- 1:42Speaker 1: Whistles Wine Wine, Welcome to the show. Blow that whistle please,
- 1:49Speaker 1: thank you very much. Uh. Breaking news was Arkansas fired
- 1:53Speaker 1: their coach? It is crazy. I'm glad I didn't go
- 1:56Speaker 1: to the game.
- 1:57Speaker 4: When did that happen? What the fire? The firing?
- 2:00Speaker 1: Sunday? Sunday? Yeah, Sunday, like in the first hour of
- 2:04Speaker 1: the NFL games. Because me being the husband that I am,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I told my wife because I watched all football. I
- 2:11Speaker 1: watched that Virginia game was that Thursday at our front. Okay,
- 2:15Speaker 1: so I watched a lot of that game. Watched football
- 2:17Speaker 1: all day Saturday, and then I knew I was going
- 2:20Speaker 1: to watch a lot Sunday, which is obvious. And she
- 2:22Speaker 1: was like, Hey, what part of the day can we go,
- 2:27Speaker 1: like to the mall and go? And I was like,
- 2:29Speaker 1: can we go in the morning Sunday? Think about Sunday mornings.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Nothing's open Sunday mornings, nothing opens until noon? Yes? Smart? What?
- 2:37Speaker 5: Well?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Smart? You said?
- 2:39Speaker 4: You said, well, I'm open in the morning, dumb. So
- 2:43Speaker 4: it's like she's like, well, I only got you in
- 2:44Speaker 4: the morning when everything's closed, dumb.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Because it was I needed to be there when it opened.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So we did some stuff from like twelve to one thirty,
- 2:52Speaker 1: which I didn't really care about because it's kind of
- 2:55Speaker 1: a crappy slate of games, at least on the surface,
- 2:57Speaker 1: and even the games that ended up being pretty good,
- 3:00Speaker 1: really who cares. So we went to the mall. And
- 3:04Speaker 1: while we were at the mall shopping for all kinds
- 3:07Speaker 1: of crap, and we had lunch, and then I get
- 3:09Speaker 1: my phone up and it's like Sam Pitman fired, so
- 3:12Speaker 1: it had to be in that window. But yeah, I
- 3:13Speaker 1: saw it on Twitter. I knew it was gonna happen. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 1: I was told by a couple of people before the
- 3:17Speaker 1: game that there were gonna be some changes regardless of
- 3:20Speaker 1: what happened after the Notre Dame game. If we would
- 3:23Speaker 1: have won, I think they probably would have changed a
- 3:25Speaker 1: coordinator or so. If we would have lost, maybe a coordinator.
- 3:29Speaker 1: But because we got beat so bad, it was you
- 3:31Speaker 1: gotta go and move off the coach, so they caught him.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It sucks to somebody lose their job, and the more
- 3:37Speaker 1: adult I get, the more I hate to see someone
- 3:39Speaker 1: lose their job. But it was time for that job
- 3:41Speaker 1: to switch, and so we'll talk about it later.
- 3:43Speaker 4: That's a good point because when you're younger, you're just
- 3:45Speaker 4: like fire up, yes.
- 3:46Speaker 6: Yeah, Well, and you have a personal relationship with the
- 3:50Speaker 6: guy and you can't help but to have that at
- 3:51Speaker 6: least conflicted a little bit.
- 3:55Speaker 1: I don't know. It's like, the worst he got, the
- 3:57Speaker 1: more I didn't have a relationship, and you're like, I
- 4:00Speaker 1: haven't seen him in a few years, mostly because we
- 4:04Speaker 1: weren't like close friends anyway, and there really weren't a
- 4:08Speaker 1: lot of instances that I'd reach out to be like, hey,
- 4:10Speaker 1: this is going good, congratulations. Yeah, so there wasn't a
- 4:13Speaker 1: reason to reach out. True. I called him once, he
- 4:18Speaker 1: called me once. I was looking at buying a house
- 4:20Speaker 1: in Hot Springs. I think we talked about that, go
- 4:22Speaker 1: to the game, see him a little bit. But then
- 4:25Speaker 1: it just it went downhill.
- 4:26Speaker 4: When when do you think he kind of had the
- 4:28Speaker 4: idea that he was getting fired. Well, I think last
- 4:31Speaker 4: year for a while, okay, but then that went away.
- 4:34Speaker 1: I think the Tennessee win last year was so big
- 4:36Speaker 1: for the program that that allowed him to keep his job.
- 4:40Speaker 1: I think when Memphis happened.
- 4:42Speaker 6: But like halftime of Notre Dame game, he had to
- 4:44Speaker 6: be in there like damn, oh, this is my last half.
- 4:47Speaker 6: I'm done.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I think after Memphis he knew this was going to
- 4:49Speaker 1: be his last year. I think at Notre Dame half
- 4:53Speaker 1: he knew this is probably going to be his last game,
- 4:55Speaker 1: especially going into the bye week. That sucks. So yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 1: it was a crazy weekend. I want to even say
- 5:00Speaker 1: Bad is embarrassing to get beat that bad on national television,
- 5:04Speaker 1: But I think we kind of needed that to go ahead.
- 5:07Speaker 1: And tear off the band aid. What's crazy is and
- 5:10Speaker 1: it's probably not as crazy from the outside looking in,
- 5:13Speaker 1: but the fact that Bobby Petrino's our head coach again
- 5:15Speaker 1: is wild. Considering when he went out like it was
- 5:19Speaker 1: like a flame, a fireball on its way out because
- 5:23Speaker 1: he wrecked the freaking motorcycle fingercoil. There was a whole
- 5:26Speaker 1: situation where he was. Yeah, he paid somebody to work
- 5:30Speaker 1: for It was a whole thing.
- 5:31Speaker 6: I just picture him in a neck brace every time
- 5:33Speaker 6: we bring this up.
- 5:34Speaker 1: I just picture him maybe like a boot, a cast
- 5:36Speaker 1: and leg, just standing there in the neck brace and
- 5:39Speaker 1: people that worked for him talk about how terrible he
- 5:42Speaker 1: was to work for. Now he won games. He won eleven,
- 5:45Speaker 1: he won ten. He won a lot of games, and
- 5:48Speaker 1: I don't work for you. Just win. Yeah, just win.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And if they don't want to work for you, they
- 5:52Speaker 1: don't have to. But it's bizarre that he's the head
- 5:56Speaker 1: coach again. I think there's almost no chance he keeps
- 5:59Speaker 1: that job after this year. I think he's gonna need
- 6:02Speaker 1: to win six, seven, six or seven games, unwinnable games.
- 6:07Speaker 4: You got a tough schedule coming out, Yeah, I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 4: it's awful.
- 6:11Speaker 1: We go to Tennessee in two weeks. That'll be his
- 6:13Speaker 1: first game. I was thinking about going over and just
- 6:15Speaker 1: watching it, you know, a.
- 6:17Speaker 4: Little hoping a skit hours away.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Little Bobby for Bobby. Here we go, let's get it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: One Bobby for another Bobby.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Now, can you watch the rest of the season kind
- 6:25Speaker 6: of like, yeah, hey, whatever happens happened.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I can watch the rest of the season just purely rooting,
- 6:30Speaker 1: without wondering what happens if it doesn't go right, because
- 6:33Speaker 1: I was rooting for us hard. But at the same time,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm going about halftime. Man, if we don't put up
- 6:41Speaker 1: a fight, it's over. We're just gonna turn the page.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And I think it'd be best for everybody to turn
- 6:44Speaker 1: the page. Yeah, yeah, So it's weird. It's weird when
- 6:47Speaker 1: you know the people that are getting fired. It's weird
- 6:49Speaker 1: when you know the people that are doing the firing.
- 6:51Speaker 1: So it's weird when you're giving money to the place
- 6:53Speaker 1: that's doing the firing because they sucked it and use
- 6:55Speaker 1: your money, right, I can't imagine what that feels like.
- 6:57Speaker 1: But I'm not even I'm not even the the whales.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm not even that the big tunas like I am.
- 7:04Speaker 4: But still it's money, man, and like you give it
- 7:06Speaker 4: to it to an organization to do something good with it.
- 7:09Speaker 1: And I've given hundreds of thousands of dollars in the
- 7:12Speaker 1: past few years, hundreds of thousands of dollars in the
- 7:17Speaker 1: past few years. That hurts, And I think that makes
- 7:20Speaker 1: you more sensitive about it because you're like, I'm paying
- 7:23Speaker 1: this in and I don't really use it for anything.
- 7:25Speaker 1: If we were good, i'd want to have access and
- 7:28Speaker 1: be up there. But when we suck, like they called
- 7:30Speaker 1: before the Notre Dame game, I'll just say they they
- 7:33Speaker 1: called and they said, hey, you still want your sweet tickets?
- 7:38Speaker 1: And I said, it's an interesting question for the weekend
- 7:41Speaker 1: for that game, okay. And I was like, I said why,
- 7:45Speaker 1: like you've never called before asking and they say, yeah,
- 7:48Speaker 1: everybody's backing out. Oh wow. And I said, you know,
- 7:53Speaker 1: well why And Caitlin's pregnant and she's not really wanting
- 7:58Speaker 1: to fly. And I was like, you know, that's a
- 8:00Speaker 1: perfect excuse. So I said, I said, we're going to
- 8:05Speaker 1: hang back. Reason, Yes, we're going to hang back. They
- 8:10Speaker 1: knew it wasn't personal. Reason Yeah, but that didn't good thing.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You didn't go man, yeah, but here we are. We're
- 8:16Speaker 1: actually recording this on late Sunday because I got a
- 8:20Speaker 1: flight I gotta catch quickly after the show Monday to
- 8:22Speaker 1: get to New York. So we're actually fresh after the
- 8:25Speaker 1: NFL games. We can go roll through some notes here.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I have written notes, random notes, and let us go
- 8:31Speaker 1: through them. Number one, our WTF parlay, it did not hit.
- 8:36Speaker 1: We did not expect it to hit. Yeah, it was
- 8:38Speaker 1: over immediately on Saturday. We said, WTF.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it just went away.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I told you don't bet this. So the WTF parlay
- 8:49Speaker 1: of Arkansas winning and the Cowboys winning, we're at the
- 8:51Speaker 1: time we'll recording this. We have no idea what the
- 8:53Speaker 1: Cowboys did. They probably want you think so.
- 8:56Speaker 4: No, I really don't think so.
- 9:00Speaker 1: It was an odd day. I mean, look at the Giants.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Yeah, the Giants and the Chargers the Bill the bill
- 9:07Speaker 4: Art is a close game, the Saints making it a
- 9:09Speaker 4: weird close game.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, weird close games though that happens all the time.
- 9:13Speaker 1: The actually actually seeing a team lose. I was surprised
- 9:16Speaker 1: to see the Chargers, undefeated lose to the Giants. Jackson
- 9:19Speaker 1: Art look pretty good. He ran the ball a lot
- 9:22Speaker 1: at the beginning of the game and then he gets
- 9:24Speaker 1: his bell rung and it's like, yeah, if you run
- 9:26Speaker 1: them with a guy eleven times, yeah that early. Uh.
- 9:29Speaker 1: And he came back and they ended up winning the game.
- 9:31Speaker 6: Yeah. And he's a guy that when he runs, even
- 9:33Speaker 6: in college especially, you like, he doesn't go down. He
- 9:35Speaker 6: goes and he goes head first. Yeah, and you're like, dude,
- 9:37Speaker 6: you got a chill. Got a chill for a game.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I didn't see him wearing as many jewels, although I
- 9:41Speaker 1: didn't see a lot of clothes.
