- 2:36probably wondering if my voice is changing.
- 2:38It cracked a little bit over the last 48 hours and I've been
- 2:43screaming a lot. Not at anybody particular, but I
- 2:47I mean, obviously everything that's going on in sports, you
- 2:49have to scream if you're a Jet fan.
- 2:52Are you mad about the Dante Moore move?
- 2:55Does Dante hurt the New York Jets?
- 2:58Well, ladies and gentlemen, we will get into that a little bit
- 3:01later in the show. I I'll give you my take on it
- 3:04maybe a little bit until next week.
- 3:06I do have a story out Speedy and I know is it up.
- 3:09It is up. Why don't you tell the fans what
- 3:12the title of the story is? Yeah, so why The Jets are
- 3:16winners? Because of Dante Moore is the
- 3:18main premise of it all. You Jets fans, Errol actually
- 3:21has a positive thought process on The Jets.
- 3:23I thought long and deep and I mean long and deep about this
- 3:29story when Dante Moore, the announcement, I know Nathan sent
- 3:32us a a group text message that Dante Moore is going to head
- 3:37back to Oregon. And everybody was like, there
- 3:39was a frenzy out there. For all you New York Jet fans,
- 3:44oh, The Jets aren't going to get their quarterback this year.
- 3:46Maybe it works best that The Jets don't land their
- 3:50quarterback this year. They wait until next year where
- 3:54there's AI would say about 5 or 6 complete quarterbacks coming
- 3:59out of the class and we can talk about that next year.
- 4:02But I, I know a lot of people over the last, I would say 15
- 4:07hours were upset because Dante Moore was sitting there at #2
- 4:11because Mendoza is the predominant #1 pick after the
- 4:15Oregon Ducks slashing. So a lot of people are upset
- 4:19that maybe The Jets don't get a quarterback, but maybe The Jets
- 4:23are sitting there at 2:00. Maybe they trade down and they
- 4:27add to their draft stock with which Moji has done a
- 4:30significant job going into the trade deadline and landing
- 4:33themselves a positive draft stock of players that they can
- 4:38land in the next two years. So I'm not upset about this, but
- 4:43I'll get into the insurance and the outs.
- 4:44I did it in my story. If you guys want to check it out
- 4:47on the Worldwide Sports Radio Network, it's
- 4:49www.worldwidesportsradio.com. The NFL Divisional Round begins
- 4:55this Saturday with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills taking on
- 5:01Bo Nicks and the Broncos. The Bills have a top four
- 5:06offense in both points and yards per game, while the Broncos have
- 5:10a top three defense in both yards and points per game.
- 5:15The Bills also own the number one pass defense in the NFL.
- 5:21In the nightcap, Kyle Shanahan and 49ers take on possible Coach
- 5:26of the year Mike McDonald to and and top seeded the Seattle
- 5:30Seahawks. This is a rematch.
- 5:33Of the week. 18 game where the Seattle Seahawks won, giving
- 5:39them the first round by the 49ers.
- 5:43Beat the Seattle Seahawks way back in Week 1, splitting this
- 5:48season series. In this NFC West rivalry, the
- 5:53Seahawks have the number one points per game has the number
- 5:56one points per game defense in the NFL against the 49ers
- 6:00offense, which is top ten in both yards and points per game,
- 6:05but will be without George Kittle with a torn.
- 6:10Achilles Sundays Sundays kicks at Sundays games kick off with
- 6:15the with. CJ Strout and the Houston Texans
- 6:18traveling to Foxborough to match up with Drake May and the
- 6:22Patriots. Both teams have excellent
- 6:24defenses, with the Texans ranked near the top of the league in
- 6:28mostly everything every category.
- 6:31Quarterback Drake May will have to get his offense going after
- 6:36only scoring 16 points last week against a tough Chargers.
- 6:41D. Finally, Sean McVeigh and the
- 6:45Rams travel to Chicago to take on rookie head coach Ben Johnson
- 6:50and the Bears. These two offenses are elite.
- 6:55The Rams ranked number one in the NFL with MVP favorite
- 6:59Matthew Stafford at quarterback and stud wide receiver
- 7:03Pukanakua, while 2 thousand 2024's number one pick Caleb
- 7:09Williams looks to keep the magic going after a huge comeback win
- 7:14over the Packers in the Wild Card game.
- 7:19Everybody here in New York can't wait until this game against the
- 7:25Broncos. And again, it's not a prime time
- 7:29game. It's it's the first game of the
- 7:33weekend and that to me froze me off.
- 7:36I Josh Allen, it is to me the best quarterback out of all
- 7:41these quarterbacks still in the playoffs.
- 7:44He's the big superstar. This is the guy that Errol do
- 7:48we? Do we know why they like
- 7:51schedule those games? Like do they pick a game?
- 7:54No, the NFL. I have no idea why the NFL
- 7:58decided to go with the Buffalo Bills as the first game.
- 8:01And the NFL has their own obviously choices.
- 8:04Maybe they think the headlining game is Seattle in the 49ers,
- 8:08being that the the Seattle Seahawks in the 49ers have
- 8:11played against one another a significant amount of times in
- 8:14both games were fun to watch. I don't know, but I will say
- 8:18this, watching the Buffalo Bills last week and seeing what Josh
- 8:23Allen is as as a player on his team as an important piece to
- 8:29that team, it only shows you why I believe.
- 8:34This is a. Prime time game, everything you
- 8:36think about when it comes to quarterback play, when you want
- 8:39a strong arm, a guy that can move outside of the pocket, run
- 8:42through people, run through walls, when it comes to getting
- 8:45first downs, this is what this man does.
- 8:48And I'm not saying Bo Nicks isn't a good quarterback.
- 8:50I'm not saying Bo Nicks can't win this game in Denver.
- 8:54This team was the number one seed in the AFC, but a very weak
- 8:58AFC. All season long.
- 9:00It was either the Broncos or the Patriots.
- 9:02The Patriots with their, I guess, scale of schedule when it
- 9:06comes to their teams that they played and the Broncos who
- 9:10really barely won most of their games, they should have lost
- 9:13against The Jets. If we go on and on and on about
- 9:16their record and their complete games, especially finishing
- 9:21games the way they did, they remind me of the Minnesota
- 9:24Vikings when they played the New York Giants, when the Giants
- 9:27knocked them out in the divisional game.
- 9:29Remember that to me? Oh yeah, that was, but it's also
- 9:32author viewership two of those games to like you, you look at
- 9:36time zones and and all the other stuff.
- 9:38So I, I think that's probably what goes into it of
- 9:43understanding how much I you're going to get on the game, even
- 9:49though like as, as we see it, we see the best game that should be
- 9:53prime time. Dude, the best game is no doubt
- 9:56the Buffalo Bills I. Don't know I I'm not
- 9:58disagreeing. And the Broncos, first of all,
- 10:00the Broncos are West, they're W team central, whatever.
