What Happens When Your Body Spends More Energy Than It Can Make | Everything's Energy Ep60 · EEShow (Everything's Energy Show)

Dr. Rob DiMartino: The body isn't just a chemistry set. It is this whole structure of this magnetically coordinated, electrically active, light sensitive, water structured, contained living system that, yes, has biochemicals in it. But they're there to facilitate all of these physics reactions that we're experiencing. And, you know, when we try to to minimize it down into just this with this chemistry set, it puts a very big lid on what the body does and what we can explain and how the body actually works and really ultimately how heals, which I always think is the coolest part because how it works and how heals are synonymous terms.
• 0:36
Roland: Doctor. DiMartino, how are doing, man? It's good to
• 0:40
Dr. Rob DiMartino: be here. Thanks for having me.
• 0:41
Roland: So good. I... It's amazing how we came to connect.
• 0:44
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah.
• 0:44
Roland: My wife has this uncanny ability to find all these amazing people on the world of social media. And after connecting with you, realizing you're fairly new to this whole thing, but you've become a voice of influence and education in the energy medicine space. Am I am I correctly assessing that?
• 1:02
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. I've been doing it for twenty five years at this point clinically, but only more recently did I kind of really say, okay. I I have to do more. Like, I have to say more things. You know, I'm doing what I'm doing in my clinic, but I I need to get out there and try to help get this message out.
• 1:15
And there's a lot of people doing it now, and it's not fair for me to be sitting back and doing what I do and not being contributing to that conversation. So the social media thing is is fairly new to me. It's kind of exploded in a way that Blown up. Didn't really expect it to do it.
• 1:27
Roland: The the amount of followership and engagement, and and it's because you talk to people in a way that's easy to understand where they are, but you're not doing it in a condescending way. I find a lot of people really wanna fluff themselves and promote the the brilliance that they bring and and the skill set. You're just answering these everyday questions that people probably ask chat GPT in a really nice way. I'm curious. Where did your journey start?
• 1:52
Because you said twenty five years in the energy space. Mhmm. Imagine twenty five years ago, it did not look like it does now.
• 1:57
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Nothing like it looked now, and I look nothing like I look now either because I... My brain mindset was completely different.
• 2:02
  Roland: So Okay.
• 2:03
Dr. Rob DiMartino: My story starts earlier. Unfortunately, my older sister passed away from cancer when I was around 10. And the the stress of that was was basically too much for my little system to handle, and my system fell apart. I started getting really severe migraines. And I, you know, I I won the parent lottery.
• 2:17
I have, like, the greatest parents you could ever ask for, and they took me everywhere. I was living in New York City
• 2:22
Roland: at the time. Conscious. Yeah. Relax.
• 2:24
Dr. Rob DiMartino: They they... But they... You know, medically, they've got what they need to have. Right? So they took me to everybody and all these different things, and no one could help.
• 2:31
Right? And finally, one day, I actually hurt myself playing basketball. And thank God I did because then my parents took me to see a chiropractor. And he was the first one who said to he's like, know, hey, Rob, Rob, do you have, like, head and neck problems? Now I went there for sciatica because I didn't have a bad fall plane.
• 2:46
I said, well, I do, but I'm not here for that. But he was the one who actually first helped me. So after four years of suffering with these debilitating migraines, this chiropractor helps me. And for the first time, my mindset was, I... Because I thought I was gonna be an oncologist.
• 3:00
Right? I mean, what else would I do? It changed my whole mindset as well. I'm gonna go this way. So I go through college, I go to chiropractic school, and I'm at chiropractic school for like a month.
• 3:09
And my mom shows up and tells me, you know, you better sit down. I have leukemia. And I was like, oh my god. And so at that point, I had to kinda put aside everything I knew, everything I wanted to do, and I just went. Anybody who had anything to say about immune system ideologies, how somebody could get better.
• 3:28
And I love chiropractic. I think it's a wonderful thing, but I knew I wasn't gonna adjust my my way out of this with her. Mhmm. And I knew from going to doctor's appointments with her that, you know, what they had to offer wasn't going to be able to get her well. Right?
• 3:40
And we already been down this road with my sister. So it just was one of those things that she became patient zero, and I had to just put my ego aside. I had to open my brain up and say, okay. What can we possibly do to get her better? And then that's really ultimately what started this journey, and then ultimately led me to the the biophysics of the body rather than just, you know, this this basic approach.
• 4:00
Roland: Could you explain a little bit about your perspectives with biophysics? Because this is a term that's becoming more popular nowadays. And if you hear it, you're like, okay. Yeah. Well, this biochemistry, well, biophysics is just another science applied to the body, which it is.
• 4:13
But it's a nonlinear, nonintuitive science. It is very much almost like the mathematics of the body in a way. Right? So how would you explain biophysics to someone who's heard this term but doesn't really know how to explain it to someone
• 4:27
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. So the physics is the governing science. Right? I think that's always the most important thing. Right?
• 4:31
There there is no chemistry without physics. Yeah.
• 4:34
Roland: It tells chemistry what to do.
• 4:35
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. There is no chemical reaction without a physics relationship towards it to begin with. So, you know, earlier me, twenty five years ago, would have thought biology was the most important thing. Okay. There's some chemistry and nobody paid attention to physics.
• 4:44
Mhmm. Now we know that that triangle is kind of completely inverted, and there's really no life without the physics side of this. And really, it kinda comes down to the body isn't just a chemistry set. Right? You know, it is this whole structure of, you you know, this magnetically coordinated, electrically active, light sensitive, water structured, you know, contained living system that, yes, has biochemicals in it, but they're there to facilitate all of these physics reactions Yeah.
• 5:17
That we're experiencing. And, you know, when we try to to minimize it down into just this with this chemistry set, it puts a very big lid on what the body does and and what we can explain and how the body actually works and really ultimately how it heals, which I always think is the coolest part because how it works and how it heals are synonymous terms.
• 5:36
Roland: That's such an interesting thing that you just said. It just made me think of the idea that in the current medical system and the paradigm
• 5:43
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Mhmm.
• 5:43
Roland: Every diagnosis is looked at as the same linear thing. So everyone who has a type two diabetes diagnosis, it's all the same problem. It's all the same treatment. It's an easy thing to put into a linear approximation for the sake of protocol. Mhmm.
• 5:58
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? Oh, yeah.
• 5:59
Roland: But I've often said this, having worked with a multitude of people with different conditions, there's no two people that develop those two conditions the same. And just because they have the two same diagnoses, everything under the surface has got to be individuated. It's got to be individualized. And I think the chemistry is just what we can see that's as a result of the physics operating in the background. Would you agree with that?
• 6:21
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. A 100%. You know, they will have a certain type of damage in the system that will create x, y, and z disease. But the path for somebody to get there will be different for almost all of those people. Yeah.
• 6:33
Right? That's the road that is is really what makes this unique and individualized. I could tell you if you have x, y, and z disease, it's probably because you have damage here. Right? That's there.
• 6:41
How you got that damage and how you get rid of that damage, that's what's unique to the individual side. But we like syndromes. I mean, I like syndromes too. It makes everything so much easier, but it's not always as linear as a plus b plus c. If it was, then we wouldn't really be having, any of these diseases or conversations.
• 6:56
Roland: Everything would be solved by the tip of the doctor. Easy.
• 6:58
Dr. Rob DiMartino: And that would be nice, but it's just stuck reality.
• 7:01
Roland: So in the context of biophysics, because you can't simply protocolize the assessment of it, although I do find it kinda funny that all Western assessment medical devices are on the principles of physics. They they sound like a magnetic resonance imaging Yes. A CAT scan. They do use energy medicine for assessment. Yep.
• 7:19
But how do you practically apply biophysics to a patient centric approach?
• 7:24
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Is there a clinician? Yeah. Yeah. Clinically, know, clinically on that line. You know, you can use biochemistry to a certain extent.
• 7:31
Right? We can run lab works and different things like that, but you can't read them as linearly as, okay. You're high in this or you're just low in that, so you need more of this, so you need to take some of this out of your system. You have to look at patterns. Right?
• 7:44
This is pattern recognition. And, you know, you... People talk about, like, MRI is a great example. EEG is a great example. EKG is a great example of using physics to measure.
• 7:52
But in EKG, they have to read the pattern. Right? Like, they don't read one line and say, okay. This means that you have this. They're looking at the pattern of the way that it fires.
• 8:01
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 8:01
Dr. Rob DiMartino: It's okay. That means you have A fib or you have whatever problem that they're gonna diagnose. So it's really about pattern recognition more than anything else. And you can look in a biochemical model and figure out pattern recognition. But at a certain point, if you wanna talk about energy and energy production inside of the body and the way that energy works, which is essentially what physics is, We can't really...
• 8:20
In physics, we can't really still come up with a good definition of energy or explanation of it. Like, it's still kind of debated. But, you know, the one I like the most is it's the potential for change.
• 8:30
Roland: Energy is the potential for change. Interesting. Right. So I never heard of that like
• 8:35
Dr. Rob DiMartino: the post. I stole it from somebody else, and I'll give me credit for it. Don't give me credit
• 8:38
Roland: for it. Whoever you are, nicely done.
• 8:39
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. Doctor. McCarty, that's that's yours, buddy. Yeah. I I like that one the most.
• 8:42
Right? See, the energy is the potential for change. So we have to be able to measure energy capacity. It's the same way you would take a battery and say, how much life does this thing have left? Right?
• 8:51
You know, how is that working? And then, you know, there's technologies that advance down. It's okay. The individual parts, how is the energy flowing? Is it working?
