Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: All right, all right, yeah, yeah, Dominorio from Philly. It's
- 0:09Speaker 1: a kind of special edition of the Pauli and Tony
- 0:12Speaker 1: Foolsco Show. Yo, yo, y'all has always Pauling Foolsco here
- 0:19Speaker 1: with Tony Foolsco and Dony. You know, most sports talk
- 0:23Speaker 1: radio hosts they have such miserable lives they have to
- 0:26Speaker 1: work through the holidays, not us. How pathetic for them. Yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 1: you know, we told that to the suits at Fox
- 0:34Speaker 1: Sports Radio. But you know, because they're getting such huge
- 0:37Speaker 1: numbers on our show here, they begged us to do
- 0:40Speaker 1: a show this week, begged us. It was pathetic, yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 1: and you know we said no, And then they came
- 0:48Speaker 1: back and said, well, how about you do a best
- 0:50Speaker 1: of show with the best of moments from all the
- 0:54Speaker 1: famous guests, the so called famous guests you know you've
- 0:57Speaker 1: had on this show. And we said, how is that best?
- 1:03Speaker 1: The guests are the worst part of the show. Yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 1: the best part is when we're talking. There are no
- 1:10Speaker 1: other good parts. Yeah. And if that's the terrible programming
- 1:13Speaker 1: decision that the suits want to make over at Fox
- 1:17Speaker 1: Sports Radio, then uh, we're gonna give it throm and you.
- 1:20Speaker 1: So this is the worst of the Folly and Tony
- 1:23Speaker 1: Fosco low lights from all the blow had guests we've
- 1:27Speaker 1: had on the show, and you know, you and all
- 1:30Speaker 1: our loyal listeners out there, you know, the millions of you.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You know you've heard these clips already, but you know
- 1:35Speaker 1: they're so bad that, yeah, you're gonna want to hear
- 1:38Speaker 1: him again. Yeah. That way we get add money without
- 1:42Speaker 1: us having to lift a finger. Great point, Tony. See
- 1:45Speaker 1: that's how it's done in the business. People take note.
- 1:48Speaker 1: That's why we've been so successful all these years. Anyway,
- 1:51Speaker 1: coming up some terrible interviews and also one sports trivia
- 1:55Speaker 1: battle that totally went off the rails because I guess
- 1:58Speaker 1: couldn't handle it. You're gonna hear that one at the end. See,
- 2:02Speaker 1: that's called the Thieves people. That's that's gonna keep you
- 2:04Speaker 1: stuck here until the end. Yeah, you're not going anywhere. Yeah,
- 2:08Speaker 1: But before we get into all of this, we did
- 2:11Speaker 1: go ahead and sell some more ad time in the
- 2:13Speaker 1: show so we can make even more money off of this.
- 2:16Speaker 1: So right now we're gonna do a quick sponsor read
- 2:19Speaker 1: for our good friends at Hungry Man. Are you getting
- 2:23Speaker 1: together with your family for Thanksgiving? Well, why the hell
- 2:26Speaker 1: you're doing that. Yeah, just go get some hungry Man
- 2:30Speaker 1: TV dinners and tell your family thanks, but no thanks
- 2:34Speaker 1: hungry man, because you can't stomach your family, but you
- 2:38Speaker 1: can stomach a hungry man. Yeah. All right, now that
- 2:42Speaker 1: that's out of the way, all right, let's get into
- 2:44Speaker 1: the show here. First up, one of the most terrible
- 2:47Speaker 1: bookings ever, probably the worst, Tony. This was before the
- 2:51Speaker 1: Bucks Chiefs Super Bowl a couple of years back, which
- 2:54Speaker 1: is horrible game. Yeah, we don't want to remember. Nobody
- 2:56Speaker 1: wants to remember terrible game. Anyway. There are thousands of
- 3:00Speaker 1: guests you can book every year for the Super Bowl
- 3:02Speaker 1: and Super Bowl week leading up to it, you know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but our book a went ahead and booked the absolutely
- 3:09Speaker 1: wrong one. Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickason. Don't
- 3:14Speaker 1: remind me anyway. We cut this interview down so you
- 3:18Speaker 1: don't have to suffer through all of it. But here's
- 3:20Speaker 1: the worst parts. Go ahead and play it all right,
- 3:26Speaker 1: here we go. Our guest is Hall of Fame running
- 3:28Speaker 1: back you know, played for the Rams and the Colts.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Six time Pro Bowl uh you know, still holds the
- 3:34Speaker 1: NFL single season rushing record, you know, which he's set
- 3:37Speaker 1: in you know running for decent right five yards. But
- 3:44Speaker 1: of course, as you all know, he never appeared in
- 3:47Speaker 1: the Super Bowl, so it would have been better if
- 3:49Speaker 1: he had come on the show, you know, some other time.
