How The State Of New York Failed To Stop Jeffrey Epstein's Predatory Behavior · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
0:05
Speaker 1: When I talk about corruption surrounding Jeffrey Epstein, his prosecution
0:10
Speaker 1: or lack of prosecution, and his criminal enterprise, it's not
0:14
Speaker 1: like I'm just pulling this shit right out of the air.
0:17
Speaker 1: All you have to do is take the time to
0:20
Speaker 1: do the deep dive, and all of the information is
0:23
Speaker 1: right there for you. It wasn't just the federal government
0:26
Speaker 1: who failed these survivors. It was also several different local governments.
0:32
Speaker 1: We've talked a lot about Florida, We've talked a lot
0:35
Speaker 1: about Balderis over in New Mexico. But New York and
0:40
Speaker 1: the state prosecutors most assuredly failed these survivors as well.
0:45
Speaker 1: In fact, I would take it a step further and say,
0:48
Speaker 1: in New York, it's even more of a transgression considering
0:53
Speaker 1: this was happening right under their noses. You mean to
0:56
Speaker 1: tell me they weren't getting any whispers about what Jeffrey
1:00
Speaker 1: Epstein was up to in their office. I know that's
1:02
Speaker 1: a damn lie, because the survivors themselves were telling them
1:07
Speaker 1: about what Epstein was up to. So they really have
1:11
Speaker 1: no leg to stand on here acting like they didn't
1:13
Speaker 1: know who Epstein was or what he was. They most
1:17
Speaker 1: certainly did, and the truth of the matter is they
1:22
Speaker 1: just didn't care. Because if they really wanted to go
1:24
Speaker 1: after him, if they really wanted to get Jeffrey Epstein,
1:27
Speaker 1: as we've established in the previous articles, the prosecution agreement
1:32
Speaker 1: in Florida, it meant nothing. In New York. They did
1:36
Speaker 1: not want to go after him. And we can debate
1:40
Speaker 1: the reasoning why they didn't want to go after him.
1:42
Speaker 1: I obviously have my own opinions, and I'm sure a
1:44
Speaker 1: lot of other people out there have their own opinions,
1:47
Speaker 1: But for me, it seems to be very simple. The
1:51
Speaker 1: idea of exposing all of this is the last thing
1:54
Speaker 1: the authorities wanted to do, so why go after it
2:00
Speaker 1: with the gusto that they should. Instead, they'll give you
2:03
Speaker 1: some low hanging fruit. Maxwell will get arrested. Jeffrey Epstein
2:07
Speaker 1: got arrested. But that was going to be the end
2:09
Speaker 1: of it, right. We're never gonna hear anything else about
2:12
Speaker 1: what went on, at least not in the Maxwell trial.
2:15
Speaker 1: If Epstein would have stood trial, I think we would
2:18
Speaker 1: have got a lot more about the inner workings of
2:21
Speaker 1: the machine. Perhaps, but with Maxwell. I don't think the
2:25
Speaker 1: juice was worth the squeeze for the government or her,
2:27
Speaker 1: and the government knew that they had to give a
2:31
Speaker 1: hunk of meat to the people at this point, they
2:33
Speaker 1: had no other choice. But for all of these years,
2:37
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were protected, and they used
2:40
Speaker 1: the precedent of that stupid ass non prosecution agreement as
2:44
Speaker 1: the basis of that protection. I've said that was ridiculous
2:48
Speaker 1: from Jump Street, and I'll continue to say that. Do
2:50
Speaker 1: you really think if it was a mafioso who was
2:53
Speaker 1: living in New York and you know, had a non
2:56
Speaker 1: prosecution agreement in Florida, that that would stop the government
2:59
Speaker 1: from going after him in New York. Of course it wouldn't.
