- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from kf I
- 0:04Speaker 1: A M six forty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: KFI AM six forty Bill Handle here, good morning. It
- 0:15Speaker 2: is a Wednesday morning, April twenty nine, Humpday Wednesday. Bad
- 0:20Speaker 2: news on the gas front. It's going up again and
- 0:24Speaker 2: it's going to keep on going up for sure. And
- 0:27Speaker 2: then the other bit of news is the FCC is
- 0:30Speaker 2: now challenging ABC's license to broadcast at stations and it
- 0:37Speaker 2: based on the fact that, well, it has nothing to
- 0:39Speaker 2: do with Jimmy Kimmel, of course, even though the President
- 0:42Speaker 2: has asked that Kim will be fired. To Millennia, Trump
- 0:45Speaker 2: has asked that Kim will be fired. It has to
- 0:48Speaker 2: do with the DIDI programs, and it's a little wonky.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But in terms of I think they're going to argue discrimination.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's just nuts. It is nuts, Okay.
- 0:59Speaker 2: So last night, let's move it to the governorship of California.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Last night was the next candidate debate, and the debate
- 1:08Speaker 2: the candidates clashed over gas prices and housing and insurance.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Mostly the attack went against Xavier Bessera and the Republicans
- 1:19Speaker 2: attacking Besserah because he has growing momentum and he got
- 1:26Speaker 2: the benefit of Eric Swallwell, a representative who dropped out
- 1:31Speaker 2: because there were sexual assault in his conduct allegations. And
- 1:34Speaker 2: whenever any of this happens, of course, you don't want
- 1:37Speaker 2: to distract from the campaign. So it's never I was
- 1:42Speaker 2: wrong and I have no business running. That is impossible
- 1:45Speaker 2: for a candidate to ever say. It's I am now
- 1:48Speaker 2: a distraction and I want to move away from that.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I've never heard anything other than that. The number one
- 1:56Speaker 2: candidate in terms of the polls former Fox Who's host
- 2:00Speaker 2: Steve Hilton, he leads all the candidates at this point,
- 2:06Speaker 2: and he ripped into Bessarah for promising Besarah's promise to
- 2:10Speaker 2: declare a state of emergency to address rising homeowners insurance policy,
- 2:15Speaker 2: and he said the governor lacks A governor would lack
- 2:18Speaker 2: the constitutional authority to do that.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's really weird.
- 2:23Speaker 2: I think, in my opinion, I think that a governor
- 2:28Speaker 2: could do that only because the law says that a
- 2:32Speaker 2: governor can declare as certainly a president can declare a
- 2:35Speaker 2: state of emergency just by calling it a state of emergency,
- 2:38Speaker 2: and I think the governor can do the same thing.
- 2:40Speaker 2: As stupid as that sounds, if Bessarah were to be elected,
- 2:43Speaker 2: and he called a state of emergency on homeowners insurance.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I mean that's kind of stupid. But can he do it? Yeah?
- 2:53Speaker 2: Probably, And so Hilton said, we can't have a governor
- 2:58Speaker 2: who doesn't understand how government works. Butsero came back and
- 3:01Speaker 2: defended himself, saying he knows a lot better than Hilton does.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We don't need a talking head from Fox News to
- 3:08Speaker 2: tell us how the government works. I mean, it's getting delicious,
- 3:10Speaker 2: it really is. And here is the problem, and you
- 3:13Speaker 2: could see it last night in the gubernatorial debate, and
- 3:18Speaker 2: that is everybody attacks everybody, for sure, But you only
- 3:23Speaker 2: have a couple of Republicans that are in the race.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Where you have how many Democrats that are vying for it?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Eight maybe eight.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Nine Democrats all viable for the most part, most of
- 3:37Speaker 2: them hated, well, everybody hates everybody, you know, and there's
- 3:39Speaker 2: no candidate that's actually liked.
- 3:41Speaker 1: And what's going to happen.
