- 0:23Speaker 2: Todd Starnes.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Hello fellow patriots. Jeff Stein filling in for Todd Starnes
- 0:29Speaker 1: today on this Tuesday edition of the Fun Fest podcast.
- 0:33Speaker 1: coast to coast across the great United States of America.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Thanks so much for being along. I'm coming to you
- 0:39Speaker 1: from the Liberty University studio at my home base, News
- 0:42Speaker 1: Talk 1540 KXEL in the heartland of Iowa.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Mr.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Starnes is going to have a great time later today
- 0:51Speaker 1: in H-Town, Houston, Texas. He is going to be the
- 0:55Speaker 1: special guest at The 2A Tuesday event at Collectors Firearms there,
- 1:01Speaker 1: and you may have heard him talk about this. I've
- 1:03Speaker 1: seen the postings on the social media, and I am
- 1:05Speaker 1: jealous as all get out. If you go to PatriotTalk920. com,
- 1:11Speaker 1: that is the tremendous Starnes affiliate in Houston, PatriotTalk920. com. So
- 1:17Speaker 1: Patriot Talk 920 has a series of events called 2A Tuesdays.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It is at a place called Collectors Firearms, which looks
- 1:28Speaker 1: like a fantastic operation on Westheimer Road there in Houston.
- 1:32Speaker 1: And if you go out there, and there's plenty of
- 1:34Speaker 1: time for you to get in the car and get there,
- 1:36Speaker 1: they'll do the live broadcast, 4 o'clock local time. And
- 1:40Speaker 1: then it's the normal 2A Tuesday social with free food
- 1:45Speaker 1: and drinks. And one lucky attendee will win a firearm.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And you got Todd Starnes there as well. You can
- 1:52Speaker 1: pick up a copy of his excellent new book, The
- 1:55Speaker 1: Golden Age. This thing's been out for several weeks, but
- 1:59Speaker 1: it's still in the top ten in various categories of Amazon.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And you've seen Todd on the TV box talking about
- 2:06Speaker 1: it in all places, C-SPAN and some of these other spots.
- 2:10Speaker 1: But if you are anywhere near Houston, you've got to
- 2:16Speaker 1: get to Collector's Firearms this afternoon. Four until seven is
- 2:21Speaker 1: the event. There's the broadcast, there's the book signing, free
- 2:24Speaker 1: food and drink, and someone's walking away with a Walther 9mm.
- 2:29Speaker 1: That's part of their 2A Tuesdays program. Wow, what a
- 2:33Speaker 1: great idea. This is giving radio stations across the country.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Nice job, Patriot Talk 920 in Houston. So that is
- 2:40Speaker 1: why Todd is away today, and he'll be away tomorrow,
- 2:44Speaker 1: and the team has been kind enough to invite me
- 2:46Speaker 1: to sit behind the microphone today. while he is in Houston. 901-260-5926,
- 2:53Speaker 1: same number as always. Dial in. We've got time for
- 2:57Speaker 1: your calls throughout this hour. A few guests sprinkled throughout
- 3:00Speaker 1: the program as well. Coming up in the second hour
- 3:04Speaker 1: of the program, an hour from now, we're going to
- 3:06Speaker 1: be speaking with Mark Meckler of Convention of States Action.
- 3:10Speaker 1: We're going to be talking about the atrocities overseas and
- 3:14Speaker 1: how that's not just overseas atrocities. The infiltration, and you
- 3:18Speaker 1: heard Todd talk about this yesterday, the infiltration is right
- 3:21Speaker 1: here in our backyard. Mark Meckler of Convention of States Action,
- 3:25Speaker 1: one hour away. Also in the second hour of the program,
- 3:28Speaker 1: the chief political strategist of this fine radio effort, Josh Jones,
- 3:31Speaker 1: stops by to talk about news of the day. And
- 3:34Speaker 1: Newsmax contributor and host Mary Walter is along in hour
- 3:38Speaker 1: number three. But again, your calls throughout at 901-260-5926. I
- 3:46Speaker 1: am struck by, and here we are just two weeks away,
- 3:50Speaker 1: two weeks away from election day, and I'm struck by
- 3:53Speaker 1: the silly season, as they often say. It gets to
- 3:56Speaker 1: be the silly season when you're this close to an election.
- 4:00Speaker 1: The silly part of what I'm about to tell you
- 4:03Speaker 1: is how Democrats are acting as if their time in
- 4:09Speaker 1: office never happened and that nobody would look back at it. Now,
- 4:13Speaker 1: It is true. We live, unfortunately, in my view, we
- 4:17Speaker 1: live in a what-have-you-done-for-me-lately society. We don't like to look
- 4:22Speaker 1: back and we say, ah, that's history, that's old, that
- 4:25Speaker 1: doesn't matter anymore. The Democrats would hope that you don't
- 4:32Speaker 1: remember how things were when they were in charge. Because
- 4:37Speaker 1: if you think, wow, you know, things are kind of
- 4:39Speaker 1: turbulent with Trump. He keeps it stirred up and, boy,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I sure don't like paying $ 70 to fill up my
- 4:44Speaker 1: tank with gas. And so you might be in a
- 4:47Speaker 1: weak moment susceptible to hear their little charms, their little attempts. Well,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm here to make sure we keep you on the
- 4:57Speaker 1: straight and narrow. Because some of these folks who act
- 5:02Speaker 1: like their hands were clean and they were innocent as
- 5:07Speaker 1: all get out, They're the ones who have done the
- 5:10Speaker 1: worst things. You know, there's a saying that the thing
- 5:15Speaker 1: that you complain about the most about others, you're actually
- 5:18Speaker 1: doing yourself. And that is certainly the case with Democrats.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And I've got a variety of things that I'll mention
- 5:26Speaker 1: as we go through this Tuesday edition of the program.
- 5:28Speaker 1: But let's start. Let's start with Barack Hussein Obama. Now,
- 5:33Speaker 1: I don't like to. I would like to forget that.
- 5:37Speaker 1: the eight years where he tried to fundamentally change America,
- 5:41Speaker 1: and let's start with that, folks. When Barack Obama ran,
- 5:46Speaker 1: he said he would fundamentally change America, and then proceeded
- 5:51Speaker 1: to try. Luckily, the American people figured it out, but still,
- 5:57Speaker 1: that was his goal, no different than the socialists running today. Well,
- 6:02Speaker 1: now it's near election time, and Barack Hussein... You can
- 6:06Speaker 1: call him Barry Obama has resurfaced. And the last time
- 6:10Speaker 1: I think I was here, we talked about him going
- 6:13Speaker 1: on the campaign trail for various candidates up in Michigan
- 6:17Speaker 1: and other places. So Barry Obama posted on the Twitter
- 6:23Speaker 1: X machine the other day, I mean, paragraphs of righteous indignation.
- 6:31Speaker 1: about the Justice Department, law enforcement in this country, investigating
- 6:37Speaker 1: Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota. Now, forget for the moment
- 6:43Speaker 1: that these same folks who were wringing their hands and
- 6:47Speaker 1: clutching at their pearls and waving themselves with fans because
- 6:51Speaker 1: they had the vapors, these same folks who are doing
- 6:55Speaker 1: all of that now, they were very quiet. When agents
- 7:00Speaker 1: were raiding Melania's personal chest of drawers at Mar-a-Lago and
- 7:06Speaker 1: running a search operation based upon bogus information, they were
- 7:11Speaker 1: quiet then. Well, I want to cite a few things
- 7:15Speaker 1: that Barack Hussein Barry Obama wrote on TwitterX. Now, I'm
- 7:22Speaker 1: going to try to read these sentences, friends, without cracking
- 7:26Speaker 1: up laughing. It may be hard. It may be hard,
- 7:29Speaker 1: but here it is. This is from Obama, President 44,
- 7:34Speaker 1: if you will. It is a basic principle of American
- 7:37Speaker 1: democracy that the government can't selectively target individuals simply because
- 7:41Speaker 1: of their political beliefs or what they say. Okay, stop
- 7:45Speaker 1: right there. It is a basic principle of American democracy
- 7:49Speaker 1: that the government can't selectively target individuals simply because of
- 7:54Speaker 1: their political beliefs or what they say. What did his
- 7:58Speaker 1: administration do during the 2016 campaign? What did the Biden
- 8:03Speaker 1: administration do, right down to figuring out who bought a
- 8:08Speaker 1: MAGA hat? I go on. To understand why this is
- 8:15Speaker 1: so appalling, and he's talking about Ilhan Omar's investigation, he said,
- 8:21Speaker 1: it's important to know the facts. He says Congresswoman Omar
- 8:25Speaker 1: came to this country with her father when she was
- 8:27Speaker 1: 12 years old. Well, they're investigating whether he actually is
- 8:30Speaker 1: her father, because that makes a difference. Five years later,
- 8:35Speaker 1: her father became a naturalized citizen. If Ilhan, because they're buds,
- 8:40Speaker 1: he goes first name on us, had been 18 at
- 8:42Speaker 1: the time, she would have had to apply for citizenship separately.
- 8:45Speaker 1: But because she was 17, she became a naturalized citizen automatically.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Stop right there. We're not sure of her birth year.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So right from the second paragraph, there are two potential
- 8:59Speaker 1: huge fact errors. Was he really her father? And what
- 9:03Speaker 1: was her age at the time? And then he goes on, blah, blah.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Now the administration is actively, Barry Obama says, trying to
- 9:11Speaker 1: deport Congresswoman Omar, seemingly based solely on the unsubstantiated theory
- 9:17Speaker 1: that she was actually 18 when her father was naturalized
- 9:20Speaker 1: and therefore is not a citizen. all to try and
- 9:24Speaker 1: uncover a non-existent smoking gun from 20 years ago that
- 9:27Speaker 1: will somehow make their case. Justice delayed is justice denied,
- 9:34Speaker 1: Professor Obama. If a criminal act took place, there's no
- 9:40Speaker 1: passage of time exemption. There's no way she can run
- 9:46Speaker 1: and touch a rock and say, base, I waited you out,
- 9:51Speaker 1: you can't do it. Here in my state of Iowa,
- 9:54Speaker 1: we just arrested someone on a cold case, murder case.
- 9:58Speaker 1: It was 30 years old. What's the defense? Well, he
- 10:01Speaker 1: got away with it for 30 years. Why are you
- 10:03Speaker 1: prosecuting now? Here again, the fiction of President 44. The
- 10:11Speaker 1: full weight of the federal government is being brought down
- 10:14Speaker 1: on a law-abiding elected official because she dared to criticize
- 10:18Speaker 1: the president.
- 10:20Speaker 3: No.
- 10:22Speaker 1: First of all, law-abiding. How about all the Somali fraud?
- 10:27Speaker 1: How about the full weight of the federal government being
- 10:29Speaker 1: brought down on someone? And he closes by saying, the
- 10:35Speaker 1: fact that any president or any administration is willing to
- 10:40Speaker 1: engage in such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage
- 10:45Speaker 1: all Americans regardless of how they feel about Congresswoman Omar's
- 10:49Speaker 1: political views. Yeah, we did feel that way when you
- 10:55Speaker 1: and your group of thugs did it. Yeah, we did
- 10:59Speaker 1: feel that way when your boy Biden did it. And
- 11:04Speaker 1: the former president closes by saying, because if this becomes
- 11:10Speaker 1: the new normal, there's no reason to believe it will
- 11:13Speaker 1: stop with her or that future presidents in either party
- 11:16Speaker 1: won't do the same. This is going to sound childlike.
- 11:23Speaker 1: But dude, you started it.
- 11:28Speaker 4: All of the.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Surveillance of Trump during the 2016 campaign, simply so you
- 11:33Speaker 1: could get horrid Hillary across the finish line to preserve
- 11:38Speaker 1: your own legacy, and you're complaining because we have monumental
- 11:47Speaker 1: fraud in the state of Minnesota. That's her backyard. It
- 11:56Speaker 1: is the audacity, the ability to say this with a
- 12:03Speaker 1: straight face when they know the record. Because again, they
- 12:06Speaker 1: started it. Now that's not to say that what's happening
- 12:09Speaker 1: now is the same thing in any way. What's happening
- 12:13Speaker 1: now is, how about we crack down on immigration and fraud?
- 12:16Speaker 1: How about that? President Obama, I mean, he won the title.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I don't think there were any problems with those elections.
- 12:27Speaker 1: I can't really say President Biden, but that's a different issue.
- 12:30Speaker 1: President Obama has some very strong words here, but has
- 12:37Speaker 1: conveniently forgotten what his own administration did to target conservatives. Well, luckily,
- 12:45Speaker 1: as a public service, I'm here to remind him. That's
- 12:51Speaker 1: a piece of paper, as God bless Rush used to do.
- 12:55Speaker 1: I'm holding in my hand, it goes back to another
- 12:58Speaker 1: time too, I'm holding in my hand a list of
- 13:00Speaker 1: atrocities by the Obama administration targeting conservatives. I had forgotten
- 13:06Speaker 1: about some of these. I don't want Barry Obama to forget.
