- 0:11Speaker 1: Hey, this is Danielle Harris. So I am now maybe,
- 0:14Speaker 1: quite possibly, one of the newest members of Movie Meltdown.
- 0:19Speaker 1: If I can ever actually get to the movies. But
- 0:22Speaker 1: I'll review some old 80s rom-coms for you.
- 0:26Speaker 2: See ya.
- 0:28Speaker 3: It had to be you.
- 0:32Speaker 4: It had to be you I wandered around and finally
- 0:38Speaker 4: found the somebody who.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Could make me be true could make me be.
- 0:48Speaker 5: It's showtime this episode is rated m for misty yes
- 0:52Speaker 5: that's right this is a misty episode so it will
- 0:54Speaker 5: be laced with profanity even more than usual if you're
- 0:58Speaker 5: not comfortable with this level of profanity perhaps this isn't
- 1:01Speaker 5: the episode for you but we have many other episodes
- 1:03Speaker 5: to choose from that do not feature misty and will
- 1:05Speaker 5: probably be far less offensive okay maybe That having been said,
- 1:10Speaker 5: on with the show.
- 1:11Speaker 6: Our nuclear reactor pumping out one million kilowatts of power.
- 1:41Speaker 3: What's up and welcome to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:43Speaker 7: I'm Brian.
- 1:43Speaker 8: I'm Lucy.
- 1:44Speaker 9: I'm Jay.
- 1:44Speaker 7: And I am Misty.
- 1:47Speaker 8: And we are coming to you live via.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Digital recording from Casa de Lucy at.
- 2:10Speaker 8: Do you have a better alternative title for your home?
- 2:14Speaker 4: I don't.
- 2:14Speaker 10: I probably should have been working on that in the
- 2:16Speaker 10: 20 minutes I had before I realized you guys were
- 2:18Speaker 10: coming here.
- 2:18Speaker 8: See, the sad thing is when I go to their house,
- 2:21Speaker 8: they do have a title.
- 2:22Speaker 4: This is the bastion of awesome. Oh, wow. How do
- 2:26Speaker 4: I compete with that?
- 2:27Speaker 11: You don't.
- 2:28Speaker 10: You guys are welcome to christen my home.
- 2:31Speaker 8: Do you want to dub it something?
- 2:32Speaker 4: I have not put any thought into this. I am
- 2:34Speaker 4: as equally unprepared as Lucy is.
- 2:37Speaker 12: The Lucy Lair of Lusciousness?
- 2:40Speaker 6: Oh.
- 2:41Speaker 8: Sounds like you're a Bond villain.
- 2:43Speaker 10: It does make it sound like a whorehouse, but otherwise,
- 2:45Speaker 10: I like the alliteration.
- 2:46Speaker 12: I'm sorry.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Well, that's two whorehouse references we've had in the last
- 2:51Speaker 8: couple weeks. I like that during the art show, she
- 2:55Speaker 8: had no idea cat house meant whore. She had no idea.
- 2:59Speaker 10: Aw, that's precious. I used to work for an inventor
- 3:01Speaker 10: who invented things that nobody wanted. I used to work
- 3:04Speaker 10: for him. He would invent things that nobody wants. He
- 3:10Speaker 10: came up with a watch that told time by color.
- 3:13Speaker 10: So you had to memorize all these colors to figure
- 3:15Speaker 10: out what time it was.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Anyway, he created something.
- 3:18Speaker 8: It's green o'clock.
- 3:19Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 3:19Speaker 10: He created a cat carrier called the Portapussy. He never
- 3:23Speaker 10: knew that that was going to be problematic.
- 3:26Speaker 8: And he's probably going to have problems claiming that name
- 3:28Speaker 8: because I bet if you go into any adult shop,
- 3:32Speaker 8: it's already there.
- 3:33Speaker 10: All right.
- 3:34Speaker 8: So we are here taking over Lucy's house because we
- 3:37Speaker 8: were in town and it just became the. Somewhat convenient
- 3:41Speaker 8: location to stop off. So, hey, we are now invading
- 3:45Speaker 8: Lucy's space. Sorry about that.
- 3:47Speaker 12: We couldn't do it at the 99-cent burgers and shakes
- 3:50Speaker 12: place because what did it smell like?
- 3:51Speaker 4: It smelled like a porta potty. I could not possibly
- 3:54Speaker 4: fathom eating there. It was disgusting. I mean, their food
- 3:56Speaker 4: is okay. Their shakes are delicious. But for the love
- 3:59Speaker 4: of God, it smelled like a porta potty. And not
- 4:00Speaker 4: like a clean porta potty, if there ever was such
- 4:03Speaker 4: a thing. But like the Kentucky State Fair after three
- 4:07Speaker 4: days porta potty. That's what it smelled like.
- 4:09Speaker 8: That's pretty bad.
- 4:10Speaker 12: Yeah, that's pretty bad.
- 4:11Speaker 4: I was like, no, this is not going to happen.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So we won't eat outside. We're going to rough it.
- 4:16Speaker 4: We're going to eat outside on the picnic tables because
- 4:19Speaker 4: we're hardcore like that.
- 4:23Speaker 8: And then we relocated to Lucy's for the recap. So
- 4:26Speaker 8: where do we want to begin with our fun activities
- 4:29Speaker 8: for this big scare fest weekend?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Do you all need to start first? Because we weren't
- 4:34Speaker 4: there on Friday.
- 4:35Speaker 3: You all were there.
- 4:36Speaker 4: So do your stories need to go first?
- 4:38Speaker 8: If we want to go chronologically, I guess we can.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I think we should. I think that would be for
- 4:41Speaker 4: the best interest of all parties.
- 4:42Speaker 8: I don't have much from Friday, really.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I have a little from Saturday.
- 4:46Speaker 8: We can go in that order. Friday, I don't know.
- 4:52Speaker 8: I was there for their big kickoff, which was kind
- 4:54Speaker 8: of weird. Maybe I just haven't gotten used to it
- 4:57Speaker 8: or how it goes down, but everything else was awesome
- 5:00Speaker 8: this weekend. It's funny how many times during the weekend
- 5:06Speaker 8: I would run into people from, that we see at
- 5:09Speaker 8: other shows. And we kept going, wow, this one's really
- 5:12Speaker 8: well run and kind of relaxed. And I kind of
- 5:15Speaker 8: look forward to this one every year. So it's definitely
- 5:17Speaker 8: a very different tone that goes on around there.
- 5:21Speaker 10: Can we just discuss Patty and how adorable she is?
- 5:24Speaker 8: You do love me some Patty.
- 5:25Speaker 10: I love me some Patty. She's just like a little
- 5:28Speaker 10: sweetheart ray of sunshine. Like she's not somebody that I
- 5:31Speaker 10: don't know. that you would imagine creating a paranormal and
- 5:34Speaker 10: horror convention.
- 5:34Speaker 4: You make her sound like I would hate her just because.
- 5:37Speaker 8: Or she's possibly a Disney character.
- 5:39Speaker 4: Or a Care Bear from the description.
- 5:43Speaker 10: But she also hunts ghosts, so she's kind of a badass.
- 5:45Speaker 4: It's a ghost hunting Care Bear.
- 5:47Speaker 8: Paranormal Bear?
- 5:48Speaker 4: She fart rainbows because that's kind of what I'm getting
- 5:51Speaker 4: from this.
- 5:53Speaker 8: I think Paranormal Bear is also available to go rent
- 5:56Speaker 8: at your local adult shop.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 5:58Speaker 4: And her husband wears a safari suit.
- 6:00Speaker 8: At all times?
- 6:01Speaker 11: Yes.
- 6:02Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 6:03Speaker 8: Does he go on safari?
- 6:05Speaker 10: I can't answer that question. I don't know.
- 6:06Speaker 4: These are the mysteries of life.
- 6:08Speaker 8: And paranormal activities. What I did do Friday, I did
- 6:12Speaker 8: briefly talk to Bruce Davison, and yeah, we can check
- 6:17Speaker 8: that out. He had a lot going on, it seemed,
- 6:20Speaker 8: so we'll see what we got with Bruce. Oh, Rich,
- 6:38Speaker 8: I guess to get into it early, how early was
- 6:42Speaker 8: it that you realized you were interested in performing? In performing?
- 6:47Speaker 4: Oh, geez.
- 6:49Speaker 13: Well, I used to do Claude Raine's imitations of my
- 6:52Speaker 13: little Bible stories to keep from.
- 6:55Speaker 8: Going to bed.
- 6:57Speaker 13: This is the story of David and Goliath. And it
- 7:00Speaker 13: would keep me... So, yeah, young, I guess.
- 7:03Speaker 8: One of those kids that, yeah, was already trying to
- 7:06Speaker 8: find a way to kind of work that to their advantage.
- 7:08Speaker 13: Yes, I worked Aunt Delpha and let her say, oh, yeah,
- 7:13Speaker 13: he should be in the moving pictures. He doesn't have
- 7:16Speaker 13: to go to bed.
- 7:18Speaker 8: Well, at what point did that actually sink in and
- 7:20Speaker 8: you started sort of taking that seriously? It still hasn't,
- 7:24Speaker 8: I guess.
- 7:24Speaker 5: I went to.
- 7:26Speaker 13: College as an art major, and I got involved in theater.
- 7:30Speaker 13: And that was the slippery slope from there at Penn
- 7:34Speaker 13: State and ended up at NYU. I've been looking for
- 7:37Speaker 13: a job ever since, continually.
- 7:41Speaker 8: Was it one of those? I mean, you were actually
- 7:43Speaker 8: specifically setting out to do that as a career, or
- 7:46Speaker 8: it just sort of happened along the way? Well, it
- 7:48Speaker 8: just sort of happened, you know.
- 7:50Speaker 13: For me, I think everybody who wants to do that
- 7:53Speaker 13: should certainly have a backup plan because, you know, I'm
- 7:58Speaker 13: out of work every week.
- 8:00Speaker 8: I guess to jump ahead a few years there, I guess,
- 8:04Speaker 8: what do you think when you get handed the script
- 8:06Speaker 8: for Willard?
- 8:08Speaker 13: I didn't get handed a script. I had to go
- 8:10Speaker 13: audition for it.
- 8:11Speaker 8: Did you know what the movie was when you went
- 8:13Speaker 8: in for the audition?
- 8:14Speaker 3: Well, yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 13: Yeah, I auditioned at Paramount for Danny Mann, Daniel Mann,
- 8:21Speaker 13: and I did a, a number of scenes from it,
- 8:26Speaker 13: and then he said, well, you know, we've just got
- 8:28Speaker 13: to make sure your co-star likes you. And he put
- 8:31Speaker 13: a big rat on my shoulder and said, he likes you.
- 8:34Speaker 13: He sniffed into my ear, and that was the end
- 8:36Speaker 13: of that.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Were you prepared to deal with the rat?
- 8:40Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:41Speaker 13: I was young, you know, and hungry. And they were,
- 8:45Speaker 13: I mean, they were like pets. They were well kept.
- 8:49Speaker 8: Well trained, more than some of the other actors you
- 8:51Speaker 8: worked with?
- 8:52Speaker 13: Well, more than some of the producers and people like that,
- 8:56Speaker 13: you know, the two-legged ones.
- 8:58Speaker 8: Definitely. I was just trying to go through some of
- 9:01Speaker 8: the other fun titles, like Mother Jugs and Speed. That's
- 9:04Speaker 8: an amazing cast there.
- 9:06Speaker 13: Yeah, I had a great time with Bill Cosby. I
- 9:09Speaker 13: remember one time we were waiting until 3 in the
- 9:11Speaker 13: morning sometime, and there were all these kids always around
- 9:15Speaker 13: him playing in the neighborhood. And we were in an
- 9:17Speaker 13: ambulance waiting to drive into the shot. And he said,
- 9:21Speaker 13: come on, kids, I'm told, just get in. And I
- 9:23Speaker 13: bet 20 kids, it became like a clown car to
- 9:26Speaker 13: drive into this. The director didn't find that funny, but
- 9:30Speaker 13: he was always doing stuff like that.
- 9:33Speaker 8: And then, I guess, a really different turn as far
- 9:36Speaker 8: as when you get to Longtime Companion. Were you prepared,
- 9:39Speaker 8: I guess, for the depths that was going to go, or...
- 9:42Speaker 8: Even for the way that it was going to impact
- 9:44Speaker 8: the culture at that time?
- 9:45Speaker 13: It was a PBS television special, and I didn't think
- 9:50Speaker 13: it would even get on the air. So you never
- 9:53Speaker 13: know how things are going to turn out.
- 9:55Speaker 8: Have people recognized you specifically for that in those years
- 9:59Speaker 8: when that started? to become a lot more of an issue?
- 10:02Speaker 13: You know, there are all kinds of different films. I've
- 10:07Speaker 13: done stuff for 45 years, people. Everybody has their favorites
- 10:12Speaker 13: or the thing they hate the most, one of the two.
- 10:15Speaker 8: And then, I guess, just X-Men. How did you get
- 10:19Speaker 8: involved in that, and then what was the shooting like
- 10:21Speaker 8: for both of those? Brian Singer called me.
- 10:26Speaker 13: I worked with him in a movie before, and he
- 10:29Speaker 13: just said, come be in this, and that was it.
- 10:32Speaker 3: The rest I did.
- 10:34Speaker 8: Still seems like probably one of the ones most people
- 10:36Speaker 8: know Senator Kelly from. It just kind of hit that
- 10:39Speaker 8: pop culture so much.
- 10:40Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 10:41Speaker 8: Any new projects you want to tell people about? Yes,
- 10:43Speaker 8: I'm doing.
- 10:44Speaker 13: I'm doing a new TV series for A & E
- 10:47Speaker 13: called Those Who Kill with Chloe Zavigny and James Darcy
- 10:52Speaker 13: and James Morrison.
- 10:53Speaker 8: Thank you for talking to me. Thank you.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Willard is the story of a boy with some very
- 11:20Speaker 2: unusual friends.
- 11:23Speaker 7: Look at the rats.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Willard takes good care of them.
- 11:27Speaker 9: Yes.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Look at the rats.
- 11:30Speaker 2: And they will do anything for Willard.
- 11:33Speaker 4: Tear him up!
- 11:34Speaker 2: No, Willard!
- 11:35Speaker 4: No, Willard!
- 11:35Speaker 5: Willard, no!
- 11:36Speaker 4: No, no, no, Willard!
- 11:38Speaker 10: Willard!
- 11:42Speaker 2: Where your nightmares end. Willard begins from Cinerama Releasing, rated GP,
- 11:50Speaker 2: all ages, parental guidance. Willard is the one movie you
- 11:55Speaker 2: should not see alone.

- 12:49Speaker 8: All right, that's mostly what I did other than my
- 12:51Speaker 8: first run-in with Malcolm.
- 12:53Speaker 7: I did.
- 12:54Speaker 8: It was one of the few times I was like, okay,
- 12:56Speaker 8: because anymore I'm usually broke, and I've seen most of
- 12:59Speaker 8: these people at these conventions 4,000 times. So I just,
- 13:03Speaker 8: every once in a while, I'll get a photo or
- 13:04Speaker 8: something signed, but it doesn't always happen anymore because I
- 13:08Speaker 8: just don't have the money. And again, I see these
- 13:10Speaker 8: people more than I do my family sometimes. so it's
- 13:12Speaker 8: for the best but that one like it's one of
- 13:16Speaker 8: those i missed the only other time we'd been somewhere
- 13:18Speaker 8: where he was at and i just didn't have any
- 13:19Speaker 8: money then so i was like okay if there's any
- 13:22Speaker 8: way possible and the line isn't you know through the
- 13:25Speaker 8: parking lot i'm gonna try to at least get him
- 13:27Speaker 8: to sign something so i did go up there and
- 13:30Speaker 8: i had a nice little discussion with him and it
- 13:33Speaker 8: was all good he was actually in relatively good spirits
- 13:35Speaker 8: i was i wasn't sure what to think with him
- 13:37Speaker 8: you know he he seems like Sometimes his character kind
- 13:40Speaker 8: of bleeds over, and you can't tell, because he plays
- 13:43Speaker 8: some very harsh characters in his films. So, yeah, I
- 13:47Speaker 8: wasn't sure what to think. He was in pretty good spirits,
- 13:49Speaker 8: I thought. My times with him, he seemed like he
- 13:52Speaker 8: was in a good mood.
- 13:54Speaker 4: I figured it would be for the best if I
- 13:55Speaker 4: didn't talk to him because then I would talk about
- 13:57Speaker 4: Suck and it would not go well because I hated
- 14:00Speaker 4: that movie and no good things could come from it.
- 14:03Speaker 8: Well, I mean, you're going to have a few off
- 14:05Speaker 8: ones when you've done the number of films that he has.
- 14:08Speaker 8: I mean, it's amazing how many movies he's been.