- 3:43Speaker 2: What is happening is the Democrats are cannibalizing each other. Now,
- 3:48Speaker 2: if the Democrats were all to line up with one candidate.
- 3:53Speaker 1: It wouldn't even be close.
- 3:54Speaker 2: The Democrat would win the governorship easy, easy, pasy Howeverlifornia
- 4:00Speaker 2: has a law that the top two candidates who get
- 4:05Speaker 2: the most number of votes they go on to the
- 4:09Speaker 2: general election, which means that the top two may very
- 4:13Speaker 2: well be of the same party, and in this case
- 4:17Speaker 2: may very well be the Republicans. And for Democrats who
- 4:23Speaker 2: are looking at oh my god, are we really going
- 4:25Speaker 2: to have a choice between one Republican or the other
- 4:29Speaker 2: Republican as the next governor, the Democrats should line up.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I mean, they have no choice. Someone has to come
- 4:36Speaker 2: out as a candidate. But here's the problem. Every one
- 4:38Speaker 2: of them thinks that they are the best candidate out there.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Every one of them thinks that there is no not
- 4:46Speaker 2: even close. I am the best, So come to me
- 4:49Speaker 2: and or vote for me as the other as the other.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Democrats are in the cannibalizing each other. That's it.
- 4:56Speaker 2: It's that simple. They're going to split the vote. So
- 5:00Speaker 2: it's pretty crazy. The first half hour of the debate
- 5:04Speaker 2: affordability and they began sniping and talking about it and
- 5:09Speaker 2: just screaming each other. All of them vote to accelerate
- 5:12Speaker 2: home construction in California. How do you do that. We'll
- 5:16Speaker 2: get rid of all of the regulations. That's why you
- 5:19Speaker 2: can't build a home. It's crazy to build a home.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I mean the amount of money it takes and the
- 5:26Speaker 2: length that it takes to go through the process. California,
- 5:29Speaker 2: I don't think there's anything stated. There's no state in
- 5:31Speaker 2: the Union or city in the United States, certainly as
- 5:36Speaker 2: Los Angeles is so not too many, not too many specifics.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Hilton promised to cap the price of gas at three
- 5:44Speaker 2: dollars per gallon?
- 5:46Speaker 1: How does he do that? How does he do that?
- 5:50Speaker 2: What controlling the price of oil, the world price of oil,
- 5:55Speaker 2: telling refineries you can't charge more than three dollars a gallon.
- 6:03Speaker 2: This is I swear this is going to be really quickly.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I remember running for class president in the third grade
- 6:12Speaker 2: and my campaign was free pizzas for everybody on Friday.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Now I didn't win. Well, that was very popular, by
- 6:21Speaker 2: the way, free pizzas. The kids really enjoyed that. Now,
- 6:25Speaker 2: what are my chances of actually having obtained gotten somehow
- 6:30Speaker 2: pushed for free pizzas on Friday? About as much as
- 6:35Speaker 2: three dollars gas for everyone? Okay, and Amy, while I've
- 6:42Speaker 2: watched every minute of this campaign, which she does, which
- 6:46Speaker 2: I love because I go out of my mind and
- 6:48Speaker 2: I just go I'm watching a Flintstone's rerun.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I'd rather do that. That's more appropriate. What'd you think.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Overall of the you know, I like getting snippets of
- 6:58Speaker 3: what they want to do and that kind of thing.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I think it's very frustrating though, because they said, we've
- 7:02Speaker 3: got all this to get to and we want to
- 7:05Speaker 3: know in thirty seconds or less how you were going
- 7:07Speaker 3: to solve homelessness. Well you can't do that, and so
- 7:09Speaker 3: they just get started with their answer and then you
- 7:11Speaker 3: hear the ding and then they go to the next person.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So debates are frustrating that way. But with eight candidates,
- 7:17Speaker 3: you got to get to them as much as you can.
