- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: My name is Elise Decine, spiritual mentor, breastwork practitioner, and owner and CEO of Elise Breed.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: For many years, our consciousness has been hijacked by societal and cultural programming, religion, the media, and familial and ancestral trauma.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Right now, during this epic time in history, people are waking up, realizing who they really are, and reclaiming the pieces of their consciousness that they unknowingly gave away.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: This podcast is an exploration of how so many spectacular humans are leading the way in exiting the matrix and reclaiming who they really are and what they're capable of.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: In this show, you'll meet exceptional people who are paving the way in raising consciousness and creating a new way of living on this earth.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Get ready to go deep.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Now let's dive in.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: So you guys are gonna love today's guests.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: I have Julia Monk with me, who is the creator of the Staged app.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: And if you haven't checked out that app yet, I definitely recommend doing it.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: She's gonna tell you guys all about it on the episode, but it's a really fabulous app to help people connect with a spiritual practice, even if it's just for like five or 10 or 15 minutes a day.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: It's such a great tool.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: And she shares her story about how she went from working in the video game industry and then moving into starting this app.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: So it's a really interesting story, and I know you're gonna love this conversation.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: A couple of announcements as I record this intro.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: I'm actually in California at Disneyland, which is very interesting.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: So it's nice to connect back in with you all.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I have a couple things going on.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So one is I still have two spaces available for quantum magnetism.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: I'm only taking 10 women for this program.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: It's a 30-day power portal to quantumly pure magnetism.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And I really want to like walk with you every step of the way to get you to your next level.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And I've never had a program like this before because I'm offering doctor coaching for the group.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: So you have access to me Monday through Friday, nine to five.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And it's really great because the group adds a different dynamic where you're gonna get so much out of hearing everyone else be coached and you getting to ask me questions all day, every day if you want to, because I'm gonna be in there with you every step of the way, getting you to that next level where you are able to really attract not only the clients you want, but the life that you want, and really start to embody what it feels like to be in that level of worthiness, deservingness, and just really valuing and honoring yourself in a new way because that's what really creates the magnetism.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: So two spots open for that.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: Early bird pricing ends on Friday.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: I suspect those two will fill before then, but reach out to me if you'd like to see if you're a fit for the program and we can chat about that and hurry up because I think they're gonna fill pretty soon.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: And then also I'm opening up five spaces to work with me privately.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Now, this is a bigger leap.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: This is a bigger investment, this is a bigger transformation.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: This is where we really move the needle.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: It's a six-month container where you have access to me through Voxer, Monday through Friday, nine to five.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: You also have access to my two group programs, the Metamorphosis and the Quantum Accelerator, and we also do weekly calls.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: And the women who work with me in this way, their lives completely transform for good.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Like these women are killing it.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Everyone who's working with me one-on-one has quantum leaped in their business.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: They're filling up their programs and their relationships are getting better, and their lives are just working in ways that they never imagined because of the work that we're doing together and because they made this commitment to themselves to get this level of support, because we don't make these huge transformations without getting a huge level of support.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And I know for me, the reason why I was able to create what I created in such a short amount of time was because I made the commitment to myself that I was going to get a very high level of support.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: And I rose to that occasion when I made that commitment to myself and I made that investment.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: So that's what this program is all about.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: It's called the Quantum Creator, and it is my high-level coaching one-on-one program.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So if you would like to apply for that, you can just go to my website and go to the work with me tab and hit uh quantum creator, and you can apply to see if we're fit to work together, or just reach out to me, infoteleasebrees.com, to get more information.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: So that is what I have going on right now.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: I know you guys are gonna enjoy this episode.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: I'm sending you so much love from California, and I will talk to you soon.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Enjoy the episode.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: I am super excited for today's guest.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Today we have Julia Monk with us, who is a former CEO in the gaming industry and is now the founder of the Saged App, which is a spiritual wellness company.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: So welcome to the show, Julia.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: I'm delighted to be here with you today.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so let's just dive right in.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I really just kind of want to hear a little bit of your story and how you went from being in the gaming world to developing this app.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I I um I guess I'm kind of a non-traditional career in a way, like a female in the gaming industry, and like that's weird.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: But it was really like something that was so resonating for me.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Like when I was exiting university, I was, you know, I have an MBA and I was like supposed to take like a banking job, or and I'm like, it's boring, I don't want to, and I was just so like mystible.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Um why did I study this?
