Welcome to this week's Inquisitive Sister Real The Show, episode of our 826th for December 11, 2025. 5 00:00:24,100 --> 00:00:28,800 Welcome to this week's edition of SRTU. 6 00:00:28,800 --> 00:00:33,760 I am one after the show, I am Jeff Pack, joining every single week for my close to the one 7 00:00:33,760 --> 00:00:37,400 of only Dr. Trey Franklin, Dr. Trey. 8 00:00:37,400 --> 00:00:41,400 Last time is now my friend. 9 00:00:41,400 --> 00:00:44,200 Oh, the last time? 10 00:00:44,200 --> 00:00:45,200 The last time. 11 00:00:45,200 --> 00:00:46,200 In the wrestling world? 12 00:00:46,200 --> 00:00:48,200 It's really the last time. 13 00:00:48,200 --> 00:00:49,200 Last time. 14 00:00:49,200 --> 00:00:52,000 Oh man, I better buy it. 15 00:00:52,000 --> 00:00:56,000 I better buy it all my John Cena merchandise because I don't think they'll ever sell John 16 00:00:56,000 --> 00:00:58,600 Cena merchandise after this week. 17 00:00:58,600 --> 00:01:00,600 I better, I gotta stock up and load up now. 18 00:01:00,600 --> 00:01:03,800 No more fruity pebbles, shirts, ever again, Jeff. 19 00:01:03,800 --> 00:01:08,600 No more action figures, no more plushies, no more anything like that. 20 00:01:08,600 --> 00:01:12,600 Just last time is now and it's against Gunther. 21 00:01:12,600 --> 00:01:13,600 Yay! 22 00:01:13,600 --> 00:01:14,600 Yeah, let's get into it. 23 00:01:14,600 --> 00:01:17,400 So this is obviously a huge week of professional wrestling. 24 00:01:17,400 --> 00:01:22,600 This is going to be the main focus of this week's edition of SRTU. 25 00:01:22,600 --> 00:01:26,900 This past Friday, Gunther winning the last time is now tournament by defeating LA Knight 26 00:01:26,900 --> 00:01:29,600 in the main event on SmackDown, Dr. Trey. 27 00:01:29,600 --> 00:01:31,120 I know we talked about it last week. 28 00:01:31,120 --> 00:01:36,200 We all felt it was going to be Gunther, but we were hoping that it would be LA Knight. 29 00:01:36,200 --> 00:01:39,960 Gunther versus John Cena is his final match. 30 00:01:39,960 --> 00:01:42,760 Gunther is promoting the hell out of this, rightfully so. 31 00:01:42,760 --> 00:01:48,680 He is saying in interviews that this is a torched passing match in a way. 32 00:01:48,680 --> 00:01:49,920 I'm a fan of Gunther. 33 00:01:49,920 --> 00:01:51,920 I love his in-ring work. 34 00:01:51,920 --> 00:01:56,600 I would love to see John Cena versus Gunther at some point during the farewell tour. 35 00:01:56,600 --> 00:02:03,680 I don't love that it's the final match and I don't see this as a torched passing either. 36 00:02:03,680 --> 00:02:09,160 So your thoughts as Gunther will have the right to be the person that has the final match 37 00:02:09,160 --> 00:02:13,680 with John Cena in a WWE ring in his wrestling career. 38 00:02:13,680 --> 00:02:18,920 So I don't hate it on face value. 39 00:02:18,920 --> 00:02:25,840 Like Gunther is positioned to either be the top heel in the company or like he's going 40 00:02:25,840 --> 00:02:29,960 to be one of the top guys for the next 10 years. 41 00:02:29,960 --> 00:02:31,520 Like he's still young enough. 42 00:02:31,520 --> 00:02:34,920 He's arguably one of the best in-ring wrestlers. 43 00:02:34,920 --> 00:02:39,040 Maybe the most believable in-ring wrestler going today. 44 00:02:39,040 --> 00:02:44,360 Like we watch his matches and I don't think you can watch a Gunther match without at least 45 00:02:44,360 --> 00:02:48,880 one moment where you're like, oh dear God, that looks like that hurt. 46 00:02:48,880 --> 00:02:54,400 Like he's the most believable guy around. 47 00:02:54,400 --> 00:02:58,240 You brought up a great point last week when you're like, this is going to be the man that 48 00:02:58,240 --> 00:03:06,840 basically has Goldberg's last match and John Cena's last match on his resume going forward. 49 00:03:06,840 --> 00:03:11,920 I kind of wish we could spread the wealth around a little bit. 50 00:03:11,920 --> 00:03:17,000 I'm actually surprised that John Cena said, hey for my last match, I want to get the shit 51 00:03:17,000 --> 00:03:22,760 kicked out of me because that's what's going to happen like physically. 52 00:03:22,760 --> 00:03:25,200 Like I'm good with the peripherals of it. 53 00:03:25,200 --> 00:03:28,440 I don't like how we got here. 54 00:03:28,440 --> 00:03:35,480 I really did not like the finish to the Gunther LA night match. 55 00:03:35,480 --> 00:03:40,560 Those things will probably drift away over time. 56 00:03:40,560 --> 00:03:44,200 In 10 years when we're like, hey Gunther's the guy that we, you know, retired Goldberg 57 00:03:44,200 --> 00:03:49,560 retired John Cena and we're looking at every the totality of Gunther's career at that 58 00:03:49,560 --> 00:03:50,560 point. 59 00:03:50,560 --> 00:03:53,520 I think we'll say that they made the right decision to go with him. 60 00:03:53,520 --> 00:03:58,720 I just right now, like I said, the way we got here, I'm not at huge fan. 61 00:03:58,720 --> 00:04:03,520 See I think that's the right point that you have because that's how I feel. 62 00:04:03,520 --> 00:04:07,040 This could be a move that like five years from now, 10 years from now, whatever. 63 00:04:07,040 --> 00:04:09,040 We look back and we're like, yeah, that was the right call. 64 00:04:09,040 --> 00:04:12,040 Now we can look back and go, okay, that was the right move to do that. 65 00:04:12,040 --> 00:04:16,360 But in the moment, it doesn't because they are polar opposites. 66 00:04:16,360 --> 00:04:21,080 I don't know if a case could be made that this is basically like taking one error of WWE, 67 00:04:21,080 --> 00:04:25,240 which was sports entertainment, you know, a little bit of the dabble of that late 80s, 68 00:04:25,240 --> 00:04:31,640 early 90s, hoagin type stuff of how Cena was as a sports entertainer versus the future 69 00:04:31,640 --> 00:04:37,160 and the present of WWE were you to a little bit more focused on in-ring skill and ability 70 00:04:37,160 --> 00:04:41,800 than you were under the banner of Vince McMahon, basically, of that sports entertainment 71 00:04:41,800 --> 00:04:42,800 mindset. 72 00:04:42,800 --> 00:04:48,480 It's sports entertainment versus wrestling and I don't know quite yet in the moment if 73 00:04:48,480 --> 00:04:51,000 that's what WWE is looking for. 74 00:04:51,000 --> 00:04:58,440 Overall, if this is a torch passing moment, I felt LA Knight is a very formidable foe to 75 00:04:58,440 --> 00:05:03,440 be across the ring from John Cena in that final match versus Gunther. 76 00:05:03,440 --> 00:05:09,200 That to me is there's less polar opposites between LA Knight and John Cena as there are with 77 00:05:09,200 --> 00:05:13,800 John Cena and Gunther when you're talking about torch passing. 