• 8:57
Right? Are we making enough? Are we spending too much? Are we using it the right way? Are we using it efficiently?
• 9:03
You know, in a biochemical model, we don't have a test that says, oh, the amount of energy that you make is this, and the amount that you spent is that, which leaves you this much left over. You know, hopefully, at some point, we'll get to something like that. But right now, like, we can read that. You just... Again, it's not it's syndrome.
• 9:16
You have to be able to read between the lines. You have to be able to read those patterns. But also then understand the science that exists beneath it, because without that scientific foundation, the patterns don't make sense because they don't make sense in biochemical line.
• 9:28
Roland: So could you go into a few of those a little bit? Because I'd like to get to how you practically measure energy clinically, but what are those scientific foundations that are the guiding principles of knowing how to actually take a measurement and know what to do with it, to to to patternize it, if you will.
• 9:44
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. So it's... A lot of it exists really in Chinese medicine. You know, you you see things like... People will typically know about things like HRV, heart rate variability.
• 9:52
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 9:52
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? Heart rate variability is a great ideology to look at something like that. EAV testing, which is a Chinese medicine type of testing that basically, in a simplistic form, and, again, this is overly simplified, but in acupuncture, you know, where they put the needles in will stimulate a certain spot. Well, now there's technology that basically reads the energy coming off of the other spots so you can kinda get a a determination of how well or not well this part is working. Right?
• 10:14
  So you're just working backwards.
• 10:16
Roland: I'm I'm smiling at you because not only do I have an e a... EAV device at home, HRV is my guiding principle of how I assess the entirety of someone's pattern and look at how I can facilitate change based upon assessment, intervention, assessment. So you're speaking my language here.
• 10:33
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Well, even all of the doctors that I know that are not necessarily even clinicians, researchers that are researching in the space, and really the space would be biophysics or it would even be, like, mitochondrial research because when it gets to energy, you're talking about mitochondrial stuff. These are the tests that they point to saying this is where this goes. Right? They're not talking... I mean, they're talking about some blood work ideologies, but they're really not talking about that.
• 10:55
Like, one of the guys who's the foremost expert in mitochondrial function, mitochondrial DNA, and all those ideologies, he... He's talking at the big Chinese medicine conference in China next month. Right? That that's where these guys are looking to go. You know, the poll is to go the other direction, but but we know that that's kind of the path of where this goes.
• 11:12
It's not fringe. It's this core science, but we're stuck in this idea that we're trying to put people in this chemistry set, and we're trying to blame everything on chemical problems. Because if we can make the problem a chemical invader Mhmm. Then we could sell a patentable chemical solution.
• 11:28
Roland: It's really a resonance problem. It's a flow problem.
• 11:31
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right. I mean, know, it would be good. It would be easier if it was chemistry, but I think we've Yeah. Been after how many, you know, decades of trying to do it this way and not really getting anywhere. We have to look elsewhere.
• 11:41
Otherwise, we're in that pattern of doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result that we're just not getting.
• 11:45
Roland: AKA the definition of insanity. Right.
• 11:47
Dr. Rob DiMartino: You know, I like baseball, and I always tell people I like baseball because they count everything. Right? And then you're looking at the stats over... Of course, a long enough period of time, you can't fake it. Right?
• 11:55
And our our numbers for health care are not good.
• 11:57
Roland: Yeah. Patterns again. Patterns against always patterns. So what you're saying is you're looking at taking sample data from an individual, and you're looking at the overall state of regulation of how they're functioning through something like a heart rate variability assessment. And and for anyone who's listening, you're looking at the rhythm of the heart to know how the nervous system is regulating all the functions of the tissues.
• 12:19
That's a fair way of saying it. Yeah. And then you're using something called an electronic acupuncture device, which was invented, I think, in the early nineteen hundreds by doctor Reinhard Volt.
• 12:27
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Volt. Yeah.
• 12:28
Roland: And he looked at the Chinese meridian system and went, oh, there's there's something to this. Yeah. There's data. He took it into a technology that was essentially there to put a small amount of current through the meridian, and it comes back as either high, low, or stable. Is that a fair...
• 12:43
Am I missing something? Exactly. And so once you do those things, are are there a few other things, or are those the two foundational principles?
• 12:49
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Those are those are major ones, especially from the technical. There's ideologies in bioresonance, and you have talked about frequency matching. Right. You know, I would I would use the example for patients. Like, you know, have you ever seen the movies, you know, the the military guys go in and You know, people in the house, they put on the goggles, and they say, I could see their heat signatures there.
• 13:04
Right? They can tell where they are based on the matching frequencies of heat. Right? So it's the same idea. It's it's matching frequencies.
• 13:10
It's looking for patterns of what's inside the body. It's it's resonance. Are things tuned the correct way? Is it not tuned the correct way? You know, your body is like a big instrument Mhmm.
• 13:20
Playing all these different frequencies. And and we've known these frequencies forever, basically. At this point, it seems like. Or at least, you know, other parts of the world
• 13:27
Roland: have long held Rolodexes of this information that seem to never make it over here for some strange reason. Yeah.
• 13:33
Dr. Rob DiMartino: We just got stuck in that biochemical model of Yeah. Of, you know, for for lots of political reasons ultimately. But at the end of the day, we talked about before, lot of this technology does come from overseas.
• 13:43
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 13:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: You know? But it doesn't mean it's wrong. It doesn't mean it's not the most accurate thing that we have out there. But, you know, if you think think of something like chronic fatigue. Right?
• 13:51
It's it's still probably the most, if not one of the most googled health problems in the world. And yet we still have this ideology that we don't know have
• 13:57
Roland: anything about idea about It's a fictitious syndrome. Right. Yeah. Or an unknown causative factor syndrome.
• 14:02
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Causative, but the the... I mean, the causation, if if you're low on energy, where do you look? Well, you look at the parts of the body that make energy. Right? And that...
• 14:08
That's gonna be your mitochondria. But in a in a traditional medical model, mitochondria really don't exist. Mhmm. Right? They exist in theory.
• 14:16
Yeah. In practicality, is there a medication for them? No. Is there... Are they trying to really develop much for them?
• 14:22
No. Does 1% of all research go to mitochondrial function? Yeah. So they're they're kind of like the forgotten child, but now we're knowing more and more that all of this stuff is mitochondrial based. But we're in this genetic determinism, chemical model, anatomical model of Mhmm.
• 14:39
You know, my head hurts, so there must be a problem with my head. And then people go and they get images of their head, and they're like, no. Your head's fine. Or you do lab work and like, no. That's fine.
• 14:48
And then they're confused, but we have to look at it more of this bioenergetic model of, look, there's a pool of energy that the body makes. Most of that's gonna come from mitochondrial function. The body's gonna pull from it. The brain's gonna take most of it. Right?
• 15:01
2% of your body weight, but 20% of your energetic capacity goes to your brain. So it... It's basically like the CEO who's taking profits. Depends what those profits are. If they're a million dollars or they're a $100,000, his profit's still gonna be 20%, but it's gonna be vastly different.
• 15:14
Mhmm. And his lifestyle is gonna be affected by that, the brain's gonna do the same thing. So, again, amazing how little research goes into what we're talking about and how far we've come.
• 15:22
Roland: Most of the mitochondrial research from what I've been understanding goes to, like, mitochondrial genetics. Yeah. But the... You said it really well. The idea of a mitochondria is not much more developed than this grade 10 bio...
• 15:37
Biology based powerhouse of the cell idea. Everyone knows what they do. And there are a couple tests out there that supposedly Yeah. Give you indications of mitochondrial function. On a biochemical level, I'm not sold.
• 15:49
I'm not sold that a organic acid test is a good indication of mitochondrial function systemically. Maybe there's some correlation patterns. Yeah. Some. I think there's a mitochondrial cytochrome test where you can do a cheek swab and look at the performance of the cytochromes.
• 16:04
But again, these things for the average person are confusing because when they hear the word cytochrome, they go, what do people practically need to understand about mitochondria to be empowered to have more knowledge than the average medical professional in your opinion?
• 16:19
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. So there's a couple sizes. You hit one of them already where most people know. I mean, I vividly remember my seventh grade teacher being like the powerhouse of the cell, you know, with the hands. Yep.
• 16:27
And that's when... And it's funny because actually people say that to me all the time.
• 16:30
Roland: It's indoctrinated everyone in the Western world. They still know that,
• 16:32
Dr. Rob DiMartino: which is great. So I'm glad everybody remembered from that point. And I'm like, yeah, that... That's very much a part of it. But, basically, they are the antenna of our existence.
• 16:40
Right? So they are frequency antenna. They are sensing... They're not just mindless engines that are droning along. They're sensing everything that is happening in our environment.
• 16:50
What kind of inputs we are giving them? Are they good, healthy, natural inputs? Are they foreign inputs? Right? Like EMF or bad light or whatever the case may be with that.
• 16:59
Emotions. Now there's a lot of the whole world showing that emotions have direct effect on the actual physical structure of mitochondria.
• 17:07
Roland: I so wanna go into that, but you're a flowic Yeah.
• 17:10
Dr. Rob DiMartino: No. It's it's it's it's a make up... It's an important point for that. Basically, no. Emotions play a major role in this.
• 17:14
So, you know, when we when we look at it from a from a mitochondrial perspective, they do so much more than just be these little mindless engines that just churn out energy even though they do that as well. But we talk about it. You know, I think one of the biggest thing is... I mean, it was really about forty years ago, but really within the last twenty years is we figured out that mitochondria have their own genetics. They have their own DNA, what we call mitochondrial DNA.