- 10:04They are right behind Las Vegas. So they're 3 hours a difference
- 10:09over here from New York. And, and to me, I'd rather see
- 10:13Buffalo Bill, the Buffalo Bills in a prime time game, maybe move
- 10:16Seattle, or maybe you take Seattle, move them to the second
- 10:20day and move the Patriots as game #1 why does anybody want to
- 10:24see the Texans versus the Patriots?
- 10:26I know it's game number one on Sunday.
- 10:29I don't want to watch that game. The Patriots, yeah, they were
- 10:32the number two seed. Were they really, Are they
- 10:34really worth the time and energy to watch?
- 10:38Yeah. Drake May is our MVP candidate.
- 10:40That's because honestly, when you look at the the quarterbacks
- 10:43that played this year, Lamar Jackson wasn't healthy this
- 10:46year. You know, Joe Burrow wasn't
- 10:47healthy this year. If you Patrick Mahomes wasn't
- 10:50healthy this year. So you you look at the the
- 10:53quality of quarterback play, of course you look at Matthew
- 10:56Stafford as a veteran. You would think after what
- 10:59Matthew Stafford did and probably the hardest division in
- 11:02football this year, you would give it to him.
- 11:04But everybody likes Drake May because of Drake May winning 10
- 11:07games in a row and what Drake May did all season long.
- 11:10And then last week, I wouldn't say had the best game, but
- 11:14played against Justin Herbert, who is I?
- 11:16I'm not playing with Justin Herbert, an offensive line that
- 11:20was 100% not healthy. He lost Slater and Alt Earl
- 11:24Slater or before the season started, alt before the season
- 11:27even went to the second-half. So you lost a significant amount
- 11:31of talent before you even got into the playoffs.
- 11:33And Jim Harbaugh, just there's a little bit of credit for what
- 11:35they did. But to get back to the Josh
- 11:37Allen situation, Josh Allen doesn't have superstar wide
- 11:41receivers. He doesn't.
- 11:43He's got one of the elite running backs in the league and
- 11:46Cook and and Cook didn't. James Cook didn't look very
- 11:50good. Last year, last week.
- 11:51He didn't. And I, I want to see more of
- 11:54this running game that has been the best running game in the NFL
- 11:58all season long if they expect to beat the Broncos.
- 12:01And the Broncos are one of the best run stopping teams in the
- 12:05NFL, one of the best all around defenses in the NFL.
- 12:08You wouldn't believe that when you think about who the head
- 12:11coach is and Sean Payton. Sean Payton, who's an offensive
- 12:14mighty coach. And going into the season, when
- 12:17we had Sanderson on the show before the season started, I
- 12:20asked him who is your second optional player that's going to
- 12:23catch the ball? And he couldn't answer me.
- 12:26Who did he give? Us a rookie.
- 12:29A rookie. And maybe that's the reason why
- 12:32this is the first game of the weekend, because there's no
- 12:35superstar wide receivers. On both sides of the ball.
- 12:38There really isn't there there. There are great wide receivers,
- 12:42but one great wide receiver. But there's no elite wide
- 12:47receivers in this game. And there's definitely no elite
- 12:49tight end. No.
- 12:51No, so you got you look at two from the viewership side, like
- 12:55Bills fans are crazy. Like that's that's just.
- 12:57That's why, that's why. So they're, they're going to
- 12:59watch no matter what time the the game's on, right?
- 13:02You want the younger kids to watch this game and and again
- 13:06during the during Saturday afternoon.
- 13:09What are kids doing? They're playing sports, they're
- 13:11hanging out with their friends. It's still kind of light
- 13:14outside. I I mean, it's getting dark, but
- 13:16their parents are letting them go out and play video games.
- 13:19You want these kids, especially here in New York and New York is
- 13:22such a big market. The Buffalo Bills have such a
- 13:24great following. What are you going to do?
- 13:27You're you're this is back-to-back weeks where you
- 13:29have the Buffalo Bills not at a prime time game.
- 13:33And that's where job we could go back and forth on why the NFL
- 13:37does this. And yeah, maybe they look at how
- 13:40many, how many clicks are on whatever they, how they rate
- 13:44the, the games or something. I don't know how they do it.
- 13:47The NFL doesn't give us that information on how this all
- 13:50works and how they decide from one team to another or one game
- 13:54to another in a divisional divisional series.
- 13:57What I do know is I I look at the Broncos and I look at the
- 14:02the Buffalo Bills. Whoever wins this game I believe
- 14:06is probably going to get to the Super Bowl.
- 14:09As good as the Texans defense is and how good they looked against
- 14:13the Pittsburgh Steelers, it's the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 14:16It's the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's Aaron Rodgers who's like 80
- 14:20years old. This is this is a different the
- 14:24both these teams, the Buffalo Bills and the Broncos are two
- 14:26different teams. If they match up against the
- 14:28Broncos, it's defense versus defense and it's not going to be
- 14:31much of offense. It's going to be one of the most
- 14:34boring games to watch watching the Broncos and the Texans.
- 14:37And then if you look at the Buffalo Bills and the Patriots,
- 14:39well, a lot of people predict could happen.
- 14:42I don't know if I want to watch that game either, even though
- 14:44both both games this year were fun to watch.
- 14:48I I just to me as a football fan, I don't want to see the
- 14:52Buffalo Bills and and Josh Allen play against the New England
- 14:56Patriots and Drake May to watch the New England Patriots
- 14:59obviously get lucky and jump ahead of the Buffalo Bills and
- 15:03go to another Super Bowl with another quarterback.
- 15:06I don't want to see that. Now, it could happen and I'm not
- 15:09complaining about that. But the NFL has to look at these
- 15:12in particular games and and wonder how did, like you said,
- 15:16how do they choose from one game to another on where they start
- 15:19the prime time game or where, which team or what, what game
- 15:21they're going to put at prime time and what game they're going
- 15:24to put out the game before I I don't get it.
- 15:26But again, looking at this game, it's, it's really the the two
- 15:32defensive teams. The Buffalo Bills are one of the
- 15:34best pass rushing defenses in the league, but they can't stop
- 15:37the run. And the Broncos, who lost the
- 15:40running back early in the season, have this kid Harvey,
- 15:43who a lot of people like. Is he going to have a lot of
- 15:46pressure on him? And are the Broncos going to put
- 15:49Sean Payne, going to put a lot of pressure on him to take the
- 15:52pressure off his young quarterback at Bo Nicks?
- 15:54Because Bo Nicks has been here before, but he came up short.
- 15:59He's seen this before. Sean Payton has done a
- 16:03successful job with a with a rookie quarterback while second
- 16:06year quarterback. But the way I still look at it,
- 16:09he's still a young quarterback who's played college football
- 16:13till the age of 2425. So he's one of the older second
- 16:17year quarterbacks we've seen in a very long time.
