  the beast. Specifically, that would be Revelation thirteen, but there

  will be other scriptures to consider in our study of

  this most controversial and mysterious subject matter in your Bible.

  The devil hates you, But I wonder does he hate himself?

  Or does he love himself? Is he even capable of love?

  Is he a self loathing malcontent? Or is he rather

  satisfied with himself? Does he celebrate his victories over the

  souls of men and women, especially those in the church,
• 9:50
  meanwhile suppressing the anxiety of surely knowing his days are numbered? Nay,

  I think the devil is delusional and blinded by pride.

  He thinks I've got a lot of time. I can

  drag out this rebellion for a long time. I can

  take a lot of these humans with me to the
• 10:24
  lake of fire. I can cause a lot of pain

  and destruction on my way out. I mean, I can't

  really put into words the spiritual battle these podcasts entail,

  the research, the time, the attacks on my faith, attacks

  on family members, friends, just trying to beat back depression

  and complete basic tasks. Sometimes me and my daughter never

  really completely healed from the trauma of losing my wife
• 11:26
  in twenty seventeen, my former wife. I'm happily remarried now
• 11:33
  to a very wonderful woman who also lost her husband,
• 11:39
  and we have a blended family now. But boy, does
• 11:44
  that baggage complicate second marriage. Every myriad of complications and
• 11:54
  restrictions and obstacles to some of these episodes reaching your
• 11:59
  ears if you saw some of the behind the scenes stuff,
• 12:09
  and not just family obligations and household chores and stuff,
• 12:13
  just circumstantial things, broken off communications with people on the
• 12:20
  other side of the world. I mean, clearly the Lord
• 12:24
  has placed certain people in your path. But then you know,
• 12:31
  maybe the text messages stop with no explanation, you know,
• 12:36
  or I have a day off, I have some extra
• 12:37
  time to research or record, and the internet goes down.
• 12:42
  It can be like a chain of things and I
• 12:47
  can either be like, well, just one of those days,
• 12:51
  or I can recognize the darts, the arrows, the missiles,
• 12:57
  the roadside ied you know, these things being launched at me.

  But I mean, that's just really dramatic. But this pattern
• 13:17
  of attack, I'm starting to recognize how it increases when
• 13:21
  I pop the lid off one of these deep mysteries
• 13:24
  of God, the things that attract people to the light,
• 13:30
  the subject matter that connects with the sheep who have
• 13:35
  gone astray, the things that proclaim the Gospel of Jesus.
• 13:43
  I have friends getting sucked into cults, friends, family, people
• 13:49
  I care about, and maybe they're just naive. But people
• 13:55
  don't like to hear that they're naive. But I wouldn't
• 14:00
  be telling you, suggesting to you, perhaps you're being a
• 14:06
  little naive if I hadn't been naive at one point
• 14:13
  about you know, certain subjects, I mean Hebrew roots, JW's
• 14:22
  alien New Age stuff, or they worship Odin and Freya
• 14:29
  and Loki, all these ancient gods. And then you have atheists,
• 14:39
  people who have no religion, or their religion is like
• 14:43
  science or some pop culture hodgepodge of anime and Skyrim
• 14:51
  or something I don't even know. And my point is
• 14:57
  not to belittle people of their beliefs, but to challenge
• 15:06
  them to break out of that bubble and to point
• 15:10
  out the mind control weapons and tactics that the enemy
• 15:15
  of all mankind uses to program us. It's transmitted through
• 15:22
  the culture, through media and entertainment, and the educational system.
• 15:32
  And at the same time we have to navigate within
• 15:35
  the culture. So it's really full spectrum warfare, full spectrum
• 15:43
  spiritual warfare included, you know. And I would sound like
• 15:50
  a tard if I hadn't been down this path before.
• 15:59
  I mean, when you go from a fruitless, hapless existence,
• 16:07
  just hanging out, drifting through life, and you imagine yourself
• 16:13
  to be some don Quixote, some stoner mystic person with
• 16:20
  high ideals but no grasp of reality, to having real
• 16:27
  and frightening encounters with the other side. That scared me
• 16:33
  right back into the arms of Jesus. So to experience
• 16:41
  that fog lifting sensation and the sun breaking through the clouds,
• 16:45
  and the peace and the contentment that follows, and the
• 16:50
  blessings and the miracles. When you get off the counterfeit
• 16:58
  system and you align yourself with the will of God,
• 17:01
  that's the only path, the only way that provides that
• 17:08
  for eternity. It's the only way. The early Christians, they
• 17:13
  didn't initially call themselves Christians, they were followers of the
• 17:17
  way that's Jesus. Jesus is the way you get off
• 17:25
  the system of Mammon and get on the faith system,
• 17:28
  which is the currency of God's kingdom. And then, of
• 17:38
  course the fallout is everyone thinks you're crazy, and you
• 17:45
  feel crazy because the devil instantly zero's in on you,
• 17:50
  literally like a Mitsubishi zero in World War two, a suicidal, homicidal,
• 17:57
  kamikaze dive bomb on your whole world. And so you
• 18:04
  start a podcast because I literally need it for therapy.
• 18:10
  I just hope it's somewhat beneficial to my listeners. I mean,
• 18:16
  screw better health, just start a podcast. And I don't

