- 0:04Speaker 1: We're like officially kicking off John Jane Rich spooky season.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I mean, it is Halloween time. We get into scary stories,
- 0:10Speaker 1: whether it's ghosts or not ghosts. We want to know
- 0:12Speaker 1: what's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you. It
- 0:17Speaker 1: doesn't have to be ghosts. It could be, you know, murderers.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It could be kidnappers.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Trapped in a freezer.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Who knows? Who knows? Chad, good morning. What's the scariest
- 0:26Speaker 1: thing that's ever happened to you?
- 0:29Speaker 3: When I was a kid, I was probably like seven
- 0:31Speaker 3: years old or something like that. We lived in a
- 0:35Speaker 3: huge house and it was an old, old house. It
- 0:38Speaker 3: was built in like the 1900s.
- 0:41Speaker 4: And for a little while, my parents' bedroom was getting
- 0:44Speaker 4: renovated and they were sleeping in the room next to ours.
- 0:51Speaker 3: And there was a space where I could, like my
- 0:55Speaker 3: sister and I, you know, I would wake up and
- 0:57Speaker 3: I would look at them And one night we're sleeping.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I woke up to look at my parents and I
- 1:05Speaker 3: saw them in bed and a figure walked by in
- 1:08Speaker 3: between the divider between our rooms. And I remember seeing that.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Now you're seven. Eh, lame story.
- 1:16Speaker 5: In fact, I would argue you see more spirits when
- 1:20Speaker 5: you're young. I agree. I agree.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Let me rephrase it. What's the scariest thing that's ever
- 1:24Speaker 1: happened to you as an adult?
- 1:27Speaker 2: Well, when you're a child, though, what happened to you?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Don't discount that. Did you freeze? Did it see you?
- 1:31Speaker 2: Did the shadow look and see you or no?
- 1:34Speaker 3: I mean, it just walked by very, it just passed
- 1:37Speaker 3: by very slowly. And then that's, you know, that's all
- 1:41Speaker 3: I can remember. I just I remember that like my
- 1:44Speaker 3: entire life. I definitely remember just seeing my parents sleeping
- 1:50Speaker 3: and then that figure just walking by in front of us.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I was seven years old, as you said, but the
- 1:59Speaker 3: house was very old. There were a lot of weird
- 2:01Speaker 3: things that kind of happened in it. And yeah, I mean,
- 2:05Speaker 3: that was terrifying.
- 2:06Speaker 2: Did you tell your parents?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I'm 39. I definitely told my parents the next day.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And they were like, eh, you're seven.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:12Speaker 2: They buzzed him?
- 2:14Speaker 1: Eh, you're seven.
- 2:14Speaker 2: There's no ghosts.
- 2:15Speaker 1: I had something similar like that happen when I stayed
- 2:17Speaker 1: at my grandparents' house. I went over to my grandma
- 2:19Speaker 1: to wake her up, and instead I saw a little
- 2:21Speaker 1: bowl next to her bed, and it was all her teeth.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I was like, forget it. I'm not going to wake
- 2:27Speaker 1: them up. All right, Chad. Thanks for calling in, man.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Thank you, guys.
- 2:31Speaker 6: All right.
- 2:32Speaker 1: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Haley,
- 2:35Speaker 1: good morning.
- 2:36Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 2:37Speaker 1: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 2:41Speaker 8: I've always been kind of a wimp when it comes
- 2:43Speaker 8: to Halloween stuff. And I was dating this guy who
- 2:47Speaker 8: really loved, you know, all the scary movies, haunted houses,
- 2:50Speaker 8: all of it. So he dragged me to one with
- 2:52Speaker 8: his friends. And it was like one of those big
- 2:54Speaker 8: production ones, right? Like really, really creepy. And we're going
- 2:59Speaker 8: through the thing and the power goes out.
- 3:02Speaker 5: Did somebody like actually come and grab you?
- 3:05Speaker 9: So nobody touched me.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Not part of, not part.
