- Lisa Wilson: So I was scrolling on the gram as we do, and I came across a story of a woman that was doing a play-by-play of how she was in a fight with a demon and then stabbed the demon, and then all these witches showed up to also fight her. And I was like, ma'am, you need to pick a genre. Like, listen, I got I have weirdness. I know I have weirdness, but even I have a line. So I think that I I kind of had this epiphany that maybe there is such a thing as too woo. Like, is there such a thing as too much woo? And I think I may have seen that line and and I'm not sure if I want to cross it, but you know what? Let's get into it. So, like before we even get into today's episode, I want to ask you, just Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: for my own curiosity, what Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: is the woo-iest thing you've done this week or recently? Lisa S: Ooh, I mean, there's always some kind of new manifestation type of like practice I'm always trying. So I Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: think that would probably be the newest thing I've tried. I try a lot all the time, What about you? Lisa Wilson: So I've been working on the podcast like all week, Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: making big swings. And I have started burning a sage candle. Like whenever Lisa S: Nice. Lisa Wilson: I'm working on the pod to get like any negative energy away from the computer. I mean, considering that like before we started kind of doing the podcast, I was very much like, meh. And now I'm like Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Come on, come on spirit guys, tell me what I need to do to get into Claude. Lisa S: So you have always said like, I'm not into woo, I'm not a woo, you're the woo, I'm not the woo. You're getting way more woo. Way more woo. Because I think that you finally realized that there might be something to some of this. Maybe, I don't know. Lisa Wilson: yes, a hundred percent yes. I mean, we talked about our tarot readings, right? Like it like I'm Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I'm rolling the dice and I'm in. Like, let's go. Lisa S: Yes, yes. Lisa Wilson: But like I think that that woo is way more mainstream than it used to be. I have friends in my immediate circle that are do all sorts of woo stuff, but don't tell Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: anybody. Like they don't want anybody to know because that's Lisa S: Mmm. Lisa Wilson: that's They're not out doing a podcast. You know what mean? But Lisa S: Yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: they have their little thing. So I think that although Woo is mainstream, I think that you and I are definitely embracing the Woo 100%. But I think maybe, Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: maybe we even we have our own lines, right? Lisa S: I have, yes, yes, I would say that I have, Lisa Wilson: All right. Lisa S: and I try so much. Like I try Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: anything and all the things. I mean, there's Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: definitely some things I want to try that I haven't tried yet, Lisa Wilson: is there any woo that you really wanted to try, but you have not done it yet? Lisa S: Yes, I want to do the aura photograph. I wanna do that so bad. And I know this lady, like in a different city that she like talks about it a lot, like that she has Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: somebody that like does it for you. And I would love that because you also have to like get someone that you kind of trust too, I think in it, Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: like just don't go to the mall and get it done. mean, I'm sure they're fine too, but like I want. Lisa Wilson: Go into like one of those little kiosks in the mall. Some guy named Mark. Lisa S: Yeah, I mean, I just don't know if like your aura photograph from Mark at the mall is probably going to be legit, but I would like to do that and then have it read. Lisa Wilson: Legit Like Olan Mills Lisa S: JCPenney's, don't go to JCPenney's and get your aura photograph. I wanna do that. That is one thing that's Lisa Wilson: Okay. Lisa S: on my list that I would love to do. Lisa Wilson: So we're gonna answer either I'm in or too woo. Like too woo. Okay. All right. Lisa S: Okay. All right. Okay. Lisa Wilson: So knocking on wood. Lisa S: I'm in. I do it all the time. Lisa Wilson: I mean, if you don't knock on wood, someone could die. Lisa S: Yeah, I mean, it's like it becomes like what seals the situation. Lisa Wilson: like with someone if I spill salt over the shoulder, but like with the urgency of dismantling a bomb. Like I have to quickly Lisa S: Ha ha ha! Lisa Wilson: get it, like do it, just make sure it went over my shoulder. Lisa S: mean, that's a, those are superstitions that like, Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: we cannot, you can't, you have to do it. Yeah, Lisa Wilson: Yeah, yeah. okay, so blaming Mercury retrograde for your whole week. Lisa S: 100%. I do all the time. I mean, I know the dates of Mercury retrograde. I mean, we've got one coming up October 24th, I think. It's at the end of October. Goes through the major, like all of November, I think. So yeah, I live my life by Mercury retrograde. Lisa Wilson: So so I I mean I'm in because I blame things Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: on Mercury retrograde when it's not happening. Lisa S: Like yesterday or something like, my computer's off. Lisa Wilson: I'm just like, damn that Mercury retrograde ruining my pasta. Lisa S: It's not even