- 14:10Speaker 10: I went to the Q & A that he did
- 14:12Speaker 10: on Saturday, which was supposed to be an hour-long Q
- 14:15Speaker 10: & A. About 40 minutes in, he was like, I'm out, bitches,
- 14:18Speaker 10: and just left. But he actually addressed that and was
- 14:22Speaker 10: super candid about it, which I found really refreshing. He
- 14:25Speaker 10: was just like, yeah, I've made some terrible movies. It's
- 14:27Speaker 10: just how it is. Did he specifically mention soccer? He
- 14:31Speaker 10: did not, but it's safe to assume it was implied.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Also generations.
- 14:37Speaker 8: Even Star Trek fans don't like it. It's funny to
- 14:39Speaker 8: me how much they push that one in their promotion.
- 14:41Speaker 12: I was like, really?
- 14:42Speaker 4: It's like hardcore Star Trek.
- 14:44Speaker 8: Fans don't like Generations.
- 14:46Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 14:47Speaker 7: Which one's Generations?
- 14:48Speaker 8: The one with both captains in it for some stupid reason.
- 14:52Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 14:53Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 14:53Speaker 8: The Nexus and Kirk and Picard.
- 14:59Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 15:00Speaker 12: Now I remember. It took me a while to remember.
- 15:02Speaker 8: It's got a big crash. That's cool, I guess. But
- 15:05Speaker 8: who cares? All right, so any other goings on? You
- 15:09Speaker 8: were sort of flying solo on Saturday. I gave up
- 15:11Speaker 8: on that one. So what was your activities on Saturday?
- 15:15Speaker 10: To be honest, I just popped in and popped out.
- 15:18Speaker 10: Film slang was happening this weekend, so I had film
- 15:21Speaker 10: slang obligations.
- 15:22Speaker 4: So basically I rolled out of bed.
- 15:24Speaker 10: And went down and watched Malcolm McDowell talk for 40 minutes,
- 15:28Speaker 10: which is like how often do I get to say
- 15:30Speaker 10: that happened in Lexington, Kentucky? So I walked in, saw that.
- 15:34Speaker 10: It was maybe half capacity, too. There really weren't a
- 15:36Speaker 10: lot of people there to hear him talk. It was
- 15:39Speaker 10: kind of amazing. I wish you guys had been there.
- 15:42Speaker 10: He's sort of a bastard, but the most delightful bastard ever.
- 15:47Speaker 10: I thought he was going to make this one girl cry.
- 15:51Speaker 10: He did warn people. At the very beginning, he said,
- 15:55Speaker 10: ask questions, but they have to be intelligent questions. If
- 15:57Speaker 10: they're not intelligent questions, then I'm not going to answer them. So,
- 16:01Speaker 10: and he said it in a very sort of stern
- 16:02Speaker 10: headmaster voice and we believed him. And anyway, this girl
- 16:06Speaker 10: stands up and she said, you know, I noticed there's
- 16:08Speaker 10: a lot of similarity in your roles in If and
- 16:11Speaker 10: A Clockwork Orange. And I was just wondering if your
- 16:15Speaker 10: character in If informed your performance in A Clockwork Orange.
- 16:18Speaker 10: And he looked at her like he wanted to murder her.
- 16:23Speaker 10: And then he said, that.
- 16:25Speaker 4: Is lazy comedy. Wait, what did he say?
- 16:27Speaker 10: That is lazy criticism. And everybody was kind of like, well, what?
- 16:31Speaker 4: Did he just say that?
- 16:32Speaker 10: And he was like, no, seriously, that is lazy criticism.
- 16:35Speaker 10: Where do you want me to start with how completely
- 16:37Speaker 10: wrong you are? And then everybody was just like, oh, God.
- 16:41Speaker 10: And you could tell that people were getting uncomfortable. He
- 16:42Speaker 10: was like, no, no, no, no, no, it's fine.
- 16:43Speaker 4: She's pretty.
- 16:44Speaker 10: She's going to be fine in life.
- 16:45Speaker 4: But seriously, that was a terrible question.
- 16:48Speaker 10: And then he just proceeded to talk about how it
- 16:50Speaker 10: was the worst question ever and then talk about how
- 16:52Speaker 10: different those roles and performances were.
- 16:55Speaker 7: So she's wrong.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Slam!
- 16:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but if you're going to be told how wrong
- 16:59Speaker 4: you are, who better to tell you than Malcolm McDowell?
- 17:02Speaker 4: I mean, seriously, if I don't like being told that
- 17:05Speaker 4: I'm wrong, because I rarely ever am. But if I
- 17:07Speaker 4: were to be wrong, I would prefer to be told
- 17:09Speaker 4: by him, but then I would probably cry. He would
- 17:11Speaker 4: be one of the two that would make me cry.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Malcolm McDowell and the guy whose name I just forgot.
- 17:17Speaker 4: It was totally in my head. The guy we saw
- 17:20Speaker 4: at the.
- 17:20Speaker 8: Arlie Armey?
- 17:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 12: I was going to say Arlie Armey would probably make you,
- 17:24Speaker 12: because you were scared to death of him.
- 17:25Speaker 4: I was like, oh my God, I don't want to
- 17:26Speaker 4: talk to him. He's going to make me cry.
- 17:29Speaker 8: And he was ridiculously nice.
- 17:30Speaker 7: Yes, he was.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Oddly enough, both worked with Kubrick.
- 17:34Speaker 10: Yeah, but, I mean, despite that moment, and many similar
- 17:38Speaker 10: moments throughout the Q & A that were not, yeah,
- 17:42Speaker 10: he was very charming in his streak of cruelty. I mean,
- 17:46Speaker 10: everyone was laughing, and, you know, he's a great raconteur, and, yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 10: he won us over.
- 17:52Speaker 4: But he did.
- 17:53Speaker 10: There were several people where he was just like, that
- 17:55Speaker 10: can't possibly be a serious question.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Did you ask him any questions?
- 17:59Speaker 10: I learned the lesson pretty early on. I was not
- 18:02Speaker 10: going there.
- 18:05Speaker 8: You should have come up with something really dumb. Just
- 18:08Speaker 8: to test that theory.
- 18:09Speaker 4: What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
- 18:12Speaker 8: That's a good question, actually. That's not a stupid question.
- 18:15Speaker 8: I feel like that's a good question.
- 18:16Speaker 12: I think some people want.
- 18:17Speaker 7: To know that. I think so.
- 18:18Speaker 4: If time was a color, what color.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Would you be?
- 18:23Speaker 8: Green o'clock. Green o'clock.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I bet that would have gone over well.
- 18:29Speaker 10: Get out.
- 18:29Speaker 4: And then he would have beat me to death with
- 18:30Speaker 4: a microphone.
- 18:31Speaker 12: If you had asked him immediately after that girl's question,
- 18:35Speaker 12: he would have just pointed to the security and be like,
- 18:38Speaker 12: get that person out of here.
- 18:40Speaker 8: But you'd start it with, oh yeah, watch this.
- 18:43Speaker 4: You want to hear a stupid question.
- 18:45Speaker 8: You want dumb. I'll take care of that.
- 18:47Speaker 4: I will show you dumb like you have never seen before.
- 18:52Speaker 8: Good times. Saturday?
- 18:56Speaker 4: Are we still on Saturday? We weren't there Saturday.
- 18:58Speaker 8: I don't think we have anything else for Saturday. Do
- 19:01Speaker 8: you want to do your rundown or should we take
- 19:05Speaker 8: a break and have our other, our little insert item here?
- 19:09Speaker 8: Because I have sort of a bonus interview. This didn't
- 19:14Speaker 8: happen at Scarefest but the place it did didn't really
- 19:18Speaker 8: help do anything for us last week. So yeah, I'm
- 19:21Speaker 8: not really promoting them but scarefest was awesome so the scarefest.com
- 19:26Speaker 8: anyway um yeah but i did get an awesome interview
- 19:29Speaker 8: last week and i thought i would uh throw it
- 19:31Speaker 8: in the mix here and share it with you guys
- 19:33Speaker 8: i did talk to garrett graham who if you like
- 19:37Speaker 8: your cult movies he is in them and you probably
- 19:41Speaker 8: know who he is i when i saw he was
- 19:43Speaker 8: coming like i was just like for me it was
- 19:46Speaker 8: a very specific attachment and a weird like fixation as
- 19:50Speaker 8: a child. Oh my God, it's the dude from Used Cars.
- 19:54Speaker 8: I had such a weird use of it, which I
- 19:56Speaker 8: will tell him in a minute. Even if you're not
- 20:00Speaker 8: into that, Phantom of the Paradise. He's in so many
- 20:05Speaker 8: awesome movies.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I knew none of the movies you listed off to me.
- 20:08Speaker 8: Yeah, you're out of the loop, though.
- 20:10Speaker 4: I generally am. This is no news to me.
- 20:13Speaker 8: How about The Little Mermaid? Have you ever heard of
- 20:15Speaker 8: The Little Mermaid?
- 20:16Speaker 4: I have, in fact, heard of The Little Mermaid.
- 20:20Speaker 8: I think he's an uncredited voice on that. The more
- 20:22Speaker 8: I got into his stuff, it's like he's done so
- 20:24Speaker 8: much stuff. He's also a songwriter, has worked with some
- 20:29Speaker 8: of the guys from The Grateful Dead. He's done so
- 20:31Speaker 8: much stuff, so I'm just like, yeah, we, we have
- 20:36Speaker 8: to talk to him even if just for a little bit.
- 20:38Speaker 8: So we did have a, a, a nice little interview
- 20:42Speaker 8: with Garrett here. We will, uh, check in with that and,
- 20:45Speaker 8: Take our break.
- 21:12Speaker 11: Trying to get.
- 21:22Speaker 15: Into it early and see how you got into it
- 21:33Speaker 15: were you like a kid that was interested in acting
- 21:35Speaker 15: and performing it.
- 21:36Speaker 14: Was always something that I did on the side in
- 21:39Speaker 14: school you know and gee whiz the first job I
- 21:43Speaker 14: can remember well it wasn't a job the first thing
- 21:46Speaker 14: I remember doing was when I was a child like
- 21:50Speaker 14: seven or eight years old at the Detroit Art Institute
- 21:54Speaker 14: I was in a two performance production of Winnie the
- 21:58Speaker 14: Pooh I played one of Kanga's friends and relations me
- 22:06Speaker 14: and another guy had a scene to ourselves but Straight
- 22:11Speaker 14: through lower school and high school and college, it was
- 22:17Speaker 14: something I did on the side. At Columbia University, I
- 22:20Speaker 14: was president of the Columbia Players, for instance. But I
- 22:27Speaker 14: always thought in college that I was going to be
- 22:29Speaker 14: a French lit major. And then I got a call
- 22:32Speaker 14: one day in the players' office from a guy named
- 22:38Speaker 14: Brian who said he was... He had been the player's chairman, president,
- 22:44Speaker 14: 10 years before when he'd been at Columbia. And now
- 22:47Speaker 14: he was trying to make a movie, and he hoped
- 22:50Speaker 14: that the players would help him maybe with extras and
- 22:53Speaker 14: rehearsal space or clothes, I don't know, this and that.
- 22:57Speaker 14: And he also wanted a few lead actors, people with
- 23:01Speaker 14: a lot of experience that might be in the arts
- 23:04Speaker 14: program there or at Minor Latham Playhouse across the street.
- 23:09Speaker 5: And.
- 23:10Speaker 14: That they should come and see him. And he gave
- 23:12Speaker 14: me an address on West End Avenue. And I said, okay,
- 23:17Speaker 14: I'll take care of it. And I never told anybody else.
- 23:20Speaker 14: I went down there by myself and sat in a
- 23:24Speaker 14: room and improvised for three days with a guy named Bob.
- 23:29Speaker 14: And then the third person sort of came and went,
- 23:31Speaker 14: a variety of guys. And Bob was Bob De Niro.
- 23:34Speaker 14: And Brian was Brian De Palma. And what came out
- 23:37Speaker 14: of that was a film called Greetings. That's the first professional,
- 23:42Speaker 14: if you want to call it that. We didn't get
- 23:43Speaker 14: paid a dime, but that was the first gig I did.
- 23:46Speaker 14: And that was it for my French lit major career.
- 23:51Speaker 8: Could you tell at that point? I mean, obviously he
- 23:54Speaker 8: grew to be very well respected and had a specific style.
- 23:57Speaker 8: Could you tell already there that he had something going on?
- 24:01Speaker 8: De Niro? Well, I mean, either, I guess. I was
- 24:03Speaker 8: thinking De Palma. I mean, he was a little earlier
- 24:05Speaker 8: in his career.
- 24:05Speaker 16: Yeah, well.
- 24:07Speaker 14: Brian and I did four films together, ultimately. And we
- 24:11Speaker 14: developed a very good sort of intuitive relationship. I knew
- 24:17Speaker 14: what he wanted, and he knew that I could deliver it.
- 24:21Speaker 14: So he didn't have to give me much in the
- 24:24Speaker 14: way of specific dialogue, unless there was some particular point
- 24:28Speaker 14: that he wanted to make. For instance, in Greetings, my
- 24:33Speaker 14: character says, the Warren Commission is a whitewash. And that
- 24:36Speaker 14: was a line he specifically wanted in there. But otherwise,
- 24:40Speaker 14: I had great freedom. I improvised straight through all four movies, practically.
- 24:45Speaker 8: Did he keep coming to you with roles, or did
- 24:47Speaker 8: you just.
- 24:48Speaker 14: Yeah, I would hear from him. It's been a while,
- 24:52Speaker 14: but he would call me and say, all right, we're
- 24:54Speaker 14: doing a sequel to Greetings. We're doing a film called
- 24:56Speaker 14: Phantom of the Paradise out here. I'd like you to
- 24:58Speaker 14: come out. And then there was another one called Home Movies,
- 25:01Speaker 14: which was back in New York again.
- 25:04Speaker 8: Phantom of the Paradise became, I mean, it found its
- 25:07Speaker 8: cult following. I guess when you first read through that script,
- 25:10Speaker 8: what did you think of it?
- 25:12Speaker 14: Well, I was young and dumb. I didn't have a
- 25:16Speaker 14: lot of questions about anything. The fact that he wanted
- 25:19Speaker 14: me to be in a movie, and I knew him,
- 25:21Speaker 14: I knew what the relationship was. I was all set.
- 25:28Speaker 14: The script really could have been about just about anything. Originally,
- 25:32Speaker 14: Paul Williams, who gave his music to the film, which
- 25:35Speaker 14: was a big gift. He was a highly sought-after songwriter
- 25:40Speaker 14: at that point. He was originally going to be the Phantom.
- 25:44Speaker 14: He wanted to play the Phantom. And I would have
- 25:48Speaker 14: been Swan. And Bill Finley, for whom the part was written,
- 25:53Speaker 14: would have been the Phantom. But then Paul changed his mind.
- 25:57Speaker 14: He wanted to play Swan. And Bill.
- 26:01Speaker 14: Was able to become, I'm sorry, I mixed up the
- 26:04Speaker 14: chronology there. When things switched, when Paul decided to be Swan,
- 26:08Speaker 14: that's when Finley got to play the Phantom. And so
- 26:14Speaker 14: I got this roll of beef. And that certainly seems
- 26:18Speaker 14: to have turned out pretty well.
- 26:19Speaker 8: Yeah, I'd say so. You were kind of involved in
- 26:22Speaker 8: music at that point too. I guess, did that play
- 26:25Speaker 8: into it as far as.
- 26:26Speaker 14: Well, I wasn't really involved at that point. I was
- 26:29Speaker 14: a terrible guitar player. It was later, when I was
- 26:33Speaker 14: back in New York for a couple of years, that
- 26:35Speaker 14: I decided I wanted to be a rock critic. And
- 26:38Speaker 14: I did that for a couple of years, mostly because
- 26:40Speaker 14: you got a bunch of free records. You got all
- 26:43Speaker 14: the free records you wanted. And at that point, it
- 26:45Speaker 14: was records. It was vinyl. It was all vinyl. And
- 26:48Speaker 14: I loved music. I do still love rock and roll music.
- 26:55Speaker 14: And I became a fan of the Grateful Dead when
- 26:58Speaker 14: they came to play at Columbia. And years later, a
- 27:05Speaker 14: decade later, by happenstance, through a mutual friend, I met
- 27:10Speaker 14: Bob Weir. And he and I became friends. And I
- 27:15Speaker 14: wrote a song for him that he did on one
- 27:19Speaker 14: of the Grateful Dead's albums. So I actually have two
- 27:22Speaker 14: gold records from the Grateful Dead, of which I'm very proud.
- 27:25Speaker 14: I have to say.
- 27:26Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 14: And I've written stuff for Rat Dog, which is his
- 27:30Speaker 14: current side band.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:32Speaker 7: That's amazing.
- 27:33Speaker 8: I did just want to ask you about, Cannonball wasn't huge,
- 27:36Speaker 8: but you did get to work with Paul Bartel. What
- 27:38Speaker 8: was that process like?
- 27:39Speaker 14: Well, Bartel and I had become friends, social friends, you know.
- 27:45Speaker 14: And he, I didn't have to audition, he just called
- 27:48Speaker 14: and said, I said, be in this movie. And because
- 27:52Speaker 14: Paul and I were friends, we got along great, you know.
