  Huskies have wrapped up the regular season Big East Championship, setting records along the

  way. Dan, let's begin there. I mean in a place like Yukon,
• 0:12
  and you've been saying this since you've been here, it's it's a historic
• 0:17
  place. And when you add your name and your team's records and accomplishments to
• 0:23
  that, that has to be a pretty good feeling. Yeah, definitely,
• 0:27
  I think, yeah, there's a different it's different coaching in places like like
• 0:33
  Yukon, you know, or Duke or or Kentucky or Carolina, you know,
• 0:39
  or the Celtics or or Knicks or the Dallas Cowboys in a sense of
• 0:44
  uh, you know there there there's expectations, and there's history, and uh,
• 0:50
  there's much more pressure. You don't have the benefit of of of of
• 0:55
  sneaking up on people, uh to have your success or too, to be
• 1:00
  underrated and then sneak up and surprise people. Uh to be successful here and
• 1:07
  uh to one as much as uh as we've been able to win the last
• 1:11
  two years. Uh, just a testament to great staff, incredible players and
• 1:18
  winning at Yukon, you join a lot of greats. Obviously, Jim Calhoun
• 1:23
  built this thing, won three championships. Kevin Ollie won one, You've got
• 1:26
  one. Uh, the expectations, I wonder in your mind, what are
• 1:30
  they? Are they hire? Let's grab for more? Do you feel the
• 1:36
  fan base expectations as you do your job every day? No, not at
• 1:40
  all. I don't. I'm not on there. Well, I'm not on
• 1:44
  social. I mean I know where I am. You know there's there's high
• 1:48
  expectations here. But I think part of you could appreciate crazy level of success,
• 1:55
  a run that we've been on for the last two years in terms of
• 1:59
  just being the best pro great in the country without question, and then but
• 2:02
  then also wanting to continue to you know, to achieve more. The goalposts
• 2:09
  are always moving, so you never know. You win one, you want
• 2:13
  two, you win two, you want three. Most people at this level
• 2:16
  that are successful, yeah, that's their mindset. When it's not their mindset,
• 2:21
  it's probably time to move on. Yeah. Yeah, you won forty
• 2:24
  three or forty seven, that's incredible. Fifty nine of your last seventy eighteen,
• 2:30
  the last nineteen this season, and it looks like what we just saw
• 2:34
  this week on the road after winning the league championship. There you could have
• 2:39
  an excuse, I guess that maybe we're not going to play with the same
• 2:43
  kind of force and passion and energy, But that did not happen. I
• 2:47
  thought that was pretty impressive. No. We I think we've got a culture
• 2:55
  here and of like mind people that you know, we're all about team success,
• 3:05
  and we got great competitors, you know, people that love the game,
• 3:09
  love to compete, and it bought into, you know, a real
• 3:15
  we focus and have bought into you know, wanted to leave a legacy here,
• 3:22
  wanting to you know, the back of their baseball cards, so to
• 3:24
  speak, to be tough to beat moving forward, and tough to beat in
• 3:30
  terms of you know, the history of the place. Totally. Yeah.

  The country I know has taken notice obviously after you won the national championship last
• 3:38
  year and the way you did it, and I think to carry over and
• 3:43
  I have these kind of this kind of record eighteen and two in conference twenty
• 3:46
  eight and three overall might have caught some people in the country by surprise,
• 3:51
  hasn't caught you by surprise at all. I mean when you look at the
• 3:57
  the uh just where we are after just I mean after just losing what we
• 4:02
  lost from last year's team, because we lost so much, uh, losing
• 4:09
  five of our first you know, eight guys, three major starters, you
• 4:15
  know, and NBA players, and then uh, and then just to bring
• 4:17
  into one transfer Mike, you know, it's not like we we restocked with
• 4:21
  a bunch of older guys, you know, Hasan and and Samson, you
• 4:27
  know, either by injury or or what have you. You know, they
• 4:30
  were they were they're an important part of last year's team, but they weren't
• 4:35
  you know, who they are for us this year? And and basically we
• 4:40
  lost all that we brought in Cam. We dealt with injuries to some critical
• 4:45
  players and Stephen Donovan missed significant time with a big target on us too,
• 4:51
  being the defending national champs. I think we all took after Saturday's game.
• 4:57
  I think we all enjoyed Sunday and and appreciated what we had done and it
• 5:03
  was back to work Monday. Yeah. It's a nice feeling, though,
• 5:06
  I mean, you got to be satisfied in your life and what you do.
• 5:10
  I mean, you you, I know, you're pretty philosophical guy on
• 5:13
  this stuff, but can you stop and be satisfied in a way and enjoy
• 5:17
  what you've done, because I mean, the guys have had just fabulous success
• 5:23
  here this year and not everybody as you say it was around last year.
• 5:26
  So I mean, is there a way to do that? Can you enjoy
• 5:29
  the ride while you're taking it? Yeah, I mean we celebrate the wins
• 5:32
  and and uh, you know together and I think, uh, you know,
• 5:38
  obviously winning is a is a reward you know, onto unto yourself in
• 5:45
  a way where you know you may be you know, just uh what it
• 5:49
  does for your mood and your energy level when you're being successful, especially with
• 5:55
  the amount of work that we all put into it. You know, the
• 5:58
  group has a great energy about it, you know, because of what we're
• 6:02
  achieving and how hard we're working and how connected the group is. Uh,
• 6:08
  you know, it's just it's it's it's fun. I could see the biggiest
• 6:11
  championship trophy is over, you know, next to uh, you know,
• 6:16
  there's other space that we have for hopefully some other trophies. Yeah, it's
• 6:21
  been a it's been a heck of a ride this year, last year,
• 6:25
