  But one thing I found, no matter whom you talk to, everybody has a different theory on UFOs.

  Are they from outer space, further dimensions?

  Are they coming from, you know, just a different realm?

  Or are they coming from right here? or the alien.

  To our planet or are they actually maybe
• 1:44
  just us and you

  know you remember we talked about a few

  episodes um where i said why is

  it that human beings we just don't seem to
• 1:57
  be adaptive to this planet yeah you know we

  gotta hide from the sun hide from this and why is that

  if unless we are are not from this planet so i
• 2:06
  had a lot of theories and we were
• 2:09
  contacted by leslie and stephen shaw
• 2:13
  and they are authors of the book who they
• 2:16
  are and what they're up to and i immediately purchased this book i read it and
• 2:23
  it was a real page turner and it made so much sense to me i love the style of
• 2:28
  writing and i sat and i got over there like tons of sticky notes from because
• 2:33
  Because I was doing this while I was at work.
• 2:34
  It stuns. It is. And I took all these notes down because there were so many
• 2:39
  interesting things, so many things I didn't even know about.
• 2:42
  Yeah. And that's what I love when you talk to people who are into that same subject matter.

  You get that feedback and you start finding more things out about,
• 2:51
  you know, the subject matter.

  And I was floored by all this. Hell yeah. Yeah, you were. You were so excited.

  Yeah. I was like, oh my God, he's so giddy.

  Yep. So I want everybody to go out there and purchase this book.

  Leslie and Stephen Shaw. How are you both doing?

  so much for having me. Thank you for having us. Yes, it's our pleasure.