- 13:10Speaker 1: More importantly, as we look to November 3rd, I don't
- 13:13Speaker 1: want you to forget. And when we come back, having
- 13:16Speaker 1: just heard from President Obama and his wonderful verbiage that
- 13:22Speaker 1: someone wrote for him, I'm here to share some of
- 13:25Speaker 1: the atrocities of the Obama administration that put what's going
- 13:32Speaker 1: on now with Omar to shame, especially since I think
- 13:35Speaker 1: there is a there there with her. There is a
- 13:38Speaker 1: lot there with her. This other stuff, not so much,
- 13:41Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it after this break. 901-260-5926. Please
- 13:46Speaker 1: join the Coast to Coast conversation. I'm Jeff Stein in
- 13:49Speaker 1: the Liberty University studio for Todd. He is in Houston
- 13:52Speaker 1: for a 2A Tuesday with Patriot Talk, 920 a.m. More
- 13:56Speaker 1: of the Todd Starnes Show in a moment.
- 13:59Speaker 5: I was thinking back to the pandemic in 2020 when
- 14:02Speaker 5: the media narrative was absolute. People suggesting early alternatives were
- 14:06Speaker 5: actually silenced and deplatformed. The late Dr. Zev Zelenko was
- 14:10Speaker 5: at the center of the controversy with ZStack and the
- 14:14Speaker 5: Zelenko Protocol. He faced immense criticism for sharing his approach.
- 14:18Speaker 5: But President Trump later cited Dr. Zelenko during a press briefing.
- 14:24Speaker 5: And today, his legacy lives on through the original Z-Stack formula.

- 15:04Speaker 1: Welcome back to the Liberty University studio and the Todd
- 15:07Speaker 1: Starnes Show. Jeff Stein filling in for Todd today. Mr.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Starnes is in Houston for an event tonight with Patriot
- 15:13Speaker 1: Talk 920 at Collector's Firearms there in town. Four to seven.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Free food, free drink, free radio. Somebody's going to win
- 15:21Speaker 1: a free firearm and you can purchase a copy of
- 15:24Speaker 1: The Golden Age. Todd Starnes' great new book. Collector's Firearms, Houston.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Patriot Talk 920 is the radio station. Go under their
- 15:33Speaker 1: events tab at PatriotTalk920. com for more information. So in the
- 15:38Speaker 1: prior segment, I was highlighting what former President Barry Obama
- 15:42Speaker 1: wrote on the Twitter X machine. He said it is
- 15:45Speaker 1: a basic principle of American democracy that the government can't
- 15:49Speaker 1: selectively target individuals simply because of their political beliefs or
- 15:53Speaker 1: what they say. Wish he had thought that same thing when.
- 16:00Speaker 1: He approved of the IRS targeting Tea Party, Patriot, and
- 16:04Speaker 1: 9-12 groups. I wish he felt the same way when
- 16:11Speaker 1: his administration approved of Lois Lerner's role in the IRS
- 16:16Speaker 1: targeting and looked the other way and actually contributed to
- 16:21Speaker 1: her missing emails. And speaking of the IRS, how about this?
- 16:27Speaker 1: The delay of the Crossroads GPS application. How about IRS
- 16:31Speaker 1: targeting of True the Vote and Katherine Engelbrecht? How about
- 16:36Speaker 1: that stuff, President Obama? Not enough for you? How about
- 16:41Speaker 1: Operation Fast and Furious? Guns from that link to Brian
- 16:45Speaker 1: Terry's death. The Attorney General and wingman is, he called himself,
- 16:52Speaker 1: your wingman Eric Holder was held in contempt over. Fast.
- 16:56Speaker 1: and furious. How about that? It's a basic principle of
- 17:01Speaker 1: American democracy that government can't selectively target individuals simply because
- 17:06Speaker 1: of their political beliefs or what they say. You're writing
- 17:09Speaker 1: that now. Wish you had thought that when the Department
- 17:14Speaker 1: of Justice, Mr. Holder's group, seized phone records of the
- 17:19Speaker 1: Associated Press. Wish you had thought that when you labeled
- 17:23Speaker 1: our friend James Rosen, now the chief Washington correspondent for Newsmax,
- 17:27Speaker 1: then with Fox, when you labeled him a co-conspirator and
- 17:32Speaker 1: you got a warrant for his emails. Wish you had
- 17:37Speaker 1: thought that then, President Obama. Wish you had thought that
- 17:42Speaker 1: when your Justice Department in 2013 came up with Operation Chokepoint.
- 17:50Speaker 1: This put pressure on gun dealers, ammunition sellers, and payday
- 17:54Speaker 1: lenders to expose your political enemies. I'm guessing the folks
- 18:02Speaker 1: at Collectors Firearms in Houston weren't real thrilled with the
- 18:06Speaker 1: concept of Operation Choke Point. Oh, don't forget Crossfire Hurricane,
- 18:11Speaker 1: that investigation. Don't forget a FISA warrant on Carter Page,
- 18:17Speaker 1: the use of the thoroughly discredited Steele dossier and FISA applications.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Did I mention that you yourself, Barry Obama, asserted executive
- 18:29Speaker 1: privilege on the whole Fast and Furious topic and endorsed
- 18:34Speaker 1: your wingman Eric Holder withholding documents tied to it? I'm
- 18:41Speaker 1: not even halfway through the list yet. So when Barack Obama,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm going to start calling him, you know, the president's
- 18:52Speaker 1: the commander-in-chief, right? I'm going to call him the pearl-clutcher-in-chief,
- 18:58Speaker 1: because these guys are just wringing their hands and clutching
- 19:00Speaker 1: their pearls, and they have the vapors and all this
- 19:03Speaker 1: good stuff. Barack Obama, pearl-clutcher-in-chief, complaining about an investigation of
- 19:10Speaker 1: Ilhan Omar when he did all of this other stuff.
- 19:14Speaker 1: There's more. I'll share it with you after this break.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Liberty University Studios location. Jeff Stein in for Todd. This
- 19:21Speaker 1: is the Todd Starn Show. Welcome back to the Liberty
- 19:39Speaker 1: University studio and the Todd Starnes show. Jeff Stein filling
- 19:42Speaker 1: in for Todd on this Tuesday. Todd is in Houston
- 19:46Speaker 1: for the big Patriot Talk 920 2A Tuesday. happy hour
- 19:50Speaker 1: and mixer at Collectors Firearms. Go to the events tab
- 19:53Speaker 1: of PatriotTalk920. com for the information. Free food, free drink, free radio.
- 19:58Speaker 1: Somebody's walking away with a free gun as well. Walder 9mm,
- 20:02Speaker 1: thank you very much. Most importantly, you can pick up
- 20:05Speaker 1: a copy of The Golden Age, get an autograph, get
- 20:07Speaker 1: your picture taken with Todd, all of that. If you're
- 20:10Speaker 1: anywhere near Houston, that's the place to be. It's 4
- 20:12Speaker 1: until 7 today. In our prior segment, I was talking
- 20:19Speaker 1: about the former president, the pearl-clutcher-in-chief, Mr. I-know-more-than-you-and-I'm-going-to-be-sanctimoniously-talking-down-to-you, Barry Obama.
- 20:30Speaker 1: And again, he's saying, this is his statement. I printed
- 20:34Speaker 1: it off so I could read it. The fact that
- 20:36Speaker 1: any president or any administration is willing to engage in
- 20:40Speaker 1: such transparent efforts to intimidate someone should outrage all Americans. Now, see,
- 20:46Speaker 1: here's the difference. He wasn't at all transparent, but he
- 20:50Speaker 1: did the same thing, selectively targeting individuals because of their
- 20:54Speaker 1: political beliefs. Told you I wasn't even halfway through the list.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Here's some more things. Investigation of Trump campaign advisors. Remember?
- 21:05Speaker 1: The investigation of Paul Manafort. The investigation of George Papadopoulos.
- 21:10Speaker 1: The prosecution of Dinesh D'Souza. And then there's the unmasking. No,
- 21:17Speaker 1: this is not something you do when you're done with
- 21:19Speaker 1: trick-or-treating on Halloween. Unmasking is a legal intelligence process where
- 21:25Speaker 1: the U.S. agencies reveal the identity of an American... that
- 21:30Speaker 1: was hidden or masked in a classified surveillance report. So
- 21:36Speaker 1: certain people in the Obama administration, like Joe Biden, Susan Rice,
- 21:43Speaker 1: James Clapper, John Brennan, Samantha Power, they all put in
- 21:47Speaker 1: unmasking requests to reveal the identity of Trump supporters. Remember
- 21:55Speaker 1: the unmasking of General Michael Flynn? and how that shakedown
- 22:00Speaker 1: took place. That's targeting Mr. Obama, Pearl Clutcher-in-Chief Obama. Then
- 22:11Speaker 1: there's Benghazi. Do you remember the talking points initially? I
- 22:18Speaker 1: cannot imagine that they sat around a table and said,
- 22:22Speaker 1: oh yeah, people will buy this. The attack. on American
- 22:27Speaker 1: personnel in Benghazi, the fatal attack. Remember they said it
- 22:32Speaker 1: was because of a video that had been posted on
- 22:34Speaker 1: social media, and it got the locals, got the natives
- 22:37Speaker 1: all riled up. And then when that story started to
- 22:41Speaker 1: fall apart, remember how they persecuted the Benghazi whistleblowers. That
- 22:49Speaker 1: seems to me to be selectively targeting an individual or
- 22:53Speaker 1: individuals simply because of their political beliefs or what they say.
- 22:57Speaker 1: But yet now, now that it's Ilhan Omar, well now
- 23:02Speaker 1: it's horrible, according to Mr.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Obama.
- 23:08Speaker 1: There were all manner of problems with the IRS that
- 23:11Speaker 1: we've already talked about some, but remember when they would
- 23:14Speaker 1: sit on the non-profit applications of from conservative groups. If
- 23:20Speaker 1: you're a liberal group, you got your tax-exempt status approved
- 23:24Speaker 1: right away. If you're a conservative group, they just sat
- 23:27Speaker 1: on it. So you could not raise money and you
- 23:29Speaker 1: could not oppose them. IRS demanding donor lists from conservative groups.
- 23:38Speaker 1: Department of Justice wingman Eric Holder being involved in IRS
- 23:42Speaker 1: targeting discussions. Yeah, all that stuff happened. the investigative journalist
- 23:49Speaker 1: Cheryl Atkison, and her surveillance, surveillance of her when CBS
- 23:56Speaker 1: sold her out. Now, we don't want any trouble with
- 23:58Speaker 1: the government. You're on the street. Yeah, that organization had
- 24:02Speaker 1: a strong backbone. All of those folks crying over there about,
- 24:05Speaker 1: oh no, there's new owners and CBS News isn't going
- 24:08Speaker 1: to be what it used to be. Good. That'd be good.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Maybe it could go back to being a news organization.
- 24:15Speaker 1: And again, we've talked about targeting of groups, 501c4 conservative groups,
- 24:21Speaker 1: Americans for Prosperity, etc., etc. All right, it's a full list.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I say that, and I've taken this amount of time
- 24:32Speaker 1: to go through it, because of how the Democrats are
- 24:36Speaker 1: trying to spin things now. Because the prosecution, the investigation,
- 24:43Speaker 1: a judge who signed a warrant.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And it's a Democrat congresswoman of questionable repute from Minnesota. Now,
- 24:54Speaker 1: they're rallying the troops around saying, well, this is terrible.
- 24:56Speaker 1: This can't happen in our country. Well, it's all of
- 25:02Speaker 1: our country, first of all. And second, y'all did the
- 25:06Speaker 1: same thing a decade ago or more and were much
- 25:12Speaker 1: more secretive about it. At least, The folks who are
- 25:18Speaker 1: going after this rogue congresswoman, they got a warrant from
- 25:22Speaker 1: a judge. They didn't set up some sort of shadow
- 25:26Speaker 1: government to do all of these things. They didn't start
- 25:30Speaker 1: investigating journalists. Oh, all of the hue and cry lately about,
- 25:37Speaker 1: oh no, CNN can't ride the press plane, or Politico,
- 25:41Speaker 1: you know, it's all a conspiracy. Okay.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Okay.
- 25:46Speaker 1: There's not enough room in the White House press room
- 25:50Speaker 1: for every journalist who wants to be there. There's just not.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I've been there. It's not that big a room. As
- 25:59Speaker 1: I recall, the briefing room used to be the swimming
- 26:01Speaker 1: pool where President Kennedy had, oh, let's call it relaxing times.
- 26:07Speaker 1: That's probably the best way to phrase it. It's a
- 26:10Speaker 1: dinky little area. And planes do not have unlimited space.
- 26:16Speaker 1: So in other words, they're picking, any White House is
- 26:21Speaker 1: picking favorites, if you will. They can't take everybody, all right?
