- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: All right, thank you, Sean. Let's go to Nat, get
- 0:04Speaker 2: a hit of celeb news.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Laverne Cox is the transgender woman who you'd know mostly
- 0:09Speaker 3: from the Netflix series Orange is the New Black.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Do you know the one I'm talking about?
- 0:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I had a girlfriend that was really into that.
- 0:15Speaker 2: I was like, I don't care about it.
- 0:16Speaker 1: It was huge at the time.
- 0:18Speaker 3: So she also became the first transgender person to be
- 0:21Speaker 3: nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the acting category. Now,
- 0:26Speaker 3: she was recently on Kiki Palmer's podcast and was telling.
- 0:28Speaker 1: A story about when she went on a Raya date recently.
- 0:31Speaker 1: You know Raya?
- 0:32Speaker 2: It's the famous dating app.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Well, it's supposed to be, but in Australia, Raya is
- 0:36Speaker 1: not hard to get onto.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Why is there a bunch of nobodies on there?
- 0:38Speaker 1: There's just tradies on there. I don't know how they're
- 0:40Speaker 1: getting on.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Really?
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, you just have to refer someone.
- 0:43Speaker 3: But then certain celebrities can't get on, but then they'll
- 0:46Speaker 3: let on, I don't know, bloody Mick the Builder.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Really?
- 0:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Maybe they need, maybe there's not enough famous people, so
- 0:53Speaker 4: they just.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Have to let trainees on.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I reckon that's what's happening in Australia. But anyway,
- 0:57Speaker 3: this is what happened when she went on a date
- 0:59Speaker 3: with someone she met in Raya.
- 1:01Speaker 5: I was so offended. This one guy, after our first date,
- 1:06Speaker 5: he sends me a proposal for a documentary. I was like,
- 1:11Speaker 5: do you understand how many people want to get a
- 1:13Speaker 5: meeting with me?
- 1:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15Speaker 5: I don't need to be on Raya for meetings.
- 1:17Speaker 2: So not looking a date.
- 1:19Speaker 3: So like she thought it was for a date. And
- 1:21Speaker 3: then she goes on the date with this guy and
- 1:23Speaker 3: he asks her to be in his documentary.
- 1:25Speaker 1: So he saw her and thought, oh, this is my time.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And that's how I'm going to get her.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I like the hustle. I mean, it's hard to get
- 1:30Speaker 2: meetings with famous people.
- 1:31Speaker 3: But also dates are like job interviews enough. The last
- 1:34Speaker 3: thing you want is to actually be offered a job
- 1:37Speaker 3: on a date. Also, Nicole Kidman is in the sequel
- 1:42Speaker 3: of Practical Magic, Practical Magic 2, which is coming out soon.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And she was doing an interview with her niece, actually,
- 1:48Speaker 3: where they got to talking about the fact that their
- 1:50Speaker 3: family's into a bit of witchcraft stuff.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Like it runs in their family.
- 1:54Speaker 3: It all stems back to the Kidman grandma who was
- 1:57Speaker 3: into it and kind of passed it down the line.
- 1:59Speaker 3: So anyway, Nicole's niece asked Nicole what her favorite spell
- 2:02Speaker 3: is because apparently she does them herself in real life.
- 2:05Speaker 1: And this is what she said.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Pfft.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You know this about the Kidman women.
- 2:08Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:08Speaker 1: We sway to the more magical side. Some people would
- 2:11Speaker 1: say witches. That all makes sense now. What are your
- 2:15Speaker 1: favorite spells?
- 2:16Speaker 4: Love spells. But if I'm a little bit upset with someone,
- 2:19Speaker 4: I will write their name and put it in the freezer.
- 2:21Speaker 4: What does that do?
- 2:22Speaker 1: Freezes them out.
- 2:24Speaker 2: She sounds like she's off for the fairies.
- 2:26Speaker 1: That name in the freezer thing, I've heard, well, I didn't.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Oh, so you're off for the fairies too then if you.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Believe in this stuff? No, so it's just a thing
- 2:36Speaker 1: that goes.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Whose name was it?
- 2:37Speaker 1: Kane's.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You put your fiancé' s name in the freezer. Lucky that
- 2:40Speaker 2: stuff doesn't work.
- 2:41Speaker 1: I think I've told him before, but maybe I haven't.
- 2:44Speaker 3: So, yeah, he might be finding this out for the
- 2:46Speaker 3: first time right now.
- 2:46Speaker 1: But we dated once and then we stopped talking.
- 2:50Speaker 3: And me and a few friends were doing it just
- 2:53Speaker 3: for like a bit of fun. And we were all
- 2:55Speaker 3: putting someone's name in the freezer and I put his
- 2:57Speaker 3: name in the freezer.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So it obviously doesn't work because... Or it does and
- 3:02Speaker 1: it makes them better.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Because then we came back, we got engaged.
- 3:05Speaker 1: We're expecting a child.
- 3:07Speaker 2: It doesn't work.
- 3:07Speaker 4: But you girls can go off with that woo-woo stuff.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I just can't get there, like with my head. And
- 3:13Speaker 4: it's one thing when I was dating talking of, if
- 3:16Speaker 4: a chick started going on about that, and Star Sirens
- 3:19Speaker 4: and the universe and everything happens for a reason and
- 3:23Speaker 4: I'm just like, glaze over, not interested.
- 3:25Speaker 2: No woo-woo for me, Sean. I agree.
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah, most blokes are just like, no, but you can even,
- 3:30Speaker 4: I know you're a very sensible, smart girl, but you
- 3:32Speaker 4: can still entertain that stuff, yeah?
- 3:33Speaker 2: It's fun. Is it because it's fun? Is that what
- 3:36Speaker 2: it is? Yeah, why not?
- 3:37Speaker 1: And it doesn't harm anyone.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, but you don't want a dude to be into that,
- 3:40Speaker 2: do you? Really?
- 3:41Speaker 1: I mean, entertain me, though. Really?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Yeah, they shut it down. They go, no, not real.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yeah, look, like if I was, if I started telling
- 3:49Speaker 3: my fiance about it, he'd entertain me to a little bit,
- 3:52Speaker 3: but then he'd also just be like, come on.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You know, so it's just not a hard no for me.
