- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to dive right
- 0:06back into the Toauvin o Well transcript of her meeting
- 0:09with Congress. Question would you fill out any kind of
- 0:14blog or report for a round or account? Answer? So,
- 0:18account happens throughout the whole institution, like at those specific
- 0:21times that I give you. The irregular rounds every thirty
- 0:25minutes in the shoe is specific to the shoe, not
- 0:28a regular housing unit. In the shoe. The logs are
- 0:31filled out for rounds the count. It's also filled out
- 0:35throughout the whole institution for account. Mister Foy, if I
- 0:39could have just one word, Miss Firebrand, sure we can
- 0:43go off the record, back on the record, Miss Noel.
- 0:47Just to clarify the rounds in the shoe, it's twice
- 0:49an hour with no more than forty minutes in between,
- 0:53so it's irregular rounds. Question Okay, were you required to
- 0:57fill out a report for every one of those the
- 1:00regular rounds? Answer? Yes? Question what did that report look like?
- 1:05Answer a logsheet? Question? How long would that take you
- 1:08to complete? Answer? For the logsheet, I would fill it
- 1:12out before, like filling it out or in before or
- 1:15sometimes after, depending on the day, in hopes to make
- 1:18the rounds, not at the accurate time that it's been
- 1:21being filled out. Question was that how it was supposed
- 1:24to be done? Answer? No, but that's how I seen
- 1:27them do it, so I did the same thing. Question
- 1:31did someone show you how to do it that way? Answer?
- 1:33Not specifically showing me, but that's how I observe them
- 1:36doing it. Question okay? And what were you writing down
- 1:40on the round log? Answer the time question so you
- 1:44would have she it gets cut off by Noel like
- 1:48it'd be the tears. So I think it'll say like
- 1:51El Tier j Tier, and then it'll have the times.
- 1:54Question okay, answer and your signature your initials? Question what
- 2:00was the signature supposed to represent? Answer? Who did it? Question? Okay?
- 2:05And were you certifying that the inmates were in their cells?
- 2:08Answer no, you're certifying that you made the round? Question okay. Answer,
- 2:14I think the count would be that you're certifying that
- 2:17they're in the cell. Question okay, would you ever report
- 2:20whether on a round or afford institutional count any unusual activity?
- 2:26Answer no question anything out of the ordinary that would
- 2:29get reported? Answer no, question you would only report for
- 2:34the number of inmates, for the count and for the
- 2:37round that they were in fact checked on. Answer yes.
- 2:40Question okay, what were the cell blocks in the shoe?
- 2:43What were the lock systems? Like? Answer regular lock like
- 2:47you put the key in, you turn it, and it's locked.
- 2:50Question so a physical key? Answer yeah. Question would you ever,
- 2:54whether you were conducting account or around, would you ever
- 2:57physically unlock the door? Answer? So the person the keys
- 3:01are the person that's on the grill doesn't have the
- 3:04keys for the cell door, and the person that's going
- 3:07down range doesn't have the key for the cell door.
- 3:10Question okay, answer so you can't really not that you can't,
- 3:14but you wouldn't have it. Question So would the access
- 3:18to lock or unlock the door the person that was
- 3:21doing the range wouldn't have the key with them. Answer
- 3:24right question okay, answer, it'd be the person on the grill.
- 3:29Question was that standard? Answer yes? Question was that like
- 3:34protocol that was required? Answer yes, mister Emmer jumps in question,
- 3:39and I apologize if I'm going to make you repeat yourself,
- 3:42but you'd mentioned earlier that account required two individuals to conduct.
- 3:45Is that right? Answer yes? Question was that the same
- 3:50for a round. Answer for a round no question. And
- 3:54you had mentioned that mister Thomas had told you earlier
- 3:56in the night in question that he didn't want to
- 3:58do account do you ever make any comments about not
- 4:01wanting to do rounds as well? Answer? So let me explain.
- 4:06So with the count, the person is on the grill
- 4:08and then one person goes down and counts. Then you
- 4:11switch places and the other person goes down and counts.
