- 0:00Speaker 1: Us The Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My
- 0:12Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett. On this Monday. Good Lord June. First,
- 0:17Speaker 2: I hope everybody's doing well out there. I had a
- 0:19Speaker 2: great weekend. Justin, Oh my goodness, did I just have
- 0:22Speaker 2: a slip right there? Justin? Calen is not with me today,
- 0:25Speaker 2: but Matthew is, which I'm very excited about. Matthew Childers,
- 0:29Speaker 2: how are you doing this morning?
- 0:30Speaker 3: You don't have to lie on, Michael. You can say
- 0:31Speaker 3: that you're not was excited, that is you would be Just.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Wait a minute now, No, no, okay, don't don't you ever, Matthew.
- 0:39Speaker 2: It's gonna take a little adjustment because I've you know,
- 0:41Speaker 2: I've said justin for the last two years, and now
- 0:45Speaker 2: we're we're to you. Don't ever say I'm not excited.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I when you were on this show on a daily
- 0:52Speaker 2: basis and having the two of y'all on here was
- 0:56Speaker 2: some of the funnest times ever ahead on radio. So
- 0:58Speaker 2: don't ever say something like that. Now, come on, now,
- 1:02Speaker 2: I'm very excited you're here. I but I think it
- 1:06Speaker 2: is safe to say I'm very disappointed that one person
- 1:10Speaker 2: is not with us, and uh but if you want
- 1:13Speaker 2: to give us call, we'll talk about that five O
- 1:15Speaker 2: two three four fourteen fifty. You want to Texas on
- 1:17Speaker 2: the Whiskey Thief text line, you can do that five
- 1:19Speaker 2: O two four to one four fourteen fifty. Or you
- 1:21Speaker 2: can tweet me at just the Cat Radio. Yeah, it's
- 1:27Speaker 2: unusual times here at the radio station, just to say
- 1:29Speaker 2: the least. So I'm sure everybody knows now that, uh,
- 1:33Speaker 2: Justin Kaylin is no longer with the radio station and
- 1:37Speaker 2: he made a decision to U not do with the
- 1:41Speaker 2: station proposed and uh so he went a different direction,
- 1:45Speaker 2: and I very much respect that. Now. Am I disappointed,
- 1:49Speaker 2: Matthew one thousand percent probably two thousand percent of I
- 1:55Speaker 2: disappointed because I've worked with two producers for a long time.
- 2:01Speaker 2: You know you're the third one, of course, but uh
- 2:03Speaker 2: uh two you know two that I very much. One
- 2:07Speaker 2: I considered definitely a brother. He's my little brother, and
- 2:10Speaker 2: a lot of y'all know who that is, Shannon, and
- 2:12Speaker 2: the other one is Justin Kalin And uh and when
- 2:16Speaker 2: I heard the news from somebody else house out of
- 2:19Speaker 2: the radio stays, it's like what's going on here? And
- 2:23Speaker 2: so I immediately because we all knew if you listened
- 2:26Speaker 2: to the show. On Friday, Justin was headed up to
- 2:28Speaker 2: Cincinnati for celebration of one of his cousin's graduation, and
- 2:35Speaker 2: so he was going to go see the Reds playing here.
- 2:36Speaker 2: I am texting him at the Reds game and he yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 2: it's true. So anyway, I I'm very disappointed about that
- 2:45Speaker 2: because of the fact that his show was growing, Matthew,
- 2:49Speaker 2: as you know, his show was doing really well. He had,
- 2:52Speaker 2: I mean, getting more and more texts on a daily basis,
- 2:55Speaker 2: and uh, I just just disappointing. So I don't know
- 3:00Speaker 2: what else to say. You want to say anything about.
- 3:02Speaker 3: It, I mean, I don't know what to say. I
- 3:08Speaker 3: feel honestly really awkward in this situation.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You shouldn't feel awkward.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Why is that just because I'm the youngest person here, Like,
- 3:15Speaker 3: I'm like they, you know, he and Roman to be
- 3:17Speaker 3: here a lot longer than I have, So, I mean,
- 3:23Speaker 3: Justin and Roman taught me everything I know and be
- 3:24Speaker 3: able to do this without them. Yeah, So I appreciative
- 3:27Speaker 3: of that, But it does feel a little weird walking
- 3:30Speaker 3: in here.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yeah, oh absolutely it. It did not hit me until
- 3:35Speaker 2: I pulled into the parking lot and I didn't see
- 3:37Speaker 2: Justin's car, and then I get into the studios, like, Okay,
- 3:39Speaker 2: it really hit me now that he's not here and
- 3:43Speaker 2: he's alive. I mean, that's the that's the best part
- 3:47Speaker 2: is that he's not dead. But he's got in the
- 3:50Speaker 2: studio with here, right, He's not dead, he's well, no, exactly,
- 3:55Speaker 2: he's doing very well. And I'm just, uh, I'm bummed
- 3:58Speaker 2: about it. And I'm sure we'll move on. But I
- 4:02Speaker 2: but if anybody else is gonna be here, I'm glad
- 4:04Speaker 2: you're here. I don't want some random guy here that
- 4:06Speaker 2: I don't know. And now I got to sit here
- 4:08Speaker 2: for two hours and talk about Mom Chilovic not making
- 4:11Speaker 2: a decision over the weekend, which we're going to talk
- 4:13Speaker 2: about a little bit later. But I just I thought,
- 4:16Speaker 2: you know, I'm glad that you Matthew, because you put
- 4:19Speaker 2: a smile on my face.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well, I'm always glad to be back on your show,
- 4:22Speaker 3: Michael was. You know, it's always super fun to be
- 4:24Speaker 3: on your show. I wish, like when I walked in,
- 4:26Speaker 3: I wish it was on better circumstances.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Exactly, we all do.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I'm never gonna complain again to talk about you know, Manchilovitch,
- 4:32Speaker 3: probably going to a little cargo.
- 4:38Speaker 2: And see just like that, you're gonna take You're gonna
- 4:41Speaker 2: give me a hard way to go today. And I
- 4:43Speaker 2: don't I don't blame you because well, let's not talk
- 4:46Speaker 2: about it yet. But uh, I did want to talk
- 4:48Speaker 2: about Justin for a few minutes and and celebrate. I
- 4:52Speaker 2: would love to have a uh uh a segment where
- 4:56Speaker 2: we just played nothing but ridiculous things that Justin would
- 4:59Speaker 2: say over his time here at the station, but we
- 5:01Speaker 2: don't have anything like that prepared. But you know, he's
- 5:04Speaker 2: been what seven years, eight years here? I don't know
- 5:07Speaker 2: was that long? I think so I've never directly asked him,
- 5:10Speaker 2: but that's kind of crazy. I think it was eight years,
- 5:13Speaker 2: is what he told me on the phone the other day.
- 5:16Speaker 2: And he's like, you know, it's just whatever it is.
- 5:18Speaker 2: So he's got his other gig at the other radio
- 5:21Speaker 2: station in Gordon and he'll continue to do that if
- 5:24Speaker 2: you want to listen to him over there, but I
- 5:25Speaker 2: suggest you do that. But if you don't reach out
- 5:28Speaker 2: to him, do that because tell him how much you
- 5:31Speaker 2: miss him and how much you wish him the best
- 5:33Speaker 2: of luck and you know, I tried to change his
- 5:35Speaker 2: mind and it just didn't work out that way, so
- 5:38Speaker 2: unfortunately for all of us. But anyway, I am glad.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I will say it again, Matthew. I am glad you
- 5:46Speaker 2: are here because that makes me feel a little bit better.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I'm glad to be here. I'm excited to get into it,
- 5:53Speaker 3: are you. I'm half asleep right now, so probably here
- 5:56Speaker 3: we go, not till nine o'clock. Matthew will wake up
- 5:58Speaker 3: and we'll have a good shownine o'clock. It's dark in here.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Haven't turned the lights on yet, so why didn't.
- 6:03Speaker 2: You turn the lights on? I mean, all I see
- 6:04Speaker 2: is this bright light over there to the uh you're
- 6:08Speaker 2: left my right, and it's like the window is just
- 6:11Speaker 2: as bright as it can be. We're not doing YouTube
- 6:13Speaker 2: right now, are we? Do you guys do that now? Oh? Yeah, yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 2: when I'm in studio, we're doing YouTube.
- 6:18Speaker 4: Oh I don't know that. I'll set it up right now.
- 6:19Speaker 3: I don't know that that's okay, But no, I just
- 6:22Speaker 3: walked in and because there was the computer issue, as
- 6:24Speaker 3: soon as I got in here, I forgot to turn
- 6:26Speaker 3: the lights on, and now they're off and I'm used
- 6:28Speaker 3: to it.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I can't turn them on now.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Oh sure, you can't say if you lay in the
- 6:31Speaker 3: dark for tendis No, I can't turn the lights on
- 6:33Speaker 3: after that.
- 6:34Speaker 2: You know what you keep talking. I'm coming over there
- 6:36Speaker 2: and turn the lights on for it, because if turn
- 6:37Speaker 2: the lights on, you'll wake.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Up if if you get up out of your scene,
- 6:41Speaker 4: come over here. I'm turning your mic off.
- 6:42Speaker 2: We're going right. No, I don't go to break right now.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Come on, it's way too early to do a break
- 6:47Speaker 2: right now. But anyway, but uh, but I'm gonna miss
- 6:51Speaker 2: his show because that, you know, I would tune in
- 6:53Speaker 2: on the drive in to the studio, or if I
- 6:55Speaker 2: was out of town, I would turn it on my
- 6:57Speaker 2: phone just listen to what he's what ridiculous topics talking about?
- 7:00Speaker 2: And uh and so I don't get to do that.
- 7:02Speaker 2: I don't know who those people were on before. Did
- 7:05Speaker 2: you turn it on? Uh no, that took us for you.
- 7:10Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 7:10Speaker 4: I wasn't listening on the way, Yeah.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Neither was I. So I was listening to other things
- 7:16Speaker 2: on the radio. Oh well music mostly, but uh yeah,
- 7:19Speaker 2: all right, we're uh let's talk about this. Uh so
- 7:22Speaker 2: the official and I feel like we should do two
- 7:26Speaker 2: hours of traffic reports.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Now we can do that because of today. Is that
- 7:30Speaker 3: all that happens?
- 7:31Speaker 5: Right?
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yeah? It is. Oh did you not get the alert
- 7:34Speaker 2: on your phone? No? I did not. Oh. Yes, I'm
- 7:38Speaker 2: surprised because I did. And I'm trying to figure out
- 7:40Speaker 2: why you wouldn't of all people, Uh, the public safety
- 7:44Speaker 2: alert LMG. I don't know what LMG stands for, do you,
- 7:49Speaker 2: Louisville Metro. You're barking the wrong. Yeah, no, I don't
- 7:54Speaker 2: have no idea traffic alert for Louisville. I sixty five
- 7:57Speaker 2: northbound south we closed June first through June first? All right?
- 8:01Speaker 2: How much do we want to wager that it will
- 8:05Speaker 2: be done early on time or late? Do you think
- 8:09Speaker 2: there's any way it's done? It's completed early? There I
- 8:12Speaker 2: sixty five going downtown from the Watson all the way
- 8:15Speaker 2: almost to the bridge.
- 8:18Speaker 4: There's not a chance in this lifetime that it'll be
- 8:22Speaker 4: done early.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Is there a chance it is done?
- 8:24Speaker 3: What?
- 8:25Speaker 2: Okay, So let's put it down in percentages. What percentage
- 8:29Speaker 2: do you give it it'll be done early? Zero? All right?
- 8:33Speaker 2: What percentage do you think it'll be done and the
- 8:35Speaker 2: road will be open August first? As projected zero.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Wow, really there's a chance that that road might not
- 8:43Speaker 3: be open till like September, I.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Know, another month.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I know how road working, how road construction goes in
- 8:50Speaker 3: this city. Yes, it seems like they decide to shut
- 8:52Speaker 3: down every single street, every single road, every single highway
- 8:55Speaker 3: at one time at the same time in the summer.
- 8:58Speaker 3: And they don't wonder like, oh, maybe this slows us
- 9:00Speaker 3: down a bit, maybe just backs everybody up.
- 9:03Speaker 4: It's gonna go as long as they want it to go.
- 9:05Speaker 4: And I'm not. I'm not. I'm glad that I don't
- 9:08Speaker 4: have to take us as if I've had a regular anymore.
- 9:10Speaker 2: So, yeah, you and me both. So you think one
- 9:13Speaker 2: it's gonna be late in your your guess is going
- 9:16Speaker 2: to be your prediction. It's gonna be it's not gonna
- 9:19Speaker 2: be complete until Sebruary. Sebruary. How do you like that? Sebruary. Yes,
- 9:24Speaker 2: that's a new month. I just came up with. It's
- 9:26Speaker 2: a thirteenth month. Uh, September first.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Yes, that's my guess, really, and that's be being hopeful.
- 9:33Speaker 2: See, the only thing they're not adding lanes either, are
- 9:36Speaker 2: they I don't even know what they're doing. I like
- 9:38Speaker 2: I don't. Well, evidently the bridges that you know, it's
- 9:42Speaker 2: all above ground, so they're all bridges and they're in
- 9:46Speaker 2: poor condition, so they have to replace them. It would
- 9:49Speaker 2: be nice if they just said, screw it, let's just
- 9:51Speaker 2: we're gonna keep it closed this long. Let's add one
- 9:54Speaker 2: or two more lanes. That's what they should do, because
- 9:57Speaker 2: it's so it's not enough lanes to dry through as
- 10:00Speaker 2: busy as I sixty five is.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I agree.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I think that we're getting to the point where it
- 10:09Speaker 3: seems like I think the issue with with Louisville and
- 10:12Speaker 3: whether you're the metropolitan area or downtown, is that everybody
- 10:14Speaker 3: just takes the two Saint the same two roads all together.
- 10:18Speaker 3: So it's not like the traffic can be dispersed anywhere.
- 10:20Speaker 3: You just have to constantly add more lanes as people
- 10:22Speaker 3: get more cars, and we just don't do that.