- 26:26Speaker 1: Some people get left behind. Well, but we've always been there. Yeah,
- 26:32Speaker 1: how's that worked out? There's nothing worse than, we've always
- 26:37Speaker 1: done it this way, as the argument, to prevent change. So, again,
- 26:44Speaker 1: all of this wailing and moaning and gnashing of teeth, please. Now,
- 26:52Speaker 1: those of you listening, please understand, friends, I didn't just
- 26:56Speaker 1: figure this out. Okay, this is not like I'm saying,
- 27:00Speaker 1: oh my goodness, they've been doing bad things. Yeah, yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 1: If you want honesty and ethics, stay away from government, broadly, sadly,
- 27:11Speaker 1: for the most part. You won't be surprised or disappointed.
- 27:16Speaker 1: But the point with this is, they want you to
- 27:19Speaker 1: forget what they did. They went out of bounds. They
- 27:27Speaker 1: used extrajudicial means, meaning not within the process, to do
- 27:34Speaker 1: the very things that they're calling out now. So, when
- 27:41Speaker 1: they start telling you how upset they are, why are
- 27:45Speaker 1: you upset? You did the same thing. You did it first.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And we're finding out about all of it. So stop
- 27:53Speaker 1: being so sanctimonious. Get off the high horse. Start talking
- 27:59Speaker 1: about issues. Oh, wait a minute. That's why they're making
- 28:04Speaker 1: such a big deal out of this. Because they can't
- 28:09Speaker 1: win if they're talking about issues. They don't want to
- 28:16Speaker 1: go down the inflation road. Because yes, I'm paying more
- 28:22Speaker 1: for gasoline, as are you, in order to make the
- 28:25Speaker 1: world safe so that terrorists don't get a nuclear weapon. Yes,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I'm paying more in the grocery store because of supply
- 28:34Speaker 1: chain issues tied to fuel. Yes, that's an uptick and
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'm not thrilled at all. What I really wasn't thrilled
- 28:42Speaker 1: about was 9% inflation during the Biden era. And by
- 28:47Speaker 1: the way, that's what's crushing us today. The 9% that
- 28:52Speaker 1: never went down. Once the price goes up, it doesn't
- 28:56Speaker 1: go back. So all of, if you start measuring inflation,
- 29:01Speaker 1: and I remember the great economist Steve Moore talked to
- 29:05Speaker 1: me on this very radio program one day and pointed
- 29:10Speaker 1: out that when the Trump administration left in 2021, now
- 29:16Speaker 1: keep in mind, we'd had COVID for almost a year.
- 29:21Speaker 1: So the Trump administration leaves in January of 2021, and
- 29:24Speaker 1: inflation was at 1.6%.
- 29:25Speaker 5: 1.6.
- 29:25Speaker 1: The Fed Reserve target is always 2. This was 1.6.
- 29:28Speaker 1: How high did it get in the Biden administration? 9.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Do the math. The Biden administration high point of inflation
- 29:49Speaker 1: was roughly 6 times higher than when Trump 1.0 ended.
- 29:59Speaker 1: For those prices to go back down, we'd have to
- 30:02Speaker 1: have deflation, and we don't have that. You now have
- 30:06Speaker 1: inflation slowed to roughly 3%. Fluctuates. Not helped by the
- 30:13Speaker 1: gas prices, but again, broader purpose. Make the world safe.
- 30:19Speaker 1: But it's still nothing compared with 9%. That's what's crippling
- 30:24Speaker 1: us still. It's not this current spike. It's that we
- 30:29Speaker 1: have to live with the poor decisions made during the
- 30:33Speaker 1: Biden administration. They don't want to talk about issues, friends,
- 30:36Speaker 1: because somebody like me is going to be a wiseacre
- 30:39Speaker 1: and point that out. They'd rather have you look over here,
- 30:44Speaker 1: look at the shiny object over here. It's kind of
- 30:46Speaker 1: a magician thing. And Obama thinks he's very clever at it,
- 30:51Speaker 1: and it worked so he could win election twice, but Oh,
- 30:55Speaker 1: look what I'm doing over here. I'm talking about this.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Never mind what the facts are. Never mind what I'm doing.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Don't watch the other hand. Let's just call it out
- 31:04Speaker 1: for what it is. So again, what have you done
- 31:08Speaker 1: for me lately? Well, this is what they did. When
- 31:13Speaker 1: they had all the power, this is what they did.
- 31:17Speaker 1: If they get the power again, what do you think
- 31:19Speaker 1: they'll do? What do you think they'll do If they
- 31:25Speaker 1: get the power again, I think this one little sheet
- 31:30Speaker 1: of paper I'm holding with the list, I think that's
- 31:33Speaker 1: just the starting point. In the words of the great
- 31:37Speaker 1: Al Jolson, you ain't seen nothing yet. If the Democrats win,
- 31:43Speaker 1: you can prevent that. You alone can prevent that. 901-260-5926.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Love to hear what you think of these things. We'll
- 31:53Speaker 1: take a short break now And we'll take your calls
- 31:56Speaker 1: as they come in on the other side. Liberty University Studios,
- 31:59Speaker 1: the location, Jeff Stein filling in for Todd. He's in Houston,
- 32:02Speaker 1: thanks to the good folks at Patriot Talk 920, patriottalk920. com.
- 32:07Speaker 1: If you want to learn more about the event tonight,
- 32:09Speaker 1: this is the Todd Starnes Show. Welcome back to the
- 32:19Speaker 1: Liberty University studio and the Todd Starnes Show. Jeff Stein
- 32:23Speaker 1: filling in for Todd today. He's in Houston for the
- 32:26Speaker 1: big 2A event that comes up later today. It is
- 32:30Speaker 1: from 4 until 7, Patriot Talk 920 in Houston. Sponsors
- 32:35Speaker 1: of that. And I went through this whole list of
- 32:41Speaker 1: atrocities today. in the Obama administration. I told you I
- 32:44Speaker 1: had some other material that I want to share with you.
- 32:46Speaker 1: I think we'll do it in hour three, so we
- 32:48Speaker 1: give it enough time. Notice, all of that stuff was
- 32:51Speaker 1: the Obama administration. How about Jack Smith in the Biden administration?
- 32:57Speaker 1: I've got stuff for you on that, and we'll do
- 32:59Speaker 1: that in the third hour of the program. Just after
- 33:02Speaker 1: the top of this hour, Mark Meckler of Convention of
- 33:05Speaker 1: States joins us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. But
- 33:09Speaker 1: before this hour ends, I want to flag an article
- 33:12Speaker 1: that was in the Washington Examiner, published a couple of
- 33:15Speaker 1: days ago. Emily Hollis, the reporter, her byline. Democrat-aligned nonprofit
- 33:22Speaker 1: group backs conservative spoiler candidates in Iowa and other swing states.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I know a lot of you are upset with how
- 33:34Speaker 1: rhinos have acted, how Republicans have not supported Trump. And
- 33:38Speaker 1: I know that there is a great appeal to make
- 33:41Speaker 1: a statement with an independent or a libertarian so that
- 33:45Speaker 1: you can get a message to the Republicans to start
- 33:51Speaker 1: following the president. I get it. But you're going to
- 33:54Speaker 1: elect the Democrat. Is that what you want for the outcome?
- 33:58Speaker 1: There may be some of you say yes. But again,
- 34:01Speaker 1: look what Democrats do when they're in charge. Here's the story.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Principled Patriots PAC. That's the name of the group. Principled
- 34:09Speaker 1: Patriots PAC. It has attracted scrutiny because it's backing third-party
- 34:15Speaker 1: candidates in a series of states with competitive Senate races. Iowa, Texas, Alaska, Kansas, Ohio,
- 34:25Speaker 1: and Michigan. Principled Patriots is also backing multiple third-party candidates
- 34:30Speaker 1: in tight house races nationwide, specifically Colorado and North Carolina. Now,
- 34:36Speaker 1: Principled Patriots has been accused of waging a dark money
- 34:39Speaker 1: influence campaign for Democrats because it garnered a quarter million
- 34:43Speaker 1: dollar donation in September from Building America. Now, that is
- 34:48Speaker 1: a super PAC connected to Rapid Resist Action, which is
- 34:53Speaker 1: a Democrat group. OK, here's the bottom line of it all.
- 34:57Speaker 1: You've got Principled Patriots PAC backing third party candidates in
- 35:03Speaker 1: key states. Principled Patriots PAC appears to be getting a
- 35:08Speaker 1: lot of money from Democrats. In my state of Iowa,
- 35:15Speaker 1: we have an open U.S. Senate seat currently held by
- 35:17Speaker 1: a Republican. It's a very tight race. The Democrat is
- 35:25Speaker 1: sponsored by Chuck Schumer. And the Principled Patriots PAC is
- 35:32Speaker 1: supporting the Libertarian Party. So again, this is in essence
- 35:40Speaker 1: Chuck Schumer supporting two different candidates, the Libertarian and the Democrat.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Dark money into a third-party spoiler campaign. And again, we're
- 35:55Speaker 1: talking about the Senate races in Iowa, Texas, Alaska, Kansas, Ohio,
- 36:02Speaker 1: and Michigan. Oh, all right. I'm railing about something. And
- 36:09Speaker 1: Todd Starnes is on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Mr.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Starnes, happy Tuesday to you, good sir.
- 36:16Speaker 6: Jeff, hello from Houston, Texas. And just landed and getting
- 36:21Speaker 6: ready for some big political events down here. As you know,
- 36:26Speaker 6: we're not only on a book tour, but we're trying
- 36:28Speaker 6: to get Ken Paxton and a lot of other great
- 36:31Speaker 6: Republicans elected to office down here.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Well, we were just talking about Principled Patriots PAC, which
- 36:36Speaker 1: is really a Democrat front that is supporting third-party candidates
- 36:40Speaker 1: in places like Texas. That's that spoiler effect, and it
- 36:44Speaker 1: means that folks need to pay close attention to who's
- 36:47Speaker 1: putting messages out.
- 36:49Speaker 6: Well, I think that's a good point, which is why
- 36:52Speaker 6: we really hope our Houston area listeners come out this afternoon.
- 36:56Speaker 6: We're going to have a great time at Collectors Firearms.
- 37:00Speaker 6: We're going to have a lot of politicians there. Also,
- 37:03Speaker 6: the NRA, Gun Owners of America. We're just going to
- 37:06Speaker 6: have kind of a hootenanny, as they call it back home.
- 37:10Speaker 6: But we certainly hope to see all of our great
- 37:12Speaker 6: listeners out this afternoon.
- 37:14Speaker 1: PatriotTalk920. com, their events page tells you where to go. Collectors
- 37:18Speaker 1: Firearms on Westheimer Road in Houston, 4 until 7. As
- 37:21Speaker 1: I like to say, free food, free drink, and free radio.
- 37:24Speaker 1: You're doing a broadcast on the Patriot Talk station.
- 37:28Speaker 6: We're doing an exclusive broadcast just for our friends here
- 37:31Speaker 6: in Houston. It's going to be a lot of fun,
- 37:33Speaker 6: and they're really looking forward to that. And, Jeff, you're
- 37:36Speaker 6: doing a great job, and I appreciate you filling in
- 37:38Speaker 6: for me while I'm out here on the road.
- 37:40Speaker 1: You're having the best time. Who has a better life
- 37:43Speaker 1: than Todd Starnes? Nobody. Mr. Starnes, thank you so much.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Glad you're there safely. 4 until 7 in Houston, PatriotTalk920. com,
- 37:51Speaker 1: the website. Go to their events tab for more information.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Jeff Stein filling in for Todd. Always good to hear
- 37:57Speaker 1: from him. We'll have more after this short break on
- 38:00Speaker 1: the Todd Starnes Show.
- 38:18Speaker 3: From Memphis, Tennessee, it's Common Sense Conservative Commentary from Todd Starr.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Hello, fellow patriots. Jeff Stein filling in for Todd from
- 38:38Speaker 1: the Liberty University studio today in my home base, News
- 38:42Speaker 1: Talk 1540 KXEL in the heartland of America, the free
- 38:46Speaker 1: state of Iowa. Todd is in Texas. If you heard
- 38:49Speaker 1: the last hour, you just heard him call in from
- 38:52Speaker 1: the airport. He's landed. He's ready for the 2A Tuesday
- 38:56Speaker 1: event at Collectors Firearms on Westheimer Road in Houston, sponsored
- 39:01Speaker 1: by Patriot Talk 920. There's free food, free drinks. Somebody's
- 39:05Speaker 1: walking away with a free firearm, and you can buy
- 39:07Speaker 1: a copy of The Golden Age. Todd Starnes at Patriot
- 39:11Speaker 1: Talk 920's 2A Tuesday in Houston, PatriotTalk920. com is the website.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Go to the Events tab and get all of the details.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Todd being away allows me to talk to you, Starnes Nation,
- 39:24Speaker 1: today and again tomorrow. And I want to begin this
- 39:27Speaker 1: hour of the program, Hour 2, by going now to...
- 39:30Speaker 1: to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. And it is always
- 39:33Speaker 1: a privilege to welcome Mark Meckler. Mr. Meckler is president
- 39:37Speaker 1: and co-founder of Convention of States Action. They're online at conventionofstates.com. Mr. Meckler,
- 39:44Speaker 1: thanks so much for taking the time. How are you, sir?
