- 0:08Speaker 1: you're trying to get into one day or shown what
- 0:11Speaker 1: you're trying to do. Well, you look very cute. This this, this,
- 0:16Speaker 1: You look like a memoji of yourself.
- 0:18Speaker 2: You look like you look you look like uh uh
- 0:25Speaker 2: Velma from Scooby Doo.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I'll take it lesbian icon.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Icon Delma.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, Joel, you should make your memoji have this
- 0:36Speaker 1: fit on with these classes.
- 0:38Speaker 3: All right, I'm gonna I'm gonna work.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It because you know you got to, says I made
- 0:44Speaker 1: a memoji of Donald and I often use.
- 0:46Speaker 2: It in It's not nice. It's not nice. It's exactly
- 0:51Speaker 2: like you. The head, the hairline is like back here.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Well, let me show you, guys and see if you
- 0:55Speaker 1: agree that it's good.
- 0:58Speaker 2: He gave me to George to.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Show you my memojis.
- 1:01Speaker 3: He just dropped in the group chat.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I got notes.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah no, second before you get.
- 1:08Speaker 2: No, but I was watching that show on Holy Ship.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I got notes. You need to hold it together. You
- 1:15Speaker 2: need to hold it together and stop talking about them
- 1:17Speaker 2: damn emojis, and let's get into this. Kate Blenchett Show.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Okay, holy we should get in preamble before we get
- 1:23Speaker 1: into the guests. It's an excellent show, and I think
- 1:26Speaker 1: it's probably the most underrated show of last year.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I thought, sure, you guys watch it.
- 1:31Speaker 1: By the way, disclaimer you're talking about disclaimer? Why an't
- 1:34Speaker 1: you watched it? You're our producer.
- 1:36Speaker 3: There's so so sorry, so much do you have to
- 1:39Speaker 3: watch for work?
- 1:40Speaker 1: You're spending too much time with Zoey Deschanel on the other.
- 1:44Speaker 3: My goodness, listen.
- 1:47Speaker 2: We can we can.
- 1:48Speaker 1: I ask a question right off the bat.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I always ask a question forever.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Stop talking about your willies?
- 1:54Speaker 1: Donald, Why is this basketball trade such a big deal?
- 1:58Speaker 1: I don't know anything about it.
- 1:59Speaker 2: But is how you got to look at it. This
- 2:01Speaker 2: is how you got to look at it. This is
- 2:03Speaker 2: how you about Lebron. I mean, sorry, a D for
- 2:07Speaker 2: Luca or Luka Doncik for a D is like if
- 2:12Speaker 2: so if the Dallas Mavericks traded for all of those
- 2:16Speaker 2: who have no idea what we're talking about, the Dallas
- 2:19Speaker 2: Mavericks traded Luka Doncik to the Lakers for Anthony Davis
- 2:23Speaker 2: and some other picks and some other stuff. Right that
- 2:27Speaker 2: is the equivalent of that is the equivalent of Destiny's
- 2:32Speaker 2: Child trading Beyonce to t LC for Chili.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I saw that online.
- 2:40Speaker 3: It's a good one, though.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Don't act like you made that up. I saw that online.
- 2:44Speaker 2: I didn't make it up. But that's what it's like.
- 2:46Speaker 2: That is exactly Why.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Did they do it to someone who knows nothing about that?
- 2:50Speaker 2: I have no idea. I all I know is Dallas
- 2:53Speaker 2: has lost their fucking mind.
- 2:56Speaker 1: What are your thoughts? You're a basketball follower.
- 2:59Speaker 5: I think Donald is more than I do at this point,
- 3:01Speaker 5: but I agree that, Like you know, I think Cubes left,
- 3:04Speaker 5: Mark Cuban stopped, you know, being a part of that organization.
- 3:08Speaker 2: He just he just gave away sah.
- 3:11Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly. He's not making the decisions anymore. But like
- 3:14Speaker 5: in twenty twenty, he was like, I would sooner divorce
- 3:16Speaker 5: my wife than trade Luka Doncic.
- 3:17Speaker 2: So like, yo, I don't understand. I don't. I don't
- 3:22Speaker 2: understand what their GM or their vice president of basketball
- 3:26Speaker 2: operations was thinking. He traded a twenty five year old
- 3:30Speaker 2: future of the like literally, Luca Wein be team yeah, Luca.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Win Bin Yama burial for him.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Outside of the stadium the following day, they're so distressed.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Dude, Wait, there must be a secret reason, Like there
- 3:45Speaker 1: must be something there.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Well, there's a bunch of there's a bunch of like
- 3:48Speaker 2: conspiracy theories in some states, and some say Luca's an alcoholics.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Some say they're trying to get a casino going in Dallas,
- 3:56Speaker 2: and uh uh and people aren't you know, down with that,
- 4:03Speaker 2: and so they're trying to show these people that will
- 4:06Speaker 2: do whatever we can to get this casino thing going.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Like there's a bunch of conspiracies. Okay, what I personally believe.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I believe that this dude's a moron, No disrespect my friend.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't know you who's a moron?
- 4:20Speaker 2: The trader guy, the dude who traded Luka Doncik doesn't
- 4:23Speaker 2: either he doesn't know basketball or.
- 4:25Speaker 1: He doesn't he would probably know basketball.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Not necessarily. Some people make moves all on feeling and
- 4:30Speaker 2: stuff like that. They were claiming that Luca was out
- 4:33Speaker 2: of shape and stuff and they had to pay him
- 4:36Speaker 2: something like three hundred and twenty million dollars in the
- 4:38Speaker 2: next couple of years and they didn't want to have
- 4:40Speaker 2: to do that.
- 4:41Speaker 1: My next basketball question for those of us who don't
- 4:44Speaker 1: follow basketball, is what is going on with Lebron's son?
- 4:47Speaker 1: He is in the NBA and not doing that well.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Is that what's happening.
- 4:53Speaker 2: He's just not ready yet. That's all. I think. Bronnie
- 4:56Speaker 2: James is going to be a really good basketball player.
- 4:59Speaker 2: He's showing flashes of it called.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Shade in her window.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Well conversation before, I remember, somebody's saying, of course he's
- 5:11Speaker 4: going to be the greatest.
- 5:12Speaker 3: He's Lebron James. Soon he'll be excellent.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I said that, and I still believe that. I believe
- 5:17Speaker 2: that he will be a very good player. Right now,
- 5:20Speaker 2: he's learning the ropes. I think he got into the
- 5:22Speaker 2: league a little too early.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Early because his dad wanted to play with him.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Is that the vibe that might be part of it?
- 5:29Speaker 2: I mean, nepotism does play a big part in this.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Part of it.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Donald, it does play.
- 5:34Speaker 3: You are so kind that.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Donald, Donald, Donald does don't. But I believe, I believe,
- 5:40Speaker 2: I believe that this kid in a couple of years
- 5:44Speaker 2: will be very good and everybody will be uh swallowing
- 5:50Speaker 2: their words. He's already showing. He's already showing flashes of
- 5:56Speaker 2: brilliance in the g League, which is a good sign
- 5:59Speaker 2: because usually, you know, if you can't make it in
- 6:02Speaker 2: the G League, you're not going to make it in
- 6:03Speaker 2: the NBA.
- 6:04Speaker 1: What's the G League.
- 6:06Speaker 2: It's like the minor leagues for the NBA.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know the NBC. I didn't even know
- 6:10Speaker 1: the NBA had minor.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Leagues that those games, they're pretty good.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah, who goes to the G League game? Quite a
- 6:16Speaker 2: few people. He actually sells out the G League. He
- 6:19Speaker 2: actually sells out when he plays in the G League.