  always know exactly what compels me to tackle these topics
• 18:27
  that I don't feel qualified to talk about. Sometimes, Mark
• 18:33
  of the Beast. Okay, I'm not Matthew Miller, I'm not
• 18:39
  Chris White, I'm not Derek Gilbert. I don't have a
• 18:43
  biblical scholar on to interview. Even so, I don't know
• 18:48
  the Bible that well. I don't know Hebrew, I don't
• 18:51
  know Greek. So the enemy comes in and whispers in
• 18:57
  my ear.

  but God wants me to talk about it. The Holy

  Spirit is directing me to speak about it. How do

  I know God wants me to talk about it? Because

  he keeps showing me things. My flesh doesn't want to
• 19:32
  do this episode because I see myself crashing, burning, sinking.

  So I'm not a Bible expert. I'm not Michael Heiser,
• 19:43
  and my faith even at times, is fragile. Every day
• 19:53
  is a test, and a lot of those days are failures.

  Speaker 7: Sometimes I still feel like that dumb kid on his

  skateboard that had this dumb spirit quest that took hold

  of me when I was about twelve or thirteen years old.

  So when it comes to the mark of the Beast,

  as with many prophetic things, most people's approach to the
• 20:21
  Scripture is to analyze every verse, every word, every concordance,
• 20:27
  every translation, different interpretations. Is it literal, is it figurative,
• 20:32
  is it symbolic? You know, where is this on the
• 20:40
  eschatological timeline. The hermeneutic approach is to focus on the
• 20:49
  micro details, and it's easy to get off into the weeds,
• 20:56
  into the fringe, you could say, because well, the Bible
• 21:01
  is not explicitly clear about all the details, or the
• 21:08
  actual understanding has been partially obscured over the centuries. So
• 21:15
  sometimes we need to zoom out because that provides for
• 21:20
  the most clarity regarding the core truths, and there's less
• 21:28
  squabbling about trivial details when it comes to the mark.
• 21:35
  Does it really matter to your salvation whether the mark
• 21:40
  is a digital tattoo or microchip? Is that what's important
• 21:46
  to understand about revelation is that what God wants us
• 21:50
  to focus on, because it could be one or the
• 21:56
  other or neither. If you're waiting for the brain that
• 22:00
  gets implanted in your forehead or your right hand, you
• 22:03
  might be well, I guess it wouldn't be a brain
• 22:06
  chip if it was in your hand. If you're waiting
• 22:09
  for the chip, you might be deceived when the actual
• 22:14
  mark is revealed when it's introduced, because if we're being
• 22:22
  completely honest and not presumptuous, nobody really knows what this
• 22:28
  is going to look like when it ultimately manifests, and
• 22:32
  we don't know the exact scenario from which this emerges.
• 22:37
  We don't know the exact identity of the Antichrist. We
• 22:41
  don't even know precisely the time or the place, and
• 22:46
  not even Jesus knows Jesus. So I balk at a
• 22:59
  lot of these Bibles prophecy forecasters who make very specific
• 23:04
  conclusions premature conclusions. Trump is the anti Christ and Elon
• 23:12
  is the false prophet. Neuralink must be the mark of
• 23:16
  the beast. So when Trump and Elon Musk have been
• 23:22
  dead and buried for one hundred years and technology has
• 23:27
  advanced way beyond silly brain chips, then what, well, you
• 23:33
  look foolish, that's what. What are the fundamental things that
• 23:43
  we know about the mark of the beast? What are
• 23:46
  other examples of marks in the Bible? What else can
• 23:51
  we compare this mark to using the Bible to interpret
• 23:56
  the Bible. And also, as part of our our analysis here,
• 24:00
  we're going to have to engage with the literal versus
• 24:04
  symbolic interpretation of Revelation and hopefully we will emerge from
• 24:12
  this study having a greater understanding something very solid, if
• 24:17
  not crystal clear. So obviously we should start with the
• 24:24
  verses in the Book of Revelation or the Apocalypse of
• 24:28
  John in some Bibles that describe the mark of the beast.
• 24:34
  That's going to be Revelation chapter thirteen and a little
• 24:37
  bit in fourteen and Revelation nineteen. And then we have
• 24:46
  to look at what is the beast? And the beast
• 24:50
  goes back to Daniel and we'll have that whole discussion.
• 24:57
  Oh it's scary. So let's start off here with Revelation
• 25:07
  chapter thirteen, and I'm going to be reading from the
• 25:14
  King James for these scriptures. Revelation chapter thirteen, starting at
• 25:26
  the top with verse one, And I stood upon the
• 25:32
  sand of the sea. This is John talking, remember John,
• 25:38
  the author of Revelation. And I stood upon the sand
• 25:44
