- 0:00Speaker 1: Let you're trying to get into a dare sho what
- 0:04Speaker 1: you're trying to do? You know, I'm gonna be honest
- 0:08Speaker 1: with y'all. You ahead, girl, Like this episode that we
- 0:14Speaker 1: had to watch for today's podcast. Yeah, the chaos gets
- 0:20Speaker 1: to you quick. Yeah, it gets to your real fast. Man.
- 0:24Speaker 1: That ship is not no bullshit. Man, It's like bamm
- 0:27Speaker 1: it and you're like, oh my god, I'm back in it.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's crazy, man. No, I'm talking about just life in general. Listen.
- 0:35Speaker 1: We've had the luxury to be able to do our
- 0:37Speaker 1: podcast from the comfort of our own home, you know
- 0:40Speaker 1: what I mean, Like a lot of people out there.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I got a job, right, so now I have to
- 0:45Speaker 1: work during this crazy time. So the anxiety of that
- 0:50Speaker 1: already bam in your face. Dude. I've been COVID tested
- 0:54Speaker 1: more than I Listen, man, you can't tell me to
- 0:57Speaker 1: test starn't out there. I'm getting tested like crazy. Yeah,
- 1:02Speaker 1: And do you feel it is your anxiety lower? Because
- 1:05Speaker 1: when I was doing my directing, Hi, oh see, I
- 1:08Speaker 1: had the opposite when I was getting tested, like, not
- 1:11Speaker 1: only would we for the for the job I did,
- 1:13Speaker 1: we'd have like the we'd have the longer test it
- 1:16Speaker 1: takes like two days, and then every morning we had
- 1:18Speaker 1: a fifteen minute test. Those aren't as reliable, but it
- 1:22Speaker 1: was just kind of like a safeguard, and I felt
- 1:26Speaker 1: great knowing at least I was finding out every day
- 1:29Speaker 1: a strong percentage of a chance that I was that
- 1:32Speaker 1: I didn't have it. Well, I don't know if I'm
- 1:34Speaker 1: allowed to say how we do our testing thing. I'm not.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You haven't even you haven't even mentioned the show. You
- 1:40Speaker 1: can just perfect every two days you get tested, even
- 1:46Speaker 1: if you're not working. Yeah, well that's great. It's the
- 1:49Speaker 1: only way you can operate. And by the way, none
- 1:50Speaker 1: of that's going to be able to operate very long.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I mean, if you look at the trajectory of what's
- 1:53Speaker 1: happening here in Los Angeles, it's just I mean, they're
- 1:55Speaker 1: gonna do they have to do a full shutdown. I'm sorry,
- 1:58Speaker 1: I know, I know that that's bad news, but this
- 2:00Speaker 1: like this fucking ridiculous mixed message of all right, we're
- 2:05Speaker 1: cutting on restaurants. Restaurants are closed except for delivery, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: the mall is still open, Like there's so much the
- 2:11Speaker 1: way it's like the way I understand and respect they're
- 2:15Speaker 1: trying to save businesses. But it's just it's beyond the
- 2:20Speaker 1: rate is the hospital beds are running out, So it's
- 2:22Speaker 1: just I'm sure we're destined for a full lockdown. It's
- 2:26Speaker 1: a horrible thing. Man. I I don't know how you.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I don't know how you combat this. I don't know
- 2:31Speaker 1: how you fight this fight right now, man, it's the
- 2:35Speaker 1: mixed messaging, the freaking well. The best thing you can
- 2:38Speaker 1: do is not leave your fucking house unless you have to.
- 2:42Speaker 1: That's that's the most active. The most proactive thing you
- 2:44Speaker 1: can do is not fucking leave your house unless you
- 2:47Speaker 1: have to. You can, you know, if you have to
- 2:50Speaker 1: go to the grocery store, you have to go to
- 2:51Speaker 1: the grocery store. You can also have them delivered if
- 2:53Speaker 1: you if you want, But don't fucking leave your house.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I know you have a job, but at least when
- 2:57Speaker 1: you go to your job, you've been tested. Everyone's been tested.
- 3:02Speaker 1: That ship's crazy. Just to watch everybody say and roll
- 3:06Speaker 1: sound and all the masks come off for all the
- 3:09Speaker 1: actors in background, it's like, WHOA, I feel naked, feel naked.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I know it's bar right, It's it's like your breathing
- 3:17Speaker 1: air that you shouldn't be breathing. Also also, yeah, fucking
- 3:21Speaker 1: hell yeah, I know I saw it for you know
- 3:22Speaker 1: when we did did My Thing. Um, it was just
- 3:25Speaker 1: one actress, a wonderful famous actress that I can't say
- 3:29Speaker 1: who it is yet, but she it was like it
- 3:32Speaker 1: was like protect the Queen Bee because she's the only
- 3:34Speaker 1: person when they call rolling that takes off her mask.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So everyone steps away. Everyone's got both a mask and
- 3:41Speaker 1: a face shield and a shield, and which I don't get.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I don't get the shield. Man. I understand you want
- 3:47Speaker 1: to stop stuff, but the ship can. The arisol comes
- 3:50Speaker 1: around the shield. It's not like it's just a straight
- 3:52Speaker 1: shot that shit goes everywhere. Well, it's better than nothing.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It's like multiple layers of plexon. If you were protecting
- 4:00Speaker 1: your castle, you might you might just hit the moat.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You might just have my door. You'd throw fucking crocs
- 4:07Speaker 1: in the moat. I would have fucking crocs in my moat.
- 4:09Speaker 1: The shield also protects you from rubbing your eyes, which
- 4:12Speaker 1: is the way a lot of people contracted. Keeping your
- 4:13Speaker 1: hands off of your face is like a big that's great.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You know what I like, I want to fucking Mandalorian mask.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I want a true life Mandalorian mask that can freaking
- 4:27Speaker 1: block out all of that shit. That's what reason you
- 4:29Speaker 1: can't be wearing. You could wear your Mandalorian masks. Wear it.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I saw it doesn't. It doesn't. It doesn't, it doesn't.
- 4:37Speaker 1: It doesn't block out the aerosol like the real Mandalorian mask.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Speaking of Mandalorian, Zach, you have an apology to make
- 4:45Speaker 1: to everybody out there might have watched. I didn't watch
- 4:48Speaker 1: the latest, and um, I am sorry, but I was
- 4:52Speaker 1: I had to do something. I haven't seen them. Did
- 4:54Speaker 1: you did you see the Did you see the one
- 4:55Speaker 1: with Rosario? I saw the one with Rosario? Yeah. Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 1: you have an apology you to make to all of
- 5:00Speaker 1: these people out there. He said this series this listen
- 5:03Speaker 1: for everybody out there. He's not gonna apologize because he
- 5:06Speaker 1: probably still thinks it's whatever it is. But i'mna saying
- 5:09Speaker 1: something right now. Whoa. I hope they unlatched Mama's whoa. Listen.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I think it's a wonderful show. Did
- 5:19Speaker 1: you watch the undoing? I haven't seen the finale, but
- 5:22Speaker 1: I love it. People. It's it's really I mean, I
- 5:28Speaker 1: don't want to say it's great because it's shy of
- 5:31Speaker 1: being great, but it's very entertaining. So Nicole Kidman will
- 5:35Speaker 1: play the hell out of like a betrayed wife. Like
- 5:38Speaker 1: her facial expressience. I want to live inside of them.
- 5:41Speaker 1: It's so good, it's very entertaining. The other thing you
- 5:43Speaker 1: gotta watch, I highly recommend Donald maybe even you'll watch
- 5:46Speaker 1: this is the Heavens Gate documentary, which is about that
- 5:50Speaker 1: cult that did the mass suicide. I don't know if
- 5:52Speaker 1: you remember them. They aliens coming in, yes, the hail
- 5:56Speaker 1: Bob comment, and they took barbiturous and did I think
- 6:01Speaker 1: thirty something of them killed themselves because they believed they
- 6:04Speaker 1: were getting on a spaceship that was trailing behind the
- 6:07Speaker 1: Hillbop comet that was going to come pick them up.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And it's still still to date. This is the largest
- 6:13Speaker 1: mass US suicide ever. But it's fascinating. Yeah, you know,
- 6:19Speaker 1: the power the power of manipulation. Man, Listen, this guy
- 6:25Speaker 1: told his followers that listen to this, I'm gonna spoil
- 6:28Speaker 1: one store for you. He goes, He's like, I think
- 6:31Speaker 1: maybe because they were just they were supposed to be asexual,
- 6:33Speaker 1: they were supposed to be like monks. He's like, I
- 6:35Speaker 1: think we should. Maybe I'm having some feelings, he said,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and I think we should probably castrate ourselves. Now, hospitals
- 6:42Speaker 1: aren't gonna let us do this, so we should probably
- 6:44Speaker 1: do it here. And they're like, okay, yes, yes, leader, yes,
- 6:49Speaker 1: a leader, all right. So then he goes, now, I
- 6:51Speaker 1: don't want to get in trouble for this, So he
- 6:53Speaker 1: writes a sign in handwritten letters above the door of
- 6:55Speaker 1: the room where they're gonna do it, and he writes
- 6:57Speaker 1: the word Mexico. He goes, now, if anyone tells you
- 7:00Speaker 1: where you got castrated, you got castrated in Mexico. Okay.
- 7:04Speaker 1: So they bring the first guy in to cut off
- 7:07Speaker 1: his scrotum, and as you can imagine, it goes horribly
- 7:11Speaker 1: wrong and they get the ball sack off, but the
- 7:14Speaker 1: dude is screaming in pain and and and his whole
- 7:18Speaker 1: groin starts to blow up like so big, so they
- 7:22Speaker 1: start panic. They show it, no because it wasn't videoed,
- 7:26Speaker 1: but they they're all telling these stories, all these people
- 7:29Speaker 1: that are still alive, people that didn't actually go through
- 7:31Speaker 1: with the suicide. So they call a priest because they
- 7:34Speaker 1: think a priest will help them, like because maybe the
- 7:37Speaker 1: priest understands their their desire to be castrated, and the
- 7:41Speaker 1: priest is like, what the fuck are you talking about?
- 7:42Speaker 1: In a way, and then they go okay, finally they
- 7:45Speaker 1: give up. They got to go to the emergence room.
- 7:46Speaker 1: They take an the emergency room and they run away,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but they still have the ball sack and they're hand
- 7:50Speaker 1: and they're like, what do we do with this ball sack?
- 7:53Speaker 1: So they throw it off a bridge. Oh wow, they
- 7:56Speaker 1: threw the ball sack off a bridge into a river.
- 8:00Speaker 1: You were going to say something way more climactic, like,
- 8:02Speaker 1: so they ate the ball Heaven's Gate, guys, I highly
- 8:09Speaker 1: recommend it. I'm very interested in cults, I mean, not
- 8:13Speaker 1: to join one, in studying them. I find them fascinating.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So let me get this straight. Yeah, they threw the
- 8:19Speaker 1: scroll them off a bridge. Go ahead, let me get
- 8:21Speaker 1: this straight. Isn't there a line that all of a sudden,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you know, because nobody wants to be judged, right, So
- 8:28Speaker 1: you'd have to be able to go into this without
- 8:31Speaker 1: judgment to be able to study cults. Like, let's say
- 8:34Speaker 1: you were able to do something like that, to be
- 8:36Speaker 1: able to go in and be a documentarian and study cults.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Don't you think at some point some of the message
- 8:44Speaker 1: starts to seep in. Though. It's very interesting. You know,
- 8:48Speaker 1: something I learned from watching this documentary is you might think, oh,
- 8:51Speaker 1: these people are simpletons who who've had who've been brainwashed
- 8:54Speaker 1: and had their mind taken over. And they have obviously
- 8:58Speaker 1: in the documentary interview lots of cult specialist and they
- 9:01Speaker 1: say they're very often very intelligent people. Um um. You know,
- 9:06Speaker 1: in fact, in this in this cult, they a lot
- 9:08Speaker 1: of them were computed. This was early in the eighties
- 9:11Speaker 1: of computers, and they were like computer geniuses. And the
- 9:13Speaker 1: way they actually funded the cult was from doing the
- 9:16Speaker 1: computer work for people because they were very very smart
- 9:19Speaker 1: men and women. Um. So, I don't know, it's a
- 9:24Speaker 1: certain type of person that is susceptible to it. I
- 9:26Speaker 1: don't think just anyone and everyone is susceptible to having
- 9:29Speaker 1: their brains sort of taken over by another human being.