  Yeah, welcome to the Eye Opener Society. I'd like for you guys to start off.
• 3:24
  I mean, I said you guys are the authors, but every author starts somewhere on
• 3:29
  why they wrote on their subject matter. Could you guys give a little background on both of you?
• 3:35
  Go ahead. Talk about your background first. I was a journalist for the last
• 3:40
  20 years, and so I'm the writer in the family.
• 3:44
  Of course, Steve does some writing, too. But Stephen, his family were more the
• 3:50
  experiencers of the phenomenon.
• 3:52
  They were the ones targeted by the alien abduction phenomenon.
• 3:56
  And also, Stephen is a medical man. He has a much stronger education in sciences
• 4:02
  than I did, And I desperately needed his help,
• 4:05
  you know, with geology papers and medical journals and stuff.
• 4:11
  So we were actually a pretty good writing team.
• 4:13
  But Leslie also, she went to CalArts and she had a minor in ancient art history
• 4:18
  and also a major in experimental animation.
• 4:23
  And she's had a lot of experience both in television and also in newspaper writing.
• 4:28
  And she's actually, you know, she's actually very, very intelligent.
• 4:31
  And so it's, so we make, we make a, we make a good pair, you know,
• 4:37
  she, she tends to forget that, you know, the, how much, you know, she actually knows.
• 4:42
  So for myself, um, I, I, I grew up in a family that, that, uh,
• 4:49
  grew up in wartime England in England and Manchester and Oldham,
• 4:54
  you know, they're getting all the bombs dropped down on them and all that.
• 4:57
  My dad joined the RAF, Royal Air Force, when he was 18, did two years of that.
• 5:04
  Then he was a Bobby, a cop, basically, for four years after that.
• 5:09
  And then my parents, they moved to California.
• 5:14
  My aunt and uncle had already come to California. They said,
• 5:18
  hey, come over. California's great. Right.
• 5:20
  So my family, especially on the female side, for four generations going back
• 5:28
  from Germany to England and then to California,
• 5:32
  almost all the women in the family were what you call automatic writers.
• 5:37
  They would go into a trance.
• 5:40
  Generally, not what they tried to do, but they basically felt like they had to write.
• 5:47
  Yeah, they'd feel like an urge. to feel like an urge and i certainly saw my
• 5:51
  mom do it on several different occasions when i was young i mean she she knew
• 5:55
  about people that had died her mother her father and her uncle her uncle clifford
• 6:00
  uh and we were you know when i was 9 10 and 11 years old you know they she told me,
• 6:07
  he picked me up from school one one day and uh was just bawling and said mommy
• 6:12
  what's wrong and she She said, you know, my mom just died.
• 6:15
  I said, well, you know, did you get a call? This is 1969, by the way.
• 6:19
  Okay. So no, no smartphones, nothing like that. Right.
• 6:23
  And so she said, no, I, you know, old Glegly, who I was told from being the
• 6:30
  age of three, old Glegly was our family protector, family spirit guide that
• 6:36
  had been with the family for quite a long time.
• 6:39
  Since then, we found out different things about that.
• 6:42
  But anyway so yes so about a day later we got a call from england saying that
• 6:47
  her mother had slipped down uh some cobblestone steps and rebroke her hip and
• 6:53
  she died from the complications and,
• 6:56
  this happened again and again so you know this family spirit guy protector i
• 7:02
  grew up from the age of three knowing about this it wasn't until my brother
• 7:07
  in 1982 who is no longer with us.
• 7:12
  When he was 16, he saw what this description of old Gleggly was.
• 7:19
  Always described as a tall, skinny, about six and a half feet tall entity that
• 7:25
  frequently would appear as being black, sometimes wearing a hat,
• 7:31
  and would help people sometimes and would save their lives on occasion.
• 7:35
  He saw this entity as a tall grape.
• 7:41
  And this was, you know, we weren't like reading anything about science fiction at that time in 1982.
• 7:47
  And so but I had seen this entity also when I was 18 in 1979 in January.
• 7:55
  But the entity appeared as a tall, skinny, blue, white being that was shimmery,
• 8:04
  that brought blue, white light in with it into the house. when I was sleeping on the couch.
• 8:10
  I was sleeping on the couch because I had become afraid to sleep in my bedroom
• 8:15
  because of what had been happening. Yeah, all kinds of bizarre phenomenon.
• 8:19
  This is stuff that was happening at the same time with my brother and my mom
• 8:24
  who were living at a house that we were actually building ourselves because
• 8:28
  we were cabinet makers and carpenters.
• 8:31
  We were building a house up in the woods in Sonora, California,
• 8:34
  which is 350 miles away. And my dad, my sister, and I were working the job as
• 8:40
  cabinet makers in Woodland Hills, California.
• 8:43
  And we were all having experiences at the same time.
• 8:48
  So anyway, to make a long story short, this entity approached me at 5.30 in
• 8:53
  the morning in mid-January of 1979,
• 8:57
  paralyzed the right side of my body, and whispered in my right ear.
• 9:03
  Here, not in my head, whisper in my right ear, said, hi, Steve,
• 9:07
  just kind of in a whisper.
• 9:10
  And a part of me was saying, oh, I'm going to see the family spirit guide,
• 9:14
  O'Gleggly, that I'd heard about, and then the other half of me was saying,
• 9:18
  you know, dude, you can't move,
• 9:22
  you can't even open and close your right eye, your right eye is open,
• 9:25
  but you can't close it, and so I was like, I was trying to strain to try and
• 9:30
  see the face, but I was definitely awake, It wasn't any sleep paralysis or anything like that.
• 9:36
  So anyway, so the entity, I guess, figured I was, that's all it wanted to do,
• 9:42
  or I was too afraid, whatever.
• 9:43
  And it went back out the front door with the blue-white light,
• 9:48
  and then I just blacked out.
• 9:51
  So, Miko, again, six hours later, it's 1130 in the morning. My dad and I are
• 9:57
  getting hungry. We're workmen, right?
• 9:59
  So I reached into the right side pocket of the clothes I'd been wearing when I went to sleep.

