- 0:21Speaker 3: He is, isn't he but tired?
- 0:22Speaker 2: Jason but hungover? They'll go easy on Hoidy j Day
- 0:26Speaker 2: the Green round the gills?
- 0:27Speaker 4: Mate, No, no, I no, I'm good. I was. I was.
- 0:31Speaker 5: I was a little bit grumpy before, but that you
- 0:34Speaker 5: grumpy a bit. I'm not going to go into why
- 0:36Speaker 5: I was grumpy.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I know where you're grumpy, just because if you've been
- 0:40Speaker 3: asked to do something really straightforward.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Well at least you never funny had on.
- 0:46Speaker 3: At least you went just like us.
- 0:51Speaker 4: In the US.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I think I don't. I know that you
- 0:54Speaker 3: can't say the R.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Word, and the other one I said was mounged out.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You can't, So I don't even realize the origins of that.
- 1:00Speaker 3: So you say that's interesting that you didn't know that.
- 1:03Speaker 2: No, it's just a saying that I said because the
- 1:05Speaker 2: original is it mongoloid? Is that the word?
- 1:09Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:09Speaker 3: So that wasn't a word and common and common parlance
- 1:13Speaker 3: mongol yes.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So none of that stuff was around when I was
- 1:17Speaker 2: at school. It was just the R word.
- 1:18Speaker 3: It was a pretty standard chat, wasn't it back in
- 1:20Speaker 3: now day? Got a kid, wakep to yourself.
- 1:27Speaker 5: You heard that, man, And so it was very standing
- 1:30Speaker 5: in my day for sure.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm sure it was for you, but.
- 1:33Speaker 5: I never used it, but it was very standy.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Yeah. So when when I had said that and you
- 1:38Speaker 2: can't say that, I had to then figure out why
- 1:40Speaker 2: I couldn't say that. I google it and I was like,
- 1:43Speaker 2: you can't say that, and I was okay, that makes.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Yeah, the reality is founds. You can say whatever the
- 1:47Speaker 5: fuck you want if you're prepared to, you know, just
- 1:50Speaker 5: just own it, man. David Brent for David Brent, David Bain,
- 1:56Speaker 5: David Banner, Yeah, David Banner, he's big on that.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Seymour.
- 2:02Speaker 5: Ricky Gervais, Yeah, he's he gets very fired up about that, tubbet.
- 2:07Speaker 5: He's like, everything can be made fun of, and I
- 2:10Speaker 5: won't have it any other one.
- 2:11Speaker 3: It's interesting about Ricky Gervas is that he's not funny
- 2:14Speaker 3: anymore to stand up.
- 2:16Speaker 5: It's pretty brutal, or fuck, it's ship.
- 2:19Speaker 4: Brutal.
- 2:20Speaker 3: But his whole thing is like I've got all the
- 2:23Speaker 3: wisdom and I'll show you. But he's sort of like,
- 2:25Speaker 3: it's just all he does is punch is down. Yes,
- 2:28Speaker 3: and he does it for comedy special after comedy special.
- 2:31Speaker 3: It's like, Okay, I get it. You think trans things
- 2:33Speaker 3: isn't a big deal. Yes, like I've got it.
- 2:35Speaker 5: Yeah, And now he's definitely got that funny. He's definitely
- 2:39Speaker 5: got that air of you know, I'm the man, and
- 2:41Speaker 5: I know what's you know, and you're all just wrong
- 2:44Speaker 5: and really good. Yes, but no, I wasn't really grumpy.
- 2:50Speaker 5: I was just tired, grumpy burst.
- 2:53Speaker 2: I'm actually I actually am tired and grumpy.
- 2:55Speaker 5: I thought you were hungover, but only because I realized
- 2:58Speaker 5: it was your birthday last night.
- 2:59Speaker 4: You've got rings under your eyes.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Who's the birthday boy?
- 3:02Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 3:03Speaker 4: And you got that dory eyed look that you get.
- 3:05Speaker 2: We had we had enough beers last night to not
- 3:09Speaker 2: be too hungover, but to certainly be tired, right, you
- 3:11Speaker 2: know what I mean? So it was still fine, and
- 3:13Speaker 2: then Pugs insisted on getting a lift home from my wife.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So that added like another you know, half an hour
- 3:18Speaker 2: to my night.
