- 0:00Speaker 1: News Radio 570, Dodie Covey, and Iran Ferb. So you say, well,
- 0:04Speaker 1: they're watching the same news that you're watching in Iran.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Obviously. I mean, if they're smart, they would. And I'm
- 0:14Speaker 2: sure they do. And it's all negative about the war.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And basically, if it goes to Congress, it's going to
- 0:22Speaker 2: get shut down. So just hang on a little while
- 0:24Speaker 2: longer and don't make a deal with Trump. Mm-hmm.
- 0:29Speaker 1: What do you think they should do?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Who?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Iran?
- 0:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:36Speaker 4: Or us?
- 0:37Speaker 1: The whole situation.
- 0:40Speaker 2: We need to get it approved to be there as
- 0:45Speaker 2: long as it takes. And then Iran is going to say, yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 2: we ain't got the fortitude for this because we can't
- 0:52Speaker 2: hold out much longer. But they can hold out short term.
- 0:59Speaker 1: How do you know that to be true? I would
- 1:03Speaker 1: just ask you. I mean, is that an assumption on
- 1:05Speaker 1: your part? Assumption?
- 1:07Speaker 2: I mean, listening to your intelligent callers.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Because, you know, I would think they would have buckled sooner.
- 1:15Speaker 1: Remember when they dropped the bunker buster, that bomb? And
- 1:18Speaker 1: that was supposedly... Well, yes. That took care of it.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Right from the start of this, the media has been
- 1:23Speaker 2: crying about this. This can only last 60 days and
- 1:26Speaker 2: they need congressional approval.
- 1:28Speaker 1: But those are the rules. I mean, that's not, I mean, listen,
- 1:34Speaker 1: I don't care if it's Biden or Trump. I mean,
- 1:36Speaker 1: you're not, you truly aren't a king or a dictator
- 1:39Speaker 1: that you can do this stuff without, at that point, without.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm worried that he's not going to get the backing
- 1:46Speaker 2: to continue on. And then we got to walk away
- 1:50Speaker 2: spending all that money for nothing. And Iran goes right
- 1:54Speaker 2: back to business as usual. We can't let them do that.
- 1:59Speaker 1: At some point, you're going to leave though, right? Let
- 2:05Speaker 1: me counter your argument a little bit and get your
- 2:08Speaker 1: reaction to things. So is it possible that we don't
- 2:12Speaker 1: understand Iran's culture? So often previously, I think we could
- 2:17Speaker 1: say as a country, we misread the Middle East tremendously.
- 2:21Speaker 1: And we have a proven track record that we didn't
- 2:24Speaker 1: understand the Middle East. And the so-called regime changes have
- 2:28Speaker 1: all been dismal failures. And they thought maybe this time
- 2:33Speaker 1: it would be different and it would be quick. And
- 2:38Speaker 1: they would throw the towel in. And they didn't. So
- 2:43Speaker 1: if I said to you, I think they're surprised they
- 2:45Speaker 1: didn't throw the towel in as quick as they did.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And I'm surprised they haven't thrown a towel in at
- 2:51Speaker 1: this point in time, me personally speaking. I'm surprised they
- 2:54Speaker 1: haven't thrown a towel in yet. So should I conclude
- 2:58Speaker 1: they got some degree of resolve to say they haven't
- 3:01Speaker 1: done it with all this bombing, they haven't done it
- 3:03Speaker 1: with the blockade, they haven't done it with the finances
- 3:06Speaker 1: of it, and I don't know that they're sitting around
- 3:09Speaker 1: watching Fox News. Maybe it's just a culture we don't understand.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Maybe it's a culture that says, United States of America,
- 3:20Speaker 1: you're not going to tell us whether or not we
- 3:22Speaker 1: can have a nuclear weapon. We're our own country, 93
- 3:26Speaker 1: million people. United States, we can inflict a lot of
- 3:32Speaker 1: financial harm on you. Well, they've said that publicly. If
- 3:35Speaker 1: you want to inflict it on us, you just wait
- 3:37Speaker 1: and see. I mean, Iran's basically saying, we got some
- 3:42Speaker 1: cards to play here, too.
- 3:45Speaker 2: And..
- 3:47Speaker 1: Are they playing those? I would like to think that
- 3:50Speaker 1: Trump's got him by the manhood. I would like to
- 3:53Speaker 1: think he's got a tight hold on him.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I think he does, but they are looking at it thinking,
- 4:02Speaker 2: if we can just hold on a little bit longer,
- 4:04Speaker 2: this is going to be over and he's going to
- 4:06Speaker 2: have to quit.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Well, that might be true.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Because there's no support here in the United States, according
- 4:11Speaker 2: to the news.
- 4:13Speaker 1: And I don't think there is.
- 4:13Speaker 4: According to the Democrats.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I don't think, according to the news, I don't think
- 4:16Speaker 1: there is a lot of support for it in the
- 4:17Speaker 1: United States. I mean, I genuinely do not think a
- 4:21Speaker 1: lot of people are supporting this at all.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah. And as far as leaving, our boats can float
- 4:30Speaker 2: around anywhere in the oceans. Why not leave a few
- 4:32Speaker 2: of them there to just maintain the straight?
- 4:36Speaker 1: How long?
- 4:36Speaker 2: It ain't going to cost anything if they're just floating around.
- 4:40Speaker 2: It costs the same to burn whatever they burn to
- 4:43Speaker 2: float them boats around in the middle of the Atlantic
- 4:45Speaker 2: as it would to float around in the Persian Gulf
- 4:48Speaker 2: and the Strait of Hormuz.
- 4:50Speaker 5: Just have a presence.
- 4:53Speaker 2: It don't cost anything more. As long as we ain't
- 4:56Speaker 2: shooting missiles.
- 4:59Speaker 1: So you say the U.S. has got to..
- 5:00Speaker 2: We're going to float somewhere.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So you think the biggest enemy are the Democrats and
- 5:08Speaker 1: the timeline?
- 5:11Speaker 4: Yes.
- 5:15Speaker 1: All right. How long do you think the American people
- 5:18Speaker 1: will tolerate high gas prices?
- 5:23Speaker 2: We don't have a choice.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Oh, I think you have a choice. Unfortunately, sometimes, don't
- 5:30Speaker 1: ever forget when they said it's the economy, stupid. That's
- 5:34Speaker 1: very true. People, do you think that there could be
- 5:36Speaker 1: a choice that you would see in November?
- 5:40Speaker 2: Probably. And if the Democrats get back in charge, we'll
- 5:45Speaker 2: be apologizing to Iran and giving them reparations for Trump's
- 5:48Speaker 2: illegal war.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Nothing would surprise me. Nothing would surprise me. I'm in
- 5:54Speaker 1: total agreement with you there. I would never vote ever
- 6:00Speaker 1: for a Democrat. I'd never vote for Sherrod Brown. I'd
- 6:02Speaker 1: never vote for the Democrats at all. But unfortunately, sometimes
- 6:06Speaker 1: people do that, and I don't understand it because I
- 6:10Speaker 1: don't think they would make it better. They would just
- 6:12Speaker 1: make it a lot worse. I would agree with that.
