- 1:07stand, and he included a live performance and detailed reflection of his career as
- 1:14a songwriter and defended his musical abilities. He is currently fighting a one hundred
- 1:19million dollar copyright case for his song Thinking Out Loud. We've been talking about
- 1:23it all week. He is being sued for alleged copyright infringement, the pseud
- 1:27allege that he took the elements directly from Marvin Gay's Let's Get It On.
- 1:33We've played the audio for you. It seems like it's kind of a close
- 1:37case. But it was really interesting. Don't have time to get into it
- 1:40all. But if you read what he was talking about yesterday, I record
- 1:45this many songs. This is what I'm doing. He started playing music.
- 1:48I'm like, is this a concert for the journey? You know? I
- 1:53try to swoon the ladies rolling. I'm like, this is so great.
- 1:57It was like when flow Rida took Celsius Energy drink too court yep. A
- 2:01few months back. He got up and they were playing his songs, like
- 2:06all of his music because they were a part of some of these commercials and
- 2:08some of the advertising. He's up on the stand and they're like, welcome
- 2:13to my house and He's just sitting there jamming. You can see the judge
- 2:17nodding along, just hilarious. I'm like, what is going on in this
- 2:22world? This is idiocracy at its fine. Oh, I love it.
- 2:24Weatherwise, today gonna be cloudy, but still him about fifty two Tomorrow there
- 2:29is a chance of showers pretty much throughout the day. Hi'm about forty eight
- 2:32and then I think we're getting there. You guys, gonna be sunny,
- 2:36breezy, but I see some sixties coming our way next. Sixty yesterday we
- 2:39did it. Yeah, I was like, sixty four. That is that
- 2:43a fish? That's a fish. I think I was too busy at it's
- 2:46a girl thing. I got there about two thirty yesterday, so I didn't
- 2:47even get to enjoy the fantasy pants. No, it was so funny,
- 2:52you guys. Gracey, Yes, Rambo was there. Really you were the
- 2:57only one not there, James, I didn't know I was allowed. It's
- 2:59a girl things. All those ladies were there, Gallas. It was a
- 3:04blast, So thank you everybody who came out and made that a huge success.
- 3:07But it is Friday, and we've got a big day today. Oh
- 3:12do we Yeah? He was Actually we didn't even talk about this, yet
- 3:15he was busy giving away fifteen hundred dollars. I didn't want to break I
- 3:21didn't. Carrie Abramson called in yesterday and exposed boom boom bam. Well that's
- 3:27why you weren't. Also just for fun, since I've screwed up every name
- 3:30I've announced since the beginning of this contest, it's Abrahamson, abrahams Abraham.
- 3:34Is it really pronounced? Abraham pronounces the abram Abraham Abrahamson. Yeah, well
- 3:39we might have to listen to the congrats to her though, Yeah, fifteen
- 3:44hondy and she got I go, how are you gonna spend it? She
- 3:46goes, Oh, I'll spend it almost I love it? Alright, Awesome,
- 3:52here we go. Speaking of idiocricy that I mentioned earlier, we got
- 3:55Who's Smarter coming up here in about five minutes. It's gonna be Amanda versus
- 4:00one yesterday. I don't I don't know how. I don't know how it's
- 4:03happening either, but it has been a frontal roller coaster of a ride.
- 4:06Who's Smarter? We're gonna hook you up with an awesome prize coming up in
- 4:10five minutes. Today's Variety big naughty eight point seven. So we lost Rose,
- 4:18but we're still gonna play and see if we can't get Rose hooked up
- 4:21with this sickies cash to go spend and get some deliciousness. And it is
- 4:25Amanda versus Rambo. She was going for the girl power, which I appreciate.
- 4:29So let's do it. Oh she picked you? Yeah, sadly she
- 4:32did. Question number one? What is measured in Mickey's I'm thinking of forties
- 4:41right now, so I'm like, not Mickey's the beer I've never heard of
- 4:46it? Is it ear size, the speed of a computer mouse or the
- 4:50speed of a computer mouse? That is correct? How do I don't know?
- 4:55It's felt right? Guys live on Facebook. Good morning to Renee and
- 4:58Evan. Happy Friday. You yes, what's up in public places in the
- 5:02state of Florida? What is illegal to do while wearing a swimsuit? Is
- 5:08it saying drive or eat? Eat? That is incorrect? That is correct?
- 5:18Why did she do it? Are you sure she didn't break into your
- 5:23computer? You should really play the lottery because you've been guessing very well for
- 5:27like the past three weeks. Well, you should go take the bar.