- 6:21Speaker 2: People want to drain threes. He can drain threes, he
- 6:26Speaker 2: can dunk, he's a good passer. He doesn't turn the
- 6:29Speaker 2: ball over that much in the G League. In the NBA,
- 6:32Speaker 2: it's a little different. They're all a little bit. You know,
- 6:34Speaker 2: everybody's great in the NBA. Uh not, everybody's great in
- 6:38Speaker 2: the GRAVE. I mean everybody travels.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And everybody travels right in the NBA.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Now, so the Riots don't really.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Sorry, this is one more I don't know the NBA
- 6:50Speaker 1: that well question. It seems to me, from what I
- 6:52Speaker 1: understand of traveling, everybody's kind of traveling. Yes, yes, they
- 6:57Speaker 1: don't call it. They just don't call it.
- 6:59Speaker 2: It's like ja know. Uh, it's it's exactly that's exactly
- 7:03Speaker 2: what it's like. Uh. And if the game's on the
- 7:06Speaker 2: line and you call it travel uh, I'm I am
- 7:12Speaker 2: shocked because everybody does it throughout the game now, where
- 7:16Speaker 2: they lift their first step before they even dribble the ball.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I'd be pretty good in the NBA if I was
- 7:22Speaker 1: allowed to just run around without dribbling.
- 7:24Speaker 2: No, you get your ship. You'd be destroyed.
- 7:26Speaker 1: No, I bet you I could score if if they
- 7:28Speaker 1: if I got on the court with the Lakers and
- 7:30Speaker 1: they said, you don't have to dribble.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Not even. I don't think you'd score in the G League, Bro,
- 7:37Speaker 2: I would score in the G League. If I didn't
- 7:39Speaker 2: think score in the G League, I'm going to put
- 7:42Speaker 2: it out there. I don't think you'd score in a
- 7:43Speaker 2: high school game.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Wow.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I went and saw. I went and I went and
- 7:52Speaker 2: saw Notre Dame Varsierra Canyon. At the endto it Dome,
- 7:58Speaker 2: there's a high school teams and boy, oh boy, are
- 8:02Speaker 2: they fast. I thought, Look, it's it's picked up quite
- 8:07Speaker 2: a bit. The pace is picked up quite a bit
- 8:09Speaker 2: in high school basketball, and kids are way more skilled
- 8:14Speaker 2: now than they were ten years ago. Twenty years ago. Uh,
- 8:18Speaker 2: it's it's pretty impressive.
- 8:21Speaker 1: All right. Well, I just feel like if there was
- 8:24Speaker 1: some kind of contest you how to have those contests
- 8:26Speaker 1: and intermission where you can win cars and stuff. I
- 8:30Speaker 1: feel like if if I had one of those contests
- 8:32Speaker 1: and my rule was you can't dribble, No, sorry, you
- 8:39Speaker 1: don't have to dribble, just fucking like footballing in there,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I feel like I could score some goals.
- 8:45Speaker 3: Putball it into this basketball.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I could. Like I would hold the ball like this,
- 8:50Speaker 1: and I would just like they'd be trying to foul
- 8:52Speaker 1: me and everything. I would just run up there.
- 8:54Speaker 2: And then my fucking the minute of the ball, the
- 8:57Speaker 2: minute the ball got like this, that she would get
- 8:59Speaker 2: smacked out of the sky.
- 9:00Speaker 1: No, because I would already be in the air, flying
- 9:03Speaker 1: like joy that shit.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Right, And as you're jumping up, you would notice that
- 9:06Speaker 2: they're jumping up too, but they're jumping way higher than you.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Ever because I would have trampoline shoes.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Okay, well, then there's that.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Did I not mention?
- 9:17Speaker 2: Did I not mention I'm.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Wearing trampoline shoes?
- 9:19Speaker 2: You did not mention? Well?
- 9:20Speaker 1: I am well, I yeah, I sound like Richard kind well,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I am, Well, I am. Then if we do a
- 9:27Speaker 1: scrubs rebood, we have to bring back Richard Kind absolutely,
- 9:31Speaker 1: because no one makes me laugh harder. How about when
- 9:33Speaker 1: we had him on the show and he goes, they'll call.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Your call, Oh, they'll call.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Oh, they'll call. I'm going to see you today. Donald,
- 9:43Speaker 1: we have a little rehearsal for a secret tone. Are
- 9:47Speaker 1: you gonna wear that beard for the secret project?
- 9:49Speaker 2: No? I got a shave and everything.
- 9:50Speaker 1: When are you getting a shape up?
- 9:52Speaker 2: That's what you call it tomorrow?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Is it called a shame?
- 9:56Speaker 2: It's called a haircut. Actually, I need a I need
- 9:58Speaker 2: a straight up haircut.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Okay, you're gonna the barber comes over to.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Your house, right, he's gonna come to set.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Okay, any and he shaves your beard on your head.
- 10:08Speaker 2: Beard, shave and a haircut, two bits.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Shave and a haircut two bits. Because I feel like
- 10:14Speaker 1: this barber sometimes has come to your home.
- 10:16Speaker 2: That has happened too. You facetimed me yesterday with a
- 10:18Speaker 2: barber at your home.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Well, mine's guy's not a barber.
- 10:23Speaker 2: My guy's not a barber either, he's a groom.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Well, I just feel like with my hair, I don't
- 10:28Speaker 1: think of him as a barber. I think him as
- 10:30Speaker 1: like a hairstylist.
- 10:31Speaker 2: That's what mine is too.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I don't know, that's just I guess it's just a tomato. Tomato.
- 10:39Speaker 1: My hairstylist and I were singing this song and we
- 10:42Speaker 1: didn't know the lyrics, and he said, I guarantee you
- 10:45Speaker 1: Donald knows the lyrics, and we facetimed Donald's and he
- 10:50Speaker 1: knew the entire verse.
- 10:52Speaker 3: That's the song.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Yeah, these motherfuckers hit me up and was like, Yo,
- 10:56Speaker 2: do you know the lyrics to Ladie Daddy. We like
- 10:59Speaker 2: to see. We don't cause trouble, We don't bother nobati,
- 11:05Speaker 2: just some men. That's on the mic. And when we
- 11:08Speaker 2: roped on the mic, we rocked the mic right to all.
- 11:12Speaker 2: He fucking hit me up and asked me that, he said,
- 11:14Speaker 2: is what comes after? He don't cry? Dry your mother
- 11:20Speaker 2: with these two little guys.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I was like, don't cry, try your eye and here
- 11:26Speaker 1: comes your mother with these two little guys.
- 11:28Speaker 2: He mean mother stepped upset to me. Hi hit Sally
- 11:32Speaker 2: in the face and Dector in the eye, punched her
- 11:36Speaker 2: in the belly and stepped on her feet, slammed the
- 11:39Speaker 2: child on the hard concrete and then I proceeded to
- 11:43Speaker 2: do the rest of the verse.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So we were able to say thank you Donald. You
- 11:47Speaker 1: did know the song it's slick Rick, which I didn't
- 11:49Speaker 1: know that it was slick Rick.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Yes, and also was English. Yeah, you didn't know that
- 11:56Speaker 2: slick Rick.
- 11:56Speaker 1: What was British English? Yes, I didn't know that.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Yes, he still had the swagger. I mean, this is
- 12:04Speaker 2: the dude that made a lot of gold like he
- 12:08Speaker 2: was like fur coat, gold chains. Swagger came really from Swick, sorry,
- 12:14Speaker 2: from slick Rick. Like everybody else was kind of you know,
- 12:18Speaker 2: uh suited adida suited out or sweatsuit with jeans and
- 12:23Speaker 2: baseball cap. Slick Rick came with the patch on his
- 12:26Speaker 2: eye and the and the really funky kingo and well yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 2: like the pimp style came from slick Rick.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Do you feel bad for Drake and all that the
- 12:37Speaker 1: whole world is singing at this track about him? That's
- 12:41Speaker 1: just listen when and everyone in the place was dancing.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He asked for it and everyone wanted to battle. He
- 12:50Speaker 2: asked for it. He wanted to battle. He he wanted
- 12:54Speaker 2: to battle. He and this is what happens, dude. Well yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 2: back in the day he started it a long time ago.
- 13:03Speaker 3: It was a petty accidental starts. My understand. Well, the
- 13:07Speaker 3: start of.
