  How you guys doing? Thanks for having me.

  Well, we're happy to have you, man.

  And there's a lot of stuff going on in the NBA and now we're
• 2:48
  hearing in the UFC, so it seems like it's flustering in many
• 2:53
  different ways in many different sports.
• 2:55
  I'm flustered. I, I wrote a story about Dana
• 2:58
  White. So maybe it's just me.

  Maybe I just caused a lot of trouble for the the UFC, Maybe
• 3:03
  not. I'm trying to give myself some
• 3:06
  kind of pat on the back. But you've been on, you know,
• 3:10
  you've been on different shows around the country and you've
• 3:13
  been talking about sports betting and sports betting is
• 3:15
  really controlled, I think professional sports for more
• 3:19
  than 50 years. It's been around forever.
• 3:22
  And you, you've been behind it for a very, very long time.
• 3:26
  You've, you've done time because of it.
• 3:30
  First of all, I want to get into your career and how you got into
• 3:34
  refereeing. I know your father was a referee
• 3:36
  in college sports and and the and the and the NBA.
• 3:41
  Tell us a little bit about what made you become a referee and
• 3:45
  the, you know, the back end of your career before you became a
• 3:49
  referee. My dad was a top college
• 3:51
  basketball referee. My uncle, Billy Oakes, was an
• 3:53
  NBA ref, and I came from Howard Town, Pennsylvania, where there
• 3:57
  were, you know, four or five other NBA referees, Callahan
• 4:01
  Crawford, Javi Wunderlich and, you know, a situation where, you
• 4:07
  know, we all kind of just grew up in that area and had the
• 4:10
  ability to, you know, listen and learn from each other.
• 4:14
  And with that, I just decided to pursue, you know, in their
• 4:19
  footsteps. And I was fortunate enough to
• 4:20
  get in a training program and eventually, at age 26, get hired
• 4:24
  by the NBA. Now, David Stern is a guy that
• 4:27
  was very well respected for NBA fans.
• 4:31
  I I respected David Stern. He he really chant transition
• 4:35
  the NBA to what it is today and gave it to Adam Silver.
• 4:39
  And now I believe it's the LJA. It's not the NBA.
• 4:42
  It's called the LeBron James Association because it seems
• 4:45
  like everything is run by run through LeBron James, as we all
• 4:49
  know, as we watched Luka Donja get traded out of nowhere last
• 4:53
  year at the trade deadline when everybody was shocked and
• 4:55
  surprised. Tell us a little bit about your
• 4:57
  connections with David Stern. Obviously David Stern was, you
• 5:02
  know, the the commissioner of the the NBA.
• 5:04
  When you were a referee in the NBA, what type of commissioner
• 5:08
  was he in the NBA? You know, really I didn't have
• 5:11
  any interaction with him, but I can just tell you, you know,
• 5:14
  with the situation that I was involved with and the FBI agents
• 5:17
  getting involved, they said that he was his worse than any other
• 5:22
  mob boss I ever investigated. They just said he was ruthless,
• 5:25
  and he was just, you know, conniving.
• 5:27
  And he was manipulative. And, you know, they just said
• 5:31
  that he was, you know, worse than any mob boss they ever
• 5:34
  investigated. And he was somebody that, you
• 5:37
  know, did a lot of things behind the scenes to, you know, benefit
• 5:41
  himself in the NBA. July 20th, 2007 The New York
• 5:45
  Post columnist Mr. Wise first reported the investigation into
• 5:49
  your situation and from the bets from NBA games from 2005 and
• 5:56
  2007. Tell us a little bit about that
• 5:59
  situation. Well, when I started the gamble,
• 6:01
  and I just started the gamble on college events and then
• 6:05
  eventually pro events and then, you know, start the bet on a lot
• 6:10
  of events that were taking place with a buddy of mine named Jack
• 6:13
  and Cannon. And then from there, you know,
• 6:15
  when I had information on NBA games, I told him about that.