- 3:09Speaker 9: Of the part of it.
- 3:10Speaker 7: No, no.
- 3:11Speaker 8: Like, like there was an electrical issue and the whole
- 3:13Speaker 8: power just like shut down.
- 3:15Speaker 9: All the lights went out. It was completely dark.
- 3:19Speaker 2: That is pretty creepy.
- 3:19Speaker 9: I think anytime the power goes out, even if it's
- 3:23Speaker 9: just in a storm.
- 3:24Speaker 1: And you kind of already know why the power goes out,
- 3:25Speaker 1: it's creepy. That happened to me this morning. I was
- 3:27Speaker 1: actually gonna bring that up this morning.
- 3:28Speaker 9: The power went out?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I was on the treadmill this morning listening to
- 3:31Speaker 1: our show, our podcast, early, early this morning, probably 3.30
- 3:34Speaker 1: in the morning. And it was really windy. And there
- 3:37Speaker 1: was this huge bang. And then all the power went
- 3:39Speaker 1: out and the treadmill stopped. And then it turned, all
- 3:42Speaker 1: the power went back on. But the treadmill, I had
- 3:44Speaker 1: to turn it back on later. And then my wife comes,
- 3:47Speaker 1: are you okay?
- 3:48Speaker 10: Are you okay?
- 3:49Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, I'm fine.
- 3:50Speaker 5: She was worried about you.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Oh, I know that. I know that. But that's how
- 3:54Speaker 1: scary it was. I was literally going to say, what's
- 3:57Speaker 1: the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? That was
- 3:58Speaker 1: going to be one of my top three was what
- 4:00Speaker 1: happened this morning because it did scare me.
- 4:02Speaker 9: You know, it's very, when the power goes out and
- 4:03Speaker 9: you're not expecting it.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 4:05Speaker 2: So we get it.
- 4:05Speaker 8: If you're around a bunch of monsters.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 4:09Speaker 1: All right. That's good. That's good. That's good. Thanks for
- 4:12Speaker 1: calling it Haley.
- 4:13Speaker 9: Yeah, thank you.
- 4:14Speaker 5: I have a scary thing.
- 4:15Speaker 11: 877-937-1047.
- 4:15Speaker 1: What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you? Okay,
- 4:18Speaker 1: go ahead, Peyton.
- 4:20Speaker 5: The very first apartment that I was, like, living by
- 4:23Speaker 5: myself in, I was asleep one night. And I had
- 4:27Speaker 5: my very first, like, night terror, like, maybe two or
- 4:30Speaker 5: three days before that. Like, when I woke up and I, like,
- 4:33Speaker 5: my body couldn't get up.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It was really freaky.
- 4:35Speaker 5: But then, like, three days later, I'm asleep and I
- 4:38Speaker 5: got woken up. to somebody like in my hallway like
- 4:41Speaker 5: running up and down the halls like screaming bloody murder
- 4:45Speaker 5: like get off of me leave me alone get off
- 4:47Speaker 5: of me and I could hear like the grunts of
- 4:49Speaker 5: like a man like following her and so I got
- 4:52Speaker 5: scared so I called 911 and I was like there
- 4:55Speaker 5: is like something going on outside of my apartment I
- 4:57Speaker 5: thought that this woman was like about to be killed
- 4:59Speaker 5: by somebody I call the police. They come and knock
- 5:02Speaker 5: on the door. They tell me like no one was there,
- 5:04Speaker 5: but they're going to come back and follow up the
- 5:06Speaker 5: next morning to pull the cameras. They pulled the cameras
- 5:09Speaker 5: and nobody was running in the apartment. Nobody was there.
- 5:12Speaker 5: There was no activity on my floor for like four
- 5:15Speaker 5: hours that night.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But you heard it.
- 5:17Speaker 12: I know.
- 5:17Speaker 5: I couldn't go back to sleep. I remember I woke up.