  I pulled out the coins and I put them on the table and all the coins were all magnetized.
• 10:12
  These are standard american coins 1979 and
• 10:16
  i could pick up the coins by whatever angle the
• 10:20
  side the edge didn't matter
• 10:23
  there were a couple nails in there too but you know that's no
• 10:26
  big deal six penny nails are easy to magnetize but the
• 10:29
  coins you can't do my dad could pick them up i
• 10:32
  could pick them up and we did not know what the
• 10:35
  thing yeah it's supposed to be impossible to magnetize coins
• 10:39
  but this was like something that had been happening in the
• 10:41
  family strange stuff like this and
• 10:44
  then they would black out they'd see something bizarre and then
• 10:47
  black out lose consciousness so yeah so then about about the age of 30 31 i
• 10:54
  decided to do some of my own research because of another event that had happened
• 10:58
  that i just could not explain and i thought you know what but there's got to
• 11:03
  be more to this than just a family spirit guide.
• 11:07
  So that's when I started doing that. So the motivation for reading the book
• 11:11
  actually really happened when Leslie saw her first UFO.
• 11:15
  Yeah. You know, being the writer in the family had to do most of the outlining
• 11:19
  and the work and the typing.
• 11:22
  I didn't decide to write it until I'd seen my first UFO too.
• 11:27
  I believed him. It's not like I didn't believe the stories he was telling me,
• 11:31
  but you know, there's that, like little kernel of doubt.
• 11:35
  Yeah. A little tiny kernel of doubt until you see it yourself. Right.
• 11:39
  And, um, Steve is a, uh,
• 11:42
  He saw three UFOs before I saw my first. And it was in Joshua Tree, driving at night.
• 11:50
  He was in shotgun and I was driving. And I looked through the windshield up
• 11:54
  ahead and saw white light in the sky that was about twice as bright as Venus.
• 11:58
  Yeah, we both saw it. And it kind of looked like a plane coming into Palm Springs Airport at first.
• 12:05
  But then it didn't have the running light, blinky lights.
• 12:08
  And it stopped behaving like a plane. It stopped over the highway that we were
• 12:14
  on and just got brighter and brighter and brighter. It was hovering.
• 12:19
  And then it took off over the northern horizon and gone in less than a quarter of a second.
• 12:24
  It was kind of like a trail behind you. Yeah, it was so fast that visually it
• 12:28
  streaked out into a line that collapsed in on itself.
• 12:31
  And I thought, well, you know, there's many things that can be a white light
• 12:34
  in the sky, can be any number of things.
• 12:36
  But when it moves at 20,000 miles an hour from a dead stop to at full speed,
• 12:43
  it's not like it ramped up to 20,000. It just suddenly shot away at that speed.
• 12:48
  And then we saw our most recent one.
• 12:50
  Let's not go into any more UFOs, because this is the reason I decided about
• 12:54
  then, I said, we really have to write a book, you know.
• 12:57
  A lot of, you know, we'd seen every UFO program in that television or movies
• 13:03
  or whatever. And read a lot, too.
• 13:05
  I saw them reading back 35 years ago. Had to offer, you know.
• 13:09
  And I kept seeing these people looking up at the sky going, who are they?
• 13:16
  Why are they taking me? Why are they abducting me? Why are they murdering my
• 13:20
  cattle? Who are they? What do they want?
• 13:23
  And I kept seeing this lost look hundreds of times with these people.
• 13:27
  And I thought to myself, well, we have a theory.
• 13:30
  Let's share our theory, you know.
• 13:35
  Yeah, we're going to get into the theories to on the second part.
• 13:38
  I wanted to save that because there's a lot to talk about with that.
• 13:42
  But for right now, your book, who they are and what they're up to real quick,

  Stephen, he skipped over his own credential.

  Stephen was a Tai Chi master and an acupuncturist by profession.

  He's retired from acupuncture now. And he's an orchestral musician, a brilliant musician.

  But all those years, his family is ridiculous psychic.
• 14:46
  I can't begin to explain how psychic they are.
• 14:49
  He's constantly pulling my thoughts out of my
• 14:52
  my head you know sometimes words that don't even exist
• 14:55
  yeah and frankly it's annoying cut it out no just kidding and that's what i
• 15:01
  actually liked because when i first started reading the book the first chapter
• 15:04
  did open up where um you had explained all this and that's what i really enjoyed
• 15:09
  because in my own world you know i'm the same way. I'm very much into meditation.
• 15:15
  Most of our podcast is about meditation, mindfulness and relaxation.
• 15:21
  And people don't realize when you do get into these deep meditative states at
• 15:26
  times, you are opening yourself up to say other worlds.
• 15:31
  I guess that's the best way to really explain it. Um, because we live in this
• 15:35
  three dimensional kind of world that everybody Everybody knows,
• 15:38
  and it's so easy to get around.
• 15:40
  Yeah. But once you're meditating, you realize just how much more there is to
• 15:47
  life, to the world, to yourself, to your own being.
• 15:52
  And I appreciated reading that because it did open up some doors,
• 15:57
  even to me, where I heard theories that
• 16:01
  a lot of aliens use that
• 16:05
  as a portal and that they're coming from another dimension and
• 16:09
  these are thoughts that i even had um but then
• 16:12
  i had that same question if they're
• 16:15
  coming from all the worlds how are
• 16:18
  they surviving in our atmosphere and then that's right your theories which we
• 16:23
  will get to your theories kind of a lot of for me and i really did i was like
• 16:28
  oh wow man you gotta read this book yeah no i have a kiddo i don't know if you
• 16:33
  guys have I've listened to any of our shows, but I talk about them quite frequently,
• 16:36
  I would say. And, you know, so I'm like.
• 16:40
  I will find time to read it. I tried to read a little bit of like cliff notes
• 16:43
  about the book, you know, but I haven't gotten to read it yet.