- 13:08Speaker 4: This one is he said there's a big three, and
- 13:10Speaker 4: Kendrick was like, did you just say no.
- 13:13Speaker 2: That way way before, way before. I mean, he took
- 13:22Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie. He took Kendrick and j Cole
- 13:24Speaker 2: out on stage with him. He gave them a lot
- 13:26Speaker 2: of shine, and you know, uh, somewhere along the way,
- 13:31Speaker 2: Kendrick got uh, I felt felt a certain way about
- 13:35Speaker 2: what was going on or something he said and he
- 13:39Speaker 2: distant way back when he said something like no new friends,
- 13:42Speaker 2: we don't need that or some ship like that in
- 13:44Speaker 2: that song, and Kendrick took that personal and uh, you
- 13:50Speaker 2: know Jake Coles the one that said, uh, it's like
- 13:54Speaker 2: the Big three, you know what I mean. Jake Cole's
- 13:56Speaker 2: the one that said that. Ja Cole backed up out
- 13:59Speaker 2: it the out of the battle quick, but I don't
- 14:08Speaker 2: want any of this. And they went back and forth
- 14:11Speaker 2: for a bit, and you know a lot of people
- 14:12Speaker 2: are saying it's hate on Drake, and look, I know
- 14:15Speaker 2: what I like, and I like some of the Drake disstracks,
- 14:20Speaker 2: but nothing's better than they not like Us. That's one
- 14:22Speaker 2: of the dopest disc tracks I've ever heard in my life.
- 14:24Speaker 2: In my life, it goes it's been like us, Ether
- 14:28Speaker 2: and back to Back. Drake's back to Back is one
- 14:30Speaker 2: of the best dis tracks I've ever heard. Also, you
- 14:32Speaker 2: know what I mean, I don't hate Drake. I just
- 14:34Speaker 2: feel like he lost this battle.
- 14:36Speaker 1: I just feel like, even though the guy's a zillionaire
- 14:40Speaker 1: and everything and he's you know, he has everything he
- 14:43Speaker 1: wants in life, I just feel the whole world singing
- 14:46Speaker 1: a dis track about him.
- 14:47Speaker 2: I feel bad, Well he has he had the same
- 14:50Speaker 2: thing happened with with a bunch of people. You know,
- 14:53Speaker 2: people were singing the Takeover back in the day when
- 14:56Speaker 2: jay Z dropped that. You know, people were singing Ether,
- 15:00Speaker 2: when Nas dropped that, people were singing uh uh back
- 15:04Speaker 2: to Back when that was dropped. You know, there's so
- 15:07Speaker 2: many people that have battled in the past. This one
- 15:10Speaker 2: just got to a level that nobody ever thought a
- 15:12Speaker 2: battle track would ever get to.
- 15:14Speaker 1: But they were the Grammys, and they like every single artist.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Like the whole fucking Grammy said a minor.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I know, I know, and they're all dancing like even
- 15:27Speaker 1: like the old like from old record execs to yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 1: arms Swift with a champagne glass and everyone.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Yeah, a miner.
- 15:35Speaker 4: Like slash to be Like, a very large number of
- 15:38Speaker 4: people were like, Drake is the greatest rapper of all
- 15:41Speaker 4: time and there's praise at every which way. Uh and
- 15:45Speaker 4: now difficult here to go out without people creating a
- 15:48Speaker 4: meme Like it's.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Just performed in Australia. I saw on the interwebs and
- 15:53Speaker 1: he came out and he had like a bullet ridden
- 15:57Speaker 1: hoodie on it had like bullet holes in it, and
- 15:59Speaker 1: then somehow with some rig he had smoke coming out
- 16:02Speaker 1: of the holes and that was like dramatic his statement
- 16:06Speaker 1: that he's been being shot up.
- 16:09Speaker 2: I mean, look, the same thing that he did to
- 16:11Speaker 2: everybody else is now being done to him and he
- 16:14Speaker 2: can't be mad at it.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So what you're saying is it's karma, komma coma, comma
- 16:17Speaker 1: coma community.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Yeah, in a lot of ways, it is months and
- 16:23Speaker 4: go on vacation with your millions and then come back
- 16:25Speaker 4: with a great dance track and we'll move on.
- 16:27Speaker 3: It'll be fine.
- 16:28Speaker 2: It's not like he can't right, It's not like he's
- 16:30Speaker 2: not nice with it, you know what I mean? Album.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Just take her like seven forty seven private jet somewhere
- 16:37Speaker 1: nice and go write some songs sounds.
- 16:40Speaker 2: That's what he should do.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Turn off Instagram.
- 16:44Speaker 2: It's just what the thing. The problem is is that
- 16:47Speaker 2: Kendrick is just merciless right now.
- 16:50Speaker 1: He's showing the haftime show.
- 16:52Speaker 2: Dude, the whole record that came out, the whole record
- 16:56Speaker 2: pretty much, the whole record that came out is distracks.
- 17:00Speaker 1: It's so fun that everything about me and the whole
- 17:04Speaker 1: world is singing.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Be so sad, Zach, you don't know how bad it is.
- 17:08Speaker 4: He's playing in Toronto on Father's Day. He's playing in Toronto,
- 17:13Speaker 4: Drake City on Father's Day.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I was like, it doesn't do So.
- 17:19Speaker 2: He got a song. He got a song where every
- 17:21Speaker 2: lyric in the song is from a song that Drake copied.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So it's a full fucking song with the title of
- 17:30Speaker 2: every song that Drake has ever copied.
- 17:32Speaker 1: All right, let me ask you a question, and don't
- 17:34Speaker 1: get all worked up because I don't know this music
- 17:39Speaker 1: that well. So this is coming from I'm sure there's
- 17:41Speaker 1: other people in the audience who can agree. When he
- 17:44Speaker 1: does the Super Bowl halftime show, are people going to
- 17:47Speaker 1: recognize a lot of songs.
- 17:51Speaker 2: He has a couple of them. He has a he
- 17:52Speaker 2: has quite a few of them that are actually well,
- 17:55Speaker 2: I mean, you got to be honest. He doesn't doesn't
- 17:58Speaker 2: have a catalog like Rihanna.
- 17:59Speaker 1: He doesn't have a Cariana plays. We know every fucking hit.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I don't. I don't know his music that well. Will
- 18:04Speaker 1: John Q, citizen like me who doesn't know rap that well,
- 18:07Speaker 1: know his big hits.
- 18:09Speaker 2: He's got a couple of them that everybody that were
- 18:11Speaker 2: bangers like be humble. He's got they not like us.
- 18:16Speaker 2: He's got a couple of songs with He's got like
- 18:18Speaker 2: three songs with Scizza that everybody knows from the Black
- 18:21Speaker 2: Panther soundtrack, the one that's out right now.
- 18:25Speaker 1: He's got performing with him.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I'm sure she is definitely announced it. She's
- 18:32Speaker 3: gay and she's going on tour with him. Can't wait
- 18:34Speaker 3: to see.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Well, they're they're from the same camp.
- 18:39Speaker 1: They went to camp together, theater camp. He got a
- 18:43Speaker 1: stage I'm not sure stage.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I think it was the Camp of Hard Knocks.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I didn't see him at stage door.
- 18:53Speaker 2: This dude is so fucked up. He wore a gene suitadian.
- 19:00Speaker 1: Oh do you think that was a disc because yeah, made.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Yes, he's diabolical his diabo.
- 19:10Speaker 1: I saw in the interwebs that someone said, this is
- 19:13Speaker 1: how diabolically he is. He pretended this is just people's
- 19:18Speaker 1: talking show on the internet, that he pretended to drop
- 19:21Speaker 1: his ring and had to find it after the one
- 19:23Speaker 1: reward so that it slowed down him getting to the
- 19:26Speaker 1: stage enough so that a minor with the song would
- 19:28Speaker 1: hit a minor by the time he die.