- 4:14With a round, you still have two people because somebody
- 4:17has to open the gate, but the one person can
- 4:19make the round. The one person doesn't have to go behind.
- 4:22So you still need two people physically going to the tier,
- 4:26but the round can just be one person the count
- 4:29you have to cross count. Question what's the gate that
- 4:33you just mentioned, Noel? Every cell block has a gate
- 4:36the grill, So like to get in the cell block,
- 4:39you're opening the grill door? Question? Okay, mister Emmer, just
- 4:44a general question here. You had mentioned mister Thomas not
- 4:47wanting to conduct the rounds. Was that the first time
- 4:50that had happened during your time working at the shoe
- 4:53where an individual said they don't want to conduct rounds,
- 4:56Miss Noel, No, because I worked the four to midnight.
- 4:59Also where my other colleague was tired from working a
- 5:02triple He was on the twenty second hour of his shift. God,
- 5:06that's such bullshit. So if a pilot works extra hours
- 5:09and crashes the plane, it's not his fault. No, it's
- 5:14his fault. If you're too tired to work, don't work,
- 5:17mister Emmer, thank you, mister Grant. Who is your colleague?
- 5:22Miss Noel BONHAMI? Miss Noel? His name bon HAMI. Question, so,
- 5:27moving forward to August ninth, twenty nineteen, you checked into
- 5:31your shift at four pm that day? Is that correct? Answer? Correct? Question?
- 5:37And what time did you leave the next day? Answer
- 5:39after eight? Question? Am? Answer am correct question? How many
- 5:44rounds did you conduct in the shoe on your shift
- 5:46on that night? Answer on the for to midnight? Question yeah? Answer,
- 5:52I don't have an exact number, but I did a
- 5:54few rounds. I can tell you. I can't tell you
- 5:56an exact number. Question and what about counts? Answer for
- 6:00the counts? I counted at ten improperly? Question improperly because
- 6:06Officer Thomas did not want to do it with you?
- 6:08Answer bon HAMI question bon haami? Thank you? How many
- 6:12rounds would you say that mister Epstein cell got the
- 6:15night of August ninth, twenty nineteen. Answer, I can't give
- 6:19you an exact number, but a few, like we went
- 6:21to go feed. While you're feeding, you're going to each tier,
- 6:25you're conversing with the inmate. You give out toilet paper,
- 6:28you're going to each cell, you're conversing with the inmate.
- 6:32So there was a few. I can't give you an
- 6:34exact number. And that was on the flour to midnight
- 6:37and Epstein was not there the entire shift. Epstein would
- 6:40have come up later on that evening because he was
- 6:43an attorney conference. Just to be clear, So like at
- 6:46four when I had come on, he's not there. Question
- 6:49do you know what time he came into his cell? Answer?
- 6:52I want to say after eight. Question what did that
- 6:55process look like? The moving of the shoe inmate from
- 6:58one cell like with his attorney to a shoe cell. Answer,
- 7:02so when Epstein got to the shoe, he came in
- 7:05the shoe with his name was Bullock, and he was
- 7:07placed in a shower. He didn't go directly to his cell,
- 7:10but placed in the shower to use the phone, not
- 7:12the shower. Question why was there a phone in the shower.
- 7:17Answer because there is only one jack that works near
- 7:20the shower, so he was placed there where it was
- 7:22plugged in because the jack was closest to the shower cell.
- 7:27Question could inmates make calls from the shower? Answer that's
- 7:31where they put the shoe to make the call because
- 7:33the jack is there. Question right, Could they make calls
- 7:36anytime they wanted to to shower? Answer? No? Question was
- 7:41it regulated? Answer? So in the shoe it's specific to
- 7:45like a certain time that you get to use the phone.