- 9:42Speaker 6: A little bit I saw and he scored that touchdown,
- 9:44Speaker 6: he started doing a dance. All I see is a
- 9:46Speaker 6: necklace bouncing up night and up and down.
- 9:48Speaker 1: I was watching on my phone. My wife was cool enough.
- 9:51Speaker 1: We were having dinner at the Nordstrom Cafe and we
- 9:54Speaker 1: go up and she was like, you can watch Red Zone.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Oh that's cool. Wow, we're having lunch. And I was like, well,
- 9:58Speaker 1: I wanted to be dul she does, I don't give
- 9:59Speaker 1: a crap more games, and so she goes, I'll watch
- 10:01Speaker 1: it with you. She's very much a college football person,
- 10:05Speaker 1: not really an NFL person. Yeah, but the Oklahoma Bowl
- 10:08Speaker 1: was happening, and so she was watching Jalen Hurts and
- 10:11Speaker 1: Baker mayfil play each other, and that was one of
- 10:14Speaker 1: the games they kept going back to.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Yeah, that was a great game.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Good game. It was good. Yeah, Bucks came back and fought.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Man, No, she couldn't pull it out this time.
- 10:21Speaker 1: They couldn't pull it out.
- 10:22Speaker 6: We have money time this time, but next time, watch
- 10:25Speaker 6: out next time. Real quick, the giants, the neighbors will
- 10:28Speaker 6: see that.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Yeah towards Ab didn't know so quick that he I
- 10:32Speaker 4: mean I I you see him grab his knee.
- 10:34Speaker 1: You see what happens.
- 10:35Speaker 4: You expect that to happen, for them to come out
- 10:37Speaker 4: real quick and be like, yeah confirmed. How quick was it,
- 10:39Speaker 4: because again I was I'd say thirty minutes.
- 10:41Speaker 6: I saw the notification like an hour or two after.
- 10:44Speaker 1: They know five minutes. They can feel it after they
- 10:47Speaker 1: get it under they know in five minutes.
- 10:48Speaker 4: Okay, I didn't know they need an MRI to like confirm.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Yeah, well I know the achilles because players have talked
- 10:54Speaker 6: about in the past like they felt it and like, yeah,
- 10:56Speaker 6: it's done.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Who tore their achilles recently? It just happened and they
- 11:00Speaker 1: went down. Because when you said that, it's something came
- 11:02Speaker 1: to my mind.
- 11:03Speaker 6: Recent recent. I mean Tatum pops in my head, but
- 11:05Speaker 6: that was six months ago.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Now, No, this is like in the past few days.
- 11:08Speaker 1: He tore his achilles and he goes.
- 11:10Speaker 6: Down and like, oh, Nauji Harris, maybe.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That's who it was. He tore his last week last week,
- 11:16Speaker 1: Yeah it was, and he went down and immediately because
- 11:18Speaker 1: he picked his foot up, it was like, yeah, that's it.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That's what I'm so afraid of doing anything now.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Oh just bending over to pick something up.
- 11:24Speaker 1: It's protecting, protecting my achilles because that is the bad one.
- 11:29Speaker 6: We see it all the time too well.
- 11:31Speaker 4: And then we're older too, and then you see people
- 11:32Speaker 4: doing it playing pickleball, like just little thing, golfing.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Dumb stuff like that. You're like, our friend of mine
- 11:38Speaker 1: stepped off a curb, that's it. And seriously, he is
- 11:42Speaker 1: all muscles, great shape, ripped, stepped off a curb, wrong,
- 11:46Speaker 1: Poppy's achilles and he was on crutches for nine months,
- 11:49Speaker 1: felt like forever. Another note I have speaking of that
- 11:52Speaker 1: Eagles game, the Eagles fake push push had to piss
- 11:55Speaker 1: everybody off. Oh yeah, they ran basically a counter. It
- 11:59Speaker 1: was okay, let's get up to the line and they
- 12:00Speaker 1: handed to Saquon around the edge. Nobody was near him.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And so if you have to watch for the counters,
- 12:07Speaker 1: if you have to watch for anything other than the
- 12:08Speaker 1: touch push, you're not gonna stop the tousch push because
- 12:12Speaker 1: you you need everybody to get down dive bomb that
- 12:15Speaker 1: for a chance, and you're not even gonna stop it then,
- 12:17Speaker 1: so it's over. They were waiting for that. Yeah, they
- 12:20Speaker 1: knew it was gonna work as soon as they drew
- 12:22Speaker 1: it up. Let's let's run the touch push counter. Uh,
- 12:24Speaker 1: Saquon jogged in.
- 12:26Speaker 6: That had to be like a trolling move. Slightly right
- 12:28Speaker 6: with Siriani, Like, you guys are so mad about the
- 12:31Speaker 6: touch push. Here you go take this.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We're not doing it. Yeah.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Another shovel pass is so cool too, Like how they
- 12:37Speaker 4: get away they do that shovel pass to the tight
- 12:39Speaker 4: end from the touch push. Yeah, I just don't know
- 12:42Speaker 4: how you stop that as a defense. Its just it's
- 12:44Speaker 4: just with the with the Eagles, it's it's it's so
- 12:46Speaker 4: hard because like they've got Saquon, they have hurts, and
- 12:50Speaker 4: then you got the passing game. But no, then you
- 12:52Speaker 4: have a tight end that they're gonna shut. They're gonna
- 12:53Speaker 4: shove it to Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I watched the Virginia Florida State game on Friday night. No,
- 12:58Speaker 1: not all of it, the end of it. I'm not
- 12:59Speaker 1: gonna act like I was so dialed in and I
- 13:01Speaker 1: watched all of it because I didn't. But I watched
- 13:04Speaker 1: probably three quarters of the fourth quarter and then the
- 13:09Speaker 1: clip has just been played ten thousand times of that
- 13:11Speaker 1: field storming. Yeah, it's the quickest field storming I've ever seen.
- 13:14Speaker 6: Insane.
- 13:15Speaker 4: It's almost like they were loading up on the side
- 13:17Speaker 4: before it even happened, because.
- 13:18Speaker 1: They were they were loading.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Up on the back of the end soide.
- 13:21Speaker 1: That's it. That's it.
- 13:21Speaker 6: Yeah, And like before you even saw whether you caught
- 13:24Speaker 6: it or not, they were already going.
- 13:25Speaker 1: There's no there was no barrier either. The receiver was
- 13:27Speaker 1: still on the ground ran in.
- 13:30Speaker 5: Ye.
- 13:30Speaker 1: That was awesome. It was great. Luckily there was no
- 13:32Speaker 1: flag because it was an incomplete pass, and luckily there
- 13:36Speaker 1: was no flag anywhere because there could have been a
- 13:38Speaker 1: flat there could have been like a defensive holding on
- 13:39Speaker 1: the other side of the field. Yeah, nothing out. They
- 13:42Speaker 1: had to do like Arizona State did last year and
- 13:43Speaker 1: make everybody get off the field after they had rushed
- 13:46Speaker 1: the field, run another play once. I remember seeing Kentucky
- 13:50Speaker 1: rush the field, jump on the field goal post and
- 13:52Speaker 1: then they end up losing the game.
- 13:54Speaker 6: Is that lsu Yeah right, yeah, yeah.
- 13:56Speaker 1: The kids have to stop with a flipping off though.
- 14:01Speaker 6: Old guy for I was annoyed by looking at me too.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I was like, come on, man, explain, explain why you
- 14:05Speaker 1: say that.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Well, you just see, like I mean, guys, guys, girls, everyone,
- 14:09Speaker 4: and I saw it live. I don't know what picture
- 14:11Speaker 4: you guys are talking about, but when it happened, they
- 14:13Speaker 4: would cut away really quick when they saw but kids
- 14:15Speaker 4: were just running up to the you know, the Florida
- 14:18Speaker 4: State players and just flipping them off right in front
- 14:20Speaker 4: of their face mask.
- 14:21Speaker 1: There was one picture that was going viral of a
- 14:23Speaker 1: guy holding his phone up taking a pick a video
- 14:26Speaker 1: of a Florida State player while flipping them off with
- 14:28Speaker 1: the other hand. Yeah, it's just like you and you
- 14:34Speaker 1: can't do anything back. But if they do, you're like
- 14:38Speaker 1: a kind of like, I understand why you would feel
- 14:41Speaker 1: the need. You can't do it. You gotta be bigger
- 14:43Speaker 1: than that if you lose. But they're triggered because they lost.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They lost it the last and then they didn't lose
- 14:48Speaker 1: on the last play. They had to actually make that catch,
- 14:50Speaker 1: so it wasn't like they were up and lost, but
- 14:52Speaker 1: still you can't. It's also some guy that could have
- 14:54Speaker 1: never played football, right, it's beat up ultimate loser that
- 14:59Speaker 1: never would do do that in that same situation anywhere
- 15:01Speaker 1: other than right then and there where they were protected.
- 15:04Speaker 6: And he wants to go viral. Why he's doing that.
- 15:08Speaker 1: We hate you, dude, We don't like you. We watched the.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Blunt La Garrett Blunt. Yeah, and do it in organ
- 15:13Speaker 6: then do it?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, let's see I wrote missed the first half
- 15:19Speaker 1: of the first games at the mall. I prefer long shorts.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Now here's your note. But here's why I wrote that.
- 15:24Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with football. I was missing
- 15:27Speaker 1: the games, which I was happy to do. And we
- 15:31Speaker 1: went into Lulu Lemon because my wife wanted to get
- 15:35Speaker 1: some pants or something and she's like, I like it
- 15:38Speaker 1: when you wear those shorts instead of the ones that
- 15:40Speaker 1: you wear, and they're like they're like, not even halfway.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Through the quad you were trying them all.
- 15:47Speaker 1: No, they're just on the mannequin and just the legs.
- 15:49Speaker 1: It's not even like full mannequin with the full body.
- 15:52Speaker 1: She's like, I like it when you wear those short shorts,
- 15:55Speaker 1: and I don't think she does. I think she just
- 15:57Speaker 1: hates it when I wear my nineties Church lead basketball
- 16:00Speaker 1: because every pair of shorts I have is that, if
- 16:04Speaker 1: it's not a pair of dress shorts, they all go
- 16:06Speaker 1: down to my knees. It's you know, Chris Webber, It's
- 16:10Speaker 1: it's that, And so I wrote that as a note.
- 16:13Speaker 6: So it's a thing now though it's like a fashion popular.
- 16:17Speaker 1: I have some and I wear them occasionally. I feel
- 16:19Speaker 1: like my balls are coming out of right.
- 16:20Speaker 6: I'll wear them around the house, but out in public,
- 16:22Speaker 6: I'm like, I don't know if I can do this.
- 16:24Speaker 4: Are they workout shorts, Yes, the workouts you can. I
- 16:27Speaker 4: mean you can hang out if you want, because I
- 16:29Speaker 4: have like these nice, nice shorts that are like too high,
- 16:32Speaker 4: and I feel like my nuts are hanging out of
- 16:34Speaker 4: those and like, I don't know, man, they just don't
- 16:36Speaker 4: feel comfortable. I don't think anybody wants to see our
- 16:38Speaker 4: leg that much of our leg. Maybe our wives do.
- 16:41Speaker 1: I don't even think it's that they want to see
- 16:43Speaker 1: our leg. I think it's just the style of the short.
