[upbeat rock music] Hey, everybody. Full Spectrum Cycling, show number
• 0:17
  153. Yeah. Uh, off to a little hectic start today. [laughs] I don't know if we got everything right. We had, like, two minutes to get this going, and we're- [laughs]... six minutes late, so whatever.
• 0:28
I guess that's how it works sometimes in radio land. Right. Like, we're not technically on a timeline, but- We like to be- We like to be-... professional... punctual, as it were. Oh, boy. Hey, I don't know.
• 0:42
Wea- we start with the weather every week, don't we? Kinda, 'cause lately it's- 'Cause it's February... it's freaking horrible. Wednesday, Tuesday and Wednesday were just literally nightmares.
• 0:52
So yeah, so Tuesday should've been awesome. Tuesday, 22. Tuesday, 22, 22. There was many things to be done. And nothing could be done.
• 0:59
Yeah, well, my, the one thing I didn't get done was going to the Third Space Double Dip- Right... release party because we had ice all over the dang old place. My buildings lost power at work. Oh, really?
• 1:12
Transformer done blowed up. That blowed up real good. Was it a squirrel, squirrel in there? I'm not certain. Or maybe some, maybe some ice [laughs] in there. It took out the whole building for a good 40 minutes. Wow.
• 1:21
Do they have, uh, diesel generators or battery backup, so- We have both. Um, but, uh, yeah, it still...
• 1:28
Uh, you take down a lot of the equipment that gets you to the servers you need to access, not on site to do medical information on. Oh, okay. So, yeah.
• 1:38
Oh, yeah, 'cause I, uh, power went out twice at Kim's work, and they just called it. Yeah, they do. They called it. Like, literally- I'm surprised they didn't call it at our place either. They should have. Well, they...
• 1:48
Yeah, I mean, the schools were out- I, I-... for- Yeah. I should have... for ice. It was a happy ice day. I should have. I mean, I had the built-in infrastructure to- Ah... work from home, but I was... I had- We-...
• 1:59
crap I needed to get done on campus- We blew a fuse-... so I did it. Er...
• 2:02
and I'm really happy that I revived my UPS because we blew a fuse, and the internet didn't go down, my laptop didn't go down, and the call I was on with a customer didn't go down. Nice. So I'm like, okay.
• 2:14
Then all I had to do is when I was done with the call, I went in and flipped the breaker. Everything else turned back on. My three external monitors turned back on. I'm like, "I'm right back in it, baby." Yeah.
• 2:22
So this is the IT minute. Well, we're gonna get to the cryp- I guess. [laughs] We'll get to the crypto minute later. The crypto minute too. That's later in the show. Yeah. But, uh, yeah- Yeah...
• 2:29
IT minute with, uh- Weather, weather and IT... Mr. Tony Berger. Yeah. Speaking of IT- Yeah... where the fuck is Andrew? [sighs] I sent him a message. I didn't send him a message today. I apologize. Oh, well.
• 2:39
He's, want- he's- He's, he's- So after his dry January, he's ready to- Ready to let her rip... let her rip a little bit. He made it through January? That's good for him. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a good man.
• 2:47
That's, uh, uh, pretty popular with folks, right? Yeah, I guess. I don't know. You know what? I would... I don't know. If I was gonna- I don't know... if I was gonna do a dry month, I'd do dry February- Yes...
• 2:54
'cause that's the shortest month. [laughs] Exactly. That's what we used to do. [laughs] Yeah, that's where other, uh, consumables- And it doesn't-... went into your system- I mean-...
• 3:01
and including, okay, so I'm not getting my sugars. Oh, compensating with Skittles. [laughs] Lots and lots and lots of Skittles. Yeah. I- Yeah... I could see that. It's like the first thing- Skittles...
• 3:10
it's like the first thing to- Plus, if you go January, that means New Year's Day you're not drinking, and that means I can't have my ride with you guys. Or you start on the 2nd.
• 3:17
[laughs] Well, or you could just not drink on the ride. [laughs] Or just- What? Or you just start on the 2nd. What, what kind of crazy talk is that? Yeah. [laughs] Or you start on the 2nd. It's a day.
• 3:24
What, am I gonna show up at the Nomad and not have a Pabst? Sure, it's doable. I don't know. Maybe you are. I can't even. Tattoo nonsense.
• 3:31
So yeah, my buddy does all the way through the start of March Madness, which this year is St. Patrick's Day, so that's a, that's a pretty good long run. Yeah, it is. Oh, yeah.
• 3:39
That could be- Which maybe- Saves a ton of money... maybe a little cheating in there now, you know. I don't know. It could be. That could be a new one. A little shot here and there of, of whiskey.
• 3:45
Well, if you're, if you're gonna be that, you know, couple months into it, and then, you know, that big St. Patrick's Day slam is gonna be- You're gonna be hurting. Yeah, probably. [laughs] Your tolerance will be down.
• 3:56
Or it could, yeah, it could be- Right... a real high-speed burn. [laughs] "Hey, here go Brock." [gags] All right, I'm out. [laughs] I'm out of here. [laughs] Well, there, it's so... Yeah, there's a lot.