- 16:19Has been successful in his freshman year and has been up
- 16:22and down in his sophomore year. I don't know if I'm up to
- 16:26watching this game, I'm going to watch it.
- 16:28Obviously, I'm rooting for the Buffalo Bills, but there's
- 16:31nothing in this game that stands out to me.
- 16:34Really nothing. The battle of the coaches,
- 16:36really. I know Sean Payton has a heavy
- 16:38advantage and everybody's going to give Sean Payton the heavy
- 16:42advantage. Now, that doesn't mean Sean
- 16:43Payton's going to win, but Sean Payton's the only one out of
- 16:46these two coaches that have won a Super Bowl before.
- 16:50And again, when everybody, all the giant fans out there are so
- 16:52excited about John Harbaugh, if they land John Harbaugh, I mean,
- 16:56half of these guys, Mike Tomlin's won one Super Bowl,
- 16:59Mike McCarthy won one Super Bowl, John Harbaugh won one
- 17:03Super Bowl. So you you look at the game
- 17:05advantage in this game, obviously winning goes to Sean
- 17:09Payton. But the Buffalo Bills have been
- 17:11here every single year, and this is your chance.
- 17:15They don't have to jump Lamar Jackson.
- 17:17They don't have to jump the Cincinnati Bengals.
- 17:20They don't have to jump Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City
- 17:24Chiefs, who are their kryptonite.
- 17:26It's been that way for the last few seasons.
- 17:30This is his chance. You knock off the Broncos, you
- 17:33can book their way to the Super Bowl.
- 17:35I think they beat the Texans. I think they beat the Patriots.
- 17:38This is their chance. When I when you look at this
- 17:41game, I I mean it. There's nothing that I really
- 17:44speedy. Does anything in this game stand
- 17:46out to you that you're excited to watch?
- 17:48Yeah, it's interesting because the Broncos running attack has
- 17:51been good in the second-half of the season.
- 17:53But again, is it enough for you could trust a rookie to just do
- 17:56things randomly all at once? And we saw that in the Super
- 17:58Bowl run the Broncos had with Peyton Manning.
- 18:00They had Ronnie Hillman and CJ Anderson, guys like that break
- 18:03out of nowhere. So if they could expose that
- 18:05match of advantage in the game because they do have the
- 18:07offensive line. The Broncos offensive line and
- 18:09the Bills offensive line are both top five in the league this
- 18:11year. But the Broncos cannot win if
- 18:13with a high passing volume and expect to be able to win this
- 18:15game because the Bills secondary has been very good and the Bills
- 18:18pass rush is still very good. That's not my question.
- 18:22I asked you why do you think this game is so exciting?
- 18:25If if you're not a fan or you're not interested in football and
- 18:29some of your your girlfriend pops on a football game and
- 18:33you're not interested in sports, what would sell you about this
- 18:36game? Potentially turnovers I think
- 18:38for one with their. With, oh, that's what it is,
- 18:40potential turnovers. That's why I'm going to watch
- 18:43the game. If you were a new fan and you
- 18:47wanted to watch this game, what would sell me to watch this
- 18:50game? Give me, give me your sale.
- 18:52Pitch Well, yeah, the main thing is Josh Allen, obviously, he's
- 18:54the most talented quarterback right now in the league and.
- 18:57That's your sale pitch. I'm just.
- 19:00Analyzing a a thing. Like I'm asking you give me a
- 19:03sale pitch. I'm not.
- 19:05I'm analyzing a game. I'm I'm analyzing you on you
- 19:09trying to sell me to watch this game because to me, when I look
- 19:12at I want to see this as a product on game because I want
- 19:15to see Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills on a product on
- 19:17game because this is a New York team.
- 19:20But besides that, if you were trying to sell this to a
- 19:24sponsor, how would you sell it? Josh Allen?
- 19:27That's it. What if if you're watching,
- 19:29you've watched both these teams all season long and I've watched
- 19:32both these teams and up and down the Buffalo Bills have been up
- 19:35and down all season long. They're they they picked up
- 19:38their their games in the second-half of the season.
- 19:41Josh Allen really had to pick up his game.
- 19:43He didn't have the season he had last year.
- 19:45But I don't even think Josh Allen should have won the MVP
- 19:48last year. Lamar Jackson should have, But
- 19:51if I look at this game and I'm looking at the Broncos,
- 19:53obviously Jabba's his. His son Cart is a big Broncos
- 19:57fan. If you're not a fan of any of
- 19:59these teams, what would you do if you were trying to sell this
- 20:02game to a fan that's not? Interested.
- 20:05Yeah, it's not again, it's not a team that's it's not either one
- 20:07of these teams that have one flashy receiver.
- 20:09I think that's maybe where you're the angle you're getting
- 20:11at because that's the other position that gets a lot of
- 20:12hype. Obviously outside of the
- 20:13quarterback and you talk about it like Courtland Sutton's
- 20:15really the only receiver that is like a is a star in any.
- 20:19He's not a *. It's a great play, yeah.
- 20:21Again, he's in that second tier of all, right?
- 20:23He's deserving of his contract, A20 plus $1,000,000 a year wide
- 20:26receiver. But again, that's what you're
- 20:28looking at when it comes to those flashy names because James
- 20:31Cook would be the other one that is kind of a flashy name.
- 20:33But Even so, he's a fourth year running back that really only
- 20:36started to get going in the second-half of the 2023 season.
- 20:38But Speedy, you're right. I think like where Errol's going
- 20:43with it. But I think you said it's like
- 20:46it is Josh Allen. And that's kind of what what we
- 20:49talked about previously is like those one ABC guys of franchise
- 20:55quarterbacks. And what changes the team like
- 20:59Josh Allen is the drive. And I think what Errol was going
- 21:03towards was like what, other than Josh Allen?
- 21:06Because let's, let's we're stating the obvious.
- 21:10What other gets you excited about it?
- 21:12No, I understand what you guys are saying and you're right
- 21:15because most of these other teams are built on the offensive
- 21:17line. When the Broncos and the Bills
- 21:19both are top five and they have pass rushes.
- 21:20Broncos are definitely top five pass rush and the Bills are
- 21:22probably a top 10. So they're built in the trenches
- 21:25that don't have as much of the. Flash, we know defense wins
- 21:27championships, but the NFL has built the league on offenses and
- 21:31and both teams. When you look at Sean Payton, he
- 21:34has been Mr. Offense. He came from the Saints.
- 21:37He came from Drew Brees. 5000 hard seasons with Rue Brees,
- 21:41dominant offenses from the Saints year in and year out.
- 21:45Their defenses were good as we all know that the gates that
- 21:49happened over there. Yeah.
- 21:50And then they fell off badly after that.
- 21:52Yeah, but again, you you expect Sean Payton to put up big time
- 21:56points and and this year their offense wasn't elite.