• 17:36
So most people are aware that you have DNA. Right? There... Those are in the nucleus of your cell. You get 50% from mom, 50% from your dad, But they're gonna determine structural type of things and outputs.
• 17:46
Right? So what do you look like? You know, what's your eye color? What's your skin tone? Those things.
• 17:51
But my... And we've always blamed nuclear genetics for disease. Right? Now I have a 30 year old patient comes in, said I have x y z problem, and doctor, oh, it's just genetic or it's aging. Do these genetics change over the course of time?
• 18:04
Right? Did you have these from birth, so why why now? Now what they know is it's damage to the mitochondrial DNA that determines whether or not somebody gets disease. Mhmm. What disease you will get will play a more major role in your nuclear genetics.
• 18:20
Like, that's gonna be your road map to... It's okay. You're either gonna get this or you're get that. Depending upon what you're... That's why there's family history of what it looks like.
• 18:27
Interesting. But what you'll get is determined on nuclear. Whether you will get it or not is determined on mitochondrial DNA. And they've mapped it down now with over about 300 different chronic diseases where they can say, you will get damage in this part. And when you get damage in this part at that percentage, you will get one of these diseases depending upon what your nucleogenics look like.
• 18:48
I mean, it is it is that laid out nonlinear. Now we can't send people to a lab and find that out. But as clinicians, if we know that, it allows us to be able to work backwards, and now there's all of a sudden a foundation of science underneath those testings that we can do and saying, okay. This is my theory of disease. How do I find a pattern that lets me know that's where I have to work?
• 19:09
Roland: So what you're saying is the driver of the development of said disease, and, sir, whatever it is, chronic degenerative in nature. Yep. The driver is coming from the mitochondrial side of things, be it an energy deficit, a mitochondrial DNA dysfunction that then creates something that will be experienced in the nuclear DNA. Yep. And from my understanding, all mitochondrial DNA comes from mom.
• 19:32
Yep. 100% maternal. What is that connection there that you think practically might have value in in looking at what did mom go through? What did grandma go through? Are those things that can say the epigenetic inheritance is really being seen in the mitochondrial DNA side of things?
• 19:49
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. It is. And, you know, whenever we do history with people, I'll say, look. I'm, you know, I'm interested in what happened on your on your dad's side, but I'm really more interested in what happened on your mom's side, especially if we're in chronic diseases like autoimmunoids and things like that. Because that's going to start to answer some more questions for us.
• 20:04
Right? What does their health look like? Unfortunately, a lot of times we'll get kids coming to the clinic and, you know, they'll be young, four, five, you know, 10 years old with autoimmune diseases. That wasn't necessarily something we would see before. And the parents always have the same questions like, well, you know, how does this happen?
• 20:20
And so usually my first question is, so, hey, mom, like, what what does your health look like? Oh, well, you know, I have Crohn's or I have x, y, and z. The reality is if you have a a mom who has an autoimmune disease, she has, like, a four hundred percent greater chance of having a child.
• 20:32
  Roland: It's that much higher.
• 20:34
Dr. Rob DiMartino: And this is not to put blame, and I always feel bad to do this to the lady.
• 20:37
Roland: Yeah. Yeah. It's it's not an accusatory thing. You're just talking about a a transference.
• 20:41
Dr. Rob DiMartino: But it's important. Yeah. Right? Like, like, you know, like, I get women reach out all the time. Like, you for saying this because I didn't know that.
• 20:47
And as, you know, as terrifying as it may be, it's not designed to be terrifying. It's designed to be empowered. Right? Because we know that, and we know that those DNAs matter. Like, again, autoimmunity usually happens in women of childbearing age.
• 20:59
Mhmm. Right? It's more... Way more common in women. It's 12 to one women to men, and it's way more common in, you know, typically that age range.
• 21:05
And they'll ask me, like, I wanna have a baby. I'm like, that's great. Let's get this good first, then you do that because then you're gonna have this best outcome. And then it's funny because they come back. It's like, well, now you've affected generations of of life.
• 21:17
Right? Just just from just from one ultimate piece of data, but it really ultimately comes down to what that mitochondrial looks like. And, again, the the mitochondria genome functions on different, you know, rules and different functions than what nuclear DNA does.
• 21:30
Roland: Going back to mitochondria, you describe them as antenna sensing. It almost sounds like you're saying they have an element of sentient consciousness.
• 21:40
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Well, yeah. What would Would
• 21:41
Roland: you say that that is the way you look at it? For sure.
• 21:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? Well, it's symbiosis. Right? Because somewhere, whatever, 1,500,000,000 years ago, we don't know exactly how this happened.
• 21:50
Roland: And a prokarya together. But two
• 21:53
Dr. Rob DiMartino: bacterias decided to form together because the oxygen content on the earth went too high, and oxygen is toxic to bacteria. So they needed to form a unison whether one ate the other or they did it out of a, you know, a survival instinct, but they became what became our mitochondria and they are bacterial in origin. Right? So we ended up forming this this tight unit here where they do their thing, and it helps us because they generate energy for us. And they can survive because they could survive in us, so we have this, like, the greatest teamwork in the history of ever.
• 22:21
Right? So, yeah, they they do run their own thing, but but they have certain requirements and needs as as... To get us the things that we have certain requirements and needs as well. So, yeah, I I look at them as their own ideology because they are... You know, the same way that we would look at, like, parasites or things like that as as a, you know, negative relationship.
• 22:38
Mitochondria have this beneficial relationship, but we we wanna keep it beneficial. Right? There are things that they need, and there are things that we are doing now that are as directly harmful for them. And nobody knows it because, you know, as medical professionals, we're not telling them. Again, the voices are getting louder, but, again, we're drowned out by this chemical model that, you know, might...
• 22:55
I mean, even looking in school I went to, I think we did one course. It was like one part of one course talked about mitochondria.
• 23:01
Roland: Was it. And this is in medical school? Yeah. Yeah. It's amazing how even today...
• 23:07
I forget the exact amount of time, this is the the research that is generally accepted today by decree is already twenty years out of date because it's accepted today. So we really do operate on a past based model. Yeah.
• 23:20
Dr. Rob DiMartino: And that's and that's probably a polite time frame. Really? We're probably... Yeah. I think it's about eighteen years, I think, is what they say.
• 23:26
We're probably further behind that. But it... It's not even that we're further behind it, but it's all the right answers to all the wrong questions.
• 23:34
Roland: Interesting. All the right answers to all the wrong questions.
• 23:36
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. We're doing all of this research, and we're... You know, The US is number one in two things, right, in in health care, spending and innovation. And in outcome, we're pretty much at the bottom Yeah. Of everything.
• 23:49
Right? So we spend the most, and we have the worst, the worst physical outcomes, which means the answer is not spending more or doing more of this type of research. The answer is changing the research to look at something else. Right? At some point, you have to change the questions because otherwise, we keep trying to answer.
• 24:05
We keep you more and more research, spending more and more money coming up with more and more innovation. But like we're saying in baseball, right, the proof is in the pudding. Right? There's only... The numbers do not lie.
• 24:13
If you spend the most money on a team and you have the worst record, you're gonna blow that team up pretty fast. Now that's not the scenario that we're in in health care. But if you are a person dealing with these problems, that is a paramount that boards for you because that has a shift of mindset before you could ever talk about potentially getting better.
• 24:27
Roland: The only way that analogy would work in sports is if there was money and incentivizing loss. Right.
• 24:32
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? And teams tank, I guess, to get better Yes.
• 24:35
Roland: To get better draft picks. If it's not, they have change the culture.
• 24:37
Dr. Rob DiMartino: But they have to change the ideology. Yeah. Like, the the the the core ideology has to change.
• 24:42
Roland: Well, medicine is business. Yeah. It's a big business, and I'll let people interpret and impute the meaning of what they want in that. We won't go too far down that rabbit hole. Yeah.
• 24:52
But, you know, there... There's a saying that the patient of day of today becomes a doctor of tomorrow. I think... Correct. Correction.
• 24:59
I know. I believe truly that the information that you're providing is gonna be the thing that catches fire in the individual so they can start taking accountability and responsibility for themselves. I wanted to ask you this. You said we're doing a bunch of things to harm our mitochondria. Yeah.
• 25:15
What are those inputs that you're seeing physically? But, also, I wanna start bridging the gap into the nonphysical vibrational world of
• 25:23
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah.
• 25:23
  Roland: No. Mitochondrial toxins.
• 25:25
Dr. Rob DiMartino: For sure. I mean, well, again, think about this basic ideology. Right? From a chemical level even. We talk about mitochondria or bacteria.
• 25:33
Right? They are bacterial in origin. So what happens when somebody takes an antibiotic? An antibacterial, are they damaging to mitochondria? Yeah.
• 25:42
They are directly. You know? And we we know that. Medications like the idea was like gentamicin, is a specific type of antibiotic. If a person has a certain amount of mitochondrial DNA damage and they take gentamicin within a week, they'll go deaf.
• 25:58
Because that will damage that part of the mitochondria. We know that, and it will put them over the threshold of damage, they and will lose their hearing within a week. Now they don't really use that classification medication anymore, but it was always this thing like, well, it could make you go deaf. Yes. It could make you go deaf if you had damage to the mitochondrial DNA in this part at this percentage.
• 26:17
Right? So I'm talking... Like, again, that's the level of specificity that we're talking about. So on a chemical level, you... And people are like, why don't I take antibiotics?