- 5:19Speaker 5: I called my mom crying. I didn't know what to do.
- 5:22Speaker 5: I'm literally getting goosebumps right now because I know something
- 5:25Speaker 5: was out there.
- 5:25Speaker 10: I know.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You called your mom after?
- 5:27Speaker 5: After I called 911 because I couldn't go back to sleep.
- 5:29Speaker 1: It could have been a dream.
- 5:31Speaker 2: It could have been a dream.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It could have been a dream.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Because you're almost half awake there. But it was so real.
- 5:36Speaker 1: No, I had a dream the other day very similar
- 5:38Speaker 1: like that. I was interviewing The Rock. How is that similar?
- 5:42Speaker 1: Because it was like so real and then our equipment
- 5:44Speaker 1: didn't work. Well, that's not, that's not. And I'm trying
- 5:46Speaker 1: to interview The Rock. I'm trying to interview The Rock
- 5:48Speaker 1: and I'm getting all these great soundbites and great video
- 5:50Speaker 1: and nothing works. And I woke up and I was
- 5:53Speaker 1: so pissed because I couldn't believe it. And then I
- 5:55Speaker 1: was like, oh, but I swear to you, we interviewed
- 5:58Speaker 1: The Rock and nothing worked. So a same story as
- 6:04Speaker 1: Peyton's except hers involves someone getting killed.
- 6:06Speaker 2: So real.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It was really scary.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Okay.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Last night, John Jay, I dreamed that you, me, Kyle
- 6:11Speaker 2: Peyton were at a karaoke night hosted by Peter Griffin
- 6:14Speaker 2: and we're having the best time.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Oh, that's fun.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Who's going to come up and sing love shack?
- 6:21Speaker 1: What's the scariest things ever happened to you? And by
- 6:23Speaker 1: the way, a lot of times when we get into
- 6:24Speaker 1: stuff like this, we put rules on it. Like, well, hey,
- 6:26Speaker 1: don't do that. No, I want it to be. It's
- 6:29Speaker 1: got to be scary. Something scary.
- 6:31Speaker 5: Unless you're a kid.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. When you're seven, it's like, whatever. I mean,
- 6:38Speaker 1: as an adult, I want to know, did you get kidnapped?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Did you get thrown in the trunk of a car?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Did someone put a knife to your throat? I mean,
- 6:45Speaker 1: I want it to be like that. Were you trapped
- 6:48Speaker 1: in the poop cruise? You could have been on a
- 6:49Speaker 1: freaking Netflix reality show based on what you went through,
- 6:52Speaker 1: you know?
- 6:53Speaker 11: 877-937-1047.
- 6:53Speaker 1: What's the scariest thing that ever happened to you? What's
- 6:55Speaker 1: the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 6:57Speaker 2: Katie, good morning.
- 6:59Speaker 9: Hi, good morning.
- 7:09Speaker 10: Hi, what happened?
- 7:21Speaker 12: Okay, so I have a food truck with my husband,
- 7:25Speaker 12: and we were out in cells on the reservation, and
- 7:29Speaker 12: my husband, he's like half Native American, so he kept
- 7:32Speaker 12: on joking with me and saying, oh, there's skinwalkers out here,
- 7:34Speaker 12: there's skinwalkers. And so we were driving home, and it
- 7:37Speaker 12: was pitch dark. We had our brights on, and out
- 7:39Speaker 12: of nowhere, a giant cow.
- 7:41Speaker 10: Popped out, and we almost hit it.
- 7:44Speaker 7: And then we never saw the cow again.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. That's a jump scare.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 7:49Speaker 10: It's a real-life jump scare.
- 7:51Speaker 12: It's a skinwalker.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Oh, like the cow. Oh, I get it. It's transformed. Yeah, wow.
- 7:57Speaker 12: Yeah, he was saying it was a person, that it
- 7:59Speaker 12: wasn't really a cow because of the spirits out there
- 8:02Speaker 12: or something.
