- 0:01Speaker 1: If you know what I'm saying, so so shameless, if
- 0:07Speaker 1: you know what I'm sitting, so shameless, if you know
- 0:13Speaker 1: what I'm saying, so shamous, so shameless, so so so sumous,
- 0:24Speaker 1: if you know what I'm saying, so shameless, if you
- 0:30Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, so shameless, if you know what
- 0:36Speaker 1: I'm saying, so shameless, if you know what I'm saying.
- 0:44Speaker 2: So And the guy who had it before her, he
- 0:48Speaker 2: was this little weasel of a gay man, like this
- 0:50Speaker 2: little black gay man who came in there on something
- 0:52Speaker 2: like black power ship until he got the job, and
- 0:55Speaker 2: then it was very like, well, you know, he's kids
- 0:58Speaker 2: from me, the fix, and it was never the demographics
- 1:01Speaker 2: that we lived in, you know. And I feel like
- 1:04Speaker 2: she on the same type of time like she she's
- 1:06Speaker 2: a lesbian woman, but she just had her first baby,
- 1:08Speaker 2: so she on that type of time, like she was
- 1:10Speaker 2: on her little press tour and all of the things
- 1:12Speaker 2: and did all of this ship, and she don't want
- 1:14Speaker 2: to give up.
- 1:14Speaker 3: That money because of whatever the reasons is.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Now, I think that when I think about hearing somebody say, like,
- 1:20Speaker 2: you know, let's not count people's pockets, what I will
- 1:23Speaker 2: say is my bills ain't your bills. So if you
- 1:25Speaker 2: came into that job and you accepted that job on
- 1:27Speaker 2: seven hundred k because you knew that you would get
- 1:30Speaker 2: ready to have this baby, whatever whatever, so.
- 1:31Speaker 3: You made plans heard.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And also, but I just feel like I have to
- 1:37Speaker 2: realize that I'm not I ain't no fake ass punk
- 1:40Speaker 2: ass activists, Like I don't just get on this and
- 1:41Speaker 2: do this shit for Instagram like I'm really out here.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Oh oh think she was recording the whole time.
- 1:48Speaker 5: I mean about I'm positive to continue to You didn't
- 1:52Speaker 5: say what organization I just need.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I don't care because that's how people.
- 1:59Speaker 2: My thing is, when you don't say the name, people
- 2:01Speaker 2: feel comfortable perpetuating the behavior, which is why I don't
- 2:04Speaker 2: mind saying the things because at the end of the day,
- 2:06Speaker 2: I'm still be booked. I'm still like I've sat at
- 2:10Speaker 2: a space where I was invited to and talk shit
- 2:12Speaker 2: about the people that invited me because they still did
- 2:15Speaker 2: not show up for.
- 2:15Speaker 3: The community but they said that they would.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Because what happens is when you hold that shit and
- 2:19Speaker 2: we put it in the group chat and we all
- 2:20Speaker 2: talking about it and be like, yeah, that.
- 2:22Speaker 3: Organization is fucked up. Guess what they get to still
- 2:24Speaker 3: be fucked up because we're not saying nothing.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But if I'm sitting at your shit talking about how
- 2:28Speaker 2: you still didn't show up for me at your shit,
- 2:30Speaker 2: while I have the audience of people who are also
- 2:32Speaker 2: at this ship that don't know nothing about this. Now
- 2:34Speaker 2: people got questions. So now it's not just me. People
- 2:37Speaker 2: are like, well, is what she said true? Because y'all
- 2:38Speaker 2: let her say it. Nobody pulled her off, nobody said
- 2:41Speaker 2: that it was a lie. So it is what she
- 2:43Speaker 2: said true. And that's how change happens. Niggas be scared.
- 2:49Speaker 3: No only works for me in my favor.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Now, mind you, I don't know what conversations happened in
- 2:56Speaker 2: rooms and what opportunities I might have missed that never.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Came to me.
- 3:00Speaker 6: But you know, hard, what's your level today? What level
- 3:04Speaker 6: you at too?
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm up there?
- 3:06Speaker 6: What happened? How did you get there? We just started
- 3:08Speaker 6: seventy degree?
- 3:09Speaker 7: Is it? He?
- 3:10Speaker 2: No, it's not that like we were were trying to
- 3:12Speaker 2: do some shit with one of the venues for DC
- 3:14Speaker 2: because I'm trying to expand it to be able to
- 3:15Speaker 2: fit more people because DC is sold out.
- 3:17Speaker 8: But I want to get you up there, but I
- 3:20Speaker 8: need a little four play first. You can't walk in.
- 3:22Speaker 6: All the way up all right, and I walk in
- 3:25Speaker 6: like it's a lot.
- 3:29Speaker 3: You're good, I'm good, I'm good.
- 3:33Speaker 6: We was Uh.
- 3:35Speaker 8: There was two conversations, yeah, happening before the show. First
- 3:38Speaker 8: one you said, somebody makes seven hundred thousand dollars.
- 3:41Speaker 6: Yeah right. Somebody in the chest said they don't believe
- 3:44Speaker 6: in counting pockets.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Right do you when you are a public startment of
- 3:50Speaker 2: a nonprofit organization?
- 3:52Speaker 6: Absolutely well, do you believe in count pockets? Nah? Why not?
- 3:56Speaker 9: Because what's what's for them? It's for them, what's for
- 3:59Speaker 9: me and for me If I agree to a deal,
- 4:02Speaker 9: if I don't like to deal, I'm out of it.
- 4:03Speaker 9: What you made don't matter to me.
- 4:07Speaker 7: I'm not a big fan of pocket watching, but kind of,
- 4:10Speaker 7: like with Hope said, if it's relevant to the conversation,
- 4:12Speaker 7: or if you're falling short or what you're supposed to
- 4:14Speaker 7: be doing and that money could be reallocated, then you
- 4:19Speaker 7: kind of got to look at the entire situation because
- 4:21Speaker 7: there's some money there that could be going somewhere else,
- 4:23Speaker 7: and this person is falling short. So in that case,
- 4:27Speaker 7: somebody has to pay attention to where this money's going.
- 4:29Speaker 8: You know what I mean, I believe you count pockets,
- 4:35Speaker 8: especially when it does not align with what you're saying
- 4:40Speaker 8: or what you're supposed to be mouse That's what I mean.
- 4:42Speaker 6: Oh okay, he's the reverend with the Rose Royce. Yes, yeah,
- 4:49Speaker 6: I'm saying it.
- 4:52Speaker 8: The niggas are Oh Jay Z billionaire babe, Bro, you're
- 4:57Speaker 8: giving out sandwiches. If that that's the case, then you
- 5:00Speaker 8: should be doing more for the community. I don't believe
- 5:03Speaker 8: in this social media activists. I don't Unless you really
- 5:07Speaker 8: standing on it and your behavior matches, then I don't
- 5:11Speaker 8: believe it. So if you're walking in here supreme up,
- 5:14Speaker 8: but you're talking about the next man, bro, your behavior
- 5:17Speaker 8: needs to change then because it don't start at a
- 5:19Speaker 8: billion and now I do believe what Jay said.
- 5:21Speaker 6: That means at one.
- 5:23Speaker 8: Hundred thousand, you could still be toxic to community. You
- 5:25Speaker 8: can still be that way, right, So your behavior needs
- 5:29Speaker 8: to start from now, not when you get all that bread.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Because if that's the case.
- 5:34Speaker 8: I could be a billionaire, but I could be given
- 5:36Speaker 8: five hundred to communities and building schools in Africa, or
- 5:41Speaker 8: that I could be doing these things that it makes sense.
- 5:45Speaker 8: You know what I mean for me to have that
- 5:46Speaker 8: type of brain because look at all the shit that
- 5:47Speaker 8: I'm doing, I'm giving it away. I'm trying to make
- 5:49Speaker 8: the world better. Of a philanthropist, when do you become
- 5:52Speaker 8: a philanthropist? How much money? After the fact? Right, you
- 5:56Speaker 8: make all this money, Now you become a philanthropist? Right
- 5:58Speaker 8: how you know it was either doing it the whole time,
- 6:02Speaker 8: don't so.
- 6:03Speaker 7: It should be like you wanted to.
- 6:07Speaker 2: It's never It's never about what you couldn't. It's about
- 6:09Speaker 2: the desire to do it. I'm not a millionaire and
- 6:11Speaker 2: I'm giving away money at every stop of this tour.
- 6:14Speaker 2: This is my tour, and I'm making it about the
- 6:16Speaker 2: community because I want to. It's not and like Tyl
- 6:20Speaker 2: just said, it doesn't start at a billion. I'm I'm
- 6:23Speaker 2: on my way to make it. I make a cute
- 6:24Speaker 2: little chunk of change. But at the end of the day,
- 6:27Speaker 2: was what I have. I'm gonna give back, but like
- 6:36Speaker 2: I'm gonna give back, but it's right. What I'm giving
- 6:39Speaker 2: back now is chump change compared to what I'm going
- 6:42Speaker 2: to give back when I'm in a position to give more.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And I think that some people is embedded in you
- 6:47Speaker 2: and other people want to perform as if it is,
- 6:49Speaker 2: while pocketing most of that money and giving the barest
- 6:52Speaker 2: of minimums that they have for the for the perception.
- 7:01Speaker 9: Hey, listen, some people need to They was giving out
- 7:04Speaker 9: sandwiches on the train.
- 7:07Speaker 6: That's crazy. Shout out to the mouse. We had a
- 7:11Speaker 6: great episode last week. I miss I missed him.
- 7:14Speaker 8: The motherfucker's online talking about jay Z and his billionaires. Listen,
- 7:18Speaker 8: if we don't know what that man is doing with
- 7:20Speaker 8: his bread. Obviously people disagree with all of the different things, fine,
- 7:24Speaker 8: but whatever.
- 7:26Speaker 6: The other conversation.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Real that's me.
- 7:34Speaker 6: Told Trump, it looks like you're losing weight. I said, Bro,
- 7:40Speaker 6: you can't say that. What did you say?
- 7:43Speaker 9: Let's say what I want. Why can't I tell somebody
- 7:47Speaker 9: that they losing weight?
- 7:50Speaker 8: I don't think that you shouldupposed to be mentioning people's weight.
- 7:54Speaker 8: I don't think you literally don't. You don't say that
- 7:56Speaker 8: you don't know what they're going through. What a nigga
- 7:57Speaker 8: got cancered?
- 7:58Speaker 4: I would have known that out.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Sorot the type of dude to ask the lady if
- 8:03Speaker 7: she's pregnant just because she showed a little bility I
- 8:06Speaker 7: wouldn't do that.
- 8:07Speaker 6: It's the same idea.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I keep that one in myself. I wouldn't say that though,
- 8:16Speaker 4: like you.
- 8:17Speaker 9: Don't much stuff you say to me when we you
- 8:21Speaker 9: know how much stuff you say to me. I'm bunked out,
- 8:23Speaker 9: I'm bugged out. But you don't know him like that.
- 8:26Speaker 6: You my family. I don't care if I offend you.
- 8:30Speaker 9: That's crazy. Like that, I finished. He understood exactly what
- 8:34Speaker 9: I said. He had on bag, yet he usually not.
- 8:37Speaker 9: He don't win fit the clothes.
- 8:38Speaker 8: He is not coming, he don't speaking, he is conversation
- 8:43Speaker 8: what he's not.
- 8:44Speaker 7: It didn't offend me coming from you, But I have
- 8:45Speaker 7: been offended by similar comments in the past when I've
- 8:48Speaker 7: been insecured by my weight.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Because energy came from a buddy you was in place.
- 8:54Speaker 8: It is offensive to him. He's buttering you up because
- 8:56Speaker 8: he's not coming. He's not gonna be like, yeah, that
- 8:58Speaker 8: was fucking offensive. He knows you.
- 9:00Speaker 9: You Oh, by the way, right, you said yo, you
- 9:01Speaker 9: can't say that after I said it.
- 9:03Speaker 4: It would have been clear we weren't even thinking about
- 9:06Speaker 4: it right now.
- 9:06Speaker 8: If you ain't bring it up, is it okay to
- 9:09Speaker 8: mention weight to somebody you.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Wouldn't even say that if that was a g you
- 9:13Speaker 6: ain't say, yo, that's crazy.
- 9:15Speaker 3: No.
- 9:15Speaker 2: But I think I think also too, because it happens
- 9:18Speaker 2: with women, and it's worse with women because you go
- 9:20Speaker 2: home after you ain't been home, like you go home.
- 9:21Speaker 3: From college, and your grandma like, ooh girl, like da.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I think like with men, the assumption is that a
- 9:26Speaker 2: man is not going to care, because it's less of
- 9:28Speaker 2: a social stigma for men. But I still think that
- 9:31Speaker 2: it's a fuck up like thing to point out one
- 9:33Speaker 2: way or the other, especially if you don't like because
- 9:36Speaker 2: you don't know, like that man could be on chemo
- 9:37Speaker 2: right now.
- 9:38Speaker 8: We like none of you noticed from Chadwick. Yeah, when
- 9:40Speaker 8: people was literally saying, oh he looks sick. Oh he
- 9:44Speaker 8: lose he lost too much weight. Oh maybe he's for
- 9:46Speaker 8: a role.
- 9:47Speaker 4: That's different.
- 9:47Speaker 6: And next thing you know, he was going, you look sick.
- 9:49Speaker 4: It's different from like losing weight.
