- 0:23Speaker 3: I was freezing leaving my house this morning.
- 0:25Speaker 4: I guess the good news is we don't have rain
- 0:27Speaker 4: or snow, so we're not going to Actually, no, that's
- 0:29Speaker 4: the worst news because the best part about it being
- 0:32Speaker 4: so cold is when it snows we can stay at home.
- 0:34Speaker 5: Well now we can snowball fight and all this, But
- 0:37Speaker 5: this morning, I'm just freezing.
- 0:39Speaker 2: That's all it is.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Anyway, good morning, Thank you for listening to the show.
- 0:42Speaker 4: Hopefully you're warm, and if you haven't left the house yet,
- 0:45Speaker 4: take a coat. It's gonna be cold for the next

- 0:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, just give it a week.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Welcome to the South, where mother nature is bipolar.
- 0:55Speaker 3: That is true. Yeah, make up your mind please.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Anyway, good morning, and how was your weekend?
- 1:01Speaker 4: Call the show or if you have drama, because we'll
- 1:04Speaker 4: do ask Alabama at seven o'clock.
- 1:06Speaker 2: That's where we get advice for you.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Eight three three five oh one, Bama is the number
- 1:10Speaker 4: to call the show.
- 1:10Speaker 2: That's eight three three five oh one two two six
- 1:13Speaker 2: y two. Good morning, it's what the hell headlines? What
- 1:17Speaker 2: the hell are you talking about?
- 1:19Speaker 4: On The Alabama Show, a pediatric dentist was arrested for
- 1:25Speaker 4: performing surgery while drunk.
- 1:28Speaker 1: What what do you would you know?
- 1:31Speaker 4: A pediatric is a dentist for kids. A dentist in
- 1:34Speaker 4: Texas was arrested for allegedly performing surgery while intoxicated at
- 1:39Speaker 4: a dental office. Kelly was also acting tipsy enough for
- 1:43Speaker 4: patients to call the police. That's the name of the dentist.
- 1:46Speaker 4: She failed a sobriety test and was arrested. Here's the
- 1:51Speaker 4: police department talking about it.
- 1:54Speaker 6: It's definitely a very unusual case. The caller alleged that
- 1:58Speaker 6: there was a dentist practicing and showing signs of intoxication.
- 2:03Speaker 6: They found Kelly Buck, who did exhibit signs of intoxication,
- 2:07Speaker 6: failed the field sobriety test.
- 2:09Speaker 2: With surgery on a kid.
- 2:11Speaker 3: This is what you get for drinking and drilling.
- 2:12Speaker 4: You don't know, that's not not when it comes to kids.
- 2:15Speaker 4: When I'm making jokes, that's just.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's super easy trivia with The Alabama Show.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Good morning, Andrew, are you calling to redeem yourself from
- 2:25Speaker 4: last week?
- 2:26Speaker 2: I am well, you know how it works.
- 2:28Speaker 4: You say your name is the buzzer, and producer Blake
- 2:31Speaker 4: you use your.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Name as the buzzer.
- 2:33Speaker 3: We'll see how that goes.
- 2:34Speaker 2: And then you give the answer.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Question number one, Andrew, what is the name of a
- 2:39Speaker 4: place that you go to see.
- 2:41Speaker 2: A lot of animals?
- 2:42Speaker 7: Andrew?
- 2:45Speaker 2: Good job, buddy. Next one, if you freeze water, what
- 2:48Speaker 2: do you get?
- 2:49Speaker 5: Blake?
- 2:50Speaker 2: Andrew Andrews have the answer? Oh huh, I know I'm
- 2:59Speaker 2: rigging it when and come on, Jesus, play along, buddy,
- 3:03Speaker 2: all right. Last one, what's the color of a school bus? Blake?
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yellow?
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yellow? Good job, Andrew, just qualify.
- 3:11Speaker 8: What congratulations Andrew, you are smarter than Producer Blake.
- 3:25Speaker 2: That little taste of redemption taste so good.
