- 0:00Speaker 1: When were you this week? You was in Calgary? You
- 0:02Speaker 1: see my shirt? I saw it. I thought you was
- 0:04Speaker 1: a blood, but then I realized this is the Calgary. Yeah,
- 0:11Speaker 1: I was with the Calgary Calgary soccer team. Okay. But, yeah,
- 0:17Speaker 1: I got a chance to meet the guys, talk to them.
- 0:20Speaker 1: You know, they're doing really well right now. They're actually
- 0:22Speaker 1: leading in their division right now. So they had a game.
- 0:25Speaker 1: um over the weekend i think i had a game
- 0:27Speaker 1: on sunday so i spoke to him on saturday nice
- 0:29Speaker 1: but yeah it was uh it was a good time
- 0:31Speaker 1: the weather is pretty chilly around there right now you
- 0:35Speaker 1: didn't just wear that you had a jacket on no
- 0:36Speaker 1: no yeah no they they made this for me uh
- 0:39Speaker 1: but yeah i got my name on the back everything
- 0:42Speaker 1: but yeah man i that was my first time uh
- 0:44Speaker 1: in calgary um i was up there for the masters
- 0:46Speaker 1: which is horse show jumping uh equestrian right man those
- 0:52Speaker 1: those horses bro beautiful those are real athletes strength i
- 0:57Speaker 1: mean you look at them up close bro you's like
- 1:00Speaker 1: man they're like 1200 pounds you're like they could kill
- 1:03Speaker 1: me what yeah my coach when he when i played
- 1:08Speaker 1: i really understood what he was saying it really came
- 1:11Speaker 1: full circle because being around those horses these are racehorse
- 1:15Speaker 1: like million dollar horses and the riders they're considered the
- 1:19Speaker 1: athletes you know they the They're phenomenal at getting these
- 1:22Speaker 1: horses to jump over these jumps. But my coach, when
- 1:26Speaker 1: I played before every game, and then even after games,
- 1:29Speaker 1: he would recap. He's like, man, he's like, T, he said,
- 1:33Speaker 1: you're my horse. He's like, I'll ride with you any day.
- 1:37Speaker 1: That came full circle because I understood what he meant.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Because when you're on those horses and there's a lot
- 1:43Speaker 1: of demand for those horses, those jockeys, those riders when
- 1:46Speaker 1: they're on there, bro, it's nothing but pure strength, power,
- 1:52Speaker 1: Watching the stride and gallops, because I used to run
- 1:54Speaker 1: like a horse. You know what I mean? He's like, yeah,
- 1:56Speaker 1: you're my work horse. He's like, I'll ride with you
- 1:59Speaker 1: any day of the week. If you've never been to
- 2:01Speaker 1: Spruce Meadows, go to the Masters. Show horse jumping. It
- 2:05Speaker 1: is phenomenal. All right, well, y'all, you are watching Get
- 2:07Speaker 1: to the Point with Chris and T.O.
- 2:09Speaker 2: And as you can see, my co-host is worldwide.
- 2:13Speaker 1: With his spirit.
- 2:25Speaker 2: This is a football show sometimes, right? So let's talk
- 2:28Speaker 2: about Patriots. Got their ass handed to them by the Seahawks.
- 2:34Speaker 2: I don't know if it was handed to them. Okay,
- 2:36Speaker 2: they lost by three.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Say handed to them, that's a stretch. Let's
- 2:41Speaker 1: talk about Drake May. He was 23 for 33, 178 yards.
- 2:46Speaker 1: He had a touchdown and three interceptions, which all came
- 2:51Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter. which you don't want to have. No,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you don't. And again, obviously, these two played in the
- 2:58Speaker 1: Super Bowl last year. Drake May, injured last year, really
- 3:05Speaker 1: didn't get to play like he wanted to. But if
- 3:09Speaker 1: you think about him being the quarterback, and obviously he's
- 3:13Speaker 1: the new face of the New England Patriots. Sure. I mean,
- 3:15Speaker 1: he has some big shoes to fill. Huge. Tom Brady
- 3:19Speaker 1: being there, multiple championships. There's a lot of pressure there
- 3:23Speaker 1: in itself. But, again, coming off an injury last year,
- 3:26Speaker 1: coming into this season, you're trying to get your footing,
- 3:28Speaker 1: your timing. And the word timing is going to come
- 3:31Speaker 1: up a number of times in this segment, and I'm
- 3:34Speaker 1: going to tell you why. Obviously, with Drake May, obviously
- 3:37Speaker 1: you don't want to have interceptions. You can have interceptions,
- 3:41Speaker 1: but not three in the most inopportune time of the game.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Well, three at any time is bad, but just to
- 3:48Speaker 2: have it happen right as you're trying to.
- 3:52Speaker 1: To win. Right, in the fourth quarter? Yeah, yeah, you
- 3:54Speaker 1: don't want to have that because obviously you're eliminating your
- 3:56Speaker 1: chances of obviously winning and scoring points. Is Drake May
- 4:01Speaker 1: the guy or is he not the guy? Well, I mean, honestly,
- 4:05Speaker 1: this is the first game of the season. And again,
- 4:07Speaker 1: like I said, I've already kind of... I know people
- 4:09Speaker 1: are quick to judge. He's now the new Tom Brady.
- 4:11Speaker 1: He's now the new Tom Brady. He's the face of
- 4:16Speaker 1: the franchise. Playing preseason games, you're not going to get
- 4:19Speaker 1: You're not going to get full go with all the guys.
- 4:22Speaker 1: So the timing is going to be off everything. And again,
- 4:25Speaker 1: like I said, going into the fourth quarter and you're
- 4:28Speaker 1: trying to win a game and you're behind, you've got
- 4:30Speaker 1: to think everything is sped up. He hasn't gotten his footing.
- 4:35Speaker 1: He hasn't gotten his timing down. Is he the face
- 4:38Speaker 1: of the franchise? Absolutely. To see what he did last
- 4:41Speaker 1: year to get them to the Super Bowl, I mean,
- 4:43Speaker 1: is remarkable in his first year or first or second year.
- 4:46Speaker 1: So I will definitely say that he is the guy.
- 4:52Speaker 1: I think it's too early to tell. Give me a
- 4:54Speaker 1: few games. Let's get him to like week eight and
- 4:57Speaker 1: see how he unfolds. But I think this is, like
- 4:59Speaker 1: I said, these things right here can be corrected. Okay. Bears-Panthers, 59-37.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That's like a basketball score. Man, this was a good game.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I mean, 31-31 at halftime. Yeah. And then the final score,
- 5:13Speaker 1: what was the final score? 59 to 37. So that
- 5:16Speaker 1: means the Panthers only scored, what, six points in the
- 5:19Speaker 1: second half? Exactly. So what does that say? Especially at halftime,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you got to think about, like, who played good, who
- 5:26Speaker 1: didn't play well. Well, let's talk about that now. Chicago,
- 5:28Speaker 1: they generate over 552 yards. Double. Caleb had 334 and
- 5:34Speaker 1: four touchdowns. The only thing that he didn't do in
- 5:38Speaker 1: this game was chip his nails. You know what I mean?
- 5:42Speaker 1: He said it this time. This is the Caleb Williams
- 5:45Speaker 1: that I think everybody was anticipating coming from USC. They
- 5:49Speaker 1: know what he can do with his feet. But now
- 5:52Speaker 1: to do it and see it in early going of
- 5:56Speaker 1: the season, aired out 334 yards. I mean, four touchdowns,
- 6:00Speaker 1: no interceptions. This is the Bears that I think that
- 6:03Speaker 1: they were hoping for. To be quite honest, this is
- 6:07Speaker 1: Caleb really picking up from last year because last year,
- 6:10Speaker 1: They played the Rams in the playoff. Honestly, they probably
- 6:12Speaker 1: should have beat them. Going into the– at the end
- 6:17Speaker 1: of that game, they actually– Caleb made a hell of
- 6:20Speaker 1: a play. Running backwards. It looked like he closed his
- 6:23Speaker 1: eyes and threw it. What? I mean, I actually saw
- 6:26Speaker 1: the end of this game. Threw it. Threw a touchdown.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Right in that corner. Bow. Overtime. They should have won
- 6:33Speaker 1: the game. DJ Moore, I remember this drive. DJ Moore
- 6:37Speaker 1: had an over route. Caleb anticipated DJ Moore going to
- 6:41Speaker 1: the sideline. That's exactly what he's supposed to do. He
- 6:43Speaker 1: threw the ball where it's supposed to be. DJ Moore
- 6:46Speaker 1: goes behind the safety. You don't go behind the safety.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I saw that. Interception, Rams, they go down, kick the ball,
- 6:54Speaker 1: kick a field goal, they lose. The Rams win 20-17.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And obviously, like I said, this was, I mean, the
- 7:00Speaker 1: way that the Chicago Bears were playing toward the end
- 7:02Speaker 1: of the season, how hot I think Caleb was starting
- 7:05Speaker 1: to play, this is really... what we are looking and
- 7:09Speaker 1: expecting them to play from Caleb Williams.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Now, was this a breakout performance, or is this a
- 7:14Speaker 2: warning to the rest of the NFC?
- 7:15Speaker 1: No, this is definitely a warning. This is definitely like,
- 7:18Speaker 1: get ready. But, yeah, if he can piggyback on this,
- 7:22Speaker 1: build on this game right here, which I think they
- 7:24Speaker 1: will coming into this week's game, they're going to be great. Now,
- 7:28Speaker 1: that 59 points is great. Yeah. Okay, but they let up,
- 7:32Speaker 1: they gave up 37 points. That means the offense is great.