- 10:24Speaker 2: No, we don't, and it's it's it's I'm still frustrating.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I think they're expanding it, but I seventy one that
- 10:31Speaker 2: takes you into downtown Louisville has always been just two lanes,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and yet it's backed up, backed up. People drive River
- 10:37Speaker 2: Road that backs that up. It's like, what the heck, man,
- 10:39Speaker 2: are we going to grow this city? We're just going
- 10:41Speaker 2: to sit here stagnant? Is that what we're looking for?
- 10:46Speaker 3: I I honestly don't have a lot to say on
- 10:50Speaker 3: this because it's just going to be a hassle for
- 10:53Speaker 3: the entire time this is going on.
- 10:55Speaker 4: I'm hoping that we get some positivity out of it.
- 10:58Speaker 3: The thing that worries me is how bad is it had
- 11:00Speaker 3: gotten to the point where like we literally have to
- 11:02Speaker 3: shut it down a whole month, to where it's almost
- 11:04Speaker 3: forced upon us.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Like like what are we talking like?
- 11:06Speaker 3: This is like what was what was the old San
- 11:09Speaker 3: Francisco Giants Stadium that had to get shut down? And
- 11:12Speaker 3: the Handlestick Candlestick Is this like is this Candlestick Park
- 11:15Speaker 3: levels look bad? Or like the government's gonna have to
- 11:17Speaker 3: step in and be like this thing could collapse at any moment,
- 11:20Speaker 3: or is this something we've just been putting off for
- 11:22Speaker 3: a couple of years.
- 11:22Speaker 4: We're like, all right, I guess we'll do it.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I don't know, but I'm I don't know. Would you
- 11:28Speaker 2: have rather have had it? Well? I don't think they
- 11:32Speaker 2: could do it though, where they could have it to
- 11:34Speaker 2: where you got a couple of lanes. I mean, how
- 11:37Speaker 2: do you replace all these bridges Again, it's not like
- 11:40Speaker 2: it's on the ground, so you can't expand and and
- 11:44Speaker 2: make other lanes in the emergency lane or anything like that.
- 11:46Speaker 2: You got to take down the all the entire bridge
- 11:50Speaker 2: which goes from where does it start being elevated? Uh?
- 11:54Speaker 2: I guess it does start being elevated right there at
- 11:58Speaker 2: the Waterston Expressway, all the way downtown. You know, it's
- 12:01Speaker 2: not like it's the Watersin where it's on the ground.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It's an elevated road. And I'm led to believe this
- 12:07Speaker 2: is gonna take two months. Yeah, I just I don't
- 12:10Speaker 2: see it.
- 12:10Speaker 3: We're fixing potholes in thirty days, Okay, Like, I don't
- 12:14Speaker 3: know how we're gonna fix it in time.
- 12:15Speaker 2: We're not. Well, wait, we're not fixing potholes, we're just
- 12:19Speaker 2: patching them. Okay, that's not resolving the problem with potholes.
- 12:23Speaker 2: I don't get me started on that kind of crap,
- 12:26Speaker 2: because you know, first of all, where I live, we
- 12:28Speaker 2: had the whole tunnel, which was a total ridiculous situation
- 12:32Speaker 2: they had, you had all the blasting out there, and
- 12:35Speaker 2: then now you got the VA Hospital, which should have
- 12:38Speaker 2: never been built where it's being built, and you got
- 12:41Speaker 2: all the watersin and seventy one construction going on there.
- 12:44Speaker 2: I can't get away from construction. I'm to a point
- 12:47Speaker 2: now it's like, Okay, I'll come back to Louisville when
- 12:50Speaker 2: construction is over. Just tell me when it'll It might
- 12:53Speaker 2: be ten years. So you're just going to do the
- 12:55Speaker 2: show from Florida. I'll just go somewhere else. Yeah, okay exactly,
- 12:59Speaker 2: And that way you join me. I can do that, yeah,
- 13:02Speaker 2: because you know you're off to Florida. Who knows when.
- 13:05Speaker 3: I still don't have a date for that yet. Paulina
- 13:09Speaker 3: moves late July.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Can we get her a job now in Louisville so
- 13:15Speaker 2: you can just stay here permanently? Well, she's any chance
- 13:18Speaker 2: we can find her a job in Louisville. She's already
- 13:20Speaker 2: accepted her. She can still cancel it. I mean, isn't
- 13:23Speaker 2: there anybody in Louisville. Can we start advertising for Paulina
- 13:27Speaker 2: right now to stay in louisll Let's find her a
- 13:29Speaker 2: job here.
- 13:30Speaker 3: So she actually did get offered a job in Louisville.
- 13:33Speaker 3: She turned it down because she'd already accepted her other one.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Oh, who cares? Who cares about Florida. Let's just go
- 13:39Speaker 2: ahead and cancel that and take the job here. Come on, Paulina, please.
- 13:43Speaker 4: This is something that her and I have wanted to
- 13:45Speaker 4: do for a long time.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Now. Oh yeah, come on, how long have y'all been dating?
- 13:49Speaker 2: Six months?
- 13:50Speaker 4: No, about almost over a year and a half.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Okay, that's not a long time.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Still, yeah, I mean it took you like nine years
- 13:57Speaker 3: to ask your Oh yes, that's not.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Start that again. Okay, No, we don't need to be
- 14:03Speaker 2: doing that kind of stuff. So, uh but uh, anyway,
- 14:06Speaker 2: I'm getting all kinds of messages here about justin so
- 14:09Speaker 2: we're gonna get to those in just a couple of minutes.
- 14:12Speaker 2: But all right, Uh, it's day It feels like day
- 14:16Speaker 2: one thousand Milan Mom Chilovich not deciding what he's gonna
- 14:21Speaker 2: be doing, even though it's been what four days? When
- 14:24Speaker 2: did I know it closed down? The twenty seven? Was
- 14:26Speaker 2: that last Thursday? Yes? Okay, so it's been Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
- 14:32Speaker 2: so four day four of Mom Chilovich. I agree with
- 14:37Speaker 2: you because I know what you're thinking, because you kind
- 14:40Speaker 2: of give me indications already about Melan Mom Chilovic. The
- 14:44Speaker 2: longer this goes on, the worse it is for Mark
- 14:48Speaker 2: Pope and Kentucky. The longer that this decision is prolonged
- 14:57Speaker 2: is a bit of a problem for Kentucky, isn't it.
- 14:59Speaker 2: I think so. I think this is more about can
- 15:03Speaker 2: U of L get close or match what UK is offering.
- 15:10Speaker 2: What do you think? What do you think the hold
- 15:13Speaker 2: up is? Because you know, Mom Chilovich has said several
- 15:16Speaker 2: times if he comes back to college basketball, he wants
- 15:20Speaker 2: to go to a team where he potentially has the
- 15:23Speaker 2: best chance to win a national championship. The way the
- 15:27Speaker 2: roster has gone with Kentucky, it's a pretty good team,
- 15:33Speaker 2: it is. Is it a championship caliber team? I have
- 15:36Speaker 2: to be honest and say I don't think so, And
- 15:40Speaker 2: especially without Mom Chilovich, it's not so. If Mom Chilovich
- 15:44Speaker 2: is added to it. Now, UK's offering the most money.
- 15:48Speaker 2: That's good, and he's going to get probably the most
- 15:51Speaker 2: playtime than any other team that is considering him right now.
- 15:57Speaker 2: If he goes to U of L, I doubt he
- 16:00Speaker 2: gets the same amount of money. Now, supposedly U of
- 16:03Speaker 2: L has ant up the ante as far as what
- 16:07Speaker 2: they're offering him to come to be a cardinal. But
- 16:11Speaker 2: the problem is how much time is he gonna get there?
- 16:13Speaker 2: I think he starts. But put your Pat Kelsey uh
- 16:18Speaker 2: glasses on and look ridiculous, uh and tell me what
- 16:25Speaker 2: would mam Chilovich mean to U of L besides take
- 16:29Speaker 2: take away that this would be fun to get back
- 16:32Speaker 2: at Kentucky and Mark Pope. I know that's well, a
- 16:34Speaker 2: lot of fans are this would be fantastic, But is
- 16:38Speaker 2: he going to be that big of an addition to
- 16:41Speaker 2: U of L basketball with their current roster as we
- 16:44Speaker 2: see it?
- 16:45Speaker 3: So I think Mam Chilovitch would be like a huge
- 16:47Speaker 3: deal for any team to gain. I mean, he's probably,
- 16:50Speaker 3: in my opinion, the best role player in the country.
- 16:52Speaker 3: He's the best shooter in the country by far, if
- 16:55Speaker 3: it were if for a wait.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Let's define that best shoot in the country that's available
- 16:59Speaker 2: right now or best shooter in the.
- 17:01Speaker 3: Country in the country, Okay, I don't even think it's arguable.
- 17:04Speaker 3: I mean, the dude shoots forty eight percent from behind
- 17:06Speaker 3: three point line, yes, in a high volume. So I'm
- 17:09Speaker 3: looking at is I am personally satisfied with Louisvell's roster
- 17:15Speaker 3: at this point, like, yes, would grabbing mom Chilovich make
- 17:18Speaker 3: it even better? Yes, I'd be excited for it. I'm
- 17:21Speaker 3: not too worried if they don't get him. But at
- 17:23Speaker 3: the same time, if you grab him, if for some
- 17:26Speaker 3: reason louisll is able to come in up the end,
- 17:28Speaker 3: like you said, sweep in and grab him underneath Arizona,
- 17:31Speaker 3: underneath Kentucky's feet, I think it would bring Louill from
- 17:36Speaker 3: a top fifteen roster to like a top seven in
- 17:39Speaker 3: the country. You finally get a shooter, you finally get
- 17:42Speaker 3: a pretty good score that pack Kelsea doesn't have for
- 17:44Speaker 3: this team, So that that's where I'm looking at it.
- 17:46Speaker 3: But at the same time, like I said, I'm also
- 17:48Speaker 3: satisfied with what we have, So I'm not like losing
- 17:51Speaker 3: sleep at night, you know, getting stressed out about where
- 17:53Speaker 3: this recruitment is going at the moment.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah. See, I wouldn't be stressed out about it either
- 17:57Speaker 2: other than hey, it's a nice get. This is a
- 17:59Speaker 2: great to get back at h to get at Kentucky
- 18:03Speaker 2: and get under their skin. Listen, I think this is
- 18:06Speaker 2: There's been a number of people out there that have
- 18:08Speaker 2: said this is a defining moment for Mark Pope. If
- 18:11Speaker 2: mom Chilovich doesn't come, days are counting. That's what I predict.
- 18:16Speaker 2: And that's that's not me, Michael Bennett picking on Mark Pope.
- 18:20Speaker 2: That's not at all You've heard me say. I want
- 18:24Speaker 2: Mark Pope to be at Kentucky for a long time
- 18:26Speaker 2: because I want him to succeed. I do. I like
- 18:28Speaker 2: Mark Pope, but if he doesn't get this recruit, days
- 18:32Speaker 2: are starting to get a number down. That seating is
- 18:34Speaker 2: getting not warmer, it's getting hot.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Do you think that getting mom Chilovich eases the fan
- 18:42Speaker 3: base a little bit, even even with how bad this
- 18:44Speaker 3: transfer portal has gone temporarily? I mean, I think like
- 18:49Speaker 3: enough that you're like, you feel like enough to say
- 18:52Speaker 3: it's significant.
- 18:53Speaker 2: I guess no, I'm not there. It's gonna be significant
- 19:00Speaker 2: according to how the season goes. So I'll feel a
- 19:04Speaker 2: little bit of relief. But I'm not really relieved. I know. Sorry, John,
- 19:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna pick on you for a minute. I'm not
- 19:11Speaker 2: I'm not the most optimistic guy about this team right now.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I have to see the proof on the floor. That's
- 19:17Speaker 2: what I need to see, and then I'll feel better.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Then I'll feel optimistic about it. Yeah, I mean that's understandable.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I think that it's a really tough position for Kentucky
- 19:29Speaker 2: fans and Mark Pope right now, where you almost I
- 19:34Speaker 2: mean you just you go out there and win, right,
- 19:36Speaker 2: You have to win no matter what. Right.
- 19:38Speaker 3: But the same time, at Kentucky winning just isn't enough.
- 19:41Speaker 3: You have to win at a certain level. And Mark
- 19:43Speaker 3: Pope just has shown that, like, yeah, he can beat
- 19:45Speaker 3: some of the better teams in college basketball very much,
- 19:47Speaker 3: but he can't beat some of the worst teams in
- 19:49Speaker 3: college basketball. For some reason, it seems like he's all
- 19:52Speaker 3: over the place. There's not enough consistency to sit here
- 19:55Speaker 3: and say that exactly. It's not like it'd be different
- 19:58Speaker 3: if he was not want to get a very high rate,
- 20:01Speaker 3: but he was getting it done in the recruiting process
- 20:03Speaker 3: and the transfer portal. So like that, like the Calf problem,
- 20:05Speaker 3: where like yeah, cal was losing these games, but he
- 20:07Speaker 3: was always still he was reloading. He's kind of not
- 20:10Speaker 3: doing either at an exceptional level. He's it's just a
- 20:12Speaker 3: very average situation right now Kentucky. I think that's where
- 20:14Speaker 3: it's not except.
- 20:15Speaker 2: And I think that's where it's at best. It's at
- 20:17Speaker 2: best average. Uh, first year was a lot of fun.
- 20:21Speaker 2: I mean, we didn't expect much that first year because
- 20:23Speaker 2: he came to a class really late, and guess what
- 20:26Speaker 2: he got in their study, got the players in there,
- 20:28Speaker 2: and boom they were doing uh, winning games and succeeding.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Second year, you get this unbelievable roster, unbelievable amount of
- 20:37Speaker 2: money spent ever on a basketball team, and it was
- 20:40Speaker 2: an absolute bust. Now, I think, I think there's gonna
- 20:44Speaker 2: be a lot more pressure on Pat Kelcey though. He's
- 20:48Speaker 2: spending they say upwards of thirty million dollars, and if
- 20:52Speaker 2: he doesn't succeed, he's gonna be in the same boat
- 20:54Speaker 2: that Mark Pope is in right now.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I don't believe the thirty million dollar number.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You don't believe it now.