- 3:51Speaker 1: But anyway, here we are Eric Dickason. Welcome to the show. Welcome,
- 3:56Speaker 1: Mr Dickason. Thank you that that intro. Thank you. I
- 4:01Speaker 1: appreciate it. Well, maybe you'll like this tool because you know,
- 4:03Speaker 1: we like to give our guests professional advice as we
- 4:07Speaker 1: throw our professionals in the business. How come you haven't
- 4:10Speaker 1: done any ads for you know, Penis pills. Your initials
- 4:12Speaker 1: are E D. Your last name has the word get it.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It seems like a natural fit. Well, I guess they
- 4:21Speaker 1: paid me enough money to do it. I guess it
- 4:23Speaker 1: would be more like it. But I'm glad you picked
- 4:25Speaker 1: up on that. Yeah, you know, we just hate to
- 4:27Speaker 1: see you leave money on the table like that, you
- 4:30Speaker 1: know exactly, you know, call your agent after you hang
- 4:33Speaker 1: up with us here. All right, now, look, you know
- 4:34Speaker 1: we mentioned it in your intro. Let's just let's just
- 4:37Speaker 1: get it out of the way. You never played in
- 4:39Speaker 1: the super Bowl, never even really sniffed the Super Bowl.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Help us out a little here. What can you tell
- 4:45Speaker 1: us about playing in a big game when you never
- 4:47Speaker 1: actually played in a big game. Well, you know, I
- 4:51Speaker 1: think it's more than playing the Super Bowl and you
- 4:52Speaker 1: play football. I mean, that's a team sport and it's
- 4:55Speaker 1: not just about one guy trying to play in the
- 4:56Speaker 1: super Bowl. But right now, look, there are a lot
- 4:59Speaker 1: of people out there who think running backs don't help
- 5:02Speaker 1: teams win Super Bowls, that they actually keep teams from
- 5:06Speaker 1: winning Super Bowls. Do you subscribe to that idea? And also,
- 5:11Speaker 1: do you feel kind of guilty that you cost the
- 5:14Speaker 1: Rams three or four Super Bowl appearances? You so ridiculous, man,
- 5:19Speaker 1: Absolutely not. First of all, I thought that was a
- 5:22Speaker 1: great question. Uh without the running game, that you couldn't
- 5:27Speaker 1: even make it to the super Bowl. You have to
- 5:28Speaker 1: have a running game. I could tell you guys to
- 5:30Speaker 1: know it all. I mean, you're the guy Tea. I'm
- 5:33Speaker 1: gonna make that, kids, I'm gonna that hole, no question,
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah a through that hole. You couldn't have made that. Kids,
- 5:41Speaker 1: you don't read our scouting report from middle school. Wait
- 5:44Speaker 1: until you'll see You'll you'll change your mind. Now, look,
- 5:47Speaker 1: we all know you broke O. J. Simpson's rushing record.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know, were you ever afraid that o J might
- 5:53Speaker 1: come after you for that, you know, as payback. Uh.