- 27:55Speaker 14: And he wasn't, Like Ryan, he wasn't a dictatorial director
- 27:59Speaker 14: at all. A lot of freedom. But I ended up
- 28:04Speaker 14: having a really great time. An actor who's done a
- 28:08Speaker 14: lot of stuff is never really satisfied with his own work.
- 28:13Speaker 14: An actor is the most critical person you could imagine
- 28:19Speaker 14: of your own work. But I like my character and
- 28:24Speaker 14: my performance in that film a lot. Herman Waters, would-be
- 28:29Speaker 14: country and western singer. We had a great time, great time.
- 28:33Speaker 14: And I was in a car, if you recall, with
- 28:36Speaker 14: Bill McKinney, the late Bill McKinney. And that was someone
- 28:40Speaker 14: else I got to know socially. So we had a
- 28:44Speaker 14: lot of fun, a lot of fun.
- 28:45Speaker 8: Well, and I had to hit on, you're in one
- 28:48Speaker 8: of my favorite movies of all time. And one that
- 28:50Speaker 8: hit me really young and like, it was such a
- 28:52Speaker 8: weird mixture because it was like, I remember being really
- 28:55Speaker 8: into Star Wars. And like the next year, News Cars
- 28:58Speaker 8: was like my favorite movie.
- 29:00Speaker 14: It's a great movie. It's a great movie. It's as
- 29:02Speaker 14: funny today as when we made it at 79. Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 14: It's a hilarious picture.
- 29:07Speaker 8: It holds up so well, and that was like early Zemeckis.
- 29:11Speaker 8: I mean, that was when he was just kind of
- 29:12Speaker 8: finding his way. Absolutely.
- 29:15Speaker 14: He was a protege of Spielberg's at that point.
- 29:17Speaker 8: So I guess what was it like working on that,
- 29:20Speaker 8: or how did you come into play into that one?
- 29:21Speaker 14: Well, that I think I actually auditioned for, maybe. But
- 29:28Speaker 14: it was, as you can imagine if you've seen the movie,
- 29:31Speaker 14: the set was.
- 29:32Speaker 7: A lot of fun.
- 29:33Speaker 14: A lot of fun. I've been fortunate that way. I've
- 29:35Speaker 14: had a lot of gigs that were a lot of
- 29:36Speaker 14: fun to shoot. where the set was a happy set.
- 29:42Speaker 14: A lot of joking around and carrying on.
- 29:45Speaker 8: How about the stunts and everything?
- 29:47Speaker 14: A great stunt crew. A great stunt crew headed up
- 29:51Speaker 14: by a guy named Terry Leonard, who had been.
- 29:56Speaker 14: Well, at some point, they did a remake of Stagecoach,
- 29:59Speaker 14: and he'd done the stunt that Yakima Canute had originally done,
- 30:04Speaker 14: doubling for Wayne, working his way back under the horses
- 30:08Speaker 14: and under the carriage, and got run over by the carriage,
- 30:12Speaker 14: so he'd been pretty badly injured. So he would gimp
- 30:15Speaker 14: the wall around one good leg. But he put some
- 30:19Speaker 14: incredible stunts together, jumping the train and rolling that beautiful
- 30:24Speaker 14: stretcher A beautiful car at the beginning.
- 30:29Speaker 8: Kurt jumping from one car to the other.
- 30:31Speaker 14: Yeah, yeah. It looks as though we're going much faster
- 30:36Speaker 14: than we actually were, of course. But, yeah, Kurt, all guts,
- 30:41Speaker 14: all guts.
- 30:42Speaker 8: And then weren't you using live ammo when you were blowing.
- 30:44Speaker 3: Up the car?
- 30:45Speaker 10: No, no, no.
- 30:46Speaker 11: No?
- 30:46Speaker 16: No.
- 30:47Speaker 14: Well, now wait a minute. Let me think.
- 30:48Speaker 8: Like on the used car lot when you were, like, firing?
- 30:50Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 14: No, I know the scene. Marshall Lucky. I know the scene.
- 30:52Speaker 11: I mean.
- 30:53Speaker 14: The stuntman shot some live ammo, I think. I wanted to,
- 30:57Speaker 14: but they wouldn't let me do it. So I was
- 31:00Speaker 14: loaded with blanks.
- 31:01Speaker 8: Yeah, it seemed like they were kind of rolling fast
- 31:03Speaker 8: and loose there. But yeah, it's still one of the
- 31:07Speaker 8: funniest movies ever. Absolutely. But yeah, I think other than that,
- 31:12Speaker 8: you are Bud the Chud. I mean, has that defined
- 31:15Speaker 8: you since then, since you've kind of adopted the name
- 31:17Speaker 8: through the rest of them?
- 31:18Speaker 14: I did get a credit on a couple of movies,
- 31:21Speaker 14: not as Garrett Graham, but as Bud T.
- 31:24Speaker 8: Chud.
- 31:26Speaker 14: Again, that was directed by a friend of mine, a
- 31:28Speaker 14: guy I'd known in New York, become friends with in
- 31:31Speaker 14: New York, David Irving. And I talked to David about this.
- 31:37Speaker 14: I wanted to make something of it. And we talked
- 31:39Speaker 14: about the role, and it obviously has Frankenstein aspects too.
- 31:44Speaker 14: But I wanted him to be a romantic, a disappointed lover.
- 31:51Speaker 14: I wanted it to be bittersweet, to humanize the guy
- 31:55Speaker 14: a bit. But also because that's a classic motif.
- 32:00Speaker 7: Romeo, sort of.
- 32:02Speaker 8: It's taken it much deeper than people expected in Chud,
- 32:04Speaker 8: I'm sure.
- 32:05Speaker 5: So that's cool.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 32:07Speaker 10: All right.
- 32:08Speaker 8: Well, thank you for.
- 32:10Speaker 15: Talking with us today.
- 32:13Speaker 3: Thank you. Use cars.
- 32:16Speaker 12: Everybody's got one to trade.
- 32:19Speaker 1: Use cars.
- 32:21Speaker 6: Everybody's got one to sell.
- 32:24Speaker 8: Use car fire.
- 32:26Speaker 7: Take care.
- 32:27Speaker 8: Fire beware.
- 32:41Speaker 16: If you leave the theater, folks, please be careful. Don't
- 32:45Speaker 16: let this happen to your car. Be sure to remove
- 32:50Speaker 16: the speaker before you leave. If you should accidentally pull
- 32:54Speaker 16: a speaker loose, please turn it in at our snack
- 32:56Speaker 16: bar or box office.
- 32:59Speaker 3: Dave, I do not get superheroes.
- 33:01Speaker 8: Oh, my God, I don't get you.
- 33:03Speaker 12: What don't you get?
- 33:04Speaker 3: Tower bot here.
- 33:06Speaker 17: Well, the meatbags were going to say that if you're
- 33:09Speaker 17: a geek and like podcasts, then you could try Tower
- 33:12Speaker 17: of Technobabble at www.toweroftechnobabble.com. Then this started. Well, it's up
- 33:21Speaker 17: to you. I'm gonna get my taser and put a
- 33:23Speaker 17: stop to this. Towerbot out. Okay, monkeys.
- 33:29Speaker 8: It's nap time.
- 33:36Speaker 12: Thank you.
- 34:21Speaker 4: I do want to hang out with Bobby.
- 34:24Speaker 8: All right. Tell people about your Bobby experience.
- 34:27Speaker 4: It's not really much of an experience because I don't
- 34:29Speaker 4: really talk to him. So it's like, it's Bobby. And
- 34:31Speaker 4: I got all I do is sit and stare because
- 34:32Speaker 4: it's And that was about it. He was very nice,
- 34:35Speaker 4: very friendly, very enthusiastic.
- 34:36Speaker 8: That would be Bobby from Twin Peaks.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Bobby Briggs.
- 34:38Speaker 8: He does have a name, right?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Dana Ashbrook.
- 34:41Speaker 5: There you go.
- 34:41Speaker 4: I knew it, too. Thank you very much. Yeah, he
- 34:43Speaker 4: seemed a lot friendlier than Sherilyn Finn. He at least
- 34:45Speaker 4: seemed like he didn't mind being there. No offense to
- 34:47Speaker 4: Sherilyn Finn, but she seemed like she had other things
- 34:50Speaker 4: that she wouldn't be doing, and it wasn't.
- 34:52Speaker 8: And it wasn't talking to me, because she didn't.
- 34:55Speaker 12: She was different places.
- 34:56Speaker 4: Different places, okay. Hey, she at least told me she
- 35:01Speaker 4: liked my hair. So that's more than you got.
- 35:03Speaker 8: Yeah, that's more than I got. Because I got here.
- 35:06Speaker 8: I don't even know if she said here.
- 35:07Speaker 4: You got an exaggerated sigh.
- 35:09Speaker 8: Yeah, I was told. I didn't get that, but the
- 35:12Speaker 8: other party involved that I won't out was standing there
- 35:14Speaker 8: when she had to get up and take the photo.
- 35:16Speaker 8: And I was told that she meant.
- 35:20Speaker 8: Which I kind of thought... Well, I at least got
- 35:22Speaker 8: that out of her, so I can say that in life.
- 35:24Speaker 8: I mean, she didn't seem outwardly rude. I bored Sherilyn Finn.
- 35:26Speaker 4: I mean, she didn't seem like outwardly rude, just that
- 35:28Speaker 4: she just didn't want to be there, which I'm like, fine, whatever.
- 35:31Speaker 4: If you don't want to be there, then just don't
- 35:33Speaker 4: be there.
- 35:34Speaker 8: I mean, that's the thing. There's very few people in
- 35:37Speaker 8: all these excursions of ours that I've run into that
- 35:40Speaker 8: I would actually put in the bad category, and I
- 35:42Speaker 8: certainly don't put her there.
- 35:43Speaker 4: She just.
- 35:44Speaker 8: She didn't seem like it was something she wanted to do,
- 35:47Speaker 8: but I guess maybe she just needs to do that
- 35:49Speaker 8: now or it's something somebody talked her into doing.
- 35:51Speaker 4: I appreciate getting the opportunity to get her autograph, even
- 35:54Speaker 4: though she didn't personalize it. It kind of pissed me off.
- 35:56Speaker 8: She didn't personalize mine either.
- 35:57Speaker 1: I got love.
- 35:58Speaker 4: At least you didn't.
- 35:58Speaker 10: That means you can sell it later. Let's look at
- 36:01Speaker 10: the bright side.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 8: But it's my time with Sherilyn when she ignored me.
- 36:07Speaker 4: She at least put love on mine, so neener, neener.
- 36:09Speaker 4: I have exes. Bobby Briggs, on the other hand, was
- 36:12Speaker 4: super friendly and just super chit-chatty, and he was wanting
- 36:15Speaker 4: to hang out with people that were in line in
- 36:16Speaker 4: front of us. I didn't talk to him, so I
- 36:17Speaker 4: was like, oh, Bobby. And he has better hair now
- 36:20Speaker 4: than he did back on the show.
- 36:22Speaker 8: Although he does, we decided, have Leland hair now.
- 36:25Speaker 4: But it works better for him than the hair that
- 36:26Speaker 4: he had on Twin Peaks. It was rough.
- 36:29Speaker 8: I'm assuming he didn't pick that.
- 36:30Speaker 4: His face has always been beautiful, though. He's always had
- 36:32Speaker 4: a beautiful face.
- 36:34Speaker 8: And from what you tell me, even when I saw him,
- 36:36Speaker 8: I would just sort of pass by the table and
- 36:38Speaker 8: he seemed like he was very, like, entertaining and engaged
- 36:41Speaker 8: with the people. And he seemed kind of fun. So, Dana,
- 36:44Speaker 8: if you want to come on the show, you know.
- 36:46Speaker 8: Later down the line when we run into him, we'll
- 36:48Speaker 8: see if we can get him to sit in.
- 36:49Speaker 4: So I should not say anything bad about him so
- 36:50Speaker 4: that eventually he'll come on. I had nothing bad about him.
- 36:53Speaker 4: I can't say anything bad about him. He did seem
- 36:55Speaker 4: legitimately friendly and chitchatty and he personalized my picture. Because
- 36:59Speaker 4: he's like, hey, that's what my name was. He made
- 37:01Speaker 4: sure he spelled it right. And then he did, oh, Misty.
- 37:03Speaker 4: Play Misty for me. Because I never get that. I'm like, yeah,
- 37:07Speaker 4: I get that all the time. So he wrote to Misty,
- 37:09Speaker 4: play for me. And I was so excited.
- 37:12Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 37:12Speaker 8: And you started dancing around.
- 37:13Speaker 4: I did a little bit. I did a little bit
- 37:15Speaker 4: of a dance. It probably looked more like a seizure.
- 37:17Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 37:18Speaker 8: Like that weird zombie today? What was that girl?
- 37:20Speaker 4: I'm not really sure what was going on with that.
- 37:21Speaker 8: She was having some sort of fit. And she was
- 37:23Speaker 8: pretending to be a zombie.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Did we have any other experiences from our last weekend experience?
- 37:27Speaker 4: Other experiences?
- 37:29Speaker 8: There wasn't really much going on, and that's why I
- 37:31Speaker 8: didn't try to, like, force a show out of it,
- 37:33Speaker 8: because there wasn't really much. Like, other than that, like,
- 37:37Speaker 8: we hung out with our usual, like, you know, convention crew,
- 37:40Speaker 8: all the people that we run into every, sometimes every
- 37:44Speaker 8: couple of weeks, depending on who it is, and then
- 37:46Speaker 8: a few of them only, like, twice a year, but, like,
- 37:48Speaker 8: we just sort of hung out with people and went
- 37:50Speaker 8: and ate food, and I was like, I don't know
- 37:52Speaker 8: that there's really a, an entertaining show here.
- 37:55Speaker 4: We did see Barry Bostwick. He is old.
- 37:58Speaker 8: Well, it's been a long time.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Like damn old. Like, good God, how many great, great,
- 38:04Speaker 4: great kids does this man have? He's old.
- 38:07Speaker 8: Oh, he's another one though. He's been in some interesting projects.
- 38:11Speaker 4: And yet my first response, hey, there's asshole. Nice.
- 38:16Speaker 8: I'm sure he's never gotten that before either.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. My boyfriend was confused. What are you
- 38:20Speaker 4: talking about?
- 38:21Speaker 8: What did he ever do to you?
- 38:23Speaker 12: It took me a while to remember what you were
- 38:25Speaker 12: talking about. I had forgotten that he was in Rocky.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Yeah, we didn't have much time there last time.
- 38:32Speaker 12: It was last minute. We just kind of jetted up
- 38:34Speaker 12: there and then hung out for a little bit and
- 38:36Speaker 12: then split.
- 38:39Speaker 4: Good times, good times.
- 38:40Speaker 8: That was mine. I just wanted to talk to Garrett
- 38:42Speaker 8: and I did. So that was cool. He was very
- 38:44Speaker 8: nice and he had some interesting stuff and I would
- 38:48Speaker 8: have liked to talk to him more. Again, he has
- 38:50Speaker 8: so many projects that I Again, just go look at
- 38:54Speaker 8: some of the, like, amazing, like, weird cult. Anything in, like,
- 38:59Speaker 8: the 70s and going into the 80s was just a
- 39:01Speaker 8: whole group of weird stuff, one of which we're actually
- 39:04Speaker 8: going to return to. So that one, we'll just plant
- 39:07Speaker 8: that seed and we'll come back. We have a special
- 39:09Speaker 8: episode in the works there and another one coming up.
- 39:12Speaker 8: So with that, what are we going to do with today?
- 39:15Speaker 8: We'll roll into the activities of today. So what was
- 39:19Speaker 8: your take on Scarefest today, Misty?
- 39:23Speaker 4: It was a rather enjoyable experience. My only complaint is
- 39:27Speaker 4: why they feel the need to have people walk around
- 39:29Speaker 4: being obnoxious. Like the people that jump up at you
- 39:32Speaker 4: or like will try to scare you.
- 39:34Speaker 8: Yeah. They kind of quit doing that for a couple
- 39:36Speaker 8: of years and then this year it came back.
- 39:38Speaker 4: They had clowns this year.
- 39:40Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 39:41Speaker 4: And I'm not big on, I'm not afraid of clowns.
- 39:43Speaker 4: I just, I'm not big on them. I don't like them.
- 39:45Speaker 4: I'm not like afraid. I'm not like, ah! I'm like, ugh,
- 39:48Speaker 4: get away. It's like the same as magicians. I don't
- 39:49Speaker 4: fucking like magicians. It's as simple as that.
- 39:51Speaker 3: It's magic.
- 39:52Speaker 4: It's fucking bullshit.
- 39:53Speaker 10: Now, are these officially sanctioned scare fest? I have no idea.
- 39:58Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure they are.
- 39:59Speaker 10: They're not just weirdos.
- 40:00Speaker 8: I mean, they're weirdos too, but I think they are
- 40:02Speaker 8: okayed and supposed to be part of the show that
- 40:06Speaker 8: is the whole convention and they just kind of have them.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Oh, you know what?
- 40:11Speaker 10: They have like a haunted house down the street from
- 40:13Speaker 10: there and now I'm thinking I remember them somehow being
- 40:15Speaker 10: affiliated and I think that might be to advertise their work.