- 20:59Speaker 3: If it comes out, if it comes out and it
- 21:02Speaker 3: really is that much, I'm gonna sit here and be like,
- 21:03Speaker 3: I mean, I'm not surprised because of the roster they
- 21:05Speaker 3: put together. I just I personally don't believe that in
- 21:09Speaker 3: college basketball right now, any team is spending that much money.
- 21:14Speaker 3: If we're if you want to say twenty five, I
- 21:16Speaker 3: could see that thirty million dollars for college back. I
- 21:19Speaker 3: mean not many teams in college basketball even make revenue
- 21:21Speaker 3: off of their you know what I mean, Like they
- 21:22Speaker 3: don't even gain a.
- 21:24Speaker 4: Net profit of basketball. So like look at Utah.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, and then we're gonna sit here and look
- 21:30Speaker 3: at an ACC team. I know that Josh Hurt's barring
- 21:32Speaker 3: a lot of money, and that's the whole uf L
- 21:33Speaker 3: sit going on. I know that's going on. So like
- 21:36Speaker 3: I said, if it is that number, I'd be like,
- 21:37Speaker 3: well makes sense. I'm just not there to believe it's
- 21:40Speaker 3: that high currently just yet.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Okay, Well, there's a lot of people trying to save
- 21:45Speaker 2: their jobs at University of Louisville, and well here we go.
- 21:49Speaker 2: I'm not trying to pick on them, but there's a
- 21:51Speaker 2: lot of people trying to save their jobs all across
- 21:52Speaker 2: the country. And and ill the nil I'll do a
- 21:57Speaker 2: little celebration to my good friend Justin Kalin. The nil
- 22:02Speaker 2: UH has really hurt a lot of programs, and uh,
- 22:06Speaker 2: it's just going to continue to do that. And it
- 22:08Speaker 2: doesn't matter if you get an equity company in there,
- 22:11Speaker 2: I E Utah or not. It's just it's still not
- 22:15Speaker 2: going to help you. There's not enough money that's going to.
- 22:17Speaker 3: Help you maybe Michael Bennett is start fund in you know,
- 22:20Speaker 3: UK's athletic Athletic Association.
- 22:22Speaker 2: No, I will not be doing that. Yeah uh maybe
- 22:26Speaker 2: maybe with a new athletic director. I'll be more than
- 22:28Speaker 2: happy to. But yeah, but not with the current status
- 22:32Speaker 2: at where we're at right now.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Does when you go to like UK basketball games, UK
- 22:38Speaker 3: football games and you go to concession stands, you know
- 22:41Speaker 3: how they have the little you know, they're like they
- 22:43Speaker 3: turn the pap hat around you can tip or whatever. Yes,
- 22:45Speaker 3: So I was talking with my brother for the other day.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I was like, listen, this is a free genius idea.
- 22:50Speaker 2: They need that.
- 22:50Speaker 3: You know how, they have like bobblehead knights at certain
- 22:52Speaker 3: foot you know baseball games like that. They need to
- 22:55Speaker 3: have a specific player's night at every basketball game, every
- 22:58Speaker 3: football game, and so all the people that do those
- 23:01Speaker 3: jobs are basically volunteers. Instead of giving out tips, turn
- 23:05Speaker 3: the iPad around and be like, would you like to
- 23:07Speaker 3: round up four dollars? It goes straight to Alex Wilkins
- 23:10Speaker 3: and then like we can keep them for another year.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Or you're like, hey, you got ah, that's what Mom Chilovich.
- 23:14Speaker 3: This is the Mom Chilovich night. You could just all
- 23:17Speaker 3: of your tips for the entire night go to that
- 23:18Speaker 3: nidle fund.
- 23:20Speaker 2: But what if that guy comes out there and plays horrific,
- 23:24Speaker 2: gets a technical foul at the risk, and loses the game.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I mean, that's that's a problem. So I don't know.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Maybe if they did it to where the player don't
- 23:34Speaker 3: know it's his night, I mean, that's the risk. I'm
- 23:37Speaker 3: just saying like this, it gives an opportunity to get
- 23:39Speaker 3: the fans involved. I'm sitting there asking for twenty five
- 23:42Speaker 3: thousand dollars from somebody.
- 23:44Speaker 2: And or maybe let's take it a step further. What
- 23:47Speaker 2: if you say, Okay, I'll give two dollars if he
- 23:50Speaker 2: scores ten points. I'll give ten dollars if he scores
- 23:53Speaker 2: twenty points, I'll give fifty dollars if he scores forty points.
- 23:58Speaker 2: What if you do it something like that and you
- 24:01Speaker 2: you tear it. I could see that, yeah, to where
- 24:04Speaker 2: well it's based on performance.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Imagine you only had like sixty dollars in your bank
- 24:08Speaker 3: account and maybe had too many beers at the basketball game,
- 24:11Speaker 3: and you're like, mom, Tillovich, please stop scoring a lot
- 24:13Speaker 3: of money, Please stop.
- 24:15Speaker 2: You could go Will Ferrell because It's free Hot.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Dog Night, Horn Dogs, Dogs, James Exactly, Corn Dogs, Jackie,
- 24:23Speaker 3: all these people.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I love that movie. That's one of my favorites. Anyway,
- 24:28Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, we gotta go. Uh, we gotta take
- 24:30Speaker 2: a break. Five o two three eight four fourteen fifty.
- 24:32Speaker 2: If you'd like to call in, you know, honestly, I
- 24:35Speaker 2: know John calls in. We've had a couple other people
- 24:37Speaker 2: call in. I would love it. We had some people
- 24:39Speaker 2: call in saying, talk about some memories with Justin. If
- 24:42Speaker 2: you want or text me I five oh two four
- 24:45Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty on the Whiskey t text line.
- 24:47Speaker 2: We'll get to those as soon as we get back.
- 24:49Speaker 2: This is just the Cats. See shot stop.
- 25:14Speaker 3: To see what.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Stop see babble two three eight four fourteen fifty. If
- 25:28Speaker 2: you want to give us call fable two four one
- 25:30Speaker 2: four fourteen fifty. You want to text me on the
- 25:32Speaker 2: Whiskey Thief text line, don't you tweak me? At Just
- 25:34Speaker 2: the Cat Radio, one person said, I'm pissed. I'm glad
- 25:37Speaker 2: Matt is on the show, but devastated for Justin. Man,
- 25:41Speaker 2: that's a nice compliment to you. Okay, yeah, I think
- 25:44Speaker 2: that is a compliment.
- 25:45Speaker 4: I do I appreciate that.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You know, a lot of people like me having me
- 25:48Speaker 3: on the show, especially being the the little fan on
- 25:50Speaker 3: the show, there could be a lot worse things said
- 25:52Speaker 3: about me.
- 25:52Speaker 4: So that's so I'll take any compliments.
- 25:54Speaker 2: One person said, what happened to Justin? Can you repeat it? Yes? Uh.
- 25:58Speaker 2: They the radio station and had given him a choice
- 26:01Speaker 2: of doing something, and they wanted him to work for
- 26:07Speaker 2: free doing his own show and he go out and
- 26:09Speaker 2: get the advertising and and then he'd get paid directly
- 26:13Speaker 2: that way, and he just didn't want to do it
- 26:15Speaker 2: that way. So anyway, and there's I don't know, there's
- 26:18Speaker 2: maybe a couple other things, but it's just we're going
- 26:20Speaker 2: to keep that amongst the station and Justin and that's it.
- 26:24Speaker 2: But it was disappointing. They gave him an offer and
- 26:27Speaker 2: he just decided to do something else, which good for him.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I mean, that's listen. I'm disappointed. He was disappointed, but
- 26:37Speaker 2: Justin's got to do what's best for Justin and and
- 26:40Speaker 2: that's that's I want Justin to be happy. That's what
- 26:44Speaker 2: I want. That's my main goal. And if it means
- 26:46Speaker 2: he's not going to be here at the station, as
- 26:49Speaker 2: long as he's happy. I'm happy, so but I'm bummed.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Josh text it out. I'm very sad mad about Justin.
- 26:56Speaker 2: I feel like being on National between seven to eight
- 26:59Speaker 2: now is the Wish or Her Team you version of
- 27:02Speaker 2: sports talk radio. I've I have to say, I didn't
- 27:05Speaker 2: have plans on listening anymore when I heard the news.
- 27:08Speaker 2: The chemistry with Justin and Michael was the best on radio.
- 27:11Speaker 2: The only saving grace is Matthew. How do you like that.
- 27:14Speaker 2: That's a really nice compliment. Thank you for saying that.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Come on, matt Let's let's be a little positive here.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I know it's not nine o'clock. Okay, flipping the switch
- 27:24Speaker 2: at nine o'clock and you'll be on. But they're saying
- 27:26Speaker 2: nice things to you.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Well, I look, I appreciate the nice things you guys
- 27:29Speaker 3: are saying. I love being on the show. Like I
- 27:31Speaker 3: was on it for a really long time, and obviously
- 27:34Speaker 3: I had to step away to you know, that's the
- 27:37Speaker 3: whole reason, like Roman and I switched our schedules because
- 27:39Speaker 3: like I had to be in the afternoons, he had
- 27:40Speaker 3: to be in the mornings, and I I just couldn't
- 27:43Speaker 3: afford it. But now I'm here I'm here again. I'm
- 27:45Speaker 3: excited to be on the show again.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Forty eight Handlesey, I can no longer support w XVW. Well,
- 27:52Speaker 2: I hate to hear that. Forty eight Handley. I mean,
- 27:54Speaker 2: I'm still on it, so don't penalize me. I've enjoyed
- 27:58Speaker 2: my listener relationship with you, Mike, and will continue to
- 28:01Speaker 2: follow your venture in racing. I want to say, on
- 28:03Speaker 2: a personal note, I always noted a certain reverence in
- 28:07Speaker 2: your voice when you spoke to your father. A worthy
- 28:10Speaker 2: goal and anyone's life should be to make a positive
- 28:14Speaker 2: impact on someone's life. Your positive, your proof positive of
- 28:18Speaker 2: that piece be with you. Well, that's very nice. Yeah.
- 28:20Speaker 2: I think about my mom and my dad. Both my
- 28:24Speaker 2: parents had extremely positive impacts on me and they still
- 28:28Speaker 2: to this day, and believe it or not, they still
- 28:30Speaker 2: do my boys very much. So even though my youngest
- 28:33Speaker 2: didn't remember my mom and my oldest remembers her a
- 28:37Speaker 2: little bit and he has fond memories of her. But
- 28:39Speaker 2: you know, I had a beautiful mom and he made
- 28:41Speaker 2: Bennett and incredible dad, Jerry Bennett, greatest day of his life.
- 28:46Speaker 2: That's what he's known as. I mean, I was talking
- 28:47Speaker 2: to somebody yesterday. That ah, greatest day of my life
- 28:51Speaker 2: as soon as I got to church. Greatest day of
- 28:53Speaker 2: my life, Michael Bennett. And it just it thinks me
- 28:56Speaker 2: to think of my dad every time I hear that.
- 28:58Speaker 2: So one persons said, what happened to Justin? Can you
- 29:01Speaker 2: repeat his Twitter has gone to?
- 29:02Speaker 6: No?
- 29:03Speaker 2: Is Twitter still up? It's it's Justin kaylin k A
- 29:08Speaker 2: E l I N p XP play by play. So
- 29:12Speaker 2: but it's still up. I mean, you remember he got
- 29:14Speaker 2: what he got scammed or what happened to him as
- 29:19Speaker 2: far as his original Twitter account, Matthew, do you remember.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Uh he opened one of those d was like, hey,
- 29:27Speaker 3: click this link and support me to join a podcast
- 29:29Speaker 3: or whatever. Yeah, and then he looked at me. He
- 29:31Speaker 3: was like, I'm so stupid for doing that. Yeah exactly.
- 29:33Speaker 4: Hey, look I know handful people who did it.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I'm glad. I glad I didn't do it. I know
- 29:41Speaker 2: I remember getting that from him.
- 29:43Speaker 5: Uh.
- 29:43Speaker 2: They one person said they already already tried the tipping
- 29:46Speaker 2: the players at UK Joe B. Hall created the post
- 29:50Speaker 2: game one hundred dollars handshake less you forgot? Oh boy? Okay,
- 29:56Speaker 2: then let's not go pick on somebody that's no longer
- 29:58Speaker 2: with us now. Joe By Hall was a great guy.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I had one of the fun conversation yesterday out at
- 30:07Speaker 2: Churchill Downs and uh, let me, I'll find who it was.
- 30:13Speaker 2: But it was an interesting and I'll tell you who
- 30:15Speaker 2: it was. And I almost see if you knew who
- 30:16Speaker 2: he was, one person said discovering over the weekend. I
- 30:20Speaker 2: remember Emily Dickinson was a real person and for her
- 30:24Speaker 2: time period, she's a smoke show. Look her up. I
- 30:29Speaker 2: remember Emily Dixson. I don't understand the reference to the
- 30:31Speaker 2: show about all this that you discovered Emily Dickinson. Okay,
- 30:37Speaker 2: I'll get it all right. Yeah, she used to have
- 30:38Speaker 2: a TV show back in the seventies. I don't remember
- 30:40Speaker 2: what was called. But anyway, Pat Kelsey went to sleep
- 30:45Speaker 2: after his fast start. If you land you, if you UK,
- 30:50Speaker 2: let me get this right. If U k lands Mancelovich,
- 30:53Speaker 2: then Kelsey should be crushed for not adding to the roster.