78 00:05:13,800 --> 00:05:17,880 There's other things that you could have made the case for should they have held off for 79 00:05:17,880 --> 00:05:22,440 Cody Rhodes at some point of being that person that has that final match with John Cena. 80 00:05:22,440 --> 00:05:27,600 Do you go the nostalgic route and do a Randy Orton or a CM Punk? 81 00:05:27,600 --> 00:05:31,640 Does John Cena flat out tell WWE like this is who I want? 82 00:05:31,640 --> 00:05:36,520 According to reports, it was like however you want to do this basically. 83 00:05:36,520 --> 00:05:42,560 There's so many different avenues they could have done and it felt like this was the direction 84 00:05:42,560 --> 00:05:48,480 since I feel like the late summer when the reports were coming out and I think you've brought 85 00:05:48,480 --> 00:05:50,160 this up as well, Dr. Trey. 86 00:05:50,160 --> 00:05:56,320 The thing that kind of muddies the water a little bit is that Gunther was responsible for 87 00:05:56,320 --> 00:05:59,640 retiring Goldberg earlier this year on Saturday Night's Main event. 88 00:05:59,640 --> 00:06:02,480 So I do feel like that's a little bit of cloudy stuff. 89 00:06:02,480 --> 00:06:07,800 So part of me is wondering if this is part of a bigger storyline moving forward where 90 00:06:07,800 --> 00:06:14,080 if AJ Styles is retiring next year is AJ Styles eventual last match against Gunther. 91 00:06:14,080 --> 00:06:20,280 Now Gunther has this thing where he is retiring our heroes like that's part of his character. 92 00:06:20,280 --> 00:06:24,180 You know if Randy Orton decides to hang up the boots is it Gunther who does the final 93 00:06:24,180 --> 00:06:25,680 match there as well? 94 00:06:25,680 --> 00:06:32,680 Is this going to be a person of his that is quasi storyline, quasi organic similar to how 95 00:06:32,680 --> 00:06:37,640 they added the layer of legend killer to Randy Orton in the early parts of his career? 96 00:06:37,640 --> 00:06:40,800 Part of me is wondering it that way. 97 00:06:40,800 --> 00:06:45,120 I would have liked to go on a different direction but I wonder if there is more if there's more 98 00:06:45,120 --> 00:06:51,960 to this from a business standpoint of the past versus the present and we just don't realize 99 00:06:51,960 --> 00:06:57,800 it now or if this is also part of like Gunther's eventual persona that they're trying to portray 100 00:06:57,800 --> 00:07:00,800 on him moving forward in WWE. 101 00:07:00,800 --> 00:07:06,960 Yeah and you know we've thought about that adding that you know career killer type moniker 102 00:07:06,960 --> 00:07:12,280 to him which sounds really negative but sounds like he's crippling people but you know 103 00:07:12,280 --> 00:07:17,160 there is that element they get added to it and then you know you go back eight months 104 00:07:17,160 --> 00:07:23,240 ago almost a year ago with when Netflix first debut or raw debut on Netflix and there was 105 00:07:23,240 --> 00:07:28,920 talk of Gunther going baby face and maybe this is also you know and when they say passing 106 00:07:28,920 --> 00:07:37,440 of the torch maybe this is a way of hey Gunther's seen you know the light so to speak and later 107 00:07:37,440 --> 00:07:43,440 on whenever he does the baby face turn he can point back to this moment and that be the 108 00:07:43,440 --> 00:07:49,320 reason why he changes his his maniacal ways. 109 00:07:49,320 --> 00:07:56,640 It's on one hand like I the Gunther thing to me is cool because he is in a lot of ways like 110 00:07:56,640 --> 00:08:01,480 the villain of an action movie like he's the kind of guy that you was seeing a die hard and 111 00:08:01,480 --> 00:08:06,040 you're like yeah like I really hope you know Bruce Willis kicks his ass and that's kind of 112 00:08:06,040 --> 00:08:11,320 where we're at now with with Gunther and Jocena where you're just like I really hope Jocena 113 00:08:11,320 --> 00:08:17,440 has got enough in the chamber to to beat down this guy so he is the prototypical villain that 114 00:08:17,440 --> 00:08:24,040 you want in a wrestling company he's a little bit of like the 80s you know throwback evil 115 00:08:24,040 --> 00:08:29,840 uh foreigner type character mixed in with this great professional wrestler attitude to it. 116 00:08:29,840 --> 00:08:36,320 So in a lot of ways he is the perfect foil for the sports entertainer that Jocena is 117 00:08:36,320 --> 00:08:40,880 uh but we've also seen Jocena go out and have some really great matches during this retirement 118 00:08:40,880 --> 00:08:45,680 run so I think this match will be good but like I was saying earlier and it wasn't even the 119 00:08:45,680 --> 00:08:50,080 fact that he won the tournament like LA nights a great choice we talk about CM Punk Randy 120 00:08:50,080 --> 00:08:56,880 Orden LA nights in his 40s it's it's it would be great but I mean LA night probably only has 121 00:08:56,880 --> 00:09:03,920 really four to five really you know top years left and then he'll start slowing down I you 122 00:09:03,920 --> 00:09:07,640 know guys like me like if you're gonna pass a torch you kind of want a younger guy whether 123 00:09:07,640 --> 00:09:11,800 it's and you know we're seeing Oba Femme and Cody Rose this had a main event whether it 124 00:09:11,800 --> 00:09:16,160 was a broad break or somebody else that you can go hey this might be our torch carrying 125 00:09:16,160 --> 00:09:22,640 baby face for the next few years even though he might be a heel now you can go this route 126 00:09:22,640 --> 00:09:29,880 um my biggest issue with the LA night Gunther match was having LA night tap out like I hated 127 00:09:29,880 --> 00:09:34,920 that like that's not what good guys do good guys don't give up especially if you're in the 128 00:09:34,920 --> 00:09:41,720 John Cena tournament you shouldn't be giving up because that's exactly the opposite of the John 129 00:09:41,720 --> 00:09:48,600 Cena character so I had a big issue with that but like I said on paper if we look at this 10 years 130 00:09:48,600 --> 00:09:53,320 from now and Gunther's had a Hall of Fame career and he's ended the careers of you know he was the 131 00:09:53,320 --> 00:09:59,720 last guy for Goldberg Cena AJ Punk Orden whoever it is that's gonna reach higher in the next 10 years 132 00:10:00,440 --> 00:10:05,480 like that's just gonna be another feather in his cap for whatever career he builds out of this 133 00:10:05,480 --> 00:10:10,360 so you bring up an interesting point because that's kind of what the the seeds are being planted 134 00:10:10,360 --> 00:10:14,920 right Gunther wants to tap out John Cena he said it on raw he said in interviews right now I think 135 00:10:14,920 --> 00:10:23,000 I saw it on on first take for ESPN and Clip yesterday um what do you think about that because I think 136 00:10:23,000 --> 00:10:29,240 everybody is expecting Gunther to win right like that's what you do someone on the way out and 137 00:10:29,240 --> 00:10:33,080 Cena said this recently in an interview I forget who it was with maybe Chris Van Ville 138 00:10:33,080 --> 00:10:37,960 where the question was asked like why did you get squashed by Brock and was like well I'm on my 139 00:10:37,960 --> 00:10:44,200 way out let's like build him up and that is probably the same line of thought for John Cena versus 140 00:10:44,200 --> 00:10:49,080 Gunther right I mean that is historically what you always hear when your career's sunsetting 141 00:10:49,080 --> 00:10:55,480 your on your way out you do the job you pass it on to the next person but what about that impact 142 00:10:55,480 --> 00:11:02,120 right um John Cena's always been hustle loyalty respect he's never given up uh I have him 143 00:11:02,120 --> 00:11:08,280 something in my mind right now that's telling me that Gunther wins with a choke out but Cena never 144 00:11:08,280 --> 00:11:14,840 gives up uh that appears to be the foreshadowing the seeds being planted the Easter egg that's being 145 00:11:14,840 --> 00:11:21,800 discussed how do you foresee this match happening or ending on Saturday night's main event doctor 146 00:11:21,800 --> 00:11:27,560 right do you think John Cena actually taps out and that's how the final moment of his in-ring 147 00:11:27,560 --> 00:11:34,760 career that we see or could there be a shocking moment where John Cena does super Cena one last time 148 00:11:34,760 --> 00:11:40,440 and he goes out as a as a winner and as a champion by defeating you know one of the best in the world 149 00:11:40,440 --> 00:11:46,360 in Gunther and and that's how he ends it like how do you foresee this match taking place 150 00:11:47,880 --> 00:11:56,040 I there there's a big part of the thing Cena's gonna tap and and that being you know kind of the 151 00:11:56,040 --> 00:12:05,160 the visual for the fans of like yeah I can't keep up with this current class um I'm trying to remember 152 00:12:05,160 --> 00:12:10,680 it was there a time has Cena passed out in a submission hold I don't think he's ever tapped 153 00:12:10,680 --> 00:12:14,920 I can't remember I don't think he ever tapped occurred angle he might have 154 00:12:16,280 --> 00:12:23,000 passed out wife and I feel like Cena tapped out when he was a heel before the 2004 run I feel like 155 00:12:23,000 --> 00:12:27,800 that has been discussed yeah I almost want to think that was against the undertaker like in Hell's 156 00:12:27,800 --> 00:12:35,080 Gate but yeah I I don't remember many times of him actually physically tapping out because I don't 157 00:12:35,080 --> 00:12:43,000 think the pass out really works and if you're trying to get Gunther over as this mega heel 158 00:12:43,640 --> 00:12:48,040 um and you're also trying to reestablish some credibility because don't forget he tapped out to 159 00:12:48,040 --> 00:12:56,360 Jay Uso from the sleeper joke like really quickly just what six months ago so like if you're trying 160 00:12:56,360 --> 00:13:03,560 to reestablish him as you know a top level villain I think you need seen it actually tap out and 161 00:13:03,560 --> 00:13:09,640 basically that's the way he's wavic acknowledging that not only is is Gunther better in this match but 162 00:13:09,640 --> 00:13:16,920 physically that's why he's stepping away because he can't keep up at the same level that that 163 00:13:16,920 --> 00:13:22,600 John Cena normally could so I'm kind of leaning tap out and didn't we see Gunther use a version of 164 00:13:22,600 --> 00:13:29,720 the STF recently as well wasn't that against LA night that's that's what he did but he did kind of 165 00:13:29,720 --> 00:13:34,920 like this back like choke instead like he was pulling up on the chin rather than the forearm 166 00:13:34,920 --> 00:13:40,520 underneath because the forearm underneath does not look good folks well no because technically it's a 167 00:13:40,520 --> 00:13:47,480 chokehold and that's I love this interesting right now where it's like you'll see a guy they're going 168 00:13:47,480 --> 00:13:52,760 he's blatantly choking him and that's illegal but then they'll call a chokehold and they're like he's 169 00:13:52,760 --> 00:13:58,360 tapping out to a chokehold I'm like you shouldn't that be if putting my hands around your throat is 170 00:13:58,360 --> 00:14:05,720 considered an illegal choke shouldn't a forearm around the throat be an illegal choke as well like I 171 00:14:05,720 --> 00:14:10,680 just I'm always questioning that that's I get onto the young wrestlers about that stuff I'm like 172 00:14:10,680 --> 00:14:17,880 make it make sense but yeah like what if Cena taps out and then that's to me that would be the 173 00:14:17,880 --> 00:14:24,280 most logical way to really not only see the guy who ended John Cena's career but he's the guy who 174 00:14:24,280 --> 00:14:31,640 tapped out hustle loyalty respect never give up like that yeah that goes on the resume and that you can 175 00:14:31,640 --> 00:14:38,280 you can like just like you know Brock Lesnar being the one in 21 and one this is the guy who made John 176 00:14:38,280 --> 00:14:45,320 Cena give up yeah that's probably do you think what is more impactful okay or what what is more 177 00:14:45,320 --> 00:14:50,360 I think I know the answer I think this is a very easy answer what is more impactful but what do you 178 00:14:50,360 --> 00:14:58,600 more want to see I mean we're we're both expecting Gunther to win right does Gunther make do you 179 00:14:58,600 --> 00:15:06,600 what what is more impactful Gunther making Cena tap out or Gunther passing out John Cena and then 180 00:15:06,600 --> 00:15:11,480 what do you want to see do you want to see Cena tap out is that a big deal to you or would you prefer 181 00:15:11,480 --> 00:15:19,800 to see him pass out and that's how his career ends I mean as as a John Cena fan like and I say that 182 00:15:19,800 --> 00:15:25,160 like John Cena has never been my favorite guy but he's you know we respect the hell out of John Cena 183 00:15:25,160 --> 00:15:33,160 I want to see him tap out I think that is more impactful for somebody's career because then you can go 184 00:15:33,160 --> 00:15:38,680 holy choked out John Cena or John Cena passed out but he didn't quit he never gave up and so he 185 00:15:38,680 --> 00:15:45,480 held on to that so if you're going for something that is more impactful it would be Cena actually tapping 186 00:15:45,480 --> 00:15:51,080 out as opposed to just passing out from from the sleeper home yeah I mean I totally agree that's what 187 00:15:51,080 --> 00:15:56,760 I said I said I think this is a very easy question to answer so the tap out more