- 7:20Speaker 2: And there really isn't a debate. I mean, the only
- 7:21Speaker 2: way to get a legitimate debate is do it as
- 7:24Speaker 2: a debate where you need two sides and one side
- 7:28Speaker 2: argues the other side, and it's an hour and a half.
- 7:31Speaker 3: And it's interesting to watch some of the candidates who
- 7:33Speaker 3: didn't get as much as many questions, or it didn't
- 7:35Speaker 3: seem like they did, so they insinuated themselves in, like
- 7:38Speaker 3: Matt Mayhan just kept butting in, but he had good
- 7:41Speaker 3: points to say, like he was trying to make it
- 7:43Speaker 3: a debate.
- 7:44Speaker 1: So it didn't work. Okay, we'll see. Are they going
- 7:47Speaker 1: to be more? I think they're more debate scheduling.
- 7:49Speaker 3: Here it's another one.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The next one is on CNN.
- 7:52Speaker 3: I believe they decided even though it's California not a
- 7:55Speaker 3: national platform, California is big enough that it warranted.
- 8:00Speaker 2: So it's oh, yeah, the governor, Yeah, the governor of
- 8:02Speaker 2: California is a national figure almost by definition. All right, well,
- 8:07Speaker 2: let me go right into it because some of the
- 8:09Speaker 2: other big stories we're looking at have to do with
- 8:12Speaker 2: this story that I'm going to share with you. Let's
- 8:15Speaker 2: start with all these stories about President Trump putting his
- 8:19Speaker 2: picture and his name on everything he possibly can. And
- 8:24Speaker 2: if I had to go through the list of where
- 8:27Speaker 2: his picture and where his name is now part of
- 8:30Speaker 2: any governmental entity, everything from you go to the National Parks,
- 8:34Speaker 2: there is a pass with the picture of George Washington
- 8:37Speaker 2: on the pass. It has now been added with Donald
- 8:41Speaker 2: Trump's picture. The Kennedy Center, of course, is the Donald
- 8:44Speaker 2: Trump Kennedy Center. I mean, it just moves on and
- 8:47Speaker 2: on and on. That is you know, I mean, does
- 8:50Speaker 2: that scare me? No, That's just ridiculous. That's a you know,
- 8:55Speaker 2: a self absorbed and narcissistic person who has the power
- 8:59Speaker 2: to throw his name around and just oh, his signature
- 9:02Speaker 2: is now on currency and the trump bar x. Now
- 9:05Speaker 2: you go on and on. None of that scares me.
- 9:08Speaker 2: This thing with the FCC, this scares me. This is
- 9:13Speaker 2: where the line I believe is crossed. And this has
- 9:16Speaker 2: to do with Jimmy Kimmel, the ongoing fight with Jimmy
- 9:19Speaker 2: Kimmel and the administration.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So the FCC.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Commission ordered a review of Disney that owns Kimmel, ABC
- 9:30Speaker 2: order review of Disney's broadcast licenses from its O and
- 9:35Speaker 2: O owned and operated stations. And the way it works.
- 9:38Speaker 2: There's a little inside baseball. The vast majority of stations
- 9:41Speaker 2: around the country are not owned by the networks, just
- 9:45Speaker 2: the big markets. Those are O and O owned and operated,
- 9:48Speaker 2: and those have individual licenses, as every station has a license.
- 9:53Speaker 1: And so what.
- 9:55Speaker 2: The FCC is doing is straight out threatening Disney right out.
- 10:01Speaker 2: There's no question. Now the government says, oh no, no,
- 10:04Speaker 2: we're not threatening Disney at all.
- 10:06Speaker 1: This has nothing to do with Kimmel.
- 10:09Speaker 2: This has to do with we have the ability and
- 10:11Speaker 2: the power to call for a review of the licenses,
- 10:17Speaker 2: even though we don't call it for anybody else and
- 10:20Speaker 2: has nothing to do with Kimmel, because we think that
- 10:23Speaker 2: Disney is violating the law, while violating possible unlawful discrimination
- 10:29Speaker 2: laws by having a DEI program, they're still keeping DEI
- 10:34Speaker 2: in many cases.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And so.