  of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out
• 25:47
  of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and
• 25:53
  upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads name
• 26:00
  of blasphemy. The name of blasphemy on the head, so
• 26:14
  on the individual heads of this beast from the sea
• 26:23
  is a name of blasphemy. So a name that is
• 26:28
  blasphemous to God. Well, what's blasphemous to God? Something that's
• 26:40
  in opposition to God? Right, something that renounces God or
• 26:45
  denies God. That's a key thing to understand as we
• 26:52
  tie this beast to the identity of the Antichrist, which
• 27:00
  the word Antichrist is not used in the Book of Revelation,
• 27:04
  but in the epistles of John is where we find
• 27:11
  the Antichrist. Well, I'm just going to keep reading, and
• 27:19
  the beast, which I saw, was like unto a leopard,
• 27:27
  and his feet were as the feet of a bear,
• 27:31
  and his mouth as the mouth of a lion. And
• 27:35
  the dragon gave him his power and his seat and
• 27:42
  great authority. And I saw one of his heads as
• 27:50
  it were wounded to death, and his deadly wound was healed.
• 27:56
  And all the world wondered after the beast, and they
• 28:02
  worshiped the dragon, which gave power unto the beast. And
• 28:09
  they worshiped the beast, saying, who is like unto the beast,
• 28:14
  who is able to make war with him? And there
• 28:20
  was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies,
• 28:27
  and power was given unto him to continue forty and
• 28:31
  two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God,
• 28:36
  to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and them that
• 28:41
  dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to
• 28:49
  make war with the saints and to overcome them. And
• 28:52
  power was given him over all kindreds and tongues and nations,
• 29:00
  and all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him,
• 29:03
  whose names are not written in the Book of Life
• 29:07
  of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
• 29:11
  If any man have an ear, let him hear. He
• 29:16
  that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity. He that
• 29:21
  killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword.
• 29:27
  Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
• 29:33
  And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth,
• 29:38
  and he had two horns like a lamb, and he
• 29:41
  spake as a dragon. And he exerciseeth all the power
• 29:47
  of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth
• 29:51
  and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast,
• 29:55
  whose deadly wound was healed. Okay, so this is double
• 30:01
  trouble here. It's a tag team we're talking about. And
• 30:08
  he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come
• 30:12
  down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
• 30:16
  and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the
• 30:20
  means of those miracles which he had power to do
• 30:23
  in the sight of the beast, saying to them that
• 30:26
  dwell on the earth, that they should make an image
• 30:29
  to the beast which had the wound by a sword
• 30:34
  and did live. Okay, is trump the Antichrist? Was He
• 30:41
  dealt a fatal wound by a sword, and then healed. No,
• 30:47
  he was nicked by a bullet in the ear, and
• 30:54
  he had power to give life unto the image of
• 30:56
  the beast. That the image of the beast should both
• 31:00
  speak and cause, that as many as would not worship
• 31:04
  the image of the beast should be killed. And he
• 31:08
  causeth all both small and great, rich and poor, free
• 31:12
  and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand
• 31:16
  or in their foreheads, and that no man might buy
• 31:21
  or sell save he that had the mark or the
• 31:26
  name of the beast, or the number of his name.
• 31:31
  Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the
• 31:36
  number of the beast, for it is the number of
• 31:39
  a man. And his number is six hundred, three score
• 31:46
  and six. Okay, that's Revelation thirteen. So we find a
• 31:57
  description of this beast also in Daniel seven in the
• 32:04
  Old Testament, and most biblical scholars agree that the fourth
• 32:10
  beast that Daniel describes is the beast that was diverse
• 32:17
  from all the others. It's a kingdom on the earth
• 32:24
  that is much more powerful, deadly, destructive, and far reaching
• 32:33
  in its power than the kingdoms that came before. So
• 32:42
  let's skip over to Daniel seven real quick, for a
• 32:46
  description of this fourth beast, from which we learn that
• 32:53
  the anti Christ figure arises. Now, remember, the beasts are kingdoms.