- 8:03Speaker 9: He was feeling a bad spirit.
- 8:04Speaker 10: It was crazy.
- 8:06Speaker 1: That is scary. Thank you, Katie. Thank you. Javier, scariest
- 8:09Speaker 1: thing that's ever happened to you. What do you got?
- 8:14Speaker 6: So when I was a kid, there was a, like
- 8:18Speaker 6: my family would do fish fries every weekend and everything
- 8:21Speaker 6: like that. Almost every weekend. And, you know, we would have,
- 8:24Speaker 6: I'd be playing with all my other friends and all
- 8:27Speaker 6: the kids and whatnot. And so we played hide and
- 8:31Speaker 6: go seek and there's, you know, big backyard, two side streets.
- 8:35Speaker 6: areas in the backyard and on one side was my
- 8:38Speaker 6: dad's office and nobody really wanted to go over there
- 8:41Speaker 6: because it's kind of creepy but I did because I
- 8:43Speaker 6: was like alright this will be a great place to
- 8:46Speaker 6: hide but as I'm going over there and there's motion
- 8:50Speaker 6: sensor lights they didn't go on right so I was
- 8:54Speaker 6: going towards the garage and there was like this shadowy
- 8:58Speaker 6: figure that did not represent anybody at the party whatsoever
- 9:03Speaker 6: And then I just started feeling it coming towards me,
- 9:07Speaker 6: like almost having a hand out trying to grab me. And, like,
- 9:11Speaker 6: I don't know how it happened, but then the motion
- 9:15Speaker 6: sensor lights trip off or trip. And so then this
- 9:18Speaker 6: entity is gone, right? And then later that night, I
- 9:25Speaker 6: just had this weird, weird feeling outside my bedroom window.
- 9:29Speaker 6: And so the next morning I wake up and there's
- 9:31Speaker 6: this huge crack. in the window.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Something tried to get in.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Yeah, seriously.
- 9:38Speaker 6: So fast forward to me moving to Gilbert, um, just
- 9:43Speaker 6: another normal day, whatever. And at night I just felt
- 9:46Speaker 6: this weird feeling again. And then the next morning I
- 9:49Speaker 6: wake up, there's another crack in the window.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Whoa.
- 9:53Speaker 6: So, this was Tempe to Gilbert. And then we moved
- 9:59Speaker 6: again in Gilbert to another house and just going about
- 10:04Speaker 6: my day, whatever. And I felt this weird, weird feeling again.
- 10:09Speaker 6: And then the next morning I woke up and there's
- 10:11Speaker 6: another crack in the window. So this thing is following
- 10:14Speaker 6: me at this point. This is the third house.
- 10:17Speaker 1: And then.
- 10:19Speaker 6: A couple years later, when I moved to Chandler, I
- 10:22Speaker 6: was living in a two-story house, right? Same kind of situation.
- 10:26Speaker 6: This time, you know, we had a party with my friends.
- 10:28Speaker 6: I'm like in my 20s at this point. And being
- 10:31Speaker 6: on the second story, I'm like, okay, cool, whatever. Nothing's
- 10:35Speaker 6: going to bother me up here. Nope. Still felt it.
- 10:38Speaker 6: And then the next morning, there was another crack in
- 10:40Speaker 6: the window.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I was on the second floor.
- 10:43Speaker 6: That is crazy.
- 10:44Speaker 1: It was weird.
- 10:46Speaker 6: So, and then fast forward a couple other years, I
- 10:49Speaker 6: have my own apartment in Tempe and, you know, again,
- 10:53Speaker 6: having friends over. And then that night, just scary kind
- 10:57Speaker 6: of feeling. And I woke up again and there's another
- 11:01Speaker 6: crack in the window. So that's like five times, right?
- 11:02Speaker 1: You need to move the West side.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I think that's a problem. They use better windows. They
- 11:06Speaker 2: use Anderson windows and doors there. Some sort of cleansing
- 11:10Speaker 2: or something.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Yeah, well, I just bought my house three years ago now.