• 4:04
March is gonna be packed full of stuff. There's, you know, there's... Well- Weather- 31 days... weather that's manageable? Yeah. Well, but just- Maybe...
• 4:12
just for events around town that are gonna get people completely blotto.
• 4:15
Marquette Day is the end of February, then March 5th is the Shamrock Shuffle, then we got the parade for the Irish folk, and then we got- They stretched it-... Justin Timberlake's birthday on the 17th.
• 4:27
Are we gonna do McBob's? I'm kinda tired of McBob's. Uh, I don't know. Uh, not a lot of people like McBob's for some reasons. I've been enjoying, even though it's a little pricier, the, um, the place on Water there.
• 4:38
Is it Red Lion? Don't know. It's the sister one to the Shorewood location- Oh, yeah... which is Two Lions or- Three... Three Lions? Oh, you're talking about the, the [laughs] east- The Scott...
• 4:49
the east side of Water Street. [laughs] Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, sorry. Yeah. Which is really, like, Cane or something, but that has- It turns into Cane a block later. Um, so it's up to Dr. Lunz- Yeah, pro Lunz...
• 4:57
a PhD professor, Prof. Lunz, to set up, uh, Justin Timberlake's birthday, or the annual use of a picture for a ride day or- Yeah, right... or is that- [laughs] The Ramsey pirouette. Yeah, yeah, so I don't know.
• 5:09
Were you there for that? You were a boost then. Oh, lordy, yes. Yeah. Yeah, that was- [laughs] Yeah, that's, I... Even this many years later- I-... 'cause it's gotta be a dozen or something.
• 5:16
It's- It was like slow motion. Mm-hmm. It was- That was more than a dozen now, hey. It's, it, it was... That was- It's the same day that dude just fell straight backwards onto the concrete, and we all just winced. Yeah.
• 5:26
Some dude we- Did you s- did you see, uh, Lunz's recreation of that day with Lego pieces of the pirouette? No. I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He, he ma- he remade that, that
• 5:36
seminal day in the history of- [laughs]... bike riding in Milwaukee out of Lego pieces. That is eerily like the, uh, Guitar Smasher logo. Yes, and in fact, I- When you, when you have it in silhouette...
• 5:48
I, I had asked, uh, our good buddy Chris Daisy to do a, a, a likeness of the Guitar Smasher logo with that exact... 'Cause I have that picture. [laughs] I was there.
• 5:58
I'm like, "Doesn't, it looks exactly like Guitar Smasher- It kinda does now that you mention it... with a parking meter instead of a guitar." Yeah. [laughs] And someone's ass high up in the air. Yeah.
• 6:07
That's, uh, it would've been good No, I remember locking my bike up next to his bike and sh. Yeah. Then you learn to not do that. Yeah.
• 6:16
'Cause then all of a sudden your bike ends up doing a, somehow, that, a pirouette that you didn't notice, and it's- Right... damn on the ground, and it's like, "Son, what are you doing?"
• 6:23
[laughs] I think I met him and Lloyd the same day. Well, that's a- Lloyd... that's a lot of concentrations. TNT. Lloyd.
• 6:31
Well, R- Ramsey grew up across the street from my house, and Lloyd I've known since we were youths, so been around those guys for a long time. Right. And he just recently got celebrated for, uh, what? Who he, Lloyd?
• 6:43
Yeah, yeah. Certainly not Ramsey. No. No, no, no, no. [laughs] Oh, man. Uh, if you give me one- You remembered the laptop, right? It's downstairs. So we're all, we can go Bafang. Bafang.
• 6:55
You know, those electric bikes are just, they're, they're great. The Bafang system is super easy to get put on there. It's some of the ancillary stuff like when you wanna use a rack for a battery on the back of it.
• 7:05
That- Why, well, first of all- You need a real rack... supply chain issues again. You need a real rack. Well, I couldn't get a real rack, so we got what you could get, and it's not good enough. Uh-huh.
• 7:14
It's like, well, we're just gonna be down and, you know, till we can get a real decent Planet Bike rack or some such. Right. Something that's well-made. Milwaukee Water Commons celebrating Lloyd Seawright. Oh, nice.
• 7:25
Very nice. Oh, hello, Lloyd. There. Ba-bum, ba-bum. TNT. Lloyd. Lloyd. Lloyd. Lloyd. Lloyd. Yeah, I- Actually, that was playing on the way back from Madison.
• 7:34
[laughs] That was, that was part of the AC/DC power block, and I was just sitting in the car, and it was like, "TNT, Lloyd." [laughs] Nice. Like, "What are you saying?" I'm like, "Ah, it's part of the song now."
• 7:46
[laughs] It's tradition. So, uh- Tradition... so a couple, a couple Spinner, Spinner notes here 'cause Spinner's in the news today. Ah. SingleSpeed USA stage race, Decorah, Iowa, August 22nd, 2022.
• 7:59
Did a little bit of, uh, if you wanna listen to the last, uh, Chewy's Salon Chair number 15, you'll hear some, uh, details on what might be happening there- Yes... but they're sort of in the planning stages.
