- 2:34Speaker 1: Let us know who you are, let us know what
- 2:35Speaker 1: you're thinking. We can't wait to hear from you. Yeah, Now,
- 2:39Speaker 1: before we get into this recap, Beatrice, did you have
- 2:43Speaker 1: any takeaways of import I just.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Don't know why we have to hear about Cody and
- 2:50Speaker 2: Robin licking each other. Like, I don't want that visual.
- 2:54Speaker 2: I don't want to think about it. I don't want
- 2:56Speaker 2: to hear about it. Y'all are not a active They're
- 3:01Speaker 2: not objectively they're not. I don't want to hear about
- 3:06Speaker 2: these people fucking licking, sucking. I don't want to hear
- 3:10Speaker 2: about stop it. It's disgusting.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a bit much. I think Cody's really interested
- 3:16Speaker 1: in how we perceive him in terms of his virility
- 3:20Speaker 1: and his masculinity. And by the way, we're also going
- 3:23Speaker 1: to have a little bit of commentary on Special Forces
- 3:26Speaker 1: Cody Brown. We're gonna do a little separate video for that.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Make sure to look for it. But like, even in that,
- 3:31Speaker 1: he seems really wedded to his toxic masculinity. So I
- 3:35Speaker 1: was just like, ugh, cringe. Yeah, Now my takeaway, I
- 3:39Speaker 1: had a couple. I think my main one though, was
- 3:43Speaker 1: Maddie m Yeah, that was heavy. I think that it
- 3:47Speaker 1: was really important for her to be able to say that,
- 3:53Speaker 1: And I think it's also really great for us to
- 3:55Speaker 1: hear that because so many of us wonder what the
- 3:59Speaker 1: kids are going through, and the majority of them are
- 4:01Speaker 1: pretty silent. And when she was sharing about how she
- 4:06Speaker 1: just needed to accept Cody for who he is and
- 4:10Speaker 1: maybe he's trying his best, like, I had so many
- 4:13Speaker 1: tears in my eyes, and I really really felt for Maddie.
- 4:17Speaker 1: And so we'll talk about it when we get there,
- 4:19Speaker 1: but like that was just like that was the thing
- 4:21Speaker 1: in this episode that kind of rocked my little raccoon heart.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I agree, that was really emotional, and I'm glad we
- 4:28Speaker 2: hear from her. I wish we could hear from more
- 4:30Speaker 2: of the older kids, but I'm glad that she's speaking
- 4:32Speaker 2: out about it.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Me too. Yeah, Okay, So without further ado, let's get
- 4:38Speaker 1: into Sister Wives Season twenty, episode one, entitled.
- 4:43Speaker 3: Why I Want to be a monogamous?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Oh God, I'm sick of it. Like I care.
- 4:47Speaker 1: We already talked about it.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You had a whole conversation on Coyote past. Yeah, Robin
- 4:52Speaker 1: last season and what you told her you were done
- 4:54Speaker 1: with polygamy.
- 4:54Speaker 2: We already had this, but apparently we got to bring
- 4:58Speaker 2: it up again in season twenty. Yeah, maybe this is
- 5:02Speaker 2: old footage from season nineteen that we're getting recycled. Probably, yes,
- 5:07Speaker 2: But we start off this episode kind of checking in
- 5:09Speaker 2: with everybody. We start with like Cody saying he doesn't
- 5:13Speaker 2: really talk to any of the OG three, Like he
- 5:17Speaker 2: talks to Janelle from time to time, but I don't.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Know how much I believe of that.
- 5:22Speaker 2: He says he talks to Mary even less because he
- 5:25Speaker 2: hates Mary, and he talks to Christine only via text
- 5:29Speaker 2: and it's only about Truly otherwise Christine wants nothing to
- 5:32Speaker 2: do with him.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Which I don't believe because I don't think he really
- 5:36Speaker 1: spends a ton of time with Truly. Yeah. I know
- 5:39Speaker 1: he bops into Salt Lake City from time to time.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I think maybe Aspen has driven Truly out to Flagstaff
- 5:45Speaker 1: a couple of times, but I don't think he is
- 5:48Speaker 1: exercising his visitation regularly, So I doubt he's really talking
- 5:52Speaker 1: to Christine via text. That's just my thought.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I agree. I think he's just trying to save face
- 5:57Speaker 2: and act like, oh yeah, no, I'm trying to talk,
- 6:00Speaker 2: I'm being civil whatever, dude. And then we bop on
- 6:03Speaker 2: over to Utah with Christina and David, and they kind
- 6:05Speaker 2: of talk about their first year of marriage, which has
- 6:08Speaker 2: overall been pretty great because they're, you know, having lots
- 6:11Speaker 2: of sex and stuff or whatever, but it's also been
- 6:14Speaker 2: kind of hard because obviously, with the passing of Garrison,
- 6:17Speaker 2: like that was very, very emotional and traumatic, and so
- 6:22Speaker 2: they just kind of talk about that a little bit,
- 6:24Speaker 2: Like briefly, I was glad to hear Garrison be mentioned again, because,
- 6:28Speaker 2: like I was worried with season nineteen. I'm like, is
- 6:30Speaker 2: this all we're gonna get about him? But we are
- 6:32Speaker 2: talking about him still, which is good, and I think
- 6:36Speaker 2: David has says something like there's still a lot of
- 6:38Speaker 2: raw emotions still, but you know, we're doing good, We're
- 6:41Speaker 2: having a good life or whatever. And then we have
- 6:44Speaker 2: Mary over at her haunted BMB and she's been there
- 6:47Speaker 2: for like the last year and a half and she
- 6:51Speaker 2: says she's has has some relationships with some of the
- 6:53Speaker 2: family members, but no relationship with others. And I'm like,
- 6:56Speaker 2: why don't you just say the ones you're not talking to,
- 7:01Speaker 2: like Cody and Robin.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Right, and Christine obviously, yeah, and some of the kids,
- 7:06Speaker 1: but she can't be transparent to save her life.
- 7:09Speaker 3: It's so annoyed.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Always have to guess with Mary, and she's rocking that
- 7:12Speaker 1: Alice from Twilight haircoy girl. She's looking good though. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: she seems happy, sure, And so by the time we're
- 7:21Speaker 1: catching up with her in this episode, she's been in
- 7:24Speaker 1: the Haunted B and B for like a year and
- 7:26Speaker 1: a half. Yeah, and so she's acclimated. She's doing her thing,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and I'm happy for her me too.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Even though she's annoying. And then we have Cody again
- 7:36Speaker 2: talking about Coyote Pass a little bit. He says there's
- 7:38Speaker 2: still a bunch of crap out on Coyote Pass, but
- 7:42Speaker 2: he says the women the OG three are actually not
- 7:45Speaker 2: the OG three. Mary and Janelle are expecting him to
- 7:48Speaker 2: take care of it. But he's like, I'm not really
- 7:51Speaker 2: motivated too, because they haven't been kind to me. I'm like, are.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Huh have you forgotten the past three years and the
- 8:02Speaker 1: absolute vitriolic campaign you were on against these women and
- 8:07Speaker 1: how you shamed them and even body shamed them, Robin did.
- 8:11Speaker 1: How you were so cruel to these women and you're
- 8:15Speaker 1: concerned about their kindness to you, and you're like, yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I don't think I have to move any of the
- 8:20Speaker 1: things because they're not kind to me. But meanwhile, none
- 8:23Speaker 1: of these women actually live in Arizona. It makes sense
- 8:27Speaker 1: that you'd be the one out there moving things around.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And then we have Janelle saying, well, it's not even
- 8:31Speaker 1: my stuff, it's Cody's stuff.
