of success.
- 23:10Speaker 4: Here and a lot with a little and that was
- 23:13Speaker 4: his point.
- 23:14Speaker 5: He's like he had success in the Big Ten at
- 23:16Speaker 5: Northwestern higher Pats Fitzgerald.
- 23:20Speaker 4: Brian Dable is the name they keep bringing up. That's
- 23:23Speaker 4: the choice.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know that I go that way. I just.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I want somebody who's been a college head coach, just
- 23:30Speaker 3: personally what I think the game is completely completely different
- 23:40Speaker 3: than when Brian da Ball was an offensive coordinator for
- 23:42Speaker 3: a little bit at Alabama. I think college coaches are
- 23:46Speaker 3: college coaches, NFL coaches or NFL coaches. The fact that
- 23:49Speaker 3: we can kind of own one hand tell you the
- 23:51Speaker 3: ones that have had success in both.
- 23:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I think going to college to the NFL is
- 24:00Speaker 6: much more difficult than the other way around.
- 24:02Speaker 3: The greatest college, our greatest approach that we've ever seen
- 24:06Speaker 3: in the NFL struggle.
- 24:07Speaker 2: He's also gone off the deep end.
- 24:10Speaker 6: So I mean he's at a he's at an adult
- 24:15Speaker 6: cheerleader event, which, okay, I'll see that team that she
- 24:20Speaker 6: is one way?
- 24:21Speaker 7: Are we talking about Jordan's And.
- 24:22Speaker 5: Yes, it's like thirty five year old men competing in
- 24:26Speaker 5: a competition.
- 24:27Speaker 4: The team in front of them were like eighteen.
- 24:31Speaker 3: H Yeah that so let's not teach their own active
- 24:39Speaker 3: to each their own.
- 24:41Speaker 7: That's like people playing intramural softball. Like I don't really
- 24:44Speaker 7: have an issue with.
- 24:45Speaker 3: That, but but like if I'm playing in a real softball,
- 24:49Speaker 3: I don't think Katie's coming to watch.
- 24:51Speaker 7: That's fair.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, no, and Katie's not fifty years older than it's true.
- 24:57Speaker 7: That is also true?
- 24:58Speaker 2: True?
- 25:00Speaker 7: See that? Also, wait, is this what you were talking about?
- 25:02Speaker 7: The girl the sister in law or Bill Belichick's daughter
- 25:07Speaker 7: in law like went off on her appearance.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I did not know, Yeah, I did not.
- 25:14Speaker 7: And she's like saying that she's she's saying that she's
- 25:16Speaker 7: assuming Pablo Tory.
- 25:18Speaker 2: I did see that. He does talk about it, Belichick thing.
- 25:22Speaker 2: It is weird. He talks about them a lot.
- 25:24Speaker 7: He talks about them, and just like I don't.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Know, I don't.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I don't only clips I ever see because I don't
- 25:30Speaker 3: follow him or anything, but it finds this way to
- 25:32Speaker 3: me is him talking about Belichick.
- 25:34Speaker 7: What was really weird was when he found her in
- 25:36Speaker 7: the stands at a game and like years ago, like
- 25:39Speaker 7: five years ago or something like that, and it was
- 25:41Speaker 7: like the panoramic of all the fans in the entire
- 25:45Speaker 7: stadium and he found Jordan's It's weird. Wow, it's creepy,
- 25:48Speaker 7: a little bit like a little too obsessed.
- 25:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I just, like I said, Pablo calmed down every
- 25:53Speaker 3: time that I see him. That's what he's talking about.
- 25:55Speaker 3: So well, we got to destride her there.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah. Sorry, it's funny. Look when you look at the picture,
- 26:01Speaker 4: these guys are in their mid thirties.
- 26:05Speaker 2: Mid thirties.
- 26:06Speaker 3: My guy on the right top right, he's he's with me,
- 26:10Speaker 3: he's my Gundy at least, and then like he's a man,
- 26:13Speaker 3: he's forty.
- 26:13Speaker 5: The girls in the pink bows look like significantly younger.
- 26:17Speaker 2: And then they're like some videos, it looks like they
- 26:19Speaker 2: are pretty good. They're doing some moves. Sure they're good
- 26:23Speaker 2: out there.
- 26:23Speaker 6: If you're not Bill Belichick was there watching his girlfriend anyway.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Weird like, so Squag I destribed it.
