- 0:24Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:28Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I'm Dan, O'Malley along with Trade Trenholme.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Today is Monday, July twenty eight, twenty twenty five.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Hope you had an outstanding weekend and are.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Ready and raring to go on a brand new week,
- 0:44Speaker 1: especially considering how bad last week was for so many people.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Because last week was basically the Grim Reaper of twenty
- 0:52Speaker 1: twenty five taking out celebrities left and right.
- 0:55Speaker 2: My god, yes started the week.
- 0:59Speaker 1: We started the week caring about Ozzy Osbourne, then death
- 1:04Speaker 1: claimed Malcolm Jamal Warner out of nowhere, and then the
- 1:09Speaker 1: week ended with the news that wrestling icon and legend
- 1:15Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan and ter Bileya passed away at the age
- 1:20Speaker 1: of seventy one. Last week, man, it really was like
- 1:25Speaker 1: the Grim Reaper really did have his big long you
- 1:28Speaker 1: know corn scythe and just going left and right through
- 1:32Speaker 1: Hollywood names.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a and obviously Ozzie was was.
- 1:38Speaker 1: No shock on the shock with Ozzie's that he made
- 1:43Speaker 1: it as long as he did.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, obviously Malcolm Jamal Warner was just tragic
- 1:51Speaker 4: and then.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Well and he what was his cause. It was he drowned.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Yeah, he was, I believe in Costa Rica and he
- 1:57Speaker 4: was swimming in the ocean in the undertow. There was
- 1:59Speaker 4: a you know, a strong current and he didn't realize
- 2:01Speaker 4: it and he got sucked down.
- 2:05Speaker 3: And then I still I have no idea what the
- 2:08Speaker 3: cause of death for Hulk Hogan was.
- 2:10Speaker 1: The initial reports are cardiac arrest, which, if I'm being honest,
- 2:15Speaker 1: guy that was a wrestler for the majority of his life,
- 2:18Speaker 1: I don't know if it was if he ever actually
- 2:20Speaker 1: came out and publicly admitted that he used steroids.
- 2:23Speaker 2: But if we're being honest, they all yeah, exactly.
- 2:27Speaker 1: So the fact that he died from a heart attack
- 2:29Speaker 1: at the age of seventy one, which may or may
- 2:31Speaker 1: not be related to any wrestling enhancing drugs, but that
- 2:39Speaker 1: is a side effect that comes with prolonged steroid use,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and if I'm correct, that's how Macho Man Randy Savage died.
- 2:47Speaker 1: He died of a heart attack. Now, the difference there
- 2:50Speaker 1: was he had his heart attack while he was driving, right,
- 2:53Speaker 1: the hulkster I believe had his in bed. So last
- 2:58Speaker 1: week we had Malcolm Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne and On
- 3:02Speaker 1: the same day that we lost Hulk Hogan, also a musician,
- 3:06Speaker 1: Chuck Mangione died. Hulk Cogan died at the age of
- 3:10Speaker 1: seventy one. Medical personnel were sent to his home in Clearwater,
- 3:13Speaker 1: Florida to treat a cardiac arrest. He ended up at
- 3:17Speaker 1: a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
- 3:20Speaker 2: He was the biggest.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Star in the history of professional wrestling, and I don't
- 3:24Speaker 1: think that that's really an argument.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Otherwise, like a lot of times people.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Will say, oh, so and so is arguably the greatest boxer,
- 3:34Speaker 1: baseball player, football player of all time. I don't think
- 3:37Speaker 1: there's really an argument to say there was ever a
- 3:39Speaker 1: bigger star in wrestling than Hulk Hogan was at his peak.
- 3:45Speaker 4: No, I totally agree. I don't think that's an argument,
- 3:48Speaker 4: and not all I mean edit, but his peak was
- 3:53Speaker 4: honestly close to twenty years. I mean, he remained a
- 3:59Speaker 4: relevant name in wrestling for three eighties, nineties, two thousands.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Now, I have imagined some people might try to say,
- 4:09Speaker 1: you know, like Stone Colt, Steve Austin, the Rock, John Cena,
- 4:13Speaker 1: those guys. I imagined the younger generations might try to
- 4:16Speaker 1: say those guys were just as big. No, they really weren't,
- 4:20Speaker 1: because we think about it, all those guys also existed
- 4:22Speaker 1: at the same time. Hulk Hogan also had the people
- 4:25Speaker 1: that were great in his time as well, but really
- 4:27Speaker 1: was like Hulkmania transcended wrestling. All those other names were
- 4:33Speaker 1: big in wrestling, Hulkymania was the thing outside of wrestling.
- 4:37Speaker 1: People knew who he was that didn't even watch wrestling.