impactful what do I 188 00:15:56,760 --> 00:16:04,200 want to see I want to see him pass out I don't want to you know Gunther made him you know Gunther won 189 00:16:04,200 --> 00:16:09,880 but he didn't give up like that's like going out on your sword and it's like kind of like a poetic 190 00:16:09,880 --> 00:16:19,320 way for Cena to to go out so it's it's it's gonna be a wild time doctor I don't know if you're aware of 191 00:16:19,320 --> 00:16:23,240 this yet but that match is actually opening Saturn and it's made a bet did you know that 192 00:16:23,240 --> 00:16:31,240 which is weird for me because I'm like are we doing the boots in the ring send off like that's 193 00:16:31,240 --> 00:16:35,880 typically what guys do when they retire they take the boots off they leave them in the ring you 194 00:16:35,880 --> 00:16:42,600 know and then they walk off on under their own power if you're doing that in the beginning of the show 195 00:16:42,600 --> 00:16:52,280 like how do you how do you go from here yeah like I mean because looking at the card it's mostly 196 00:16:52,280 --> 00:17:02,440 you know main roster NXT like yeah I we all want to see Cody and Oba go at it I think we're I think 197 00:17:02,440 --> 00:17:06,120 you and I probably don't say about like we're super excited for that match just because it's like 198 00:17:06,120 --> 00:17:13,800 dear God that's just incredible in a lot of ways but there's not as much emotional investment 199 00:17:13,800 --> 00:17:18,360 in some of these other matches then you have in this one and and maybe that's where that that 200 00:17:18,360 --> 00:17:25,640 like I'm 80% sure Gunther's winning this match but that's 20% maybe that's that 20% where Cena wins 201 00:17:25,640 --> 00:17:31,960 in the opening match and we don't get that emotional send off at the end um and maybe the emotional 202 00:17:31,960 --> 00:17:36,440 send off as Cena's in the building and Cena comes out to save somebody at the end of the show and 203 00:17:36,440 --> 00:17:43,720 then that's how we end Saturday's made event staying didn't lose his last match which he wanted to 204 00:17:43,720 --> 00:17:51,080 he wanted to lose yeah like that young box and Tony Khan was like no you're winning yeah I mean 205 00:17:51,080 --> 00:17:55,160 and that's one of those things right now or it's like maybe there is that that the new thing is 206 00:17:55,160 --> 00:18:03,640 to have the guy go out winning and Cena can win the match on on you know a fluke AA123 and I don't 207 00:18:03,640 --> 00:18:10,440 think people would hate it but you know it's it's to open the show I mean most of your people are 208 00:18:10,440 --> 00:18:14,200 tuning in to see that match what happens when that match is over do they tune out and you go 209 00:18:14,200 --> 00:18:20,200 go somewhere else like that's that AEW thing where they you put the world title match on first and then 210 00:18:20,200 --> 00:18:24,520 why do I need to watch the rest of the show this is what I wanted to see well this is like 211 00:18:24,520 --> 00:18:31,400 Cena's request which is which is kind of odd right I I'm actually I love the concept of the show 212 00:18:31,400 --> 00:18:37,000 I think it's really cool yeah maybe not my favorite matchups that I would have said if I was doing 213 00:18:37,000 --> 00:18:43,160 an NXT versus WWE like Dream Card like you know Newstar versus Youngstar I think probably 214 00:18:43,160 --> 00:18:49,080 Oba Cody could potentially be on there but maybe I go like a different direction and you know 215 00:18:49,080 --> 00:18:55,480 I'd prefer to see like Oba versus Roman or Oba versus Brock or Oba Oba versus a Braun Breaker 216 00:18:55,480 --> 00:19:05,080 or whatever but that part intrigues me the opening up the show I'm with you I expect I you know 217 00:19:05,080 --> 00:19:10,200 boots in the ring and I don't know if you remember this at all Dr. Trey but when Rick Flair retired 218 00:19:10,200 --> 00:19:15,720 from WWE after WrestleMania 24 the next time on Raw they closed out the show with like this massive 219 00:19:17,320 --> 00:19:23,720 show of appreciation of love or the entire roster came out I fully expect that I know I know 220 00:19:23,720 --> 00:19:30,680 they're saying right now according to reports there's no runtime on the show but yeah I mean the 221 00:19:30,680 --> 00:19:36,280 emotional roller coaster that I think fans are going to be on whether you loved Cena like Cena 222 00:19:36,280 --> 00:19:42,680 respected Cena hated Cena you know there is a part of nostalgia that'll end on Saturday where 223 00:19:42,680 --> 00:19:48,520 it's a chapter closing it's you know even when there's athletes that I I'm not fans of it's like 224 00:19:48,520 --> 00:19:54,200 man that's that's a chapter closing and that to me is how I'm going to be looking at it I mean 225 00:19:54,200 --> 00:20:00,680 I think that first the match probably 20 25 minutes and then the stuff afterwards I mean you 226 00:20:00,680 --> 00:20:06,360 could be looking at the entire first hour of Saturday Night's main event beat plus being just 227 00:20:06,360 --> 00:20:09,720 dedicated to John Cena and then the three other matches will get the rest of the show 228 00:20:11,720 --> 00:20:18,280 yeah I don't know I just feel like I hope that there is a huge celebration post match because 229 00:20:18,280 --> 00:20:25,240 if there's anyone that deserves it it is John Cena. Plus who the hell wants to follow that match 230 00:20:25,240 --> 00:20:33,320 like if you're Bailey and Saul Ruka do you want to be the match after that emotion like how the hell 231 00:20:33,320 --> 00:20:39,080 are you gonna get the fans even to pay attention to your match after they just saw John Cena's last match 232 00:20:39,080 --> 00:20:46,120 like I mean the sting Darby Youngbuck's thing is a good comparison because didn't that one didn't 233 00:20:46,120 --> 00:20:53,160 that one close out the show for AEW that night I believe it did it did yeah yeah but like in uh you 234 00:20:53,160 --> 00:20:58,680 know takers final match I don't think we really knew that was the final match because he did the 235 00:20:58,680 --> 00:21:05,560 boot thing once before and then came back later on down the line um but something like this I mean 236 00:21:06,360 --> 00:21:11,160 you want your biggest emotional attraction tip of the close out the show and this is where WW kind 237 00:21:11,160 --> 00:21:17,400 of needed to step in and go that this is John Cena being humble and going I don't want to be the 238 00:21:17,400 --> 00:21:21,880 focal point of the show I don't want to be the main event like Cena's been really really humble 239 00:21:21,880 --> 00:21:28,200 during this year long run when it comes to making sure guys are taking care of but