- 16:46Speaker 1: Otherwise it looks extremely dated.
- 16:47Speaker 6: The baggy shorts will make a comeback.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Everything does? I know? Right, But then they're going to
- 16:52Speaker 1: go out of style again if we're using that logic.
- 16:55Speaker 1: But everything that's true. The Steelers backup quarterback Skyler Thompson
- 16:59Speaker 1: got up and robbed in Dublin. They didn't say much
- 17:03Speaker 1: else dangerous. I've been to Dublin. Everybody's drunk.
- 17:09Speaker 4: But I mean you read that a little headline like that,
- 17:11Speaker 4: you're thinking, like, whoa dude not walk the streets of.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Dublin exactly at night? I don't know what time he
- 17:16Speaker 1: was out, but you're exactly right. Everybody's drunk. And I
- 17:20Speaker 1: think a peaky blinders, Like everybody's peaky blinders after like
- 17:24Speaker 1: eleven o'clock. If you're walking, it's nighttime. You're in Dublin.
- 17:27Speaker 1: A bunch of drunk Irish dudes.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Is that peaky blinders?
- 17:30Speaker 1: I don't know if they're Irish. Nob that's what I think.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Yeah, you never seen it.
- 17:35Speaker 4: No, it's like a white game, Okay, Yeah.
- 17:37Speaker 6: And he's on ir so he was probably drinking because
- 17:40Speaker 6: he's not playing right now.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And he stayed yeah, he stayed with the team. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 1: so he's hanging out, so you get robbed what it said, Yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 1: jumped and robbed. That sucks. So if you're like a
- 17:52Speaker 1: professional athlete to have to go back and tell your
- 17:53Speaker 1: boys that you got jumped and robbed, you're an athlete.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Man, You're tough, like be.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Superman like beat him up. He's the one percent over
- 18:02Speaker 1: here in America.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I would make up those ten guys though, Yeah, couldn't
- 18:05Speaker 4: stop them.
- 18:06Speaker 1: They all had gone.
- 18:06Speaker 6: Seen the other nine, you know what I mean?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Yeah, So saw that the Oregon Penn State game was good?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Aw good, Yeah, it was good. I watched all of that,
- 18:18Speaker 1: flipping back and forth between the Alabama Georgia game. Yes,
- 18:22Speaker 1: that was a weird game. I picked Georgia. Our parlay
- 18:25Speaker 1: did not hit because I had Georgia winning. The other
- 18:28Speaker 1: games hit, so that's on me. But I was rooting
- 18:31Speaker 1: for Alabama. I think Calender Boar was a good coach.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I've been saying it even though even with all the losing.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I think he's a good coach. And the lady who
- 18:40Speaker 1: wanted to buy out his contract with the power Ball,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I thought about her, what would you do with eight
- 18:44Speaker 1: hundred million? I buy out Kaitlin Bors contract?
- 18:48Speaker 6: So hi Simpson's legit.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Yeah, he's good.
- 18:51Speaker 6: He throws a beautiful football.
- 18:52Speaker 1: They can run too. And you know he only won
- 18:54Speaker 1: the quarterback competition like right before the seasons.
- 18:57Speaker 6: Yeah, and he lost it to Milroe what two years ago,
- 18:59Speaker 6: last year whatever that was, and stayed, yeah, which is
- 19:02Speaker 6: unheard of.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Love somebody that stays. It's like nes Myer at LSU,
- 19:06Speaker 1: like he stayed. He backed up Jane Daniels for two years. Yeah. Yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 1: so I love somebody that stays. Although Ness Meyer, I
- 19:15Speaker 1: think he's hurt.
- 19:16Speaker 6: There's got to be something. I think it's hurt because
- 19:17Speaker 6: they can't put up twenty points even.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I think he's hurt. It was fun to see Lane
- 19:21Speaker 1: Kiffin win that game. It wasn't about him away so
- 19:24Speaker 1: it was an old miss home game. But the fact
- 19:26Speaker 1: that Lane's daughter is dating with Weeks, the linebacker who
- 19:30Speaker 1: I know from the Netflix series Same. Yeah, they like him.
- 19:33Speaker 6: I mean I liked him too. I like his brothers too,
- 19:35Speaker 6: his old family.
- 19:36Speaker 1: All three of his brothers play for LSU right now. Yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and so to see that Lane Kiffn's daughter's dating the
- 19:41Speaker 1: LSU guy. Weird that Lane Kiffin said before the game
- 19:45Speaker 1: take the over, like they were going to score a
- 19:46Speaker 1: bunch of points. Even just insinuating gambling talk is hilarious.
- 19:49Speaker 1: And then afterward he did it again after they won
- 19:53Speaker 1: the game. So that's fun. It was a fun college
- 19:56Speaker 1: football weekend through the first noon games of the NFL.
- 20:01Speaker 1: It's kind of a boring NFL first round. I loved it, Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: because the Patriots won. Put a whooping on Massacred.
- 20:08Speaker 6: I haven't seen a game like that since that TV
- 20:10Speaker 6: twelve I was back there.
- 20:11Speaker 1: It didn't start good.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Oh I almost tex you guys like, oh no, it's
- 20:15Speaker 6: gonna be a long day.
- 20:16Speaker 4: Hey, no text throughout the day.
- 20:17Speaker 6: I know. I think it's because we knew we were
- 20:19Speaker 6: gonna be hanging out.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Oh no, I didn't.
- 20:21Speaker 6: Oh no, that was just me.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I guess.
- 20:25Speaker 6: Oh you were at lunch, is what it was.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I was at lunch for the first part. And then
- 20:28Speaker 1: everything was going good in the Patriots game, so I
- 20:32Speaker 1: don't need to text anything about that. And the other
- 20:35Speaker 1: game we were caring about.
- 20:36Speaker 6: Was the Eagles and the Eagles and the Bucks, and.
- 20:39Speaker 1: I just didn't want to waste a Hey, then there's
- 20:40Speaker 1: no way Baker can do this again. I know, because
- 20:42Speaker 1: I really didn't think he would in the last two weeks.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I thought maybe he can, because there's plenty of time.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I didn't think he could. And when they were like,
- 20:50Speaker 1: you know, milking it down to like six seconds, I
- 20:53Speaker 1: was like, I'm just gonna let this one go.
- 20:54Speaker 6: Yeah, he tried, but they were down big. I mean
- 20:57Speaker 6: I think they were twenty four to three. Maybe at
- 20:59Speaker 6: one point they had shot too.
- 21:00Speaker 1: He threw that pick a couple of shots. Yeah, Yer
- 21:03Speaker 1: down big. Okay, we're gonna go and talk to Brandon
- 21:05Speaker 1: Marcelo in just a second. So let's take a quick break.
- 21:08Speaker 1: We will talk a lot about Arkansas had football coach
- 21:12Speaker 1: being fired. Who could be next? The Alabama game, the
- 21:15Speaker 1: Oregon game. I got a business idea as well. So
- 21:19Speaker 1: we'll come back right after this football is back. And
- 21:22Speaker 1: so what's your chance to cash in like never before?

- 21:33Speaker 1: or less on two or more player stats from rookies
- 21:38Speaker 1: running the ball, quarterbacks throwing the ball. You know, unlock
- 21:41Speaker 1: the upside every snap brings. For example, let's talk about
- 21:45Speaker 1: the games tonight. Jamar Chase more or less than sixty
- 21:47Speaker 1: four receiving yards versus the Broncos. I'd probably go more
- 21:50Speaker 1: on that one. JK. Dobbins more or less than sixty
- 21:53Speaker 1: five rushing yards versus the Bengals. I'm probably gonna go
- 21:55Speaker 1: more on that one. Yeah, I do a lot of
- 21:57Speaker 1: mores on this. Bownecks more or less than two twenty passing,
- 22:01Speaker 1: I would go less. That's the one I want to
- 22:02Speaker 1: go less on because I don't think they'll need to
- 22:05Speaker 1: throw the ball that much. Now, new Draft Kings customers

- 23:00Speaker 1: Okay, let's go over now to Brandon Marcelo, who writes
- 23:02Speaker 1: for CBS. You can follow him on Instagram at Brandon Marcelo.
- 23:07Speaker 1: His latest article was about the University of Arkansas and
- 23:11Speaker 1: having to move on from Sam Pittman. So here he
- 23:13Speaker 1: is National college football insider Brandon Marcelo. All right, Brandon
- 23:17Speaker 1: Marcelo is on with us. Let's start because it's close
- 23:21Speaker 1: to my heart. And also, you were at the game.
- 23:23Speaker 1: When did you first hear that Sam Pittman was fired?
- 23:26Speaker 5: About when everybody else did. I was actually on the
- 23:28Speaker 5: phone with someone that was in the dark like me,
- 23:34Speaker 5: and I was wondering if kind of that they had
- 23:36Speaker 5: a job still in that building, and that's when the
- 23:40Speaker 5: news broke. I'm kind of told that I guess it
- 23:43Speaker 5: went out to the public about the same time. The
- 23:46Speaker 5: staffers found out just about the same time at Arkansas.
- 23:49Speaker 5: So but yesterday or on Saturday, I should say, it
- 23:53Speaker 5: became pretty clear that something was going to happen one
- 23:57Speaker 5: way or another, whether there's gonna be some staff changes,
- 24:00Speaker 5: head coach. And you know, as i'd been reporting since
- 24:03Speaker 5: the week before last, the idea that the buy out
- 24:07Speaker 5: for him and dropping after a few more losses that
- 24:10Speaker 5: being an issue. I was told that wasn't going to
- 24:12Speaker 5: be an issue if things got bad enough, and losing
- 24:17Speaker 5: by forty three points at home was certainly bad enough.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I made the last minute call not to go to
- 24:22Speaker 1: that game. Would you say that was a good call? Yeah.
- 24:24Speaker 5: Man, I've been to a few games there where you know,
- 24:28Speaker 5: it empties out, it's a blowout or whatever. I've been
- 24:32Speaker 5: to several or two under Pittman where it's been like that.
- 24:35Speaker 5: The Missouri game I think last year or maybe a
- 24:40Speaker 5: couple of years ago, I can't remember which, and it
- 24:42Speaker 5: was like ten fifteen thousand Missouri fans still in the stadium,
- 24:45Speaker 5: and it was kind of just like, wow, what is this?
- 24:47Speaker 5: And then yesterday Saturday was just about as bear as
- 24:53Speaker 5: I've seen it late in the fourth quarter. I mean
- 24:55Speaker 5: I heard player parents yelling at the coaches. You know,
- 24:59Speaker 5: it was like watch a pee wee game, Like, hey,
- 25:01Speaker 5: the put the backups in. I mean, play your parents.
- 25:03Speaker 5: It's not what you expect from the SEC football team.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it sucked, but at least the team, the program
- 25:12Speaker 1: can move forward. Now. Bobby Petrino, I never thought i'd
- 25:15Speaker 1: see the day that he was the head coach again.
- 25:17Speaker 1: He is the interim head coach. Does he have any
- 25:19Speaker 1: shot at retaining that job?
- 25:21Speaker 5: He'd have to do something pretty miraculous. I mean, you
- 25:25Speaker 5: look at the schedule. Five of the last seven opponents
- 25:29Speaker 5: are all ranked, and the other two have a combined
- 25:32Speaker 5: record of seven and three right now. So even the
- 25:36Speaker 5: teams that aren't ranked, Mississippi State and Auburn are pretty good.