  But I'm excited to read it. You know, it's just something that,
• 16:49
  you know, it's Gary's passion.

  So I always like to have an open mind. And, you know, he goes into my passion sometimes.

  So I definitely have to return the favor. And, you know, he explained it,

  you know, the book to me a little bit.

  And, you know, he was just like raving about it. So I hats off to you guys,

  We were at Big Bear for the July 4th festivals, and we had a little booth with

  our sign and trying to sell our book.

  And a lot of people were laughing at us, I think, because it's the subject it is, right?

  And it was kind of a bust. We only sold one book. Yeah, one book.
• 17:59
  And then this guy walks up and hands us his card, and he wants to do a documentary on us.

  And it was it turned out to be wonderful uh
• 18:08
  it dropped last friday uh we love the production quality it's called who they
• 18:13
  are and um it's on youtube it's on uh youtube with uh what's the sky sky island
• 18:22
  storytelling sky island storytelling thank you and also um uh.

  Anyway, oh, and it's got like almost 150,000 views now.

  That's amazing. It's really been
• 18:33
  taking off. We saw three. It was 100,000 views in like almost 24 hours.

  That's amazing. It is amazing. And I watched it and it was very good.

  And it's great because I know a lot of people nowadays, for whatever reason,
• 18:49
  they don't like to read anymore. And I love to read.

  Yeah. Watching this YouTube, it actually summarizes a lot of the book.

  Book so this way you get an idea but if you

  really are into it you really should read the book because i think there's so much

  more and i will make sure i have a link to that too because

  uh leslie and steven you guys went from that fantastic uh documentary right
• 19:11
  down to our production value which is zero so i do apologize for that we don't

  have much we were we were shocked at just how good it was yeah we were expecting
• 19:21
  it but uh you know when we when i started writing
• 19:24
  the book, I thought, I have to assume that some people are going to pick it
• 19:29
  up that know nothing about UFOs, right?
• 19:32
  And then other people are going to pick it up that know everything about UFOs, you know?
• 19:35
  And so I, the first two chapters, I kind of had to do a crash UFO course,
• 19:42
  you know, almost, they're almost in bullet points, you know,
• 19:46
  and then this happened and this happened and this happened.
• 19:48
  If you want a short version of, you know, the UFO history in In the United States
• 19:54
  of America, it's a good source for just that.
• 19:57
  But then we were able to get into our theories in Chapter 3 and start.

  Now we've brought everyone up to where at least they know something about the
• 20:05
  UFO phenomenon in our country. And now we can begin to discuss our theories.

  You know, an interesting thing here, because you went to meditation,
• 20:14
  obviously, and into like, you know, there's more dimensions and more frequencies.
• 20:20
  I can tell Elizondo's thing. Well, I'm going to tell a couple things here.
• 20:24
  Okay. That's okay. As an example...