- 21:59I'm sorry they weren't. And Bonex had his big days and
- 22:02his big games. They were against bad teams
- 22:05mostly. Yeah, I was going to say a lot
- 22:06of he's had a lot of big games, but just not enough consistency
- 22:09and that's why their offense is still outside the top 10 as a
- 22:11result. So maybe that's why the NFL
- 22:13decided to move. That's where I was getting at.
- 22:16Maybe the NFL was looking at the Broncos and looking at the Bills
- 22:20and saying, hey, this is not going to be a highly profiled
- 22:23offensive game. This is, this might scare our
- 22:26sponsors away because this could be a low scoring game, which
- 22:30more than likely when the NFL thinks about these kind of
- 22:33things, they're high scoring games.
- 22:35They're completely different the way the NFL expects them to be.
- 22:39But yes, Josh Allen is the big name.
- 22:41He's the the big draw. But back and forth, when you
- 22:45look at these two teams, I don't think there's anything about
- 22:47these two teams that makes me get hot or makes me get want to
- 22:52get high. I mean, seriously.
- 22:54Kenny Kenny will get high no matter what football games are
- 22:56at. This point, I'm just speaking
- 22:58the truth here, and maybe that's why.
- 22:59And Speaking of something that's going to get you really hot is
- 23:03the Seattle Seahawks and the 49ers, because you got CMC, you
- 23:08got him over there. Christian McCaffrey is one of
- 23:11the more elite offensive options in the NFL.
- 23:14And then you have Seattle Nick Jigbaugh, one of the best, if
- 23:17not the best wide receiver in the NFL.
- 23:20You have Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy, Sam Darnold, who's a top
- 23:23three pick by the New York Jets, who's flourished over there in
- 23:27Seattle. And then you have Brock Purdy.
- 23:29It was the last pick in the seventh round and has become an
- 23:33elite quarterback right in front of our eyes.
- 23:35And that was in the same draft where I, I think San Francisco
- 23:38go trade it up three first round draft picks to get a guy that is
- 23:43a, a, what is he 1/3 backup, backup corner with the Chargers?
- 23:47I mean, he's horrible. So it just shows you how the NFL
- 23:51looks at these games and that's where I was getting at.
- 23:54That's the whole point. Speedy's trying to nitpick and
- 23:57try to look at the analytics. There's nothing analytic about
- 24:00both these games except you have a team and two game, two games,
- 24:05one game that could be so very boring as we watch the Patriots
- 24:09and the Chargers play against one another in the, well, the
- 24:12second to final game, Sunday Night Football, where you would
- 24:14think Sunday Night Football is the draw.
- 24:17Everybody wants to watch Sunday Night Football.
- 24:20You know what? We watch A-60, a 16 to 3
- 24:24debacle, and we watched Drake May and, and really, I think a
- 24:29Patriot defense that's pretty damn pretty good against an
- 24:32offensive line that shouldn't have showed up because they're
- 24:35like 4th, 4th tier, you know, offensive lineman.
- 24:40They shouldn't have even played in that game.
- 24:42So that's that's where I know that's a good picture right now.
- 24:46That's a good picture right there.
- 24:47I I wouldn't, I wouldn't ask speedy to sell anything to
- 24:51anybody. I wouldn't want to.
- 24:52Sell anything. But that's what you are.
- 24:53You're an analytic guy. Wouldn't you?
- 24:55Wouldn't you try to sell this? No, I, well, I would and I I
- 24:59will. I could sell the Seattle
- 25:00Seahawks. I can sell the 49er and Seahawk
- 25:04game. And I'm like, here's my sell.
- 25:05When you look at elite teams offensively all season long, I
- 25:10would pick both these teams. Rock Purdy, the last three weeks
- 25:14has been as good of any as any quarterback in the league.
- 25:17It didn't matter who they played.
- 25:19He was elite all. Ever since he's come back and
- 25:24then you look at a guy like Sam Darnold and what he has done
- 25:28after getting that three-year, $100 million contract by the
- 25:32Seattle Seahawks in the offseason.
- 25:33Him and Nick Jigba have been a dynamic duo and they've got a
- 25:37great running game. Charbonnet and Walker.
- 25:41I mean that these guys are as good as a tandem in the NFL
- 25:45right now. They're.
- 25:46Off what do you think? What do you think the difference
- 25:48in this game is going to be? I think it's going to be the
- 25:51trenches. I think it's going to be what
- 25:54offensive line is going to take over the game when they need to
- 25:57to protect their quarterbacks. And I'm going to say the
- 25:59defenses now. Robert Sala last week was
- 26:04fantastic. His play calling last week was
- 26:08elite. When you look at the Eagles, the
- 26:10Eagles aren't an elite offensive team all season long, but they
- 26:13have elite players. A.J.
- 26:15Brown at one point was elite. Smith is an elite player.
- 26:19Goddard they have elite player. Saquon Barkley they have elite
- 26:23players. And what Robert solid did was he
- 26:26used their his strengths of his defense.
- 26:29He had a Kendricks what 48 hours before the game had him
- 26:34understand the offense to run his offense and what did he do?
- 26:37He made this, he made the Eagles beat them the way they couldn't
- 26:42beat teams all season long is use the air and they couldn't
- 26:46get the ball to their stars, they couldn't get the ball to
- 26:48A.J. Brown and they couldn't get the
- 26:50ball to Smith. And to me, that was the reason
- 26:53why I believe the 49ers won the game.
- 26:57And that's why I think this game is going to be interesting
- 27:00because you're going to have a cat and mouse game.
- 27:03You're going to have McDonald, who's one of the best defensive
- 27:05minds in the NFL right now, who's a head coach that really
- 27:09has delivered one of the elite offenses in the league and a
- 27:13very good defense all season long.
- 27:16And he he brought veteran players, ex Jets and Giants,
- 27:20Giants, Giants players to this team to help absorb the
- 27:24weaknesses that this team has had when they had guys like Pete
- 27:28Carroll there and Geno Smith. And you can see the difference
- 27:31of this team and the way they rotate, take their players and
- 27:34how much talent they have on their bench.
- 27:37If a play goes down, another man comes up.
- 27:39And that's that's the difference of this game.
- 27:41And that's why I think this game is going to be probably the best
- 27:44game of the weekend. Speedy is the fact, yeah, George
- 27:47Kittle is gone. It does affect the 49ers the way
- 27:50they run their offense. No doubt that it does.
- 27:53But when you look at both these teams, they have elite star
- 27:57power, elite. Could you imagine if Nick Bosa
- 28:00was in this game or Fred Warner was in this game?
- 28:04You know much? That's even crazier to think
- 28:06about it because the 49ers are not being that elite defense all
- 28:10season long. But Robert Saleh has figured out
- 28:13what his strengths and weaknesses are at the end of the
- 28:15season. And it's changed the factor of
- 28:18why the 49ers have moved on and the Eagles are sitting home
- 28:21playing golf. So I I think that this game
- 28:24stands out more than any of these games this weekend because
- 28:28of the factor of the talent on both sides of the ball.