- 25:40Speaker 5: So considering how badly this defense has been playing, and
- 25:45Speaker 5: you know the things I've heard about the just the
- 25:47Speaker 5: locker room atmosphere right now, and kind of it's a
- 25:50Speaker 5: bunch of new faces and maybe they're just not kind
- 25:53Speaker 5: of all holding onto the rope at the same time
- 25:55Speaker 5: the same way. It would be the miracle of miracles
- 26:00Speaker 5: if they were to somehow get out of that to
- 26:02Speaker 5: a situation where Arkansas is talking about, you know, an
- 26:07Speaker 5: eight win seasons. I think it'd had to take something
- 26:09Speaker 5: like that for Petrino to even be considered for the
- 26:11Speaker 5: full time gig. Considering his past, He's been given second
- 26:17Speaker 5: chance after second chance, like practically everywhere. I mean this
- 26:20Speaker 5: is Remember he went to Louisville twice. He's been to
- 26:23Speaker 5: Arkansas twice. He got back into coaching by starting back
- 26:27Speaker 5: off at Missouri State and working his way up to
- 26:29Speaker 5: Western Kentucky then Louisville. And I think to me, Bobby,
- 26:35Speaker 5: I don't know about you. Bobby Patrino needs to approach
- 26:39Speaker 5: this opportunity as a moment to walk into the sunset
- 26:43Speaker 5: with his head held high for the first time. We
- 26:47Speaker 5: all know how it ended at Arkansas back in twenty eleven.
- 26:51Speaker 5: I don't think we've ever seen a second opportunity like this.
- 26:54Speaker 5: And he's not going to erase the past, but represent
- 26:58Speaker 5: the program well, do well by yourself and the players,
- 27:02Speaker 5: take care of everybody around you, and go maybe go
- 27:06Speaker 5: win a couple of games and show some passion and
- 27:09Speaker 5: talk about how important the state is to you and
- 27:11Speaker 5: getting this opportunity, and you'll be able to leave when
- 27:14Speaker 5: this is all over with and be able to say
- 27:17Speaker 5: I never thought i'd get my second chance, and I did,
- 27:19Speaker 5: and I feel like I did it the right way.
- 27:21Speaker 1: Let me throw a few coaches at you, and you
- 27:22Speaker 1: tell me if you think there's any shy that Arkansas
- 27:24Speaker 1: lands the coach ratt lastly at SMU.
- 27:27Speaker 5: Yeah, there's a chance he's in a better spot right
- 27:29Speaker 5: now at SMU financially because of the NIL backing all
- 27:33Speaker 5: that stuff and the revenue sharing. But if Arkansas can
- 27:37Speaker 5: get its ducks in a row and throw some support
- 27:40Speaker 5: behind him and show here's our plan, here's our NIL plan.
- 27:44Speaker 5: This is how much money you're gonna get to work with.
- 27:45Speaker 5: This is a structure we're going to provide to you.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Because right now it's not say it's in shambles, but
- 27:51Speaker 5: it's not very good at Arkansas. They need to get
- 27:53Speaker 5: everything put together for that to pitch it to him
- 27:56Speaker 5: and then tug on his heartstrings. He's an Arkansas guy,
- 27:58Speaker 5: grew up in Springdale. You know, I've known him forever.
- 28:04Speaker 5: He has tons of pictures of himself dressed up in
- 28:07Speaker 5: razorback gear. I remember him telling me stories about going
- 28:11Speaker 5: to go see Ken Hatfield, the former Arkansas coach being
- 28:15Speaker 5: excited just to go somewhere, to go see him and
- 28:17Speaker 5: shake his hand and get to meet him and talk
- 28:19Speaker 5: talk about becoming a head coach someday. And his dream
- 28:22Speaker 5: was to be the head coach at Arkansas someday. But
- 28:25Speaker 5: times change, people change, and he's in a very good
- 28:28Speaker 5: spot at SMU. I think it would take quite a
- 28:31Speaker 5: bit of commitment on Arkansas's part to entice him.
- 28:35Speaker 1: What about a guy like Dan Mullin at un LV
- 28:37Speaker 1: is his first year there, but he had a lot
- 28:38Speaker 1: of success in the SEC the first time. I probably
- 28:40Speaker 1: got run from Florida little too early.
- 28:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I think he did too. He got ran from
- 28:45Speaker 5: there too early. Let's see how Dan does here in
- 28:48Speaker 5: the back half of the schedule. I'm not discounting the
- 28:51Speaker 5: way they started to going four and oh, but the
- 28:54Speaker 5: schedule hasn't been all that tough. Remember their first game
- 28:56Speaker 5: against Idaho State, they probably should have lost an FCS team.
- 28:59Speaker 5: But I think I agree with you. Dan's an incredible coach, schemer,
- 29:03Speaker 5: but I think he's a name that won't start creeping
- 29:06Speaker 5: up unless they start winning some bigger games in the
- 29:08Speaker 5: Mountain West, especially in conference there.
- 29:10Speaker 1: My final question about who could possibly be the coach.
- 29:13Speaker 1: Is what coordinator? Are you hearing whispers they're looking to
- 29:18Speaker 1: make that jump to the head coaching job at a
- 29:21Speaker 1: P four school.
- 29:22Speaker 5: Will Stein, the offensive coordinator at Oregon, He's someone that
- 29:26Speaker 5: I think is going to get a lot of consideration
- 29:28Speaker 5: out there potentially. Also, keep in mind, we're probably gonna
- 29:31Speaker 5: have a record breaking year as far as coach openings,
- 29:33Speaker 5: so there's gonna be a lot of jobs available and
- 29:35Speaker 5: a lot of candidates and a lot of assistant coaches
- 29:38Speaker 5: making that jump. You know, consider Glenn Schuman, the defensive
- 29:41Speaker 5: coordinator at Georgia. They did a pretty good job in
- 29:46Speaker 5: the second half against Alabama. He's always been a good coordinator,
- 29:49Speaker 5: someone on the rise, And as we saw Dan Lanning,
- 29:51Speaker 5: formerly a coordinator under under Kirby, making that jump. But
- 29:56Speaker 5: right now, I think it's a lot of like prove
- 29:58Speaker 5: it type things. That was really high. For example, going
- 30:01Speaker 5: into last week on Andy Kttlenecky, the offensive cornerator of
- 30:04Speaker 5: Penn State, and you saw how much they struggled until
- 30:06Speaker 5: the fourth quarter when the offense finally came back to life.
- 30:10Speaker 5: But these days, a lot of ads want a head
- 30:13Speaker 5: coach who's a CEO type that can handle everything, not
- 30:17Speaker 5: necessarily someone who have to handle the back office stuff
- 30:20Speaker 5: and everything and also call plays. They need someone who
- 30:24Speaker 5: is trained to handle that stuff. And it is more
- 30:25Speaker 5: a business like approach, So you'd have to be a really,
- 30:30Speaker 5: really hot coordinator I think to really get a big
- 30:32Speaker 5: ton of consideration right now.
- 30:34Speaker 1: These programs like A Virginia A, UCLA and Arkansas that
- 30:37Speaker 1: obviously are going to have to hire a new coach,
- 30:40Speaker 1: they are in the middle of the season, Like how
- 30:42Speaker 1: aggressive can they hunt and who's doing the hunting? Who
- 30:45Speaker 1: are they talking to?
- 30:46Speaker 5: You know, a lot of these schools they'll go hire
- 30:48Speaker 5: a search firm of some sort and it's usually the
- 30:51Speaker 5: same one, and they kind of compile a list, they
- 30:54Speaker 5: start making calls, gauging type of interest at least from
- 30:57Speaker 5: the agents. Rarely are they actually talking directly to the coaches.
- 31:00Speaker 5: They're talking to their agents and then the agents are
- 31:03Speaker 5: hitting up their coaches from time to time. But I
- 31:07Speaker 5: think you're getting it a good point here, which is
- 31:09Speaker 5: there's only so much you can do. I mean, we're
- 31:11Speaker 5: not even out of the month of September and we're
- 31:14Speaker 5: talking about coaching changes, and you're not going to be
- 31:16Speaker 5: able to hire anyone until the first week or second
- 31:19Speaker 5: week of December, because everybody's coaching right now. So a
- 31:23Speaker 5: coach could show a lot of interest in a job
- 31:26Speaker 5: and that could change overnight because one they don't like
- 31:28Speaker 5: the situation, potentially they're being offered, or two another job
- 31:32Speaker 5: comes open, or they hear another job's going to come open.
- 31:35Speaker 5: But places like Virginia Tech, Arkansas and elsewhere, they've certainly
- 31:39Speaker 5: got a working list that are putting together. They're vetting
- 31:41Speaker 5: all of that in the early going. But you're right,
- 31:45Speaker 5: there's just not much you can do, like anybody expecting,
- 31:48Speaker 5: like by mid October to start hearing at police places
- 31:50Speaker 5: like so and so is gonna end up being the coach,
- 31:52Speaker 5: your kid and yourself.
- 31:53Speaker 1: I should have added the Tech because Virginia had a
- 31:55Speaker 1: really good winn against Florida State, So that'll lead me
- 31:58Speaker 1: there Florida State. That was kind of a ripe game
- 32:01Speaker 1: for Florida State to lose in hindsight, right.
- 32:05Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, because you know, going into that, both offenses
- 32:08Speaker 5: are in the top five top ten nationally. Florida State
- 32:11Speaker 5: was number one. Virginia was no slouch. They were scoring
- 32:14Speaker 5: almost fifty points a game themselves. They brought in a
- 32:17Speaker 5: lot of transfers, and you talk about nil money. I'm
- 32:20Speaker 5: actually writing a story about this. They they got a gigantic,
- 32:23Speaker 5: anonymous gift from a booster and they used that to
- 32:28Speaker 5: help build this roster. Their general manager said back in July,
- 32:31Speaker 5: the moment they got that gift, they said, our recruiting
- 32:34Speaker 5: board completely changed. They erased it and started putting new
- 32:37Speaker 5: names on there because they could get bigger guys. And
- 32:40Speaker 5: I've told my sources there in Charlottesville told me they
- 32:43Speaker 5: spent about twenty million dollars if not more, just an
- 32:47Speaker 5: nil money on the portal this offseason, and it's paid
- 32:51Speaker 5: dividends for them. Right Eight of their starters are all
- 32:54Speaker 5: new players. Nineteen of the thirty two transfers that came
- 32:57Speaker 5: in all played a significant part on the field against
- 33:00Speaker 5: Florida State. That's our roster looks completely different and they're
- 33:03Speaker 5: playing differently. And it just goes to show you these
- 33:07Speaker 5: days in college football, that you can change things overnight
- 33:10Speaker 5: if you just got like deep, deep pockets in the
- 33:13Speaker 5: big nil program.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Let's do a couple same song, different verses, and we
- 33:17Speaker 1: can start with James Franklin at Penn State losing another
- 33:19Speaker 1: Big One actually the first white out they've ever lost
- 33:21Speaker 1: double overtime. It's a great game for me because I
- 33:23Speaker 1: didn't really have a rooting interest. But when will James
- 33:26Speaker 1: Franklin lose in these games? Wear thin on Penn State?
- 33:29Speaker 5: I think it has warn thin. I think it's warm
- 33:31Speaker 5: thin on them. A few years ago they're two and
- 33:33Speaker 5: twenty one, or excuse me. James Franklin overall in his
- 33:36Speaker 5: career is two and twenty one against top six teams,
- 33:39Speaker 5: second worst ever all time, which is actually just behind
- 33:42Speaker 5: a Hall of Fame coach Frank Beemer at Virginia Tech.