- 8:33Speaker 3: It's definitely his stuff.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And I think we talked about this in season nineteen
- 8:36Speaker 2: that a lot of his crap out there is theorized
- 8:39Speaker 2: to be some of his like failed MLMs or failed
- 8:42Speaker 2: businesses or whatever, And so he just puts out all
- 8:44Speaker 2: this shit out on Coyote Paths and then doesn't want
- 8:47Speaker 2: to do anything with it, just like how he didn't
- 8:49Speaker 2: want to pay off Coyote Pass because he wanted to
- 8:51Speaker 2: drag everything out to spite Mary and Janelle. It's just
- 8:55Speaker 2: like so annoying because we know Cody's going to be
- 8:58Speaker 2: going on this redemption arc during this season in and
- 9:00Speaker 2: going on his little apology tour, and it's like, you
- 9:03Speaker 2: want me to have sympathy for you when you're saying
- 9:05Speaker 2: this shit in episode one, I'm not going to clean
- 9:08Speaker 2: anything up because these wives.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Haven't been nice to me, Like fuck you.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm so tired of him. And then we bop
- 9:14Speaker 2: on over to North Carolina, where Janelle is still living
- 9:17Speaker 2: with Caleb and Maddie and she's overall enjoying herself. She says,
- 9:21Speaker 2: North Carolina has been really good to her. She's like
- 9:24Speaker 2: taking classes and stuff and trying to meet new.
- 9:27Speaker 3: People, and.
- 9:29Speaker 2: She's overall like glad that she made the move because
- 9:32Speaker 2: it would have been too hard to stay in flag
- 9:33Speaker 2: Staff after Garrison passed away. And then we have a
- 9:36Speaker 2: season scene with Maddie and Caleb where Janelle's talking about
- 9:40Speaker 2: Coyote Pass not being settled and not being like figured
- 9:44Speaker 2: out yet and Cody being unfair, which I'm just like,
- 9:48Speaker 2: I want more of that.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, And that came from Caleb and he said something like, well,
- 9:52Speaker 1: but Cody's always fair, right, something sarcastic, which I thought, Wow,
- 9:57Speaker 1: how the tables have turned, because they're as a time
- 10:00Speaker 1: when Cody really liked Caleb. Oh yeah, and they were
- 10:04Speaker 1: pretty close and had a bit of a bromance. But
- 10:06Speaker 1: now clearly Caleb despises Cody, and in the later scene
- 10:11Speaker 1: when we have Maddie breaking down, just the way he's
- 10:14Speaker 1: looking at Maddie and obviously loving Maddie, Oh god, he
- 10:18Speaker 1: must just hate Cody.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I mean, how could you not At this point,
- 10:22Speaker 2: anyone with a heart looks at Cody and is like,
- 10:25Speaker 2: you're evil man. And then Janelle also talks about the
- 10:29Speaker 2: spiritual release that Mary got last year on season nineteen,
- 10:34Speaker 2: and so Janelle was actually thinking about doing the same
- 10:37Speaker 2: thing because she didn't realize that would even be an
- 10:39Speaker 2: option for her until she saw Mary do it. And
- 10:42Speaker 2: I'm like, please, please do the spiritual release because I
- 10:45Speaker 2: want those old church leaders to call up Cody again
- 10:48Speaker 2: and say.
- 10:49Speaker 1: You suck based on abandonment.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Be so fucking awesome.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I didn't abandon these women, they abandoned me. Such a
- 10:56Speaker 1: hit to his ego, Yes, especially because it's coming from
- 10:59Speaker 1: patriarch arkle males in his religion. Yep, yeah, it hurts.
- 11:03Speaker 3: It does hurt.
- 11:04Speaker 2: And then we have the scene with Maddie talking to
- 11:07Speaker 2: the camera about Garrison's death and how this revealed a
- 11:12Speaker 2: lot of shit that happened in the family and just
- 11:14Speaker 2: like a lot of the behaviors from family members aka Cody,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and she gets really emotional here and says that she
- 11:22Speaker 2: just wants her father to show up, which is really
- 11:25Speaker 2: fucking sad, because it's like, I think Maddie's like, what
- 11:28Speaker 2: twenty five, twenty six, twenty seven older, she just got
- 11:32Speaker 2: to be like in her late twenties or something like that,
- 11:34Speaker 2: and like just to have that emotion still is so
- 11:39Speaker 2: raw and so real, and like Cody just is so
- 11:42Speaker 2: oblivious to it because he probably thinks like Maddie's the problem.
- 11:46Speaker 1: He definitely does. He's kind of referred to her as
- 11:50Speaker 1: the ringleader of the gossip click yeah, in the family.
- 11:54Speaker 1: And I just really related to Maddie in this moment.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And it took me person a really long time to
- 12:02Speaker 1: shift my mindset about my parents, in particular my father,
- 12:07Speaker 1: who was very abusive in the family, like super very,
- 12:10Speaker 1: very very abusive, and like I had to work through
- 12:14Speaker 1: so much just trying to deal with the abuse, but
- 12:18Speaker 1: then like trying to arrive at a place of letting
- 12:22Speaker 1: it go, maybe even forgiveness, and how much work is
- 12:28Speaker 1: actually entailed in doing all of that. And by the
- 12:32Speaker 1: time I was able to see my father and also
- 12:35Speaker 1: my mother as just like people who hopefully did the
- 12:39Speaker 1: best that they could in these various moments of my life.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Like by the time I got there, I was in
- 12:45Speaker 1: my forties. Yeah, So I just I see Maddie. She's
- 12:49Speaker 1: in the process of trying to get there. She recognizes
- 12:52Speaker 1: the work that she needs to do. She understands that
- 12:56Speaker 1: maybe her father, you know, is kind of a broken
- 13:00Speaker 1: person and maybe he's hurting too, and so you can
- 13:02Speaker 1: see her trying to have grace for him, which is
- 13:06Speaker 1: such a beautiful thing. And I again, I just really
- 13:10Speaker 1: really related.
- 13:10Speaker 2: To her, Yeah, And it was really powerful when she
- 13:13Speaker 2: was crying and talking about how she wants to learn
- 13:16Speaker 2: how to not be disappointed in Cody and how she
- 13:19Speaker 2: like understands that she had a part to play and
- 13:21Speaker 2: some of it even though she is the child, like
- 13:23Speaker 2: she knows like maybe some of her perceptions or her
- 13:27Speaker 2: behaviors with everything, like there's some part that she has
- 13:29Speaker 2: to play. But like she also has to accept Cody
- 13:33Speaker 2: for who and what he is, and that's a really
- 13:36Speaker 2: hard thing to do, especially when.
- 13:37Speaker 3: It's your parent, like you just talked about here.
- 13:39Speaker 2: And then she talks about how at Garrison's memorial she
- 13:43Speaker 2: was talking with Leon and how Leon has come to
- 13:47Speaker 2: the point of acceptance of who Cody is and Leon
- 13:52Speaker 2: is at a place of peace with that because they
- 13:55Speaker 2: just accept Cody for being a piece of shit, and
- 13:58Speaker 2: Maddie is really just not there yet, but she's really
- 14:01Speaker 2: trying to get to that because ultimately it'll make her
- 14:04Speaker 2: feel better in her life and not have so much
- 14:07Speaker 2: emotion and sadness around her father. But she's in that
- 14:10Speaker 2: like hurting, like grief angry phase right now where it's
- 14:14Speaker 2: just like it's a lot, and I can only imagine,
- 14:17Speaker 2: I mean, after the death of your brother and Cody
- 14:19Speaker 2: just making it all about himself and still not trying
- 14:23Speaker 2: to reconcile anything with any of his kids, Like I
- 14:26Speaker 2: just I can't imagine, Like we as viewers watch this
- 14:29Speaker 2: shit and we're irate and angry at Cody's behavior, but
- 14:33Speaker 2: like being the kids in this situation, in this very
- 14:35Speaker 2: real situation, it's a lot. And then we bop on
- 14:38Speaker 2: over to Cody in his talking head and he says
- 14:42Speaker 2: that he's just been compartmentalizing his emotions. He does want
- 14:46Speaker 2: healing with everybody, especially his children, but it has to
- 14:50Speaker 2: be on their terms, so everyone's at an impasse.
- 14:53Speaker 1: So that was a criticism, right, m that was an
- 14:56Speaker 1: insult that he was actually levying against his because I
- 15:01Speaker 1: was wondering, like, what do you mean that you want
- 15:03Speaker 1: to make sure it's on their terms. Or are you
- 15:06Speaker 1: saying like you can't do anything because they're so stubborn
- 15:09Speaker 1: and it only has to be on their terms. That's
- 15:11Speaker 1: sort of like, ugh, Cody, you're fifty seven years old, yep,
- 15:16Speaker 1: what are you doing with your life? Like in the
- 15:18Speaker 1: timeline that we're looking at, we see Solomon and we
- 15:21Speaker 1: see Ari going to school like it's their first day
- 15:24Speaker 1: of school. So we're probably in August or September of
- 15:27Speaker 1: last year. And I was thinking about the McMansion. When
- 15:32Speaker 1: did the mcmanson go up? Guys?