- 6:16Speaker 1: All right. Thank you. Appreciate your comments. I thought he
- 6:20Speaker 1: made a good point. You're on the air.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Here's my only thing. I don't know what I don't know,
- 6:26Speaker 6: but I was told in June that all the nuclear bombs, missiles,
- 6:29Speaker 6: everything was gone. And now, February, we've got to go back.
- 6:34Speaker 6: So was I lied to then when they were gone
- 6:36Speaker 6: and they weren't really gone? Or now they say there's
- 6:39Speaker 6: nuclear dust. How long does it take to make a
- 6:42Speaker 6: bomb that's going to hit Israel or the U.S. with
- 6:44Speaker 6: nuclear dust? Now, Ron Verb, if you were Donald Trump
- 6:48Speaker 6: behind the Resolute Desk and you were presented all of this, Mr. Trump...
- 6:53Speaker 6: We have to go into Iran right now.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Well, wait a second.
- 6:56Speaker 6: Didn't we take care of everything? Yes, it's all dust.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Well, wait a second.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Why are we going to Iran if it's dust? How
- 7:01Speaker 6: long does it take to make a nuclear missile from dust?
- 7:04Speaker 6: So that's my only thing.
- 7:06Speaker 7: I just wish we knew more.
- 7:08Speaker 6: On top of that, I could really sit here and
- 7:10Speaker 6: argue with you why we should be there, and I
- 7:13Speaker 6: could argue with you why we shouldn't be there. The
- 7:15Speaker 6: one thing I'll push back on... Even what you were
- 7:18Speaker 6: talking to Rich about would be their culture. We have
- 7:20Speaker 6: a lot of people in this country who have a
- 7:23Speaker 6: different culture than what you would call American norms or
- 7:26Speaker 6: American standards. What are we supposed to do? Just let
- 7:29Speaker 6: them have these weapons and cause havoc on the community
- 7:35Speaker 6: and just not do anything about it because we didn't
- 7:36Speaker 6: take care of it in 60 days and let them
- 7:39Speaker 6: just keep threatening us? That goes on forever. I'm not
- 7:42Speaker 6: saying we should be in Iran forever. But what happens
- 7:45Speaker 6: if Congress says we can't be there and we leave tomorrow?
- 7:47Speaker 6: Does everything just go back to business as usual? Does
- 7:50Speaker 6: China just keep going back and getting oil from Iran?
- 7:53Speaker 6: Does the rest of the Middle East?
- 7:54Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you that question. Based on our
- 7:58Speaker 1: track record, what do you see?
- 8:01Speaker 6: Well, based on our track record, the last two months
- 8:04Speaker 6: or the last 30 years?
- 8:06Speaker 1: No, our track record... Yeah, I mean, I don't know
- 8:09Speaker 1: if you want to go back 30 years, but in
- 8:11Speaker 1: the Middle East, I suspect you could go back to
- 8:13Speaker 1: Vietnam as well because we simply left there, too.
- 8:17Speaker 6: Here's my thing on this, too. We went in there,
- 8:20Speaker 6: you know, on day one and bombed everything and Israel
- 8:24Speaker 6: went in. Why isn't Israel, where's their navy? Why aren't
- 8:27Speaker 6: they going through first clear and everything? Because just like
- 8:30Speaker 6: you said, too, I never lost a minute of sleep
- 8:33Speaker 6: at night wondering if Iran was going to hit us
- 8:34Speaker 6: with a nuclear warhead. But at the same time, Trump
- 8:37Speaker 6: is a whole different breed. He never wants to look bad.
- 8:41Speaker 6: If he doesn't look bad, then America does good. And
- 8:43Speaker 6: at the end of the day, I'm sure in the
- 8:45Speaker 6: back of his mind, he thought, you know, if I
- 8:47Speaker 6: go to Iran now, there's still a chance, even if
- 8:49Speaker 6: he thinks everything he does is 100% right, unavoidable chance
- 8:53Speaker 6: of failure. In the back of his mind, and even
- 8:56Speaker 6: everybody in the military had to say, this is.
- 8:58Speaker 4: What could happen.
- 8:59Speaker 6: They present, even if the president makes these decisions, They
- 9:02Speaker 6: present these things to him. He has to know that
- 9:05Speaker 6: gas prices go up. He said it himself. He said
- 9:06Speaker 6: he's surprised gas is up more. The stock market's not
- 9:09Speaker 6: down more. The thing I don't like is I just
- 9:13Speaker 6: want to know why we're there, for what reason concrete.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Because I just don't like hearing that. That's the thing
- 9:18Speaker 6: that frustrates me the most is this nuclear dust thing.
- 9:21Speaker 6: What are we going in to clear up the nuclear dust?
- 9:23Speaker 6: Are we going to airlift excavators and dig it all
- 9:26Speaker 6: up and put a caution tape around it until we
- 9:28Speaker 6: get it all out?
- 9:29Speaker 4: To what point?
- 9:31Speaker 6: And I'm just saying, too, at the same time, now
- 9:33Speaker 6: we're there, what are we supposed to do, just stop now?
- 9:36Speaker 6: Where's the rest of the Middle East? What are they doing?
- 9:40Speaker 6: You know, the UAE, that's their whole entire economy. Saudi Arabia,
- 9:43Speaker 6: that's their economy. They're still pumping out some oil, but
- 9:46Speaker 6: not as much. That's why they left OPEC. I don't
- 9:49Speaker 6: understand what the endgame is, and I'm not going to
- 9:51Speaker 6: pretend to know it, because I don't know what I
- 9:53Speaker 6: don't know. This can change next week, for all we know.
- 9:57Speaker 6: I have no clue. But when the war games were
- 10:00Speaker 6: going on with how we would invade Iran or get
- 10:03Speaker 6: their nuclear weapons, I'm sure at some point, again, it
- 10:06Speaker 6: was the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. I think
- 10:08Speaker 6: that the drone factor has completely changed all of war.
- 10:13Speaker 6: You can look at what Russia and Ukraine, drones are
- 10:16Speaker 6: just the new standard of war now. And when you
- 10:20Speaker 6: can send a drone that's $ 30, 000 from Iran that's hidden
- 10:23Speaker 6: off at the Strait of Hormuz and you hit a U.S.
- 10:26Speaker 6: Navy ship and a bunch of armed service members die, yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 6: that's not going to be good. I don't know what
- 10:34Speaker 6: the end game is, but if it ends tomorrow, are
- 10:36Speaker 6: we just going to go right back to where we were?
- 10:38Speaker 6: I don't understand why we didn't just bomb them in June.
- 10:42Speaker 6: We said it was gone.
- 10:43Speaker 1: It's dust.
- 10:44Speaker 6: If you ever start rebuilding it again, we'll do the
- 10:46Speaker 6: same thing again. I mean, look what we did.