- 39:47Speaker 3: I'm doing great. I've got to tell you, here in Texas,
- 39:49Speaker 3: it's always 2A Tuesday.
- 39:52Speaker 1: And 2A Wednesday and Thursday. Well, I'll tell you, I
- 39:58Speaker 1: think about you and I think about Texas and I
- 40:01Speaker 1: look at my home state of Iowa and there are
- 40:03Speaker 1: a lot of folks nationally who would want you to
- 40:06Speaker 1: believe that the blue wave is a-coming. I'm not sure.
- 40:10Speaker 1: I think that's wishful thinking or an attempt to try
- 40:13Speaker 1: to make Republicans sit home on November 3rd. What are
- 40:18Speaker 1: your thoughts?
- 40:19Speaker 3: Look, I think if there's a single word for polling
- 40:22Speaker 3: in this era of America, it's garbage. It's just wrong.
- 40:26Speaker 3: We know it's wrong. History tells us it's wrong. They've
- 40:29Speaker 3: been wrong on Trump every single time in the last midterms.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Every swing state ended up between five and nine points
- 40:38Speaker 3: off in favor of the Democrats. That's enough to swing
- 40:40Speaker 3: every single race in favor of Republicans. And there's a
- 40:44Speaker 3: lot more, but that's enough to tell you these polls
- 40:46Speaker 3: are wrong, and they're intentionally wrong. I agree with that.
- 40:49Speaker 1: And if you look at these polls, and I don't
- 40:51Speaker 1: want to get bogged down in garbage stuff like this,
- 40:54Speaker 1: but in the fine print it tells you the margin
- 40:57Speaker 1: of error, and typically the margin of error is three
- 40:59Speaker 1: or four points. Well, when you've got a result that
- 41:02Speaker 1: is close... Yeah, they're literally, when you've got a race
- 41:05Speaker 1: in the margin of error, what the pollsters are actually saying,
- 41:08Speaker 1: this should be the headline, pollsters have no idea what's
- 41:12Speaker 1: going to happen.
- 41:13Speaker 3: It's up to you.
- 41:24Speaker 1: You could use that in a lot of contexts. Pollsters
- 41:26Speaker 1: have no idea. But when I had the opportunity, when
- 41:30Speaker 1: I got the text last night saying, could you fill
- 41:32Speaker 1: in for Todd, I thought of you because I had
- 41:34Speaker 1: just seen some of these great posts that you've put
- 41:37Speaker 1: on the Twitter X machine, at Mark Meckler, about the
- 41:40Speaker 1: stuff going on in Europe. And I think, personal view is,
- 41:44Speaker 1: for too long we've said, well, that's over there. That'll
- 41:46Speaker 1: never come here. Well, first of all, it already has.
- 41:48Speaker 1: But second of all, I mean, this stuff is, is
- 41:53Speaker 1: game-changing in terms of hopefully waking up Americans, is it not?
- 41:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it can be game-changing in this election alone, but
- 42:01Speaker 3: I hope it's game-changing on a broader scale. These countries
- 42:05Speaker 3: have wholesale imported the third world, and specifically the radical
- 42:10Speaker 3: Muslim third world into their country. And the people that
- 42:13Speaker 3: import it have nothing to do with their country, their culture.
- 42:16Speaker 3: In fact, they're the antithesis of those things. They hate
- 42:19Speaker 3: those things, and their goal is to tear down and
- 42:22Speaker 3: overrun those cultures, and we're watching it live on TV.
- 42:25Speaker 3: They're doing it. I have to say, I mean, I
- 42:27Speaker 3: really do feel sorry for all those students who are
- 42:29Speaker 3: short on crayons that are riding in the streets and
- 42:31Speaker 3: stealing Cartier watches and the like.
- 42:35Speaker 1: Yeah, this is just student protesting, right? I mean, it's
- 42:38Speaker 1: not organized. It's all organic, except do you see any...
- 42:44Speaker 1: students in any of these events, these protests and all this.
- 42:47Speaker 1: This is highly organized from people from the outside that
- 42:52Speaker 1: have infiltrated at the invitation of these host governments.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Yeah, people here in America should understand what's going on.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Fox did a great report last night. They showed that
- 43:01Speaker 3: there are officially 54 groups, quote-unquote, leading this protest of
- 43:07Speaker 3: the 54 18 or allegedly student groups. That doesn't mean
- 43:10Speaker 3: they don't have international contacts or funding or influence. But
- 43:13Speaker 3: of the 54, 36 of them are actually the adults
- 43:16Speaker 3: in the room. And this is an international movement. If
- 43:20Speaker 3: you really want to know what's going on and you
- 43:21Speaker 3: want to dive deep, one of my favorite follows on
- 43:24Speaker 3: X is Data Republican. She's got all the receipts on this.
- 43:28Speaker 3: She's done the deep dive on the data. This is
- 43:30Speaker 3: an international movement intended to destroy the Western world.
- 43:36Speaker 1: And because we have looked the other way to some
- 43:40Speaker 1: degree or been too naive, or, in the case of
- 43:44Speaker 1: some on the far left, encouraging it, we've invited them
- 43:48Speaker 1: in here, Mark Meckler, no different than the French did,
- 43:52Speaker 1: and the folks here are just, I assume, waiting for
- 43:54Speaker 1: their orders or the right time to do the same
- 43:56Speaker 1: darn thing. Yeah, I agree.
- 43:59Speaker 3: And so what you see is a combination that the
- 44:01Speaker 3: two main leading factions here, what I would call the
- 44:03Speaker 3: Islamo and the Communists, so it's an Islamo-Communist movement. This
- 44:08Speaker 3: is a takeover that's been done in other countries. If
- 44:11Speaker 3: you want to see how this plays out, The best
- 44:13Speaker 3: place to look, if you want to see what it
- 44:14Speaker 3: looks like, is look at what happened in Iran. In Iran,
- 44:18Speaker 3: you had a combination of the Islamists and the Marxists.
- 44:21Speaker 3: They got together, they threw out the Shah, they took
- 44:24Speaker 3: over the country, and then immediately the Islamists killed the
- 44:26Speaker 3: Marxists and imposed Sharia law. And that's the model for
- 44:30Speaker 3: this all over the world.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Mark Meckler is our guest. Mr. Meckler is president and
- 44:35Speaker 1: co-founder of Convention of States Action. They're online, conventionofstates.com. These days,
- 44:40Speaker 1: he's also CEO of Just the Network That's tied to
- 44:43Speaker 1: John Solomon and Just the News. Mr. Meckler joins us
- 44:46Speaker 1: on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line on the Todd Starn Show.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Jeff Stein filling in for Todd today. You've now got
- 44:52Speaker 1: the French leadership, quote unquote, saying, yeah, maybe we should
- 44:57Speaker 1: step aside. We really missed the boat on this. Sorry.
- 45:00Speaker 1: I mean, they're a little late to the party. Is
- 45:04Speaker 1: there a way that they can stem the tide, some
- 45:07Speaker 1: of these European nations? And is there a way we
- 45:10Speaker 1: can stem the tide here?
- 45:13Speaker 3: Well, look, I mean, at this point, very difficult for
- 45:15Speaker 3: them to stem the tide. I think it would require
- 45:19Speaker 3: major state-sponsored violence. And I don't mean to sound blunt
- 45:23Speaker 3: or graphic to people, but it will require the killing
- 45:26Speaker 3: of people in the streets. And I know that sounds hardcore,
- 45:29Speaker 3: and I intend to say it exactly like it sounds,
- 45:32Speaker 3: but I believe that looting should be... They should be
- 45:35Speaker 3: able to shoot looters on sight. There's no other way
- 45:38Speaker 3: to stop that because... People have to understand when you
- 45:40Speaker 3: live in a society governed by the rule of law,
- 45:43Speaker 3: that requires mostly voluntary compliance. And what I mean by
- 45:47Speaker 3: that is people are not opportunists. They don't just go
- 45:49Speaker 3: break the law because they think they won't get caught.
- 45:51Speaker 3: They choose not to break the law. And the way
- 45:54Speaker 3: that you create that situation in a society that's become
- 45:56Speaker 3: lawless is you just make it a capital offense to
- 46:00Speaker 3: be looting. And so if you're out there and you're looting,
- 46:03Speaker 3: I don't think the police officer should have to ask
- 46:04Speaker 3: you any questions. And I actually think we want to
- 46:07Speaker 3: stop this in the United States of America, especially in
- 46:09Speaker 3: red states. We'll never get this in blue states. But
- 46:12Speaker 3: we have to make it legal, and we have to
- 46:13Speaker 3: make it policy in our states that looters get shot.
- 46:18Speaker 1: If you think about, and I'm thinking particularly about American
- 46:21Speaker 1: business owners, Mr. Meckler, and I'm thinking about some of
- 46:24Speaker 1: these supposedly peaceful protests post-George Floyd back in 2020, these
- 46:30Speaker 1: were folks who were, they put all of their money
- 46:34Speaker 1: into their businesses. And in just a few moments, everything
- 46:40Speaker 1: they had worked for to serve their local community was
- 46:43Speaker 1: taken from them, looted, burned, etc., for no cause other
- 46:49Speaker 1: than these out-of-town agitators trying to make a point. I
- 46:52Speaker 1: feel for those folks, and if law enforcement is not
- 46:55Speaker 1: there to back them up, the business owners, how do
- 46:57Speaker 1: you possibly expect businesses to flourish in especially in high
- 47:01Speaker 1: crime areas that have been proven to be difficult to
- 47:05Speaker 1: pencil out from a balance sheet standpoint to begin with.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think you can. I don't think most
- 47:10Speaker 3: people understand if they've never been a small business owner,
- 47:13Speaker 3: the margins are tight. You don't make a lot of money.
- 47:15Speaker 3: You put everything into it, heart and soul and all
- 47:18Speaker 3: your bank accounts, and you work late at night and
- 47:20Speaker 3: early in the morning. And then that goes up in
- 47:22Speaker 3: flames or it goes off in the hands of looters.
- 47:25Speaker 3: You lose everything and you don't just lose the business.
- 47:28Speaker 3: You don't just lose the money. You lose the heart
- 47:31Speaker 3: to do it again. You only have to go to Minneapolis.
- 47:34Speaker 3: I was there not too long ago. Drive through the
- 47:36Speaker 3: areas where the worst George Floyd riots, where they're still
- 47:38Speaker 3: boarded up stores. There's businesses that went away. By the way,
- 47:42Speaker 3: most of them minority-owned businesses that went away and never
- 47:45Speaker 3: came back. And so I think we need to take
- 47:48Speaker 3: that very seriously, and we need to be ready to
- 47:51Speaker 3: stand against it very strongly. You'll note, by the way,
- 47:53Speaker 3: that none of that took place in Texas. And I
- 47:57Speaker 3: don't mean that to brag on Texas. I just mean...
- 48:00Speaker 3: We are heavily armed people here in Texas, and most
- 48:03Speaker 3: people in Texas, despite the liberal leanings of Austin and
- 48:07Speaker 3: places like that, most people would simply not tolerate that
- 48:10Speaker 3: kind of behavior.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Well, and to make a broader point even stronger, you've
- 48:16Speaker 1: got somebody who's clearly disturbed who goes and shoots up
- 48:19Speaker 1: an elementary school in Oregon and is only stopped from
- 48:22Speaker 1: doing so by what? A parent who had a gun.
- 48:26Speaker 1: A good guy with a gun stopped a bad guy
- 48:29Speaker 1: with a gun. Seems to me guns are not the problem.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Yeah, by the way, important to note that that good
- 48:35Speaker 3: guy with a gun, according to law in Oregon right now,
- 48:39Speaker 3: is a criminal. Because that school district and that jurisdiction
- 48:44Speaker 3: banned guns on campuses. And there's no exception, by the way,
- 48:48Speaker 3: if there's a shooting going on on campus. It doesn't
- 48:50Speaker 3: allow you to bring your gun onto campus. Not allowed
- 48:52Speaker 3: to do what he did. I hope and pray they
- 48:54Speaker 3: won't prosecute him. I can tell you in a place
- 48:57Speaker 3: like California, they probably would.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Mark Meckler is our guest, president, co-founder, Convention of States Action, conventionofstates.com.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I jumped right into the conversation without allowing you to
- 49:09Speaker 1: remind people. COS Action, who are you folks and what
- 49:12Speaker 1: do you do?
- 49:14Speaker 3: We're using Article 5 of the U.S. Constitution to call
- 49:16Speaker 3: a convention of states to propose amendments to restrain federal adherence.