- 30:58Speaker 2: What do you think I mean? I don't necessarily agree.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I mean, like I said, I'm gonna be very happy
- 31:04Speaker 3: if they do land him. But I mean he's done
- 31:06Speaker 3: a really good job in the transfer portal already. I
- 31:09Speaker 3: think he does too So, I mean, I just think
- 31:11Speaker 3: that crush is excessive. It's obviously gonna be disappointing because
- 31:16Speaker 3: you don't want your rival to go get a player
- 31:18Speaker 3: you're also going after. Yeah, but at the same time,
- 31:20Speaker 3: it's not like if he doesn't Lammam Chilovich, every little
- 31:23Speaker 3: fans throwing their hands up and saying it was a
- 31:25Speaker 3: wash of an off season.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. One person said, wait, Scoots is gone. What
- 31:30Speaker 2: can the listeners do to have whoever is in charge
- 31:33Speaker 2: to do the right thing. This is terrible news, even
- 31:36Speaker 2: if he is a Hoosier boy. Well, I listen. If
- 31:40Speaker 2: you want to call the station and h but known
- 31:45Speaker 2: you're displeasure of what's happened, you can do that. But
- 31:50Speaker 2: I'm not gonna be the one instigating it. So please
- 31:54Speaker 2: don't get me involved in something like that. I mean,
- 31:57Speaker 2: but it's it's a shame. So Will from South Central
- 32:02Speaker 2: said John, maybe onto something, EM and M could do
- 32:07Speaker 2: a commercial. This is old. This was last week. Went
- 32:11Speaker 2: to bed angry last night about the loss to West
- 32:13Speaker 2: Virginia and the rumors about Milan. Then wake up to
- 32:16Speaker 2: find out that Justin is gone. Can anything good happened
- 32:19Speaker 2: to us anymore? Will from South Central. I don't know
- 32:24Speaker 2: how to help you to be happy. It was a
- 32:28Speaker 2: bad night. Let's I'm gonna talk about UK baseball in
- 32:31Speaker 2: the second hour because that was not a good game.
- 32:34Speaker 2: That was an absolute horrific way to lose that game.
- 32:38Speaker 2: But we'll talk about that second hour as far as Milan. Yeah,
- 32:44Speaker 2: let's get back to that conversation for a minute. Matthew,
- 32:48Speaker 2: you know I asked you a question. I don't know
- 32:51Speaker 2: because I said so many different things in that one
- 32:54Speaker 2: part about the longer this goes, the worse it is
- 32:59Speaker 2: for Mark Pope, and the better is for Pat Kelsey.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Do you believe that?
- 33:03Speaker 4: All right?
- 33:04Speaker 2: But the better is for anybody else other than Mark Pope.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Shouldn't the decision had been made quickly to Mark Pope,
- 33:11Speaker 2: And the longer this goes, the worse off it is.
- 33:14Speaker 3: I would say, because of everything that was going on
- 33:17Speaker 3: while he was in the draft process. I mean it
- 33:18Speaker 3: was basically like this guy's going to UK if he
- 33:20Speaker 3: comes to college basketball, is what I've been hearing multiple times.
- 33:23Speaker 3: So yes, I think the longer this goes on, the
- 33:25Speaker 3: worse it looks for Mark Pope.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it does. And to me, because it is known
- 33:32Speaker 2: that he is the one that I'm talking about. Mark
- 33:36Speaker 2: Pope UK is the one that is actually offering the
- 33:39Speaker 2: most money. And now that he's now that this is
- 33:43Speaker 2: taking on so long, it's like, what is the hesitation?
- 33:46Speaker 2: It shouldn't take this long, and it makes you believe, Okay,
- 33:49Speaker 2: he's mom Chilovich is letting other schools figure out if
- 33:53Speaker 2: they can come up with the money to be able
- 33:56Speaker 2: to pay him so he can go to their school.
- 33:58Speaker 2: But that's a bit of a problem. So whoever just
- 34:01Speaker 2: called in? The call dropped as I picked it up,
- 34:03Speaker 2: So oh we did. Do you want to call back?
- 34:04Speaker 2: Just go out and now pick it up? Okay, good?
- 34:06Speaker 2: Five O two three eight four fourteen fifty. If you
- 34:08Speaker 2: want to call in five O two four one four
- 34:10Speaker 2: fourteen fifty, I'll tell you, well, let's just go ahead
- 34:12Speaker 2: and take a break right now, five O two four
- 34:14Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty on the Whiskey Tate text line.
- 34:16Speaker 2: But call in and uh I will let you talk
- 34:18Speaker 2: about justin. Okay, uh I would appreciate it to let's
- 34:22Speaker 2: get your frustration out, get your frustration out with Michael Bennett,
- 34:25Speaker 2: stay right there. More just the CAATs coming right up.
- 34:56Speaker 2: Some interesting music selections you're choosing today.
- 35:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I just like their upbeat songs and okay,
- 35:06Speaker 3: vibes up a little bit.
- 35:07Speaker 2: I like that, all right. Well, yeah, this is kind
- 35:11Speaker 2: of a somber day. You're right, it's just a little
- 35:13Speaker 2: bit of a somber day. And that's okay. One person said,
- 35:15Speaker 2: no offense to anyone else at the station, but Justin
- 35:19Speaker 2: was the heart and soul of fourteen fifty huge and
- 35:21Speaker 2: puzzling loss. Could not. I don't take offense to that
- 35:24Speaker 2: at all, because you're one thousand percent right. You don't
- 35:27Speaker 2: take any offense to something like that, do you? He
- 35:29Speaker 2: was the heart and soul of this radio station? No,
- 35:32Speaker 2: of course, Tommy, especially if he's been here seven or
- 35:34Speaker 2: eight years. Yeah. Yeah, And I've just been here what
- 35:36Speaker 2: two years? So I'm not even close to being a
- 35:39Speaker 2: heart and soul of a radio station. But no, I
- 35:43Speaker 2: think that's very nice you to say that, and I
- 35:46Speaker 2: like that's here's the thing. Do you realize today is
- 35:51Speaker 2: the national day of say something nice? Day? That's a
- 35:56Speaker 2: day today? Exactly? Is it?
- 35:58Speaker 4: Shouldn't every day just be saying something nice?
- 36:00Speaker 2: That's what I think, Because now I'm curious, is there
- 36:03Speaker 2: a day where you say something mean day?
- 36:05Speaker 4: That's just the three hundred and sixty four other days?
- 36:07Speaker 2: Oh is that what it is on social media? Especially? Yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 2: that's where I yeah, yeah, that's where I get a
- 36:11Speaker 2: lot of it. I can tell you that. But yeah,
- 36:13Speaker 2: so can you go a whole day without saying something
- 36:17Speaker 2: mean to somebody?
- 36:18Speaker 4: No possible way, No possible way.
- 36:22Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 36:23Speaker 4: There's too many people that annoy me out there.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Look, I'm a hater.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Am I one of them? By the way?
- 36:29Speaker 3: No, okay, I'm a hater at heart. It's just what
- 36:32Speaker 3: I have to do.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Are you really? Now, you shouldn't be a You can
- 36:36Speaker 2: change that mindset. Go ahead and answer, it's fine, but
- 36:40Speaker 2: you need to change that mindset. And I like that
- 36:45Speaker 2: today June first, because June is my favorite month, is
- 36:51Speaker 2: National Say Something Nice Day. I think everyone should say
- 36:54Speaker 2: something nice days. And I like the fact that people
- 36:57Speaker 2: are coming on here and say something nice. So yeah,
- 36:59Speaker 2: we're all bummed about it. But uh, the other part
- 37:02Speaker 2: is it's national all of day. I don't know if
- 37:04Speaker 2: you like all of but uh maybe it should be
- 37:06Speaker 2: all of Garden Day. But no, that won't be for me.
- 37:09Speaker 2: So uh, all right, let's go ahead and is somebody
- 37:14Speaker 2: you can't even hear me now, but uh it's okay,
- 37:18Speaker 2: don't worry about it. Is there anybody? Is there anybody
- 37:22Speaker 2: on there?
- 37:23Speaker 3: I don't know what's going on with the phone line.
- 37:24Speaker 3: Oh great, So now we're having a problem with a
- 37:26Speaker 3: phone line. I'm picking it up, I swear. And it's
- 37:29Speaker 3: not like a dial tone like I'm sitting here like
- 37:32Speaker 3: hello bit Oh my god, there's nobody on the other end, like,
- 37:34Speaker 3: but they're calling in, so.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Like fantastic the day. I don't know, Oh my gosh.
- 37:40Speaker 5: Man.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Okay, you know I've I've bragged about this station never
- 37:44Speaker 2: having well I shouldn't say never, but really having minimal
- 37:50Speaker 2: technical issues.
- 37:51Speaker 3: If somebody, if somebody out there is listening that is
- 37:53Speaker 3: trying to call in, what you can do is you
- 37:55Speaker 3: can text in and then I can call the number
- 37:58Speaker 3: of your like ooh, try that, Yeah, call you directly, Yeah,
- 38:01Speaker 3: five two four fifty. If I call it, maybe it'll work. Yeah,
- 38:06Speaker 3: but uh, let's try that from that standpoint. All right,
- 38:09Speaker 3: let's go back to mom Chilovich. Uh they're calling again. Okay,
- 38:12Speaker 3: all right, we'll try it again. But uh uh let
- 38:17Speaker 3: me uh talk about a couple of things. One of
- 38:21Speaker 3: the things I think, uh, as far as Mom Chilovich,
- 38:25Speaker 3: I just I'm getting worried about it. I don't know
- 38:28Speaker 3: if as a UK fan, I'm absolutely concerned what's going
- 38:32Speaker 3: on here. I hope it does come to fruition. But
- 38:36Speaker 3: if Mark Pope misses on this, this is, like I
- 38:39Speaker 3: said a little earlier in the show, this is a
- 38:42Speaker 3: real concern. I know there's been a couple of national
- 38:45Speaker 3: media members out there that said this is this is
- 38:47Speaker 3: making or breaking for Mark Pope. Now, as far as
- 38:50Speaker 3: percentage wise, Matthew, do.
- 38:53Speaker 2: You think what percentage do you give UK landing Mom
- 38:58Speaker 2: Chilovich now on this Monday morning, give it like a
- 39:02Speaker 2: sixty five percent? Ooh, you're still above fifty. There are
- 39:06Speaker 2: a number of people are saying it's now fifty to fifty.
- 39:08Speaker 3: I think it's still above sixty. I think it's still
- 39:10Speaker 3: above eighty percent. Just for the fact of I mean,
- 39:12Speaker 3: they have the most money to spend. I think that
- 39:15Speaker 3: it's it's gonna come to a point where I really
- 39:18Speaker 3: think it's getting drug out because you know, Kentucky probably
- 39:21Speaker 3: has a good enough offer that you know, he's always gonna.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Have to look at it.
- 39:24Speaker 3: But then you look at the other teams like, maybe
- 39:25Speaker 3: these are better fits. Maybe I like this person better,
- 39:28Speaker 3: maybe I'll like you know what. There's probably a lot
- 39:29Speaker 3: of different things at hand. But then Kentucky just has
- 39:32Speaker 3: enough money to say, okay, well, if you're thinking about that,
- 39:34Speaker 3: I'll just up a dot even more than this. Like,
- 39:36Speaker 3: I think they have a plethra or at least a
- 39:41Speaker 3: solid amount of their war chest left over to basically
- 39:43Speaker 3: give this kid whatever he wants. So I still am
- 39:45Speaker 3: confident that he goes to Kentucky. We also have John
- 39:48Speaker 3: on the phone line. Okay, now, okay, all right, well
- 39:51Speaker 3: we'll go to the phone line right now. So John,
- 39:53Speaker 3: what's going on?
- 39:56Speaker 5: Oh, Michael sad to hear about justin Like the other
- 40:02Speaker 5: Texter said, heart and so man big x man, especially
- 40:05Speaker 5: in the morning and get us going. Cross Talk was awesome,
- 40:07Speaker 5: wasn't it, Michael?
- 40:08Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's the other I had. I didn't
- 40:10Speaker 2: think about it. Cross Stock is no longer, Matthew. I
- 40:15Speaker 2: am so people were excited about cross I wonder if
- 40:18Speaker 2: we need to do a health check on TJ. Walker,
- 40:21Speaker 2: because I think he was the number one fan of
- 40:24Speaker 2: cross Talk. Matthew so maybe we should reach out to
- 40:28Speaker 2: TJ make sure he's okay. But yeah, I mean though,
- 40:31Speaker 2: those are the first two guys I called. As soon
- 40:33Speaker 2: as I heard the news, I immediately called TJ or
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm not called my texted him TJ, Nick Rousch. And
- 40:40Speaker 2: it's like, this is a bummer because they're the three
- 40:42Speaker 2: guys that really started to get this station going. But
- 40:48Speaker 2: go ahead, John, tell me about it.
- 40:51Speaker 5: Michael. I mean I've been listening to the station now
- 40:53Speaker 5: for about eight plus years, and you know, with Kentucky
- 40:59Speaker 5: Road Call and Nick Ralph, TJ Walker, Trevor Kelsey at
- 41:05Speaker 5: the time, you know, then Justin comes in and then
- 41:08Speaker 5: Justin in the morning. I mean it just and now
- 41:11Speaker 5: I'm still listening Kentucky your old Call now with Steven Pete.
- 41:13Speaker 2: Go check it out.
- 41:14Speaker 5: A very good show and glad to hear Matthew still
- 41:18Speaker 5: doing the producing and stuff. Thank you Matthew for doing
- 41:21Speaker 5: what you do. And Michael, you have an awesome show.