- 9:33Speaker 1: But as you see from all these cults from you know,
- 9:36Speaker 1: from you name it, from Manson to Waco to Hail
- 9:39Speaker 1: up to lots of them, they're people um becomes so
- 9:46Speaker 1: they think they think that the leader is the Messiah,
- 9:50Speaker 1: and they don't want them. They don't want to upset
- 9:52Speaker 1: the Messiah. They want to do whatever the Messiah says.
- 9:57Speaker 1: It sounds like my marriage. But how was your marriage?
- 10:01Speaker 1: You guys getting along? I love my wife. We got
- 10:04Speaker 1: some good stuff going on. Man, it's real nice right now.
- 10:08Speaker 1: While you heard something, I just heard it from her.
- 10:10Speaker 1: That happy kidding. I know your wife's the most in
- 10:14Speaker 1: loved woman. I know we're kissing again. I'll tell you
- 10:17Speaker 1: that much. Oh will you stopped kissing for a while? Well,
- 10:22Speaker 1: you know, you get sick of each other. That's life,
- 10:25Speaker 1: that's how it goes. Yes, you know we're in each
- 10:29Speaker 1: other's face. You know, for all of you out there
- 10:33Speaker 1: who have relationships and you love your relationships, you know
- 10:36Speaker 1: exactly what the fuck I'm talking about right now. There's
- 10:39Speaker 1: times we look at each other. They're still loved there,
- 10:41Speaker 1: but it's like, I don't necessarily want to talk to
- 10:45Speaker 1: you right now. Do you ever get scared? Like? Did
- 10:48Speaker 1: you ever get scared when you're when you're angry? And
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm asking you the listener as well, even though you
- 10:54Speaker 1: can't answer only these three ken, do you ever get
- 10:57Speaker 1: scared like? I fucking am so pissed it this person
- 11:00Speaker 1: right now? I don't fucking see how we're ever gonna
- 11:03Speaker 1: make it the long haul. No, I don't. I threatened
- 11:09Speaker 1: that shit, Like, oh hell yeah, man, what do you
- 11:17Speaker 1: say like like, I'll be like, well, if you think
- 11:19Speaker 1: that way, then I don't see how we're gonna make
- 11:21Speaker 1: it the long haul? Exactly what manipulative? Absolutely, it's the
- 11:26Speaker 1: way to get it's the way to get what you want. Absolutely,
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'll admit to that and channel how about you. Right,
- 11:31Speaker 1: we're gonna do that right when I I'm sorry to
- 11:33Speaker 1: cut you off, and then you can get the dinner.
- 11:35Speaker 1: But right when I do that, I can I sense
- 11:38Speaker 1: my wife notice, Oh he's that hurt that he's gonna
- 11:42Speaker 1: throw out he doesn't think we should be What does
- 11:45Speaker 1: she say to that? Does she like, well, then go then, motherfucker?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Sometimes and then and then sometimes and I'll be like, fine,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'll go and I'll go up to the bedroom and
- 11:55Speaker 1: I'll sit in the bed, and then she'll come up
- 11:57Speaker 1: in there and she'll be like, and then she'll sit
- 11:59Speaker 1: on the bed. And that's all I've ever wanted, That's
- 12:01Speaker 1: all I wanted in the first place, was us to
- 12:03Speaker 1: be in the bed together. And so now we're sitting
- 12:05Speaker 1: and we're talking in the bed and she's you know
- 12:08Speaker 1: what I mean, and she's and she's, you know, telling
- 12:12Speaker 1: me how much she loves me, and I'm telling her
- 12:14Speaker 1: how much I love her. But now we're communicating even
- 12:16Speaker 1: more and listening even more. So you just need to
- 12:19Speaker 1: blow off some steam and then you so it sounds
- 12:22Speaker 1: like you guys at least, even though you, of course
- 12:24Speaker 1: are human and blow up, you you you are able
- 12:27Speaker 1: to not get a bit angry and talk it out. No,
- 12:31Speaker 1: there's times we go to No, there's time. Listen. Now
- 12:35Speaker 1: I'm at the we're at the point now where it's like, look,
- 12:39Speaker 1: there's there. We know what it is that the other
- 12:42Speaker 1: person can do to make it so that this is over.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Just don't touch those things. Everything else we can. I'm
- 12:49Speaker 1: willing to work through, and you're willing to work through.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So you know, if you're angry now, we're going to
- 12:55Speaker 1: talk about this tomorrow. This isn't something that can get buried,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you know what I mean. And so I'm because that's bullshit,
- 13:03Speaker 1: going to bed not angry. You gotta stay up until
- 13:05Speaker 1: like you're gonna have a nervous breakdown. You'll be freaking
- 13:08Speaker 1: what's the dude's name? Sometimes you'll be that dude. Man,
- 13:12Speaker 1: sometimes you need time out and just like, why don't
- 13:14Speaker 1: we sleep for eight hours starting game? Right? We just
- 13:22Speaker 1: what about you? Channel? Um? I think we're kind of
- 13:24Speaker 1: still figuring out what those boundaries are, figuring out what
- 13:27Speaker 1: those things we are, you know, because you're relatively new,
- 13:30Speaker 1: you're only two years ten months. But thank you. I
- 13:33Speaker 1: appreciate that. Sorry, what's going on with your background? Man?
- 13:38Speaker 1: You're tool time in it? Oh yeah, this is my
- 13:41Speaker 1: work bench. He always has tools, bro, the work bench
- 13:44Speaker 1: where build computers. That's where he builds computers. Bro, I've
- 13:47Speaker 1: never noticed that work Prince. Well, I also got a
- 13:50Speaker 1: new camera, so it probably you can probably see all
- 13:52Speaker 1: that more clearly. And also, yeah, apologized suddenly lunch and whatnot. Oh,
- 13:56Speaker 1: everybody's upgrading. Look at that Joel upgraded. She's now she's
- 14:00Speaker 1: no longer making our our group chats green anymore. Text
- 14:05Speaker 1: from computer Wow. Oh yeah, oh yes, I didn't know
- 14:08Speaker 1: what you're talking about. Joel has an Apple phone, guys,
- 14:11Speaker 1: and so our our group chat is finally sacred again
- 14:15Speaker 1: and full blue. I don't I know that some of
- 14:19Speaker 1: you are so passionate about your Android phones, and I
- 14:22Speaker 1: really don't give a fuck all I'm saying, I don't.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I don't want the chat to go green, all right.
- 14:28Speaker 1: I don't use my phone for all the shit you
- 14:30Speaker 1: probably do. I like to take pictures and I like
- 14:33Speaker 1: to send texts, and I like my text to go blue.
- 14:37Speaker 1: All right, all right, Tim Apple, put me in the
- 14:40Speaker 1: put me in the campaign, Tim Apple, we should get
- 14:45Speaker 1: into the show man. Yeah, yeah, sorry, why don't you
- 14:47Speaker 1: kind of send baby girl? All right? Now, this is
- 14:50Speaker 1: for all my listeners out there. Yeah, make it make
- 14:52Speaker 1: it like an RB, make it like an R and
- 14:54Speaker 1: B style, Yeah, Daniel danil will lay down a little
- 14:57Speaker 1: like R and B style thing underneath. Okay, I had sometimes,
- 15:01Speaker 1: you know, talking sometimes sometimes just sad. Sometimes you're happy
- 15:06Speaker 1: sometimes Johannes, sometimes you're not. But when it comes to
- 15:10Speaker 1: fake doctor's real friends, you always got a six seven
- 15:14Speaker 1: eight stories about show we made about a bunch of
- 15:20Speaker 1: doctor nurses, and stories never sat around here, are yet
- 15:31Speaker 1: around here? M I missed you, I missed you all.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I missed you guys truously. Actually it's a it's a
- 15:45Speaker 1: it's a weird time and and you listeners, we missed
- 15:47Speaker 1: you so much. Fucking amazing reaction to John Doris. He
- 15:50Speaker 1: was a hit, was he? Oh? He was a huge hit.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I was screenshotting all of these responses to people wrote
- 15:58Speaker 1: to him and sending him to Bill solely piss Bill off,
- 16:01Speaker 1: because a lot of people were like, that's the best
- 16:03Speaker 1: guests you've ever had, And then other people were like, seriously,
- 16:05Speaker 1: that may have been the best show ever. Who needs
- 16:07Speaker 1: Bill anymore? And they're obviously joking, but I just sent
- 16:10Speaker 1: them all the Bill just to rile them up. It
- 16:12Speaker 1: was amazing, love it. How did Bill take it? Well?
- 16:15Speaker 1: He was He was like, this is not funny at all,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and Clarius no. But people really loved it and it
- 16:22Speaker 1: made um. You know, the four of us have been
- 16:24Speaker 1: talking and we were talking about, you know, folding in
- 16:28Speaker 1: some shows that aren't just an episode that the person
- 16:31Speaker 1: might be related to scrubs, like like John, or they
- 16:35Speaker 1: might be not they might be just an interesting person.
- 16:37Speaker 1: So we're gonna start folding in some of those shows
- 16:40Speaker 1: as well, right right a day Shoon? Yeah, you almost
- 16:45Speaker 1: said it, right, Dal Shoon, Dal Shoon. You know you're
- 16:50Speaker 1: dona get into shoon. You're giving me a complex such
- 16:55Speaker 1: that I'm just gonna say shoon and not go for
- 16:56Speaker 1: the whole name because now I'm like starting to get
- 16:58Speaker 1: in my head about it. It's all good, don't trip um.
- 17:01Speaker 1: But yeah, so we're gonna fold in some of those
- 17:04Speaker 1: um and like that. You know, we should also talk
- 17:06Speaker 1: about the onesies. I can't believe the ones he's sold
- 17:08Speaker 1: out in a day. You know, I told you, when
- 17:13Speaker 1: you make them comfy, there's something about that man. Snugly
- 17:17Speaker 1: and cozy is a great thing. And you know, there's
- 17:21Speaker 1: nothing like having your and my face yeah on someone's body. Yeah,
- 17:27Speaker 1: you know, it's just it's just something that's all over
- 17:29Speaker 1: your body. Whatever your favorite wherever your favorite area of
- 17:33Speaker 1: your body is, whether it's inner thigh or back of
- 17:36Speaker 1: your neck, you can have me and Donald on it.
- 17:39Speaker 1: From your taint to your throat and everything in between,
- 17:44Speaker 1: from your toes to your taint to your throat. That's
- 17:47Speaker 1: a that'd be a good let's be a good sales
- 17:50Speaker 1: motto for the for the onesie from covering you with
- 17:55Speaker 1: Zach and Donald from the toe to the taint to
- 17:57Speaker 1: the throat. By the way, it was very fun the
- 18:08Speaker 1: word tank from the to You don't want the word tane.