- 28:31Yeah, I'm. Curious on the how the Seahawks
- 28:33are the Seahawks going to adjust to the Christian McCaffrey from
- 28:36the receiving game? Because they've done it in the
- 28:37running game so far. But sometimes those flat passes,
- 28:41that's why they a kiddo injury hurts because they if the
- 28:43Seattle Seahawks had one weakness last year, this year
- 28:46has been against tight ends. They're not great.
- 28:47They're league average against them, so if McCaffrey or any one
- 28:51of these other bigger slot receivers can get it going for
- 28:53the Niners, that would be the adjustment.
- 28:55That Jawan Jennings, I mean, he knows how to throw the ball,
- 28:57yes. Jawan, what kind of trick plays
- 29:01Kyle Shanahan could pull out? And then on the other end of it
- 29:04for the 49ers, can they get protection on the offensive line
- 29:07against that? Seattle interior roster's been
- 29:10really good this year and I talked about it with certain
- 29:12quarterbacks struggling against interior pressure.
- 29:15Rock Party I think has been one of them in his career.
- 29:17The Niners have not sometimes put either use Check or Kittle
- 29:20enough as a blocker to help them out.
- 29:22And now with use Check being the only guy there and having be
- 29:24used to receiver a lot last week, especially in the
- 29:26second-half when Kittle was down, will they be able to be
- 29:29able to block Byron Murphy and guys like that up front?
- 29:31And then on the other side, the 49ers have game plan for Najigba
- 29:34pretty well each of the first two meetings.
- 29:37Najigba got it going later in that game, but the Niners young
- 29:40secondary looked really good. And it's your boy Bembe Salah.
- 29:42Can he adjust to actually be creative in his scheme like he
- 29:45was last week against Seattle? We will see because McDonald has
- 29:48always been creative in his scheme.
- 29:50Well, and that's the thing too, and I'm glad Fish jumped in here
- 29:54because I've always looked at it too.
- 29:58And you guys have opened my eyes to like so many different
- 30:02aspects of the game where now Errol even touched on it a
- 30:07little bit. Like what coach with this
- 30:12certain aspect of the game, who who's going to make that chess
- 30:16match, right? Who's going to who's going to
- 30:18put the Rook in position? Who's going to put the Bishop
- 30:21over here to get a checkmate? And you said it was in the
- 30:25trenches. And we have one of the best and
- 30:28one of the smartest people I know when it comes to coaching
- 30:32and fish, where he can give us such a different aspect.
- 30:35Because I think when you get to this point, everybody knows
- 30:39everybody. It's who makes those adjustments
- 30:43and how do you make them. And I think it's the talent is
- 30:47obviously there. Yeah, we're talking about
- 30:50viewership and all the other stuff.
- 30:52But when it comes down to this game, I think it's it's very
- 30:56different. And as you said it Errol, it's
- 30:59like it starts in the trenches and this is where it goes.
- 31:02And what is that chess match going to be do Do I move my pawn
- 31:06here or, or what do I do? And and as fish can can speak on
- 31:10this better than any of us because obviously when none of
- 31:13us are coaches, where like what, what move do you make?
- 31:18You know, Jabba, he kind of lost his Rook.
- 31:20If we're going to talk about, you know, the chess analogies,
- 31:24when you lose a guy who can do both receiving and blocking,
- 31:28it's really a big loss. And George Kittle's loss is
- 31:31going to hurt them in their run game and it's going to hurt them
- 31:34in their pass game, but more in the run game.
- 31:37I don't think people realize how hard it is to set the edge to
- 31:41run an outside play. And they want to run outside
- 31:43zone a lot. This is a staple of the Kubiak
- 31:46offense, dating back to Terrell Davis and his father.
- 31:49And in both of their fathers, you know this is what they want
- 31:52to do. Back right now.
- 31:53I will because that's where this offense comes from.
- 31:56It's from Gary Kubiak and Mike Shanahan, and this is the same
- 32:00offense with obviously a whole bunch of bells and whistles and
- 32:03some real good trickery. I'm going to talk about that
- 32:05trick play and Fish's play of the week and after the break I
- 32:08have a whole bunch of stuff to say about it.
- 32:09But before we get there, I want to answer your question.
- 32:12I, as a coach, am always trying to see if I can't run outside.
- 32:16It's not easy. The line has to move as one and
- 32:19then whoever's playing tackle or if you have a tight end on the
- 32:22field, has to be really good at setting the edge.
- 32:25Jake Tongs or Tongas, I don't know how to pronounce his name.
- 32:27He's going to fill in for Kittle.
- 32:28Tongas. He's a good receiver.
- 32:30I don't know if he's going to be able to block like Kittle, and I
- 32:33would doubt it because nobody really blocks like Kittle.
- 32:35I think he's the best blocking tight end who's also a receiving
- 32:37tight end. Since Gronk played.
- 32:39No one's Gronk, but he's the closest thing we've had to Gronk
- 32:42since then. It's it's really tough.
- 32:44And then you have Trent Williams and you had Kittle and you can
- 32:49run to the left and you can pretty much be assured you're
- 32:51going to get the edge pretty much every time if they didn't
- 32:54get any penetration inside. CMC hasn't run as well this year
- 32:57as he's run in previous years. He's typical.
- 32:59He's he's banging on the door of 30.
- 33:02Maybe he's not the same super athlete as far as you know,
- 33:05burst that he used to have like straight out the gates.
- 33:09I don't see it the same where he's making those moves.
- 33:11But he's still a great, great player.
- 33:13He's one of the best receiving running backs we've ever seen in
- 33:15the history of the game. It's just they don't have a full
- 33:18deck that they're playing against this Mike McDonald
- 33:20defense. That defense is humming.
- 33:22And I'm a little concerned that Shanahan is going to have to
- 33:25rely on more trigger than he wants to in order to win this.
- 33:28Well, usually, usually in these games and I and I, I will say
- 33:31this, when, when you know you have your weaknesses, George
- 33:34Kittle is not playing, you expect that obviously there's
- 33:38going to be an advantage to the other team.
- 33:41But again, I've got to give Kyle Shane a little bit of credit.
- 33:44He's got pieces. He's got players on his roster
- 33:47that might not be able to block like Kittle, but could open up
- 33:50the open up the skilled positions and and again, they
- 33:53have the ability to still open up the offense and the offensive
- 33:58side of the book because they have CMC.
- 34:01He's still 100%. Healthy.
- 34:03That's that's where the chess mats comes in, though is like,
- 34:06now that you don't have that piece and like Fisher said, you
- 34:10took your Rook away. Now it's like, OK, how do how do
- 34:14I game plan? And now because I know I'm not
- 34:16going to be able to have that. Well, what he's going to do, and
- 34:19I'm going to tell you what he's going to do, he's going to use
- 34:20another offensive lineman. That's what he's going to do and
- 34:23that's what he's going to do. And that's what Kyle Shanahan
- 34:25has done all season long. George Kittle for years has been
- 34:29hurt. He the guy is not a healthy guy.