- 10:49Speaker 1: So you're talking with the bunker buster. You thought it was,
- 10:53Speaker 1: we dropped it. That was supposedly, that accomplished everything we needed.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Everything's destroyed. And you're saying, so what happened?
- 11:00Speaker 6: Why didn't you close down the Strait of Hormuz after
- 11:02Speaker 6: the bunker buster?
- 11:03Speaker 1: No.
- 11:05Speaker 7: Why didn't they do it then?
- 11:06Speaker 6: And are they going to keep, you know, quote-unquote, charging
- 11:09Speaker 6: and just the threat of anything?
- 11:12Speaker 1: Well, some of the critics say, look, he's now created
- 11:15Speaker 1: a monster because they didn't, they hadn't done that. But
- 11:17Speaker 1: now they're saying, well, wait a minute. Now they realize
- 11:21Speaker 1: what another avenue that they have available to them.
- 11:25Speaker 6: I keep hearing these 12 days, 22 days until their oil,
- 11:28Speaker 6: they have no more storage, they can't pump, and then
- 11:31Speaker 6: the water infiltrates their oil reserves and they can't do
- 11:34Speaker 6: anything for years. If that's legitimate... Then Iran really does
- 11:38Speaker 6: have to make a decision. Do they want to never
- 11:40Speaker 6: be able to pump oil? And look, I mean, I
- 11:42Speaker 6: guess China and Russia might be sending them some supplies.
- 11:46Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 11:47Speaker 6: But have we heard anything out of their allies? Russia
- 11:49Speaker 6: and China? Russia's, you know, without saying, in Ukraine. And
- 11:55Speaker 6: China really just wants to sell cheap stuff all over
- 11:58Speaker 6: the world. I don't think they want to get involved
- 11:59Speaker 6: in anything. Because they have 50-year, 100-year plans. But Iran
- 12:03Speaker 6: has no friends. That's what I don't understand, even with
- 12:06Speaker 6: the rest of the Middle East.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Where are they?
- 12:08Speaker 6: And I'm telling you, I keep going back to Israel.
- 12:10Speaker 6: We went in with them on day one, and I
- 12:12Speaker 6: haven't heard anything since then. I'm sure stuff is going on. Again,
- 12:16Speaker 6: I don't know what I don't know. But they were
- 12:18Speaker 6: going to get a nuclear bomb to hit it at
- 12:21Speaker 6: Israel first. I think Israel should be going in and
- 12:24Speaker 6: taking care of this with their navy.
- 12:26Speaker 7: Open that up.
- 12:27Speaker 6: A lot of it just makes no sense to me.
- 12:30Speaker 6: I just wish I had a clear, concise reason.
- 12:35Speaker 1: What are your thoughts about how long you think Americans
- 12:39Speaker 1: will tolerate.
- 12:41Speaker 8: This?
- 12:42Speaker 6: If you keep looking back at interest rates, and I've
- 12:44Speaker 6: said this a few times, that 10-year Treasury rate right
- 12:48Speaker 6: now is at 4.45%. Anytime it gets just below 4.5%,
- 12:53Speaker 6: something happens. When Liberation Day happened in April of last year,
- 12:57Speaker 6: the market tanked and interest rates went through the roof.
- 12:59Speaker 6: Right when it hit 4.5%, that's when they backed off
- 13:02Speaker 6: the tariffs. We did this ceasefire. It was right when
- 13:07Speaker 6: interest rates were right at 4.5%. Something probably is going
- 13:11Speaker 6: to come off the table, push the goalposts further down.
- 13:14Speaker 6: I don't know, but Trump is losing. He's going to
- 13:15Speaker 6: start losing credibility when you hit the nail on the head. Oh,
- 13:19Speaker 6: we have a deal. We don't have a deal. We
- 13:20Speaker 6: have a deal. We don't have a deal. At this point,
- 13:23Speaker 6: this far in, you tell these people at this point,
- 13:25Speaker 6: I don't know, whoever's in charge, either you make a
- 13:28Speaker 6: deal and you have until this time, and then we're
- 13:30Speaker 6: just going to do to you what we did to
- 13:31Speaker 6: everybody else. I don't know if there's just another hundred
- 13:35Speaker 6: people in line to take up the next position, or
- 13:37Speaker 6: maybe they really have no clue. It would be nice
- 13:40Speaker 6: if Trump came and did an address to the nation
- 13:43Speaker 6: at 9 o'clock at night and just laid out a clear, concise,
- 13:47Speaker 6: three-minute speech, turned around and walked away. That's really what
- 13:50Speaker 6: I would like, because I just have no clue what's
- 13:53Speaker 6: going on. And like I said, I could speculate in
- 13:55Speaker 6: one direction why we should be there and why we
- 13:57Speaker 6: should keep doing this and why we never should have
- 13:59Speaker 6: gone at the same time.
- 14:09Speaker 8: It's a cluster. It's a quagmire.
- 14:11Speaker 6: I don't know what you want to call it. We
- 14:13Speaker 6: could be having this conversation next week and say, oh,
- 14:15Speaker 6: my gosh, it actually worked.
- 14:17Speaker 5: They did this.
- 14:18Speaker 7: They did that.
- 14:18Speaker 6: We're doing this. All of this has opened back up.
- 14:21Speaker 6: But it's not like gas prices are going to come
- 14:22Speaker 6: straight down because you've got futures markets. Oil is priced 30-day, 60-day,
- 14:25Speaker 6: 90-day down the road. I'm not really sure why gas
- 14:30Speaker 6: was at $ 4.
- 14:30Speaker 8: 85, $ 0.
- 14:31Speaker 6: 99, whatever you want to call it, when oil was
- 14:35Speaker 6: $ 100 a barrel. I was seeing reports that that never
- 14:38Speaker 6: should have been that high, even.
- 14:39Speaker 4: At $ 100 a barrel.
- 14:40Speaker 6: I have no clue, because I just don't know what
- 14:42Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. All right, thank you. Believe it
- 14:50Speaker 1: or not, I think that was well said. I think
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm sitting there taking in everything you had to say.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I don't know what I don't know. But you do
- 15:01Speaker 1: lose credibility when all last week, well, Iran wants to
- 15:04Speaker 1: make a deal. They're in talks. They want to make
- 15:07Speaker 1: a deal. Well, if they want to make a deal,
- 15:08Speaker 1: why isn't there a deal? If they want to make
- 15:11Speaker 1: a deal, why are we talking about doing more bombing?
- 15:15Speaker 1: I thought we had them right where we needed them.
- 15:18Speaker 1: It's like there's so many mixed signals here. And then
- 15:21Speaker 1: you see a huge down markets today. And then you
- 15:24Speaker 1: see oil prices, price of oil going up. And that's
- 15:29Speaker 1: not good for my fatigued wallet. How about yours? Back
- 15:34Speaker 1: in a minute. News Radio 570 WKBN. Radio 570 WKBN.