• 8:12
I'll tell you this, if you're in the Midwest, if you're in the Mideast, if you're in the, if even if you're in Russia, you should probably come to this, 'cause Decorah kicks ass on riding. And more twos. 2/22 or 22.
• 8:25
Eight, two, two. Of 2022. Oh, yeah. That's the 22nd of the 22. On 22s. Day before my work day. Oh. Which day is that, Saturday? I believe it's a Saturday, yes. It'll be, make sense. Saturday, Saturdays.
• 8:35
Um, so instead of... They're, they're gonna do a stage race, which there's three different trails they're gonna use there in, in Decorah, and there's around 450 feet of elevation from the bottom to the top of the hill.
• 8:47
So on a typical time trial course, which they would normally do in May or whenever it is, there's around 4,500 feet of climbing in- Phew... around 10 or 12 miles. [laughs] Whoa.
• 8:59
You're going like, "Yeah," and you're going, "Meh," and you're going, "Meh," and then you're going, "Mah." And you're going... [pants] Ah. [laughs] Yeah.
• 9:06
I don't even like to ride there anymore, [laughs] especially since I haven't been riding for, like, almost two months now 'cause of the knee issue. Mm-hmm. I'm starting to feel like I'm losing muscle mass. Uh-oh.
• 9:17
Yes, and, and, uh, so also on the Spinner- You know, it's next man's to pick... on the Spinner train, uh, the Fat Bike Birkie is coming up in a couple of weeks from tomorrow or- Well-... somewhere in there...
• 9:28
tomorrow when the Birkie starts, you mean? The regular- The Birkie is tomorrow. The Fat Bike Birkie is the two weeks from- Yeah, two weeks from tomorrow... then. So the March 12th is the Fat Bike Birkie.
• 9:36
And we're gonna stay at Sealy Dave's, uh, posh Airbnb palace, and Spinner was looking for a place to stay, and I said, "Well, well, why don't you stay at the posh Sealy Dave's Airbnb palace?" And he's like, "All right.
• 9:49
All right." [laughs] So it, it, hopefully, well, I don't know, it's gonna be Greggers, Lunz, Spinner, and I in- What about Viv? Well, I don't know what mammals can come up there. There's other mammals there, though.
• 10:01
I'm sure mammals can come. Yeah, come on. I don't know. Spin can travel to that distance without his two doggies. He's got two doggies. He's got two- He's gotta come from Decorah now, though, not Madison anymore, so....
• 10:12
mountain curs. He's got a couple of mountain curs. Yeah, yeah, doggies. They're real good doggies. So yeah, so we'll have Spinner up there.
• 10:17
I, I imagine he's actually entered in the race, of which I will be photographing and not torturing myself on. [laughs] It'll walk in the park for him.
• 10:26
You know, uh, if, I'm sure people that have been on fatbike.com or Full Spectrum at some point in the past have seen Spinner in his Viking regalia, and he- Yeah, he'll be wearing that...
• 10:36
he wears shorts and, uh, sleeveless shirts to race in whatever weather it is. [laughs] Got some animals. Whether it's, it's been... Oh, I was just checking weather. It's like- Oh, the weather outside is what it...
• 10:45
you know, it's, it's always, it's re- it's cold in the morning, like below zero, like 12- Yeah... 6, 8. But in the daytime it's still getting up into the 20s, which is- Yeah, which is good riding weather...
• 10:53
if that, and if that holds- We'll buy you clothes on, Spinner. Yeah. [laughs] If that holds through the Fat Bike Birkie weekend, then the conditions are gonna be stellar. Mm-hmm.
• 11:03
I think, uh, possibly next week we maybe talk to Sealy Dave about the conditions. Conditions are perfect. He, uh- Shit's nice...
• 11:15
sent me a, sent me an email or text or something and wanted pictures of when Ned Overend won the Fat Bike Birkie at one point in his illustrious and very long career, which I think was 2014 that he actually won.
• 11:32
And then 2015, the Alaska guys came down and they stomped the shit out of him. [laughs] He was in, like, third or fourth or something.
• 11:40
I mean, he was still, you know, and he's, I think all three of the guys from Alaska maybe added up to Ned Overend's age. Oh, really? [laughs] That's awesome. [laughs] They were young. Yeah, very young guys.
• 11:52
But it was awesome to see Nedley up there. That was when, uh, that was when Specialized, you know, I don't know if he's still a Specialized ambassador or whatever.
• 11:59
Sorry, Ned, but that's when they jumped onto the fat bike train, and then- Specialized... they, they jumped back off of it again- Mm... and now they don't even make fat bikes anymore, I don't think. Don't.
• 12:09
I don't think they do. No. What the hell? That's kinda lame. Johnny Come Lately, and then Get Out Early. Thank you very much. Well, maybe they will now they're direct, you know- Direct to consumer Right. Yeah.
• 12:19
Oh, yeah, direct to consumer. They can sell at 30% less and still make the same money. Mm-hmm. Or whatever. Keep the bike shop margin out of there. Right. Fuckers.
