- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to Artists on Artists on Artists on Artists.
- 0:08Speaker 1: This week on the show, it's another writer's room, but
- 0:10Speaker 1: this time they're in capes. It's the Marvel Writer's Room.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Marvel is the largest film franchise in the history of
- 0:19Speaker 2: the multiverse. A little bit of an easter egg there,
- 0:22Speaker 2: and easter egg is a phrase that Marvel people also love,
- 0:25Speaker 2: So easter egg is kind of an easter egg.
- 0:28Speaker 3: With so much on the line and so much money
- 0:31Speaker 3: being spent, these writers have to plug in and work
- 0:34Speaker 3: overtime to make the superheroes you love come to life
- 0:38Speaker 3: in a fun, friendly, action packed way.
- 0:42Speaker 4: So zip up that CGI suit, turn the lights way down,
- 0:48Speaker 4: and let's listen in.
- 0:53Speaker 5: Dun't dun.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You've seen the Adventures on television, and you've seen it
- 1:09Speaker 2: on movies, and now it's the Avengers of the Marvel writers.
- 1:14Speaker 2: We have been assembled. We are here together, and I
- 1:17Speaker 2: am so excited to be here with the best Marvel
- 1:21Speaker 2: writing team you've ever known.
- 1:24Speaker 6: Writers a shimbo, writers.
- 1:26Speaker 7: A symbol Excelsior.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Gotta say, if we don't do this well, it kind
- 1:31Speaker 3: of feels like doomsday.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Like Doomsday coming to Marvel Cinemas. Twenty twenty six.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Haha, guys, we are so excited to sit down. You know,
- 1:43Speaker 3: we all have a love for the Yeah, kick through
- 1:45Speaker 3: the door, Kick through the door, Riley, what are you
- 1:49Speaker 3: doing through the portal? Kick through the portal and enter
- 1:56Speaker 3: the universe. That is what we're gonna do today, talk
- 1:59Speaker 3: about all things Marvel. We love working on these Marvel movies.
- 2:03Speaker 7: We love Marvel. It's never been better and we're having
- 2:07Speaker 7: a blast.
- 2:09Speaker 6: It's so true.
- 2:10Speaker 4: We have never had more ideas, we have never had
- 2:14Speaker 4: more to do.
- 2:15Speaker 6: There is so.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Much untapped resources available, and we are gonna scrape all
- 2:22Speaker 4: the way to the bottom of the barrel with the
- 2:25Speaker 4: top shelf stuff.
- 2:27Speaker 7: We're gonna get to it.
- 2:28Speaker 6: Are obsessed.
- 2:29Speaker 7: We plan for the post credit scene, which we have
- 2:32Speaker 7: to do.
- 2:32Speaker 6: We have to We might we might even get wait
- 2:37Speaker 6: that I actually can't wait.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I can't wait to maybe even talk about the space
- 2:44Speaker 1: we go to when we have no ideas.
- 2:46Speaker 6: The no idea Man, the biggest villain.
- 2:49Speaker 7: Of all, the no idea man, biggest villain in law.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He's an internal villain that only if you work at
- 2:53Speaker 2: Marvel you know about.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Stan Lee used to talk about the no idea man
- 2:59Speaker 3: behind the scenes all the time, and he is now
- 3:01Speaker 3: infiltrated a little bit of the marvels.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Did the ideas man first appear to you in your mind?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Because it took me six months of working here for
- 3:10Speaker 4: him to appear.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You want to be clear, this is not a real
- 3:13Speaker 1: superhero or villain. This lives within the confines of our
- 3:17Speaker 1: writer's chom.
- 3:18Speaker 2: And in that way, in that room, in that building
- 3:20Speaker 2: on the Disney lot on Alameda Avenue in Burbank, it's
- 3:24Speaker 2: very real.
- 3:25Speaker 6: Who don't box us.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Knocking down the portal and showing you the insides of
- 3:29Speaker 2: the no idea Man.
- 3:33Speaker 6: I met the no.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Idea Man when I was working on Fantastic four the
- 3:36Speaker 2: first steps. We were seventy pages in, and the new
- 3:43Speaker 2: idea Man reared his ugly horned head. Do we have
- 3:47Speaker 2: horns for you, guys? I believe the horn is a pencil,
- 3:50Speaker 2: and I believe the horn holds a ruby that can
- 3:52Speaker 2: turn into a stone.
- 3:55Speaker 4: And the no ideas Man appeared to me not with horns,
- 3:58Speaker 4: but with sharp, sharp thanks, thanks that threatened to rip
- 4:02Speaker 4: up any script I wrote. But the way to defeat
- 4:06Speaker 4: the no ideas Man is by offering him a piece
- 4:09Speaker 4: of your past that piece of your past is turning
- 4:12Speaker 4: the key into new and incredible ideas, but it.
- 4:15Speaker 7: Comes at a cost.
- 4:17Speaker 2: If you offer something to the no idea man from
- 4:19Speaker 2: your past that is no longer an idea that you
- 4:21Speaker 2: can have to make as an indie.
- 4:23Speaker 7: Feature, but an idea that now belongs.
- 4:25Speaker 6: To a Marvel pill.
- 4:26Speaker 3: They legally own your indie feature. Now, that small cute
- 4:31Speaker 3: indie feature about your sick mother getting better and you
- 4:35Speaker 3: by her side, reconnecting and rekindling with your father along
- 4:38Speaker 3: the way, it is.
- 4:39Speaker 6: Now on Marvel TV.
- 4:40Speaker 3: It doesn't belong to a twenty four and he belongs
- 4:43Speaker 3: to me.
- 4:44Speaker 6: No ideas.
- 4:47Speaker 7: On life support.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Life support and Loki is reconnecting with his father.
- 4:56Speaker 1: You would need to sacrifice an idea about the drama
- 4:58Speaker 1: you had when you had braces Ah, Now Loki has prices.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Guess what Wolverine is in eighth grade and going through it?
- 5:09Speaker 6: That's right.
- 5:10Speaker 4: You want to write about your dad leaving now thanos
- 5:13Speaker 4: his dad has gone a million times.
- 5:16Speaker 6: And plunge out. Don't even talk about it in.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Therapy because a representative from Disney will show up and
- 5:22Speaker 4: tell you when it's too close.
- 5:24Speaker 7: You guys, haven't gotten the knock on the therapy door.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I have the knock on the therapy dare we introduced
- 5:29Speaker 1: the no ideas man before ourselves and that shows.
- 5:32Speaker 6: The way we live in theater.
- 5:33Speaker 7: Well, that's what happens to the no ideas man.
- 5:35Speaker 2: He introduces himself and all of a sudden group was
- 5:38Speaker 2: kicked out of his polyicule.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Anyway, we must say who we are before the ideas.
- 5:45Speaker 3: This just really quickly more we're talking about I Love
- 5:47Speaker 3: your Face. What is that movie called Grut in Portland?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Portland recruit's important gets kicked out of.
