- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's get into some polymarket news. Could see a half
- 0:02Speaker 1: a trillion dollar company coming into the New York Stock Exchange.
- 0:05Speaker 1: This is what we're going to break down today. I
- 0:06Speaker 1: think you'll love it. I do want to thank our sponsor,
- 0:09Speaker 1: and that is Tangum. Get into self custody, guys, because
- 0:12Speaker 1: this is where you can start to store your tokens
- 0:14Speaker 1: as you're making exchange plays or even if you're doing
- 0:17Speaker 1: it out in DeFi. Tangum is the spot for you.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Go over to tangum dot com. Use our link down below.
- 0:22Speaker 1: It's going to give you access to a three card set.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Go ahead and get that. This is a very easy
- 0:28Speaker 1: wallet to set up, very fast activation, and one of
- 0:32Speaker 1: the most secure out there. It's the one I like
- 0:34Speaker 1: to use. So make sure and use our link down
- 0:36Speaker 1: below to get started in self custody. Let's kind of
- 0:39Speaker 1: lead off here with a couple of things that I
- 0:41Speaker 1: want to go to. One is Shane Copeland and his
- 0:44Speaker 1: tweet right here. We're proud to announce that ICE, the
- 0:46Speaker 1: owner of the New York Stock Exchange and the largest
- 0:49Speaker 1: exchange company in the world, is making a strategic investment
- 0:53Speaker 1: of two billion dollars in polymarket. This will put the
- 0:56Speaker 1: valuation at around nine billion post money and the partnership
- 0:59Speaker 1: right now as a major step in bringing prediction markets
- 1:02Speaker 1: to the financial mainstream. Imagine what it would look like
- 1:06Speaker 1: if Wall Street could actually make bets on elections, or
- 1:11Speaker 1: sporting or things like the fad or almost anything you
- 1:16Speaker 1: can imagine in terms of a prediction market. That's the
- 1:18Speaker 1: kind of scenario that could play out here with Polymarket
- 1:21Speaker 1: Ice right there taking a minority stake in Polymarket at a
- 1:24Speaker 1: nine nine billion valuation.
- 1:26Speaker 2: Ice was up.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Four percent in pre market in pre market trading, so
- 1:31Speaker 1: immediate hit to them.
- 1:32Speaker 2: That was a good move.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And you kind of see their Wall Street banner right there,
- 1:36Speaker 1: against all odds, and I would agree with that, as
- 1:38Speaker 1: Copeland has been against all odds for quite some time.
- 1:41Speaker 1: All Right, so let me go to a clip real quick.
- 1:43Speaker 1: This is Polymarket and Ice announcing the partnership.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 1:46Speaker 3: I guess if you can't beat them, join them.
- 1:48Speaker 4: That seems to be.
- 1:49Speaker 2: The case, Sarin, old money meets new money. How do
- 1:52Speaker 2: you feel about partnering with the old guy?
- 1:54Speaker 4: I mean, just look at us, right, I'm old involved,
- 1:57Speaker 4: he's young.
- 1:57Speaker 2: And mop headed.
- 1:58Speaker 4: I have a closet full of ties. I don't think
- 2:00Speaker 4: he owns a tie.
- 2:01Speaker 3: The company that we're sitting in was started in seventeen
- 2:04Speaker 3: ninety two. He's got the hottest financial services company in
- 2:07Speaker 3: twenty twenty five. This company is probably the most distributed
- 2:11Speaker 3: company in the world inside of the financial services industry
- 2:15Speaker 3: and the existing banking system.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Initially, we're going.
- 2:17Speaker 2: To be distributing his data.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I think, even for you, Andrew is becoming hot news.
- 2:24Speaker 3: But he and his engineers have already been working with
- 2:26Speaker 3: our team, and I'm telling you they're out there. They
- 2:29Speaker 3: understand where the puck is going, and we're following them
- 2:33Speaker 3: to make sure that we don't get this intermediated.
- 2:37Speaker 5: Older juggernaut companies they make announcements about different types of
- 2:41Speaker 5: things they're going to do with cutting age technology. But
- 2:43Speaker 5: with what we're doing, there's going to be real bike.
