- Chris Laker: it's October. It's cooling down finally. The earth is heating up. It's not gonna stop the glaciers from melting. But all these heat waves, I guess they're done. Be a little more comfortable. Halloween's coming up. Everybody enjoys that. I don't care about Halloween that much, but I like horror movies. I like candy. I like the decorations. I don't dress up. There's the Halloween horror nights at Universal that a lot of people are going to, but there I feel like you're paying for a lot of IP. there's the Sinners maze. There's an Ozzy Osbourne maze. I don't think he had anything to do with the creation of that maze. I think I'll go to the no branded, knott's scary farm mazes and just be scared by generic scariness as opposed to, remember that movie? You want to be scared by that movie? These guys kind of look like they're in the movie. Remember Sinners? yeah, it's kind of less scary because it reminds you of the movie, but then you still get scared because they yell at you unexpectedly when you turn a corner. go on a haunted hayride, carve a pumpkin. Let's get into it. It's October. Let's October it up. I'm gonna get to the news. Renee Good's family sues US government and immigration officials over her killing in Minneapolis. they're definitely not gonna do any disciplinary action or prosecute the dude who murdered her, in my opinion, murdered. Didn't legally murder, I guess it's not considered actual murder. It's looked like a murder to me. but it's not legally that. I'm speaking hyperbolically. Let's say that. Nothing's happening to that dude. do something to get some acknowledgement. Seems like a hollow victory. 'Cause you can't even sue the dude. Government's got more money than the dude. The dude just has his ice bonus money, which isn't even a bonus, it's a loan. And then if he gets fired, he's gotta pay it back. That's fun. I like that. Eventually there's gonna be a lot of stories about these ice dudes having to pay back their bonuses because they didn't make it the five years. And I won't feel bad for any of them. They should be able to sue that Greg Bovino, the guy that used to like to dress up like he was in the SS. He had that leather trench coat. What a fucking creep. Now he's probably speaking at some sort of right wing conference for money. Tennessee inmate still alive after being administered two lethal injections, her lawyer says. And this is the woman I was talking about yesterday, Krista Pike, who was supposed to be executed in Tennessee. And they stopped the execution to look more at the details of the case. And I guess they did that for about two hours and said, Okay, execute her. I didn't know that happened with the lethal injection. I say you are now legally dead. She gets a new social security number, new name, and goes into the world. The death penalty was administered. And that was it. I don't think they get another chance to kill her. They stopped all executions in the state of Tennessee until they can figure out how to really kill people. Which there's a lot of ways to do that. You could shoot them, firing squad. You could hit them with a bus. That's not a guarantee. You could give them a faulty wing suit. There's a guy who died the other day with his wings his wingsuit didn't work. Hanging, that's the old timey one. Guillotine. that's gruesome. you wanna kill people? It's gonna be messy. Maybe the lethal injection company used to be run by a family who cared. They put pride into their lethal injections and you felt it. Now private equity came in, bought it, decided, we could just water it down a bit and here you go. Tennessee, if you wanna keep killing people, figure it the fuck out. Of course I'm against the death penalty. Florida mom left infant toddler and two other kids home alone while she went on a three day cruise, officials say. People complain about the helicopter parents. some of the older millennials will brag about how they got left alone when they were kids, latchkey kids, nobody was watching us, we got to do whatever we wanted. Now here's a parent who's really doing it and everybody's upset. This is what makes kids more independent. You leave them alone and then they figure things out. It's like the movie Home Alone. He was very childish, left to his own devices. he figured out how to buy groceries, do laundry, shave, and thwart criminals. An infant too young. Toddler probably also too young. Overly ambitious mother, They're all okay, don't do that if you're a parent. I don't have children. I don't know how any of this stuff works. I don't know what age is supposed to leave them alone. Student dies after falling from fourth floor of building at Highland Park School. Highland Park that's in Los Angeles. this school is built like an embassy Suites. You ever stay at embassy Suites? You go up a few floors and get vertigo looking down, you Feels like an inefficient use of space just have a big nothing in the middle of the building. I kinda like that. But yeah, you look down you