- 40:19Speaker 10: So maybe let's not blame scare.
- 40:21Speaker 8: But they're allowing it to go on, and they really
- 40:23Speaker 8: should put the smack down on that. Patty, I love
- 40:26Speaker 8: your show. I'm just saying. That's a little annoying.
- 40:28Speaker 12: Well, I think they kind of know who to scare
- 40:30Speaker 12: and who not to scare because they don't.
- 40:33Speaker 4: They never came near us.
- 40:35Speaker 8: Yeah, the entire weekend they never came near me because
- 40:38Speaker 8: they know I don't care.
- 40:39Speaker 12: Yeah, and I'm not really scared of clowns either. I
- 40:41Speaker 12: just don't trust them because I lived above a clown
- 40:47Speaker 12: for a while.
- 40:49Speaker 8: Oh, this is one of those serial killer stories.
- 40:51Speaker 12: No, she's not a serial killer, but who knows? She
- 40:54Speaker 12: could have been. Well, yeah, she was. Yeah, she smoked.
- 40:57Speaker 12: She chain smoked a lot. And then at night she
- 40:59Speaker 12: would beat her daughter. And I would have to go
- 41:02Speaker 12: to sleep to the sounds of her beating her.
- 41:04Speaker 4: You can see the face that Lucy just made her
- 41:06Speaker 4: back with a shock.
- 41:08Speaker 12: Well, her daughter was like 16 or 17. That makes
- 41:12Speaker 12: it better.
- 41:13Speaker 8: She could have fought back at that age. Come on,
- 41:15Speaker 8: kick your mom's ass.
- 41:16Speaker 12: I'm trying to tell the damn story here. her daughter
- 41:19Speaker 12: was like 16 or 17 years old and she was
- 41:21Speaker 12: kind of a, she was always shoplifting and getting in trouble,
- 41:25Speaker 12: but her mom wasn't much better either. No, they were,
- 41:29Speaker 12: it was just a big family of just being messed up. And, uh,
- 41:34Speaker 12: they would be down there usually around 11 o'clock, which
- 41:36Speaker 12: is a right around the time I had to go
- 41:37Speaker 12: to sleep. They would start screaming and throwing stuff and
- 41:41Speaker 12: then she would start beating her and she would start
- 41:43Speaker 12: screaming and, I would have to listen to her run
- 41:46Speaker 12: into a room, slam her door and cry herself to sleep.
- 41:49Speaker 12: Cause she, her room was right underneath my room. And
- 41:51Speaker 12: I was just like, Oh my God, call the police
- 41:54Speaker 12: on them a couple of times. But cops were like,
- 41:56Speaker 12: can't do anything. You know, I mean, all you can
- 41:58Speaker 12: do is call if they're too loud, you know, she
- 42:02Speaker 12: eventually ran away. But the lady, the lady, you know,
- 42:06Speaker 12: one day she saw me and she was like, Oh, hi,
- 42:09Speaker 12: would you, you know, we're having an open clown workshop
- 42:12Speaker 12: at the clown school. And I was just like, What?
- 42:15Speaker 12: Why do you think I would be interested in this? Oh,
- 42:18Speaker 12: it's such a joyous thing to bring joy to people.
- 42:21Speaker 12: And I'm like, do you think I don't hear you
- 42:24Speaker 12: beat your child downstairs? What's wrong with you? And I
- 42:28Speaker 12: was just like, I don't trust clowns. All the clowns
- 42:30Speaker 12: that I've met, like not scare fest clown type people
- 42:34Speaker 12: or people that work at horror conventions or any of that.
- 42:37Speaker 12: Like actual clowns. Actual normal clowns.
- 42:40Speaker 10: Normal clowns.
- 42:42Speaker 12: Yeah, there's no such thing.
- 42:43Speaker 8: Just fucking clowns.
- 42:44Speaker 12: Like, even some of the ones I see working at, like,
- 42:47Speaker 12: Shriners and stuff like that. Dude, those people are fucked up.
- 42:50Speaker 12: They are. They are just weird.
- 42:52Speaker 8: Shakes is not just a movie. It's a way of life.
- 42:54Speaker 12: Or Peony. Peony the Clown.
- 42:57Speaker 10: That reminds me of the clown mom.
- 42:59Speaker 12: You remember the picture?
- 43:01Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 43:02Speaker 12: Peony the Clown.
- 43:03Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 43:03Speaker 3: Remember the picture.
- 43:05Speaker 7: You remember the picture.
- 43:06Speaker 4: You can't make me.
- 43:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 43:09Speaker 10: No, I was just kidding. That reminded me of the
- 43:12Speaker 10: hillbilly mom clown. subplot and all the real girls I
- 43:16Speaker 10: don't know if anybody saw that but it's an early
- 43:19Speaker 10: David Gordon Green movie when he still made like little
- 43:21Speaker 10: independent dramas and not like crazy pot smoking medieval films
- 43:26Speaker 10: or whatever with James Franco but it's Patricia Clarkson and
- 43:30Speaker 10: she plays the mom who has a job to support
- 43:33Speaker 10: she's a single mom so she has to support the
- 43:35Speaker 10: son and so she has a job as a clown
- 43:37Speaker 10: and the love story between the male character and Zooey
- 43:40Speaker 10: Deschanel is really beautiful and it's just sort of this
- 43:42Speaker 10: tender sweet movie about falling in love But then the mom, like,
- 43:45Speaker 10: clown subplot is completely insane. And, like, there's a scene
- 43:49Speaker 10: where she's, like, in her clown makeup, and she's talking
- 43:51Speaker 10: about everything she's sacrificed. And she's, like, her clown makeup's bleeding,
- 43:56Speaker 10: and she screams, I used to be beautiful. And it's, like, you're, like,
- 43:58Speaker 10: an Oscar-nominated actress.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Anyway, look it up. All the real girls.
- 44:04Speaker 11: Wow.
- 44:04Speaker 8: So, clowns.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Yeah, mom clowns.
- 44:07Speaker 4: Well, that got cheerful real fast, didn't it?
- 44:09Speaker 8: Anything other than clowns from today.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Hmm. I like that they had wide aisles.
- 44:16Speaker 8: That's, again, like I was standing there talking to Jay
- 44:19Speaker 8: in the middle of that. I was just like, that's
- 44:21Speaker 8: why this is such a big difference than a lot
- 44:24Speaker 8: of other shows. It's just, it's got a huge space
- 44:26Speaker 8: to work with. And even though they've like doubled the
- 44:29Speaker 8: amount of vendors this year, like they opened up that
- 44:32Speaker 8: back wall and it's like twice as big and like,
- 44:34Speaker 8: but their aisles are just like huge compared to all
- 44:37Speaker 8: the other ones that are crammed into those little like
- 44:40Speaker 8: convention areas in the middle of a hotel. So to me,
- 44:43Speaker 8: it's like, It doesn't seem so cramped and crowded and
- 44:46Speaker 8: overrun with people.
- 44:48Speaker 4: And I'm good with that.
- 44:49Speaker 12: Yeah, that's what I was going to say. I don't
- 44:51Speaker 12: like people a whole lot, you know? I mean, most
- 44:54Speaker 12: people are okay, you know?
- 44:55Speaker 8: Our listeners are awesome, but the rest of the world.
- 44:58Speaker 12: No, no, I mean, you know, people in general, like
- 45:00Speaker 12: people that I know are fine, and I don't have
- 45:02Speaker 12: a problem with that. But my big thing is like
- 45:05Speaker 12: going to certain conventions where people... Don't.
- 45:12Speaker 4: Respect personal space?
- 45:13Speaker 12: That and they don't respect personal hygiene and they like
- 45:19Speaker 12: run into you and they're really sweaty.
- 45:21Speaker 4: And their smell rubs off.
- 45:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:23Speaker 12: Stuff like that. So it's just, you know, I mean,
- 45:27Speaker 12: if we're outside and it's hot and you're there all day,
- 45:30Speaker 12: I can understand that. That's no big deal. But if
- 45:32Speaker 12: you're in a nice enclosed air conditioned space and you're
- 45:35Speaker 12: going to meet other people who you are excited about
- 45:38Speaker 12: meeting and you know, you would think that you would
- 45:41Speaker 12: probably take a bath or, Invest in some deodorant. Invest
- 45:45Speaker 12: in some deodorant.
- 45:46Speaker 8: Or something like that. Some of these characters, no offense. Again,
- 45:49Speaker 8: I think that's the thing. I think people listening who
- 45:53Speaker 8: know better know that they're not those people. That's the
- 45:57Speaker 8: point I'm about to make is that I think those
- 45:59Speaker 8: kind of people who are doing that and are being
- 46:02Speaker 8: that weird level of offensive are so unaware of it.
- 46:06Speaker 8: They just literally don't know what's going on.
- 46:09Speaker 3: We used to have to.
- 46:10Speaker 12: Send a memo out at the gym when I worked
- 46:12Speaker 12: at the gym. we had several people that were just
- 46:15Speaker 12: like kind of funky. And, uh, when you're, uh, running
- 46:21Speaker 12: a fairly nice gym and you know, there, there are
- 46:24Speaker 12: people like when it's mixed, you know, you got women
- 46:27Speaker 12: and men, a lot of the girls are very clean.
- 46:31Speaker 12: And the last thing they want is a, Bunch of
- 46:34Speaker 12: smelly guys. A dirty, smelly, foot-fungus-y guy kicking at them.
- 46:39Speaker 12: So they kind of want you to be nice. It's
- 46:42Speaker 12: kind of the whole image for the gym is everybody
- 46:44Speaker 12: wants to stay a little bit clean.
- 46:45Speaker 3: It's a gym.
- 46:46Speaker 12: Granted, everybody sweats, but still.
- 46:48Speaker 4: I don't sweat. I glisten. Yeah, whatever.
- 46:52Speaker 12: You don't even sweat.
- 46:54Speaker 4: Bitch, I sweat. You don't even know.
- 46:56Speaker 5: Please.
- 46:57Speaker 4: All right.
- 46:58Speaker 8: Were there any other activities for you today?
- 47:02Speaker 4: Hmm. We also talked to Malcolm McDowell. I didn't talk
- 47:07Speaker 4: to Malcolm McDowell. Boyfriend talked to Malcolm McDowell about motorcycles
- 47:10Speaker 4: and that was pretty exciting for him. Tell him about
- 47:12Speaker 4: how exciting it was.
- 47:13Speaker 12: It was super exciting.
- 47:16Speaker 8: He was pretty excited. Don't let him fool you.
- 47:17Speaker 3: I was excited.
- 47:18Speaker 14: I was.
- 47:19Speaker 12: But, you know, I didn't get to talk to him
- 47:23Speaker 12: long enough about it and that's fine.
- 47:26Speaker 8: He had a decent line it that luckily it was
- 47:28Speaker 8: never overwhelming which is why it was.
- 47:30Speaker 4: A short line but it always seemed to replenish.
- 47:32Speaker 8: But it stayed yeah it always stayed at that level
- 47:35Speaker 8: which is good like i'd kind of rather have that
- 47:37Speaker 8: that's why i went ahead and did that like i
- 47:39Speaker 8: just can't i don't have patience for those super long
- 47:41Speaker 8: lines anymore so his was never like that but he
- 47:44Speaker 8: always had enough people there that you know you couldn't
- 47:47Speaker 8: stand around and talk for hours on end so Which
- 47:49Speaker 8: is good because I think it made people kind of
- 47:51Speaker 8: like realize that and move along and get out of
- 47:53Speaker 8: the way. So everybody seemed to follow along and he
- 47:56Speaker 8: was just sort of like working through the crowd.
- 47:59Speaker 12: What I had asked him about was the movie If.
- 48:04Speaker 12: There's a scene in the movie where he goes into
- 48:07Speaker 12: a BSA dealership and he basically jumps on a B6, sorry,
- 48:14Speaker 12: he jumps on a BSA and just takes off. He
- 48:16Speaker 12: starts riding around and he just basically steals the motorcycle.
- 48:20Speaker 12: and uh i guess most of the people that know
- 48:23Speaker 12: me um bsas are like one of my favorite bikes
- 48:27Speaker 12: yeah i really love british bikes especially bsas um but
- 48:32Speaker 12: i talked to him about it a little bit and
- 48:33Speaker 12: he was saying that after the filming of the movie
- 48:36Speaker 12: they offered to give him that motorcycle and he turned
- 48:40Speaker 12: it down he goes i don't know why i turned
- 48:42Speaker 12: it down i just said no that's okay and then
- 48:46Speaker 12: He said it was kind of one of those things
- 48:47Speaker 12: that he was like, oh, crap, I should have took
- 48:49Speaker 12: the bike. Because he said later on, I realized they
- 48:51Speaker 12: had sold it at auction for 5,000 pounds, which he said,
- 48:55Speaker 12: now's not a lot. But at the time, I guess
- 48:58Speaker 12: it was whenever the film was filmed, it was like
- 49:01Speaker 12: the 60s.
- 49:01Speaker 8: I was like, yeah, late 60s.
- 49:03Speaker 12: It had to have been late 60s, because that was
- 49:05Speaker 12: an early.
- 49:06Speaker 8: Before Clockwork Orange, yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 12: That was a mid-60s bike. He's like, I should have
- 49:12Speaker 12: just kept the.
- 49:13Speaker 7: Bike, but.
- 49:15Speaker 12: Oh, well, things happen. So, you know, but. it was
- 49:20Speaker 12: nice to meet him. It was nice to see somebody
- 49:25Speaker 12: that's of that level, you know, instead of just the
- 49:29Speaker 12: lower level. Not down in anybody else that we've met. But,
- 49:33Speaker 12: you know, you don't– it's very rare that you get
- 49:35Speaker 12: to go out and actually talk to somebody. Like, I mean,
- 49:38Speaker 12: you'll never talk to a– Brad Pitt.
- 49:41Speaker 8: You'll never, you don't know.
- 49:43Speaker 12: You never get a chance to talk to, but that's okay.
- 49:46Speaker 12: You know, I don't really think I have anything to
- 49:47Speaker 12: talk to Brad Pitt about.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Except for maybe you would talk to Ewan McGregor.
- 49:52Speaker 12: I would talk to you and McGregor. Actually, I really
- 49:54Speaker 12: want to talk to you and McGregor because you and
- 49:56Speaker 12: McGregor loves motorcycles.
- 49:57Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Make that shit happen.
- 49:58Speaker 12: And, and I can talk to him for a long
- 50:01Speaker 12: time about bikes, but no, I would probably make fun
- 50:03Speaker 12: of Brad Pitt for, for losing his bike in the
- 50:06Speaker 12: middle of the street and let it fall over. And then, like,
- 50:10Speaker 12: a bitch walking off and calling somebody and having them
- 50:13Speaker 12: pick his bike up. So, I mean, I guess you
- 50:16Speaker 12: can do that when you're that rich. But, I mean, really,
- 50:18Speaker 12: come on, dude. That was, like, the lamest thing ever.
- 50:21Speaker 8: Do you have proof of this story?
- 50:23Speaker 12: Actually, yeah. No, it's on YouTube.
- 50:26Speaker 8: Nice.
- 50:27Speaker 4: YouTube never lies.
- 50:27Speaker 8: Thank you, YouTube.
- 50:28Speaker 12: Well, somebody was videoing it, and he was, like, he
- 50:31Speaker 12: came to a stop and, like, I guess he couldn't
- 50:35Speaker 12: hold the bike up because it was so big, and
- 50:37Speaker 12: it fell over, and he got mad and just walked
- 50:40Speaker 12: away and then called somebody, and they came in a
- 50:42Speaker 12: pickup truck and picked it up and put it in
- 50:43Speaker 12: the back of the truck, and he went home.
- 50:49Speaker 8: Brad, I don't know.
- 50:52Speaker 12: He's like, I'm Brad Pitt. That bike shouldn't have fell over.
- 50:54Speaker 8: That's kind of true. Bike, don't you know who I am?
- 50:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 4: He had little train wheels. That would be so cute. Oh,
- 51:01Speaker 4: my God.
- 51:02Speaker 8: Of all the big, you know, A-listers though, Brett's kind
- 51:04Speaker 8: of proven himself as an actual actor. So I won't
- 51:07Speaker 8: give him shit for most other things. I don't know
- 51:09Speaker 8: about the bike incident, but like he is a good
- 51:11Speaker 8: actor and he usually doesn't half-ass his projects, even if
- 51:15Speaker 8: they're hit or miss. It's like he puts himself into them.
- 51:19Speaker 12: Yeah, he's fine. He's fine. But I'm just saying like
- 51:21Speaker 12: as far as caliber of actors that you actually get to,
- 51:24Speaker 12: or that I ever actually get to talk to or
- 51:27Speaker 12: anything like that. He's pretty high up there.
- 51:32Speaker 7: You know, I guess.
- 51:34Speaker 8: Definitely, and we'll get back to that in a minute.
- 51:36Speaker 8: In the meantime, after you talk to him, we move
- 51:39Speaker 8: to our next guest, and our reoccurring guest on the show,
- 51:44Speaker 8: one of the regulars, if you will.