3:02
Speaker 1: But that mafioso doesn't have the same government ties that
3:06
Speaker 1: Maxwell and Epstein does or did, so he can't rock
3:10
Speaker 1: the boat as much. So let's go after him. And unfortunately,
3:15
Speaker 1: that's just the way I see it. Maybe I'm being cynical,
3:19
Speaker 1: but the federal government and these local governments, their behavior
3:24
Speaker 1: has led me down this path. I didn't just wake
3:27
Speaker 1: up one morning and say, ah, you know what, everybody
3:29
Speaker 1: screwed up here? Article after article report after report, cataloging
3:37
Speaker 1: all of the screw ups here, all of the irregular
3:40
Speaker 1: irregularities here, and we're just gonna chalk it all up
3:45
Speaker 1: to coincidence. Well, we're not gonna do that here on
3:49
Speaker 1: this podcast. We'll save that for other people. Today, we
3:54
Speaker 1: have an article from vox headline, the state of New
3:57
Speaker 1: York protected Jeffrey Epstein not as serve. A Manhattan prosecutor
4:03
Speaker 1: asked for Epstein to receive the lowest level sex offender
4:06
Speaker 1: status and Epstein never checked in with New York City
4:10
Speaker 1: police as required by law. Now, remember the Kalif Prouder story. Okay,
4:16
Speaker 1: Khalif Prouder, sixteen years old, gets arrested for allegedly stealing
4:19
Speaker 1: someone's backpack that he said he never stole, and this
4:23
Speaker 1: kid ends up sitting on Riker's Island for what nine
4:25
Speaker 1: hundred days or something. Meanwhile, Jeffrey Epstein is running a
4:29
Speaker 1: human trafficking ring, molesting girls, raping girls, being involved in
4:34
Speaker 1: money laundering, being involved in election finance rigging, you name it,
4:39
Speaker 1: and he doesn't even have to check in with the police. Yeah,
4:44
Speaker 1: there's equitable justice. This article was authored by Jane Coosten,
4:53
Speaker 1: Secretary of labor Alexandra Acosta has faced criticism for making
4:57
Speaker 1: a sweetheart deal with convicted sex offender Jeff Epstein that
5:01
Speaker 1: cut a serious prison sentence on sex trafficking charges down
5:05
Speaker 1: to just thirteen months in a private wing of a
5:08
Speaker 1: Palm Beach jail. You know, pom Beach is a shithole, Folks,
5:11
Speaker 1: breaking news if you didn't know that. Pom Beach is
5:14
Speaker 1: a shithole and it's filled with a bunch of undesirable characters.
5:21
Speaker 1: But he is not the only criminal justice official who
5:24
Speaker 1: failed Epstein's survivors. A Costa held a press conference in
5:28
Speaker 1: Washington Wednesday, aiming to defend himself from critics such as
5:32
Speaker 1: HOW speaker Nancy Pelosi, who has called on him to
5:35
Speaker 1: resign over his role in creating the deal. You know,
5:38
Speaker 1: it's funny Nancy Pelosi had a lot to say when
5:41
Speaker 1: she wanted a cost it or resign. It was a
5:44
Speaker 1: big deal then, right, So it's not a big deal anymore.
5:47
Speaker 1: Where's Nancy Pelosi coming out and defending these girls. So
5:51
Speaker 1: defending these survivors and demanding justice. He claimed it was
5:58
Speaker 1: the best outcome available at the time because jurys were
6:01
Speaker 1: less sensitive to accusations of sexual assault in a pre
6:05
Speaker 1: me too era and also blamed local law enforcement officials. Well,
6:10
Speaker 1: the pre me to era stuff, I don't buy that, Okay,
6:14
Speaker 1: if you're a disgusting sick predator, you were getting nailed
6:16
Speaker 1: as a disgusting sick predator. This wasn't a case that
6:20
Speaker 1: he said, she said. This was a case of a
6:23
Speaker 1: evidence a mountain high as high as Mount Everest, and
6:27
Speaker 1: it was federal officials that didn't want to do anything.
6:30
Speaker 1: They didn't have the willpower to do it. Not that
6:32
Speaker 1: they didn't have the capability, they didn't have the willpower.
6:35
Speaker 1: And to blame it on potential jurors is absolute garbagio.