• 12:28
Uh, fat bike-wise though, I talked to our Huber Peeber rep, Surly. They're gonna... Uh, so in, during the pandemic, they kind of, I'm not gonna say shafted the little guy, but that's kinda what they did.
• 12:42
They fucking shafted fucking- They, they took all of their allocations from what they could get and gave it to their better dealers, and the ones that sell more of their bikes, which I was like, "Well, I could...
• 12:53
Yeah, kinda reward them a little bit," but on the other hand, if you wanna build up another market and you're not gonna give a guy any bikes, you're not gonna have a presence there.
• 13:02
So apparently they're able to peel off a few this year, and we're gonna have a very small allocation of Wednesdays. Wednesdays. And, uh, ice cream trucks. And even that new Ghost Grappler. That thing's kinda crazy.
• 13:15
I know. I think we might get a couple of those in. So it's, you know, we're, we're trying to, we're trying to get this, we're trying to- Drop our bikes...
• 13:21
we're trying to get this two-wheeled thing back up vertical and not laying on its side, you know? Right, right. Being the everyday cycles thing and all that and whatnot. Mm-hmm. Whatever, whatever. Ugh.
• 13:31
Are you owning an Ape by the end of the day? Well, you know, I was, I was thinking I was gonna come in here and just make this like, "Hey, Greg, tell you what, I'll, I'll give you 500 Cardano right now."
• 13:44
Not at 94 cents, buddy. [laughs] But it could be three bucks by the end of the year. Well, I can send you an address. All right. Oh, wait. I guess we're on Crypto Minute now. [laughs] Yeah, we're on Crypto Minute now.
• 13:55
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do. Um, yeah, I, uh... That could be, that could be 1,500 at some point. That could be way more than that at some point. Well, at some point. Think about it.
• 14:03
Oh, we'll th- think about that. Mm. Maybe. Maybe. Yeah. Maybe. Maybe. I transferred all my, uh, Cardano into the Yori wallet. Yes, so you can start staking, my man. I staked the shit out of it already.
• 14:14
I've been staking for a very long time. I also restaked my student coin because why not? It's n- Right. Did you see they redid their website? I did. Did you go on it? Yes, I did. Isn't it nice? It's okay.
• 14:24
[laughs] I don't know. I still don't think I've gotten all my airdrops from the previous staking things though, so gotta kinda keep up with those guys.
• 14:30
And while we're on the Crypto Minute, where the fuck are our Bitminer [laughs] units? Yeah, yeah. The, did you check lately? I check, like, every other [laughs] day. And what does it say now? It goes- Order accepted.
• 14:39
Yeah. Thank you very much, and we'll be with you in six to eight months. You know, and then they, they send you ridiculous emails like, "Quarter million shipped," I'm like, "Well, then how come I don't have mine?" Right.
• 14:50
It's like, it's like, it's, it's Chinese New Year, therefore we're not making production. Oh, look, quarter million shipped. But you still don't have yours. Yeah. That should be part of the email.
• 14:59
Sort of seems like a nanner, nanner, nanner kind of moment. Right, right. I'm like, "I just want my miners, man.
• 15:04
I got-" I just was thinking about how high up in the building we are, and I can just, uh, punch right up through there and get my antenna. Well, if you're in two up there. [laughs] Yeah, damn right.
• 15:10
And we have, like, a 120-foot chimney on this building, so I could just stick it right on top of that thing. Ooh, yeah. Might be pretty darn well worth it. I gotta get one of those guy...
• 15:19
You ever s- you ever drive along the freeway and you see all the high tension lines for the, uh, electric power, and there's some guy hanging out of a helicopter and he's working on the power lines?
• 15:27
Hanging out of a helicopter. No. 50,000 volts or whatever those things have. No. Hanging out of a helicopter. No. Plus the sta- like, the, what it's generating from the whirlywhir. Yeah, the wind stuff and- Yeah, yeah.
• 15:36
No. Little static electricity from the- No. Oh, no. You know, so I- Oh, no... so I thought that would've been a really cool job. I'm like, "Oh, that would be really cool." [laughs] So I looked at how much they make.
• 15:45
It is not as much as you would think. It's not like underwater welding for an offshore rig, which is like- Oh, good money. Yeah. Yeah. It's, like, 60 bucks an hour to hang out of a helicopter and- Oh, no. [laughs]...
• 15:56
you're not grounded, so you can touch it like a bird kinda. You add a zero onto that, maybe. Right. [laughs] You know? I don't know. Just like, "Yeah. What do you do for a living?" "Well, I hang out of a helicopter."
• 16:04
[laughs] And I work on power lines. It's better than bungee jumping off a bridge with a, uh, bungee that's just a little too long. I have a buddy from high school that he works on those, uh, windmills. Turbines.
• 16:18
Turbines, whatever the hell. Wind turbines. Oh, my... And man, some of the selfies the dude throws up are- Oh, yeah... I j- I think that would be a good gig. Yeah... I mean, I get vertigo looking at it.