- 7:47And I think you're on the disciplinary you don't get
- 7:50to use it. That's like different. But that day Bullock
- 7:53allowed mister Epstein to use the phone. Question and Bullock
- 7:57was the correctional officer. Answer No, Bullock was a counselor
- 8:01question okay, answer a unit counselor question okay, mister Grant. Question,
- 8:07you mentioned that you would converse with inmates when giving
- 8:09them their food or when giving them toilet tries such
- 8:12as toilet paper. Can you recall what your interactions with
- 8:15mister Epstein were when you would interact with him? Did
- 8:18he see him in good spirits? Did he you have conversations? Answer?
- 8:24He was never there for that question. He was never
- 8:27there for that, Okay? Is that unusual that inmates is
- 8:31never there when you're providing food or providing toilet tries?
- 8:34Answer for mister Epstein because he's downstairs with his attorney
- 8:37the entire time that he's allotted to be with his attorney,
- 8:41so ninety percent of the time he's not on the
- 8:43shoe unit. Question understood, Thank you. Answer you're welcome. Question
- 8:48were you aware that mister Epstein attempted to commit suicide
- 8:51in his cell on July twenty three, twenty nineteen. Answer yes.
- 8:55Question how did you become aware of this incident? Answer
- 8:59and inmate told me? Question do you know whatch inmate?
- 9:02Answer Tartaglioni. Question is that mister Nicholas Tartaglioni. Answer yeah,
- 9:09So he's the source of all this information about what
- 9:12happened in that jel cell. Go ahead and believe it
- 9:14if you want. We're not going to be buying it here.
- 9:20Question how soon after the incident happened were you made
- 9:23aware of it? Answer the next day? Question was that
- 9:26your next shift? Answer yes, question so the inmate told
- 9:30you on your next shift? Answer correct, Mister Grant, did
- 9:34anyone else at the MCC inform you of mister Epstein's
- 9:38suicide attempt. The first one, mister well not to my recollection.
- 9:42No question, were you involved in any way of handling
- 9:46of the incident? Answer of the attempt at suicide? Question yes, answer,
- 9:51I wasn't on shift that day. Question Okay, was there
- 9:54anything that was happening the next day while you were
- 9:57on shift? Answer no, Mister Foy, I need to have
- 10:01a word real quick with miss Noel. Mister Foy, The
- 10:05thing I'm trying to clarify, right, you're saying that Jeffrey
- 10:07Epstein attempted to commit suicide on July twenty third, twenty nineteen.
- 10:12After the fact, of course, there were reports to suggest
- 10:15that maybe he didn't write, that it was some sort
- 10:18of way to manipulate a cell situation and different things,
- 10:21whether right Tartaglioni did something to him, and then of
- 10:24course Jeffrey doesn't remember what happened. So when we're saying
- 10:28he tried to commit suicide on July twenty third, that's
- 10:31not her saying that, because it's up in the air
- 10:34whether that was actually a suicide attempt versus a manipulation
- 10:38on behalf of Epstein in the case, or if it
- 10:41was just an attack by TARTAGLIONI to send a message.
- 10:44It's amazing that so many people discount that. But it's okay.
- 10:48In about five years, when I'm proven right again, we'll
- 10:52be here. Question. So I just didn't want it to
- 11:00be that she is somehow confirming that he tried to
- 11:02kill himself on July twenty. Third question, and we have
- 11:05some questions that will come up that will help clarify
- 11:08that question as a result of the incident, where you
- 11:13directed to take specific approaches to mister Epstein, Answer no question.
- 11:18Did you have to make any sort of special report?
- 11:20Answer no question. Fill out any log answer no question,
- 11:25make note of any of his behavior? Answer no question.
- 11:29Did you have to speak with any MCC psychologist? Answer
- 11:32no question. Would MCC psychologists come and visit mister Epstein
- 11:38while you were on shift? Answer no question. At no
- 11:42point while you were working in the shoe Did you
- 11:44see an MCC psychologist visit mister Epstein? Answer not on
- 11:48my shift. Question Did you know whether they did? Answer?
- 11:54I don't know. All right, folks, We're going to wrap
- 11:56up right here and in the next episode, dealing with
- 11:58the topic. We're gonna pick cup where we left off.
