- 1:06Okay, enough of the advertising.
- 1:09Let's get into why you're on this show and why you're listening.
- 1:12Gratefulness is the most important thing that we can think about.
- 1:16You know, what are you grateful in life for? Are you grateful for the fact that
- 1:19when you wake up every single morning, you know that God is with you,
- 1:22that God believes in you, that God trusts you, and that God is never going to leave your side?
- 1:27I can't tell you how often I wake up and say to myself, oh my goodness,
- 1:31I'm exhausted. Well, that's the first thing we think about, right?
- 1:34Or my other favorite is, my gosh, this alarm clock is so annoying. But it wakes me up.
- 1:39And then after about 17 snoozes, because let's be honest, we hit that snooze
- 1:42button a little bit, right?
- 1:43We figure out our day's about to start. And for me, it usually starts either
- 1:50when I'm brushing my teeth or walking Cody is when I'm in tune with our Heavenly Father.
- 1:57And it's not like I just do it to do it. It just happens.
- 2:02I feel like it's almost like when you're driving in your vehicle back in the
- 2:06day and you couldn't get that reception, but then all of a sudden it just tunes
- 2:10in and it's nice and clear.
- 2:12It broadcasts nice and loud and you are ready to go.
- 2:15That is how I feel when I'm tuned in to the Lord. And don't get me wrong,
- 2:20there are days when I don't.
- 2:21There are days when I feel like no matter where I turn, no matter where I go,
- 2:24the reception just is not clear enough.
- 2:27But when I am tuned in at 100%, That's when I make my mark.
- 2:33That's when I really hone in on speaking with God and saying,
- 2:36God, help me. Help me help others.
- 2:40I mean, just yesterday I was on a live and social media and I had people laughing.
- 2:44And I was so grateful that I have this gift to make people laugh.
- 2:48And last night, my wife and I were watching this married couple do pranks on
- 2:52each other. And we just sat there and laughed with one another.
- 2:56And it was a long time since I've laughed that hard.
- 2:59And it's a great feeling. When you can be grateful for having a moment of no
- 3:07worries, of no pain, no suffering, no heartache, no worries about bills.
- 3:14I mean, it always unfortunately renders itself back up.
- 3:17But while you're in that moment of being happy, being grateful,
- 3:23you just enjoy the moment.
- 3:26Now, gratefulness can also be looked at in another way too.
- 3:29I'm grateful for my parents, for what they do, and how they inspire me each and every day.
- 3:35My parents in their 80s, my mom is about to turn 80, and just being in their
- 3:41presence and allowing them the opportunity to be a part of their lives consistently.
- 3:47You know, it's funny. They call me every morning, or I call them,
- 3:50or somehow or another, we get into contacts, and they always need help with,
- 3:54you know, electronical stuff, you know, and they always say they're sorry.
- 3:58And I always tell my mom, you're not bothering me, mom.
- 4:00You're not bothering me because I'm so grateful to have you.
- 4:03I'm grateful because when I needed you most, you were there. So it's my turn.
- 4:08So this morning, I'm asking you to take a step back and think about what makes
- 4:12you grateful and think about who makes you grateful.
- 4:16And if you don't have somebody, I want you to know that we here at Half Eight
- 4:21Let It Begin are grateful for having you be a part of our life.
- 4:24Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for a beautiful morning.
- 4:28Thank you for allowing us to come into your home.
- 4:30Lord, thank you for just allowing us the technology to do what we can to branch out into the world.
- 4:36We pray for all those right now that are in need of prayer, those that are suffering,
- 4:39those that are dealing with heartache, those that are dealing with mental illness, diagnosis.
- 4:45We pray for those that are traveling, and we pray for those that are traveling back home.
- 4:49We ask you to continue to lift up in prayer churches and ministries and doctors
- 4:53and nurses, hospitals, schools, children, military personnel,
- 4:58veterans, first responders, police, fire and rescue, military personnel, foreign and domestic.
- 5:04We lift up our prayer, all those that don't know who you are,
- 5:08but seek you, and those that know who you are, but have fallen off the track and need to come back on.
- 5:14We pray this unto you, as we pray the words that you taught us.
- 5:18Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
- 5:22Thy kingdom come, thy will be done. on earth as it is in heaven.
- 5:26Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our
- 5:31debtors. Lead us not into temptation.
- 5:33Deliver us from evil, for yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
- 5:39May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you, and grant each and every
- 5:42single one of you peace on earth.
- 5:44And never forget, have faith, let it begin.
- 5:51I think I pushed the music up at the wrong time. Let's try that again.