- 7:35Speaker 1: That means the defense. No, no. First of all, you
- 7:38Speaker 1: got to listen to what you said. It was 31
- 7:41Speaker 1: to 31 at halftime. Right. They only allowed six points.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So there were some adjustments made. Definitely some halftime adjustments.
- 7:52Speaker 1: But to hold a team to six points an entire half,
- 7:56Speaker 1: that bodes well for the Chicago Bears. Okay.
- 8:00Speaker 2: All right, one of your old teams, the Bills and
- 8:01Speaker 2: the Texans. Bills won 36-31. I think you picked this.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt. Bills over the Texans. Josh Allen, obviously,
- 8:13Speaker 1: you know, disappointing few years, especially with, you know, I
- 8:18Speaker 1: think last year if they had a window opening for
- 8:21Speaker 1: them to win the Super Bowl was last year with
- 8:23Speaker 1: the Chiefs not being in it. Nor here nor there.
- 8:25Speaker 1: This is a new year. You obviously want to start
- 8:27Speaker 1: the season off on the right foot. And then obviously,
- 8:30Speaker 1: as the saying goes, it's not how you start, it's
- 8:32Speaker 1: how you finish. But obviously, I think out of these
- 8:35Speaker 1: two quarterbacks, C.J. Stroud, Josh Allen, a lot is riding
- 8:39Speaker 1: on the season for the Buffalo Bills. Because again, Josh
- 8:43Speaker 1: Allen has had a lot of disappointing seasons being on
- 8:48Speaker 1: the cusp of winning the Super Bowl. Well, that last
- 8:50Speaker 1: fourth quarter was great. He marched down the field 96 yards.
- 8:54Speaker 1: 96 yards. That's fantastic. I mean, that shows you the experience.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It shows you the type of player he is, the
- 8:59Speaker 1: caliber of player he is, that they go 96 yards
- 9:02Speaker 1: to go in and put their team ahead. And then, again,
- 9:06Speaker 1: you look at C.J. Stroud. I mean, he may be
- 9:10Speaker 1: on the hot seat this year. I mean, he's looked
- 9:12Speaker 1: to be the quarterback of the future for the Houston Texans,
- 9:16Speaker 1: or is he? Hasn't played particularly well the last couple
- 9:19Speaker 1: of seasons, especially in the playoffs. This is kind of
- 9:22Speaker 1: like a, I don't know, maybe a make or break
- 9:25Speaker 1: season for them. But again, this is the first game
- 9:28Speaker 1: out the gate. Like I said, I didn't foresee them winning,
- 9:31Speaker 1: which is obviously, you know, my pick host to be true,
- 9:34Speaker 1: Buffalo Bills. Let's go, Bills Mafia. My daughter's favorite team,
- 9:38Speaker 1: the Baltimore Ravens. All you got to say is your
- 9:40Speaker 1: daughter's favorite team. I got to say it every time. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens. What's your daughter's name? Bella. Bella. Bella. What's up, Bella?
- 9:47Speaker 1: We're about to talk about your dad's, you and your
- 9:50Speaker 1: dad's favorite team. I'm going to say both of y'all. Yes,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I guess so. 41-23. Lamar. He's so dope. Cold-blooded. Who
- 10:02Speaker 1: does he remind you of? Michael Vick. Absolutely. Everybody says it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: With his ability to obviously extend plays, obviously he wants,
- 10:11Speaker 1: and I think a lot of people want him to
- 10:13Speaker 1: stay in the pocket, throw the ball down the field.
- 10:17Speaker 1: He's done that. He's improved that. he's shown that now
- 10:20Speaker 1: he has to really put all those things together to
- 10:23Speaker 1: know when to run when not to run and when
- 10:25Speaker 1: to put that ball out there and when he doesn't
- 10:28Speaker 1: need to make any plays all you gotta do is
- 10:30Speaker 1: hand it off hand it off to my guy Derrick Henry.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Whoo he's unstoppable huh what bro this dude is how
- 10:39Speaker 3: big is he bro he's me and you combined me
- 10:44Speaker 3: and you combined.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Really yeah he's the real deal I mean, this guy,
- 10:50Speaker 1: 24 carries, 144 yards, three touchdowns. Bro, that's, I mean,
- 10:55Speaker 1: to start the season off like that, I mean, Baltimore,
- 10:58Speaker 1: I mean, hey, trust me. Are they legitimate contenders? What?
- 11:01Speaker 1: I mean, to play like that and really Lamar not
- 11:04Speaker 1: really have to do anything and showcase what we know
- 11:07Speaker 1: he can do, now they just have to continue with
- 11:11Speaker 1: this run. Like, keep on this, and obviously health plays
- 11:13Speaker 1: a big part in this, but if you can create
- 11:17Speaker 1: some holes, Have a balanced running. Create some what? Create
- 11:20Speaker 1: some holes. Holes. If you can create some holes, not
- 11:23Speaker 1: some hoes. Don't create no hoes, but create some holes. Holes.
- 11:27Speaker 1: There's some holes in this house. Create some holes for
- 11:31Speaker 1: that big boy to go through. Right. Once he gets
- 11:34Speaker 1: in the secondary, we already know what he can do
- 11:36Speaker 1: with his physicality. That stiff arm is like no other.
- 11:39Speaker 1: I mean, he putting people's face in the dirt. And then, again,
- 11:42Speaker 1: to 144 yards to start the season, three tugs. Ooh.
- 11:47Speaker 1: That's pretty good. That's nasty. T.O., is MVP Lamar Jackson back?
- 11:53Speaker 1: I think it's a little too early to tell. I
- 11:58Speaker 1: know MVP Derrick Henry, he's making a case for MVP
- 12:02Speaker 1: right out the gate. I mean, Lamar already has that
- 12:07Speaker 1: MVP trophy. I think if he could trade in a
- 12:10Speaker 1: Super Bowl ring for MVP. I'm not even asking, is he–
- 12:14Speaker 1: going to make MVP again, is he back 100%? Can
- 12:17Speaker 1: this dude take this team to the Super Bowl? It
- 12:21Speaker 1: is too early to tell. Are they starting out on
- 12:25Speaker 1: the right foot? Is this the right way to start
- 12:29Speaker 1: the season? With a banging win, especially with a running back.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And Derrick Henry, man, taking off with three touchdowns and
- 12:37Speaker 1: over 100 yards. Um, this is a good sign for
- 12:40Speaker 1: the Ravens as a whole. I think as the season unfold,
- 12:44Speaker 1: we will see to your question. Is this the MVP
- 12:49Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson, uh, that we're wanting to see. All right.
- 12:53Speaker 2: Another one of your old teams, 49ers Rams, 27, seven
- 12:56Speaker 2: in Australia.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Yeah. I picked the 49ers to win. Yes, you did. Yeah.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I think I picked the 49ers to win this. Um,
- 13:02Speaker 1: obviously there was a lot of talk, um, too much
- 13:09Speaker 1: talk about the travel. Was it advantageous to get there
- 13:13Speaker 1: ahead of time versus traveling a day or two and
- 13:16Speaker 1: then getting there and then just hitting the ground running?
- 13:19Speaker 1: I think it's obvious. I think they were tired because
- 13:21Speaker 1: they had to run from the airport to the game. Right. Clearly,
- 13:25Speaker 1: this is something that I am sure McVay will rethink
- 13:28Speaker 1: if they have to travel internationally again. But again, I
- 13:31Speaker 1: think when you look at the San Francisco 49ers going
- 13:33Speaker 1: into this season with all the off-season issues that they've had,
- 13:37Speaker 1: you know, even stemming back to last year from all
- 13:40Speaker 1: the injuries, you know, everybody's, you know, been up in
- 13:43Speaker 1: arms about the injuries and all the electricity and things
- 13:46Speaker 1: going on. And then obviously some of the off-the-field issues.
- 13:49Speaker 1: You got Dajon Love trying to play for the 49ers. And,
- 13:52Speaker 1: you know, obviously that owner with his off-the-field issues and
- 13:55Speaker 1: Kyle Shanahan, you know, accident, you know, people sweeping that
- 13:59Speaker 1: on the road for about a week. Right. This is
- 14:01Speaker 1: what the 49ers needed was a W. I think that
- 14:06Speaker 1: would have compounded everything that has been going on this
- 14:10Speaker 1: offseason if they would have started this season out with
- 14:11Speaker 1: an L. You got Christian McCaffrey playing well. Obviously, Brock Purdy.
- 14:16Speaker 1: You look at how he distributed the ball. I mean,
- 14:20Speaker 1: Debo Samuel getting back to the team and getting back
- 14:24Speaker 1: into the playmaking ways, getting back into the end zone. man,
- 14:28Speaker 1: the 49er faithful, they were loving this win.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Is this a warning to other coaches and GMs that
- 14:33Speaker 2: you need to, if you're going to do some international travel,
- 14:36Speaker 2: you need to get there a couple days early?
- 14:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's in general. I think it's, I
- 14:40Speaker 1: wonder if anybody else has ever done that, shown up
- 14:43Speaker 1: the day before. I think a couple, I mean. And
- 14:46Speaker 1: they were trying to say that they were on the
- 14:47Speaker 1: same time zone. It's like, no, we ain't. No, because
- 14:50Speaker 1: I think you go. They're like 26 hours ahead. Yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: you're ahead. Yeah, you're ahead. You know what I mean?