- 5:57Speaker 1: I have to say, no, I was never worried about
- 5:59Speaker 1: o J after me. But you know what OJ man
- 6:01Speaker 1: to come after you, guys, I'll tell you that. How
- 6:03Speaker 1: about that? Would you be afraid about Jay? No? I
- 6:06Speaker 1: could outrun o J easy even in his prime. You know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: don't you think that o J he might be angry
- 6:12Speaker 1: because he only got fourteen games, and you know you
- 6:16Speaker 1: broke the record in fifteen games, you know, which might
- 6:19Speaker 1: upset a madman like that. Well, I give you credit.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You did do your homework on that. I give you
- 6:24Speaker 1: credit on next. I always say that too, so so
- 6:26Speaker 1: you so so you You sound like you're talking a
- 6:28Speaker 1: little bit more sense right now. You're right. O J
- 6:30Speaker 1: didn't fourteen. I didn't fifteen. He had and one extra
- 6:32Speaker 1: game to go. So I always give him that. That
- 6:34Speaker 1: homis because that was my favorite player. Oh he was?
- 6:37Speaker 1: He was your favorite player? O J is my favorite player? Yes?
- 6:40Speaker 1: And does he still do? Does he still hold that
- 6:42Speaker 1: high regard in your in your estimation there? I still
- 6:46Speaker 1: like o J. I mean I played golf with OJ,
- 6:48Speaker 1: you know, about six months ago. I mean I still
- 6:50Speaker 1: like it. Oh yeah, you know, hey, okay, how that
- 6:53Speaker 1: you know? Do you do? Come on? You know? Yeah?
- 6:57Speaker 1: You know when you're out there playing golf with o J,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you know, do you ever bring it up? You know,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you want to win a hole? You know, as he's
- 7:04Speaker 1: lining up a puck there, do you say, hey, oh J,
- 7:06Speaker 1: I remember what happened in J. You don't bring it up,
- 7:11Speaker 1: and so you know we're cool like that. I just
- 7:13Speaker 1: don't bring that up just in case. You know, I
- 7:15Speaker 1: don't want to make that uncomfortable. Well, that's why you're
- 7:18Speaker 1: not in journalism like us. You know, you gotta ask
- 7:20Speaker 1: the hard Hey, hey, oh J, does that? Does that?
- 7:22Speaker 1: Golf and glove fit? Oh J? And then he misses
- 7:25Speaker 1: the putt. You gotta get in his hand number. You
- 7:28Speaker 1: can call him and tell him that we'll take a
- 7:31Speaker 1: rain check car. Yeah, I didn't think. So that's that's
- 7:36Speaker 1: who's the greatest running back of all time? Come on
- 7:38Speaker 1: tell me this. My opinion, the person does not exist
- 7:42Speaker 1: because everyone has guys that they like. Everyone has a
- 7:45Speaker 1: person they like. They're like, they're like, oh J, You're
- 7:48Speaker 1: like Jim Brown, You're like Barry Sanders. Youmight like Eric Dion,
- 7:50Speaker 1: like Garl Campbell. So how do you say who's the
- 7:53Speaker 1: greatest because everyone has the guys they like. Terrible boy, answer,
- 7:57Speaker 1: educate this man, Tony. Now we know why you had
- 8:00Speaker 1: to wear goggles because you can't see Lyshawn McCoy. McCoy
- 8:07Speaker 1: is the greatest. McCoy two super Bowl appearances, that's what matters.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You're just jealous because you don't have the super Bowl
- 8:17Speaker 1: appearance again. So so y'all, just y'all, y'all, Eagle Booty, Well,
- 8:23Speaker 1: you're gonna be like in the back of the show
- 8:26Speaker 1: because guess what, e d You're not getting an erection,
- 8:30Speaker 1: You're getting an objection because you're off the show. You're
- 8:38Speaker 1: non super Bowl for you, including on this show. Why
- 8:49Speaker 1: are we doing this? Don't he I don't even want
- 8:50Speaker 1: to listen to this. I really don't know. It's horrible. Unfortunately,
- 8:55Speaker 1: it's about to get worse. Uh. You know, this next
- 8:57Speaker 1: guy is probably the worst guest you've ever had. Former
- 9:01Speaker 1: Golden State Warriors sent to Andrew Bogan. I know it.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The Warriors they not only ruined basketball, but this clown
- 9:08Speaker 1: tried to ruin our show. He did you know? He's
- 9:10Speaker 1: from Australia and I don't know if it's the accent
- 9:13Speaker 1: they got down there or the Australian Internet is just terrible.