this is where 240 00:21:28,200 --> 00:21:33,560 WW should say should said John this is your last match we're closing the show with you because 241 00:21:34,280 --> 00:21:41,880 hey you're the biggest star in the last 20 years in this company and be who the hell wants to go 242 00:21:41,880 --> 00:21:46,520 after you like who wants to be in there because the crowd is going to be so emotionally invested in 243 00:21:46,520 --> 00:21:52,040 that match whether they want to admit it or not that by the time that match is over it's going to be 244 00:21:52,040 --> 00:21:58,680 really hard to get the crowd back up for the next three matches so it's it's it's going to be 245 00:21:58,680 --> 00:22:04,760 interesting see if they can I kind of expect them to do something kind of crazy on this show towards 246 00:22:04,760 --> 00:22:11,320 the end just to kind of get the crowd back up for the end of the show I just don't know what to be 247 00:22:11,320 --> 00:22:14,440 but by the way and I was going to ask is it will probably get into the little bit but 248 00:22:14,440 --> 00:22:21,240 um open Cody was kind of surprising I kind of thought it'd be Ricky and Cody yeah yeah I thought 249 00:22:21,240 --> 00:22:25,240 so too I think I'll probably pause on that because we're talking so much about Cena right now 250 00:22:25,240 --> 00:22:28,760 because we've got deadline and we'll talk about Saturday and it's been about to definitely address that 251 00:22:28,760 --> 00:22:36,280 but I'm I'm certainly with you on that one um yeah the the scene is I kind of you know the more I think 252 00:22:36,280 --> 00:22:42,040 about it I kind of like it dr. Trey because it's like a chapter closes at the beginning and then you 253 00:22:42,040 --> 00:22:46,760 are looking at the future afterwards it's going to be different than what we're used to 254 00:22:46,760 --> 00:22:52,600 but it's again I always use this word but it's like poetic in a sense that it's like this is the 255 00:22:52,600 --> 00:22:59,800 chapter closing and this is what we're um we're doing you know moving forward so with with the company 256 00:22:59,800 --> 00:23:07,640 it's um it's an interesting time it's it's it's it's going to be strange how do you feel going into 257 00:23:07,640 --> 00:23:13,000 this dr. Trey knowing that John Cena's in-ring career is over like what do you expect for yourself as 258 00:23:13,000 --> 00:23:17,720 you you know either you watch the show live or you watch it on demand like what what are your 259 00:23:17,720 --> 00:23:23,800 fields right now knowing that we're just days away from the John Cena era of a formerly closing and 260 00:23:23,800 --> 00:23:30,440 roll the ass entertainment it's it's surreal in a lot of ways because typically we don't get these 261 00:23:30,440 --> 00:23:38,360 announcements that hey well we've never had you know a rolling stones type retirement tour for somebody 262 00:23:38,360 --> 00:23:44,200 before so that's new but you know and typically if we knew somebody was about to retire like whether 263 00:23:44,200 --> 00:23:49,160 like Goldberg earlier this year we knew that this was coming that he was going to have a last match 264 00:23:49,160 --> 00:23:55,240 it is a sense of surrealism especially because we've seen John Cena pretty regularly over this year 265 00:23:55,240 --> 00:24:01,480 it's not like years past where we'd see him once a year or you know four times a year like he's been 266 00:24:01,480 --> 00:24:08,360 semi-regular during this retirement tour so I don't know if it's it's really sunk in and it may not 267 00:24:08,360 --> 00:24:13,320 actually sink in until the close of that match I mean you know we were joking to start the show about 268 00:24:14,040 --> 00:24:19,800 no more Cena merch and no more Cena plushees and all that's like I literally bought Sammy Franklin 269 00:24:19,800 --> 00:24:25,400 the old John Cena 8 gig t-shirt that looks like a super Nintendo game 270 00:24:25,400 --> 00:24:30,920 yeah that's a bottom that shirt I bought him that shirt for Christmas this year because John Cena is 271 00:24:30,920 --> 00:24:37,000 Sammy Franklin's favorite wrestler and it's a little sad that you know he's six years old and 272 00:24:37,000 --> 00:24:43,880 this guy's retiring and you know he's not going to get to see him in the ring anymore going forward 273 00:24:43,880 --> 00:24:51,640 but does he know what's going on no no concept of it are you gonna tell him like it's his last match like 274 00:24:51,640 --> 00:24:59,320 how do you or just still too young to understand that and and honestly if if I feel like I know he gets 275 00:24:59,320 --> 00:25:06,200 really emotional during John Cena matches like he is if Cena's winning he is talking smack 276 00:25:06,200 --> 00:25:12,920 to everybody else in the house the entire time and when Cena's on the defense he's screaming at the 277 00:25:12,920 --> 00:25:18,840 TV that the other guy is cheating whether he's cheating or not he just tell you that if John Cena's 278 00:25:18,840 --> 00:25:26,040 losing is because somebody else is cheating so I don't even know if I'm going to let him watch 279 00:25:26,040 --> 00:25:33,560 that match yet live until he can put in plus it it's also depending on the time it might be it 280 00:25:33,560 --> 00:25:39,960 might be a little bit after his bedtime also but it's just he doesn't understand retirement 281 00:25:41,160 --> 00:25:45,400 so I can't really tell him hey this is the last time John Cena's going to wrestle because that'll just 282 00:25:45,400 --> 00:25:51,000 flip him out to the core yeah so it may just be one of those things where like 283 00:25:51,000 --> 00:25:58,760 he becomes aware of it later more than anything else I do think I'll probably let him watch the 284 00:25:58,760 --> 00:26:03,240 match and then because I'm trying to teach him also like he is the worst 285 00:26:03,240 --> 00:26:11,080 loser of anything in the world like he absolutely comes unglued if you beat him at some 286 00:26:11,080 --> 00:26:21,320 point and when Cena lost to Cody he was just livid during that match that Cena actually lost that's 287 00:26:21,320 --> 00:26:26,440 why didn't let him watch the Brock Lesnar match because I kind of thought it might go the way it went 288 00:26:26,440 --> 00:26:33,800 but I'm trying to teach him that it's okay to lose as long as you're doing your best 289 00:26:33,800 --> 00:26:41,000 and so I may let him watch that match just to kind of reemphasize that point that it's not always 290 00:26:41,000 --> 00:26:44,920 winning and losing it really is about putting forth your best effort. 