- 4:42Speaker 4: You can argue that Hulk Hogan put made wrestling mainstream
- 4:49Speaker 4: and honestly, the only other name wrestling that I think
- 4:53Speaker 4: you could even come close to, and it really doesn't
- 4:56Speaker 4: would be Rick Flair.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Interesting yep, the trying to see.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Oh and let's not forget his outstanding appearance in the
- 5:08Speaker 1: classic Rocky film Rocky three as Thunderlips, which sounds like
- 5:14Speaker 1: that could have been its own separate franchise if they
- 5:16Speaker 1: tried hard enough. After appearing as Thunderlips and Rocky three,
- 5:21Speaker 1: he won the World Wrestling Federation Championship in nineteen eighty
- 5:25Speaker 1: three and the business reached heights it never had seen before.
- 5:31Speaker 1: His views with I'm Sorry, his feuds with rivals like
- 5:36Speaker 1: Rowdy Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, and Macho Man Randy
- 5:40Speaker 1: Savage were legendary.
- 5:41Speaker 2: And do I have this correct?
- 5:43Speaker 1: Isn't he the first human to have picked up and
- 5:47Speaker 1: body slammed Andre the Giant?
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yes, I mean that right there first.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Holy I can't think of anyone even that did it again,
- 5:57Speaker 4: but yes he was. He bodies and Onder the Giant
- 6:01Speaker 4: at WrestleMania. And yeah, like Vince McMahon, owes Hulk a lot.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan body slamming Andre the Giant
- 6:16Speaker 2: made sixty minutes. That's how big that was. Oh what
- 6:20Speaker 2: are they safer going? You won't believe what happened last night?
- 6:23Speaker 4: You know that that made I do remember this, that
- 6:26Speaker 4: made mainstream Now for all you young UN's there, this
- 6:31Speaker 4: is when there were only three networks there there you know, there.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Was ABC, CBS, NBC. That was it.
- 6:38Speaker 2: And this is pre Simpson's.
- 6:42Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and if you made the nightly news, yeah,
- 6:48Speaker 4: that was a big story because that was thirty minutes
- 6:51Speaker 4: of them telling you everything going on in the world.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And so yeah, that was that was That.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Was one newscast they didn't have to they didn't have
- 7:00Speaker 1: to worry about queuing up the tape of the squirrel
- 7:03Speaker 1: on water skis they knew what they were going to
- 7:05Speaker 1: have and for the final package of the night, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: that was the hulks or body slamming Andre the Giant.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Well, you know, and.
- 7:19Speaker 4: It's funny, and you know, I knew it wouldn't take long,
- 7:22Speaker 4: and the politics got into it, and of course a
- 7:29Speaker 4: whole group of people that hate Hulk Hogan.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Now there are, and you know, political views have to
- 7:36Speaker 1: have a tendency to skew people's. I don't know affinity
- 7:40Speaker 1: or dislike of someone one way or the other. But
- 7:46Speaker 1: for me with Hulk Hogan and his legacy is not
- 7:53Speaker 1: marred by his political affiliations. To me, Hulk Hogan marred
- 7:57Speaker 1: his legacy in my eyes with that sex tape that
- 8:00Speaker 1: came out of him jumping up and down on Bubba
- 8:02Speaker 1: the Love Sponge's wife. Look, they say never meet your heroes.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I say never see your heroes sex tapes because they
- 8:12Speaker 1: will disappoint you every single time. It's amazing to see
- 8:17Speaker 1: what he could do in a ring and then just
- 8:20Speaker 1: mail it in in bed.
- 8:23Speaker 3: That's why I've never subscribed to Only Dance.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Smart.

- 9:29Speaker 2: We appreciate it. The tree House is open. Let's grow.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Today is Monday, July twenty eighth, twenty twenty five. The
- 9:40Speaker 1: date is extremely important because last Friday, when I went
- 9:44Speaker 1: through birthdays, I messed up. I messed up good and hard.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I forgot one of our most essential birthdays to be
- 9:53Speaker 1: listed last week, and that is our very own trade
- 9:59Speaker 1: trend Home Trey. Your birthday was last Saturday, and I
- 10:04Speaker 1: typically will try to mention the Saturday or Sunday show
- 10:08Speaker 1: birthday on Friday, but I was distracted by other things.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Not so much about the tears of sadness from the
- 10:16Speaker 1: death of Hulk Hogan or Ozzy Osbourne, just other things
- 10:22Speaker 1: and I want to say, from the deepest, darkest areas
- 10:26Speaker 1: of my heart, I apologize for excluding your birthday on birthdays,
- 10:30Speaker 1: especially Friday birthdays.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Happy birthday, my friend.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 10:38Speaker 4: I'm notice I didn't bring it up. I was okay,
- 10:42Speaker 4: perfectly okay with you know, it not being.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Mentioned, which is all the more reason to mention it.
