  all and stands at the very center of our lives day after

  day. Through this podcast, you'll

  Pastor Nizar Tuma, born in Nazareth and a devoted servant
• 0:38
  of faith since becoming a believer in 1985.

  He was ordained in 1990 and has spent decades in ministry,
• 0:46
  including ten years in Jerusalem and over 26 years in Nazareth.

  He's married to his wife, Katie. With home.

  He shares three children and two grandchildren.

  District. Hello everyone, greetings again

  in the name of Jesus. It's a pleasure to get to see
• 1:06
  you all again and to share with you what's on my heart for this
• 1:10
  devotional, this day. And I'm going to be speaking
• 1:14
  about the importance of spending time with Jesus, your solitary
• 1:18
  time, your quiet time when Jesus invited his disciples, when they
• 1:23
  prayed to go into their closet and close the door.
• 1:28
  So today I just want to remind you that in the first podcast, I
• 1:32
  spoke about the veil that was removed, that there was no
• 1:36
  restrictions, no barriers anymore between you and God,
• 1:40
  between US and God. So today I will share with you a
• 1:44
  few verses and some ideas from the Gospel of Mark chapter 6.
• 1:51
  I read a few verses. Please look up with me Chapter 6
• 1:56
  of the book of Mark verse 30 to probably 32.

  The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to Him all
• 2:05
  they had done and taught. Then because so many people were
• 2:09
  coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat,
• 2:14
  He said to them, come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and
• 2:20
  get some rest. So they went away by themselves
• 2:25
  in a boat to a solitary place. So thinking about that, Jesus
• 2:31
  inviting his disciples to go away and spend time with him
• 2:36
  alone, how important that calling is to us today.
• 2:40
  There are so much going and coming, so many people, so many
• 2:43
  things that we're doing. We're so busy.
• 2:46
  Our hands are full of so many things to do.
• 2:49
  We are so busy with ministry, reaching out, preaching,
• 2:52
  teaching and and probably visiting hospitals and visiting
• 2:56
  people in their homes and caring for others.
• 2:59
  And we don't have a chance to find and sit in front of Jesus,
• 3:05
  sit at his feet and gaze at his beauty and think about those
• 3:10
  special moments where we, in those moments we get so much
• 3:15
  power, we get so much love, and we get so much of what is on
• 3:20
  God's heart for our lives. So I would encourage you today
• 3:24
  that use the time, do not let this opportunity, you know, like
• 3:31
  slip between your hands, between your fingers, just grab it, run,
• 3:37
  take a time, walk away. Because the you see, when the
• 3:41
  veil was removed, now it's our opportunity to go and enjoy
• 3:45
  whatever is going to happen behind this veil.
• 3:49
  What whatever Jesus wants to add to our lives.
• 3:53
  I bet when we sit down and we we rest and we relax, dropping
• 3:58
  every burden at his feet, confessing all of our weaknesses
• 4:03
  and probably our iniquities and just tell him that we need him
• 4:08
  and that we came just to meet with him to just to sit at his
• 4:12
  feet. How important that is and how
• 4:15
  beautiful the picture is. I bet every one of us needs
• 4:18
  those touches of Jesus hands as we spend time at his feet.
• 4:24
  You see, many people don't have this opportunity and many
• 4:28
  believers, probably, I know many pastors don't have this
• 4:31
  opportunity of sitting down and really spending time with Jesus.
• 4:36
  It is so important for us as believers to take that time and
• 4:40
  make the best use of it. So today, please think, who is
• 4:44
  Jesus to you? Is he All in all?
• 4:47
  Is he your God? Is your passion really high and
• 4:53
  you love to meet with Him, You love to see Him, You love to
• 4:56
  spend time with Him. You see, I live in Nazareth.
• 4:59
  This is a place where people rejected Jesus.
• 5:02
  They just didn't believe in him and they were they said
• 5:06
  something about him being lunatic.
• 5:08
  It was and, and also in the book of Mark, I think it was chapter
• 5:11
  3, they went out to bring Jesus in.
• 5:15
  Like he was on the street. It's like almost he was crazy.
• 5:19
  But you see, they didn't understand who he was, who Jesus
• 5:22
  was. How about us guys?
• 5:25
  How about us? Do we really understand that we
• 5:28
  need Him, that we cannot live our Christian life without Him,
• 5:33
  That we need His power, we need His input, we need His
• 5:36
  direction, we need the pouring of the Holy Spirit over our
• 5:40
  lives so we can carry on in our journey, in our Christian
• 5:44
  journey. You see, it's a big challenge
• 5:47
  for us. I can just challenge you today
• 5:50
  to take this time. I know how difficult it is.
• 5:53
  I know how hard it is to take time and walk away from the busy
• 5:58
  life. You know our mobiles and our
• 6:02
  messages and responding to everyone and let's just take
• 6:05
  this time and go at Jesus feet. Sit there and say Lord, I need
• 6:10
  you. I need no one else.
• 6:13
  I need you to be first in my life.
• 6:16
  I want you to encourage me to that.
• 6:17
  I want to enter. You see, when you enter, then
• 6:20
  you can have the chance to show him your needs, to pour out your
• 6:24
  heart and to tell him about those things that bother you and
• 6:27
  the needs that you think about and and the pressure that you're
• 6:31
  living under. You just can spend this time
• 6:34
  putting your heart and then wait on the Lord.
• 6:36
  Don't forget this one. Wait on the Lord.
• 6:39
  Let him speak to your heart. He talks back, guys.
• 6:43
  Yes, he talks back. Continue waiting and wait on Him
• 6:48
  to respond by voice, to respond by a word from Him directly to
• 6:56
  you through the Bible or maybe through a message that you will
• 7:02
  hear through a sign that he will give you.
• 7:06
  He will give you signs. He have given signs to many
• 7:09
  people. He give a sign to Gideon and he
• 7:13
  give signs to many other people. I, I can't think now about many,
• 7:17
  but let's trust Him that he will do more than we can expect.
• 7:22
  So please find the solitary time, find this quiet time, I
• 7:28
  mean work hard to make it real, to find it and spend it at His
• 7:33
  feet. You will need His anointing, you
• 7:36
  will need His touch, you will need His power, you will need
• 7:39
  His Word, you will need His company.
• 7:43
  So don't waste this time. We are living in the end times.
• 7:48
  Everyone of us needs those moments with Jesus directly,
• 7:52
  face to face, listening to His voice, and here it gives Him
• 7:57
  talking to us down deep. God bless you.