- 9:51Speaker 8: But people, but people wasn't that. People were not giving
- 9:54Speaker 8: him that you know what I mean, that grace like
- 9:58Speaker 8: you know, maybe something going on. They just like, now
- 10:00Speaker 8: he lost too much weight, he looked crazy, and next
- 10:02Speaker 8: thing you know, he was going.
- 10:04Speaker 4: That's still different because.
- 10:07Speaker 6: Now he lost too much weight.
- 10:09Speaker 4: He looked crazy compared.
- 10:10Speaker 6: To oh you're losing a little weight, bro.
- 10:12Speaker 9: He could be sick, yo, please, It could be said
- 10:16Speaker 9: please yo, yes, yes, crazy that I'm sick.
- 10:23Speaker 2: You might not know that speed, but that like all
- 10:28Speaker 2: jokes aside. So, I have a tumor, and there was
- 10:31Speaker 2: a point where the tumor was really really bad over
- 10:33Speaker 2: the last two years.
- 10:34Speaker 3: And I was going to chemo and all radiation.
- 10:36Speaker 2: You look at you, and I had lost a lot
- 10:39Speaker 2: of weight, and it was people online like, oh, like
- 10:41Speaker 2: stop the Olympic and X, Y and Z and the
- 10:44Speaker 2: whole time, like I'm in chemo two times a week,
- 10:46Speaker 2: you know. You know, So I think like you just
- 10:48Speaker 2: got to be mindful about like when you men.
- 10:51Speaker 6: He doesn't because he do what he wants.
- 10:56Speaker 10: That's nasty. It's nasty.
- 11:03Speaker 4: I like that. I'm happy to be here, that's right.
- 11:11Speaker 8: It's been a couple of weeks since we'll, I've been
- 11:13Speaker 8: back in the building. Yeah, it was good to have
- 11:15Speaker 8: you back. Hope hasn't been here in what two years?
- 11:18Speaker 6: Two years? Was doge your last time?
- 11:21Speaker 2: You do have never been here every time I've done
- 11:24Speaker 2: so shameless never been.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Here except the virtual except for the live show and
- 11:28Speaker 3: the virtual.
- 11:30Speaker 8: But there's no beef. She we knew Dodge couldn't for weeks.
- 11:34Speaker 8: It just happens that.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Way, right because I realized how that sound. They know,
- 11:37Speaker 2: like everything is good, it's just it never works out.
- 11:40Speaker 8: Yeah, you know she's gonna be like, right is that girl?
- 11:44Speaker 8: Please shout out to Dodge wherever she is. Okay, beefs, beefs, beefs.
- 11:49Speaker 8: The Internet got a beef. Welcome back to so Shameless?
- 11:52Speaker 4: What chill? Yes, all right?
- 11:56Speaker 6: The Internet is mad at Drew Ski again?
- 12:00Speaker 10: Really did you see it dropped? He dropped another was
- 12:05Speaker 10: like and I loved he dropped another classic, very muscle
- 12:10Speaker 10: classic for sure. He dropped nothing but classic.
- 12:13Speaker 4: He tries another another skit.
- 12:15Speaker 8: Dressed as a white woman conservative who rock the Twitter
- 12:22Speaker 8: AI identified as Erica Kirk.
- 12:26Speaker 4: I wish I knew what that was, Charlie. I'm about
- 12:29Speaker 4: the loop a little bit bad.
- 12:31Speaker 6: You know who Charlie Cook is?
- 12:33Speaker 4: Maybe if I see his face?
- 12:37Speaker 3: Ya disconnected from from life right now?
- 12:40Speaker 6: He said he do what he wants.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Lie, he said he watched what he wants. Yeah, putting
- 12:50Speaker 4: me on please.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I hope Erica Kirk is Charlie Kirk's widow, but she's
- 12:57Speaker 2: also a sinister evil like tipping all looking as bitch.
- 13:01Speaker 6: All right, hold on, hold on Trump, Trump, you describe her?
- 13:06Speaker 7: Did I like, so that's Erica Kirk. But to know
- 13:10Speaker 7: Erica Kirk, you got it. She's relevant because of who Charlie.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Charlie is who.
- 13:14Speaker 7: Got killed, he got shot or something, and he's basically Republican.
- 13:22Speaker 7: He went on tour with MAGA all types of mega
- 13:27Speaker 7: campaign things, and he was known for like debating people
- 13:31Speaker 7: on college campuses, students, children, and known for his racist
- 13:37Speaker 7: mega thoughts and views. And he was praised by mega
- 13:42Speaker 7: by Donald Trump, and they like when he was killed,
- 13:45Speaker 7: he was they like stopped the what they do. They
- 13:49Speaker 7: raised the flag staff, things like that.
- 13:52Speaker 2: His face is on the Department of Education building now
- 13:55Speaker 2: as a as a litany, and mind you, he's also
- 13:57Speaker 2: the man if.
- 13:59Speaker 6: He don't like I don't know something, I'm sorry.
- 14:02Speaker 2: He was the guy that famously said, like, if I
- 14:04Speaker 2: get on a plane in my posot is black, I'm
- 14:05Speaker 2: going to second guess the flight.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Damn.
- 14:07Speaker 9: That's not to do with that. He was like holding
- 14:09Speaker 9: the person. They made like the skits from him.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I'm trying to think I know, I don't know if
- 14:16Speaker 2: that one was Like, Bro, did.
- 14:17Speaker 6: You see the dude that got shot the neck and
- 14:18Speaker 6: blessed gushing at his neck? That like six seven months ago,
- 14:23Speaker 6: eight months ago.
- 14:24Speaker 7: I will say, Well, before he before he died, I
- 14:26Speaker 7: didn't know him by name, I knew who he was.
- 14:29Speaker 9: Okay, okay, but I know, I know, I know who
- 14:31Speaker 9: you're talking about now. I was never too familiar with
- 14:34Speaker 9: that person until until.
- 14:35Speaker 7: They once he got killed. Now it's like it's.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Everything for sure, got it.
- 14:41Speaker 8: His wife has now been on stages all across America.
- 14:48Speaker 8: I don't say his platform is like gotten larger after
- 14:51Speaker 8: he passed, and they yeah, right, is huge, it's huge.
- 14:56Speaker 3: They're putting it in schools. What yes, turning for us.
- 15:00Speaker 2: They will become a nationally recognized school organization. It has
- 15:04Speaker 2: been authorized, so the same way that kids have science
- 15:08Speaker 2: club to teach kids the betterment of American history in
- 15:12Speaker 2: American ways.
- 15:13Speaker 3: So they go to your.
- 15:14Speaker 6: Oh, they're white washing it for real white washing.
- 15:17Speaker 8: So they took the black people out and they threw
- 15:19Speaker 8: mad white shit in there.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Absolutely what they're doing. That's that.
- 15:23Speaker 10: That was the whole thing about like in the education
- 15:25Speaker 10: system where they was where kids can't read certain books
- 15:28Speaker 10: and they can't have certain materials in the classroom. That's
- 15:31Speaker 10: what that all was about, was taking you know, that
- 15:34Speaker 10: information out so that they can put the information that
- 15:36Speaker 10: they wont in like they like in certain classrooms in
- 15:38Speaker 10: my school, this this this woman, they had like a
- 15:43Speaker 10: slavery lesson or whatever, and a parent came in and
- 15:46Speaker 10: was like, Yo, I do not want my kid learning
- 15:48Speaker 10: about slavery from y'all. If they're gonna learn about slavery,
- 15:50Speaker 10: it's going to be from me. So the way that
- 15:53Speaker 10: just information is being received today is in a crazy place,
- 15:57Speaker 10: and we're talking about stuff like slavery like shit, that's
- 15:59Speaker 10: just you know, just the fact. So that's where we're
- 16:02Speaker 10: at today in real life.
- 16:07Speaker 3: You know, textbooks are going to be different, like every
- 16:10Speaker 3: everything is going.
- 16:10Speaker 4: To be to erase a low history, right, It's.
- 16:14Speaker 2: They've already done. You know, they got rid of ap
- 16:18Speaker 2: African American studies. They're getting rid of the way that
- 16:20Speaker 2: we talk about slavery. They're trying to actually remove the
- 16:25Speaker 2: slavery portion periods so that the kids don't have to
- 16:27Speaker 2: talk about it because they believe that dismantling it will
- 16:30Speaker 2: somehow because what they call it white guilt. So the
- 16:34Speaker 2: white people who get it and feel bad about it,
- 16:37Speaker 2: they want to dismantle those white people. So if we
- 16:39Speaker 2: stop teaching it, you don't have to feel bad about
- 16:40Speaker 2: it because you don't.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Know what that happened.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Yeah, we do get this. I need to be I
- 16:45Speaker 4: need to get better at that.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to.
- 16:49Speaker 8: Speaking of slavery the United Nations? Yes, did it an
- 16:58Speaker 8: investigation or then came up to a vote about the
- 17:02Speaker 8: trans Atlantic slave trade?
- 17:04Speaker 6: Do you know what that is?
- 17:05Speaker 4: No joking? Why would you ask that though? Why would you?
- 17:13Speaker 4: Why would you ask?
- 17:14Speaker 9: If you know, you could have told, you could have
- 17:17Speaker 9: told the story, you.
- 17:19Speaker 6: Didn't have to ask you. Maybe maybe maybe you're expecting more.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm so sorry.
- 17:25Speaker 6: No no, no, no, no.
- 17:26Speaker 8: Maybe maybe maybe you're expecting more from this because I.
- 17:30Speaker 6: Believe you know what it is, because you can't swear.
- 17:32Speaker 8: He does nothing but read, trust me, hope Trump, he
- 17:36Speaker 8: does nothing but read, So he he knows the trans
- 17:41Speaker 8: Atlantic slave trade.
- 17:46Speaker 4: I don't know what that is. Bro like this film.
- 17:49Speaker 7: I mean, maybe he hasn't heard it referred in that way.
- 17:52Speaker 9: Yeah, okay, slavery, Yeah, I like that song.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Trans Atlantic was Basically, the it's the transporting of the
- 18:01Speaker 7: Europeans that went to Africa and took enslaved Africans across
- 18:06Speaker 7: the Atlantic Ocean, and that created the diaspora into the
- 18:11Speaker 7: Caribbean and into the United States, and that all came
- 18:15Speaker 7: across the Atlantic Ocean. So that's what it's called the
- 18:18Speaker 7: trans Atlantic slave Try got it, which is different. So
- 18:21Speaker 7: because a lot it's an important term because a lot
- 18:24Speaker 7: of people be like, oh, well, slavery has been around
- 18:25Speaker 7: for thousands of years in Egypt, but never has have
- 18:29Speaker 7: you taken people from one space across an entire ocean
- 18:34Speaker 7: into another space. So it created it made it very difference.
- 18:38Speaker 8: Okay, the United Nations has voted one hundred and twenty
- 18:43Speaker 8: three to three in favor to condemn the enslavement of
- 18:48Speaker 8: millions of Africans and the Transatlantic slave trade.
- 18:52Speaker 6: The three countries that voted.
- 18:54Speaker 8: Against the condemnation of the Transatlantic slave trade the United States, Israel.
- 19:02Speaker 6: Crazy.
- 19:03Speaker 8: Wow, in Argentina, that makes sense.
- 19:09Speaker 10: You know, Argentina is really really racist, like their history
- 19:13Speaker 10: in their country, it's like built into their history.
- 19:17Speaker 4: M hm Argentina.
- 19:19Speaker 10: Yeah, yes, I know, that's a that's a crazy place.
- 19:24Speaker 6: Russia vote for this ship Russian. I'm gone.
- 19:29Speaker 8: I really want to see because I have the breakdown
- 19:31Speaker 8: the resolution tabled by Ghana.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Which is that's a laughable considering that last week they
- 19:38Speaker 2: literally strengthened their laws against queer people to give the
- 19:41Speaker 2: death penalty.
- 19:42Speaker 6: Ghana and Ghana.
- 19:43Speaker 3: That's why I'll never go all of that, Oh go home, bullshit.
- 19:46Speaker 6: Well, I knew that they was very against strict.
- 19:50Speaker 2: And they ain't even strict no more. It's fun, y'all niggas,
- 19:52Speaker 2: then we will kill you. Let us find y'all. Yes,
- 19:55Speaker 2: then it is that serious for them. So to turn
- 19:58Speaker 2: around the week after and do this is laughable to me.
- 20:02Speaker 8: The resolution saw a stiff opposition from both Europe and
- 20:07Speaker 8: North America. Here's a detailed vote right down in some
- 20:10Speaker 8: countries cannot vote because.
- 20:11Speaker 4: Blah blah blah.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Let me see. Is Russia on here?
- 20:14Speaker 8: Russia voted voted for to condemn the Transatlantic slave story.
- 20:20Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 20:21Speaker 7: Why are you surprised? Like Russia is not known for
- 20:23Speaker 7: their racism.
- 20:25Speaker 6: They are.
- 20:26Speaker 3: I think that was a stereotype.
- 20:28Speaker 6: I think they are here.
- 20:34Speaker 7: I mean, well, Caucasian people in general. Once they get
- 20:37Speaker 7: to America, they take advantage of all the white privilege,
- 20:40Speaker 7: So you know, damn son carcassidy is going to happen.
- 20:44Speaker 8: A lot of them did what is it called. A
- 20:52Speaker 8: lot of them just said I'm not going to vote. Basically,
- 20:57Speaker 8: they abstained. That's the word. Some of the countries that
- 21:00Speaker 8: are staying Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Cambodia, I mean, Croatia, Sestia.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Is that a word? Denmark? White people?
- 21:14Speaker 4: What?
- 21:15Speaker 6: Now?