- 19:35Speaker 2: He tended to drop. Drake dropped a disc track. Drake
- 19:39Speaker 2: dropped a disc track. Six minutes and sixteen seconds later,
- 19:43Speaker 2: fucking Kendrick drops one called six sixteen or some shit
- 19:48Speaker 2: like that. If I'm correct, dude, I could be wrong
- 19:50Speaker 2: about that, but this dude is like everything that he
- 19:53Speaker 2: said in these songs, Drake is now doing in euphoria.
- 19:58Speaker 2: He said some ship and Drake's doing all of that stuff.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Now, you know, I just watched an episode of the
- 20:03Speaker 1: Office where Jim and Dwight challenge each other to a
- 20:08Speaker 1: snowball fight and Dwight takes I don't know if you've
- 20:11Speaker 1: ever seen this episode, but Dwight takes it so seriously
- 20:15Speaker 1: that everywhere he goes fucking Krazinsky's just getting pummeled by snowballs,
- 20:20Speaker 1: like it's not even funny where he's like a bloody nose.
- 20:22Speaker 1: He's like, he gets a present, he opens it. Dwight's
- 20:25Speaker 1: rigged like a fucking catapult from the present to hit
- 20:28Speaker 1: him in the face with it, and he starts like
- 20:29Speaker 1: having panic attacks because no matter where he goes, he's
- 20:33Speaker 1: gonna get fucking pegged by a snow fight. And it's like, dude,
- 20:35Speaker 1: fucking mercy, I give up. You've beaten me to a pulp.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Stop throwing these snowballs.
- 20:42Speaker 2: And this scenario Kendrick yes, And this scenario, Kendrick is Dwight.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yes, Kendrick is Dwighting snowballing. Gosh, I'm having so much
- 20:53Speaker 1: fun watching that show.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Is our guest.
- 20:57Speaker 1: That's what I was just gonna say, our guest this year.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Here we go five six, seven stories.
- 21:02Speaker 6: That show we made about a bunch of times and nurses.
- 21:07Speaker 6: Sana Jan said, he's the stories.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Neat so Yanna rad here yea here.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Sec Layla, welcome the show. I'm so glad you here.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I've been big upping your show on this podcast because
- 21:32Speaker 1: I think as as appreciated it as it must have been.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I think it's one of the greatest shows of last year.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And I just am like your publicist on this podcast,
- 21:41Speaker 1: So thank you for coming on.
- 21:43Speaker 7: That is so nice. Thank you so much. I I'm honored,
- 21:49Speaker 7: I really am.
- 21:50Speaker 8: I I feel quite out of place and not quite
- 21:52Speaker 8: sure what I'm doing here, but I'm very excited to be.
- 21:55Speaker 7: I've been fans of you guys, I think since I was.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Don't do it? Don't they do it?
- 22:02Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 22:03Speaker 2: I already feel it. Oh, I hesitated close. Yeah, I
- 22:10Speaker 2: noticed that born in nineteen ninety two. I graduated high
- 22:13Speaker 2: school in ninety two.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Yes, you don't have to tell her that Donald, you
- 22:17Speaker 1: look twenty five yourself.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I'll take it. How did this come about?
- 22:22Speaker 1: It's so amazing. And I read because Joel, that's Joelle
- 22:26Speaker 1: Monique are amazing producer, and she gives us. She gives
- 22:29Speaker 1: us like recon about you. We get recon And I
- 22:33Speaker 1: read that you Alfonso Corone didn't even ask you to audition.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 22:39Speaker 7: Yeah, the whole thing was really just a fluke.
- 22:47Speaker 8: They it was a last minute change of plan that
- 22:53Speaker 8: another actress was going.
- 22:55Speaker 7: To play this part, and they were.
- 23:01Speaker 8: Trying to find someone whose face would quite easily with
- 23:08Speaker 8: visual effects, be able to have Kate Blanchette's face put
- 23:13Speaker 8: on top of them. And they also wanted to be
- 23:16Speaker 8: an actress, so that it was a it was an
- 23:20Speaker 8: actor being able to do the scenes with Louis Partridge,
- 23:23Speaker 8: who plays opposite me in the show, And so they
- 23:28Speaker 8: wanted it to be an actor, and my name, I
- 23:32Speaker 8: guess was thrown in the ring. I'm not really sure how.
- 23:35Speaker 8: I've heard a few different stories. I heard that he
- 23:39Speaker 8: someone saw pictures of like paparazzi pictures of me in
- 23:41Speaker 8: a red bikini on.
- 23:42Speaker 7: A beach and were like, oh, she should do it.
- 23:45Speaker 1: That's the same, right, Yeah, But that's crazy because you
- 23:48Speaker 1: you had I mean, you had to obviously look like
- 23:51Speaker 1: young Kate blanchet but you also it's a very fucking
- 23:54Speaker 1: hard part.
- 23:55Speaker 7: Well, it wasn't.
- 23:58Speaker 2: It wasn't going to be my digitally put Yes, they
- 24:02Speaker 2: were just going to use your body and that's it.
- 24:05Speaker 8: Yes, And they only wanted an actor, I think, to
- 24:08Speaker 8: be able to work through the scene and and mimic
- 24:12Speaker 8: her as and you know, I don't know. And so
- 24:17Speaker 8: when I accepted the job, it was really just to
- 24:19Speaker 8: get experience working with Alfonso and on a set like that,
- 24:24Speaker 8: it wasn't going to be me and and it wasn't
- 24:29Speaker 8: until and it was one of those like Alfonso Qurn
- 24:33Speaker 8: wants to talk to you tomorrow about this movie.
- 24:37Speaker 1: There's no script calls like that, Donald wants to talk
- 24:41Speaker 1: to you.
- 24:42Speaker 2: I'm still waiting for Dave Filoni to call me and
- 24:44Speaker 2: say these things.
- 24:45Speaker 1: You know, it doesn't know who someone named.
- 24:47Speaker 2: She might know George, what about what about fig?
- 24:51Speaker 7: Yes, yes, I'm waiting for him, waiting.
- 24:53Speaker 2: She's waiting for everybody's waiting for the call.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I didn't want to be able to say. I was
- 25:00Speaker 1: so so Afonso Corone called me and he said, no,
- 25:03Speaker 1: that's that. One day that'll happen to me.
- 25:05Speaker 8: He called me, and I hadn't had a script, And
- 25:09Speaker 8: I get so nervous with these director meetings because I
- 25:11Speaker 8: never know how to prepare. I'm not good at selling myself.
- 25:15Speaker 8: You know, I'll probably suggest someone else for the job.
- 25:20Speaker 8: And so I read the book overnight and spoke to
- 25:26Speaker 8: him the next day, and he was very upset that
- 25:27Speaker 8: I'd read the book because he wanted me to hear
- 25:31Speaker 8: the story from.
- 25:32Speaker 7: His script first.
- 25:34Speaker 8: But he basically told me the whole story and then
- 25:37Speaker 8: said would you like to play this part, to which
- 25:43Speaker 8: I just immediately responded yes, And he said, okay, well
- 25:47Speaker 8: we need you to come here in three days and
- 25:49Speaker 8: we start shooting in ten days. And I went there
- 25:52Speaker 8: based on the knowledge that it would never be my.
- 25:54Speaker 7: Face, and it wasn't until I never knew that.
- 25:57Speaker 8: I landed that he sat down on opposite with me
- 26:00Speaker 8: for the first time and he was like, hmmm, how
- 26:06Speaker 8: would you feel about the first four episodes it's you
- 26:12Speaker 8: and then in the last two we do the face replacement.
- 26:17Speaker 8: I was like, great. I think the idea was and
- 26:22Speaker 8: I don't want to give.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Away, yeah, be careful the show.
- 26:26Speaker 8: The idea was that there's one side of this character
- 26:31Speaker 8: where we see her and it would be me, and
- 26:33Speaker 8: then there's another interpretation of her that we would see
- 26:37Speaker 8: and it would be Kate's face.
- 26:39Speaker 2: And I think we.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Can say without spoilers that the show just just as
- 26:43Speaker 1: a broad stroke, the stories of the past are told
- 26:47Speaker 1: from different perspectives.