• 6:18
  And then eventually, even NBA games that I officiated, when,
• 6:22
  you know, inside information became talked about in the
• 6:26
  meetings, I would take that information.
• 6:28
  And if I felt the line was four or five points off, I would tell
• 6:32
  certain people to bet the games. And, you know, they were doing
• 6:35
  well betting the games and passing the information along to
• 6:39
  people associated with organized crime.
• 6:40
  And, you know, they started to use it.
• 6:43
  And then when I wanted to stop doing it, they, you know, had
• 6:46
  somebody come and pick me up and tell me that we weren't going to
• 6:49
  stop, that I was going to continue to give them the picks
• 6:51
  that I had been given, you know, to a buddy of mine.
• 6:54
  Everybody talks about the, the integrity of the game and, and
• 6:57
  what the game really brings to the world and, and all the
• 7:01
  international people and and players that have come over the
• 7:04
  last couple of years. Now, Tim, you look at the game
• 7:08
  and you look to transition of the game.
• 7:10
  Obviously the Chauncey Bill is Bill up story is the big one.
• 7:13
  When you look at Chauncey Bill UPS, he's very well respected
• 7:17
  around the league. He's a coach.
• 7:18
  I and you hear these stories about the the scandal that he
• 7:22
  was in with the glasses and and working with the Gambino family
• 7:27
  or the four families that were involved in all these different
• 7:30
  stories. When you heard Chauncey Phillips
• 7:33
  name get brought up into that story, what what were your
• 7:36
  thoughts to it? You know, just kind of shocked
• 7:38
  that, you know, an active NBA coach was involved in poker
• 7:42
  games and mourn people there, you know, for the purpose of
• 7:45
  basically robbing them. So kind of shocking that he was
• 7:48
  involved in that and some of the other things of, you know,
• 7:52
  basically giving information about what was going to go on in
• 7:55
  a game he was involved with, if they were going to tank or not.
• 7:59
  And if certain star players weren't playing, you know, he
• 8:02
  was passing that information along too.
• 8:04
  So, you know, it was kind of shocking that it got to the
• 8:07
  point where, you know, he was doing stuff like that.
• 8:10
  I've gone back and forth with the Terra Rozier thing because
• 8:13
  the NBA were investigating and then let him play.
• 8:17
  Porter was pretty much thrown to the wolves.
• 8:20
  I believe the NBA did that to you because I think there were
• 8:22
  other people involved in your scandal and they really pushed
• 8:27
  it on you. I believe the NBA protected
• 8:30
  themselves and didn't protect you.
• 8:32
  And I heard different stories behind it.
• 8:35
  When you think of the NBA after what the NBA did to you and and
• 8:40
  you see what the NBA is dealing with right now, what do you
• 8:42
  think of the NBA after the fact that they point, they pointed
• 8:46
  the finger at you and nobody else?
• 8:48
  Right. I mean, I have a text message
• 8:50
  from an FBI agent that said, hey, Tim, doesn't look like
• 8:53
  they're going to be able to cover this up like they did in
• 8:55
  your situation. So, you know, I think that, you
• 8:59
  know, definitely they covered a lot up.
• 9:01
  There was other people that I know the FBI wanted to indict.
• 9:04
  And it just seems like the prosecutor who later went to
• 9:09
  work at a law firm that got all the outside legal counsel work,
• 9:14
  you know, from the NBA since he went there, you know, seem to
• 9:17
  be, you know, running the investigation with David Stern.
• 9:20
  So, you know, it's just, you know, a lot of strange things
• 9:23
  definitely go on in regard to the NBA and how they conduct
• 9:26
  business. We are talking to former 14 year
• 9:29
  NBA referee, author of the book Personal Foul, Tim Donaghy.