• 16:26
I'm like, "Oh, Lord." I would, it'd be, it'd be... Um, I have a friend who for her 40th birthday decided to illegally bungee jump, and she bungee jumped and screamed so hard that she, uh, foiled her arms.
• 16:41
And when the bungee retracted, she hit herself in her face and knocked herself unconscious. [laughs] And then they dropped her down, and that's when the sire- siren started.
• 16:50
But they dropped her down, and she got dropped on right in the middle of a poison ivy patch. [laughs] Oh, boy. Damn. Her son's waking her up going, "We gotta run. We gotta run."
• 16:58
[laughs] Well, I'm thinking of, like, the Royal Gorge Bridge or something where there's, like, water underneath. Mm.
• 17:02
And they have the supposedly timed just well enough so you actually go by your feet and dip your head in the water. Yeah, that'd be pretty scary. Yeah, I don't... What if it's, what if it's off? Yeah. Right.
• 17:10
I mean, if it's too short, you're fine. You're fine. If it's too long- But if it's too, you're slapping that hard... you're, you're not doing [laughs] that well... with your head. Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
• 17:19
I, and there's the one above, uh, the Colorado River in Vegas that when they went around the, uh, Hoover Dam, they made this, I don't know how high it is, 900 feet or something. Oof.
• 17:29
I don't know if anybody bungees off that thing, but I'm pretty sure people have jumped off it without a rope. Or just to take care of business. [laughs] Just to, "Well, I, Vegas really sucked today.
• 17:37
I think I'm just gonna jump off this bridge." I think Mickey and Mallory Knox did their wedding vows with the cutting the blood and now we live in all the oceans. Oh, what is that? Check that. What is that?
• 17:49
Tony's got a fancy coin here. It's a, uh- Oh, it's not that fancy. It's just- It's a Morgan silver dollar, I believe. Is it not? It is a Morgan silver dollar. It is a Morgan silver dollar from 1882. Hey, hey.
• 17:59
It's very warm. Tony's been caressing this thing. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's not in bad shape. It's, uh, it's still got some relief to it. That's nice. That's nice. It's not, not too bad. It's, uh...
• 18:10
Is that a, is that a troy ounce, do you think? I believe it is. Yes, yes. I don't know what silver's worth these days. Mm-hmm. Take a picture of that thing. It's nice. It's not worth that much m- I mean, it's...
• 18:18
I, I looked up the value of it as a coin, and it's only, like- 25 bucks. Yeah. Like- Yeah, well, you know, if it were mint or something it'd be- Think if you would've bought a dollars worth of Walgreens stock back then.
• 18:32
[laughs] At, at literally like three cents a share. In 1892. Yeah, in 1892. I mean, think about it, you would've got yourself, you know, 10, 15 shares. Be hanging out with Kate Walgreens right now, drinking on her patio.
• 18:44
Yeah. Maybe, you know, maybe you'd have a nice savings. But yeah, I just thought it was a cool coin. I'm going through my mom's collection and this one just jumped out at me.
• 18:51
I'm like, "Oh, it's in really decent enough shape to..." So I looked it up and it wasn't worth anything that much. I'm like, "I'll just keep it in my pocket." Yeah. Well, it's, now you got two coins, right?
• 19:00
Or do, or do you? I do. [laughs] Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. There it is. There it is, folks. Hey, we made it. There it is. Oh, for crying out loud. We must be at the core or something. Oh. Jesus Christ.
• 19:12
I think, uh, JK's gotta go over by the, uh, the cooler over there. There's some riffraff outside the door here. We're almost ready to put this door on this thing. We got the paint, we got the paint.
• 19:23
It w- I was gonna paint the north or the west, whatever that wa- east wall, but it was 48 degrees in here this morning, so. Yeah, that's not good for painting. No, I can't paint in 48 degrees.
• 19:31
The Rust-Oleum dry erase is not a six-pack. Oh, it's not? [laughs] Is it in the six- I happened to look and I'm like, "Wow, that's a, that's an interesting looking six." Is it in the cooler? No, it's not. Is it in there?
• 19:41
No, it's right next to it. All right. [laughs] I, I don't think that's... I, I think it's, uh, white.
• 19:46
It's like dry erase, not chalkboard, 'cause I was thinking it was chalkboard 'cause I want black to, you know- Yeah, yeah... chalkboard black painted on the wall, but no, it happens to be whiteboard. I like the black...
• 19:55
Have you done the black magnetic paint? Negatory. Yeah, it's pretty cool. We did it in a while at, at the house for the kids and- So you can just put magnets on it? Yeah, you can just...
• 20:04
It's magnetic, so yeah, you can just- Like your Scooby-Doos... like magnets. Oh, of course Scooby-Doos. What do you call the, uh, well, something forms. What do they call those things in the old days?
• 20:13
I think they were static cling. I don't think they were- Color Forms. Color Forms. Color Forms. Yeah, no, those are the ones you put in the oven and... Oh, yeah. Those are different. Oh, no, no, no. Shrinky Dinks.
• 20:19
Those are different. Those are Shrinky Dinks. Those ones you had the, yeah, the static. Yeah, and they were all like primary shapes. Yeah. Like circle- They're pretty cool... square, triangle.