- 5:59Speaker 6: His Paul and it's catchphrases.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I am Groot and this is groot and this is
- 6:04Speaker 4: grew and this is crewed.
- 6:09Speaker 7: Okay, let's introduce ourselves.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Okay, let's introduce ourselves.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Dennis Faraday, and I am a Marvel writer.
- 6:20Speaker 3: I've been working here for nay twelve years, for a
- 6:25Speaker 3: long time, and I've just will use twelve years.
- 6:28Speaker 7: That means what what year is it? Twenty twenty six?
- 6:30Speaker 7: Twelve years ago? Was twenty twenty.
- 6:33Speaker 3: So not twenty twenty twenty fourteen?
- 6:36Speaker 7: Twenty fourteen is when I jumped in Past Avengers one, right,
- 6:39Speaker 7: Past Avengers one, Yes.
- 6:41Speaker 3: So I jumped in right after phase one, I jumped
- 6:44Speaker 3: into phase two.
- 6:45Speaker 7: A lot of times are.
- 6:46Speaker 3: There right when the steak was served, Yes, right when
- 6:49Speaker 3: the steak was served, and I said, I'll have another
- 6:51Speaker 3: couple of steaks, please. So I've been helping writing a
- 6:55Speaker 3: lot of the scripts, jumping in and doing what I can.
- 6:58Speaker 7: I do a lot of the comedy.
- 7:00Speaker 6: Actually, for a lot of these movies.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Let's talk about that comedy because it's so unique.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Well, here's the thing I always strive for is, if
- 7:07Speaker 3: there's ever stakes in the movie, I want.
- 7:10Speaker 7: To rip it up with a little joke.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I will tell you you, Dennis, you do such a
- 7:15Speaker 1: good job at being at writing the moments where some
- 7:18Speaker 1: of our heroes are trying so hard to hold up
- 7:20Speaker 1: maybe three buildings, and they go, if only I could
- 7:23Speaker 1: hold this up like I do my gym members.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, like it is so, And then another stronger
- 7:28Speaker 3: superhero come and go. That looks pretty easy actually, like
- 7:32Speaker 3: a lot of the awkward comedies.
- 7:33Speaker 4: I love whenever your your calling card. I know when
- 7:38Speaker 4: you've written on a movie is when the phrase, uh,
- 7:41Speaker 4: little help here shows.
- 7:42Speaker 7: Up, Oh my god, here little help here.
- 7:47Speaker 1: I love when you write girl heroes because you always
- 7:49Speaker 1: go let me, I could blow that up, but let
- 7:52Speaker 1: me try to talk to a boy.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I also write girl heroes specifically, not women. We
- 7:58Speaker 3: refer to them.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Younger.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Yes, So if there's ever mistakes, like if somebody's watching
- 8:06Speaker 3: another superhero maybe die, or there's a big moment where
- 8:09Speaker 3: they were recurring their past, I always try to add
- 8:11Speaker 3: another character in the scene that maybe goes awkward.
- 8:15Speaker 7: I guess uh yeah.
- 8:18Speaker 2: I mean you're so brilliant at that, and it's so
- 8:21Speaker 2: exciting because we think you are so grateful for you
- 8:24Speaker 2: because you built this system that when you can't make
- 8:27Speaker 2: it because you've gotten so into that hobby.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I do a Warhammer forty k I paint
- 8:34Speaker 3: my figurines. Oh yes, yet to play the game now
- 8:40Speaker 3: that we've kind of just paint the figures.
- 8:43Speaker 7: We lost in a Warhammer.
- 8:44Speaker 2: But you did give us a really nifty wheel, so
- 8:48Speaker 2: sometimes you put we call it the fair Day Wheel,
- 8:50Speaker 2: and we spin it and we can just use them
- 8:52Speaker 2: and you put all of them in there.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Yes, me about twelve, which.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Is hey waiter, remember when we had dinner and passed
- 8:58Speaker 3: the spoons a lot.
- 9:00Speaker 6: My favorite one on the wheel is is anything gonna happen.
- 9:02Speaker 7: Yes, yeah, is gonna happened?
- 9:04Speaker 3: Boom is what it says, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 6: So that's a little bit of it.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I also liked I'm sorry, did you want need a scream?
- 9:17Speaker 3: If it lands at the wrong time of the script,
- 9:19Speaker 3: that's a hard.
- 9:23Speaker 7: Time the way it works.
- 9:26Speaker 4: I also appreciate how much time we spend on your jokes.
- 9:29Speaker 4: We we will grind the entire movie to a halt
- 9:33Speaker 4: to hear the joke and then just sit in it.
- 9:36Speaker 4: And then when they do a little bit of improv, squinting,
- 9:39Speaker 4: glaring back and forth, Oh.
- 9:41Speaker 3: We need to talk about the improv that we allow anyway.
- 9:45Speaker 1: And that's what I love our security guards for the
- 9:50Speaker 1: safe guards security they have prop security guards. They drain
- 9:53Speaker 1: them before they go off. All right, what's up. I'm
- 9:56Speaker 1: Riley virgin I am. I've been in this room for
- 10:01Speaker 1: a little bit now. One of the younger ones went
- 10:04Speaker 1: to AFI top of my class, which just meant I.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Was the tallest pitch Fest and Afi I was judging
- 10:12Speaker 2: pitch Fest. You have to do the pitch fast, pitch right,
- 10:16Speaker 2: do the pitch. Do the pitch about your sad morose
- 10:19Speaker 2: indie that you wanted.
- 10:20Speaker 6: To make fish don't talk to each other.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, And I said, this person's got it work at Martha.
- 10:31Speaker 4: I mean, you don't talk to each other, and now
- 10:34Speaker 4: you can't use that.
- 10:35Speaker 6: Now you can't yell.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And I did give that to the idea, the idea, man,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I gave.
- 10:40Speaker 6: That to a pitch Fast monster. Pitchfest Monster a very
- 10:44Speaker 6: unique in its property.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Anyway, I'm so excited to be here. I love Honestly,
- 10:53Speaker 1: I'm just learning from some of the greats, because truly,
- 10:55Speaker 1: when you can have to be a pitchfest, I was like,
- 10:57Speaker 1: holy fucking Moley.
- 11:00Speaker 2: You've probably just impressed by impressed by my Avengerous hoodie
- 11:04Speaker 2: and all my Avengers pans.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Because honestly, I am one of those nerds for Marvel
- 11:10Speaker 1: where every rap gift I find it on Reddit and
- 11:13Speaker 1: then I make my own version on printifle because I've
- 11:17Speaker 1: always want to be a part of the cruise. So
- 11:18Speaker 1: the fact that I've been here, I've been working with
- 11:20Speaker 1: you guys, has been such an honor. It's also so
- 11:23Speaker 1: cool to just not have any writer's assistant credits and
- 11:25Speaker 1: just come on in. And I thank pitch Fast for that.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I think you guys for that. I think AFI for that.