- 10:50Speaker 4: But I mean, Friday, we had plenty of other things
- 10:55Speaker 4: going on. It was perfectly understandable.
- 10:59Speaker 2: That's not an forgetting to mention on birthdays on the
- 11:06Speaker 2: show on a Friday.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Your birthday, well, I'm sious.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Of all the birthdays I've had, I can tell you
- 11:16Speaker 4: that fifty one is really just as unceremonious as against.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Yeah, in fact, your fifty first, that would have made
- 11:24Speaker 1: an interesting birthday, and you would remembered that your fifty
- 11:29Speaker 1: first birthday was so unceremonious that I wasn't the only
- 11:36Speaker 1: person to forget something. Okay, so I forgot about your birthday,
- 11:43Speaker 1: but you forgot about the date you had, And I have.
- 11:46Speaker 2: So many questions, how the hell do you forget a date? Bro?
- 11:51Speaker 1: If I remember correctly, the last known date, the last
- 11:55Speaker 1: date that I know for a fact you had was
- 11:59Speaker 1: like a year ago.
- 12:01Speaker 2: How do you forget a date?
- 12:06Speaker 4: It was like it was an online dating thing, and
- 12:09Speaker 4: we were chatting, and uh, we had kind of agreed to,
- 12:14Speaker 4: you know, get together a Thursday night, and we we
- 12:18Speaker 4: had gone as far as kind of which areas of
- 12:20Speaker 4: Dallas we lived in, and I just I got busy
- 12:25Speaker 4: on Thursday. We had a first you know, like product
- 12:29Speaker 4: launch with three coin and everything else, and so I
- 12:33Speaker 4: just I completely forgot.
- 12:35Speaker 3: And then.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It hit me about six o'clock, six seven o'clock. I
- 12:42Speaker 4: was like, oh, now I know what I'm I've been
- 12:45Speaker 4: forgetting and uh.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Said I copenionship, romance.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Online date and one of the reasons why I probably
- 12:57Speaker 4: been talking to this girl, like I don't know for week,
- 13:01Speaker 4: but I had offered to exchange phone numbers, like all right,
- 13:08Speaker 4: we're gonna go on it, and got back, Oh, I'm
- 13:12Speaker 4: not comfortable with that yet. Well you're gonna meet in person,
- 13:17Speaker 4: but you don't want to give me your number, Okay, whatever,
- 13:20Speaker 4: I'm that's weird.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's.
- 13:22Speaker 4: It's common, and I just I know online dating is
- 13:26Speaker 4: just the worst dating in period. Dating over fifty.
- 13:30Speaker 3: Is the excuse me is the.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Worst because I don't have the audio for it pulled up,
- 13:40Speaker 1: But you did. You did post a really interesting video.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And this is how I know that you forgot about
- 13:44Speaker 1: your date is because you posted on Instagram that you
- 13:48Speaker 1: had a date that you forgot about.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Yeah, At least now I feel a little bit better
- 13:56Speaker 1: about this situation because the way you're describing it, you
- 13:59Speaker 1: weren't looking forward to it anyway. So I'm gonna give
- 14:03Speaker 1: you a free pass on that for forgetting it. But
- 14:06Speaker 1: it still seems interesting that you just flat out forgot.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Now I will say I'm glad you forgot about the
- 14:12Speaker 1: date right before the date was supposed to happen, as
- 14:14Speaker 1: opposed to like three hours later.
- 14:18Speaker 4: Like I said, if I mean, it's not I didn't
- 14:23Speaker 4: leave someone sitting at a restaurant wondering where the hell
- 14:25Speaker 4: I was.
- 14:25Speaker 3: We never even picked a place, so that was why.
- 14:27Speaker 4: I was And and if I'm being honest, there probably
- 14:31Speaker 4: is some subconscious just nah, I don't know, it's I
- 14:42Speaker 4: never imagined it just things you do not think about
- 14:47Speaker 4: in your your youth of being single at this age,
- 14:51Speaker 4: because it's just so terribly awkward, because where do you go,
- 14:57Speaker 4: Like you you can't go to the bars anymore, No,
- 15:00Speaker 4: people our age, don't you know. It's like there's there's
- 15:07Speaker 4: this girl and it's brilliant. I mean, I don't know
- 15:10Speaker 4: how it took someone this long to do it, but
- 15:13Speaker 4: this girl came up with this concept called the Dainty
- 15:15Speaker 4: Trail and they do these events on the KTI Trail
- 15:17Speaker 4: for the you know singles.
- 15:19Speaker 3: And it's been it started probably three.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Months ago, an enormous success. I think the last of
- 15:24Speaker 4: it they had they had like seven hundred people.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Wow.