- 33:45Speaker 5: He has the actual worst record against top six, top
- 33:47Speaker 5: five type teams. And give credit to James Franklin quite
- 33:52Speaker 5: a bit because listen to Big Ten media days, all
- 33:55Speaker 5: these other events I go to where he's at. I'm
- 33:57Speaker 5: not kidding you. He's probably asked two or three times
- 34:00Speaker 5: about his record against top five teams, like are you
- 34:02Speaker 5: ever gonna win the Big One? Are you're gonna be
- 34:03Speaker 5: able to do it? And of course he was asked
- 34:05Speaker 5: about it again Saturday night after losing, and he said,
- 34:08Speaker 5: it's not a narrative, it's just facts. I mean, he's
- 34:11Speaker 5: just like he's what he's saying is, you're not just
- 34:14Speaker 5: telling me something to anger me. I know, it's a fact,
- 34:17Speaker 5: and that's my fault is kind of what he's saying,
- 34:21Speaker 5: and he just knows he has to win. I think
- 34:24Speaker 5: also we need to put in contexts that yes, Penn
- 34:27Speaker 5: State is a blue blood, but the talent level that
- 34:29Speaker 5: they bring into Penn State is probably a half step
- 34:32Speaker 5: to one step below what you see at Michigan and
- 34:35Speaker 5: Ohio State every single year, and for that matter, Oregon
- 34:38Speaker 5: the level they recruit. Just go look at the numbers
- 34:40Speaker 5: and the players. But we have it in our head
- 34:43Speaker 5: that Penn State should be winning a national title every
- 34:45Speaker 5: few years because James Franklin's made them so consistent year
- 34:49Speaker 5: after year after year winning ten games, and they just
- 34:52Speaker 5: can't get over that last step because, I mean, let's
- 34:55Speaker 5: face it, their stride is a little bit shorter than
- 34:58Speaker 5: those other bigger schools.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Version of same song, different verse is Alabama Georgia, where
- 35:02Speaker 1: it doesn't matter who the coaches at Alabama, they tend
- 35:04Speaker 1: to beat Georgia and Kirby Smart every year.
- 35:07Speaker 5: That was nuts man, And in the second half, I
- 35:09Speaker 5: think Kirby Smart's just like legitimately sees ghost whenever Alabama's
- 35:12Speaker 5: on the other sideline, doesn't matter who the coach is.
- 35:15Speaker 5: Some weird decisions. They got fourth and one at Alabama's
- 35:18Speaker 5: eight yard line. Instead of kicking a field goal to
- 35:21Speaker 5: tie it in the second half, they decide to run
- 35:24Speaker 5: a quick handoff to Cash Jones, who hadn't really touched
- 35:28Speaker 5: the ball at all, and he ends up stumbling and
- 35:30Speaker 5: getting blown up by lt Overton for Alabama, and they
- 35:34Speaker 5: lose yardage and turn over the ball. And then later
- 35:36Speaker 5: they call another play on fourth down and they turned
- 35:40Speaker 5: the ball over again by you guessed it, throwing it
- 35:42Speaker 5: out to Cash Jones, who lost yardage on it. I
- 35:46Speaker 5: even tweeted during the game, I was like, somebody explain
- 35:50Speaker 5: Cash Jones to me, because it does make no sense
- 35:53Speaker 5: why they were utilizing that guy in the two biggest
- 35:55Speaker 5: plays of the game. And then you had a player
- 35:57Speaker 5: get an unsportsman like conduct penalty for jumping on top
- 35:59Speaker 5: of the pile on a tush push where it was
- 36:02Speaker 5: third and one. Alabama picked up the first down, but
- 36:04Speaker 5: also they got an additional fifteen yards so Alabama could
- 36:07Speaker 5: keep the ball and melt the clock down. Just weird
- 36:10Speaker 5: decisions and smart defending himself afterwards said ten times out
- 36:14Speaker 5: of ten he'd call that trick, that that quick handof
- 36:17Speaker 5: instead of kicking the field goal for the tie. And listen,
- 36:21Speaker 5: this is something to dates back even back to twenty
- 36:23Speaker 5: eighteen in the SEC championship game, that the fake punt
- 36:26Speaker 5: that made no sense against Alabama. I think he just
- 36:29Speaker 5: overthinks himself quite a bit, and that's been his undoing
- 36:32Speaker 5: and cret to Kaylin de Bor. I mean, he's seven
- 36:35Speaker 5: to one now against top ten teams in his head
- 36:38Speaker 5: coaching career. The guy's just a big game coach.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Three questions left. Let's go to Vandy. They're scoring a
- 36:43Speaker 1: bunch of points. They're going to play Alabama next week. One,
- 36:47Speaker 1: how good is Vandy? And two? Is this something Vandy
- 36:50Speaker 1: can sustain for a couple of years at this point.
- 36:53Speaker 5: If they get Diego Pavier like a seventh and eighth
- 36:55Speaker 5: year of eligibility. Yeah, he's the engine man, right, And
- 37:00Speaker 5: I think that combination of him and then getting Jerry Kill,
- 37:02Speaker 5: the former New Mexico State coach there on staff to
- 37:05Speaker 5: kind of help guide things and say, hey, this is
- 37:07Speaker 5: what works with Diego has really helped. But I think
- 37:11Speaker 5: when Diego leaves, they'll take a little bit of a
- 37:13Speaker 5: step back. But the good thing is is Diego has
- 37:16Speaker 5: set up a foundation, so to speak of Hey, good
- 37:19Speaker 5: talent can come here. And by the way, when you
- 37:22Speaker 5: are here, you're not just going to float in space.
- 37:24Speaker 5: You're going to potentially win games. And as you've seen,
- 37:27Speaker 5: they've they've updated facilities there. They're they're amazing there in Nashville.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Now Clark Lee's got that thing going, I think they're
- 37:34Speaker 5: going to attract a better type of recruit they already
- 37:36Speaker 5: are as for this weekend. It's so weird to say this,
- 37:41Speaker 5: but Alabama's out for blood against Vanderbilt. This is a
- 37:44Speaker 5: revenge game for Alabama because Vandy beat him last year.
- 37:48Speaker 5: I think I think Vandy's walking into a hornet's nest.
- 37:50Speaker 5: If they haven't faced an opponent nearly as good as
- 37:53Speaker 5: Alabama yet this season, and it being on the road,
- 37:57Speaker 5: I think I think it has the potential the potential
- 38:00Speaker 5: to get ugly because I think Diego Pavier might get
- 38:03Speaker 5: put into a lot of troubling situations where he's going
- 38:05Speaker 5: to turn the ball over trying to force things.
- 38:07Speaker 1: All right, two questions left, Uh, do your heisman? Top three? Right?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Now because it is not what I thought it would
- 38:12Speaker 1: be at this point in the year.
- 38:14Speaker 5: Oh gosh, I haven't even thought about it.
- 38:17Speaker 1: Cause it ain't. It ain't ness Meyer. He struggled or
- 38:20Speaker 1: been hurt or whatever's happening. I don't know what's happening.
- 38:22Speaker 5: Yeah, he's off the not off the board, but he's Yeah.
- 38:26Speaker 5: Dante Moore's climbing up there. To me, the Oregon quarterback, Uh,
- 38:29Speaker 5: he's been phenomenal. I put him up there. Fernando Mendoza
- 38:33Speaker 5: is still up there. I think Carson Beck is potentially
- 38:37Speaker 5: going to start climbing up the charts more they get
- 38:40Speaker 5: Florida State this week on the road. If he has
- 38:42Speaker 5: a big performance on the road against Florida State in
- 38:44Speaker 5: a rivalry game, I think that's when you'll see Carson
- 38:47Speaker 5: Beck potentially go up further. But it's crazy just a
- 38:50Speaker 5: week ago that the Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza jumped up
- 38:54Speaker 5: to number one after just blowing out Illinois. But right
- 38:58Speaker 5: now it seems like it's gonna be a Coureter Award,
- 39:01Speaker 5: which it really hasn't been in recent history. But it
- 39:04Speaker 5: seems like we're we're moving more in that direction. One
- 39:07Speaker 5: dark horse, I'll say is Missouri running back of Maud Hardy.
- 39:12Speaker 5: He has been phenomenal. He's had five straight games one
- 39:15Speaker 5: hundred plus yards. He just had another one hundred and
- 39:16Speaker 5: thirty yard game Saturday night. He's the best running back
- 39:20Speaker 5: in the SEC, maybe the country, and Miszoo likes to
- 39:23Speaker 5: feed him. He's not one of these running backs nowadays
- 39:26Speaker 5: that touches the ball fifteen times and that's it. He'll
- 39:28Speaker 5: get it twenty twenty five times. And he's just explosive
- 39:32Speaker 5: and a hard runner. And once they start playing better
- 39:35Speaker 5: teams and he puts that type production, I think you'll
- 39:37Speaker 5: you'll start hearing his name quite a bit more.
- 39:39Speaker 1: All right, final question, This is more of a suggestion
- 39:42Speaker 1: that I would make Rry Macro to a school like
- 39:46Speaker 1: an Arkansas that complains about nil. But it is it
- 39:49Speaker 1: is ironic that Arkansas will go ahead and pay the
- 39:51Speaker 1: extra two million for his buyout. But we don't have
- 39:53Speaker 1: enough money to support an il Like it's like you
- 39:56Speaker 1: have the money, you just haven't used it. So what
- 39:58Speaker 1: if we could invest into these teams, meaning let's say
- 40:03Speaker 1: they needed one hundred bucks and I was like, okay,
- 40:06Speaker 1: I'll give ten and take take the ten and get
- 40:09Speaker 1: you in and at the end, if we end up
- 40:11Speaker 1: making four hundred, I get my percentage based on how
- 40:14Speaker 1: the school did in revenue with the money I gave.
- 40:17Speaker 1: So it's not like rich people just giving money and
- 40:19Speaker 1: going here you go have money with nothing for me
- 40:22Speaker 1: except for me getting to brag about being able to donate.
- 40:25Speaker 1: What if there was the ability to make money back
- 40:27Speaker 1: on a team, if you gave money.
- 40:29Speaker 5: We're a great idea.
- 40:31Speaker 6: You should pitch it.
- 40:33Speaker 1: I'm serious, like I want because look, I'm gonna be honest.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I give money, and they want more money. They never don't,
- 40:40Speaker 1: they never want less money. I've never had that happen
- 40:42Speaker 1: in my whole life where they've been like, you know what,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you've given us a little too much, keep some for yourself.
- 40:47Speaker 1: That's never happened. But I start to go, especially after
- 40:50Speaker 1: the Arkansas AD last week or two weeks whenever it
- 40:53Speaker 1: was whenever speaking of the touchdown club, Yeah, he was like,
- 40:56Speaker 1: you know, we're just not we don't really have it
- 40:58Speaker 1: to be a championship team. And I'm like, well, then
- 41:00Speaker 1: why am I giving money if we don't have it?
- 41:02Speaker 1: Why do you continue to take my money if we
- 41:04Speaker 1: don't have it. So now I'm thinking if there was
- 41:07Speaker 1: like a revenue model for investors to get paid, I
- 41:10Speaker 1: could see a lot of folks throwing money into this thing.