• 20:25
Spent a lot of time with those bad boys, I'm not gonna lie. I think that was the logo, actually. Yep. Square, circle, triangle. Maybe we should have a- So like a little guy with a hat...
• 20:31
we should have a toy minute too, 'cause I was just thinking about all my- Oh, man. Cool old toys... uh, I, I belong to this, at least I get emails from a wheel collectors or something, where I got my Spy vs.
• 20:41
Spy- Yeah, cool. I saw those again. Yeah, yeah... Hot Wheels cars. Well, they just came out with a Ninja Turtles, uh, s- set of five and I thought, "Oh, I got a lot of Ninja Turtle stuff."
• 20:53
[laughs] Probably ought to get more Ninja Turtle stuff. [laughs] You do? I did not know that. Oh, I got tons of comic books in the old school. I got the Blimp.
• 21:00
I got all the good stuff from- Speaking, speaking of- From all those guys... you know, speaking of limited edition- Splinter... and such- Uh, Master Splinter... uh, is it this Friday that we can reveal the State bike
• 21:12
collab, or- Is it the 26th coming up on today? Yeah. Okay, so it's today- 23rd... that we can- 24th. Maybe it's, it's either... It might be Saturday. I don't know. Okay. Okay. Damn it. Dave says he already wants one.
• 21:26
[laughs] Pr- Prof Dave? Prof Dave wants one. Yeah. I... So, okay, so they have- Why? So he can paint it fucking green? No, 'cause he's a... I don't know. All right. So you can get the clunker. Yeah.
• 21:37
Or you can get the single speed. Mm-hmm. Or you can get the, I think it's basically a semi-gravel bike sort of thing. Chromoly, mm, drop bar-ish, blah, blah, blah.
• 21:49
I'm thinking of the single speed, just 'cause I don't really need another clunker since I already have two. Wait. Are, these are all coming out as a special... I haven't, I didn't look at the stuff last week. Oh.
• 21:58
Well, I was- Okay. Well, uh-... showing it around. We can look. I guess I'll look at it. Shoot Yeah. And they, and they also have a bunch of stuff like seats and saddle ba- or handlebar bags and- Oh. Oh, okay...
• 22:07
other accessories that are also- Oh... that makes it way more attractive. Oh, yeah.
• 22:11
Well, Dave, so Dave gave me a State Bicycles Ozzy Osbourne handlebar bag for a Christmas present, 'cause it was- [laughs] He'd get it at the two for one deal. Right.
• 22:20
And was like, "I didn't pay any extra for this, but here's your present." Nice. [laughs] Yeah. It's cool. It's purple. It's Ozzy. Mm-hmm. Can't really complain about Ozzy and purple too much. No.
• 22:32
So, uh, at the top of the hill here, we might as well talk about our beer. Oh, I forgot about that. It is Bell's Official Hazy IPA. It's official. It is official and- Even though I've never heard of it before.
• 22:41
[laughs] Well, and I mean, I've had a lot of Bell's beers over the years. Yeah. And I've never been disappointed. Not, not that I'm not an Oberon fan in the summer a little bit, but- Exactly...
• 22:49
uh, but I did not know they had an official hazy, 'cause they have lots of other IPAs. Yeah. Yeah. But this is apparently the official one. I, uh, yeah, I don't know.
• 22:58
It's, it's- I was wandering the, I was wandering the halls of- It may-... the Fair Groceria, and then all of a sudden I went, "Oh. Oh." Well, yes. "I know we haven't, I know we haven't had it, and I know I like Bell's."
• 23:08
This, this may sound as an insult. It will. But it's not. [laughs] It's nearly as good as Two Hearted. Huh. Okay. This has more wheat- It just-... I think, than Two Hearted does. Bell's Two Hearted is, quite frankly, the
• 23:24
IPA that everything else is judged by in my l- in my book. Oh, nice. Yeah, this one is, uh, t- This is great... this one has hops and a delicious wheat malt. Mm.
• 23:34
It is, it is double dry hopped, a combination of Mosaic Citra, Azacca Amarillo and El Dorado hops. That's a lot of freaking hops in there. Mm-hmm. That said, it is not very hoppy- Mm-hmm... if you ask me. Mm.
• 23:48
And I don't know if Bell- Bell's does this for other beers, but they give you an awful lot of information. ABV 6.4. Shelf life, six months. Mm. Tasting notes, dry grapefruit, orange, peach. I don't know about the peach.
• 24:01
Well, they're getting close to apricots, even in the descri- Apri- It's a stone. It has, it has- This doesn't... it results in a complex peach stone fruit. Is not an apricot a stone fruit? No, I don't think so. Okay.
• 24:12
Stone fruit. It all comes back to apricots and Triumph The Insult Comic Dog. So here's something we don't normally get on a beer, because I'm always afraid to look at this number.
• 24:22
Calories, only 187 in your, uh, official Hazy IPA. Fucker calories. And carbs, 12.4. Oh, carbs.