- 11:31Speaker 2: We got to talk about the Marvel rap gifts. By
- 11:32Speaker 2: the way, that eternals hour glass. I use it every
- 11:35Speaker 2: day and I've.
- 11:36Speaker 6: Been needing a good hour glass.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm obsessed.
- 11:39Speaker 1: With my Infinity War gun. Yes, I put it outside anyway.
- 11:44Speaker 7: The Infinity War gun that they give is crazy. Shun
- 11:48Speaker 7: Chi bus wheel. Oh yes, she hulk pen.
- 11:53Speaker 6: She hulk pen. When you click it and it gets
- 11:58Speaker 6: bigger and it.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Gets mad, and then it turned into a highlighter when
- 12:04Speaker 4: it's really mad.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That.
- 12:07Speaker 6: I love that.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I love that we don't have enough Penn highlight or
- 12:10Speaker 1: hype breaks anyway.
- 12:11Speaker 3: I batteries, the artisan batteries.
- 12:16Speaker 7: They are you can wear on your chest.
- 12:19Speaker 4: And I'm kind of a battery snob, but these batteries
- 12:23Speaker 4: really work.
- 12:24Speaker 6: Yes, I heard.
- 12:25Speaker 7: You're making your own batteries too.
- 12:27Speaker 6: Oh yes, yes, well who are you batteries? Who am I?
- 12:34Speaker 4: Well, who aren't I I'll no, I'll tell you who.
- 12:36Speaker 4: I'm not the president. Look, I'm just kidding around.
- 12:39Speaker 6: I am DEDI Deadpool, and I am it's d D Deadpool, Deadpool,
- 12:48Speaker 6: dead Pool. I am d D Deadpool.
- 12:51Speaker 4: And yes, I am Netpo, I am Nepo. I am nepo,
- 12:54Speaker 4: but I'm trying to stay humble. Deadpool, of course, was
- 12:58Speaker 4: based on a real man that was my father, and
- 13:01Speaker 4: he was the most sarcastic guy around and he was awesome.
- 13:05Speaker 6: I miss him.
- 13:07Speaker 4: But I got in here around twenty fifteen, and I
- 13:12Speaker 4: have been just having such a blast, and I have
- 13:16Speaker 4: been really digging through. And you know, I've been helping
- 13:20Speaker 4: Punch up with these movies and writing on all these movies.
- 13:23Speaker 6: But then I have been tasked with finding obscure Marvel.
- 13:29Speaker 4: Books and looking sort of towards the future and exploring
- 13:33Speaker 4: new Marvel heroes that maybe are are so obscure that
- 13:36Speaker 4: even those comic book guys don't know about.
- 13:39Speaker 6: Why love this?
- 13:40Speaker 3: You are diving into the thirty four thirty five, thirty
- 13:43Speaker 3: six page count of these original Marvel and Kedie.
- 13:49Speaker 2: I love it because you come in and everyone tells
- 13:51Speaker 2: you that you're making it up. Every day, You're being
- 13:53Speaker 2: gas lit left and right. You have to show us,
- 13:55Speaker 2: you have to show us.
- 13:56Speaker 4: I'm like, I brought the proof. I brought the proof.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Calamari Man is its real?
- 14:01Speaker 7: Oh my gosh. I loved Calumn.
- 14:03Speaker 3: When you presented Kalamari Man, we said, I think I
- 14:06Speaker 3: believe that is a waiter. In just a scene a
- 14:10Speaker 3: panel of a mar you said, Kalamari Klamari Man.
- 14:14Speaker 4: It's Kalamari Man, and his powers are to bring Kalamari
- 14:18Speaker 4: as requested to different tables, only when summoned and only
- 14:25Speaker 4: during certain hours of the day.
- 14:27Speaker 6: So that's a waiter.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Though we talk though about because we have I mean,
- 14:32Speaker 2: I know we're going to go over the slate for Facebook.
- 14:34Speaker 7: Over the slave k I'm gonna say it. It's not
- 14:38Speaker 7: like we're not the twenty three Expo, but I'm gonna
- 14:40Speaker 7: say it.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Kalamari Man is coming to Disney Plus twenty thirty one,
- 14:47Speaker 2: and he will be played by Finn wolf Park.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Yes, it is an eighteen episode order coming straight to
- 14:54Speaker 1: your screen.
- 14:55Speaker 7: Imagine the Bear meets She Hulk.
- 15:00Speaker 6: It's Finn the Wolf Hard.
- 15:02Speaker 7: It is everything that Stranger Things isn't exactly.
- 15:05Speaker 1: I honestly, what I love about your work, Missus Deadpool,
- 15:09Speaker 1: is that.
- 15:09Speaker 6: You please call me D. D. Deadpool.
- 15:11Speaker 3: I have.
- 15:12Speaker 6: What I love about your work, Missus D. D.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Deadpool, is that you are really good at writing in
- 15:18Speaker 1: those moments in a script where that character it's not
- 15:21Speaker 1: his movie, but it will be kind of the dag
- 15:23Speaker 1: will be where you do like a this kid's about
- 15:26Speaker 1: to grow up and we'll see it next phase.
- 15:29Speaker 6: Yes, because it's all about seating. It's about seating. If
- 15:32Speaker 6: you want someone.
- 15:33Speaker 4: To be in theaters for a squid boy, you have
- 15:36Speaker 4: to see him in Calamari man.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Yes, you can't just be running around.
- 15:41Speaker 7: We all know Calamaryn's assistant. Yes, shout out.
- 15:47Speaker 2: That was a featured extra that we had in the Marvels. Yes,
- 15:49Speaker 2: and now that person is the lead.
- 15:51Speaker 6: Of the show.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Have you ever heard heart lead and straight to WM
- 15:57Speaker 1: This kid.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Is brilliant as a featured extra. We had never heard
- 16:02Speaker 3: his voice before and it is strange.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Thank god he's good because we had to use him
- 16:07Speaker 2: regardless because of what did he deadpooled in?
- 16:10Speaker 6: Thank god he's good. We're always saying that Deadpool, what
- 16:14Speaker 6: do you do? How start did you do?
- 16:18Speaker 8: Deadpool? Did I do that?
- 16:32Speaker 2: And I also wanted to say I know because we're
- 16:34Speaker 2: eagle eyed Easter Egg listeners were like, hawk eyed missus D.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Come on, good, good, that's good. We're knocking open the door,
- 16:47Speaker 2: missus d D Deadpool. We said, that's right, she's married.
- 16:50Speaker 2: I am married, and here's the thing, and I love
- 16:54Speaker 2: this about her. She met someone who's also named Deadpool
- 16:57Speaker 2: that is not related to her.
- 16:59Speaker 6: Are you sure? Yeah? Are you sure they're not related?
- 17:02Speaker 4: We're not related because at the family that the Deadpool
- 17:05Speaker 4: family reunion in twenty eighteen, he wasn't.
- 17:08Speaker 6: There, So we are related.