anywhere to be found. Okay. I like it. Lisa Wilson: Yeah, nowhere. Nowhere near. all right. So this one, burning sage. Lisa S: So I used to burn sage a lot, but I don't do it anymore. I really don't. I haven't really found that there's a benefit for me. So I don't Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: burn it anymore. How about you? Lisa Wilson: So I don't burn sage sage, but these candles, these sage candles, Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Turnrow, bath, and body. I literally had her make them off season because I ran out and I was panicking. Lisa S: So it's your version of the sage is your candles. Okay, I love it. Lisa Wilson: Yes, yes, ex yes, correct. So I have one whenever I'm like so in a space where I need to feel safe, I light that candle. And that is that is a true story. Okay. Lisa S: like it. Okay. Lisa Wilson: You check his sign before a first date. Lisa S: I I would because I do believe in astrology. So I would, yes. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. So I I'm not into astrology and you know, I it's been eight hundred years since I met someone new or went on a date. I would be more into like doing a background checking, making sure he wasn't a criminal before I checked his sign. Lisa S: That's fair. That's absolutely fair. Lisa Wilson: Okay, so this one I'd never heard of. A crystal in your bra. Lisa S: 100%. Okay, so Lisa, yes, I do it all the time. I don't have one in there right now. But you get the little, they just have to be like little pebbles and you can get the ones that are like polished. So it doesn't have to be like spiky. And Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: yes, I put different ones in there for whatever reason. If it's a big career thing, if it's a protection thing, yeah, all the time. Lisa Wilson: So too woo. Too woo for me. Lisa S: Yeah, no, Lisa Wilson: but I will say I did hear a long time ago, and one of my friends was like, if you're looking for love, you need to put Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: lavender in your bra. Because apparently that is a love magnet. Lisa S: Hmm, like a stick of lavender? Lisa Wilson: Like some just like a little lavender flower or like a little like Lisa S: A twig? Lisa Wilson: like yeah, she just put lavender in her bra. Mm. Yeah. Lisa S: Okay. I mean, hey, not going to knock anything. Let's try it all. Try it all. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. I mean, So now this one I need you to explain to me. So, but if I didn't answer, crystal in the bra is too woo for me, but lavender in the bra, just woo enough. Like I don't at least Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: worst of all, you're gonna sweat and put everyone to sleep with your smelly lavenderness. Right? Lisa S: There go, there you go. Lisa Wilson: Lisa, how many times do we have ladies pay us out of their bras? Lisa S: So many, too many, too many. Lisa Wilson: Like and out of their panties. They pull money out of their underwear. And I'm like, all right. I guess we're it's all panty money though. Lisa S: Like, ooh, right, well, money, it all spends the same. Lisa Wilson: Right. So this next one I did not understand. You need to explain it to me. What Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: is moon water? Lisa S: you put water out in a full moon and it, you know, purifies and it like ignites the water like becomes moon water. Like, Lisa Wilson: What do you mean it ignites the water? Like I don't understand. Lisa S: like it, it gives the energy of the moon, it puts the energy of the moon into the water. So yes. And that it's good for like manifesting and stuff as well with moon water. I mean, we put our, we put our rocks out. in the moon when there's a full moon to cleanse Lisa Wilson: What are you talking about? What rocks? Lisa S: to cleanse your rocks to cleanse your crystals you put them out yeah Lisa Wilson: your crystals. Lisa S: yeah you put them out in a full moon and you put them outside so Lisa Wilson: Dude, I love that you do that, but all of that is too woo for me. Too woo for me. I just I Lisa S: Okay, that's great. Lisa Wilson: I I mean, did I go out in the middle of the night to see the blood moon? Yes, I did. Because I had to, Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: it was like a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and I had to see that. But like I will, like, I'm gonna have a confession. So one of my friends Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: was telling me that they were so excited about their moon water from the blood moon. And I had no fucking idea what she was talking about. But I Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: was like, good for you, girl. You get that. Lisa S: I'm so glad that you have some water that I mean did you did you even did you ask how she did it? Yeah, it's just a cup of water like you just put it out there Lisa Wilson: I just I just high fived her emotionally because I didn't know what else to do. Lisa S: But see, like, that's the thing is, like, I don't tell you all the things that I do, but Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: you would probably, yeah, you would probably laugh at me. Lisa Wilson: I mean that's a th I would never laugh at you, number one. I would just make you think I knew what you were talking about when I didn't. Lisa S: You're like, that's so great. Can I have some? Next time you come down here, give me a little drop of it. Lisa Wilson: Exactly. I mean that's the Lisa S: Is this your moon water? Is this your moon water? Lisa Wilson: You got you got my number. so now that we've established that