- 10:38Speaker 2: What's going to happen here? Well, are there licenses at risk?
- 10:43Speaker 2: Does the FCC have the power to do this? Yes,
- 10:46Speaker 2: it does. Can the FCC be stopped from doing this?
- 10:51Speaker 2: I think it can. Even though the federal government, the
- 10:55Speaker 2: FCC has the ability not only to investigate license earlier
- 11:01Speaker 2: than normal, it actually has the power to yank those licenses.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Now. Is that done?
- 11:08Speaker 2: I can't remember the last time it has ever happened.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I've never reported on an FCC license being yanked from
- 11:15Speaker 2: a broadcaster ever. And again Brendan Carr says, oh, this
- 11:22Speaker 2: has nothing to do with Jimmy Kimmel, even though the
- 11:25Speaker 2: president and now Milania has asked that Kimmell be fired.
- 11:31Speaker 2: This is the second go round with Kimmel and the administration.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Same thing happened last time around, and this had to
- 11:38Speaker 2: do with Jimmy Kimmel making I would guess, yeah, I
- 11:41Speaker 2: would argue tasteless jokes about Charlie Kirk and how he
- 11:45Speaker 2: was assassinated and just you know, people were upset, and
- 11:50Speaker 2: I think rightly so. However, based on that, the FCC said,
- 11:56Speaker 2: we are going this. Brendon Carr said, we are going
- 11:59Speaker 2: to yank the license. You better watch out. We're going
- 12:02Speaker 2: to yank the license, and we demand that Jimmy Kimmel
- 12:05Speaker 2: will be fired.
- 12:05Speaker 1: And as a matter of fact, ABC.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Caved and put Kimmell on suspension and then a week
- 12:13Speaker 2: later put Kimmel back on the air because the backlash
- 12:18Speaker 2: was extraordinary, I mean, just completely insane.
- 12:24Speaker 1: All Right, you know about.
- 12:25Speaker 2: The ongoing fight between the Trump administration and Jimmy Kimmel,
- 12:30Speaker 2: and this fight happens to deal with what Kimmel said
- 12:35Speaker 2: in his monologues both before and after the Correspondence dinner.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And as you know, the way the Trump administration is
- 12:45Speaker 2: fighting Disney is through Jimmy Kimble effectively saying, we're going
- 12:52Speaker 2: to take away your licenses to ABC, your licenses to
- 12:55Speaker 2: broadcast if you don't fire Jimmy Kimmel. That was the
- 12:58Speaker 2: first go round a few months ago, late last year,
- 13:02Speaker 2: and Disney cafed on that and Kimmel was suspended for
- 13:06Speaker 2: a week and he was brought back a week later
- 13:09Speaker 2: simply because the backlash was extraordinary.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So here is the latest.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Okay, so before the dinner, Kimmel, who does monologues about
- 13:20Speaker 2: Trump almost every night, he hates Trump. What he did
- 13:25Speaker 2: is he pretended that he was going to be at
- 13:29Speaker 2: the dinner, and he basically pretended that he was the
- 13:34Speaker 2: MC of the dinner, and he made fun of Millenia,
- 13:42Speaker 2: made fun of the President. So this is two days
- 13:46Speaker 2: before the gunman opened fire. And what the federal law
- 13:51Speaker 2: enforcement officials have alleged is that what he called for
- 13:57Speaker 2: was basically, I don't think specifically assassinating the president, but
- 14:03Speaker 2: the rhetoric that he is spewing out is such hatred
- 14:09Speaker 2: that it endangers the people, endangers the population and Malania Trump.
- 14:14Speaker 1: Afterwards, because what he said on Monday night that was
- 14:19Speaker 1: his show.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Afterwards, Kimble responded to his criticism from the First family,
- 14:24Speaker 2: and he had made a remark about Milania Trump looking
- 14:29Speaker 2: like an expect ex expectant widow, and he said it
- 14:33Speaker 2: was a joke about their age difference. And then he said,
- 14:36Speaker 2: and look at the joy we see on her face
- 14:38Speaker 2: every time they were together.