  This is Daniel seven to seven. After this, I saw
• 33:11
  in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful
• 33:17
  and terrible, and strong exceedingly, And it had great iron teeth.
• 33:24
  It devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue
• 33:30
  with the feet of it. And it was diverse from
• 33:33
  all the beasts that were before it, and it had
• 33:36
  ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold there came
• 33:42
  up among them another little horn, before whom there were
• 33:49
  three of the first horns, plucked up by the roots.
• 33:54
  And behold in this horn were eyes like the eyes
• 33:58
  of man, and mouth speaking great things, okay, great things
• 34:04
  as in boastful things, which you could also interpret as
• 34:12
  blasphemous things. All right, let's continue with Revelation chapter fourteen.

  And I looked, and lo, a lamb stood on the
• 34:28
  mount of Scion, and with him one hundred and forty
• 34:33
  and four thousand, having his father's name written in their foreheads.

  So who is the lamb Jesus? Okay? And this one
• 34:51
  hundred and forty four thousand have the name of the
• 34:55
  Father on their heads written in their foreheads, on their foreheads.

  And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice
• 35:09
  of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder.

  And I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps.
• 35:23
  That's like that line, like the pianists piano ing with
• 35:31
  their pianos. And they sung, as it were, a new
• 35:40
  song before the Throne and before the four beasts and
• 35:44
  the elders. And no man could learn that song. But
• 35:48
  one hundred and forty four thousand, which were redeemed from
• 35:53
  the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women,
• 35:58
  for they are virgins. These are they which follow the
• 36:04
  Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men,
• 36:12
  being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb.

  And in their mouth was found no guile, for they
• 36:21
  are without fault before the throne of God. It's not
• 36:25
  one hundred and forty four thousand Jehovah's witnesses pretty sure.

  And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven,

  having the Everlasting Gospel to preach unto them that dwell

  on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred and tongue,

  and people, saying with a loud voice, fear God and

  give glory to Him, for the hour of his judgment

  is come. And worship him that made heaven and earth,

  and the sea and the fountains of waters. And there

  followed another angel, saying, Babylon has fallen, is fallen that

  great city because she made all nations. Drink of the

  wine of the wrath of her fornication. And the third

  angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any

  man worshiped the Beast and his image and receiveth his
• 37:33
  mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same
• 37:38
  shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God,

  which has poured out without mixture, into the cup of
• 37:46
  his indignation. And he shall be tormented with fire and
• 37:51
  brimstone in the presence of the Holy angels, and in
• 37:55
  the presence of the Lamb, and the smoke of their
• 37:59
  tor ascendeth up forever and ever, and they have no
• 38:04
  rest day nor night. Who worshiped the Beast and his image,
• 38:09
  and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name, Here is
• 38:14
  the patience of the saints. Here are they that keep
• 38:19
  the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Okay, okay,

  let's skip ahead a little bit to Revelation nineteen, and
• 38:37
  I'm gonna pick up here with verse twenty. And the
• 38:42
  beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that
• 38:48
  wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived. Them that
• 38:52
  had received the mark of the Beast, and them that
• 38:55
  worshiped his image. These both were cast alive into the
• 39:00
  lake of fire, burning with brimstone, and the remnant were
• 39:06
  slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse,
• 39:11
  which sword proceeded out of his mouth, and all the
• 39:14
  fowls were filled with their flesh. Okay, skipping ahead again,
• 39:23