- 18:11Speaker 1: It's a great word. Okay, I guess that's a node.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You probably also hate the word moist. Everyone hates the
- 18:17Speaker 1: word moist. I mind moist? What about big cake? What
- 18:23Speaker 1: about panties? It doesn't bother me much? Okay what panties
- 18:28Speaker 1: a bothers people? No? Yeah, I feel like panties and
- 18:31Speaker 1: moist are popular ones that make women cringe. Sorry, jell Okay,
- 18:40Speaker 1: what word makes you guys cringe? Is there all? No,
- 18:44Speaker 1: there's no word that makes me cringe. The chalk the
- 18:46Speaker 1: chalkboard sound that. Yes, you know. The scariest part of
- 18:52Speaker 1: Jaws is when that motherfucker does his nails on the chalkboard.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I just recently watched Jaws, and I was only only
- 19:00Speaker 1: frightened when the chalkboard thing happened. I can't do that
- 19:03Speaker 1: make my teeth hurt to think. Masterpiece of a movie
- 19:05Speaker 1: still though, man, yes, still it is still to this
- 19:09Speaker 1: day it is a masterpiece. It is a masterpiece. Mister
- 19:13Speaker 1: Spielberg and um and Donald and I did a charity
- 19:16Speaker 1: reading of the Goonies, which was a lot of fun.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Speaking of Spielberg, it was all to benefit the organization
- 19:22Speaker 1: No Kid Hungry, which you can still donate if you're
- 19:25Speaker 1: feeling like you can, and you are able. Um, it's
- 19:29Speaker 1: a wonderful cause that is raising money m so for
- 19:33Speaker 1: child hunger in the United States. I know that we
- 19:36Speaker 1: raised a hundred thousand dollars one thirty the night of
- 19:42Speaker 1: Right Let's go. That is over a million meals. Yeah, wow,
- 19:49Speaker 1: for hungry children in this country. And as we all know,
- 19:52Speaker 1: because of the pandemic, um, there are so many people
- 19:56Speaker 1: anxious about where they're going to get their next meal.
- 19:58Speaker 1: And if you have even a buck, even a spare dollar,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you go to No Kid Hungry dot org and you
- 20:05Speaker 1: can donate. And and so we did this reading and
- 20:07Speaker 1: it was a lot of fun because Donald and I
- 20:09Speaker 1: both grew up loving the Goonies and um, and there
- 20:12Speaker 1: we are. You know. They asked me and Donald and
- 20:14Speaker 1: Josh Gadd and Kristen Bell and Jean smart Um to
- 20:17Speaker 1: read all the roles that weren't you know, the original cast,
- 20:20Speaker 1: and Kerry Elwiz did the narration, and um, if Donald
- 20:26Speaker 1: and I were like just kids in a candy store,
- 20:27Speaker 1: I mean just watching them read. The funniest part of
- 20:29Speaker 1: all was for me was watching So it's time for
- 20:32Speaker 1: Sean Aston and do the monologue where he's in the
- 20:34Speaker 1: wishing well and He's like, it's our time, down here,
- 20:37Speaker 1: down here, it's our time. And I'm looking over at
- 20:39Speaker 1: donald zoom window and He's mouthing along all every single
- 20:42Speaker 1: word the monologue, Like, Donald, Donald, you have that script
- 20:46Speaker 1: memorize because I hadn't seen it since for so long,
- 20:50Speaker 1: but I loved loved it as a child, and I'm
- 20:52Speaker 1: looking over. I was more entertained watching Donald maud along
- 20:56Speaker 1: every word of the script than watching Oh. Is that
- 20:59Speaker 1: you know was messed up? Is that a lot of
- 21:01Speaker 1: them didn't do it like they did it in the movie,
- 21:03Speaker 1: and that we're trying to have like a new take.
- 21:05Speaker 1: They were like at forty five, I'm gonna do a
- 21:08Speaker 1: new take of them. Oh that's cracked me up. Though
- 21:12Speaker 1: I was like, come on, man, do it like the
- 21:14Speaker 1: movie because I'm I'm sitting there trying to hit every
- 21:16Speaker 1: beat like the movie and every right. But it was
- 21:18Speaker 1: so did I do a good job on my lines
- 21:20Speaker 1: with you? Remember when the father rips up the note
- 21:23Speaker 1: that was me not now or ever again? Oh man?
- 21:32Speaker 1: It was Donald with Donald were on the rehearsal and
- 21:35Speaker 1: Donald's like, um, guys, this was hilarious. The whole cast.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Donald knows the script bear than the cast, and Donald's like, guys, um,
- 21:40Speaker 1: you're actually missing a line here. I'm not sure if
- 21:42Speaker 1: it was improv by the actor at the time, but
- 21:44Speaker 1: do you want me to say X y Z. And
- 21:45Speaker 1: they were like, oh yeah, sure, Donald, go ahead them
- 21:48Speaker 1: say that. But they were cool, right, Corey was amazing, Roland,
- 21:56Speaker 1: Josh Broland, um and uh and they were all Martha Martha. Yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 1: Martha Plimpton read it just like her character did. Martha
- 22:09Speaker 1: Plimpton m was funny because she said something about how
- 22:14Speaker 1: she said, at a certain point in the shoot, I
- 22:17Speaker 1: just stopped competing for the lens, meaning like all those
- 22:20Speaker 1: little kids were such hams. They were all they all
- 22:22Speaker 1: knew they were trying to get their screen time. Because
- 22:24Speaker 1: She's like, at a certain point, I kind of just
- 22:26Speaker 1: relaxed and stopped fighting for the lens. And I thought
- 22:29Speaker 1: that was funny. Though this many years later, she remembers
- 22:31Speaker 1: that I forgot about this line. This is what I
- 22:34Speaker 1: was gonna say. I forgot about this line in the movie.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And then she did it, and she did it exactly
- 22:38Speaker 1: like the movie. Um brand God put that rock there
- 22:42Speaker 1: for UMU purpose, and I don't think um that you
- 22:47Speaker 1: should move it and then he moves it. He goes hello,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and then the bats come out, and she said it
- 22:54Speaker 1: just like the when she did it in the movie,
- 22:56Speaker 1: and it was I remember, I remember thinking, wow, that
- 22:59Speaker 1: was really interesting. She had a lot of ms in there.
- 23:02Speaker 1: And then you look at the script and m is
- 23:06Speaker 1: at every moment like that was what was really weird.
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't know, well, some of the things that I
- 23:11Speaker 1: was like, well, because some of the things that happened
- 23:14Speaker 1: in the movie, like when he drops the picture in
- 23:16Speaker 1: the closet and then he goes, what are you doing
- 23:19Speaker 1: after he dropped the picture, All of that shit's in
- 23:22Speaker 1: the script. It was all in the script. No, I think.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I think, I know for a fact, you weren't a
- 23:27Speaker 1: rehearsal because you were working. They What they did was
- 23:31Speaker 1: they made a hybrid production draft because what happened, what
- 23:35Speaker 1: what the movie became, was very much different from the script.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I mean, they went off in a lot of different
- 23:40Speaker 1: tangents that cut a bunch of stuff. The Kid's improv
- 23:43Speaker 1: of course, so in order to deliver a reading of
- 23:47Speaker 1: the Goonies for the audience that knows the script, they
- 23:49Speaker 1: had to adjust the script to reflect the movie. So
- 23:53Speaker 1: a lot of stuff like that got got put in.
- 23:56Speaker 1: There's a really funny moment at the end where where
- 23:58Speaker 1: Key the young Asian kids says, um, oh, you wouldn't
- 24:04Speaker 1: believe it. There was an octopus and there's never an
- 24:06Speaker 1: octopus in the movie because they had shot a scene
- 24:09Speaker 1: with an octopus and cut it out and for some
- 24:12Speaker 1: reason the Dick donn or the director left it in.
- 24:15Speaker 1: But you can actually see if you're curious, you can
- 24:18Speaker 1: go find all sorts of wacky Goonies cut scenes, like
- 24:22Speaker 1: the octopus dancing. I'm glad they cut that part out. Yeah,
- 24:25Speaker 1: it's really weird. It's out of it's so out of
- 24:27Speaker 1: the tone of the movie. Yeah, all right, should we
- 24:30Speaker 1: talk about scrubs? We should? We should very very good,
- 24:34Speaker 1: but were we stop? I just want to shout out
- 24:36Speaker 1: Pantara Sarah, who we've both known since pretty much we've
- 24:39Speaker 1: moved to Los Angeles. Yeah, for making it so that
- 24:43Speaker 1: we could be a part of the Goonies reader, So yeah,
- 24:47Speaker 1: thank you, and also and also allowing us to be
- 24:50Speaker 1: a part of such an awesome charity like No Kid Hungry,
- 24:53Speaker 1: because um, it felt like we were it was win win.
- 24:57Speaker 1: We got to act like fools with our childhood heroes,
- 24:59Speaker 1: and he got to raise money for a no kid
- 25:01Speaker 1: Hungry dot org. Let's take a break. We'll be right
- 25:04Speaker 1: back after these fine words. I laughed a lot on
- 25:13Speaker 1: this episode. And there's a lot of firsts in Scrubs,
- 25:17Speaker 1: like not only not only a lot of first but
- 25:19Speaker 1: like a lot of memes also in this episode. Yeah, um,
- 25:24Speaker 1: most famously the first appearance of the world's most giant doctor. Yes,
- 25:30Speaker 1: and you knew there was actually a real giant doctor? Yeah, chet,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I forgot about it. I remember chat. Yeah, you never
- 25:36Speaker 1: see his head because he's so tall. Are you ready
- 25:39Speaker 1: with your recap? Everyone's favorite recap of anything ever? Do
- 25:45Speaker 1: you know that there's a fella on the interwebs m
- 25:48Speaker 1: who is graphing how close you were to thirty seconds?
- 25:52Speaker 1: I saw that? Yeah, I saw that. I like that.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I'm telling you they should bet in Vegas. This should
- 25:57Speaker 1: be a Vegas This should be a Vegas thing. All right?
- 26:00Speaker 1: How close do I get to thirty? Are you readyady?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Are you marks? Contect? Go? JD wants to break up
- 26:07Speaker 1: with Danny. Doctor Cox can't get over how happy he is.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Elliot's bullied for wanting to look good and Todd practices
- 26:13Speaker 1: sex on a CPR dummy. Some people love to work
- 26:17Speaker 1: and or live in chaos, and I get it. Being
- 26:20Speaker 1: able to function when the world is loud and crazy
- 26:23Speaker 1: as an attribute not many possessed from the jump. As
- 26:26Speaker 1: you grow older, you learn to cope. The crazy thing
- 26:29Speaker 1: is we go so hard, we become so used to
- 26:31Speaker 1: the chaos, we then crave it. It fuels us. We're
- 26:35Speaker 1: at our best when our backs are against the wall.
- 26:38Speaker 1: The key is balanced, and I've yet to find it. Wow,
- 26:43Speaker 1: that was thirty seven. That's your sweet spot, very nicely
- 26:47Speaker 1: said Donald balance. I don't know if we ever find
- 26:50Speaker 1: balance until they shovel us into a hearse Do we
- 26:52Speaker 1: ever find balance? Maybe if you're like maybe if you're
- 26:55Speaker 1: like a yogi or a spiritual religious person whom who
- 27:00Speaker 1: who can get in touch with their inner peace? But
- 27:03Speaker 1: I feel like the rest of our lives we're going
- 27:05Speaker 1: to be vacillating between moments of peace and mayhem. But
- 27:09Speaker 1: how do you but how do you survive? You know?
- 27:11Speaker 1: How do stress kills? You know what I mean? But
- 27:14Speaker 1: the only way we survive, it seems like, is when
- 27:17Speaker 1: stress is on our back. You know, how do you
- 27:20Speaker 1: how do how do we how do we make it
- 27:23Speaker 1: in this world? How? How do I find my peace?
- 27:25Speaker 1: You know, I'm my best when my kids are loud
- 27:29Speaker 1: in my ear, when the when, when the rent is due,
- 27:33Speaker 1: you know when that's just how it is. That's when
- 27:35Speaker 1: I'm at my best. Right, So, how do you feel?