- 15:34Speaker 2: I know I was thinking about that too, because we
- 15:36Speaker 2: saw them in their old McMansion.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I'm like, what, but you bought the name?
- 15:40Speaker 1: But they but they didn't sell this McMansion until like
- 15:44Speaker 1: October they had to write or November. And I want
- 15:49Speaker 1: to say they put up the McMansion and like the
- 15:51Speaker 1: summer or August, like July, August, September. But I also
- 15:56Speaker 1: think around this time, Christine has filed a low suit
- 16:01Speaker 1: against Cody. So I'm just wondering. I forget when they
- 16:04Speaker 1: win under contract for the new McMansion. I want to
- 16:07Speaker 1: say that was October November. I just there's a lot
- 16:09Speaker 1: that's going on. Ye, And you can still see in
- 16:12Speaker 1: Cody in his talking heads, like he's angry, he's trying
- 16:16Speaker 1: to pretend that he still loves or he loved his wives.
- 16:19Speaker 1: He's trying to pretend that he wants to heal these relationships.
- 16:23Speaker 1: But just his facial expressions, they're so weird a lot.
- 16:26Speaker 1: They are still my God, at the end, when he's
- 16:28Speaker 1: talking about how a woman needs to be a diamond,
- 16:31Speaker 1: I know, like, something's wrong with you.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Yeah, there is something wrong. You have actual disorder. Yeah. Actually,
- 16:37Speaker 2: I'm like, what are these facial expressions that you're making.
- 16:40Speaker 2: It's like he's a demon trying to pretend like he's
- 16:44Speaker 2: a human. So he's making these weird, cartoonish faces to
- 16:47Speaker 2: try and appear human like, and I'm like, dude, you're
- 16:50Speaker 2: freaking me out. Yeah, just like stop it. And then
- 16:54Speaker 2: after his talking head, we have Mary saying she just
- 16:57Speaker 2: wants everybody to be civil with each other, and I'm
- 16:59Speaker 2: just like, okay, but what about you, Mary, Like, if
- 17:01Speaker 2: you're not having relationships with some of the other people,
- 17:04Speaker 2: like I know you're probably not having a relationship with
- 17:06Speaker 2: Cody and Robin, but I'm like, what about you though
- 17:09Speaker 2: with some of the others Anna. And then speaking of Mary,
- 17:12Speaker 2: we go on this like speed dating thing with her.
- 17:16Speaker 2: She's like getting ready to go to the speed dating
- 17:19Speaker 2: event in Utah with Jen, and she talks about what
- 17:24Speaker 2: she wants from a man. She wants them to be confident, kind,
- 17:28Speaker 2: and also very tall, which means a big peepe.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Well, I think it means Cody's a diminutive health, he's
- 17:37Speaker 1: a lepre We can infer what we do, but I'm
- 17:42Speaker 1: just I think she's tired of a short king.
- 17:45Speaker 2: She wants a talk ky based yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And hey, we like what we like.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great. I want that from Mary too. And
- 17:52Speaker 2: then we talk about dating with Janelle and Christine as well.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Christine's like, I never did any of that speed dating bullshit, no,
- 17:59Speaker 2: thank you, And Janelle's.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Like, I will never do that.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I wanted to be organic, like I meet somebody at
- 18:05Speaker 2: the farmer's market or the bar or something otherwise I
- 18:08Speaker 2: don't want it at all. She doesn't want any of
- 18:09Speaker 2: the dating apps or the tenders or nothing, which I'm
- 18:12Speaker 2: just like, that's cool, m hm. And then on the
- 18:15Speaker 2: way to speed dating, we have Jen and Mary practicing
- 18:20Speaker 2: and I'm just.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Like, please stop.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's to highlight their friendship.
- 18:26Speaker 3: And I'm bored.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Well, I can appreciate the camaraderie. I did like when
- 18:31Speaker 1: they got to the part where Mary's a little unsure
- 18:35Speaker 1: about how to address her former polygamy. Yeah, yeah, and
- 18:39Speaker 1: she references having not been in a relationship. But she
- 18:43Speaker 1: was talking to somebody and she divulged that she had
- 18:47Speaker 1: been in a polygamous relationship. And they immediately are like,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm out. I can't do it. I don't want any
- 18:52Speaker 1: part of that. And I was just remembering that gentleman
- 18:55Speaker 1: that she dated for quite some time and she I
- 18:58Speaker 1: think she hard launched him. She did on her Instagram.
- 19:01Speaker 1: His name was Amos. Are we talking about Amos here?
- 19:04Speaker 1: Because I don't think that's the reason Amos exited your relationship. Like, yeah,
- 19:08Speaker 1: if we're talking about Amos here, the reason he left
- 19:11Speaker 1: is because people were getting all up in his business. Yeah,
- 19:15Speaker 1: very skeptical about his motivations for dating Mary. And either
- 19:20Speaker 1: she pulled the plug or he did because the heat
- 19:22Speaker 1: was too much, or she's referencing somebody else.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm wondering. I wish we could get more from Mary.
- 19:29Speaker 2: And this is why she's so annoying to me? Like,
- 19:31Speaker 2: I'm glad she's dating. I'm glad she's happy. That's awesome,
- 19:35Speaker 2: but like, holy shit, why are you fifty four and
- 19:38Speaker 2: not just saying the full thing? Yeah? Why is it
- 19:41Speaker 2: so cryptic? Why are you always just giving us half
- 19:45Speaker 2: truths to everything? It's so annoying.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just so tired of it.
- 19:49Speaker 2: And then we have like commentary from Christine and Janelle
- 19:53Speaker 2: about polygamy and like whether or not you should like
- 19:55Speaker 2: divulge that to a future partner. Christine's like, don't bring
- 20:00Speaker 2: it up on the first date, period, But I'm like,
- 20:02Speaker 2: didn't you do that with David? I feel like she
- 20:04Speaker 2: did that with David, But I don't know. Janelle says,
- 20:07Speaker 2: whoever she dates next is going to know her for
- 20:10Speaker 2: a while, so they're already gonna know about polygamy. So
- 20:12Speaker 2: she's like not even worried about it. Do you think
- 20:14Speaker 2: Janelle is actually gonna end up dating?
- 20:17Speaker 1: I do you think so?
- 20:18Speaker 2: I do.
- 20:19Speaker 1: First of all, I think she's a catch. I think
- 20:22Speaker 1: she's down to earth for sure. I think she's really
- 20:24Speaker 1: comfortable in her life. I think she's got a lot
- 20:27Speaker 1: to offer. I think she is probably in a state
- 20:31Speaker 1: of shock, like a lot of us who get divorced
- 20:33Speaker 1: are like for a period of time, we're just like
- 20:35Speaker 1: trying to survive and just make a new life for ourselves.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Like that's where she is. But like when she settles
- 20:41Speaker 1: into her life, I can see her definitely attracting a companion,
- 20:46Speaker 1: I really one who's really good to her and good
- 20:49Speaker 1: for her, and she deserves that.
- 20:51Speaker 2: She definitely does. I just sometimes watch her and I'm
- 20:54Speaker 2: wondering if she ever will date again, because she talks
- 20:57Speaker 2: about how it needs to be organic and whatever. I
- 21:00Speaker 2: just wonder if she is even interested in it, and
- 21:03Speaker 2: maybe not right now, but I don't know.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Well, And that's the thing, Like if she didn't meet someone,
- 21:10Speaker 1: she would be perfectly okay. Yeah, And that's the kind
- 21:12Speaker 1: of mindset and the energetic composition that you're in when
- 21:16Speaker 1: you do meet somebody, Like when you're perfectly okay with
- 21:18Speaker 1: you yourself, you love your life, you love what you're doing,
- 21:22Speaker 1: that's when a wonderful person is attracted into your life.
- 21:25Speaker 1: So I can see her with somebody else, but I
- 21:26Speaker 1: can also see her fully content with her life as
- 21:29Speaker 1: it is.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of how I'm at I really want
- 21:31Speaker 2: her to have that baby strap and Cowboy though, would
- 21:33Speaker 2: be so great.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Yep, so awesome.