- 26:48Speaker 7: We can see that, right, Yeah, for sure.
- 26:51Speaker 2: That's the one thing that caught me in the In
- 26:53Speaker 2: the first episode, I was like, all right, I'm having
- 26:56Speaker 2: trouble right now. What's going on? What's going on. And
- 26:59Speaker 2: then and because at first I was like, well, who's
- 27:03Speaker 2: who's Kate. It's Kate, the girl that went home because
- 27:06Speaker 2: the mom because the ant died. Who's what's going on?
- 27:10Speaker 2: I don't get it. And then when they show you
- 27:14Speaker 2: at the beach with the boy yeah, and he's taking pictures,
- 27:18Speaker 2: I was like, Okay, now I got about this. Now
- 27:21Speaker 2: I'm now, I'm now I'm.
- 27:22Speaker 1: That's what I really like about the show. I love
- 27:24Speaker 1: a show that has the balls to unfold slowly. I
- 27:29Speaker 1: like a show where you're obviously by the end of
- 27:30Speaker 1: the pilot you have to like connect some dots for
- 27:32Speaker 1: people are They're gonna be like, fucking, I don't get this.
- 27:34Speaker 1: But I love a show that makes you go, wait,
- 27:37Speaker 1: what's that. I don't know yet, I don't have all
- 27:39Speaker 1: the answers. And then they start giving you some clues
- 27:42Speaker 1: and you go, oh, I love that when I'm when
- 27:45Speaker 1: when when a producer, director, writer do that to me
- 27:48Speaker 1: and they give me they respect my intelligence and like
- 27:50Speaker 1: unfold something slowly?
- 27:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought at the at first I thought Kevin
- 27:56Speaker 2: Klein and Kate were the two in the beginning on
- 27:59Speaker 2: the tree. That's what I thought.
- 28:01Speaker 7: I was like, Okay, that would have been an interesting.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Well, not only that, it was like, this doesn't seem
- 28:07Speaker 2: it didn't seem it.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Seemed just like disclaimer.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it seemed like I was like, wow, it doesn't
- 28:13Speaker 2: seem too far back. I'm sitting there like he has
- 28:15Speaker 2: a Walkman on? When did Walkman's come out? You know?
- 28:18Speaker 2: And I'm trying to put piece it together and then
- 28:21Speaker 2: when it hits and it unfolds and you realize, no,
- 28:24Speaker 2: that's the dad.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Well, so the spoilers up. So that's that's just a
- 28:28Speaker 1: careful because I'm telling the whole audience to watch the show,
- 28:31Speaker 1: and I want them to be like Donald ruined that part.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I did not. Let's take a break.
- 28:35Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words. Did you
- 28:44Speaker 1: get to? So what point did you in your shooting?
- 28:47Speaker 1: Did all funds? Because as I remember, it was always
- 28:50Speaker 1: you right. He never ended up switching right.
- 28:52Speaker 8: Well, it wasn't until a year later the first time
- 28:55Speaker 8: I saw the show in full that.
- 28:59Speaker 7: He called me immediately like do you like it? Do
- 29:01Speaker 7: you like it? I was like, yeah, but when are
- 29:03Speaker 7: you doing the CGI?
- 29:05Speaker 2: Because I don't think take it away.
- 29:07Speaker 7: I'm not sure I could watch it. When that happens,
- 29:09Speaker 7: and he's like, we just decided not to do it.
- 29:14Speaker 7: I just bowled, just broke down. And why did you
- 29:17Speaker 7: break down so much?
- 29:18Speaker 2: Are you so happy such a great job on the show?
- 29:23Speaker 7: Oh I really that's huge coming from you. Thank you
- 29:26Speaker 7: so much.
- 29:27Speaker 8: It was the best best experience in my life, like
- 29:32Speaker 8: work experience.
- 29:33Speaker 1: Did you get to me Key, I mean you don't
- 29:35Speaker 1: really have scenes together obviously, Did you get to like
- 29:39Speaker 1: have any talk? I mean, I just I'm obsessed with
- 29:41Speaker 1: her as well. I think she's one of the greatest
- 29:43Speaker 1: there is. Did you get any discourse with her about
- 29:46Speaker 1: saying even mannerisms or anything like that.
- 29:50Speaker 8: We had the day I arrived was her last shoot day,
- 29:55Speaker 8: and we had for about an hour, we blocked through
- 29:59Speaker 8: a couple of them most significant scenes, and that's where
- 30:03Speaker 8: I first got to see kind of what she was
- 30:07Speaker 8: doing and how she was standing, and you know, yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 8: mannerisms and et cetera.
- 30:12Speaker 7: And then I got to see Apple. It was down
- 30:22Speaker 7: to the wire.
- 30:23Speaker 8: It was the first day of shooting and I still
- 30:24Speaker 8: hadn't seen any footage, and I'd been asking for footage
- 30:28Speaker 8: for a while, and someone knocked on my trailer with
- 30:32Speaker 8: an iPad about forty five minutes before I was supposed
- 30:35Speaker 8: to go on set.
- 30:36Speaker 7: With all the scenes, with like five scenes that she'd done.
- 30:40Speaker 8: I was like, this is amazing, But how do I
- 30:43Speaker 8: how do I like cram revision for this next? You know,
- 30:48Speaker 8: months that I'm going to be shooting this, And I thought,
- 30:51Speaker 8: you know, I can't record it on my phone.
- 30:53Speaker 7: Because Apple will know.
- 30:57Speaker 8: And so I put the iPad up and then put
- 31:01Speaker 8: my phone on selfie mode and I recorded myself mimicking
- 31:06Speaker 8: what she was doing on the iPad to kind of
- 31:11Speaker 8: have that in my possession.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's smart. There's some little mannerisms because yeah, they
- 31:18Speaker 1: might be so subtle no one's gonna clock it. But
- 31:20Speaker 1: I think that if I was directing something like that,
- 31:21Speaker 1: I'd say, let's find just a couple of little things,
- 31:25Speaker 1: because I think we all hold on to those subtle
- 31:28Speaker 1: little mannerisms in our in our lives.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yeah said sorry ahead.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Well, and Donald like for example, says that's when that's
- 31:37Speaker 1: what says, you know, and he says you know what
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm saying like every other sentence, and he's been doing
- 31:41Speaker 1: that for twenty four years. So if I was casting
- 31:45Speaker 1: young Donald, that would make sure that he says, you
- 31:47Speaker 1: know what I'm saying?
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know what I'm saying?
- 31:49Speaker 1: Is it? You know what I mean? You know what
- 31:51Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 31:51Speaker 2: I mean, you know what I'm saying. You know?
- 31:53Speaker 1: Do you know what I mean? You know what I mean?
- 31:54Speaker 2: You know what I mean? I mean?
- 31:56Speaker 8: Do you do like?
- 31:56Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying?
- 31:57Speaker 3: Do you do you like?
- 31:59Speaker 2: And he is in New York City? You know I'm
- 32:01Speaker 2: saying where you know what I'm saying came from? And
- 32:05Speaker 2: I say that ship all the time. You know what
- 32:07Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 32:08Speaker 7: I think it can be. It's a bit of an
- 32:10Speaker 7: English thing too, to be like, do you know what
- 32:12Speaker 7: I mean? Do you mean?
- 32:13Speaker 2: I mean? Do not mean?
- 32:15Speaker 7: My boyfriend makes fun of me all the time. And
- 32:17Speaker 7: I was like, no, do you know what I mean?
- 32:18Speaker 7: He's like, do you know what I mean? Yeah?
- 32:21Speaker 1: I mean you are your father? For those who don't know,
- 32:25Speaker 1: is the legendary thespian Vincent Inoffrio. I love that and
- 32:31Speaker 1: he's a legend. Did you grow up in where'd you
- 32:35Speaker 1: grow up? Because you have actually have an English accent obviously,
- 32:38Speaker 1: but where did you? But where'd you grow up?