• 26:23
You have to eat food. Right? And most of our antibiotics go into food. Mhmm. Right?
• 26:28
  So, again, food
• 26:28
Roland: Depends on the kind of food you eat.
• 26:30
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Depends on the type of food you eat, but, again, no one's really thinking about it from that perspective, and we're not doing our job telling people. But, you know, beyond that, you know, I I... Again, I I don't wanna make it about a chemical thing because we spent all this time talking about how it's not biochemical.
• 26:40
Roland: It's... But it's still worthwhile because the practical takeaways are so important that people can make a decision starting tomorrow to change.
• 26:46
Dr. Rob DiMartino: That's that's why I like to bring that one up because I because I think that's important. But, you know, when you go down like, okay. It's the toxin line and all of these different types of things. All the toxins that get into our system end up becoming harmful to us, basically, because they alter frequency.
• 26:59
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 27:00
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? So, you when we get into this ideology, especially in functional medicine and and and my job, I guess, and this is to kinda make everybody mad. So I make the conventional side mad. I make the natural side mad because you get...
• 27:09
Roland: You're not making me mad. I'm loving
• 27:10
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Well, you gotta have that real conversation. Yeah. That's where growth occurs. Right? So, you know, it it violates these ideas of cause and effect.
• 27:16
Right? All chemical toxins cause autoimmune disease. Cool. Which ones?
• 27:20
  Roland: And how? Right. Exactly.
• 27:21
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Well, what do we mean? Well, it depends on the person. So when I first started doing my function medicine training, when I was looking at stuff to help my mom, you know, that was always the thing. You know? Their their whole thing was we find the root cause.
• 27:30
Cool. What what is that? Well, it depends on the person. It's basically ultimately the answer. So I'm like, so you're telling me it's either genetics or luck.
• 27:36
Now it's sort of his genetics, which mitochondria, but they weren't talking about that as the ideology. So my... Because you can have a person with a tremendously high toxic load inside their system, and they're fine. And you could have somebody with a very low toxic load, and they're sick. But it has to be one to one or at least a a high percentage.
• 27:51
Eighty percent of the time you're gonna see this relationship to that relationship, and we never got that. But what do we know about chemicals? A guy named Fritz Alfred Pop back in the seventies did this where he would be able to tell which chemicals would cause cancer and which ones wouldn't because when he put certain frequencies of light into the body, if the chemical scattered that light, it caused cancer. It became carcinogenic. If it didn't scatter the light, it didn't.
• 28:14
Roland: So basically creates entropy or not entropy.
• 28:16
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. It creates an energetic change in a way that doesn't make sense, so it becomes alien. Mhmm. Right? Because if frequencies don't match up...
• 28:23
Like, there's a tremendous amount of frequencies, but we're all programmed for them. If we get alien ones, then we're gonna end up having problems. So talking about alien frequencies, I mean, electromagnetic fields. Right? As we sit in here, we were talking about how we're we're techy, but not techy.
• 28:36
Yeah. Right? That's thing. And part of the avoidance of that is because these things are directly harmful to our mitochondria. You know, they they they hurt us in multiple different ways.
• 28:45
They dehydrate us. Right? Electromagnetic fields dehydrate us, and they put our nervous systems into a state of fight or flight. Always. Right?
• 28:51
They create damage. Blue light. You know, blue light toxicity. No. I know we were talking about before, and I should've worn my glasses.
• 28:57
  I didn't wanna
• 28:58
Roland: be too weird, but we could've been weird to these. Yeah. They're not. They look cool. They are functional.
• 29:01
They are They're assuring these long.
• 29:02
Dr. Rob DiMartino: No. I... Trust me. I... I'm a augment with you, man.
• 29:04
  I... But I have them
• 29:05
Roland: on and and everything at
• 29:06
Dr. Rob DiMartino: the home and the office and all that. But it's it's one of those things where, you know, these aren't the typical things we're talking about with people. Right? I mean, these aren't a typical... Maybe blue light has the same effect on somebody that caffeine does.
• 29:18
Mhmm. Right? So it's this stimulatory effect. I mean, we we could easily make somebody diabetic without any food changes by just giving them blue light. Right?
• 29:26
Blue light creates an aldehyde reaction, and aldehyde is the chemical that makes you get sick or harm your health when you drink alcohol. So, basically, blue light basically makes you drunk all the time, and we're bathing in this, and we're bathing in it twenty four seven. And at the same time, all of these things come back to the main thing that it alters our circadian rhythm. Right? So we're a week too late.
• 29:50
We're stimulated way too late, and then we have the flip side of it, which is stay out of the sun is the recommendation to make.
• 29:58
Roland: And the sun is a dangerous thing that helps everything on this planet grow, but you should avoid it.
• 30:03
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yes. There was no life on Earth without the sun, and every dystopian movie ever made basically has the sun blacked out. Right? But it's bad for you to stay out.
• 30:11
Roland: Never go on direct sunlight. Right.
• 30:13
Dr. Rob DiMartino: No. God. God. If there's the worst thing you could do for your
• 30:14
Roland: Sunscreen and sunglasses. You'll be okay.
• 30:17
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Just just yes. Whatever you do. And and, again, you know, it became this ideology thing, and and it gained a lot of traction. And and, of course, the sun is a powerful medium, and you need to know how to use it. Right?
• 30:27
There is ideologies and strategies around how you use the sun, but we know that mitochondria are tuned to light. We know that's what they are looking for. We know they are looking for specific patterns of light. And right now, we're we're giving them alien forms of all of these frequencies and signals that they would normally get and know how to run and function, and they were confused why the chemistry looks so bad. So then we keep trying to alter their chemistry, but we keep putting in these altered inputs and wondering why our outputs are so bad.
• 30:56
We have to start at the beginning. You have to give them what they need. Right? So you have to give them the inputs that they need. You have to repair wherever they're damaged, and you have to make sure all the slips and checks of the body of the things that control that are good.
• 31:07
But that's not the message. Right? They said that we're joking around, but the message is, you know, stay out of the sun. Whatever you do, don't ever get sunlight. You know?
• 31:15
And, again, look at it. You know, I... I've I've, you know, had plenty of debates. We'll call them debates with eye doctors online. So do you have to wear sunglasses?
• 31:25
Why? Because if you go around... I mean, so is that a piece of advice that people usually take, wear sunglasses? You go outside in Vegas. Right?
• 31:31
80% of the people... 90% of people have sunglasses on. Right? So this is not a piece of advice that people are ignoring at a high level. And here we are in a what?
• 31:40
An eye care crisis. Mhmm. Because everyone's eyes are terrible.
• 31:43
Roland: And it's funny how little people know about the details. Like, for example, if you're driving at noon outside, your windshield is blocking all the UV light. Yep. So that's the dangerous one.
• 31:53
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Mhmm.
• 31:53
Roland: So by virtue of driving a car, your eyes are protected from the frequency of light that's supposedly causing the blindness. Yep. But UV light's also a circadian rhythm regulator. It is a biological signal that actually regulates brain function when the body should be making certain hormones and upregulating or downregulating certain activities in the body. And I used to debate people all the time because I haven't worn sunglasses in probably twenty plus years.
• 32:18
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. Me too.
• 32:18
Roland: And I recently got my eyes tested. They're like, yeah. You don't need glasses, but... And this is the funny part about the medical system. We're gonna write you prescription anyways because we have to.
• 32:28
Yeah. I got I got my pupils dilated. What a horrible experience that was. I had to sit down because she said, oh, about ten to fifteen percent of the population who has a sensitive nervous system, they don't do well with this. They should have told you that before they dilated the pupils.
• 32:41
I'm like, I have to drive home now. They need to just give me these, like, Stevie Wonder glasses, but that's a totally tangential story. That's true. But the point is, I should be the most blind person on the planet because I have worn sunglasses in my forty years, probably a cumulative of about two.
• 32:56
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Mhmm. And it's funny because when... So when I was a kid and I was dealing with all of these really severe headaches, the one thing that I was having was severe light sensitivity. Mhmm. It was to the point that I would have to wake up early to go to school to go get my eyes even a little bit accustomed to the sunlight.
• 33:14
Because if I went outside and I and I... Even if I had sunglasses on, if I didn't do that part where I got accustomed to it, my eyes would literally tear down my face. Really? I was that sensitive. And I would go to the doctor's note, tell him, I was like, this isn't normal.
• 33:27
Right? And they're like, well, you have green eyes. Thanks. But a lot of people have green eyes, and they're not crying hysterically. Thanks for the help, but I'm wanting
• 33:34
Roland: some help. You have nice green eyes.
• 33:35
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. But that's not... You know, nobody else is doing this either. My my my friends have blue eyes. They don't seem to have this problem.
• 33:41
Right? So... But then I I realized what it was. So then, you know, did I... Was I able to just do it immediately?
• 33:46
  No.
• 33:47
Roland: But, you know, it's it's always the
• 33:48
Dr. Rob DiMartino: comment I get back when people are like, so... Well, you know, I could go... I went outside once. I got really, really burned. But that would be like, you know, on vacation.
• 33:55
That would be like me saying, I've never lifted weights before. I went into the gym once. I decided I was gonna bench press 500 pounds, and I dropped the bar on my chest. That means weightlifting is bad and dangerous and horrible. You should never...
• 34:07
No one should ever do it. Mhmm. Did you just not know how to use it? Again, not your fault. I mean, it's it's on us as experts, especially, you know, in those fields to be able to tell people how to do that sort of stuff, but doesn't necessarily inherently makes it bad.