- 9:17Speaker 1: But I couldn't make heads of tales of anything this
- 9:20Speaker 1: guy said. I still have no idea what he said
- 9:23Speaker 1: to this day. Well, you know, we'll play it for you,
- 9:25Speaker 1: the audience out there, and you'll see if you can
- 9:28Speaker 1: figure it out. Go ahead, play that clip. Alright, I
- 9:34Speaker 1: guess today you know, one of the great centers and
- 9:37Speaker 1: two point shooters the last twenty years, Nay Smith college
- 9:40Speaker 1: player of the Year at Utah, number one overall, pick
- 9:43Speaker 1: two thousand five to the Bucks was just tremendous. Then
- 9:46Speaker 1: of course he goes to the Warriors and well you'll know,
- 9:49Speaker 1: the story takes a turn for the worst there. We'll
- 9:51Speaker 1: get into that with them, but first, Andrew Bogut, welcome
- 9:55Speaker 1: to the show. Are you going doing well? Yeah? You know,
- 10:00Speaker 1: before we get into the Warriors, riggormerole, they nobody's probably
- 10:04Speaker 1: ever asked you this before. But how the hell does
- 10:07Speaker 1: in Australian become a basketball player? When you told your
- 10:10Speaker 1: parents you wanted to play basketball, weren't they like, you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: what the is basketball? I've just done a wrong spot.
- 10:17Speaker 1: One day and ended up Uah. One of those things. Uh,
- 10:22Speaker 1: maybe it's the accent or something, but I have no
- 10:25Speaker 1: idea what you just said, something about the University of
- 10:27Speaker 1: Utah or something. Anyway, Tony has something on that subject,
- 10:31Speaker 1: the great seventies sixer right now, he's the best player
- 10:34Speaker 1: in the NBA. Ben Simmons. He grew up in Australia,
- 10:38Speaker 1: but when you hear him talk, he doesn't sound anything
- 10:41Speaker 1: like Yo. He sounds like he grew up in Ohio.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Do you ever consider trying to talk like a normal
- 10:47Speaker 1: NBA player, you know, so that your teammates maybe Do
- 10:51Speaker 1: you wish that you would have done that so they
- 10:52Speaker 1: could understand you better? Oh, you're right there. I definitely
- 10:56Speaker 1: had some issues with understanding what the hell about media?
- 11:01Speaker 1: And that's that's a good thing because I could sometimes
- 11:04Speaker 1: get some things out and no one had any idea
- 11:07Speaker 1: what the hello thing? Tony? You're getting the word of this?
- 11:11Speaker 1: I can't understand the thing. Yeah, there's there's there's pros
- 11:14Speaker 1: and cons of the old act kind of like you know,
- 11:16Speaker 1: you're act. I mean that sounds like absolute rubbish. Um,
- 11:20Speaker 1: excuse me, you know what rubbish? What? What? Oh? You
- 11:28Speaker 1: want to come back we're getting off. You know, I
- 11:30Speaker 1: got to be honest, We've been doing this interview two minutes.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I haven't understood of the word you've said so far.
- 11:35Speaker 1: There you go. You know, I know what's going on.
- 11:38Speaker 1: What you're doing, Bogan, is you're trying to distract the conversation,
- 11:42Speaker 1: trying to deflect. That's that's not good. So let's get
- 11:45Speaker 1: to the met while you brought away where you brought
- 11:47Speaker 1: you here. Look, we're gonna be a little sensitive toward
- 11:50Speaker 1: you because I'm sure it was a tough break for you.