- 49:20Speaker 3: And you do that by getting 34 states to want
- 49:23Speaker 3: to call that convention. They pass resolutions in the states
- 49:26Speaker 3: saying they want it. They gather. And the goal is
- 49:28Speaker 3: to propose amendments to restrain federal tyranny. If you're watching
- 49:32Speaker 3: this election right now and you don't think that the
- 49:35Speaker 3: federal government's out of control, I don't know what to
- 49:38Speaker 3: tell you. If you don't think The idea of the
- 49:40Speaker 3: DSA taking over Congress is bad. I don't know what
- 49:43Speaker 3: to tell you. And by the way, whatever happens in
- 49:46Speaker 3: this election, and I hope and pray and I'm working
- 49:48Speaker 3: for the Republicans to retain power, if we lose the House,
- 49:52Speaker 3: if we lose the Senate, if we lose both, I mean, honestly,
- 49:56Speaker 3: all bets are off. I don't know what they're going
- 49:57Speaker 3: to do. They will impeach President Trump. They won't convict him,
- 50:00Speaker 3: but they will impeach him. They'll impede any Supreme Court nomination.
- 50:04Speaker 3: We the people have to take the power back. The
- 50:06Speaker 3: only way to do that is to impose term limits,
- 50:09Speaker 3: impose a balanced budget amendment, take power away from D.C.
- 50:12Speaker 3: You can only do that by calling a convention of states.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Folks who are interested can go to conventionofstates.com.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Mark Meckler, it's always a great conversation. I appreciate your time.
- 50:22Speaker 1: Keep up the great efforts. I don't have to tell
- 50:24Speaker 1: you that. You're going to do it. It's in your blood.
- 50:27Speaker 3: Absolutely. Hey, thanks for filling in and talking about Texas today.
- 50:31Speaker 3: We always like talking about Texas, too.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Well, it's a pretty good place to be. Thank you, sir.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Take good care. God bless. Mark Meckler is with Convention
- 50:40Speaker 1: of States Action. He is president and co-founder, conventionofstates.com. And
- 50:45Speaker 1: he joined us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. Follow
- 50:49Speaker 1: him on the Twitter X machine at Mark Meckler. You
- 50:51Speaker 1: can follow me there at Iowa Politics. 901-260-5926. That's how
- 50:57Speaker 1: you can join this coast-to-coast conversation from the Liberty University studio.
- 51:01Speaker 1: Jeff Stein in for Todd. More after this on the
- 51:03Speaker 1: Todd Starnes Show. Welcome back to the Liberty University studio
- 51:15Speaker 1: and the Todd Starnes Show. Jeff Stein filling in for
- 51:18Speaker 1: Todd today. 901-260-5926. That's how you can join this Coast
- 51:25Speaker 1: to Coast conversation. Just after the bottom of the hour,
- 51:27Speaker 1: the chief political strategist of this radio program, Josh Jones,
- 51:32Speaker 1: will be along to talk about the news of the day. Again,
- 51:35Speaker 1: we'll take your calls in and around at 901-260-5926. Now,
- 51:40Speaker 1: during this last conversation we had in the last segment
- 51:43Speaker 1: with Mark Meckler, who's so sharp on so many aspects
- 51:46Speaker 1: of these things, we were talking about polling in the
- 51:49Speaker 1: margin of error. And I'm sure you've heard about, and
- 51:53Speaker 1: I think it's been mentioned on the program. So the
- 51:56Speaker 1: person on CNN who waves his arms and hits touchscreens
- 52:00Speaker 1: and talks about polls, I don't know him by name.
- 52:03Speaker 1: You probably do. But in any case, the left absolutely
- 52:09Speaker 1: had a panic attack when he pointed out quite accurately
- 52:15Speaker 1: that if there is an under-reporting of Republicans by only 3%,
- 52:20Speaker 1: all right, let me take a step back, in polling,
- 52:26Speaker 1: as Mark Meckler mentioned, the polls tend to under-report Republican support.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Often that's because of, perhaps it's a deliberate approach, Perhaps
- 52:38Speaker 1: Republicans don't want to talk to a pollster. Perhaps Republicans
- 52:42Speaker 1: mess around with pollsters. Could be any of those things.
- 52:44Speaker 1: But the bottom line is, in these recent elections, you
- 52:48Speaker 1: see that the polling in advance under-reports Republican support by
- 52:56Speaker 1: about 5%. All right, well, this piece on CNN not
- 52:59Speaker 1: long ago said, if you assume that the under-reporting is
- 53:04Speaker 1: even 3%, Just 3%. That's enough in all of the
- 53:11Speaker 1: key districts to guarantee a Republican majority, albeit small, in
- 53:16Speaker 1: both the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate. So for
- 53:20Speaker 1: all this talk about blue wave, a blue tsunami, the
- 53:24Speaker 1: red states are turning blue, all of this. Okay, first
- 53:27Speaker 1: of all, these are people with an agenda, so why
- 53:30Speaker 1: are you listening to them? I mean, you can listen
- 53:32Speaker 1: to them, but don't take it to heart. But the
- 53:34Speaker 1: bottom line is, it is too close. And why are
- 53:37Speaker 1: they saying it's going to be a blue wave? So
- 53:39Speaker 1: that maybe you say, it's not worth voting, I'm depressed.
- 53:44Speaker 1: The bottom line is, if you actually use their numbers,
- 53:49Speaker 1: use the polling done by those who have a blue agenda,
- 53:55Speaker 1: and if you conservatively look at a 3% under report
- 54:00Speaker 1: as opposed to 5%, The Republicans hold the House and
- 54:05Speaker 1: the Senate. So all of this, in addition to what Mr.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Meckler said, all of this means you just have to
- 54:13Speaker 1: show up and bring a friend or five. This is
- 54:16Speaker 1: not one of these where it is going to be
- 54:20Speaker 1: decided in advance, except by people who have a narrative
- 54:23Speaker 1: and are trying to make sure that their dream becomes
- 54:27Speaker 1: reality by steering you wrong. Okay, so the bottom line is,
- 54:33Speaker 1: Anybody who tells you how this is going to turn
- 54:36Speaker 1: out is either delusional, frankly, wrong, or lying to you
- 54:43Speaker 1: for their own purposes. Nobody knows how this is going
- 54:46Speaker 1: to turn out. Heaven forbid we may actually have to
- 54:49Speaker 1: wait and hear the votes be counted on election night.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Wouldn't that be a radical change? But the bottom line is,
- 54:58Speaker 1: for all of those who say, ah, it's lost, it's lost.
- 55:02Speaker 1: And I keep seeing people, you know, unnamed Republicans are worried.
- 55:07Speaker 1: Just show up. Just show up and vote your heart,
- 55:10Speaker 1: your mind, and your conscience. Because even the numbers from
- 55:14Speaker 1: those on the left suggest, in a fair fight, the
- 55:20Speaker 1: Republicans will hold. And in a midterm election, that is
- 55:24Speaker 1: no small undertaking. and in an election where, frankly, the
- 55:28Speaker 1: Senate has done everything to undermine this president, and I
- 55:31Speaker 1: don't mean to go off on an anti-John Thune rant,
- 55:34Speaker 1: but okay, I got a minute, why not? Why didn't
- 55:37Speaker 1: he call a recess so that President Trump could get
- 55:40Speaker 1: recess appointments through? I mean, either get the people approved.
- 55:46Speaker 1: Or do the same thing you yourself and other leaders,
- 55:52Speaker 1: Republican and Democrat, have done in the past, and that's
- 55:54Speaker 1: call a recess when you leave town for six weeks,
- 55:57Speaker 1: because that then allows the appointments to take place. Why
- 56:01Speaker 1: is John Thune blocking the most elemental part of the
- 56:05Speaker 1: president's agenda? Appointments. Never mind all the rest of the
- 56:10Speaker 1: stuff that they're not doing. This is just like 2018
- 56:13Speaker 1: where the House did an awful lot of things, the
- 56:16Speaker 1: Senate did nothing, and voters said a pox on all
- 56:18Speaker 1: your houses. Well, don't let that happen. The numbers suggest
- 56:24Speaker 1: it'll be okay if you just show up and bring
- 56:27Speaker 1: a friend or five. Josh Jones joins us after this
- 56:30Speaker 1: break from the Liberty University studio. Jeff Stein in for Todd.
- 56:33Speaker 1: This is the Todd Starnes Show. Welcome back to the
- 56:49Speaker 1: Liberty University studio and the Todd Starnes Show. Jeff Stein
- 56:53Speaker 1: filling in for Todd today. Mr. Starnes is on the
- 56:56Speaker 1: ground in Houston for this 2A Tuesday happy hour and
- 57:00Speaker 1: mixer event sponsored by the great Houston affiliate Patriot Talk
- 57:04Speaker 1: 920 AM. The event is from 4 until 7 at
- 57:09Speaker 1: Collectors Firearms on Westheimer Road in Houston. Go to the
- 57:12Speaker 1: events tab of patriotalk920. com for more information. Free food, free drink,
- 57:17Speaker 1: free radio, and one lucky attendee will win a Walder 9mm.
- 57:22Speaker 1: And you can buy a copy of The Golden Age.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Get it signed, get a picture. Todd Starnes will be
- 57:28Speaker 1: there in Houston for 2A Tuesday at Collectors Firearms. Let's
- 57:33Speaker 1: go now to the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line, and let's
- 57:36Speaker 1: talk strategy with the official chief political strategist of this program.
- 57:41Speaker 1: He's Josh Jones. Mr. Jones, Jeff Stein in for Todd.
- 57:44Speaker 1: That title must bring a hefty paycheck, doesn't it?
- 57:49Speaker 3: Hi, Jeff.
- 57:50Speaker 1: How are you?
- 57:50Speaker 7: I appreciate it.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I'm doing well. What's the biggest... I have to assume
- 57:56Speaker 1: that someone in your line of work looks at all
- 57:58Speaker 1: the silly season stuff and just shakes his head. What
- 58:01Speaker 1: is the thing that today... you're looking at as being
- 58:06Speaker 1: the most hypocritical or the craziest thing that somebody's trying
- 58:12Speaker 1: to peddle right now?
- 58:13Speaker 7: I mean, look, it's what some of these Democratic candidates
- 58:17Speaker 7: and these wing states are trying to paint themselves as.
- 58:19Speaker 7: I mean, if you look at Michigan, for example, if
- 58:21Speaker 7: I'm too well fed, you know, he is this self-described socialist.
- 58:26Speaker 7: He won't call himself one, but I mean, if you
- 58:28Speaker 7: read his policies, he's a socialist, supported by AOC, Bernie Sanders,
- 58:32Speaker 7: and all these other people that are on the far
- 58:34Speaker 7: left of the Democratic Party. And then he's, you know,
- 58:38Speaker 7: if you watch his TV ads or go to any event,
- 58:40Speaker 7: you would think he's the most moderate guy in the world.
- 58:43Speaker 7: So I think, I mean, it's typical of the Democratic
- 58:45Speaker 7: candidates to do this, to try and, you know, win
- 58:47Speaker 7: over those moderate swing voters as they get closer to
- 58:50Speaker 7: the election.
- 58:51Speaker 4: But I mean, that's what people.
- 58:52Speaker 7: hopefully are tuning into, particularly in some of these swing states.
- 58:57Speaker 1: In the last half hour, we spoke with Mark Meckler
- 58:59Speaker 1: at Convention of States, and we were talking about the
- 59:03Speaker 1: unrest overseas, where these governments invited folks in, in essence,
- 59:08Speaker 1: to lead an insurrection. We done the same thing here.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Michigan is ground zero for that. We can't be very
- 59:13Speaker 1: surprised when we've laid the foundation to lead candidates like
- 59:19Speaker 1: this to win a major party nomination.
- 59:22Speaker 6: You're right.
- 59:22Speaker 7: I mean, look, about getting too into the weeds on
- 59:25Speaker 7: the policy side of it all, you know, as it
- 59:27Speaker 7: relates to immigration. I think Western Europe is a great
- 59:30Speaker 7: example of how, you know, the Democrats get what they want,
- 59:34Speaker 7: that's the path we're going down. So I think that,
- 59:38Speaker 7: you know, regardless if you're a Republican and you're not
- 59:40Speaker 7: super enthusiastic about going out to vote this November, keep
- 59:43Speaker 7: in mind, going back just a couple of years ago
- 59:46Speaker 7: when Biden was president, or if you look at Western
- 59:48Speaker 7: Europe right now, some of these far-left leaders, things could
- 59:52Speaker 7: be a lot worse. So if you're not enthusiastic, remember
- 59:56Speaker 7: at the end of the day, these Democrats truly do
- 59:58Speaker 7: want to fundamentally rewrite the American Constitution and how our
- 1:00:02Speaker 7: government works.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: That's one of the tricky things, is it not, for
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: a political strategist to get a voting public excited, mobilized,
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: when they may be a little lukewarm about the choice
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: on their side, I mean, you hate to go to
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: the fear approach, but it's pretty evident. I mean, this
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: is better than any October surprise for domestic politics, is
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: it not, to be able to say, you see that?
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: That's what's coming here if you don't get off your
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: tail and vote.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:00:34Speaker 7: And look, Me and Todd talk about this all the time.