- 15:27Speaker 4: And they've got one coming up there advertising as you
- 15:29Speaker 4: know for older a thirty five plus.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Oh you mother, for the olds, it's the old Daity Trail. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: thirty five plus U. I'd like to go ahead and
- 15:45Speaker 1: report a math murder at the KDI Trail.
- 15:49Speaker 3: But yeah, even that, I was like, huh, thirty five plus,
- 15:52Speaker 3: what's the age cap?
- 15:53Speaker 4: Because I'm gonna guess, h yeah, fifty is about as
- 15:58Speaker 4: high as you want to.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Go, probably because if they're starting at thirty five, I agree,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I don't think they're gonna want anyone over fifty because
- 16:05Speaker 1: once that happens, they're gonna think that someone's nursing home.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Busk broke down and they all just got let out
- 16:12Speaker 1: onto the trail.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Yeah, then it'll be the scooter trail.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, Look, here's what we're gonna do. So
- 16:26Speaker 1: you're your biggest problem is with dating after fifty is
- 16:33Speaker 1: how to do it, how to go about it right,
- 16:36Speaker 1: how to meet somebody, even to date. I have someone
- 16:40Speaker 1: that can help, and I'll tell you. I'll tell you
- 16:42Speaker 1: all about it.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Coming up.
- 16:57Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse. It's online at Treehouseonair dot com.
- 17:12Speaker 5: You're listening to the Treehouse. Visit us online at Treehouseonair

- 17:25Speaker 1: on Air. Is our handle across all social media platforms
- 17:30Speaker 1: at Treehouse on Air, give us a follow today. This
- 17:35Speaker 1: is what I sent to my friend Gary. My friend
- 17:39Speaker 1: is fifty one in single. He doesn't know where to
- 17:43Speaker 1: go or what to do to meet someone for dating purposes.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Any suggestions on how to date over fifty? Okay, my buddy,
- 17:53Speaker 1: Gary responds, Absolutely, Dating after fifty can be just as exciting, meaningful,
- 17:59Speaker 1: and even more fulfilling than dating at a younger age.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Your friend isn't alone either. Millions of people over fifty
- 18:06Speaker 1: are single and looking here are some practical and encouraging
- 18:10Speaker 1: suggestions for him. Ready mindset first number one, be open
- 18:18Speaker 1: minded but clear, know what you want companionship, romance, long term,
- 18:23Speaker 1: short term, but be flexible.
- 18:25Speaker 2: On how it might look. Okay.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Number two, let go of outdated rules. Dating has changed,
- 18:32Speaker 1: Texting is normal and online is not taboo anymore.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Being adaptable is key, okay.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Mindset Number three from Gary confidence beats youth, not literally, Trey,
- 18:47Speaker 1: just figuratively. You can't beat them unless they just did
- 18:51Speaker 1: something really, really dumb. Gary says, emotional maturity, life experience,
- 18:55Speaker 1: and authenticity are major assets. I would say one of
- 19:00Speaker 1: your biggest assets straight is the fact that you are authentic.
- 19:04Speaker 2: You will tell someone your thoughts.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I will do that.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Next section after your mindset. Now it gets into some
- 19:14Speaker 1: of the nitty gritty areas where to meet people?
- 19:17Speaker 3: Okay, all right?
- 19:19Speaker 1: In person options number one, Social clubs or interest based
- 19:24Speaker 1: groups like meetup, dot com, hiking, book clubs, wine tasting,
- 19:30Speaker 1: basically other activities that white people enjoy.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Well and no.
- 19:37Speaker 4: So here here's another another little wrinkle in my dating
- 19:41Speaker 4: is the fact that I'm sober.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, okay, wine tasting. Then would not be good
- 19:46Speaker 2: for you.
- 19:46Speaker 1: They also mentioned travel groups for fifty plus that might
- 19:50Speaker 1: be a little sketchy because you're not part of the
- 19:52Speaker 1: scooter army. And if you do a travel club for
- 19:55Speaker 1: fifty plus, you might end up having to basically be
- 20:00Speaker 1: someone's handler, Yes, through an airport.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Traveling with strangers seems like it would be a really
- 20:09Speaker 4: risky proposition.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I'm with you there. I think that's a big commitment.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Number two of those, I think this might be possible
- 20:17Speaker 1: for you. Adult education classes or workshops, learn something new
- 20:21Speaker 1: and meet people with similar interests.
- 20:25Speaker 3: So like the pottery class at the nursing home.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yep, pretty much.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, I was thinking maybe that free tile laying
- 20:33Speaker 1: class at home depot on a Saturday. But yeah, that
- 20:35Speaker 1: pottery at the Old Folks. Number three volunteering a great
- 20:39Speaker 1: way to meet kind hearted people and build friendships naturally.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Number four fitness classes Trey, You and yoga can become friends.