- 11:52Speaker 1: You were a number one big man in Milwaukee, right,
- 11:55Speaker 1: averaging sixteen a game. Then you go to Golden State
- 11:58Speaker 1: and they cut your points in half even a third.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Didn't you look around and think, hey, I'm seven ft tall?
- 12:04Speaker 1: What the is going on here? They keep passing the
- 12:06Speaker 1: ball to that little person in the corner. Yeah, it
- 12:09Speaker 1: was a little frustrating at times. Um, but at the
- 12:12Speaker 1: end of the day, I had a nice jewelry sitting
- 12:14Speaker 1: on my finger at the end of that journey, so
- 12:16Speaker 1: it all kind of worked out. You know, you talk
- 12:18Speaker 1: about that ring you have, don't you think it's a
- 12:20Speaker 1: little tainted because yeah, you won a championship. But you know,
- 12:24Speaker 1: the Warriors and you you ruin the basketball as we
- 12:26Speaker 1: know it with all this three point shooting. Doesn't that
- 12:29Speaker 1: kind of take it down a peg for you? A
- 12:31Speaker 1: little bit? Almost ruined the big man. They ruined guys
- 12:34Speaker 1: like yeah, yeah, but you know, sometimes you get to
- 12:38Speaker 1: take the the cons with the pros. And the day
- 12:42Speaker 1: I got out just in time. You know the demand
- 12:44Speaker 1: of the big man. He's there and you guys have
- 12:47Speaker 1: Joel Embiad and Philly though, so you never know that
- 12:49Speaker 1: could work out? Well, what do you mean? It is working?
- 12:53Speaker 1: And that's because Joel Embiid said to his teammates, he said,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I'm seven ft tall. You're gonna do what I say?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Why don't you say that? The stuff like listen, you
- 13:02Speaker 1: little give me the ball? Why don't you say that?
- 13:06Speaker 1: I said something along those lines that um all I
- 13:09Speaker 1: got in response was was lost from the point. So
- 13:12Speaker 1: I kind of kind of figured the differing silence off
- 13:14Speaker 1: and I mentioned that was enough for me to move
- 13:17Speaker 1: on from that. Oh, so were they were? They? Were
- 13:20Speaker 1: you scared of them? What were what? You're scared of
- 13:22Speaker 1: the little people there? A little bit? You know, there's
- 13:25Speaker 1: little people that can keep you in the ankles. You know,
- 13:27Speaker 1: it hurts like health. You gotta be careful. But yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: I figured that, Um, the guys making the big bucks
- 13:32Speaker 1: would probably put me on a plane and send me
- 13:34Speaker 1: out a climate city or Detroit or something if I'm
- 13:36Speaker 1: not careful, So I keep my mouth shut a little bit.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Well really for that matter, I mean, imagine if Philly
- 13:42Speaker 1: back then it was it was a horrible time in
- 13:44Speaker 1: Uh remember the old tank that you guys wrote for
- 13:47Speaker 1: about fix straight years. Uh, you know, we trust that process.
- 13:52Speaker 1: That's what we did. We trust, we were We trusted
- 13:54Speaker 1: the two. It was called shooting the two, sticking. That
- 13:58Speaker 1: was what the process was, you know, picking with the
- 14:00Speaker 1: fundamentals instead of ruining the game. So we're gonna give
- 14:05Speaker 1: you an opportunity right now. You say it right here.
- 14:09Speaker 1: This will help cleanse the air for you. Okay, you
- 14:11Speaker 1: say repeat after me. You say I hate Steph Curry
- 14:14Speaker 1: for ruining the NBA, and I hereby do solemnly swear
- 14:18Speaker 1: to renounce the championship that I helped him win. Go
- 14:22Speaker 1: ahead say it, Well, I remember, I'm just more shocked.