• 24:29
So for your pre-diabetic and/or type 2 folk Uh, you can have, you know, several of these and not really tweak your, your day's worth of- Yeah, it's not-... uh, sugar, sugar intake. It's not, like, a, it's not heavy. No.
• 24:41
It's not like the- Oh, no. Oh, no. It's not, and that, and I no want this to make it sound bad, but, like, uh, Lakefront's Hazy Rabbit, that seems a little heavy. Uh, I can't drink Hazy Rabbit anymore.
• 24:53
Like, after one or- There's, there's something in it or something that does not agree with me the next day and- There's something in the heaviness. Uh- Yeah, I'm not drinking it. No, it's good. Taste it. Taste it.
• 25:01
I can handle one. Maybe, maybe two. I'll do a Lakefront and s- just their regular IPA instead of the Hazy Rabbit. But yeah- I-... I could knock- Yeah... a couple more of these down. Yeah, for sure.
• 25:13
Alas, we don't have any more. [laughs] Oh, I s- oh, somebody... That was, who threw, who threw the annual Bike Bazaar on? I put the bazaar bazaar in there. So the, uh- Bar...
• 25:23
so the Riverside High School, which is right down the street from us here, annual Bike Bazaar is a, a swap meet. Uh, what do you call it? Is that what you call it? Mm-hmm.
• 25:32
It's sort of a buy stuff, sell stuff- It used to be a, a Bike Fed thing. I'm not sure if it is anymore. No, it's- No. N-... uh, Milwaukee MKE Rec. Okay. Yeah, but now they're supporting the NICA team at Riverside.
• 25:42
Oh, cool. Which is Teresa's do- Teresa's doing. She's one of the coaches. Mm. And they've got quite a few kids on that team, and, uh, uh, that's, this, so the proceeds from this thing are going to support that thing.
• 25:59
Cool. Yeah. I like. I think, you know, for, I think it's five bucks. You can put your bike in the bike corral, and for another five bucks somebody'll sit there and hawk your wares for you [laughs].
• 26:09
I'm like, "Why would I stand around for five hours?" [laughs] All right. Well, that's, you know. I don't know. Maybe we should take those two state clunkers down there that we still have. I mean, 420, baby.
• 26:19
I could order a, I can order a fender mount for my stupid, beautiful, wonderful Bianchi Raul Castro alley bike. Maybe you'll find it at the bike bazaar. Bazaar.
• 26:33
I just wanna s- I wanna sell, like, such a- You'll only find bazaar things at the bazaar... beautiful bike, and I just have too many fucking bikes [laughs].
• 26:40
You want- I want someone to ride it and get to listen- Oh, now, now who's blaspheming? N plus three. Oh, I do. Too many bikes. They're just crazy. That's- You just don't have enough room.
• 26:49
You know what you need to do, sir? [laughs] You need, you know what you need to do? You need to open a bike shop. Oh. Or invest- I enjoy marriage... or, or invest in a bike shop. I enjoy marriage. [laughs] No.
• 27:02
If I'm investing in anything right now, we're going back to the crypto minute [laughs]. Oh. 'Cause- Yeah... I am... Yeah. I, I just don't have any spare cash right now to throw at this.
• 27:12
Well, the, the- Oh, you got some spare cash. I've... Yes. Yes, I do. I could sell my car because it's worth- I'm also doing that... way more money. I'm also doing that. Yes, it is.
• 27:24
Sell your house, sell your car, sell your kids, invest in crypto. [laughs] Well, oddly enough, I will be selling a house- And a kid... soon. And- Which kid are you gonna get rid of? I'm not gonna get rid of the kids.
• 27:33
They're still- Well, one of them's gonna leave anyway, so... young enough. Eventually. Hopefully. [laughs] That's like saving money when she goes.
• 27:39
I got a, I got kinda the ultimate compliment about that when I was back picking out, packing up my mom's stuff, and my nephew commented that he's gonna sell the house my mom lived in because he has to, quote-unquote, "Put his girls through college."
• 27:53
And I just looked at him like, "I'm not paying for my daughter to go to college."
• 27:57
And he's like, "Yeah, that's 'cause your daughter's already in, like, six AP courses and is gonna pay for her freaking self with a free ride." And I kinda thought about it. I'm like, "I think you might be right there."
• 28:08
[laughs] It never even dawned on me that, you know- Yeah, or maybe not... she's, she's- You never know... you know, man, she, she's got two AP courses for this summer. Summer school. Chemistry- Ugh...
• 28:20
and s- I'm like, "Are you kidding me?" Yeah. For summer? Sydney did that too. We got Sydney through with minimal pain on our side, and I wanted her, and I think this is good advice for you too,
• 28:31
even if she gets a full ride, I'd still take a student loan out just to get her- Oh... on the, this is how the world works now is that you need to get your credit up. Oh. You need to do this. You need to do that.
• 28:45
It's funny you should say that. Unless you're dead. It's funny you should say that, Greg. Greg, it's funny you should say that. Uh, yeah. Sorry.
• 28:50
It's funny you should say that because I suggested something along that lines, and my daughter said, "I ain't going to college." [laughs] She's like, "Well, I'm gonna, I'm gonna be an electrician." Well, there you go.