- 51:46Speaker 12: Judge Dredd?
- 51:47Speaker 8: Whether she likes it or not. No, do you need
- 51:48Speaker 8: to tell your Judge Dredd story, though?
- 51:50Speaker 9: No.
- 51:51Speaker 12: It was just Judge Dredd. He was there and he
- 51:53Speaker 12: was all in this dreadness.
- 51:55Speaker 8: And you got your picture with Judge Dredd.
- 51:57Speaker 12: I got my picture with Judge Dredd.
- 51:58Speaker 8: It was not exactly like Santa Claus. You didn't sit
- 52:00Speaker 8: on his lap.
- 52:01Speaker 12: No, no.
- 52:02Speaker 6: And....
- 52:04Speaker 12: And that was about it. That wasn't a story at all.
- 52:08Speaker 12: It was just a bunch of filler.
- 52:10Speaker 8: Well, mine was, and it had the, the audio attachment
- 52:13Speaker 8: to go with it. So, um, I actually got to
- 52:16Speaker 8: sit down again and talk to Daniel Harris. So she's,
- 52:20Speaker 8: she tired of your shit. You would think I kinda,
- 52:22Speaker 8: I kinda like hinted at that this time. By the
- 52:25Speaker 8: time we wrapped up, I was like, you know, if
- 52:26Speaker 8: you want me to get lost and leave you alone,
- 52:28Speaker 8: but like she, again, she's too nice. And she liked, she, she,
- 52:32Speaker 8: wants to keep talking to me i don't.
- 52:35Speaker 4: Understand obviously a glutton for punishment.
- 52:37Speaker 8: Yeah because i mean i mean if she she could
- 52:40Speaker 8: take me so if she wanted me gone she could
- 52:41Speaker 8: just you know she could take care of that so
- 52:43Speaker 8: for some reason she keeps letting me loiter around.
- 52:46Speaker 12: Brian's secretly thinking of ways to like get her to actually.
- 52:49Speaker 8: Attack him so maybe a little bit anyway she.
- 52:52Speaker 12: Is so adorable oh my god she is she would
- 52:55Speaker 12: adorably attack him like a kitten.
- 52:57Speaker 4: When it hisses at you.
- 53:01Speaker 8: I believe she has been trained in her defenses.
- 53:05Speaker 12: Only Brian will end up with a bloody nose, and
- 53:08Speaker 12: kittens don't usually give you a bloody nose.
- 53:11Speaker 8: It may be worse than that. I think she's actually trained.
- 53:15Speaker 8: I try to be very respectful when I'm hanging out
- 53:17Speaker 8: with Danielle. So, yeah, we have done some cool stuff
- 53:22Speaker 8: with her in the past. We might do it in
- 53:23Speaker 8: the future if she continues to be a glutton for punishment.
- 53:26Speaker 8: But she was very nice today, and... We just kind
- 53:29Speaker 8: of talked about some general stuff since last time and
- 53:32Speaker 8: what she's up to now. So let's go see what
- 53:35Speaker 8: Danielle's up to.
- 53:36Speaker 4: All I'm asking.
- 54:21Speaker 8: All right, so we're back here with Danielle. I guess
- 54:24Speaker 8: it's been a while, but you've become sort of a
- 54:27Speaker 8: favorite on our show.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you.
- 54:31Speaker 8: And one of the first times we started bringing people
- 54:33Speaker 8: in to kind of sit down and do a lot
- 54:34Speaker 8: of other stuff. Although, I have to say, Doug Jones
- 54:37Speaker 8: is moving in on your territory.
- 54:39Speaker 1: With what? What movies?
- 54:41Speaker 8: He's picked, oddly, once again, no, no, stuff like he's
- 54:46Speaker 8: in all these crazy horror movies. He's always monsters. And
- 54:49Speaker 8: he picks the first time out, Somewhere in Time.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Oh, interesting.
- 54:52Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 54:53Speaker 8: Didn't see that coming from Doug.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Just because random doesn't mean we like to talk about him.
- 54:57Speaker 8: I know. I was like, that's kind of awesome. And he, like,
- 54:59Speaker 8: loves that movie. Like, it was great.
- 55:02Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 55:02Speaker 8: Yeah, so he's... I think last time was Silver Linings Playbook. Like,
- 55:07Speaker 8: he's got some different choices. That was a good one. Yeah,
- 55:09Speaker 8: it was fun. But, yeah, so they're moving in on
- 55:12Speaker 8: your territory. So we're going to have to pick something.
- 55:15Speaker 8: But today, we have had, like, a whole kind of
- 55:19Speaker 8: family thing going lately. Earlier this year, we had Adam
- 55:22Speaker 8: Green on. And then a couple weeks back, we had
- 55:25Speaker 8: Zach Galligan on, so we've got kind of a whole...
- 55:28Speaker 8: We've got an army. Yeah, it's the whole connection going here.
- 55:30Speaker 8: So I guess first off with Adam, you were on Holliston.
- 55:34Speaker 8: Is that not the most fun experience ever?
- 55:38Speaker 1: You know, I was like, oh, my God. You know,
- 55:40Speaker 1: fans are going to be like, really? I mean, you
- 55:43Speaker 1: have me stealing and doing drugs and being completely insane.
- 55:46Speaker 1: I'd never made fun of myself that way before, so
- 55:49Speaker 1: that was really cool. It was nice to do some comedy.
- 55:51Speaker 1: It had been a minute.
- 55:53Speaker 8: Yeah, I don't know. Adam's just too nice for his
- 55:55Speaker 8: own good. Like, I don't know how he can survive.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Well, he's not always nice. He's got a tough side
- 56:01Speaker 1: to him. I rarely see it, though.
- 56:03Speaker 8: He's, yeah, he's amazing how much he's dedicated to the fans, though. Oh, yeah.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I mean, that's why he does what he does.
- 56:09Speaker 8: And then I guess to roll into the Zach area,
- 56:14Speaker 8: what was it like going back for Hatchet 3 that
- 56:17Speaker 8: the second time for.
- 56:18Speaker 5: You, I guess.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I'm a big Gremlins geek, so for me,
- 56:22Speaker 1: it was like, that was my Uber fan geek out
- 56:25Speaker 1: moment where I was like sitting, standing across from Zach
- 56:28Speaker 1: in the police station and I couldn't believe we were
- 56:31Speaker 1: getting to do scenes together. I was super stoked. It
- 56:35Speaker 1: was cool, you know, it was a really hard shoot
- 56:37Speaker 1: and really quick and it just, it kind of flew by, honestly.
- 56:44Speaker 1: It was much more intense than than the second one,
- 56:48Speaker 1: that's for sure.
- 56:49Speaker 8: Didn't have as much problem. That second one had so
- 56:52Speaker 8: many issues.
- 56:54Speaker 1: The second one did?
- 56:55Speaker 13: What do you mean?
- 56:55Speaker 8: Well, as far as the ratings and getting it released.
- 56:59Speaker 1: Yeah, all that stuff that I wasn't involved in. All
- 57:02Speaker 1: that stuff poor Adam had to go through.
- 57:04Speaker 8: Those are the times he's not very nice.
- 57:06Speaker 1: No, yeah, he fights. He fights for what he believes in,
- 57:08Speaker 1: you know.
- 57:09Speaker 8: It's worth it.
- 57:10Speaker 5: I guess.
- 57:12Speaker 8: Has it been getting response? Have people been recognizing from that?
- 57:15Speaker 1: Yeah, people have been loving it. You know, a lot
- 57:17Speaker 1: of people are saying it's their favorite. And they're also
- 57:21Speaker 1: disappointed that there's not going to be another one. So,
- 57:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know, never say never, but the way
- 57:25Speaker 1: that I see it is that it's the finale. And
- 57:28Speaker 1: it wrapped up the story really nicely. And I think
- 57:30Speaker 1: Adam always had sort of a beginning, a middle, and
- 57:32Speaker 1: an end to the Crowley story and the legend. And
- 57:37Speaker 1: if the legend is true, then it would be the end.
- 57:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 57:40Speaker 8: He seemed like he was kind of done with it.
- 57:43Speaker 8: He liked doing the third one, but he seemed like
- 57:45Speaker 8: he was time to put it to bed.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, you know, for there to be another one,
- 57:49Speaker 1: it's going to be like every other franchise that just
- 57:52Speaker 1: keeps turning him out for the sake of making money,
- 57:54Speaker 1: and I don't think that that's what Adam Green's about.
- 57:57Speaker 8: No, I mean, even doing the second one was kind of,
- 58:00Speaker 8: you know he had a story to tell.
- 58:01Speaker 1: Exactly, exactly.
- 58:03Speaker 8: Sort of since we've been hanging around in these circles,
- 58:06Speaker 8: you've moved into the directing area. How has that been
- 58:10Speaker 8: for you?
- 58:10Speaker 1: It's been a lot, actually. It's been great and I've
- 58:14Speaker 1: learned a lot. It's, you know, it's something that I'd
- 58:16Speaker 1: wanted to do for a long time and it's just
- 58:18Speaker 1: kind of a natural progression, I think. There's really only
- 58:21Speaker 1: so much and so far you can go in this
- 58:24Speaker 1: genre sort of doing what I was doing. And it
- 58:27Speaker 1: was just time for me to kind of make movies
- 58:28Speaker 1: that I wasn't reading and wasn't having an opportunity to
- 58:32Speaker 1: be in and wasn't seeing in the theater. So I
- 58:34Speaker 1: wanted to do something that was just fun and hire
- 58:36Speaker 1: my friends and, you know, get to torture Cain and
- 58:39Speaker 1: All of that fun stuff. So there was a lot
- 58:44Speaker 1: that I needed to learn, and what I learned in
- 58:48Speaker 1: a year and a half of putting that movie together,
- 58:50Speaker 1: I couldn't have learned in four years of school. And
- 58:52Speaker 1: I already, you know, obviously I've been doing films for
- 58:54Speaker 1: 30 years, so there's a lot that I already knew,
- 58:57Speaker 1: but as far as directing, there was a lot that
- 58:59Speaker 1: I still needed to educate myself on and was really
- 59:02Speaker 1: grateful for the opportunity.
- 59:04Speaker 8: That's what I was wondering, because, yeah, you've been acting
- 59:06Speaker 8: since you were a child, so... moving behind the camera,
- 59:09Speaker 8: have you learned something about directing that you've didn't know
- 59:13Speaker 8: like you thought maybe you knew from the other end
- 59:16Speaker 8: but it haven't.
- 59:16Speaker 1: Changed not directing as much um because actors and directors
- 59:20Speaker 1: work so closely together i learned more about the politics
- 59:24Speaker 1: um behind film distribution and producers and festivals and sales
- 59:29Speaker 1: reps and attorneys and you know i learned about a
- 59:32Speaker 1: lot about posts i mean even something as simple which
- 59:34Speaker 1: sounds kind of stupid but something as simple as i
- 59:37Speaker 1: did not realize that every single thing in a movie
- 59:41Speaker 1: is folied everything there's not a pen that i put
- 59:45Speaker 1: down or a footstep that i've taken as an actor
- 59:47Speaker 1: in a movie that someone else hasn't folied like everything
- 59:50Speaker 1: i mean i really didn't know that i thought that
- 59:53Speaker 1: they just did picked up stuff that needed that they
- 59:54Speaker 1: didn't get when they were like what's the point of
- 59:56Speaker 1: having of having it in there you know but but
- 59:59Speaker 1: it really does make a difference it makes the movie
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: better so i didn't realize that which is pretty.
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: Pretty cool it is noticeable because yeah i have seen
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: a few that are super low budget and they've just
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: tried to use live mics and it's so.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Noticeable Yeah, so now, unfortunately, it's taken a little bit
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: of the fantasy. I mean, it's hard enough knowing how
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: to make a movie and seeing movies, but now I
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: know all of how to do it, so it's hard
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: to watch as a viewer and not pick out everything.
- 1:00:27Speaker 8: You start wanting to direct other people's movies?
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Oh, I always have. That's why I started directing my own. Nice.
- 1:00:37Speaker 8: There was another just a weird question I wanted to
- 1:00:39Speaker 8: throw out there. We are friends at Atomic Cotton, who
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: actually did our Yeti shirts, did the shirt of you.
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: It's not even connected to a specific movie. It's just Danielle.
- 1:00:50Speaker 8: What was your thoughts on just, I mean, you've been
- 1:00:52Speaker 8: on the screen forever in posters, but just seeing people
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: walk by on a T-shirt, it's a different pop culture impact.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, it's, well, first of all, it's mostly
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: men that wear it, which is cool. And the fact
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: that it's hot pink and it's me, like, posed like
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: in some Madonna 80s sort of position. And it says Danielle.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I think it's pretty rad, actually. I'm honored and it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: cool because I think, you know, it's nice to have
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: been broken out of the Jamie mold. So it's cool
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: that people are supporting me and not necessarily a character
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: that I played. So I think it's awesome.
- 1:01:25Speaker 8: And soon you can just be Danielle.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if that'll ever really happen, but
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I'm probably Jamie first or the girl from Halloween and
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: then Danielle.
- 1:01:34Speaker 8: No, it'll be Cher. It'll be just like Cher.
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: But Cher is at least Cher. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:01:39Speaker 8: You'll be Danielle. You'll just go by Danielle.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: And now it's time for a psychic interlude.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: Hi, welcome back to World of the Psychic. I'm Peter Venkman.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: I'm chatting with my guest, author, lecturer, and psychic, Milton Angland. Milton,
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: your new book is called The End of the World. Now,
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: Can you tell us when it's going to be or
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: do we have to buy the book?
- 1:02:06Speaker 9: Well, I predict that the world will end at the
- 1:02:08Speaker 9: stroke of midnight on.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: New Year's Eve. This year?
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Well, that's cutting it a little bit close, isn't it?
- 1:02:16Speaker 6: I mean, just from a sales point of view, I mean,
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: your book is just coming out. You're not going to
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: see any paperback sales for at least a year. It'll
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: be at least another year before you know whether you've
- 1:02:26Speaker 6: got the miniseries or movie of the week kind of possibilities.
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: I mean, just devil's advocate, Miltie. I mean, shouldn't you
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: have said, hey.
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: The world's going to end in 1992 or, better yet, 1994?
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: This is not just some money-making scheme, all right? I
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: have a strong psychic belief that the world will end
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: on New Year's Eve.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: Well, for your sake, I hope you're right. That's all
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: the time we've got for this week on World of
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: the Psychic. Next week, though, give me Ira. Hairless pets.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: Weird.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: Until then, this is Peter Vickman saying.
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: See you then. All right, we are back here with Danielle.
- 1:03:19Speaker 8: Do you want to discuss your psychic reading?
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: You know, I like that stuff. I don't want to
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: discuss it because I went to the pet psychic reading.
- 1:03:29Speaker 8: I was more drawn to that one myself, actually.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I just thought it was kind of cool. I mean,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: she was pretty spot on anyway with kind of how
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: he is. So that was good.
- 1:03:39Speaker 8: Did you say dog?
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: Yes, dog.
- 1:03:41Speaker 8: What type of dog?
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: A pit bull.
- 1:03:44Speaker 8: I have black and white dogs. I've decided it's their breed.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: I see it.
- 1:03:49Speaker 8: When you're a mutt, you go with the best you got.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: That's true.
- 1:03:52Speaker 8: Well, this show in particular is a lot more paranormal
- 1:03:55Speaker 8: than most of them. What are your thoughts on the paranormal,
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: I guess, here and in general, I suppose?
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: I mean, I believe it. What I like about this
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: show is that there's a nice mix of stuff. You know,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: like I'm into tarot card reading and, you know, healing
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: crystals and home staging and that kind of stuff. So it's,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: I mean, you know, the show's put on by Patty,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: so it's a woman that's running it. So I think
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: that she brings, there's a lot of jewelry, you know
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: what I mean? So I think it's kind of, geared
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: towards that. There's a lot more women that come to
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the show than I see at most conventions.
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: It definitely has a different vibe here.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: It does, yeah. It does. It's a little bit, yeah,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: less horror, more paranormal.
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: Which is an interesting mix. Not everybody can mix the two. Yeah,
- 1:04:33Speaker 8: she does it well. I was going to say, many
- 1:04:36Speaker 8: a time I will wake up and they're constantly playing
- 1:04:38Speaker 8: this in the Roseanne reruns. Do you get that? I mean,
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: to me, that almost seems like that may have hit
- 1:04:47Speaker 8: more of the public than just about anything. Do you
- 1:04:50Speaker 8: still get a lot of that?
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: I do, but I get a lot of, wait, weren't
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: you on? You know what I mean? Instead of people
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: knowing exactly. So, uh, I think that other than, you know, when,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: when I was done with Halloween, some people kind of
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: followed and others sort of didn't remember that I'd worked
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: for 20 years until I came back on the new
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Halloween series. Um, And then they went, oh, wait a minute.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I was watching your movies all along and didn't realize
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: that it was you. So I do get Roseanne references
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: once in a while.