- 21:36Speaker 2: And then we bop on over to California, to California
- 21:39Speaker 2: to North Carolina again, where we have Christine and some
- 21:42Speaker 2: of the family out there visiting Janelle and Maddie and Caleb,
- 21:46Speaker 2: and David's there too. With Christine, Maddie and David do
- 21:50Speaker 2: some kind of like race, I don't know. Janelle says
- 21:54Speaker 2: something weird about how David has an ego. She says,
- 21:58Speaker 2: he definitely has an ego.
- 22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's a bit of a showman and he's
- 22:02Speaker 1: like anything you can do, I can do better. Interesting,
- 22:06Speaker 1: And I think Janelle's being light about it. But I
- 22:10Speaker 1: am sensing some criticism there. Yeah, so I'm wondering if
- 22:14Speaker 1: she's maybe a little annoyed with David. I know she
- 22:17Speaker 1: gets annoyed with Christine. Yeah, so maybe she just finds
- 22:20Speaker 1: them as a couple like annoying. It's like too much.
- 22:23Speaker 1: But like sidebar aspen Yeah, oh my god, so gorgeous beautiful?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Is that her natural hair color? I think so that
- 22:32Speaker 1: is like we don't really see that color a lot.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, she's gorgeous.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Is so gorgeous, and.
- 22:38Speaker 1: I don't think she's pregnant at this time. Yeah, I
- 22:41Speaker 1: think she's gonna get pregnant in a few months or whatever,
- 22:43Speaker 1: but like, it was just really nice to see her.
- 22:46Speaker 1: She's there to support Janelle and it was great.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I really like that.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And we have like a little commentary between Christine and
- 22:55Speaker 2: Janelle talked about like they compete or in Christine's perspective,
- 23:00Speaker 2: they compete to have like the family coming over to
- 23:03Speaker 2: one of their houses, and of course Christine wants everybody
- 23:05Speaker 2: to come visit her in Utah, but of course Janelle
- 23:09Speaker 2: wants everybody to come visit her there. And it really
- 23:11Speaker 2: just highlights how these are like the anchors of the
- 23:14Speaker 2: whole family Janelle and Christine. No offense to Mary, but
- 23:17Speaker 2: because they have all the kids, you know, they really
- 23:19Speaker 2: are the anchor moms of everything. And I'm really glad
- 23:22Speaker 2: that they at least have like a good friendship because
- 23:26Speaker 2: this family is so fucking broken. Otherwise, I don't know
- 23:29Speaker 2: what they would do if they didn't have these two
- 23:32Speaker 2: women trying to keep it together and trying to keep
- 23:34Speaker 2: some semblance of a family. And then we have everybody
- 23:38Speaker 2: looking at like an aerial map of the property that Janelle,
- 23:42Speaker 2: Maddie and Caleb just by. I think it's like one
- 23:44Speaker 2: hundred and fifty four acres of completely raw, undeveloped land.
- 23:50Speaker 2: And this is Janelle's dream. She's always wanted a big
- 23:53Speaker 2: homestead and a big farm. Christine's like, no, thanks.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Raw land, No, absolutely not.
- 24:00Speaker 2: And they talk about what they want to do on
- 24:02Speaker 2: the land. They're obviously going to have a farm, but
- 24:06Speaker 2: they want to build like a memorial, like a memorial
- 24:09Speaker 2: garden I think for Garrison, which I thought was really
- 24:12Speaker 2: sweet me too, like a bunch of flowers and wildflowers
- 24:15Speaker 2: and stuff like that. And then they talk about building
- 24:18Speaker 2: bonfires and things like that because that's what Garrison liked
- 24:21Speaker 2: to do. So it was just nice to have them
- 24:24Speaker 2: continuing his memory like that and continue to talk about him.
- 24:28Speaker 2: I was worried that they were just gonna brush over
- 24:31Speaker 2: it or not discuss it.
- 24:33Speaker 1: At all, sappear him like they did for season nineteen. Yeah. Yeah,
- 24:37Speaker 1: I loved that. I loved the idea of Bob Boulevard,
- 24:40Speaker 1: which is the street that you pull into to get
- 24:42Speaker 1: into their acreage. I love the idea of having like
- 24:46Speaker 1: a big house for the family, and then cabins, you know,
- 24:50Speaker 1: and a farm and a place where you can have
- 24:52Speaker 1: just a huge fire pit, like it sounds really wonderful.
- 24:55Speaker 1: And it got me thinking because last year, and correct
- 25:00Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong, wasn't there like an issue with
- 25:02Speaker 1: the property, Like they wanted to plant out there, like
- 25:06Speaker 1: trees or something, but they weren't able to get a
- 25:08Speaker 1: permit for it or something. So they started growing some
- 25:11Speaker 1: trees or like a little orchard behind their current home,
- 25:14Speaker 1: Like what was that about?
- 25:14Speaker 2: I think so, I think they were having some permitting
- 25:16Speaker 2: issues with the farm specifically. I'm not really sure what
- 25:21Speaker 2: goes into all of that with the laws and stuff
- 25:23Speaker 2: are like in North Carolina, but yeah, I think they
- 25:26Speaker 2: were having issues, and so that's why they started growing
- 25:28Speaker 2: stuff in Maddie and Caleb's backyard. So I don't know
- 25:33Speaker 2: if we're going to get into more of that.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yeah, me neither. I hope that they can get those
- 25:37Speaker 1: permits issues that they can develop their dreamland.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be so terrible if they just like made
- 25:42Speaker 2: this huge purchase of all of this land and it's
- 25:45Speaker 2: filled with leprosy, like.
- 25:48Speaker 1: The product pod they cannot develop.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Just like I really they didn't do that.
- 25:53Speaker 1: I don't know. Maddie is such a smart cookie. I
- 25:55Speaker 1: feel like she would have looked into all of that
- 25:57Speaker 1: and made sure that they would be able to develop
- 25:59Speaker 1: it and subdivide it and do all the things they
- 26:00Speaker 1: would need to do.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Well, let's hope.
- 26:02Speaker 2: So. And then we bob on over to Cody and Goblin. Yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 2: and this is where they're talking about how it's just
- 26:10Speaker 2: them too, okay, Oh god, it's.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Just are we gonna be okay with all the money
- 26:14Speaker 1: and all of the resources.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I don't know if we're gonna make it. I'm so
- 26:18Speaker 2: tired of this. I don't know why we need this storyline, Like,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I don't care that you guys are monogamous. I don't
- 26:24Speaker 2: care that it's just due too well.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Because they need to paint themselves as victims. Yeah, and
- 26:29Speaker 1: they even say, like, we didn't choose to be monogamous
- 26:33Speaker 1: when Cody's exes left. That's how she refers to these
- 26:36Speaker 1: women that she spent all these years with. When Cody's
- 26:39Speaker 1: exes left, they made the choice for me. And so
- 26:43Speaker 1: now I'm just in the wreckage of this life with
- 26:45Speaker 1: all of the money and all of the resources and
- 26:47Speaker 1: this big ass house and it's really really sad for me.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, because my dream of living polygamy has died. Nobody cares.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I can't believe she is still doubling down on this.
- 26:58Speaker 1: I don't believe she wants Polica me. No, not at all.
- 27:01Speaker 2: It's not she never wanted it to begin with because
- 27:04Speaker 2: she couldn't live a polygamous lifestyle where it was fair
- 27:08Speaker 2: for everyone. She stole a man and stole the money
- 27:11Speaker 2: and stole all his time. It's ridiculous to me that
- 27:13Speaker 2: she's even saying this. But then we have Cody also
- 27:17Speaker 2: reminiscing about how magical Lehi was, and I feel like
- 27:22Speaker 2: there's some truth to them too. I don't know why
- 27:24Speaker 2: he can't just anchor to that and realize, like, oh,
- 27:27Speaker 2: I really want that back with my kids. Maybe I
- 27:30Speaker 2: should try and talk with them and try and reconcile.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Like to him, I think when he says I'm compartmentalizing
- 27:37Speaker 2: my emotions, I think he's compartmentalizing his relationships with his kids.