- 41:23Speaker 5: So they might just tuning in right now listen to
- 41:25Speaker 5: me get involved with Big X. I don't even live there,
- 41:29Speaker 5: but if I live there and I do real estate,
- 41:32Speaker 5: if I live there, I would advertise a Big X
- 41:35Speaker 5: if I live there and I had a restaurant or
- 41:37Speaker 5: a business, I would advertise a Big X. They're a
- 41:40Speaker 5: very good show. They have very good shows, very good producer,
- 41:43Speaker 5: very good host, and they stay on topics and they
- 41:46Speaker 5: let the text line lead some shows and it's a
- 41:49Speaker 5: very good vibe. So if you're out there thinking about
- 41:52Speaker 5: advertising with anybody, advertise with Big X and hope other
- 41:57Speaker 5: people can hear this today. And if you guys are
- 41:59Speaker 5: listening online or what like I do in Evinsville, share
- 42:01Speaker 5: out their links, get online, go ahead and like the
- 42:04Speaker 5: YouTube that Michael's on right now, share it out. That's
- 42:07Speaker 5: going to help them in the long run. I wish
- 42:08Speaker 5: Justin was still around. I wish the rest of them
- 42:10Speaker 5: that I mentioned we're still around. A lot of those
- 42:11Speaker 5: guys are gone, but I'll stick around Michael. One thing
- 42:15Speaker 5: I agree with Matthew. I think it's sixty sixty something
- 42:18Speaker 5: percent still Kentucky. I feel good. I think the money,
- 42:24Speaker 5: like Matthew was saying, is a little bit more what
- 42:25Speaker 5: Kentucky can offer. But I know Meelan said, it's not
- 42:28Speaker 5: all about money, Michael. So but at the end of
- 42:31Speaker 5: the day, if you look at both rosters, Louisville and Kentucky.
- 42:35Speaker 5: I'm not sitting here trying to say that Kentucky has
- 42:37Speaker 5: a better roster and nothing like that. But let's just
- 42:39Speaker 5: say Louisville is an A plus roster Kentucky as it
- 42:43Speaker 5: sits right now, let's say is a B or a
- 42:45Speaker 5: B plus area right, they're a B. Let's just say
- 42:48Speaker 5: aree and you get me on on there, and now
- 42:50Speaker 5: they're an A. I mean, it's an A versus a plus.
- 42:54Speaker 5: But then you might be talking now about a couple
- 42:56Speaker 5: million dollars more or a million and a half more.
- 42:59Speaker 5: And then also one other thing to look at, guys,
- 43:02Speaker 5: when these guys are out there dribbling the ball, there's
- 43:04Speaker 5: only one basketball. Maybe Los Bull's got a lot. How
- 43:07Speaker 5: many did Pat Calsey? What is the road that he
- 43:10Speaker 5: promised all these players? What did he tell them? How
- 43:13Speaker 5: many minutes they were going to get, how many shots
- 43:15Speaker 5: they were going to shoot. They've got a lot more
- 43:17Speaker 5: players that look like they need a lot more stuff
- 43:19Speaker 5: given to them than what Kentucky. Kentucky has looks like
- 43:22Speaker 5: a solid you know, six, seven or eight that really
- 43:25Speaker 5: is going to be in the rotational problem. And then
- 43:27Speaker 5: the other ones are going to be you know, they're
- 43:29Speaker 5: just case of injuries. Gibill looks like they might have
- 43:31Speaker 5: nine or ten in that rotation. Soility right now, say
- 43:37Speaker 5: it better. But anyways, you guys get what I'm saying.
- 43:39Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, thank you for the phone called John. Always
- 43:41Speaker 2: good to hear from you. Yeah, you had they interrupt him,
- 43:43Speaker 2: didn't you. He just had to say something. How much
- 43:46Speaker 2: you love what he's saying right there, Matthew, wipe that
- 43:49Speaker 2: little smirk off your face. I just want you to
- 43:51Speaker 2: do that.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Cast them up more than I was.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, he really was. I was kind of That's
- 43:55Speaker 2: not like John. John is always to pump me up.
- 43:58Speaker 2: As far as when it comes to Mark Pope UK
- 44:00Speaker 2: football or you came basketball. You came basketball.
- 44:03Speaker 3: You don't see any Mark poop, Mark Mark poop, Sorry,
- 44:06Speaker 3: Mark Pope.
- 44:06Speaker 4: You came football this year.
- 44:08Speaker 2: No, we're not gonna see any Mark Pope football. But well,
- 44:12Speaker 2: you know you headed for so long for Mark stoops
- 44:15Speaker 2: and Mark Pope and now it's Will Stein. Thank goodness.
- 44:18Speaker 2: From a standpoint of I just kept messing up the
- 44:21Speaker 2: whole Pope and you just said Mark poop. So anyway
- 44:24Speaker 2: that that that to me indicates You've used that several
- 44:28Speaker 2: times when you may be on your podcast or something
- 44:30Speaker 2: the upper deck or oh of course I haven't.
- 44:32Speaker 3: Oh yeah, right, I mean that's just it's just it's
- 44:34Speaker 3: low hanging fruit and I'm a terrible person.
- 44:36Speaker 4: I have to reach for it.
- 44:39Speaker 2: You gotta stop this terrible person that is you have
- 44:42Speaker 2: to be nice today, all day long. You have to
- 44:44Speaker 2: be nice.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Have I not been nice so far?
- 44:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you've been very nice. But I'm talking to people
- 44:48Speaker 2: that irritate you, because I let trust me, there are
- 44:51Speaker 2: people that irritate me out there too. But I do
- 44:53Speaker 2: my best to be Uh, but some people try to
- 44:55Speaker 2: egg me on to get me mad or get a
- 44:58Speaker 2: response out of me, a reaction, and I sometimes that's fun,
- 45:01Speaker 2: sometimes it's not. That's that's the one good thing about
- 45:04Speaker 2: you and justin y'all would egg me on until I
- 45:07Speaker 2: just start losing it. And uh, that's the part. I
- 45:10Speaker 2: probably enjoyed that though most, and that's what I'll miss
- 45:12Speaker 2: the most. But uh, one person texted in there are
- 45:15Speaker 2: pictures of Mark Pope on the beach. He looks very confident.
- 45:19Speaker 2: I haven't seen the pictures, have you.
- 45:21Speaker 3: I don't want to see Mark Pope on the beach.
- 45:23Speaker 3: You don't, okay, Yeah, maybe he's fully clothed. Yeah, uh
- 45:28Speaker 3: well no no I don't. I don't either, but uh
- 45:31Speaker 3: maybe maybe I'll look it up and see how confident
- 45:33Speaker 3: he is.
- 45:33Speaker 2: I'm not. I'm not convinced of that, by the way.
- 45:37Speaker 2: I just maybe he's meant to try and look confident,
- 45:41Speaker 2: but I don't know. Then if if he's confident.
- 45:44Speaker 3: I mean to look like they're supposed to send on
- 45:47Speaker 3: a tweet like Gosam on the beach because we're not
- 45:49Speaker 3: getting me supposed.
- 45:50Speaker 2: To put his hands on his head and been down between
- 45:53Speaker 2: his knees and he's.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Already cried in front of Jeff Goodman once he can't
- 45:56Speaker 4: do it again.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Yeah, no, he's got to look confident. I mean if
- 46:01Speaker 2: he doesn't, then yeah, all is not well and all
- 46:04Speaker 2: is going to be over pretty soon. So I just
- 46:07Speaker 2: you gotta be careful there. So I would hope he
- 46:11Speaker 2: looks confident. If he didn't, then I would be even
- 46:13Speaker 2: more concerned. But anyway, when we come back, I don't
- 46:17Speaker 2: know if you saw it or not, but there was
- 46:19Speaker 2: drama in the Women's College World series. Did you see
- 46:22Speaker 2: what was happening there? And it happened after the game
- 46:25Speaker 2: was over. Evidently you didn't just say no, you didn't
- 46:28Speaker 2: see it. I don't think so. Yeah, we're going to
- 46:29Speaker 2: talk about the drama we got. We talk about some
- 46:32Speaker 2: nicks in San Antonio Spurs as well as UK baseball.
- 46:39Speaker 2: We'll talk about they're still in it. But what a
- 46:42Speaker 2: disappointing loss last night when they had such a great lead.
- 46:46Speaker 2: So all right, let's take a break hour two of
- 46:49Speaker 2: Just the Cats. Coming right up, stay right.
- 46:51Speaker 1: There, Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Michael just missing the opening of his own show. I
- 47:36Speaker 3: am I missed it because he's coming over here and
- 47:39Speaker 3: bullying me.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Hey, don't be that way now. I was not bullying you.
- 47:42Speaker 2: I was just trying to wake you up, so you
- 47:43Speaker 2: have a little fun. Five O two three four fourteen
- 47:46Speaker 2: fifty staid I calling wake up? Matt? Uh five O
- 47:49Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty wanted text in on
- 47:52Speaker 2: the whiskey thief text. I didn't tweet you, it just
- 47:53Speaker 2: the Cat radio. Uh. Did you realize that today would
- 47:59Speaker 2: have been Marilyn Monroe's one hundredth birthday?
- 48:05Speaker 4: And why did you look this up?
- 48:07Speaker 2: I didn't look this up. This is news.
- 48:09Speaker 4: You've been a little frisky this morning, Michael.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Why would you say I feel a little frisky.
- 48:15Speaker 4: Reminiscent on the golden days?
- 48:16Speaker 2: Oh? Whoa, here we go now. Listen, I wasn't born
- 48:20Speaker 2: are alive? Yeah, I wasn't born when she unfortunately passed
- 48:25Speaker 2: away at thirty six years old. But she died at
- 48:28Speaker 2: thirty six, thirty six years old. I did not know that. Yeah,
- 48:31Speaker 2: oh you didn't know that at all. No. Yeah, of
- 48:34Speaker 2: course they say that she passed away unusually. But I
- 48:40Speaker 2: won't get into that. I think you can look that
- 48:42Speaker 2: kind of stuff up. But yeah, so thirty seven, because
- 48:46Speaker 2: to me, I was I mean, I didn't know her
- 48:51Speaker 2: from her movies. I never I haven't watched a single
- 48:54Speaker 2: movie of hers. I just know the name. People wrote
- 48:57Speaker 2: songs about her. That's all I know. But and you know,
- 49:00Speaker 2: people say she was beautiful, and but is she the
- 49:04Speaker 2: most iconic woman?
- 49:09Speaker 4: I don't even know. I mean, I guess who.
- 49:12Speaker 2: Today would be one of the more iconic women that
- 49:15Speaker 2: you would say immediately it's this person. And I hate
- 49:19Speaker 2: tell you.
- 49:20Speaker 3: Like just by seeing them, everybody knows them, or like
- 49:23Speaker 3: if I say their name, they definitely at least have
- 49:24Speaker 3: heard of them all the above, Michelle Obama.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Interesting, that's an interesting pick. I was thinking not a
- 49:32Speaker 2: non political person. But okay, if.
- 49:34Speaker 3: Not political problem, my answer is probably not. My answer
- 49:38Speaker 3: would be like anne Hathaway. Really, I think Anne Hathaway
- 49:42Speaker 3: has been in like film for so long now. She's
- 49:45Speaker 3: kind of like been in every generation of films since
- 49:47Speaker 3: she started. Yeah, since like the nineties all the way
- 49:50Speaker 3: to twenty twenties. She's like five movies just this year.
- 49:54Speaker 2: She has five movies this year.
- 49:56Speaker 4: Like three to five. Yeah, something like that.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Holy cow. Okay, Yeah, I would not have said anne Hathaway,
- 50:03Speaker 2: and I know who she is. I just I'm trying
- 50:05Speaker 2: to think if I know one of her movie.
- 50:06Speaker 4: That might just be because of how attracted I am
- 50:08Speaker 4: to her.
- 50:08Speaker 2: I could be Oh no, that's the real reason right there. Yeah,
- 50:12Speaker 2: that now the truth came out, Paulina, you better watch
- 50:16Speaker 2: out if anne Hathaway comes in the studio. He our
- 50:20Speaker 2: Matthew might not be moving to Tampa.
- 50:21Speaker 3: For if Anne Hathaway walked in the studio right now,
- 50:23Speaker 3: I don't think she would even blame me.
- 50:25Speaker 4: I think she'd be.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Like, really, if anne Hathaway came to Louisville, Kentucky and
- 50:30Speaker 3: walked into Big X studio right now.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, Okay, Well, I don't know if I would
- 50:36Speaker 2: ever say that on live air, I because if she
- 50:39Speaker 2: knows I'm joking. No, Patricia Bennett walks in here, I'm
- 50:43Speaker 2: walking out with Patricia Bennett. If anybody else walks in here.
- 50:46Speaker 2: I mean, I'm not walking out.
- 50:47Speaker 4: With Patricia Bennet walking out with you.
- 50:49Speaker 2: That's the other question. You're exactly correct. No, she would not.
- 50:54Speaker 2: She would absolutely just be out of here. Yeah. I
- 50:58Speaker 2: listen in the heyday, she loved John only Camp thought
- 51:00Speaker 2: he was really good looking. Not anymore, but yeah, it was.
- 51:04Speaker 2: It was. Yeah. But I don't know if there is
- 51:08Speaker 2: a more iconic woman these days, and I can't think
- 51:11Speaker 2: of any.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know, not like on the level of
- 51:15Speaker 4: like Marilyn Moreau.
- 51:17Speaker 2: I mean, she's been gone for sixty three years and
- 51:22Speaker 2: she's still wild widely known across this country. I don't
- 51:27Speaker 2: know if around the world. But I just can't think
- 51:30Speaker 2: of another woman that has that kind of popularity Madonna.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Would you say, I'm not a big fan of Madonna,
- 51:36Speaker 2: but would you say Madonna?
- 51:38Speaker 3: No, I just haven't heard somebody really talk about Madonna
- 51:42Speaker 3: in like five or six, seven years ago.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough, there's just nobody out there. At one point,
- 51:51Speaker 2: I think you could have seen have said, what's the
- 51:54Speaker 2: Christina Aguilera. You might could have said Mariah Carey, but
- 51:58Speaker 2: I don't think I think they've gone kind of by
- 51:59Speaker 2: the who's the girl that the country music singer that's
- 52:03Speaker 2: on American.
- 52:05Speaker 3: You're gonna say carry Underwood, Carrie Underwood, Yep, that's I
- 52:08Speaker 3: was just sitting there thinking. I was like, if I
- 52:10Speaker 3: really had to rack my brain, I think I would
- 52:12Speaker 3: say Cary under as well. I mean, she like owns
- 52:14Speaker 3: Sunday Night everywhere exactly.