- 11:15Speaker 6: All the windows are good.
- 11:16Speaker 11: Good.
- 11:17Speaker 2: So far.
- 11:17Speaker 1: They didn't want you to rent. Maybe.
- 11:21Speaker 11: No.
- 11:21Speaker 2: There's a mortgage guy?
- 11:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Going the extra mile?
- 11:25Speaker 6: I was just telling Dylan, I was like, I hope
- 11:28Speaker 6: me talking about this on the radio doesn't, you know...
- 11:32Speaker 6: Spark it up again.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Invite him back over.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 11:34Speaker 2: It's weird that you feel the presence, though. Maybe we
- 11:37Speaker 2: should put him on with Wendy the witch when she
- 11:39Speaker 2: comes on.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Yeah, dude. You know what? Hold on. Hold on, Javier.
- 11:41Speaker 1: We're going to have a witch on Wednesday, and she
- 11:43Speaker 1: can get rid of those things. Hold on.
- 11:45Speaker 9: Hold on.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Will you get Javier's number? Whitney, good morning. What is
- 11:49Speaker 1: your scariest thing that ever happened to you?
- 11:53Speaker 6: Whitney.
- 11:55Speaker 5: I'm Whitney.
- 11:55Speaker 7: Yes.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Hi.
- 11:56Speaker 6: Hi.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Sorry about that.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Scary thing.
- 11:58Speaker 3: Okay. Okay.
- 11:59Speaker 13: Scariest ever.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Okay.
- 12:00Speaker 11: I'm about 19 years old and my buddy and I
- 12:02Speaker 11: are driving back from Alaska to Oregon for college and
- 12:05Speaker 11: I have a horse. So I'm bringing my horse along.
- 12:08Speaker 11: So as you're driving through Canada in the middle of nowhere,
- 12:10Speaker 11: and this is pre-cell phone days because I'm older, right?
- 12:13Speaker 11: You end up in the middle of nowhere and you
- 12:15Speaker 11: know you have to stop wherever there's some place that's
- 12:17Speaker 11: horse friendly. Meaning we showed up at this hotel that
- 12:20Speaker 11: was supposed to be able to get a room at
- 12:22Speaker 11: and put our horse in a round pen and sleep
- 12:24Speaker 11: through the night. We show up after 14 hours of
- 12:27Speaker 11: long driving and this hotel looks like it's half shut down.
- 12:29Speaker 11: Like tourist season's over, nobody's available except for this one
- 12:33Speaker 11: fifth wheel trailer that has obviously got people in it.
- 12:37Speaker 11: So we park, put the horse in the pen, go
- 12:39Speaker 11: over to this trailer and say, hey, we're here. Can
- 12:41Speaker 11: we get a night, you know, get a night, you know,
- 12:43Speaker 11: a room for the night? And they say, oh, well,
- 12:47Speaker 11: you're going to have to go see Larry. He's in
- 12:48Speaker 11: that offshoot building over there. That's the only one we're
- 12:50Speaker 11: using now. And this building looks abandoned. It is black
- 12:53Speaker 11: as black, not a light on. And I said, and
- 12:56Speaker 11: where's Larry? And they said, go through the doors, go
- 12:58Speaker 11: down to the basement, and it's.
- 12:59Speaker 2: The end of the hall. What?
- 13:01Speaker 3: Yeah, okay.
- 13:02Speaker 13: So we go, okay, let's go. So we go and
- 13:06Speaker 13: we walk down the stairs and we walk.
- 13:08Speaker 11: Down and it's like a laundry room. So it's very
- 13:10Speaker 11: vacuous and open, which you don't know like what's in there.
- 13:14Speaker 13: But all I can see is at the end of
- 13:15Speaker 13: the hall is this.