- 14:54Speaker 1: I mean, just imagine. It's tomorrow in Australia right now. Yeah, right.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Just think if you had a birthday here, then you're ahead. Well,
- 15:00Speaker 1: let me tell you a story.
- 15:02Speaker 2: A good friend of ours, Jamie Foxx, asked me, what
- 15:04Speaker 2: are you doing for New Year's? I looked at my wife.
- 15:07Speaker 2: We said nothing. Flew us to Australia. We said, happy
- 15:10Speaker 2: New Year's in Australia. Then got on a plane, came
- 15:14Speaker 2: back to Vegas and said, happy New Year's. And it
- 15:17Speaker 2: was both New Year's.
- 15:18Speaker 1: So you had two New Year's. Two New Year's. Thanks,
- 15:21Speaker 1: Jamie Foxx. All right, I didn't mean to name drop,
- 15:23Speaker 1: but that's the kind of people me and T.O.B. know. Yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 1: you know, that's what we do. One of the bigger
- 15:27Speaker 1: stories is Miles Garrett is hurt. Right here in Los Angeles. Yes, no,
- 15:31Speaker 1: it was in Australia because he was running from the
- 15:33Speaker 1: airport to the damn stadium because they just landed four
- 15:37Speaker 1: hours before the game. That's not exactly what happened, but...
- 15:40Speaker 1: He's hurt. He's going to be out for four games. What?
- 15:42Speaker 1: Arthroscopic knee surgery. Yo, that's crazy. I mean, obviously we
- 15:46Speaker 1: have the information, but I didn't know that he was hurt. Hurt. Yeah,
- 15:52Speaker 1: I didn't know he had gotten hurt. So, again, if
- 15:54Speaker 1: he's going to be out, arthroscopic surgery, that's at least
- 15:58Speaker 1: four weeks. Barring nothing goes wrong, does this put a
- 16:03Speaker 1: little pressure on Aaron Donald to play this week and
- 16:06Speaker 1: to get back into the fold? Because, again, Aaron Donald–
- 16:10Speaker 1: obviously unretiring, coming back, and then you signing a big
- 16:14Speaker 1: free agent in Miles Garrett. Right. And that's definitely probably
- 16:18Speaker 1: a major reason that Aaron came back. No, no, for sure.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I mean, you have now two defensive players of the
- 16:26Speaker 1: year on your squad on the same side of the ball.
- 16:31Speaker 1: I mean, they obviously invested in and gave away some
- 16:35Speaker 1: picks to get Miles Garrett. And then obviously they're looking
- 16:38Speaker 1: for him to be really that this D star on
- 16:42Speaker 1: the defensive side of the ball. And now he's gone
- 16:44Speaker 1: for four weeks. Who are you going to now hang
- 16:46Speaker 1: your hat on? Yeah, we, we, we don't know defensively.
- 16:51Speaker 1: Aaron is going to be a big piece when both
- 16:54Speaker 1: of those guys are together. Now, collectively the defensive coordinator,
- 16:58Speaker 1: he now he's going to have to go to the
- 16:59Speaker 1: lab because now he defensively schematically, he's going to have
- 17:03Speaker 1: to make up for that loss of miles Garrett. And
- 17:05Speaker 1: then obviously, I don't know if, Aaron Donald's going to
- 17:08Speaker 1: play this week. I think he will. Now you have
- 17:10Speaker 1: to insert him. But then is that going to put
- 17:13Speaker 1: a lot of pressure on Aaron Donald to make plays? Oh, absolutely, yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Talking to a person who played with an injury, when
- 17:19Speaker 2: Myles Garrett comes back, is he going to be 100%?
- 17:21Speaker 2: And if he's not 100%, is he going to say
- 17:24Speaker 2: he's 100% so he can play?
- 17:24Speaker 1: No, I think he'll be 100%. I think this is
- 17:25Speaker 1: a minor. This is a minor surgery. Obviously, it's invasive.
- 17:35Speaker 1: But obviously, with the way he plays the game, like
- 17:38Speaker 1: I said, I don't know which knee it is or
- 17:41Speaker 1: what have you. I don't know if it's going to affect. Obviously,
- 17:44Speaker 1: he needs his legs, his takeoff, his power. All those
- 17:46Speaker 1: things are going to be predicated on knees, which he
- 17:51Speaker 1: needs to get back to the quarterback. So, yeah, a
- 17:53Speaker 1: guy that's played with injury, yeah, beginning of the season,
- 17:58Speaker 1: you start out at 100%. You know what I mean?
- 18:00Speaker 1: And even... You know, guys that start the season off,
- 18:03Speaker 1: you're really not 100%. You still have some nagging. That's
- 18:06Speaker 1: what I wanted to know. Yeah, you still have some
- 18:08Speaker 1: nagging injuries even from the year or two prior. You
- 18:11Speaker 1: just try to do whatever you can to preserve and
- 18:15Speaker 1: be as healthy as you can going into the season,
- 18:17Speaker 1: especially you don't want to. I mean, if you're going
- 18:19Speaker 1: to have an injury, this is the best time to
- 18:21Speaker 1: have it. You'd rather have it at the beginning of
- 18:23Speaker 1: the year. You don't want to be injured at all,
- 18:25Speaker 1: but you'd rather be hurt at the beginning of the
- 18:27Speaker 1: year versus the last four weeks of the season. You
- 18:29Speaker 1: get what I'm saying? Mm-hmm. knowing that you got the
- 18:31Speaker 1: playoffs coming in, coming upon you, and then this is
- 18:34Speaker 1: where you need your star player. Giants, Cowboys, another one
- 18:38Speaker 1: of your teams. You've been on a lot of teams.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Four teams, and we've named all four. Five, five, five.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I've been on five. Oh, yeah, Cincinnati. We're coming in
- 18:43Speaker 1: on next. Okay. Giants, Cowboys, 28-20. I mean, we're going
- 18:49Speaker 1: to show you this. Did you pick the Giants? The
- 18:52Speaker 1: topic here, one of the questions in bold letters is
- 18:54Speaker 1: same old Dallas defense. Jesus Christ. That's the question. I'm
- 18:58Speaker 1: going to give you one better. This is the same
- 19:00Speaker 1: old Dallas team. Same old Dallas team. Graded offense, lacking
- 19:06Speaker 1: in defense. They lacking in a little bit of everything.
- 19:08Speaker 1: But I picked the Giants to win this. And like
- 19:11Speaker 1: I said, I'm 100%, you know, according to my picks.
- 19:15Speaker 1: You know what the problem was? Is that they never
- 19:20Speaker 1: stopped them. It was always first down for the Giants. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: so that's a big, like you said, that's a big
- 19:25Speaker 1: question mark about the defense. You've got to stop them.
- 19:29Speaker 1: That's your Achilles heel. If you can't stop anybody, then
- 19:33Speaker 1: how are you going to allow your team offense to
- 19:36Speaker 1: get on the field to score, especially with those weapons
- 19:39Speaker 1: that they have in Pickens and CeeDee Lamb?
- 19:41Speaker 2: No, I saw some of the dudes in the third
- 19:43Speaker 2: quarter putting on regular clothes from the offense.
- 19:46Speaker 1: They're like, we ain't never getting on the field. No,
- 19:49Speaker 1: not playing like that. That's for sure. But again, like
- 19:52Speaker 1: I said, the Cowboys, I mean, it's the same old thing.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Is it this year? Is this year their year? Jerry
- 19:59Speaker 1: Jones is really selling all these Cowboy fans. He's selling
- 20:01Speaker 1: them a fantasy. He's selling them a dream. Jerry, I
- 20:06Speaker 1: cannot deny, he is a great salesman. He can sell
- 20:09Speaker 1: some ice cream to an Eskimo, that is for sure.
- 20:12Speaker 1: He can sell anything, any refrigerator products to anybody over there.
- 20:17Speaker 2: At what point do you stop trying to bring in
- 20:20Speaker 2: new people and just like settle with this team and
- 20:23Speaker 2: make them great?
- 20:24Speaker 1: I think he just needs to relinquish some of his...
- 20:27Speaker 1: He ain't never doing that. No, he needs to relinquish
- 20:30Speaker 1: some of the control that he has with the team
- 20:32Speaker 1: and allow some other people to kind of step in
- 20:34Speaker 1: place Never going to happen. I saw the documentary. But
- 20:38Speaker 1: that's kind of like a sign of narcissism, in a sense.
- 20:42Speaker 1: I mean, you've got to be able to allow. But again,
- 20:45Speaker 1: at the end of the day, he's not even really
- 20:47Speaker 1: worried about wins and losses. I'm just telling you. Fans
- 20:49Speaker 1: out there, it's not about wins and losses for him.
- 20:52Speaker 1: It's about the bottom line, and that's the bottom dollar.