- 15:38Speaker 1: You know, I never want to steer you in the
- 15:41Speaker 1: wrong direction. You understand that. I always try to point
- 15:43Speaker 1: you in the right direction. Whether it's somebody who needs
- 15:48Speaker 1: hearing aids or their hearing looked at, you won't find
- 15:52Speaker 1: any better than Dr. Cheryl Figlano, Centers for Hearing Care.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Whether that's heating and cooling and the honesty of Bob Dieter.
- 16:00Speaker 1: or whether that's buying a new car, truck, or SUV,
- 16:03Speaker 1: and Mike Kudak and Stadium GM. This I can tell you,
- 16:07Speaker 1: as I've said, as a customer, you go one stop,
- 16:10Speaker 1: everything that General Motors makes, if you're a GM family,
- 16:13Speaker 1: and you like the product, and you want, whether it's Cadillac, Buick, GMC,
- 16:18Speaker 1: or Chevy, you find it all under one roof. And
- 16:21Speaker 1: you're not part of these dealership chains that are these
- 16:26Speaker 1: mega dealerships, got to have a gazillion locations. and the
- 16:30Speaker 1: overhead that comes with it, and the lack of personal
- 16:33Speaker 1: care that comes with it. No, Stadium GM, locally owned

- 17:26Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. You're on the air.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Are you a believer in the Cleveland Cavaliers?
- 17:33Speaker 1: Yes, I am. Yes, I am. You've been talking about
- 17:37Speaker 1: the Cavaliers. I've been ignoring you. I've been saying I'm
- 17:41Speaker 1: focused on the Guardians. I almost feel as though I
- 17:48Speaker 1: should publicly apologize to Dick from Dayton because you've been
- 17:51Speaker 1: Cavs all the way. And look, how happy were you yesterday?
- 17:57Speaker 7: Oh, I'd never seen that place that crazy.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I mean, the people were just..
- 18:02Speaker 7: I put it, you know, about the second half, I
- 18:05Speaker 7: was watching the news and stuff, but I watched it.
- 18:08Speaker 2: They just looked remarkable, didn't they? They just kept going on,
- 18:12Speaker 2: you know?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 18:14Speaker 9: Yes, yes.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Now, the big trip.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I say the..
- 18:21Speaker 9: Do good.
- 18:22Speaker 7: They'll do good on this trip.
- 18:23Speaker 2: I'm convinced.
- 18:26Speaker 1: You're convinced?
- 18:27Speaker 7: Yes.
- 18:28Speaker 8: Bring it home, buddy.
- 18:31Speaker 1: You know what I thought of yesterday when the Cavs won? What?
- 18:36Speaker 1: Dick from Dayton.
- 18:37Speaker 7: Oh, good.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Boy, Dick from Dayton's got to be happy. Although, you know,
- 18:41Speaker 1: basketball playoffs go on forever, don't they? Good God.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Yes, they go forever.
- 18:46Speaker 1: I mean, that's the problem. It's like I mean, it's like, jeez, Luis. Yeah,
- 18:52Speaker 1: they go on forever. But the Cavs, yes. The Cavs victorious.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Now on to the next one. Now on to the
- 18:59Speaker 1: next one. And Dick from Dayton, you have been correct
- 19:02Speaker 1: on your focus on that. I'm just into baseball and
- 19:05Speaker 1: the Guardians. You understand.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, they're doing pretty good, aren't they?
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yes, they are.
- 19:10Speaker 2: They lost last night, though, didn't they?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yes. All right, Tiger.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Okay, bye-bye.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Appreciate it. You're on the air.
- 19:17Speaker 9: What a pleasure following Dick from Dayton, two-time Caller of
- 19:21Speaker 9: the Year on your overnight sports program on 1390.
- 19:24Speaker 4: And I.
- 19:26Speaker 9: Did see that thing of Dick from Dayton at that
- 19:30Speaker 9: celebration they had in Cincinnati.
- 19:33Speaker 4: Yes.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yes, yes.
- 19:35Speaker 9: You know, Ron, getting on the serious part of the show,
- 19:39Speaker 9: do you remember, you were too young, but for your...
- 19:43Speaker 9: more astute listeners out there, remember when Robert McNamara left being...
- 19:51Speaker 9: Secretary of Defense and went to take over the World Bank,
- 19:56Speaker 9: and it was a guy named Clark Clifford that took
- 19:59Speaker 9: his job. Right in the late 60s, this happened. And
- 20:04Speaker 9: after that, all the generals, the chiefs of staff, the
- 20:08Speaker 9: joint chiefs and everything, had Mr. Clifford come in with
- 20:10Speaker 9: his staff, and they were showing him all these elaborate
- 20:14Speaker 9: bombing plans of North Vietnam, and we're going to do this,
- 20:17Speaker 9: and we're going to bomb the dams, and this and that.
- 20:20Speaker 9: And he said, gentlemen, gentlemen, please, I want to see
- 20:24Speaker 9: the plans. And he goes, the plans? Sir, we're showing
- 20:27Speaker 9: you the bombing plans, the latest bombing plans. He goes, no,
- 20:31Speaker 9: I want to see the plans of.
- 20:32Speaker 7: Winning the war.
- 20:35Speaker 9: And the general stepped back, the admiral stepped back and said, sir,
- 20:39Speaker 9: we have no.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Plan on winning the war.
- 20:42Speaker 9: I think, as much as I believe in Trump, I
- 20:45Speaker 9: think he's going to be doing..
- 20:47Speaker 1: Hold that thought. News Radio 570, WKVN. All right. Where
- 20:55Speaker 1: was I? Hang on a minute. Okay, you were talking
- 20:59Speaker 1: about Vietnam.
- 21:02Speaker 9: And Mr. Clifford asked all the Joint Chiefs of Staff
- 21:06Speaker 9: and everything, he said, where's the plan to win the war?
- 21:09Speaker 4: I think Mr.
- 21:11Speaker 9: Trump right now doesn't have a plan to win this.
- 21:15Speaker 9: If he does, he's keeping it close to his vest.
- 21:18Speaker 9: But I do think, you know, we can't go on
- 21:22Speaker 9: with this hit and miss theory. Either we've got to
- 21:24Speaker 9: go in and get this stuff done. Remember when the
- 21:29Speaker 9: Gulf War started, Colin Powell got up in front of
- 21:32Speaker 9: everybody and said, we're going to cut off the head
- 21:34Speaker 9: of the snake and we're going to kill the regime.
- 21:37Speaker 9: And that's what they did. They bombed the heck out
- 21:41Speaker 9: of the Iraqi forces. Then they went in and they
- 21:44Speaker 9: were surrendering to drones or surrendering to the CNN reporters
- 21:49Speaker 9: because they were getting bombastic with all of our might
- 21:53Speaker 9: that we were putting down on the Iraqis. How long
- 21:56Speaker 9: did that war last?
- 21:59Speaker 4: Five, six months?
- 21:59Speaker 10: It was over?
- 22:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 22:02Speaker 10: Okay.
- 22:04Speaker 4: Okay.