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: The time for Republicans to air our grievances against each
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: other is during the primary. Get out all your knives,
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: get out all your complaints, and support whoever.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: You want in the primary.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: But whenever that Republican nominee is selected, you have to
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: rally around them. Whether you love them or you're indifferent
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: towards them, you have to get out and vote for
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: them in November and get fought. Next election cycle, you
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: don't like that Republican? Great. You can fight them in
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: the primary and elect somebody else. But right now, there's
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: too much on the line to let these democratic socialists
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: take over our country and get a foothold in Congress.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Josh Jones is our guest on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: line on the Todd Starnes Show. I mentioned at the
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: end of the last hour this thing called Principal Patriots
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: PAC that by name seems pretty neutral, but it's supporting
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: third-party libertarian independent candidates in these very close-swing states. But
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: the money's coming from the left side of the political ledger.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: You've just got to be really careful when the third party,
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: and I mean we've got libertarians in my state of
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: Iowa who are running. They're nice people. They're fine individuals.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: But now some of the money is coming from anti-Republican causes.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: That requires the voter to be paying very close attention
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: to messaging.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: I mean, there's a lot of dark money in politics.
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: We all say it all the time. And it's a
- 1:01:57Speaker 7: typical Democrat playbook. Not only are they going to try
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: and run towards the middle and play as this moderate candidate,
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: but they're also going to try and mislead voters in
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: the voting. You know, for those Republicans that they don't
- 1:02:08Speaker 7: think they could win over, they'll try and push them
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: to vote for another Republican or another conservative candidate to
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: split the vote. And that's that George Soros dark money
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: that's coming out of California and New York, trying to
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: mislead voters.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: Well, and once again, and I've said it for years,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: that in a primary, You run to the left if
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: you're a Democrat, you run to the right if you're
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: a Republican, and then you sprint to the middle for
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: the general election. But the difference to me, Josh Jones,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: is that these days, the extreme on the left bears
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: no resemblance to what the extreme on the left used
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: to be. And so it's not like you look at
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: two candidates, Democrat and Republican, and say, well, they're pretty close.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: I mean, they've never been further apart with ramifications or
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: implications for the the survival of our representative democracy.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: I mean, the Democratic Socialists of America, in their own platform,
- 1:03:03Speaker 7: their own words, they want to abolish the presidency, they
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: want to abolish the Senate, and abolish the Supreme Court.
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: I mean, these people fundamentally hate our country and what
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: it stands for, and they're going to rewrite the playbook
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: if they win. So my message to Republican voters as
- 1:03:19Speaker 7: we close down these last two weeks on Saturday 4th Look,
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: you may not be the most enthusiastic person about going
- 1:03:26Speaker 7: out to vote this November, but the stakes are too
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: high to stay home. And we'll go from there. The
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: stakes are just too high.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: Two weeks from today, Election Day and early voting started
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: all over the place. And that's what makes this sort
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: of different than it was generations ago, because there's not
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: this last weekend push, per se. You've got to have
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: a three- and four-week run-up. But this is an interesting
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: needle to thread for some candidates, I think, where you
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: need the Trump voters who may not be rank-and-file Republicans.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: They're Trumpicans, and that's not a derogatory phrase. They're there
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: for him. That's why he's on the trail over and over.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: But you need the other Republicans, for lack of a
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: better term, But anymore, you need a healthy portion of independence.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: And so, again, from a messaging standpoint, that's tricky for
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: some candidates, is it not? You're right.
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: I mean, the Republican Party and the conservative side of
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: the aisle in our country is a big tent. There's
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: a lot of different factions of the party that have
- 1:04:34Speaker 7: a lot of different opinions about varying things. And it is,
- 1:04:38Speaker 7: you know, a little bit of a tightrope act to
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: balance enough to, you know, appeal to most of those
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: factions to get them to come out to vote for you.
- 1:04:46Speaker 7: That's why I always say to people, look, in the
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: boiled-down essence of a quote from Reagan, if someone you
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: agree with 80% of the time is still your ally.
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: You may not agree with that one Republican 100% of
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: the time, but you're going to agree with them a
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: lot more than you are the Democrats. So someone that's
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: on your side 80% of the time is still your
- 1:05:07Speaker 7: ally versus a Democrat who's on your side maybe.
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: 5% of the time.
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Well, and it's very easy to see because when they
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: tell you who you are, who they are, you have
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to believe them. And so you've got these people who
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: espouse these views. We know what that side's going to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: do if they get elected. And it is not good
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: for the Trump agenda at one level. It's not good
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: for the future of America at another. Is this starting
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: to resonate as you talk to people around the country?
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: In other words, the folks who are not real excited
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: about certain candidates, are they starting to figure out, okay,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: I need to come home, I need to come home
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: hard and fast and bring friends with me?
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: I think so. I mean, it's typical, you know, leading
- 1:05:49Speaker 7: up to the last couple weeks of an election, people
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: start coming back in and heading back to their home
- 1:05:54Speaker 7: camps and going, wait a second, because this is not
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: your grandpa's Democratic Party anymore. This is the new Socialist
- 1:06:00Speaker 7: Party of America calling themselves the Democratic Party. And if
- 1:06:04Speaker 7: they get a big win this November, they're going to
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: get a foothold in Congress. Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrat
- 1:06:10Speaker 7: leaders are just going to bend to the far left
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: of their party. And our country is going to be
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: much worse off for it.
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: So I think.
- 1:06:15Speaker 7: People are tuning back in. I don't think the polls
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: are discounting Republicans, but don't be discouraged. Go out and vote.
- 1:06:21Speaker 7: It's going to be close. These are going to be
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: toss-up elections. So every vote matters here.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I found interesting– James Carville, I believe, was on a
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: podcast or something with Bill Kristol and made the comment,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: he would rather have the Republicans win the House by
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: a few seats as opposed to the Democrats winning the
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: House by a few seats. Because if the Democrats won,
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: then Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker would be stymied by the Socialists.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I find that that's interesting where he's basically saying, I'd
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: rather have the Republicans win because good luck trying to keep,
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: you know, herd all of those cats. as opposed to
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the Democrats, where, again, they'll be held hostage, similar to
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: some of the problems Mike Johnson has had.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: I mean, you're right. If these Democrat socialists win, they're racist,
- 1:07:10Speaker 7: which a lot of them are running in deep blue seats,
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: so they will, and then get a majority in the
- 1:07:14Speaker 7: House of Representatives, Huck and Jeffries is not going to
- 1:07:17Speaker 7: be able to stand up to the left wing of
- 1:07:19Speaker 7: his party, and they're going to keep marching down this
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: socialist path, and it's going to turn our country even
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: into a more of a partisan divide than we're currently in.
- 1:07:28Speaker 7: So me and Carville don't agree on a lot, but
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: we agree on this one. I'd much rather Republicans win
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: the House than the Democrats.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Well, and again, to make your earlier point, you hear
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: people who say, well, you know what, maybe we should lose.
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: That'll show them. The stakes are higher now than in
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: the past when it was a much more polite sort
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: of thing. you know, Republicans, Democrats, there were differences, but
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: it wasn't like what we hear now. I don't think
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: you can go with the old philosophy of, well, you know,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: maybe it'll teach us a lesson if we lose an election.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: If you lose the election, you may never have another chance.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: You're right.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: I mean, this is, again, I've said it a bunch,
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: and I'll keep saying it up until the election, and
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: it's not just because I'm a partisan on one.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: Side of the aisle.
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: It's the genuine truth. If the Democrats win this November election,
- 1:08:17Speaker 7: they're going to fundamentally rewrite how politics works in this country,
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: and it's going to be a green light for socialists
- 1:08:23Speaker 7: all over the world, frankly, but obviously here in America.
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: They continue running to the left, and more and more
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: young people are going to be fooled into going under.
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: That side of the aisle.
- 1:08:31Speaker 7: So Republicans have to get out and vote this November.
- 1:08:34Speaker 7: Call your friends if they're Republicans. Call your friends and
- 1:08:37Speaker 7: get them to come vote this November, and so we
- 1:08:40Speaker 7: can keep our Republican majorities in Congress.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: All right, exit question for Josh Jones. All right, so what.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: Are you watching that we all need to pay attention
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: to to see how things go? It's not a national election,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: although I think those on the left would love it
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: to be because then they can. be superficial on things.
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: But is there something you're watching or looking to see
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: how voters respond to personal appearances, et cetera, something we
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: should be watching in this next week?
- 1:09:12Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, there's a couple of different things. Number one,
- 1:09:15Speaker 7: you want to watch where the president's going. To your point,
- 1:09:18Speaker 7: there's a lot of Trump Republicans who are truly part
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: of the party for him, and he's out on the
- 1:09:23Speaker 7: campaign trail, obviously. So you want to pitch into the
- 1:09:26Speaker 7: polls in those districts and states to see if that
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: has a bump. And if the president coming there physically
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: and being on the campaign trail for these candidates gets
- 1:09:33Speaker 7: those people out to vote, I think the other obvious
- 1:09:36Speaker 7: one that we'll be watching this year is where Hispanics
- 1:09:39Speaker 7: will land this November, because Hispanics in 2024 pushed Trump
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: over the finish line, gave him a big victory. And
- 1:09:47Speaker 7: the question of do they stay with Trump and the Republicans?
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: Do they go back to the middle? Do they go
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: back to the Democrats? That's going to be a big
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: question because that's a coalition that wins for Republicans. So
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: we need to pay attention to where they fall this November.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: Smart stuff as always, Josh Jones. Thanks so much for
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the time. You brought your A game, even though it's

- 1:17:37Speaker 1: like to learn more, go to the events section of PatriotTalk920. com.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: That's PatriotTalk920. com. Todd is there today. He called in at
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: the end of Hour 1 to let us know he
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: was on the ground. He'll be traveling back tomorrow, so
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: it's my privilege to be here today and tomorrow and
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: hope you stay along and hope you call in and
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: engage in some conversation. So at the beginning of Hour 1,
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: I talked about this what-have-you-done-for-me-lately society. We tend to forget
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: the bad things from the past. I used to say,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: I don't say it now because it's too serious, But
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: we've got an open seat for governor in my home
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: state of Iowa. And the Democrat may very well win
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: for a whole variety of reasons. But my flip comment
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: has been, well, about every 12 or 16 years, Iowa
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: needs to elect a Democrat to something like that so
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: we remember why we don't elect Democrats. But the Democrats
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: of the past are not the Democrats now. And even
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: if it's a somewhat moderate Democrat, they're going to be
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: beholden to the socialist elements of the party going forward
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: you see how those radical extreme elements are holding the
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: party hostage. And the traditional folks just don't know what
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: to do, except they try to play along and that's
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: never going to work. So it makes a difference. And
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: these Democrats want you to think that all the bad
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: things in the world happened with Republicans and And they
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: were the innocent folks. They're just the folks for the people. Well,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: in hour one, and if you missed it, go to
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: the Toddcast podcast. It'll be posted later today at toddstarns.com,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: part of the Salem Podcast Network. You can listen as
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: we went through the Pearl Clutcher-in-Chief, former President Barack Hussein,
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: Barry Obama, on the Twitter X machine, trying to defend
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Ilhan Omar and saying that... No government should identify citizens
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: and target them based upon their political views. And then
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: in the first hour, we gave you a very long
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: list of when the Obama administration did just that. Well,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: guess what? The Biden administration did it too. Shortly before
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: the end of September, before the Senate left for the
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: October pre-election break, on my Iowa radio program, I spoke
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: with U.S. Senator Charles Grassley. Senator Grassley, of course, the
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: chair of the Judiciary Committee. And just before they left town,
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: they had that hearing where Jack Smith was there. And
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I asked Senator Grassley to comment on what came out
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: at that hearing and to also explain to the audience
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: why we should care about what they did in the past.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: This is a portion of that conversation, which was on
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: my station, KXEL, in Iowa a couple of weeks ago.
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: Listen to this, please.
- 1:20:40Speaker 4: Pretty darn big, because it shows the power of government.
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: When you weaponize the FBI and the Justice Department to
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: put an ex-president, now president, or let's say he was
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: citizen Trump then, to put him in jail... in prison
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: so he couldn't ever run for president again. Now, a
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: lot of people say Watergate was bad, but Watergate, I think,
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: was an example of the private sector scheming things, not
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: the entire federal government. So, in this case, the FBI
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: set a stage that made it possible for Jack Smith
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: to be appointed special counsel, and then he went about
- 1:21:35Speaker 4: not only going after Trump, but he went after 50
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: journalists with subpoenas. He went after more than several hundred
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Republican organizations, even the cell phones of 44 members of Congress.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: So you can see how sweeping his fishing expedition was,
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: and you could easily conclude that that it wasn't only
- 1:22:02Speaker 4: to hurt Trump, it was to hurt all of the
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: Republican machinery. By the way, we exposed and put in
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: the record documents that even the government didn't know I had,
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: and for sure Jack Smith didn't I know I had.
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: When I say documents, I mean emails and letters and
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: sorts of communications. that proved all this stuff that I'm
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: telling you about. And the reason we had them and
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: the government didn't know I had it is because of
- 1:22:38Speaker 4: the thoroughness of our work. But we work with whistleblowers,
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: and we got most of that information from whistleblowers, but
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: government documents.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: What assurances might we have that there is a deterrent
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: effect to prevent something similar from happening to people in office,
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: in government, private citizens down the road?