- 27:38Speaker 1: You feel if you got a lot of money in
- 27:40Speaker 1: the bank and your kids are being good and everything
- 27:44Speaker 1: is like you don't have any worries that you will
- 27:46Speaker 1: find an I will find another thing to stress about.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I promise you everybody something that I think. It's something
- 27:53Speaker 1: that I've been I don't think you know what. And
- 27:55Speaker 1: I my wife is uh the queen of it, but
- 27:59Speaker 1: I think I've been heroded it from her. She perceives stress,
- 28:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean. She's like yo, she finds
- 28:05Speaker 1: a way. But it motivates her to do things, you
- 28:08Speaker 1: know what I mean. It's what's she uses as fuel.
- 28:13Speaker 1: It sounds like it's saying what you do too, that's
- 28:15Speaker 1: what you do? Yeah, Well, I've become accustomed to it.
- 28:17Speaker 1: I like it, you know what I mean. It's it's
- 28:19Speaker 1: it really does work. It works very well. That I remember.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I used to dread the nervous energy that I would
- 28:26Speaker 1: get now, it's like, all right, I can use this,
- 28:28Speaker 1: use this as fuel, keep it going, just go as
- 28:29Speaker 1: hard as you can. It's crazy anyway, I think I
- 28:32Speaker 1: think a lot of people listening can relate. Also, in
- 28:35Speaker 1: our line of work, we're all technically freelance for the
- 28:39Speaker 1: most part, and so you're always having to hustle and
- 28:42Speaker 1: figure out what your next chest move is and there's
- 28:47Speaker 1: not a lot of security. You could get a job
- 28:51Speaker 1: and move to Jersey City like you did, or you
- 28:54Speaker 1: could get a job and an awesome job that's life changing,
- 28:58Speaker 1: but then you don't get another job for a while,
- 28:59Speaker 1: and um, you know that's that's a that's a stressful
- 29:02Speaker 1: way out and to operate. Yeah, and that's and it
- 29:06Speaker 1: seems like that's what Cox loves. For some reason. Cox
- 29:10Speaker 1: seems to love being unhappy, because that's really what we're saying.
- 29:15Speaker 1: When you're anxious and you're and you you're you know,
- 29:21Speaker 1: because it all it's exactly and here we go. I'm
- 29:25Speaker 1: sorry I did it already, but here's a Star Wars reference,
- 29:27Speaker 1: but it's exactly what Yoda says. Fear leads to anger,
- 29:30Speaker 1: Anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering. Maybe limit
- 29:34Speaker 1: the amount of jazz lettuce you have before the show,
- 29:36Speaker 1: because if you start getting oh really, you're really high
- 29:40Speaker 1: right now, I'm so baked. Anyway, Okay, well there you
- 29:44Speaker 1: have everyone. We're gonna cut all No, no, we're not out. Yeah. Yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 1: we don't have time to cut things today. We gotta
- 29:49Speaker 1: air this show tomorrow. Normally, ladies and gentlemen, we do
- 29:52Speaker 1: these shows a little bit before the air. But because
- 29:55Speaker 1: of all sorts of scheduling mayhem, we are recording this
- 29:58Speaker 1: today Monday, and you will hear it Tuesday morning. So
- 30:02Speaker 1: we can be so current, we can be so fresh.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm nervous. I'm gonna I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I think it might be some of the weed, but
- 30:10Speaker 1: I am nervous. Yes, well, maybe you should limit yourself
- 30:13Speaker 1: to how much we smoke before the show. We have
- 30:15Speaker 1: to entertain. You are not my mother. You are not
- 30:18Speaker 1: my mom. I'm just saying the world. My mom doesn't
- 30:20Speaker 1: tell me how much weed I smoke, either, so please stop. Okay.
- 30:24Speaker 1: So the show opens with j D grabbing some wax
- 30:28Speaker 1: off of turks beautifully waxed dome because he didn't have
- 30:32Speaker 1: a chance to put any products in his hair. That
- 30:35Speaker 1: was very funny. That was very funny. And then I
- 30:38Speaker 1: took a the lecture and put it on my lips
- 30:40Speaker 1: or the lips for the That was so stupid. This
- 30:46Speaker 1: episode was very silly, a lot of silly moments. The
- 30:49Speaker 1: fact that the fact I'm gonna jump ahead, but the
- 30:51Speaker 1: fact that Kelso's knocked out for that long too. Yeah,
- 30:56Speaker 1: everyone hates Kelso. So no one's helping him. He's just
- 31:00Speaker 1: lying there on the ground, on the ground, knocked out. Um.
- 31:03Speaker 1: You know with Scrubs episodes, you know, the tone can
- 31:07Speaker 1: can lean a certain direction depending on the mood everyone
- 31:11Speaker 1: was in that week in the writer's room. This is
- 31:14Speaker 1: a particularly silly episode. Oh my god, the Mighty Kite.
- 31:18Speaker 1: So so, this is really funny, mislead. So yeah, Jad
- 31:24Speaker 1: and I didn't catch this. I don't remember this, but
- 31:27Speaker 1: jd Um is trying is say hey. He says, hey,
- 31:30Speaker 1: you a doctor. This episode has a theme about doctors
- 31:33Speaker 1: and female doctors, whether or not they take the time
- 31:36Speaker 1: to make themselves look all dolled up or not. Elliott does, um,
- 31:40Speaker 1: some of the other doctors don't, and Jad turns to
- 31:42Speaker 1: a two that don't and says, hey, so and so
- 31:45Speaker 1: is it windy out? And she looks at him like,
- 31:48Speaker 1: you know, fuck you, what are you talking about? And
- 31:49Speaker 1: then he attempts to cover and they the writers sell
- 31:53Speaker 1: this like Jad's trying to cover Oh no, just because
- 31:55Speaker 1: I'm I wanna know if my kite team is practicing
- 32:00Speaker 1: today the mighty kites, Like I'm making it up, right,
- 32:04Speaker 1: But but the thing is, the young doctor comes in
- 32:08Speaker 1: so disheveled also that she's looked like she she looks
- 32:12Speaker 1: like she was in a windstorm. Right. But it's a
- 32:13Speaker 1: very funny mislead for later because then we learned that no,
- 32:17Speaker 1: JD was in bullshitting. He is, in fact very into
- 32:20Speaker 1: his kite club. That that only that consists of only
- 32:23Speaker 1: he and Turk. No, no, they're missing practice. There's people
- 32:26Speaker 1: outside flying kites. Is that what it is? I thought
- 32:29Speaker 1: that was. I thought they were just kites. Oh my god,
- 32:32Speaker 1: we're missing dude, the girl stone we go, do we go,
- 32:38Speaker 1: dud we go, we're missing practice, right, and then we
- 32:42Speaker 1: go mighty time right let thee Yeah. Yeah. So this
- 32:46Speaker 1: is the first appearance that j D and Turk are
- 32:48Speaker 1: in a Now it's funny that the kite club practices
- 32:52Speaker 1: in the parking lot of the hospital. It just doesn't
- 32:55Speaker 1: it just has right or or they don't have to
- 32:57Speaker 1: be doctors. They could be members of the janitorial staff.
- 33:00Speaker 1: We just know they probably work at the hospital. It's
- 33:02Speaker 1: a hospital kite flaring club. Um, this episode we upset Sarah. Um.
- 33:09Speaker 1: This is the this is Greace to Face episode. Yeah. Now,
- 33:14Speaker 1: now it's interesting because it really is um fact mirroring
- 33:18Speaker 1: fiction with what was what the story was about. The story,
- 33:21Speaker 1: as I said, was about and I'm assuming they took
- 33:24Speaker 1: this from from actual doctors because it's it seems like
- 33:27Speaker 1: a real thing. Some female doctors put time into to
- 33:31Speaker 1: try and look you know, makeup up and hair done,
- 33:34Speaker 1: and others don't. And Elliot is wrestling with the fact
- 33:37Speaker 1: that she wants to look good. We see that she
- 33:38Speaker 1: gets up at five in the morning and puts on
- 33:40Speaker 1: makeup and does her hair, and Kelse has had enough
- 33:43Speaker 1: of it. He says, the other doctors are gossiping about you.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I don't want this. You're not supposed to look like this,
- 33:47Speaker 1: and as a doctor, cut it out. Well. So the
- 33:51Speaker 1: gag is that Sarah's then supposed to come to the
- 33:53Speaker 1: classroom looking the polar opposite from all makeup up. She's
- 33:57Speaker 1: come she's supposed to look bad enough so that Todd
- 34:01Speaker 1: can say, hey, Elliott, is it greasy outside? And Sarah
- 34:08Speaker 1: kept coming back looking still stunning. She wasn't doing the
- 34:13Speaker 1: joke that was, you need to look shitty, Sarah. I
- 34:16Speaker 1: know it's Network TV and you don't want to look shitty,
- 34:18Speaker 1: but you got the joke doesn't work if you don't
- 34:20Speaker 1: come in looking like shit. Right. It's the funniest thing, man,
- 34:24Speaker 1: the makeup that's, you know, supposed to make you look
- 34:29Speaker 1: like you don't have makeup one, right, So Donald and
- 34:32Speaker 1: I Donald and I were trying to be funny and
- 34:35Speaker 1: um we were like, come on, grease your face. And
- 34:38Speaker 1: then we got the whole If you remember, that's a
- 34:40Speaker 1: classroom of like all the principles, and we got everyone
- 34:43Speaker 1: chanting grease stuff face, grease stuff face. Now, this many
- 34:50Speaker 1: years later, it's not surprising that Sarah didn't find that funny. No,
- 34:54Speaker 1: she broke She started crying when yeah, actually, yeah, we
- 34:57Speaker 1: had we had to apologize. We had to apologize. Yeah,
- 35:01Speaker 1: well yeah, come on, man, it was like midnight. It
- 35:05Speaker 1: was midnight listen. In our defense, we thought she was
- 35:09Speaker 1: laughing with us. She was not, and we It was
- 35:12Speaker 1: very late and we were all very silly, and we
- 35:14Speaker 1: thought we we we totally thought she was laughing with us.
- 35:17Speaker 1: We learned that she was not, and we promptly apologized
- 35:21Speaker 1: right away. We felt I felt horrible about it, but
- 35:24Speaker 1: that shit, but that shit's still funny to this day,
- 35:26Speaker 1: and she can, I hope she can laugh about it,
- 35:30Speaker 1: laugh about it now. But twenty years later I remember
- 35:33Speaker 1: stuff and Rob was like chanting with his arm in
- 35:37Speaker 1: the egg and hey, Elliott, greasy out. That's fine, And
- 35:48Speaker 1: then what's up, Doc, it's happening. Turk Yep, it's happening.
- 35:52Speaker 1: What's up, Doc? A lot of fucking big moments in
- 35:54Speaker 1: this episode. All right, let's go back to it in
- 35:57Speaker 1: some form of order. Um, so uncomfortable when someone, Oh,
- 36:03Speaker 1: I wanted to say that. You know, there's a couple
- 36:05Speaker 1: of moments where, like in the script, where they're cutting
- 36:08Speaker 1: to people who are supposed to look unattractive, And I
- 36:11Speaker 1: always find that so awkward as an actor when you're
- 36:14Speaker 1: doing a scene and it's like, all right, these are
- 36:16Speaker 1: the two people that have been brought in as the
- 36:18Speaker 1: cutaway too unattractive. I think they're getting paid, and I
- 36:23Speaker 1: think they're fine with it. I know, I know, but
- 36:27Speaker 1: but I always feel I'll tell I'll tell you the
- 36:30Speaker 1: truth when I'm when I'm directing, and that's the case
- 36:33Speaker 1: I'll say. I always say, because I feel weird about it.
- 36:38Speaker 1: We need to like mess you up and like so
- 36:41Speaker 1: you so so the joke works, Like we need to
- 36:43Speaker 1: make dress you slovenly and fuck up your hair and
- 36:46Speaker 1: quote unquote grease the face and like make you look
- 36:49Speaker 1: as unattractive as possible for the for the thing to work,
- 36:52Speaker 1: which is which is true. But also I want to
- 36:55Speaker 1: say it because I feel, I mean, I haven't done this.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I haven't done this. That's your own shit. They know
- 37:00Speaker 1: why they're there, they know what they're there to do.