- 22:05Speaker 9: I think right now, Mr. Trump got to have a
- 22:07Speaker 9: plan to go in and get all this stuff. Like
- 22:10Speaker 9: your one caller said, get this stuff up, get somebody
- 22:13Speaker 9: in there. Like you said, you're not going to be
- 22:16Speaker 9: dropping bulldozers by air and stuff like that there. They
- 22:19Speaker 9: got to go out and make sure the stuff that
- 22:21Speaker 9: they had before is destroyed.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Your comments, Ron.
- 22:27Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Like I said, I think that they miscalculated. I think
- 22:34Speaker 1: they had a plan and thought this would be over
- 22:36Speaker 1: very quickly. And I think they miscalculated totally and completely.
- 22:42Speaker 1: And I think they continue to try to reboot or
- 22:47Speaker 1: reconfigure to a certain extent and try to figure out–
- 22:52Speaker 1: where to go next. I mean, do I think the
- 22:55Speaker 1: military's done an excellent job? Do I think that they
- 22:57Speaker 1: got them by the gonads? I absolutely do. Do I
- 23:01Speaker 1: think it can be a waiting game to bring them
- 23:04Speaker 1: to their knees? Potentially. I mean, possibly. But do I
- 23:08Speaker 1: understand their culture or their reserve? No, I do not.
- 23:13Speaker 1: Because they might be very much saying that they... I
- 23:18Speaker 1: don't know what their thoughts are. They might be saying,
- 23:21Speaker 1: we hate you. You're not going to tell us that
- 23:24Speaker 1: we can't. You're not going to tell us Israel could
- 23:26Speaker 1: have a nuclear weapon, but we can't. You're not. You're
- 23:30Speaker 1: sooner or later you're going to have to leave. This
- 23:31Speaker 1: is our home. It's as we saw in Afghanistan, as
- 23:36Speaker 1: you saw in Vietnam. This is where we live and
- 23:40Speaker 1: we're here to stay. And you got to go at
- 23:42Speaker 1: some point. So we'll wait you out whenever that is.
- 23:46Speaker 9: You know, they might be looking to the philosophy of
- 23:49Speaker 9: Ho Chi Minh.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Yep.
- 23:50Speaker 9: Back in the day, after the Tet Offensive, we killed
- 23:53Speaker 9: over 100,000 of them, Ronnie. 100,000 during the Tet Offensive.
- 23:57Speaker 9: And they waited two, three years. They built up their forces.
- 24:01Speaker 11: And they came right back down the Ho Chi Minh.
- 24:04Speaker 9: Trail that we bombed. day in, day out, night and day,
- 24:07Speaker 9: forever and ever. And they still got the stuff down
- 24:10Speaker 9: that trail and everything like that. And the other thing, too,
- 24:13Speaker 9: is that they were ready to commit another 100,000 men
- 24:17Speaker 9: to get their just reserve and retaking, you know, reuniting
- 24:23Speaker 9: the North and the South Vietnam. And who can forget,
- 24:26Speaker 9: you were just a little child at the time, that
- 24:29Speaker 9: tank going, through the presidential palace down there in Saigon,
- 24:34Speaker 9: and knocking that gate down, and running up there and
- 24:37Speaker 9: running down the flag of the South Lebanese and putting
- 24:40Speaker 9: up that flag of the North Lebanese, and their waiting
- 24:44Speaker 9: game waited out, what, the longest war in our history,
- 24:47Speaker 9: 10 years at that time?
- 24:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, yes, 100%. I mean, on a serious question,
- 24:57Speaker 1: and I'm on a serious question, do you ever sit
- 24:59Speaker 1: back and say, When you look at it, what did
- 25:01Speaker 1: all those people die for? Because ultimately we ended up leaving.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I mean, because these were many people that you personally knew.
- 25:09Speaker 1: What did they die for? And likewise in Afghanistan, when
- 25:13Speaker 1: you see the horrific commercials on television, well, those young
- 25:17Speaker 1: men that died or are injured that you see permanently injured,
- 25:22Speaker 1: what for? We left and gave it back to them.
- 25:27Speaker 1: And you see that in all of the Middle East.
- 25:30Speaker 1: We don't stay. We can't stay. It's their homeland. We leave.
- 25:32Speaker 9: And no matter what we seem to put in there,
- 25:36Speaker 9: it doesn't seem to work.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:41Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 25:41Speaker 1: So what are your thoughts? I mean, when you see
- 25:43Speaker 1: the $ 5 gasoline and the inflation that comes from it,
- 25:47Speaker 1: do you think people have a resolve to say, let's
- 25:50Speaker 1: stay with it another month, even if it goes to
- 25:53Speaker 1: six bucks or whatever?
- 25:55Speaker 9: Well, I think if it goes to six bucks, Ronnie,
- 25:58Speaker 9: there's going to be such a cry from the people
- 26:00Speaker 9: that the president got to release the oil reserves. And
- 26:04Speaker 9: our governor, you know, I'm glad he's on his last term.
- 26:08Speaker 9: When the when the state legislature comes in and said. Hey,
- 26:12Speaker 9: let's reduce the sales tax on the gasoline.
- 26:15Speaker 4: The state tax.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Wait a minute.
- 26:19Speaker 9: This is my 15%. 15 cents.
- 26:21Speaker 1: No, no, no. You know what? I'll tell you this. Really,
- 26:25Speaker 1: that money goes for your roads and that kind of stuff.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I don't think the answer is relieving that tax at all.
- 26:34Speaker 1: This problem is real. so far beyond that right at
- 26:38Speaker 1: this point in time. I don't even know that... I
- 26:41Speaker 1: get tired of the strategic oil reserves, Vince, being used
- 26:44Speaker 1: for political purposes. The strategic oil reserves are there for
- 26:47Speaker 1: military purposes. Right. And they should... Now, they should stay
- 26:52Speaker 1: there for that. They should be used as a backup
- 26:55Speaker 1: to try to influence oil prices either up or down.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I'm kind of opposed to that. I want the strategic
- 27:01Speaker 1: oil reserves filled, capped off, left alone. And I don't
- 27:06Speaker 1: leave the state tax alone. Let these guys that created
- 27:09Speaker 1: this problem in the Trump administration figure out how to
- 27:13Speaker 1: fix it and what to do about it.
- 27:16Speaker 9: I think they ought to do like they promised during
- 27:18Speaker 9: this campaign, put four more refineries, two on each coast,
- 27:23Speaker 9: or five more refineries, two on each coast, and one
- 27:27Speaker 9: on the.
- 27:27Speaker 11: Gulf of America again. Do that commitment, and we can
- 27:31Speaker 11: do on our own oil. We have enough now that
- 27:34Speaker 11: we're selling it to other people. I mean, you know,
- 27:38Speaker 11: growing up, the price of gasoline was 20 cents a
- 27:41Speaker 11: gallon when I started to drive.
- 27:43Speaker 4: 20 cents a gallon.
- 27:45Speaker 9: And those people were making millions of dollars after that. Today,
- 27:48Speaker 9: at $ 5 a gallon, they're not making millions?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Well, they're going to have record profits.
- 27:54Speaker 11: They're going to have records.