- 2:45Speaker 5: How soon is the US market going to be able
- 2:48Speaker 5: to have access? It's happening very soon. We're going to
- 2:51Speaker 5: be rolling out the beta this month. A few people
- 2:53Speaker 5: have been on it and being called.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I love Copeland. He's so natural about this.
- 3:03Speaker 1: But point being, right now, guys, we're getting ready to
- 3:05Speaker 1: see polymarket on US soil markets, on everything You're gonna
- 3:10Speaker 1: be able to get an invite right now for those
- 3:12Speaker 1: who are interested in going that direction versus the DeFi route.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You can actually go over to Polymarket dot Us there's
- 3:18Speaker 1: the landing Paige. Put your phone number in and get
- 3:20Speaker 1: an early invite for that. I think there's like sixty
- 3:22Speaker 1: thousand people on the wait list for this.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Thing right now.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And it's interesting because remember we showed this last week
- 3:28Speaker 1: and it was an interesting clip and you guys probably
- 3:31Speaker 1: saw that. But right there was Terrence Duffy, you guys
- 3:33Speaker 1: know who that is. He gave you know, the International
- 3:36Speaker 1: Sign of Freedom and friendship to to Shane, and Jeffrey
- 3:41Speaker 1: was right there in the middle. So I think that
- 3:43Speaker 1: might have created the bond right there that started to
- 3:46Speaker 1: move on what we're seeing right now in the market.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Let me go over to another one because this is
- 3:50Speaker 1: where Spreecher was actually defending Copeland.
- 3:53Speaker 5: Take a look, and we're left with consumers having to
- 3:57Speaker 5: you know, work with guys like you who are a
- 3:59Speaker 5: lot older. I may not with all the respects, but may.
- 4:05Speaker 4: Not understand entrepreneurs. You know, like Shane and Tarique. They
- 4:09Speaker 4: both gentlemen have gone through significant personal sacrifice to get
- 4:15Speaker 4: to where they are today sacrifice that that the public
- 4:18Speaker 4: exchanges up here couldn't tolerate. I was falsely accused of
- 4:21Speaker 4: something and was rated by the FBI. I thought about
- 4:24Speaker 4: it and I said, you know, I don't really know
- 4:26Speaker 4: this guy. I don't really want to get involved, and
- 4:28Speaker 4: but that weighed on me. And ultimately, when when Shane
- 4:32Speaker 4: was exonerated, I picked up the phone and said, I
- 4:35Speaker 4: have something in common with you, and I'd love to
- 4:37Speaker 4: sit down and talk about whether or not we could
- 4:39Speaker 4: compare notes.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Interesting. I did not know that about Spreacher. So intriguing,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you know bedfellows there. Well, the point being is is
- 4:49Speaker 1: that if you look at the competition, there's really only
- 4:52Speaker 1: one other player player out there, and that's Calshi. And
- 4:55Speaker 1: if you look at the notional volume by category right
- 4:58Speaker 1: now between Polymarket and calsh the leader right now is
- 5:01Speaker 1: mostly sports.
- 5:02Speaker 2: It's that big yellow section right there.
- 5:05Speaker 1: You can kind of see it if you pull that away,
- 5:07Speaker 1: look at the volume differentiation. This is mostly what cal
- 5:10Speaker 1: She is driving on right now. Versus when you look
- 5:13Speaker 1: at Polymarket, we're seeing a blend of crypto, you.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Know, politics, sports.
- 5:18Speaker 1: This is a much healthier, I think platform in terms
- 5:21Speaker 1: of flexibility and also being able to draw in users
- 5:24Speaker 1: that are interested across a lot of different interests. So
- 5:27Speaker 1: that is a big factor, I think. And as you
- 5:29Speaker 1: start to see, remember Polymarket not available in the US yet,
- 5:32Speaker 1: so when that happens, I think that will be the domination.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Of the two sectors out there.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Now I'm not saying that they win automatically. Calshi could
- 5:40Speaker 1: come out and do something to defend against this, but
- 5:43Speaker 1: right now Blue is definitely dominating Green, as this tweet says,
- 5:47Speaker 1: and you know what that means. You can kind of
- 5:49Speaker 1: look at Polymarket. I'll just pop in on this a
- 5:51Speaker 1: little bit closer. Look at this when you pull away
- 5:54Speaker 1: the sports component, that's the mix in terms of Polymarket
- 5:58Speaker 1: domination and yet to really have the US market.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So let's go over to some partnerships.