6:43
Speaker 1: But local officials, particularly particularly those in New York, do,
6:47
Speaker 1: in fact have serious questions to answer about the handling
6:51
Speaker 1: of Epstein's case. A New York prosecutor tried to keep
6:55
Speaker 1: Epstein from being registered as a high level sex offender,
6:58
Speaker 1: and the NYPD look the other way when he didn't
7:01
Speaker 1: show up to court mandated check ins required by his
7:04
Speaker 1: sex offender status and did so for eight years, And
7:08
Speaker 1: then you wonder why there was no chain of custody
7:10
Speaker 1: with any of the evidence. You see what I mean, folks,
7:12
Speaker 1: This is all the big ass joke to them. Meanwhile,
7:17
Speaker 1: this shit has real life consequences for people, marginalized, people
7:22
Speaker 1: who have been forgotten about, who have been pushed to
7:25
Speaker 1: the side, and who have been trampled over year after year,
7:28
Speaker 1: day after day by shitty ass prosecutors, elected officials, and
7:34
Speaker 1: do nothing lawmen. The story of Jeffrey Epstein isn't about
7:43
Speaker 1: Donald Trump or Bill Clinton. It's the story of a
7:46
Speaker 1: wealthy serial sexual predator who got away with his crimes
7:49
Speaker 1: for decades with the assistance of a bipartisan cadre of
7:53
Speaker 1: powerful allies, including the offices that are supposed to prosecute
7:57
Speaker 1: such crimes. Folks, I don't know how much times I
8:00
Speaker 1: have to slam this one home. One thing that we
8:03
Speaker 1: should all be aligned on is getting rid of Jeffrey
8:06
Speaker 1: Epstein and a shitty criminal enterprise. Because both sides of
8:10
Speaker 1: the aisle were providing him support, both sides of the
8:13
Speaker 1: aisle were getting money from him, and both sides of
8:15
Speaker 1: the aisle were rubbing shoulders with him. And both sides
8:19
Speaker 1: of the aisle had ample chances to take him down
8:21
Speaker 1: and neither of them did. So don't come at me
8:24
Speaker 1: with any bullshit. Okay, the proof is in the pudding
8:28
Speaker 1: and the gas lighting, the you know, the what about isms.
8:32
Speaker 1: That shit dies on arrival on this podcast. I have
8:35
Speaker 1: no time for it and no patience for it. Take
8:39
Speaker 1: that what about ism and shove it, because guess what.
8:43
Speaker 1: The whole entire political class, which there never should have
8:47
Speaker 1: been a political class, by the way, is corrupt from
8:50
Speaker 1: the top down. And the people that get out there
8:53
Speaker 1: and they're all fired up about re electing these incumbents
8:56
Speaker 1: who haven't made our lives better and in fact, have
8:58
Speaker 1: just made the worse. I'll never run understand it, and
9:01
Speaker 1: I will never let me be very clear, I will
9:03
Speaker 1: never be bullied into voting for one side or the
9:06
Speaker 1: other because, oh, you have to defend democracy. What sort
9:10
Speaker 1: of BS tagline is that defend democracy? Defend it from?
9:15
Speaker 1: Who can I get a full on accounting of who
9:18
Speaker 1: I'm defending democracy from? Because to me, it looks like
9:20
Speaker 1: democracy is being eroded from the top down. The Manhattan
9:28
Speaker 1: District Attorney's Office tried to help Jeffrey Epstein based on
9:31
Speaker 1: a mistaken interpretation. In twenty eleven, a prosecutor from the
9:36
Speaker 1: Manhattan's District Attorney's Office made an extraordinary argument before the
9:40
Speaker 1: Manhattan Supreme Court sharing a hearing over Epstein, who had
9:44
Speaker 1: pleaded guilty to charges in Florida of procuring a person
9:47
Speaker 1: under eighteen for prostitution and felony solicitation of prostitution in
9:52
Speaker 1: two thousand and eight. Again, you cannot be a child
9:56
Speaker 1: and be a prostitute. Children can't consent. As reported by
10:02
Speaker 1: The New York Times, the prosecutor Jennifer Gaffney asked a
10:07
Speaker 1: judge to reduce mister Epstein's sex offender status to the
10:10
Speaker 1: lowest possible classification, which would have limited the personal information
10:15
Speaker 1: available to the public and would have kept him from
10:18
Speaker 1: being listed on a registry of sex offenders for life. Now,
10:22
Speaker 1: why would Jennifer Gaffney argue for that? Anyone have any
10:28
Speaker 1: quality reason why a prosecutor would be trying to argue
10:32
Speaker 1: in favor of that, unless, of course, that prosecutor or
10:36
Speaker 1: their office has ulterior motives. Justice Ruth Pickholtz denied the
10:44
Speaker 1: request and expressed incredulity that the District Attorney's office would
10:48
Speaker 1: argue in support of a man accused of sexually molesting
10:51
Speaker 1: dozens of teenage girls in Florida. So why would the
10:55
Speaker 1: New York Prosecutor's office argue in favor of this, and
10:58
Speaker 1: let's remember this is the same office that showed a
11:01
Speaker 1: whole bunch of love to guys like Harvey Weinstein. I
11:05
Speaker 1: have to tell you, I'm a little overwhelmed because I
11:07
Speaker 1: have never seen a prosecutor's office do anything like this,
11:11
Speaker 1: the judge told Miss Gaffney. So once again, folks, look,
11:14
Speaker 1: I'm not just pulling shit out of the air, right,
11:17
Speaker 1: I'm not just making up reasons to be mad about
11:19
Speaker 1: the behavior of the SDNY or the New York Prosecutor's Office.