- 41:13Speaker 1: Is that something? Have you ever heard of that before?
- 41:15Speaker 1: Or am I absolutely insane?
- 41:17Speaker 5: No, you're not insane, and I haven't really heard that before.
- 41:21Speaker 5: I'm also not very smart with money, so that's probably
- 41:24Speaker 5: why I've never thought of something like that. But it
- 41:27Speaker 5: certainly sounds very doable, right especially can you imagine some
- 41:31Speaker 5: of these programs, like even like you said, Arkansas, where
- 41:34Speaker 5: everybody's all about it in one state, and you've got
- 41:37Speaker 5: a lot of smart business people in this state that
- 41:39Speaker 5: would be willing you know what. That sounds like a
- 41:41Speaker 5: good opportunity, a good idea. I like it. You need
- 41:44Speaker 5: to go pitch that you can do next time Arkansas
- 41:46Speaker 5: asks you for next time Arkansas asks you for more money,
- 41:48Speaker 5: go hey, set up money. Here's an idea.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah. I got a envelope in the mill yesterday as
- 41:52Speaker 1: one of those hey check this box if you can
- 41:54Speaker 1: give us this amount of money, And I was like,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I was just told we can't win, so why do
- 41:58Speaker 1: I want to give more money? So I'm sure or
- 42:00Speaker 1: I'll have to give some more. Now. I'm happy to
- 42:01Speaker 1: give more now that we are moving, hopefully in a
- 42:04Speaker 1: different direction. But man, to be at that game. Were
- 42:07Speaker 1: you hearing any whispers in the press box about anything? Uh?
- 42:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I mean they're just talking to people. They're
- 42:13Speaker 5: just like this. There's no coming back from this. It's
- 42:16Speaker 5: also getting some weird looks from some people, going, why
- 42:18Speaker 5: are you here?
- 42:19Speaker 1: Oh yeah, national guy in the Arkansas press box.
- 42:23Speaker 5: And I was sitting in the very back on like
- 42:25Speaker 5: the third row. But you know, two of the last
- 42:29Speaker 5: three games i've been at, the head coach got fired.
- 42:32Speaker 1: No, you gotta keep him away. He's like that cat
- 42:35Speaker 1: at the nursing home that shows up near the door,
- 42:37Speaker 1: and if it shows up near the person's door, the
- 42:39Speaker 1: person always dies. Brandon is the cat at the nursing home.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Oh no, all right, brand.
- 42:46Speaker 5: Well, I'm going to be at I'm going to be
- 42:47Speaker 5: at Miami Florida State this week.
- 42:49Speaker 1: So I think you're good.
- 42:50Speaker 5: Anybody will get fired after that. I think I'm good.
- 42:52Speaker 1: I think you're good. Acfully, Hey, good to talk to you, Brandon.
- 42:54Speaker 1: We'll talk to you again next week, all right, see you,

- 44:40Speaker 1: I didn't get a ghost leg this week. That's what
- 44:42Speaker 1: I'm saying.
- 44:42Speaker 4: You have to earn the ghost leg you get, you
- 44:44Speaker 4: get a free one. But then after now I spend
- 44:47Speaker 4: enough to earn one, you should You should definitely be
- 44:49Speaker 4: getting a lot of ghost legs. But like I noticed, like,
- 44:53Speaker 4: uh A, last week I didn't get a ghost leg,
- 44:55Speaker 4: and that's because I never clicked the option to make
- 44:58Speaker 4: a bet to get a ghost leg. So I did
- 45:00Speaker 4: it finally and I got a ghost leg. Still can't
- 45:02Speaker 4: hit a dude, But you ghost this week? I ghosts
- 45:05Speaker 4: like this week. But I missed and I missed it.
- 45:07Speaker 4: I missed it, and I'm done doing like straight up games.
- 45:09Speaker 4: I'm not doing like you know, steelers to win money line.
- 45:13Speaker 4: I'm not doing, not doing the twelve gamers that I
- 45:15Speaker 4: used to. I'm not even getting close to those.
- 45:16Speaker 6: These are hard.
- 45:17Speaker 1: They're so hard.
- 45:18Speaker 4: Even when I picked two games, I don't hit them. Yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 4: But dude, I'm loving this, like you know Jamior Gibbs
- 45:23Speaker 4: touchdown Aaron Rodgers two touchdown pass, Like I'm loving those
- 45:28Speaker 4: stat parlays. I've already hit like four of them, and
- 45:32Speaker 4: that's like my thing now. And I think Brandon and
- 45:34Speaker 4: you should do pick six, then I should do pick six.
- 45:37Speaker 1: If you can do stats, you should do pick six. Okay.
- 45:40Speaker 1: But anytime you think you're good at something you're not,
- 45:43Speaker 1: that's when it comes crashing down. Yep. Anytime you think
- 45:46Speaker 1: you have anything figured out in gambling, and not just you,
- 45:49Speaker 1: especially you, but anybody else.
- 45:50Speaker 4: Well, to me, it's just I was doing so bad
- 45:52Speaker 4: the other way that I made a change and it
- 45:54Speaker 4: worked and it made me really happy.
- 45:57Speaker 1: Did you make money this weekend? I did well.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I made money. I made a lot of money on Saturday.
- 46:01Speaker 4: And then, dude, it happens every Saturday. I feel like
- 46:04Speaker 4: I'm just dominating college football, like this is awesome. And
- 46:07Speaker 4: then I go to the nightcap games and I'm at
- 46:10Speaker 4: I'm at utl Passo versus who knows?
- 46:14Speaker 1: Why are you betting that game? But listen, and I'm like, oh,
- 46:17Speaker 1: you know what, this game's over.
- 46:19Speaker 4: I'm just gonna I'm just gonna bet fifty dollars that
- 46:22Speaker 4: nothing's going to happen, that the score is gonna say
- 46:23Speaker 4: the same no interception, does the guy fall down and
- 46:27Speaker 4: just like intercept the ball? No, he runs it in
- 46:28Speaker 4: for a touchdown. I lose fifty dollars and it makes
- 46:31Speaker 4: me so mad. So what do I do? I bet
- 46:33Speaker 4: fifty more on on.
- 46:35Speaker 1: B Why don't you stop betting the games you have
- 46:37Speaker 1: no understanding of anything happening. I think that's that's your
- 46:40Speaker 1: mess up.
- 46:41Speaker 4: The last game of the night b YU a Colorado
- 46:43Speaker 4: and I'm like, oh, come on, b Y, he's gonna
- 46:45Speaker 4: win this.
- 46:46Speaker 1: So I got my money back.
- 46:48Speaker 6: You did win that one.
- 46:49Speaker 4: I did win that. I got my fifty dollars back.
- 46:50Speaker 1: But is this like whenever you said you were making
- 46:52Speaker 1: thirty dollars a picture on Instagram and I got in
- 46:54Speaker 1: and you weren't, and you almost you almost never did
- 46:56Speaker 1: because I looked at your money. If I were to
- 46:58Speaker 1: look at your DraftKings, yeah I had fifty dollars. No,
- 47:01Speaker 1: I'm saying, what I see that you made money or lost? Sure? Yeah,
- 47:04Speaker 1: you can see my bets bets now, I don't want
- 47:07Speaker 1: to see it. Dude. It's a lot of bets, but
- 47:09Speaker 1: stop betting on games that you don't know anything about.
- 47:11Speaker 4: That's the best, though, That's the best because I'm like,
- 47:13Speaker 4: what am I going to do? Everyone's asleep, It's eleven
- 47:16Speaker 4: thirty at night. I want to stay up and watch
- 47:18Speaker 4: and bet a dollar? I know I should, yeah, and
- 47:20Speaker 4: then wake up happy.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I should.
- 47:22Speaker 4: Yeah, But I'm having I'm having fun, dude, Dude, I'm
- 47:25Speaker 4: telling you a weekend, I probably placed thirty bets.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I probably. I mean I probably do that too.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Finger happy. Man. It's a lot, but minor on games.
- 47:38Speaker 1: I at least know what the mascot is true.
- 47:41Speaker 4: You know no, no, no, no, the Miners, I didn't. I
- 47:44Speaker 4: don't even know who they were playing. Oh ut oh
- 47:46Speaker 4: utah oh.
- 47:47Speaker 1: And then I stayed up for.
- 47:47Speaker 6: The Raging Cajuns Louisiana.
- 47:49Speaker 1: They were overtime and Louisiana was playing overtime. You're playing
- 47:52Speaker 1: at me like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not. You
- 47:54Speaker 1: don't need to bet those games. Yeah, those the only
- 47:58Speaker 1: thing that's on. Did you do you do any of
- 48:01Speaker 1: the listening in the booth like with it? Did you
- 48:03Speaker 1: see that on Friday? Yeah?
- 48:04Speaker 4: Dude, I love that. Okay, So on Friday the Virginia
- 48:08Speaker 4: Florida State game. Uh, every time the play would go
- 48:11Speaker 4: under review, they would play the audio of the guys
- 48:14Speaker 4: back in New York watching the screens and the referee
- 48:16Speaker 4: watching the screen. So the watching them converse and listening
- 48:19Speaker 4: to them be like, all right, see his hand, I
- 48:21Speaker 4: see his hand touching the ground. But is that ball moving?
- 48:23Speaker 4: And then you can hear him arguing and be like,
- 48:25Speaker 4: I think the ball's moving. No, Tom, I really don't
- 48:27Speaker 4: think the ball is moving there. And then the ref's like, uh,
- 48:30Speaker 4: you guys, figure this one out, Like you get to
- 48:32Speaker 4: hear all it was? So I never heard the ref go.
- 48:34Speaker 1: You guys figured this one out, but I do understand
- 48:36Speaker 1: what celess flip a coin. I didn't hear that one.
- 48:41Speaker 4: And then what was cool is and then you decide, okay,
- 48:43Speaker 4: so is it gonna be overturned. Let's just go with
- 48:45Speaker 4: overturn all right? One overturn, yeah, overturn three, overturn all right.
- 48:49Speaker 4: And then he takes his headphones off, and it's cool
- 48:51Speaker 4: because you get to watch it, you get to hear it,
- 48:54Speaker 4: where like we're just used to watching the guy look
- 48:56Speaker 4: at the screen and then blah blah.
- 48:57Speaker 6: Blah blah talking to somebody in there who knows.
- 49:00Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you get a real good understanding of like, oh,
- 49:02Speaker 4: that does make sense, Like now I get why that
- 49:05Speaker 4: wasn't targeting.
- 49:06Speaker 6: They got to hate that though.
- 49:06Speaker 1: They're just showing their work. It's like when we do
- 49:09Speaker 1: math problems in eighth grade, it was like, okay, now
- 49:10Speaker 1: you get your answer, but you got to show your work. Yeah,
- 49:12Speaker 1: So when they show their work, you see how they
- 49:14Speaker 1: get there, so you have a better understanding of what
- 49:17Speaker 1: the result is even if you don't agree with it.
- 49:19Speaker 1: But I always agree. I agree with it both times
- 49:22Speaker 1: I saw it. I saw it twice.
- 49:23Speaker 4: Oh, they showed it every time, but I only saw twice.
- 49:26Speaker 4: I guess you only watched the end, right.
- 49:27Speaker 1: I watched the last two thirds of the final quarter
- 49:32Speaker 1: and then the overtimes. Yeah, so they do it overtime.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I didn't see it overtime.