- 27:55Speaker 9: We need someone like you, Ron, in Congress. I mean,
- 27:59Speaker 9: I know Rulers is doing a good job, but, you know,
- 28:02Speaker 9: come on.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Appreciate that, Vince. You know I do. Thank you, man.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Appreciate it. Truly my favorite Marine. News Radio 570. 541,
- 28:09Speaker 1: you're on the air. Hey, Ron. Yes. I'm looking forward
- 28:18Speaker 1: to your insight, please.
- 28:21Speaker 7: 183.
- 28:22Speaker 8: You know what that is?
- 28:25Speaker 1: 183?
- 28:25Speaker 8: Three days until the midterms. That's the war we're in.
- 28:32Speaker 5: You have to win the midterms.
- 28:35Speaker 8: The Patriot Movement, liberty and freedom has to win the midterms.
- 28:43Speaker 8: And that's all that matters. We're in the wrong war
- 28:45Speaker 8: right now. I do not care what Big Farmer Rich
- 28:49Speaker 8: or 007 Ted say. Okay, that was what you, your
- 28:53Speaker 8: discussion with Rich was great. And I wanted to vomit
- 28:58Speaker 8: every time he tried to come up with some reason
- 29:02Speaker 8: why we should be there. This he completely does not
- 29:07Speaker 8: understand history, recent history. Look what happened when Joe Biden
- 29:15Speaker 8: was inaugurated. That's all the farther.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Back you need to go.
- 29:20Speaker 8: Everything, all the gains that the American people made during
- 29:28Speaker 8: Trump's first term. were literally erased overnight. And I just.
- 29:35Speaker 5: You know, I don't know what it's going to take
- 29:40Speaker 5: to get out of this. If you don't want to
- 29:42Speaker 5: call it a war, whoever, a skirmish, I don't care.
- 29:45Speaker 5: It's the wrong objective.
- 29:50Speaker 8: I mean, how many more opportunities are we going to
- 29:53Speaker 8: have to save this country?
- 29:58Speaker 1: I think this is it.
- 30:01Speaker 8: Exactly.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Let me ask you this, though. Let me pick your
- 30:05Speaker 1: brain for a second. Here's what's troubling to me. Whether
- 30:13Speaker 1: or not why we got into this is worth debating.
- 30:18Speaker 1: We're in it. What's the game plan? What's the exit strategy?
- 30:23Speaker 1: What are we going to do about the straight? What
- 30:26Speaker 1: are we going to do about oil prices? All of
- 30:29Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. I get all of that. But
- 30:34Speaker 1: I'm in total agreement with what you said, folks. When
- 30:38Speaker 1: I hear Mike talk, the most important thing is, this
- 30:42Speaker 1: is what's ahead. You're going to..
- 30:46Speaker 8: There are no guarantees, you know, electing Republicans either.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I mean, I could never vote for any of the Democrats.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I don't believe... It troubles me that... they say, well,
- 30:59Speaker 1: the Democrats could win the midterms. I don't want to
- 31:02Speaker 1: go back to the Democrats of tampons in the male restroom,
- 31:06Speaker 1: and you can wish yourself a woman, and men can
- 31:09Speaker 1: get pregnant, and you can't define what a woman is,
- 31:12Speaker 1: and we're going to hire you based on anything but merit.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Are you black? Are you gay? Are you transgender? I
- 31:18Speaker 1: don't want to go back to that silliness. I don't
- 31:19Speaker 1: want to go back to another government program to help
- 31:25Speaker 1: everybody out. I don't want to go back to the...
- 31:29Speaker 1: Democrat philosophy, the far-left philosophy. So I could never vote
- 31:33Speaker 1: for that. They created this inflation, and they are to
- 31:39Speaker 1: blame for it. I could never vote for it in
- 31:42Speaker 1: support of it. So the idea that, let's say, the
- 31:47Speaker 1: midterms come and I would vote for Sherrod Brown or
- 31:50Speaker 1: whatever is ridiculous. I would never vote for any of
- 31:55Speaker 1: the Democrats that are running. I've seen what they've done.
- 31:58Speaker 4: They are the true destroyers of countries.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Right. But explain to me, because unfortunately I hate to
- 32:07Speaker 1: say it, most of you listening are informed voters. That's
- 32:11Speaker 1: why you listen to talk radio. That's why you read.
- 32:13Speaker 1: That's why you know what's going on. Most people who
- 32:15Speaker 1: vote are low-information voters. It's a popularity contest with them.
- 32:21Speaker 1: It's just like people that will be voting tomorrow. Most
- 32:24Speaker 1: people have no idea what's the difference between this candidate
- 32:27Speaker 1: and that candidate. They just kind of vote on name
- 32:30Speaker 1: recognition or location or whatever. It's not necessarily an informed vote.
- 32:36Speaker 1: So when you look at the midterms, it'll be, hey,
- 32:41Speaker 1: gas sucks. My world isn't good. I'm going to vote
- 32:44Speaker 1: for the Democrats. That's what troubles me, because then you're
- 32:48Speaker 1: right back to that lunacy. Do you agree with that?
- 32:52Speaker 8: I agree with that 100 percent, Ron. And, you know,
- 32:54Speaker 8: we've got plenty of lunacy here. in the Republican Party, too.
- 32:58Speaker 9: And right, but..
- 32:59Speaker 5: He points that out consistently, but..
- 33:03Speaker 1: But once you put the Democrats in charge, for the
- 33:06Speaker 1: next two years, everything will just come to a screeching
- 33:10Speaker 1: standstill of fixing this country and getting it on the
- 33:15Speaker 1: right path. It will be just... It will be stagnant,
- 33:19Speaker 1: and it will be... He will have screwed everything up.
- 33:22Speaker 8: I don't agree with stagnant, Ron. With the Democrats in charge,
- 33:26Speaker 8: we're going to go in reverse.
- 33:28Speaker 1: You're correct. I'm sorry. You are 100% correct.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:32Speaker 8: And stagnant might be the Republicans, the current Republicans. We
- 33:37Speaker 8: need more Thomas Massys and Marjorie Taylor Greene in Congress.
- 33:42Speaker 8: And I'm not going to say that that's the answer,
- 33:46Speaker 8: the 100% answer. But right now, under Donald Trump, we
- 33:50Speaker 8: are losing slower. But we are losing.
- 33:55Speaker 1: As far as losing the America First agenda.
- 33:59Speaker 5: We're losing the country.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 34:01Speaker 8: We're losing the country. If we don't get the America
- 34:03Speaker 8: First agenda back on track, we're done.
- 34:08Speaker 1: And the America First agenda is getting all these people
- 34:10Speaker 1: in your country that are here illegally out and affordability. Correct?
- 34:16Speaker 8: Elections. Elections right now are probably one of the most
- 34:20Speaker 8: critical things that we need to take care of.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Integrity in the system.
- 34:26Speaker 8: Yep, yep, correct.