11:24
Speaker 1: There are legitimate criticisms here that need to be on display.
11:28
Speaker 1: But your fourth estate, the legacy media, has failed you
11:32
Speaker 1: once again and instead would rather set this up so
11:34
Speaker 1: that you're all fighting with each other, even over Jeffrey
11:37
Speaker 1: Epstein's crimes. That's their goal, have all of us fighting
11:41
Speaker 1: with each other so we're not focused on the overall picture.
11:44
Speaker 1: And I'll tell you what, I am not falling for it.
11:47
Speaker 1: This effort was not just surprising, it directly contradicted the
11:50
Speaker 1: New York Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders' evaluation of Epstein,
11:55
Speaker 1: whom the board viewed as a high risk sex offender.
11:58
Speaker 1: For his actions in Florida. Manhattan's District Attorney Cyrus Vance
12:02
Speaker 1: said later that the request a lower Epstein's sex offender
12:05
Speaker 1: status was a mistake, saying in a briefing that summer.
12:08
Speaker 1: In reaching that conclusion, the people apparently relied on a
12:12
Speaker 1: combination of a mistaken interpretation of the governing legal standards
12:17
Speaker 1: and certain secondhand information about the Florida case. Such bullshit.
12:21
Speaker 1: What happened was he got caught with his hand in
12:23
Speaker 1: the cookie jar Cyrus Vance, and then he had to
12:25
Speaker 1: make an excuse about it. Disgusting all the way around.
12:29
Speaker 1: And you would think, again, all the time it takes
12:32
Speaker 1: for all of these people with these stupid ass conspiracy
12:34
Speaker 1: theory articles trying to paint people with brushes, you would
12:39
Speaker 1: think they put some time into it and really looked
12:41
Speaker 1: at what was going on, they'd understand that this wasn't
12:44
Speaker 1: a conspiracy theory, that this was a criminal conspiracy. In fact,
12:49
Speaker 1: Vance's office was under investigation last year by the state
12:52
Speaker 1: of New York for his decision not to prosecute Harvey
12:55
Speaker 1: Weinstein on allegations of sexual misconduct, despite a recording of
13:00
Speaker 1: Weinstein admitting to groping a woman before that inquiry was paused,
13:04
Speaker 1: and in twenty twelve, VANCE dropped an investigation into Ivanka
13:08
Speaker 1: and Donald Trump Junior for allegedly misleading condo buyers, reportedly
13:13
Speaker 1: after receiving a visit from Donald Trump's personal attorney Mark Kassowitz. Look,
13:19
Speaker 1: we all know that Donald Trump had his hands deeply,
13:22
Speaker 1: deeply in the real estate market, and we all know
13:26
Speaker 1: about the corruption in the real estate market. That's why
13:29
Speaker 1: when everybody was so gung ho and going after Donald
13:31
Speaker 1: Trump as president, I said, you guys are missing the
13:34
Speaker 1: mark going in the Russier route. There's nothing there. What
13:37
Speaker 1: you should be doing is going after the financials that
13:39
Speaker 1: have to do with all of the developments. Because if
13:42
Speaker 1: you really want to catch a billionaire and you want
13:44
Speaker 1: to make it stick, you'll go after financial crimes. That's
13:47
Speaker 1: the only way to get these people. Folks, haven't you
13:50
Speaker 1: been paying attention? Nothing else sticks, only financial crimes. As
13:56
Speaker 1: a sex offender, Epstein was supposed to check in with
13:59
Speaker 1: the NYPD, but he didn't. According to the New York
14:03
Speaker 1: State Department of Criminal Justice Services, registered sex offenders have
14:07
Speaker 1: several basic obligations, including report annually where they live by
14:11
Speaker 1: signing and returning an annual verification form to DCJS within
14:17
Speaker 1: ten days after receiving it. Notified DCJS and writing of
14:21
Speaker 1: a new address no later than ten days after moving,
14:24
Speaker 1: report in person to a local agency to have a
14:27
Speaker 1: current photograph taken every three years. Level one to two
14:31
Speaker 1: offenders or every year. Level three offenders notified DCJS and
14:37
Speaker 1: writing of any institution of higher education they are attending, enrolled, living,
14:42
Speaker 1: or employed. Any change in status must be reported to
14:45
Speaker 1: DCJS no later than ten days after the change. Provide
14:50
Speaker 1: in writing, Internet service providers, internet screen names, and email accounts.