- 32:41Speaker 8: Until about eight or nine, it was between England and Australia.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Wait a second, your dad's Vincent Diinofrio.
- 32:51Speaker 1: You didn't know that.
- 32:52Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Well, you should have known that.
- 32:58Speaker 2: I need to do better research.
- 33:00Speaker 7: Yeah, I love that you didn't know it.
- 33:03Speaker 8: It's I spend a lot of my life getting very
- 33:07Speaker 8: excited when people find out later on, or like when
- 33:12Speaker 8: I'm on a job and it takes them two months
- 33:14Speaker 8: to figure it out.
- 33:15Speaker 7: I think that's like my mission, you know. So I
- 33:17Speaker 7: love that. That's great.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Well, I knew it, and I knew and I think
- 33:22Speaker 1: he's one of the greatest actors.
- 33:25Speaker 2: So I was created. That's how you know who fig is.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Yes, you're gonna like another aspect if if I'm not
- 33:35Speaker 1: mistaken Donald, You're gonna like this aspect again. In my
- 33:39Speaker 1: recon on you that Joelle gave me, you and your
- 33:42Speaker 1: family do an annual Disney World or Land trip.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Annual is an understatement.
- 33:50Speaker 1: How many times a year do you go to Disneyland
- 33:52Speaker 1: or World.
- 33:53Speaker 7: I've been known to go.
- 33:56Speaker 8: I think I had a year recently where it was
- 33:59Speaker 8: about four or five times, but that was between that
- 34:02Speaker 8: was either Disneyland or Disney World.
- 34:04Speaker 2: That language I got you, well, not anymore, not as
- 34:10Speaker 2: much as I used to. Now it's only once a
- 34:11Speaker 2: year because that's what they allow. But back in the
- 34:14Speaker 2: day when Scrubs was on, tell.
- 34:15Speaker 1: That, oh I was talking about Wait wait, first of all,
- 34:20Speaker 1: they oh, I see he's talking about being getting the
- 34:22Speaker 1: VIP guy.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, all right. Sorry. So back in the day
- 34:26Speaker 2: when I was doing Scrubs though, when we were doing Scrubs,
- 34:29Speaker 2: I was at Disneyland probably twice a month for them
- 34:35Speaker 2: for the year, Like I was going so much. I remember,
- 34:39Speaker 2: I was. Look. At first, they used to make me
- 34:41Speaker 2: do certain things like I have to you know, uh,
- 34:46Speaker 2: you know, well, no, not take pictures. I'd have to
- 34:48Speaker 2: go and sit down with a bunch of people and
- 34:50Speaker 2: they would interview me and we would talk shit about
- 34:53Speaker 2: shows that I was on.
- 34:54Speaker 1: It was like, really, when I've done it like that,
- 34:56Speaker 1: you just have to take a picture with mini moles.
- 34:58Speaker 2: No, that was bat And I'm talking about like before
- 35:00Speaker 2: you go, you want to go to Disneyland, all right,
- 35:02Speaker 2: do this press junket for me and I'll get you tickets,
- 35:05Speaker 2: all right. Bet That's how it started. Then it became
- 35:08Speaker 2: they gave me the they gave me the offices number
- 35:11Speaker 2: at the because I used all the NBC's tickets, right,
- 35:14Speaker 2: and so they're like, listen, we'll just give you the
- 35:16Speaker 2: number to Disneyland. And I started calling the publicists at
- 35:19Speaker 2: Disneyland and I would call like every other week and
- 35:22Speaker 2: be like, Hey, what's up? And I lost this ship
- 35:25Speaker 2: because this is how I lost it? You abused it. No,
- 35:28Speaker 2: I bought my buddy. I bought the sun I did.
- 35:32Speaker 2: I bought my buddy, Kevin Jordan. And Kevin Jordan said
- 35:35Speaker 2: to him, and I don't know if I've told this
- 35:37Speaker 2: story before, but we get to Disneyland. He's like, look,
- 35:40Speaker 2: no matter what, I gotta take a picture with Pluto.
- 35:45Speaker 2: And I'm like, I can make that happen, bro, I
- 35:47Speaker 2: can make that happen. I don't know. You gotta make
- 35:55Speaker 2: this happen for me. And I was like all right.
- 35:57Speaker 2: I was like, what kind of Pluto do you want?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Do you want Pluto dressed up in a costume or
- 36:01Speaker 2: do you want Pluto just Pluto to dog? And he's like,
- 36:03Speaker 2: I just want Pluto to dog. You gotta get it.
- 36:06Speaker 2: But this is my childhood dream. And I'm like, all
- 36:10Speaker 2: I bet so I go to the Guide, yo, listen,
- 36:13Speaker 2: it's his childhood dream to take a picture with Pluto.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Can we make this happen?
- 36:17Speaker 1: He probably had no one in the Pluto costs and
- 36:18Speaker 1: we're like, Jim, you got to come in here.
- 36:19Speaker 2: They were like, so they're like, we'll see what we
- 36:24Speaker 2: can do. Somewhere along the line, they make this shit
- 36:29Speaker 2: happen and they surprise us, and out of nowhere here
- 36:32Speaker 2: comes Pluto to dog and I'm like, holy shit, Kevin,
- 36:36Speaker 2: look it's Pluto. And he goes, oh my god, can
- 36:39Speaker 2: we take this picture? And I'm like, let's take this picture, Kevin.
- 36:43Speaker 2: So we get the cameras ready. The fucking park has
- 36:47Speaker 2: the camera person there too, right.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Right right. They want a picture of Donald Faison and Pluto.
- 36:52Speaker 2: I'm not in the picture with Pluto. It's Kevin and Pluto.
- 36:54Speaker 1: They don't care about Kevin.
- 36:56Speaker 2: They're making this hat. It's like a you know, a
- 36:59Speaker 2: dream is a wish your heart mags. His wish is
- 37:02Speaker 2: coming true?
- 37:03Speaker 4: Right.
- 37:05Speaker 2: He gets next to Pluto.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Oh no, what happens?
- 37:08Speaker 2: He picks Pluto up.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Oh you can't pick Pluto up.
- 37:18Speaker 2: We're all taking pictures. He's like, you're ready, and we're
- 37:20Speaker 2: taking pictures as he's doing this. Didn't like that dude,
- 37:24Speaker 2: the mask almost falls off. Pluto's holding onto the mask
- 37:27Speaker 2: on his head like this, Yo, dude, I didn't at
- 37:31Speaker 2: this point, I didn't know the park hat security like that.
- 37:33Speaker 2: Out of no where, these motherfuckers came out of nowhere
- 37:36Speaker 2: scrambling on us. I wasn't allowed back at Disneyland for
- 37:40Speaker 2: over a year because of this banned.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Okay, good to good to know, Leyla, don't pick up
- 37:46Speaker 1: Pluto when you.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Let's take a break.
- 37:50Speaker 1: We'll be right back after these fine words?
- 37:59Speaker 2: Are you?
- 38:00Speaker 7: This is where all have you beat?
- 38:03Speaker 2: Are you a member? I'm not. That shit is so explosive.
- 38:08Speaker 2: I want to I had somebody come up to me
- 38:10Speaker 2: and be like Donald, if you want and you got,
- 38:11Speaker 2: you can get in. But this is what it's going
- 38:13Speaker 2: to cost you.
- 38:13Speaker 1: We've never had anyone who knew, who knew the inside
- 38:16Speaker 1: what happens.
- 38:17Speaker 7: Yeah, oh my gosh, if I talk about.
- 38:19Speaker 1: It, you're not allowed to talk about it.
- 38:21Speaker 7: If they kick me out.
- 38:24Speaker 8: There are It's not I don't think it's a secret
- 38:26Speaker 8: that there are Disney World and at Disneyland, but you
- 38:30Speaker 8: can only be a Club thirty three member at one
- 38:32Speaker 8: or the other. So we are Club thirty three members
- 38:34Speaker 8: at Disney World and in each park Animal Kingdom appcod
- 38:40Speaker 8: Magic Kingdom, there is a little club restaurant that's very hidden.
