  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and go through the listener's ears, and be able
• 0:16
  Speaker 1: to reach their hearts and minds, and be able to
• 0:18
  Speaker 1: apply these verses to their lives and the Lord Jesus
• 0:21
  Speaker 1: Christ's name, I pray a men. So we're gonna be

  Speaker 1: a Matthew chapter twenty two tonight, if you would like

  Speaker 1: to grab your bibles or get on your Bible app

  Speaker 1: and read along as you hear along, I highly suggest it.

  Speaker 1: Excuse me, got a little burp there. And it is
• 0:39
  Speaker 1: titled Jesus tells a story about a marriage party. We'll
• 0:46
  Speaker 1: go through about one to three, sometimes one through five
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: verses and then I kind of have a overview. So
• 0:55
  Speaker 1: let's read verse one. Matthew Chapter twenty two states Jesus
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: continued to use story to teach the people. He said,
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: this is what the Kingdom of Heaven is like. A
• 1:05
  Speaker 1: king prepares a special meal for his son's marriage. He
• 1:10
  Speaker 1: asked many people to come when the meal was ready.
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: He sent his servants out to tell those people to come,
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: but they refused to come. This is verse four. So
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: the king then sent out other servants. He said to them,
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: tell this message to all those people that I have
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: asked to come. Tell them that the master says this abbreviated.
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: My servants have prepared the meal. They have killed my
• 1:38
  Speaker 1: large otion oxen and some fat young cows to eat.
• 1:44
  Speaker 1: Everything is ready. Now come to the marriage party verse five.