- 52:18Speaker 4: I think it'd be Kerrie Underwood.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:19Speaker 2: I watched a video clip of her singing with a
- 52:22Speaker 2: band last night and it was a little unusual. I
- 52:24Speaker 2: can't think of the band's name, but it was a
- 52:27Speaker 2: hard rock well, I mean it was a hair hair band.
- 52:30Speaker 2: But Tommy Lee Jones, what band was he?
- 52:32Speaker 3: In?
- 52:34Speaker 2: No idea? Yeah, Okay, I figured you wouldn't. But all right,
- 52:37Speaker 2: you're the music person, Yeah I used to be. Today
- 52:39Speaker 2: I'm struggling. I'm a little off my game today and
- 52:42Speaker 2: I think everybody knows why. But John here not gassing
- 52:46Speaker 2: up U of L. I'm just saying, if you want
- 52:49Speaker 2: to be the guy who was a sharpshooter h and
- 52:53Speaker 2: trying to elevate your game and showcase what more you
- 52:57Speaker 2: can do than you have, is not the spot for you.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Kentucky still has a competitive roster that gives him room
- 53:05Speaker 2: to breathe and grow as a player, but at the
- 53:07Speaker 2: same time be the number one player on the roster.
- 53:11Speaker 2: The NBA wants to see that leadership growth. They want
- 53:16Speaker 2: him to have a little pressure and succeed, and if
- 53:20Speaker 2: they were satisfied with just shooting, he would have been drafted.
- 53:24Speaker 2: So at U of L, he is just a shooter.
- 53:27Speaker 2: At Kentucky, he is the number one guy growing his game.
- 53:33Speaker 2: I agree with that.
- 53:34Speaker 3: I think that like if you do if you were
- 53:36Speaker 3: to go to Arizona, if you were to go to
- 53:37Speaker 3: U of L, he's still the dude. Could start for
- 53:41Speaker 3: any team in the country he wants, and he definitely
- 53:43Speaker 3: start on both those two rosters. But I think if
- 53:45Speaker 3: you went to Kentucky, you kind of already know you're
- 53:48Speaker 3: going to be the guy. So I honestly believe Milan
- 53:52Speaker 3: is at his ceiling at the moment. I don't think
- 53:55Speaker 3: he can get much better. I mean, forty eight percent
- 53:58Speaker 3: from high volume behind the arc. You're not really ever
- 54:00Speaker 3: to shoot better than that. He's not some great on
- 54:02Speaker 3: you know, like on ball defender. You know, he can't
- 54:05Speaker 3: really catch dudes off the dribble like that. He he
- 54:07Speaker 3: kind of needs to get into space he can shoot
- 54:09Speaker 3: contested and stuff like that. But I think we're already
- 54:11Speaker 3: seeing where his ceiling is at. I don't think he's
- 54:14Speaker 3: elevating it very much at all. But if you go
- 54:16Speaker 3: to Kentucky, you at least have the opportunity to get
- 54:18Speaker 3: the ball in your hands, probably a lot more so
- 54:21Speaker 3: you can kind of maybe get more film if you
- 54:23Speaker 3: really want to go to the draft again the next season. Right,
- 54:26Speaker 3: But it really, like I said, it really comes down
- 54:27Speaker 3: to him evaluating all three rosters and saying, where am
- 54:31Speaker 3: I gonna get the most playing time, where am I
- 54:33Speaker 3: gonna get the most money? And do I really care about,
- 54:37Speaker 3: you know, contending for this or maybe making a conference
- 54:42Speaker 3: championship final four, like all those things come into play
- 54:45Speaker 3: and how much they mean to him personally. So I
- 54:49Speaker 3: think that, like I said, Kentucky gives him the opportunity
- 54:52Speaker 3: to kind of get the most out of his time
- 54:55Speaker 3: in college basketball in terms of, you know, elevating his
- 54:57Speaker 3: draft stock. But I personally leave the other two schools
- 55:00Speaker 3: give him the more of like, if I want to
- 55:03Speaker 3: get the most out of college basketball, Louisville or Arizona.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Would give him that. Here's what I'm doing. If I'm
- 55:09Speaker 2: Mark Pope or if I'm a head coach out there,
- 55:12Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, Milan, what is your number one goal?
- 55:15Speaker 2: Is it to win a title in college? Is that
- 55:18Speaker 2: number one? Okay? Is it to get to the NBA?
- 55:22Speaker 2: And I think he would answer it's to get to
- 55:24Speaker 2: the NBA. So then I would say, here is how
- 55:27Speaker 2: I'm going to get you to achieve your goal. This
- 55:31Speaker 2: is how you're going to do it. This is what
- 55:33Speaker 2: the the pros want to see for you to be
- 55:36Speaker 2: able to succeed and make a roster in the NBA.
- 55:39Speaker 2: This is what I'm going to do. Here are the
- 55:40Speaker 2: steps I'm going to take. And that's how you bring
- 55:43Speaker 2: him to your school. Forget about this whole national championship.
- 55:47Speaker 2: That should be secondary to Milan mom Chilovich. Now with
- 55:51Speaker 2: Mark Pope, obviously that should be his number one goal
- 55:54Speaker 2: because that's purely his job. But he's still got to
- 55:57Speaker 2: bring in those players and for those players to come
- 56:00Speaker 2: and commit at the University Kentucky, he's got to say, Okay,
- 56:03Speaker 2: let's put your goals down, let's put your how are
- 56:07Speaker 2: am I going to help you achieve those goals? So
- 56:10Speaker 2: that should be the number one thing that Mom Chillovich
- 56:13Speaker 2: should be looking at, not where am I going to
- 56:15Speaker 2: win a title? Hey, if he's the best shooter in
- 56:19Speaker 2: the country, why didn't the NBA take him? There's got
- 56:22Speaker 2: to be a reason why he took his name out
- 56:26Speaker 2: out of the draft.
- 56:29Speaker 3: I mean, I know that he wanted to stay in
- 56:31Speaker 3: the draft as much as possible, but he was asking
- 56:33Speaker 3: for guarantees, whether that be a guaranteed contract with guaranteed
- 56:37Speaker 3: money or if he was going to be a guaranteed
- 56:38Speaker 3: first round pick, and it seemed like.
- 56:40Speaker 4: He didn't get either of those at this molement.
- 56:43Speaker 3: The issue with Milan is, yes, he is the most
- 56:45Speaker 3: talented shooter in college basketball right now, but like I said,
- 56:49Speaker 3: he's not the greatest defender. And if you want to
- 56:51Speaker 3: be more of an unathletic big, like, he's not hyper unathletic,
- 56:57Speaker 3: but he's also not some dude who can jump out
- 56:58Speaker 3: the gym, and you know he can't do it. He
- 57:01Speaker 3: can't do what most six seven, six', eight you know
- 57:05Speaker 3: forwards can.
- 57:06Speaker 2: Do but he can.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Shoot at a really high.
- 57:07Speaker 3: Level so when you want to be a player like,
- 57:09Speaker 3: that you kind of have to develop as a three
- 57:11Speaker 3: AND d kind of guy in THE. Nba you kind
- 57:13Speaker 3: of Got this is a bad example because he's not six,'
- 57:16Speaker 3: eight But Like cason wallace For, The thunder like we
- 57:18Speaker 3: just watched, Him right like his whole role is THREE,
- 57:21Speaker 3: And d like he's one of the best shooters on,
- 57:23Speaker 3: the team but he can also defend one, through three
- 57:25Speaker 3: like all.
- 57:26Speaker 4: Three, Levels yeah milan just can't.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Do that he's gonna be a guy who's gonna give,
- 57:30Speaker 3: up points but he's gonna score you a lot. Of
- 57:31Speaker 3: POINTS so i think his goal for this year is
- 57:34Speaker 3: to develop as a defender if he really wants to get.
- 57:36Speaker 3: A guarantee but at the, same time next year in,
- 57:39Speaker 3: the draft it's gonna be a. Lot softer you're not
- 57:40Speaker 3: gonna have as much of a stacked roster going INTO the,
- 57:43Speaker 3: nba draft so they'll have a.
- 57:44Speaker 4: BETTER chance i.
- 57:45Speaker 3: Don't see milan ever being like a. LOTTERY pick i
- 57:48Speaker 3: Don't see milan ever being a top, you know. TWENTY
- 57:52Speaker 3: pick i think he'd be into the first round, At
- 57:54Speaker 3: best so in, my opinion, AND honestly i think any
- 57:58Speaker 3: of the three teams that he could go to will.
- 58:00Speaker 3: Benefit him it just it's really gonna come down to
- 58:03Speaker 3: what's more important to him because you want more money
- 58:06Speaker 3: and he's kind of. Accepted, that OKAY my nba career
- 58:08Speaker 3: might not be, too LONG so i could possibly make
- 58:11Speaker 3: a lot of wealth with college basketball and then set
- 58:13Speaker 3: myself up for success. Later on or is it winning
- 58:17Speaker 3: at the highest level in? College like which ONE do
- 58:19Speaker 3: i care? About MOST and i think it's going to
- 58:20Speaker 3: be interesting to find out what his.
- 58:21Speaker 2: Decision, is, yeah well talking ABOUT, the nba now we
- 58:25Speaker 2: know who is going to be Playing. The knicks were
- 58:29Speaker 2: you surprised By The oklahoma city loss the? Other night? Loved,
- 58:32Speaker 2: it okay? LOVED it i, Was, hearing, Yeah, okay.
- 58:36Speaker 4: God here's a rolling on.
- 58:37Speaker 2: My face, oh, sure okay, all right get to the
- 58:41Speaker 2: realistic side, of it because you're just. EXAGGERATING now i
- 58:45Speaker 2: was actually surprised to see them lose. THAT game i.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Was too the one thing that made Me Like obviously
- 58:51Speaker 3: i'm a thun, Under hater so the whole thing of
- 58:52Speaker 3: them losing made. Me happy but the one part of
- 58:55Speaker 3: it that really made me feel like AS an nba
- 58:58Speaker 3: fan excited for the future of this league is like
- 59:01Speaker 3: the moment, they won You saw wenby like break down
- 59:04Speaker 3: into tears and like it bring his teammates in and
- 59:08Speaker 3: how excited. HE was i love to. See that it
- 59:11Speaker 3: makes me feel like the future OF the nba is in.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Good HANDS like i am so tired of this whole
- 59:19Speaker 3: thing that professional sports have had where every time somebody wins.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Something big we saw IN the nfl last Year With,
- 59:25Speaker 3: jalen hurts he didn't Celebrate all he's like walked off.
- 59:27Speaker 4: The field he was trying to look all cool.
- 59:29Speaker 3: AND everything i hate this like, Nonchalant act like it's
- 59:32Speaker 3: not cool to win, sports anymore you KNOW what? I
- 59:34Speaker 3: MEAN like i love seeing athletes, show emotion like this
- 59:37Speaker 3: is supposed to be, your dream, Right right so why are?
- 59:40Speaker 3: You trying like why are you trying to look cool all?
- 59:42Speaker 3: The time so LIKE when i, see athletes no matter
- 59:44Speaker 3: how big or how old, THEY are i love, Seeing
- 59:47Speaker 3: that like the video of Like when lebron came back
- 59:50Speaker 3: three to one and like fell on the ground. Started
- 59:53Speaker 3: crying you KNOW what, I MEAN like i missed, That
- 59:54Speaker 3: stuff like THAT'S what i grew. Up watching so EVERY
- 59:57Speaker 3: time i see somebody like win something big or make
- 59:59Speaker 3: them serious milestone accomplishment and they try to do, this,
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: like oh we're just back to work next week kind,
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Of thing, i'm, like man, come ON like i. Don't
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: care we know how you're. Actually feeling you don't have.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: To pretend so that's it gave me like a refreshing
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: feeling that there are still people that show them, like
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: that have that emotion and still love the sport the way.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: They, should yeah but should he be celebrating like that
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: just winning the conference final because it's not guide them to.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: The finals but it wasn't winning. THE finals i was
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: kind of surprised he reacted the way he did to
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: just make. THE finals i would expect that kind of
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: reaction if you WIN The. NBA champion i completely.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Understand that but at the, same time you took Down
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: The WESTERN, conference mvp you took down the back TO,
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: back mvp you took down THE reigning nba champion in
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: a game seven on their. Home, floor yeah in ONE where,
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: I mean shay looked like he was the best player
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: in college out of COLLEGE and nba basketball for the
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: second half of.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: That, GAME yeah i.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: Could definitely see how you just like worked your. Ass
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: off yeah you got to this point and like you're
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: almost surprised at your. Own outcome, so, like yes, you're
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: right you would expect that kind of reaction TO An nba.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: Finals win, so like at the end of, the day
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: if they don't win, the finals, it's like this is
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: kind of corny that you were Celebrating The Western collins finals.
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: Like this the.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: Other day it's just first, ever finals, you know like
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: the true when you're, a kid you dream of this kind,
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: of moment going TO The.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Nba finals, SO like i don't hate on Them for
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: i'm not.
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Gonna hate on him. FOR it i was just surprised.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: By it seemed like it was an overreaction for just making.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: The finals, NOT actually i would expect that kind of
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: reaction if you want. A Title that's that's kind OF
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: how i was Looking at but by, the way have
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: you seen some of his pregame routines some. Of them
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: have you seen the one where he's we're Talking. About,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: wimby yeah have you seen the one where he's doing, the,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: juggling yes. And lunges what is? Is THAT just i don't.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Understand why that's. Pretty impressive by, THE way i. Can't
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: juggle can?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: You?
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: Juggle, NO okay i, can't either and these people that
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: can it does amaze ME and I wish i could
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: MAYBE if i. PRACTICE more i just don't spend the time.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Doing STUFF but i don't understand the purpose of doing
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: juggling and lunges at the.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: SAME time, i MEAN it's i guess it's a. Coordination technique.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: It is this is also the same guy who spent
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: an entire offseason last Year, with monks you KNOW what?
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: I mean like THIS did i?
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Didn't know?