- 37:03Speaker 1: They read the script when they got the job. They
- 37:05Speaker 1: knew exactly what it was so to do all of that,
- 37:08Speaker 1: it's just like saying, you got the job, but now
- 37:10Speaker 1: I'm gonna insult you and say and say you're not
- 37:14Speaker 1: ugly enough. You think that they're like you trying to
- 37:17Speaker 1: say I'm not ugly enough. No, I think I think
- 37:20Speaker 1: they're saying, you don't have to be so nice to me.
- 37:22Speaker 1: I know why I got the job. Don't rub the
- 37:24Speaker 1: shit in, Let's just shoot the motherfucking thing so I
- 37:27Speaker 1: can go home and cash this check and smoke that weed.
- 37:30Speaker 1: All right, all right, well you taught me something. I
- 37:33Speaker 1: will no longer tell them they need to grease the face.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Why is Danny walking around our apartment in a bra?
- 37:41Speaker 1: It makes no sense. I mean, it's a little bit ResQue. No,
- 37:44Speaker 1: but maybe she's so comfortable around turk and we're both doctors.
- 37:49Speaker 1: But I mean, dude, if I was living with you
- 37:50Speaker 1: and Casey and Casey was walking around in her bra,
- 37:53Speaker 1: You've seen Casey and her bra and underwear, you see.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I know, but I'm saying, let's say I was your roommate,
- 37:58Speaker 1: Casey probably wouldn't walking around the house in or bra.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I just thought it was funny that tarred h is
- 38:04Speaker 1: uh walking around in her sexy bra and my roommates
- 38:08Speaker 1: just like, okay, who we're making fun of? Married with children?
- 38:13Speaker 1: Isn't it funny? The sitcom convention that when people kissed,
- 38:18Speaker 1: they go, oh, that was only all married with children? No, No,
- 38:22Speaker 1: it was a lot of sitcoms where they go, oh, right.
- 38:26Speaker 1: But as as shows got old, as shows got hipper,
- 38:30Speaker 1: those went out the window. And I know, when we
- 38:33Speaker 1: when we did the sitcom spoof on Scrubs, we did
- 38:36Speaker 1: all that, made sure to do that. I loved it.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I loved married with Children for keeping that because that
- 38:41Speaker 1: it was it seemed like the audience was a part
- 38:44Speaker 1: of the show, which they are when you're watching a sitcom.
- 38:47Speaker 1: When you did your sitcoms, because you've done one or two, yeah, one,
- 38:51Speaker 1: I've done I've done one. Okay, when you when when
- 38:54Speaker 1: did you did the audience do ooze and oz yeah,
- 38:57Speaker 1: But then we you know, I'm working with Wayne and Kristen,
- 39:02Speaker 1: and then they're like, we don't want to we don't
- 39:03Speaker 1: want the us and nas. We just want the laughs,
- 39:05Speaker 1: the ouzon nas are you know. So the audience would
- 39:08Speaker 1: do it and they and they'd cut it out and
- 39:11Speaker 1: they'd be like no, no, no, no, no. I think
- 39:12Speaker 1: there's something about it. There's something about it. There's something
- 39:14Speaker 1: about a lot. I think when an audience they're so
- 39:17Speaker 1: conditioned like Pavlov's dogs, and they get into a sitcom
- 39:21Speaker 1: stage and a couple of kisses and they don't even
- 39:24Speaker 1: know they're doing it. They're just like, oh, And it's
- 39:28Speaker 1: always that obnoxian right that that Scooby Doo there's something
- 39:33Speaker 1: about being in a sitcom audience if you've never been that.
- 39:36Speaker 1: First of all, they crank the ac so it's cold,
- 39:38Speaker 1: and you're like all fucking high on unjust like the
- 39:42Speaker 1: energy of excitement. And they have a comedian come out
- 39:45Speaker 1: who warms you up and gets you all laughing at
- 39:48Speaker 1: the stupidest shit because they want you in a very
- 39:50Speaker 1: silly mood, and you just start laughing at things that
- 39:52Speaker 1: you would never likely laugh at if you saw the
- 39:54Speaker 1: sitcom on at home. But in the audience, they're all
- 39:57Speaker 1: hyped up. You're just cracking up at everything right, absolutely,
- 40:02Speaker 1: But the person that's in the audience is always great.
- 40:06Speaker 1: And if you're on the show, you watch the same
- 40:09Speaker 1: stick every week, but the new audience comes in and
- 40:13Speaker 1: they've never seen it. And it's really funny to why,
- 40:17Speaker 1: because it's like watching a stand up just work their
- 40:19Speaker 1: act and work their act and work their act, and
- 40:21Speaker 1: you see the same thing and sometimes it kills and
- 40:24Speaker 1: sometimes it doesn't. And as an actor doing your scenes
- 40:27Speaker 1: and everything, it's always sometimes it's really it's a cool
- 40:30Speaker 1: break to look out into the audience and see, you know,
- 40:34Speaker 1: another show going on, you know, while you're while you're
- 40:37Speaker 1: working on your craft. So's it's right. The whole sitcom,
- 40:41Speaker 1: the whole sitcome thing is a great experience you right, Zache,
- 40:44Speaker 1: if you come to America opens up again? Yeah? Please?
- 40:49Speaker 1: It is fun. I gotta say, even those sitcoms aren't.
- 40:51Speaker 1: There's not that many left anymore. If you're in um,
- 40:54Speaker 1: if you do come as a tourist to visit Hollywood,
- 40:56Speaker 1: it is a fun experience to have, just because they
- 40:58Speaker 1: probably won't be around for for forever, and uh, it's
- 41:02Speaker 1: pretty fun experience, I think. And you don't have to
- 41:04Speaker 1: stay the whole time. That was the great thing about
- 41:08Speaker 1: the Zoom thing. They were talking about it like it
- 41:11Speaker 1: was theater. I can't wait for theater to come back.
- 41:13Speaker 1: That's I'm missing that now, Like that's gonna be, that's
- 41:16Speaker 1: gonna be great, That'll be. That's magical, just to feel
- 41:18Speaker 1: the energy. I mean, I do worry about all those
- 41:22Speaker 1: people in one room, but for it to be back,
- 41:24Speaker 1: I can't wait. Well, twenty twenty two, okay, twenty twenty two,
- 41:27Speaker 1: we'll go see a play. No Well. JD said on
- 41:31Speaker 1: our show that he would feel he's not going to
- 41:33Speaker 1: feel comfortable being in a theater until twenty twenty two.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He was speaking about a movie theater, but I think
- 41:37Speaker 1: we can assume it goes for theater as well. So
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna go buy what real j D says. It's
- 41:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. Now, very funny when I imagine that
- 41:45Speaker 1: I'm a ghost and I land and I go you wait, oh,
- 41:50Speaker 1: I touch you and I go to reach for your bugles, right,
- 41:53Speaker 1: and then my ghost hand goes through your groin and
- 41:56Speaker 1: you go, quote your ghost hands. It's your ghost hands.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Is cool? Now? Now, this is a classic Scrubs moment
- 42:05Speaker 1: with Turk with the bugles on his fingers doing witch
- 42:08Speaker 1: hands right in the lens for some weird reason. I mean,
- 42:11Speaker 1: why are you breaking the fourth wall looking right into
- 42:13Speaker 1: the barrel? For this is what was asked to me,
- 42:15Speaker 1: and so it was done. It's only a handful of
- 42:18Speaker 1: moments directly into the lens, breaking the fourth wall, and
- 42:20Speaker 1: Turk looks right at the audience and does a scary
- 42:23Speaker 1: witch Yeah, straight up, straight up. That was I remember that,
- 42:26Speaker 1: and I've I've since had my son do that, and
- 42:29Speaker 1: he loved whenever bugles are in the house, he will
- 42:32Speaker 1: put them on the tips of I don't think I've
- 42:34Speaker 1: had a bugle in my presence since this joke really
- 42:38Speaker 1: why kids still love bugles? They're around every now and then.
- 42:42Speaker 1: You'll find some if you live in another country. You
- 42:44Speaker 1: know what they are from watching Scrubs. But it is
- 42:46Speaker 1: a derito like thing shaped like a bugle. Daniel Joel's
- 42:56Speaker 1: are you consumers of bugles in uh? In my weed
- 43:02Speaker 1: adult states? Most certainly otherwise weed adults. But yeah, bules
- 43:08Speaker 1: are good. Let's tick him on the fingers, you know, Yeah,
- 43:11Speaker 1: Daniel got on a dope shirt. You have no idea
- 43:13Speaker 1: what that shirt is, do you? It's so easy, it's
- 43:16Speaker 1: so I know, I know what I don't. Don't say anything. Wait,
- 43:18Speaker 1: hold on, do you know what it's from? No? Are
- 43:21Speaker 1: you asking me? Look it up? No? You're so easy
- 43:23Speaker 1: to fall in love, isn't that? It's a it's a
- 43:26Speaker 1: day day last, so so it goes. It's so easy,
- 43:32Speaker 1: it's so easy. It's so it's dope. One of the
- 43:37Speaker 1: I fell in love with this fish you got caught
- 43:39Speaker 1: in my mesh. Heyo, she burned my scene up like
- 43:42Speaker 1: David koresh I guess the dominate nutting. But a rock
- 43:45Speaker 1: with a name anyway, all right, we're gonna break before
- 43:48Speaker 1: we got a break, I want to tell you a
- 43:50Speaker 1: few tribute things from scrubs WICKI. Um, as we said,
- 43:53Speaker 1: this is the first appearance of World's most Giant doctor Yes.
- 43:58Speaker 1: According to the DVD commentary, the Elliot subplot of this
- 44:00Speaker 1: episode was spawned from the behind the scenes detail that
- 44:03Speaker 1: it was time consuming to always have Sarah Chalk so
- 44:06Speaker 1: heavily made up and groomed in every scene. And we
- 44:11Speaker 1: also learned that Laverne has worked at Sacred Heart for
- 44:14Speaker 1: twenty three years. That is the trivia for might clean.