- 3:20Speaker 4: I was that why Pugs is in that mood?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, because at first we're like, we're not going that way, man,
- 3:24Speaker 2: it's actually quite out of our way.
- 3:25Speaker 5: And then he insisted yeah yeah, yeah, so that well,
- 3:29Speaker 5: now it's just more than he got on it, you
- 3:31Speaker 5: know what I mean.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I came in today.
- 3:34Speaker 5: It was one of those situations where you've got to
- 3:37Speaker 5: read the room. You got to read the.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Room, and.
- 3:41Speaker 5: You know, it's like, actually, I'm not going to take
- 3:44Speaker 5: the piss out of Pugs today because I think he'll
- 3:46Speaker 5: heal today. Man, he'll elbow me in the face if
- 3:48Speaker 5: I say the wrong thing. So I'm just gonna shut
- 3:50Speaker 5: my gob and get grumpy myself.
- 3:54Speaker 2: That'll fix it.
- 3:55Speaker 5: I'll focus on my grumpiness and not on pugsuns.
- 3:59Speaker 3: That's the ticket, man. Yeah.
- 4:00Speaker 2: What's your take on this?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Oh, I'm indifferent.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Did you guys compliment Pugs's haircut that he's head out
- 4:07Speaker 2: for the first time in Ages?
- 4:08Speaker 5: No, well I didn't really notice it, to be honest,
- 4:12Speaker 5: as he always wears.
- 4:13Speaker 2: A cat exactly, so the first day he hasn't wont
- 4:15Speaker 2: a cap in Ages and he looks sick, and he
- 4:18Speaker 2: didn't say anything.
- 4:19Speaker 5: Well, as I say, he was in a mood, so
- 4:21Speaker 5: I didn't want to.
- 4:22Speaker 4: I didn't want to sort of poke.
- 4:23Speaker 2: The beer, right, okay, yeah, yeah.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Yeah, but no, I'm good. We're all about time today,
- 4:31Speaker 5: which actually I find possibly means it's going to be
- 4:34Speaker 5: a good show, because I find I do my best
- 4:36Speaker 5: stuff sometimes when I'm feeling tired.
- 4:38Speaker 3: Do you what qualifies as your best?
- 4:40Speaker 5: Oh, you'll see. You just listened to the show again,
- 4:43Speaker 5: You'll see what I mean.
- 4:44Speaker 2: You obviously haven't been tied for a while.
- 4:46Speaker 5: Then I look, I'm tired every day at my age,
- 4:49Speaker 5: keezy and my sleeps that I have full disclosure.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Last night my wife started sneezing at the dinner table.
- 4:57Speaker 2: We thought it was allergies. This morning she's woken up
- 4:58Speaker 2: with a sore throat.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Ah COVID potentially, I don't know. That's the thing. And
- 5:04Speaker 3: the thing I call that guy was it just w past?
- 5:07Speaker 3: He had chewing gum. That's pretty sick, that's cool, and
- 5:12Speaker 3: a sweger. Did you see that pog Son? Did you
- 5:14Speaker 3: see him? He was pretty awesome. We'll talk more about
- 5:16Speaker 3: that after this.
- 5:17Speaker 5: And he was wearing shorts.
- 5:18Speaker 3: No, he's in a suit.
- 5:20Speaker 4: I was looking at the wrong guy.
- 5:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I was looking at the guy in the shorts.
- 5:24Speaker 3: I forgot. I was gonna say, no she had COVID.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Oh yeah, she's got COVID. And because we share a bed,
- 5:29Speaker 2: oh yes, And so now do you sleep with your wife? Yeah?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Share the whole ky Big Show days from four on
- 5:41Speaker 1: Radio Hiarchy They Big Show Podcast.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Do you not?
- 5:46Speaker 3: Oh?
- 5:47Speaker 2: You guys are rocking the two singles and two rooms?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Right?
- 5:49Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:50Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Who's the double?
- 5:51Speaker 3: Still, isn't it?
- 5:52Speaker 4: Who's the double? Minds?
- 5:53Speaker 3: A single year?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Do you think you can even go back to a
- 5:55Speaker 2: single bed?