- 20:48Speaker 1: You should take a yoga class.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I and that is I would like to take a
- 20:51Speaker 4: yoga class. That that is definitely an option.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Beyond yoga, there's activities like pickle all but just extremely
- 21:01Speaker 1: popular these days. Walking groups, so maybe you could meet
- 21:05Speaker 1: someone special as part of a mallwalking group at the gallery.
- 21:14Speaker 3: This is it, This is what life has become.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, how are you liking Gary's suggestions so far?
- 21:21Speaker 3: You know, yoga, That's where.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I feel like Gary had you until the mallwalking group.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Then finally local community events, art shows, live music, trivia nights,
- 21:34Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 21:34Speaker 2: So there you go. And then finally online dating for
- 21:37Speaker 2: fifty plus. He that's you. Trey should not shy away
- 21:41Speaker 2: from dating apps.
- 21:42Speaker 1: They've evolved, and there are platforms tailored for older adults
- 21:46Speaker 1: like Our Time m H designed specifically for singles over fifty.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Is that one you've looked into, Trey Our Time see?
- 21:56Speaker 1: This is an untapped resource for you. Also Silver Singles.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Another fifty plus dating blaatform personality based matching because your
- 22:09Speaker 1: looks have gone and that's all you've got left. There's
- 22:15Speaker 1: also match dot com but Facebook dating. I didn't know
- 22:20Speaker 1: this was a thing. Surprisingly good for meeting people in
- 22:23Speaker 1: your extended social circle. Yeah, and then they mentioned for
- 22:30Speaker 1: more adventurous types hinge or Bumble, but those are more
- 22:33Speaker 1: mixed age. They also have a tip here profiles Matter,
- 22:38Speaker 1: genuine photos, a light but sincere bio, and a willingness
- 22:42Speaker 1: to message first all help. Then it gives you some
- 22:46Speaker 1: notes on starting conversations, on things you can do when
- 22:48Speaker 1: you meet someone, what to say to spark that conversation. Also,
- 22:52Speaker 1: there's a note on red flags and safety. Gary's very
- 22:54Speaker 1: thorough here when I asked him about your particular situation.
- 22:58Speaker 1: And then Gary also threw it at the here if
- 23:01Speaker 1: he's unsure where to start, I would recommend create a
- 23:04Speaker 1: profile on our time or Silver singles, join one new
- 23:08Speaker 1: hobby group in person or online, okay, and say yes
- 23:14Speaker 1: to more social invites, even if it feels outside the
- 23:17Speaker 1: comfort zone. And then Gary also throws in at the end.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Would Tray be open to help with writing his dating
- 23:22Speaker 1: profile or suggestions on conversation openers. I'd be happy to
- 23:26Speaker 1: help with those two. So you just let me know, Trey,
- 23:28Speaker 1: and I'll get with Gary and we'll powwow on this
- 23:30Speaker 1: and we'll give you back something good.
- 23:36Speaker 3: Gary.
- 23:37Speaker 1: You you need to be nice to Gary because one
- 23:41Speaker 1: of these days Gary's going to take over the world.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah. Not with those not with those generic as tips.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Is it clear to you yet that I've named my
- 23:55Speaker 1: chat GPT bot Gary, Yes, okay, just making sure we're
- 23:58Speaker 1: the same thing.

- 24:38Speaker 2: This is the Treehouse Show. I'm Dan, He's Trey.
- 24:42Speaker 1: I was just giving Tray some tips on dating in
- 24:45Speaker 1: its fifties from my chat GPT, which I have nicknamed Gary.
- 24:52Speaker 2: It's a working name.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I've also considered calling it Jeeves, so then that way
- 24:56Speaker 1: I can literally ask jeeves. So I'm trying to decide,
- 25:03Speaker 1: So let me know if you if you think one
- 25:05Speaker 1: is better than the other. Gary or Jeeves from a
- 25:08Speaker 1: chat GPT. I'm exploring new technologies, Tray.
- 25:13Speaker 2: There are old technologies though, and.
- 25:17Speaker 1: You still have to abide by certain rules when you
- 25:21Speaker 1: take advantage of these older technologies. What I'm talking about
- 25:26Speaker 1: is cover up your ass on a flight, to do
- 25:30Speaker 1: it or to not do it.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Let's check in with one.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Scenario with a spirit passenger who was told she was
- 25:38Speaker 1: too risk that her outfit was too risky to fly
- 25:42Speaker 1: on spirited airlines. This is from CS News Miami and
- 25:46Speaker 1: their deep dive into what happened when this woman was
- 25:50Speaker 1: told she is too scantily clagged.
- 25:53Speaker 8: Well in this passenger, she reached out to us and
- 25:56Speaker 8: she said that not only was she not allowed to
- 25:58Speaker 8: support her spirit, but she.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Says her sister was arrested.