- 6:14SPEAKER_01: How can I make something interesting and fun out of this?
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Because I am a very like Gemini joy-driven person that's sort of like it has to be fun, and for me to sort of have the endurance to do the job.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: So coming out of university in Sweden, I was like, what am I gonna do?
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: And then I actually, you know, you know, I like to play games.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Like at that time, I was playing a lot of video games.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: I'm like, well, let's see if I can find a job in the gaming industry.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: And you know, I actually wrote my thesis for gaming company in Stockholm, and it was so much fun.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: It was amazing.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: It was everything I wanted to do.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: And I I joined that company and quickly became like game studio manager and like had this rocket career, it was like 23, and I'm like, woohoo! Like this is perfect.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: And uh and it was so much fun, so much fun, like for the longest time, but then it wasn't anymore.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Like it, I just hit at this moment, and I'm just like, wow, I don't feel the joy anymore.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: This is not resonating.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: And I had um, you know, at that time I had like two kids and you know, VP, and you know, was working for for a company that has um like social casino games, so people play fake slot machines on their phone, and they, you know, they spend a lot of money, but they don't win any money.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: And it was just like this really weird thing, and it was like I didn't feel pride anymore in like what I was working on.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Like it didn't necessarily feel my soul.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: And also it's like, okay, what legacy am I leaving behind?
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: Are my children, like my mom's like in the gaming industry?
- 7:41SPEAKER_01: That was like cool for a long time, but then I'm like, nah, there's gotta be more than that.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: Like there's gonna be more than that that they're gonna talk about, you know, to their kids and whatever.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: So for me, that was just like there was a lot of things I started feeling like I'm not in the right place.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: It was just a discovery, like, but what is the place that I'm supposed to be in?
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Like it wasn't something that was like super apparent to me.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: And at the same time, you know, this is like end of my 30s, it's like a midlife crisis, call it what you will, but it's just like a lot of things didn't feel super joyful.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: And just like on paper, I have everything like the husband, oh the family and the career and the friends, but I'm like, I'm dead inside.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: Not quite to that extent, but it's just like where's the joy?
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: Where's that flow?
- 8:23SPEAKER_01: Where's the the where's the laughter?
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: It's just like, oh no, I'm just like so chore-driven and so like I've lost who I am.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: And at the same time, thankfully, luckily, I I you know I live in San Francisco and there's a lot of like resources available, you know, to expand your consciousness, which I've luckily had people in my in my sphere, my community that were really into like spiritual journeys and meditation and whatever, and they just like you should come and and try this out.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Like, let's let's do this together.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: So I did, and my first foray into something what really bust me open was plant medicine.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: And when I had like a spiritual journey on plant medicine, and it was just like whoa, like somebody just opened the blinds.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: I'm like, oh wow, awesome! There's so much more to life, to to the planet, to earth, to how we're living.
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: Like it was just like I finally could like literally like see the light and like also see the light in me and reconnecting all the pieces of me that I sort of just scurried away or like forgotten about or whatever.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: So it's really about reclaiming the self.
- 9:29SPEAKER_01: And it was just like it opened the door to sort of a lot of self-discovery and a lot of learning that slowly but surely sort of led me to the path of like, well, just looking at my careers, like, well, I know how to build games, I know how to build community-based online games and all this stuff.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: Why can't I take some of this my newfound fascination about the spiritual realm and world and tools that are available and apply that on the tech shops that I already have?
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: So that then became for me something that I wanted to explore.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: And it originally I had lots of different ideas.