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: Well, for the citizens that would ask me, this is
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: all history, why are you worried about it? We want
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: to expose all this stuff so it will never happen
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: to anybody in the future, including Jane Doe and Jim Smith.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: here at the grassroots of Iowa. By the way, some
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: of the stuff that was subpoenaed was bank records, people
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: making contributions of even small amounts of money to the
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: Trump organization, the Trump campaign, and so 4,700 Americans had
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: their bank records subpoenaed, and of those 4,700, There were
- 1:23:46Speaker 4: 42 Iowans that had their bank records checked. And why
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: would Smith need bank records of 42 Iowans? But when
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: you get something in the government files, so the FBI
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: is going to have the names and the signatures and
- 1:24:08Speaker 4: the addresses and the routing numbers. and where the bank
- 1:24:15Speaker 4: accounts are of 42 Iowans and 4,700 Americans. That's an
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: invasion of privacy.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: My conversation with U.S. Senator Charles Grassley a couple of
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: weeks ago here on my program in Iowa, well, since
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: that time, we know it's even worse. A memo that
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: Senator Grassley has now distributed shows that Jack Smith's office
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: received data on nearly 700,000 Americans. Names, addresses, voter registration records,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: employment information, donor histories. They have the list of people
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: who bought a MAGA hat. Again, hundreds of thousands of documents.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: It's clearly intimidation. This was under the guise of an investigation.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: So in other words, when Democrats want to go after
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: their political enemies, they include every one of you. And
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: they said the quiet part out loud, Senator Slotkin saying, well,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you know, we want to discourage people from going to
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: be an intern at the White House or, you know,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the people who work there, we're going to target you.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: I mean, are you kidding me? This is absolutely ridiculous.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: And again, it's an example of all the atrocities that
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: they claim the Trump world is doing and They're only
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: pointing those out so that you'll pay attention and not
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: notice that they did a thousand times worse and did
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: it first. That doesn't mean there should be retribution. What
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: I'm saying is they did it. They started it. They
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: perfected the art of fooling judges and taking warrants to
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: friendly judges. We've already seen how the judiciary has acted
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: to thwart justice. Mr. Trump's political agenda in this term.
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: 639,000 to 700,000 people on a fishing expedition. And then
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: it got more desperate because as the scheme started to
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: unravel and they were still in charge, they started doubling down. Well,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: what do you think is going to happen If they
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: get back in, what do you think is already happening
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: because of moles within the deep state? I'm under no
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: illusion that Mr. Trump has a government full of people
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: who are neutral, much less those who support him. There
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: are plenty in there who work against him. What do
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: you think is going to happen? If you sit home
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: and don't vote, if you don't encourage friends to vote,
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: And don't vote to support his agenda. What do you
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: think is going to happen? They have shown us who
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: they are. And that quick little conversation with Senator Grassley
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: is just the tip of the iceberg, as we've learned
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: earlier this week with this additional memo. So again, if
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: you're not fired up to vote for the Republican because
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: you just don't think they've done enough, that's your alternative
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: right there. You stay home. or heaven forbid you cross over,
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: that's what's going to happen. Again, only worse because they're mad.
- 1:28:03Speaker 1: The only way to stop it is to participate in
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: the process. I have people who call me all the
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: time after I do an interview. Well, yeah, that's great information,
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: but what can I do? Here's what you do. You
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: go vote and you bring a friend or six. I
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: said five last hour. I've changed my mind. Friend or six.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: and become involved. The most fundamental thing you can do
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: is turn out and vote. And if you don't in
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: two weeks, this is what's going to happen. It's not
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: like it used to be. We may not survive another change. Literally. 901-260-5926.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: We'll take your calls after this break. From the Liberty

- 1:29:53Speaker 1: his way back to the home base in Memphis tomorrow.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: My pleasure to fill in tomorrow as well. 901-260-5926. Mary
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: Walter joins us just after the bottom of the hour.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: And we've been talking today about how soon they forget.
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: And we talked in the first hour about all the
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: things that the Obama administration did to punish political opponents.
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: And we just talked about Jack Smith and everything that's
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: coming out about what the Biden administration did. That's what
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: we're facing if you don't get out and take care
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: of business by voting. And something that came up here
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: in my home state, and I'm sure many of you
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: listening across the heartland, and to me, by the way,
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: heartland is not just geographical, it's sort of a state
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: of mind, but for those of you in agriculture, in
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: the farm economy, this is harvest time for many. Now,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: usually here in my home state, the free state of Iowa,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: we'd be pretty much wrapping up harvest by the 20th
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: of October. But we had record rainfall in September and
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: a couple of other dates earlier this month where many
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: areas of the state got an inch, inch and a
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: half of rain in one day. Well, that put people
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: way behind. So we are way behind, a couple of
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: weeks behind the five-year average in harvesting soybeans, but even
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: more so corn. Beans have been coming out of the field,
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: corn not as much. So yesterday, the Secretary of State
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: who handles elections and the Secretary of Agriculture held a
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: news conference to say to the farming community, don't miss
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: out on your chance to vote because you're busy in
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: the fields. Because again, normally, normally by election day, the
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: crops have been harvested, it's in the bins, and we're
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: starting to see whether it's got the economic impact that
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: we hope that it will. But this year, you could
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: find people out there trying to take advantage of a
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: day of good weather to actually do the harvest by
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: November 3rd. And because early voting has begun, early in-person voting,
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: they were encouraging folks, make a plan. Now, I am
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: one of those who shows up on Election Day. I
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: don't care when my radio show airs. I don't care
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: if I'm doing live broadcasts on TV and radio afterwards
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: or whatever. I go live. And I go to the
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: city hall, and that's where we vote, on election day.
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: And they give me a nice little I voted sticker.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: It's just something about the day. I used to do it,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you know, go vote and go have breakfast. You know,
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I mean, that's America. You go vote on election day.
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: But that doesn't work for everybody. And especially now, if
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: you're one of those who goes out and votes on
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: election day, and now because of the agriculture economy and
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: a late harvest, depending on where you're at, You may
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: have to take advantage of every nice weather day. They're saying,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: you know, maybe you should go vote in person early
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: to make sure you don't miss out. I mean, we
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: totally understand when your livelihood for the year depends on
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: harvesting when you can get in the field. Well, then
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: you need to have the backup for when you you
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: might be busy on Election Day. I had not even
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: thought about that. So if you're involved in the ag
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: community and you've got a late harvest and you might
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: want to look at the calendar and the next time
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: there's a rainy day or the next time you're headed
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: into town for something else, go ahead and vote. Get
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: it taken care of. Get it in the bank so
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: we don't have to worry about you sitting on the sidelines.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Mary Walter joins us after the bottom of the hour
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: from the Liberty University studio. Jeff Stein in for Todd.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Thanks for being along on the Todd Starn Show. Welcome
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: back to the Liberty University studio and the Todd Starn Show.
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: Jeff Stein filling in for Todd today. Todd is in
- 1:34:09Speaker 1: Houston for a great event sponsored by Patriot Talk 920 AM.
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: It's 2A Tuesday today at Collectors Firearms in Houston, 4
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: until 7. Free radio, free food, free drink. Somebody's going
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: to walk away with a Walther 9mm as well, so
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: we got free firearms. And you can purchase your copy
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: of The Golden Age, How Trump Saved America, and get
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: it signed by Todd Starnes. Go to PatriotTalk920. com, the events section,
- 1:34:37Speaker 1: for more information. So who has it better than Todd Starnes? Nobody.
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: But it's a close second for me because not only
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: do I get to fill in here, I get to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: talk with Mary Walter, who joins us now on the
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line. It's a Tuesday that means Mary
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: Walter Radio takes flight at 7.15 Eastern. Mary, how are you?
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: I'm good, Jeff.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: What a lovely treat to be on with you. I
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: don't believe we've ever spoken before, have we?
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Well, your luck ran out, didn't it, sister?
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: No, you're making my day.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: Don't blow it. 7.15 Eastern, 6.15 out here in God's country.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: The rest of you do your own math. And where
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: can we find Mary Walter Radio tonight? How do we
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: see that?
- 1:35:18Speaker 2: Tonight is.
- 1:35:19Speaker 8: It's live on Rumble YouTube and Getter, and you can
- 1:35:23Speaker 8: ask the guest questions and leave comments, et cetera.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: And so we are doing politics tonight. It's not always political.
- 1:35:30Speaker 8: Last week, we had someone who had been on a
- 1:35:33Speaker 8: humanitarian medical mission to Ghana and shared pictures and things
- 1:35:37Speaker 8: like that. And we learned all about the difference between
- 1:35:39Speaker 8: the private hospital in Ghana and the state-run hospital in Ghana.
- 1:35:44Speaker 2: So be careful what you wish for.
- 1:35:46Speaker 8: So it's not always political but that's tonight 7 15
- 1:35:48Speaker 8: p.m eastern time on rumble youtube and getter and then
- 1:35:51Speaker 8: the audio is on apple podcast spotify and speaker so
- 1:35:54Speaker 8: check it out thank you jeff all right i'm leaving
- 1:35:56Speaker 8: now i got my plug in i'm gone yeah you're.
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: Done see ya bye go get coffee uh who's the
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: guest tonight.
- 1:36:03Speaker 8: Um oh god i'm totally blanking he's brett bart news
- 1:36:08Speaker 8: um I'll figure it out.
- 1:36:10Speaker 2: Now I'm embarrassed because.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: I can't remember his name. You should have left. That's
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: my fault because you were in exit mode. Of all
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: the crazy stuff that we're hearing these days and all
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: of the hypocrisy and all of the spin, what's the
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: most annoying over the past few days for you as
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: you sit there and you say, oh, come on now,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: if we resorted to this, what's really at the top
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: of the you got to be kidding list?
- 1:36:36Speaker 2: And first of all, I remembered it's Theo Wolde.
- 1:36:38Speaker 4: Oh, nice.
- 1:36:39Speaker 8: He's a former state attorney general.
- 1:36:42Speaker 2: Yeah, and was in the Trump administration. Oh, hit my microphone.
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: Yeah, that's not a good thing. Did you hit the
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: microphone and unplug it?
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: No, I hit it by accident, and your system automatically
- 1:36:57Speaker 8: unmutes it.
- 1:36:58Speaker 2: I didn't realize that.
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: I didn't realize.
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: You automatically took control of my microphone.
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: You know, this, this is going to be a great
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: segment when we do it for real and not in rehearsal.
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: This is going to be great when we do it live. Uh, but, uh, what's,
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: what's at the top of you guys.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: So here's the thing.
- 1:37:13Speaker 8: You ask a question like, and I had to tell
- 1:37:15Speaker 8: you like every day, it's something else, right? Like every
- 1:37:18Speaker 8: day there's something like, I thought the candidate with the
- 1:37:21Speaker 8: Nazi tattoo was pretty much going to be the height
- 1:37:23Speaker 8: of ridiculous.
- 1:37:24Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: And, and, Every day there's something else. Alyssa Slotkin.
- 1:37:28Speaker 8: Now, I don't know if this is bad or if
- 1:37:29Speaker 8: it's good, but you've got Alyssa Slotkin coming out and
- 1:37:33Speaker 8: basically parroting Mussolini and fascist comments. Like, we're going to
- 1:37:38Speaker 8: hunt you down and we're going to make your life miserable.
- 1:37:40Speaker 8: She didn't come out and say, like, Mussolini, we're going
- 1:37:42Speaker 8: to hunt you down and off you. She just said that,
- 1:37:45Speaker 8: you know, we're going to bury you in legal fees
- 1:37:48Speaker 8: and make your life hell and not worth living if
- 1:37:51Speaker 8: you dare to come out of college and work for
- 1:37:53Speaker 8: this administration.
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: So.
- 1:37:55Speaker 8: I guess it's a good thing that at least they're
- 1:37:57Speaker 8: not pretending not to be fascists anymore.
- 1:38:00Speaker 2: So I'm not quite sure how to take it.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: Well, they're saying the quiet part out loud, which either
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: means that they are so confident in their own abilities
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: to know more than the rest of us that they
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: feel secure. It is rather quaint, though, to think, oh,
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: the Nazi tattoo guy, that's the worst we're.
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: Going to get.
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: Well, how innocent and quaint of us, because now you've
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: got His replacement up there in Maine, who has familial relations. relations,
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: takes family reunions to a different degree, and the Michigan stuff.
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: I mean, did I see where there was a clip
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: from when Mr. El-Sayed ran for governor where he said,
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: my parents liked Paula Abdul's music, and that's why they
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: gave me the name Abdul?
- 1:38:51Speaker 8: I did not see that, but could you please tag
- 1:38:55Speaker 8: me on that because I will live to see that, please?
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: I believe I saw that, and then he couldn't explain
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: why his brother was named Osama or something. You know,
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: you can't believe everything you see on the interwebs. But,
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: I mean, the concept of Barack Obama going up there
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: to say, go ahead and vote for this guy. He's
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: one of me. That's the fundamental change in America he
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: talked about in 2008, is it not, Mary?