- 26:04Speaker 8: As Tanasa Greyer approached the Spirit ticket counter tensions quickly grew.
- 26:10Speaker 8: She was just told she wouldn't be allowed on her
- 26:12Speaker 8: flight back to Chicago.
- 26:15Speaker 3: You need to.
- 26:17Speaker 9: Address, you can say whatever you need.
- 26:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yes, So that's a police officer she's talking to at airport,
- 26:29Speaker 1: and yes, he does get to He does get to
- 26:31Speaker 1: tell you what to do, especially at.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Prayer.
- 26:35Speaker 8: Says it all started over this out that she wore
- 26:38Speaker 8: to the airport. She says she wore similar shorts while
- 26:42Speaker 8: traveling on a plane to Miami on Sunday.
- 26:48Speaker 9: Airport.
- 26:51Speaker 1: All right, the outfit that she's wearing is a tight
- 26:54Speaker 1: tank top and the shorts basically look like men's tidy whities,
- 26:58Speaker 1: but they're blue when they matched the top. And on
- 27:01Speaker 1: top of all that, she's wearing a ridiculous pink.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Well her outfit.
- 27:07Speaker 4: If to really paint the picture, it looks like a
- 27:10Speaker 4: female sprinter's outfit.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yeah, very good, very very good description. Trady, thank you
- 27:17Speaker 2: with the big pink bathrobe over the top of it.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And she says, I think she says here that this
- 27:22Speaker 1: is the exact thing she was wearing that day with.
- 27:26Speaker 9: These short with my rope. This is exactly how I
- 27:29Speaker 9: have my poast.
- 27:31Speaker 5: She says.
- 27:31Speaker 8: The luggage made it onto the plate, but she didn't.
- 27:34Speaker 3: I have my robb one.
- 27:36Speaker 9: We were getting ready to work the plane, and the
- 27:40Speaker 9: lady at the front desk she stopped me, like what
- 27:43Speaker 9: she said, with the shorts. Okay, everybody here has some shorts.
- 27:48Speaker 9: What's what's the problem with my short? And I've been
- 27:50Speaker 9: in the airport for forty minutes with my shorts and
- 27:54Speaker 9: my rob phone and nobody addressed me about my attire.
- 28:00Speaker 8: I voice in the background is great, sister Jessica Korduguski.
- 28:05Speaker 8: So first he just says she can't get on her
- 28:07Speaker 8: Spirit flight because of her outfit, and then to make
- 28:10Speaker 8: matters worse, she says her sister is arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 28:14Speaker 1: See that's what happens when you try telling the police
- 28:17Speaker 1: officer at the airport that you can't talk to me
- 28:21Speaker 1: that way, and then he says, yes I can, and
- 28:24Speaker 1: then your sister jumps in with her opinions, and then
- 28:27Speaker 1: he arrests her in sensor to jail.
- 28:31Speaker 3: You know, I.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Know it's it's a drastic thought, but you could try
- 28:36Speaker 4: just not, you know, dressing like you were lounging around
- 28:39Speaker 4: the house when you're when you're going to going to travel.
- 28:42Speaker 1: They actually mentioned in the piece that air travel is
- 28:46Speaker 1: different these days. It's now a more relaxed thing. People
- 28:50Speaker 1: dress way more casually. There are a lot of people
- 28:52Speaker 1: really do dress like this lady does here in this piece,
- 28:56Speaker 1: like she just crawled out of bed and went straight
- 28:59Speaker 1: to the airport and having flown before the sun has
- 29:03Speaker 1: come up. I have understood that sentiment, but I still
- 29:08Speaker 1: put on normal clothes. And I'm not saying you should
- 29:09Speaker 1: or you shouldn't. I get the idea of flying in
- 29:12Speaker 1: your pajamas, but that's just that's a different mindset and
- 29:17Speaker 1: that's not one I have. I'm just gonna wear normal clothes,
- 29:20Speaker 1: but I'm not going to do like they did back
- 29:21Speaker 1: in the fifties and sixties and I'm not wearing a
- 29:23Speaker 1: three piece suit benefit.
- 29:25Speaker 3: I mean, but hey, if.
- 29:30Speaker 4: You're wearing your bathrobe outside of your house, stop, yeah, bathrope,
- 29:36Speaker 4: shower cap, you know it. No, some items belong in
- 29:42Speaker 4: your house, and then they shouldn't leave.
- 29:46Speaker 2: We can't all be the dude in The Big Lebowski.
- 29:51Speaker 2: And actually, if you think about it, there's a lesson
- 29:53Speaker 2: in there.