  Everybody knows him and, and, and to me, I don't know.
• 9:37
  I haven't checked out your book. I'm definitely going to buy it.
• 9:40
  It came out in 2009. Tell us a little bit about the
• 9:43
  book. And did you actually write it
• 9:45
  when you were in jail? I did.
• 9:47
  I wrote it when I was in jail, would mail each chapter back to
• 9:52
  my mom, who would type it up nice and neat and then mail it
• 9:55
  back to me. And then we just put the whole
• 9:57
  thing together and thankfully got it published when the NBA
• 10:00
  went into, you know, the offices of Random House, who was going
• 10:04
  to print the book and basically threaten them and when in the
• 10:08
  offices of 60 minutes and and asked them not to air the
• 10:11
  episode right before we published a book.
• 10:13
  So, you know, it's just a lot of the underhanded things that,
• 10:17
  like you said, David Stern was involved with and, and and doing
• 10:20
  to me. Well, we all know what happened
• 10:23
  with the New York Knicks and there were stories coming out
• 10:26
  that the reason why the the Knicks won the lottery with
• 10:30
  Patrick Ewing is because the card was cold and he pulled it
• 10:34
  out and the Knicks won. Patrick Ewing and the Knicks
• 10:36
  have never gotten the number one pick since then.
• 10:38
  They've been really, really bad. So I could believe that there's
• 10:42
  something behind the NBA and David Stern over the years, and
• 10:46
  I believe Adam Silver let's the players run the league.
• 10:48
  It's been a big problem over the last couple of years, as I call
• 10:52
  it, not the NBA and anybody that listens to the show.
• 10:54
  I call it the LJA, the LeBron James Association, because it
• 10:57
  seems like everything goes through LeBron James with all of
• 11:01
  the different things that have happened in the league,
• 11:03
  including picking the United States basketball team as he
• 11:09
  didn't want certain players to be on the team and they were not
• 11:12
  picked to be on the team. I don't know if it's a winky
• 11:15
  dink, but it seems like it is. But that's a whole nother story.
• 11:19
  You you talk about the Mafia and the five, the four families that
• 11:24
  were caught behind this scandal with the Billups, the Jones and
• 11:28
  the Rozier story. You were tied up with the
• 11:32
  Gambino family. Tell us a little bit about the
• 11:34
  Gambino family and how you were tied up with them.
• 11:36
  You know, there was just a buddy of mine I went to high school
• 11:39
  with and he knew this guy that also went to our high school.
• 11:43
  And, you know, when I wasn't given the pics anymore to a
• 11:46
  buddy of mine, I didn't know behind my back he was getting
• 11:50
  them. And this guy was associated with
• 11:52
  organized crime and wanted to continue to get those picks.
• 11:55
  So he just, you know, set a meeting up with Tommy Martino.
• 11:59
  And when I was in Philadelphia, the referee, the Sixers and the
• 12:03
  Celtics, and basically showed up at my hotel and said he had
• 12:07
  known what I had been doing for years and he wanted to continue
• 12:11
  to get those picks. And if I didn't give him the
• 12:13
  picks, you know, he'd have somebody, you know, expose me to
• 12:17
  the NBA for the Game 1 I had done in the past because I
• 12:19
  wasn't supposed to place the bed of any kind.
• 12:22
  Or worse yet, have somebody visit my wife and kids in
• 12:25
  Florida. College basketball is, we had
• 12:28
  Brendan Snyder on on Monday and he was talking about how
• 12:30
  important college basketball is when it comes to signing
• 12:34
  autographs and getting these players now with the NIL deals
• 12:37
  and and the way these players can make money now off their own
• 12:40
  autographs, he says. That's where everything's
• 12:42
  transitioning in. Do you believe that sports
• 12:45
  betting is going to transition even more into college sports
• 12:48
  and why? I don't think it is.
• 12:49
  I think it's going to come to a little bit of a hope because I
• 12:52
  think it just exploded so quick. And the benefits of the league's
• 12:56
  bottom line because of being involved with these gambling
• 13:00
  sites now, I think moved way too fast.
• 13:03
  And I think at the college level, they want to try to keep
• 13:06
  it away from the student athletes as much as possible.
• 13:09
  So, you know, I think it's they're going to have to find
• 13:11
  some type of way to slow this down a little bit, get these
• 13:14
  prop bets under control so that, you know, more players don't,
• 13:19
  you know, end up doing what these guys did.
• 13:21
  And I think you're going to find out that more players whose
• 13:24
  names are been even been released yet are involved in
• 13:26
  this. So I think there's more to it
• 13:28
  and I think it's just not out yet.
• 13:30