- 3:29Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the
- 3:32Speaker 1: Element Show.
- 3:32Speaker 4: We're going to be soon getting pedestrian access on the
- 3:35Speaker 4: Hollywood Boulevard overpass above two eighty. If you've ever driven
- 3:39Speaker 4: over that bridge, you know it is such a pain.
- 3:42Speaker 4: So this is going to be between Homewood and Mountain Brook.
- 3:44Speaker 4: There's going to be a protected pedestrian access on the bridge,
- 3:47Speaker 4: plus an additional turn lane and a new traffic light
- 3:50Speaker 4: for better traffic control. Hopefully that will be done by
- 3:53Speaker 4: spring of twenty twenty seven. Mister Clean is retiring, he
- 3:57Speaker 4: posted on Instagram. He said, if you're reading this, the
- 4:00Speaker 4: rumors are true. I'm saying goodbye to the world of
- 4:02Speaker 4: cleaning in pursuit of new hobbies.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Stay Clean. Mister Clean has been around.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Since nineteen fifty eight. Procter and Gamble says there won't
- 4:11Speaker 4: be any significant branding or product changes, but they do
- 4:15Speaker 4: say to stay tuned to find.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Out what is next for mister Clean.
- 4:19Speaker 4: And Eric Dane's wife and girlfriends boke.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Up after his passing. Wife and girlfriend Yes, they.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Both broke their silence after he passed away. Eric Dane
- 4:28Speaker 4: is most known as Mcstemi or Mark Sloan from Gray's Anatomy.
- 4:31Speaker 4: He passed away last week from a battle with ALS.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Rebecca Gayheart, his wife issued a statement saying, I'm so
- 4:37Speaker 4: blown away by the outpouring of love and support from
- 4:39Speaker 4: our community. His girlfriend posted some photos of them on
- 4:42Speaker 4: her Instagram story, Janelle Shirtcliffe. He and his wife are separated.
- 4:47Speaker 4: They separated in twenty eighteen. Oh they can't sold the
- 4:52Speaker 4: divorce once he was diagnosed with ALS, and Rebecca had
- 4:55Speaker 4: said in an interview at the time that she was
- 4:57Speaker 4: going to stay around and help him to be a
- 5:00Speaker 4: role model for their daughters and that they would always
- 5:02Speaker 4: be the best of friends. So she knew about the girlfriend.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I think she had a boyfriend too.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Okay, okay, this is all making more sense.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I know people were very confused over the weekend when
- 5:12Speaker 4: they started seeing all the posts, but that is how
- 5:14Speaker 4: it was. That's three things you need to know more
- 5:17Speaker 4: at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 5:20Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Man Caroline, good morning, what's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 5:27Speaker 7: Can I ask my friend to pay me back for
- 5:29Speaker 7: the one she drink while house sitting.
- 5:31Speaker 4: That's why we do ask Alabama. Call the show if
- 5:33Speaker 4: you ever have an issue. Eight three three five I
- 5:35Speaker 4: one and Bama is the number. Let me make sure
- 5:37Speaker 4: I got this right. Your friend drank some wine while
- 5:41Speaker 4: she was house sitting for you.
- 5:43Speaker 7: Yep, it was like really nice wine. So I went
- 5:45Speaker 7: out to talk for the week and my friend watched
- 5:47Speaker 7: my house and my cat for the weekend, and I
- 5:50Speaker 7: had told her that she helped herself to whatever was
- 5:53Speaker 7: in the kitchen, So like in myndset, that was like
- 5:56Speaker 7: snacks and like, you know, normal small stuff. Yeah, and
- 6:00Speaker 7: I did pay her to house it. And then I
- 6:02Speaker 7: get back and realize that she had opened a one
- 6:04Speaker 7: hundred and twenty dollars bottle of wine that I've been
- 6:06Speaker 7: saving for a special occasion.
- 6:07Speaker 2: What did she.
- 6:08Speaker 7: Drink the whole thing? Blame minute while watching Netflix.