- 13:16Speaker 11: Light and it looks like a door kind of cracked
- 13:18Speaker 11: open and you can hear a TV running and you
- 13:20Speaker 11: think Larry's down there. So I'm like, Hey Larry, Larry,
- 13:24Speaker 11: we're walking Larry slow. And we get a little closer
- 13:28Speaker 11: and I'm like, What the is that? And it's a
- 13:32Speaker 11: hand on the ground and the door is going boom, boom.
- 13:37Speaker 11: against it like the wind is blowing it into the
- 13:40Speaker 11: hand laying on the ground and i'm like larry and
- 13:44Speaker 11: my friend tony says is that a hand and.
- 13:47Speaker 13: I'm like oh my god it's larry we're like oh
- 13:50Speaker 13: my god we're gonna die we're in this black no
- 13:53Speaker 13: light turned on except for this hallway like that looks
- 13:55Speaker 13: like a shining and we're running out the thing screaming
- 13:58Speaker 13: bloody murder literally climbing over.
- 14:00Speaker 11: Each other leaping out the stairs.
- 14:02Speaker 13: Climbing and screaming up we ran all the way across
- 14:05Speaker 13: the parking lot to this fifth wheel and we're like
- 14:08Speaker 13: larry's dead and they're like is it just a hand
- 14:14Speaker 13: and i said they were like.
- 14:14Speaker 11: Wait what do you mean i go there's a hand
- 14:16Speaker 11: on the ground and.
- 14:17Speaker 14: There's like white noise and there's like larry's dead he
- 14:21Speaker 14: won't move we got really close and it was really
- 14:23Speaker 14: scary and he wouldn't but.
- 14:23Speaker 11: We wouldn't respond and then They're like, wait a minute,
- 14:27Speaker 11: was it just a hand? I'm like, what the hell
- 14:29Speaker 11: do you mean, was it just a hand?
- 14:31Speaker 10: Yes, it's a hand.
- 14:32Speaker 13: It's a hand like this, dead on the ground.
- 14:35Speaker 11: And he goes, oh, that's just Larry.
- 14:38Speaker 10: He likes to scare us sometimes.
- 14:40Speaker 14: That's probably his latest joke. And I was like, and
- 14:43Speaker 14: both of us were so scared that we, remember, this
- 14:47Speaker 14: is pre-cell phone days. It's not like you can run
- 14:49Speaker 14: and call mom or the Royal Canadian Mounties.
- 14:51Speaker 2: But how did he get just a hand on the ground?
- 14:54Speaker 3: How?
- 14:54Speaker 1: Well, it's one of those.
- 14:58Speaker 4: Fake hands.
- 14:58Speaker 1: Fake hands.
- 14:59Speaker 6: Oh, Larry.
- 15:00Speaker 11: Larry.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Oh, Larry.
- 15:02Speaker 9: Oh, Larry.
- 15:03Speaker 13: And then, so, we ended up scooping the.
- 15:05Speaker 11: Crap out of the back of the trailer. Literally, my
- 15:07Speaker 11: horses stood there for 14 hours.
- 15:08Speaker 9: We scooped the crap out of the back of the trailer,
- 15:10Speaker 9: shared one stall of.
- 15:11Speaker 11: The thing for the next five days we had to
- 15:13Speaker 11: drive through Canada because.
- 15:15Speaker 14: We were so scared.
- 15:16Speaker 6: We thought we were going to die.
- 15:17Speaker 2: It was the worst.
- 15:18Speaker 13: Worst hotel life.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Freaking Larry. That is a good one.
- 15:24Speaker 9: I don't normally call in, but I was like.
- 15:26Speaker 1: No, I'm glad you did. That's a great story. Thank
- 15:28Speaker 1: you so much for sharing that with us.
- 15:29Speaker 6: Hold on.
- 15:29Speaker 1: We'll set you up with some Wicked Ball tickets, too.
- 15:31Speaker 1: That'd be great. That's great.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Sabi.
- 15:33Speaker 10: So I have two ghost experiences that connect in a way.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:37Speaker 10: So the first time I had my niece with me
- 15:40Speaker 10: sleeping in the living room.