- 20:54Speaker 1: As long as you guys keep buying that Dallas Cowboy merch,
- 20:58Speaker 1: he's raking in dollars. long as he's doing that, he's
- 21:02Speaker 1: putting a decent product on the field and giving you
- 21:05Speaker 1: guys hope that every year is the year, you guys
- 21:08Speaker 1: keep buying it. He's just like Donald Trump. He'll just
- 21:12Speaker 1: say anything and a lot of people are eating it
- 21:14Speaker 1: up and think it's going to be true. What do
- 21:16Speaker 1: you think about Dak? Stop it. What do you think
- 21:18Speaker 1: about Dak? Would he do well? Would he do better
- 21:21Speaker 1: on a different team? I think so. Again, when you
- 21:25Speaker 1: play with the Dallas Cowboys, there's so many expectations. Obviously,
- 21:30Speaker 1: historic franchise um obviously every year i mean i don't
- 21:33Speaker 1: know when the last team when the last time they
- 21:35Speaker 1: won a super bowl i mean even the years that
- 21:37Speaker 1: i played that they went they were like okay this
- 21:39Speaker 1: is the year this is a year a lot of
- 21:40Speaker 1: things happen with that but uh yeah dac is playing
- 21:43Speaker 1: i mean he's playing well i mean again time of
- 21:45Speaker 1: possession is the the the key the key to the
- 21:49Speaker 1: the giants winning the ball i mean when you don't
- 21:51Speaker 1: have a lot of opportunities offensively it's hard to win
- 21:54Speaker 1: ball games cleveland browns Versus the Jags. I know the
- 21:59Speaker 1: big story. Yeah, I didn't play for any of these.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Is this quarterback situation? You didn't play for any of
- 22:02Speaker 1: these teams. I didn't play for any of these teams. No, okay, good.
- 22:04Speaker 1: The Browns committed 11 penalties. Yeah, for me, that's a
- 22:08Speaker 1: sign of being undisciplined. Right. That's whether you, mental assignments
- 22:13Speaker 1: or control of your emotions have to be disciplined, especially
- 22:18Speaker 1: going into the season. And especially with the Browns, I mean,
- 22:22Speaker 1: These are things that have been your Achilles heels over
- 22:24Speaker 1: the years. In order to be a better organization, be
- 22:26Speaker 1: a better football team, these are things that need to
- 22:28Speaker 1: be corrected. And that's, I mean, that's on the head
- 22:32Speaker 1: coach because it starts with him. And they turned the
- 22:35Speaker 1: ball over twice. And turnovers, obviously, I mean, that's not bad.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Turning the ball twice, it depends on when those turnovers
- 22:42Speaker 1: were made. I believe they were interceptions. Right, but you
- 22:44Speaker 1: can overcome, you know, turnovers. You can overcome those. Turnovers...
- 22:50Speaker 1: And penalties, that's a lot to overcome. Obviously, I'm sure
- 22:54Speaker 1: the big story is, and I already, my pick was
- 22:56Speaker 1: the Jaguars anyway. I didn't think that the Browns were
- 22:59Speaker 1: going to win this game by any stretch of the imagination.
- 23:01Speaker 1: Because of the Deshaun Watson situation? Just overall, knowing who
- 23:05Speaker 1: they were playing, too. You got Trevor Lawrence. They reached
- 23:09Speaker 1: the playoffs last year. They hit a little snag. And
- 23:13Speaker 1: you got Travis Hunter, phenomenal college football player, coming in.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Playing his first year, he got injured, I think, midway
- 23:22Speaker 1: of the season last year. But he's going to be better.
- 23:24Speaker 1: I think that overall make of the team is going
- 23:27Speaker 1: to be better. But playing against the Browns, I mean,
- 23:30Speaker 1: this was, again, this is a good feel-good game for
- 23:33Speaker 1: the Jaguars. I think the topic in the discussion is
- 23:37Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson. Yes. My thing is I'm not going to
- 23:42Speaker 1: put all the heat on Deshaun Watson. I'm not saying, oh,
- 23:45Speaker 1: let's put Shador Sanders in right away. I want Shador
- 23:49Speaker 1: Sanders to play just like all the fans want him
- 23:52Speaker 1: to play. But they have to understand there's a lot
- 23:55Speaker 1: of money at stake, a lot of money invested in
- 23:58Speaker 1: Deshaun Watson. And they want to see exactly what can
- 24:01Speaker 1: he do now that he's healthy. Deshaun Watson hasn't played
- 24:04Speaker 1: in like two years. Just as I said earlier with
- 24:08Speaker 1: Drake May, with being comfortable, timing, pre-snap read, all those things,
- 24:16Speaker 1: pre-season snaps, pre-season games, In practice, in preseason, you're not
- 24:21Speaker 1: playing with guys that are going full out. Now you're
- 24:25Speaker 1: asking a quarterback that hasn't played in two years, hasn't
- 24:28Speaker 1: really played a full game, because you've got to think.
- 24:32Speaker 1: Shador played some of the preseason snaps too. He didn't
- 24:35Speaker 1: play a full four quarters. The timing is off. All
- 24:39Speaker 1: those things come into play. The guy can play. There's
- 24:42Speaker 1: documentation that the dude can play. Let him get his
- 24:45Speaker 1: timing back. Let him get his footing. Let him see
- 24:48Speaker 1: enough football that he hasn't seen in two years, and
- 24:51Speaker 1: I think maybe we're going to see the Deshaun Watson
- 24:54Speaker 1: that we want to see. But you have to be
- 24:57Speaker 1: patient with the guy at this point because management is
- 25:00Speaker 1: not going to push your door in right now. That's
- 25:03Speaker 1: just not going to happen. When will that happen? I
- 25:07Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know what leash, and I don't
- 25:09Speaker 1: know if they have a game number in mind to
- 25:12Speaker 1: give Deshaun Watson, for it to play out to see
- 25:16Speaker 1: when they need to yank him and then put Shador in.
- 25:20Speaker 1: But obviously, we know Shador can play. Yes. I know
- 25:23Speaker 1: Shador can play. I'm wanting him just like everybody else,
- 25:26Speaker 1: but it's just not going to happen right now. Right now,
- 25:28Speaker 1: he hasn't gotten his timing back. He hasn't played in
- 25:31Speaker 1: two years. That's just like me. Honestly, if I came back,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I would be a little rusty and be like, oh,
- 25:35Speaker 1: I told you he couldn't play. Give me some time
- 25:38Speaker 1: to play. Give me some time to show you real
- 25:41Speaker 1: live bullets, give me some, get me comfortable, get him
- 25:46Speaker 1: some plays, just like I'm talking, get him comfortable, get
- 25:48Speaker 1: him some plays to get the ball out of his hands.
- 25:50Speaker 1: And I saw one of the highlights of one of
- 25:52Speaker 1: his interceptions. He threw over the middle. Not his fault. No,
- 25:56Speaker 1: it was his fault, but that's a lot of timing.
- 26:00Speaker 1: So let me ask you something. The linebacker dropped where
- 26:02Speaker 1: he was throwing, but again, that comes with timing and
- 26:05Speaker 1: seeing it in real time. Wouldn't more preseason snaps help that? Yes, absolutely.
- 26:10Speaker 1: But again... They're having to, again, you got to think about,
- 26:14Speaker 1: you got to prepare Shador just in case they do
- 26:17Speaker 1: put him in a situation if they take, if they
- 26:21Speaker 1: yank him out of there. This is my favorite thing.
- 26:24Speaker 1: You know me, I love popcorn. Where is your, you
- 26:26Speaker 1: didn't bring that this week? No, the players brought it.
- 26:30Speaker 1: They brought it. All right, talk to me. Get your
- 26:32Speaker 1: popcorn ready. This is T.O. 's Popcorn Power Five, and
- 26:36Speaker 1: it's not about the wins and losses in this segment.
- 26:38Speaker 1: This is about how they balled out. Best performances. This
- 26:41Speaker 1: is about who produces. Okay. Who basically showed out, who
- 26:45Speaker 1: popped off. Who's number five for you? Number five, we're
- 26:48Speaker 1: going to go from... Bottom to the top. Okay. Number five.
- 26:53Speaker 1: My number five is Jameer Gibbs of the Detroit Lions.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Talk to me. He popped off a little bit. 29 carries,
- 27:01Speaker 1: 156 yards, two touchdowns, 5.4 yards per carry. Man. What
- 27:07Speaker 1: do you think about them Lions? They all right. I mean,
- 27:11Speaker 1: they all right. They've been knocking at the door. But, hey,
- 27:13Speaker 1: like I said, it's not about the wins and losses.
- 27:15Speaker 1: It's about who popped off. So, hey, Jameer, he's at
- 27:18Speaker 1: number five. Okay. Number four. This is Bella's favorite team
- 27:22Speaker 1: and player. I don't know why he's number four, baby.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. This was pretty pedestrian for him because... We're
- 27:32Speaker 1: going to get to who really popped off. Yeah, we're
- 27:36Speaker 1: going to save that. 17 to 25, 324 yards, 40
- 27:38Speaker 1: rushing yards. When you have 40, this is good. We
- 27:41Speaker 1: don't want him running around. We got to save him.
- 27:44Speaker 1: But we like it. Yeah, we got to keep him upright. Right, right.
- 27:47Speaker 1: It's game one. Two touchdowns and no interceptions. Right. That's good. Okay.
- 27:51Speaker 1: That's good. I will say that's semi-MVP level performance. It's okay.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Number three. Close number three. You know he's coming out
- 28:03Speaker 1: his backfield. Lamar's backfield. Who is it? D. Henry. Derrick Henry. Boy,
- 28:08Speaker 1: this dude popped off. 24 carries, 144 yards, and three
- 28:13Speaker 1: touchdowns to start the season. Now, hey, this is MVP
- 28:17Speaker 1: form right here. Six yards a carry. Holler at your boy. Now,
- 28:21Speaker 1: who does he remind you of? Shoot, this dude, he's
- 28:24Speaker 1: like Bo Jackson and a little Emmitt Smith. Okay. Shoot,
- 28:30Speaker 1: and a little Eric D. A little Eric Dickerson. Well,
- 28:33Speaker 1: he don't run so upright like E.D. Yeah, he does.