- 5:31Just starts circling of course I do it. Who invented the word vomit?
- 5:38Was it William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar or Joan of I'm just gonna go see
- 5:43Blind Sea. That is incorrect, Joan of Arc, Yeah, this is
- 5:47great. What were the William Shakespeare or Julius Caesar vomit? That's not one
- 5:55of the ends. I'm trying to, like say, like a Shakespeare.
- 5:57Say it a little more, say it? There you go? Are you
- 6:00you? Romeo vomit? I don't know Romeo and Julia? What did you
- 6:03just? I don't know, God making a pizza? Pizza? I didn't
- 6:12be about to get some pizza and vomit. I gotta go Shakespeare. You
- 6:15have a Shakespeare. What was my other one? Julius Senior Caesar, who
- 6:19was actually somewhat Italian, Which is interesting that you went Italian. It is
- 6:23really weird making pizza. But I'm going Shakespeare. That's correct. Yes,
- 6:28unbelievable. I hate this guy. You can see why Gracie gave up,
- 6:32right, She's like, no, I can't beat what's coming at me next
- 6:34week. Come on, guys, James, step on down to the price
- 6:39is wrong. I can't do a Hey Google, Hey, Hey Google,
- 6:49whatever you're gonna like. His name is pelatively maybe eight point seven. Wait,
- 6:58juncture man. It was right after we got off air yesterday with our
- 7:04show I found out that Jerry Springer died. We kind out, we're talking
- 7:09about it, and it was one of those moments you're like, what a
- 7:12part of our child like real feelings about. Yes, we shouldn't have been
- 7:16watching it, but we were. He were. He was only seventy nine
- 7:20years old. He passed away peacefully in his home outside of Chicago. I
- 7:24guess he died from pancreatic cancer. Watching kind of social media unfold yesterday,
- 7:30not only just memes of Jerry Springer, but one that I thought was really
- 7:33cool was Steve Wilkos. Remember he was a security person who ended up having
- 7:39us only spin off show. Right. He jumped on and he said,
- 7:43other than my father, Jerry was the most influential man in my life.
- 7:46Everything I have today I owe to Jerry. He was the smartest, most
- 7:49generous, kindest person I've ever known. My wife and I are devastated.
- 7:53We will truly miss him terribly. Ah, I know, but yeah,
- 7:58just so so sad. But there's so many great just moments from Jerry Springer
- 8:03when everybody always talked about Jerry and the show being staged, right, but
- 8:07he claimed all the way that it never It is absolutely true. Yes,
- 8:13there are people that come on the show, and I'm sure make up the
- 8:16stories. Most don't. Out produces a real good job at finding that out.
- 8:20And occasionally, apparently we have had producers that go over the line and
- 8:24try and get their guests to do things that they shouldn't do. That's wrong.
- 8:26I want the show to be honest, because that's the only way it
- 8:30works. Otherwise you might as well have a soap opera. I wish you
- 8:31no, my show is playing stupid. I mean, it's just I just
- 8:37love him. He was always felt so authentic and real, and I just
- 8:41love when he'd sit back and just watch it like yeah, like he didn't
- 8:45even know what was going on. What happened. I saw clip yesterday where
- 8:50somebody was like, Jerry, you got a nice booty, and then he
- 8:52turned around and he lifted up his shoot jacket and he was a dance hilarious.
- 8:54It went from like Jerry Springer to this end. Came the Kardashians,
- 9:01and that's where I started watching even more ridiculous drama, even though they say
- 9:05that it is scripted, and I get some of it is. They have
- 9:09their season three trailer for this is their Hulu version of this, and it's
- 9:13juicy. You guys, listen, I don't even know where we left off.
- 9:16You were still in a relationship. It was yea, things change really
- 9:22quickly, Okay, not okay? Today your divorce was final. Yeah.
- 9:37I don't know how Kim handles everything with her ex husband. And I don't
- 9:41think you realize the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Sane narrative.
- 9:46We stay silent through all the lives from mands. I just want to
- 9:50cancel my Hulu sister. So she's crying over Pete Davidson. In the breakup,
- 9:58she talks about about the Kanye divorce. But here's the drama for me.
- 10:03First of all, Chloe said no more chances for Tristan Thompson, even
- 10:07though I don't buy it. Courtney Kardashian is so mad at Kim. She
- 10:11said she used her wedding as a business opportunity. Oh my shocked about that?