291 00:26:44,920 --> 00:26:51,480 All right well Dr. Trey with that being said John Cena's final match this Saturday in Washington DC 292 00:26:51,480 --> 00:26:57,240 Saturday and it's main event John Cena's final match we will look towards that show here 293 00:26:57,240 --> 00:27:03,480 momentarily but first because there is some stuff that happened at the the NXT show this past 294 00:27:03,480 --> 00:27:08,520 Saturday that affects Saturday and it's a main event let's get into it NXT deadline recap so this 295 00:27:08,520 --> 00:27:13,640 was from this past Saturday from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio Texas we had Oba 296 00:27:13,640 --> 00:27:19,640 Femi defeating Ricky Saints to win back the NXT Championship he's now a two time champion 297 00:27:19,640 --> 00:27:23,960 Javon Evans defeated Leon Slater Joe Hendry, Dion Lannix and Miles Bourne to win the men's Iron 298 00:27:23,960 --> 00:27:28,120 Survivor Challenge match for an NXT Championship match against Oba Femi was supposed to be at New Year's 299 00:27:28,120 --> 00:27:35,720 Evil he cashed in on that this past Tuesday on NXT losing to Oba Femi thanks to interference from now 300 00:27:35,720 --> 00:27:41,000 I guess the heel absolute Ricky Saints Kendall Gray shocked the world by defeating sole Rooka 301 00:27:41,000 --> 00:27:44,520 Lola vice Kalani Jordan Jordan Gray's to win the women's Iron Survivor Challenge match for NXT 302 00:27:44,520 --> 00:27:50,120 Women's Championship match at New Year's Evil I've become a very quick fan of Kendall Gray what an 303 00:27:50,120 --> 00:27:55,480 amazing talent she is is he damned defeated Tane and Paxley Ethan Page defeated Mr. Guana to 304 00:27:55,480 --> 00:28:00,360 retain the NXT North American Championship Dr. Trey what were your thoughts and takeaways from NXT 305 00:28:00,360 --> 00:28:06,360 deadline this past Saturday my friend I mean I mentioned a little bit earlier I was I was kind of surprised 306 00:28:06,360 --> 00:28:13,960 that Oba Femi regained the NXT Championship because I was kind of looking forward to seeing a 307 00:28:13,960 --> 00:28:22,360 a Ricky Saints Cody Rose Saturday night main event matchup they have some good matches in 308 00:28:22,360 --> 00:28:27,320 AEW so I was kind of wanting to see that their co-girl this one but Oba Femi and Cody's kind of 309 00:28:27,320 --> 00:28:34,280 dream I imagine then the fallout with with you know Ricky Saints quasi turning heel I don't know 310 00:28:34,280 --> 00:28:39,960 if we're there yet but he did cause Javon Evans to not win that match is interesting as well but 311 00:28:39,960 --> 00:28:44,680 that's kind of we talked about it like that's kind of what they do at NXT like if you're a baby 312 00:28:44,680 --> 00:28:50,280 face and you win the championship they come back and make you a heel just to kind of see which side 313 00:28:50,280 --> 00:28:58,440 you seem to do better always seem to with you know a number of talents the the men's iron survivor match 314 00:28:58,440 --> 00:29:03,640 I don't know I don't know if I could get really get into it it was a fantastic match it was fun 315 00:29:03,640 --> 00:29:11,800 to watch I just didn't get into it as much as I did previous iron survivor matchups but it was 316 00:29:11,800 --> 00:29:16,280 good on Javon to get the win because he almost won it last year and then getting the cash in at least 317 00:29:16,280 --> 00:29:21,400 is building a storyline for him and I'm with you the women's iris of Iron Match like yeah Kendall 318 00:29:21,400 --> 00:29:28,440 Gray just really stood out in that match the the other women in the match we've all kind of seen 319 00:29:28,440 --> 00:29:36,760 before we saw the Saul Rook and Andrew Angle they love to do but yeah it's just she's a fantastic 320 00:29:36,760 --> 00:29:45,160 like she's got this sounds weird and and and maybe I'm off the transition from her amateur experience 321 00:29:45,160 --> 00:29:52,200 into where she's at and wrestling is one of the quickest transitions I've ever seen like she looks 322 00:29:52,200 --> 00:29:59,880 naturally fluid in the rain and you don't see that very often I won't use the Kurt Angle comparison 323 00:29:59,880 --> 00:30:08,200 because that's elite level but she's like up there on just how fast she's transition from her 324 00:30:08,200 --> 00:30:14,920 amateur wrestling background and other athletics into pro wrestling like she could be a big 325 00:30:14,920 --> 00:30:20,440 time star here in the near future she's got the look she's got the talent she's got the Mike 326 00:30:20,440 --> 00:30:26,120 skills already like she's gonna be you want on the fast track kind of like what we saw with Saul 327 00:30:26,120 --> 00:30:31,800 Rook at this past year and Saul getting her center nice main event matchup at Bailey I mean I 328 00:30:31,800 --> 00:30:37,080 think we can see the same thing with Kendall Gray here before long yeah there's the Kendall 329 00:30:37,080 --> 00:30:42,280 Gray part I'll start there I think they're beating the comparison to Kurt Angle a little too 330 00:30:42,280 --> 00:30:50,200 to death yeah honestly on on NXT television I get it the thing with her is so I know you probably 331 00:30:50,200 --> 00:30:56,040 did not watch this doctor tray I would watch level up I am not watching evolve so I watched level up 332 00:30:56,040 --> 00:31:02,600 when Kendall Gray was on there and she tagged a lot with I believe Cali Bright I think that's the name 333 00:31:02,600 --> 00:31:10,280 that she has an NXT and she was okay nothing that stood out I've watched her the last let's say month 334 00:31:10,280 --> 00:31:16,200 on NXT television and you heard some whispers like she's the real deal and and she is backing it up 335 00:31:16,200 --> 00:31:21,160 I also heard the same thing about Cali Armstrong which I've seen very few matches of hers but 336 00:31:21,160 --> 00:31:27,400 Kendall Gray is legit like you I'm watching this right now and I'm like a year two years three years 337 00:31:27,400 --> 00:31:33,000 Kendall Gray could very well be in a WrestleMania match for championship either as the champion or 338 00:31:33,000 --> 00:31:37,800 as a challenger like she is that good it reminds me of the build of Tiffany Stratton honestly because I 339 00:31:37,800 --> 00:31:42,600 watched Tiffany Stratton go from that level up to NXT television to just obviously ascend to where 340 00:31:42,600 --> 00:31:50,760 her career is today Kendall Gray is is really really good both iron survivor challenge matches so 341 00:31:50,760 --> 00:31:54,440 as long as they've been doing it I have loved this match I've talked about how much I've 342 00:31:54,440 --> 00:32:01,160 gushed all over I think it's like a very similar to the casino battle royal matches that they do now 343 00:32:01,160 --> 00:32:09,400 in a w I have felt like or is that the casino gauntlet match they call it now not the battle royal I