- 28:36Speaker 1: He ain't got no curls. Yeah, he runs a little
- 28:38Speaker 1: upright and he'll put your face in the dirt. Okay. Yeah,
- 28:41Speaker 1: number three. Coming in at number two. Another one of
- 28:44Speaker 1: my guys, Bills Mafia. I know y'all love me out there.
- 28:49Speaker 1: In the 7-1-6, Josh Allen coming in, 334 passing yards,
- 28:54Speaker 1: four touchdowns, and no interceptions. Hey, this is definitely MVP performance, too. Now,
- 29:00Speaker 1: why wasn't he your number one? Just hold on. You
- 29:04Speaker 1: popping off too fast. I'm just asking. Bill's nation. Bill's mafia.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I get it. He's close. He's at number two. Then
- 29:11Speaker 1: who is number one? He's at number two. Shout out.
- 29:14Speaker 1: Josh Allen. Number one. Ha, this is probably going to
- 29:18Speaker 1: surprise a lot of people. Number one out of Chicago, woo,
- 29:24Speaker 1: Windy City, Caleb Williams. Soon to be Indiana. Man, 269
- 29:31Speaker 1: passing yards, 65 rushing yards, four touchdowns, zero interceptions, and
- 29:39Speaker 1: zero touchdowns. chipped fingernails. All right, I get it. I
- 29:43Speaker 1: was just trying to hate on him because he's a Trojan. Yes,
- 29:46Speaker 1: he definitely had the number one performance of the week.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And they put up 50-plus points on the Panthers. What?
- 29:54Speaker 1: Come on now. And there you have it. Popcorn Power Five.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Get your popcorn ready. The wait is over. Football is here.
- 30:02Speaker 1: And so is DraftKings. The DraftKings Sports app is now
- 30:06Speaker 1: live in all 50 states. That means from Texas to
- 30:09Speaker 1: California to Florida. Every fan is in on the excitement.
- 30:13Speaker 1: And this September, DraftKings is giving customers the opportunity to
- 30:16Speaker 1: get boosted every football game day. That's right. Every game day,
- 30:20Speaker 1: all month long, DraftKings customers can get a football profit boost.
- 30:24Speaker 1: All right, y'all. This next section is called Get to
- 30:26Speaker 1: the Pick, where we ask T.O. his picks. Get to
- 30:29Speaker 1: the picks. All right. And listen, we're going to keep
- 30:31Speaker 1: a track of all your shit. Right now, I'm— Right now,
- 30:34Speaker 1: you're about two and six. No, no, no. I've only—
- 30:37Speaker 1: We will find out. One game, one game, I pick wrong.
- 30:40Speaker 1: The Chargers one? Yeah. All right, Lions and the Bills. Okay,
- 30:43Speaker 1: both teams are 1-0.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Buffalo uses three tight ends for damn near 40% of
- 30:49Speaker 2: their offense.
- 30:50Speaker 1: Yeah, which I think bodes well, especially when you have
- 30:54Speaker 1: a high-powered offense. That way you can really kind of
- 30:57Speaker 1: disguise you, the tight end, in passing and run situations.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So if you're asking me for my pick, Lions or Bills,
- 31:07Speaker 1: B becomes before L, so I'm going to go Bills.
- 31:09Speaker 1: B goes before L. Not that that's, you know, that's
- 31:13Speaker 1: how women, they find any way. Colors. Colors, any way
- 31:16Speaker 1: to figure out, pick a team. But no, I'm going
- 31:19Speaker 1: with the Buffalo Bills, and I'm not really being biased,
- 31:22Speaker 1: but I'm just basing this on really just offensive efficiency
- 31:27Speaker 1: and really how, really, Josh Allen has started this season out.
- 31:31Speaker 1: And I think he's motivated. He's more than motivated, especially
- 31:35Speaker 1: how last year ended. And I know I'm pretty sure
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm probably going to be redundant in saying this, but
- 31:43Speaker 1: their window for winning really was last year. I don't
- 31:46Speaker 1: want to say it's closing, but last year with the
- 31:49Speaker 1: Chiefs not being in the playoffs, they had the best
- 31:53Speaker 1: opportunity to win and really compete and win a Super Bowl.
- 31:58Speaker 1: So this year, I'm sure that's been on his mind.
- 32:01Speaker 1: When you're an athlete, but when you win and you're
- 32:04Speaker 1: close to getting to there, and you end up, that
- 32:07Speaker 1: off-season comes a little bit faster than you want to, bro,
- 32:09Speaker 1: it eats at you. You don't sleep, sometimes you don't eat,
- 32:13Speaker 1: and then you're motivated. So the way that he's come out,
- 32:15Speaker 1: the Bills have come out, and I'm sure there's a lot,
- 32:18Speaker 1: it's always going to be riding on the quarterback's shoulders.
- 32:21Speaker 1: But this year, I think this may be the year
- 32:23Speaker 1: for the Buffalo Bills. Okay, we got two other undefeated teams.
- 32:27Speaker 2: We got the Vikings. And the Bears, one has an
- 32:30Speaker 2: incredible defense and one last week had an incredible offense.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Who you got? I'm going with Chicago Bears. It's Vikings.
- 32:36Speaker 1: They're on their second quarterback. Kyler Murray got hurt early
- 32:40Speaker 1: on in this game. Again, you think about just timing.
- 32:44Speaker 1: He was injured at the end of his season with
- 32:48Speaker 1: the Arizona Cardinals. Now he's injured again. Again, a lot
- 32:53Speaker 1: of this is timing. If you look at how Kyler
- 32:56Speaker 1: got hurt, He slid head first. You got to slide
- 33:00Speaker 1: feet first to give yourself up. And then he don't
- 33:03Speaker 1: take those hits. He got like he was like right
- 33:09Speaker 1: in between two defenders. This is what I'm talking about,
- 33:12Speaker 1: like where preseason, all these things come into play. When
- 33:15Speaker 1: you don't play a lot of preseason, your timing is off,
- 33:17Speaker 1: your decision making is off. Even decision making as far
- 33:20Speaker 1: as him sliding, not taking that hit. you live to
- 33:25Speaker 1: play another play. You know what I mean? Well, maybe
- 33:27Speaker 1: he played baseball. Well, he did play baseball. But even
- 33:31Speaker 1: with baseball, I mean, depending on where you're sliding in,
- 33:34Speaker 1: you slide feet first, too. You know what I mean?
- 33:37Speaker 1: I've slid feet first a number of times playing baseball.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I play a little baseball. Who needs to win more?
- 33:42Speaker 1: Everybody wants to win, but who needs to win more? Right.
- 33:44Speaker 1: This is an AFC-NFC game matchup. So, again, they're not
- 33:47Speaker 1: in each other's division. I would say... For the sake
- 33:53Speaker 1: of just staying on par and staying on trajectory, I
- 33:56Speaker 1: think the Bills need this win more. I think this
- 34:01Speaker 1: does well for the confidence of, number one, the quarterback,
- 34:05Speaker 1: his players, and then obviously they can get a lot
- 34:08Speaker 1: more continuity. They can gel, really kind of identify what
- 34:14Speaker 1: they're going to go and how and who they're going
- 34:17Speaker 1: to be throughout the course of the season. Are they
- 34:18Speaker 1: going to be a running team? Are they going to
- 34:19Speaker 1: be a passing team? Is this team going to be
- 34:23Speaker 1: led by the leadership of Josh Allen, despite the ebbs
- 34:27Speaker 1: and flow of the season? Can he be mistake-free when
- 34:31Speaker 1: he needs to push the Bills to get to the
- 34:34Speaker 1: Super Bowl? Okay.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I hate saying the word undefeated because it's only 1-0,
- 34:37Speaker 2: but Bengals-Texans.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Bengals-Texans. Bengals are 1-0, and the Texans are 0-1. I'm
- 34:44Speaker 1: going to go with the Bengals in this one. I'm
- 34:46Speaker 1: going to go with Joe Burrow. I think he has
- 34:49Speaker 1: a lot to prove. Again, you got a lot of guys,
- 34:52Speaker 1: a lot of players that are coming back at the
- 34:53Speaker 1: beginning of the season that were injured toward the end
- 34:55Speaker 1: of last season that are going to need to really
- 34:58Speaker 1: show and improve at the beginning of this season. So
- 35:03Speaker 1: a lot is riding on the Bengals. They've had so many,
- 35:08Speaker 1: a few years where they've been projected and the potential
- 35:11Speaker 1: is there on their team. They've just been under, they just, yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 1: they just haven't been Productive. Yeah, productive. Yeah, thank you. Yeah,
- 35:21Speaker 1: been very underwhelming is the word I was looking for
- 35:24Speaker 1: for their performance, especially with the quarterback, with the capabilities
- 35:27Speaker 1: of a guy like Joe Burrow. So your prediction is
- 35:31Speaker 1: the Bengals. Bengals. Who needs to win more? Shit, both
- 35:36Speaker 1: of them need to win more. I would probably say
- 35:39Speaker 1: the Houston Texans. They probably need to win more. Especially
- 35:41Speaker 1: when you're 0-1. Yeah, and C.J. Stroud, obviously, trying to
- 35:46Speaker 1: kind of, you know, And I think, yeah, he's trying
- 35:49Speaker 1: to prove himself. And I think he's looking for a
- 35:51Speaker 1: new contract, I think, if I'm not mistaken. He's looking
- 35:53Speaker 1: for a new contract. And the only way that that's
- 35:56Speaker 1: going to happen, you're not going to be able to
- 35:58Speaker 1: play bad and garner or warrant a new contract. He
- 36:03Speaker 1: has to go out and prove to the city of
- 36:05Speaker 1: Houston that he's deserving of that. Next, we got the
- 36:08Speaker 1: Patriots and the Steelers. Steelers are actually 1-0 and the
- 36:13Speaker 1: Patriots are 0-1-1. Whoa. This is Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers, right?