- 21:16Speaker 10: They're also countries who can't really afford to make certain
- 21:19Speaker 10: you know, they got to kind of just France play
- 21:21Speaker 10: play about the book.
- 21:24Speaker 3: That's interesting.
- 21:25Speaker 8: Germany, now France is interesting, Hungary, Italy, Japan.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Other well, Japan has their own thing right now with US.
- 21:36Speaker 6: Switzerland said, leave me out of it. Try to give
- 21:42Speaker 6: me at least me out of it.
- 21:43Speaker 3: They are going to be allegation Ukraine and.
- 21:48Speaker 8: The United Kingdoms. But yo, yeah, man, what do y'all
- 21:52Speaker 8: think about this? The United States saying, now, don't we
- 21:55Speaker 8: don't believe that it was We're not condemning that.
- 21:58Speaker 3: That's how it was built.
- 21:59Speaker 10: Of course they're going because it also to if they
- 22:01Speaker 10: condemn it, how how can you condemn it? And then
- 22:03Speaker 10: go into the schools and say that it never happened exactly,
- 22:07Speaker 10: see what I'm saying, So just from just the whole
- 22:09Speaker 10: structure of it just wouldn't make sense. So they have
- 22:11Speaker 10: to kind of go with the whole thing. So we
- 22:13Speaker 10: can't condemn it. We're going to change the history, you
- 22:16Speaker 10: know what I'm saying, So.
- 22:16Speaker 2: It never happens. So how can we condemn something that
- 22:19Speaker 2: never happened?
- 22:19Speaker 3: What you're talking about?
- 22:20Speaker 7: Yea? The United States is probably the most institutionalized racist
- 22:25Speaker 7: country in existence, and has the most blood on their
- 22:30Speaker 7: hands when it comes to the Transatlantic slave trade, and
- 22:32Speaker 7: has benefited the most from it. So of course they're
- 22:36Speaker 7: going to be like, nah, let's not pass this through
- 22:39Speaker 7: United Kingdom as well and France, Italy, They've all benefited greatly.
- 22:45Speaker 7: A lot of this was started, not started, but co
- 22:48Speaker 7: signed by the Italians and the Vatican, the Catholic Church
- 22:53Speaker 7: and stuff like that. So yeah, of course, because if
- 22:57Speaker 7: then if we're allowing this to you know, to devlote
- 23:00Speaker 7: any further than you start digging, then it gets exposed
- 23:03Speaker 7: everybody's wrong doings for all these years, you know what
- 23:06Speaker 7: I mean. They're like, nah, let's not do that.
- 23:09Speaker 6: They couldn't just put an X on it. They couldn't
- 23:10Speaker 6: just substained.
- 23:13Speaker 7: They weren't there against it. They're like, nah, we don't want.
- 23:15Speaker 8: To expose saying no to I just wanted you to
- 23:19Speaker 8: understand we're not going to condemn that.
- 23:23Speaker 7: No, it was necessary because they're the one that's guilty.
- 23:27Speaker 7: If you're a child and you get a vote as
- 23:29Speaker 7: to your guilty, please do They like, nah, I ain't.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Doing it's not my thing is You have to also
- 23:34Speaker 2: realize that they benefited from it.
- 23:36Speaker 3: All of this is not just the one thing. It's
- 23:38Speaker 3: a trickle down effects.
- 23:39Speaker 2: You admit this thing, you have to start thinking about
- 23:40Speaker 2: a real conversation around reparations.
- 23:42Speaker 3: And they've been avoiding that for forever.
- 23:45Speaker 2: You know, like there are so many things that if
- 23:47Speaker 2: they admit to it one way or the other, they
- 23:50Speaker 2: then have to answer for all of these things that
- 23:52Speaker 2: in court they've essentially been pleading the fifth on that
- 23:55Speaker 2: and those places has been safe. But once we together,
- 23:58Speaker 2: as you noted, nations come together and say this is
- 24:00Speaker 2: the thing, now they get to hold y'all accountable. It's
- 24:03Speaker 2: not just the people, it's not the Supreme Court, it's
- 24:04Speaker 2: not you know, some random activist in Arkansas. It is
- 24:08Speaker 2: the United Nations, which is another reason why Trump wanted
- 24:10Speaker 2: to pull them out of that, so that that way
- 24:12Speaker 2: he would not be accountable to them. Y'all can have
- 24:14Speaker 2: an opinion about America, but y'all can't do it because
- 24:16Speaker 2: we're not a part of that.
- 24:17Speaker 3: No more what the United.
- 24:19Speaker 6: Nations, We're not.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Distance and back us out of it. It's nasty because
- 24:28Speaker 2: he wants to be able to do what he, you know,
- 24:30Speaker 2: want to do without.
- 24:31Speaker 11: Consequence what I want to say.
- 24:44Speaker 6: You're looking at me like I'm going to get your back.
- 24:47Speaker 8: So good when you think about this, now that you've
- 24:49Speaker 8: learned all about the translations, I.
- 24:52Speaker 9: Think it's great to learn about. Thus far, I don't
- 24:56Speaker 9: have much to say about it. Like there's people that
- 24:59Speaker 9: have something of importance to say. I don't really have
- 25:01Speaker 9: much to say about that. But it was it was
- 25:03Speaker 9: dope to hear, but hear about it.
- 25:05Speaker 6: I don't think it's dope. I think it's kind of
- 25:08Speaker 6: fucked up.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, yeah, it is.
- 25:10Speaker 9: But the fact that you guys knew it and you
- 25:12Speaker 9: was able to articulate these things, it was it was
- 25:14Speaker 9: dope to me.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Tennessee, if we're going into what Ghana did, right, Because
- 25:20Speaker 8: when I think about.
- 25:22Speaker 6: Leaving New York, eventually I.
- 25:26Speaker 8: So for one one thing, right, I left my garage
- 25:28Speaker 8: here in Brooklyn and moved to Manhattan. I knew wanted
- 25:31Speaker 8: to make myself uncomfortable. I wanted to grow right. And
- 25:36Speaker 8: in doing that, it's opened my mind the other things
- 25:37Speaker 8: that I've been thinking about, like when I moved from
- 25:40Speaker 8: New York, where am I going?
- 25:43Speaker 6: Right?
- 25:44Speaker 8: And I always start Atlanta, Houston, LA. And I'm like,
- 25:51Speaker 8: this a world out here. It's a whole fucking world
- 25:55Speaker 8: out here. Why am I just thinking at these same places,
- 26:00Speaker 8: in this same system when by the time I leave,
- 26:05Speaker 8: I will probably be financially secure enough to go anywhere
- 26:10Speaker 8: and live however the fuck I want. Come to Mexico
- 26:13Speaker 8: City right which I heard Mexico City is one of
- 26:15Speaker 8: the best places for black people. Neighbor you lived there
- 26:18Speaker 8: in Mexico City right now?
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I have an apartment in Mexico City, and I
- 26:22Speaker 2: have a place in California.
- 26:25Speaker 7: Fire.
- 26:26Speaker 6: I heard Mexico City, and there's another town in Mexico.
- 26:29Speaker 6: It starts with the E. I think in and d
- 26:33Speaker 6: oh d so did you ain't celebrate? No?
- 26:37Speaker 4: But he I was away.
- 26:38Speaker 6: We did the Fasciest Yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 8: Yeah, but yeah, there's another city in Mexico that's supposed
- 26:44Speaker 8: to be good for for black people.
- 26:46Speaker 4: Our balley was a good place to move to.
- 26:49Speaker 6: The flight over there is crazy, though, Yeah, like seventeen hours.
- 26:52Speaker 7: I went to Ballei last year September, and I ain't
- 26:56Speaker 7: gonn for I only been there at one time. It's
- 26:58Speaker 7: one of a few places I've been where I'm I live. Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 7: is good money felt, the energy.
- 27:05Speaker 3: The people are beautiful.
- 27:07Speaker 2: The cost of living with American dollars is kiss yeah yeah,
- 27:12Speaker 2: yeah about that type.
- 27:14Speaker 7: Of people, my type of energy, Like they're friendly, but
- 27:18Speaker 7: they're spiritual that they're cool, they laid back. It's a
- 27:22Speaker 7: crowded city too, but you just don't get the same
- 27:25Speaker 7: energy that you normally get in crowded cities.
- 27:27Speaker 4: It's like Jim and Russell Simmons was out there.
- 27:30Speaker 7: Yeah, no extradition.
- 27:33Speaker 9: Yeah yeah, that's my man, that's your Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 8: The reason the reason that the reason I brought this
- 27:45Speaker 8: up is because we don't have to go as far
- 27:47Speaker 8: as Ghana. Ghana was on my list of places to
- 27:50Speaker 8: go for a long time, but we don't have to
- 27:53Speaker 8: go as far as Ghana to see anti l G
- 27:55Speaker 8: B t Q loss Tennessee.
- 27:58Speaker 6: As a matter of fact, just I don't know to
- 28:01Speaker 6: hope that. Did you hear about this? I vaguely, but
- 28:03Speaker 6: refresh me Tennessee. Let me see if I have it here.
- 28:10Speaker 6: It was a couple of weeks ago. So yeah, do
- 28:15Speaker 6: do do do?
- 28:16Speaker 3: Do?
- 28:16Speaker 7: Do?
- 28:16Speaker 6: You know? I always keep things in mind hand.
- 28:18Speaker 7: I wanted to go to Nashville too.
- 28:19Speaker 6: I've never been now.
- 28:21Speaker 2: I mean it's a vibe like I've I've done the
- 28:23Speaker 2: Nashville thing for a bit. But also I don't fuck
- 28:25Speaker 2: with it because the clan is too close. Like outside
- 28:27Speaker 2: of the other shit that they have going on, the
- 28:28Speaker 2: clan is way too close in Tennessee. I'm not sure
- 28:31Speaker 2: if y'all remember the viral video of the young boys
- 28:33Speaker 2: that were just you know, like selling waters or candy
- 28:35Speaker 2: or whatever they were selling. And mind you, these are
- 28:38Speaker 2: not young boys like teenagers. These are young boys like U.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I wanna say, maybe the oldest one might have been twelve,
- 28:44Speaker 2: but they were given like ten like amongst them, and
- 28:49Speaker 2: they were selling their stuff. These white grown ass men
- 28:52Speaker 2: come over and start calling them niggers and nigglets, and
- 28:55Speaker 2: you know, antagonizing these boys, and the police come over
- 28:59Speaker 2: and tell the boys that they have to go, and
- 29:03Speaker 2: this is why, mind you, the men did not stop
- 29:05Speaker 2: when the police walked up. So the police are in
- 29:07Speaker 2: the scene as they're being called niggers and nigglets and
- 29:11Speaker 2: get to get the fuck on and da da da da,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and the police come over as these young boys are agitated,
- 29:15Speaker 2: saying like, you know, like they trying to respect and
- 29:18Speaker 2: that's the other thing, like we're still taught.
- 29:19Speaker 3: To respect our elders.
- 29:20Speaker 2: So they're stuck between respecting these men because they are
- 29:24Speaker 2: still adults, but also being called niggers in broad daylight.
- 29:28Speaker 2: And then these people that are supposed to save our kids,
- 29:30Speaker 2: the one that we tell our kids like police go
- 29:32Speaker 2: go find them, come over and say like y'all are
- 29:34Speaker 2: the problem.
- 29:35Speaker 3: And that was like a huge thing.
- 29:37Speaker 2: And then Tennessee has, like notoriously since all of this
- 29:40Speaker 2: stuff has happened, been a space where the proud boys
- 29:43Speaker 2: have marched proudly in the streets with their swastikas and.
- 29:46Speaker 3: All of that stuff.
- 29:46Speaker 2: And so for me, there's not enough blackness in Tennessee
- 29:50Speaker 2: to combat that because I don't see the counter to that.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I don't see black men also turning around and saying,
- 29:56Speaker 2: y'all got as fucked up? And so I just don't
- 29:59Speaker 2: think that for as good of a drinking spot, for
- 30:01Speaker 2: as awesome as the night life might be, I don't
- 30:04Speaker 2: know how black people would feel safe when those types
- 30:08Speaker 2: of things happen on a regular and there's not enough
- 30:11Speaker 2: people that have been angered by it to do a
- 30:14Speaker 2: counter or something.
- 30:14Speaker 8: Do you think that really black men have the power
- 30:16Speaker 8: to shift that, Yes, in Tennessee, I do.
- 30:20Speaker 3: I think that.
- 30:20Speaker 2: The first of all, what I don't like is that
- 30:22Speaker 2: we have so many conversations, these podcasts in regular everyday
- 30:26Speaker 2: smakele of conversations about alpha men and black men and
- 30:29Speaker 2: if you just let black men lead, and I'm not
- 30:31Speaker 2: going to be a black man and be led by
- 30:32Speaker 2: no cissy, no fact, no punk.
- 30:33Speaker 6: No one say that it's not and they don't people
- 30:38Speaker 6: that people that I don't.
- 30:39Speaker 8: Believe none of the niggas that say all that for men,
- 30:42Speaker 8: and and that y'all niggas ISAs niggas.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Don't say that, y'all.
- 30:46Speaker 6: You just let you lead by example.
- 30:48Speaker 3: You just are, That's what you are.
- 30:50Speaker 6: Just exist that way. All that extra shiit you talk
- 30:53Speaker 6: about preach about it gives up.
- 30:56Speaker 8: So this is what I'm saying. You just brought that
- 30:58Speaker 8: up as a reason. Well, all the taught them is
- 31:00Speaker 8: not to it's gonna go against the police. I ain't
- 31:03Speaker 8: changed the change the city, or change the town, or
- 31:06Speaker 8: change the state.