  Speaker 1: But the people did not think that the king's message
• 1:54
  Speaker 1: was important. They went away to do their own work.
• 1:57
  Speaker 1: One man went to his farm, and an another man
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: went to his businesses. See, this is one thing that
• 2:09
  Speaker 1: I really obtained from these first five versus that no
• 2:13
  Speaker 1: matter where your status is, not everybody is going to
• 2:19
  Speaker 1: want to spend time with you, and not everybody is
• 2:24
  Speaker 1: going to accept your invitation to be with them in
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: a party or in a setting. And as stated, the
• 2:36
  Speaker 1: king wasn't too happy about this. Right and acceptance is
• 2:42
  Speaker 1: what I'm taking from this. Even though it seems important
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: the marriage right from the king's stay to point of view,
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: not everybody was on board to attending Verse six. Other
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: people took hold of the kings pervants. They hurt them
• 3:02
  Speaker 1: and they killed them. The king was very angry. He
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: sent his soldiers to the city where those people lived.
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: They killed the people who had murdered the king's servants.
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: They destroyed their city with fire. See, we take offense
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: and then we retaliate as human beings, especially when you
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: are in power. Nobody likes their pride and ego to
• 3:29
  Speaker 1: be hit. This king obviously has a pride and ego
• 3:33
  Speaker 1: thing and was highly offended that nobody wanted to come
• 3:38
  Speaker 1: to his party. We have to take this into consideration
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: that not everybody is for us, not everybody is against us.
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: And we have to realize that God's going to put
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: the right people in our lives to stay in our
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: lives and to celebrate with us and to mourn with us.
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: To greed, and we have to accept when certain friends
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: and certain situations just don't work out, and especially when
• 4:12
  Speaker 1: there is no good coming out of it right and
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: if you do not have God in the center of
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: your one year relationships, and if two your friendships are
• 4:24
  Speaker 1: not they don't have the same necessarily morals as you
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: or beliefs. It's going to cause friction, and we have
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: to be okay with not being okay with certain people,
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: places and things, and verse eight states then the king
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: said to his other servants, the meal for my son's
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: marriage is ready, but the people that I had asked
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: to come did not deserve to come. See now it's
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: the king saying that they don't deserve to come, because
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: he's offended. Verse nine. So go out now to the
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: town streets where people to where people meet together. Ask
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: all the people that you find there to come to
• 5:06
  Speaker 1: the marriage party. So now the king's desperate, going to
• 5:10
  Speaker 1: places in streets trying to get anybody to come to
• 5:13
  Speaker 1: this party. Then those servants went out into the streets,
• 5:16
  Speaker 1: they brought to the king's house all the people that
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: they met. Some were good people and some were bad people.
• 5:26
  Speaker 1: Very many people came to the room for the marriage
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: party was full, but they were forced. And that's closing
• 5:34
  Speaker 1: out verse ten. You know, it's almost like misery loves company,
• 5:40
  Speaker 1: and if that misery doesn't get company, it's gonna go
• 5:43
  Speaker 1: find it. Right. Just spirits going crazy tonight in this sense,
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: and I feel it. So just forgive me, because I'm
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: over here smiling because I get it, you know, and
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: verse eleven. Then the king came into the room to
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: see all the people. He saw one man who was
• 5:59
  Speaker 1: not wearing the right clothes for a marriage. See now
• 6:02
  Speaker 1: he's getting just you know, judgmental. Verse twelve. The king
• 6:07
  Speaker 1: said to the man, how did you come in here?
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: My friend? You are not wearing the right clothes for
• 6:12
  Speaker 1: the marriage. The man could not answer the king. So
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: it's like, you invite anybody and everybody doesn't mean that
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: you're gonna get the type of people that you really
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: want if you just allow anybody to be in your
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: life and in your faith journey. So verse thirteen, the
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: king said to his servants, tie his hands and his feet,
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: take him and throw him into the dark place outside.
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: Their people will cry and they will bite their teeth together.
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: Sounds like hell? What is going on here? Let's continue
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: to read. God asked many people to come to him,
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: but he only chooses a few people to be there
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: with him verse fifteen. And we're getting close to close
• 7:03
  Speaker 1: and out we might be able to get to seventeen
• 7:05
  Speaker 1: or eighteen. The pharisees asked Jesus about taxes verse fifteen.
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: After the Pharisees heard this, they met together. They decided
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: what they should do to make Jesus say something wrong,
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: then they would have a reason to take hold of him. Matthew,
• 7:26
  Speaker 1: Chapter twenty two, verse fifteen. No matter how many miracles
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: Jesus did, no matter how purposefully he was living for God,
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: doesn't mean that everybody was on board, especially the Pharisees,
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: the ones that killed him, the Romans. I could get
• 7:48
  Speaker 1: deeper into this because, you know, watching the Passion of
• 7:51
  Speaker 1: the Christ in the form that I did in the
• 7:54
  Speaker 1: movie theater, it was very eye opening, and it was
• 8:00
  Speaker 1: just gave me a more feel for the character of
• 8:03
  Speaker 1: Jesus being so selfless but finding that balance as well,
• 8:10
  Speaker 1: because Jesus also didn't let people walk all over him
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: as well, but he put others above himself. And that's
• 8:22
  Speaker 1: what we must do, even though it can be hard,
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: because we have to get ours right. Ooh, let's go,
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: let's go, let's go, let's go. We're getting deep now.

  Speaker 1: How are we doing on time? Good? About nine minutes?

  Speaker 1: That is good. That is good. So they and I
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: had to just look on my phone. I'm recording on
• 8:43
  Speaker 1: my phone. So and this has been a lovely chapter,
• 8:48
  Speaker 1: as they all are in the Gospel of Matthew verse sixteen.