- 14:39Speaker 1: He said it was a light roast choke.
- 14:42Speaker 2: It was mainly about the fact he's almost eighty and
- 14:45Speaker 2: she's younger than I am. I think he's fifty seven,
- 14:47Speaker 2: so she fifty six. And it was not by any
- 14:50Speaker 2: stretch of the definition to call for an assassination. Now
- 14:54Speaker 2: the government is going after call me, they arrested, call
- 14:58Speaker 2: me former FBI direct because he posted a picture of
- 15:02Speaker 2: some seashells that said eighty six forty seven, forty seven
- 15:08Speaker 2: refers to the president because he's forty five and forty seven,
- 15:12Speaker 2: and eighty six is a threat to assassinate the president?
- 15:16Speaker 2: Does anybody think that it could be interpreted? And the
- 15:20Speaker 2: administration is saying it is a threat? Right there, you
- 15:23Speaker 2: write eighty six about the president, It is a threat
- 15:26Speaker 2: to kill the president. So if I say a restaurant
- 15:30Speaker 2: has eighty six something, or I go to Webster's dictionary,
- 15:37Speaker 2: the word assassination doesn't appear. Eighty six is getting rid
- 15:41Speaker 2: of putting aside? And can I say we should have
- 15:47Speaker 2: the president impeached because he shouldn't.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Be the president?
- 15:51Speaker 2: Should I say if I said we should get rid
- 15:53Speaker 2: of the president, that's an assassination? That is a call
- 15:56Speaker 2: to kill the president. That's the administration's position. That's how
- 16:00Speaker 2: this is. So he is now being threatened by Brendan
- 16:06Speaker 2: Carr where ABC is that Disney's licenses, Dai ziones ABC
- 16:13Speaker 2: that originally he had said the first time around, we
- 16:16Speaker 2: can do this the hard way or the easy way.
- 16:18Speaker 2: That was in reference to the first time Kimmel was
- 16:21Speaker 2: suspended and ABC caved and and substations took Kimmel's show
- 16:26Speaker 2: off the air. Now you have some criticism because the
- 16:33Speaker 2: allegation is that excuse me, The allegation is that Kim
- 16:38Speaker 2: has been calling for the assassination with his jokes, which
- 16:40Speaker 2: is absolutely not true. Milania Trump says, this rhetoric is horrible.
- 16:44Speaker 2: It divides the country. This is why everybody hates everybody.
- 16:49Speaker 2: She did not bring up the post that the president
- 16:52Speaker 2: put up when those five lawmakers they had posted you
- 16:58Speaker 2: do not you don't have to follow illegal orders to
- 17:03Speaker 2: those five lawmakers, all of them had been in the service.
- 17:08Speaker 1: He called them traders and they should or could be
- 17:12Speaker 1: put to death for saying that.