- 1:05:20Speaker 8: You were one of those kids that was just kind
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: of working. You were in everything that had a kid
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: for a good number of years there.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I was trying anyway.
- 1:05:29Speaker 8: You and Elijah Wood.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: I guess just what is it that you have in
- 1:05:35Speaker 8: the works? What do you want to tell people that
- 1:05:36Speaker 8: you've been working on or have coming out in the
- 1:05:38Speaker 8: near future?
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: See, this year there's a couple things coming out. Shivers
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: being released in October, which is, I think, one of
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: my best performances with John Jarrett, who I just adore,
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: and Casper Van Dien and Ray Dawn Chong. That's October 7th,
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: I believe. And then Ghost of Goodnight Lane with Billy
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: Zane and Lacey Chabert is coming out. I'm not sure when, though.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: And a movie called Hollow's Eve that I did that's
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: coming out. And what else?
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: What else?
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: I'd have to look online and see. But that's pretty
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: much it. And we're still working on getting Horror Gal
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: up and running at some point. But having major issues
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: switching over, it's just a whole thing in a thing.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: But we're still working on that stuff and We had
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: to sort of move companies and now trying to find
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: artists to finish it up. It's a whole world I
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: don't understand, but we're working on it.
- 1:06:32Speaker 8: What all was that going to entail? Because I remember
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: the first time I was like, we can throw a
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: banner up there. And then I kept checking at it
- 1:06:39Speaker 8: and I didn't know what happened.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's kind of a virtual convention. It's sort
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: of a one-stop shop for fans for all things horror.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Sort of like VIP access to everything. What I find
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: frustrating is with the economy being so bad, People still
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: want to be able to get their stuff signed and
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: to meet people, but they can't fly all over the
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: damn country for it. It's really expensive to come get
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: one person's autograph for $ 20 and have to spend $ 2, 000
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: getting there. It's a lot. So I'm sort of the
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: motherlode of the place where you can send it to
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: me and then say you wanted a Hatchet 3 poster signed.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: I know all these people. So you send me your
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: personal items and go ahead and get everything signed for you.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: You can do Skype sessions. You can, you know, there's certain,
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: everybody will have, every celebrity basically has their own page.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: So it's, instead of trying to search for everybody, and
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: a lot of genre stars don't have social media stuff.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: So it's a way for us and me to, it's
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: a way for us to kind of, I guess, sort
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: of pimp them out and all in one place. It's
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: not your typical horror site where I'm just reporting on whatever,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: you know, so-and-so has signed on to do this movie.
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: There's plenty of that out there. So mine's a, kind
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: of a, more a fan access to their favorite you
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: know scream queen and killer that's.
- 1:07:57Speaker 8: Really different and kind of cool to be able to
- 1:07:59Speaker 8: give people that chance especially you know.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Blogs you know everybody will have their own thing people
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: have like things they promote or they want to talk
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: about or you know whatever their twitter feeds their instagram
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: they're all their real stuff so you're not like searching
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: around trying to find trying to find it it's what
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: that what it's what the celebrity is posting themselves on
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: that page and then we monitor all.
- 1:08:20Speaker 8: Of it very cool very cool Anything else to pass along?
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: That's pretty much it. I guess follow me on Twitter, HalloweenGal.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: And I believe I'm HorrorGal on Instagram. And I have
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: a Facebook page, finally. It's the official Daniel Harris Facebook
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: page that I do go on all the time.
- 1:08:36Speaker 8: I remember it wasn't official for a long time.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Now it's official. So that is mine, and I'm up
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: there all the time.
- 1:08:41Speaker 12: All right.
- 1:08:42Speaker 8: Well, tell everybody to send them your way and look
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: for all the new projects. Thank you.
- 1:08:46Speaker 17: Sure.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:08:59Speaker 8: I'm asking you, darling.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Malcolm McDowell.
- 1:09:33Speaker 13: You're listening to Movie Meltdown.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: So just keep listening. And I'm singing.
- 1:10:04Speaker 7: Just singing.
- 1:10:24Speaker 12: In the rain, doop-a-doop, doop-a-doop.
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: What's part of your problem?
- 1:10:29Speaker 9: You know, you haven't seen enough movies.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: All of life's riddles are answered.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: In the movies.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: And now, on with the show. She's so tiny.
- 1:10:41Speaker 8: She is quite petite.
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: I wish I was that tiny.
- 1:10:44Speaker 8: You would put yourself in your own pocket.
- 1:10:46Speaker 7: I would.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: I totally would.
- 1:10:48Speaker 8: Because that's usually what your threat is for Danielle. You
- 1:10:51Speaker 8: just want to put her.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: No, because I've replaced her with Bobby. I want Bobby
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: in my pocket now because he's so skinny I could
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: probably fold him up like a knife.
- 1:10:58Speaker 8: He's a Swiss Army Bobby?
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: He's so adorable.
- 1:11:03Speaker 8: Oh, Daniel is also adorable and quite impressive. Again, somebody
- 1:11:09Speaker 8: who's knocked out a lot of movies over the years.
- 1:11:12Speaker 8: All different types of genres, you know, crossed over into TV,
- 1:11:15Speaker 8: has moved into directing now. She's just She's an amazing woman,
- 1:11:19Speaker 8: and I'm glad that she has decided to put up
- 1:11:22Speaker 8: with us. So thank you to Danielle, and we'll see
- 1:11:24Speaker 8: what we can put together in the future, and hopefully
- 1:11:28Speaker 8: we'll have her back on, and she can defend her
- 1:11:31Speaker 8: title against that darn Doug Jones who is moving in
- 1:11:33Speaker 8: on her territory.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: Oh, Doug Jones. I got a Doug Jones trading card today.
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: There's like in the Americana series trading. It's in the car.
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: and there was a doug jones card in there and
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: i got a feldman card and who else did i
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: get that one diane franklin or whatever it's.
- 1:11:54Speaker 8: Diane franklin who has also been on the show and
- 1:11:57Speaker 8: yeah but like the doug jones card in there this is.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: Like the most random celebrities jones again he was in
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: uh best friend of the show He kind of is.
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: He was one of the gentlemen on Buffy, and he
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: was like Abe Sapien.
- 1:12:11Speaker 12: Oh, okay, okay, okay, yeah, all right.
- 1:12:14Speaker 8: He's very tall, that Doug Jones.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: No, okay, I remember now. Sorry.
- 1:12:17Speaker 12: I've been punching the head a lot, so this happens.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: That's just this week.
- 1:12:21Speaker 8: Yeah, you shouldn't have been talking to Danielle like that.
- 1:12:23Speaker 12: Well, no, this is people that even I meet on
- 1:12:27Speaker 12: a regular basis because I've got, like, new friends that
- 1:12:30Speaker 12: I've met, and I've been, like, running into them for
- 1:12:34Speaker 12: the past month, like, every other day, and it's still the, okay, wait,
- 1:12:38Speaker 12: what your name is? All right. And my brain's still
- 1:12:41Speaker 12: trying to do the whole, okay, this is their face,
- 1:12:43Speaker 12: this is their name, put them together.
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: There they are, you know?
- 1:12:46Speaker 12: So that's what happens. Too much brain damage.
- 1:12:50Speaker 8: Okay, aside from the brain damage. Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:12:54Speaker 8: Do you want to go into any of your finds first?
- 1:12:57Speaker 8: of stuff other than your training?
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: I was going to talk about how bad I felt
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: for Hoyt because nobody was ever at his table. He
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: sat there looking mad. Poor Hoyt.
- 1:13:05Speaker 12: Yeah, you know, I don't know. It's, it's, it was odd,
- 1:13:09Speaker 12: you know, I figured there would be a pretty big
- 1:13:12Speaker 12: turnout for True Blood, but maybe if it was in Louisville, maybe,
- 1:13:15Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Maybe if it was in Hollywood, or maybe it was
- 1:13:17Speaker 4: somewhere where people cared.
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:13:19Speaker 8: That's what I'm trying to decide. Did, did it, did
- 1:13:22Speaker 8: True Blood get past its window already, maybe? Like, if
- 1:13:25Speaker 8: they would have done this two years ago, would it
- 1:13:27Speaker 8: have been packed?
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: Because I can't even watch the show anymore.
- 1:13:30Speaker 8: Yeah, it seems like it's not the thing everybody's talking
- 1:13:33Speaker 8: about the way it was a couple years ago.
- 1:13:34Speaker 12: Yeah, nobody's talking about it now.
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: It's jumped its vampire shark.
- 1:13:37Speaker 12: Everybody's talking about Walking Dead. And I think the True
- 1:13:41Speaker 12: Blood fans are not the kind of people that go
- 1:13:45Speaker 12: to horror conventions.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: Or paranormal conventions.
- 1:13:48Speaker 12: Or paranormal conventions. They're the kind of people that, read
- 1:13:53Speaker 12: books that have Fabio on the front of them with
- 1:13:56Speaker 12: no shirt.
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: I read the True Blood books. What are you trying
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: to say?
- 1:14:00Speaker 8: You love Fabio. Vampire Fabio.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: Fabio books.
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Hardly any of my books have Fabio on them.
- 1:14:09Speaker 12: There's probably guys that look like Fabio on the cover.
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: No.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: They're usually chicks with swords.
- 1:14:14Speaker 12: Oh it's a setup okay all.
- 1:14:18Speaker 4: Right whatever i feel bad for him because at least
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: sam had some people in his line and tara had
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: a few people in our line and then hoyt is
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: just sitting there like fuck you guys.
- 1:14:27Speaker 12: One person in his line um It was a staff person,
- 1:14:32Speaker 12: but it kind of counts for something, doesn't it?
- 1:14:35Speaker 8: They just wouldn't leave him alone.
- 1:14:37Speaker 4: Hey, we're at a time when there's a vampire. I
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: felt bad because if I was going to get NEM's autograph,
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: it would have been Hoyt. Because he is adorable and
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: I love Hoyt. And I'm sure he has a real name.
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: I think it's like Jim Parrick, Parrick, Parrick. I don't
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: know how the fuck to say his name, but he's adorable.
- 1:14:51Speaker 4: And he just looks over there. I was seeing his
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: little hood up on his hoodie looking all mad.
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: I was like, aw.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: If I wasn't so antisocial, I would still give him
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: a hug, but he might punch me in the face
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: or something. I don't know. But yeah, other than that,
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: it was a fantastic day at the wherever we were, Scarefest.
- 1:15:07Speaker 12: I talked to the guy from Destination Truth, but I
- 1:15:09Speaker 12: can't remember what his name is either.
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: We are on the ball today, aren't we?
- 1:15:14Speaker 12: No, this is acceptable for me because I can't remember
- 1:15:17Speaker 12: anybody's name except for yours.
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: That's a struggle sometimes.
- 1:15:22Speaker 8: Her name is Sally, but okay. Nice try.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Okay. I'm pretty sure Malcolm McDowell spelled my name wrong
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: on the photo.
- 1:15:29Speaker 8: You might have two S's. You don't know.
- 1:15:30Speaker 12: Misty.
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: What do you think?
- 1:15:34Speaker 8: It's your name? You don't know how to spell your
- 1:15:35Speaker 8: own name. He's British.
- 1:15:36Speaker 12: Leave him alone.
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: That's spelled in Britain.
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:15:39Speaker 12: I'm going to go with that.
- 1:15:40Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:15:40Speaker 14: That's correct.
- 1:15:42Speaker 12: No, the Destination Truth guy was pretty cool. I talked
- 1:15:43Speaker 12: to him about his time in Thailand. My mom's from Thailand,
- 1:15:48Speaker 12: and I've been to Thailand several times, and it's a
- 1:15:51Speaker 12: great place.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: It's beautiful.
- 1:15:53Speaker 8: See, I didn't pay much attention. I was just overwhelmed
- 1:15:56Speaker 8: by how many paranormal-y people there were.
- 1:15:59Speaker 7: Out of.
- 1:15:59Speaker 12: Every paranormal show, I respect his show more than anybody else's.
- 1:16:04Speaker 12: I could give a crap less about the Zach Baggins guy.
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: I was so glad Douche Baggins left for the weekend
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: before I even got there. I think he knew that
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: I was coming, and he got the fuck out of Dodge.
- 1:16:12Speaker 8: Yeah, because he was there earlier this week.
- 1:16:14Speaker 12: I don't care about a guy who's going to go
- 1:16:16Speaker 12: and threaten ghosts. Like Rod said, the guy's got a
- 1:16:20Speaker 12: bunch of bodyguards. He has no problem threatening ghosts, but
- 1:16:23Speaker 12: he can't deal with people.
- 1:16:24Speaker 11: Ghost won't.
- 1:16:26Speaker 8: Kick your ass. People will.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: I will totally kick his ass.
- 1:16:29Speaker 8: Outside of movies.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: Because last time we saw him, he had a whole
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: entourage of bodyguards.
- 1:16:35Speaker 12: Three or four bodyguards.
- 1:16:36Speaker 4: They were all big dudes, too. And I'm like, God,
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: I fucking hate that guy so bad. And Jay's like, shh,
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: be quiet. I can't take all these guys at once.
- 1:16:45Speaker 4: I could maybe take him, but I can't take all
- 1:16:47Speaker 4: these guys. Because, yeah, there's no way he didn't fucking
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: hear me.
- 1:16:52Speaker 12: And maybe if it was like a martial arts movie
- 1:16:54Speaker 12: where I could take them on one at a time.
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: In turn.
- 1:16:57Speaker 12: The rest of them just kind of danced around waiting
- 1:16:59Speaker 12: for their turn.
- 1:17:00Speaker 8: Is it my turn? Okay, it's my turn.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: I swear one of these days I'm going to punch
- 1:17:05Speaker 4: that guy. It's easy as that. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: I'm going to end up punching that guy. I'm going
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: to end up with more makeup coming back on my
- 1:17:13Speaker 4: fist than I wear like in a month. Because it's
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: just kind of like caked into my fingernails and everything.
- 1:17:18Speaker 8: You're like, oh, bronzer all over me.
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: Oh, I got douche on me.
- 1:17:24Speaker 8: Well, at least, you know, wait until we get the
- 1:17:25Speaker 8: camera rolling. I think that needs to be a clip
- 1:17:28Speaker 8: on YouTube.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: I'm just going to come back like encrusted with like
- 1:17:30Speaker 4: bedazzled stuff and Ed Hardy.
- 1:17:32Speaker 8: Sparkles and Ed Hardy.
- 1:17:34Speaker 12: I mean affliction.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: Whatever, dude.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: Same douchebaggy.
- 1:17:39Speaker 12: He wears more affliction stuff, I think. At least the
- 1:17:41Speaker 12: last time I saw him, he was wearing an affliction shirt, so.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: Come back bedazzled fucking douche you hear me douchebagging if
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: you're out there i'm gonna punch you in your face
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: i ain't gonna lie ain't gonna feel good.
- 1:17:59Speaker 8: Anyway i was uh yeah i was astounded by how
- 1:18:03Speaker 8: many different ghost type peoples there are and i don't
- 1:18:06Speaker 8: i don't know i don't throw it out i just
- 1:18:09Speaker 8: don't pay that much attention like i don't have patience
- 1:18:11Speaker 8: for most reality tv shows anyway so ghost hunting shows
- 1:18:15Speaker 8: just kind of fall into that category and i don't
- 1:18:16Speaker 8: pay attention to them but well it's your thing that's
- 1:18:19Speaker 8: cool no i.
- 1:18:19Speaker 12: Mean i i liked it because um he seems a
- 1:18:23Speaker 12: little bit more on the investigation side of it and
- 1:18:26Speaker 12: and we enjoyed like my mom She loves scary movies,
- 1:18:29Speaker 12: and she's probably the reason why I got into scary movies.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: Your mom with scary movies is like going to the
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: dollar theater in the ghetto.
- 1:18:36Speaker 12: It is, because my mom loves to run commentary during
- 1:18:39Speaker 12: scary movies, and even during TV shows, too. So when
- 1:18:43Speaker 12: we were watching The Destination Truth.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: I didn't mean for that to sound racist.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: But it was.
- 1:18:48Speaker 12: Anyways, like during the... Destination Truth, he's, like, going through there.
- 1:18:52Speaker 12: My mom's like, oh, my God, he shouldn't be in there.
- 1:18:54Speaker 12: You know, and he's talking. She's like, oh, that ghost
- 1:18:55Speaker 12: is going to get him. You know, he's going to
- 1:18:56Speaker 12: get possessed and all this other stuff. Oh, that's horrible.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Yeah, he should. Oh, no.
- 1:19:01Speaker 17: Oh, get out.
- 1:19:01Speaker 10: Get out.
- 1:19:02Speaker 8: What are you doing?
- 1:19:02Speaker 10: Get out.
- 1:19:03Speaker 12: Like, don't go in there.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: Don't go in there, Rockford.
- 1:19:06Speaker 12: Mom, be quiet. You should hear her watch the news.
- 1:19:10Speaker 12: It's something interesting. There's a lot of anger that goes
- 1:19:16Speaker 12: on with watching the news.
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: I personally just can't watch any of the ghost shows
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: because I'm, I guess I'm a hardcore skeptic that I
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: was like, if there was actual proof, there would have
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: been actual proof by now. And I just, Oh my God,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: there was a shadow. Did you see it? There was
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: an orb. It's a fucking dust. Move the fuck on.