- 17:11Speaker 4: And I think was that family reunion like twenty five
- 17:13Speaker 4: twenty six people, so he was not only so it's
- 17:17Speaker 4: good and we never even have to look into it
- 17:19Speaker 4: because he wasn't there. It's undeniable proof. But it is
- 17:24Speaker 4: so fun.
- 17:24Speaker 6: I am married to.
- 17:25Speaker 4: It's like a Taylor Lautner Taylor Swift situation.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Remember when they.
- 17:29Speaker 2: Were dating and they were both named Taylor Law married
- 17:34Speaker 2: to a Taylor.
- 17:35Speaker 6: He's married to Taylor. Really, Taylor Lawner in real life
- 17:37Speaker 6: is married to a Taylor. He has he has a
- 17:40Speaker 6: thing with his name has a thing with Taylor, which
- 17:42Speaker 6: is fun. What if somebody which was Cappina by.
- 17:46Speaker 2: A name we could totally use Taylor Loutner in a movie.
- 17:49Speaker 4: We could maybe for Notary Man, the man who's the
- 17:53Speaker 4: notary of Cincinnati but only allowed to do so between
- 17:56Speaker 4: the hours of nine and five Monday to Friday.
- 17:59Speaker 3: So this is really sounds like she Hulk. This actually
- 18:02Speaker 3: really is now getting very close to.
- 18:04Speaker 7: She can't imagine it. The person that makes sure all
- 18:06Speaker 7: the superheroes are married.
- 18:08Speaker 6: What's his life? What's his life like?
- 18:11Speaker 3: Hey?
- 18:12Speaker 6: What your life? Did you guys know?
- 18:17Speaker 7: Talking about myself on Hi everyone.
- 18:21Speaker 2: My name is Ralph Zandy and I am the head
- 18:23Speaker 2: of mythology at Marvel. I am in charge of making
- 18:27Speaker 2: sure that everything lines up, everything connects, everything is fluid.
- 18:32Speaker 6: We say the stickler, the sickler.
- 18:35Speaker 7: It's funny. I have a real Racks to Riches story.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Or should we say, uh, dollar bills to Infinity Stone story?
- 18:47Speaker 7: Put that on the wheel? Okay, dollar, I will add
- 18:53Speaker 7: those two.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So I started on the very first Marvel movie of
- 18:58Speaker 2: all time, uh for the for this cycle iron Man,
- 19:03Speaker 2: I was a PA. On Iron Man, I was second second.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I was in charge of the talent. I had to
- 19:08Speaker 2: sit outside of the trailers a second second second second ad,
- 19:13Speaker 2: which is not a PA, but we might as well
- 19:16Speaker 2: have been. I'm calling it and joking around. They didn't
- 19:20Speaker 2: like me very much. I didn't have a great time
- 19:23Speaker 2: because I read the comics and I felt like I
- 19:25Speaker 2: was the only one who did, and so I was
- 19:27Speaker 2: always saying, well, you know in the comics, they wouldn't
- 19:29Speaker 2: say this.
- 19:29Speaker 7: You know, in the comics, Jarvis kind of sounded like this,
- 19:31Speaker 7: and they kept saying, you're annoying, You're annoying, You're annoying.
- 19:33Speaker 7: Turns out I was right.
- 19:36Speaker 6: Turns out you weren't annoying. You were right.
- 19:38Speaker 2: And it turns out I was the first person to
- 19:42Speaker 2: realize that we needed to get these things right.
- 19:44Speaker 7: Because our fans get a little pissed off.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Oh yes, I will say Marvel did an amazing thing.
- 19:51Speaker 3: And the early aughts, the studios were releasing superhero movies
- 19:56Speaker 3: without paying any attention to the original IP.
- 20:00Speaker 7: That's correct.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Marvel was the first company that came in, grabbed the
- 20:03Speaker 3: IP and said, you know what, let's give the fans
- 20:05Speaker 3: what they want exactly.
- 20:06Speaker 2: So now people don't have to go to the theaters
- 20:08Speaker 2: to see a movie that might be good.
- 20:11Speaker 7: They might not be looking to enjoy something. They might
- 20:13Speaker 7: just be coming to see if it's correct.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, Like people who like playing board games and they
- 20:18Speaker 1: like reading the rules.
- 20:19Speaker 7: More than that, they're very into the rules rather than
- 20:22Speaker 7: the game.
- 20:23Speaker 1: And that's why you are important, because I think everyone
- 20:27Speaker 1: should at home that one kid that's at your board
- 20:29Speaker 1: game night.
- 20:30Speaker 6: Who's annoying? Who's like, actually, that's not how you play.
- 20:33Speaker 6: He's annoying, But he's right.
- 20:34Speaker 7: That's correct.
- 20:35Speaker 2: And that also is why, with my little bit of
- 20:37Speaker 2: extra money, I have opened Zandy's GameHouse jaus in Atwater Village.
- 20:41Speaker 6: Oh, because you're German, right, Yes.
- 20:43Speaker 7: I'm German.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Zandy's German, the original Sundy and I opened the GameHouse.
- 20:49Speaker 7: But I don't allow games. I only allow rules.
- 20:51Speaker 1: But you know what, I'll tell you what sucks is
- 20:53Speaker 1: and I want to I'm gonna use our public platform
- 20:55Speaker 1: to say it. Yeah, sometimes when we don't specifically honor
- 20:59Speaker 1: a comic, it's and it's details. They stopped tipping at
- 21:02Speaker 1: that game, and they vandalize italize you guys.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Stop, Hey, guys, do not vandalize my private business because
- 21:10Speaker 2: you didn't like what happened in the Winter Soldier in
- 21:12Speaker 2: the Falcon.
- 21:13Speaker 7: Okay, you guys.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Know too much.
- 21:16Speaker 4: You shouldn't know who is on payroll at Marvel. You
- 21:19Speaker 4: shouldn't know too much. But I also I want to say,
- 21:21Speaker 4: I want to thank you for you know, of course,
- 21:23Speaker 4: your knowledge saved all of our lives. Three years ago,
- 21:27Speaker 4: when there was an angry mob of Marvel fans bursting
- 21:32Speaker 4: into the door. They're ready to rip our heads off
- 21:37Speaker 4: our throat.
- 21:37Speaker 3: January sixth, nobody's talking about February third.
- 21:41Speaker 6: Tebuary.
- 21:42Speaker 1: February third is the January sixth for nerds.
- 21:47Speaker 6: It was when the Nerds stormed the Marvel gates because.
- 21:51Speaker 4: We were wrong about hawkeyes shoes, and you were the
- 21:56Speaker 4: only one able to talk them down, and you said, wait, no.
- 22:00Speaker 4: There's a really obscure version from nineteen forty six where
- 22:03Speaker 4: Hawkeye he is wearing Vans.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Comic four hundred and seventy two in the Infinity series,
- 22:09Speaker 2: Hawkeye goes into a shoe store. You don't see his
- 22:12Speaker 2: feet for five panels. He walks out wearing different shoes.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Imagine him saying that in front of a huge angry
- 22:17Speaker 1: mob with us behind being so sty he was literally
- 22:20Speaker 1: shaking spitch.