- 38:47Speaker 8: You wouldn't really notice it unless you knew that it
- 38:49Speaker 8: was there, because it's kind of a door that you
- 38:51Speaker 8: maybe thought wasn't really a door or something like that.
- 38:54Speaker 8: But there's a little symbol at the outside with a
- 38:57Speaker 8: little Mickey face, and you put your membership card up
- 39:00Speaker 8: against the door. You wait a few seconds for them
- 39:05Speaker 8: to decide if they want to let you in or
- 39:08Speaker 8: and then some kind of thing opens and you go
- 39:10Speaker 8: up and it's each one is themed different.
- 39:13Speaker 7: Our favorite one is the Animal Kingdom one, and there's
- 39:16Speaker 7: like a special snack and you can just get a
- 39:18Speaker 7: bit drunk and like.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It's pretty great.
- 39:22Speaker 2: I hear. The food is like top different food.
- 39:26Speaker 7: Yep, it's different food.
- 39:27Speaker 8: They have a snack you can bring up to three people,
- 39:34Speaker 8: but you can kind of.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Bring I'm just saying this much. It costs money, dude.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Well you have some money.
- 39:42Speaker 2: I do now I didn't at the time.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Well now I think you could afford it.
- 39:47Speaker 2: Now I can. You need to carpet your and it
- 39:49Speaker 2: comes it comes with tickets too days.
- 39:52Speaker 8: It comes with tickets and also the VIP days like
- 39:57Speaker 8: a certain allotment of them, and you also get like
- 40:00Speaker 8: God is such a nerd about it. So when they're
- 40:03Speaker 8: opening new rides sometimes they only open them for members
- 40:07Speaker 8: for like two weeks. So for two weeks you can
- 40:09Speaker 8: be the first people they get to ride the rights.
- 40:13Speaker 2: I do have, I do have. I do have one
- 40:16Speaker 2: thing that you probably I was the first person of
- 40:20Speaker 2: me and and I was the first person to fly
- 40:24Speaker 2: the Millennium Falcon. That's cool, that's cool.
- 40:28Speaker 7: We've not done a first person thing.
- 40:31Speaker 8: Have you been though to at Epcot the Guardians of
- 40:36Speaker 8: the Galaxy ride?
- 40:38Speaker 2: I have not. But the one, the one at Disneyland.
- 40:40Speaker 8: Is different, different things. It's not a tower of turn.
- 40:44Speaker 8: This is a roller coaster that beats all roller coasters.
- 40:47Speaker 8: It's the best, most smoothest, craziest, funnest, Like we'll do
- 40:51Speaker 8: it five times in a row, and it's the most
- 40:54Speaker 8: amazing ride that you'll ever go on. Please you have
- 40:56Speaker 8: to just go next week to the guard.
- 41:01Speaker 2: Do you remember do you remember the what was the
- 41:05Speaker 2: rock and Broad the Aerosmith?
- 41:07Speaker 7: Yeah, they're changing it to such a geek.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I love this.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I want to. I kind of want to Trivia in.
- 41:18Speaker 7: One Direction or something. I feel like.
- 41:20Speaker 2: They're changing it to the one direction ride, like.
- 41:23Speaker 7: They're changing it to something that I was disappointed in.
- 41:30Speaker 4: The Rockular Coaster starring Aerosmith. Hollywood is being rethmed to
- 41:34Speaker 4: the Muppets.
- 41:35Speaker 7: Oh well, that's actually better.
- 41:38Speaker 2: That's new.
- 41:39Speaker 7: That's new information that I didn't have.
- 41:41Speaker 8: But there, I guarantee it was something else before they
- 41:46Speaker 8: were There's been rumors for like years.
- 41:48Speaker 7: Of which band they were going to change it too.
- 41:52Speaker 2: Anyway, you don't like the Guardians of the Galaxy at
- 41:54Speaker 2: Disney Way, No I do.
- 41:55Speaker 7: I do.
- 41:56Speaker 2: I do.
- 41:56Speaker 7: It's just it's that's Tower of Terror, you know.
- 41:58Speaker 1: And when you go, you go with your whole family,
- 42:01Speaker 1: like your dad goes.
- 42:02Speaker 7: Sometimes it's hard. My brother's.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Vincent Andofrio on like Small World.
- 42:09Speaker 8: Oh gosh, that's been our jam. That was what our
- 42:12Speaker 8: relationship was like. Not Small World, by the.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Way, but he loves it as much as you do.
- 42:17Speaker 8: Obviously, growing up, the two of before my brothers were born,
- 42:21Speaker 8: the two of them before he was Vincent Andofria, we
- 42:24Speaker 8: would go just the two of us between like when
- 42:27Speaker 8: I was two and seven, and that would be the
- 42:30Speaker 8: time I would see my dad, like that was our
- 42:32Speaker 8: whole relationship.
- 42:33Speaker 7: We'd go, we'd wait in line, we get the fast pass.
- 42:35Speaker 7: I'd be on his shoulders, like we'd spend the whole day.
- 42:38Speaker 7: He queued up.
- 42:39Speaker 8: He always tells the story that he queued up for
- 42:40Speaker 8: like four hours because I had to get Ariel's autograph,
- 42:44Speaker 8: and it was like.
- 42:45Speaker 7: That was that. It's sometimes we go without my brothers
- 42:50Speaker 7: just as a little like that.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't tell the land is an adult park.
- 42:57Speaker 2: It's not. It's kids can come to me just to
- 42:59Speaker 2: watch it.
- 43:00Speaker 1: I'd be so happy, Like I'm not as into it
- 43:02Speaker 1: as Donald is, but I go just because it's like
- 43:04Speaker 1: and we've been with Joel and Daniel too, but I
- 43:07Speaker 1: just I like going just to watch my friend be
- 43:10Speaker 1: in his happy place.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Kids ruin it, and you know what else ruins you
- 43:15Speaker 2: know what else ruins Disneyland. Alcohol. I used to think,
- 43:18Speaker 2: you know what, I'm gonna go to Disneyland with a
- 43:20Speaker 2: nice little buzz. That shit fucks you up. I got
- 43:23Speaker 2: drunk once in Disneyland and was like, it was my
- 43:26Speaker 2: daughter's birthday. I'll never forget this Goofy. I did not
- 43:29Speaker 2: miss Schoofy, but I got drunk at Disneyland, and fucking
- 43:33Speaker 2: we went on the Incredit Coaster and my daughter was like,
- 43:36Speaker 2: let's do it again. And I was so drunk that
- 43:41Speaker 2: we went home a little earlier than we were supposed
- 43:44Speaker 2: to see the fireworks.
- 43:45Speaker 1: But I go with your kids, it's not nearly as fun.
- 43:48Speaker 1: We can't move, we can't we can't bang out with
- 43:50Speaker 1: all the rides they got them.
- 43:52Speaker 2: No you gotta.
- 43:53Speaker 8: I'm not so fun at Disney because I'm like, I'm
- 43:56Speaker 8: always the organizer making sure that we hit everything, and
- 43:59Speaker 8: so I like jump between like mission mode and five
- 44:04Speaker 8: year old girl.
- 44:05Speaker 7: But it's all about the gummies at Disney.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Well, I haven't done that. I haven't done theummies.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I was going to ride. If you're the new it
- 44:25Speaker 3: was formerly, did you like it?
- 44:28Speaker 6: We have?
- 44:30Speaker 8: I was never Tiana was just after my kind of childhood,
- 44:37Speaker 8: I think. And I'm very glad that they changed that
- 44:41Speaker 8: ride because obviously it.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Was racist, very But did you ever see Southey.