• 34:18
  It's user error.
• 34:19
Roland: Back to practicality. Right? People don't realize that as you slowly dose yourself with more sun, you develop a sun callus, so to speak, of resistance. At this point in the year, burning is very hard for me. Oh, yeah.
• 34:29
But I've slowly, from the start of the spring, dosed myself. You have to know when to go outside. The same thing with your art. You don't walk outside in the blinding sunlight after wearing sunglasses for ten, fifteen, twenty years and expect your physiology just to know what to do. You have to micro progress it in.
• 34:45
Right. So you can build the tolerance. Exercise the... You don't start by dead lifting the five plates.
• 34:50
Dr. Rob DiMartino: You just grab the bar. You have to start at some Yeah.
• 34:52
Roland: Some point. So you can bend over first.
• 34:54
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yes. Maybe do it without it. Right? Just just work the motions. But but it's these things.
• 34:59
And, we're impatient people as humans, which is, you know, part of our character traits. But at the same time, you know, it's weird that we have to even talk about any of these things just because the ideology of how to use sunlight.
• 35:11
Roland: But it's not intuitive because it's been obfuscated, and we've been confused for so long that people don't wanna think. They just wanna outsource their expertise to someone who is an authority and then just blindly follow what it is they say because it makes sense to their confirmation bias. That's that's the dangerous nature of Yeah. Society today.
• 35:27
Dr. Rob DiMartino: We were not meant for any No. Right. But, you know, and it's relatively new. Mhmm. Right?
• 35:32
It it seems old to us because we've been... It's been around now for a minute, but it's relatively new, especially compared to how long we've been around and what we were designed to be in the beginning portions of it. So, I mean, we're... Now, I mean, we're really living an alien lifestyle here. Right?
• 35:45
You know, they say the average person spends 93% outside of the sunlight. And, again, I think 93% is probably pretty polite because I think it's probably significantly less than that for for most people. But, you know, we're we're we're bathed in blue light. We're getting crushed by all this EMF, everything else, and all these things are directly toxic to our mitochondria. And not only are they toxic, but then we're not getting the signals that they need to work correctly.
• 36:09
And then we're seeing the manifestation of all these problems that we can trace directly back to these mitochondrial damages and all these different of things. And yet here here we are confused, but it's confusing in a biochemical model. But in a biophysics model, you know, my staff yells at me all the time to, like, look. You have to pretend to be a little bit more confused than you are. Right?
• 36:27
Someone can't see 35 doctors, and you walk in, and you're like, it's just this. They're like, that doesn't that doesn't make sense. It only makes... But it makes sense from a biophysical model. You're trying to wedge this this round peg into a square hole with this this chemistry set.
• 36:40
And, again, it's not that I don't look at that. I think it's an important thing. I think it's an important thing on the checklist. It's just further down because those things I care about you. If you get your light environment right, you start getting all these things right, all of a sudden, the scales tip very much more in your direction versus, you know, the bag of 100 different, you know, different supplements a day or something like that.
• 36:58
Roland: Well, what's so cool about what you just said, and I wanna hit home on the practicalities of this, it doesn't cost anything. Right. You go outside. I mean, maybe if you're not used to the heat, it might suck in Vegas to spend $10.20 minutes outside, but it's dry heat, so you're not gonna sweat. I mean, I'm in South Georgia.
• 37:15
If you think outside aggressively, you're sweating. Yes. My new... That's my hobby from about June to September. But go outside, get some sun, know when to get some sun.
• 37:23
Don't wear socks, put your feet on the grass, or some sort of... Even concrete, you're gonna get some degree of grounding exposure through a material that has a degree of connectivity connection. And then don't wear sunglasses and just do that more regularly, make it a priority. And while you're doing it, hydrate and breathe and try to think genuinely positive thoughts. It's amazing how that alone, not in a day Not in a day.
• 37:54
Not in a week, not in a month. I think it's directly correlated to however long you've had the problem. There has to be some degree of time reverse engineering component that will give you weeks and months of commitment of requirement in order for you to see the difference. That's amazing what a difference I can make.
• 38:10
Dr. Rob DiMartino: And that's that's the part. You know, it... It's it's a it's an easy thing, but the simplicity of it is lost in the consistency. Yep. Right?
• 38:19
Yeah. It is meant to be done every single day. Now I care about my health. Right? I I lost four years of my life from being sick and having headaches where I, you know, I was missing school.
• 38:28
I'd be always missing going to... You know, I'll never forget. I was gonna go on a ski trip with my friends, and my friends all showed up in my house all excited to go. I'm in the bathroom, head in the toilet because I got a migraine that's making me sick. Mhmm.
• 38:38
And I'll never forget the look on my friend's face because the second that they saw that I was going down, they all got sad because I meant I wasn't going on the trip with them. Right? I was sad too because I I I mean, I vividly remember the look on their face when I saw that. I mean, I I lost that time. So my...
• 38:51
Obviously, I chose to do health as a career, so it obviously matters to me. Mhmm. But I still do these things every single day. I tell my... Make make my family do these things every single day.
• 38:59
And believe me, if I was sick, I would be a 100 times more aggressive about it than I am now because I'm not losing time. Right? And and and it's the one thing, you know, that we don't get back is time, but time is not linear. Right? Everyone experiences time very differently, and your health is one of the major ways that you experience time.
• 39:19
Mhmm. You know, time slows down the healthier you are. You think about it when you're a kid, you know, your birthday or Christmas can't come fast enough. Right? The time takes forever to get to these fun things.
• 39:28
And then you're in a doggy my age, and you go, man, I can't believe we're past another Friday. Again. Here I got my taxes again. You know,
• 39:35
Roland: like, it's it's every year it
• 39:35
Dr. Rob DiMartino: comes up. And people tell you as you get older, it goes even faster. Right? Because the the experience of time is very different. But the way we experience time is based on the health of ourselves and really ultimately the base of our basis of our mitochondrial function.
• 39:48
Roland: I was just gonna say it's almost like the mitochondria are the keepers of time.
• 39:52
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. They're timekeepers. They they run basically little time engines inside of our body, and and when they're good, time slows down. Here's another thing. You see it in athletics.
• 40:00
You hear athletes always talk about it goes... The game goes slow.
• 40:04
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 40:05
Dr. Rob DiMartino: It it doesn't go slow.
• 40:07
Roland: It's a perception of it.
• 40:08
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. They're slowing time down because they're energetically so tight, and their nervous systems are so strong that they're able to predict. Our nervous systems like to be able to predict. When it can't predict, that's chaos, and it doesn't like that. It wants to be able to predict.
• 40:21
Right? It likes that, okay. This is gonna be sunrise. It's gonna be here. We're gonna go to sleep at this time.
• 40:25
Right? There's a prediction about that. Think about when people get anxiety. Most of the time, it's the anticipation of whatever the thing is. Right?
• 40:32
It's not being able to predict what's going to happen. It's not being in the now. Yeah. They're... So athletes, their nervous systems are so good at predicting they're just seeing things happening in advance because, okay, he's gonna do this.
• 40:41
That's gonna happen. That's why it looks like it goes slow for them. Whereas if, you know, if you put a regular person out there, it looks like everybody's running around and and every time is moving way too fast. Yeah. It...
• 40:50
It's just the opposite of of what we're tuned for. And there's always gonna be people whose bodies are good at doing certain things and not so good at doing others. Right? There's stuff that you could do with... Well, you know, my friend smoked till he was 100, and he was fine.
• 41:01
Cool. Then there was something within his mitochondrial genetics that was gonna allow him to get away with that.
• 41:06
Roland: But he's also the outlier, and you don't wanna tempt fate trying to catch him. Exact... Exactly right. That may be the same
• 41:11
Dr. Rob DiMartino: for you, but it may not. You may smoke one cigarette and blow up that monoclonal DNA damage that you already have sitting on the cusp right there. And, I I think that's where, you know, a lot of the science and the testing needs to go. We need to be able to really evaluate that on a clinical level. We know it.
• 41:24
Right? But that's the stuff that they're doing with grant studies and big universities where they can able to see these things. When we're getting to the point where we can send somebody in and say, okay, what is this? And measure that out because we're knowing, let's say, at twenty nine percent, you're gonna be fine. At thirty percent, that's gonna account for type two diabetes.
• 41:39
Or or x y and z autoimmune disease or this autoimmune disease. It's it's always the coolest part because even then I'll I'll get a lot of influencers who will reach out to me now and say, hey. I love what you're doing. This is so awesome. Like, I...
• 41:49
This is what we do, I'm like, that's great. Tell me why that works. Right? Because I think that's so important. I think when we have the understanding of the why underneath the surface, it's great that it works and and go with that.
• 42:00
But the why underneath the surface all of a sudden starts taking the mysticism out of something that, you know, seems woo woo, like grounding. Oh, that seems super woo woo. Does it? Or does it mean that your mitochondrial function makes 10 to 12% more ATP and energy and 22 to 33% less inflammation when you ground? That's not woo woo.
• 42:17
That's hard science. Right? That... That's that's scientific data that they did. So it looks woo, but that's only because they're positioning it that way because if they didn't make it woo, you know, the physicists would trample everything.
• 42:28
Roland: But it's also back to common culture and understanding. If people don't look at themselves in it as an antenna, they'll never be able to understand that walking barefoot is plugging yourself back in to that which recharges us. Mhmm. Right? And it's electrons moving through a system that needs to be negatively charged so the water can be structured, so photons can move easier through the system, and coherence in the body is really just what health is as a practical pattern.