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Ye, that yeah there's pictures of.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: It, everywhere, like yeah he spent an entire offseason like
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: IN the i don't know what country he, was in
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: but he was hunging Out with monks and like finding
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: out how to balance himself or doing all.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: This stuff it was A really i DON'T think i
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: could do that.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: Interesting development, but like this is a guy who pulls
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: out all. The stops he wants, to win he wants
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: to be the best player in. The basketball aren't there
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: monks that?
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: Don't talk and that's, They'd, say well it happened In
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: the hangover if you remember that one the one monk
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: that they kidnapped and he didn't talk. AT all i
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: DON'T think i could. DO that i DON'T think i
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Could go i'm trying to figure out, right now how
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: long do you think what would be the over under
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: ON how i could go? Without talking where are?
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: We at are we Just LIKE am i just like living,
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: everyday life like normal day, of life or like?
- 1:03:05Speaker 4: We do are we in like a? Certain, situation No
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: so i'm.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: Every day i'm just like at HOME and i go, to,
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: workshps okay maybe twenty.
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: FOUR hours i DON'T think i could last. TWO hours
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: i DON'T think i could last. An hour i'm not
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: saying IT because i talked to MYSELF and i talk
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: to myself.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: OUT loud i.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Do the, same thing.
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: All right but there are plenty of Days where i'll
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: have like, an epiphany like in like, four Pm and,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: i'm like oh, MY gosh i really haven't like said.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Words? Today, Yeah, really no that's. Not me i'm always.
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: Saying words i've always got, an opinion Even if i'm
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: sitting by Myself and i'm saying, Out loud, i'm like you're.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: An idiot i'll say that quite a bit now most
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: of The time i'm talking. To myself, BUT uh i.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Don't know if You saw wimby's mom, and dad you
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: is dad, Six eight wimby? Seven four did you see
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: how tall his? Mom is no to not six foot
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: seven some tall. PARENTS exactly i mean you get, that
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: combination and now he is seven. FOOT four i do
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: people that are THAT tall i feel bad for because
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: every day normal things for you and me are. So,
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: difficult yeah.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Like You think shaq is fitting in those buicks that.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: He advertises you think he's walking into a normal house
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: or an apartment and he's constantly got to bend his.
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: Head down that that to me would.
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: Get, Old look i'm gonna go ahead and imprint my
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: carbon footprint on this show. Right now if my future
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: son happens to find this audio recording at, Some point
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: i'm sorry that your. Heightest chocks your mom's probably gonna
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: be like. Five five i'm gonna be. Five, Five yeah
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: you're gonna be a, short Dude and i'm sorry to.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: HEAR it I wish, i could, YOU know I wish i.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: Was taller that's just how it's gonna have. TO be
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: i don't feel bad for Guys, like, wimby because you,
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Know what we've seen plenty of people who be that
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: seven to seven foot four range who are some of
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: the Worst athletes i've. Ever seen but because they're, so
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: tall they make it in a career, in basketball and
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: it's like they usually have, health problems they usually don't
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: have the talent that some other.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: Players have wimby is such.
- 1:05:08Speaker 3: A, freak, that like this dude can do things that
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: point guards. Can do he can do things that shooting guards.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: Can do this dude can pull up from thirty feet and. Shooting,
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: exactly yeah and he's seven. Foot FIVE like i genuinely
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: believe we will never see an Athlete like Victor wiman.
- 1:05:28Speaker 2: Yama, AGAIN oh i think. WE will i don't think he'll.
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: Be alone you're telling me that there's only going to Be.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: One wimby there's only going to Be One michael Jackson Or,
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Michael Jackson, Michael jordan there's only going to Be One.
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: LEBRON james, I know i think there'll be other People
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: At Steph curry i'll put into. THAT group i think
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: they'll be more people.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: Out there, YOU see i can't compare him to those
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: three guys. Like that those three, guys, are yes they're
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: the best at their sport at that time or in
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: their position. As well i'm just saying that we'll never
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: see a seven foot five human being be able to
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: do the Things that wemby.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: CAN do i think we will because the way that they,
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: train today and he's training like, a guard just Like
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: with i'm trying, to think who. Was it there was,
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: some big big men out there that were uh playing
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: guard at one point when they're in, elementary school and
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: then all of a sudden they have a gross spurt
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: and now they're, really tall and now they still play
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: like THE guard i think WOULDN'T be i think they'll
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: be more Players. Like wimby i'm not, Gonna now i'm
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: not trying to take away with the talent that. He
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: has please don't take it. That way but, uh no
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: he's a. Great player so, all right we got to take,
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: another BREAK uh i five two four one four fourteen
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: fifty one text me On The whiskey thief. Text line
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: when we, come back we got to talk a little
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: BIT about uk baseball and the, Disappointment there but we
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: got a, game tonight so hopefully they can correct that
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: loss from. Last night, say right there more just cats
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: coming up.
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: The money on, all right before we go on to talking,
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: little baseball who are you going with as Far As?
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Knicks Spurs because spurs have the home. Field advantage Games,
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: start wednesday so they got a couple. Of days do
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: you Think the necks have an advantage because of the
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: fact that they've had more time to rest they've. Swept
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: everybody or do you Think it's spurs because they've been
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: playing on and it doesn't matter about they get a
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: couple of days. Of rest but do you think uh
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: one has the advantage over the other over that or
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: and who are?
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: YOU picking i think That the knicks will have the
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: advantage in, terms of, you know they've gotten, The rest
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: i've gotten more time to practice and, get ready and
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: they've gotten to watch the other team play more times.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: Than Not but i'm still going With the. SPURS one
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: i think that. THEY are i think the best two
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: teams IN the nba Were the spurs And. THE thunder
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: i kind of feel like that WAS Our nba. Finals
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: already i'm Also a pacers FAN and i just Hate,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: the Knicks so i'm gonna root For the spurs until
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: THE day.
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: I die are?
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: You really most of the relief from Watching the spurs
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: win the other night was because THAT means i didn't
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: have to root For, the knicks And so i'm just excited.
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: About, That Okay well i'm Picking. The KNICKS so I
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Want Karl anthony towns to win. AGAIN championship i know
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: You got keldon and you got Fox, on spurs but,
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Either way i'm happy because YOU got uk players that are. Gonna, WIN.
- 1:08:47Speaker 4: Yeah I mean i.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: Understand, That yeah i'm glad. YOU do I wanted donovan,
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: to win but you know his team sucks and his coach.
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: Is terrible yeah that Was Not kenny atkinson. Is, awful
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: yeah but.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: Let's TALK about. Uk baseball they had a lead going
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: into the ninth inning, last night nine, to six and
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: just had a absolute debacle and total failure in the
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: ninth inning as Far as. I'm concerned In The West
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: virginia regional Versus the mountaineers. And lost it was just
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: it was just all around horrible, bases loaded they get
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: a balk, basis well they got a balk at, one
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: point they got walked another at. ONE point, i, mean
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: like what are you? Doing here just just pitch, the
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: ball finish, the game, throw strikes it's all you. Gotta
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: do let the fielders get the outs. For you that
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: was disappointing loss, last night cause it's been a. Fun
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: weekend it's been an absolute complete switch from THE way
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: uk finished the season played IN. The sec now you
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: get IN the ncaa tournament and you got all the
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: chances in the world to win this and go To
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: The super regional and they, blow it but never fear
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: they have another. Game tonight i'm even to me when,
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: you lose when it's a must win game for one,
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: particular team they. WIN it i feel like that team
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: goes in there to the second game with momentum and
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: has a better shot at winning the second game than the.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: Other team that all they got to do is win
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: one game out of the two games to go on
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: to The. Super regional are you kind of the same
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: way or do you, feel, Like nah i'm the.
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: Same way when you're in a situation where you're either
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: the underdog or you're not expected, to win you kind
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: of have a chip on. Your, shoulder yeah and you.
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: Have nothing you have NOTHING to i guess nothing to.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Play for it is not the. Right word you have nothing. To,
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: lose yeah when you come out there and you can
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: pull out that first, game win you have all, the
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: momentum you get the other team kind of on. Their
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: heels but at the same time you play with fire
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: like that a. Little bit when just like you said
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: in the last in the Game Against west virginia the,
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: other day when you kind of almost have it in
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: the bag and you lose in such a horrendous way
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: that you, lost there you flip the entire momentum on his,
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: other side and it could kind it's the same thing
- 1:11:00Speaker 3: like we just we're talking ABOUT the nba. Last segment
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: that first Game the calves had Against The knick strip twenty.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Four points you lose that game that basically ended the series. For,
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: them yeah the LOSS that uk had last the other
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: night in baseball could possibly lose them the chance and
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: going On To super regional because of The Momentium west
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: virginia gain off.
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: Of, THAT well i hope. IT doesn't I hope uk
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: somehow finds a way to win the ball. Game tonight
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: we don't know who's gonna be, pitching yet but the
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: games at, SIX o'clock i don't think we know what
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: channel it's ON. On, ESPN dewey i found it funny
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: that a lot Of The west virginia fans were upset
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: that the game was ON the. Sec network? WHO cares
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: i mean if it was ON if uk was playing
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: a team that had their own, PARTICULAR network i. Don't
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: care as LONG as i get to. Watch it does
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: that really matter to teams and schools? OUT there i.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Mean some people care because like when it's it's on
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: a major network, like that you do get the revenue share.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: From it, Oh okay but at the end of the
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: day are upset?
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: About, it yeah at the end of.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: The day, It's like i'm not trying to, downplay anything
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: but you're watching the regional of a college, Baseball game
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: like you got to expect that you're Not towards like
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: college baseball is not huge in city to city like
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: college basketball, football, is right so you're not gonna get
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: that national coverage every single game until you get to
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: like deepen the super regional right get to. The college
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: so like it's not something you should be surprised about
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: having to play ON the sec network in.
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: A REGIONAL.
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: Would i rather.
- 1:12:29Speaker 3: See my favorite team play on the major stage every,
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: single game, Of course but that's just that's just not how.
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: It works like there's other things they want to PUT
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: on tv besides.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: College. Baseball yeah did you See Where patrick mahomes had
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: front row seats To The savannah Bananas versus indianapolis Game At.
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: Kaufman stadium.
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: THAT'S wow i, Did NOT but i don't know why
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: he's doing. THAT either i.
- 1:12:51Speaker 2: Don't either, but, Anyway well i'm hoping the game. Tonight,
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: changes uh THEY'LL momentum uk wins and boom they are
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: going off To The. Super regional. You see losing though.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Was crazy number one team in the country was eliminated over.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: The weekend i'm, Be.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: Honest michael, THIS season i have not been tapped into
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: college baseball.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: At all because your. Team sucked they. Were terrible well
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: that's why you're not Tapped into.
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: I'm NOT like i do, like BASEBALL but i, HAD
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: like i don't like it ENOUGH that i can. Just
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: like it's not like football for ME where i can
- 1:13:22Speaker 3: just watch. WHATEVER'S on i have to have a team in.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: The fight, So, LIKE okay i got into baseball last
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: year the very being of, the SEASON and i, WAS
- 1:13:31Speaker 3: like i need to have. A TEAM so i Picked
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: the Reds and i've been Following the reds past. Two seasons,
- 1:13:35Speaker 3: I'VE well i followed a little of BASEBALL since i
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: was a. Little, kid yeah most of, the time because
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: they've been good most of.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: THE times i was a.
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: Little right, THIS season, i mean the pitching was just.
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: Absolutely abysmal you Have, take davis who has one of
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: the best seasons in college, baseball history which is fun,
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: to watch but it was one where you, could like
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: this team could put up thirteen runs but then lose.
- 1:13:54Speaker 3: By twenty like the pitching was so bad it was
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: just unbearable. To watch, SO yeah I just i have
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: not into. College baseball the.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Season is this kind of beginning of the End for
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: damn McDonald, AT ul i.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Think it Can be he's definitely gonna get one, More
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: shot like this.
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: Is absolutely like you should get, another, Shot yes like
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: this is his.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: EXTENSION year i bel like his contract is up this
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: pat of. The, season YEAH so i know they're making
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: changes as the. PITCHING staff i think they're gonna Be,
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: like dan you did you brought Us The College world series?
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: Last year you Were a final four team. Last year
- 1:14:25Speaker 3: you showed us you can still. Do it BUT something
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: i get you have a Loyalty To, roger williams and.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: That's understandable but something has. To change this. Was unacceptable
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: if you can't, change it, then yeah.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: YOU'RE, done mlb, you know has been talking, about expansion
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: and there's a lot of cities out there that really
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: won it the. Worst way nashville wants, A team sacramento
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: really wants, A, TEAM vancouver I Don't Salt. Lake city
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: those are four cities that are really vying to have.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: A team i don't see how it Works. IN vancouver,
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: i mean if you're Playing Into, september october it's gonna
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: be way too cold and there's gonna be a lot
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: of snow. Up there But One Major league baseball owner
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: said expansion is stupid and does not. Want it and
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: let me give you the. Reasons why because it doesn't
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: make any kind of. Financial sense why do they want
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: to subsidize? More teams and that's what they're doing. Right
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: now think about my, Favorite Team Tampa. Bay rays they're
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: Subsidizing The Tampa bay rays. Every year they're doing It,
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: with colorado they're doing It, with miami and they're not
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: bringing in the money that generates the rest of, The
- 1:15:55Speaker 2: league so why do they want to bring in? More
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: TEAMS and i kind of agree With The major league
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: going that said expansion is stupid because that's taking more
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: money out of. Their, pocket yes they're gonna get a
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: fee in the beginning because they're they're expecting the. Expansion
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: fee are you ready? For this they're saying that the
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: expansion fee, right now if they do to any of,
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: these cities will be over three. Billion dollars now that's
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: great in the, short term but in the, LONG term
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: i Guarantee, You, nashville tennessee they're doing a great JOB
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: supporting nfl and they're doing a great job of SUPPORTING,
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: the nhl but they Can't Support Major. LEAGUE baseball i
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: don't Know, If, sacramento Vancouver Or Salt lake. City can
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: and they're going and that owner, is right they're gonna
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: have to subsidized. More, teams, which yeah it was great
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: to get that three billion in, the beginning but that
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: money's gonna run out quickly because it's going to go
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: towards subsidizing these other teams that can't. Support themselves do
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: you think that's right or do you think they need
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: to expand more Teams In Major? LEAGUE baseball i think
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: they expand.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: More, teams Wow, because michael, to me if you want
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: to grow, your sport and this is coming from a
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: guy who's tried, to follow who's trying to, FOLLOW baseball
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: i guess the past couple, Of, years yes the sport.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: Is dying like that's why they're changing all. These rules
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: that's why they're trying to. Modernize it they're trying to make,
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: it faster trying to make it more. Viewership friendly, it's
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: dying like nobody's going to these. Games anymore baseball tickets
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: are the cheapest tickets on. The planet like they're basically
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: begging people to. Come out if you want to grow,
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: the sport you have to actually grow, The sport like
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: it's not just let's Have a bobblehead night and hope
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: we can have fans.