  Yeah. No, there's been I think 4 guys
• 13:37
  this year in baseball too. And Arrow brings up college
• 13:40
  basketball. Do you think that in other
• 13:43
  sports have we seen in baseball now, do you think it is, is
• 13:46
  going to become as prevalent in, in, in the other sports as kind
• 13:49
  of we're seeing, you know, what they're like making an example
• 13:53
  out of the NBA now that we're going to see a little bit more
• 13:56
  come to the forefront in the other sports as well?
• 13:58
  You know, I think it happens in all sports.

  I think right now it's the NBA who was exposed and and under
• 14:06
  the fire. I think with this, you may find
• 14:08
  out that there's other people in other sports involved and it's
• 14:11
  just the the tip of the iceberg right now.

  So I think there's a lot more to come with this, to be honest
• 14:16
  with you. We are talking to former 14 year
• 14:19
  NBA referee, author of the book Personal Foul, Tim Donaghy.

  He has been all over over the last couple of weeks speaking

  about this sports betting and now you're hearing something
• 14:31
  that the UFC has to investigate and Dana White baseball has
• 14:36
  dealt with this over the last couple of years.

  The share Otani story. I'm sure you heard about the
• 14:41
  Share Otani story and the FBI. The FBI was involved with it.
• 14:46
  They investigated it for two weeks.
• 14:47
  And there were so many offshore accounts.
• 14:49
  There was so much money involved in this.
• 14:51
  As a matter of fact, some people say at first they were saying
• 14:55
  between 15 and 18,000,000. Now they're saying between 25
• 14:58
  and 30 million. And there's five different
• 15:01
  accountants or four different accountants Share Otani goes to
• 15:04
  when it comes to his money. And it's really surprising that
• 15:09
  Share Otani didn't know that there was $25 million missing
• 15:13
  out of his account down. I know he's a very rich man.
• 15:15
  I know he's an international superstar, but it's it's it's
• 15:18
  pretty interesting when you hear a story like this and you look
• 15:22
  at Pete Rose and Tim, you know, Pete Rose, I'm sure you're a
• 15:25
  Pete Rose fan who never has been inducted into Hall of Fame
• 15:29
  because he bet on baseball bet for his team against other teams
• 15:33
  when he was a manager and was never really allowed to be
• 15:36
  brought back in baseball. When you look at that situation
• 15:39
  that baseball had to deal with with Jay Otani, do you think
• 15:42
  they did the right thing? Do you think they investigated
• 15:44
  it deeper or they should have? I think they should have
• 15:48
  investigated it deeper, but do you think they investigated deep
• 15:51
  enough when it came to Sheila Tani?
• 15:53
  No, because I don't think there's any way that, you know,
• 15:56
  he didn't realize $30 million was missing out of his bank
• 15:59
  account. I think the Major League
• 16:01
  Baseball know for a fact that he was involved in it and they
• 16:05
  don't want to kill, kill the golden goose who's bringing them
• 16:08
  global attention, you know, at this point.
• 16:11
  So I think that they covered this whole thing up.
• 16:13
  I don't think there's any doubt that, you know, he was involved
• 16:16
  in placing these bets on on these games.

  A. Guy that you know well and Scott
• 16:19
  Foster, another referee that I allegedly was caught in in this,
• 16:23
  but then they said he wasn't. He was not charged with
• 16:25
  anything. There was a lot of these false
• 16:27
  reports, but I know you're close with him.
• 16:29
  Do you know anything about any other referees that might be
• 16:32
  connected in the modern game now?
• 16:33
  And what do you think the NBA should do to approach it now?
• 16:36
  No, no, I can't tell if anybody else is, you know, involved in,
• 16:40
  in gambling at this point. I really couldn't hear him.
• 16:42
  But yeah, I, I, you know, Foster was a friend of mine and, you
• 16:47
  know, as far as him being involved in this, you know, he
• 16:50
  definitely wasn't involved in any way, shape or form with
• 16:53
  myself. They obviously probably approach
• 16:55
  you when does like the FBI and it go like to the next step of
• 16:58
  just not just the NBA, but getting authorities involved
• 17:02
  after that. I'm not sure what you mean, but
• 17:04
  they, you know, the FBI got involved do an investigation of
• 17:08
  a game being a wiretap. And I guess that's how they
• 17:11
  heard of, you know, our entire situation.
• 17:13
  And from there, once I had known that an investigation started, I
• 17:18
  kind of went to them and had an attorney call them.
• 17:21
  Tim, you look at the FBI and the FBI has they investigated your
• 17:24
  case and they dug deep into your case and now you're looking at
• 17:29
  Chauncey, Bill, UPS, Brozier and Jones.
• 17:31
  And they were kind of grading where these guys were.
• 17:34
  I mean, honestly, they're saying Jones is going to get the smack
• 17:38
  it down late on him because they think he was involved with all
• 17:41
  three situations. Rozier betting on games and
• 17:46
  actually shaving off points. That was really bad.
• 17:49
  And they say Chauncey Billups, he might see jail time, he might
• 17:52
  not. It depends on how they can
• 17:54
  investigate it and pin it on him because there are things that
• 17:58
  maybe might not be able to be pinned on him.