- 1:19:33Speaker 8: I just want to work with them and get them
- 1:19:35Speaker 8: to do stuff. And like, like, can you project yourself
- 1:19:38Speaker 8: into the future and get me like some lottery numbers
- 1:19:40Speaker 8: or something? I mean, they got other worldly powers. Can't
- 1:19:43Speaker 8: they do this kind of stuff or? There's got to
- 1:19:45Speaker 8: be something cool we can work on together. We need
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: like a project with the ghosts.
- 1:19:48Speaker 12: I need you to go through the wall into the bank,
- 1:19:51Speaker 12: all right, and open the safe.
- 1:19:53Speaker 4: I need you to shimmy up the pole up there
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: and turn our cable back on.
- 1:19:57Speaker 8: See, I think ghosts, we should just work with the ghosts.
- 1:19:59Speaker 8: We should like find cool stuff for them to do.
- 1:20:02Speaker 8: We can leave like ghost treats out or whatever it
- 1:20:04Speaker 8: is they need.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: Ghost treats.
- 1:20:06Speaker 8: Yeah, blueberry or something, you know, big old bowl of blueberry.
- 1:20:09Speaker 8: They're all set.
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: Make them poop blue because it makes boyfriend poop blue.
- 1:20:13Speaker 8: You're obsessed with that. You have problems, both of you.
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: I don't know. I'm just skeptical. I won't believe in
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: ghosts until I actually see them.
- 1:20:23Speaker 12: You don't believe in UFOs either.
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: I don't.
- 1:20:26Speaker 12: My mom and dad took a picture of a UFO
- 1:20:27Speaker 12: the other day, and it was.
- 1:20:28Speaker 8: Honestly, no, no shit.
- 1:20:31Speaker 12: No, I mean, I'm not shitting you. I mean, I'm
- 1:20:34Speaker 12: not like, all right, I'm not like, you know, oh, UFOs.
- 1:20:37Speaker 12: My dad's like really big into UFOs, and he's always
- 1:20:39Speaker 12: been big into UFOs. My dad was in the Air Force.
- 1:20:42Speaker 12: And they know the truth. Actually, they do. They do.
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: They know.
- 1:20:49Speaker 12: We lived over by Eglin, and he does some contracting
- 1:20:52Speaker 12: work for the government and stuff like that, and he
- 1:20:54Speaker 12: was one of those. He's like, Jay, there are things
- 1:20:57Speaker 12: that you would not believe. There's stuff that the government
- 1:21:01Speaker 12: won't tell us just for the pure reason that the
- 1:21:04Speaker 12: government's like, you don't need to know it. You're civilians,
- 1:21:07Speaker 12: and you'd probably just shit yourselves. But he honestly believes
- 1:21:11Speaker 12: in UFOs, and they took a bunch of pictures when
- 1:21:13Speaker 12: they were up on their property, and she's not going
- 1:21:14Speaker 12: to believe it, which is fine. She doesn't need to
- 1:21:16Speaker 12: see them.
- 1:21:17Speaker 4: Even if I did see them, I wouldn't believe them
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: because I wouldn't push your dad to fucking craft some
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: shit together.
- 1:21:23Speaker 12: Does not know how to edit photos.
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: He probably cut and pasted some shit together.
- 1:21:27Speaker 12: No, he did not.
- 1:21:29Speaker 8: He doesn't even know how to use it.
- 1:21:30Speaker 4: Like literally cut and pasted.
- 1:21:31Speaker 8: Yeah, no. Hey, I do that. I'm kitchen table Z
- 1:21:34Speaker 8: kind of guy.
- 1:21:34Speaker 12: Then he would have had to figure out how to
- 1:21:35Speaker 12: get it on his phone and he barely knows how
- 1:21:37Speaker 12: to work his phone. He knew enough to take a picture.
- 1:21:40Speaker 12: That's all he took. So, whatever. I'm not going to
- 1:21:42Speaker 12: talk about it to you. Non-believer.
- 1:21:47Speaker 8: Anyway, skeptics.
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: I'm chock full of skepticism, but I don't care. Until
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: I actually see something, I'm Unless I actually can see something.
- 1:21:54Speaker 12: And you'll still not believe it. You'll be like, ah,
- 1:21:58Speaker 12: that's a weather balloon.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: No, I might actually see something legitimately.
- 1:22:02Speaker 12: Not until they suck you up with their tractor beam
- 1:22:05Speaker 12: and start probing your anus. You still won't be believing
- 1:22:08Speaker 12: it then.
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: You'll be like, nope, nope, nope. That is bullshit, and
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: you know it.
- 1:22:14Speaker 8: I do know a lot of people that have weird
- 1:22:16Speaker 8: ghost stories lately. All of a sudden in the last
- 1:22:19Speaker 8: few years, everybody I know lives in an ancient house
- 1:22:21Speaker 8: and has weird stories. So I'm like, I don't know
- 1:22:23Speaker 8: what is out there. I don't know. I'm staying out
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: of it. But it astounds me how many, like, people
- 1:22:28Speaker 8: are out there that just have their own show. And, like,
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: that is their thing. And, like, it's amazing that there
- 1:22:34Speaker 8: are that many. But I will say it is good
- 1:22:36Speaker 8: that there is a show for them to go to. Like,
- 1:22:39Speaker 8: we go to so many horror shows. And, like, this
- 1:22:41Speaker 8: at least mixes it up. And it does give you
- 1:22:43Speaker 8: a different group of people and a different group of
- 1:22:45Speaker 8: fans that show up for it. And I like that
- 1:22:48Speaker 8: there is a place to mix all that together. And
- 1:22:51Speaker 8: I think it's a decent, you know. The ridiculous fictionalized
- 1:22:54Speaker 8: horror world, you know, versus what people seem to think
- 1:22:58Speaker 8: is real. So I think it's an interesting mixture.
- 1:23:00Speaker 12: It's all in fun, too. I mean, you know, it's
- 1:23:04Speaker 12: a good convention. I like this convention. The aisles are big.
- 1:23:08Speaker 12: I don't have to run into anybody.
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: I just thought it was strange that the paranormal people
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: had longer lines than Malcolm McDowell. I'm like, this is
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: Malcolm McDowell, and... this random guy that I've never even
- 1:23:17Speaker 4: heard of line is out the door. It was like
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: five people over in Malcolm McDowell's line.
- 1:23:21Speaker 8: It was a little disturbing because there were a few
- 1:23:23Speaker 8: people that I had no clue who.
- 1:23:25Speaker 12: They were and they had a ridiculously long, but then
- 1:23:28Speaker 12: even if you get people in the Malcolm McDowell line,
- 1:23:30Speaker 12: they're just like.
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: Clockwork orange clockwork orange, you know.
- 1:23:33Speaker 8: Which I'm not going to complain about. It's an amazing,
- 1:23:36Speaker 8: amazing movie.
- 1:23:37Speaker 12: So, you know, I was happy that they actually had
- 1:23:39Speaker 12: like a couple photos from if, yeah. Um, which I
- 1:23:43Speaker 12: still wish I had been able to print out the
- 1:23:45Speaker 12: one of him on a BSA, but hey, whatever.
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: Maybe next time.
- 1:23:51Speaker 8: Yeah, he loves that movie and that whole run of
- 1:23:54Speaker 8: movies and that director, and so I don't know. That
- 1:23:57Speaker 8: will lead to mine, and we'll sort of wrap up here.
- 1:23:59Speaker 8: That was my rounding out of the day here there
- 1:24:02Speaker 8: at the convention, as I did actually, as you may
- 1:24:06Speaker 8: have heard in that little break there, I did. did
- 1:24:09Speaker 8: get a chance to talk to Malcolm McDowell. So we
- 1:24:14Speaker 8: only had time to kind of cover one thing, and
- 1:24:17Speaker 8: I'm saving it for a future episode. So this one
- 1:24:20Speaker 8: is sort of a teaser that we've got a good-sized segment.
- 1:24:24Speaker 8: He really did sort of go on, but it's all
- 1:24:27Speaker 8: about one specific movie, and I want to put together
- 1:24:29Speaker 8: an entire episode built around that movie. So I think
- 1:24:33Speaker 8: we're going to have to leave it at his little
- 1:24:35Speaker 8: bumper there.
- 1:24:36Speaker 12: It was the movie suck, wasn't it?
- 1:24:39Speaker 14: I knew it.
- 1:24:39Speaker 8: Misty loves Suck.
- 1:24:41Speaker 12: I knew it.
- 1:24:41Speaker 11: No.
- 1:24:41Speaker 4: Has nobody else seen that movie?
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: It's all you.
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:24:44Speaker 4: It's the worst movie ever.
- 1:24:46Speaker 8: It's not his fault, though.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: No.
- 1:24:48Speaker 8: There's a lot of bad things that go on in
- 1:24:49Speaker 8: those movies.
- 1:24:51Speaker 12: But, you know, it was horrible, but sometimes I enjoy
- 1:24:55Speaker 12: horrible movies.
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: I do, too, but this was just horrible in a
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: horrible way.
- 1:24:58Speaker 12: Sometimes I enjoy horrible, horrible movies in a horrible way.
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: You do.
- 1:25:04Speaker 6: Ugh.
- 1:25:04Speaker 12: I don't know what it is. I get sucked into
- 1:25:06Speaker 12: the horribleness of it. And I'm just like, you know what?
- 1:25:08Speaker 12: That's pretty bad. But for some reason, I'm watching it,
- 1:25:10Speaker 12: and I just can't stop.
- 1:25:12Speaker 4: We had to watch that Nicolas Cage movie.
- 1:25:13Speaker 12: Dude, that Nicolas Cage movie was awesome. That is the
- 1:25:16Speaker 12: most awesome. Have anybody seen Vampire's Kiss?
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:25:21Speaker 12: That's such a train wreck of a movie.
- 1:25:25Speaker 8: It's awesome.
- 1:25:25Speaker 12: And we were watching. We don't have cable TV. We've
- 1:25:28Speaker 12: got antenna TV, because I'm not going to pay the
- 1:25:31Speaker 12: cable company, because they're a bunch of dicks.
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: They kind of are.
- 1:25:34Speaker 12: Well, yeah, they corner you, and then they charge you
- 1:25:39Speaker 12: too much money, and I don't like that. And then
- 1:25:41Speaker 12: there's other things.
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: Not really.
- 1:25:43Speaker 12: Yeah, it's stupid, but we were watching the, I don't
- 1:25:46Speaker 12: even know what network it was.
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: We were flipping through and landed upon the craziness of
- 1:25:49Speaker 4: Nicolas Cage.
- 1:25:50Speaker 12: Yeah, and all I did was I flipped the channel,
- 1:25:52Speaker 12: and he's running down the street yelling, I'm.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: A vampire, I'm a vampire, I'm a vampire, I'm a vampire.
- 1:25:57Speaker 12: And I'm like, what the hell is this?
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: Why have we not already seen it?
- 1:26:02Speaker 12: So actually, luckily, it was on YouTube. Yeah, we tried
- 1:26:06Speaker 12: to look for it on Netflix, but we couldn't find it.
- 1:26:08Speaker 12: So it was on YouTube, the full movie.
- 1:26:11Speaker 8: I like when that happens now It's happening more often
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: If you want to watch how horrible this movie is
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: And if you don't have a problem with Nicolas Cage
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: And even if you do have a problem with.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: Nicolas Cage Which I do because I usually hate.
- 1:26:21Speaker 12: Him Watch this movie because it is so just weird
- 1:26:25Speaker 12: And it's got Jennifer Beals in it Yeah right Yeah
- 1:26:31Speaker 12: Flashdance girl Yeah it's such a weird movie Because he's
- 1:26:36Speaker 12: just having this complete mental breakdown And he thinks he's
- 1:26:39Speaker 12: a vampire Are you.
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: Trying to tell me that he's not Don't ruin the movie.
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: I'm not.
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: Whatever.
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: He's just.
- 1:26:46Speaker 12: It's weird. Dude, it's so weird.
- 1:26:48Speaker 7: Weird movie.
- 1:26:51Speaker 8: I did not talk to Nicolas Cage today. I'm okay
- 1:26:54Speaker 8: with that. Given the options, I would gladly prefer to
- 1:26:57Speaker 8: sit down for hours and hang out with Malcolm McDowell.
- 1:27:00Speaker 4: Did you see the video I posted where somebody pasted
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: Nicolas Cage's face onto Miley Cyrus? Oh, God. During like
- 1:27:09Speaker 4: the wrecking ball video. So it's him naked on a
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: wrecking ball. It's glorious.
- 1:27:14Speaker 16: Anyway.
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: Anyways, today we went to the Peddler's Mall and we
- 1:27:17Speaker 4: bought awesome things. We should tell you about what we bought.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: What did we buy? A Black Hole album. That was
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: pretty exciting. And a Twilight Zone magazine. That was epic.
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: And some trading cards. And one of them was Doug Jones.
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: That was awesome.
- 1:27:34Speaker 4: And a Corey Feldman one.
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: That one's lame.
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: Yeah, good times.
- 1:27:37Speaker 12: There's nothing wrong with Feldman.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: There's a lot of things wrong with Feldman.
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: As previously stated by Zach Galligan, there's a lot of
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: things wrong with the world that are due to Corey Feldman.
- 1:27:48Speaker 12: I'd still hang out with Corey Feldman. I'm sorry.
- 1:27:51Speaker 9: I would.
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: You should be sorry.
- 1:27:53Speaker 12: I don't care. I'd still hang out with Corey Feldman.
- 1:27:56Speaker 12: At least in theory right now.
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: Would you call him Feldog?
- 1:28:00Speaker 12: If he wanted me to.
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: Oh, that's bad.
- 1:28:03Speaker 12: No, I probably wouldn't.
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: You know you do have that option, right?
- 1:28:06Speaker 11: What?
- 1:28:07Speaker 10: You can buy tickets to his birthday party. He's got
- 1:28:10Speaker 10: this party series. Do we know about this? Has this
- 1:28:12Speaker 10: been addressed on the show?
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: I've heard about this.
- 1:28:16Speaker 10: Angels or yeah exactly angels.
- 1:28:20Speaker 4: Two hundred dollars to go hang out there unless you're
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: a chick unless you're a hot chick hot chick and
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: scantily clad.
- 1:28:26Speaker 12: You know i'm not no that's no i'm not it's
- 1:28:29Speaker 12: that's gonna end up you're not gonna dress up like
- 1:28:31Speaker 12: a hot chick no it's this you know me i
- 1:28:33Speaker 12: don't hang out at stuff like that there's probably going
- 1:28:35Speaker 12: to be drinking and stuff. I'm really boring. I'm a
- 1:28:39Speaker 12: stick in the mud nowadays.
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: Nowadays.
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: Nowadays.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: I like you that way.
- 1:28:45Speaker 5: It's okay.
- 1:28:45Speaker 12: Yeah, it keeps me from getting in trouble and beating
- 1:28:48Speaker 12: the crap out of people.
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: And being too stupid.
- 1:28:52Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 1:28:52Speaker 12: Does Feldman beat the crap out of anybody?
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: No.
- 1:28:55Speaker 12: Oh, like me beating the crap out of Feldman? Yeah,
- 1:28:58Speaker 12: Feldman does not want me to get drunk because the
- 1:29:02Speaker 12: level of obnoxiousness and meanness coming out of me, yeah,
- 1:29:06Speaker 12: I'll destroy the entire place.
- 1:29:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: I think it's, was it $ 200?
- 1:29:10Speaker 10: Is that what the, that sounds about right.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: Well, you could go, it's competitive.
- 1:29:14Speaker 10: It's a competitive rate to hang out with a celebrity
- 1:29:16Speaker 10: in their mansion.
- 1:29:17Speaker 4: At least Feldman's level celebrity.
- 1:29:20Speaker 12: You got a mansion?
- 1:29:21Speaker 8: Can I pick another celebrity? Like, can we have this
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: option with any celebrity? Because then I'd be okay with it.
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: Who would you pay $ 200 to go hang out with?
- 1:29:30Speaker 8: I can hate so many people that aren't Corey Feldman.
- 1:29:33Speaker 10: Actually, Jerry Lee Lewis did it one year. Like you
- 1:29:35Speaker 10: could pay $ 500 to go to his birthday party. And like,
- 1:29:38Speaker 10: I almost did it. And I wish to this day
- 1:29:40Speaker 10: that I had, it was like when he was having
- 1:29:41Speaker 10: tax trouble, when he also had to open up his
- 1:29:43Speaker 10: house to like the public, which I don't, did anybody
- 1:29:46Speaker 10: do that by any chance? Because that was an experience.
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: I've seen him twice now, but neither was at his house.
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: It was in concert.
- 1:29:54Speaker 10: Yeah, he was living in it, so it was really awkward.
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: Could you walk through and see him sitting in a
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: lazy boy?
- 1:30:01Speaker 9: Exactly.