  Speaker 1: So they sent their own disciples to Jesus. They also
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: sent people who were friends of King Herod. They said
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: to Jesus, teacher, we know that you only say true things.
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: You teach us what God wants us to do. It
• 9:08
  Speaker 1: does not matter to you what other people think. And
• 9:11
  Speaker 1: that's how we got to live our lives, because that's
• 9:13
  Speaker 1: how Jesus was. If someone is important, you do not
• 9:17
  Speaker 1: change your answers to make them happy verse seventeen. So
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: tell us your answer to this question. Should we pay
• 9:24
  Speaker 1: our taxes to the Roman ruler Caesar? Is it right
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: to give that money to him or not? This is
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: how we'll close out it. Probably get to nineteen. Jesus
• 9:37
  Speaker 1: knew that these we might get to twenty. Actually, Jesus
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: knew that these men wanted to do a wicked thing.
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: They were trying to find something on him. Let's keep reading.
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: So he said to them, you are asking that question
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: to cause trouble for me. You are not being honest.
• 9:55
  Speaker 1: Now show me the coin that you use for the tax.
• 9:59
  Speaker 1: So they brought a coin to him. Then Jesus asked them,
• 10:02
  Speaker 1: whose picture is on this coin? Whose name is on it?
• 10:07
  Speaker 1: They replied, it is Caesar's picture in Caesar's name. Jesus
• 10:13
  Speaker 1: said to them, so you should give to Caesar the
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: things that belong to Caesar, and give to God the
• 10:21
  Speaker 1: things that belonged to God. When they heard Jesus answer,
• 10:26
  Speaker 1: they were very surprised. So they left him and they
• 10:29
  Speaker 1: went away. See, the truth of the matter is what
• 10:35
  Speaker 1: belongs to God belongs to God. And I've stated this
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: numerous time. What God has for you, God has for you.
• 10:41
  Speaker 1: He's going to get you there one way or another.
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: You belong to God. I also do believe that there
• 10:47
  Speaker 1: are children of Satan as well, and that's what the
• 10:53
  Speaker 1: spiritual warfare is among us here on earth. It is
• 11:01
  Speaker 1: a fight against good and bad, and Jesus, being who
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: he is, is the invitation for even those that are
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: bad to do good. There was a lot of Roman Catholics,
• 11:19
  Speaker 1: and well the Roman Catholics, there were a lot that
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: converted into following Jesus. I can't say there was a masses.
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: I don't know the exact number off the top of
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: my head right now, but I am also going off
• 11:36
  Speaker 1: of what I've been able to obtain over the twenty
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: something years. I've been a believer and a follower of
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: Christ the last six months, and it has been such
• 11:54
  Speaker 1: a difference between just believing. And even though sorrow comes,
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: confusion comes, fear comes, it's not like just because I
• 12:08
  Speaker 1: followed Christ, all this just disappears. Those things that are
• 12:13
  Speaker 1: not from God just don't stay. They come and the
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit washes them away. Praise God, Praise Jesus, Praise
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. I got about two minutes and thirty seconds.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: I want to go ahead and take this time to
• 12:33
  Speaker 1: leave a little message for the love of my life.
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: And even though we have had some ups and some downs,
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: I do not hold an account for how many ups
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: how many downs. No matter what we have gone through,
• 12:57
  Speaker 1: we have always come back together. And the reason for
• 13:00
  Speaker 1: where that is is because God is in the center
• 13:03
  Speaker 1: of our relationship. I don't want you to ever forget that,
• 13:07
  Speaker 1: because a couple that prays together stays together. But there
• 13:12
  Speaker 1: has to be consistency, and that's what we have had.
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: Whether it might have been a night or two that
• 13:18
  Speaker 1: we didn't, there's been a lot more nights that we
• 13:21
  Speaker 1: have prayed together, and those prayers are heard from heaven.
• 13:25
  Speaker 1: Those prayers are heard from the Holy Spirit and Divine intervention,
• 13:32
  Speaker 1: divine protection. No matter the confusion, no matter the doubt,
• 13:35
  Speaker 1: it cannot stay. And it doesn't matter. This isn't a
• 13:40
  Speaker 1: competition who has more clarity of their relationship. We are
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: at war because we come together, and all hell is
• 13:55
  Speaker 1: afraid and all Heaven is behind us, backing us up.
• 14:01
  Speaker 1: And I just love you so much, and no matter
• 14:06
  Speaker 1: the highs, no matter the lows, I choose you. And
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: these are a lot of things that I've already told you.
• 14:14
  Speaker 1: There's nothing that I can say, but there's a whole
• 14:18
  Speaker 1: lot that I can do. And in my actions on
• 14:22
  Speaker 1: a daily it's not only just working for God's will,
• 14:25
  Speaker 1: but it is working for you, It is working for
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: me and the holiness that is in the center of
• 14:37
  Speaker 1: this relationship we must cling to as we do. And
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: I love that we go to church together. Even though
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: you're online, you're this is a long distance relationship, but
• 14:47
  Speaker 1: it feels like we're so close to each other. I'm
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: so thankful to have you a part of my life
• 14:52