- 44:18Speaker 1: We'll be right back, We'll be right back, and yeah, dude,
- 44:30Speaker 1: the janitor and Elliott in this episode is hilarious. Dude,
- 44:35Speaker 1: it's his first time calling her blonde doctor I think right,
- 44:38Speaker 1: or no, oh, I think he I think he called
- 44:39Speaker 1: her that before. But um, just just the fact that
- 44:44Speaker 1: you know, he cheers her up and picks her up
- 44:47Speaker 1: and gives her a ride actually on his uh in
- 44:53Speaker 1: his car, Yeah, to the morgue. Yeah. Um, yeah, he's
- 44:57Speaker 1: I think he's jumping with her, jumping definitely in love
- 45:00Speaker 1: with Yeah, he's definitely. But I think that's I think
- 45:03Speaker 1: that spawned from us thinking that Neil was in love
- 45:06Speaker 1: with uh, Sarah, And then do you think, Sarah, I
- 45:10Speaker 1: don't know. I don't I don't think he was, but
- 45:12Speaker 1: I thought, I don't know. Shoot, I don't know where
- 45:15Speaker 1: it came from, to be honest with you, But it's
- 45:16Speaker 1: such a it's such a great storyline between the two
- 45:22Speaker 1: of them. How much the janitor is obviously in love
- 45:26Speaker 1: with her and she's so freaking needs an ally at
- 45:29Speaker 1: the hospital. It just so happens to be the most
- 45:32Speaker 1: diabolical person in the hospital, but not to her. He
- 45:36Speaker 1: loves her and Kelso it's funny. It was a funny shot,
- 45:38Speaker 1: by the way, when Kelso Um is looking at Sarah
- 45:41Speaker 1: and telling you're not the world makeup and you see
- 45:43Speaker 1: the bangs in front of the lens Chris Cotch director,
- 45:48Speaker 1: good good, judge and um. And then we learned that
- 45:52Speaker 1: Kelso's son, this is one of the another thing we're
- 45:54Speaker 1: always learning about Kelso's son. We learned that he wears
- 45:56Speaker 1: makeup and shaves his quote fund Zone. Also Tyra Banks
- 46:03Speaker 1: and was it Heidi Klum, Yes, Yeah, elaborate hole, elaborate
- 46:08Speaker 1: plan for those two and j D and Turt where
- 46:12Speaker 1: Tyra Banks runs over Turk's mom in a car Turk
- 46:20Speaker 1: doesn't care necessarily about his mom because he's so happy
- 46:23Speaker 1: to be with Tyra Banks. Carla then asked, what about
- 46:27Speaker 1: your mom, and Turke says, JD, you tell her, and
- 46:38Speaker 1: then JD proceeds to tell her that what they're gonna
- 46:41Speaker 1: do is well, first of all, my mom doesn't die, Turst,
- 46:45Speaker 1: mom doesn't die. What they do is they take her
- 46:49Speaker 1: brain and they put it into Heidi Klum's body, and
- 46:55Speaker 1: she falls in love with JD and they live happily
- 46:58Speaker 1: ever after. And at first it's kind of weird because
- 47:00Speaker 1: it's my mom, right, But in the end I learned
- 47:04Speaker 1: to live with it. Yeah, bizarre, dude. I was like,
- 47:09Speaker 1: I'm so happy I smoked me to watch this episode
- 47:15Speaker 1: was so surreal. It's great. Like I'm telling you, this
- 47:18Speaker 1: is like, you know, you'll find episodes of Scrubs that
- 47:21Speaker 1: are not this stoner, weird, bizarre like, but this is
- 47:24Speaker 1: one of the ones that has a lot of very
- 47:26Speaker 1: silly things, really silly stuff. And that classroom it made
- 47:30Speaker 1: me what I remember we were shooting this, we were
- 47:32Speaker 1: doing this thing with the class and Cox is teaching
- 47:34Speaker 1: a class. I thought that was so funny. I wish
- 47:38Speaker 1: we had done more of that dynamic. It reminds me
- 47:40Speaker 1: of the Office to show the Office when they would
- 47:42Speaker 1: have the meetings in the in the room, there's always
- 47:45Speaker 1: so hysterical and this episode that those scenes we're all
- 47:50Speaker 1: talking over each other and bouncing back and forth with
- 47:52Speaker 1: the dialogue. I thought it was really funny and we
- 47:55Speaker 1: wish we had done it more. Ye shout out Johnny Castle,
- 47:58Speaker 1: shout out Johnny Castle. Was was hilarious. Who plays um Doug?
- 48:02Speaker 1: And first of all, I find it funny that the
- 48:05Speaker 1: Cox is teaching them something about a defibrillator, Like, I'm
- 48:08Speaker 1: pretty sure these guys know how to use a defibrillator.
- 48:11Speaker 1: At this point, I didn't understand what the club he
- 48:13Speaker 1: was like teaching them how to defibrillate a mannequin, Like
- 48:16Speaker 1: I think that's been covered in med school. I don't
- 48:20Speaker 1: you know, I don't you try to take CPR every year?
- 48:23Speaker 1: Like you forget it? Don't you like? Not if you're
- 48:26Speaker 1: a doctor doing it right? That's I guess that's true.
- 48:30Speaker 1: I don't know, this thought was, I don't know. I
- 48:32Speaker 1: would imagine a cardiologist is I don't know, I don't
- 48:35Speaker 1: I don't know. We learned that Danny trimmed rowdies and
- 48:39Speaker 1: his hairs. You guys have a job? Does she have
- 48:42Speaker 1: a job? Which I don't know. I don't know, But
- 48:45Speaker 1: j D and Danny are perfect for each other. She's
- 48:48Speaker 1: just sitting at home, like dressing up rowney and trimming
- 48:51Speaker 1: his and his hairs. Yeah a dead dog. Did they
- 48:57Speaker 1: ever say what her job is? That? I remember they didn't,
- 49:03Speaker 1: but don't you. But I also believe that I like
- 49:07Speaker 1: as much as he's in love. This is this is
- 49:09Speaker 1: what she was also saying, like she's perfect for him
- 49:12Speaker 1: if you listen to what she does. She told people, hey,
- 49:15Speaker 1: bring toilet paper if you come over, like all of
- 49:17Speaker 1: the things that JD needs in she's almost exactly like him,
- 49:22Speaker 1: and he can't see it because he's so in love
- 49:25Speaker 1: with Elliott he's blind to it. How funny is another
- 49:29Speaker 1: super stone or silly thing? And when I mentioned my
- 49:32Speaker 1: scarf collection, and then I look at her scarf and
- 49:34Speaker 1: I go, ohau she because I left my cell phone
- 49:39Speaker 1: on and that's how she hurt. And that's how Turk
- 49:42Speaker 1: heard about my scarf collection. Oh oh, that's a gift,
- 49:48Speaker 1: my stupid, silly celebratory dance. And then going back to
- 49:51Speaker 1: the and then turning sad and then celebrating. He really
- 49:56Speaker 1: was so not in there. He just liked they just
- 49:58Speaker 1: he just liked sex with her. I guess. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 50:02Speaker 1: you had no feelings for her, which is crazy because
- 50:07Speaker 1: she seemed like she was great. Yeah, the character seemed
- 50:09Speaker 1: like a good match. But as you said, I love
- 50:12Speaker 1: Trump sault. Yeah over everything. It's hard to say that word.
- 50:16Speaker 1: All right, let's bring you. Let's get the guest. Yeah, okay,
- 50:19Speaker 1: we have a guest for you. Everybody very exciting here
- 50:22Speaker 1: at Fake Doctor's Real Friends. I'm very excited as well.
- 50:25Speaker 1: Really are you do you know something I don't know? Oh, Bellamy,
- 50:34Speaker 1: Oh gosh, all day at Fake Doctor's Real Friends. Everybody,
- 50:38Speaker 1: beautiful people, beautiful people. Thank you, guys. I appreciate it.

- 50:48Speaker 1: appreciate that. Roy. You got your very official Donald phase
- 50:51Speaker 1: on Oprah intro, which is the greatest honor we bestow
- 50:54Speaker 1: upon our guests. Tell me my life. Thank you, Donald,
- 50:57Speaker 1: I really appreciate you doing that for me. Man, Roy,
- 50:59Speaker 1: thank you so much for being a fan. Not only

- 51:07Speaker 1: all your followers about us. So we really appreciate it.
- 51:10Speaker 1: We we we appreciate your love. Well, I gotta tell
- 51:12Speaker 1: you it's very very much an honor to be with
- 51:15Speaker 1: two men who I've it's been a long time watching
- 51:18Speaker 1: on the television and in the movies. And it's also
- 51:20Speaker 1: a real, real pleasure to spend some time with two
- 51:24Speaker 1: people who are in my industry. Who knows exactly what's
- 51:27Speaker 1: going on right now? Now? Do you know? How do
- 51:32Speaker 1: you know? Daniel? Yeah? Oh? Twitter? Twitter? It's the best Twitter.
- 51:39Speaker 1: It's the best Twitter friends. Your Twitter friends, Yep, that's
- 51:42Speaker 1: Daniel and Joel are are coming, Um, like you know,
- 51:46Speaker 1: are gaining Twitter you know, celebrity status. Um there there
- 51:51Speaker 1: there there, followers are climbing. You got to follow them all,
- 51:54Speaker 1: um on Twitter. Follow Daniel Goodman and Joel Monique and
- 51:59Speaker 1: Roy Bell me on because they are good tweeters and
- 52:04Speaker 1: people really like them. Although Joel, you said something quite
- 52:07Speaker 1: controversial that I don't know how I agree with. Okay,
- 52:10Speaker 1: let's get into it here we go. Well, far be
- 52:12Speaker 1: it from me. I don't know that this is how
- 52:15Speaker 1: you know it's a bullshit statement because he started with
- 52:17Speaker 1: far be it from me. Well, no, I disagree. I
- 52:21Speaker 1: like the New Fincher movie, and I don't think Joel did. Oh.
- 52:24Speaker 1: I thought it was a beautiful movie. I just didn't
- 52:26Speaker 1: think any of the women were authentic human beings. Yeah,
- 52:32Speaker 1: I get you very much. Just there to support a guy.
- 52:37Speaker 1: They're all like, oh, he's a genius. We gotta just
- 52:40Speaker 1: let him go be drunk and a genius that can't
- 52:43Speaker 1: have any emotions about it. I'm a lady. Yeah. Man, Well,
- 52:50Speaker 1: I encourage people to look at it, even with Joel's
- 52:53Speaker 1: christ watch the Black and Whitelis. You know, you hear
- 52:56Speaker 1: this about films. You could, but this is the ultimate case.
- 52:59Speaker 1: You could hit pause at any moment on that movie
- 53:01Speaker 1: and you would put that photograph on your wall. It
- 53:04Speaker 1: is stunning. Cinematography is so beautiful and um yeah, I'm
- 53:08Speaker 1: sure the movie's not for everyone because it's it's not
- 53:11Speaker 1: a lot happens. It's basically about an alcoholic writer's struggle
- 53:15Speaker 1: to write Citizen Kane. Um. But I thought the acting
- 53:17Speaker 1: was great and I thought it was beautifully shot. Amanda
- 53:20Speaker 1: Scyprie did what she needed to do. She was good,
- 53:23Speaker 1: so talented. I want to centure to cast me one day,
- 53:26Speaker 1: what did Amanda syfre do? And she plays um what's
- 53:29Speaker 1: the name of the movie star she plays? To look
- 53:32Speaker 1: it up? Okay, okay, so wait, what is it that
- 53:35Speaker 1: she did that? It was so impressive. She's just really
- 53:38Speaker 1: solid performer, like she I feel like Amanda Cyfried has
- 53:42Speaker 1: is obviously talented. She's done a lot of great things,
- 53:44Speaker 1: but lately she's been doing a lot of like camp stuff,
- 53:46Speaker 1: which she's great at and it is a lot of fun.
- 53:48Speaker 1: But like she came in this movie, I'm like, all right,
- 53:49Speaker 1: this one was a very serious actress, like what she's
- 53:53Speaker 1: doing with that character, and it's hard to it's hard
- 53:56Speaker 1: to it's hard to remember that because of the singing
- 54:00Speaker 1: and dance and that she did recently. Is what you're
- 54:02Speaker 1: trying to say, right, you know, you see Mamma Mia
- 54:04Speaker 1: and you're like, this is great for an entirely different
- 54:06Speaker 1: set of reasons. No, what she's saying is is the
- 54:09Speaker 1: movie reminds you that Amanda is very talented. And I agree.
- 54:13Speaker 1: I thought she did a wonder She plays Marion Davies. Yeah,
- 54:16Speaker 1: Marion Davies, who was a movie star at the time,
- 54:18Speaker 1: who was married to um Hurst. Yes, yeah, Okay, anyway,
- 54:24Speaker 1: check it out everybody. I recommend it. Roy, you are
- 54:27Speaker 1: on a nationally syndicated radio show, not a podcast. I
- 54:32Speaker 1: was corrected. Uh well, uh, there have been some changes
- 54:36Speaker 1: to that. Uh so Dan's contract with ESPN. Mutually it's
- 54:43Speaker 1: been put So when the first is this the first
- 54:49Speaker 1: exclusive on Thursday and all the rags in the media.