- 27:41Speaker 2: He doesn't care that he doesn't talk to any of
- 27:43Speaker 2: them because he has Robin's children and his children with her,
- 27:46Speaker 2: and that's all he needs.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Yeah, it's sad.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I think by compartmentalization. He's talking about just stuffing down
- 27:53Speaker 1: feelings into a place that he doesn't have to access
- 27:56Speaker 1: every single day, and into a place that he doesn't
- 27:58Speaker 1: have to feel them. Yeah, which I actually don't think
- 28:01Speaker 1: is very difficult for him, because I do think he's
- 28:03Speaker 1: a narcissist. Yeah, and I think he feels like he's
- 28:06Speaker 1: justified in everything that he's doing, which is unfortunate.
- 28:09Speaker 2: It's really unfortunate. And then we have Cody also saying
- 28:13Speaker 2: he has to be more accountable in monogamy than he
- 28:17Speaker 2: was in polygamy, and I'm.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Like, what are you talking about.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Well, what he's talking about is when he had multiple wives.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I mean, he had to do a little bit in
- 28:26Speaker 1: each house, but then he got to leave and go
- 28:29Speaker 1: to the next house, and so he never really had
- 28:31Speaker 1: to embed himself into a family every single day, get
- 28:35Speaker 1: the kids up for school or cooking something tonight, like
- 28:38Speaker 1: we're always spending time together. Like that was never his reality.
- 28:41Speaker 1: And so things have shifted and things have changed, but
- 28:45Speaker 1: he seems to be thriving in it.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah, he seems to be super happy.
- 28:48Speaker 1: So he's getting solemn and ready for school and he's
- 28:51Speaker 1: driving the kids to school, which he never did for
- 28:53Speaker 1: the other kids, if you recall. But I'm just thinking, like,
- 28:56Speaker 1: do you work? No, do you guys have a job?
- 29:00Speaker 1: Do you guys get to spend all this time together
- 29:02Speaker 1: being embedded in your family because neither of you actually
- 29:06Speaker 1: have a career, yeah, or have a job. And are
- 29:08Speaker 1: you thinking to yourself what we're thinking here on this podcast,
- 29:11Speaker 1: which is I don't know if we're going past season twenty. Yeah,
- 29:14Speaker 1: I don't know where your income is going to come from. Like,
- 29:17Speaker 1: are you planning for that? The answer is no, because
- 29:20Speaker 1: of course they go out and purchase a two point
- 29:21Speaker 1: one million dollar home that they're going to have to
- 29:23Speaker 1: pay for in perpetuity for the rest of their lives. Yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 1: I'm just like, what are you doing?
- 29:29Speaker 2: I literally don't know. I would be so fucking stressed
- 29:32Speaker 2: if I was Robin, I would not be able to sleep. No,
- 29:34Speaker 2: I'd be high on ambient and Xanax every single day
- 29:37Speaker 2: because I don't know. Like, because Robin's smart enough to
- 29:41Speaker 2: know where the money is going. I mean, she's spending
- 29:43Speaker 2: sixty thousand dollars on American Girl dollars and stuff like that,
- 29:46Speaker 2: Like she knows it's finite. So I think That's why
- 29:50Speaker 2: we see Cody at these like random gun shows where
- 29:53Speaker 2: people are spotting him, and like he's going on season
- 29:56Speaker 2: four of Special Forces because he's trying to go out
- 29:58Speaker 2: and make money because Robin's not gonna do shit. It's
- 30:01Speaker 2: not like she's going to go and get a job
- 30:03Speaker 2: at the local coffee shop or anything to try and
- 30:05Speaker 2: make ends meet or nothing. She's staying at home with
- 30:08Speaker 2: her dolls and just waiting and just enjoying what she
- 30:12Speaker 2: has until they end up, I don't.
- 30:14Speaker 1: Know, losing it all. I'm liquidating all of the American
- 30:17Speaker 1: girl dolls di keensiean village. Yeah, like something drastic is
- 30:22Speaker 1: going to happen.
- 30:23Speaker 2: I think. I don't know.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I'm just reading the writing on the wall and they're
- 30:26Speaker 1: just operating as if none of this is important to them.
- 30:30Speaker 1: And I think it's because they got thirty goddamn episodes, yeah,
- 30:34Speaker 1: for season nineteen, and they were probably paid twenty to
- 30:37Speaker 1: forty thousand dollars each for those episodes. So they're rolling
- 30:40Speaker 1: in it right now and they've rolled that into a
- 30:44Speaker 1: new house. But we again have a lawsuit from Christine.
- 30:47Speaker 1: She's going after money in arrears. I think she gets
- 30:51Speaker 1: three years in arrears and so she's I think she's
- 30:54Speaker 1: going to get a good chunk of money. I hope,
- 30:56Speaker 1: mister Cody Brown. I'm hoping she's going to be able
- 30:59Speaker 1: to own in the books and see where all of
- 31:01Speaker 1: that money has gone. But I'm just personally, I'm just like,
- 31:05Speaker 1: why are you guys living so comfortable?
- 31:07Speaker 3: I don't understand.
- 31:08Speaker 1: It's worrying, it's it's scary to me. It's also a
- 31:11Speaker 1: little delicious. I love it because they think the gravy
- 31:14Speaker 1: train is just going to keep on going, or do they.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Maybe that's why Cody did Special Forces. Maybe maybe he
- 31:21Speaker 1: knows that this is all going to end.
- 31:24Speaker 2: But even that was Special Forces. Like, we'll talk about
- 31:27Speaker 2: it and we get there. But I'm like, I don't
- 31:29Speaker 2: understand how that show is even making any money because
- 31:31Speaker 2: it's so boring. I don't know how much money they're making.
- 31:34Speaker 2: It can't be as much as Sister Wives.
- 31:37Speaker 3: Who knows.
- 31:37Speaker 1: I don't know who. It's not TLC, so TLC doesn't
- 31:40Speaker 1: pay Dick. I think it's Fox or whatever. So maybe
- 31:43Speaker 1: they're making me a little bit more money, but it's
- 31:45Speaker 1: not gonna be great money.
- 31:46Speaker 3: It can't be.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and then when we have Robin saying that the
- 31:50Speaker 2: exes chose.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Monogamy for her.
- 31:53Speaker 2: We bop on over to Mary and this is my
- 31:55Speaker 2: favorite thing that Mary said all episode, which was Mary saying,
- 31:59Speaker 2: I didn't choose monogamy for Robin.
- 32:01Speaker 3: I didn't choose this at all.
- 32:03Speaker 2: I chose me and my happiness because I'm not gonna
- 32:07Speaker 2: stay Mary in a miserable marriage just for Robin's sake,
- 32:11Speaker 2: so she can say that she lived polygamy. I'm like, yes, yes,
- 32:15Speaker 2: give me more.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Of this, Mary, Yes, because that was so great.
- 32:18Speaker 1: It was perfect.
- 32:20Speaker 3: And then we go on a date with Cody and Robin.
- 32:24Speaker 2: Where we have to be subjected to this talking about
- 32:29Speaker 2: how much they love each other and how they lick
- 32:31Speaker 2: each other and stuff and making sexy, flirty jokes. I'm like,
- 32:35Speaker 2: I don't care about you two as a couple at all,
- 32:39Speaker 2: Like I don't want to see you happy, I don't
- 32:41Speaker 2: want to see you in love.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Okay, So sidebar for a second, because this kind of
- 32:45Speaker 1: dovetails nicely into my absolute irtness over the title card
- 32:51Speaker 1: for the show. Yeah, Like, it's Cody and Robin in
- 32:54Speaker 1: the front, and then these three beautiful sister witches in
- 32:59Speaker 1: the back way far in the back, and I'm like,
- 33:02Speaker 1: what is production thinking? What are they doing? Are you
- 33:05Speaker 1: really going to try and platform or center these two
- 33:09Speaker 1: and their love story?