- 31:06Speaker 6: It's not happened.
- 31:07Speaker 2: But the thing about that is those are the voices
- 31:10Speaker 2: that are galvanized in our community. And when people want
- 31:13Speaker 2: to justify why they don't fuck with a Jasmine Crockett,
- 31:16Speaker 2: why they wouldn't follow a Deray McKesson, why they wouldn't
- 31:20Speaker 2: fuck with me, they use, oh, well, why would I
- 31:23Speaker 2: do that?
- 31:24Speaker 3: Why would I follow this training?
- 31:25Speaker 2: When I got a doctor Umar that I could follow,
- 31:28Speaker 2: And y'all still wait on that school to be built
- 31:30Speaker 2: twenty years.
- 31:31Speaker 6: Later, your doctor? What happened to doctor Umar? Is he
- 31:34Speaker 6: still around?
- 31:35Speaker 7: He was breakfast club.
- 31:37Speaker 6: He's fucking sukie, so he's not making as many videos anymore, A.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Good paying African Kucci.
- 31:44Speaker 7: Absolutely, he said he's just he said the school is done.
- 31:47Speaker 7: He's just waiting on the permits.
- 31:49Speaker 3: I bet.
- 31:50Speaker 7: And he said that there's some inspectors that's blocking it.
- 31:53Speaker 6: I bet, I bet I believe that.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I don't believe shit that come out of that man mouth.
- 32:00Speaker 6: Would you send your kids to Doctor Omar School?
- 32:02Speaker 4: No?
- 32:02Speaker 6: Why?
- 32:04Speaker 7: Well, because it's just I don't want my kid to
- 32:07Speaker 7: be a test on me. It could be a great school,
- 32:08Speaker 7: but I don't know yet, and it's just so many
- 32:11Speaker 7: things that could possibly go wrong, even if his intentions
- 32:14Speaker 7: are good, and I do believe his intentions are good.
- 32:16Speaker 7: But yeah, I just need to see a little bit more.
- 32:20Speaker 7: I don't want to be rolling the dice that.
- 32:22Speaker 8: I respect that anyway, what I was saying, Tennessee, Damn,
- 32:29Speaker 8: I did it again, didnt. Tennessee Republicans voted unanimously to
- 32:34Speaker 8: advance an anti trans bill to create a public list
- 32:38Speaker 8: of trans people located in the state.
- 32:44Speaker 6: House.
- 32:44Speaker 8: Bill seven fifty four would force medical providers to provide
- 32:48Speaker 8: information to the state and identify a states.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Yes, that's the test of that, because now that you
- 32:56Speaker 2: said it, that's the battle.
- 32:57Speaker 3: That's the testing ground.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Do you have Mississippi that's trying to come up behind them?
- 33:02Speaker 2: And if I'm not mistaken, I think Texas is also
- 33:05Speaker 2: like a part of that little group, but they're the
- 33:07Speaker 2: testing ground. But what's funny is the amount of black
- 33:12Speaker 2: people cheering it on and clapping. Just know, like they
- 33:16Speaker 2: start with us, y'all next, right, Like I hope y'all know,
- 33:19Speaker 2: like it starts with the trainings because they know that
- 33:22Speaker 2: nobody's gonna beat any lass. It's like, oh, y'all gonna
- 33:24Speaker 2: look for them, Yeah, them motherfuckers down so we can
- 33:26Speaker 2: find them. And then what happens when they find all
- 33:28Speaker 2: of us and they ain't got nothing else to do,
- 33:30Speaker 2: They go to the next group of people that they
- 33:31Speaker 2: can't stand.
- 33:33Speaker 3: And now the marginalized.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Group of people that would have stood with us to
- 33:36Speaker 2: help us out, y'all, y'all done got all of them
- 33:38Speaker 2: deported or killed or they locked up somewhere in D
- 33:42Speaker 2: block because you rooted for that. But now you need
- 33:45Speaker 2: those groups of people that would have helped to the numbers,
- 33:47Speaker 2: and you don't have them, so now it's easier to
- 33:49Speaker 2: get rid of y'all.
- 33:50Speaker 7: So you know, I'm sorry, I'm just gonna say and
- 33:53Speaker 7: correct me if I'm going. But from what I understand,
- 33:56Speaker 7: those of the black folks that are inter trends are
- 33:58Speaker 7: that way because they're like for Christian and they believe
- 34:02Speaker 7: it goes against their beliefs or against their God or
- 34:04Speaker 7: against their Bible.
- 34:05Speaker 3: That's what they say. That's what they say.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Most of the people that I know that claim to
- 34:10Speaker 2: be so anti trans couldn't even tell me Psalms twenty three, right,
- 34:14Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. And so it's one of
- 34:16Speaker 2: those things where I think that people lean on.
- 34:18Speaker 3: That because that's the easy out.
- 34:20Speaker 2: It's easier to say, well, the Bible says than to
- 34:23Speaker 2: say I don't fuck with it. Because my daddy taught
- 34:25Speaker 2: me that, and I never wanted to unlearn it because
- 34:26Speaker 2: it was easier to just accept what he taught me.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Nobody wants to look like the ignorant person in the room,
- 34:33Speaker 2: and sometimes growing up realizing that the thing that you
- 34:36Speaker 2: were taught was wrong takes too much.
- 34:39Speaker 3: It's easier for me to just continue to be this
- 34:41Speaker 3: nigga because women like this nigga. I get pussy being
- 34:44Speaker 3: this nigga.
- 34:44Speaker 2: But if I start having friends, if I start being accepting,
- 34:46Speaker 2: I start being open, questions.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Come about that I don't feel like answering.
- 34:50Speaker 2: So I'm gonna just remain homo and Transmissic, I'm gonna
- 34:53Speaker 2: let your all niggas think the things.
- 34:55Speaker 3: I'm not going to really engage. But Missic, Missic, you told.
- 35:00Speaker 6: Me about it yesterday.
- 35:01Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, she told me the whole new word that
- 35:04Speaker 8: they so missia.
- 35:08Speaker 6: They sounds crazy good.
- 35:09Speaker 3: But missia is the messia who's that. It's the and
- 35:15Speaker 3: it's an adaptation of the word and is it good?
- 35:18Speaker 2: But missia is where it comes from, and it's an
- 35:20Speaker 2: unfounded hatred or disdain for So depending on the tenths
- 35:23Speaker 2: that you're using it in, you would say, like, somebody
- 35:25Speaker 2: is engaging in transmissia, or this person is transmissic or
- 35:29Speaker 2: homo missic.
- 35:30Speaker 7: Is different from phobia.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Because niggas like to play semantics.
- 35:34Speaker 2: So when you say, oh, trum, you homophobic, fuck you me,
- 35:38Speaker 2: and I ain't scared of y'all.
- 35:39Speaker 3: I ain't got time to that. I'm sick of it.
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm sick of that.
- 35:41Speaker 2: And so when I hit you with transmistic one, you
- 35:44Speaker 2: don't know it, so you got to think about it
- 35:45Speaker 2: before you just did not denounce it, right. But then
- 35:48Speaker 2: once I tell you what it means, dare you to
- 35:51Speaker 2: tell me that you don't hate me or that you
- 35:52Speaker 2: don't have an unfounded for no reason?
- 35:55Speaker 7: Because phobia is based in fear.
- 35:56Speaker 3: It's based in fear.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Same ship and toilet, So now you're either going to
- 36:02Speaker 2: go against everything that you just said, because you did
- 36:04Speaker 2: just say I don't fuck with that ship, and miss
- 36:07Speaker 2: it means you don't fuck with that ship.
- 36:08Speaker 3: So now you can't.
- 36:09Speaker 2: You can't play sometis with me no more, because I'm
- 36:11Speaker 2: sick of the whole.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Like we ain't scared of y'all. We just don't want
- 36:14Speaker 3: y'all do. Okay, So you're a hateful person for no reason.
- 36:17Speaker 8: I'm baby Mama, miss it, Christaby Mama.
- 36:21Speaker 6: Miss it. But it's not unfounded.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a reason. I'm sure. I'm sure there's a
- 36:34Speaker 3: reason of why you feel like that.
- 36:38Speaker 8: Hope, every time you come on these shows, you're speaking
- 36:42Speaker 8: about trans rights and your disappointment with this lack of
- 36:47Speaker 8: support or people being fake or whatever it may be.
- 36:51Speaker 8: Is that a conversation you want to have today because
- 36:52Speaker 8: we don't have to.
- 36:53Speaker 3: I don't.
- 36:54Speaker 6: I don't.
- 36:54Speaker 2: My thing is I think that it comes up because
- 36:58Speaker 2: people don't know what else that's talk to me about, well,
- 37:01Speaker 2: at least.
- 37:01Speaker 3: In the yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 6: Road.
- 37:06Speaker 2: I mean, look, first of all, you brought up Tennessee
- 37:08Speaker 2: and you had a whole thing cooked.
- 37:10Speaker 6: And I was like, well you gotta go that far.
- 37:12Speaker 2: But look, but I bought that up because it was
- 37:14Speaker 2: relevant in the in the situation, I think that it's
- 37:17Speaker 2: just hypocritical that y'all are going to be on this like, oh,
- 37:21Speaker 2: we got to recognize this, but y'alln't want to recognize that.
- 37:23Speaker 2: And I even saw like somebody in the discord was like,
- 37:25Speaker 2: but how are they the same?
- 37:26Speaker 3: And that to me is somebody that.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Has to challenge the homo or transmissia that they hold.
- 37:32Speaker 2: And it's because when you sit back and say, well,
- 37:34Speaker 2: how are they the same?
- 37:34Speaker 6: What you mean?
- 37:35Speaker 2: There are civil rights issues and I hate when black
- 37:37Speaker 2: people be like, but it's not, but it is. When
- 37:40Speaker 2: you take away a person's right to experience life the
- 37:44Speaker 2: way that everybody else would experience it based off of
- 37:47Speaker 2: a dislike that you have of something that does not
- 37:50Speaker 2: affect people negatively, you are infringing on a person's civil rights.
- 37:56Speaker 2: That is a civil rights issue. Me being trans does
- 37:58Speaker 2: not stop you from paying your bill, sending your kids
- 38:00Speaker 2: to school, living a happy life, being healthy, Fucking who you.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Want to fuck. I am just trans.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Nothing in your life changed today because somebody came out
- 38:07Speaker 2: to their mother and said, you know what, I believe
- 38:10Speaker 2: I'm a trans person. But for whatever reason you got
- 38:13Speaker 2: a issue, those things are intrinsically linked.
- 38:17Speaker 3: And so if the.
- 38:17Speaker 2: People in Ghana who probably had that conversation on the
- 38:21Speaker 2: same day, can sit back and say, you know what,
- 38:25Speaker 2: we are sick and tired of these faggots, and from
- 38:28Speaker 2: now on, if we find out that you a faggot
- 38:30Speaker 2: in Ghana.
- 38:32Speaker 3: You are going to die.
- 38:34Speaker 2: Then turned around, five minutes after banging and gabbling saying yep,
- 38:37Speaker 2: we agree, had the nerve to talk about human rights
- 38:40Speaker 2: for people in the whole nother country and say.
- 38:43Speaker 3: That was fucked up.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Black people being brought into slavery, being disenfranchised, being told
- 38:49Speaker 2: that they can't have health care, being told that they
- 38:51Speaker 2: can't be with their families is fucked up. But what's
- 38:54Speaker 2: happening in real time and what you are doing as
- 38:56Speaker 2: a country to your.
- 38:57Speaker 6: Own CITIZENSK yes, you don't think, but yes if I can.
- 39:02Speaker 8: If so, people look at things through different lenses, right,
- 39:05Speaker 8: So it's like, Yo, what I see happening in this
- 39:07Speaker 8: thin I somehow can separate it from what's in that
- 39:11Speaker 8: in that vein.
- 39:12Speaker 6: They they're able to do that.
- 39:14Speaker 2: And that's the fucking problem because as a black person,
- 39:16Speaker 2: I don't get to not be black and trends at
- 39:18Speaker 2: the same fucking time. You get to just be black
- 39:22Speaker 2: and people be like, oh, but you can choose. No
- 39:24Speaker 2: the fuck I can't. Because my thing is, if it
- 39:26Speaker 2: was that much of a choice, and if it wasn't
- 39:28Speaker 2: a thing that we were born into, how the fuck
- 39:30Speaker 2: y'all be looking at these little boys four or five
- 39:32Speaker 2: years old? Oh he got a little sugar in his tank?
- 39:35Speaker 3: Is that a choice?
- 39:36Speaker 2: Are those manimism is a thing that he was taught?
- 39:38Speaker 2: Is that a thing that he's grown into? Or is
- 39:40Speaker 2: that just who the fuck that person is and we
- 39:43Speaker 2: recognize it because we're adults we've lived longer. Or is
- 39:45Speaker 2: that just who that person is? He is that person
- 39:49Speaker 2: and he is both of those things at the same time.
- 39:50Speaker 6: But neither.
- 39:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they don't.
- 39:54Speaker 6: They might look at him, they might look at him
- 39:56Speaker 6: at that way.
- 39:57Speaker 8: So what I'm saying when you compare those two things, right,
- 40:01Speaker 8: slavery and what happened with slavery and them not accepting
- 40:04Speaker 8: trans people or LGBT.
- 40:07Speaker 6: I think it's all LGBT. I don't think they like
- 40:08Speaker 6: none of it.