  I'm still very in touch with even pre-cog type stuff, okay?
• 20:34
  And every once in a while, I will have these things happen, right?
• 20:38
  So this gentleman, Jeremy Norrie,
• 20:41
  who was going to come over and do the filming, which he did a great job.
• 20:45
  He used two cameras, one black and white, and then one color, as you noticed, right?
• 20:50
  Well, two days before he came over, this had met the guy like on July 4th, right? Right.
• 20:55
  So anyways, I told Leslie, he said, I had this dream. I was sitting down with
• 21:00
  Jeremy at our table and it was very specific.
• 21:03
  I said, ask him these two questions and she can back me up on this.
• 21:07
  I said, he's going to be going to Arizona very soon because he's got a need to go there.
• 21:13
  And he's got something going on with his left shoulder area.
• 21:17
  There's pain going on there.
• 21:19
  I said, please ask him this. okay
• 21:22
  so it's not like any mentalism type thing and as
• 21:25
  he was setting up i said you know i had a dream
• 21:28
  and uh leslie wants to ask you these
• 21:31
  two questions and sure enough he was
• 21:35
  planning on going to arizona like almost
• 21:38
  immediately there's next project and he'd been
• 21:41
  over exercising and he had hurt his left shoulder
• 21:44
  and his left chest he i literally had
• 21:47
  a conversation with him in the dream
• 21:50
  state or the lucid dreaming state uh and
• 21:54
  um you know that's i still get this stuff to
• 21:57
  this day at 64 you're very in tune which is
• 21:59
  great it's phenomenal you know and i think it's important
• 22:02
  that like you hold on to that and make sure you never
• 22:05
  try to close that part of your you know it's a gift don't close yeah because
• 22:10
  it's a very powerful gift we we for many years We've been saying that there's
• 22:17
  a connection between psychic abilities and the UFO phenomenon or the abduction phenomenon.
• 22:26
  I have actually read accounts, many accounts, where people, you know,
• 22:31
  they look up in the sky and they see a UFO cruising across.
• 22:35
  And they think to themselves, oh, my God, a UFO.
• 22:39
  And then the UFO reacts to them seeing it.
• 22:43
  It stops and starts to come towards them.
• 22:47
  It's like they can sense when they're being observed.
• 22:52
  And sure enough, this came out recently.
• 22:55
  Luis Elizondo's new book, he says, you know, he was with the government's ATEM program.
• 23:01
  And he was saying that we've done MRIs on abductees, and their brains are very
• 23:08
  similar to those with ESP or remote viewing abilities.
• 23:12
  So there's definitely a connection. It's one of these things where I think they
• 23:16
  are targeting people with extrasensory perception.
• 23:20
  Up the actual area is called the parahippocampal gyrus
• 23:23
  okay because and uh yes gesundheit and
• 23:27
  it's just something that yes you know some
• 23:30
  people are wired just a little differently some people have
• 23:33
  the ability and also to like meditation like what you
• 23:36
  do and like what i've done and still do is like
• 23:38
  it uh you have to slow down the
• 23:41
  brainwave frequencies to even have a chance like you
• 23:44
  know right now we're at 30 to 40 cycles per second because
• 23:47
  we're on video but you know you get down to
• 23:50
  doing meditation you can get as low as from two
• 23:53
  to four cycles per second you know in the deep delta tai chi you get down to
• 23:58
  about 11 so yeah you know moving meditation it's a really apt description for
• 24:03
  tai chi moving meditation and the different part different parts of the world
• 24:08
  open It's, it's the truth.
• 24:11
  It is. And I'll tell you this too.
• 24:14
  What's, um, before we go on to the second half, being that we're connecting
• 24:19
  meditation with this and Hannah, I know you heard me talk about this all the time.
• 24:23
  I'm not sure since, I mean, if you're in the field and you know,
• 24:26
  you study, have you heard the name, uh, Dr. Stephen Greer?
• 24:30
  Oh, yeah, sure. Yeah. He's the same one. And what I found so amazing with his
• 24:35
  show, when he said the same thing, he says, in order to see these things,
• 24:39
  you have to be in this ultra meditative state.
• 24:43
  And that brings these beings. Now, I'm not so sure like where these beings are
• 24:48
  coming from, if they're coming from other dimensions or just exactly what they are.
• 24:52
  Because I think there's a big difference between what you guys wrote about in
• 24:56
  your book and as far as your theories as to fall as what's out there.

  And we're going to be getting into this, but I wanted to wrap up this first

  But more and more, I'm believing they are from here.

  Earth. Earth is their home base and we may be byproducts of them.