- 54:53Speaker 1: So no, it's an exclusive, an exclusive exclusive. Roy, don't
- 54:57Speaker 1: ruin our exclusive. We love our ruin. It's inclusive. This
- 55:01Speaker 1: is an exclusive from Roy Bell. Let me go ahead, Roy,
- 55:04Speaker 1: go ahead, Roy right, Roy, give us give our listeners
- 55:07Speaker 1: the exclusive only on fake doctor's girlfriends. So Danny ESPN
- 55:10Speaker 1: have mutually agreed the point ways. Our final ESPN show
- 55:14Speaker 1: will be January fourth, and you can catch us they're
- 55:19Speaker 1: on out well you normally would catch us on podcasts
- 55:22Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcasts on January fit. What's the
- 55:25Speaker 1: name of the show, Roy, that's the Dan Love with
- 55:28Speaker 1: Todd Show with Stugats. Now I know nothing about sports, Roy,
- 55:35Speaker 1: you probably know from listening to the podcast. Um, but
- 55:38Speaker 1: but Bill Lawrence, who if there's a venn diagram of
- 55:42Speaker 1: both of our lives, it overlaps with Bill Lawrence, who
- 55:44Speaker 1: loves being on Your Guys show, and he says, it's
- 55:47Speaker 1: a lot like this, except instead of rambling a nonsense
- 55:51Speaker 1: and occasionally talking about scrubs, you guys talk about sports.
- 55:54Speaker 1: That's right. And partially why I'm here is I am
- 55:57Speaker 1: here to convince Zach to listen to our show, okay,
- 56:01Speaker 1: And the reason why I'm here to do that is
- 56:02Speaker 1: because Zach is not a sports fan. And if you
- 56:06Speaker 1: are not a sports fan, all show is for you, okay,
- 56:10Speaker 1: because we make fun of sports, all right, But but
- 56:14Speaker 1: but are you Are you guys gonna reference people that
- 56:16Speaker 1: I won't know. They'll be like, oh my god, Jim
- 56:19Speaker 1: Jim Simpson and that dunk Lass night, and I will
- 56:22Speaker 1: be like, I didn't see the dunk who dunk Big
- 56:27Speaker 1: Big Jim Simpson, Big Jim, Big Jim Simpson. D stuff
- 56:33Speaker 1: like athletes that can plants like three rollins and Eric
- 56:39Speaker 1: flowers and stuff like that. So okay, yeah we do
- 56:44Speaker 1: three rollant. Yeah yeah, tree is a plant. Tree is
- 56:49Speaker 1: a plant. Oh I thought you I thought you were
- 56:52Speaker 1: saying three rollins like snipped plants, like he thought he
- 56:56Speaker 1: thought you were saying smokes plants. Donald Focus, Okay, Okay,
- 57:00Speaker 1: Roy before you got on. Donald revealed to our listeners
- 57:04Speaker 1: that it wasn't it wasn't a big reveal. On most shows,
- 57:07Speaker 1: he's only mildly high, but today he's decided to be
- 57:10Speaker 1: very high. So just figured of you. That's very good.
- 57:13Speaker 1: You deserved to be high, and you are deserving, sir,
- 57:16Speaker 1: You are deserving. This is also the first time I
- 57:19Speaker 1: get to look at the closet. This is really nice. Yes,
- 57:22Speaker 1: I don't got shit and the like, I got some
- 57:24Speaker 1: fly stuff in here. It's just you know, you got
- 57:27Speaker 1: more than I do I can use. So all right, Roy,
- 57:31Speaker 1: do you have a question for any of us? Um?
- 57:35Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's the one thing I didn't really think of. Okay,
- 57:39Speaker 1: have a question. It could be for Daniel or Joel
- 57:42Speaker 1: if you want, because no one really asked them questions.
- 57:44Speaker 1: It doesn't have to be scrubs related. Oh that's good.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Well Daniel drow As I said, you guys are in
- 57:50Speaker 1: my industry, and uh, I just want to know what
- 57:54Speaker 1: do you guys aspire to be as you guys grow
- 57:57Speaker 1: into your career. Very good question, great question. Great podcasting
- 58:02Speaker 1: is super new and so we don't it's like it's
- 58:06Speaker 1: it's an exciting inustry to be in because it much
- 58:08Speaker 1: like film or radio and their infancy, you don't know
- 58:11Speaker 1: what the heights are, like what there's people constantly breaking
- 58:14Speaker 1: new boundaries and trying new things, and we're still trying
- 58:16Speaker 1: to figure out, you know, what distinguishes the space from radio,
- 58:19Speaker 1: and so I think I just want to be on
- 58:21Speaker 1: the cutting edge of of that is my goal is
- 58:23Speaker 1: like as I explored, like what are the limits of
- 58:26Speaker 1: this and just testing out new things and trying different
- 58:28Speaker 1: forms of podcasts. I think that's what's exciting, um, you know,
- 58:32Speaker 1: and eventually I wouldn't mind having like a full sleep
- 58:34Speaker 1: of shows that are just mine, like I handcrafted, I
- 58:37Speaker 1: curated all the talent. That's sort of that's the next step. Anyway,
- 58:41Speaker 1: we're white morning of that idea right there, you guys
- 58:45Speaker 1: put on your web and their long term term goal
- 58:49Speaker 1: is to tour all of Europe and the United States
- 58:52Speaker 1: and the bus with me and Donald show in New Zealand.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Let's yea, yeah, yeah, the only place where the only
- 59:00Speaker 1: place in the world, well we're not allowed in, but
- 59:02Speaker 1: if we were all out in the only place we
- 59:03Speaker 1: could tour would be New Zealand. Um, all right, Daniel
- 59:07Speaker 1: how about you. What will answer? I feel similarly to
- 59:12Speaker 1: Joel's answer, but honestly from a facilitative standpoint. I want
- 59:16Speaker 1: to facilitate, you know, strong voices and getting people the
- 59:21Speaker 1: space that they deserve on podcast. I kind of like
- 59:24Speaker 1: the idea of being I don't want to say like
- 59:26Speaker 1: an well, yeah, kind of like an A and R.
- 59:28Speaker 1: Like I love people's ideas. I love people who have
- 59:30Speaker 1: strong personalities and strong voices. And I feel like, you know,
- 59:35Speaker 1: I'm at this point, We're on the inside, We're on
- 59:37Speaker 1: this industry. We're in this industry. So having a dialog
- 59:40Speaker 1: for people, yeah, and you know, being able to help
- 59:43Speaker 1: people give their voice to the world is is That's
- 59:46Speaker 1: what That's what I want to do. You guys, First
- 59:48Speaker 1: of all, I just want to say you're you're selling
- 59:50Speaker 1: yourself is a little bit short, because yeah, because I
- 59:53Speaker 1: feel like what you just both said you could achieve
- 59:55Speaker 1: in you are achieving and can achieve in a year.
- 59:59Speaker 1: I you, guys, first of all, I you. For those
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: of you who don't recall in our listening audience, these
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: two people weren't supposed to talk. Joelle was our pretty ever,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Joel was our no. We need, we need to we
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: need to we need to just stress that, we need
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: to stress that. I remember the conversation. So we got
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Daniel and Joel Zach. Are they ever gonna talk? No,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: they're never gonna talk. Okay, good, They're never gonna talk.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Flash cut to now, dude, Thank god you guys. My
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: point is is that we we when we created this thing,
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: we had no fucking idea what it was going to be.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: And Donald I certainly didn't think this many people would
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: be listening. And then Joelle and Daniel are such interesting
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: personalities themselves and so great on the on the podcast
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: that we want more and more, and the fans love
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: them and they love when they contribute. And I know
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: when I don't know that answer to that thing that
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: I bet your bottom dollar Daniel does. And same with
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Joel and Joel. When you did our little recap show,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: you were just so charming and your voice sounded so good.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I was, I think, you guys, should you can do both?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: You should? You should curate and be an A and
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: R type fellow. Daniel and anyone who has a great
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: podcast idea should slide into Daniel's Twitter feed and hit
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: him up. And same thing with Joel but but at
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: the same time, you should curate your own shows where
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: you're on air talent, because I think you guys really
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: are talented broadcasters. Well, a very a very brief peak
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: behind the curtain. But before everything went under, Joel and
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: I were hosting a podcast together. So what was it about? Uh,
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: it's it was, Uh we can We'll get into like
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: a very brief like synopsis of it. Basically, y'all know
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Daniel loves the video games. You know, I'm a nerd.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: I do the tabletop and the comic books and the
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: movies and the TV um And along with our friend
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Rosie Knight, who writes for Nerdice, the three of us
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: were just talking about nerd news stuff every Friday for
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: two and a half hours. And it was incredible because
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Dana will give us like updates on those sports like
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: teams that are I was the sports corner at esports.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I was your esports corner. It was the weather report
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: for esports. What's happening here? It was amazing because I
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: know nothing about it, but it was so huge. And
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: he would tell us about these like large cash prizes
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: and the drama going on between the teams, and I
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: imagine much like Roy and the people who don't like
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: sports but will enjoy listening to the show. It was like,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: oh my god, I didn't know there was so much
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: like life and vitality and this thing that I'm not
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: regularly engaging in. And the Rosie would come in and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: just be like off the cuff, brilliant, and it was
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: a lot of fun. So we're hoping now that we
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: have a good flow for COVID and our other shows
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: are good and solid. We can't take off again. Yeah,
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: you guys should totally do that, man, because there is
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: definitely a there's definitely a corner for that, Joel. You know,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: Zach hit me up and was like, Donald, why are
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: you procrastinating with the Star Wars podcast? Yeah? I hadn't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: arranged to draw. I had an Internet thank you. I
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: didn't realize that you are. You're like, what are you doing?
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: We're not doing anything you happen to I'm sorry, I'm
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: gonna go off on one little rant. You happen to
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: be in a position like very few people are lucky
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: to be in where you can have you can entertain
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: people from your closet and people love the show. We
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: know that, and we're so grateful to our listeners and
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: and our listeners who have the same level of love
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: for Star Wars that you two are are very interested
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: in an offshoot, because they certainly don't want y'all talking
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: about it on here, so they're very That's not true.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: I'm just kidding. I know some of them are, but
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: they're very interested in this offshoot. And I just don't
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: know why you wouldn't do it. Do we lose roy
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I think it's Internet may have dropped Royce. Like anyway,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I'll see what I had to say. Dan left ESPN,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: We got a new podcast. Wherever you get your podcasts out,
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: they're not talking to me anyway, anyway, Donald, if you
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: don't want to do it, you don't want to do it.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I just think, no, I totally want to do it.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: I totally want to do it. I sent in my
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: my stuff. Joel. Joel just always joy. What are you doing? Man?
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Like you? What's going on? It looked like no, I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: am I apologize. This is It was like you got
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: all the information out that you needed to get out.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: You didn't have a question for us. Also, so you
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: got all the information out, you didn't have a question
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: for us, and then you're like, I'm done. Yeah, I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: have a question for you guys, ask all right, go ahead. Well,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: if there's a Scrubs table read yeah, what Beep has done?
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: Or maybe ye? For charity? Yeah for charity? Or or
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: did Georgia runoffs in this situation, would you guys get
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: together and do it? Absolutely? Bill Lawrence has already brought
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: this to our attention. I would like to personally do
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: it for no kid hungry. Um. But I'm sure that
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: I'll allowed charities will be brought to the table. Um.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: But yes, And I suggested to Bill that we do
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: the Wizard of Oz episode because I think that's a
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: really good episode. But I don't know that he'll choose
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: that one. But Donald, um, you've said yes, everyone said yes,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: you know, for charity. Everyone instantly said yes. So we
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: just need problem is that I don't know who's someone
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: needs to wrangle it. I don't know who's gonna wrangle
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: it Donald, I mean sigmy Donald. That's for dangerous. No, no, no,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: the only thing Donald's wrangling is nuggets into that bowl. No,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: you gotta put it in the grind to first down,
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: grind it down. All right, Roy, let's fix your life.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: It's time for everybody's favorite segment. Ready with the queue.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: It's time to fix your life, all right, It's better
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: to be a good one, Ryan, because we're very good
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: at this. We've saved a lot of people's lives on
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: the show. Okay, Like I'm already gonna say you're welcome.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: All right. So, as you guys know, sometimes radio producers
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: career can be in flux. And as you heard me
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: say earlier, kind of lost my job at ESPN. So yeah,
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: so but I still have a job with the show obviously.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: So what does one do to be able to control
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: one's career future in stead medium? Um, well that's almost
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: a better question for Jowell and Daniel. But you're talking
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: about in in like in the podcast broadcasting medium. Well, yeah,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: in radio and podcasts and television. How it seems to
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: me listen, It seems to me that you have two
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: friends here who are very very dialed in at diheart.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: So if I were you, I would make a list
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: of the things and the shows that most would interest
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: you and bring them to Joel and Daniel. And obviously,
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: if you can bring some talent with you that you
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: know has some name notoriety that always helps you. I'm
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: sure you've met other people that you can sort of
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: wrangle Bill. Lawrence is obsessed with you. You could wrangle
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: Bill for God's sakes. But um, you know, uh and
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and and come up with the show. I mean, if
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: I was in your position, I just lost my job.