- 14:33Speaker 1: You guess what this interview, This interview is bogus because
- 14:41Speaker 1: you're so terrible. We're kicking your grass out the show.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It's just like Steph, We're sending you to the dial tone,
- 14:53Speaker 1: just a bunch of absolute up the line, unbelievable. Is
- 14:58Speaker 1: he up the line again? Tony? You know, I'm questioning
- 15:04Speaker 1: our decision to do this show. These interviews are so terrible.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We should have just burned them all. Yeah, I'm having
- 15:10Speaker 1: horrible nightmare flashbacks right now. Well, Tony, this one, you know,
- 15:14Speaker 1: is a better memory for you, that's why we're gonna
- 15:16Speaker 1: toss it in here now. But not such a good
- 15:19Speaker 1: memory for our guest. You know, you might remember the
- 15:22Speaker 1: former ESPN Sports trivia show Stumped the Swab, where the
- 15:27Speaker 1: idea Remember the idea, You know that contestants had to
- 15:30Speaker 1: beat so called sports trivia guru in quotes Howie Schwab
- 15:35Speaker 1: at a game of trivia. Now, the show was canceled
- 15:39Speaker 1: before Tony had a chance to go on it. But uh,
- 15:42Speaker 1: we all know he would have absolutely crushed Howie. It
- 15:46Speaker 1: wouldn't have been close. Yeah. Well, we didn't let that
- 15:49Speaker 1: mind effect that the show got canceled get in the
- 15:52Speaker 1: way of that plan. So we invited Howie to come
- 15:57Speaker 1: on the show and face Tony in a trivi be
- 16:00Speaker 1: a showdown, and well, we don't want to give too
- 16:03Speaker 1: much away here, Tony. Do we know now we don't
- 16:06Speaker 1: just let the people listen. Yeah, but yeah, let's just
- 16:08Speaker 1: say how we did not come off so well? All right,
- 16:16Speaker 1: our guest is known, you know, for some reason as
- 16:18Speaker 1: the Sultan of Sports Trivia former ESPN personality. Started out
- 16:23Speaker 1: there as a researcher producer, then he became the star
- 16:27Speaker 1: of the sports trivia game show. They're called Stump the Schwab. Anyway,
- 16:31Speaker 1: let's get him on here. How we schwab Welcome to
- 16:34Speaker 1: the show. Yeah, for some reason they called me that.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You're right, I agree, that's what we're saying to know
- 16:40Speaker 1: who who who came up with that? You give that
- 16:42Speaker 1: nickname to yourself? Where that comes? Froll? Hell no, no, alright, alright,
- 16:47Speaker 1: I know some of the ESPN came up with that.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I guess that's why we want to know. And you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: I asked this respectfully, how the hell did they give
- 16:56Speaker 1: you a show? Uh? They gave me a show because
- 17:00Speaker 1: is uh someone was drunk. I mean, let's be honest.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Oh well, that does kind of explain a lot of
- 17:06Speaker 1: decisions at that network. Let's get to the real reason
- 17:11Speaker 1: we brought you here. You know, we have that nickname
- 17:13Speaker 1: the Sault in the sports trivia. But we want Tony
- 17:16Speaker 1: here to challenge you for the title, you know, w
- 17:19Speaker 1: w WE style. So we're gonna play a game. We're
- 17:22Speaker 1: gonna pit you against Tony, all right, and I'm gonna
- 17:24Speaker 1: ask h you some randomly selected questions. Well one way
- 17:29Speaker 1: way way a second here, if we're doing this, I
- 17:33Speaker 1: think Tony is more like Baron mckel's Secluna who or
- 17:37Speaker 1: maybe or maybe Renee Gooule and I'll be Sammartino. You're
- 17:42Speaker 1: going to the classic Wrestlers. That's right exactly. I was
- 17:46Speaker 1: gonna go with Ivan put so we can go back
- 17:48Speaker 1: to Randy Savage and we can go back to Ultimate
- 17:52Speaker 1: is a showdown? Will be Andre? Let's go all right,
- 17:55Speaker 1: well here you go. Here's how it's gonna Are you
- 17:57Speaker 1: telling me I'm that heavy? Come on? No, big guy,
- 18:00Speaker 1: big personality, legend, legend, Princess Brian all right, maybe, who knows.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Here's how it's gonna work. The first to get three
- 18:10Speaker 1: correct answers wins the title. You got that, both of
- 18:13Speaker 1: you there? All right, Tony, We're gonna stan. Alright, now
- 18:18Speaker 1: we're enough talking you. You delay in here because I
- 18:20Speaker 1: know you're nervous. Alright, Hey, look, you both know the rules.