- 10:18Uh? Why is that? I was gonna say, isn't everything like
- 10:22a business opportunity? With them? Usually you guys stop Season three of The
- 10:26kardashiansn Hulu. Are you I just secretly amended My name is Amandalia Doors Kardashian
- 10:35Loe. You want to have drinks? I'm available, And here we go.
- 10:41A judge granted Jonathan Major's alleged a victim a full restraining order yesterday,
- 10:45ahead of the main ninth court date that he will face assault and harassment charges.
- 10:50A full temporary order means that Majors cannot have any contact with a victim
- 10:52until the court date. Now. His attorney released his statement right after this
- 10:56because when I saw that, I'm like, that makes it feel even more
- 11:00like it's a huge not guilty, but more of a problem. Right.
- 11:03Yeah, she said this is a standard in cases such as this, and
- 11:07we consented because mister Majors wants nothing to do with the woman who assaulted him.
- 11:13Wow, plot twist. We either a really good narrative or maybe the
- 11:18driver does have something. I don't know where I stand here. I need
- 11:22fat I mean all the evidence. His PR team has not been doing a
- 11:24good job so far, so didn't they all quit? And then they all
- 11:28quit? Yeah, this is his attorney. His attorney's the only one coming
- 11:31to save the day. So we'll see how that all goes. Zig Nitty
- 11:33eight point seven. Today's Variety adig Nitty eight point seven. I mean,
- 11:45I couldn't be more ready, you guys. I am so excited about this.
- 11:48It's just been wild. There's been a lot going on. It's no
- 11:52secret. I mean it's been a roller coaster questions from people as well.
- 11:56Finally we are able to at least give a taste of an answer, and
- 12:00Amanda yesterday finally gotta figured out. So that's a no. Oh okay,
- 12:07well, thank you for your time, mister Seacrest. He wasn't a you
- 12:09had to shoot your shot though. H one more number to call, just
- 12:16one? Hey, uh huh good. So what do you think about doing
- 12:24the Morning cho Hey? I know I feel like a big old tees.
- 12:33But Monday morning at seven twenty one, we are going to tell you the
- 12:39best secret. Things are going to get crazy. I am excited. You
- 12:43guys obviously all know what's going on. It's just it is so exciting.
- 12:48We are now saying the brand new morning show on Big at ninety eight seven.
- 12:52We're doing that Monday morning. You are not gonna want to miss it.
- 12:56Maybe we might drop a few hints over the weekend. We'll see if
- 12:58you can guess. Huh, Interestina, I mean we haven't really dropped any
- 13:03hints. No, no hints at all, right, not even a little.
- 13:05Nobody's guest, No made any guests, or we've made no suggestions whatsoever.
- 13:11Clueless. But on a Monday at seven twenty one, you guys,
- 13:15we're gonna tell you all about it. And I cannot so excited love discovering
- 13:20new music. Literally listen all day for the contest. Perfect for listening all
- 13:26day? Will you facebook? Listening all day at work? That's what I
- 13:31meant. Dustin dustin, dustin dustin what I'm looking for? The perfect drink
- 13:39or drink I'm looking for Dustin. Happy Harry's Bottle Shop has gotten the top.
- 13:46I'm like Dustin whins Berry Slicker beer. When he's here, it's always
- 13:50nay dustin Dustin from Happy Harry's Bottle Shops. I know you weren't around last
- 13:58week, but you gearing up for the Happy Harry's Penny Wine sale. It
- 14:01is back. It is a time to stock up for summertime, and you
- 14:05brought all the goods I did. Now remember the penny sale goes four weeks,
- 14:09not too anymore. So, yeah, tell me seventeenth, which I
- 14:11love mainly because first of all, you can make a couple of trips,
- 14:16which is super great. Then you're like, oh, no, I only
- 14:18spent this, honey, don't worry about it, and then you can go
- 14:20back for another, right. But honestly, it's the trying a few of
- 14:26these wines, falling in love with whatever it is you really like, and
- 14:28then going to buy the cases or whatever it may be. I think that's
- 14:31really cool to be able to do that and stretching it out and letting you
- 14:33know we're going to people only have to buy one bottle. Now they try
- 14:37more things. Yeah, everything just has slowed down to just a really good
- 14:41pace, and people just keep telling us they love this format so much better
- 14:46than the previous kind of you know, kind of a yeah exactly, I
- 14:50like this. I like this way too, So I like that we're kind
- 14:52of like we're kind of like the teacher, and we assign homework, which
- 14:58is a casting your wines that you buy. I really like this homework.