feel 344 00:32:09,400 --> 00:32:14,680 like it's like one of those underrated match gimmicks that is really really good I gotta say I was 345 00:32:14,680 --> 00:32:21,160 let down by both matches this year I thought both matches were carbon copies layouts of how each one 346 00:32:21,160 --> 00:32:26,840 went I mean the last second pin like yeah that gets a great pop but we've seen that already with 347 00:32:26,840 --> 00:32:31,240 like trick Williams and then I saw it earlier in the night with the women's match and then I'm seeing 348 00:32:31,240 --> 00:32:36,360 it in the later of the night with the men's match I felt like they needed to get a little bit more 349 00:32:36,360 --> 00:32:42,120 creative than basically do a blueprint of the same exact match to a degree in those final five minutes 350 00:32:42,120 --> 00:32:46,520 so I thought both matches were were let down I still think it's a great match concept I'd like to 351 00:32:46,520 --> 00:32:51,400 see it integrated more in NXT quite honestly rather than once a year I don't think it over does it 352 00:32:51,400 --> 00:32:57,240 all that much so I was let down by that over defeating Ricky St. was a surprise that kind of carry is 353 00:32:57,240 --> 00:33:02,040 over to some conversation about the match with Cody Rhodes Saturday nights main event but Ricky 354 00:33:02,040 --> 00:33:09,080 turning heel on Tuesday on NXT by costing Javon Evans the match I thought was a nice touch I would 355 00:33:09,080 --> 00:33:12,680 have liked to see this wait a little bit but clearly they wanted to go forward with the Ricky 356 00:33:12,680 --> 00:33:18,840 St. Seale run I would prefer save it for NXT New Year's evil quite honestly is he day in Tainempaxi 357 00:33:18,840 --> 00:33:24,840 good entertaining match good storyline match like that Ethan Page has been a great character on 358 00:33:24,840 --> 00:33:29,880 NXT television all year long the Mr. Guana stuff I feel like his popularity has really kind of 359 00:33:29,880 --> 00:33:35,480 gone downhill I thought that match was not necessary to be needed on this show quite honestly and 360 00:33:35,480 --> 00:33:41,320 it was just like an add on but it was a fine show doctor try I thought NXT deadline was you know a 361 00:33:41,320 --> 00:33:46,600 step up from a normal episode of NXT honestly yeah I didn't even bring up the Ethan Page 362 00:33:46,600 --> 00:33:52,840 Mr. Guana match because I would like the Mr. Guana gimmick is exactly that like it's entertaining 363 00:33:52,840 --> 00:33:59,560 like you kind of have to make it special if you see it all the time like there's only so much 364 00:33:59,560 --> 00:34:05,560 you can do now that mind you Mr. Guana is actually a good wrestler but the gimmick itself is a little 365 00:34:05,560 --> 00:34:13,000 bit like yeah you you kind of runs for it's an Ethan Page and the Ethan Page Chelsea pairing maybe 366 00:34:14,360 --> 00:34:20,600 if we ever do a category for the favorite thing you saw in wrestling on our award show this year it 367 00:34:20,600 --> 00:34:28,520 might be Chelsea and Ethan Page because they've just been phenomenal all year long um is he in Tainempa 368 00:34:28,520 --> 00:34:33,880 I left that just because it kind of slipped my mind but that was storyline wise was good and solid 369 00:34:33,880 --> 00:34:40,840 as well but yeah like the thing we're saying by the iron iron survivor challenge is almost the same 370 00:34:40,840 --> 00:34:45,960 thing we said a couple weeks ago about survivors series war games like they were almost carbon copies 371 00:34:45,960 --> 00:34:53,240 of each other and that just shows a little bit of lazy producing and and maybe also like there are 372 00:34:53,240 --> 00:34:57,960 times that you just can't come up with a something fresh and innovative that we haven't seen before 373 00:34:57,960 --> 00:35:03,400 because after a while you know all the cool stuff's already been taken it's just that you just have 374 00:35:03,400 --> 00:35:09,240 the kind of present stuff in different ways but I don't know if I could handle seeing it more if 375 00:35:09,240 --> 00:35:15,080 if if we're seeing the trajectory of the match quality kind of go down I don't know if we want to see 376 00:35:15,080 --> 00:35:23,080 it more so it was kind of a let down match but overall the like you said it was like a really really 377 00:35:23,080 --> 00:35:32,200 good episode of NXT uh like I'm just glad I didn't have to pay any extra money true true um and I guess 378 00:35:32,200 --> 00:35:35,560 it kind of carries over to Saturday and to be in a van I mean we've beaten the John Cena got their 379 00:35:35,560 --> 00:35:39,800 stuff already we've we've already discussed that so looking at the three other matches you've got 380 00:35:39,800 --> 00:35:45,400 undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes versus NXT champion Oba Femi um you know you brought up some 381 00:35:45,400 --> 00:35:50,120 points there Dr. Trey early on in the show so so what are your thoughts going in this one with 382 00:35:50,120 --> 00:35:56,200 with Cody and Oba rather than Cody taking on his protege Ricky Saints I mean I'm excited for 383 00:35:56,200 --> 00:36:02,200 the match like I've been wanting to see Oba on on a bigger stage for a while I think the shock 384 00:36:02,200 --> 00:36:09,080 value for those you know casual WWE fans who don't really watch NXT I think finally seeing Oba Femi 385 00:36:09,080 --> 00:36:14,280 in his size and you know in the ring with Cody I mean I think people are gonna really get taken 386 00:36:14,280 --> 00:36:21,400 to back by it um I was surprised because it shows their faith in Elbe like the safe pick would have been 387 00:36:21,400 --> 00:36:27,000 Ricky Saints because you know him and Cody would have put together a good match because a like you 388 00:36:27,000 --> 00:36:33,320 said Ricky's kind of Cody's protege and plus they've had matches so I'm happy to see Oba get the 389 00:36:33,320 --> 00:36:38,520 spotlight I know you've been hammering about it for a little while I we were hoping to see it 390 00:36:38,520 --> 00:36:45,320 at war games or or have him join the vision I still think there has to be some kind of big payoff 391 00:36:45,320 --> 00:36:51,640 for this match to lead into rumble something happening to Cody to kind of trend towards the rumble 392 00:36:51,640 --> 00:36:57,160 but I'm excited to see it and I'm excited for Ricky Saints because I think Ricky Saints is a 393 00:36:57,160 --> 00:37:02,520 better heel than he is a baby face so I'm hoping he takes this opportunity and really just runs with 394 00:37:02,520 --> 00:37:07,640 yeah I'm with you I think Ricky Saints is much better than a heel than a baby face it's been he 395 00:37:07,640 --> 00:37:13,880 