- 49:35Speaker 4: I didn't see it overtime. So is this something that
- 49:37Speaker 4: they can.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Do for like ever, because they can if they would
- 49:41Speaker 1: like to, like Amazon, if on Amazon, but maybe it's
- 49:45Speaker 1: Amazon Prime Stats. Yeah, so there's different feeds. Yeah, it's Amazon.
- 49:50Speaker 1: You can go to a different feed altogether and watch
- 49:53Speaker 1: almost what's like an All twenty two version and see
- 49:56Speaker 1: plays developed. Oh that's awesome. And so you're not watching
- 49:59Speaker 1: from the typical view I was thinking of because I
- 50:01Speaker 1: get Amazon and YouTube TV mixed up because they're both
- 50:04Speaker 1: streaming both digital. It's Amazon, and you can back off
- 50:08Speaker 1: and do another view.
- 50:09Speaker 6: Yeah, they have like probability that so and so's coming,
- 50:12Speaker 6: who's blitzer?
- 50:12Speaker 1: And they have like the bottom circle on the blitzers
- 50:15Speaker 1: and sometimes they the blitzer tricks them. But if they
- 50:19Speaker 1: think it's blitzing, it gets dark, like darker like hot
- 50:21Speaker 1: pin I look like a video game a little. I've
- 50:23Speaker 1: never seen that. Awesome it's super cool. So that is fun. Though.
- 50:26Speaker 4: Do you guys like the skycam?
- 50:29Speaker 1: No, I actually hate it.
- 50:32Speaker 6: Wait, like the one in the wires.
- 50:34Speaker 1: Yeah, one of the wires. It looks like when they
- 50:35Speaker 1: first started showing football on television in like the sixties,
- 50:39Speaker 1: when they had one camera at the top of the bleachers.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Oh yeah, just in the fifty yards. That's what that
- 50:42Speaker 1: reminds me of a bit. So I don't like it.
- 50:45Speaker 1: And there's no commentators, it's just the camera in the
- 50:48Speaker 1: crowd o the crowd. Yes, yeah, it's fun. It's fun.
- 50:51Speaker 1: For a second. It'd be cool to put it up
- 50:54Speaker 1: as a if you had and I guess I could
- 50:56Speaker 1: do it on my screens upstairs. Have three screens beside
- 50:58Speaker 1: each other. It'd be cool to put it up beside
- 51:00Speaker 1: the real one.
- 51:01Speaker 6: Okay, but to watch it.
- 51:02Speaker 1: By itself, I don't have it. I need to be stimulated. Yeah.
- 51:06Speaker 4: I just like the options. Like if that's the way
- 51:07Speaker 4: the way you want to watch a game. Cool, you
- 51:09Speaker 4: have an option to watch that game.
- 51:10Speaker 6: He watches it like that, you look boys.
- 51:12Speaker 4: No, I mean it's it's an option. So sometimes like
- 51:15Speaker 4: you see lsu Ole miss and like you just click
- 51:19Speaker 4: on a box and it ends up being that one.
- 51:21Speaker 4: And then you realize after five minutes of watching and
- 51:23Speaker 4: you're like, there's no commentary on this.
- 51:25Speaker 5: Weird.
- 51:26Speaker 1: What do you think of Dan Lanning after they won
- 51:28Speaker 1: the game? Dude, Dan Lanning is he's different.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Like the way he acted when they won that game,
- 51:36Speaker 4: which was awesome. I'll just say it was great and
- 51:38Speaker 4: it was cool to see him act like that. But
- 51:41Speaker 4: I've never seen a coach twitch and almost it was
- 51:44Speaker 4: almost like this is gonna sound weird, but it's almost
- 51:46Speaker 4: like he killed someone and he's on for rush of
- 51:48Speaker 4: like he just killed someone and his eye was twitching
- 51:50Speaker 4: and he was out of breath and he really he's
- 51:53Speaker 4: he just didn't even know how to talk to the
- 51:54Speaker 4: reporter because he was so freaking excited that they won
- 51:57Speaker 4: that game. I've never seen a coach do that.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Did you watch the Charlie Sheen documentary. No, It's like
- 52:01Speaker 1: when Charlie Sheen was doing all that crack. There's a
- 52:04Speaker 1: whole part of the second episode and it's the part
- 52:07Speaker 1: that we remember most when he was like winning and
- 52:10Speaker 1: yes all and he was like he was do tory.
- 52:16Speaker 1: His getting pumped up and being so excited is like
- 52:18Speaker 1: Charlie Sheen on crack.
- 52:20Speaker 6: So it's a healthy version.
- 52:21Speaker 1: You did notice that, I mean he was just oh yeah,
- 52:23Speaker 1: I mean he is an intense guy. Intense, so it's
- 52:26Speaker 1: a bit of the intensity. He's pretty high strung anyway,
- 52:31Speaker 1: and probably even when it's yeah and almost like a
- 52:34Speaker 1: cathartic release, all happening at once.
- 52:36Speaker 6: Yeah, he's awesome, though, Yeah, he's awesome. He takes jabs
- 52:39Speaker 6: all the time. No, I know you're not saying anything bad.
- 52:41Speaker 6: I'm just saying that guy is he's awesome. The jab
- 52:44Speaker 6: which the white out? Did you see that? Yeah, where
- 52:46Speaker 6: he's like, oh, it wasn't really like they use it
- 52:48Speaker 6: as an effect, but like it didn't really affect.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Us, didn't really affect us. Yeah, I love it. Yeah,
- 52:52Speaker 1: and Organ's in the white That's what I was.
- 52:55Speaker 6: Okay, first thing I thought of I turned the game.
- 52:56Speaker 6: Mom was like, why is Organ in the white on
- 52:58Speaker 6: a Penn State white out?
- 53:00Speaker 1: So I thought the same thing. Interesting, And what I
- 53:03Speaker 1: thought was it's confusing to see all the white. If
- 53:07Speaker 1: all your team's white, it would be like do you
- 53:10Speaker 1: remember when I said if you wore camouflage jerseys? Yeah,
- 53:13Speaker 1: And somebody dm me and said Boise State did that
- 53:16Speaker 1: with blue on blue turf where they had one of
- 53:17Speaker 1: their guys lay on the ground and you didn't see
- 53:19Speaker 1: them and he jumped up and caught a ball. So
- 53:21Speaker 1: I thought, it's like a yeah, and that's what I thought, Like,
- 53:24Speaker 1: could you do camouflage jersey helmet? But I think it's
- 53:27Speaker 1: like a reverse like all white and then if you're
- 53:32Speaker 1: in white, it looks like you can't differentiate your players
- 53:36Speaker 1: from the crowd at times. I don't know that that's true.
- 53:40Speaker 4: Do you all know how they pick the colors?
- 53:42Speaker 1: Like is it, well, that's that's their main color, white
- 53:44Speaker 1: and white and blue blue color blind?
- 53:48Speaker 4: But like Oregon like so like if they're coming to town,
- 53:51Speaker 4: they have to be white with the a white team, Okay,
- 53:52Speaker 4: they always have to be white, got it? Cool jerseys though, though,
- 53:57Speaker 4: ide they must have like ten altern it more than
- 54:01Speaker 4: like it's amazing.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm ninety nine percent show the away team
- 54:06Speaker 1: is always white. Yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 6: I think they have to have like their main color
- 54:11Speaker 6: has to.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Be okay, and that's.
- 54:14Speaker 6: That's that's college.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, Dan Lanning's awesome. I saw fanshow Hey you
- 54:20Speaker 1: still still text? You text him? All? No, but I
- 54:23Speaker 1: will r. Dude, you got a text him right now? Yeah? Yes,
- 54:27Speaker 1: I don't text him orly every But what should I say?
- 54:31Speaker 6: Hey? Are you going crack?
- 54:34Speaker 1: Anything's you're crazy? I'm gonna say you had me pumped
- 54:40Speaker 1: last night. It's nice, it's.
- 54:43Speaker 4: Good, it's not too crazy, perfectly normal text. Oh you're
- 54:48Speaker 4: still typing though, I'm not just gonna leave one sentence
- 54:53Speaker 4: what else he's saying. I'll tell you I got a
- 54:55Speaker 4: sign it though, because I don't know that he has
- 54:57Speaker 4: my number, and I mean, yea out of who knows
- 54:59Speaker 4: you're going Bobby Bobby Bonebby bones me who I am?
- 55:02Speaker 1: But we text?
- 55:03Speaker 6: But you had you had a whole package for you
- 55:05Speaker 6: last year.
- 55:06Speaker 1: No, I know we text, but it could be one
- 55:07Speaker 1: of those that you had, Like scroll up if you
- 55:09Speaker 1: didn't say my number, it's just a number. I said.
- 55:12Speaker 1: You had me pump last night. Such an intense game
- 55:14Speaker 1: way Gress coaches.
- 55:15Speaker 4: That's perfect, perfecte and over here like dude, and I
- 55:21Speaker 4: wouldn't know how to do it.
- 55:22Speaker 1: You're my hero. I love you. Here's a selfie of me.
- 55:31Speaker 1: That's funny. We're at the end of the Ryder Cup
- 55:40Speaker 1: as we record this. Yeah, is it? I don't even
- 55:42Speaker 1: because we had a check cup. You don't know. I
- 55:44Speaker 1: don't understand. The scoring system is weird if you don't
- 55:46Speaker 1: know it.
- 55:47Speaker 6: It's the halves are what confuses me.
- 55:49Speaker 4: I half is just tie, the tie, okay, and then
- 55:51Speaker 4: all the different games, the foursomes and the swinging and
- 55:55Speaker 4: the no no, that's a different thing, all the different
- 55:59Speaker 4: games they players. So so we had to get to
- 56:01Speaker 4: fourteen and a half. They only had to get to
- 56:03Speaker 4: fourteen because they have it.
- 56:04Speaker 1: But it looks like it could be over. Let me
- 56:06Speaker 1: take it.
- 56:07Speaker 6: Look, okay, you're defeat you fifteen to thirteen.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Oh wow, we made a run in singles today. We
- 56:13Speaker 1: made a run. But that is so intense.
- 56:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it all the yelling, is that a normal thing?
- 56:21Speaker 1: Ish?
- 56:22Speaker 4: Like like because when's the last time?
- 56:24Speaker 1: It's always rowdy and it's every every other round and
- 56:27Speaker 1: it's every two years, so it's been four years since
- 56:30Speaker 1: we've played here.
- 56:31Speaker 4: And so it's fair game. You're there, you can. I
- 56:34Speaker 4: even saw like the one of the MC's had to
- 56:35Speaker 4: like step down because.
- 56:36Speaker 1: He Heather McDonald or what's the name of Mike, the
- 56:38Speaker 1: comedian heathern McMahon, She was like she was like f
- 56:41Speaker 1: roryro f you at the crowd. I did see that.
- 56:46Speaker 6: I saw cops were like getting involved too. Is that
- 56:48Speaker 6: because of the.
- 56:49Speaker 1: Crowd the crowd was out of control?
- 56:51Speaker 6: Wow?
- 56:51Speaker 1: And Trump was there for one of the days. Oh,
- 56:53Speaker 1: I did see that.
- 56:54Speaker 6: In the bolt he.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Walked he walked Bryson out. So it's I don't think
- 57:00Speaker 1: it's as cool as some people do because it's not
- 57:04Speaker 1: like a real it's not like a major. But some
- 57:06Speaker 1: people love it, and I get I mean I'm not
- 57:08Speaker 1: I'm not just anybody cheerio cheerios. I think it's awesome.