- 36:18Speaker 2: Let's not forget, New England allowed three sacks and ended
- 36:21Speaker 2: its final three possessions with interceptions.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Obviously, my pick is I'm going to pick the Steelers.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Who needs to win more? I would probably say the Patriots.
- 36:31Speaker 1: But I think if you got the leadership, the veteran
- 36:34Speaker 1: play of a guy like Aaron Rodgers, I wouldn't count
- 36:39Speaker 1: this guy out. I think he's going to play really
- 36:42Speaker 1: well throughout this season. Now he's had a couple of
- 36:45Speaker 1: years from the Achilles injury. I think he's going to
- 36:49Speaker 1: play better this year. And then also with the reunion
- 36:53Speaker 1: of his former head coach from the Green Bay Packers,
- 36:55Speaker 1: Mike McCarthy, who just came over from the Dallas Cowboys.
- 36:59Speaker 1: This is obviously a more familiar territory. an atmosphere for
- 37:04Speaker 1: obviously our QB. When you have somebody that you've won
- 37:07Speaker 1: a Super Bowl with, it's almost like getting back with
- 37:09Speaker 1: that old girlfriend. You know what I mean? You know
- 37:11Speaker 1: you've been there, done that. You wouldn't know anything about that. No,
- 37:15Speaker 1: I've never had an ex-girlfriend. Neither would I, but I'm
- 37:19Speaker 1: hoping so at some point. You've had a lot of exes. Yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 1: but I just haven't reunited with them. There's been no reunions.
- 37:28Speaker 1: No reunions. But I know I have the conceptual idea
- 37:31Speaker 1: of what that could be like. Yeah, absolutely. But yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 1: when you go back to that, you know, that used to.
- 37:40Speaker 1: Dolphins 49ers. 49ers feel good. They have a win. And Dolphins, well,
- 37:45Speaker 1: you guys are 0-1. And they're going to be forever
- 37:48Speaker 1: 0-1 something. You don't like the Dolphins, huh? It's not
- 37:52Speaker 1: that I don't like the Dolphins. I just– I don't
- 37:54Speaker 1: even know who's playing this weekend for the Dolphins. Is
- 37:57Speaker 1: it Ricky Williams, O.J. McDuffie? Larry Zonka? Yeah, Dan Marino.
- 38:03Speaker 1: It's a fresh team. Man, I think they would probably
- 38:08Speaker 1: be better off, I mean, just subbing them out and
- 38:11Speaker 1: putting a UFL or a CFL team in one of
- 38:15Speaker 1: their spots because they– I don't know if they're going
- 38:17Speaker 1: to win a game this year. They didn't look good
- 38:19Speaker 1: last week. I'm predicting they're going to lose 10-plus games
- 38:24Speaker 1: this year. Damn. They're going to lose 10-plus games. So
- 38:27Speaker 1: if anybody needs this win, it's the Miami Dolphins, but
- 38:31Speaker 1: it's not going to happen this weekend because the 49ers,
- 38:34Speaker 1: they are– they are ready to play some ball this year.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I think they're more than motivated. They're more than motivated
- 38:41Speaker 1: this year with the addition of Debo Samuels. And obviously
- 38:44Speaker 1: you've seen how Kyle Shanahan, they've implemented him. They're using him.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Obviously health is going to be a big, big key
- 38:51Speaker 1: in the whole season, but they can utilize Debo to
- 38:55Speaker 1: his strengths. And Debo is not being used strictly as
- 38:58Speaker 1: a running back, strictly as a receiver, using him as
- 39:01Speaker 1: somewhat of a utility guy, like a versatile guy. Maybe
- 39:05Speaker 1: even put him on like, kickoff return, a punt return,
- 39:08Speaker 1: using his playmaking ability, like I said, and not full
- 39:12Speaker 1: time at one position, that's going to bode well for
- 39:15Speaker 1: the 49er offense. So yeah, my pick is the 49ers.

- 40:23Speaker 4: Switch some gears.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Switch some gears. Because I see your mind is kind
- 40:26Speaker 1: of just all over the place. Yeah, because I don't
- 40:27Speaker 1: understand why this guy was there.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Ted Cruz was recently on college game day.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know why. They want you all to
- 40:35Speaker 1: shut up and dribble or shut up and score touchdowns.
- 40:37Speaker 1: Throw the ball. I don't know. Yeah. So let me
- 40:39Speaker 1: explain to you guys what happened.
- 40:40Speaker 2: So Senator Ted Cruz appeared on ESPN's college game day
- 40:45Speaker 2: in Austin to promote the Protect College Sports Act, which
- 40:50Speaker 2: is legislation addressing the NIL, Rev sharing, transfers, and national
- 40:56Speaker 2: rules for college athletics. Well, his ass got booed, as
- 41:00Speaker 2: he rightfully should have been booed, because they're constantly telling
- 41:04Speaker 2: us as, you know, we athletes, but a lot of
- 41:09Speaker 2: times entertainers, whether they be actors or musicians, to stay
- 41:13Speaker 2: in your lane. Don't get involved in politics. And now
- 41:16Speaker 2: politics is trying to get involved in sports. And we're like,
- 41:21Speaker 2: what are you doing here? Why are you here?
- 41:24Speaker 1: It pains me to hear this because it's almost like
- 41:27Speaker 1: they're trying to take away something that has been needed
- 41:33Speaker 1: for kids. When these colleges and universities have made millions
- 41:37Speaker 1: and billions of dollars off the back of these college athletes,
- 41:42Speaker 1: now they're trying to now, I guess, regulate or strip
- 41:45Speaker 1: that way in a sense. Do I feel like maybe
- 41:48Speaker 1: there should be some sort of regulation? I don't really,
- 41:51Speaker 1: maybe so. To have some sort of structure. Right. But
- 41:55Speaker 1: it shouldn't be the government to do it. Right. Yeah.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I don't think they need to be coming and then
- 42:00Speaker 1: trying to intervene. It's just like Trump trying to intervene
- 42:03Speaker 1: in the soccer stuff, like soccer match. Or even the
- 42:06Speaker 1: Knicks game. Right. Which was bad luck to the Knicks.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Stay in your lane. They have people that are knowledgeable. Qualified. Qualified.
- 42:17Speaker 1: and know the ins and outs of how college football works.
- 42:22Speaker 1: And again, I don't agree totally with a lot of
- 42:26Speaker 1: what Nick Saban has done, because they've tried to, I guess,
- 42:30Speaker 1: have him as a governing body or voice with NIL,
- 42:34Speaker 1: because I think that's probably why he got out of football,
- 42:36Speaker 1: because of NIL, because he saw what's happening now. He
- 42:40Speaker 1: saw it coming. And I think now you have, I
- 42:43Speaker 1: think to his credit, He's allowed a lot of his
- 42:46Speaker 1: players that have come through the University of Alabama, have
- 42:49Speaker 1: come through T-Town, number one, to get an education. But
- 42:52Speaker 1: a lot of those kids obviously have benefited from being
- 42:54Speaker 1: in Alabama at Alabama too. Not all of them, but
- 42:58Speaker 1: look at some of those superstars that, you know, how
- 43:01Speaker 1: many jersey sales that they've had, millions and millions of
- 43:04Speaker 1: dollars that they've made with just their number, not their name.
- 43:07Speaker 1: And those kids haven't benefited at all. Now it's a
- 43:10Speaker 1: situation where these kids, it's almost like they're saying, You know,
- 43:16Speaker 1: what's that, the rabbit? It's no fun when the rabbit
- 43:19Speaker 1: has the gun. Now, these players, they have the gun.
- 43:24Speaker 1: That's what's going on right now. And now they're trying
- 43:28Speaker 1: to get the gun from the rabbit. And I don't
- 43:30Speaker 1: think the way they're going about it, it's the right way.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Colin Kaepernick is on this book tour. And that whole
- 43:37Speaker 2: Jay-Z controversy has kind of been.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Brought to light. Right. I don't know if you remember,
- 43:43Speaker 1: Jay-Z did a freestyle. Yep. He talked about Target. He
- 43:47Speaker 1: talked about, I think he made some references to. Dave
- 43:49Speaker 1: Dash's teeth coming out. Yeah. Some people loved it. Some
- 43:54Speaker 1: people liked it. Some people thought it was just okay.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I think a lot of people didn't like it. Yeah.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Did you like it? I think there was a lot
- 44:01Speaker 1: of hypocrisy in some of his delivery, saying that, you know,
- 44:05Speaker 1: you guys are liking Target, but, you know, the people
- 44:08Speaker 1: that fund Target and all these things like Meta, we
- 44:11Speaker 1: like Meta and Instagram and all these things. and what
- 44:15Speaker 1: is it, Prime, what is it? Somebody's big business. Yeah, Amazon,
- 44:21Speaker 1: all these things. I think there was a lot of
- 44:23Speaker 1: hypocrisy in his message. In his delivery. Okay. Yes.