- 29:53Speaker 1: That man went around that entire film wearing what his
- 29:57Speaker 1: bathrobe and look at all the bad stuff that happened
- 30:00Speaker 1: to him and the people around him. There's a lesson
- 30:02Speaker 1: in there. Thank you Cohen Brothers. Don't wear your bathrobe
- 30:05Speaker 1: out in public.
- 30:09Speaker 3: I mean.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Maybe to the bowling alley.

- 31:17Speaker 1: today inside the Treehouse with birthdays turning thirty five today
- 31:26Speaker 1: Rappers Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy is thirty five, which makes
- 31:30Speaker 1: him now eligible for the Daity Trail Olds mixer for thirty.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Five plus that's coming up.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I kind of feel like we should sponsor that tray,
- 31:40Speaker 1: like we could be a media sponsor for the thirty
- 31:42Speaker 1: five plus Daty Trail event. It's our people and it
- 31:48Speaker 1: might be a chance for you to meet some people.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, no, I'll check it out.
- 31:54Speaker 2: Good deal.
- 31:55Speaker 1: We can market the show. Maybe you get a date
- 31:57Speaker 1: or two out of it. We'll see how it goes.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Other birthdays today, John David Washington turns forty one today.
- 32:05Speaker 1: He's actor John David Washington. He's forty one. He is
- 32:08Speaker 1: Ricky Jarrett on Ballers. He's the star of Tenant and
- 32:11Speaker 1: if you understand that movie, please let me know. He's
- 32:13Speaker 1: also from the Spike Lee comedy Black Clansman. By the way,
- 32:17Speaker 1: he's Denzel Washington's son, really fine actor in his own part,
- 32:21Speaker 1: John David Washington.
- 32:22Speaker 2: He's forty one. He was also in a movie called
- 32:24Speaker 2: The Creator.
- 32:26Speaker 1: That was one of those movies that I saw the
- 32:27Speaker 1: trailer for it when that first came out, and I
- 32:30Speaker 1: was like, oh, hey, that looks pretty interesting. It's you know,
- 32:32Speaker 1: it's basically it's a movie about AI robots and stuff
- 32:35Speaker 1: and then trying to live as humans and whether or
- 32:37Speaker 1: not they.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Should be allowed to. And I liked it.
- 32:39Speaker 1: I thought it looked good and then I watched it
- 32:41Speaker 1: and it's really just a really epic, meh movie.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Saw the movie and yes, you are absolutely correct, that
- 32:50Speaker 4: is an epic myth. Yeah, are more so one of
- 32:54Speaker 4: those that you get to the end and you're like, really,
- 32:56Speaker 4: that's how you did it.
- 32:59Speaker 1: It's kind of a let down. Yeah, So keep that
- 33:03Speaker 1: in mind. Whatever Trey says that I have terrible taste
- 33:06Speaker 1: in movies, I do have terrible taste in movies, but
- 33:10Speaker 1: only the ones that are bad, that are so bad
- 33:12Speaker 1: that I like them. When it comes to regular mainstream movies,
- 33:16Speaker 1: I feel like I'm a pretty good litmus test. You
- 33:18Speaker 1: can you can trust my opinions on these things. Afroman
- 33:22Speaker 1: turns fifty one his big hit because I Got High
- 33:25Speaker 1: and it is he has ridden that wave all the
- 33:28Speaker 1: way to now, and good on him for it. If
- 33:32Speaker 1: you had to be a one hit wonder tray, would
- 33:33Speaker 1: you rather be known for tub thumping like Chumbawamba is
- 33:38Speaker 1: or because I Got high the way Afroman is known.
- 33:45Speaker 2: That's a tough one, it really is.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Because on the cool side, you would think because I
- 33:52Speaker 1: got high by Afroman. But if you're thinking monetarily, I
- 33:56Speaker 1: got to feel in Chumba Wamba sees more money out
- 33:58Speaker 1: of their hit than Afroman does.
- 34:00Speaker 4: Oh, no doubt, uh, especially globally. Yeah, that's tub thumping. Yeah,
- 34:08Speaker 4: was a thing. But at the same time, man, Chumbawamba's
- 34:12Speaker 4: even got it has to be tired of that one.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Yeah, if I remember right, And I don't have the
- 34:17Speaker 1: inclination or the care to actually look this up, but
- 34:21Speaker 1: I think Chumbawamba was sort of a European supergroup. I
- 34:24Speaker 1: think that had pieces from other bands that were formed.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Again I don't I don't care enough to actually verify that.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's just what I think how I remember it. I
- 34:36Speaker 1: will say this though, when when Chumba Bumba and tub
- 34:39Speaker 1: thumping comes on in a bar or a restaurant. No
- 34:43Speaker 1: one's mad about it. Everyone recognizes it, but no one's
- 34:46Speaker 1: singing along. Now, if you're in if you're in a
- 34:49Speaker 1: if you're in a fun night spot, and because I
- 34:51Speaker 1: got high comes on, everybody's singing.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well yeah, there's definitely Uh, of all the bars
- 35:00Speaker 4: songs you want to sing along with, it's hepdumping, It's
- 35:02Speaker 4: not one of them.