  When you look at both three of these guys.

  And like you said, there are other guys that are are involved
• 18:06
  with it. You've heard that Kevin Garnett
• 18:07
  was at these games that was robbed.
• 18:10
  You've heard of other NBA players that have been shown
• 18:13
  that's shown up to these betting games in these these games?
• 18:17
  Do you think that the NBA is going to pull out even bigger
• 18:21
  names involved in this case? I think they're going to do
• 18:24
  whatever they can to minimize the damage and minimize the
• 18:27
  names that come out from this. But unlike the situation with
• 18:31
  myself, they're not controlling this investigation.
• 18:34
  I think the FBI is saying that, you know, we're going to get
• 18:37
  this right this time and we're going to do it by, you know,
• 18:40
  processing, prosecuting these guys to the fullest extent of
• 18:43
  the law. So I think, again, this is just
• 18:45
  something that's getting started and there's a lot more to it.
• 18:48
  You have LeBron James, you have Giannis.
• 18:50
  And I'm not saying they're involved with it.
• 18:52
  I'm not pinning them on this story.
• 18:55
  But if these names were involved in this case, could you see the
• 18:58
  NBA pushing this under the rug and trying to to push the FBI
• 19:03
  outside of this circle that they're in right now?
• 19:06
  If it was a big superstar like Shay Otani with baseball.
• 19:10
  I think that they would do everything they can to, to cover
• 19:12
  it up and, and, and do that. But I like I said, I don't think
• 19:15
  that's going to happen this time.

  I thought back in the day, David Stern was involved in running my
• 19:21
  whole investigation. You know, the, the United States
• 19:24
  Attorney that was working the case at the time left there and
• 19:27
  went to a law firm and started getting all outside legal
• 19:30
  counsel work from the NBA. So, you know, I don't think that
• 19:34
  they're going to be able to get the guys that they need to to be
• 19:38
  their puppets and do what they did back, back in the day with
• 19:40
  me. I think these guys, you know,
• 19:43
  want to get this right. And I think the FBI is not going
• 19:45
  to be embarrassed and they're gonna make it right.
• 19:47
  With these prop bets and obviously with how prevalent
• 19:50
  like, you know, the gambling websites as far as advertising
• 19:53
  like on, you know, the networks that are showing baseball,
• 19:56
  basketball, football, like DraftKings, whatever, like use
• 19:59
  LeBron, he's one of the spokesperson for DraftKings.

  Do you think they're to get it right?
• 20:03
  Do you think they have to eliminate, you know, things like
• 20:05
  prop bets or certain things that are easier to kind of dictate
• 20:09
  through, you know, them being involved in in representing the
• 20:14
  the DraftKings or whatever then also playing as well?
• 20:18
  Yeah, I mean, definitely you can get rid of the prop bets where
• 20:20
  one way you can do it is just have it you can only take the
• 20:23
  over. You can't take the under of the
• 20:25
  Prof bets because you know, make the players go out and play hard
• 20:29
  and try to, you know, hit the over mark.
• 20:31
  So this way there's no worry about somebody tanking for the
• 20:34
  under. You can only bet the over and
• 20:36
  and set that at an amount. So there's, there's no tanking
• 20:39
  when it comes to it. But, you know, I think there's
• 20:42
  somehow some way they have to try and put the genie back in
• 20:45
  the bottle and get this under control so that, you know, this
• 20:49
  thing doesn't ever happen again. Well, it it's going to be very,
• 20:52
  very hard when it's international now it's national.
• 20:56
  There's how many states involved with it and, and everybody,
• 20:58
  everybody's involved with it, Tim, you know this everybody is
• 21:02
  and, and, and again, I think prophets should be taken out of
• 21:05
  the game, especially the NBA, because these players seem to
• 21:09
  think that they can get away with it now.
• 21:11
  I think that when you look at Porter and what Porter got, he
• 21:15
  got a life ban. And I think the same thing when
• 21:18
  it comes to steroids. I think there should be
• 21:20
  something as as bad as it is, they should grade it.
• 21:23
  If it's graded to that potential where it's going to be a life
• 21:26
  ban, then you can you can give them a life ban.
• 21:29
  But there has to be a grade like steroids that if you do it once,
• 21:32
  you're suspended for a year. If you're doing it the second
• 21:35
  time, you're out for this or there's got to be something.
• 21:38
  When you look at sports betting and you look at the league in
• 21:41
  the NBA, do they figure out some kind of rule or regulation that
• 21:45
  could obviously they they could put into effect for the future
• 21:49
  for the NB? AI have no idea, you know, what
• 21:51
  the best, you know, scenario would be.
• 21:54
  But when it comes to gamble, and I think that they have to take
• 21:57
  a, you know, a hard stance because it really, you know,
• 22:00
  hits at the integrity of the game.
• 22:02