- 44:28Speaker 2: So him and Jay-Z are at odds right now because,
- 44:33Speaker 2: you know, he's fully entrenched in this movement. Like, literally,
- 44:39Speaker 2: I think his books are probably mostly at black-owned bookstores, right?
- 44:44Speaker 1: Yes, it is. This is Kaepernick's book. Oh, yeah, he
- 44:48Speaker 1: didn't put his book in Target. No, he did not.
- 44:51Speaker 1: That was not one of the Targets. And so Jay-Z,
- 44:55Speaker 1: I think he thinks Jay-Z.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Has kind of convoluted the message, right?
- 45:02Speaker 1: And compromised, maybe compromised some of what he's trying to accomplish. Yeah,
- 45:06Speaker 1: by taking this big gig with the NFL, right? But
- 45:09Speaker 1: Jay-Z said earlier, dude, you already took a check. And...
- 45:15Speaker 1: you signed an NDA, right? But Colin is saying, I
- 45:19Speaker 1: ain't signed an NDA. But what's the purpose of an NDA?
- 45:21Speaker 1: I'm sure you signed an NDA saying, make sure you
- 45:24Speaker 1: tell people you ain't signed no NDA. So basically like
- 45:28Speaker 1: who's telling the truth? Right. Who's telling the truth and
- 45:31Speaker 1: who's lying? At this point, I mean, if I had to,
- 45:35Speaker 1: if there's a meter here. Pick your favorite black. Right.
- 45:37Speaker 1: If there's a meter here, like I said, and I
- 45:40Speaker 1: hate this black on black thing. Right. But if I
- 45:42Speaker 1: had to pick a meter here to see where it's swinging,
- 45:45Speaker 1: For the good, I'm going to go with Colin. Really? Well,
- 45:48Speaker 1: I'm going to go with Jay. I don't know why
- 45:50Speaker 1: you would want to go with Jay. Because he gave
- 45:51Speaker 1: me tickets to the show on the 23rd. That is
- 45:53Speaker 1: definitely not a reason to go with Jay. I'm going
- 45:55Speaker 1: to go with Colin because C becomes a 4J, if
- 45:58Speaker 1: that's the case. We don't like going against our people.
- 46:02Speaker 1: But basically what you can see right here. Yeah, exactly.
- 46:05Speaker 1: But honestly, if I had to... We understand both sides. Yeah,
- 46:10Speaker 1: understand both sides. And there's probably some stuff that we
- 46:12Speaker 1: don't know. Don't know. I think we all have... There's
- 46:15Speaker 1: a lot that we probably don't know. But I think
- 46:17Speaker 1: from looking at the big picture, it doesn't look good,
- 46:24Speaker 1: especially when we're trying to advance in so many areas
- 46:28Speaker 1: as a black community, and then we have two powerhouses
- 46:31Speaker 1: of individuals combating, going head-to-head against each other. So speaking
- 46:36Speaker 1: of the black community, Fat Joe... What's that ninja talking about?
- 46:40Speaker 1: He doesn't even use the word ninja. He uses the
- 46:42Speaker 1: real word. Am I allowed to say neighbor? Right. What
- 46:46Speaker 1: do you think about him using the N word? Because,
- 46:50Speaker 1: I mean, that's the phrase, using the N word. It
- 46:54Speaker 1: is tricky. Okay. Tricky. And what's so tricky about it is,
- 47:00Speaker 1: He's closer to the other color than us. But it's
- 47:03Speaker 1: not color. I know. I get it. I know that.
- 47:06Speaker 1: But some people that looks like they're going to say, oh,
- 47:08Speaker 1: you shouldn't say that word because you're not us. You're
- 47:13Speaker 1: not our color. But obviously, there's genetics. There's DNA. Sure. Culture.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I think he said two different things, and that's why
- 47:22Speaker 1: people are being a little confused. Before he said, I
- 47:25Speaker 1: am a part of black culture. Right. I grew up
- 47:28Speaker 1: in the projects in the Bronx. But there are white
- 47:31Speaker 1: people that grew up in the culture. No, that's what
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm saying. That's where people were saying, eh. And then
- 47:36Speaker 1: he came back and said, my father is an Afro-Latino. Okay.
- 47:41Speaker 1: And so. So what does that quite mean? That means
- 47:44Speaker 1: he has permission to use the word because he is
- 47:47Speaker 1: of black culture. He has black in him. Yes, that's
- 47:50Speaker 1: African and Latino. So if it's in him, if he's
- 47:53Speaker 1: a black person, then I think that gives him license
- 47:56Speaker 1: to say the word. But I think they're saying, we
- 47:59Speaker 1: never heard you say that before. I think before you
- 48:01Speaker 1: were just saying, you know, I'm the biggest, baddest you
- 48:05Speaker 1: ever met. And because I grew up in this, and
- 48:08Speaker 1: then now recently he's telling us, oh, by the way,
- 48:11Speaker 1: my father is Afro-Latino. And so he is also saying
- 48:14Speaker 1: since I grew up in hip-hop, I am hip-hop, I
- 48:18Speaker 1: should have a license to say it. No, no, no. No,
- 48:21Speaker 1: I don't think that gives you the liberty or the
- 48:24Speaker 1: license to say it just because you grew up in
- 48:26Speaker 1: the space. Because Eminem grew up in hip-hop. Right, in
- 48:28Speaker 1: the space. He better not say it. Yeah, he's not
- 48:30Speaker 1: saying it. Vanilla Ice, well, I don't know if he
- 48:32Speaker 1: grew up in hip-hop, but you know what I'm saying. Right, again, it's...
- 48:35Speaker 1: You can't just adopt. But when you grew up in
- 48:37Speaker 1: New York, New York is it. Brooklyn, Bronx, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Jamaicans,
- 48:44Speaker 1: and niggas all call each other nigga. Right. And so
- 48:49Speaker 1: I understand where he's coming from. He's not using a
- 48:52Speaker 1: hard ER. Right. He's saying it the way we said it.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And I think that's the way he said it coming up. Right.
- 48:58Speaker 1: It's a difference in N-I-G-G-A and N-I-G-G-E-R. Listen, the word
- 49:03Speaker 1: is horrible. Nobody should be saying it. Right. But again,
- 49:06Speaker 1: I grew up in a in a culture, in a
- 49:09Speaker 1: neighborhood where we say it, I mean, we don't use
- 49:12Speaker 1: it often, but just, you playing basketball, you playing football,
- 49:16Speaker 1: just doing whatever, you're going to say that word.
- 49:18Speaker 2: And I think that's what Fat Joe's saying. That's how
- 49:20Speaker 2: he grew up. This isn't something new to him.
- 49:23Speaker 1: But this is also, you have to, him being who
- 49:27Speaker 1: he is. I like how you touched me like you
- 49:28Speaker 1: was the principal. Like, hold on, young man. He's like,
- 49:30Speaker 1: I know you tore your quads. I don't know how sensitive.
- 49:32Speaker 1: I know it's been a while. I don't want to
- 49:33Speaker 1: hurt you. No, but what I was about to say
- 49:41Speaker 1: is that him being in his situation, like he said,
- 49:44Speaker 1: to his point and what he's trying to preface, like, oh,
- 49:47Speaker 1: I grew up in this space, blah, blah, blah. You
- 49:49Speaker 1: have to read the room, too, as to when and not, yeah,
- 49:53Speaker 1: not how, but when you use that word. Would you agree? No, no, listen,
- 49:59Speaker 1: I'm going to say it with you, but I'm not
- 50:00Speaker 1: going to say it to my mama. You know what
- 50:02Speaker 1: I mean? I'm not going to be like, mom, you
- 50:04Speaker 1: made a nigga real happy with these pancakes. Yeah. No.
- 50:07Speaker 1: I'm saying it to you. I'm saying it to my friends.
- 50:09Speaker 1: You can say it to your mama because she grew
- 50:11Speaker 1: up in that space. No, my mom's Jamaican, so she'll
- 50:13Speaker 1: be like, what are you going to say? No. You
- 50:16Speaker 1: wouldn't call your mom, nigga. No, I wouldn't call her,
- 50:19Speaker 1: but I would use... You would say nigga around her. Yeah,
- 50:22Speaker 1: I would use the word around her. But my mom
- 50:24Speaker 1: would correct me. So I probably wouldn't even say it
- 50:26Speaker 1: around her. Because if I'm messing with my brother, my son,
- 50:28Speaker 1: my nigga, what you doing? Right. Your mom wouldn't go, uh, uh, uh? No. No.
- 50:33Speaker 1: I'd be like, nigga, what? So your mama's a cool-ass nigga? Yeah. Okay. Yeah.
- 50:38Speaker 1: It's just something like you're just used to it. We're
- 50:41Speaker 1: used to it. That's just what we do. It's in
- 50:43Speaker 1: the lexicon. There you go. All right. Let's talk about
- 50:46Speaker 1: my homegirl, one of my favorite niggas. Who? Mia Long. Oh, Mia. Oh,
- 50:54Speaker 1: my God. She's my heart. She's like a sister to me.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I don't know why I draw a blank sometimes when
- 50:59Speaker 1: they ask me about dream girls or whatever, like who...
- 51:02Speaker 1: Like a crush or whatever. She's one of them. It
- 51:06Speaker 1: just escapes me.