- 6:11Speaker 2: You had a one hundred and twenty dollars bottle of
- 6:14Speaker 2: wine and your friend.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Who you paid to house it, drank the whole bottle
- 6:18Speaker 4: of wine.
- 6:19Speaker 7: She literally drank the whole thing alone while watching Netflix.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Oh my god, did you say something to her about it?
- 6:25Speaker 7: I did say something to her about it, and she
- 6:27Speaker 7: got weird and said that I gave her permission because
- 6:30Speaker 7: the wine was in the kitchen.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But like you said, help yourself to anything in the kitchen.
- 6:34Speaker 7: Yeah, Like, who drinks one hundred dollars bottle of wine
- 6:37Speaker 7: without asking first?
- 6:38Speaker 2: So what did you do?
- 6:39Speaker 8: Well?
- 6:39Speaker 7: I said her a Venmo request for eighty dollars. I
- 6:42Speaker 7: just heard a discount on the wine. And now she's
- 6:44Speaker 7: texting our whole friend group that I'm like Paki and
- 6:47Speaker 7: a bad house, and I'm just like, am I wrong here?
- 6:50Speaker 2: And you, blake, you would do this? You said help yourself.
- 6:55Speaker 3: You literally say help yourself except for the wine. Why
- 6:58Speaker 3: don't you send you.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Anything in the kitchen?
- 7:00Speaker 5: This is on.
- 7:00Speaker 2: You may be fair, but she already paid her. You
- 7:03Speaker 2: paid her right, You paid her to watch her house.
- 7:06Speaker 4: YEP, I would be mad if somebody drank my expensive wine.
- 7:10Speaker 2: You should know better.
- 7:11Speaker 4: If I was at somebody's house and I saw something expensive,
- 7:15Speaker 4: like really nice chocolates or expensive one, I would totally
- 7:18Speaker 4: ask before I did it.
- 7:20Speaker 5: You make it clear what you want to save for
- 7:23Speaker 5: yourself if you are offering stuff to them, this makes
- 7:26Speaker 5: no sense. While we're losing it over, I get.
- 7:30Speaker 2: It's not losing it. She's asking for her money back.
- 7:33Speaker 2: That's losing it.
- 7:34Speaker 5: You offered her that wine when you said help yourself, Well, dud,
- 7:38Speaker 5: hold on, let's learn what help means.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Help yourself means.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Go at it. Collasha eight three three five x one,
- 7:45Speaker 2: Bama is the number?
- 7:46Speaker 4: Has anybody ever watched your house and then eaten or
- 7:49Speaker 4: drank something expensive of yours?
- 7:51Speaker 2: And do you think that Caroline is wrong for asking
- 7:55Speaker 2: for her money back? Eight three three five oh one
- 7:57Speaker 2: two two six two.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You are listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Caroline let her friend house it. Caroline said, help yourself
- 8:05Speaker 4: to everything in the kitchen. She did not think that
- 8:07Speaker 4: her friend would drink the one hundred and twenty dollars
- 8:09Speaker 4: bottle of wine that she had been saving, So Caroline
- 8:13Speaker 4: build her friend eighty dollars. She discounted the wine for
- 8:17Speaker 4: her friend.
- 8:17Speaker 2: To pay her back.
- 8:18Speaker 4: Also, I think it's important to know that Caroline paid
- 8:21Speaker 4: her friends separately to house it. Call the show yourself,
- 8:26Speaker 4: help yourself. Caroline's friend is mad about it. Eight three
- 8:29Speaker 4: three five I one Bama is the number, Amanda, good morning.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Would you charge your friend for the wine or no?
- 8:35Speaker 7: I wouldn't because Lake Blake said, she did say help yourself,
- 8:40Speaker 7: say anything in the kitchen. And what kind of friend
- 8:42Speaker 7: build their friend for drinking wine? You can replace the wine,
- 8:47Speaker 7: you can't replace a friend.
- 8:48Speaker 4: I mean that's a good point. But she also paid
- 8:50Speaker 4: her friend. What kind of friend drink somebody else's expensive wine?