- 26:30Speaker 6: So what I was trying to say was it, I
- 26:32Speaker 6: think it's easier to go from NFL to college and
- 26:33Speaker 6: college the NFL. Because let's take Bill Belichick aside, that's
- 26:39Speaker 6: an outlier. He was bad in the NFL after in
- 26:43Speaker 6: the last couple of years. And but if you took
- 26:45Speaker 6: a innovative offensive mind or defensive mind in the NFL,
- 26:50Speaker 6: what schematically, what people do in the NFL is ten
- 26:53Speaker 6: times better than what they do in college. The game,
- 26:55Speaker 6: NFL football game is a better product than college football. Now,
- 26:58Speaker 6: I know people love college football, but I'm just saying
- 27:00Speaker 6: from a x's and o's performance standpoint, it's better.
- 27:05Speaker 2: So I look around.
- 27:06Speaker 6: The college football landscape and all the offenses being run,
- 27:11Speaker 6: and I see a lot of clapp counts. I see
- 27:12Speaker 6: a lot of fake claps. You don't see that in
- 27:14Speaker 6: the NFL. You see real you see real football. You
- 27:17Speaker 6: see guys get un to the center. You see balanced attacks.
- 27:21Speaker 6: If you took a someone like Ben Johnson or Kyle
- 27:23Speaker 6: Shanahan or Josh McDaniels, if you took them and you
- 27:28Speaker 6: took an offensive mind, let's say, well, that only works
- 27:31Speaker 6: in one spot, right, I got it. You take them
- 27:33Speaker 6: and you put them into a talented team with a
- 27:37Speaker 6: lot of talent, They're going to destroy teams with those
- 27:40Speaker 6: offensive schemes.
- 27:41Speaker 3: Like college, could a college play this is me just
- 27:44Speaker 3: I don't it's rhetorical. Could a college get pick up
- 27:47Speaker 3: their schemes?
- 27:48Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure, could they pick it up. Yeah. I mean.
- 27:55Speaker 3: You gotta teach it the right way. And maybe it's
- 27:57Speaker 3: a little bit dumb down, but like.
- 27:59Speaker 6: I, I go, and I was doing this before before
- 28:03Speaker 6: the show, and at some point during the this show,
- 28:05Speaker 6: I'd like to get to it.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I was looking up the passing charts of LSU yep.
- 28:10Speaker 6: And looking at how how few times they throwed over
- 28:13Speaker 6: the middle, and then I was looking at like, who
- 28:15Speaker 6: I think are some of the top offensive mines and
- 28:18Speaker 6: offenses in the NFL and looking at their passing chart,
- 28:20Speaker 6: and I'd like to just kind of go through that
- 28:22Speaker 6: website at some point today and just like click through
- 28:25Speaker 6: different weeks of the year, different teams and LSU different
- 28:28Speaker 6: weeks of the year, and just and show you.
- 28:29Speaker 2: And that's all because it's it's scheme.
- 28:33Speaker 6: There's not a lot of there's not a lot of
- 28:36Speaker 6: top tier college teams that are going under center.
- 28:39Speaker 2: These days, it's even on.
- 28:42Speaker 6: The one line, even on the one yard line in
- 28:45Speaker 6: the NFL is probably doing it more now than they
- 28:48Speaker 6: were doing it ten years ago, more consistently in the
- 28:51Speaker 6: best offenses. So I'd like to take a look at it,
- 28:54Speaker 6: to look at that passing chart. But I think if
- 28:56Speaker 6: you took someone that's like currently like in their prime
- 28:58Speaker 6: as coaching and had a good offensive mine or defensive mind,
- 29:02Speaker 6: and you put them at the college level and you
- 29:05Speaker 6: implemented that instead of the you know, copy and paste,
- 29:08Speaker 6: clap count type offenses that you see around college football
- 29:11Speaker 6: right now, then I think it'd be a difference.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Man.
- 29:15Speaker 6: I was even looking at some of the top offenses
- 29:16Speaker 6: in college, like, there's not a ton of offenses attack
- 29:20Speaker 6: in the middle of the field, which is wild to me.
- 29:25Speaker 2: In college.
- 29:26Speaker 6: Maybe that's why you're starting to see a lot of
- 29:28Speaker 6: really good defenses emerge in college football.
- 29:31Speaker 3: In college to not attack the middle of the field,
- 29:34Speaker 3: it is the Grand Canyon college with how far the hash.
- 29:38Speaker 6: Linebackers and safeties just don't understand their role well enough
- 29:42Speaker 6: to cover the full middle of the field. And you're like, well,
- 29:45Speaker 6: it's such a tight area. Well, no, it's not No,
- 29:48Speaker 6: you got so many different levels. There's so much more
- 29:51Speaker 6: windows and levels that you can attack as opposed to outside.
- 29:55Speaker 6: Because the ball's in the air less time, it's easier
- 29:58Speaker 6: to throw to the quarterback.