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: You're obviously have a skill set that is unique and
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: not everybody has. Obviously have an audience too, already obviously
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: have an audience already, you have a Twitter following already.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I would go here are five ideas that I think
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: could be dopas shows that are unique that no one's doing.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Here's some talent that I could reach out, and if
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: they're not co hosting with me, I guarantee you they'll
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: make regular appearances because I'm dialed and you're dialed in
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: with a lot of people in the sports community, I'm sure.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: And then I would go to gatekeepers like Joel and
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Daniel and be like, hey, guys, can you help me
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: bring this to iHeart because I think it's a good idea.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Joel can get anyone on iHeart on the phone in
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: two seconds. Um, So I would work on my pitch, well, Joel,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Joel shaking her head, No, yeah, we can get calls,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: can get calls going. The point is is they are
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: dialed and you can. You don't want to waste your
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: shot though. You don't want to phone it in and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: be like, I don't know, I thought about the fifteen
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: minutes here. No, I would make up like a beautiful
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: pitch document and like have your pitch down so that
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: when you get on the phone with a with a
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Will Pearson who's our iHeart overlord or whoever it is,
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: you're like, all right, Will and you and you know,
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: it's the classic sales thing where you're like, this is
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: a no brainer. They may have you do a pilot
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: where you crush it and kill it and then and
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: then you're off to the races. Joel Dan, I'll add
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: something to that. Please, Yeah, do all of those things
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Zach just said, but then just send email me email
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: you have my Twitter. We'll work it out. We will share,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: but also, you know, share beyond us cover all your bases.
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean it's a it's a thriving industry
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: in these covidd times specifically, and it sounds really grenned
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: to be inside for another year. So you know, don
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the rest of this year getting together and then yeah,
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: hit off next year. Ready to go. Um, I'm just
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: gonna say, you know, you have a leg up because
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: you there's a lot of people I'm sure listening who
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: have who might have some really cool podcast ideas, but
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: they don't have the built in fan base that you
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: already have. That they don't have access to names that
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: people that you probably are friendly with you. So you
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: have a leg up. Go ahead, Daniel. I was just
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: going to add that, you know, the nice thing about
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: podcasts is that as a medium, they welcome so many perspectives, voices, faces,
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: personalities to the space that like, it doesn't just have
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: to be ESPN owns sports podcasts or x brand owns
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: the idea of sports podcasting. I think truth be told.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: I think everything is underrepresented in podcasting. The only thing
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: I'm not even going to go, I'm not gonna make
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: a bad joke, but like, everything is underrepresented in podcasting.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: So I highly recommend you take every opportunity. I don't
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: think I I think I don't think interviewing celebrities is
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: under representation. I was gonna I was going to make sure,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: don't have your podcast be interviewing celebrities. Don't call it
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: what the Fuck with Mark Marin or something. By the way,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I'm on today. By the way, did you know, by
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: the way of all the zillion podcast for you to
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: randomly make a reference to, I'm the one you're on today,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: I'm on what the Fuck with Mark maron Today? If
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: you're listening to this, it's Tuesday tomorrow, so it came out,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: so go check that out. It's actually, you know, a
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: lot like Howard Stern. He kind of gets you to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: start talking about shit you don't normally talk about. And
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: we went deep. We talked about grief, and we talked
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: about depression, and we talked about OCD, which I had
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: as a child. Um. Yeah, he got me talking and
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: I was just I don't know, I was just my
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: lips were flapping. So I was really really candid with him.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: And he lost his wife partner, um and I of
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: course lost Nick, and we've both had a lot of
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: grief in our life in few years. And we went there.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: We went there together. So it's really good. A lot
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: like the questioning that Dan lobitt Hoorn does during his
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: interview subjects. Yeah he does. Yeah, we call him the
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: grief eater because he loves to dive in and focus
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: in on your whatever happened in your life that you
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: might hit him grieved over. Well, I think that's interesting. Listen.
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: You know, I think there's something about radio that it's different.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: You know, when you want a talk show, you're just
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: you're just saying you're five rehearsed anecdotes that you've figured out,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: whereas radio is just you know, especially the great interviewers
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: like Howard I Think is and Mark Marin is and
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you're just sitting there. You just feel like you're talking.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: I mean, and I hope we do it a little
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: bit on this show, although we mostly stay silly, but
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: of course sometimes we get serious here. But you know,
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: you just feel like you're talking to your friends and
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: then all of a sudden, an hour and a half's
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: gone by, and you're like, Jesus, I've never told anyone
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: in that story, but I just told Mark Marin. Oh yeah,
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: well not only Mark Marin but all of his listeners too. Yeah.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: But I mean, I think it's good. I always say,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: you know, we're talking about grief, and a lot of
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: people can relate to grief, and we talk about depression
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: and a lot of people can relate depression. I think
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: it's it's healthy for people to feel like, hey, I'm
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: not fucking alone. You know I'm not alone? No, Um,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: all right, Roy, You're welcome. Welcome, You're welcome, Welcome very
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: much and welcome. And Roy, tell everyone the jewels that
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you could sell if you choose. Roy, tell everyone what
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: your Twitter handle is so they can follow. You can
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: build your audience right now. I am at Roy Belly.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: Oh y b e l L y at Roy Belly
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: incredible Twitter follow and follow him. He's uh, he's very
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: funny and most importantly, he's a big fan of our show,
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: so that's why we really like him. But um, but
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: thank you thanks for coming on the show. Absolutely, and
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: we're excited to see what you come up with. Yeah, seriously,
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: we'll look for some of emails. And please don't have
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: it be about two African Americans obsessed with Star Wars,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: because that's taken any time you guys would have me,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I'm available. Are you a Star Wars geek? I am
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: unfortunately not. Okay, you're not right for that part. Well,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: thank you about Bill, Roy, that's always got time for you,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: do well, Oh Bill, Bill, I mean Roy Roy. That's it.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: Dat all right, Roy, thanks, thank you. I really appreciate it.
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Thank you. Guys, take care of a good one. I
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: think we give good advice, right, I think so. I
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: think that's I think that's the best advice you could give.
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: Poor guy lost his job. Yeah, but he's in a
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: great position right now. He's not in one of those positions.
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: There are a lot of people that are in way
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: worse positions and when they lost their job, of course
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: because of COVID and stuff like that. So maybe he
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: got a summarance. You think he gotta you think maybe,
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know, but his line of work,
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: there's still opportunity for him right now, unlike a lot
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: of people. Well, and like I said, most importantly for him,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: he's he's he's got some legs up. He could make
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: it happen if he hustles hard. Absolutely, Um, let's finish
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: the Scott Gerber, Scott Gerber at the end of the line,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: at the end of the lot of women. First of all,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: JD went to soccer camp. Why is JD at soccer camp?
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: Although I did go to tennis camp for what it's worth,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: So maybe he was trying to try to get into
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: a sport. I don't know. I just thought it was hilarious.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Jordan Feldman, by the way, um went to Northwestern with me.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: He played Scott and so there you go. He showed
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: up and I was like, Jordan, you're playing very funny,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: very funny. See No, yeah, yeah, you said you wanted to.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: I thought you wanted to be better teammates. He didn't.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: And then I say that he wore my jersey as
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: a as a Nike gallon or something, yeah, as a knight,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: so stupid. Then we reveal at the end that that
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: Johnny is not talking to his therapist, but he is
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: talking to his baby. Yeah, and and and that'll do
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: it for you, man. I mean, I'm telling you right now,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: your life changes. And everybody jokes about this, and we all,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: we all, everyone who asked kids knows exactly what I'm
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: talking about. And so when you see something like this
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: as cliche is this it's so it's it's still it
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: still strikes a nerve, you know what I mean. I
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: figured it out at some point earlier on that he
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: was talking to his kid, because it just didn't make
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: sense that Cox would let down his guard for anyone
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: other than it's child. You know, yeah, but even in
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: therapy he's very combative, you know what I mean. And
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: there's and and and it's just not in his character.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: And I was like, either, you know, especially we talk
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: about this all the time, not necessarily remembering this episode.
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: It was like, this would have to be a total
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: shift in tone for doctor Cox if if this was
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: going to be his character for the rest of the show.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: So I was like, there has to be a hook
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: in there. Where's the hook? And I was like, oh, snap,
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: he's talking to his kid. Well. I thought it was
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: very funny that he's like, we saw doctor Cox experienced
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: happiness and then he realized he couldn't really do his
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: job effectively happy. That's great, Um, really good, really good.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: The end song that I had was certainly not a
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Ryan Adams song. Rescue Blues is the Ryan Adams song
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: that's in the original Um what I whatever. I listened
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: to on iTunes. M no offense to the replacement artist,
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: but it was not a jam for me. Um. Well,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: you know, speaking of Jams, I thought, you know, we
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: could go out with the show. My brother has wonderful song.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Olamide Phase has this wonderful song about friendship and the
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: times that we're going through right now, and how we
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: can all use you know, the help of a you know,
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: of our fellow human beings on this planet. And so
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: that's the show. That's the show. Before you count into
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: a laminate, we want to shout out everyone for listening.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: All we love you. Take care of yourselves. Be safe
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: if you're in one of these hot zones, which I
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: think is now pretty much the entire country. We're not
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: going to convince you of anything you don't want to do.
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: But if you do care what we say as fake doctors,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: stay home, stay inside, unless you have to go somewhere,
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: wear a mask. If you do, don't just think about yourself,
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: think about everybody else. You know, there's these stories where
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: people go to a wedding right and they get infected
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: and bring it home and then kill like their grandparents
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: because they didn't get sick, or they got they were asymptomatic,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: but they brought that shit home and killed like multiple people.
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: So if if you're not worried about yourself, think about
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: being a carrier and killing somebody else. We gotta end
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: on a high night, though I just took it, I
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: took it dark. How do we get down. How do
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: we get back? How do we get back down? We
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: get make a fart, noise, get it back? We get
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: it back like this, Ladies and gentlemen, for your listening, ears,
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: for your pleasure, for your happiness, for your joy. Can
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I get a Can I get a Haymen? And I
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: get a hallelujah, hallela give it up from my brother,
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: from the same mother and father a Lama day father
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: by six seven eight. I wish a head, and you too,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: Bible the doctor, get me more. So I just see
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: you spen a while you answer. I want to feel
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: a little better from the sound of your And look
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: and if you can get expend some time spreading me
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: over some wine. You know, we can talk about many
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: things that every on the mind. See I just staying.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: I don't know where to begin. Where the story is.
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: I just speed feel I'll tek your off tving like
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: the story baby city, Hold and watch the TV. And
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I can see the insincerity, I might asked him. When
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: I hear the I said, because that's my real alerty.
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: When a heart meets catching up? Are you the one
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: I can't come on? I hope to feel a little
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: better from the sound of go and load and if
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: not now when lives changed, the one is trying for
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: other hate. I'm sitting back now to win anything. It's
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: dropping me in saying I just need friend. Don't know
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: better begin where I start. I just need a friend.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I'm tire up the changing. Like starty heading, I need
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: to let you. I need you there where you are
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: you are. I need you. I need you, I need you,