- 33:11Speaker 2: I told you was it last year or the year before?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Like, they're gonna do a vow renewal because Christine got
- 33:16Speaker 1: a huge wedding and a huge party and Robin probably
- 33:21Speaker 1: watched it all drunk with her ambient, all mad and jealous,
- 33:26Speaker 1: and so she's gonna want to have a vow renewal.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And so this weird flirting that they're doing and the
- 33:31Speaker 1: way she's always smiling at him, and oh, oh do
- 33:34Speaker 1: you make God, she's such a pig. I'm sick of it.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I'm already sick of it. And I feel like we
- 33:39Speaker 1: got a glimpse of this from Garrison's Memorial Weekend when
- 33:43Speaker 1: they're both on a horse, and like, I don't want
- 33:46Speaker 1: any of this production. I don't want to I don't
- 33:48Speaker 1: want any of it.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Oh my god, you make such a good point. I
- 33:51Speaker 2: forgot that we talked about the vow renil because you're
- 33:54Speaker 2: probably right, they are probably going to do a fucking
- 33:56Speaker 2: vow reynyl. We're gonna be subjected to that. Why I
- 33:59Speaker 2: don't want to stand. I really hope that doesn't happen,
- 34:02Speaker 2: because that would just be such a mistake to me
- 34:04Speaker 2: from productions team, Like I would rather sit through Mary
- 34:09Speaker 2: speed dating, which is turbo boring. And I would rather
- 34:12Speaker 2: watch like Janelle talk about her farm and Christina and David.
- 34:15Speaker 2: I would rather watch them make out for forty five minutes.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I would rather want that than see Cody and Robin
- 34:23Speaker 2: in any capacity. Like I just I don't understand why
- 34:25Speaker 2: they think we want to see them be happy in
- 34:29Speaker 2: and love. Everybody hates these two.
- 34:31Speaker 1: And it's so forced and inauthentic. They're like, yeah, it's
- 34:34Speaker 1: really important for us to go on these dates so
- 34:37Speaker 1: we can have some opportunity to talk blah blah blah.
- 34:41Speaker 1: And then they go to this restaurant where there are
- 34:43Speaker 1: no other patrons, there are no nobody else at any table.
- 34:46Speaker 1: They're eating like pieces of cheese and there's just water on.
- 34:49Speaker 1: So it's all fake.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like fake.
- 34:51Speaker 1: And they've talked beforehand about their talking points, which again
- 34:55Speaker 1: is gonna be polygamy versus monogamy and a pair currently
- 35:00Speaker 1: their sex life, I know, and we're getting into Cody
- 35:03Speaker 1: and his sexual appetites. I can't I'm like, you're a
- 35:07Speaker 1: fifty seven.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Year old man.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I don't know if you forgot about that. But I'm
- 35:10Speaker 1: well acquainted with an older gentleman, and they're not talking
- 35:13Speaker 1: about how they're interested in more sex and hot women.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And that's a generality or a stereotype. Typically older men
- 35:20Speaker 1: have varied interests. But sure, that's all Cody can talk about,
- 35:24Speaker 1: because it's all he cares about. I think, like I
- 35:27Speaker 1: just I couldn't even believe that. So when we're talking
- 35:29Speaker 1: about pulling me versus monogamy, we have this obligatory conversation
- 35:34Speaker 1: where Cody's like, are.
- 35:36Speaker 2: You gonna accept me as a monogamous?
- 35:38Speaker 3: Like do you want to live polygamy?
- 35:40Speaker 2: And rebins like, well, I mean when I was courting you, like,
- 35:44Speaker 2: I turned down many suitors because you know, I had
- 35:47Speaker 2: so many proposals, I had too many mans.
- 35:49Speaker 1: It's so important for them to say that for her.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I know, I had so many men begging to marry
- 35:56Speaker 2: me on their hands and knees.
- 35:57Speaker 1: Okay, it's so desiral, but.
- 36:00Speaker 2: I turned them all down because none of them wanted
- 36:03Speaker 2: to live polygamy. And she says, like, if Cody didn't
- 36:06Speaker 2: want to live polygamy, she would have turned him down.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Sure, Robin, the reason you associated with Cody was for
- 36:13Speaker 1: the celebrity and for the show. You would have done anything,
- 36:16Speaker 1: no matter what yeh to be with Cody.
- 36:20Speaker 2: And then Robin says again, like we haven't heard this
- 36:23Speaker 2: a million times.
- 36:24Speaker 3: If I had a.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Guarantee that everything would work out with the wives that
- 36:29Speaker 2: we would have and if they liked me first and foremost,
- 36:33Speaker 2: then I might consider polygamy again. But if I can't
- 36:36Speaker 2: get that guarantee, it's too scurry for me.
- 36:40Speaker 1: So stop it with this already, because life doesn't hand
- 36:44Speaker 1: out guarantees. That is not how life works. And as
- 36:48Speaker 1: a forty five year old woman, Robin, you already know that.
- 36:52Speaker 1: So this is your way of pretending that you're open
- 36:55Speaker 1: to polygamy while at the same time absolutely shutting polygamy down. Yep,
- 36:59Speaker 1: and monogamy. And this is what you always wanted, in
- 37:03Speaker 1: my opinion, you wanted to insert yourself into this family. Well,
- 37:06Speaker 1: maybe in the beginning she fancied herself a polygamist, but
- 37:10Speaker 1: within a couple two three years she was already changing
- 37:13Speaker 1: the dynamics in the family so that she would be
- 37:15Speaker 1: the head wife in charge and ultimately that she would
- 37:18Speaker 1: be the only wife. That is what you wanted, that
- 37:21Speaker 1: is what you concocted, and so please don't pretend that
- 37:24Speaker 1: you're still interested in polygamy. You guys don't even go
- 37:27Speaker 1: to church, not just the AUB, you don't even go
- 37:30Speaker 1: to the regular regular LDS. You guys are at home yeap, banging,
- 37:34Speaker 1: I guess, and licking each other, which we didn't need
- 37:38Speaker 1: to know about that, But I mean, does she have
- 37:40Speaker 1: what it takes to keep him interested and pay attention
- 37:45Speaker 1: to him? Like that's also important.
- 37:47Speaker 2: That was kind of interesting that she even brought it up,
- 37:50Speaker 2: because I think Cody says something like, you know, I
- 37:52Speaker 2: would only be interested in polygamy purely for the sex portion,
- 37:56Speaker 2: which is obviously not the right reason to be into polygamy,
- 37:59Speaker 2: so therefore I'm not into it. And then Robin's like, yeah,
- 38:02Speaker 2: I do wonder because he had a surplus of sex
- 38:06Speaker 2: when we had all the OG wives and now we
- 38:09Speaker 2: don't have them, so I'm not sure if I can
- 38:11Speaker 2: satisfy him or not. I'm just like, that's weird to say.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Well, she didn't say that, though, she said we never
- 38:17Speaker 1: had a problem in that department before, so I don't
- 38:19Speaker 1: know why you would think there'd be a problem now.
- 38:21Speaker 1: In other words, texts, We've always been fucking, so we're
- 38:24Speaker 1: gonna stay fucking. What are you worried about? I got you,
- 38:28Speaker 1: You're my number one customer.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I feel like the subtext there was like she is
- 38:32Speaker 2: kind of worried a little bit of being able to
- 38:35Speaker 2: satisfy him sexually. But then at the same time, we
- 38:38Speaker 2: already know that he wasn't banging Mary, he was barely
- 38:42Speaker 2: banging Christine. He was banging Janelle, I guess in Vegas.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But like, did he have that much.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Of a surplus of sex?
- 38:49Speaker 2: I don't think so. I think Robin was the primary
- 38:52Speaker 2: concubine exactly. Like that's it. And she does talk about that.
- 38:57Speaker 2: She says, if Cody's only interested in polygamy for sex,
- 39:01Speaker 2: then these women would just be concubines, which is obviously inappropriate,
- 39:05Speaker 2: and Cody would be a pig or she calls him
- 39:07Speaker 2: a pig for even talking about sex to begin with.
- 39:10Speaker 2: And I'm just like, I don't care. I don't want
- 39:13Speaker 2: to think about fifty seven year old man fucking and
- 39:17Speaker 2: wanting to fuck young hot women.
- 39:19Speaker 3: It's disgusting.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Predatory, Yeah, supertive, super disgusting.
- 39:24Speaker 2: I also don't want to think about Robin fucking no.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I just I don't want to think about it. We've
- 39:31Speaker 2: joked about it before in previous episodes of like Robin
- 39:34Speaker 2: totally pegging Cody and things like that. I'm sure that's
- 39:36Speaker 2: what's happened, but I just I just don't want to
- 39:40Speaker 2: think about it. Right right right, she's probably looking his ass.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Oh my god, Beatrice, don't say that.