- 51:07Speaker 2: They put a list together and created a poll of
- 51:10Speaker 2: our finest black leading women.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Halle, Sanad Lathan, you name them. Guess who came up
- 51:19Speaker 1: number one? Nia. Nia Long. Oh, yeah. You know she's
- 51:23Speaker 1: been in like 15 rap songs. People love Nia Long,
- 51:27Speaker 1: so they hear her finally getting her just due. Yeah.
- 51:30Speaker 1: the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I'm so
- 51:33Speaker 1: proud of you and I'll be there. Yeah, I may
- 51:36Speaker 1: be there too. I may be there too. I'll be
- 51:40Speaker 1: his guest. It's plus one. But yeah, I mean, Neil Long,
- 51:43Speaker 1: obviously there was a lot of the scandal, the controversy
- 51:46Speaker 1: with Ume Udoka, who was at that time the coach
- 51:50Speaker 1: of the Boston Celtics. And then obviously like Somebody like that.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Who got a job real quick like a white man.
- 51:55Speaker 1: That's crazy. Like nobody does that in our, he needs
- 51:57Speaker 1: to be analyzed. That's crazy. Whatever he did, he needs
- 52:00Speaker 1: to teach classes, have a TED Talk. What? Nobody black
- 52:04Speaker 1: gets fired and then sits for a year and gets
- 52:06Speaker 1: another head coaching job like that. Not that cool. Ime,
- 52:09Speaker 1: you need to do a TED Talk. But obviously, like
- 52:13Speaker 1: you said, I mean, that was obviously traumatic. That's not something,
- 52:16Speaker 1: that's not an experience that, any woman should experience. You
- 52:19Speaker 1: have to go too short. Yeah, but I think when
- 52:21Speaker 1: you look at her, like, why would you fumble Nia Long? Like, why? Like, why?
- 52:28Speaker 1: What in your right mind would make you want to
- 52:31Speaker 1: cheat on Nia Long? Like, what was it about her
- 52:35Speaker 1: that she wasn't doing that you could find in somebody else?
- 52:39Speaker 1: You sound like them. Who? Them niggas? Women. Ha ha ha!
- 52:46Speaker 1: Let me tell you what my friend Ren Troy Brown
- 52:50Speaker 1: told me. Hold on. Before you tell me what Ren
- 52:51Speaker 1: Troy Brown said, but my thing is like when you
- 52:54Speaker 1: find somebody like that, like I've always like I've run
- 52:57Speaker 1: into Neil Long several times. When I used to live
- 52:59Speaker 1: in the Valley, we have P.O. boxes that I run
- 53:02Speaker 1: into a couple of times and I damn near stopped
- 53:03Speaker 1: in my track. I'm like, yo, this is Neil Long.
- 53:07Speaker 1: What should I say? Should I say anything? But we
- 53:09Speaker 1: run into each other a couple of times at our P.O. box.
- 53:11Speaker 1: And I just, I spoke or whatever. And I was like, yo,
- 53:14Speaker 1: when she, I'm like, yo, this is crazy. Like, this
- 53:16Speaker 1: is Nia Long. Like, she's beautiful. And then figure out
- 53:20Speaker 1: and find out she was dating this guy. And then
- 53:21Speaker 1: he phoned with her. And I'm like, yo, like, what
- 53:23Speaker 1: is her type? Like, what does it take to get
- 53:25Speaker 1: a lady, a woman like Nia Long? Do you think?
- 53:28Speaker 1: She would like somebody like me, or is she scarred
- 53:30Speaker 1: from men? And I heard that there was some talk
- 53:32Speaker 1: about sneaky links and things of that nature. Her friend
- 53:35Speaker 1: was talking on some podcast. I don't know. Do you
- 53:37Speaker 1: think I got a chance? I think you got a shot.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Do you think I got a chance? Yes. Do you
- 53:40Speaker 1: know her personally? Yes, that's my friend. We're going to
- 53:43Speaker 1: go together. She's getting her start. But I don't want
- 53:45Speaker 1: her to just go, but I mean, do you think
- 53:47Speaker 1: I have a chance? Do you think somebody like me
- 53:49Speaker 1: would have a chance? Everybody has a chance. I like it.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Any given Sunday, baby. Any given Sunday. So let me
- 53:55Speaker 1: tell you a story my boy Ren said. Because some
- 53:57Speaker 1: girl said, let me ask you something. Why do men cheat?
- 54:01Speaker 1: You know what he said? Have you ever had some pussy?
- 54:12Speaker 1: and then he talked that answers it that answers it
- 54:16Speaker 1: this may not air but that is the answer and
- 54:19Speaker 1: then his grandfather told him something as a kid are
- 54:22Speaker 1: you ready for this one no a lady asked his
- 54:25Speaker 1: grandfather would you ever cheat he said not as a
- 54:30Speaker 1: habit but I will fuck under pressure We got to
- 54:38Speaker 1: have Red on the show. Nonetheless, Neil Long, we are
- 54:41Speaker 1: so proud of you. Long time coming. Oh, man. And
- 54:46Speaker 1: bringing me in the date. Oh, man, let's go. No, no,
- 54:51Speaker 1: for sure. I've run into her on an airplane, too.
- 54:54Speaker 1: But her and Emae are back together, so you might
- 54:55Speaker 1: not have a shot. No, they're not. Yes, they are.
- 54:57Speaker 1: They are? Yeah. No. Yeah. Stop playing. Let's see when
- 55:05Speaker 1: we show up next week. No. No, you can't be
- 55:08Speaker 1: doing that. No, you can't. Don't do that. We'll meet
- 55:10Speaker 1: her at the post office. Breaking news. Get to the point.
- 55:16Speaker 1: Breaking news. Perfect segue into Tyler Perry's Why'd I Get
- 55:19Speaker 1: Married Again. Listen, let me tell you something. Why did
- 55:22Speaker 1: she go back to email you again? He's a handsome fellow. Oh, man.
- 55:26Speaker 1: I'm handsome. Nigga, what? You should have hollered at her.
- 55:28Speaker 1: You knew her before him. Sometimes you just don't feel
- 55:32Speaker 1: like you, you know. You're their speed. It's not that
- 55:35Speaker 1: I don't feel like I'm worthy, but sometimes you just
- 55:38Speaker 1: feel like you're not in there. I've been rejected a
- 55:42Speaker 1: number of times. So you should have shot it at her. Yeah,
- 55:45Speaker 1: I should have shot my shot. It's not too late
- 55:47Speaker 1: because I don't really bleed. I don't bleed. Well, we'll
- 55:49Speaker 1: see if he's there at the ceremony. Nonetheless, Tyler Perry's
- 55:54Speaker 1: Why'd I Get Married Again was my favorite of the trilogy.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Have you seen it yet? It's on Netflix? Yeah. It's great. Oh, yeah.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Tasha Smith, Mike Jai White. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Richard T.
- 56:04Speaker 1: Jones is absolutely fantastic. Oh, yeah. Sharon Leal. His hair piece. Taraji. Oh,
- 56:08Speaker 1: my God. Yeah, that shit was funny. Hilarious. And they
- 56:11Speaker 1: did a great job. Da Vinci is in there, too.
- 56:13Speaker 1: Da Vinci. That's my boy. Yeah, yeah. Da Vinci kills it. Yep, yep, yep.
- 56:17Speaker 1: And they did a guy, Jill Scott is in it. Yeah, right, right.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I said Tasha Smith already. Yeah, exactly. They did a
- 56:23Speaker 1: great job of basically... showing the younger generation, I don't
- 56:29Speaker 1: want to give the movie away, that you're going to
- 56:33Speaker 1: make mistakes. Family, not, because as parents, you try to
- 56:38Speaker 1: paint a perfect picture for your kids. Oh, so you
- 56:40Speaker 1: did see it. I just told you. I told you
- 56:43Speaker 1: earlier that I saw it. You hesitated. That's CTE. Be
- 56:46Speaker 1: fucking with you. Yeah, yeah. If I hesitate, I think
- 56:48Speaker 1: I'm playing basketball, so I hesitate. No, but I did
- 56:52Speaker 1: see it. I watched it in its entirety. And yeah,
- 56:54Speaker 1: I love the basis, the premise of it. allowing kids
- 56:58Speaker 1: to make mistakes. Lamar Rucker. Sorry about that. Yeah. And
- 57:02Speaker 1: understanding that they can make mistakes. Absolutely. You're going to
- 57:06Speaker 1: make mistakes. Things aren't going to be perfect. You know
- 57:09Speaker 1: what I mean? And you can move forward in your imperfections.
- 57:12Speaker 1: And I think as parents, we try to shield our
- 57:15Speaker 1: kids from a lot of things for the better. Right.
- 57:19Speaker 1: But as they get older, I think it's at some
- 57:22Speaker 1: point you have to really educate your kids and really
- 57:24Speaker 1: show them that, yo, we're not perfect. We may show
- 57:28Speaker 1: you how things are supposed to be, but behind closed doors,
- 57:31Speaker 1: and that's how a lot of couples are. In the
- 57:34Speaker 1: eye of public opinion, you think that everything is... Hunky-dory
- 57:38Speaker 1: and perfect. Right, rainbows and everything, but behind closed doors,
- 57:44Speaker 1: it's a storm going on. But that just shows you
- 57:47Speaker 1: the maturity in their relationship that they can go outside
- 57:50Speaker 1: of that and show that, like, okay, we're still together,
- 57:53Speaker 1: but we're working behind the scenes. That is the end
- 57:55Speaker 1: of our show, ladies and gentlemen. Get to the point.