- 22:21Speaker 2: You have to understand there were five hundred slingshots in there.
- 22:24Speaker 2: There were people with spitballs, there were people about to
- 22:27Speaker 2: kill us.
- 22:28Speaker 6: I saw a fidget spinner that had knives on it.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, do you remember steps Imagine holding a fidget sp
- 22:34Speaker 3: knives You're honestly doing damage to yourself.
- 22:37Speaker 6: And he didn't even care. He was just standing there,
- 22:40Speaker 6: not blinking, going out shoes.
- 22:43Speaker 7: Shoes that guy was freaking.
- 22:45Speaker 2: They are the lines, fucking line because guess what that's
- 22:50Speaker 2: literally me. I see myself in them when you guys
- 22:53Speaker 2: come in and you guys tell me, hey, I actually
- 22:55Speaker 2: think that uh Wanda should have a broach on her neck,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and I go, no, she wouldn't wear that because it
- 23:03Speaker 2: will construct her powers.
- 23:04Speaker 6: You know, He's annoying.
- 23:06Speaker 7: But I learned a channel.
- 23:09Speaker 2: And that's what I'm telling all you guys, my children,
- 23:11Speaker 2: my little little fonds.
- 23:13Speaker 7: Okay, I love you guys out there. I'm one of you.
- 23:16Speaker 7: Find something else to take this and put it into right.
- 23:19Speaker 7: And so that's why I open my GameHouse, you know.
- 23:22Speaker 2: And I'm very involved on the tax side, and that
- 23:24Speaker 2: takes a lot of time for.
- 23:25Speaker 7: You love the taxes of your GameHouse.
- 23:28Speaker 6: Very nice taxes.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's so nice to look in and figure out, you know,
- 23:32Speaker 2: you know, what the articles of incorporation include and what's
- 23:36Speaker 2: going on and how I can find dividends and how
- 23:38Speaker 2: I can grow and change and taxing is it's so
- 23:42Speaker 2: intricate and it's fun because it helps me take the
- 23:45Speaker 2: stress off.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:46Speaker 3: Well I've got a question and I thought it would
- 23:48Speaker 3: be really interesting.
- 23:49Speaker 6: Ask it, God, come on, ask it my man.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Good Okay, I was thinking we could talk about maybe
- 24:05Speaker 3: the structure of a classic Marvel movie.
- 24:09Speaker 7: Going through it beat by beat. What are we trying
- 24:11Speaker 7: to aim for?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Why are we talking about one of the original movies
- 24:16Speaker 2: where we were establishing lore or kind of one of
- 24:18Speaker 2: the later movies where we're just kind of making advertisements
- 24:23Speaker 2: for future movies.
- 24:24Speaker 6: I think both.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Let's talk about if you're introducing it the characters first
- 24:28Speaker 3: movie versus the Characters seventh, because we call those.
- 24:31Speaker 6: Movies when we're introducing things the gardens the garden because
- 24:34Speaker 6: it seats the you're planting. You're planting versus the forest
- 24:39Speaker 6: it is sprouted.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yes, and now we're dealing with big trees, and we saw.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And then the four third one the farmer's market, where
- 24:48Speaker 2: we're just trying to sell merchant.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Yeah we're God, Hey, you're already here, you already bought everything.
- 24:55Speaker 6: You might as well get some extramaz.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Right, And some times sometimes things will go from forest
- 25:04Speaker 1: to a farmer's market.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Yes, so fast that we're not even right movies.
- 25:08Speaker 7: It's just it's sad when you destroy a forest to
- 25:11Speaker 7: create a Farmer's Market.
- 25:12Speaker 4: But we then we have another genre of movie that
- 25:14Speaker 4: I like to call the Farmer's Market Friend, which is
- 25:17Speaker 4: about an obscure character in the Farmer's Market who barely
- 25:20Speaker 4: made the cut for the Farmer's Market and now we're
- 25:23Speaker 4: putting him front and center in the town square.
- 25:26Speaker 3: And of course we also have the Farmer's Market's Friends
- 25:29Speaker 3: Farmer's Market, which is usually a show on Disney Plus exactly.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and we have the Farmville, which is the mobile app.
- 25:39Speaker 2: We have to make a mobile You guys have to
- 25:43Speaker 2: go and play Marvel Rivals right now. Please play it,
- 25:46Speaker 2: playing Marble Rivals. Where you're watching this, take a shot
- 25:49Speaker 2: a picture using if it's on your phone you don't
- 25:52Speaker 2: have If you have another camera, grab it and take
- 25:55Speaker 2: it from the back and then.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Put your phone in it and your your computer in it.
- 26:00Speaker 9: So take that one more time, one more time, one
- 26:03Speaker 9: more time, so they know if you're watching this right
- 26:05Speaker 9: now and you're also playing Marvel Rivals, take another camera,
- 26:09Speaker 9: maybe your friend has one.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Even take a camera and from the back, take a
- 26:14Speaker 2: picture of your phone because you can't use your own
- 26:17Speaker 2: phone because you're playing Marvel Rivals.
- 26:18Speaker 6: Because you can't screenshot wait.
- 26:20Speaker 4: No, the social people had such a simple way of
- 26:22Speaker 4: explaining this.
- 26:23Speaker 6: What was it?
- 26:25Speaker 7: Take a pick up playing Marvel rivals.
- 26:27Speaker 6: Take a picup playing marl I hear something. They're supposed
- 26:31Speaker 6: to be in it too. Oh man, Lisa is gonna
- 26:34Speaker 6: kill us.
- 26:34Speaker 3: No.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I I like those social people, but I wish they
- 26:37Speaker 2: would stick up for themselves, because every time I talk
- 26:39Speaker 2: to them, they go, Okay, whatever you think, they run away.
- 26:42Speaker 2: I just start speaking and they say whatever you think,
- 26:44Speaker 2: and I don't think.
- 26:45Speaker 3: They like me.
- 26:46Speaker 7: Well, okay, let's talk about one thing that's going on
- 26:48Speaker 7: right now that we.
- 26:49Speaker 6: Well, we do have to go through the yeah of
- 26:52Speaker 6: this movie. Let's go.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Don't do the classic Marvel thing, which is brings something
- 26:55Speaker 2: up and never come back.
- 26:58Speaker 7: Always come back to it. Actually, we will come back.
- 27:02Speaker 6: There is a master planet.
- 27:04Speaker 4: Just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean it
- 27:08Speaker 4: will not appear in the future.
- 27:09Speaker 6: We have a forty six thousand phase plant.
- 27:11Speaker 1: And that's what I love about our buildings. There's a
- 27:14Speaker 1: there is a thing we do. It's kind of like
- 27:16Speaker 1: a lock box, if you will, where when we have
- 27:20Speaker 1: an idea that we plant, that we put into a
- 27:22Speaker 1: script and they don't know where it's going.
- 27:24Speaker 6: They won't let us go home.