- 40:09Speaker 3: But but trans is the thing that they put on
- 40:11Speaker 3: the docket.
- 40:12Speaker 6: Oh it's trans they put they.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Don't say LGBT no more.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Every headline, every bill specifically names trans people.
- 40:20Speaker 8: Do you realize that people in elders in the black
- 40:25Speaker 8: community are not as progressive progressive as a younger one.
- 40:31Speaker 3: I don't give a funk about none of that.
- 40:33Speaker 6: Do you realize it?
- 40:34Speaker 8: I do so if that's the case, and that's here
- 40:38Speaker 8: in America, conversations that are happening here in America. I'm
- 40:42Speaker 8: not sure what conversations are happening there, but I would
- 40:44Speaker 8: assume those are elders. I'm not, And it sounds like
- 40:47Speaker 8: I'm making excuses for I'm really just having a conversation,
- 40:51Speaker 8: you know where I stand. Are we able to say, yeah,
- 40:55Speaker 8: that's because they're not as progressive?
- 40:57Speaker 2: They are not when you are talking about actively rolling
- 41:03Speaker 2: back people, And that's what that's the part that y'all.
- 41:05Speaker 3: I don't know why that's like that.
- 41:07Speaker 2: That part, it's like I'm speaking English until I say
- 41:10Speaker 2: rolling back people sitting.
- 41:10Speaker 3: Then all of a sudden, I feel like y'all think
- 41:12Speaker 3: I'm speaking German.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Because if I were having this conversation to talk specifically
- 41:16Speaker 2: about the things that they do to black men, y'all
- 41:18Speaker 2: would be tuned in and everything that I say would
- 41:20Speaker 2: make sense, but I say they are rolling back our rights.
- 41:24Speaker 3: This is not just not being progressive.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Not being progressive is I don't understand that shit, so
- 41:29Speaker 2: keep it over there, because that don't make sense to me.
- 41:32Speaker 3: This is not that there.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Are elders that don't vote for shit use but they
- 41:36Speaker 2: hear something about a training and all of a sudden
- 41:37Speaker 2: they down to the vote in booth because oh, we
- 41:40Speaker 2: can't have that.
- 41:41Speaker 3: There are people who don't know nothing about the trade.
- 41:44Speaker 2: Not not a dig, but like, there are people who
- 41:45Speaker 2: don't know nothing about the transplanting and slave trade. But
- 41:48Speaker 2: you tell them, oh, if you go down hand vote
- 41:49Speaker 2: against this, your kids. I got to learn about transhit
- 41:51Speaker 2: in school, and they down there. This is a problem
- 41:55Speaker 2: because you are disenfranchising a group of people who don't
- 41:58Speaker 2: affect your life in any the way than existing. And
- 42:01Speaker 2: I hate the conversation and I kind of don't want
- 42:04Speaker 2: to go there because there are no other women here
- 42:06Speaker 2: for real on show at least to have this conversation
- 42:08Speaker 2: with me.
- 42:09Speaker 3: But I know that there's gonna be a.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Woman that'll see this that'll say, but y'all are because
- 42:13Speaker 2: y'all in our bathrooms and not in our gyms. We've
- 42:15Speaker 2: been there, bitch, We've been there. I've been going to
- 42:17Speaker 2: the bathroom. I've been doing the things. This became a
- 42:19Speaker 2: thing when them white people told you to make it
- 42:22Speaker 2: a thing. Yes, because I'm black and I give a fuck,
- 42:27Speaker 2: and I hate the fact that be because I'm treands
- 42:29Speaker 2: and because I'm trends.
- 42:31Speaker 3: All the rest of the that I'm saying doesn't matter
- 42:34Speaker 3: to some people.
- 42:35Speaker 6: Oh no, I don't think, Well, but it doesn't. I
- 42:37Speaker 6: know what you mean. I know what you mean. It
- 42:38Speaker 6: doesn't and people take offense to it.
- 42:41Speaker 7: I got a question, are you religious?
- 42:44Speaker 3: Spiritual?
- 42:45Speaker 4: Okay?
- 42:46Speaker 7: And so I feel the same. So the reason why
- 42:48Speaker 7: I asked that and agatting back to my other comment
- 42:50Speaker 7: about some of the like super Christians, I feel like
- 42:55Speaker 7: and for older black people, to Tahoe's point, a lot
- 42:57Speaker 7: of them are struck in their religion where they can't
- 43:01Speaker 7: they feel like they can't align themselves with the LGBTQ community.
- 43:06Speaker 7: Interestingly enough, like I went last few months, I've been
- 43:09Speaker 7: going down my spiritual religious rabbit hole, and I was
- 43:14Speaker 7: listening to some stuff from Farakahn and he's one of
- 43:18Speaker 7: my favorite. I don't know how I would describe him,
- 43:24Speaker 7: but I love the way he champions black people.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 43:28Speaker 7: That being said, like most activists and like most people,
- 43:33Speaker 7: they have the things that I don't agree with. Right,
- 43:35Speaker 7: And this is why I can't personally prescribe to any religion,
- 43:38Speaker 7: because there's something about his faith that would stop him
- 43:43Speaker 7: from championing championing your rights, you know what I mean.
- 43:47Speaker 7: And not to put that on him, because he didn't
- 43:49Speaker 7: say that, but I heard his speeches where he would
- 43:52Speaker 7: tiptoe around it, you know what I mean. Somebody asked
- 43:55Speaker 7: him like if if there were any homosexual that were
- 44:00Speaker 7: a part of the Millionare march, and he was like,
- 44:03Speaker 7: they're all welcome. He said absolutely, he said, but basically
- 44:07Speaker 7: he didn't say. I'm paraphrasing, but he basically said, like
- 44:11Speaker 7: how they used to do the military back in the day,
- 44:13Speaker 7: Like don't ask, don't tell, Like I don't have to
- 44:16Speaker 7: know that. But my question to him, if he was
- 44:19Speaker 7: in front of me, would be like what if you
- 44:20Speaker 7: did know? And what if they were outwardly they would
- 44:24Speaker 7: that be an issue? And that might be an issue
- 44:26Speaker 7: because of his faith, you know what I mean. And
- 44:29Speaker 7: that's where I feel like most people that prescribe to
- 44:31Speaker 7: religion will have an issue with your community, and I
- 44:36Speaker 7: think that might be a big part of the problem.
- 44:38Speaker 2: But the thing about that is, if we look at
- 44:40Speaker 2: history Byared Rustin was the organizer of the million man March,
- 44:45Speaker 2: of the March on Washington, Sorry, Bared Ruston. And that's
- 44:47Speaker 2: the thing, the fact that you even saying who what
- 44:50Speaker 2: you mean who? He was Martin Luther King's And I'm
- 44:52Speaker 2: not saying that. It's one of those things where I'm like,
- 44:55Speaker 2: the history that is being rewritten to make it seem
- 44:58Speaker 2: like queer people ain't doing nothing but slinging around glitter
- 45:01Speaker 2: and making black men look feminine and weak.
- 45:04Speaker 3: It's bullshit.
- 45:05Speaker 2: Bayard Rustin was Martin Luther King's right hand man the
- 45:10Speaker 2: entirety of the civil rights movement, and if there were
- 45:12Speaker 2: no Bayered Rusting, there would be no March on Washington.
- 45:16Speaker 2: One of the largest civil rights actions that we did
- 45:19Speaker 2: to this date was picked up, put out, spun into
- 45:24Speaker 2: a web by a black gay man and given to
- 45:27Speaker 2: doctor Martin Luther King because they understood the time that
- 45:29Speaker 2: we lived in, and they knew that Bayer couldn't get
- 45:31Speaker 2: them people out there. But Bayer got the buses, got
- 45:34Speaker 2: the porter potties. Byer made sure that the things happened
- 45:36Speaker 2: the day before they pressed doctor Martin Luther King and
- 45:39Speaker 2: Byered went up there and was like, y'all got us
- 45:41Speaker 2: fucked up. This is still happening openly gay. It wasn't
- 45:45Speaker 2: a secret, it wasn't hidden, it wasn't none of that.
- 45:47Speaker 2: This man was an openly gay black man who was
- 45:50Speaker 2: one of the best civil rights movement leaders, and most
- 45:53Speaker 2: black people don't know about him, and when they find
- 45:55Speaker 2: out about him, they still bury him.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Was James. It was a thing that we kind of knew,
- 46:01Speaker 3: but we didn't talk about.
- 46:06Speaker 7: You know who that is.
- 46:10Speaker 6: We know who he is.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Of course it was a dig. You're right.
- 46:19Speaker 8: I don't like I don't like debating about things like
- 46:22Speaker 8: this with Hope because I could tell how not only passionate,
- 46:26Speaker 8: but how much it really affects you.
- 46:30Speaker 2: We're all black, and when they come down the street
- 46:33Speaker 2: looking for us, should that day come when these crackers
- 46:37Speaker 2: finally say, you know, we're scared enough to make a
- 46:39Speaker 2: move and bust of grape, They're not going to give
- 46:41Speaker 2: a fuck that I'm trans.
- 46:42Speaker 3: But the nigga next to me is.
- 46:45Speaker 2: That's the that's the thing that's wild to me. And
- 46:52Speaker 2: the thing that's wild to me about it is that
- 46:55Speaker 2: it don't matter what these black like I've advocated for
- 46:59Speaker 2: men and deaths who had been killed by the police,
- 47:01Speaker 2: who might have in his life, turned around and said,
- 47:03Speaker 2: oh fuck that training. I don't know if George Floyd
- 47:07Speaker 2: was transmistic. I don't know if George Floyd was fucking
- 47:09Speaker 2: with the girls. And here I am on my platform
- 47:12Speaker 2: talking about this black man's death, because how dare you
- 47:15Speaker 2: that was fucked up? I don't give before. I don't
- 47:17Speaker 2: care what kind of drugs he was on. I don't
- 47:18Speaker 2: care what kind of father he was or wasn't. The
- 47:20Speaker 2: way that you murdered him was not okay. And there
- 47:23Speaker 2: are black people that can't put that aside when the
- 47:26Speaker 2: girls are being murdered by niggas that they were fucking
- 47:30Speaker 2: And it's crazy.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Because they don't matter what the headline says.
- 47:33Speaker 2: The headline can say trans women killed by her boyfriend.
- 47:37Speaker 2: The police can put in the report that they knew
- 47:39Speaker 2: that it was a sustained relationship, and it's still gonna
- 47:42Speaker 2: be put just in the comments.
- 47:43Speaker 3: Y'all shouldn't be tricking Peple. Y'all shouldn't y'all gotta tell people.
- 47:47Speaker 2: So the fact that this man brutally murdered this woman,
- 47:49Speaker 2: severed her body into different parts and selled her down
- 47:51Speaker 2: different parts of the river, y'all don't care about that
- 47:54Speaker 2: as long as y'all can say that the black man
- 47:56Speaker 2: is absolved because he had to be tricked in order for.
- 47:59Speaker 3: That to happen.
- 48:00Speaker 2: But when you look at black LGBT people and when
- 48:03Speaker 2: you look at our work, the people who started Black
- 48:05Speaker 2: Lives Matter moveing, no matter how you feel about it,
- 48:07Speaker 2: no matter what it's become or wasn't, were black queer women,
- 48:13Speaker 2: black queer women. Deray McKesson, one of the largest voices
- 48:17Speaker 2: at the time for Black Lives Matter was a gay
- 48:19Speaker 2: black man. And the thing about it was that a
- 48:22Speaker 2: lot of that people talk about how it lost movement
- 48:24Speaker 2: and momentum because the money was funny. No, when niggas
- 48:27Speaker 2: realized that it was lesbians and a fag doing.
- 48:31Speaker 3: This work, they no longer wanted to support it.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Because it's more important to us that black men who
- 48:38Speaker 2: are a stereotype lead and be seen as the than
- 48:43Speaker 2: it does for us to be led by women who
- 48:45Speaker 2: are capable and or queer people who are just as capable,
- 48:49Speaker 2: if not more. A lot of the time, when you
- 48:51Speaker 2: see the people that are doing the work, and when
- 48:52Speaker 2: you see people getting their ass boop and going to
- 48:54Speaker 2: jail and fighting and freedom doing the shit, it is
- 48:56Speaker 2: queer people and women, all of these niggas begging for
- 48:59Speaker 2: all of this attention in time, And da da da
- 49:00Speaker 2: da da, where the fuck are you at? Because right
- 49:02Speaker 2: now we need the Nation of Islam at these airports
- 49:06Speaker 2: to antagonize in these motherfuckers. Right now, I need the bloods,
- 49:09Speaker 2: the crips and the Pirus and all these motherfuckers that
- 49:11Speaker 2: will fight a nigga about what fucking block you standing
- 49:14Speaker 2: on and what color you wearing. But we got women
- 49:16Speaker 2: being snatched away from their children and broad daylight videos
- 49:20Speaker 2: and y'all are doing nothing. But y'all will fight each
- 49:23Speaker 2: other about the name of a block you grew up on.
- 49:26Speaker 3: But y'all won't.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Dare go out and fight these white men who are
- 49:30Speaker 2: scared of you. Whether you can fight or not, it's
- 49:32Speaker 2: just your We need your presence, and I don't see
- 49:36Speaker 2: the presence. But every time I turn around, there's a
- 49:38Speaker 2: black woman, there's a gay black man up in somebody's
- 49:42Speaker 2: face doing the work, only to turn around and be disrespected.
- 49:47Speaker 2: She ghetto, she too loud, she's too masculine. I don't
- 49:49Speaker 2: want my woman like that. Women supposed to be soft.