- 34:29Speaker 1: All right, Ron.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Hey, I got to scoot.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Thank you. Appreciate your time and your insights. NewsRadio 570.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And Ron Furp, 547. Good to be with you here tonight.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Till 6, Rockport's Wealth Truth Investing Program with Joe Kovach
- 34:47Speaker 1: and Adam Stahlnaker coming your way after the break at
- 34:50Speaker 1: 6 on NewsRadio 570.
- 34:51Speaker 2: WKBN.
- 34:53Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 34:56Speaker 4: We're on.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Yes, go ahead, please.
- 35:00Speaker 4: You know who this is?
- 35:01Speaker 1: It's the unintelligent caller.
- 35:04Speaker 4: Well, the unintelligent caller is going to try to come
- 35:07Speaker 4: up with something intelligent.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Okay, I can hardly wait.
- 35:12Speaker 2: You're looking at.
- 35:13Speaker 4: This war wrong. The war is actually in three phases,
- 35:17Speaker 4: and everybody that calls in and everybody that talks about
- 35:21Speaker 4: it All they talk about is phase one, the war
- 35:25Speaker 4: and the bombing and this and that. It's in three phases.
- 35:29Speaker 6: And to get to phase three, the best phase, you.
- 35:32Speaker 4: Got to go through phase two. And to get to
- 35:35Speaker 4: phase two, you got to have phase one. Now, phase
- 35:40Speaker 4: one is we need a reason to have phase two
- 35:45Speaker 4: and phase three. The reason is what's going to scare
- 35:49Speaker 4: everybody in the world. is nuclear weapons. So what does
- 35:54Speaker 4: Donald Trump do? Everything is about nuclear weapons. Iran's not
- 35:58Speaker 4: going to get a nuclear weapon. Why is he telling
- 36:01Speaker 4: you that? Because the people with an eighth-grade mentality, that's
- 36:05Speaker 4: what they're going to believe. But Donald Trump, you know
- 36:09Speaker 4: how they say you're playing checkers. Well, checkers is phase one.
- 36:14Speaker 4: Phase three is the chess game, okay? So phase one, that's.
- 36:19Speaker 2: The war, okay?
- 36:22Speaker 4: He won the war. He wiped out the Navy. He
- 36:25Speaker 4: wiped out the Army. He wiped out everything in sight.
- 36:29Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, he stops at the
- 36:32Speaker 4: Straits of Hormuz and decides to have peace talks. Why
- 36:37Speaker 4: did he do that? Because that's phase two. He needed
- 36:42Speaker 4: the war. He needed you to believe there's nuclear weapons
- 36:46Speaker 4: so you can get to phase two. Phase two is
- 36:50Speaker 4: stopping all the oil transfer in the Strait of Hormuz.
- 36:55Speaker 9: Why?
- 36:56Speaker 4: Because that stops. He don't care about Iran. You know,
- 37:00Speaker 4: we don't care about what they yell or anything. It's
- 37:02Speaker 4: about China. It's about Russia. But mostly it's about Great Britain,
- 37:07Speaker 4: and it's about Luxembourg, Brussels, all the people that hold
- 37:11Speaker 4: our national debt. He's putting the squeeze on them. That's
- 37:15Speaker 4: phase two. So when you put the squeeze on them,
- 37:20Speaker 4: you get phase three, which is they're going to have
- 37:23Speaker 4: to buy the oil from us. You see? So you
- 37:27Speaker 4: can't just look at it as phase one, you know,
- 37:31Speaker 4: or like the war and we're losing gas prices are high. No,
- 37:35Speaker 4: it's going to be all right because who said 183
- 37:38Speaker 4: days until the midterms? Well, guess what's going to happen there?
- 37:43Speaker 4: He's going to.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Have it all solved.
- 37:45Speaker 4: He has a great, I call it, I heard another
- 37:48Speaker 4: podcaster call it the great reset. He's doing a reset
- 37:53Speaker 4: from the deep state. They're reset. You see what I mean?
- 37:57Speaker 4: There's a battle going on. And this is going to
- 38:00Speaker 4: be Donald Trump. He took Venezuela. We got their oil there.
- 38:03Speaker 4: He's going to control the Western Hemisphere. And to do this,
- 38:08Speaker 4: you're missing phase two and phase three when you talk
- 38:12Speaker 4: about this war.
- 38:13Speaker 1: There he is, the unintelligent caller trying to be intelligent.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on the air.
- 38:21Speaker 7: Good evening, Ron.
- 38:21Speaker 1: How are you? I'm very short on time.
- 38:24Speaker 12: Well, I got to tell you, a lot of what
- 38:26Speaker 12: was just said is right. I mean, the city of London,
- 38:28Speaker 12: you know, the globalists, that's all in the mix on
- 38:31Speaker 12: this thing. It is a larger strategy that's being played out,
- 38:36Speaker 12: and there are phases to it. And, you know, right
- 38:40Speaker 12: now we're just in this phase where we just can't
- 38:44Speaker 12: get control of the street. I think this is something
- 38:45Speaker 12: a lot of folks are missing.
- 38:47Speaker 1: No, wait, let me do a quick break, then I
- 38:49Speaker 1: want to come back to you, and you've got to
- 38:51Speaker 1: sum it up for the night, okay? Hang on. Back
- 38:53Speaker 1: with G2. Looking forward to his insight on it, and
- 38:58Speaker 1: you will hear it after this. 570 WKBN. All right,
- 39:03Speaker 1: Stadium GM in the heart of Salem is where I
- 39:06Speaker 1: want you to go for your next used or new car, truck,
- 39:09Speaker 1: or SUV and experience the difference that you'll find at
- 39:12Speaker 1: Stadium GM. It's just great customer service, and it's a
- 39:16Speaker 1: great philosophy of a dealership. I shared it with you
- 39:18Speaker 1: this afternoon, and I encourage you for your family to
- 39:22Speaker 1: not dread being in the car market, whether it's new
- 39:25Speaker 1: or used, but have some joy with your life, and
- 39:28Speaker 1: you'll find it when you go where they have all
- 39:30Speaker 1: makes and all models at Stadium GM, whether it's Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Chevy.
- 39:37Speaker 1: And with a dealership that appreciates your business, it's big
- 39:41Speaker 1: enough to offer you everything, yet small enough to get
- 39:43Speaker 1: to know you and treat you the right way. That's
- 39:45Speaker 1: what you get with Shorty Navarro, Mike Kudak, and the gang.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Service to sales at Stadium GM in the heart of Salem.
- 39:51Speaker 1: So keep that in mind. All right, G2. With limited time,
- 39:56Speaker 1: every day I'm hearing it, we got a deal, we
- 39:58Speaker 1: got a deal, there's no deal. Oil price went up today.
- 40:02Speaker 1: We're at $ 5 a gallon here. Talk about it.