- 15:01I excel at it. Actually they do. I think we have a number
- 15:05of pH d candidates in our community don't give her. Then at least one
- 15:09in this room we do what we actually, we're gearing up to do winos
- 15:11again. Women in need a sanity. I mean, there's a whole group
- 15:15of people that need this, and we're excited to talk about some of these
- 15:18new things. A lot of these are coming back and these are fan favorites.
- 15:22There's some fan favorites or some new ones. Um. And remember we
- 15:24have, you know, over two hundred wines on the penny sale. We
- 15:28have another two hundred and fifty wines on an additional sales. There's over five
- 15:31hundred wines on sale. Or he's the in addition to big Beer Sale,
- 15:35Big Spirit sale, everything else. So, James, you said your buddy
- 15:37was this over there the other day, budd He texts me He's like,
- 15:39dude, the wine sales so great. I got all these bourbons for like
- 15:43nothing. He was super exciting. Yeah, he got some. We had
- 15:48some scotch and my scotch. Excuse me, yea, I'm a bourbon guy,
- 15:52so I'll whiskey bourbon bourbon. There's there's vehicles right now. That's actually
- 15:58what my vehicle did its own. We got we got Blantons on the penny
- 16:00sale. You know, if we actually put that out there, we said,
- 16:03hey, we have Blantons on the penny sale, I guarantee you every
- 16:07every one of our stores within fifteen minutes would have a line of guys.
- 16:11I'm going to tell you right now, somebody driving in and think that they
- 16:14heard that, and that's still gonna happen. I was just no tricks from
- 16:18Dustin today anyhow, So I brought some I don't know, kind of best
- 16:22to show in price points. We're entering week two. So the first one
- 16:26is sparkling. This is a Natalie Virga prosecco. We've had it for a
- 16:30number of years. This is the first year we've ever had it on the
- 16:32penny sale. He's just a great prosecco. So if you like some of
- 16:36the ones who've had in the past, you know, the Torissello from last
- 16:38year, this one, this one does not bring a belt to me.
- 16:41But and they also change their label. Maybe that's what it is. Okay,
- 16:45it's you know, it was more old school, kind of traditional Italian.
- 16:48This is kind of fun and doesn't matter, kind of forgetable actually,
- 16:53Okay, yeah, I mean obviously we really stepped up their game with this
- 16:59label. Guy and Natalie Viverger makes awesome wines or they're one of our favorite
- 17:02Italian partners that we that we work with. Um any oh, this is
- 17:04a great persaco for eight and a half bucks net bottle. Uh, Chateau
- 17:08Saint Michel. We've had the Petal gree, We've had the chardonnay, we've
- 17:11had the Saviian blanc in the past for the penny, so we've never had
- 17:15the reasonings. Okay, so we have the reasoning, the sweet reason which
- 17:19is our late harvest version, the dry reasoning, and the virtue we are
- 17:22all for six bucks. So wow, that's awesome, especially in summertime.
- 17:26Yeah. And the nice thing about the Saint Michel just traditional reasoning is it's
- 17:29not super super sweet. So if you're kind of done with Moscato's being too
- 17:34sweet, you go a yeah, kind of step it down a bit.
- 17:37Saint Michel reasoning is just a really nice kind of all right, we're gonna
- 17:41ramp down the sugar level a little bit. Super fash This one I'm really
- 17:45excited about. This is the Natalie Dulcellina. Never heard of adult Cellina?
- 17:49What is that? This is brand brand new Okay. I tried uh some
- 17:53tank samples last fall and I was like, oh, that's fun. So
- 17:57it's a sweet red Italian wine. But if you look at it, it's
- 18:02not like super dark. It's more like a really deep Yeah, but this
- 18:06kind of looks delicious. Yeah, this is fun. And and if if
- 18:08you're not you know, if if you want to start to get into some
- 18:11of the rads but you're just super scared of big rich, is this like
- 18:15a starter wine then even just like if you're to have somebody at your house
- 18:18kind of yeah, I mean, this is kind of a if they're not
- 18:19big wind racers, this is kind of a fun little crow. Okay,
- 18:22awesome screwcaps, which is super cool. Getting into the dry wines. Uh,
- 18:26it's rose season, yes it is. And it's French rose season.