- 49:51Speaker 2: I can't be soft when the fucking civil war is
- 49:53Speaker 2: coming and y'all ain't doing it fast enough.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Make it happen, make it make sense.
- 49:58Speaker 8: Yo, I gave you that water like forty minutes ago,
- 50:05Speaker 8: you didn't even this is.
- 50:07Speaker 3: I know that this is supposed to be fun, but
- 50:09Speaker 3: this is life.
- 50:10Speaker 6: No.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I know I'm not talking, but.
- 50:13Speaker 6: I know no.
- 50:14Speaker 8: So this is the thing, right, Your lived experience and
- 50:20Speaker 8: your passion is super felt. I get it. I understand.
- 50:26Speaker 8: I can't really discourse with you about it because I
- 50:31Speaker 8: don't even feel comfortable doing that. If this is your story,
- 50:36Speaker 8: this is your life. This is something that you've not
- 50:38Speaker 8: only studied but lived through.
- 50:40Speaker 6: For so long. It's like, but it's our life, and.
- 50:45Speaker 8: I mean, I don't know what. I don't know what.
- 50:48Speaker 8: The crips and bloods and pyules. I agree with you.
- 50:53Speaker 8: I hate the western gang culture, but I would need
- 50:56Speaker 8: one of them here to have that combo as to
- 50:58Speaker 8: why they don't step outside of it.
- 51:00Speaker 6: I don't I don't know what to say, and.
- 51:03Speaker 2: I think that that's a part of my problem. Why
- 51:06Speaker 2: because I feel like I'm outside.
- 51:08Speaker 8: I talk, I go to protests. I'm willing to champion it.
- 51:12Speaker 8: I'm one hundred thousand followers of three hundred thousand followers.
- 51:15Speaker 8: I talk about it all the time on my pages,
- 51:18Speaker 8: and I'm at everything. I challenge my co host all
- 51:21Speaker 8: of that. But you're not necessarily talking about me. So
- 51:24Speaker 8: now when you're taught, I don't even know what to say,
- 51:28Speaker 8: because I mean, it's just conversations.
- 51:30Speaker 7: These are things that need to be need to be
- 51:32Speaker 7: said and true. You know, I ask certain questions and
- 51:36Speaker 7: we can have this conversation for hours because I'm curious,
- 51:38Speaker 7: and I also believe that you know, if you call yourself,
- 51:42Speaker 7: I consider myself somewhat of an activist, and if you
- 51:45Speaker 7: if you fight for injustice, it has to be across
- 51:47Speaker 7: the board, you know what I mean. And that's why
- 51:50Speaker 7: most black activists believe in free Palestine and things like that.
- 51:54Speaker 7: It may not affect us here in America, but if
- 51:57Speaker 7: you allow any injustice to go without saying anything, then
- 52:01Speaker 7: you implicit and we have to understand what Hope is
- 52:04Speaker 7: saying and how it relates to everything that we are,
- 52:07Speaker 7: you know what I mean?
- 52:08Speaker 6: Absolutely?
- 52:11Speaker 7: Can I say one thing though about all male presence,
- 52:15Speaker 7: the black men's presence scare white people. That's powerful. You know.
- 52:19Speaker 7: When you said that, I thought about it. You know,
- 52:22Speaker 7: I could be in the whitest town ever with no
- 52:24Speaker 7: white people, and you go to a club, a bar,
- 52:27Speaker 7: the bouncer or security guard is always a black, big
- 52:29Speaker 7: black man. I'm like, Yo, that's crazy, right, They'll find
- 52:32Speaker 7: a big black man just to scare everybody.
- 52:36Speaker 6: It's true, right, So why don't we show up that way? Then?
- 52:41Speaker 7: I just to Hope's point, I don't think we recognize
- 52:44Speaker 7: that power. And I don't think that we care enough
- 52:48Speaker 7: about certain issues that don't directly affect us. And don't
- 52:53Speaker 7: see how it's all.
- 52:53Speaker 8: Connected Tennessee any of the places that we are super
- 52:59Speaker 8: I remember, like I said, my truck broke down in
- 53:01Speaker 8: a sundowntown. There's a big black community there. How is
- 53:06Speaker 8: it a sundowntown and it's a big black community there?
- 53:10Speaker 8: How is that a thing we won't rise up against
- 53:14Speaker 8: those oppressors? Why is it a thing that we can
- 53:17Speaker 8: kill and shoot? Like Hope said, niggas go to war
- 53:22Speaker 8: in La or any of those towns go to war
- 53:25Speaker 8: over your hat.
- 53:26Speaker 6: You can't wear that hat, you can't wear this.
- 53:28Speaker 8: But the motherfuckers is a person You was right down
- 53:30Speaker 8: the block and you don't never do nothing to nothing nothing?
- 53:33Speaker 6: What is that? And why is that brainwash?
- 53:37Speaker 7: It's a different type of fight though, when you know
- 53:40Speaker 7: that the law and the government and the resources are
- 53:44Speaker 7: on their side, you're gonna be a little bit more apprehensive.
- 53:48Speaker 3: So the hope is right, fight we pussy pussy play
- 53:51Speaker 3: dress up.
- 53:52Speaker 6: I mean all right, I don't dress.
- 53:54Speaker 2: Up plan no, but it is because you put on
- 53:57Speaker 2: you put on the persona of a protect to. But
- 54:00Speaker 2: when it's time for you to protect me, that's then
- 54:04Speaker 2: it's bargaining. Now, now I get to bargain what kind
- 54:08Speaker 2: of protector I want to be. But when we have
- 54:10Speaker 2: in a general conversation, I'm the man, I'm gonna protector.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I'm see me as this. But then we had the caveats.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well it's ice, well, and there kind of protector.
- 54:22Speaker 3: It's selective.
- 54:22Speaker 4: But the training for that, though they train, they don't
- 54:27Speaker 4: go up against ice.
- 54:28Speaker 3: These are basic niggas.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Half of these boys signed an application yesterday and they
- 54:33Speaker 2: are wearing they're wearing an ice They know they are.
- 54:39Speaker 3: How many niggas you don't go to the gun range,
- 54:40Speaker 3: it can't bust are great?
- 54:42Speaker 4: Not many.
- 54:43Speaker 10: But I think that's the problem. I think that's that's
- 54:46Speaker 10: a fight, that fight fixed. I think that's what Hope
- 54:47Speaker 10: is saying.
- 54:48Speaker 9: No.
- 54:48Speaker 10: I think Hope is like in these situations too much.
- 54:51Speaker 10: I find that as men, a lot of us, we
- 54:54Speaker 10: always find the caveat, like we said, the ice to this,
- 54:57Speaker 10: it's always the reason on why we can't. We never
- 54:59Speaker 10: come the reasons on why we can or why we should.
- 55:02Speaker 6: Right.
- 55:03Speaker 10: And I told you, I was telling y'all the other day,
- 55:05Speaker 10: or we had to come to yesterday till when I said,
- 55:07Speaker 10: when I first got to school and I started studying
- 55:09Speaker 10: studying gender women's studies, and I was around a lot
- 55:11Speaker 10: of different type of people from the community. People used
- 55:14Speaker 10: to think that I study gender and women's studies, that's
- 55:17Speaker 10: why I got my degree in But that put me
- 55:19Speaker 10: in proximity around a lot of people from the community.
- 55:22Speaker 10: And then people that I love, people that I went
- 55:24Speaker 10: to school with, thought that I was gay at a
- 55:25Speaker 10: point or it had some type of something going on,
- 55:29Speaker 10: just because I was comfortable being around people working with people.
- 55:32Speaker 10: There was also an event called take Back the Night, right,
- 55:35Speaker 10: And I don't know if you ever heard of this event, hope.
- 55:37Speaker 10: It's an event that started in Canada and it's about
- 55:40Speaker 10: sexual sexual assault survivors. They come to this event and
- 55:44Speaker 10: they tell their stories and it's it's like a big thing, right.
- 55:48Speaker 10: So that's why I got my startup, That's why I
- 55:50Speaker 10: started in college.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 55:51Speaker 10: So I did that program for four years straight, all
- 55:54Speaker 10: through my college career. I actually performed one of my
- 55:56Speaker 10: songs there about sexual assault, you know what I'm saying.
- 55:58Speaker 10: So I was very involved in this situation. But I
- 56:01Speaker 10: see all that to say, being around those people, hanging
- 56:03Speaker 10: out with them, going out with them, and them just
- 56:05Speaker 10: being my friends, you can tell how people, you know,
- 56:07Speaker 10: I can tell people viewed me and how people would
- 56:09Speaker 10: try to put things on me. But as y'all know,
- 56:12Speaker 10: I don't care about that type of stuff, so it
- 56:13Speaker 10: never affected me. But I do understand how other men
- 56:16Speaker 10: who are not confident in themselves, how they would just
- 56:19Speaker 10: go away from that just because of the view.
- 56:21Speaker 6: Right.
- 56:21Speaker 10: It's like, oh ya, y'all view me as this. Let
- 56:23Speaker 10: me just step away from it. I'm not going to
- 56:25Speaker 10: go out in March with y'all, I'm not going to
- 56:27Speaker 10: go to the you know what I'm saying. When y'all
- 56:29Speaker 10: go and we do the depbriefs in the room after
- 56:30Speaker 10: you tell your story, you're not going to have the
- 56:32Speaker 10: conversation with you. I'm not going to hold you and
- 56:34Speaker 10: let you cry on my shoulder because it's going to
- 56:36Speaker 10: be viewed a certain way. So I think most times
- 56:38Speaker 10: we don't do these things because of how we're going
- 56:40Speaker 10: to be viewed amongst ourselves. And I think that's the problem. Yeah,
- 56:44Speaker 10: that's the problem. That's the part of it. Is it
- 56:46Speaker 10: selfish to not think community?
- 56:52Speaker 8: Is it selfish to say, Yo, I just got worried
- 56:54Speaker 8: about the shit I got going on. I don't feel
- 56:55Speaker 8: like I'm in a place of power to extend that
- 56:57Speaker 8: to other people to be thinking about what other pe
- 57:00Speaker 8: people got going on. I just I'm not even taking
- 57:03Speaker 8: care of my own kids, the whole, the whole selfish.
- 57:09Speaker 7: But I can understand when you got your own immediate needs,
- 57:13Speaker 7: then how can you even.
- 57:14Speaker 8: So why is it that women, women, the trans community,
- 57:18Speaker 8: the gay community seem to see outside of that and
- 57:22Speaker 8: the men don't.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Because there's more at stake for us. There there's more
- 57:27Speaker 2: mistake for us. There was a woman who I just
- 57:30Speaker 2: discovered blue centric. She was making a point about like
- 57:34Speaker 2: the reason why there's a disconnect for some CIS women
- 57:37Speaker 2: and trans women. And one of the points that she
- 57:40Speaker 2: made that I think it's relevant for this moment was
- 57:42Speaker 2: that she said, everybody gets to run up and down.
- 57:44Speaker 6: I see that I have that. That's what I mean.
- 57:45Speaker 6: That's what I was asking you about because I had
- 57:47Speaker 6: that clip when.
- 57:47Speaker 2: Everybody gets to run up and down except black women,
- 57:50Speaker 2: and I would beg to believe like black trans women
- 57:52Speaker 2: and black I think black gay men, depending on what
- 57:56Speaker 2: type of black gay men you are, also don't have
- 57:59Speaker 2: that privile.
- 58:01Speaker 6: So she said, yah, go ahead.
- 58:04Speaker 8: She said that when I think it's gender and race, right,
- 58:09Speaker 8: black men are can come up in second in gender
- 58:13Speaker 8: right behind white men, right, and then come white women,
- 58:17Speaker 8: and then come black women.
- 58:19Speaker 6: Then race was it? Is it gender and race?
- 58:23Speaker 3: It was gender and race.
- 58:26Speaker 2: So at any given point, black men and white women
- 58:30Speaker 2: are fighting for the second spot. So when we're talking
- 58:33Speaker 2: about gender, black men are on top of white women,
- 58:35Speaker 2: but when we're talking about race, white women are on
- 58:37Speaker 2: top of black men. But there isn't a space where
- 58:41Speaker 2: black women and I would beg to add that black
- 58:44Speaker 2: queer people, especially black effeminate men and black trans women
- 58:48Speaker 2: can run up and down that same way.
- 58:50Speaker 8: You don't think that black queer men in gender still
- 58:53Speaker 8: come above.
- 58:54Speaker 2: I think that if you're a black effeminatee man, like
- 58:56Speaker 2: you couldn't be a big freedom and be talking about
- 58:58Speaker 2: doing that.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Because that's there's no respect in that.
- 59:02Speaker 2: Now you might be able to be let me think
- 59:04Speaker 2: of a I can't think of a black version of it,
- 59:08Speaker 2: right then.
- 59:08Speaker 6: You know what, I think you're right.
- 59:10Speaker 8: You know, if you view that as feminine or whatever,
- 59:14Speaker 8: as a man, you're not respected as a man.
- 59:15Speaker 6: Yeah, so you kind of lose that that credit, You
- 59:18Speaker 6: lose your ability to do that, you.
- 59:19Speaker 8: Know what I'm saying, Like you don't, I don't know,
- 59:22Speaker 8: I don't, Yeah, I kind of I kind of believe, you.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Know, like you use, all of that stuff is snatched.