• 42:54
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. It's like anything else. Right? If you have great communication, right, if you have great communication in a marriage, you're you're probably gonna do pretty well. Mhmm.
• 43:01
Right? If you have great communication amongst amongst, you know, workers and and staff members, you're gonna probably do pretty well. Your body has great levels of communication, it... It's it's probably gonna do pretty well. And it's it's really our job to to ultimately...
• 43:13
It's designed for that. It's just our job not to screw it up.
• 43:16
Roland: Yeah. It's not... It's like... I I remember the story when I studied exercise for years that someone asked Michael Jordan's trainer, what's the most important thing that you do with Michael? He's like, I just try not to hurt him.
• 43:27
Yeah. It's the same thing when it comes to health. You don't need to add things. I long ago realized this. It's about taking away that which causes obstruction so things can flow effortlessly because the body's consciousness is gonna be smarter than any other person's brain ever is in knowing what to do.
• 43:43
But nowadays, we add this and we add that, and we have to do this, and this tool does this, and they need to take this supplement. In reality, if you get your fundamentals right,
• 43:53
Dr. Rob DiMartino: it it removes so much
• 43:55
Roland: of a need for things. And I also also wanna use that as a segue into something that I think you're incredibly gifted and strong in explaining. Thoughts are things. Emotions are things. We can't physically grab them, but you can experience them subjectively inside yourself.
• 44:11
The Western medical system really leaves no place for emotions, traumas, spiritual, psychic aspects of influence. How are those affecting our mitochondria? What are those doing to us Oh, yeah. And now the good and the bad ways.
• 44:29
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. No. There there... There's a there's a great amount of science coming out around this now, you know, which I think is fun. Just just to skip back really quickly because I wanna get into the emotion side so I think it's important.
• 44:37
But the ideology of fundamentals, right, everyone sees Michael Jordan and all these, like, amazing things he was able to do on the basketball firm. I grew up watching him. Right? And I just thought he was greatest basketball. It was my sport of choice to play.
• 44:47
  I like baseball.
• 44:48
Roland: Although you were a Knicks fan.
• 44:49
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. You know? We we we we tortured him for years.
• 44:53
Roland: But at at the same time I had to. I know. It's true.
• 44:56
Dr. Rob DiMartino: He tortured him for years. But at the at the same time, you know, you see those cool things that he did, but if you watch them practice, what is he practicing? He's practicing footwork. Mhmm. He's practicing keeping his fingers spread when he shoots the ball, right, how the ball comes up.
• 45:09
Right? These are very fundamental things. And when you're exceptionally good at fundamentals, then you could do cool spin moves Mhmm. And, you know, and then and the like. But, you know, people don't see the work that's done on the fundamental side that leads to that side of things.
• 45:22
Right? So the fundamental stuff of getting accurate sunlight, you making sure it's darned at night, staying away from these alien frequencies, that's super powerful. But, you know, at the end of the day, I... I've I've told people a million times, I I would take positive healthy relationships over a better... A great diet any day of the week and twice on Sunday
• 45:40
  Roland: Oh, yeah.
• 45:41
Dr. Rob DiMartino: In patient models.
• 45:41
Roland: If you have love and community and support in your life... I have a friend whose grandmother just passed. She smoked for forty five years. She ate nothing but sugar. She drank every day.
• 45:53
Mhmm. And she's like, if my younger sister dies before me, I'm gonna be pissed. Yeah. But that was the competition. That love, that that that rivalry kid, they both lived into their nineties.
• 46:02
  They did nothing right.
• 46:03
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Well, it's even purpose too. Yeah. A it's a weird purpose, but it is... It's it's still purpose, but it's it's... You know, I I I think it's it's one of those things.
• 46:10
You know, when I when I... Even when I teach this, when I teach this to doctors now, the one thing that I'll always tell them is, look. I I could teach you the physiology. I could teach you the science behind mitochondria, mitochondrial DNA. I could tell you who the players are in all this and how to interpret those patterns.
• 46:23
The one thing I cannot prepare you for is when patients come in with these chronic diseases, the pretty horrific emotional traumas that they will tell you that they experienced. Yep. Right? Because it is it
• 46:31
Roland: is always there. And so often, the the problem started shortly after a major life event, a trauma, a fracture in their reality.
• 46:42
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. And especially in autoimmune, we see that a lot because I I think this is misunderstood or not talked about enough is your entire immune system is set before you're 13. Right? So so, basically, once you're puberty, it's fully developed. That entire time is when you're developing white blood cells.
• 46:59
You're training them how to work. You're training them what's you. You're training them what's not you. Your body is learning all of those things at that time frame. So if you get an infection when you're 80, the white blood cells that you trained when you were somewhere between, like, zero and 13 is what's gonna be working on that infection.
• 47:15
Right? And if we get emotional trauma, especially in those early ages points of life, we know there's a direct correlation to, okay, that decreases the amount of immune output. And if that's enough, it basically is like you just don't have enough time to train your immune system the right way. Mhmm. So all of a sudden now later on in life, as we get a little bit more damage, you can get away with it maybe in the beginning because it's not enough damage that your immune system is stressed.
• 47:39
We we have enough troops that are trained okay enough to be able to get away with this.
• 47:42
Roland: As long as they're not storming the barracks, we could hold it together.
• 47:45
Dr. Rob DiMartino: But hell of a sudden, if a full scale war breaks out, you just don't have enough troops that are trained the right way to be able to handle this. And then we start freezing this as, oh, you know, your body is is dumb, and it's made a mistake, and it's attacking healthy tissue. It's like, no. It... It's it's none of those things.
• 48:01
Right? It's incredibly smart, and it's trying to repair cellular damage. Yeah. But your cellular damage is outpacing what your repair can basically do. And that that was where I came with the concept of energy debt was, right, we're we're breaking down faster than we're building up.
• 48:15
We're making less energy than what we're expending. Right? And it lets us into a debt cycle. It was just a simple analogy to explain fairly complex physics to somebody, but everyone was, well, that make that make sense, right, on on a basic level because everyone's dealt with, know, unfortunately, debt cycles and things like that. Yeah.
• 48:29
Roland: Well, I I tell everyone every... Energy is everything. And I mean, the energy enhancement system that this podcast is based on is all about creating coherence so the body can heal. Mhmm. You know, there's a a very nice quote that just totally reflects what you just said.
• 48:45
Doctor Zach Bush, I heard him say on a podcast one time, when our rate of injury exceeds our rate of repair, we get sick. And it's just... If anyone can take one thing from this episode, it doesn't matter what the sick is. It could be cancer, autoimmunity, cardiovascular disease, neurological degeneration. It's that pattern being expressed somewhere in the body.
• 49:06
Sure. Disease is complicated. Disease is disease is health is actually not
• 49:10
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Health is not that complicated. Right? Manifestations of diseases and and working backwards is complicated. And and cutting the timeline down for someone to get well. Yeah.
• 49:18
Right? Because they do a lot of those things. They'll say, you know, it takes somebody on average, like, seven years to try to solve a moderate style problem. That's a long time to be consistent and accurate and not have the... Basically, all the things in life that are arguably Kind of against Eight to 10%
• 49:31
Roland: of the average person's life.
• 49:32
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. You know, it... It's it's tough. Right? So so, yeah, and then so I never begrudge people for trying to do the major things that they could do, but it...
• 49:39
It's all of these things, and that's where I think frequency medicine becomes the next path. Because in the same way as, you know, technology is great, but it has its downsides, and we talk about EMF and things like that. It only makes sense that the way out is kind of harnessing that technology and that doesn't do it anyone... Especially along the lines of frequency of, okay. This is...
• 49:57
We can use frequency. We can use technology to make the human experience easier. Mhmm. It can make it worse. Yeah.
• 50:02
But we can use better. And as we do that Amazing. Yeah. And if we do that, all of a sudden, now we can take these timelines and we can shrink them down by, you know, using these things of what we know and and what they've known for a long time and now taking in and saying, okay. You know, here we are in 2026.
• 50:18
We got a lot more knowledge. We got a lot more technology. We got more and more available to us to take this knowledge together and link it up. And and how do you get somebody better? So even if they did have those major emotional traumas when they were younger, the cool part about it is, and they just did research on this, they can get all of that immune system stuff back that they lost even if they're older.
• 50:37
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 50:37
Dr. Rob DiMartino: They don't have to be in that range. So someone says, oh, wait. Well, I'm screwed. You know, that happened to me when I was younger, and now I'm not gonna able get... Nope.
• 50:43
That's not the case. That can be done.
• 50:45
  Roland: That can be healed.
• 50:46
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. That can be healed, and that could be changed. So it's just this ideology. And and especially, I I stay in autoimmune a lot because I I think it's it's probably the disease of our time. Right?
• 50:56
You know, it's growing at rates that are incredibly fast. It doesn't probably get its due time in the sun statistically because they always look at them as separate. Mhmm. Right? You know, cancer is always counted together.
• 51:06
Heart disease is always counted together. But if you did heart disease by, A fib or this type or that type or if, know, cancer is the different types, the numbers would look different. Autoimmune, they never count it as one big thing. If they did, it would be pretty much right up on the top of the list. But when when we look at that, it's it's just a coherence problem.
• 51:21
Mhmm. Right? Autoimmune is a physics based problem. Immune system disorders are physics based problems, which takes us right back to mitochondrial function. And...
• 51:30
But then we're treating them in a in a chemical model and then telling people, well, we don't know what causes this.