- 57:11Speaker 1: But to me, I didn't watch like a little bit
- 57:13Speaker 1: of it. I'd rather watch football. Yeah, I watched it
- 57:15Speaker 1: on Thursday. And we love golf.
- 57:18Speaker 4: We love watching golf. Yeah, but once football season starts, golf.
- 57:21Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like but some people do root like it's
- 57:24Speaker 6: the Olympics or something.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Yeah, it's cool, but it's a big deal. I mean
- 57:27Speaker 1: it really is a big deal because then they argue
- 57:29Speaker 1: who's going to be the captain? Is a captain going
- 57:31Speaker 1: to play? Who's gonna be on the team? And Kegan, Yeah,
- 57:35Speaker 1: and he was good enough to play, and he still
- 57:37Speaker 1: chose not to.
- 57:38Speaker 4: He just walked around a little uh, walkie talkie. Uh,
- 57:41Speaker 4: it's cool, pretty awesome. He was all over the place too.
- 57:43Speaker 4: He'd go to like one green and then walk to
- 57:45Speaker 4: another green.
- 57:46Speaker 1: And that's how I was playing against Eddie.
- 57:48Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Those New York fans like I do something good like yeah, few,
- 57:51Speaker 1: I don't know. We did our tournament. All I would say,
- 57:54Speaker 1: that's the water, yes, exactly, water just in case.
- 57:58Speaker 4: Well, because you can't really see, so I had to
- 57:59Speaker 4: tell he was in the water exactly.
- 58:03Speaker 1: Oh that was nice, dude. Kevin's put together as top
- 58:06Speaker 1: five most overhyped quarterbacks in college football come the end
- 58:10Speaker 1: of the year this year, yes, okay, number five.
- 58:13Speaker 6: Number five is Leonora Sellers from South Carolina.
- 58:17Speaker 1: Can I say that he's been hurt?
- 58:19Speaker 6: Well, that's part of the reason, though.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Can you be overhyped if you're injured because the hypair
- 58:24Speaker 1: you didn't even have a chance to get to the hype.
- 58:25Speaker 6: But the injuries go back to last year too. He
- 58:27Speaker 6: was injured last year. So part of the overhype is
- 58:30Speaker 6: how can you be so hyped in number one pick
- 58:33Speaker 6: if you can't even say on the field.
- 58:36Speaker 1: I think that's a good argument.
- 58:37Speaker 6: If there's like three seasons of that, so he's got
- 58:40Speaker 6: one more to go.
- 58:41Speaker 1: I think he goes pro anyway, but I do, yeah, yeah,
- 58:45Speaker 1: I think he has all the tools. I think he
- 58:47Speaker 1: probably goes pro. I guess if he has a further
- 58:53Speaker 1: disappointing season with more injuries. The reason I guess he
- 58:56Speaker 1: could stay as they do get paid a lot, and
- 58:59Speaker 1: three years ago, three to infinity years ago, he's gone. Yeah,
- 59:03Speaker 1: but yeah, there's a chance. I guess there's a chance
- 59:05Speaker 1: he stays.
- 59:06Speaker 6: It depends how their year goes to I feel like
- 59:08Speaker 6: they've already lost a.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Couple of games. Lamar, Seller's the number five. You're using injuries, okay.
- 59:13Speaker 6: And then number four it should maybe be higher, people think,
- 59:17Speaker 6: but arts Manning.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know how to say number one. That
- 59:19Speaker 1: should be one. But it's your list and thank you guys,
- 59:24Speaker 1: thank you whatever.
- 59:25Speaker 6: But the reason it's not number one is because it's
- 59:28Speaker 6: kind of also the media's fault for hyping him.
- 59:31Speaker 1: But that's who hypes is the media. Yes, yeah, but
- 59:34Speaker 1: media does all the hyping.
- 59:36Speaker 6: But it's not like he's out here like, oh, I'm
- 59:38Speaker 6: the best, I'm this, I'm that like everyone's saying, oh
- 59:41Speaker 6: he's so good. Texas people are saying oh my gosh.
- 59:43Speaker 6: You see this guy in camp, like, and then he
- 59:46Speaker 6: goes out in places it's like, well, he never really played.
- 59:48Speaker 6: Now it's like, oh, well he never really played before,
- 59:49Speaker 6: so that's probably why he's not doing so well. It's like, well, then,
- 59:51Speaker 6: why did you have all this hype?
- 59:52Speaker 1: I feel like the media is who hypes. But hey,
- 59:55Speaker 1: your list, Hey man, you do your list?
- 59:57Speaker 6: Thanks guys, Number three three Drew Now this guy Penn State,
- 1:00:02Speaker 6: they just can't get it. James Franklin's right there with him,
- 1:00:04Speaker 6: but they easily could have come back won that game.
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: They had their chances. And what does he do? Throw
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: another pick?
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: He looks again, good quarterback though he looks twelve though
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: without his face like, I think he's actually a kid.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I think he's one of those Disney movies. Yeah, he
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: looks and we're getting older, but man, he looks like
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: a child.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: Yeah, and he has sometimes he just looks scared back there. Yeah,
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: and I'm like, I don't know that's gonna last in
- 1:00:27Speaker 6: the NFL, all right?
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Number two number two.
- 1:00:29Speaker 6: Garrett Nessmeyer over at LSU talked about him a little
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: bit l ruggling, and I liked him the most, probably
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: coming in I was like, this kid is gonna be good.
- 1:00:38Speaker 6: LSU's offense is going to be good.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: And on Netflix and he give him Saturday. Yes, we
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: let him hype us up to think he was going
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: to be awesome.
- 1:00:44Speaker 6: Yes, he's come back.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: Right, So Netflix also hypes up not just the media, Yes,
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: that's part of the media though, that's streaming service.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: That is media, digital media, digital media.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: Number one Cade club Nick Rick Clemson, like this one.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Bad, bad, bad. He had a really good game in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: a loss at Austin last year in the College Football Playoff. Yeah,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: and they lost. That was the first round of the CFP, right.
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: I think second second round.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: Yeah, and he looked good in that loss, and he
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: was highly recruited, so everybody thought it's time. But yeah, no,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: it's been It's.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: Been real bad, really bad.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: It's been real bad for the whole.
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: Team, for the coach, and they have talent. Everyone's talking
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: about how good their team was this year, and then
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: it's if your quarterback was that hyped and then he
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: can't even get it done and it's like, okay, you
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: know who.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: It sucks for Oklahoma because they have a really great season,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: they're undefeated, and their quarterback material goes out, had to
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: have hand surgery. Now he may only be gone two games,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and he was out. He was out this week, Bye week,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: next week, Okahan place kent State week after that though,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: they play Texas. Oh yeah, is that not throwing hand. No,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: it's throwing hand. It's throwing hand. So he may be
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: back for the game after Texas, prout for Oklahoma South Carolina.
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: Yeah, then'll miss then Tennessee then oh yeah, oh my gosh,
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: he's got to come back.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Yeah. The SEC is it's a nightmare forever rud, especially
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: when you're one of the bad teams, because all the
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: teams are good. Like, if you're one of the bad teams,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: there are no other bad teams. If you're Arkansas Kentucky,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: there are no Arkansas or Kentucky's to play because you're them.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: Yeah if tough.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why the teams that are the worst always
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: have the hardest schedules because they can't play themselves. We're
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: a team like Georgia. They have a hard schedule, but
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: they also get to play the bad teams. They get
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to play Arkansas and Kentucky.
- 1:02:37Speaker 6: Yeah, or Vanderbilt is not one of those teams anymore.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: Not anymore ne Dississippi State one.
- 1:02:42Speaker 6: Yeah they should Yeah, what a game.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that was another overtime legit.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, what a game. Uh and that was a
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: double overtime if I'm correct.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: I know it was overtime.
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah it was double because I think it was
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: they were going for the two.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Yeah, and they missed the two. I didn't make a
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: note on that, but I'm pretty sure it was double overtime.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: And I think there were five overtime just one.
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: Overtime, Are you sure?
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Yep? No.
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: I think they were just going for the touchdown because
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: Tennessee scored first a touchdown because it say, isn't overtime.
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: Tennessee had seven they had zero.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: Well, one of them was going for the two. Oh
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: maybe it might have been Floridastate, but it.
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: Was on the goal, like they were close. They were
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: like on the two or three yard line. I'm bling
- 1:03:25Speaker 6: there's a lot overtime.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: I'm blurring five overtime games this week.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Yeah. And whenever the Eagles blocked that punt at the
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: very first of the game, oh my god, I was like,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: here we go again. I know, like the last two
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: plays they had were blocks. They'll go block pump block.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Let me make sure I didn't miss anything. That seemed
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: to be pretty good on notes, and if anything else
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: crazy happens for tonight, we'll just throw up an end
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: after our end, like tomorrow. A few minutes. We can
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: do like five minutes and we'll be like, oh, can
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: you believe the Cowboys? Ioy was won. It was crazy. Wow.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: They had eight onside kicks in a row covered them.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: If we have nothing after this, it was just a
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: normal night. I don't like the double Monday night game.
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: I hate that.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: No, that's this week, right, yeah, I hate it. Yeah.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I also forgot there was a Ireland game this week.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I woke up normal time obviously, didn't turn anything on
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: because I knew I had football all day, so I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: was just like, gonna have breakfast with my wife. Nothing,
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: And I just clicked to make sure none of my
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: fantasy guys were out, and I saw that I was
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: playing Kenny Gainwell and he had like twenty points already. Yeah,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, was there a game last night? I
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: was like, oh, they played in Europe. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: missed the whole game. Yeah.
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: My wife doesn't like those morning games because she's just
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: like I went to bed hearing football, and now I'm
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: waking up to football.
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: That's right, you have it in your room?
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Yeah, well in the morning ones I turned on as
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: soon as I wake up. I just set it on
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: the TV in my room and she's like, what are
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: you watching? You're watching highlights? Nope, they're playing in Ireland
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: back on. Yeah, okay, I think that's it. Anybody else
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: have anything else?
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: No?
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: Postseason baseball is coming this week too.
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Cobs and Padres is how they play, I think,
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: so I should look at that. I'm almost positive it is.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: It just rolled off, Mike, Would you look at that?
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: Sounded very confident.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: I did well, then I then I regressed.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: Just backtrack real quick.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: You're correct?
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Okay, then I yeah, this is when I start watching baseball. Yes,
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: not just the first innings of baseball games.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: See if you had your bet? Yeah? Yeah, all right,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: that's it. So I guess uh, we're gonna go. We'll
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: be back later on this week. Thanks to Brandon Marcelo
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: for being on with us. What's crazy being an arkanestas fan.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: All all the fans are going to be like, let's
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: get Nick Saban and it's like, guys, you think we're
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: complaining about not having enough nil and you think we're
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: gonna get Nick Saban or John Gruden. Also, I don't
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: think I really want John Gruden. I think that's a
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: splash higher, that's not really a long term solution. Yeah.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: And if Gruden wins this lawsuit against the NFL, he
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: will be back coaching in the NFL again, which I
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: think is really what he wants to do. Yeah. So
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: all right, that's what's up. Thank you guys for being here.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: Jimmy Johnson come back. I don't think so.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: I'm Landry Ma Lou Holts.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: He was at the Arkansas Games. Was how old is
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Lou Holtz? I'm glad you asked that. Just looked it up.
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: One hundred and seven at checks. Yeah, really old, really old.