- 59:27Speaker 2: And I think that the reason for that is, like
- 59:29Speaker 2: we don't y'all don't have as much as estake, Like
- 59:32Speaker 2: outside of being a black man, you are one color
- 59:36Speaker 2: away from having the benefits, the access, the privilege, the
- 59:40Speaker 2: ability that white men had.
- 59:45Speaker 6: That.
- 59:46Speaker 3: But think about it, make.
- 59:47Speaker 8: It seem like, yo, we are the number one fear
- 59:49Speaker 8: the men.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Again, men in general, not just Black men, men in general.
- 59:57Speaker 2: When bitches was like bear or the niggas they was,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: it was all types of women.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Indian women, white women, black women.
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: Black men have a story as well.
- 1:00:06Speaker 8: And the reason I said I don't like when y'all
- 1:00:08Speaker 8: say that is because it kind of feels like an
- 1:00:11Speaker 8: invalidation of what's happened to Black men in relation to
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: not only ourselves, but to our families, to other women,
- 1:00:18Speaker 8: to society. We feel like we at the bottom. We
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: or I don't know if it's everybody. I can't say
- 1:00:25Speaker 8: for everybody, but I know in the way I look
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: at it, a lot of times, it's like black men
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: feel like the black black women are more accepted or
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: get to go further or get more help, or and
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: we kind of just left.
- 1:00:40Speaker 7: I feel like it depends on the space.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: I'm gonna pay you back. It's a little bit more
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: difficult for us.
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: Yeah, well, I would say it depends on the space
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: because black men may be the most feared, but black
- 1:00:51Speaker 7: women are the most disrespected, So how can you weigh it?
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: In certain spaces and corporate spaces, they may left the
- 1:00:58Speaker 7: black women more because they may be more comfortable, but
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: in other spaces they may lift up black men more. Like, what,
- 1:01:06Speaker 7: what's an example where they lift up black men more?
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Maybe sports?
- 1:01:09Speaker 7: Politics, definitely politics, Yeah, but in corporate America, I feel
- 1:01:14Speaker 7: like black women may have But the.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: Thing so it's not necessarily for me, it's.
- 1:01:19Speaker 8: Not to compare, but it is that when we are
- 1:01:23Speaker 8: highlighted as having more or or benefited from being a man,
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: where I be feeling like, yo, that that kind of
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: invalidates my whole experience as a black man.
- 1:01:37Speaker 6: I'm a man, Okay, I'm also a black man. It
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: feels like a.
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: Double negative facts where and I don't think that the
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: women seeing that woman, but that's the comparison thing again,
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: Kamala Harris like, again, that's the comparison.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: I don't even think. I don't.
- 1:01:53Speaker 5: That's a whole different conversation. She definitely doubled a double negative.
- 1:01:56Speaker 6: We saw that, right, so we both get double negative.
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: Then why is the men the women looking at it
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: as we got it better?
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: That'sative.
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: No, that's the case. We're the same playing.
- 1:02:11Speaker 8: Black and Barack had a whole full running term.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: I mean, I know we careing apples and oranges, but
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: a lot of the pushback from Kamala Barack did not
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: get at.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: All true, especially about the blackness.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: And there were men who specifically came out and straight
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: up said a woman cannot lead this country. They didn't
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: give a fuck about her policies. They didn't care whether
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: or not she put black men in jail.
- 1:02:35Speaker 6: And didn't care if she was black.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: They didn't care if she was black. She was a
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: woman's a woman.
- 1:02:39Speaker 6: I agree, I agree. Did y'all understand my point?
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Did you understand my point when I said that feeling
- 1:02:45Speaker 8: like it invalidates the black male experience in America?
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: I hear it. I just think that a lot of
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: y'all are scared, Oh.
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: Yeah, definitely for sure, and feel somewhat powerless facts and
- 1:02:57Speaker 8: feel like we aren't respected, like yo, the woman y'all
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: supposed to be our backbone. Y'all supposed to have our back,
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: and we feel like we're under attack a lot.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: The reason why, or angles the reason why we don't
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: have your back is because back in the day, I
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: grew up in a family where my granddaddy was a
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: man's man. My daddy was a man's man. Them was
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: niggas that was going who you said what to my daughter?
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: And it was out the door and there was no conversation.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: I'm not giving you time we could talk about this, this
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: manut after I slapped your ass down, but I'm slapping
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: you down.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: Off the street.
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: That my daughter, my wife, my whatever came home and
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: said so and so made me uncomfortable. When something happened
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: in community, if somebody was terrorizing community, the elder men
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: in the community ganged up together and said that you
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: young niggas on this corner, we're gonna break this shit up.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: We watched kumbayas growing up between the old heads and
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: the young boys. We watched these things happen on a
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: regular basis. When things were going on in the Civil
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: rights movement, the men were going out and saying, we're
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: gonna patrol. Y'all stay here. The women, we sat in
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: that softness because we could. We could afford to go
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: home and make y'all sandwiches for the patrol, because y'all
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: were doing the protecting.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: And then crack happened, and then and then the privatization
- 1:04:17Speaker 8: of the prisons happened, and then the whole Crime Bill happened,
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: and it broke up the black family, and it lifted
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: up the black woman and kicked the black man out.
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: And we're still trying to find our way back into
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: the home and back like we Literally a lot of
- 1:04:31Speaker 8: us didn't have dads or grew up in that situation,
- 1:04:34Speaker 8: and so you got that guy raising another guy or
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: not raising another guy.
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: We all have been through some shit and we're still people.
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: So yes, I am still looking at the way the
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: world is knowing I'm supposed to.
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: Be this this this this.
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: Power of the house, the strength of the house, but
- 1:04:54Speaker 8: I don't have it, and women don't even respect me
- 1:04:56Speaker 8: no more, and y'all getting it more than us, and
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: y'all shitting on us every every other day about us
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: and not having headboards and shit. I don't know, but
- 1:05:04Speaker 8: it just feels like, Yo, we are in the attack
- 1:05:06Speaker 8: from every fucking angle. It isn't that I hate.
- 1:05:08Speaker 6: You, but it's feels I don't feel safe with you.
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: Hold on, hold on.
- 1:05:12Speaker 8: And I also want to say this, I'm debating to
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: debate because I could do this from any angle. I
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: could do this from any angle, right, I'm debating to debate,
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: but I think that a lot of the energy that
- 1:05:26Speaker 8: you get from black men, especially the ones on the
- 1:05:30Speaker 8: internet who's the alpha male and this that and ever
- 1:05:32Speaker 8: it comes.
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: From hurt places. It's coming from hurt places.
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: And these guys like they probably feel the same way
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: about their mom, but they mom did everything by herself.
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: Dad wasn't in the damn house, So they have a
- 1:05:45Speaker 8: resentment towards women, you know that. And this shit is
- 1:05:50Speaker 8: just like, at some point, I just wish that we
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: saw each other, especially black men and black women. I
- 1:05:57Speaker 8: just wish that we just let all of this other
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: shit go and actually it took time to see each.
- 1:06:01Speaker 6: Other, you know what I'm saying. And the more we
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: point fingers, the less of a chance that that's going
- 1:06:07Speaker 6: to happen. Tough.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: I think the issue is that we see each other.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: The problem is trying to unlearn the things that we've
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: grown accustomed to that create safety. Because I think that
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: for a lot of black women, there's a constant there's
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: a constant need to prove that you're good enough for
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: the attention of the man that you were born for.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: There's a constant need to have to prove that you
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: are exotic enough, feminine enough, X, Y and Z enough.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: While there are a handful of men that love black
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: women in the fire and the other There's so many
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: of y'all that look at those things and see them
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: as character traits that are masculine.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: And not worthy of your time.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: There's so much exalting of the exotic woman from wherever
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: the fuck. There's so much exalting of the white woman
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: because she shows up in her softness in a way
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: that black women just don't have access to. There's so
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: much exalting a femininity that was drawn up by white
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: men for white women, for the appropriation of black women
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: to fall in line to that. Y'all don't even realize
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: that the femininity that you are seeking from us was
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: never meant to hold us.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: That wasn't for us.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: That was white men telling y'all what they believe femininity
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: should look like, and y'all subscribing to it. And now
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: you're holding black women to a standard that white women
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: can't even meet most of the time, but you believe
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: that they do because they white anybody else.
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: Because I could keep going. I mean, I.
- 1:07:38Speaker 8: Think that the male problem, the black male problem specific,
- 1:07:44Speaker 8: is when women are doing those things and it feels
- 1:07:48Speaker 8: like we're losing y'all more. It feels like y'all are
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: gaining more power, and I don't have the access to
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: that power. So I think that's our comparison to white men.
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: We want that, We want to fit like we run
- 1:08:01Speaker 8: shit in our home. And the woman, because the white
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: woman is a servant, subservient to the white man. She's
- 1:08:07Speaker 8: unapologetic subservient to the white man. She will vote against
- 1:08:10Speaker 8: her own interest, she will do whatever the fuck she
- 1:08:12Speaker 8: can do to be the woman to this man, and
- 1:08:15Speaker 8: our women don't. And so we feel jealous because we
- 1:08:21Speaker 8: want that comparison to white men. It's not about being white,
- 1:08:24Speaker 8: it's about being a man. But we don't feel that.
- 1:08:28Speaker 8: Just at the end of the day, we don't feel that.
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: And then thur women don't look at us that way.
- 1:08:33Speaker 8: And then y'all are raising y'allselves up by getting all
- 1:08:35Speaker 8: this power and projecting this image of yourselves that is
- 1:08:39Speaker 8: not of a wife, it is not of a mother.
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: It's a lit bitch. It's torquing on a table or
- 1:08:48Speaker 8: whatever it may be. By the way, I don't have
- 1:08:50Speaker 8: no problem with those things. I just want to let
- 1:08:52Speaker 8: y'all know I don't care. But these guys that don't
- 1:08:55Speaker 8: have access to women or to power don't feel strong
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: or strengthen themsels else they're gonna knock y'all down off
- 1:09:03Speaker 8: of that chair, off of that couch because it makes
- 1:09:06Speaker 8: it kind of makes them prop themselves up.
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: Go ahead, bro, I think you was gonna say something.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: No, I was gonna say.
- 1:09:12Speaker 9: We have a responsibility without authority, and responsibility without authority
- 1:09:17Speaker 9: is slavery.
- 1:09:20Speaker 8: Yeah, that's a good point. Is that's a good point.
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: That's what the that's what we feel like. We just
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: we're expected to do all of these things but not
- 1:09:29Speaker 8: don't feel any type of respect from our community.
- 1:09:34Speaker 6: That's right, and that's just our experience.
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: I hear that.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: I'm not I'm not debating that there are some instances
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: where that is in the true, but I think that
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: my my pushback to that is there are so many
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: rules in society that enable those things that y'all continue
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: to buy into. Agree, and so don't look at me
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: for your freedom when I didn't put you in the
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: cage in the first place.
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: Y'all did that.
- 1:10:06Speaker 8: You know, when I look at the LGBT community, that
- 1:10:09Speaker 8: word pride that y'all have, that's fire, but it actually
- 1:10:14Speaker 8: means something. And so I don't know if people realize that. Yo,
- 1:10:18Speaker 8: when people come out the closet, they dead ass and
- 1:10:22Speaker 8: they don't want nobody.
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: Can tell them. Shit. There's a pride in that. When
- 1:10:26Speaker 6: you go down to the.
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: March, you see how they are in the street, they are,
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: that's pride.
- 1:10:34Speaker 6: Like I am me, I'm finally out.
- 1:10:36Speaker 8: I'm gonna fucking my moms don't like me, I'm gonna
- 1:10:38Speaker 8: fuck if you don't like me, I'm.
- 1:10:39Speaker 6: Out and I'm enjoying this.
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: I'm sucking dick halfway through this shit, and I'm sucking
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: dick tonight and fuck you if.
- 1:10:45Speaker 6: You don't like it. Black men don't have that.
- 1:10:49Speaker 8: We don't have that sense of pride because the people
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: who're supposed to love us don't. They're disappointed in us.
- 1:10:56Speaker 8: And yet and yet, and then the system. It feels
- 1:11:00Speaker 8: like the system is all against us and not all
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: against y'all, and we kind of just feel lost and powerless.
- 1:11:07Speaker 6: We don't have that pride.
- 1:11:08Speaker 7: Gant, Well, I'm gonna get back to something that you said.
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: We don't win her point fingers. So we got to
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: start as black men, as individuals in this room, to
- 1:11:18Speaker 7: take accountability, to be better men. Agree, and once we're
- 1:11:22Speaker 7: better men, we're going to have better treatment and better
- 1:11:24Speaker 7: levels of respect. And then we have to as a
- 1:11:27Speaker 7: community have these types of conversations and share these conversations
- 1:11:32Speaker 7: over the internet, and hopefully these types of sentiments will
- 1:11:35Speaker 7: spread and then it'll just it's not going to happen like,
- 1:11:39Speaker 7: all right, you need to change, No, you need to change.
- 1:11:41Speaker 7: We all got to do work. It starts with the
- 1:11:43Speaker 7: individual and then the community, and then we could expect
- 1:11:47Speaker 7: different type.
- 1:11:47Speaker 6: Of I just think that.
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: You and I were born into a place where it's
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: easier for us to understand that. I don't want to
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: say my mother wasn't middle class, Say my mother fought
- 1:12:00Speaker 8: to be middle class and I fought to be middle class, right, right,
- 1:12:04Speaker 8: But there's a lot of people that don't have the education,
- 1:12:06Speaker 8: that don't have the mothers that was going to put
- 1:12:08Speaker 8: them in that situation.
- 1:12:09Speaker 6: You have seen some fucked up moms.