- 10:05SPEAKER_01: So I want to make like community-based games for children, and I had all these really big ideas.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: It's gonna take hundreds of millions of dollars to create, and I would have to go to a million VCs and get rejected a thousand times.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, that's too much.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: And then I had this big revelation where I was also on a plant medicine journey in San Pedro, and um, where I connected to my my mom's dad, my grandfather, that passed away before I was born, and he was a Syrian entrepreneur, like he was a very successful guy, and he was always creating companies and and you know, in construction or whatever.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Like he saw opportunity, he would go and make a business and do well.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: And he just came through very clear and he's like, you know, you're like my lineage, you can figure it out.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: You can figure it out, don't make it so difficult for yourself.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Like, just start small, like start with something that you can do where you don't need to rely on a bunch of other people to get it done.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh that's very sage advice.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: And from there, the idea of Sage that now is this spiritual wellness app that I created, and I'm the CEO and founder of, that's where that started happening.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, we can start tomorrow, we can have a little app, and the ideas just like came rushing in, like the blueprint for the app just came through in a big way.
- 11:23SPEAKER_01: It's launched three and a half years ago now.
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: It started as a side hustle, like you know, like I was still working the big beep job and taking care of my kids, my family, and then this was like at night I was working on the app and doing things, and and now it's uh, you know, it's a very healthy community.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: It's uh we have 40,000 monthly users, you know, and it's like people work with me and we have a team, and so it's very joyous and it's very fun, and it's helping people to on their spiritual journey, which is really the essence.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: So can you tell us a little bit about the app?
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Like what kind of stuff is available, like what can you do on it, all of that?
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So it's really built as an antithesis to social media where you have you sort of have the eternal scroll that's there to suck you and you want to steal your time because the more time you spend in the app, the more money that company makes.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: And it just gives me the chills and all the wrong ways uh to have those kinds of business structures.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, that's not what we're gonna do.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: What we're gonna do is to have something concrete, something short and sweet that you can do that you gives you the learning that you can apply it in in your own life.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: So, what we what we have every day we have a curated list of things to do.
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: So there's basically three to-dos that you should do.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: One of them is a devi ritual, and it's really a grounding ritual, and it's curious based on the zodiac.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: So, like, where's the sun, where's the moon, where's the moon face or wind?
- 12:51SPEAKER_01: And it's something that really is designed to ground you.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: And uh it could be a simple thing as to say, go outside, take off your shoes, stand barefoot on the ground, face the east, and like you know, have this like affirmation that you tell yourself.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: So something that is an action that you do every day.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: It doesn't take more than five minutes to do, oftentimes just 30 seconds, but it's something to sort of reset your energy and bring you back to center.
- 13:16SPEAKER_01: And then we have a gratitude practice so people share what they're grateful for on that particular day because gratitude is the highest elevated vibration that you can have.
- 13:26SPEAKER_01: So helping people find gratitude every day is another thing to do.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: And then we have a guided meditation that's also curated and based on the day.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: So there's so many meditation apps, right?
- 13:37SPEAKER_01: There's so many meditation apps.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know about you, but for me, I often feel overwhelmed when I open eye, like I don't know where to begin.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Like there's just so much content.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: So we really wanted to simplify with Sage like here are the three things that you should do.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: Like, and it's all based on the energy of the day, so it's good for you, like it's grounded in something that we all have in common, like how the sun and the moon is affecting us.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: So that's sort of the three key things that you should do every day.
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: And then we also offer live classes, so we have ceremonies for the new moon and the full moon.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: We have teachers from all over the world and all walks of spiritual life come to us, like healers and tarot readers and psychics and all kinds of people come in and they share their wisdom in classes.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: And then we have the things master classes, we have so much things, but it's really everything that you need for your spiritual journey, but created it and designed in a way to sort of get you in and then to get you out of again pretty quickly, and then to you can apply everything that you absorbed in the in the app into in your life.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think it's so important to have it structured that way because you're right, there is so much stuff that you can do.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: And I know for me, I don't always do the same thing, but I have a very like small amount of things that I will do just because I'm also very particular about who I'm letting into my consciousness, you know, and I'm guessing I'm not the only one who feels that way.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So it's nice to have something that's like very highly curated.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: So I love that.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm guessing you kind of based it off of stuff that you like to do, also.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Yes, totally.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: You know, I designed it for me, right?