- 18:24Speaker 1: So it's time for the Sultan of Sports Trivia Showdown. Yeah,
- 18:33Speaker 1: that's what we call it. The Business sound effects. Welcome
- 18:36Speaker 1: to the thunder Dong. First question of Tony. Ready, Tony, here,
- 18:40Speaker 1: this one's for your Before Nick Foles led the Eagles
- 18:45Speaker 1: to a triumphant victory in the Super Bowl, who was
- 18:48Speaker 1: the last Eagles quarterback to lead his team to an
- 18:51Speaker 1: appearance in the Super Bowl? You know that question is
- 18:56Speaker 1: easy for me. The answer is number McNab. What are
- 19:04Speaker 1: you doing there? How are we? That question is not
- 19:06Speaker 1: for you. Stop trying to show off. Correct Donovan McNabb. Alright,
- 19:10Speaker 1: how one point for me? Yeah? That one point for Tony?
- 19:13Speaker 1: All right, howe, this one's for you. In the same ballpark.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We all know Donovan McNabb was the second overall pick
- 19:20Speaker 1: in the NFL Draft, But which player was drafted by
- 19:24Speaker 1: the Eagles in the seventh round of the same draft
- 19:28Speaker 1: with the two h eighth overall pick again? Find you
- 19:38Speaker 1: These are randomly selected questions. Wow, you know it's funny
- 19:43Speaker 1: because I knew the one in the sixth round, listen
- 19:47Speaker 1: to him to a try and qualify it. Come on,
- 19:50Speaker 1: we asked, that's a good one. Uh seventh round, Let's see,
- 19:56Speaker 1: we're gonna need to set a time here, you know,
- 19:59Speaker 1: only two many minutes here ring about five seconds? How
- 20:06Speaker 1: time limit match? I get it. I can't even do that. Well,
- 20:13Speaker 1: you can stop with the excuses because your time's up, Tony.
- 20:17Speaker 1: You know this won't count toward your point total, But
- 20:21Speaker 1: just out of curiosity, can you answer this one? You know?
- 20:25Speaker 1: I think I can jed, we've tight end out of
- 20:29Speaker 1: or again good practice squad. Alright, alright, well that's so
- 20:34Speaker 1: so at the younger round one it's Tony one, Howie zero. Alright, Tony,
- 20:38Speaker 1: this one's for you. When the Eagles made their first
- 20:41Speaker 1: appearance in the Super Bowl back in which player who
- 20:45Speaker 1: became an ESPN personality too was the quarterback. You know,
- 20:50Speaker 1: once again, how he please? One is easy. Think this
- 20:54Speaker 1: one's easy for me. Maybe not a lot of you
- 20:57Speaker 1: out there don't know it, like how Awie, But it's
- 21:01Speaker 1: Ron Joe Warski. You are correct, very good, Tony. That's
- 21:05Speaker 1: two points for you, all right, Howie, Now to you
- 21:08Speaker 1: not to you same ballpark. When Ron Jaworski made his
- 21:13Speaker 1: first start for the Eagles back in Week one of
- 21:16Speaker 1: the nineteen seventies seven season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,
- 21:19Speaker 1: who caught his very first touchdown pass. I'm gonna guess,
- 21:27Speaker 1: Vince Papali, but I'll be wrong. Well, then you're right
- 21:30Speaker 1: about being wrong, because you're wrong, Tony. You know this
- 21:35Speaker 1: won't count toward your point total, But just out of curiosity,
- 21:39Speaker 1: do you know the answer to this one? Of course?