- 27:25Speaker 2: No, yeah, no, we have to tie it in these
- 27:27Speaker 2: fans and talking to you guys, you gotta relax and
- 27:31Speaker 2: know that we know where we're going with this.
- 27:33Speaker 7: We know what we're doing.
- 27:34Speaker 6: There's a plan. Don't question us.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Y'all have been believing in God for thousands of years,
- 27:38Speaker 2: and you don't worry where he's at.
- 27:41Speaker 7: We're like God.
- 27:42Speaker 6: No one's worried about where God's at.
- 27:44Speaker 7: You worried about Nobody's.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Worried about where he is. Just think of us like God,
- 27:49Speaker 4: don't worry about it.
- 27:50Speaker 7: Don't worry about us.
- 27:51Speaker 6: And speaking of.
- 27:52Speaker 4: God, we have a divinely ordained story structure that we
- 27:57Speaker 4: uh can't wait to go for.
- 27:59Speaker 1: It just felt like it came down from the university
- 28:01Speaker 1: and it was shaking like an asteroid, and then it
- 28:04Speaker 1: in the right.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Yes, exactly, of course, there is Lord to this. Stan
- 28:09Speaker 4: Lee came across a pile of golden tablets in the
- 28:14Speaker 4: back lat of the Burbank mall and he it's the
- 28:20Speaker 4: Joseph Smith.
- 28:24Speaker 6: Art Joseph And we called the tablets the Joseph Smith.
- 28:30Speaker 4: And every story is divinely passed down from that.
- 28:35Speaker 6: Now we open with a.
- 28:36Speaker 4: Normal, accessible problem, exactly a problem one of you normies
- 28:41Speaker 4: without powers might understand, like high school, like dating, high.
- 28:44Speaker 3: School, running l to being an overworked doctor, single mom.
- 28:50Speaker 6: That's where it all begins.
- 28:52Speaker 2: That's where we get you some sort of flaw, but surprised,
- 28:55Speaker 2: something happens to them that changes their life, and.
- 28:58Speaker 6: Suddenly we got you by the nipples.
- 29:00Speaker 2: And then we spend a long time watching them adjust.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yes, it's oh my gosh. People love a training scene.
- 29:07Speaker 3: They are either training with a mentor or just training
- 29:10Speaker 3: by themselves. That takes up primarily Act two and Act
- 29:13Speaker 3: three and Act four.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Now this is where your stuff really comes into play.
- 29:18Speaker 6: We're gonna spend a lot of time on equips.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Of coursewhile a villain is introduced and it's doing something nefarious,
- 29:25Speaker 3: and by act three the main character realizes they're the
- 29:28Speaker 3: only person that can stop the villain when at the
- 29:32Speaker 3: halfway mark the villain kills somebody close to them.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yes, a little hint that we use is a normal
- 29:38Speaker 1: day starts with the morning, and this goes into the afternoon,
- 29:43Speaker 1: and just around the afternoon, when you're in the middle
- 29:46Speaker 1: of your training.
- 29:46Speaker 6: Montage, the sun goes down.
- 29:49Speaker 1: That's when we bring in the villain always at night, Yes, yes,
- 29:54Speaker 1: always at night.
- 29:54Speaker 2: We always bring in the villain at night because nighttime
- 29:58Speaker 2: is when bad people do bad stuff.
- 30:02Speaker 6: So most people have a three act structure.
- 30:04Speaker 4: We have a twenty four act structure, each for a
- 30:07Speaker 4: corresponding hour of the day. You experience your normal, relatable
- 30:11Speaker 4: problem at six am in the morning.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Every single person does that, and then every single bad
- 30:16Speaker 1: person does drugs at night.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Yes.
- 30:18Speaker 2: And also Act fourteen my one of my favorite acts,
- 30:22Speaker 2: and it's become a lot bigger since Disney Pluses has
- 30:25Speaker 2: some more involvements.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Weird little funny thing shows up.
- 30:28Speaker 6: Weird little funny thing.
- 30:29Speaker 4: A weird little funny thing, not a minion, not a minion,
- 30:35Speaker 4: same thing we thought of before, and it's been in
- 30:39Speaker 4: the works for decades.
- 30:41Speaker 6: And we have it in the email minion and.
- 30:43Speaker 1: We have everything tracked, and you could look at the
- 30:45Speaker 1: dropbox where we have all of it.
- 30:47Speaker 7: I've never even.
- 30:48Speaker 6: Looked at aminion. I've never even even that.
- 30:51Speaker 2: I live in Studio City and have to take the
- 30:53Speaker 2: one on one and when I even peek out at Universal.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Studios with that big thing, I haven't even looked at it.
- 31:00Speaker 6: I didn't even know what it was.
- 31:01Speaker 7: I didn't even know what it was.
- 31:02Speaker 2: I literally I closed my eyes in that section of
- 31:04Speaker 2: the one on one.
- 31:06Speaker 1: And that's why there's so many accidents. There, so many
- 31:08Speaker 1: people every day close their eyes on the ass.
- 31:10Speaker 6: They hate it, they don't know what it is. They close.
- 31:13Speaker 6: Why is the sun wearing overalls for the last ten years?
- 31:15Speaker 6: I thought it was the griff of observatory.
- 31:17Speaker 7: I thought that Universal Studio, you're killing people.
- 31:20Speaker 6: On the high literally killing.
- 31:21Speaker 3: So then we go into act fifteen through twenty three basically,
- 31:26Speaker 3: and this is the moment where you're supposed to believe
- 31:29Speaker 3: that the main character is maybe gonna die and but not.
- 31:33Speaker 3: But implicitly you understand they can't because we've already like
- 31:37Speaker 3: announced three other movies that they're in. Yes, true, Well
- 31:40Speaker 3: you really want to create a stake moment of that
- 31:42Speaker 3: this person is really in trouble.
- 31:44Speaker 7: Why if we lose them forever?
- 31:45Speaker 2: And I do want to say rest and fees to
- 31:47Speaker 2: a couple of the people we've lost Black widow.
- 31:49Speaker 7: Black Widow, Gomamura. And that's about it.
- 31:52Speaker 6: That's about it.
- 31:53Speaker 10: That's all we could and once once, but then he
- 31:58Speaker 10: was reborn in velvet and velvet Velvet got killed, shot
- 32:03Speaker 10: a thousand times.
- 32:05Speaker 7: It was a big choice. We were really trying to
- 32:06Speaker 7: raise the stakes.
- 32:07Speaker 6: When we killed a thousand times and killed Velvet.
- 32:09Speaker 2: That that funny little rabbit in the punish sir, we
- 32:13Speaker 2: shot him a thousand.
- 32:27Speaker 3: People always ask, like, you know, in the first phase,
- 32:29Speaker 3: we've already had such a cataclysmic event, huge cataclysmic event,
- 32:35Speaker 3: that how do you come back from this? Like it
- 32:37Speaker 3: is phase two when when uh Thanos destroys the entire
- 32:41Speaker 3: universe and kills literally everybody, how do you raise the stakes? Well,
- 32:45Speaker 3: I realized the cutest thing shooting it more and more
- 32:48Speaker 3: and more. I want to ask you guy. I ask
- 32:51Speaker 3: you guys this all the time.