- 15:41Speaker 9: This is here in Arizona.
- 15:43Speaker 4: And.
- 15:44Speaker 10: We were sleeping in the living room, and I have
- 15:45Speaker 10: the TV that's behind us, and it's dark, and she's
- 15:49Speaker 10: facing it. And she just wakes up and says, the
- 15:53Speaker 10: man keeps staring at us. And I'm like, what are
- 15:56Speaker 10: you talking about? The second time, it's the same place.
- 15:59Speaker 9: It's all connected.
- 16:01Speaker 10: It's me and my mom, and I have a newborn,
- 16:03Speaker 10: and she's in the other room. We're not watching TV,
- 16:06Speaker 10: but we're just sitting there. And all of a sudden,
- 16:09Speaker 10: we see This man walked across the TV, like going
- 16:12Speaker 10: into my kid's room. And I freak out. I'm telling
- 16:15Speaker 10: my mom and my baby daddy, go check on her. Like,
- 16:19Speaker 10: what is that?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Go.
- 16:20Speaker 10: And nobody would go. So I had to get up
- 16:22Speaker 10: and go. And I'm scared both these times. And I
- 16:25Speaker 10: love ghosts. So I think that's the scariest thing that
- 16:28Speaker 10: happened to me.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Was there a man? Did you follow the man? There
- 16:31Speaker 1: was nobody there.
- 16:32Speaker 10: But my niece had seen it. My daughter would look
- 16:35Speaker 10: at random things and start smiling. The apartments are still there,
- 16:39Speaker 10: but I don't live there.
- 16:40Speaker 1: That's pretty scary. And you saw it. And the fact
- 16:42Speaker 1: that you say you love ghosts, that's weird. But okay, good.
- 16:45Speaker 9: Yes.
- 16:45Speaker 10: I mean, that's not the only experience, but that's the scariest.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I don't like it. I don't like it at all.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Thank you, Sabi. Thank you. Adriana, scariest thing that's ever
- 16:53Speaker 1: happened to you. What do you got?
- 16:54Speaker 7: I'm looking straight out the wall, washing dishes, and I'm
- 16:57Speaker 7: looking through my window straight out the back patio. And
- 16:59Speaker 7: then I see the image of this, like, face is.
- 17:03Speaker 7: That is probably the shadow of the wall. And I
- 17:06Speaker 7: put it on my Instagram because it's great. I'm like,
- 17:08Speaker 7: please tell me I'm not crazy. And you all can
- 17:10Speaker 7: see the faces. And it looks like several faces lined up.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Scary as hell. Like Halloween stuff. I screamed when I
- 17:19Speaker 7: saw them because I'm like, this is evil. It's horrible.
- 17:22Speaker 7: You guys get the chicken out. To me, it's horrible.
- 17:24Speaker 2: You're going to send it to us?
- 17:25Speaker 1: What's your Instagram?
- 17:26Speaker 7: Yeah, we need to see it. Mama Cravings Kitchen.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Oh, yum.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That's all Paige is concerned about is snacks. What kind
- 17:35Speaker 2: of snacks?
- 17:35Speaker 7: Remember, I had told you guys I was going to
- 17:38Speaker 7: teach you how to make flour tortillas.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Oh, yes.
- 17:41Speaker 1: All right, send it to us because I'm having a
- 17:43Speaker 1: problem finding it. Thanks, Adriana.
- 17:45Speaker 10: Oh, wait.
- 17:46Speaker 7: And then I had the shortest.
- 17:47Speaker 10: Job in the world.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Okay, what's your short job?
- 17:49Speaker 7: I worked at a restaurant for like five minutes.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Okay.
- 17:55Speaker 7: The guy knew that I love cooking and stuff, and
- 17:58Speaker 7: my friend told him, like, oh, hi, Adriana.
- 18:00Speaker 1: She's a great cook.