- 21:42Speaker 1: Who can forget touched down? Tommy Sullivan? There you go.
- 21:47Speaker 1: It was Tommy Sullivan, the running back, and how we
- 21:50Speaker 1: kind of disappointed he didn't get that one year down
- 21:53Speaker 1: the zero to two. Uh So I'm gonna throw it
- 21:57Speaker 1: to you, Howie, this one's for you, alright, has chance
- 22:00Speaker 1: he had to stay alive. Here we go, focus in
- 22:04Speaker 1: staying alive. Staying alive. Uh like you're not gonna win
- 22:08Speaker 1: any recording contracts either, but all right, here we go.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Before Nick Foles won Super Bowl m v P, he
- 22:16Speaker 1: led his team to victory against the Vikings in the
- 22:18Speaker 1: NFC Championship. Please tell us his yards per attempt in
- 22:23Speaker 1: that game, and make sure to be accurate to the
- 22:26Speaker 1: second decimal point or unfortunately, we will have to count
- 22:31Speaker 1: it as wrong. Fourteen point one. Say that number again,
- 22:38Speaker 1: fourteen point one? Oh law, Unfortunately, like all your other answers,
- 22:43Speaker 1: that is incorrect. You know, we do appreciate you being
- 22:46Speaker 1: so bullish on Nick Foles. But hey, Tonty, just out
- 22:50Speaker 1: of curiosity again, do you know this one? Uh? You know?
- 22:53Speaker 1: If memory serves me correctly, Uh, I believe he averaged
- 22:58Speaker 1: somewhere about ten point six seven yards per attempt in
- 23:02Speaker 1: that game. Wow the nose, Tony, well done, and that
- 23:10Speaker 1: means you are the winner. So how we this must
- 23:14Speaker 1: need right now to tell Tony. Please tell Tony and
- 23:18Speaker 1: crown him as the sultan of sportscrubya, please go ahead,
- 23:23Speaker 1: come on, well, Tony, you're clearly the sultan of Eagles
- 23:29Speaker 1: sports trivia. You can't even lose with plan. Let me
- 23:38Speaker 1: be honest, Let me be honest. I'm more like Steve
- 23:42Speaker 1: Lombardi in wrestling. Maybe quick door, Rick McGraw, Uh, tonight
- 23:47Speaker 1: against Andre the Giant and the whole thing you make it.
- 23:51Speaker 1: You're making all these excuses for yourself, and I'll show
- 23:56Speaker 1: you the door because guess what you're how are you
- 24:01Speaker 1: doing you're doing, you know, Tony, that was actually a
- 24:13Speaker 1: pretty decent clip there, you know, unlike the first though,
- 24:16Speaker 1: Yeah exactly. And now we know why his trivia show
- 24:19Speaker 1: got canceled. Yeah exactly because he just you know, if
- 24:22Speaker 1: you were the star of the show, Tony, that would
- 24:25Speaker 1: still be on for thirty years. Yeah exactly, still going today.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Just another terrible programming decision by ESPN. And on the
- 24:35Speaker 1: subject to terrible programming decisions, that comes to the end
- 24:38Speaker 1: of this show that we're gonna wrap the worst of
- 24:41Speaker 1: the Polly and Tony Fusco Show here, but make sure
- 24:44Speaker 1: to join us next week for a regularly scheduled terrific episode.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And I hate Tony. We didn't put in much work
- 24:52Speaker 1: this week because you know, we didn't need to, but
- 24:55Speaker 1: we still did it great, didn't we. We sure did
- 24:58Speaker 1: another floorless show. All right, We'll see you people next week.
- 25:03Speaker 1: See you m m hm.