- 29:58Speaker 2: You can see it better. M hm.
- 30:04Speaker 3: He know its being really quiet on all this coaching
- 30:07Speaker 3: search front the Auburn Tigers, and they're typically loud.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Quiet.
- 30:14Speaker 3: We're pretty loud over here, pretty loud over here.
- 30:18Speaker 2: In Bouton Rouge. But Auburn's typically loud.
- 30:23Speaker 3: They were trying to hire Lane Kiffing like two years ago,
- 30:27Speaker 3: and you know, Kiffin was there till the finish line
- 30:29Speaker 3: sat to say it old miss, and that's when they
- 30:30Speaker 3: go with Hugh Freeze.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Not a lot coming from the planes right now.
- 30:38Speaker 3: I think it's actually a good thing for them, because,
- 30:40Speaker 3: like I said, they've messed it up when they've been loud.
- 30:46Speaker 4: M John Summer on to Auburn seems to be the
- 30:51Speaker 4: popular choice right now.
- 30:53Speaker 2: Oh.
- 30:53Speaker 6: Someone makes a great point, mister Brown Williams in the
- 30:56Speaker 6: chat here to your he's arguing with you, Jake, saying
- 30:59Speaker 6: you need head coaching experience, which I don't believe that
- 31:02Speaker 6: you do. Kirby Smart, Dan Lenning and Ryan Day Clark Lee,
- 31:05Speaker 6: Marcus Frieven, Davis, Swainey, Dillingham. I mean everybody was a
- 31:09Speaker 6: coordinator at some point. Everybody's the first time head coach
- 31:11Speaker 6: at some point. Yeah, those guys were all in college.
- 31:13Speaker 6: That was my point. It wasn't that he didn't have.
- 31:17Speaker 6: My point was like college experience too, Like all of
- 31:21Speaker 6: those guys you just mentioned were college coaches. I just
- 31:24Speaker 6: think at some point it's gonna be it's gonna matter less,
- 31:28Speaker 6: especially as people continue to get paid more.
- 31:30Speaker 3: And you can definitely be a coordinator in college and
- 31:33Speaker 3: get a college job. My whole point was he hasn't
- 31:37Speaker 3: been a Why Why is that in the college game?
- 31:40Speaker 3: Why does it matter? Why's what matter? I think I
- 31:43Speaker 3: just think they're different. I think there I think there's
- 31:44Speaker 3: pro coaches. I think there's college coaches like we can count,
- 31:48Speaker 3: like I said, on one hand of the guys that
- 31:49Speaker 3: have had success, definitely is but there's there can damb
- 31:52Speaker 3: Pete Carroll, Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer. Yeah, there's there's guys
- 31:57Speaker 3: in the pros that don't want anything to do with
- 31:59Speaker 3: college football.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Became Jim Harbaugh. Gosh, how do I forget him? Uh? Coaching?
- 32:06Speaker 2: My team. That's that's about it.
- 32:11Speaker 6: Because a lot of pro coaches do not want to
- 32:13Speaker 6: coach in college. But there's some say it can't be done.
- 32:22Speaker 6: I'm not speaking in absolutes here. Again, there's been examples.
- 32:25Speaker 6: I'm just saying it wouldn't be my first choice for them.
- 32:32Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 32:33Speaker 3: John Summer All grew up in Huntsville, by the way,
- 32:36Speaker 3: in Alabama. Nice little city, although he played at Kentucky.
- 32:40Speaker 3: So maybe he's waiting on Mark Stoops to get fired.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Kentucky's a good job if you can get it.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Is it a long Mark Stoops has been there longest
- 32:50Speaker 2: tenure in NANTYC Bob, I think it's this thing in
- 32:52Speaker 2: tu Lane for as long as he wants. Why not.
- 32:59Speaker 2: Grass isn't always it's actually blue up there.
- 33:03Speaker 3: It's true, a lot of blue grass. It's a blue
- 33:06Speaker 3: grass all right. We'll take a break when we come back.
- 33:10Speaker 3: OTB mailbag here on.
- 33:13Speaker 2: You guessed it. OTB off the bench.

- 35:38Speaker 3: I go to the mailbag. If it's not Lane, go
- 35:40Speaker 3: around the room.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Who is it? I guess? Who? Do you? Who? Would
- 35:43Speaker 2: you want? Would you want to be the second choice?
- 35:46Speaker 2: We're turnover chaining it right now, Kenny Dillingham, you can
- 35:54Speaker 2: still do it.
- 35:55Speaker 6: You know it's boring though, uh hip Kelly? Okay, he's available.