• 51:36
Roland: Yeah. We we give you the anti inflammatory, then we try to suppress the immune system to stop the actual act of it being promoted.
• 51:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: But And the crazy part about it is the anti inflammatory is doing what? It's squashing very specific inflammatory chemicals. So the next question is, where do those inflammatory chemicals come from? Well, they come from your immune system. Cool.
• 51:55
Where do they come from in your immune system? What part? Oh, the mitochondria? Why am I not shocked? Right?
• 52:01
So even the treatment that we have now that ultimately, you know, just treating symptoms and there's, you know, something to be set for that at a certain point. But if we trace it back, where does that come from? Well, that comes from my... Mitochondria generate dose. Wow.
• 52:14
What a weird what a weird coincidence that that would be. So explain me how it's not coming from mitochondrial function even when people wanna fight me on this, but they're like, no. It's inflammation. Right? Inflammation is like the one thing we all agree Like medical, Google, natural.
• 52:27
Yeah. But you don't just inflame for no purpose, which I don't inflame for mitochondrial function, and and that's where... But that's that's an electromagnetic containment issue. Right? We have to keep those mitochondria contained.
• 52:40
And if they don't and they're bacterial in origin, what happens if they damage? Doesn't your immune system read that like a bacterial infection? Yeah. It does. Right?
• 52:49
And we know this, and they've mapped all this out, but yet we're still sitting here telling people, jeez, we don't know this. We don't know what causes it. And, you know, I get all these kind of back. Like, we don't know. We don't know.
• 52:59
We don't know. And I read all these social media comments, and I I I try to make content around it. But I'm I'm telling you, sure, as we sit here and have written the papers and have them all up there, I'm like, look. Look at it. It It says it right there.
• 53:09
So you're either gonna be in the camp of you believe we don't know and you are powerless, or we absolutely do know and you have full control over things to do about this. It just depends which which camp you wanna be Mhmm. At this point now. Because actually the science is more backing of that side of what we do know versus this ideology of, hey. We we don't know.
• 53:27
There's just no chemical that we can use or I'd specifically identify saying that's the problem.
• 53:32
Roland: I think what they're probably actually saying is we don't know it through the bias of lens that I'm wanting to look through to answer my question because you say, how do we not know this? I guarantee you, if you told most medical professionals that white blood cells have mitochondria, they would have to be reminded of that.
• 53:48
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Oh,
• 53:48
Roland: yeah. Because we think about a cell. Think about a cell, which is a group of cells as a tissue, group of different combination of tissues as an organ. Oh, yeah. Livers have cells, so there's mitochondria.
• 54:00
Brains have cells, so there's mitochondria. But white blood cells are very mitochondrial dense. And if you have energy dysfunction in a very specific white blood cell that intervenes at a certain level of physiology, you know, it's like... I'm just gonna make up analogy on the spot. I hope this doesn't land poorly, but you wouldn't wanna hire a blind bouncer at a bar.
• 54:21
Right? Right. A white blood sandwich is functional. It's like, you know, you wouldn't wanna put Stevie Wonder as your bouncer at a bar checking IDs. Well,
• 54:29
Dr. Rob DiMartino: right, it's it's mitochondrial to mitochondria. Right? The mitochondria take damage. They send out signals. The mitochondria in those immune cells receive those signals, and then they're sending out the inflammation that's designed to not hurt, but to try to repair or heal.
• 54:41
  It's threatening.
• 54:42
Roland: Talking to itself. So it's
• 54:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: talking to itself. Right? And you're either believing it's just not, and it's just acting crazy
• 54:48
  Roland: Mhmm.
• 54:48
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Or it's doing this for a very specific logical reason. And, you know, ultimately, you know, it's why they say statistically by the time somebody finds out they have one autoimmune disease, they already have two other ones going on in their system somewhere. Fifty percent of
• 55:02
Roland: the time, there's already other autoimmune diseases. Fortunately, people collect them pretty easily.
• 55:06
Dr. Rob DiMartino: And then they have, well, I have five or I have six or I have four, whatever it may be. And it's again, that... That's... It's it's not if you're gonna get more. It's when.
• 55:14
Because if they're taking damage, if your mitochondria are taking damage, then I'll get people who say, well, you know, my mom didn't have anything, but I do. So if it's maternally inherited, you know, I'm not blaming your mom. That could be... You could start off with maybe a foot in a bucket, but it is perfectly capable of you destroying your model boundary in this lifetime all by yourself and starting that cycle. Right?
• 55:32
It doesn't have to be all mom. It could be all you right now just just driving these things. And, again, it all comes down to... One of my my favorite mentors always says, it is no longer survival of the fittest. It is survival of the wisest.
• 55:43
  Roland: We are
• 55:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: in a different time frame now. Like, you don't have to walk outside and look both ways to see if an animal's gonna kill you. You're not living in in physical danger all the time. But it is a decision making process now where the the choices that you make will determine the quality and the length of your life.
• 55:58
Roland: Then you need to know how to read the tea leaves of the now. You know, it's an interesting thought as you're talking about these things. I'm not an autoimmune specialist, but I've helped people with autoimmune conditions before. And we were talking earlier about emotions and things of nonphysical origin that drive these these processes, I've always noticed that someone with an autoimmune condition always at the root of something in their interpersonal dynamic with that relationship within themselves, it's a very poor sense of self. And think about this.
• 56:28
Right? Autoimmune is the body attacking itself. If you're lacking self love, if you're lacking self acceptance, if you can't move through the world in alignment with what resonates with you authentically, you see how the body could kind of get the signal that you're not all that worth protecting? Oh, yeah. Well, do you ever see that in your clinic?
• 56:48
Dr. Rob DiMartino: I think of... Yeah.
• 56:49
Roland: In a word shows up, it could be the the the meridian, the organ of a certain emotion, you know, like if it's Oh, yeah. If it's in the thyroid, it's self expression. They can't speak or they can't listen. Yeah. They can hear, but they can't listen.
• 57:01
I've always noticed that with people who have Hashimoto's, for example. Talking to them feels off cadence.
• 57:06
Dr. Rob DiMartino: It's usually something in the in the past. Yeah. Right? It's usually something old in the past that that kind of started and happened and kinda creates those scenarios. But the more disconnected that they get from frequency, from nature, and all of those different types of things, the more that that takes place.
• 57:23
So once they get disconnected from one side, it... You know, if we're not connected... Like, think of our bodies like a cell phone, like, it's always searching for a Wi Fi.
• 57:30
Roland: Yeah. I like that. Right? We wanna connect to
• 57:31
Dr. Rob DiMartino: something, and we're either gonna connect to something man made or something natural. Hopefully, it's something natural if you wanna be healthy. So if we connect to that, then we can connect to ourselves. Right? One phenomenon, and you may appreciate this from a segue, but it's it's...
• 57:43
I was always amazed that a lot of the times when I sat with patients who had autoimmune disease, it's like, man, they always had up... Not always. That's not fair, but they had a lot of partner issues. Right? Spouses weren't supportive, all those different types of things.
• 57:55
It was bad divorces and all those things. And we've always talked about the fact of, okay. Well, you know, smell matters. Right? When you're picking a partner, the smell matters, But it's your immune system that interprets that smell.
• 58:05
Mhmm. So if my immune system is not well, am I gonna interpret that smell correctly Mhmm. And pick the right person, or could I potentially pick the wrong person?
• 58:13
Roland: Interesting. Right? Because it's it's...
• 58:15
Dr. Rob DiMartino: But it still comes back to immune system cell function Yeah. And connection. So if we lose that connection to the big picture ideology, there's no chance we can have the connection internally. And it can be... The good big picture communication's bad.
• 58:26
The the low level communication inside the body is gonna be off as well too.
• 58:29
Roland: It's like a Russian doll, the fractalized It's just rules them
• 58:32
Dr. Rob DiMartino: out of control. I mean, it's... Again, do do you see people with clinical depression with vitamin d levels that are naturally occurring at 80?
• 58:40
Roland: They're usually the whitest people if they're Caucasian skin. Right? They'd never get in the sun.
• 58:43
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right. If if your vitamin d is high, like, it's really difficult to get to get those types of... To get those types of problems, and that's why people know us. They don't like go outside. You do do these different types of things.
• 58:54
And and, you know, my grandmother would say, go outside. Get fresh air. She didn't know why she was telling me those things. Right? She just thought it was Italian culture, folklore,
• 59:03
Roland: or whatever, but it it it It ain't wisdom. But it's innate wisdom.
• 59:05
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. It was the things that they knew to do to make themselves feel better.
• 59:09
Roland: I love that. And and and it shows, at least as I'm interpreting it, and I'm hoping everyone's getting this as well, health and disease are not one thing. It's a bunch of interconnected variables that all come together to create this idea of coherence. I like that communication analogy because if you have healthy communication in your relationships outside of you, you will have a better relationship inside of you with yourself. That pattern holds true because every aspect of the body is always talking to other aspects of the body.
• 59:40
Organs are communicating, tissues are communicating, cells are talking to each other, but also within themselves. Like, mitochondria are going back and forth with the nucleus going, hey. Is everything good? Now make a little bit more of this. Downregulate that.
• 59:52
The body's always trying to adapt to adjust to suit the situations it's being exposed to. And I always looked at illness as the body's conscious adaptation, whereas a lot of people look at illness as a as a mistake. Right. Body doesn't make a mistake. At least in my reality, I could be wrong.