- 17:16Speaker 2: See that's okay, that's not a problem, but posting eighty
- 17:21Speaker 2: six forty seven, that's an assassination threat. Jimmy Kimmel talking
- 17:27Speaker 2: about what the president is like and what just a
- 17:29Speaker 2: jerky's like. That is a threat that is encouraging assassination violence.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Senator Ted Cruz, who is.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Not a big fan of those who oppose Trump, he
- 17:43Speaker 2: is a pro Trump guy. Even he said what Carr
- 17:47Speaker 2: said about about going after ABC's license, And by the way,
- 17:52Speaker 2: what the government is saying is they're going after the
- 17:55Speaker 2: license not because of what Kimmel said. It's because of
- 17:58Speaker 2: ABC's diversity program. And that's what's illegal, and that's why
- 18:03Speaker 2: we're going after the license or investigating the license. So
- 18:06Speaker 2: Cruse said, what he said reference to Brendan Carr is
- 18:11Speaker 2: dangerous as hell. It's right out of Goodfellas, right out
- 18:15Speaker 2: of a mafiosa coming into a bar saying good or god,
- 18:19Speaker 2: nice bar. If you have here, it'd be a shame
- 18:21Speaker 2: if something happened to it. And that's what Cruz is saying.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So what's going to happen Legally? Does the FCC have
- 18:30Speaker 2: a right to investigate a broadcast facility? And this is
- 18:34Speaker 2: in the middle of their licensing. According to the licensee regulations,
- 18:40Speaker 2: ABC doesn't have to go renew their license until twenty
- 18:44Speaker 2: twenty eight, and the FCC does have the power to say,
- 18:48Speaker 2: we're going to look at it earlier.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Now, is there a defense? You bet you, because ABC is.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Going to go right to court and saying the only
- 18:57Speaker 2: reason you're doing this is to stop a comedian for
- 19:01Speaker 2: making jokes about the president. That's a violation of First
- 19:05Speaker 2: Amendment and it is pure retribution. This has nothing to
- 19:10Speaker 2: do with an investigation that is legitimate. You are going
- 19:14Speaker 2: after ABC just because of Jimmy Kimmel and his jokes.
- 19:20Speaker 2: They're gonna say, no, that's not true at all.
- 19:24Speaker 1: What do you think? Is there any doubt? What is
- 19:28Speaker 1: a judge gonna do?
- 19:30Speaker 2: I mean, if I'm a Joe, if I'm a judge,
- 19:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna look at this and say wow. Right after
- 19:36Speaker 2: Kimmel said this, you're now threatening to look at the licensing.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Brendan Carr twice has said, if you don't straighten up,
- 19:44Speaker 2: if you don't fire Kimmel, we're gonna go after your license.
- 19:49Speaker 2: That's not retribution at all. It's we're just interested in
- 19:54Speaker 2: looking at the DEI programs. That's why we're investigating your licensing.
- 20:00Speaker 2: So does the FCC have power to do this?
- 20:02Speaker 1: Yes?
- 20:02Speaker 2: Does the FCC have power to do this and stop
- 20:05Speaker 2: people from making jokes, from stopping the First Amendment. No,
- 20:11Speaker 2: does the FCC have power to yank or investigate licenses
- 20:16Speaker 2: just for retribution sake? No really interesting stuff to say
- 20:23Speaker 2: the least. All right now, in light of the attack
- 20:27Speaker 2: of the attempted assassination attempt on the president on Saturday
- 20:33Speaker 2: night and the purported not purported, the shooter, go ahead
- 20:39Speaker 2: and assue me if you want. Alleged the shooter never
- 20:43Speaker 2: got near the ballroom. I mean he ran downstairs and
- 20:46Speaker 2: went to a security checkpoint. Secret Service was there, and
- 20:50Speaker 2: he ran past one of the agents. They immediately pulled
- 20:53Speaker 2: their guns. Another agent tackled him. Five shots from the
- 20:56Speaker 2: Asian all missed. I might add, well, I think somebody's
- 21:02Speaker 2: going to talk to him about shooting or her. The
- 21:06Speaker 2: point is is that the administration has said they did
- 21:09Speaker 2: their job.
- 21:10Speaker 1: They did exactly what they were supposed to do. I
- 21:12Speaker 1: said the same thing.
- 21:14Speaker 2: I said, I mean, they made a huge story about this,
- 21:16Speaker 2: I mean enormous, and I said, it's not that big
- 21:18Speaker 2: a story. It's a crazy guy attempting to break into
- 21:24Speaker 2: the ballroom where the president was and the Secret Service
- 21:27Speaker 2: stopped him.
- 21:27Speaker 1: That's the whole point.
- 21:29Speaker 2: And it became a huge story because as far as
- 21:31Speaker 2: he got, but he didn't get very far.
- 21:33Speaker 1: And there's some real problems.
