  introduction because I owe you an apology.

  Yesterday, for the first time in eight years, I was exhausted and I just missed

  out on an episode. But to make up for it, I'm doing a double episode this morning.

  So you're getting two episodes back to back.

  I want to first off start by thanking Stephanie Franklin Steuben.

  Let me tell you, that was an amazing interview. For those of you that don't

  know, we have another author coming on and I'm editing the process right now.

  We will see that episode sometime next week. I still want to converse with her

  and show her the edited version and then we will launch it. but I'm telling

  you right now, it is an amazing episode and I cannot wait to also drop that.

  We've had two authors, two amazing authors within the last week and a half. And I'm so grateful.

  We have many new authors to tell their personal testimony in my head.

  So what happened to Angel yesterday? Well.

  As you know, I have a very small home and my children are growing.

  So they've been sharing a room for a while.

  And now, you know, in a 900 square foot home, we are converting two rooms,

  one that was a living room now into my son's room and my daughter's room got
• 1:27
  bigger because we got new mattress sets.
• 1:29
  Big shout outs to my chiropractor who sold us an amazing set for my daughter.
• 1:34
  And yeah, it's just been a crazy 48 hours and lack of sleep thereafter.

  After so with that being said that's my excuse

  and I apologize but let's continue on with

  part four of what's been in my heart this week we have now talked about faith
• 1:50
  in the waiting faith that makes space for God and faith that stands when it's
• 1:55
  tested so today I'm going to talk to you about something that's a little harder
• 1:59
  to say out loud what do you do when God feels silent.

  Not absence, just silent, just quiet.
• 2:09
  Because there are moments in life where you pray and nothing seems to change.
• 2:13
  You ask, you wait, and you hope. And it feels like you're just talking into the air.
• 2:20
  And if we're just gonna be straight honest with each other, that can shake you a little.
• 2:25
  And I had those moments, moments where I've expected an answer or at least a sign.

  And instead, there was silence.
• 2:33
  And it makes me wonder, God, are you there? Did I miss something? Are you listening?
• 2:40
  But think, think about David.
• 2:43
  In Psalms chapter 13, it says, how long, how long, Lord, will you forget me forever?
• 2:49
  How long will you hide your face from me?
• 2:53
  That's scripture. That's someone being real with God.
• 2:56
  And what I love about that is that God didn't reject the honesty.

  He included it. But because faith isn't pretending everything feels good.
• 3:08
  Faith is staying even when it doesn't. Even when God feels quiet,
• 3:13
  because silence doesn't mean absence.
• 3:16
  Sometimes God is working in ways we don't see yet.
• 3:20
  Sometimes he's building something in us before he answers what's around us.
• 3:25
  And I know that doesn't always make that moment easier, but it changes how we
• 3:31
  hold it. because instead of walking away, we stay.
• 3:35
  Instead of giving up, we lean in. And maybe that's where you are today.
• 3:41
  Still praying, still hoping, still waiting, but it feels quiet,
• 3:47
  feels quiet. If that's you.
• 3:50
  You're not alone. And more importantly, God hasn't left you.
• 3:55
  Even in the silence, God is still there with you.
• 3:59
  Let's pray. Heavenly Father, today we come to you with honesty.

  And honestly, some of us feel strong in our faith, but some of us are struggling in the silence.

  Lord, we don't hear you, so help us not walk away.
• 4:15
  Help us to trust that you are still present, even when we don't feel it.
• 4:20
  Give us patience in the waiting, peace in the quiet, and faith that holds on even without answers.

  Remind us that you are near, that you are listening, and that you are working even now.
• 4:33
  We trust you and we believe in you, Lord, even in the silence.

  In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