- 36:04Speaker 7: Yeah, really recently available.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Actually yeah, went up as a coordinator of the coach.
- 36:12Speaker 6: He's just getting paid six million dollars per year to
- 36:15Speaker 6: be an offensive coordinator with the that's wild behavior.
- 36:22Speaker 7: I like Dillingham, but I think I'm gonna go drink wits.
- 36:26Speaker 2: Dylanhmm would actually be my choice for sure.
- 36:28Speaker 7: Yeah, del had just to go different. I'm gonna go drink.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean kinda kind of been.
- 36:37Speaker 5: I'll switch to John sommerl I like John predictable.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Okay, so is it Tom Herman Tom Hermit answer?
- 36:47Speaker 5: The answer is Kenny Dillingham. Like for me from like
- 36:50Speaker 5: all of us, Laundra likes dilling Ham.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I think I think t O TV would fully get
- 36:54Speaker 3: behind Kenny Dillingham.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Yeah, if it's not.
- 36:56Speaker 4: Lame, Yes, I would get behind regardless.
- 37:00Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, for sure, can I say that? Yes?
- 37:06Speaker 6: Taylor like also mimics most of LSU fan base, So
- 37:10Speaker 6: he doesn't like drink, right, but I could get behind
- 37:16Speaker 6: that as well.
- 37:17Speaker 4: It's not that I don't like drink as a coach,
- 37:20Speaker 4: I just I don't know.
- 37:22Speaker 6: There's two things that I think most LSU fan bases
- 37:24Speaker 6: one one is to maintain the current defensive staff, which
- 37:26Speaker 6: you would do, and the second run the football, which
- 37:29Speaker 6: he can do.
- 37:33Speaker 2: That you wanted LSU to be able to do. Yes,
- 37:36Speaker 2: he's kind of he kind of looks like a nerd,
- 37:39Speaker 2: got it.
- 37:41Speaker 7: But if you're a nerd, then you're smart and then
- 37:43Speaker 7: you're good.
- 37:43Speaker 3: At My last thing about drink, because I don't feel
- 37:48Speaker 3: like you can get in that today. He is not
- 37:51Speaker 3: what he looks like. I'll just I've had drink probably
- 37:54Speaker 3: more than any coach.
- 37:56Speaker 2: Ever.
- 37:57Speaker 5: As far as interviews, that's my thing, Like, you know,
- 38:01Speaker 5: not necessarily as a nerd, and you know him a
- 38:03Speaker 5: lot better than me, just you know when I hear
- 38:04Speaker 5: him and all that you were talking. You laid out
- 38:07Speaker 5: the day after Kelly got fired. You wanted a fiery guy.
- 38:10Speaker 5: You wanted a guy this this, this like to me
- 38:13Speaker 5: just outside looking in, he doesn't portray that. I like
- 38:16Speaker 5: him as a coach. I just don't know well he
- 38:18Speaker 5: would fit. That's that's my only thing.
- 38:20Speaker 6: I think if the people that are said to be available,
- 38:23Speaker 6: he would be my third probably.
- 38:25Speaker 7: Peter Burns said that like whenever he asks like people
- 38:29Speaker 7: will tell him like the sneaky, most physical team that
- 38:32Speaker 7: we've played.
- 38:33Speaker 2: As Missouri, it's on tape. Yeah, for sure.
- 38:36Speaker 7: I feel like if you're a physical team, then you
- 38:38Speaker 7: need a fiery coach and you need somebody who's not
- 38:40Speaker 7: a nerd, And I like, maybe he looks like one,
- 38:43Speaker 7: but do we know that he's a nerd?
- 38:45Speaker 6: Like I know, but yeah, I heard Peter say that too,
- 38:48Speaker 6: and he was like, I talked to coaches all over
- 38:49Speaker 6: the country and tell me one coach that's a little
- 38:52Speaker 6: bit under the radar, and they're all like it.
- 38:54Speaker 3: Eli, Yeah, I mean you go talk to Blake Baker
- 38:57Speaker 3: and Jake Olsen and Kevin Peoples.
- 38:58Speaker 2: He again, those pod guess what he wears glasses?
- 39:03Speaker 7: Unacceptable? Looks like a nerd. But are we talking about
- 39:08Speaker 7: Kurt Signetti's over here like winning and he google him
- 39:12Speaker 7: he looks like a nerd.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Too in a season just like my dad.
- 39:16Speaker 5: The weirdest part about the whole drink whin's glasses thing
- 39:19Speaker 5: like it doesn't really wear them that much.
- 39:21Speaker 7: I'm not I have glasses on right now. I'm I
- 39:23Speaker 7: can promise you I'm not a nerd.