like like we like I have lots of weirdness on my own and and it takes a lot to be too woo for me. I'll give you guys some examples later, but none of those things I don't think were real like too woo. Like if you're like Lisa, you gotta put this in your bra for good luck, would I do it? Fuck yes, I would do it. A hundred percent. Like if you said it Lisa S: Yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: was gonna work, I would do it. But it's not something I'm gonna maintain or do on my own and I don't know. But the other part of there's like different types of woo, as you and I, we've been talking a lot about it. And Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I think the one of the things that really struck me, there's two, but this one I was kind of like, the woo too hard. Like it's just too hard to do this woo. Like it just takes too Lisa S: Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: much to do this woo. So Is there something that you've been like just really trying to go all in, give it all your effort? And then you're just like, Yeah, this is hard. Lisa S: Well, yeah, and I was actually, I came across this stuff the other day and I was like, I should do that again. Then I remembered how awful it was. So I'm like not going to do it because Lisa Wilson: Okay. Lisa S: I'm like, OK, so you know how we can like go down a rabbit hole on social media and like all of sudden there's these huge trends that like everybody's doing and you have to do it or you're going to die. Like they Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: found a cure for all for everything. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: So I fell into the trap and plus, you know, a lot of people that I know was trying this detox thing too. So it wasn't like Lisa Wilson: Hmm. Okay. Lisa S: it was just me on social media, like going down the wrong route. I knew people who were who was doing it. And so I was like, yeah, I want to do it. So it was a parasite cleanse because I was convinced that any health problem I ever had in my life I would just take these tinctures and this powder and all of these things that you put together and I was going to be the healthiest human. Because Lisa Wilson: Sure. Lisa S: this was what has been wrong with me for my whole life. Okay? So I buy all the stuff and Lisa Wilson: yes. Lisa S: I start taking it and it would literally make me physically gag. Like every morning I would dread having to do this like process. I ended up having to get like clear capsules and then put the powder in and then try to like take them as like a pill. I couldn't even do that. I was like, yeah, cause I knew it was going down my throat. And I like, I just couldn't do it. Couldn't do the drops, couldn't do the tinctures, just couldn't do it. I think be like a 30 day cleanse. I didn't make it even 30 days. I couldn't do it. So I was like, well that sucks. That was, that was like, That was a lot of money and that was like a lot of pain and Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: I'm just just not gonna care. But honestly, I like I didn't finish it. So I went through all of that and didn't even do it because I couldn't do it. It was too much. And I don't know if that's like necessarily woo. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: But it is it goes down a route of that you Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: are infested with parasites and you need to get rid of them Lisa Wilson: Well Lisa S: because you ate some sushi, okay? Lisa Wilson: Yeah. I think the w the whole like the healthier, better you is definitely wellness. wellness one thousand percent trapses along the line of woo, sometimes they are completely interchangeable. Like it's gonna get rid of everything that's ever been wrong with me. Like I think that that is so so for me, my thing Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: that was like woo too hard. Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: was my woo too hard was whole 30. So Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: whole 30 is a food program and I don't want to I'm not gonna TED talk this just essentially so okay so whole 30 Lisa S: I don't know what Whole30 is though. Lisa Wilson: is a food program where you don't eat sugar, you don't eat there's no Lisa S: Ew. Lisa Wilson: alcohol, there's no bread or gluten of any kind. And it really is basically Lisa S: Sounds like hell. Lisa Wilson: It is, it is again, you it's 30 days where you follow this Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: plan, You're doing this and like week two, you think you are the healthiest person in the world. And then by like Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: day twenty-one, you become really like a zealot where you're like, I am my optimal self. I'm never, Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: never gonna eat any of these foods ever again. And there are people that live their lives on this. It's only a it's like Lisa S: I mean, good for them. That sounds awful. Lisa Wilson: okay, so it's not only awful, it's really hard. Like it's really like Lisa S: Like, I'm just thinking like to cut out everything that has sugar in it would be so tur- like that hats off to you if you can do it. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Like sh yeah. Not even like vanilla. Like you can't even have sugar alcohols. Nothing. So listen, like again, kudos to people who don't think that it's too hard. But for me, Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: I just like I couldn't go out to eat. I couldn't like Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: I couldn't have a little treat, a little snacky snack, right? Like it just Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: really robbed the joy out of cause when you don't drink anyway. Food is really kind of entertainment, even though maybe it shouldn't be, but like going out to dinner is what I do for fun. So when you can't even do that, it's Lisa S: Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: like, ugh, this it just it became it became too much for me. I didn't I didn't Lisa S: Mm. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: like it. Lisa S: Well, and I think too, like if you if you move something so far out of balance that it does become kind of unhealthy, right? Like if you're Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: only eating meat or you're only eating vegetables or you're only Lisa Wilson: Yep. Lisa S: eating like what could you even eat on that diet? If there's no gluten. Lisa Wilson: It was a lot of vegetables. Lisa S: OK. Lisa Wilson: It was it was a lot of protein. So again, the woo woo Lisa S: terrible to live that way. Lisa Wilson: on the surface is like super fun, but sometimes it can just be too woo, right? Or then Lisa S: Yeah, true. Lisa Wilson: we we border on the scary woo, right? it just like you you put yourself like in these positions that you maybe you shouldn't be in. So for me, that's where I'm like, okay, like. Like there is a definitely a scary woo for me. And my Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: my scary woo was it you guys are gonna laugh So I loved hot yoga and I Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: had a hot yoga instructor that I fully had a girl crush on. She was Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: super snarky. She played like metal in her hot yoga classes. Lisa S: Nice! Lisa Wilson: And she had like all these tattoos, and like she was just, she was a lawyer. Like she was all the things I wanted to be when I grew up. And she was amazing at hot yoga. And she had such a following. Like we all loved her yoga classes so much that we would get there early. Like you'd paid, you were gonna get a spot, but you wanted your spot. And you wanted to like it became like a little thing, right? So you would get there, you'd wait. We'd yeah, I've missed work to go to classes before when she would hold pop up classes. I would just miss work and go to these classes and literally you Lisa S: You're like, gotta go. Gotta go to hot yoga. Lisa Wilson: got to go to hot yoga with with. The girl and everyone did, everyone else did too. I was not alone, right? And I think sometimes we we let these tribes we belong to temporarily kind of set the norms for us. You know, and we were Lisa S: Fair, that's fair. Lisa Wilson: all in this tribe with her, and we were happy to be there until like I started getting really tired and super, super dehydrated, and lo and behold, Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Five or six hot yoga classes a week is too much. And for me, I was like, this is I'm really not feeling well because I'm sweating so much. And I would I Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: can't, I couldn't replenish it. And I remember looking at IV treatments. So I could go and do, you know, the injections where you become h the hydration treatments. Lisa S: Yeah, yeah, Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: And I remember like a little bell went off in my head. I was like, okay. Lisa S: Like if you have to do that, then maybe let's fix the other part. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: Like maybe, maybe there's something else going on. Like maybe you need to look at your life and be like, Hey, Lisa S: Good Lisa Wilson: why am I avoiding everything and just going to high yoga all day, all night? Right? So I think that it got a little scary for me and it definitely Lisa S: Okay that's fair. Lisa Wilson: it definitely impacted my health. what about you? Lisa S: Well, I think maybe something that comes to mind that I think I let a little woo go too far. And it wasn't until, I don't know, maybe I was like six months or something in where I was like, hey, this is like starting to get weird. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: OK, so if you know me, you know that I am. love a psychic. I love a good psychic. Love it. have no problem calling one up if they're good, right? So Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: my first reading with him was like amazing. Like he could Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Lisa S: not have known some of the things that he said in my reading like from anything that I had on social media or or anything like there's no way possible. He was so to a T, so descriptive, so detailed that I was like this guy is the real deal. Like this is amazing. So what do I do after that reading? I tell everybody that I know like hey You gotta call this guy, like he's incredible. This is what he said. Like this was my experience in my reading and like I want you to have the same experience. Like he was so great. Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Lisa S: So what happens is pretty much everybody in my circle calls this guy, sets up an appointment. And so, I mean, even like my hairdresser, like everybody was calling him. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: Anyone that was in my circle. He was really just regurgitating readings past and then things I know he said to like, my friends or my family, like things that he had said maybe to somebody that I knew and then they told me and I was like, wait a second, that's not original. Like you told that to somebody that I know, you know? So then I was like, this has gone too far. I shared my psychic with my friends and family. I'm not doing that again. I'm just not going to do that again. Because I think what happened is he started to like grab information from other people and then started using it in their readings also knowing that they're connected to this person this way or they're connected to this person this way and I didn't like how that felt and so I cut them off. No Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Lisa S: more. Yeah. So it went too far. So Lisa Wilson: think if he had been malicious, Lisa, he could have used I mean, he could have really manipulated all of you based Lisa S: I kind of think he was trying to. And it felt weird, Lisa Wilson: on the information that Lisa S: but I'm not putting that out there that he was doing anything wrong. I just think that that's how I started to feel and Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: I didn't like the feeling. So I just discontinued the service going forward. Lisa Wilson: Yeah, I mean, we both have a really high tolerance for Woo but we both have Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: a very, very, very low tolerance for people controlling or manipulating us. And I think that's where Wu becomes scary, is where people give this un this trust in these people that do not have their best intention at heart. And I think I could think of a million of examples of that where it's like Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Yeah, it's all fun Woo is all fun but y if I'm signing over my house to someone, things have gone wrong, you know? Like Lisa S: Correct. Yeah, you're correct. Absolutely. Lisa Wilson: We've had we've had the hard woo, the scary woo. Lisa S: Yes, like I have something that like I would be so scared to try because I think it's too woo for me. Lisa Wilson: What is that? Lisa S: Ayahuasca. I couldn't do Lisa Wilson: Yes. Lisa S: it, Lisa. I couldn't do it. I mean, I've watched so many people do it. Celebrities go to South America, to all these cool places, Brazil, Peru, and actually do it. And they have these amazing experiences, but they also say it's really hard. But Lisa, every time I watch it, get like, I don't think I could do it. Knowing me, I'd probably be the person that would die during it and they would just roll me down the hill because they don't want to deal with me. I would never make it back. Lisa Wilson: They didn't know They killed some they killed some middle aged lady. Lisa S: I'd hike through the Amazon basin to get to this cool plateau and drink the tea and then just just perish. So yeah, I'm not doing it. What about you? Lisa Wilson: So, no thanks. I'm not gonna do any ayahuasca, Now my favorite part is the absurd woo. The woo where you're Lisa S: Yeah Lisa Wilson: like, girl, please. Are you kidding me? So, so what's the last woo thing you saw online and immediately sent to somebody like, okay, like you gotta see this? Lisa S: Well, so I love, love, love, like just a good out of the box, like crazy thing. I think it's hilarious. Lisa Wilson: Okay. Lisa S: But I, so I see these people online doing a lot of past life regression. And I think it's so cool because they like, They're like in hypnosis, right? Like that's Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: something that I haven't done. Have you ever done hypnosis? Okay. Lisa Wilson: No. Well I did I did do hypnosis in the fifth grade to try to lose weight. It did not work. Lisa S: Okay, all right, well, I've never tried it. So Lisa Wilson: Okay. Lisa S: anyway, past life regression, think would be so funny, because people wake up from their hypnosis and they're just like, I was a shaman or whatever, whatever it was, and that explains, I got shot in the back, and that's where that birthmark came from, all these things, right? I think it's amazing. Lisa Wilson: I think where it gets absurd for me on past life regression, where it goes from Lisa S: Uh-huh. Lisa Wilson: being like fun woo to like absurd woo, is like Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: everyone is Marie Antoinette. Like no one's ever her maid. You know? Like nobody's ever like Yeoman Lisa S: Yeah, okay, I can see that. Lisa Wilson: Johnson. Like they're always some big famous person, you know? And that's her Lisa S: done some big famous thing like they never say you you had no legacy Lisa Wilson: You know, you you had 22 children and died when you were 20. The end. you know, like nobody's ever that guy. So that's where I'm like, hmm, Lisa S: Yeah, that's true. That's true. Lisa Wilson: So so for me, I I did not send you are the person I always send the absurd stuff to. Like immediately. You and my Lisa S: Yeah. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: sister in law, where I'm just like, look at this crazy shit. So Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: this one I'm watching it on Instagram thinking a stitch is coming. Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: No stitch. It's legit. So there is Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: a free workshop called Pee on Your Credit Card to Heal Your Money Blocks. Lisa S: Shut up! Lisa Wilson: And This woman legit is telling people. And if you're if you happen to be a fan of the show, hey, welcome. I'm super glad you're here. But Girl, why are you telling people to pee on their credit cards? And Lisa S: Gross. Lisa Wilson: so she's saying, literally saying to people that she got $18,000 because she peed on her credit card and removed her c her money block. Now, Okay, money's hard. Money's tight right now. If you guys are out Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: there going, I've tried everything else, no I'm not gonna judge you. Lisa's not gonna judge you. You pee on that credit card and hopefully, Lisa S: I mean, guess P on your card. I don't know. Yeah. No, just don't, just don't tell me. Lisa Wilson: hopefully, but don't pay for this. It's a free seminar, but I don't think you need Lisa S: like. Lisa Wilson: the seminar. And then the other one that I've been hearing about there is a politician that said that he shifted from a Waffle House in one location to a Waffle House in another state, like mentally willed himself there. Lisa S: like time traveled. Lisa Wilson: Like he just changed his reality and he was somewhere else. So there is now a new movement of people Lisa S: Okay. Hmm. Lisa Wilson: that are shifting to Hogwarts. So if you lie in a starfish position, count backwards from a hundred, you can wake up dating Draco Malfoy, which Lisa S: Stop. Lisa Wilson: you know, I mean, so like again, like. Lisa S: I'm okay. Okay, like I'm not gonna discount Anything but that one's a hard one for me. I'm having a hard time with that Lisa Wilson: These are I mean Lisa S: Just a little bit. Lisa Wilson: time you're like okay Lisa lay out like a starfish and think of and think of Snape I'd be like Alright I mean I really Lisa S: Like, hmm, yeah. Lisa Wilson: wanted to be in Slytherin as well you know what I mean but Lisa S: Yeah, I think that one's a little too like too much for me Lisa Wilson: Now, one that I did hear about that I thought was really interesting that at first hearing it was absurd. I'm like, so there is a woman who has voices in her head, but like screaming, screaming things from the universe are screaming to her in her head. And again, I was Lisa S: dear. Lisa Wilson: waiting for the stitch. It did not come. But she apparently, predicted the 2020 COVID shutdown. Lisa S: I mean, so did Sylvia Brown, guess, too. A lot of people did, but yeah. Lisa Wilson: And everyone at the time? Yeah, yeah. A lot. I mean, I did not. I told the people at work they were nuts. It was never gonna happen. like as as as absurd as it is, keep an open mind. You don't Lisa S: Yeah Lisa Wilson: I mean, wear gloves if you're gonna pee on your credit card is my best advice. That's the best advice that I can give you. Lisa S: Like, ew, ew, that one's hard for me, ew, mm-mm, mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: All right. So this is something you are much better at than me is Lisa S: Hmm. Lisa Wilson: like the fun woo. So you have a lot of woo things that you have really had a lot of fun doing and gotten really good at doing them. What are some of the fun woo things that you do? Lisa S: So the list is kind of long, Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: but I've tried so many cool things that I feel like, I mean, I have some of my favorites, but I love a good sound bath. Lisa Wilson: Mm. Lisa S: I love, one of the funnest things that I've done this year was the vibro-acoustic treatment that we did at Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: that spot. That was so... cool, I love that so much. I loved it, loved it, loved it. One thing that I did try though that I didn't truly love was Breathwork. That's hard. Have you ever done that? Lisa Wilson: That is woo too hard. Lisa S: It was that is and it's hard like it makes you almost pass out. So I wasn't good at it. I mean, I think if I kept with it, I could have maybe got a better love for it. But that one I can't do again. I don't think that was hard. Made me dizzy. Lisa Wilson: I mean, you gotta have Lisa S: And so. Lisa Wilson: you gotta try and make you gotta try to find your fun where you can, you know? So Lisa S: Yeah, yeah. Lisa Wilson: I think one of the things I'm super grateful for, Lisa, is that before you, I'd only tried a couple of those things and I'll talk about that in a minute. But Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: because we have come to come back together and sake of the Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: podcast and later in life friends, and we're both in a position where we can we can try new stuff. Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Right. Like we have the bandwidth to do it. We have the curiosity to do it. And the whimsy, I think it requires a lot of whimsy. And I mean, we have done some fun stuff. We did the tarot reading. We're I Lisa S: Yes. Lisa Wilson: we're gonna, you know, we've done the the the sound stuff that you were talking about, that we did that Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: together. And I mean it's you know, it's it's all part of the journey, you know, is trying Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: these things out and really kind of figure out what's better for you. So on that note, we're gonna talk about my first experience with a sound bath. So Lisa S: Okay. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I was at hot yoga, as I often was at that time. And my my yoga studio, which will surprise no one, was very earthy and very woo. Like, like we did when you walked in, they did energy cleaning, you know, and like this Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: was the one where like your person would walk up to you and like like touch you and be like, okay, like I'm feeling this good energy, but you need this. like aromatherapy, you know, and like they would can Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I sprinkle this? And you're like, yes, whatever you want to do. Like, Lisa S: Yes, just do it! Lisa Wilson: okay, again. I just loved all of it so much. Well then they put up a flyer and they're like, sound bath at during the full moon. We're, you know, bring your yoga mats. It's women only, you know, and it's going to be like a bewitching evening. Right. And I was like, okay. Well, I want like How much is it? Does it matter? No, I'll buy it. Let's go. Like Lisa S: I want in. Lisa Wilson: I so I get my mat and I'm all excited. And it's like, you know, I go to bed early. So to go anywhere at nine o'clock at night for a full moon. Right. So we're drive Lisa S: That's late. That's too late. Lisa Wilson: out into like the middle of nowhere. And again, I am Lisa S: Hmm? Lisa Wilson: like blissed out on all of this community. And I'm like, Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I could be driving to my death in the woods, but we'll all die Lisa S: haha Lisa Wilson: together. You know? Lisa S: laying on our yoga mats. Lisa Wilson: It's gonna be fine. And so we get out there and it's cold, right? Because it's like Octobery Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: time and that's when the full moon was. And I'm like, that's okay. Like, you know, get out and I do it. And then in my mind, like we start the sound bath. I had never been to a sound bath. I did not Google Sound Bath. But Lisa S: Okay. Okay. So you, you didn't even know what to expect. You had no idea. Lisa Wilson: I I honestly I thought we were gonna do some witchy shit. Lisa S: You Lisa Wilson: Cast spells and like do coven stuff because it said bewitching, full moon, like right, so literally you're gonna be so disappointed in me. But literally like ten Lisa S: Shoot. Did you leave? Lisa Wilson: I got the fuck out of there. Lisa S: shoot, Lisa. Lisa Wilson: We're sitting there, and the person was like starts the wall. And I'm like, Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: 10 minutes in, you know, because I have a hard time sitting still anyway. And 10 minutes in, I lean over to my the lady, my friend from one of the classes, and I'm like, like, are we gonna cast spells or what? She was and she was like, Lisa S: You're like, when is this noise over? Like I'm done. Lisa Wilson: she was like, What? I'm like, isn't this like, aren't we gonna like cast some spells and do some witchy coven stuff? And she was like, No. Lisa S: This is it. And it just keeps going. Like this sound. Yes. Lisa Wilson: Like wha and I'm like Lisa S: Yes. I have Lisa Wilson: No sorry. Lisa S: all I have all of the ceramic singing bowls. I have every one. So yes, I know exactly what you mean. I love it. I love a good sound. Lisa Wilson: I I I got up and out of that joint. I was like, Nope. Like sitting here like doing like sound bath like like hearing hearing sounds, odd sounds for an hour ninety minutes. I was like, Lisa S: huh. Lisa Wilson: I'm out. I don't want anything to do with it. I just Lisa S: You're like, don't need my chakras aligned. Who cares? My chakras are fine. Lisa Wilson: I have chakra spray that I get from Aveda. I'm good. I do. I have chakra. Lisa S: chakra spray. Okay, that's woo. That's a little woo. I've never heard of chakra spray. Lisa Wilson: Well, and you know what? You can sell me anything. Like I'm just gonna I I just alerted every Lisa S: yeah. You're like, this is cool. Lisa Wilson: predator on the internet. Lisa S: Let's get her name. my God. Chakra spray. That one's going in the book. That one's a good one. Lisa Wilson: Totally. Yeah. No, they do have chakra spray. Yes, it's it's a true thing. Just like Kate's, I have Kate's Magik anti-ghost spray. So, like if you have Lisa S: Kate who? Lisa Wilson: Kate's Magik is a like a witchy store online. Lisa S: okay, okay. Lisa Wilson: And when I was having all that bad luck, remember that? I was like, Lisa S: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: I'm just gonna, there's gotta be something stronger than Sage because I didn't believe I didn't think Sage was gonna Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: like change my energy. So I looked up and it was like, okay, you need to do a realignment package. So I bought that. It's still in the box. Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: And then it was like, you might have an attachment that is you, you know, gotta go that could be happening. Lisa S: Yeah, yeah, that's fair. Lisa Wilson: So you buy it's like a trio of sprays that says literally get rid of that ghost spray or something like that, like anti-ghost spray. And I sprayed it around. Lisa S: Stop it. Lisa Wilson: I did, I did, I sprayed it around. And I was like, it just smells like Patchouli I wasn't I wasn't into it at all. And I was like, maybe I'll give it to Lisa because she doesn't like ghosts. I have a closet full of this shit that I buy that I never use. It's it's Lisa S: I don't know. I don't know if I'd be like Ghost away. Well, but okay. That's not true because it what's different from a spray and like a crystal doing the same thing, right? like Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: I Mean, I'm not knocking it. I just have never heard of it Lisa Wilson: Neither had I, but I was I was desperate. but I mean you know Lisa S: You were in. Lisa Wilson: that's harml it's harmless woo. How about that? Yeah, Lisa S: There you go. There you go. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: harmless woo. I'm not into the I'm not into the sound stuff. but one of the things I wanted to try that I have not tried I love spiritualism from the 1800s. Like there was this massive Lisa S: Okay. Lisa Wilson: movement, everyone thought they were haunted. Everyone thought they were able to talk to the dead. Houdini's like, you're all Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: full of shit. And you know, like his his wife had seances every single year on the hit the anniversary of his death until she passed away. Like there were people that were fully committed to it. Well, a big part of that time was Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: spirit photography. So you would sit and like Lisa S: Wow. Lisa Wilson: if your husband had passed away, you would sit and take a picture, and someone would. tell you like your husband would appear in like an outline form behind you as proof that there's life after death and that he's still with me. So it sounds very comforting, but in the hands of in the hands of predators, Lisa S: not to me. That doesn't sound... Lisa Wilson: it they they they took over they took some widows' fortunes for sure. but listen, Lisa S: Yeah... Yeah... Lisa Wilson: when we were having a Halloween party, I want I I You know, go back and listen to the the episode about the psychic gone rogue, but we used to have huge Halloween parties and I absolutely was dying. I wanted a spirit photograph of me Lisa S: Mmm! Lisa Wilson: and Doug and our dog, but with like ghosts in the background. Lisa S: Yeah? Lisa Wilson: I finally found somebody who could do it, but it was like $1,900. Lisa S: For what? Lisa Wilson: Because I guess it's like a treatment, like it's a multi-step process but like whenever you said aura photography I kept thinking god damn I really wanted that spirit picture it's been like ten years you guys I need to let it go. Like I need to move on. Lisa S: But I'm sure now we could probably find somebody that could do it but that's funny. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. I mean I could Lisa S: Let me ask you a question about the pictures. What would you do with them? Lisa Wilson: Mm-hmm. I was gonna hang it over my fireplace as like a Lisa S: Lisa. Lisa Wilson: I have a gigantic mirror above in our old house. I had a gig a huge mirror above my fireplace. I was gonna take the mirror down and put the portrait up because I just loved it so much. I mean, I have skulls in my all in my house now. Lisa S: I know. I know. Lisa Wilson: Like I love I love the spooky things, like a hundred percent. Lisa S: Yeah, mean, that would scare me. But I mean, it's fine. Lisa Wilson: You yeah, but if you walked into my house and it was a big picture of me and Doug and our ghost dog, you'd be like, Yep. Lisa S: I mean, I would get it. I just couldn't do it in my house. But no, I totally get it. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Yeah, you'd be like, yeah, yeah, for sure. So there are definite woo high fives. Like things that you're like, this thing that is woo made my life Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: better. And I would I would not be the same person without it. What is your woo high five? Lisa S: 100 % Reiki. If I didn't have Reiki in my life, I wouldn't be the same person. So it's 100%. Yeah, that is what changed my life a few years ago. What about you? Lisa Wilson: I mean, it's my tarot reading Like, and again, Lisa S: Mmm. Lisa Wilson: we did a whole episode on that. But my tarot reading maybe for the rest of my life, will be my Woo High Five Like, I've I truly believe in that, and that's something I did not believe in going into it. So I I absolutely encourage everyone to get out there and get it. Like, don't go to market the mall, but go get yourself. Lisa S: No. Lisa Wilson: A legit tarot card reading we have talked about a lot of woo Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: the hard woo the sad woo the happy woo the fun woo all the different Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: woos but I think that Lisa S: Yeah. Lisa Wilson: there is definitely too much woo. Like for me, I have a hard skeptic angle. Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: sixty days ago. Lisa S: I am so proud of you because you have opened up. You're pretty much like a hard no on a lot of things. And Lisa Wilson: Mm. Yeah. Lisa S: I think that you're coming around. You're opening up, I say. I think you're being a little bit more open to just like trying new things. And we've tried things and you've been like, that's bullshit crazy. I didn't like it at all. And that's fine. When I'm just like, like. Lisa Wilson: Yeah. Lisa S: All in the feels. I know, I'm like, I'm all in the feels. Lisa Wilson: You're like, am I glowing? Do I do am I glowing? Lisa S: And you were like, that was stupid. Let's go. Like, I'm out. I hated it. Yeah. Lisa Wilson: Let's go get a coffee. so so you guys listen, if you're listening Lisa S: Mm. Lisa Wilson: or you're watching us on YouTube, like we know you have a woo line. Please tell us what that woo line Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: is. Or maybe you're like Lisa and you're like, ayahuasca, done it, been there, right? Like you can you can educate her on it. Tell her there's nothing to worry about. But we definitely want you guys to remember that as as we go through life and try new things and do new experiences. You have to remember to hydrate. Lisa S: Mm-hmm. Lisa Wilson: You have to, I mean, listen to my too much Lisa S: Hahaha Lisa Wilson: hot yoga is a bad thing. if you have not peed in two weeks, too much hot yoga. Right? So hydrate. Make sure you roll Lisa S: Yes. Lisa Wilson: your shoulders back. Make sure that you unclench jaw. Try a little woo. Have a little fun, right? But know when it's Lisa S: Yeah, laugh a little. Lisa Wilson: try a little, have a little, have fun. But you Lisa S: Come here. Lisa Wilson: guys, thank you so much for coming this week. It was a lot of fun. Thanks so much, guys. Bye. Lisa S: Bye.