- 44:53Speaker 8: When we all when we all became like hip to
- 44:55Speaker 8: it every time? And it's a shame because I loved
- 44:57Speaker 8: that ride as a kid, and there's those carrot brier
- 44:59Speaker 8: rabbits and all of that, and you just like get
- 45:01Speaker 8: to know them song. Yeah, and then you're kind of
- 45:05Speaker 8: going on it as a grown up, like, yeah, I
- 45:09Speaker 8: don't feel like right about enjoying this anymore. Yeah, we
- 45:16Speaker 8: were on it once and I think it malfunctioned. This
- 45:19Speaker 8: was a big family trip where there was twenty of us.
- 45:22Speaker 8: We had to have like two guides and like split.
- 45:24Speaker 8: It was a huge reunion and we got stuck right
- 45:28Speaker 8: where the vultures are at the top, right before you
- 45:31Speaker 8: splash down, and the vultures, I feel like, started wigging
- 45:35Speaker 8: out a little bit, like they were saying things that
- 45:39Speaker 8: we were like, did they Just like it felt like
- 45:41Speaker 8: the guys were having a good time behind the microphones.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Like.
- 45:46Speaker 7: Talking about stuff that. Yeah, I feel like it malfunctioned
- 45:50Speaker 7: a little bit.
- 45:51Speaker 2: They were like, we're going to lose this ride anyway,
- 45:52Speaker 2: so let's just give it one last.
- 45:56Speaker 8: It was already a bit like let's find you're a
- 45:59Speaker 8: happy play, you know, and so then it just Yeah.
- 46:05Speaker 1: I watched this. I went down this wormhole about the
- 46:08Speaker 1: Star Wars hotel in uh in Florida and Disney.
- 46:14Speaker 7: It was open for like two years in the scar.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Right, but this girl who does funny videos about theme
- 46:20Speaker 1: parks I forgot her name, but she did like an
- 46:24Speaker 1: hour and a half two hour video where she went
- 46:27Speaker 1: and stayed at the hotel and then she did a
- 46:30Speaker 1: whole hilarious report on her experience staying in the hotel. Joell,
- 46:36Speaker 1: maybe you can find it for me or the name
- 46:37Speaker 1: of it. It was like if you put in YouTube,
- 46:40Speaker 1: maybe like review of Star Wars hotel by a girl.
- 46:44Speaker 1: She's this really funny YouTuber. Anyway, it was just crazy
- 46:48Speaker 1: that the her and it failed obviously because it was
- 46:51Speaker 1: too expensive, and you know, but we contributed.
- 46:56Speaker 8: We actually we spent an evening at Disney because we'll
- 46:59Speaker 8: go to the park during the day and then we'll
- 47:01Speaker 8: all hang out in a hotel room and just like
- 47:02Speaker 8: goof off and and you know, cry, laughing with each other.
- 47:07Speaker 7: And my brother, my my he.
- 47:10Speaker 8: Is obsessed with Star Wars and he really wanted to
- 47:12Speaker 8: go to the hotel, and none of us, like my
- 47:15Speaker 8: dad and I were like, there's no way, like.
- 47:17Speaker 9: Because you also have to wear the clothes and stuff,
- 47:19Speaker 9: and the idea that my dad and I were going
- 47:21Speaker 9: to go and like to dress off as like a
- 47:24Speaker 9: Sith lord or something like, we're just there's no way.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Like you you you called what do you call it?
- 47:30Speaker 1: When you larp? You like you yeah, you larp you
- 47:34Speaker 1: you like.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's real LARPing, man, You're not getting into
- 47:38Speaker 2: blaster battles with stormtroopers and.
- 47:42Speaker 7: It happened. No, dude. They wake you up, like we
- 47:45Speaker 7: spoke to this guy on the phone for so long.
- 47:48Speaker 8: They wake you up in night and they'll be like,
- 47:51Speaker 8: there's trouble in the engine room and you.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Got and and you're on your own quest. Everyone's on there,
- 47:57Speaker 1: everyone's on there. It's your adventure. I know because I
- 48:00Speaker 1: watched this girl's whole video because it was so funny.
- 48:02Speaker 1: But like you're on your own choosier adventure ride and
- 48:05Speaker 1: you can like as the as the characters are walking around,
- 48:08Speaker 1: you can talk to them be like hey, I heard
- 48:10Speaker 1: something's going on the engine room, and they'll give you
- 48:12Speaker 1: clues and ship and like everyone has their own like quest. Yeah.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Yeah. I wouldn't want to get into a ward. Yeah,
- 48:19Speaker 2: well you find it.
- 48:24Speaker 1: I don't see them the chat chat.
- 48:27Speaker 3: I'll put it in the main chat.
- 48:28Speaker 2: I would want to get into a war. I would
- 48:30Speaker 2: want a war that start a Star Wars to start
- 48:33Speaker 2: at the Star Wars Hotel, and I would want to be,
- 48:37Speaker 2: you know, the Kiro of the Rebellion or there.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I just want to shout out this video for people
- 48:46Speaker 1: that are curious because I thought I was going to
- 48:48Speaker 1: watch ten minutes of it. Sorry, I watched the whole
- 48:52Speaker 1: thing and I'm not even a mega Disney fan like
- 48:54Speaker 1: these guys. It's called The Spectacular Failure of the Star
- 48:57Speaker 1: Wars Hotel and it's by Jenny Kelson, who makes very
- 49:00Speaker 1: funny videos. By the way, but I gotta tell you
- 49:03Speaker 1: I was wrong. It's four hours long.
- 49:05Speaker 2: You watched the whole thing.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I think I skipped a couple of things, but it's
- 49:09Speaker 1: one of those things. The girl, the woman is so
- 49:11Speaker 1: good at making a video that you just when you're like,
- 49:13Speaker 1: okay enough, she says something funny and you just keep
- 49:15Speaker 1: watching it. Yeah. It's like it's like it's a four
- 49:19Speaker 1: hour review of her experience staying at the Disneyland the
- 49:24Speaker 1: Star Wars Hotel.
- 49:25Speaker 2: So did you guys ever make it? Did you guys go?
- 49:27Speaker 7: No? No way. He also wants us to go on
- 49:30Speaker 7: a cruise, which isn't gonna happen.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Like this surprise.
- 49:34Speaker 1: You don't go on a cruise, you probably wouldn't be
- 49:35Speaker 1: bothered too much.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Maybe you know. Ever since that COVID shit happened on
- 49:39Speaker 2: the cruise ships and stuff, I have no desire to.
- 49:43Speaker 2: But you're a big.
- 49:44Speaker 7: Star Wars fan. I thought you would have done the
- 49:47Speaker 7: Star Wars. Nah.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I am a huge Star Wars fan, but that shit
- 49:51Speaker 2: was phobic and I have no interest in being Look,
- 49:57Speaker 2: I might be a Star Wars fan, but I don't
- 49:59Speaker 2: like people, you know, I don't like hanging out with him.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Last topic and we'll let you go, but I want
- 50:07Speaker 1: to talk. Are you a Knicks fan?
- 50:09Speaker 7: Yeah, big Knicks fan.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I saw on your Instagram that you were enjoying uh
- 50:16Speaker 1: some MSG and I thought you and Donald might bond
- 50:19Speaker 1: over that as well, because that's his team.
- 50:21Speaker 2: We did not make one trade. Well, we did trade.
- 50:23Speaker 2: We traded for for We traded somebody who didn't play
- 50:26Speaker 2: at all this trade deadline. I did not know you
- 50:29Speaker 2: were a Knick fan.
- 50:31Speaker 8: Well, look, I don't know about I'm not like in
- 50:34Speaker 8: with the trades and stuff. My boyfriend always makes fun
- 50:36Speaker 8: of me because he's like, okay, so name five players
- 50:39Speaker 8: and I'm like, I can do it.
- 50:41Speaker 2: You can, Josh hart O G.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I've been going to MSG two of all right, Donald,
- 50:53Speaker 1: I don't know anything either, but I have so much
- 50:55Speaker 1: fun there both the Knicks.
- 50:58Speaker 7: I love it so much. I love it so so much.
- 51:01Speaker 8: I would go every if I ever knew that I
- 51:04Speaker 8: had tickets, I would just go. And there's something I
- 51:09Speaker 8: love about just watching American sports.