- 32:52Speaker 1: And it's similar to what you just said, which is
- 32:55Speaker 1: I was at a FI when you guys implemented the
- 32:59Speaker 1: first time there was a more verse, which I think
- 33:01Speaker 1: changed content forever where you can experience the high stakes
- 33:06Speaker 1: of death and loss. But as a storyteller, you don't
- 33:10Speaker 1: have to clean up the mess. You could just start
- 33:12Speaker 1: back off.
- 33:12Speaker 3: You can just find one other person in the other
- 33:16Speaker 3: universe that's the same and replace them.
- 33:18Speaker 6: And we're not going to address how weird and crazy.
- 33:20Speaker 2: No, no, and I will say. In the past few
- 33:22Speaker 2: years that has been a balm on our storytelling. It's
- 33:25Speaker 2: been such a relief. We are done with it.
- 33:28Speaker 6: We're done, We're done, We're done. We're done. We're from
- 33:32Speaker 6: the guy that's pretty built, where the.
- 33:35Speaker 3: X Men is joining, We're done, where the multiverse is over.
- 33:39Speaker 6: There's only one verse.
- 33:40Speaker 7: Can we say that the X Men are coming? Can
- 33:42Speaker 7: we say.
- 33:43Speaker 2: That we talk about the X Men upcoming slate?
- 33:48Speaker 1: I want to make sure all the doors are locked. Yeah,
- 33:51Speaker 1: I want to make sure these cameras aren't locked.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Well, let's talk really before we talk about opening slate,
- 33:55Speaker 3: just a intro two, Opening slate Phase eight. We've started
- 33:58Speaker 3: to really stretch. You know, we're doing things with the Marvel.
- 34:04Speaker 3: We want to be big action movies, but we also
- 34:06Speaker 3: want to hint of a twenty four. We want to
- 34:08Speaker 3: do guests you to make you feel like you're watching
- 34:10Speaker 3: a knon movie. You know, we want to do gay stuff.
- 34:14Speaker 6: You want to do straight stuff. We want to just
- 34:15Speaker 6: do stuff. We want to do.
- 34:16Speaker 4: Gay stuff that we can replicate in a ride at Disneyland.
- 34:20Speaker 4: So that is the metric that we're pushing to, and
- 34:24Speaker 4: that's the barrier that we're excited to run up again.
- 34:27Speaker 6: That's what it is.
- 34:27Speaker 1: A twenty four is gay stuff? And where we are
- 34:30Speaker 1: our rides and where do they meet?
- 34:32Speaker 2: They've officially told us that our gay movie cannot be
- 34:36Speaker 2: gayer than the Monster's Ink Rides at Disneyland, And.
- 34:39Speaker 6: What does that mean?
- 34:40Speaker 4: Huh? Movie can be placed on a spectrum by which
- 34:45Speaker 4: the Monster's Ink Ride is the metric of gayness.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Disney is saying that's the gayest thing they've ever done, and.
- 34:55Speaker 7: We don't know what that means.
- 34:57Speaker 6: And I don't agree, but there's kind of a feeling sometimes,
- 35:02Speaker 6: are you feeling this is gay? This is? This is
- 35:06Speaker 6: kind of gay?
- 35:08Speaker 4: Madam Webb gayer than the monsters in cry Yes?
- 35:12Speaker 6: Yes, so we won't touch it so well, so don't
- 35:16Speaker 6: worry about So let's just.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Say, Madam web is is the bit of the forbidden fruit.
- 35:20Speaker 7: It was so bad.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It's good. But they're telling us we're not allowed to
- 35:24Speaker 2: try and be bad. But sometimes, if I'm being honest,
- 35:26Speaker 2: we end up bad.
- 35:28Speaker 7: So why don't we.
- 35:28Speaker 6: Just try to be bad?
- 35:29Speaker 7: So I want to clean out a little bit. Let's
- 35:33Speaker 7: be campy.
- 35:34Speaker 6: Let's see that's wild to me? Why would we ever
- 35:36Speaker 6: do that? We're the Marvel Universe because it's phase eight. Okay, Riley,
- 35:40Speaker 6: it's phase eight. We need to stretch it. Okay.
- 35:42Speaker 3: People don't want to just go see Doctor Who save
- 35:45Speaker 3: another planet. They want to Doctor Who, Doctor Strange, No, no, no, no.
- 35:54Speaker 6: Unannouncement to make.
- 35:58Speaker 7: Undone and then stay Part two, Who Saves the.
- 36:01Speaker 6: Day, Doctor t Part Who?
- 36:04Speaker 3: We got folks, Party Part Who.
- 36:08Speaker 4: Doctor Who has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- 36:12Speaker 6: The tagline. The tagline is who's in this now? In
- 36:16Speaker 6: this now?
- 36:16Speaker 2: It's honestly feasible because Disney owns Doctor Who and it.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Just like Star Wars is about to enter the Marvel Universe,
- 36:23Speaker 3: so is Doctor Who.
- 36:26Speaker 4: Soon, the Marvel Universe will become so large that it
- 36:29Speaker 4: will merge with the very universe itself, and there will
- 36:32Speaker 4: only be one universe.
- 36:34Speaker 6: The universe. We don't have to say Marvel anymore.
- 36:39Speaker 11: Guys, just be the you m It'll be the the you,
- 36:44Speaker 11: the day you, the normal You, the gay You, and
- 36:55Speaker 11: the normal you.
- 36:56Speaker 6: Guys.
- 36:57Speaker 2: You're going to love this universe. And the reason why I,
- 37:00Speaker 2: the head of Mythology, is okay with it is because
- 37:03Speaker 2: guess what if we make it broader, there's room for everything.
- 37:07Speaker 7: Yes, so I used to be mad because we only
- 37:09Speaker 7: had the comics.
- 37:10Speaker 2: But now we're including National Geographic as part of the
- 37:13Speaker 2: Marvel universe.
- 37:14Speaker 4: There are more things for you to be correct about,
- 37:17Speaker 4: and even more now that in twenty twenty nine, Ursula's
- 37:21Speaker 4: Revenge is coming to Marvel.
- 37:23Speaker 6: Yes, so exciting.
- 37:25Speaker 3: In Ursula's Revenge, we're taking Ursula, the uh famed aerial
- 37:29Speaker 3: character and making her a.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Villain, and you're giving sea and into the U and
- 37:34Speaker 4: we're giving.
- 37:35Speaker 6: Her a daughter's getting a daughter.
- 37:38Speaker 1: My favorite is when you grab something out of Disney,
- 37:41Speaker 1: you throw it into the you, and you give it
- 37:42Speaker 1: a kid, give it a daughter.
- 37:44Speaker 6: I love doing that.