- 34:32He doesn't stay healthy all season long.
- 34:35The guy fights injury every single year because of the way
- 34:37he plays, he's aggressive and and the way he blocks.
- 34:41So what is Kyle Shanahan like to do?
- 34:42He likes to use 1/5 option, 1/5 optional offensive lineman or
- 34:47sometimes he uses a defensive lineman in the way he runs his
- 34:50offenses. So I've seen him do it.
- 34:53He's a smart man. He's not a he's not stupid.
- 34:55He understands the offensive side of the game.
- 34:57But the problem with obviously over the last couple of years
- 35:01since Robert Sala went to the New York Jets was the defensive
- 35:04side of the ball, the play calling on the defensive side of
- 35:07the ball. And ever since Robert Sala left,
- 35:10the defense hasn't been as good as it was when he was there.
- 35:14And now you see the difference. You see why Robert Sala was so
- 35:18really important to the way the 49ers ran their defense.
- 35:22And now you're seeing the difference.
- 35:23Robert Sala doesn't have elite players on the defensive line.
- 35:26He really doesn't. He lost two of the best players
- 35:30at their positions in the league and what is he doing?
- 35:33He's still finding ways to get to the quarterback.
- 35:36He's still finding way ways to put pressure on quarterbacks.
- 35:40And something that he hasn't done many, many times is
- 35:42blitzing, and he did that last week a lot.
- 35:46He blitzed something that he never did with The Jets.
- 35:49And, and, and again, that's something that is trickery.
- 35:52And maybe that's, that's the game plan.
- 35:54And I think in this game, they're going to have to use
- 35:57trickery if they're going to beat the Seattle Seahawks,
- 36:00because Seattle is very well built.
- 36:02They have a great offensive line, not a good a great
- 36:06offensive line. They've got star power at the
- 36:08running back position. They've got a good tight end.
- 36:11He's not an elite tight end, but he's a good tight end.
- 36:14And they don't have a number, a real top end #2 wide receiver.
- 36:19But pick up arguably the best wide receiver in the league.
- 36:22So when you have those kind of pieces and you have McDonald,
- 36:27who is one of the elite defensive minds in the NFL, and
- 36:31I don't want to hear anything from the Baltimore Ravens
- 36:33anymore or any fans out there to tell me that McDonald isn't a
- 36:37great defensive mind. Go look at the Baltimore Ravens
- 36:40defense since he's left. I mean, they they were a top
- 36:44five, top three defense. Where have they been over the
- 36:47last two years? Last year they got worse.
- 36:50This year they were one of the worst since McDonald's been
- 36:52gone. So you see how important a coach
- 36:56can be to run a defense. Speaking of important, CJ
- 37:00Stroud. And I think this game is
- 37:03interesting because you have the battle of two young
- 37:06quarterbacks. CJ Stroud, where he was rookie
- 37:10of the year a couple of years ago, this guy was probably had
- 37:13the best freshman year we've ever seen.
- 37:15A quarterback half. Bryce Young was drafted in front
- 37:18of him and I, I. Remember that because Bryce
- 37:20Young, the Carolina Panthers moved up to get him and a lot of
- 37:24people, CJ Stroud was hurt when when when Carolina moved up to
- 37:29get him and didn't draft him and he thought he was going to fall
- 37:31out of the top 10. And what did he wanted to do?
- 37:34What did he do after he got drafted?
- 37:36He was thanking God, he was thanking everybody.
- 37:39He was thanking the organization and the Texans saying that
- 37:42you're not going to regret this. And I don't think the Texans
- 37:44ever regretted drafting CJ Stroud.
- 37:48Because if you look at what CJ Stroud has done as a player
- 37:52since he's come into the league, even if even his ups and downs
- 37:56in his sophomore year, he played great.
- 37:58This year was his third year and he showed you he doesn't have
- 38:03all his ducks in a row. He didn't need that in the first
- 38:06half of the season. His defense was elite.
- 38:09They kept the team afloat. And then as soon as Nico Collins
- 38:13got healthy and his team fairly found somewhat of a running game
- 38:17with marks, they're they're a different offense.
- 38:20And I'm going to tell you this right now, the Texans have the
- 38:24advantage against the Patriots, even though it's in New England.
- 38:28And there's a lot of reasons why.
- 38:30And I'm not saying Drake May isn't special.
- 38:31Drake May is a great player. Drake May has not played against
- 38:36the defense this good all season long.
- 38:38He hasn't. Let's be honest.
- 38:40He's never played a defense this dominant, especially in a
- 38:45secondary. So what are they going to do
- 38:47against Drake May? They're going to pressure him.
- 38:49They're going to make him put the ball in places he is
- 38:53uncomfortable doing as we saw them do it against a veteran
- 38:58superstar quarterback, one of the greatest passing
- 39:01quarterbacks of NFL history in NFL history, and Aaron Rodgers.
- 39:05I don't know if anybody saw what they did to Aaron Rodgers.
- 39:08They made sure that Aaron Rodgers couldn't breathe in the
- 39:11pocket. They made him do things that he
- 39:14was uncomfortable doing, and that's exactly what they're
- 39:17going to do against the Patriots.
- 39:19Young offensive line. This isn't a veteran offensive
- 39:22line. This is a young offensive line
- 39:24that's never been in a position like this before at all.
- 39:28Half of these guys have never even played in a big game like
- 39:31this. So Drake May's never been in a
- 39:34big game like this. So when you think about that and
- 39:37you see you see the position that CJ Stroud's in, CJ Stroud's
- 39:41been in this position before. This guy took his team in his
- 39:44rookie season to the playoffs. This guy has been as good of of
- 39:49of quarter as good of a quarterback in the second-half
- 39:52of the season. And where from any of the young
- 39:54quarterbacks that we have mentioned over the last couple
- 39:56of weeks, he has been sensational now?
- 40:00I do believe the Patriots are going to put a lot of pressure
- 40:02on him bar more is going to stress and put they're going to
- 40:05put pressure on the gaps. They're going to make CJ Strout
- 40:09move outside of the pocket. Where when you see CJ Strout
- 40:13move outside of the pocket, he makes mistakes.
- 40:16He doesn't step into his passes. He backs off on his passes.
- 40:20He he throws on his back foot. When he does that, he doesn't
- 40:23have as as as enough power on his throws and you can see the
- 40:26difference in his game. And I'm going to tell you this.
- 40:30I don't trust the Texans offensive line either.
- 40:33The offensive lines been up and down all season long.
- 40:36It has not been a good offensive line and now it's been probably
- 40:41their problem in the first half. They've got better in the
- 40:44second-half, but how much better?
- 40:46Where are they ranked right now, Speedy?
- 40:4818th. 18th against the defense and my Mike Vrabel, who Mike
- 40:54Vrabel loves to use different blitz packages.