- 35:04Speaker 1: And that's one that that I appreciate as well. Even
- 35:07Speaker 1: though I've recently learned that I don't do marijuana, well
- 35:10Speaker 1: I'll still sing the song.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean you do booze just fine.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Thank you, Trey, Thank you for recognizing my go get her.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Attitude, my overachieving self. Also, Elizabeth Berkley turns fifty three today. Sure,
- 35:35Speaker 1: she's probably best known as caffeine pill popping Jesse on
- 35:38Speaker 1: Saved by the Bell, but she also had one of
- 35:40Speaker 1: the most epic sex scenes in Showgirls, in which she's
- 35:44Speaker 1: basically waterboarded by Kyle McLoughlin.
- 35:48Speaker 3: I that movie, God, the movie is so bad. I mean.
- 36:00Speaker 4: Ever want to see just an absolute class in how
- 36:03Speaker 4: to just completely ruin your career?
- 36:06Speaker 3: Elizabeth?
- 36:07Speaker 2: Uh?
- 36:07Speaker 4: Is that that is a just grade a you know,
- 36:13Speaker 4: saved by the bell. You're a huge star, then you
- 36:15Speaker 4: want to make something risky, really get away from from
- 36:18Speaker 4: the Jesse role of.
- 36:21Speaker 3: You know, she should have done porn.
- 36:24Speaker 2: You're right, that would have been more widely accepted.
- 36:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it worked for screechtboard from the Screech.

- 37:25Speaker 1: This story is at this point, I think it might
- 37:28Speaker 1: be almost two weeks old, but the subject of the
- 37:32Speaker 1: story is millions of years in the making. Okay, I'm
- 37:38Speaker 1: a huge fan of astronomy, and I love our solar
- 37:41Speaker 1: system and it's fascinating to me. Despite the fact that
- 37:44Speaker 1: I understand next to nothing about it. I'm still fascinated
- 37:48Speaker 1: by it, and I appreciate it, especially when I see
- 37:50Speaker 1: a headline as legendary as this.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Or probe of Uranus. See, you know, it's off to
- 37:58Speaker 2: a good start.
- 38:01Speaker 1: A probe of Uranus finally reveals where the distant planet
- 38:05Speaker 1: gets its heat. Researchers from the University of Houston Go
- 38:12Speaker 1: Cougars launched a deep probe of Uranus's data and determined
- 38:19Speaker 1: that the gas giant is actually warmed from deep.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Deep inside. Because, of course it is.
- 38:29Speaker 1: From a scientific perspective, this study helps us better understand
- 38:33Speaker 1: Uranus and other giant gas planets. That is the quote
- 38:38Speaker 1: from the University of Houston's Department of Earth and Asthmas
- 38:42Speaker 1: and Atmospheric Sciences. Doctor you want to guess what his
- 38:46Speaker 1: name is? Trey No, doctor Wang.
- 38:55Speaker 3: Of course, I guess you got to be.
- 39:00Speaker 2: With a name like that, What other planet would you
- 39:02Speaker 2: probe so vigorously. I am only a little bit ashamed
- 39:11Speaker 2: of all of that.
- 39:12Speaker 1: The point is, I knew what it was gonna be
- 39:15Speaker 1: before I even read the story, just seeing the headline.
- 39:19Speaker 1: You know, Probe of Uranus finally reveals where the distant
- 39:23Speaker 1: planet gets its heat.
- 39:24Speaker 2: You know it's gonna be from deep inside. And then
- 39:27Speaker 2: it is.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I thought Uranus was an ice I thought that was
- 39:31Speaker 4: an ice planet.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Not I think that's Neptune.
- 39:38Speaker 3: I thought it was both.
- 39:40Speaker 4: Yeah, because there was also there's a story rolling around
- 39:43Speaker 4: that they possibly found another planet in our solar system.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Oh that's the one that's the ice planet, and they've
- 39:49Speaker 1: named it Yuvolva.
- 40:05Speaker 2: By the way, if anyone ever asks you why it.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Is you have a hard time dating over fifty, just
- 40:09Speaker 1: play them that clip.
- 40:16Speaker 3: I want to be ashamed of you, but that was
- 40:17Speaker 3: just too good.
- 40:20Speaker 2: I thank you, I thank you deeply.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Happy belated birthday once again to our dear trade Trenholm.
- 40:26Speaker 2: My gift to you is Uvolva. We'll see you tomorrow.
- 40:31Speaker 2: The Treehouse