get vertigo. And so this school is like that. So the kid got into a fight and he's running from this other kid and he jumps over the railing. The people who want kids to get punched in the face. I don't know, is that still a thing people are saying? They used to I don't know if they still say this. I haven't heard this in a while actually. But it would be kids they need to be punched in the face. The kids don't don't get punched in the face anymore, And yeah, they shouldn't because dumb shit happens. I got punched in the face a lot when I was kid Like I said on that James Corden late night show. You can't see it anymore, it's not on YouTube. but this yeah, this kid got into a fight and it he ended up dying. don't know what the circumstances of the fight were. Doesn't really matter. 'Cause even if the kid was getting bullied by the other kid, the bully is probably in some cycle of abuse too. we've been in a cycle of abuse, probably starting back from whenever we started. You can't really end it. some people can stop their own personal cycle of abuse, but as a society, it takes everybody to do it, and then, you know, that can't happen. That's that's asking a lot of everybody. Yeah, so some people are very busy. They don't have time to also end their cycle of abuse. So they have to continue it. And it's sort of their fault. I don't know who to blame. I'm not placing blame right now. just saying what I think to be true, which is probably not even true. Tokyo court grants legal protection to human voices in AI clone case. It's nice to know my voice is legally protected in Japan. Because somebody eventually is going to take all the episodes of this show and try to make an AI version of it. And not in Japan, you won't. That's an odd number to say, more than two hundred. Yeah, it's more than two hundred and seventy. It's probably thousands. It's so many. and that's just in Massachusetts, Chicago Pope seems like a nice enough guy. And then there was that other Pope before him. Seemed like an all right dude. But the Catholic Church is mostly a child rape cult. That's why the Republicans love it so much. And as g like cool as this Chicago Pope is, is he stopping playing games with hiding all the church's money, making sure that nobody can get paid restitution. And a priest never tried to like fuck me or anything. when I was an altar boy, I knew priests did that shit. 'cause it was like jokes about it. I don't even understand how like that spotlight thing was such a big deal, like, we found out the priests are mele everybody everybody fucking knew that shit. It wasn't a shock to the church. it's nice that the Pope isn't a f complete dickhead, but the Catholic Church is still a criminal organization. In my opinion. Hegzeth confirms that the US military will cut 20% of its generals and admirals. I don't understand that. I thought they love the military. To consolidate power, I guess. Or is this a privatize the military thing? there's always these comparisons made. news stories now that this is like Starship Troopers, this is like Robocop, this is like ideography. Republicans have bad media literacy, so they don't really get a message from the movie that's intended. So people just gotta make movies that show bright future with good things maybe that'll seep in to their consciousness and then universal healthcare. Like they see Elysium and they're like, that's a good idea. And they probably don't finish the movies a lot of time. It's like how they can listen to Rage Against the Machine. Rage Against the Machine just tells you if somebody disagrees with you, yell at them. Former Homeland Security Secretary Christy Nome files for divorce from her husband of thirty four years. Respect their privacy. No, not really. I mean I would if they weren't judgmental awful people. Just be cool. And nobody cares you get divorced. Everybody gets divorced. Not a big deal. It's normal. It's what you're supposed to do. That's why I'm not married, because I don't want to get divorced. I've been divorced. It was fine. She shouldn't be allowed to get divorced. It it's so much fun she shouldn't be allowed to get it. you should have to get it approved, the divorce, and then so you go to court to get divorced but you're a Republican. You don't believe in that. You believe in the sanctity of marriage. you're not allowed. You have to stay in the sanctity of marriage. under most circumstances. you gotta stay married. And you have to live together. Norway Parliament probes Epstein links to politicians diplomats. why would you do that, Norway? We've already proven that Epstein had no ties to anybody. there's nobody to prosecute over the Epstein files. just Epstein and what's their name? Gas lean. And she's in a very nice minimum security prison, which she's not supposed to be in. Who knows why? yeah, it's got nothing to do with you, Norway. don't hold your politicians accountable for the Epstein files. It's gonna make us look bad. More tariffs. That's what you're gonna get.