- 40:56He loves to pressure up the seams and up the gaps and makes
- 41:00the young quarterback make mistakes.
- 41:03Bill Belichick was the king of doing that.
- 41:05He finds your weakness and he he would bury your your strength
- 41:09and, and attack your weaknesses. That's what he would do, and
- 41:12that's what Vrabel does as a head coach.
- 41:15So where do you where do you think he attacks the most in
- 41:18this game? The running game because Drake
- 41:22May is not going to have a #1 receiver anywhere close to the
- 41:25cornerback levels that Derek Stingley is.
- 41:28And obviously Kamari, even Kamari Laster on the other side,
- 41:30if he's healthy is a good #2 this year.
- 41:32And Errol talks about all the time.
- 41:33That safety tool with the Texans too is really good.
- 41:36That's going to make it interesting to see how they use
- 41:38the pass catching running back. Same thing I was saying with the
- 41:4049ers. If they can use that to counter
- 41:42the the pass rush because that offensive line edition not being
- 41:45very good. The Patriots is banged up to
- 41:47Garrett Bradbury is not 100% healthy.
- 41:49Will Campbell just came back from IR and we saw Fish in the
- 41:54Giants playoff game against the Vikings when Bradbury was hurt
- 41:57at the end of the year with Minnesota.
- 41:58Leonard Williams was feasting over there, and Houston's got a
- 42:01lot of guys on the interior, too that could do the same kind of
- 42:03thing. So they're going to need a quick
- 42:04passing game for Drake May to make it work, and the running
- 42:07backs and the tight ends are going to be the best way to do
- 42:08that. The key is the run game.
- 42:11You're right, speed. And before I before I start to
- 42:13interrupt just they they fed from Andre Stevenson last week
- 42:17against the Chargers. I don't see that happening this
- 42:20year. This week.
- 42:21This is going to be a Trayvon Henderson game.
- 42:23This is going to be an outside the edge.
- 42:25Try to use speed, try to, you know, do some more sweeps.
- 42:30Try to get outside these guys because you're not running
- 42:32inside on this Texans team with that line, with that offensive
- 42:36line against that defensive line.
- 42:37I don't see it happening in a million years.
- 42:38So you shouldn't give it to the between the tackles guy.
- 42:40You should try to get to the home run guy.
- 42:42Now that's going to put more pressure on Drake May if he
- 42:45can't break one or two. We've seen him break a couple
- 42:48this season already. He's he's that good.
- 42:50It's going to it might be a defensive battle just like last
- 42:53week where it's like 1 big play could determine the game.
- 42:56Yeah, and that's where I think Houston's going to get.
- 42:58Have to get secondary receivers because Christian Gonzalez gets
- 43:01Nico Collins. Will probably cancel out with
- 43:03both being big guys but if they can.
- 43:05Get I don't think Collins is playing speedy.
- 43:07He's has a concussion. They're talking that he's not
- 43:09going to be ready. They're in a lot of trouble.
- 43:11They have Higgins and Noel from Iowa State, and I believe
- 43:14Hutchinson's also from Iowa State 3.
- 43:16Years earlier, yeah. A few years earlier, Higgins
- 43:18looked pretty good. Yeah, but he's the number 2 at
- 43:21best in his rookie season. I don't no one really expects
- 43:24him to be able to do that. And he's going to have one of
- 43:27the best corners in the world on him.
- 43:28Yeah. Schultz will be have to be the
- 43:30guy that steps up for them. Yeah, it's, it's probably going
- 43:32to be a lot of tight ends and a lot of running backs from both
- 43:36teams. Errol, I know, I know.
- 43:38You said you don't want to watch this game.
- 43:39This is going to be boring. No, it is.
- 43:41This one's the ugly game of the week.
- 43:42It's. The Ugly if you like defense,
- 43:45you know, if you think Drake May hasn't been tested, this is the
- 43:48test. Can can he pass this test?
- 43:51Because that defense is real. Will Anderson Junior is real and
- 43:54they got about 8 other real guys on that that start the most
- 43:57interesting game of the week and the weekend is this game, the
- 44:02Rams and the Chicago Bears. And I'll tell you what.
- 44:06Because obviously the coaches and we all know Sean McVay is
- 44:10one of the best offensive minds in the NFL.
- 44:13He likes the yap. He's got one of the worst voices
- 44:16you've ever heard. I can't stand his voice.
- 44:18I can't stand it. And then you have Ben Johnson,
- 44:22who likes to curse. He's that young personality,
- 44:26gets his players amped up in the locker room.
- 44:29I love that about Ben Johnson. We heard him after they knocked
- 44:32off the Packers. We saw what he did with Matt
- 44:35Lafleur and he was trying. When Matt Lafor put his hand out
- 44:38there, he didn't even shake his hand.
- 44:40He smacked his hand. So you can see the personality
- 44:44that Brent Ben Johnson brings to the table.
- 44:46And then you look at the quarterbacks, Matthew Stafford,
- 44:49a Hall of Famer, one of the greatest quarterbacks of this
- 44:51era. And then you have Caleb
- 44:53Williams, one of the most controversial quarterbacks in
- 44:57the NFL, likes to paint his fingernails, likes to speak out
- 45:01to the press in all different ways.
- 45:04You like him, you hate him. He doesn't show up to film
- 45:06there. There are things that Taylor
- 45:08Williams has done this year that has you shaking your head, but
- 45:11his talent, his God-given talent, what we've seen over the
- 45:15last couple weeks, how many guys could do what Caleb Williams
- 45:18could do when he's at the top of his game, he's.
- 45:21Amazing, but that's what we talked about Errol too.
- 45:23You you got to understand Ben Johnson let Caleb be Caleb and
- 45:29we've seen you you said it early in the year you're like you
- 45:32think he's going to be special. Well, then when I think we've
- 45:36talked about coaches in this realm, when you allow somebody
- 45:40to be able to be authentically themselves, and I've said that
- 45:43before, you see special things. And we're like some of those
- 45:48passes that he made, like there's no reason he should have
- 45:51made those passes in that game in those situations.
- 45:54If that was Caleb the year before and Ben Johnson and
- 45:59obviously none of us, we, we don't know him on on an
- 46:03individual basis, but he's like go be you, go be you.
- 46:10And we've seen what happened and it's it.
- 46:13It's going to be David, Goliath. I will.
- 46:15Say this, it's going to be fun to watch.
- 46:16I will say this, the Rams defense has been very good all
- 46:20season long. They're young.
- 46:21The front 7 is as good as any front seven in a league when
- 46:25they get at the quarterback. But there are games they
- 46:27disappear. And we've seen that in the
- 46:29fourth quarter against Seattle a couple of weeks ago, that
- 46:32defense different disappeared. That front 7 disappeared.
- 46:35They have to play all out against this Chicago Bears
- 46:39offensive line who have pro ball players on it.