- 39:47Speaker 2: It's so inappropriate. That's what I thought of, What are
- 39:49Speaker 2: you looking? Ew, it's six pack abs, Like what are
- 39:53Speaker 2: you looking? I don't know, you something.
- 39:58Speaker 1: She's looking something, and she's okay to lick it. That's
- 40:01Speaker 1: all I know. And I just wonder what changed, because
- 40:04Speaker 1: I thought Cody said he never wanted to talk about
- 40:07Speaker 1: sex on the show, like that was one topic that
- 40:09Speaker 1: they just never broached. But like now all of a sudden,
- 40:13Speaker 1: we're talking about sex and sexual appetites and how you
- 40:16Speaker 1: guys are have been having great sex, And like, I
- 40:18Speaker 1: don't know what changed, other than they're trying to launch
- 40:22Speaker 1: themselves as this passionate couple so that we'll be interested
- 40:26Speaker 1: in them and what they're doing and in a vovirinule
- 40:29Speaker 1: or something.
- 40:29Speaker 2: Maybe it's that, or maybe it's also to dig at
- 40:32Speaker 2: some of the og wives, like maybe especially Christine because
- 40:35Speaker 2: in her book, we know we've talked about it before,
- 40:38Speaker 2: Like she has some excerpts where she talks about her
- 40:42Speaker 2: and Cody's sex life and it's not very flattering to
- 40:46Speaker 2: Cody in the slightest. So maybe it's a dig to them, like, yeah,
- 40:51Speaker 2: you guys like you left me, but I'm banging Robins
- 40:54Speaker 2: back out the whole time. He also talks about his
- 40:57Speaker 2: relationships with the og wives and how things weren't an
- 41:01Speaker 2: issue until he was in Robin's bed, and that's what
- 41:05Speaker 2: he equates it too, And I'm like, yeah, that's part
- 41:09Speaker 2: of the issue. But the real issue is that you
- 41:11Speaker 2: favored her over everything else. It wasn't just that you
- 41:14Speaker 2: were fucking Robin. They would have been fine with that
- 41:17Speaker 2: if you were also fucking them.
- 41:20Speaker 1: Yeah. The problem is that you began to prefer her, Yeah,
- 41:24Speaker 1: and then neglect your wives and your children that were
- 41:27Speaker 1: established in the family. It's just so annoying that he
- 41:30Speaker 1: just and it's also so obviously you can't just you
- 41:33Speaker 1: can't just admit it. No, you can't just say it.
- 41:35Speaker 1: You can't just say you know what absolutely Robin is
- 41:38Speaker 1: my soulmate. I fell in love with her, and he
- 41:41Speaker 1: does get close to that last season. He says something
- 41:43Speaker 1: like that, I never knew what love was until I
- 41:47Speaker 1: met Robin, and then I was like, oh my god,
- 41:49Speaker 1: Like nothing can compare. And so maybe, yeah, at some
- 41:52Speaker 1: point I did start to spend more time at her
- 41:54Speaker 1: home or I did enjoy her company more than the
- 41:56Speaker 1: other women. Like that would be so easy to say,
- 42:00Speaker 1: and it would help us to kind of get where
- 42:03Speaker 1: you're coming from, But it's just so hard to take
- 42:06Speaker 1: any accountability. He's constantly deflecting, and he's constantly blaming everybody else,
- 42:11Speaker 1: and I'm just like, you're almost sixty years old. Is
- 42:14Speaker 1: this how you're going out? Yeah, with no self reflection,
- 42:17Speaker 1: no illumination, just suck.
- 42:20Speaker 3: He sucks.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Oh do you still suck?
- 42:22Speaker 3: Sucks so bad?
- 42:23Speaker 1: And when you know that, he goes to Special Forces again.
- 42:26Speaker 1: We're going to have a separate video for that. And
- 42:30Speaker 1: one of the main aspects of that program is to
- 42:33Speaker 1: kind of get into your psyche, get into your emotionality
- 42:37Speaker 1: and like, what are your triggers, what are your blocks, like,
- 42:39Speaker 1: what are your hurts inside of you? And they try
- 42:42Speaker 1: to use that and transform that to kind of pull
- 42:44Speaker 1: the strength out of you. So, like, if we presume
- 42:47Speaker 1: that Cody was in Special Forces for a period of
- 42:49Speaker 1: time and maybe experience some of that transformation, are you
- 42:54Speaker 1: then telling me, like, he comes home this summer and
- 42:57Speaker 1: he's still not talking to his children, he's still not
- 43:00Speaker 1: reaching out to anybody, He's still doing the same types
- 43:05Speaker 1: of behavior. Yeah, it's because he's incapable of change. I
- 43:08Speaker 1: believe he's incapable of learning, he's incapable of grace, he's
- 43:12Speaker 1: incapable of unconditional love for his children.
- 43:15Speaker 2: I think you're one hundred percent right, Like, there really
- 43:17Speaker 2: is no hope for him, and we've talked about it
- 43:19Speaker 2: in previous episodes, like maybe there could be a come
- 43:23Speaker 2: to Jesus moment for him eventually and he would realize
- 43:25Speaker 2: his wrongs, and like we talked about Garrison's death, like
- 43:28Speaker 2: maybe that would make him wake the fuck up and
- 43:31Speaker 2: realize that he was he's been treating everybody like shit.
- 43:36Speaker 2: But no, here we are.
- 43:38Speaker 1: He's doubling down.
- 43:39Speaker 2: He's doubling down on everything, and he even says something
- 43:42Speaker 2: like in this date with Robin, he would only choose
- 43:45Speaker 2: polygamy if the woman was an absolute diamond and adored
- 43:51Speaker 2: Robin one hundred percent. And it's like, this is the
- 43:53Speaker 2: thing you wanted the OG three to literally worship Robin
- 43:59Speaker 2: because because she was your diamond, she was your preferred wife.
- 44:03Speaker 2: But you can't just say that. So now it's I
- 44:07Speaker 2: would only pick polygamy again if the other wife bowed
- 44:11Speaker 2: down to Robin and loved her so much, loved her
- 44:13Speaker 2: as much as I do, then maybe I might consider it.
- 44:17Speaker 1: So you can really get a sense that that was
- 44:19Speaker 1: probably the pressure that Cody was putting on these other wives. Yeah,
- 44:24Speaker 1: and maybe that's why Mary felt like she had to
- 44:26Speaker 1: sidle up to Robin, because Robin's in the power position
- 44:29Speaker 1: because she's so close to Cody. And maybe that's why
- 44:32Speaker 1: we have Christine and Janelle getting so resentful because fuck no,
- 44:35Speaker 1: I'm not going to bow down to therapists, Robin. I
- 44:38Speaker 1: have no desire to do that. If you don't love
- 44:40Speaker 1: me for me, then what am I doing here? And
- 44:42Speaker 1: ultimately they leave yep, But that's why yep.
- 44:45Speaker 2: And he also brings up their honeymoon, Cody and Robin's honeymoon,
- 44:49Speaker 2: which I thought was interesting how Robin came into the
- 44:52Speaker 2: family and everybody seemed to be okay with her until
- 44:55Speaker 2: they went on their honeymoon, and then everything fell to
- 44:58Speaker 2: shit and it's like, yeah, because you took a lef
- 45:00Speaker 2: than day honey and nobody else got that kind of treatment,
- 45:03Speaker 2: and they realized, oh wow, right at the beginning that
- 45:07Speaker 2: you already favored Robin, but okay, like, let's just make
- 45:12Speaker 2: Robin the perpetual victim. And everybody just hated her because
- 45:15Speaker 2: you want to skirt around any kind of accountability for
- 45:18Speaker 2: your own behavior. It's just so it's exhaust frustrating, and
- 45:22Speaker 2: it's like we're only on episode one. I know we're
- 45:25Speaker 2: gonna have this and then we have an apology tour
- 45:27Speaker 2: that we're gonna have to sit through.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Well, can I ask you a question because I've actually
- 45:31Speaker 1: been wondering and I'd like to ask you guys too,
- 45:33Speaker 1: And if you're watching on YouTube, definitely drop in the
- 45:35Speaker 1: comments and let us know what you're thinking about, Like
- 45:37Speaker 1: why have we restarted Sister Wives so soon after the
- 45:43Speaker 1: conclusion of season nineteen, Like it feels like it's a
- 45:46Speaker 1: lot of the same content, we're talking about a lot
- 45:50Speaker 1: of the same things. It doesn't feel like we're here
- 45:53Speaker 1: necessarily to sew some of these issues up. It just
- 45:56Speaker 1: feels like we didn't need to be here right now.