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: Oh. A hundred percent. Abso-freak-a-lutely.
- 1:39:23Speaker 8: And I think he's so pleased with himself because the
- 1:39:26Speaker 8: takeover accelerated much quicker than he ever thought it would.
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: Faster than Barack Obama's wildest dreams. But here's the thing.
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: He's campaigning with the guy who put his sister-in-law on
- 1:39:37Speaker 2: a terror watch list. Make it make sense.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: Well, you know, where you stand depends on where you
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: sit today, I guess. I would love to see someone say, Mr. President,
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: who I've now dubbed the Pearl Clutcher-in-Chief because of his
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: protestations about Ilhan Omar, given what he did in office, Obama.
- 1:40:01Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, how's that conversation go?
- 1:40:03Speaker 4: Mr.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: President, why did you put the candidate you support's sister
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: on the watch list? Discuss.
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:40:11Speaker 8: Well, unfortunately, Jeff, you know, the mainstream media, the government,
- 1:40:15Speaker 8: basically the government-run media is not going to ask the
- 1:40:18Speaker 8: hard questions.
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: And it's interesting.
- 1:40:20Speaker 8: They do attempt to ask El-Said a couple of hard questions,
- 1:40:23Speaker 8: but El-Said will go, well, wait a minute.
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: Let me ask you. And then he just.
- 1:40:28Speaker 8: Deflects by asking a different question and then gets the
- 1:40:32Speaker 8: person to respond.
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: And off he goes. It's brilliant. And he's very good
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: at it.
- 1:40:36Speaker 8: But I find it hard to believe that all of
- 1:40:39Speaker 8: the electorate is brainless. I think there is a large
- 1:40:43Speaker 8: chunk of the electorate that operates on emotion and it's
- 1:40:46Speaker 8: whatever feels right is right. Whatever makes me feel good
- 1:40:49Speaker 8: about my choices and my viewpoints, that's what's right because
- 1:40:52Speaker 8: they have the emotional equivalent of.
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: An eight-year-old, right? That's just how they operate.
- 1:40:58Speaker 8: But there is a segment that is out there and says,
- 1:41:03Speaker 8: wait a minute, that guy.
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: Didn't answer the question. And he never answers the questions correctly.
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: The hard questions.
- 1:41:10Speaker 8: He still hasn't answered what's a bigger threat to the
- 1:41:12Speaker 8: United States.
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: What was it?
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: Egypt?
- 1:41:15Speaker 8: Iran?
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: Iran or Israel?
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: Right, or Israel.
- 1:41:22Speaker 8: And he still has not answered that question. Refuses to
- 1:41:25Speaker 8: answer that question. I do give the media some props
- 1:41:28Speaker 8: for asking him somewhat difficult questions. I mean, in all honesty,
- 1:41:32Speaker 8: they probably thought it was a softball question. Because Who
- 1:41:35Speaker 8: would say Iran? Everyone would say, well, you know, I mean,
- 1:41:38Speaker 8: everyone would say Iran. Nobody would say Israel's the bigger threat,
- 1:41:41Speaker 8: but he can't. He can't because of his base. And
- 1:41:46Speaker 8: so they kind of inadvertently, I think, put him in
- 1:41:49Speaker 8: a little bit of a corner and now he's living there.
- 1:41:52Speaker 8: So I think his act is running old for a
- 1:41:54Speaker 8: lot of people, but I guess we'll have to wait
- 1:41:56Speaker 8: and see.
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: And that's a great point, as always, made by Mary Walter.
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: Don't forget Mary Walter Radio tonight, 715 Eastern. She joins
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: us on the Patriot Mobile Newsmaker line on the Todd
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: Starn Show, Jeff Stein filling in. When you see El Saad,
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: and he does that routine, the indignant, how dare you ask,
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: I'm going to ask you a question. Well, that, again,
- 1:42:19Speaker 1: you know, when a politician tries to turn that on
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: a questioner, and he usually does it just with people
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: in the audience who aren't expecting it. But sometimes, and
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: I'm sure you've had this as a journalist, you ask
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: a question and then they try to say, well, what
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: would you have done? You know, the response is, hey,
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: I'm not the one running for office here, Skippy. So,
- 1:42:38Speaker 1: you know, I think he comes across as.
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: You call him Skippy?
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: I would if I had the opportunity. I don't know.
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: I'm Maybe I say too much out loud that I
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: should keep inside. Or the ones who say, that's a
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: very good question. I have been known to say thank you.
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: I ask them for a living. I mean, get on
- 1:42:57Speaker 1: with the answer. We don't need the stalling. But he
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: has no answer because, again, when, and he's not the
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: only one, but when you throw up the, how dare
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: you challenge me? You must be racist. Is that wearing
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: thin among most of the heartland of America, the good
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: old average folks who are just waking up to an
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: election two weeks before?
- 1:43:20Speaker 8: I think the majority of Americans are just like, okay,
- 1:43:26Speaker 8: I'm racist, I'm misogynist, I'm Islamophobic, I'm homophobic, I get it,
- 1:43:30Speaker 8: let's move on.
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: I think there's some that.
- 1:43:31Speaker 8: Still recoil at that. Alyssa Slotkin said that she went
- 1:43:36Speaker 8: full-on fascist and people are criticizing her and people are
- 1:43:39Speaker 8: pointing it out because she's a woman. So that means
- 1:43:42Speaker 8: you're a misogynist because you're only going after her for
- 1:43:45Speaker 8: that comment because she's a woman.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: And I'm like, no, I'm going after you for that
- 1:43:49Speaker 2: comment because.
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: You're a communist or fascist with your toe dipping into communism.
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: That's why. So they they do use it. But you're right.
- 1:43:58Speaker 8: The excuses when eventually people get tired of hearing the
- 1:44:01Speaker 8: excuse over and over again, which is why I think
- 1:44:03Speaker 8: you're starting to see pushback.
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: Again against men and women's sports.
- 1:44:07Speaker 8: Right. People aren't afraid of being called homophobic anymore.
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: They're like, yeah, you're right. Oh, well. My life doesn't change.
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: Tough being me. What do you think of this? I
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: hate talking about the WNBA, but I will for a moment.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: It's subsidized by the NBA. Now, all of a sudden,
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: it's getting some popularity. There is a rule. The WNBA
- 1:44:33Speaker 1: has very few rules, including what the W stands for.
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: But they have a rule that says you must stand
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: for the national anthem. So they're having the finals, and
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: both teams walk off the court twice, as I understand,
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: to not have to be there for the national anthem.
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: You know, get out of your own way.
- 1:44:53Speaker 2: So I have mixed feelings about this.
- 1:44:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: I do honestly.
- 1:45:00Speaker 8: Believe that the WNBA is trying to commit suicide. I
- 1:45:02Speaker 8: think they're bored. I think that, um, they're realizing it's
- 1:45:06Speaker 8: not going to go anywhere. And the powers that be
- 1:45:09Speaker 8: that started this whole thing are like, wow, this turned
- 1:45:11Speaker 8: out to be a super bad idea.
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: And so how can we kill it?
- 1:45:15Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:45:15Speaker 8: The that's, that's one of the things I have in
- 1:45:18Speaker 8: the back of my brain because they can't make it
- 1:45:19Speaker 8: without the NBA. So that's the, and they have Caitlin
- 1:45:22Speaker 8: Clark and, um, And Sophie Cunningham who are draws. And
- 1:45:28Speaker 8: so they just get beaten up because they're white and straight, right?
- 1:45:31Speaker 8: So they're constantly getting beaten up and it's not a
- 1:45:33Speaker 8: good look, but here's the thing. How sad is it
- 1:45:36Speaker 8: that you would have to force them to come back
- 1:45:37Speaker 8: on to the court? Part of me says, no, show
- 1:45:39Speaker 8: your true colors. Show us who you are.
- 1:45:41Speaker 2: Walk off the court.
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: Good.
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: I want to see that. Cause you know what? That
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: I'm not coming back.
- 1:45:46Speaker 8: If I, especially if I brought my child, I'm not
- 1:45:48Speaker 8: coming back to see you ever again because you're a
- 1:45:50Speaker 8: bunch of unpatriotic ingrates. And, um, no, I'm not spending
- 1:45:53Speaker 8: my money anymore. So I don't like people standing there
- 1:45:56Speaker 8: just because they're forced to stand there and pretend that
- 1:45:59Speaker 8: they're patriotic. Show your true colors and I will make
- 1:46:02Speaker 8: my decisions accordingly.
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: I usually wind up with people responding when I start
- 1:46:08Speaker 1: talking about this topic saying, are they still in business
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: after all the self-inflicted wounds? You know, I mean, could
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: you talk about something somewhat important, but. Watch this transition,
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: not my first day. They always talk about something important
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: when it's Mary Walter Radio, Tuesday, 7.15 p.m.
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: Eastern.
- 1:46:27Speaker 1: And again, tonight, the featured guest and the ways we
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: can consume this fine media.
- 1:46:34Speaker 2: I love you.
- 1:46:35Speaker 8: Rumble YouTube Getter. It's live tonight, 7.15 p.m. You can
- 1:46:38Speaker 8: join in, ask questions, leave comments. And then the audio
- 1:46:41Speaker 8: is available when I get around to it on Apple Podcasts, Spotify,
- 1:46:44Speaker 8: and Spreaker.
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: So thank you so much.
- 1:46:46Speaker 8: And may I just say, you know, you said it's
- 1:46:47Speaker 8: like death by a thousand.
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: Cuts for the WNBA.
- 1:46:50Speaker 8: It's almost like they're learning from the Republican Party how
- 1:46:53Speaker 8: to snatch.
- 1:46:55Speaker 2: Defeat from the jaws of victory. Republicans do it every time.
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: Oh, heavens. I hated that analogy, but oh, so accurate.
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: Sad to say. Shades of 2018 all over again. I
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: hope not. It was a true pleasure, Mary. I appreciate
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: the time, and I hope we talk again.
- 1:47:11Speaker 2: Yes, thank you so much. It was so nice to
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: meet you. You are a lovely host.
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: You're so kind, and you should know because you're one
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: as well. Mary Walter joined us on the Patriot Mobile

- 1:48:47Speaker 1: privilege to fill in again for him. But get to
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: Houston if you can, patriotalk920. com, events tab for the information.
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: I did something kind of unique today. I actually prepared
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: for the show. I have a whole stack of things
- 1:49:01Speaker 1: that I didn't get to, which is good because we've
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: got tomorrow. Here's a story, though, that we've been talking
- 1:49:07Speaker 1: today about hypocrisy and what have you done for me lately.
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: The folks at Fox Business have appropriately taken the CEO
- 1:49:14Speaker 1: of United Airlines to task. He's a fellow by the
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: name of Scott Kirby. Now, he took home about $ 32. 3
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: million in total compensation in the last fiscal year. Now,
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: that's fine. I don't care. That's great. Salary, stock awards,
- 1:49:30Speaker 1: performance incentives. Well, he was interviewed by the New York Times.
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: about declining public trust in corporate executives. And that's when
- 1:49:40Speaker 1: they started figuring out that Mr. Kirby makes 334 times
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: the airline's median employee compensation. The airline's median employee compensation, $ 96, 670.
- 1:49:54Speaker 1: That's a pretty good coin. Well, he makes 334 times that.
- 1:49:59Speaker 1: He says we should have a national wealth tax It
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: won't work by state because people will just move. Well, duh.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: And he said, I think we should have inheritance taxes
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: that get close to 100% at some level. I would
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: pay them. Yeah, you're making $ 300, 000. Wealth inequity has become
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: a danger to our society, and we need to address that,
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: United CEO Scott Kirby said. So Fox Business reached out.
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: after seeing those quotes in the New York Times, and said, well, now,
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: if growing wealth in equity is a threat to society,
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: are you going to reduce your compensation so that you
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: can share the wealth with your employees? What level of
- 1:50:50Speaker 1: money would you need in order to trigger that near 100%
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: inheritance tax? Oddly, Both Mr. Kirby and United have failed
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: to respond to the folks at Fox. Hmm, what do
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: you know? Now, look, if you can get somebody to
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: pay you $ 32. 3 million in a given year, you go.
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: It's called capitalism. There's nothing wrong with it. But when
- 1:51:25Speaker 1: you then talk about we should have these huge taxes...
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: You can make a voluntary payment to the federal government
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: any time. Go ahead, sir. You just said you'd pay
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: that tax. Lead by example. Make a payment today to
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: the local IRS office. Drop a mil. Just write a check.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: Just scratch out a check for a million dollars and
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: leave it there and set the example. Or just fail
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: to respond to Fox Business for comment. Could do that, too,
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: because apparently that's what you're doing. All right, Houston, PatriotTalk920. com, PatriotTalk920. com.
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: Go see Todd Starnes at Collectors Firearms, 4 until 7.
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: Jeff Stein filling in for Todd. Talk to you tomorrow
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: right here on the Todd Starnes Show.