- 8:54Speaker 7: Well, I don't think she did it to be like sneaky.
- 8:57Speaker 7: I don't think she did it to be mean or anything.
- 8:59Speaker 7: I think she genuinely just thought, help yourself.
- 9:02Speaker 4: Blake, if you ever watched my house, don't ever help yourself.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Don't need anything don't touch a thing.
- 9:08Speaker 3: But you're saying it now.
- 9:10Speaker 2: She did not. There's a difference, that's true.
- 9:13Speaker 7: Yeah, she should have laid out those rules like it,
- 9:16Speaker 7: just don't touch my line. You can have anything.
- 9:18Speaker 4: Else, Amanda. That's a great point. Thank you for calling.
- 9:22Speaker 2: You're welcome. You guys, have a good day.
- 9:24Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the
- 9:26Speaker 1: Elemma Show.
- 9:27Speaker 4: A Birmingham based coffee was just named among the world's
- 9:31Speaker 4: best again. Domestic coffee in Homewood ranked forty three on
- 9:36Speaker 4: a list of the world's best one hundred coffee shops.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Last year they were forty seven, so they went up
- 9:40Speaker 4: a few slots. You can buy their coffee online to
- 9:43Speaker 4: embrew it at home if you've never tried it.
- 9:44Speaker 2: So.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Kelly Clarkson made the decision to leave her talk show,
- 9:49Speaker 4: and she says it's because her family dynamic changed following
- 9:52Speaker 4: the passing of her ex husband. She says, it's one
- 9:55Speaker 4: of those things when you kind of start seeing life
- 9:57Speaker 4: is how precious it is. She's ending her talk show
- 10:00Speaker 4: after the current season, which is the seventh season. She said,
- 10:03Speaker 4: I still have other jobs, I'm still doing stuff. There
- 10:06Speaker 4: was just too much on my plate. Kelly is a
- 10:08Speaker 4: judge on the new season of the Voice, so we
- 10:10Speaker 4: will still see her on TV.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And Duncan is.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Now selling forty eight ounce buckets of coffee, the full Bucket.
- 10:18Speaker 4: It's a well, a forty eight ounce bucket of coffee.
- 10:21Speaker 4: They're testing it out right now in New England. So
- 10:24Speaker 4: forty eight ounces is twice the size of a Venti
- 10:27Speaker 4: at Starbucks if you needed a reference. But it's literally
- 10:30Speaker 4: in a little bucket with a handle and then a
- 10:32Speaker 4: lid and a hole for your straw. It costs ten dollars.
- 10:35Speaker 4: The only problem people are noticing right now, yeah, is
- 10:39Speaker 4: it's too big to fit in a cup holder.
- 10:41Speaker 3: That is so yes, that was my first thought.
- 10:43Speaker 4: Ye, so drive at your own risk if they if
- 10:46Speaker 4: they start selling it nationwide. I mean, some people need
- 10:48Speaker 4: a bucket of coffee. I need a bucket of coffee
- 10:50Speaker 4: every day. That's three things you need to know. More
- 10:54Speaker 4: At the Alabama Show dot com.
- 10:56Speaker 1: We're listening to The Alabama Show on.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Demand and Fizz fire crews are what's awesome today.
- 11:03Speaker 3: I agree one hundred percent.
- 11:04Speaker 2: You don't even know why yet.
- 11:06Speaker 3: I just love the firefighter I do too.
- 11:08Speaker 4: They installed almost three thousand free smoke detectors. Last weekend
- 11:12Speaker 4: during the city wide smoke detector and fire safety Blitz,
- 11:15Speaker 4: they were going through neighborhoods and literally like putting free
- 11:18Speaker 4: smoke detectors in people's house because I could literally save
- 11:21Speaker 4: a life.
- 11:22Speaker 3: That is freaking amazing.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And imagine how long it took them to install three
- 11:26Speaker 4: thousand free smoke detectors.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Three thousand, I was like a whole week.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Other word I love that is that is really awesome.