- 6:03Speaker 1: This of course was Polymarket and the X partnership announcement
- 6:07Speaker 1: that was an official partnership. Then, of course you started
- 6:09Speaker 1: to see this massive news feed breaking in which I
- 6:12Speaker 1: would say is one of the best news feeds out
- 6:14Speaker 1: there right now outside of maybe Perplexity, Perpetuity's got a
- 6:17Speaker 1: pretty good one as well, and worth mentioning that, of course,
- 6:20Speaker 1: Perplexity running on Polymarket.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Let's take a look over though.
- 6:24Speaker 1: If you remember caw she was out there doing a
- 6:26Speaker 1: lot of different kind of deals claiming that there was an.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Actual Xai deal.
- 6:32Speaker 1: That story was actually retracted though, so no deal was
- 6:35Speaker 1: in place. I think cal she's to do some catching
- 6:38Speaker 1: up to try to keep up with Copeland and what
- 6:39Speaker 1: they're doing. One thing to consider with polymarket are some
- 6:43Speaker 1: of the third party builders that are outside think of
- 6:45Speaker 1: this much like a platform. In the early days, Twitter
- 6:48Speaker 1: used to do this. I wonder if Pollymarket will take
- 6:51Speaker 1: that tact in terms of using the ability to grow
- 6:55Speaker 1: the ecosystem and then sucking some of those features into
- 6:58Speaker 1: the tool set themselves. I don't know, we'll see if
- 7:01Speaker 1: that plays out over time. Other things, remember stocks Twitz,
- 7:05Speaker 1: this was another partnership. Now on Polymarket, you've also got
- 7:09Speaker 1: Polymarket getting investment capital from seventeen eighty nine, this being
- 7:12Speaker 1: the Trump Don Junior's back company.
- 7:15Speaker 2: That was another big move.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And of course I got another clip for you because
- 7:18Speaker 1: this will go into a little bit more detail on
- 7:21Speaker 1: where remember if you guys know Nate Silverman and the
- 7:25Speaker 1: five thirty eight Poles, if you haven't checked those out, they're.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Mostly political polls.
- 7:30Speaker 1: But this was the example of polymarket actually doing better
- 7:35Speaker 1: than five point thirty eight.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Take a look, if you look at the five thirty
- 7:38Speaker 6: eight final polling average, it was forty eight for Harris,
- 7:41Speaker 6: forty seven for Trump. What did Harris wind up getting
- 7:43Speaker 6: She's at about forty eight point two Trump though, at
- 7:46Speaker 6: fifty percent. So the polls underestimated Trump support again, which
- 7:50Speaker 6: is what we saw on the last two elections. And
- 7:52Speaker 6: when you look at the state poles, it was also
- 7:55Speaker 6: the same sort of story. Across all seven battleground states.
- 7:58Speaker 6: Trump's support was underestimated buy anywhere from two to four points.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And you know that.
- 8:04Speaker 6: And I feel like we say that every election about
- 8:06Speaker 6: what the polls are going.
- 8:07Speaker 1: To have to do a new phenomenon, and that's gimbling
- 8:10Speaker 1: polls and call it the poll pole.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Is something I've never heard of, the polly market.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Polly market, I guess at sixty four to thirty eight.
- 8:19Speaker 2: So that's that bad.
- 8:20Speaker 6: I don't know what the hell it means, but it
- 8:21Speaker 6: means that we're doing volley pole.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I love it. Pollypole. Trump sometimes I don't think he
- 8:26Speaker 2: has a clue.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I really don't remember though, that Nate Silver, the guy
- 8:32Speaker 1: who created five thirty eight actually joined polymarket in creating
- 8:35Speaker 1: prediction markets now, so the clarity is there. This is
- 8:38Speaker 1: going to be one of the key things I think
- 8:40Speaker 1: as we'll see elections play into this, sporting events and
- 8:43Speaker 1: all sorts of things within the finance sector.