- 1:12:11Speaker 8: That are putting their kids into worse situations, like you know,
- 1:12:15Speaker 8: these kids going to jail, you know it, you know
- 1:12:18Speaker 8: what I'm saying. And then maybe one of those kids
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: amongst five or six of them, says no, I'm going
- 1:12:24Speaker 8: to college, and the other ones is just tear The
- 1:12:28Speaker 8: Johnson kids the Johnson clan. You know what I mean,
- 1:12:35Speaker 8: But my bad, I didn't mean that that way, but
- 1:12:38Speaker 8: you understand. But you know, finance and your community can
- 1:12:44Speaker 8: help deteriorate your belief in yourself and where you can
- 1:12:49Speaker 8: go and just yeah, you're care about the community or family,
- 1:12:53Speaker 8: you might just not have that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 6: I think. I hope you don't agree.
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: I only call bullshit on the park y'all like being like, oh, y'all,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: don't do this, because if that's the case, black men
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: know where to come when when the ship fall apart,
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: because y'all.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: Do it all the time.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: It's fucked black No, not women, it's fucked black women
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: until you on your last or your last or your
- 1:13:17Speaker 2: last and then all of a sudden, them same bitches
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: you would screaming fuck are the same ones that y'all
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: come back around to. So that that whole idea of like, oh,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: you know, we don't have the no your you do,
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: but you're choosing to engage with people who don't respect you.
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: Oftentimes y'all are choosing to engage with the lit bitches
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: that's working on the tables because that's the good look.
- 1:13:36Speaker 6: No, it's also a way to gain power.
- 1:13:38Speaker 8: Yeah, that if you're powerless, you want power if I
- 1:13:42Speaker 8: can get it from you, if I can get you from.
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: Hu Tahoe the bad ones.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: No no, no, no no, because she ain't got no power
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: neither because she But who think deeper? Because who is
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: it for? Huh you picked it up.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: It ain't for her, It's for y'all, of course, for
- 1:14:13Speaker 3: the ego.
- 1:14:14Speaker 8: We're trying to steal your power. But again, we need that.
- 1:14:17Speaker 8: I'm collecting bodies.
- 1:14:19Speaker 6: I need that.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: I have.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: The thing about you don't need me to do that.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: You know many other things that y'all value that have
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: nothing to do.
- 1:14:32Speaker 6: I don't have access to those things.
- 1:14:34Speaker 8: It takes It takes time and dedication and discipline and education.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: And if I could just get a check that all
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: the mother niggas want, I got them.
- 1:14:45Speaker 8: I got her, and I got all of them niggas too,
- 1:14:47Speaker 8: because they want to know what it's like to be me.
- 1:14:49Speaker 8: It gives me a sense of pride to be me,
- 1:14:54Speaker 8: and I don't have that.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: And that ain't you.
- 1:14:59Speaker 6: It's a it's false, of course.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: That is that is a version of yourself cated. Other
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: niggas feel comfortable with who you are. That's not you. Agreed,
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: and that's why she's never gonna be or the car
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: or none of the ship that you do. It's gonna
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: That's why y'all have the baddest bitches.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: Agreed and go cheat agree.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: That's what you're saying.
- 1:15:23Speaker 6: That's that's what I'm saying.
- 1:15:25Speaker 8: It's a false sense of security or pride or like
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: it's like a little boost and then it goes away
- 1:15:32Speaker 8: away and then you got to get another one.
- 1:15:34Speaker 6: And but but that's an addiction.
- 1:15:37Speaker 8: But it's also the only way a lot of us
- 1:15:39Speaker 8: know how to feel ourselves. It's like just doing temporary
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: things too, but they don't mean anything, and you don't
- 1:15:49Speaker 8: really realize get to that next level until you actually
- 1:15:52Speaker 8: in life you up it to the point where you're like, Yo,
- 1:15:55Speaker 8: getting this degree made me feel that way, or buying
- 1:15:57Speaker 8: this home ship, being a dad makes me feel that way.
- 1:16:01Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:16:02Speaker 8: Oh shit, being a stand up guide in my wife
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: like makes me feel that way.
- 1:16:08Speaker 6: But we not. I don't know. It just doesn't come
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: to everybody. Men. You know what I thought, Your women
- 1:16:17Speaker 6: y'all are really interested.
- 1:16:22Speaker 8: And I'm talking about siss had women specifically in this
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: common because y'all give life. And the reason why that's
- 1:16:31Speaker 8: important is because when y'all have a baby growing and
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: you yo, I wonder are women the center of the universe?
- 1:16:40Speaker 8: Because the man loves her tits because he sucked on
- 1:16:49Speaker 8: boobs he what is it called a lack tape breast
- 1:16:52Speaker 8: fed when he was young, so he has this attachment
- 1:16:55Speaker 8: to the woman's body or whatever from young. The baby
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: loves the tits, right, could the baby be like moving
- 1:17:03Speaker 8: the dad, moving the dad's hand away and feel like
- 1:17:06Speaker 8: those boobs of mine and all that This woman is
- 1:17:09Speaker 8: growing life within her fucking body and she has this
- 1:17:14Speaker 8: attachment to every single thing that happens with this being.
- 1:17:19Speaker 8: Regardless whether they fifteen, sixteen, twenty one. I need to
- 1:17:23Speaker 8: know what my babies are. I need to outcome and
- 1:17:26Speaker 8: just sit with my daughter at thirty eight. They still
- 1:17:29Speaker 8: have this attachment because they raise that baby and from
- 1:17:33Speaker 8: the minute they knew they was pregnant, they start rubbing
- 1:17:35Speaker 8: a boy, they start rubbing their stomach and things of
- 1:17:37Speaker 8: that nature. Right, but they also treat the man that way.
- 1:17:42Speaker 8: They have this nurturing thing that you're saying, yah, we
- 1:17:46Speaker 8: go run to that. It's something that is women it's
- 1:17:50Speaker 8: part of y'all because y'all give life and then y'all
- 1:17:55Speaker 8: compare yourselves to us. But we don't have that. We
- 1:18:00Speaker 8: don't listen. Listen, don't do that.
- 1:18:03Speaker 6: Just listen. No, I don't want you to shut up.
- 1:18:05Speaker 8: I need you to just process what it's like and
- 1:18:08Speaker 8: you you know, as a as a man, I wish
- 1:18:13Speaker 8: that I had that biological connection.
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: To a child, which you could get pregnant in a way.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: In a way, I don't mean.
- 1:18:24Speaker 8: It that way, honestly, wish that because what happens in
- 1:18:29Speaker 8: a woman's body and her psyche when she gets pregnant,
- 1:18:34Speaker 8: it changes her completely.
- 1:18:37Speaker 6: It changes her.
- 1:18:38Speaker 8: She's going she Everything that mattered before that doesn't matter
- 1:18:41Speaker 8: no more.
- 1:18:42Speaker 5: It's just this baby. Do you disagree. I don't disagree.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: I'm just trying to think about what you're saying.
- 1:18:50Speaker 7: I wish I had that sense, but I've also heard
- 1:18:54Speaker 7: that that changed me as a man. If you hold
- 1:18:57Speaker 7: a baby to your chest without a shirt on, that
- 1:19:01Speaker 7: automatically creates more of a bond the skin and skin contact.
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: So there's ways to create that type of biological physical connection. Obviously,
- 1:19:10Speaker 7: it's not the same as being the food provider. You
- 1:19:12Speaker 7: know what I mean in that situation, But I was
- 1:19:16Speaker 7: just thinking about that when you were talking.
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: You know, nine months of feeling this baby in your body,
- 1:19:20Speaker 6: nine months a year.
- 1:19:22Speaker 8: So I said, last time you did anything for nine
- 1:19:24Speaker 8: months straight, every day, every day, every.
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: Minute, every minute, sleeping, eating, every minute for nine months.
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: This thing is a part of you. And we be
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: wanting to fuck the men. We just literally just existing
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: outside of that union, just trying to make sure she's okay.
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: The most we do is take them to the.
- 1:19:46Speaker 8: To the uh, the doctor appoint pointments, make sure she
- 1:19:50Speaker 8: you know, you come around, you open the door.
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: But you they have their own connection. That's biological.
- 1:19:59Speaker 8: The only the thing that you have as biological is
- 1:20:01Speaker 8: that you shot in that that's it.
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: Everything else is you gotta want that. You have to
- 1:20:09Speaker 6: want to be there. You have to.
- 1:20:10Speaker 8: It's not like it's it kind of is a choice.
- 1:20:14Speaker 8: I mean, they don't have no choice.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: Everybody has a choice.
- 1:20:18Speaker 6: I don't see I don't Once you're having the baby,
- 1:20:20Speaker 6: you don't have a joys.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: But that's the thing.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: There is a choice to be made by everybody in
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: the situation. I think that again it goes back to
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: the system that men created for other men. That keeps
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: y'all from having those connections and those things. The reason
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: why there's a separation is because women would most likely
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: not often and it's not to say all women, but
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: women don't want to be as sexually active. They're not
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: bodies those through changes that some women look a little
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: different during pregnancy than they do before they get pregnant.
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: And so a lot of men got together and was like,
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: during this time, my way of showing.
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: Up is by not being there so I don't have
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: to deal with the crazies.
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: That's a social thing that y'all constructed so that y'all
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: could be away while she is doing.
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: The very thing that is bringing this little human being
- 1:21:12Speaker 3: into the space.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: That was a choice made by men that has been
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: perpetuated for hundreds of years that other men are just like, Yeah,
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: that's what we do. Like I go to work extra,
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: I do the things. She get the ice cream in
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: the weird shit, and I'm a great dad because I
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: show up for the doctor's appointments.
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: Awesome, you could do more than that.
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: You don't do it because it's not socially the thing
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: that you've been taught to do, and you don't want
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: to you don't feel like being.
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: To do, and that's what the society they taught men
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: to do. That.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: Who gives a fuck about what society taught you that
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: relationship between you and the woman that is giving birth
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: to your No, it's not cheap.
- 1:21:50Speaker 8: It's cheap because women are taught how to be women.
- 1:21:55Speaker 8: Like from young y'all, your moms teach you to wash
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: the dishes and not a season to show the fun,
- 1:22:00Speaker 8: put the plate in front of the dad first, and.
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: All of these rules show up.
- 1:22:06Speaker 8: But who not the mom's coddling boys. The mom'sddle the boys.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: But that's not you were still taught to treat a
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: woman by first of all? Who else better to learn
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: it from? Like people give shit about you know, single mom.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: But I think if you're gonna learn how to treat
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: a woman, who else better learn it from than the
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: woman that wants to be treated.
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: Y'all move away from that shit as you get older.
- 1:22:26Speaker 6: And then they establish in the back young what it mean?
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: What I know that sounds crazy.
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: I feel like men feel betrayal early thirteen fourteenth fifty
- 1:22:37Speaker 8: first time they love somebody or whatever, then they find
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: out she fucked real.
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: And you're like, yo, I would love this girl. I
- 1:22:45Speaker 6: did all of.
- 1:22:46Speaker 8: These things, and she's she's just a whore, And it
- 1:22:51Speaker 8: hardens your heart against love or doing things for women.
- 1:22:56Speaker 6: And I know that sounds it's nuts.
- 1:22:57Speaker 8: But I think that we when you're saying doing it
- 1:23:01Speaker 8: for it's different when it's somebody else outside of your crib.
- 1:23:06Speaker 8: When your your daughter learns certain things from a mother,
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: it's part of her upbringing to be this way. Well,
- 1:23:13Speaker 8: I don't believe that boys get that same thing unless
- 1:23:16Speaker 8: there's a dad in the house or like an older
- 1:23:18Speaker 8: brother that they really respect. Like you actually have to
- 1:23:21Speaker 8: have somebody in the house that you respect to get
- 1:23:25Speaker 8: that from them, because you could also learn how to hate.
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: Your brother or your dad if they're fucked up. Nigga,
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: these sounds you laughing like this sounds like excuses.
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: No, it's not an excuse. It's just you know how
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: many women can't stay there, mama.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: But they still there's still.
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: But the thing I don't like that though, That to
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: me now brings me back to the excuse. Y'all got
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: every excuse for why some of y'all just don't do
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: the right fucking thing. If the right thing is so obvious,
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: but it is because you're just back here and name it.
- 1:24:01Speaker 6: I do it. I know it's easy for you to
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: say it, but another nigga might not say that.
- 1:24:05Speaker 2: But it's not even that. Other niggas will acknowledge that.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: We know the difference between right and wrong whether you
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: enact or do the thing when it comes down, when
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: it comes down to this life ship and how to
- 1:24:17Speaker 2: treat people decently, even if that's not how you grew up.
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: You know that talking to a random person that you
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: don't know that is not from your hood, they might
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: not receive that. Well, you don't give a fuck, but
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: you know that it ain't right.
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: Agreed, But you don't give a fuck. Agreed.
- 1:24:37Speaker 8: You nailed that because not giving a fuck is a
- 1:24:41Speaker 8: big thing, and I think that's about respect for yourself
- 1:24:44Speaker 8: that you didn't have growing up, respect for others, or
- 1:24:48Speaker 8: not feeling respected. Right that being said, we're coming to
- 1:24:53Speaker 8: the end of part one. I gotta end it because
- 1:24:55Speaker 8: we can do. And they just sit here like, oh,
- 1:24:58Speaker 8: this is good.
- 1:25:05Speaker 6: I love you. I love you too, bro, I know
- 1:25:10Speaker 6: you ain't I love you too.
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: I know I know.