• 1:00:11
I do. The body just adapts to what it is it has to do to find the most efficient way of getting its job of existing done. Yeah. Illnesses are compensations. I see the same thing.
• 1:00:23
And then when you get to plan z, fortunately, plan z is death.
• 1:00:27
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. It's it's just time. It's just time component down 100%. Of can you get there? I mean, we even know now mitochondria together...
• 1:00:34
Different mitochondria inside the cell because you gotta figure what you got, 37,000,000,000,000 cells. You got on average maybe 5,000 mitochondria.
• 1:00:40
Roland: Per cell. But a book will tell you it's one or two. Right?
• 1:00:42
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right. And you're you're like... And now they're saying, you know, you know, female eggs have 500,000 mitochondria.
• 1:00:48
Roland: And they have attrition as the woman ages.
• 1:00:50
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right. Per cell. I mean, talking about tremendous amount, but they line up. So, elos, in those 5,000 mitochondria inside the cell, they're not just, like, kinda randomly running all over the place. They wanna all join together and line themselves up so that they can form this cohesive unit wide so the communication Yeah.
• 1:01:06
Between the crystal and structure inside of them is smooth. A lot of the times I think it's it's down is, look, these are structural problems. Right? There is structural damage to a mitochondrial DNA. Can that be repaired?
• 1:01:17
Yes. Mhmm. But there is structural damage to this. There's no chemicals that we could take to make that change. Right?
• 1:01:23
The only thing in the world that's going to fix that is if your body has the right inputs, the right frequencies, the right signals to know how to repair that. Sure. Does it need the building blocks? Yeah. Absolutely.
• 1:01:32
But at the same time, just having the building blocks doesn't mean the worker show up to build the the house. Yeah. I love that. Right? You know, so it always has to to come from that.
• 1:01:40
Roland: Think about it again in life.
• 1:01:41
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Right? You see an older person walking around and say, my goodness. Look at them. They're so great. They're so...
• 1:01:46
You know, they're in their nineties. They're running out doing all these things. They're so full of life. Well, what makes them full of life? They have a lot of energy.
• 1:01:54
Right? What makes the other person not? Oh, they don't have a lot of energy laying there. Right? It always comes back to that.
• 1:01:58
It always is about the amount of energy that we could create. Your body solves a heck of a lot of problems if you give it the energy it needs. Right? If you have problems and somebody gave you Elon Musk money, could you solve a lot of the problems in your life? Yeah.
• 1:02:10
I could probably have other ones, but you might say it's the new ones. Yeah. But you're gonna solve a lot of the problems, Jeff. Well, think about the body. If you have an illness, I mean, do you think your body's gonna be able to solve those problems with a lot more energy?
• 1:02:19
That's the currency. Mhmm. But it always comes back to frequency, light, electrics, electromagnetics, water, all of those things. That... That's us.
• 1:02:30
Right? And that's the story of us. And I think that's why it's so exciting to talk about and why, you know, I get all excited about talking about it. And and I'm I'm... Have to keep reminding myself that we don't know this message, which is crazy.
• 1:02:42
We know all kinds of stuff. Right? Everyone knows the sports scores. And I like sports too. Don't get me wrong.
• 1:02:47
But, I mean, what's gonna be cooler about us than us? Right? What's gonna be cooler than the story of us and how we got here and how we stay here and how we have great experiences and great lives? Yeah. You know?
• 1:02:57
I know that... That's where he presented the input should be in.
• 1:02:59
Roland: Well, we're not given instruction manuals when we come into this world of how to operate this body that we we use as our, you know, mechanism of travel through this life time. Yeah. But I I would imagine that your energetic debt method is really all of this encompassed in in something that you package. So why don't we kind of round out with an explanation what that is?
• 1:03:17
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah. So energetic debt was an analogy. Again, I came up with it. Came up... Funny enough, came up with it watching reality television.
• 1:03:22
Television. Right? Hanging out with my wife, watching reality TV shows. I always found it fascinating, you know, that we fix these businesses. And I found it fascinating because it was the same exact analogy.
• 1:03:30
Right? They would... Every business they fix it, matter if it was restaurants or bars, they all did it the same way. Right? They would go in.
• 1:03:36
They would give a cash influx into the business. They would optimize their books, and they would clean up their systems, and then they would set them up. And as long as they had a good manager, they would be able to run that forever. And, like, it's basically the same thing inside the human body. We have to figure out why are you not making enough energy?
• 1:03:51
Where are you spending too much energy? And how are your systems running? Mhmm. Right? And so based on the problem that we have or based off of the physiology that we are presented with, we can work backwards and say, we're we're just trying...
• 1:04:04
We're not trying to fix disease. We're trying to reinstall life. K. These are the things that this is how they should work. These are fundamental first order principles that work for every single person.
• 1:04:12
Right? There's... Everyone makes energy off mitochondria. They all need to run off of oxygen. They all need to run off of magnetics.
• 1:04:18
They all need to run off of electrons. This is universal. So that's obviously where we start, and then we start moving somebody through the process. So it's taking this biophysics science approach, this ideology of mitochondria as the origin of disease, looking at the key leverage points that play the biggest there in those three buckets of, hey. Can we make enough?
• 1:04:40
Are we spending too much? Can we can we run these systems efficiently? Can we use this energy efficiently? Because you could have energy in there. An excess energy inside of the cell that can't get used, it's harmful.
• 1:04:50
Right? That's... Excess oxygen inside the system is harmful, and that's what sleep apnea is. Right? Apnea is not that we forgot how to breathe.
• 1:04:58
Right? That either you believe that you've been naturally selected to get out of here or your body's saying oxygen is hurting us, so we have to limit the amount that we're bringing in. Mhmm. Flooding them with more oxygen solves one problem and creates more. Mhmm.
• 1:05:11
So we just have to look at it within that bucket, and it's okay. How do we fix each part of these problems? How do we make sure your system can make enough? How do we make sure it's running with the biggest profit margins it could possibly run with, and you're not doing anything on accident that no expert told you that you gotta be careful of? Right?
• 1:05:26
People have no idea. They... Why sleep with my cell phone under my pillow? Right? And that's the same reaction.
• 1:05:31
And I have had patients tell me that fairly recently. I've got my whole chest on my lips like... And she's like, oh, I could tell by your reaction if that's bad. It is. And and she's like, well, I'll change
• 1:05:40
Roland: it. Great. Easy. Easy solution. Great.
• 1:05:44
Dr. Rob DiMartino: You know, because you never know
• 1:05:45
Roland: how that conversation's gonna go. It's like,
• 1:05:46
Dr. Rob DiMartino: oh, I'm happy to change that. Is that bad? Yes. It's very bad. We don't need to do that.
• 1:05:50
Okay. And then and then what are the leverage points? Because people work really hard to make themselves healthy. And I'm always impressed if patients come in, like, they have this laundry list of stuff that they tried. And I'm like, man, if you can do all of that, I'm gonna tell you can easily do the stuff that I'm gonna tell you to do because it is way simpler.
• 1:06:08
Right? If you're gonna meal plan like this and take all these different supplements and do all these things, I'm gonna make your life significantly easier. It's not to say that it's simple, but it is much more straightforward than this this answer of complexity because you're not gonna micromanage the body. Give it what it needs. It will do what it needs to do.
• 1:06:25
And I think that's the ideology of, you know, the body will be able to heal itself, but it really doesn't heal itself unless it's stuck in a negative loop. And that's just what we can use frequency to break people out of.
• 1:06:35
Roland: That's a beautiful message. It's it's so coherently put together. And what's hard, I would imagine, on your end is to describe this as a general concept because the person needs to be in front of you to make it a specific application. So if people are interested in finding out more about you, wanting to come see you, I don't know if you're seeing patients.
• 1:06:53
  Dr. Rob DiMartino: Yeah.
• 1:06:54
Roland: If you do stuff at distance, us more about where we can find, you know, the great wondrous world of Doctor.
• 1:06:59
Dr. Rob DiMartino: Oh, goodness. Yeah. So so we have a lot of social media stuff out there. It's all at the energetic debt method or the clinic is Superior Health Solutions. It's in Las Vegas.
• 1:07:07
So the website is shslasvegas.com. We have a... That website was really built to be an information hub. Someone's like, I want more information on this. Cool.
• 1:07:15
We have videos. I mean, we have hours and hours of videos talking about the nitty gritty. And, again, we talk high level here, but, you know, what are those leverage points? What are these important hormones? What is the mitochondrial functions?
• 1:07:26
And I have stuff that's simple, and I have, like, the hardcore technical explanations for the people who really want the scientific technical side. So the websites that host information, we have podcasts that we do that we put all this information out on there. You know, we're putting information out on socials. You can follow us there. It's just a matter of trying to get this information out because we we want people to be empowered.
• 1:07:47
Right now, they're getting their power taken away health wise, and and and the system is not built to be able to solve these types of problems. But there is a pathway out of this that is actually fairly fairly straightforward and incredibly scientific. It's not woo. It's important for me to... For it not to be woo.
• 1:08:04
Roland: Yeah. Yeah. It... It's very much the science of yesterday is coming back. Yeah.
• 1:08:10
Because these things, I believe, have been known about for a long time. They just have not been emphasized. Yeah. So, doctor Rob, you... The work you're doing is incredible.
• 1:08:17
I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Thank you so much for being with us today. It's been a pleasure.
• 1:08:22
Dr. Rob DiMartino: It's a blast, man. Thanks for having me. Alright.
• 1:08:24
Roland: All the best, guys. We'll see you next time. Thank you as always.