- 8:45Speaker 2: For sure.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Polymarket stable coins also are leading the way in terms
- 8:49Speaker 1: of what you can do with a stable coin as
- 8:51Speaker 1: you start to engage and set up your markets inside
- 8:55Speaker 1: of polymarket. This is where it gets intriguing because poly
- 8:59Speaker 1: market now pays out the heighest inter rates interest rates
- 9:01Speaker 1: of any prediction market. They're paying four percent annualized rewards
- 9:04Speaker 1: paid out daily to any open positions on USDC. So
- 9:10Speaker 1: that is a very unique component. That is a big
- 9:13Speaker 1: feature I think that many people don't realize that is
- 9:16Speaker 1: even available because of crypto and blockchain. That's one of
- 9:19Speaker 1: the reasons we're starting to see those kind of features
- 9:22Speaker 1: and benefits. This is the total deposit right there on
- 9:26Speaker 1: USDC for deposit end staves, and obviously this could affect
- 9:31Speaker 1: a little bit of where maybe circle in USDC will
- 9:34Speaker 1: go once that Polymarket shifts over to a new stable coin,
- 9:39Speaker 1: which is going to happen. So if that does occur
- 9:42Speaker 1: be on the lookout right there. So here's kind of
- 9:44Speaker 1: the tokenization play. You'll notice here Ice and this partnership
- 9:49Speaker 1: could signal that they're trying to work into DeFi. DeFi
- 9:53Speaker 1: would essentially go through Polygon because Polygon polymarket.
- 9:57Speaker 2: All tied together.
- 9:58Speaker 1: You look at DeFi or excuse me, the tv over
- 10:00Speaker 1: on stable coins, if you look further on down into
- 10:03Speaker 1: the charts, you'll start to see. Let me kind of
- 10:06Speaker 1: zoom in on this for you guys. As polymarket rises
- 10:09Speaker 1: in the prediction market, this TVL is going to continue
- 10:12Speaker 1: to rise. So with polymarket rises Polygon. So this is
- 10:15Speaker 1: a big app opportunity in terms of polyon token polymarket
- 10:19Speaker 1: is v poly is trading over on the token I
- 10:21Speaker 1: side on ventuals. And this is interesting because it's setting
- 10:24Speaker 1: it around ten billion implied value right now.
- 10:26Speaker 2: You can kind of see it right there at the top.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Remember the nine billion valuation on the investment capital that
- 10:32Speaker 1: Ice made. And if you look at this in the
- 10:35Speaker 1: capacity of what the New York Stock Exchange could do
- 10:38Speaker 1: in terms of DeFi, I mean, this could be this
- 10:41Speaker 1: is where polymarket literally and Ice could end up being
- 10:44Speaker 1: worth half a trillion in terms of value. Think about
- 10:47Speaker 1: that because of the access not only to the US market,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but global markets around prediction. I think this is going
- 10:54Speaker 1: to be a huge, huge play coming soon. Now Here
- 10:57Speaker 1: is ARC and Kathy Wood starting to detach away from
- 11:02Speaker 1: Draft Kings because I think Draft Kings will be one
- 11:04Speaker 1: of the one of the companies that will be impacted
- 11:08Speaker 1: by this kind of market and prediction strategy that's being
- 11:12Speaker 1: used by both Calshi and Polymarket. And she's starting to
- 11:15Speaker 1: move into some other aspects. If you kind of compare
- 11:19Speaker 1: bitmine right there is above circle, there's Robinhood and even
- 11:23Speaker 1: roadblocks in there, Palenteer holding in coinbase, and Tasla out
- 11:27Speaker 1: rounding out. So it's very possible we could start to
- 11:29Speaker 1: see once Polymarket starts to actually drop a token, then
- 11:33Speaker 1: we'll get a chance, I think, to start to see
- 11:35Speaker 1: some activity in other markets around this Calshi versus Polymarket.