- 5:55Speaker 4: Mine's more of an mine's a bunk.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Every now and then I sleep in the single bed
- 5:59Speaker 3: that we've got an air spare room, and it is
- 6:02Speaker 3: not a good it's not good fun. Just hang off
- 6:06Speaker 3: the bars.
- 6:07Speaker 5: The single in our house is actually really comfortable, really
- 6:11Speaker 5: well not but I even sleep in it. But you
- 6:12Speaker 5: know what I mean, it's sure very comfortable.
- 6:15Speaker 3: The reason I find uncomfortable was because we're too long,
- 6:17Speaker 3: too long for a single bed.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, I agree with that. I don't actually actually,
- 6:23Speaker 2: here's a dilemma. Let's say Lucy is sick right, what
- 6:26Speaker 2: she is tonight. If I want to avoid getting sick,
- 6:28Speaker 2: which one of us has to sleep in the spare room.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Well, I think the sick person should retain the room
- 6:34Speaker 3: the room. I think they should be as comfortable as
- 6:37Speaker 3: possible in their sickness. You know. But having said that,
- 6:41Speaker 3: if I'm sick, I always have to go into the speirroom.
- 6:44Speaker 5: What do you think, Jason, I'm still getting my head
- 6:47Speaker 5: around the fact that you sleep in the same bed together.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but I just try and put it to one side.
- 6:53Speaker 3: M sorry, sorry, guys.
- 6:56Speaker 5: What what happens to our family if I'm I don't
- 7:01Speaker 5: use I don't go in our beard.
- 7:02Speaker 4: I sleep on the couch.
- 7:04Speaker 5: On the couch or the second And that's in fearness
- 7:08Speaker 5: to my wife. That's not her call, that's my call.
- 7:10Speaker 5: I just go, I'm not going to get you sick
- 7:12Speaker 5: as well. So I well, to be fair, I mean
- 7:14Speaker 5: you're in the same house. I mean, if you've got something,
- 7:16Speaker 5: they're going to get it too.
- 7:17Speaker 4: Probably.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Well, the two times that covids into our house have
- 7:20Speaker 2: been through my wife. So I've only had COVID once
- 7:23Speaker 2: and she brought it in and gave it to me
- 7:24Speaker 2: after a long stint of not having it here you go.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And then she brought it in a second time and
- 7:28Speaker 2: I managed to avoid it. So she's potentially got it
- 7:32Speaker 2: a third time now and I'm the one that has
- 7:33Speaker 2: to leave for another room. What's that about? Why am
- 7:35Speaker 2: I getting punished for her, you know, bringing these viruses
- 7:38Speaker 2: into our house?
- 7:39Speaker 3: Yeah? Because she did it on purpose?
- 7:41Speaker 2: No, it doesn't matter though.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Did she go to work?
- 7:46Speaker 2: No, she's away for the weekend down in christ Church
- 7:48Speaker 2: with girls night ah I seek today. No, No, she
- 7:52Speaker 2: was going to because she's one of those people that
- 7:54Speaker 2: just cannot not go to work because she feels bad.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And I was like, if you're going to work and
- 7:58Speaker 2: get people sick, you will feel ten times worse. So yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I know.
- 8:03Speaker 3: And also between a rock and a hard place here, that's.
- 8:05Speaker 2: A really good point. Actually, it's a good saying. But
- 8:10Speaker 2: she also is one of those people that just gets
- 8:12Speaker 2: fuming whenever someone's sick at work, so it's like, come on, man,
- 8:14Speaker 2: don't be that person.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Yeah, fair enough.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Interesting to see how it goes, because you've got to
- 8:18Speaker 3: go down to Wellington this week for Bevanna Pivanai Havanna.
- 8:25Speaker 5: How are you feeling about that?
- 8:26Speaker 4: Keys?
- 8:26Speaker 2: What do you mean? How am I feeling about that?
- 8:28Speaker 4: Wow, I'm feeling great about Magi's. Is you have to
- 8:30Speaker 4: go down to Beavana?
- 8:32Speaker 3: You feel about it?
- 8:33Speaker 2: Is this a new thing where it's just me going?
- 8:36Speaker 2: I don't. I mean, no, I know, and I thought
- 8:39Speaker 2: about that, and I don't want to miss it because
- 8:41Speaker 2: I'm actually really looking forward to Wellington, so I might
- 8:44Speaker 2: go off. I might go spear room tonight.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Oh.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Plus, I sleep better in another bed, do you.