14:55
Speaker 1: Level three offenders and offenders with the sexual predator designation
14:59
Speaker 1: must person only verify their addresses every ninety days with
15:03
Speaker 1: law enforcement. Law enforcement may at that time photograph Level
15:07
Speaker 1: three offenders if that offender's appearance has changed. But Epstein,
15:12
Speaker 1: a Level three registered sex offender, didn't fulfill his obligation
15:15
Speaker 1: under these rules, something that would result in normal offenders
15:19
Speaker 1: being sent to prison. For example, he was supposed to
15:22
Speaker 1: register his address in person every ninety days beginning in
15:25
Speaker 1: twenty eleven, meaning that he should have reported his address
15:29
Speaker 1: in person thirty four times. He never did so. Again,
15:35
Speaker 1: is the problem out here? People bringing this shit up?
15:38
Speaker 1: Or is the problem that this all happened and nobody
15:41
Speaker 1: wants to really report on it. A report by the
15:47
Speaker 1: New York Posts found that Epstein never checked in with
15:49
Speaker 1: the NYPD and never verified his address as the low stipulates.
15:54
Speaker 1: At the very least, his team certainly knew about this requirement.
15:58
Speaker 1: At the same hearing where a Manhattan prosecute attempted to
16:00
Speaker 1: get Epstein a sex offender's status lowered, Judge Pickholt said
16:04
Speaker 1: point blank that Epstein would need to register in person
16:06
Speaker 1: with law enforcement every ninety days. The NYPD cop assigned
16:11
Speaker 1: to monitor Epstein has repeediately complained to Vance sex Crimes
16:15
Speaker 1: Unit that Epstein wasn't in compliance, according to a source
16:19
Speaker 1: familiar with the matter, but prosecutors told the cop to
16:23
Speaker 1: merely send Epstein a letter reminding him of his reporting requirement.
16:27
Speaker 1: Now would that happen for anybody else? And it just
16:30
Speaker 1: again shines a spotlight that the rank and file, for
16:33
Speaker 1: the most part, want to do the right thing, meaning
16:35
Speaker 1: the police, meaning the FBI, But their bosses are the problem.
16:40
Speaker 1: Guys like Cyrus Vance and these unelected bureaucrats that get
16:44
Speaker 1: in the way. Instead of registering every ninety days, as
16:50
Speaker 1: a Level three sex offender. Epstein attended movie premieres and
16:53
Speaker 1: hosted dinner parties for the rich and famous, all the
16:56
Speaker 1: while allegedly building a home treasure trove of pornograph material
17:00
Speaker 1: featuring very young women with CDs bearing handwritten labels like
17:04
Speaker 1: Miscellaneous Nudes won and Girl Picks Nudes. And the entities
17:09
Speaker 1: tasked with protecting the public from Epstein did nothing. So
17:15
Speaker 1: that's Vox saying it, not Fox News. This isn't you know,
17:19
Speaker 1: coming from Breitbart or good old Tucker Carlson. This is
17:25
Speaker 1: a problem, folks, and it needs to be addressed. This
17:27
Speaker 1: is the real problem. You want to talk about, issues,
17:30
Speaker 1: you want to talk about, Jeffrey Epstein. The real problem
17:33
Speaker 1: is that we were felled at every step of the
17:36
Speaker 1: way by the federal government, by state governments, and by
17:39
Speaker 1: local governments, and none of them have been forced to
17:44
Speaker 1: take accountability for what has happened. Each and every time
17:47
Speaker 1: their behavior has been glossed over by the court, has
17:50
Speaker 1: been glossed over by a prosecutor, and it's all been good.
17:53
Speaker 1: Well guess what. Nothing about this case is good and
17:56
Speaker 1: everything about it is garbage, and the way it was
17:59
Speaker 1: prosecuted has been garbage since day one and it still
18:03
Speaker 1: hasn't changed. So if you're wondering why I'm so critical
18:09
Speaker 1: of all of the bodies who were involved in this,
18:11
Speaker 1: meaning at the top of the food chain, here's another
18:15
Speaker 1: example to why. If you'd like to contact me, you