- 40:06Speaker 7: This is not, as I've said many times, not a
- 40:08Speaker 7: linear process. There are going to be days with deals,
- 40:10Speaker 7: days with no deals. There are going to be a
- 40:11Speaker 7: lot of puts and takes. And you've got this internal
- 40:14Speaker 7: battle for control in Iran that is obviously going to
- 40:17Speaker 7: happen any time. you eliminate several layers of leadership in
- 40:20Speaker 7: both the military and civilian side. So none of this
- 40:23Speaker 7: volatility is surprising in that this is war, and it's
- 40:28Speaker 7: war with an enemy who's going through tremendous struggles for power.
- 40:33Speaker 7: So this is all normal. Now, Iran is certainly the
- 40:37Speaker 7: enemy in this particular battle. The bigger enemy, as I
- 40:41Speaker 7: think the unintelligent caller pointed to, is these globalists. And
- 40:44Speaker 7: whether you call them Mr. Global or the globalists or
- 40:47Speaker 7: the city of London... thirteen family however you said that's
- 40:50Speaker 7: what the reset is about they're saying we're going to
- 40:53Speaker 7: reset the world so that your borders mean nothing and
- 40:56Speaker 7: we control what you do through the review and the
- 40:58Speaker 7: world health organization and and trump and and some others
- 41:01Speaker 7: are saying we're going to have sovereign nations that are
- 41:04Speaker 7: run for the interest of our citizens and our citizens
- 41:06Speaker 7: are going to decide how they're run by voting for
- 41:09Speaker 7: the representatives that they want and so this battle is
- 41:12Speaker 7: critical i think as we go forward and come closer
- 41:15Speaker 7: to uh..
- 41:17Speaker 9: Uh..
- 41:18Speaker 2: The the uh..
- 41:19Speaker 7: The need for this decision in congress as we get
- 41:21Speaker 7: this decision in congress don't forget a pack has tremendous
- 41:25Speaker 7: power over congress and and a lot of members of
- 41:28Speaker 7: congress or israeli and and they are going to be
- 41:31Speaker 7: pushing hard to keep the war going i don't know
- 41:33Speaker 7: what pound of flesh what ransom we're gonna have to
- 41:35Speaker 7: pay to congress to get them to agree but i
- 41:38Speaker 7: suspect israel will demand the congress he'll and make uh...
- 41:43Speaker 7: and do it's bidding and keep this war going Now,
- 41:46Speaker 7: can we get the SAVE Act passed in the middle
- 41:48Speaker 7: of that?
- 41:48Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 41:49Speaker 7: But the next stage of the most critical battle, which
- 41:51Speaker 7: is the internal battle, far more important than Iran, is
- 41:53Speaker 7: the domestic fight. And the next step there is the midterms.
- 41:57Speaker 7: And we've got to get the SAVE Act passed. I
- 41:59Speaker 7: don't know where Israel stands on it, if they're against
- 42:00Speaker 7: it or for it. We should check in with AIPAC,
- 42:03Speaker 7: I suppose. But Americans have to demand that we get
- 42:07Speaker 7: the SAVE America Act so we can have legitimate elections
- 42:10Speaker 7: in the fall.
- 42:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Any other thoughts?
- 42:17Speaker 7: Well, there's a lot, but there's such limited time. I'll
- 42:19Speaker 7: tell you, the other thought is it's a beautiful late
- 42:21Speaker 7: spring day, and wherever you are, try to get a
- 42:24Speaker 7: few minutes outside and enjoy the air and sun because
- 42:28Speaker 7: it's beautiful.
- 42:29Speaker 1: Are you worried about the midterm, so because of gas
- 42:34Speaker 1: prices being high and could go higher, inflation coming back?
- 42:38Speaker 7: I think gas prices are a critical factor to a
- 42:41Speaker 7: huge number of voters that know nothing about what's going on,
- 42:44Speaker 7: as you said earlier. It's not, you know, we're not
- 42:45Speaker 7: talking about your listeners. We're talking about, you know, Joe Mainstreet.
- 42:49Speaker 7: They revel in their ignorance, and they'll vote on something
- 42:52Speaker 7: as simple as that. But the midterms are simply the
- 42:57Speaker 7: next domestic battle that has to be won. It's the
- 42:59Speaker 7: SAVE Act, then the midterms, and without one, you don't
- 43:02Speaker 7: get the other. So this is a really critical.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Battle, and I hope you look at it as that.
- 43:08Speaker 1: I hope we have more time to talk about it tomorrow. G2,
- 43:11Speaker 1: thank you. NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 43:17Speaker 3: From ABC News. I'm Mike Dabosky. A dramatic escalation in
- 43:22Speaker 3: fighting today around the Strait of Hormuz as the U.S.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Navy begins escorting commercial ships through the blockade. ABC News
- 43:29Speaker 3: foreign correspondent Tom Sufi Burridge reports from Tel Aviv.
- 43:32Speaker 13: Iran launches attacks both on the United Arab Emirates and
- 43:36Speaker 13: according to CENTCOM also firing cruise missiles at U.S. military
- 43:41Speaker 13: ships and aircraft. at cargo vessels near to the Strait
- 43:44Speaker 13: of Hormuz. CENTCOM saying all of those missiles were shot
- 43:47Speaker 13: down and none of the vessels were destroyed. And CENTCOM
- 43:50Speaker 13: also saying they destroyed six small Iranian gunboats.
- 43:54Speaker 3: Oil prices were up on the increased hostilities today as
- 43:57Speaker 3: the average price for a gallon of gas in the U.S.
- 44:00Speaker 3: now sits at over $ 4.
- 44:01Speaker 1: 40 a gallon.
- 44:02Speaker 3: Economist Joe Brusuella says Americans will feel that and not
- 44:06Speaker 3: just at the gas pump.
- 44:07Speaker 10: Think of everything that you buy that involves plastic. You
- 44:12Speaker 10: like your broccoli and plastic that you buy from Costco?
- 44:15Speaker 10: That's going to get more expensive. Hey, American moms, those
- 44:18Speaker 10: disposable diapers you get from Walmart, they're going to jump
- 44:21Speaker 10: in price, too. So we're going to get a little
- 44:24Speaker 10: bit of a modest inflation shock here.
- 44:27Speaker 3: Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito has issued a temporary stay
- 44:31Speaker 3: in a case involving Mifepristone, the popular abortion drug. ABC's
- 44:35Speaker 3: Devin Dwyer explains what's likely to come next.
- 44:37Speaker 14: Supreme Court basically has not taken a position just yet.
- 44:41Speaker 14: And what they're deciding is whether or not they think
- 44:43Speaker 14: the state of Louisiana is likely to prevail in challenging
- 44:48Speaker 14: the safety of how Mifepristone is distributed. So by next
- 44:52Speaker 14: week sometime, the Supreme Court is likely to weigh in
- 44:55Speaker 14: and either extend this state or snapping back to pre-2023 guidelines.
- 45:00Speaker 3: And it looks like the case between Blake Lively and
- 45:02Speaker 3: Justin Baldoni won't be going to trial. The two sides
- 45:06Speaker 3: engaged in a contentious legal fight over allegations of abuse
- 45:09Speaker 3: on a movie set have announced they've reached a settlement.
- 45:12Speaker 3: You're listening to ABC News.