• 29:01
And I'm like, "Oh, hot damn, yes you- Yeah... will do so much better- Right. Yeah... as an electrician." [laughs] Exactly. I mean- I'm like, "Do it"...
• 29:08
yeah, don't go to college if you're gonna get into the trades, like, 'cause- You know?... they can't find people that are qualified, that are smart and- And female... and female. Yeah. So- Yeah... you know.
• 29:20
You know what they say, plumbers come home Fridays smelling like shit, electricians come home smelling like money.
• 29:25
Well, my buddy Frank works on the super high power stuff in factories and whatnot, and he only died once so far. [laughs] They revived him? Yeah, they revived him. He got blasted at, uh, I think it was at, uh- Fort...
• 29:37
Miller. And it was a software switch that failed, and he got zapped. Shot. Oh, yeah. Oh, oh yeah. Yeah. So, uh- That'll be bad...
• 29:44
hey, Frank, if you're listening, which you probably don't 'cause you're like, "Oh, I'm gonna listen to your show tonight," and then you never do, but if you do, then, you know, high five and I'll buy you a drink at the old, uh, pub there.
• 29:53
Thank you very much. Right. Right. Come again. And if you don't listen, then I'll just smile and nod at you at said pub. Right. [laughs] Right.
• 30:02
[laughs] Yeah, he, he told me the other day, he's like, "I think we've really bonded." I'm like, "Ooh, I have a new man crush, buddy." [laughs] Uh, here's something that I- Why do birds suddenly appear?...
• 30:12
here's something that I did not want to miss out on, thank you for the background vocals- Everywhere?...
• 30:18
uh, is that, uh, All Hail the Black Market, our Steve-Kanievil buddy has the Worship Satan, Respect Women shirt, if you remember that one. It's back.
• 30:27
It's back, and it's on a pre-order through March 17th, and he has hoodies and T-shirts, which- Oh... it is a class- Classic... it's a classic. It's in the show notes. Awesome. Yeah. It says-
• 30:38
Uh, worship Satan respectively. [laughs] He actually just wants to be accepted. Hoodies and t-shirts are available for pre-order until 3/17/22. It says it right here on the thing. Well, there you go.
• 30:45
So Steve-O- Can't be wrong. It was right here... and they also have their crazy podcast. I don't know if you wanna listen to... I forget what they call... Oh, Revolting, the Revolting Podcast- Well, nice...
• 30:55
I think is what it's called. [laughs] It can't be any worse than ours, although apparently the one review they had said it's the worst thing I've ever heard. [laughs] Basically. [laughs] In a good way or a bad way?
• 31:09
I'm paraph- I'm paraphrasing. Then the, "Oh, th- they, they didn't edit it well. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah." It was also one of their first ones, 'cause they're only on, like, 15. Right. Right.
• 31:17
Whereas we've been professionally doing this for well over, I don't know, a decade now or something. Mm-hmm. When did we start? When did we start f- You guys started way before me...
• 31:25
fricking frackin' Weekly Dose was 2014, I think, or something, so- I've only been on this, like, three years. Let's see. I'm looking at the show- Whatever. See how professional we are?
• 31:35
Show- I was on Weekly Dose, like, twice, I think Yeah, it was way better when you were only on, like, rarely. [laughs] 24... Well, I d- I have a, a document from 2014. Yeah, that's when I think it started.
• 31:48
So- That was an exercise in the fact that could Gomez and I and JK, and... 'Cause I think you weren't on the first couple of shows. Be in small rooms and not kill each other.
• 31:56
Well, and, and do something creative- I, I popped in after, like, 10, 10, 12... and not, and not, yeah, and not- And not kill each other... yell at each other all the time.
• 32:01
And, you know, to be fair, we did 125 shows, and- Never... some of those were awesome, 'cause we had some awesome guests. That's what we need on this show, less me, more guests.
• 32:11
I, um, I'm just gonna say once again that Sam's an asshole, 'cause I sent him another text saying he should call in, but he's too busy in Mexico- Well- Yeah, yeah.... releasing turtles. Fucking hippie. Releasing...
• 32:20
Yeah, he's releasing something down there. Yeah, he, he sent- 'Cause I think his wife's down there too, right? He sent pictures, and they're releasing turtles. I'm like, "You fucking hippie." All right.
• 32:29
Well, we've done it. He's probably already joined the Trump new- [sighs]... social media page. We've actually done it again. Yes, we have. Unbelievably so, since I don't think it's...
• 32:39
I don't- I'm never gonna compare our show to Seinfeld because I hate that show, but we really talked about nothing for the last half hour. It's all the two- In a totally different way from Seinfeld.
• 32:49
[laughs] Yeah, but a much better way. [laughs] Right. Right. All right. The jingling keys. Everyone, we'll see you next week now. [upbeat music] Oh, yeah. Hey, that... See how that worked? I pushed- [laughs]...
• 32:58
pushed the button and it- [laughs]... just came right up there. Woo-hoo!
• 33:07
  [upbeat music]