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: Come in that's how we're. Gonna grow we're gonna bring more.
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: Fans in you need to legitimately add. More teams you
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: need to add, more markets you need to add, more
- 1:17:49Speaker 4: versatility more diversity to, this league to a league that
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: has been like it's the one SPORT where, I mean
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: i guess besides golf is the most traditionalist sport on. The,
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: planet yeah like things, never change it's always.
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: THE same i understand the point of, you know having
- 1:18:05Speaker 3: multiple subsidiaries and that causes issues financially for the league
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: and THESE things, I UNDERSTAND but, i mean the old,
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: the tail oldest time is you've got to spend money to.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Make money and the thing is is when with how you've,
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: the league the one b has done a good job
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: of any of these, new rules that's, made it, you,
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: know WELL like, i said more viewer friendly and has
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: brought like From what, i've seen more people to some of.
- 1:18:26Speaker 3: These games the end of, the day that's going to.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Die out this is going to become the. Norm again
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: it's going to. Slow down we're gonna start seeing the
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: same things that you're. Seeing before all these new like
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: everything new is gonna feel. Old again and the only
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: way to continuously make it feel new is to do
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: the things LIKE the nfl has been, talking ABOUT the
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: nba has been, talking about and that's add. More teams
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: that's add more teams to the list of to the.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: The league that's that's add more fans to the roster
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: or to the add more fans to those cities have
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: more players. These rosters it's the only route you can
- 1:18:56Speaker 3: go to continuously say THAT the mlb is when to continue.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: To grow if you just never had, any teams it's
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: going to go stale and it's going.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: To, die yeah but you get to a point where
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: these teams can't afford to maintain the financials of other
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: teams that are. Not succeeding it's because, you know when
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: they get a, new team it'll it'll do well the.
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: First Year, like miami, for example they did well the,
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: first year they did well when they did the brand,
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: new stadium and then all of, a sudden attendance is.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Just fallen it's it's done Well in tampa, This Year
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: Tampa Bay saint pete because They Revamped, tropicana field which
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: was an, absolute dump and they did a really nice
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: job of after the hurricane. Repairing it but you know
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: that's only temperary because they're Moving. To TAMPA but I
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: just i feel like you get to a point where
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: the owners, is like we can't support all these other
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: teams you're taking money out of. My pocket because these
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: other cities want teams DOESN'T mean i want more money
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: out of. MY pocket i. DON'T know i especially the
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: cities we're, Talking about i'm. Not interested i'm not going
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: to Go, To nashville tennessee to go watch a. Baseball
- 1:20:06Speaker 2: game i'm Going, to Cincinnati or i'm Going to tampa
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: and and probably only OTHER places i would go would
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: BE either la To C, Dodger, stadium CHICAGO because i
- 1:20:17Speaker 2: love going to See. The Whites the cubs play there At,
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: regular field even though that place is antiquated. The iconic
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: other Places, Probably, boston Baltimore And. New york. That's it
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: i'm not Going To Sacramento salt lakes, say oh let's
- 1:20:32Speaker 2: Go to sacramento and see a. Baseball, game no that's
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: never going. To happen those words will never come out of.
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: My mouth by, the way they have done THINGS that.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: I like, for instance have you seen what the duration
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: of a nine inning game is? Averaging now so back in,
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: twenty one it was averaging three hours and ten minutes
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: over time with the new way they have it with,
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: the clockout twenty two was, three hours three minutes in twenty,
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: twenty three it was, two hours thirty, nine minutes twenty
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: four two hours thirty. Six minutes it's now averaging about
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: two and a. Half Hours and i'm to a point
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: NOW where i think baseball might be a little too
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: short as far as. THE time i have. A disagree
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: you are really you, want it you want? It faster
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: is that about the? Right?
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: TIME no i think that's that's a. Perfect Time jey
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: road two and a. HALF hours i think two and
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: a half hours is perfect. Or baseball it just seems.
- 1:21:25Speaker 3: SO fast i THINK an nfl game. Is longer you Can't,
- 1:21:29Speaker 3: BE yeah I think nba game is that's probably right
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: there around. Two hours but major, league man that two
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: and a half hours is is.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: That's? Amazing uh would you think Of The blue. Jays
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: outfielder did you See That? Hayesius sanchez is that.
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: The the one where he got hit in the hand by?
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: The?
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: EXACTLY yes i saw this.
- 1:21:48Speaker 2: All right you saw, The video so if you haven't,
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: seen it go. Watch It It's blue jays Outfit Of.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: Jesus sanchez he got hurt because he was play, they
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: said playfully or Had he sue said? It? Playfully uh
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: talking with a fan and said made, the, comment well
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: just throw, me ball we'll. Play catch and then unexpectedly
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: the fan threw a ball hit him on the Hand
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: and sanchez had to be uh taken out of the
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: ball game because it. Hurt Him and, i'm, thinking well wait,
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: a minute this is like a what a twenty five
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: to thirty mile an, Hour ball and then security, went
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: up located the person and ejected them from the. Baseball
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: game they ejected.
- 1:22:30Speaker 3: The, fan yes, that's ridiculous THAT'S what, i, thought because like,
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: you said he came out and was like it was. A,
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: misunderstanding yes like he didn't like it wasn't like he
- 1:22:41Speaker 3: was throwing it. At me plus in the video he
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: doesn't like it's not like a pitch like he like
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: lobs him to, say exactly it's like the most like
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: child like it was a catch with. Your dad well
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: they said it was a kid that. Threw, it yeah,
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: that's ridiculous THAT'S what. I thought because the player literally
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: holds his glove up as if he's, gonna play and
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: then just like it's.
- 1:23:02Speaker 2: That's ridiculous, it's, like well why'd you? Turn around you
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: just put your, glove up said throw me, the ball
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: and it's, just like. Oh man and THEN when i
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: heard they threw the person out of. THE game i
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: don't know if, the kid the dad or both. Or what,
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: It's like wait, a minute how could you? Do that?
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: You know something that blows my mind about baseball is
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: that the whole like catching baseball's in the outfield and
- 1:23:25Speaker 3: playing catch with the with, the outfielders that happens in every.
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: GAME possible i can.
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: See everything you know that when they do like the
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: pitching changes and the outfitters, warm up they always throw
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: the ball on the outfield to. Some fan all that
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: stuff is on such an, honor system you KNOW what,
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: i mean because think of every. Other sport if you
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: GO to, nba games if you GO to, nfl games
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: you'll go to the late the stadiums where they don't
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: let you keep bottle caps because they know that fans
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: will throw them. At players they don't let you keep
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: certain items because you can throw. Them.
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: Up right baseball is literally an.
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: Honor system they are they are handing you a like
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: two pounds solid rock that you could basically there is
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: the world whenever. You want people just don't do it
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: like it's because it's ingrained in. Your brain you just don't.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: Do that and it's one of those IT'S like i
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: can't believe somebody hasn't ruined it for baseball, fans yet,
- 1:24:18Speaker 3: you know like one crazy person hasn't been, like gosh
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: we need to win.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: THIS game i need To Take aaron judge out. Right
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: now it.
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: Just.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: Hasn't, happened well, you know when my kids, were little
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: we could go get baseball bats with their name on
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: it before the game and then they give us.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: The baseball we could have thrown blobbed this bat out
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: there exactly AND like i never thought. About that you're
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: exactly right sitting here, saying, like, oh, like no nobody
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: should ever, do that because that's a sanctity of baseball
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: THAT like. I love i love how immerse of the
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: fan experiences. In baseball that's the joy. Of it it
- 1:24:53Speaker 3: just blows my, mind that, you know knowing how, humans
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: are that that just has not.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: Happened, yet well don't put anything thoughts in their, minds
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: now because. You're right, you go you go to a
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: football game and you get a, bottle water not even
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: a beer, of water and they keep. The cap, it's
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: like WHAT am i going to do with. THIS anyway
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: i think. It's silly but, all right we gotta take our.
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: Last break when we, COME back i want to talk
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: about the drama that happened At The Texas Tech, tennessee
- 1:25:20Speaker 2: Worlds The Women's. World series it was a lot of
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: fun to. Watch that we'll be. Right back this is
- 1:25:27Speaker 2: just a cat rocks. You have. You know the other
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: thing that Stuck out you didn't see, it either the
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: End Of North carolina state's uh sees and that ended
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: on a pitch. Clock violation did not?
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: See, that yeah be a terrible way, to lose can?
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: You exactly that has to be. The. Word now they
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: were DOWN by i think it was like four or.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: Five runs but to end the season on a pitch
- 1:26:17Speaker 2: clock as you're, at bat not, a pitcher but as you're,
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: at bat it's. Just? Unbelievable okay is that.
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: The worst way? To lose or?
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: Is it?
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: You, know like let's say it's the bottom of the,
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: ninth inning bases are loaded and you strike a dude
- 1:26:32Speaker 3: out and he calls.
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: A challenge it's a ball and walk and you lose All.
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: The, oh yeah that happened in the high school one?
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: DID yes i think it was in. High, school yeah
- 1:26:40Speaker 3: well it. Was different IT was i think the catcher
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: dropped the ball and the runner ran and the team
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: was celebrating because it's called strike and the ball is on.
- 1:26:52Speaker 3: The ground the runner runs the first and continues to
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: run around the all the, entire bases and the other,
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: team won and even though the kid had, struck out which.
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: WAS crazy i don't know any of those ways is
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: a horrible way.
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: To, lose anyway let me get to a couple of
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: text messages before we end. For today buzz tweeted out or.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: Texted OUT what i like About THE big x is

- 1:28:16Speaker 2: like reason why Would, be no he was a coach
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: At the pacers and did. Really. Well uh but, then uh,

- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Of nature as Far as i'm. Concerned too you never
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: saw a big man long time ago that handled the
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: Ball Like lebron james Or A. Michael, JORDAN yeah. I,
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: agree yeah, all right then. One Person Major league baseball
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: already has a watered down. Play pool When The blue
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: jays Play, in seattle fans come Down from vancouver and

- 1:29:34Speaker 2: needed to get to fifty one points or close. To
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: it if we, had won then we would have split
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: one thousand dollars in qualified to play in the tournament
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: to Go To las vegas for the national Tournament. In

- 1:30:40Speaker 2: tennessee tech Lost to University. Of tennessee that's not. The
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: drama the DRAMA WAS tasch, I Said. Tennessee, TECH yeah
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: I Mean. Texas. Tech uh the drama was the, fact,
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: that uh the handshake line is going through and The
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: the tennessee coach shook a player and according To A texas,
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: tech player who oh, my gosh sorry. About that that's a.
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: Big sneeze according To A tennessee tech who happened to
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: be A former tennessee player from the, year before claims
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: That the tennessee coach going through the handshake line said
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: you made a mistake to the. Former player now you
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: GOT the ut coach that's been interviewed and unequivocally said
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: it's an outright lie and. Never happened CREDIT, to espn
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: they recorded the, handshake line had video of it and
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: slowed it down and you can See the tennessee, coach saying.
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: Good game.
- 1:31:52Speaker 5: What?
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: Should happened SHOULD The Uh texas tech player be reprimanded
- 1:32:00Speaker 2: or should anything happen because that's that's not a. GOOD
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: look i.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Don't know if he should, be reprimanded, but, like yeah
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: it's it's a. BAD look i don't honestly don't really
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: know what you would do in. This situation at the
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: end of, THE day, i mean They lost, Tennessee One texas.
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: TECH lost I think i'm just, moving on like he'll
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: probably get something from me, or, see, yeah, Sorry sorry
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: I'M just I think i'm just. MOVING on i don't
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: think it's worth diving.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: Into, really well but but when you have a former
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: player outright lie that you said you made a mistake
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: and seeing something obnoxious going through the, handshake, LINE man
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: i might have a problem with that because you're trying
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: to that player's trying to make her former coaching team,
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: look BAD and i think that's a bad look. TO
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: me i need to make certain everybody knows. OUT there
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: i didn't say anything.
- 1:32:53Speaker 4: LIKE that i just don't know what you.
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: Would, do yes it's a, bad LOOK and i think
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: if you're gonna do something about you do it kind
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: of like. Behind CLOSED like i don't think it needs
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: to make national, media level but she.
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: Took it to a national. Media level though.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: This is a.
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: Player did this is something that happens all, The time
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: like emotions fly when, you're playing especially you're playing against,
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: you know your former team and stuff. Like, THAT right i,
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: DON'T know i, feel like what would you even do the,
- 1:33:17Speaker 3: season's over you're gonna venture for season season at least apologize.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: Or, SOMETHING yeah i just let. MY motions i probably
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: shouldn't have. SAID that i doubt if anything, happens too
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: BUT that i don't Blame the tennessee coach for being
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: upset as much as. She, is yeah.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: THAT'S fine i don't blame them at all.
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: For that, BUT yeah i, JUST like i just don't
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: know what you would even do in a situation, Like,
- 1:33:40Speaker 3: this like if You're the, tennessee coach are you reaching
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: out to LIKE the ncaa asking.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: FOR no i don't think, That's IT but i JUST
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: LIKE i i don't EVEN think i would reach out