- 1:30:01Speaker 10: You would have to make an appointment, and then a
- 1:30:03Speaker 10: guy would let you in the front gate, and then
- 1:30:05Speaker 10: he'd be like... I mean, there were dirty dishes in
- 1:30:08Speaker 10: the sink, and the pool wasn't filled because he couldn't
- 1:30:11Speaker 10: afford to fill it, and it was just like, here's
- 1:30:13Speaker 10: his kitchen, and there's his microwave, and it was just.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: Really?
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: And we were like, is he here right now?
- 1:30:19Speaker 10: And he was like, um, maybe like, well, he come downstairs.
- 1:30:23Speaker 10: He's like, well, I mean, sometimes if he needs to
- 1:30:25Speaker 10: come downstairs and then it was when he was getting
- 1:30:28Speaker 10: a divorce from his wife who masterminded this whole amazing scheme. And, uh, the,
- 1:30:32Speaker 10: there was a gift shop that was actually their garage.
- 1:30:34Speaker 10: Like they just put like t-shirts and stuff in the garage.
- 1:30:37Speaker 10: And there's like a one section of the t-shirts that
- 1:30:39Speaker 10: were all like vintage 1980s t-shirts in a very specific
- 1:30:44Speaker 10: women's size, which I'm pretty sure was just her trying
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: to get rid of all of her Jerry shit. So
- 1:30:49Speaker 10: I bought one.
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: Did they have reasonable prices on their shirts though? What
- 1:30:52Speaker 4: was the price on their shirts?
- 1:30:53Speaker 10: That's a good question. I mean, this was a really
- 1:30:54Speaker 10: long time ago. This was probably like 97, I want
- 1:30:57Speaker 10: to say it was like $ 10.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: That's not bad at all.
- 1:31:00Speaker 12: Actually, I think everybody I'd want to hang out with
- 1:31:02Speaker 12: are dead. So unfortunately, I would hang out with Evel Knievel.
- 1:31:08Speaker 12: i would do that i would hang out with steve
- 1:31:09Speaker 12: mcqueen yeah i would go race bikes with steve mcqueen
- 1:31:13Speaker 12: that would be awesome.
- 1:31:14Speaker 4: Sad because most people that i would hang out too
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: are also dead like i would i would pay 200
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: to go to like rod sterling's birthday that'd be awesome
- 1:31:21Speaker 4: that would be amazing he would tell so many stories
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: at least in my head i have this whole like
- 1:31:25Speaker 4: fantasy of what it would be like to hang out
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: with rod sterling and it would be just like Him
- 1:31:29Speaker 4: tucking me in at night, tucking me into bed and
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: telling me scary stories.
- 1:31:33Speaker 12: And then he'd be smoking inside and you'd be coughing.
- 1:31:37Speaker 8: You'd be like, right, second hand smoke.
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: In my fantasy film.
- 1:31:40Speaker 12: He would sit in ashtray on top of you while
- 1:31:44Speaker 12: he's talking.
- 1:31:45Speaker 8: Here, honey, don't move. Sweet dreams.
- 1:31:52Speaker 4: Sweet dreams of cancer and whatnot. But no, I could Yeah,
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: I can't think of anybody alive that I would possibly
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: spend $ 200 to hang out with. Like, no. Like, I
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: love Axl Rose, but.
- 1:32:04Speaker 8: I would not want to hang out with her.
- 1:32:05Speaker 4: Dude, I have the biggest.
- 1:32:07Speaker 8: Totally called you on that one.
- 1:32:08Speaker 4: Dude, she's so hot. I'm not into chicks, and I
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: don't want to do her. I just want to sit
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: and look at her because she's so pretty. She's so hot.
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: I don't even care, dude.
- 1:32:19Speaker 12: You could just get pictures of her then if you
- 1:32:21Speaker 12: wanted to just sit and stare at her.
- 1:32:24Speaker 8: You should pay her $ 200 and see if she'll let
- 1:32:26Speaker 8: you take pictures.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: I would want to hang out.
- 1:32:28Speaker 8: Because she does do that.
- 1:32:29Speaker 4: I would want to hang out with Bunny.
- 1:32:31Speaker 12: Oh, God.
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: Graveyard girl.
- 1:32:35Speaker 12: Yeah, but I don't think you'd pay $ 200. I don't think.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: You have to.
- 1:32:38Speaker 8: Just call her.
- 1:32:39Speaker 4: We could just go hang out at Walmart together.
- 1:32:41Speaker 8: She'd be like, oh, my God, yes.
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: I recently have a heterosexual girl crush on Bunny.
- 1:32:46Speaker 8: I'm a little fascinated with her, and I just started
- 1:32:48Speaker 8: last night watching her.
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: She's fascinated. Her teeth alone are just mesmerizing. I don't
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: understand it. But she's just.
- 1:32:55Speaker 8: This is a girl on YouTube. She has her own
- 1:32:57Speaker 8: YouTube channel, Graveyard Girl, if I'm not mistaken.
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: Yes, but the E in grave is a three?
- 1:33:02Speaker 8: Is a three, because I'm sure somebody took the other one.
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: Jerks.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: She's fascinating, and at first I was drawn in. I'm like,
- 1:33:07Speaker 4: what's wrong with this girl's face? Just because she's like
- 1:33:10Speaker 4: a cartoon character?
- 1:33:11Speaker 8: She's so animated. She kind of is.
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: She's just like.
- 1:33:13Speaker 12: She's more animated than a person should be, but that's
- 1:33:16Speaker 12: just part of the awesomeness.
- 1:33:17Speaker 4: There's nothing wrong with her face. It's just like no
- 1:33:21Speaker 4: human's face. It's like a cartoon.
- 1:33:24Speaker 12: Yeah, it's on a different level.
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: And I know I'm way behind on this craze. She's
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: been around for several years, but I'd never heard of her.
- 1:33:34Speaker 4: And I'm just like, I have to watch like two
- 1:33:36Speaker 4: or three videos of her a day. Get my bunny fix.
- 1:33:40Speaker 12: She reminds me of a couple, like a conglomeration of
- 1:33:44Speaker 12: some people that I know. But only, well, I mean,
- 1:33:47Speaker 12: she looks like one of my friends. And then she
- 1:33:49Speaker 12: looks like another person that we know kind of morphed together.
- 1:33:55Speaker 12: But neither one of them have the amount of attitude
- 1:33:59Speaker 12: and charisma and silliness.
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: I think.
- 1:34:02Speaker 12: Crack-headedness that she has so yeah she's pretty damn adorable.
- 1:34:06Speaker 8: Yeah she does command the screen when she's on her
- 1:34:09Speaker 8: youtube screen she really she yeah she takes control you've.
- 1:34:13Speaker 4: Only watched like what one two videos.
- 1:34:14Speaker 8: I've seen a couple of them and i'm already just
- 1:34:16Speaker 8: like that's the thing that was my message back to
- 1:34:18Speaker 8: you is like what is wrong with her i'm a
- 1:34:21Speaker 8: little bit creeped out and i want to simultaneously hang
- 1:34:24Speaker 8: out with her i don't know what that means i'm confused.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: She's so adorable And it's just like, we have so
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: many things in common. It's ridiculous. She hates people that hum.
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: I hate people that hum.
- 1:34:37Speaker 12: You guys have a strange fascination with hand sanitizer.
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: I love hand sanitizer like nobody's business.
- 1:34:42Speaker 12: So much that it spilled over into my own stuff.
- 1:34:44Speaker 12: Like I was packing a backpack to go work the
- 1:34:46Speaker 12: motorcycle show and I was digging through it and I
- 1:34:49Speaker 12: was like, holy shit, there's hand sanitizer in here.
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: I was like.
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: Cool.
- 1:34:54Speaker 8: I figured you were like, it seeped into your brain.
- 1:34:57Speaker 8: So you're packing up your tools and you're like, I'm
- 1:34:59Speaker 8: going to need my hands sanitized.
- 1:35:00Speaker 12: No, it was like tools and stuff like that. And
- 1:35:03Speaker 12: then I was like, hey, there's hand sanitizer in here.
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: Awesome.
- 1:35:06Speaker 12: But then when do I sanitize my hands?
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: Never. You ungodly heathen of dirt.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: I don't.
- 1:35:13Speaker 12: You should see me at work. I eat hamburgers with greasy,
- 1:35:15Speaker 12: oily hands and I don't care.
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: You dirt monger. But yes, everybody should watch Bunny and
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: it's Graveyard Girl with a three in the middle of it.
- 1:35:27Speaker 4: And I'm not like being paid to like tell you this.
- 1:35:30Speaker 8: Normally I'll just be like, I'm not endorsing them, but no,
- 1:35:33Speaker 8: she's pretty entertaining. And she's very independent in her own right,
- 1:35:37Speaker 8: so I'm all for supporting other people of our level
- 1:35:41Speaker 8: of entertainment, we'll call ourselves.
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: And she has this whole individual section of does this
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: thing really work? Where she tries out different as seen
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: on TV hair products. And it usually has disastrous effects.
- 1:35:56Speaker 4: But it's always entertaining to watch. Good times. And she
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: goes to Walmart and Bed Bath & Beyond. And she
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: takes the camera with her. It's fascinating. Do we know
- 1:36:06Speaker 4: where she lives? Is this a future guest? I think
- 1:36:08Speaker 4: she's in Florida or Louisiana.
- 1:36:09Speaker 8: I thought it was Texas. I thought she lived in Austin.
- 1:36:12Speaker 8: I think it's Texas.
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: Well, she keeps talking about gators from the swamp.
- 1:36:14Speaker 8: She does, for some reason, constantly reference gators, but I'm
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: pretty sure her P.O. box is in Texas.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: Okay, maybe she's in Texas.
- 1:36:21Speaker 8: I don't get it.
- 1:36:22Speaker 4: She loves her tea.
- 1:36:24Speaker 8: Sippy, sippy.
- 1:36:25Speaker 12: But Texas is kind of south.
- 1:36:29Speaker 8: It is, but it's also its own little world.
- 1:36:31Speaker 12: But, I mean, we like tea, too.
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: Sweet tea.
- 1:36:33Speaker 12: The sweeter, the better. Hell, yeah.
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: Ouch. But, yes. Gator girl. Gator Girl. Look at that.
- 1:36:43Speaker 4: Graveyard Girl.
- 1:36:44Speaker 8: Graveyard Girl.
- 1:36:45Speaker 7: All right.
- 1:36:46Speaker 8: We will plug her because she is kind of awesome.
- 1:36:49Speaker 4: You want to plug her?
- 1:36:51Speaker 8: It's a very special episode of Graveyard Girl. Anyway, no,
- 1:36:58Speaker 8: I don't need to pay $ 200 because I did get
- 1:37:01Speaker 8: to hang out with somebody today, and it was Malcolm McDowell.
- 1:37:04Speaker 8: So I think that's my wrap-up is going to be
- 1:37:06Speaker 8: the cliffhanger there that somewhere in the near future, you
- 1:37:11Speaker 8: guys have met our crew. So trying to piece together
- 1:37:13Speaker 8: anything with them, God knows how long. So I'm not
- 1:37:16Speaker 8: going to pin down a time. I'm not going to
- 1:37:18Speaker 8: say tune in next week for it because it ain't
- 1:37:19Speaker 8: going to be next week. But just know there is
- 1:37:22Speaker 8: an awesome Malcolm McDowell segment. And it's coming at you
- 1:37:27Speaker 8: with a full episode built around it. So it was
- 1:37:31Speaker 8: definitely a good day and a promising day for Movie Meltdown.
- 1:37:34Speaker 8: So I'm glad I can say I did talk to
- 1:37:38Speaker 8: a cinema legend. You know, I mean, there's very few people,
- 1:37:41Speaker 8: kind of like you were saying, like there's very few
- 1:37:43Speaker 8: people that come in that category that you get to
- 1:37:46Speaker 8: sit there and have a conversation with. So, you know,
- 1:37:49Speaker 8: that was kind of awesome.
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: Once he tore himself away from his phone because he
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: was pretty enamored.
- 1:37:54Speaker 8: That's everybody, though.
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: He did that during the Q & A, too. Did
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: he really?
- 1:37:57Speaker 10: He all of a sudden, like, a girl was asking
- 1:38:00Speaker 10: a question, and he just, like, got out his phone,
- 1:38:02Speaker 10: and he was like, oh. And then he was just like, um,
- 1:38:06Speaker 10: so there's a soccer game on right now, so.
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: And he's like, wait, I'm sorry, what was your question again?
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: And he has an otter box. So I was like,
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: it would be so much cuter if it actually had
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: an otter on it. Because, I mean, I'm very disappointed
- 1:38:16Speaker 4: with that. If it had, like, an actual picture of
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: an otter, I would totally have an otter box.
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: But it doesn't, so I don't.
- 1:38:21Speaker 12: Don't make Anna rocks through your phone.
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: I thought they did. Whatever, not important. I don't know. Yeah,
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: I don't know that I would pay $ 200 to hang
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: out with Amber Heard, because, yeah, I would just sit
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: and look at her, and I could do that with
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: magazines or on the internet.
- 1:38:36Speaker 8: You don't have to just sit and look at her.
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: I told you, I don't want to, like.
- 1:38:41Speaker 8: You can brush your hair.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: I could!
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: Oh, my God. Wouldn't be as good as Pretty Hair Girls,
- 1:38:48Speaker 4: but it would be pretty exciting.
- 1:38:51Speaker 8: Can I braid it too? Oh, I'm sure she'd let
- 1:38:54Speaker 8: you braid.
- 1:38:54Speaker 4: Can we have pillow fights? We can make s'mores.
- 1:38:57Speaker 8: You put bows in your hair and have pillow fights.
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: Won't you paint my toenails? Because that would be so fun.
- 1:39:03Speaker 8: Eat cereal and make s'mores.
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: This is the best party ever.
- 1:39:09Speaker 11: See?
- 1:39:10Speaker 8: Let's get this going. $ 200 pot, people. Kickstarter. Let's get
- 1:39:13Speaker 8: this rolling.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: So.
- 1:39:17Speaker 8: So I'm glad that I got to talk to him,
- 1:39:19Speaker 8: and it took a lot of orchestrating that this weekend,
- 1:39:22Speaker 8: and it took from Friday till the end of the
- 1:39:25Speaker 8: day Sunday, but I snuck it in at the end there,
- 1:39:28Speaker 8: and now we have that in our near future, so
- 1:39:33Speaker 8: good to know. Anything else to pass along?
- 1:39:36Speaker 6: Nope.
- 1:39:37Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:39:38Speaker 8: It was a good time at Scarefest, so go to thescarefest.com
- 1:39:42Speaker 8: and plan for next year's event, because, yeah, wide aisles, people.
- 1:39:46Speaker 8: No weirdos rubbing up against you.
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: That should be a benefit. That's right. There's a selling point.
- 1:39:52Speaker 8: And awesome guests. I mean, they brought in some really
- 1:39:54Speaker 8: good people. So every year, I mean, some of the
- 1:39:58Speaker 8: most impressive people I've met, I've met at Scarefest.
- 1:40:00Speaker 4: I could do without them ever having Zach Bagans there again.
- 1:40:03Speaker 8: Again, it's the only paranormal thing around here. It's paranormal.
- 1:40:07Speaker 12: So they'll draw in him and different people.
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: I can bring in that other Grant guy. I'm okay
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: with him. Taps?
- 1:40:12Speaker 8: Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:40:14Speaker 11: Grant?
- 1:40:14Speaker 16: Grant?
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: Hang out or anything or like have sleepovers or whatever.
- 1:40:21Speaker 12: I want him to get the ghost facers.
- 1:40:25Speaker 4: Ghost facers.
- 1:40:26Speaker 12: I want a ghost facer shirt. Okay, that would be
- 1:40:29Speaker 12: actually pretty good if they got that. I want a
- 1:40:31Speaker 12: ghost facer shirt.
- 1:40:32Speaker 3: Ghost facers.
- 1:40:34Speaker 5: Oh, God.
- 1:40:35Speaker 8: All right, so it was a good weekend. We'll wrap
- 1:40:37Speaker 8: it up and get out of here. Otherwise, that about
- 1:40:40Speaker 8: does it. We will return next week. Same geek time,
- 1:40:41Speaker 8: same geek feed. Thanks for listening.
- 1:40:43Speaker 4: Ghost facers.
- 1:40:48Speaker 11: Ghost, Ghost Basin' We face the ghost with our little
- 1:40:51Speaker 11: mind We're the Ghost, Ghost Basin' Stay in the kitchen
- 1:40:59Speaker 11: when the kitchen gets hot Ghost, Ghost Basin' We face
- 1:41:06Speaker 11: the nightmare, we face the dread Ghost, Ghost Basin' We.
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: Face the baseless, we face the dead They enter, they
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: fall Into the supernatural.
- 1:41:26Speaker 12: Bye. It's one of these a week.
- 1:41:33Speaker 8: Have you just figured that out? We've been doing this
- 1:41:34Speaker 8: for like six years now.
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:41:36Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:41:37Speaker 9: Later.
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: That is not me, by the way.
- 1:41:42Speaker 8: Misty, stop drinking that water.
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: You can't make me. Thirstiest dog ever.