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: So for me, it was just like I need this because I'm starting my spiritual journey and I don't know like what the right things are or what to do.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: So it was really just driven, like, let me find the best people.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: And also I didn't have time to do a bunch of research.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: So it's like, let me Google best top media hug.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: What do I do?
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't have time, I just need that to be figured out for me.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: So a lot of it's just like aligning with, you know, my initially my own spiritual teachers and just like that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: I really gelled with, and like they they came in and they did a lot of content, and then expanding the realms like, okay, who else do we know?
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: Who else is out there?
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: And also help lift amazing spiritual teachers up on the platform because one of the the things also, like you might be an amazing spiritual teacher, but you might be a really shitty marketer, and that's that's fine.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Like you shouldn't have to be have a huge Instagram following.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: So it's also a way to sort of help amazing spiritual teachers have a platform to to be seen on.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: But yeah, totally agree with like curated, like the best, the top-notch quality of everything, because we only want to spend so much time on this today, and it's gotta be really good.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: So it was a big, big thing.
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I love how you do it around like the energy of the astrology too, because I'm really especially I'd say in the last few years.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've always been super into astrology, but in the last few years, with like all the changes happening in the world, I'm so tuned into what's going on astrologically, and I feel like it's so important to like have that awareness and curate what you're doing around that.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: So I love that so much.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, thank you.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and something we all have in common, right?
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yes, depending on when you're born, it could be affected more or less.
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: But like, yeah, the moon is the moon, and you know, when it's full, it's full for all of us.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: So it's just like all those things as well, as well as the the astrology and the zodiac.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: And the we like to really think about the elements around the zodiac, you know, so if it's water or earth and like and craft rituals around that, just really looking at the elements because we also want to draw people's attention more to like understanding the elements and how important they are and everything that comes with it.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: So I'm curious to know about your journey a little bit as far as the transition from, you know, your job in the gaming industry and kind of that more structured lifestyle.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: What was the biggest challenge for you, I guess, in making that transition or leaving that world?
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Like, did you have fears come up or insecurities or challenges along the way of making that transition or leaving that world?
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
- 17:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's a big transition, you know.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: You have like this like high-powered job and you know, like all the good things.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: And it was something I had also like worked really hard for and I made it, like, yay! But I just didn't want to do it anymore.
- 18:08SPEAKER_01: I was just like so unmotivated.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: I was so unmotivated.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: All I wanted to do was like work on the stage or like find, you know, some time to like work on the thing.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: But I had such a blessing uh happen to me at one of the jobs I had.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: I was working with an executive coach, and she was a very spiritual lady herself.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: She leads women's retreats and does all these amazing things.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: So I I shared with her like here's where I'm at, like I'm you know, I'm gonna get credit with what I'm doing for this job, but I also have this idea, like a little seed that's growing.
- 18:43SPEAKER_01: That's where my excitement is, and like how what do I do?
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: And so she really taught me when you have these situations, how you build a bridge, how you straddle it with your present reality and the future where you want to go.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: Because she's like, Well, there's a reason that you're here right now because there's still things you need to learn where you're at.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: So when you have the foot in your present, like so rather than looking at it as a nuisance, or I don't want to do this anymore, I'm still over, it's like, what is left to learn from where I am?
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And then how can I apply it to my future wish endeavor seed, if you will.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: And that changed everything for me.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Everything.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: I said, wow, I had never really thought of it that way as a learning experience.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: And I was totally fine continuing with my work, whatever.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: I was so excited, but every time I like I felt like I'm like, no, what is it?
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: Let's listen to the situation at hand.
- 19:39SPEAKER_01: Like, what is it that I need to learn?
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: And is there anything here that can be applied?
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: And all of a sudden I was learning new things at work, and I was like, really wanting to hear all the conversations.
- 19:48SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wow, because it's not just for this particular moment in time, it's for other things in my life as well.
- 19:54SPEAKER_01: So that felt really good just as a way to straddle because I am, you know, again, Gemini, and I just wanted to be done yesterday, and I let's just go.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm also an optimist that I could have just eject, you know, way like to prematurity.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: But then, like, you know, I'm doing a family in whatever San Francisco, and it's really expensive here.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: I knew my company had to be at a certain level before I could like really jump ship and start 100, you know, working more on it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: But yeah, but you know, I would say it's been like a year and a half now that it's been my full-time gig.