- 46:42They have good offensive lineman on this offensive line, guys
- 46:48that have won Super Bowls before, guys that have been in
- 46:50these situations before. And again, this is a Rams
- 46:54defense that's very young. A lot of these guys had never
- 46:56been in these situations before. Pukanukua is a superstar player.
- 47:00He is he's he's fantastic to watch.
- 47:03But guess what? Roma Dunes pretty damn good too.
- 47:06So you have two elite wide receivers in this game.
- 47:09We were talking about obviously the Broncos in the and and the
- 47:13Buffalo Bills, how there's really no elite wide receivers.
- 47:16There's a dozen of them in these games.
- 47:18It what what we mentioned with the Seattle game and now the
- 47:22Bears game. This is, to me, as fun of the
- 47:25game to watch than any other games this weekend because, you
- 47:28know, both teams don't like each other.
- 47:30Sean McVeigh is going to be gassing on his sideline.
- 47:33You're going to see Ben Johnson dancing and prancing on the
- 47:37other sidelines. You have two teams that don't
- 47:39like each other. Both offenses and defenses are
- 47:43elite of elite. And, and I'm going to tell you
- 47:45this right now, whoever wins this game can absolutely go to
- 47:49the Super Bowl. As a matter of fact, my
- 47:51prediction is I think that whoever wins this game is going
- 47:56to the Super Bowl. I don't trust Seattle with some
- 47:58of the young players in Sam Donald in an AFC title, an NFC
- 48:02title game, and I know I don't trust the 49ers with some of the
- 48:06injuries they have. I think this these two teams
- 48:09have the best all around talent out of all the teams still in
- 48:13the NFC and Job. I want to go back to what you
- 48:15were saying about the scheduling, because the the
- 48:18Bears and the Rams actually really benefit on they play a
- 48:20longer week while the 49ers and Bills play a shorter week.
- 48:23And I think that's something that could keep these offenses
- 48:25very fresh. Because you talk about chess
- 48:27matches, Ben Johnson and Chris Shula even on the defensive side
- 48:30with the Rams, because Errol, you're talking about like they
- 48:32have a good pass rush with the Rams, but they have a lot of
- 48:35like really chess pieces. Besides that.
- 48:37They have a lot of young corners, a couple they just
- 48:39traded for just sign and safety. Same kind of thing getting him
- 48:42from. Other Could you sell this game
- 48:43speedy? I'm not trying to sell this.
- 48:47I admit it. I'm not a salesman.
- 48:48I'm a game analyst. I'm not.
- 48:51I'll let I'll let somebody else do that.
- 48:53But nevertheless, Ben Johnson coaches fearless and I think
- 48:57that's the big thing you're looking at why they're here at
- 48:58this point as fast as they were this year in a very difficult
- 49:01division or the best division of football.
- 49:03And they have a lot of receivers that are specialists.
- 49:06Roma Dunes is a big body good possession guy still needs to
- 49:08work on his route to DJ Moore is a good quickness guy off the
- 49:10line of scrimmage and burden fishy.
- 49:12We talked about it during the draft.
- 49:13It's kind of a smaller receiver that's fast but not overly
- 49:17quick. So it's somebody is interesting
- 49:19where the Bears have to win though they're going to have to
- 49:21run the ball really well early in the game because the Rams run
- 49:23defense is top five in the football and that interior on
- 49:26that defensive line is very good.
- 49:28I mentioned it. Can they run inside against the
- 49:30the Packers last week and they did.
- 49:32Can they get the call? If they can do that and get out
- 49:34to an early league because the Bears have been a slow starting
- 49:36team, they could definitely win this game.
- 49:38I'm leaning more towards the Rams right now with the
- 49:40experience and talent. But the Bears, I agree with you,
- 49:42Errol. If they win this game, I think
- 49:44they probably go to the Super Bowl.
- 49:45So. Well, and let's let's shout out
- 49:47Sean in in the messages on on YouTube.
- 49:51He's got Bears, Patriots, Super Bowl, that is.
- 49:54Kevin and Kevin also said Bell Seahawks.
- 49:56So I'll. Say that is that is a very
- 49:59possible aspect if if things all come to fruition like we talk
- 50:05about. I had Rams and Bells at the
- 50:06start of the playoffs. Well.
- 50:08It's going to be tough, though, because the Rams are going to
- 50:12have to go against this. I think Caleb Williams is the
- 50:14most talented quarterback in the NFL right now.
- 50:17The throws he made last week were absurd.
- 50:20It was like he was Kobe Bryant doing fadeaways, throwing at 30
- 50:23yards on the dime, layering throws.
- 50:26Roma Dunes got broke his foot or something like 6 weeks ago and
- 50:29he's and he missed five straight games, came back.
- 50:31He isn't the same guy. He caught that long bomb from
- 50:33him on one of those crazy scrambles in the game, but he's
- 50:36not healthy. DJ Moore is a gamer.
- 50:39That dude's going to show up in the playoffs.
- 50:41He had a touchdown last week. He's a tough dude, tough as
- 50:44nails. He's one of my favorite players
- 50:46in the NFL that's really unheralded.
- 50:48I always take him every year in fantasy and he always has a
- 50:50couple of 20 point weeks for you to because he's just that kind
- 50:53of dude. I I really love their offensive
- 50:55line. The Bears went out this
- 50:57offseason when they hired Ben Johnson and stacked that
- 51:00offensive line. You build through the line.
- 51:02Ben Johnson's no fool if you can create confidence from your
- 51:06quarterback, which he did this year, because Caleb did not play
- 51:09with any confidence last year, for good reason with Matt
- 51:13Heberfluss. But I'll tell you, this is one
- 51:16of the most confident guys I've ever seen making throws that
- 51:19nobody should be making. And you can beat great defense
- 51:22and great scheme with superior talent.
- 51:24And Caleb is the guy that I would be most afraid of if I was
- 51:28Sean McVay in this entire playoffs.
- 51:30And I don't know if he's going to be able to stop him,
- 51:32especially if they don't get pressure, because that line's
- 51:35really good. Thank you to all the fans out
- 51:37there, including our handicappers Wes and Reno Johnny
- 51:41for joining us as they always do for Let's Parlay giving us their
- 51:45picks. They were horrible last week.
- 51:47They've actually been horrible. They're actually horrible for
- 51:50the last two weeks. So hopefully this week it's a
- 51:52slam dunk for them and they get back on the winning ways for
- 51:56them because I know, I know Wes will probably jump off a bridge
- 51:59if he doesn't. Want to go undefeated because
- 52:01they're different on the Bills Broncos game.
- 52:03That's true too. Thank you to all the fans on

- 53:30sleeping and enjoying her sleep. So.
- 53:34And I'm waiting for her because she's getting ready.
- 53:36She dude, it took. Her five hours to get her nails
- 53:38done. Five hours today to get her
- 53:41nails done. Stupid.
- 53:42It's stupid, it's absolutely stupid, but whatever we got