- 8:52Speaker 4: So?
- 8:52Speaker 5: Are you saying that you have terrible sleep most nights
- 8:56Speaker 5: because your wife's in the bed with you?
- 9:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:00Speaker 2: No, I don't have a terrible sleep most nights. I'd
- 9:02Speaker 2: definitely sleep worse with someone in my bed than I
- 9:05Speaker 2: would if I was sold. I think it's fair, but
- 9:07Speaker 2: I just shut up and get on with it, you know. Yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 2: isn't that weird? But I'd prefer to sleep in my
- 9:13Speaker 2: bed with my wife then, just solo.
- 9:15Speaker 5: The sacrifices we makeeping with our wives and curling up
- 9:21Speaker 5: to their beautiful warm bodies at night with a cool
- 9:25Speaker 5: chill wind outside and hail there and the wind whistling.
- 9:29Speaker 4: In the roof.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Has it been hailing at your house?
- 9:31Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 9:31Speaker 5: It has been, Actually we had so much hail.
- 9:34Speaker 4: When last night?
- 9:36Speaker 2: Did we have hale last night?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Yes?
- 9:37Speaker 5: That it was like our lawn was white this morning?
- 9:40Speaker 4: What time I got up? That was five point thirty.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I was up at six this morning and I didn't
- 9:45Speaker 2: see any hail on our.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Well, ours was white, right.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I also didn't see or hear of any hale last night.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Yes, I feel like this is a massive yarn.
- 9:54Speaker 4: I'm just telling you what.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Yes, I'm making up a story about hail.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Well, look, Jace, would that be a surprise.
- 10:02Speaker 5: Because that's, you know, exciting. I did this thing too,
- 10:08Speaker 5: when we go to bed and it starts raining. I
- 10:13Speaker 5: always said in my wife, I ordered that for you.
- 10:16Speaker 2: You've told us about this, and also you go for
- 10:18Speaker 2: a walk with her, point out houses and go I
- 10:19Speaker 2: bought that for you.
- 10:21Speaker 5: No, well yeah, no, but more than we are driving,
- 10:26Speaker 5: because I don't really walk with.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Her, you know what I mean?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Just chicken the news, chap Fellers, any hail, Jace, You
- 10:35Speaker 2: just admit that there was no hail last night.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Well, I tempted to call up someone I was working
- 10:40Speaker 5: with today who said she went out on her lawn
- 10:43Speaker 5: this morning and her kids thought that it snowed there
- 10:46Speaker 5: was so much hail.
- 10:47Speaker 2: On way out west like you are?
- 10:49Speaker 4: No, Wow, she's Mungoty.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Bridge, right, That is so weird.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, there's different areas, you know, with different areas of
- 10:59Speaker 5: walk and you know it doesn't all happen in one place.
- 11:02Speaker 3: That's true, it doesn't.
- 11:03Speaker 5: It's weird that it happened to the text and notorious
- 11:06Speaker 5: for terrible storm.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I'm out west as well, and I was about six
- 11:10Speaker 2: this morning. I'm out No you are? And how is
- 11:16Speaker 2: it not? And it wasn't snowing at Mogi's house? Well,
- 11:19Speaker 2: not snow anyway.
- 11:20Speaker 3: No, well it certainly wasn't. Certainly wasn't cold enough for that.
- 11:24Speaker 3: That's not in It was quite warm.
- 11:26Speaker 2: It was hot. It just seems just a lot of it.
- 11:28Speaker 3: We took a blanket off the beard it was so warm.
- 11:30Speaker 3: It feels like it didn't happen. But why don't we
- 11:32Speaker 3: get why don't we do a poll today?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Did it last night? Or was hoj doing it for attention?
- 11:41Speaker 4: Exactly?
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's okay, Joe, So we don't put muscle on everything.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Man, Sure I know, tell the story, Keezy, tell it true?
- 11:49Speaker 5: Charming crazy mate?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that's actually a good saying.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Thanks mate.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Hey, listen to Hurdcky Big Show fotall seven every single
- 11:56Speaker 2: week down on Radiohoduck. It's really good, even when we're tired.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah it tire day
- 12:02Speaker 4: Step mm hmm