was very watered down as a baby face just did not enjoy it whatsoever I was definitely concerned for 396 00:37:13,880 --> 00:37:17,400 him coming out of deadline it's like well that was a quick title run one thing I'd do with Ricky 397 00:37:17,400 --> 00:37:23,320 now some very good foreshadowing then I got pick on in the moment with the backstage stuff later on 398 00:37:23,320 --> 00:37:28,360 the show with Javon Evans and and Ricky Saints that was obviously replayed at the start of NXT this 399 00:37:28,360 --> 00:37:34,680 past week which then carried itself to the final segment that I thought was really good but yeah I'm 400 00:37:34,680 --> 00:37:39,960 really looking forward to Oba Femi for Cody Rhodes I think this is a test this is the test for Oba 401 00:37:41,000 --> 00:37:48,920 if we see Oba get on the main roster and let's say 46 8 12 months it could very well be because 402 00:37:48,920 --> 00:37:54,760 this match I hope he does well I hope he performs well I think the long term stuff for Oba is very 403 00:37:54,760 --> 00:37:59,640 intriguing and part of me wonders like would they would they do a shock of the world and have 404 00:37:59,640 --> 00:38:04,520 Oba defeat Cody Rhodes I don't think that's out of the rumble possibility I'd put it like at a 40 405 00:38:04,520 --> 00:38:10,920 percent chance right now Dr. Trey so I'm intrigued by that one AJ Styles and Dragon Lee 406 00:38:10,920 --> 00:38:15,080 I guess are defending I can't get clarity on this the defending the World Tag Team Chip Gains 407 00:38:15,080 --> 00:38:21,880 Javon Evans and Leon Slater the TNA X Division Champion how about that for TNA I mean they are 408 00:38:21,880 --> 00:38:31,640 getting one of their guys on the final match show of John Cena's career I mean that is huge for TNA 409 00:38:31,640 --> 00:38:36,840 and I expect this match to be very very fun to watch Bailey versus Sol Ruka I like this one I think 410 00:38:36,840 --> 00:38:42,440 Sol Ruka is the future as well someone how I was gushing about Kennel Gray I would do the same for Sol Ruka 411 00:38:42,440 --> 00:38:47,880 I think being paired with the measuring stick of the women's division in Bailey is the right call 412 00:38:47,880 --> 00:38:52,280 here so those are the four matches including Cena and Gunther obviously that have been announced 413 00:38:52,280 --> 00:38:59,000 Dr. Trey I think it's gonna be a fun show on Saturday night I like the the different look that 414 00:38:59,000 --> 00:39:04,440 the show is getting based off of what John Cena wanted to close out his career yeah I really didn't 415 00:39:04,440 --> 00:39:11,320 cover that two matches but I'm excited for AJ and Dragon Lee against Slater and Evans and it's 416 00:39:11,320 --> 00:39:18,200 mainly because I get to see AJ Styles in the ring against somebody holding an exhibition championship 417 00:39:18,200 --> 00:39:25,960 yeah like that that's really cool so it's cool for TNA it's cool for AJ Leon Slater has quickly 418 00:39:25,960 --> 00:39:31,560 become one of my favorite people and it's mainly because of his promos because I can't understand 419 00:39:31,560 --> 00:39:39,000 half the stuff he says with that Cockney British accent but it's super fun to listen to it's a 420 00:39:39,000 --> 00:39:44,760 little bit like when Shaymus first came on the main roster and his Irish accent was so heavy you 421 00:39:44,760 --> 00:39:51,320 almost needed close captioning to understand it but I'm accepting that match and and Sol Ruka like 422 00:39:51,320 --> 00:39:56,920 this may be the one match where I pick an NXT person to get the win a little bit because of the 423 00:39:56,920 --> 00:40:03,400 Bailey multiple personality storyline in the background but also like if Saul wins I don't think 424 00:40:03,400 --> 00:40:08,520 anybody can be shocked about it because she probably is the future of the women's division on 425 00:40:08,520 --> 00:40:14,280 the main roster here in the next couple years and I actually would not be surprised if Opah 426 00:40:14,280 --> 00:40:19,880 Femi wins because hey Cody needs a challenger for Rumble and if Drew McIntyre shows up and 427 00:40:19,880 --> 00:40:25,880 costs Cody to match Opah gets a big win and then we get a Cody Drew match at Royal Rumble 428 00:40:25,880 --> 00:40:31,800 yeah that would be that would be good I I feel like there's a big moment outside of Cena that takes 429 00:40:31,800 --> 00:40:37,160 place on the show Dr. Trey do you think it's I mean I think I could see them like it could be any of 430 00:40:37,160 --> 00:40:46,840 these things it could be a new tag team champions it could be Sol Ruka shocking the world and defeating 431 00:40:46,840 --> 00:40:51,400 Bailey but I feel like if you want to make an imprint on this show outside of Cena like Opah 432 00:40:51,400 --> 00:40:58,120 defeating Cody does that yeah I mean to me especially with Cena in the opening match like I said earlier 433 00:40:58,120 --> 00:41:05,720 like you need something else big to happen otherwise you're gonna have fans feeling a little bit let 434 00:41:05,720 --> 00:41:12,200 down by having Cena on first and then the rest of the show just being you know I like a souped 435 00:41:12,200 --> 00:41:17,320 up smack down in a lot of ways you know so it's like you need something else to kind of make people 436 00:41:17,320 --> 00:41:32,440 go crap I can't miss the Saturday night main event thing ends yeah no this is on peacock this 437 00:41:32,440 --> 00:41:39,640 on peacock yet exclusive so this also I think the contract runs through March I believe with this 438 00:41:39,640 --> 00:41:46,520 but I'm not entirely sure but yeah you definitely need something big to kind of you know kick us off 439 00:41:46,520 --> 00:41:52,680 into Royal Rumble season as well and not just wait to go raw smack down because I think after this 440 00:41:52,680 --> 00:41:59,960 we only have about five weeks until the Royal Rumble I think it's a little bit more than that no I mean 441 00:41:59,960 --> 00:42:06,280 the less I think it's it's in between it's not when they're doing the championship games I think 442 00:42:06,280 --> 00:42:14,360 it's like the 31st okay so then we got about six weeks yeah yeah yeah two more weeks just two more 443 00:42:14,360 --> 00:42:19,400 weeks in December than four in January so usually this is about the time they start really setting up 444 00:42:19,400 --> 00:42:27,880 the Rumble storylines because I'm pretty sure people will start announcing on the first Netflix 445 00:42:27,880 --> 00:42:32,680 or the next first Raw the new year on Netflix that they're announcing for the Royal Rumble so you 446 00:42:32,680 --> 00:42:38,120 got just a couple weeks really start kicking off Royal Rumble season yeah it's gonna be fun