- 11:40Speaker 1: This is where the key opinion leader wars have begun.
- 11:44Speaker 1: I don't know about this because you know I'm watching
- 11:47Speaker 1: this on X all the time. It's interesting because of
- 11:51Speaker 1: there seems to be a division. It seems like almost
- 11:53Speaker 1: cultish like where you get the Calshi people and you
- 11:56Speaker 1: get the Polymarket people. I'm gonna run some polls out
- 11:58Speaker 1: there to see what you guys. And by the way,
- 12:01Speaker 1: let me know down in the comments, which one are
- 12:04Speaker 1: you using? Which one do you believe is going to
- 12:06Speaker 1: win here at least in the United States. Remember Calhi
- 12:09Speaker 1: is actually in now and in fact embedded into robin
- 12:12Speaker 1: Hood and is legal here in the United States, where
- 12:16Speaker 1: Polymarket is not there yet and not necessarily embedded into
- 12:20Speaker 1: any kind of crypto exchanges. That could kind of help
- 12:23Speaker 1: onboard a massive audience. So let me know what you
- 12:25Speaker 1: guys think. But if you end up winning a community,
- 12:28Speaker 1: and remember Polymarket Global versus Calshi mostly US, this will
- 12:33Speaker 1: get interesting fast if you consider the exposure.
- 12:36Speaker 2: To the Web three community through the AG layer.
- 12:38Speaker 1: You've got to look at this right here, as Polygon
- 12:41Speaker 1: is now collaborating with Immutable again, a lot of games
- 12:44Speaker 1: launching there on plays Polygon's Immutable plays polygon Hub, and
- 12:50Speaker 1: this could open up some opportunities here to tie all
- 12:52Speaker 1: this together. So still another big benefit I think in general,
- 12:57Speaker 1: And just to take a look on RBA's Polygon holding
- 13:00Speaker 1: the number three slot right now, so above Arbitram and
- 13:03Speaker 1: above Avalanche and even Aptos, so those in themselves, I
- 13:07Speaker 1: think continue to hold down a great opportunity where all
- 13:10Speaker 1: this is going. All right, So if you go over
- 13:11Speaker 1: to the Polygon chart, I'm going into the Mattic chart
- 13:13Speaker 1: here just to show you the age. But look at
- 13:16Speaker 1: the high on where Polygon was at around two eighty nine.
- 13:19Speaker 1: This is coming back in of course in December of
- 13:21Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, last top of the bull market to
- 13:25Speaker 1: where we are now, and we are holding it around
- 13:28Speaker 1: right at twenty three point twenty three as we're making
- 13:32Speaker 1: this video today, even under where Polygon actually got kicked off,
- 13:37Speaker 1: which was around thirty three cent. So this may be
- 13:40Speaker 1: the time, guys, if we're going to see a breakout
- 13:43Speaker 1: on something, this might be an opportunity where Polygon could
- 13:47Speaker 1: get a little bit of a run here. And if
- 13:50Speaker 1: you just take a look at that furtherest down to
- 13:53Speaker 1: where it is right there, Look at that growth right there.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That's still a fifty three percent move just in a
- 13:57Speaker 1: very short period of time and nothing has really been
- 14:01Speaker 1: transitioned yet. And it's still very very early in this
- 14:05Speaker 1: ecosystem around defive prediction markets and how Polygon can tie
- 14:09Speaker 1: into all of this. So we're going to be covering
- 14:12Speaker 1: this and a lot more. Of course, the markets are
- 14:13Speaker 1: on fire today. We'll get a lot more of that
- 14:16Speaker 1: to you. Make sure and subscribe if you're not already
- 14:18Speaker 1: part of PBN. And of course you can also jump
- 14:21Speaker 1: into our own Diamond Circle, which is our private group.
- 14:24Speaker 1: We leave a link down below, follow me out there
- 14:26Speaker 1: on X at Paul Baron. We'll catch you next time
- 14:29Speaker 1: right here on the Paul Baron Show.