- 45:59Speaker 1: We've get created until next spring. You guys could have
- 46:02Speaker 1: collected some better content. Yeah, we could have done it then.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I just don't know why.
- 46:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 46:08Speaker 2: It feels like to me, they're trying to end it.
- 46:11Speaker 2: So I feel like they're trying to rush it, get
- 46:14Speaker 2: the season.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Out and be done.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Yeah, because to me, I'm like, what are we going
- 46:18Speaker 2: to do after this? After Coyote Pass is settled and everything, Like,
- 46:21Speaker 2: what are we going to do? I'm not following Cody
- 46:24Speaker 2: and Robin around. I'd rather follow the og three on
- 46:28Speaker 2: their own spinoffs if they have multiple.
- 46:31Speaker 1: But even that's kind of If what we're getting is
- 46:34Speaker 1: a flower farm, a dating show, and Christine's Tuscan soup,
- 46:39Speaker 1: I'm just like I need more than that, though.
- 46:41Speaker 2: I agree, but I would rather watch that then Cody
- 46:44Speaker 2: and Robin talking about monogamy and licking each other like
- 46:47Speaker 2: nobody cares about that.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So that's interesting. You think that they rushed out season
- 46:52Speaker 1: twenty because production wants to conclude the franchise. I just
- 46:56Speaker 1: kind of can't see that. Because even though the ratings
- 47:00Speaker 1: started to decline substantially in season nineteen, there's still like
- 47:05Speaker 1: triple what The Valley got in terms of ratings. There
- 47:09Speaker 1: are still like more than Real Housewives franchises, Like, there's
- 47:13Speaker 1: still a lot of people watching Sister Wives. I don't
- 47:16Speaker 1: see them wanting to put this to bed because it's
- 47:19Speaker 1: probably still making TLC a lot of money. Are they
- 47:22Speaker 1: just like speed running as many episodes as they can
- 47:24Speaker 1: possibly produce? Maybe God like Lost, Yeah.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Maybe they're just gonna have a million seasons.
- 47:30Speaker 2: And it's just gonna go nowhere. Yeah. I kind of
- 47:33Speaker 2: feel like it's gonna be like it's gonna be either
- 47:35Speaker 2: that where we're gonna have Season infinity of Sister Wives.
- 47:39Speaker 3: It's just gonna go on until Cody.
- 47:40Speaker 1: Dies, or you're gonna be using a Ouiji board for
- 47:43Speaker 1: my commentary from the Afterlife because I'll be dead, bitch.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Forty years that I'll be dead. God, Seriously, though, it's
- 47:52Speaker 2: gonna be that, or we're ending at season twenty. To me,
- 47:56Speaker 2: season twenty would be the obvious like conclusion to the whole.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of people feel the same
- 48:02Speaker 2: way and like want this era to be done and
- 48:05Speaker 2: maybe we'll do some spinoffs and stuff. But I don't know.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Maybe you're right. Maybe TLC is like, no, we're gonna
- 48:11Speaker 2: milk this cash cow forever. You're gonna get a val renewal.
- 48:15Speaker 2: You're gonna see Cody and Robin in their new mcmnsion,
- 48:18Speaker 2: which I would love to see.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Yes, me too.
- 48:20Speaker 2: I hope we get to see that this season Probably won't,
- 48:22Speaker 2: but it would be really awesome if we could see
- 48:24Speaker 2: them by that two twelve million dollars.
- 48:26Speaker 1: In the preview where Cody's saying he got a letter
- 48:29Speaker 1: from a woman who wants to join his family. They're
- 48:31Speaker 1: in the new mc mansion.
- 48:32Speaker 2: It looks like it right.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Hopefully we'll get to see around the place.
- 48:36Speaker 3: Damn, I would love to see it. Be so great.
- 48:38Speaker 2: But yeah, So we get to the preview, we have
- 48:40Speaker 2: Cody saying he's getting all these emails from these women
- 48:43Speaker 2: who really want to marry him and be him. No
- 48:47Speaker 2: one wants to marry a fifty seven year old man.
- 48:50Speaker 2: And then we have Cody and David going like car
- 48:54Speaker 2: racing after Christine's like they would never hang out. Make
- 48:59Speaker 2: it make sa I don't understand. And we have Janelle
- 49:03Speaker 2: saying she's decided on doing the spiritual release, which is
- 49:06Speaker 2: really great, so I can't wait to see that. And
- 49:09Speaker 2: then we have someone who has expressed interest in buying
- 49:13Speaker 2: parts of Coyote Pass because there's four parcels. But Mary
- 49:17Speaker 2: doesn't want any of the money to go into Cody's hands,
- 49:20Speaker 2: which I'm like, yes, Queen Robin with her hard jaw,
- 49:25Speaker 2: doesn't want to sell the land until it's completely fair,
- 49:30Speaker 2: and this pisses me off because I'm like, you have
- 49:33Speaker 2: the audacity to see that you want it to be
- 49:36Speaker 2: fair for you. You don't deserve shit.
- 49:40Speaker 1: I think she's trying to say that she wants it
- 49:45Speaker 1: to be split equally between the four of them, and
- 49:47Speaker 1: it's Cody that might not want to do that, but
- 49:50Speaker 1: she's the one perfect Robin that is insisting that they
- 49:55Speaker 1: split it fairly. I think that's how it's I think
- 49:57Speaker 1: that's how it's going to come down.
- 49:59Speaker 2: You probably write a that. And then we have the
- 50:01Speaker 2: standoff at Coyote Pass with Mary, Janelle, Cody, and Robin,
- 50:05Speaker 2: where they're presumably talking about how to sell it or
- 50:09Speaker 2: how to divide it. Cody says he wants healing with everybody,
- 50:14Speaker 2: and this is where he goes on his apology tour
- 50:16Speaker 2: with his weird go tee. He looks super weird shaved
- 50:20Speaker 2: down like that with the go tea and his Skullet's
- 50:22Speaker 2: bizarre to me. And then Cody says Robin would never
- 50:27Speaker 2: let him do anything naughty even though he really really
- 50:30Speaker 2: wants to.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Which is probably taking more than his fair share. Yeah,
- 50:35Speaker 1: according to the agreement.
- 50:37Speaker 2: So gotta love it. Yeah, can't wait.
- 50:39Speaker 1: I can see this season wrapping up by Christmas, which
- 50:42Speaker 1: I think is the way they would normally do it, right,
- 50:45Speaker 1: We launch in August or September, and we close the
- 50:47Speaker 1: season around Christmas or the New Year. So I'm thinking
- 50:50Speaker 1: maybe that's what we're going to have this this year.
- 50:52Speaker 1: We're not going to go all the way to June.
- 50:54Speaker 1: I hope not to June like we did last time.
- 50:56Speaker 1: We did have a little break, but it was a
- 50:58Speaker 1: long season, be it dressed. Hopefully we won't have that
- 51:01Speaker 1: with season twenty. Yeah, but I'm excited me too.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I'm glad we're back.
- 51:06Speaker 1: Yeah, we're in the vibe of things. Yes, we do
- 51:08Speaker 1: love our sister wives, we do.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Well.
- 51:10Speaker 1: Is there anything else that we want to say to
- 51:12Speaker 1: these beautiful raccoons before we get up on Ada here?

- 51:38Speaker 1: for that, And then tomorrow we are going to be
- 51:42Speaker 1: issuing a pod and a video on Welcome to Plathfill,
- 51:45Speaker 1: the penultimate episode, second to last, and then we're going
- 51:48Speaker 1: to be back like probably Monday of next week for
- 51:52Speaker 1: videos in general pod with the conclusion of Welcome to Plothfill,
- 51:56Speaker 1: which actually airs tonight and I cannot wait. This whole
- 51:59Speaker 1: season has been firebit, so we're gonna be back. We're