- 11:33Speaker 2: So thank you.
- 11:34Speaker 4: If you are a Memphis fire crew and you're listening
- 11:36Speaker 4: to the show, we appreciate you. Also, if you have
- 11:38Speaker 4: good news, you can always call and share yours. Eight
- 11:41Speaker 4: three three five oh one BAMA is the number.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama show. The following program
- 11:47Speaker 1: is on demand.
- 11:48Speaker 4: We have two students from Sanford who are making it
- 11:52Speaker 4: to American Idol, two of them.
- 11:54Speaker 2: That is what's awesome.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Yes, we had a transfer student and then another one
- 11:58Speaker 4: who actually left school to pursue his dreams. They both passed,
- 12:02Speaker 4: So Alex Kennedy and Jackson White keep a lookout for them.
- 12:06Speaker 2: They didn't make the audition.
- 12:08Speaker 4: Episodes, but they both got a golden ticket and so
- 12:11Speaker 4: they're going to go on to the next stage, so
- 12:13Speaker 4: look for them in the upcoming episodes. They both went
- 12:17Speaker 4: to Sanford, So we got some.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Hometown modols to brag about. Let's go, let's support.
- 12:22Speaker 4: I mean literally, we have so many people come out
- 12:24Speaker 4: of Birmingham.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Rubens, Studdard, Taylor Hicks.
- 12:27Speaker 3: We got a lot, don't we.
- 12:29Speaker 4: I know, Birmingham is full of talent and we love that.
- 12:32Speaker 4: If you have good news, call the show. Eight three
- 12:34Speaker 4: three five oh one. BAMA is the number.
- 12:37Speaker 2: That's eight three three five oh one two two six two.
- 12:40Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on dement.
- 12:43Speaker 4: If you have a hidden talent, or if you have
- 12:46Speaker 4: ever been in.
- 12:47Speaker 2: A talent show, called the show.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Eight three three five oh one BAMA is the number.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Tell us what your talent is.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Because Producer Blake's going to be a part of a
- 12:54Speaker 4: talent show tomorrow.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I've kind of got a hidden talent.
- 12:58Speaker 4: We signed him up to be a back up dancer
- 13:00Speaker 4: for this eight year old John who has called in
- 13:04Speaker 4: and said that he's going to be in the talent show.
- 13:06Speaker 4: And John and Producer Blake practiced their dance routine over
- 13:10Speaker 4: the weekend.
- 13:11Speaker 2: John's on the line, John, Good Morning, how do.
- 13:13Speaker 4: You think that practice went over the weekend with producer Blake?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Amazing? Okay, you think he's gonna do good? Are you
- 13:20Speaker 2: confident tomorrow that he will help you win?
- 13:24Speaker 4: Ma'am?
- 13:25Speaker 3: We're gonna win.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 13:27Speaker 4: What do.
- 13:28Speaker 2: You think he needs to work on John?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Nothing?
- 13:32Speaker 2: Okay, he gets it all right, I'll tell you what.
- 13:35Speaker 2: John showed up and started dancing. You have some moves.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Where did you learn how to dance that? Like that?
- 13:42Speaker 2: I learned it?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Good answer?
- 13:48Speaker 4: Okay, Okay, well look I'm so excited. So tomorrow there
- 13:54Speaker 4: can just keep a lookout for videos. If you're listening
- 13:56Speaker 4: to the show and you want to see the most
- 13:58Speaker 4: amazing dance ever.
- 13:59Speaker 2: I think this is going to be there, rightest thing?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Are you ready for tomorrow? Are you nervous? Yeah? And
- 14:04Speaker 2: what are you singing again? You want to give us

- 14:46Speaker 1: What?
- 14:47Speaker 2: How did you figure that? How did you figure that out.
- 14:50Speaker 2: So it's actually funny story because like my dad can
- 14:53Speaker 2: do it.
- 14:54Speaker 7: But one day I was in his foreign I was
- 14:56Speaker 7: just in the mirror and and I just was making