- 37:45Speaker 2: I cannot wait for you to see Ursula and her
- 37:48Speaker 2: daughter go toe to toe with uh Drax the Destroyer.
- 37:54Speaker 7: It's gonna be so exciting for you. It's an exciting
- 37:58Speaker 7: for me. And now I get to all this new mythology.
- 38:01Speaker 7: I get to look up Ursula, I get to know
- 38:03Speaker 7: what she's all about.
- 38:04Speaker 1: And you know what's fun about Ursula, It's something that
- 38:06Speaker 1: we haven't touched on. Where what about a hero getting
- 38:09Speaker 1: intrigued by sound?
- 38:10Speaker 6: Yes, no, not color, it sound exactly. All these other
- 38:17Speaker 6: heroes are so visual.
- 38:18Speaker 4: But a sound being an enemy that's an anti villain
- 38:23Speaker 4: aka a hero. We can work with with a opera
- 38:26Speaker 4: singer daughter and you will.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Believe what happened when Ursula seals Jarvis's voice because Jarvis.
- 38:33Speaker 7: Is like it. It's like Seily for Tony Hawk Tony Stark.
- 38:37Speaker 7: By the way, Tony Hawk.
- 38:40Speaker 6: A universe, ladies and Hawkeye is what movie hawkye?
- 38:47Speaker 3: It's Tony Hawk teaches Hawkey how to skateboard.
- 38:50Speaker 7: Hot guy teaches Tony how to get over pain of
- 38:53Speaker 7: a debt.
- 38:54Speaker 4: Coming to Disneyland's frontier Land in twenty thirty two is
- 38:58Speaker 4: Tony Hawkeye the ride.
- 39:01Speaker 6: Were you ride out how Indiana Jones And we're making it.
- 39:08Speaker 7: We're doing it loudly. We're letting you come and watch
- 39:10Speaker 7: us rip it away?
- 39:11Speaker 6: Yes, because who's ripping it away? Urs a lot.
- 39:15Speaker 3: And these are exciting movies. But we're also in our
- 39:18Speaker 3: TV show. I mean, we're trying to create TV shows
- 39:20Speaker 3: that are watchable and not always about the spirit. I mean,
- 39:23Speaker 3: we have a movie or TV show coming out now.
- 39:25Speaker 3: It is a superhero in a world where people do
- 39:28Speaker 3: not like superheroes anymore. Trying to become an actor and
- 39:32Speaker 3: Ben Kingsley, this character from the Iron Man three movie
- 39:37Speaker 3: who is playing an actor, teaches him how to become
- 39:39Speaker 3: a good actor.
- 39:40Speaker 7: Yes, I mean that is it's a real show. It's
- 39:42Speaker 7: all wonder Man.
- 39:43Speaker 2: We're so excited. Yeah, yah, duel Mateen playing wonder Man.
- 39:48Speaker 6: Wonder Man, that's crazy.
- 39:49Speaker 1: That's child because, honestly, I think at some point we
- 39:52Speaker 1: hit it. We hit a wall when it was like, Okay,
- 39:54Speaker 1: what can we change superheroes to not be good anymore?
- 39:57Speaker 3: Yes? Can we can we figure out how to make
- 40:00Speaker 3: this superhero a small indie episode by episode Atlanta vibe.
- 40:05Speaker 3: I mean, we have squirrel Girl getting over postpartum. I'm
- 40:08Speaker 3: very excited about this beautiful, this babe show.
- 40:11Speaker 6: You're really exciting.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Of course, this squirrel Girl, she is, you know, control
- 40:16Speaker 3: of squirrels, and she unfortunately has a child and doesn't
- 40:20Speaker 3: love it.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Squirrel Girl excitingly played by of course Milly Bobby Brown.
- 40:26Speaker 6: My god, the things Milly is doing with squirrel Girl.
- 40:30Speaker 7: I mean this stretching squirrel Girl to all.
- 40:34Speaker 1: All postpartum heights, all postpartum heights.
- 40:37Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I love what we're doing with that.
- 40:39Speaker 1: What we get to do with TV that we don't
- 40:41Speaker 1: get to do with movies is we get to stretch.
- 40:44Speaker 1: It's like when you see a baker with taffy, just
- 40:47Speaker 1: move in the taffy around and you go, surely you
- 40:50Speaker 1: shouldn't keep spinning that.
- 40:52Speaker 4: Speaking of prosont woman is coming to Disney Plus in
- 40:58Speaker 4: twenty thirty five, and.
- 41:00Speaker 6: We are so excited. Croissant woman.
- 41:03Speaker 2: And you might remember her from The Avengers as of
- 41:05Speaker 2: Ultron when every was everything was running away, when all
- 41:09Speaker 2: the buildings were falling down, and a woman ran across
- 41:11Speaker 2: the screen with a CD.
- 41:14Speaker 1: And that woman has a story to tell because she
- 41:17Speaker 1: has a daughter.
- 41:19Speaker 6: She has a daughter.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Her powers involved getting up earlier than anyone should be.
- 41:25Speaker 6: We want to sleep.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Everyone's asleep, but not her. She is using her powers
- 41:30Speaker 4: to make yeast rise.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And what happens when east yeast rises? What she gets
- 41:38Speaker 1: an East infection.
- 41:40Speaker 4: That's her flaw, her personality flaws which she has stay East.
- 41:45Speaker 6: Infection, it's her kryptonite.
- 41:47Speaker 7: We're so excited.
- 41:48Speaker 2: You don't know the actress again, she was a featured extra,
- 41:52Speaker 2: but you're well, you will.
- 41:54Speaker 6: You're gonna have backpacks of her face come this. Twenty
- 41:57Speaker 6: forty two.
- 41:57Speaker 7: The Power of Wake.
- 41:59Speaker 2: Let's talk about our favorite superpowers, by the way, Yeah,
- 42:01Speaker 2: let's strip them off.
- 42:02Speaker 7: I mean I love a superpower.
- 42:04Speaker 6: I love a superpower, superpower.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Superpower, and what we would put them in, what movie
- 42:09Speaker 3: or TV show we would put them in.
- 42:11Speaker 6: This is a fun game. I love that. Good, this
- 42:13Speaker 6: is this is fun.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Go ahead, okay, super speed quicksiver So slows down to
- 42:18Speaker 3: raise a kid like raising Arizona.
- 42:20Speaker 7: Oh that's really fun.
- 42:21Speaker 6: Oh that's good. That's good.
- 42:24Speaker 7: It's fun.
- 42:25Speaker 2: The power to mimic voices, to take on other people's
- 42:28Speaker 2: voice and sound like them. They end up doing voiceover
- 42:33Speaker 2: whoa one.
- 42:38Speaker 4: And the power, the power to be really stretchy, the
- 42:41Speaker 4: power to be a really stretchy lady.
- 42:43Speaker 6: And it has to be a lady stretchy, stretchy lady.
- 42:45Speaker 4: And we put her in a Forever twenty one and
- 42:48Speaker 4: have her try on every size they have.