- 39:24Speaker 6: It's like this is a I'm not smart coaching search,
- 39:27Speaker 6: is not another teen movie.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Yeah, she's got paint on her overall, take them all.
- 39:33Speaker 2: He's wearing glasses. I love that movie.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Man, just get some contacts, uh from our guy the
- 39:45Speaker 3: Rick hashtag mailbag. Has Jake retired the T Bob yoga
- 39:48Speaker 3: sweatshirt since he abandoned us? If so, can I have it?
- 39:51Speaker 2: Yes?
- 39:51Speaker 3: Rick, you can have the T Bob yoga sweatshirt. It
- 39:54Speaker 3: was your design. I just put it on a sweatshirt. Yeah,
- 39:58Speaker 3: you can absolutely have the sweatshirt. We'll we'll find a
- 40:00Speaker 3: way to get that to you. I don't wear it anymore. No,
- 40:03Speaker 3: T Bob is gone. T Bob Harley newer. Uh make
- 40:11Speaker 3: it easy, justin.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Hashtag O tob mail bag.
- 40:19Speaker 3: Why is Anthony Iinsen sponsored by a different hydration company?
- 40:22Speaker 7: Oh, you didn't get in on that baseball player.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Familis should not get in the ions and bid anymore.
- 40:28Speaker 7: I guess who sponsors my high ends in It was

- 40:34Speaker 3: Wow, you need to hire a landro you really do.
- 40:38Speaker 7: I told you are important to me.
- 40:41Speaker 2: I hire Andre Now you stop. That wasn't no, you
- 40:44Speaker 2: need to hire her. So you don't do that. It's
- 40:45Speaker 2: pretty good. Now if she would have said it, you
- 40:47Speaker 2: would have left. So he would have sponsored About what
- 40:50Speaker 2: trash company is he sponsored by?
- 40:52Speaker 7: Probably not?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Probably the one that's says it's a liquid, but it's
- 40:59Speaker 3: a powder.
- 41:00Speaker 2: We're the one.

- 41:11Speaker 6: I guess they they're they're both owned back Coke, okay,
- 41:14Speaker 6: and they're both not very not good.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Enough hashtag go to the mail bag favorite Thanksgiving side.

- 41:46Speaker 4: I do love it, sweet potato casserole, green bean.
- 41:49Speaker 6: I guess gravy is not considered a side. It's more
- 41:51Speaker 6: of like accessory. There is a there's a river of
- 41:57Speaker 6: gravy that it connects all of my plate, all of
- 42:01Speaker 6: my you like address, it connects everything, and I just don't.

- 45:04Speaker 7: article saying that late they probably had it out there ready,
- 45:06Speaker 7: just they accidentally published it.
- 45:09Speaker 5: I know that would make me freak out, and their
- 45:14Speaker 5: past coaching surges hour before kickoff, lank Kvanel issue gets announced.
- 45:20Speaker 7: Well, I thought on the thing, Keith Carter said Saturday,
- 45:22Speaker 7: he did for sure.
- 45:24Speaker 4: I feel like Saturday for kickoff?
- 45:27Speaker 2: Question for it hypothetical.
- 45:28Speaker 6: What if he decides, you know what, I'm not ready

- 45:50Speaker 2: don't think they I don't know.
- 45:51Speaker 7: I don't think so.
- 45:53Speaker 2: But detrimental.
- 45:54Speaker 7: But there's been like talks of like the players not
- 45:57Speaker 7: being happy with him at all.
- 45:59Speaker 3: And there's also like Trinidad Chambliss coming out and saying like, no,
- 46:02Speaker 3: we're going right forward, let's go ride.
- 46:04Speaker 6: He made a really good point yesterday Lane did saying like, guys,
- 46:07Speaker 6: I don't think you'll realize how like the players don't
- 46:10Speaker 6: care as much about this as like you think they
- 46:13Speaker 6: do this day age because everybody's kind of looking at
- 46:15Speaker 6: professional football, everyone's kind of looking out for themselves, like
- 46:17Speaker 6: they're trying to get the best deal. They understand the
- 46:20Speaker 6: business side of things, like it's not the same and
- 46:23Speaker 6: we all know that we all missed, like the old
- 46:25Speaker 6: days of college. It's not the same. It's not going back.
- 46:28Speaker 6: See you can get behind it, guys. It's a business.
- 46:31Speaker 6: It's professional football.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Oh yeah, way way, way, way way more than it
- 46:35Speaker 3: ever has been before.
- 46:37Speaker 2: So we talk about that, talk about a lot of things.
- 46:39Speaker 2: We got another hour left, Oh TB off the bench.