- 18:30So the twenty twenty two Belts rons rose. This is amazing, a beautiful
- 18:37rose. This is the epitome of what French rose should taste like. Just
- 18:41whimsical, bright, crisp, refreshing, great with these screderie trays. Great
- 18:47just sitting by the pool when it hopefully gets a little bit warm. I
- 18:49saw a sixty in the forecast for next week and I think you guys said
- 18:53we hit sixty yesterday. I guess I must have missed that. It didn't
- 18:56feel like it, but seventies finally some patio weather and there's nothing better than
- 18:59a rose. Yeah, we call these porch pounders. Not that I'm advocating
- 19:03for successive drinking. I'm just saying, like you open it up and the
- 19:07screwcap doesn't go back on because it's just fresh and clean and crisp. That
- 19:11one nets out of ten bucks a bottle Silver Beach, you know, the
- 19:14New Zealand Savian Bloc shortages you know from twenty twenty twenty twenty one are resolved
- 19:19now, so there's plenty of great New Zealand Savium block. The Silver Beaches
- 19:23has been one of our top sellers for seven or eight years now. That
- 19:29one net's out at ten bucks. Went Day Morning Fog Shardays. This is
- 19:33one of my favorite Shardonnays. It's just I mean Went Day is the epitome
- 19:36of shardonnay. I mean there's the main chardonnay clone that's used for California production
- 19:44is the went Day clone. I mean, this family is serious about their
- 19:51their schardonay. Well, and it's such a good prize point for how delicious
- 19:53seven to fifty bottle. I mean they're they're in their fourth generation. Um,
- 19:57they're just a great family owned winery. This one's fantastic for the price.
- 20:02I don't think I've tried this one. This one's brand new. So
- 20:04okay, this is Armida. This is our Russian River chardonay. It is
- 20:10gorgeous. Oh it's not. It's a thirty two dollars chardonay. It's a
- 20:15sixteen fifty net bottle. It is not a heavy, heavy handed oak chardonay.
- 20:21It's very elegant. It has you know, soft butter. Uh.
- 20:26The oak is very controlled, the acidity is very pretty. You get a
- 20:29little Granny Smith apple. I mean it's just it's just a great, great
- 20:33zipper. And what was Armida? Armida? All right, um, let's
- 20:37hit the red is. I always get a case of this. There's this
- 20:40is good. And I'm not a big Pinot person anymore, but I love
- 20:42this pinnet. This pinnet montere pinot is just beautiful. Why are you guys
- 20:48laughing? Never mind about you guys. This is also by went Day.
- 20:56Okay. You know, you know great chardonay girls with great pet and a
- 21:00wat They enjoy similar tour and climate. So the pina Pino is just a
- 21:04really pretty bing cherry, a little plum, very balanced acidity. You're going
- 21:11to be smoking that salmon on the trade. This is fantastic if you're going
- 21:15to have the barbecue sauces the ribs Cross Bowl, High Valleys Infidel is amazing.
- 21:21This is a really really good sins controlled yet has that great density that
- 21:25you want and Red's Infidel. This one here that's out at twelve fifty a
- 21:29bottle. Hunik. This is another one that I tried last fall. We
- 21:32did a special direct import out of South America. This is their reserve mallback.
- 21:37They also have a chardonnay in a caberney. This is a serious,
- 21:40serious mallback. It's really good, great structure to it. This one that's
- 21:44out at at eleven fifty bottle. I love this next chardonnay. This one
- 21:48here quickly became a favorite amongst our staff when we did the first tastings last
- 21:53year. This is a Shanna Raj cabernet from Shannon Ridge. It is fantastic.
- 21:59It's nine bucks that bottle. This thing is if you're entertaining and you
- 22:03want just that great wine for the lake. You know you just like your
- 22:07cabernets at night where else? This one here is easy drinker, but really
- 22:11good flavor. Absolutely, And then the final one, this is the twenty
- 22:15twenty Method. Method is our most popular premium cabernet. This one just got
- 22:21ninety three points James Suckling, which is awesome. Huge score for James Suckling
- 22:25nets out of twenty bucks a bottle. The Method napocab. You just can't
- 22:29go wrong with that one. Awesome, you guys. Happy Harry's Penny Wine
- 22:30Salad is going on at all of their locations. It goes until May seventeen,
- 22:36so you still got plenty of time, right get there check it out.
- 22:38Dustin. We made that little announcement, but I know you've been on.
- 22:41When you get to come in every single week for thirteen years or however
- 22:45long it's been, you get a little intel. How excited are you about
- 22:48the announcement on Monday? I'm pumped. Isn't any excited pumped? I have
- 22:52to be careful like how I say I'm pumped, because I don't want to