- 18:00Speaker 7: I was younger and stuff. I went over there, and
- 18:04Speaker 7: he's like, let me show you around. You can start today.
- 18:06Speaker 7: And we're walking around, and he's showing me around, and
- 18:08Speaker 7: I see how they're cooking, like, the food, and it's, like,
- 18:10Speaker 7: canned beans. And I'm like, oh, I'm not going to.
- 18:14Speaker 7: So I texted my friend and told her, can you
- 18:17Speaker 7: just call me and just, like, follow along? So my
- 18:19Speaker 7: friend called me, and I'm like, oh, my God.
- 18:21Speaker 11: Oh, no way.
- 18:21Speaker 10: I'm on my way.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 18:23Speaker 10: I have to leave.
- 18:24Speaker 7: My friend has an emergency. I'm like, I'm not going
- 18:26Speaker 7: to work for a restaurant that makes, like, canned beans.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Offensive.
- 18:32Speaker 2: That's offensive. Okay.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Thanks, Adriana.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Hi, Stephanie. What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
- 18:40Speaker 9: I was driving home after the bars closed in San Diego,
- 18:44Speaker 9: and my car was breaking down on the freeway. So
- 18:48Speaker 9: I was able to get over to the side of
- 18:50Speaker 9: the freeway, and as I was on the phone with
- 18:52Speaker 9: Automobile Club waiting for like a tow truck to come,
- 18:56Speaker 9: a white van pulls off the side of the freeway
- 19:00Speaker 9: right in front of my car on the shoulder. And
- 19:03Speaker 9: a man got.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Out of the car.
- 19:05Speaker 9: And came over to my doors and was trying to
- 19:08Speaker 9: open my doors while I was on the phone with AAA.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yikes. He was trying to kidnap whoever was in there.
- 19:15Speaker 7: Oh, my God.
- 19:16Speaker 9: I was freaking out. And poor guy, the dispatcher on
- 19:19Speaker 9: the phone, poor guy. He didn't know what to do.
- 19:21Speaker 9: And I'm like, get somebody to call the police.
- 19:24Speaker 10: Please just do this. And while I.
- 19:26Speaker 9: Was on the phone with him and this man was
- 19:28Speaker 9: still trying to open my doors... A CHP officer happened
- 19:33Speaker 9: to be randomly pulling over somebody on the freeway, and
- 19:36Speaker 9: they stopped right behind me. And as they were pulling
- 19:41Speaker 9: over and the lights were flashing, the man turned around
- 19:45Speaker 9: and ran back to his van and drove away.
- 19:47Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:48Speaker 1: That's what I'm talking about. That's terrifying.
- 19:52Speaker 9: It was, yes. As soon as they drove away and
- 19:55Speaker 9: the police officer was done with writing his tickets, I
- 19:58Speaker 9: got out of the car, and I went back to
- 20:00Speaker 9: the police officer, and I just begged him. I was crying,
- 20:03Speaker 9: and I just begged him, please don't leave me, please
- 20:05Speaker 9: don't leave me. And I told him what happened, and
- 20:07Speaker 9: he goes, I saw that van. I thought I was
- 20:09Speaker 9: with you. And I'm like, no, absolutely not.
- 20:12Speaker 1: What's terrifying is that there's people like that. Like that
- 20:15Speaker 1: dude was driving around probably looking for that to kidnap you,
- 20:19Speaker 1: to keep you in his basement.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Geez, Stephanie.
- 20:22Speaker 9: Or whatever.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:23Speaker 11: Wow. Terrifying.
- 20:25Speaker 9: Absolutely terrifying. And the thing is that I had just,
- 20:27Speaker 9: it was when cell phones were just coming out. So, again,
- 20:29Speaker 9: it was a long time ago. I had just gotten
- 20:31Speaker 9: my cell phone like the week before.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Thanks for calling, Stephanie. Crazy, crazy stories. We're going to
- 20:36Speaker 1: get into this all week.