  So I, I don't bet on sports because it just, it's not my

  thing, all right. But I love sports and I look at

  things and I calculate statistics and generate certain

  numbers, but it's not always right.

  When you look at your Vegas and Vegas is I think 65% right or

  Now, when you look at Vegas and, and, and the numbers and, and

  how it generates, it generates as a whole.

  Do you think that one way or another, Vegas needs to be

  controlled in some kind of way by these, you know, by the FBI

  or the leagues out there? Yeah, there has to be some type

  of independent monitoring system that you can really spit out the

  the red flags with your regular betting.

  But there's a lot of situations where you can bet overseas or

  different avenues, not just in the United States.

  So if you want to get the money down, they'll still be able to

  you're doing now. Now I heard you're doing real

  estates and you've been very, very successful.

  Tell us a little bit about what you've been doing since all that

  stuff happened to you. Yeah, I got involved, you know,

  in real estate at the right time back in 2009 and 10, where

  nobody really wanted the properties, was able to get them

  cheap at an auction, fix them up, rent them out.

  Now I have several properties that, you know, I'm basically

  just monitoring them and the landlord of.

  You, you got to give me some tips, man.

  I mean, I'm doing a little side work as well.

  I, I got somebody helping me out, teaching me the, the ropes.

  And it's, it can get confusing because percentages and what

  you're putting into it, you, you want to make sure that you're

  getting something out of it and it kind of throws you off

  because I'm lackluster when it comes to statistics and numbers,

  when it comes to money. I've made a lot of mistakes in
• 25:42
  my time, my friend, and I'm a little lost.

  So maybe we could talk off air. Maybe you could give me some of

  your tips. I, I'm definitely interested Now

  you got a family, you got daughters.

  Tell us a little bit about your family life since the situation

  and and how they handled everything.

  Thankfully they handled it great, was fortunate enough that

  if I got out, I rebuilt my life, like I said, through real

  estate. All my daughters are happy and

  healthy. One of them, the youngest 1,

  still lives with me. So, you know, just been lucky

  that they were resilient. We were able to get past
• 26:12
  everything. I want to get into Goodfellas.

  Everybody was talking about the murders that they did and all
• 26:18
  the other stuff, the drug dealing, but the real reason why
• 26:22
  they got caught was sports betting.

  And it was that Boston College, you know, the two players from
• 26:27
  Boston College and I, I investigated and I was like,
• 26:31
  well, and then he was on a Howard Stern show and he was
• 26:34
  talking about he's like, it was nothing with the drugs.
• 26:37
  It was nothing with this. They wanted to catch the sports
• 26:40
  betting and, and what we were doing, shaving off points.
• 26:43
  When you, when you hear something like that and, and
• 26:46
  that was before you. Was that something that really
• 26:49
  sunk in when when you when you kind of seen stories or heard of
• 26:52
  stories of that magnitude? I always heard of the famous
• 26:56
  Boston College scandal. So, you know, as depicted as
• 26:59
  they said in Goodfellas. So yeah, no, it's it's
• 27:03
  definitely that, you know, situation like this are going to
• 27:06
  come up time to time and you just have to hope that they're,
• 27:09
  you know, minimal and damage that they do the sports league.

  So, you know, I think this one, like I said earlier, is
• 27:14
  something that's going to be much bigger than what it is
• 27:17
  right now. It's just, it's just getting

  never really experienced it. So I couldn't imagine it going

  to a federal penitentiary and, and dealing with that as long as

  months is a long time and to, to really kind of go and, and think

  about the things that you did and, and I, and you wrote a
• 28:43
  book. So I kind of take it took away

  some of the time that you were there because you could really

  figure out how you want to attack this and how you want to
• 28:50
  present your story behind the paper.

  And you know, it's it's interesting.

  And is your mom still here with us?

  She's doing good, you know, my dad and her are still, you know,