- 21:34Speaker 2: I mean, you've got people in the Secret Service, former
- 21:37Speaker 2: Secret Service officials saying there's a real.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Problem with the Secret Service.
- 21:41Speaker 2: There aren't enough people, there aren't enough layers of security.
- 21:46Speaker 1: The a couple of problems though with that.
- 21:49Speaker 2: First of all, the President pointed out, maybe rightly, so
- 21:52Speaker 2: this is why he needs that new ballroom, or we
- 21:55Speaker 2: need the new ballroom because if the President's going to attend,
- 21:58Speaker 2: we need this big, beautiful ballroom because security, of course
- 22:01Speaker 2: would be insane at the White House. Well, the problem
- 22:03Speaker 2: is is that this was a private event. The White
- 22:08Speaker 2: House Correspondence Association put this on. The President is invited,
- 22:12Speaker 2: here's a room where the President, the Vice president, the
- 22:17Speaker 2: top officials of the government are in one room. And
- 22:23Speaker 2: that is a little problematic. So we are being told,
- 22:28Speaker 2: and I think we've talked about this before, there aren't
- 22:30Speaker 2: enough people secret Service. The agents are working way over time,
- 22:36Speaker 2: they don't have the facilities that they need.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Training is down.
- 22:41Speaker 2: Money that's allocated the Secret Service is being cut constantly,
- 22:45Speaker 2: and so what was the problem here, and what is
- 22:48Speaker 2: the problem whenever this happens, well, and whenever the president
- 22:52Speaker 2: goes anywhere outside of the White House, in this case
- 22:56Speaker 2: a hotel ballroom. People check in to the hotel and
- 23:03Speaker 2: this took place in the ballroom and there were tons
- 23:07Speaker 2: of security. There was tons of security, several layers of protection.
- 23:12Speaker 2: We don't even know how many layers and what they
- 23:16Speaker 2: do because that's classified and it should be classified.
- 23:20Speaker 1: But the Secret Service are they going to get more money?
- 23:23Speaker 1: It has to be revamped, it really does.
- 23:25Speaker 2: And they point to what happened on Saturday night see
- 23:28Speaker 2: case in point. You can't point to what happens Saturday
- 23:31Speaker 2: night because this proves Secret Service did its job completely.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Metropolitan Police were there and the guy got nowhere near
- 23:40Speaker 2: the actual ballroom. He had checked in three days before,
- 23:44Speaker 2: brought weapons with him. And what do you do do
- 23:48Speaker 2: you check every guest? You do a search of every
- 23:53Speaker 2: guest that's there. And that's a snapshot. So why for example,
- 23:57Speaker 2: when they check in, now, what stas stops them from
- 24:00Speaker 2: going to another location maybe a safe deposit box, maybe
- 24:04Speaker 2: a locker, and pull out the weapons and go back
- 24:06Speaker 2: to the hotel. You go through a metal detector in
- 24:09Speaker 2: and out of every hotel and out of every lobby.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Maybe that's the answer.
- 24:15Speaker 2: I mean, the assassination attempts against presidents are many. We
- 24:19Speaker 2: don't even know how many there are. The Secret Service
- 24:22Speaker 2: won't tell us how many attempts on the president happen
- 24:25Speaker 2: every year, and they shouldn't tell us.
- 24:29Speaker 1: So I think they did a good job.
- 24:32Speaker 2: And former Secret Service stations are saying that not enough,
- 24:35Speaker 2: all right, not enough I buy I don't buy that
- 24:38Speaker 2: all right.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Oh, this is gonna be a fun topic.
- 24:41Speaker 2: This is about something called societal loss of humanity. And
- 24:47Speaker 2: this is me going online and talking to an avatar
- 24:51Speaker 2: or talking to talking to a character, talking to a date,
- 24:58Speaker 2: talking to a computer, talking to a person that doesn't exist,
- 25:03Speaker 2: because I'm lonely. Hey baby, what are you wearing? I'll
- 25:08Speaker 2: do that story when we come back. KFI AM six