- 20:26SPEAKER_01: And it was beautiful because also sort of had the university student like just made that happen.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Like I was working at the job, and I was just like, Yeah, started consulting for them a little bit, and there's like separating myself, still have income, but I'm not, I'm consulting, I'm no longer like owned there.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: And it it started creating the spaciousness of just cutting the ties of like corporate America that you know, that really binds you, you know, and it was amazing and just like shedding some of those layers, like, oh wow, it's more spaciousness, more freedom.
- 20:56SPEAKER_01: And then to the point where like the company was in a place that I could just like go and focus.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: But it it was interesting how much time it took.
- 21:04SPEAKER_01: It wasn't just like I'm gonna resign tomorrow and like do my own thing.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: For me at least, it was definitely like a conscious decoupling from that kind of like corporate structure.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Which was surprising in a way, how deep, how deep it goes.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I know, I totally can relate.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: I mean, I didn't work in corporate, but I was a school counselor for 10 years before my business.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: And I relate to so much of what you were saying because I went through a very similar process where part of me just like wanted to be done, but obviously I had to continue for however long.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, it just got to a point where I couldn't do it anymore.
- 21:40SPEAKER_00: But there was so much that had to be dismantled and like disentangled from not only just like the actual job, but just like my beliefs about the job and like what it meant, what I thought I like should be doing, or just all the kind of stories that you have around.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: A job that's kind of in a system and what that means to you, and really having to kind of what you said, like consciously uncouple from it.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I love that you put it that way because I felt the exact same way.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: And it actually was like highly uncomfortable for me at times because I kind of had to face a lot of trauma, ancestral trauma, and just beliefs that I had about like what I was capable of and being a failure and all of these things that just kind of came up in the face of um of leaving.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: And also like my parents both were teachers too, and like they worked in the same school district that I was working in.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: And I felt like I had to disentangle myself from like their trajectory too.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: So yeah, it's a whole thing.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think people can think it's as easy as like, oh, I'm just gonna go quit my job, but it's not that easy.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: It's not that easy at all.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: And also to your point, like the ancestral thing, also, like, oh, can I do this?
- 23:01SPEAKER_01: Do I have the permission to do this?
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I had similar things.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: It was interesting just how much permission I was needing from like others.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, also just like, oh no, you have you can do this, and like, oh, I have the right to do.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: I can oh, oh, okay, great.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: So it was sort of sort of waiting around for permission to be granted, and you could just give it to yourself, but like that did not happen that way.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: So I think that that's a really common thing, is we have this pattern of like waiting for someone else to tell you, okay, you can do this or you're good enough, or you're able to do this, but really no one's gonna tell you that other than you.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, a hundred percent.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it matters what we tell ourselves, just be clear a lot.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: So, were the people in your life supportive of the transition?
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: I yeah, everybody was supportive.
- 23:51SPEAKER_01: My husband was really supportive.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: He's just like, go for it, like do the thing, but like not recklessly.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: He just sees how happy I am, also, in terms of having this liberty of like working how I want to work.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm from Sweden.
- 24:06SPEAKER_01: I want to spend my summers in Sweden.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: And for the longest time, there was, you know, always some negotiation I had to do with my employers.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, I know we only have two weeks, but can I work remote?
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: And it was always like this relationship where I just had to beg for wanting to live how I wanted, that was just really not working for me.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, I don't want to be here.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: I want to be over there.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: I'm happy to work with you.
- 24:32SPEAKER_01: I'm just not gonna be here.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: So this is of course pre-pandemic, and now you can be wherever the heck you want and work, and that's fine.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: It was just in those years, it was just much more like butts and seats to qualify as are you actually doing any work.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: So for me, that was just like having detached from that was huge.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: And then also to just have the freedom, like, okay, you know what, I don't want to work today.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: I'm just not gonna do it.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Like that feels really good to me.
- 24:58SPEAKER_01: I'm a staunch believer in I don't believe in the hustle.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: I believe in like being really smart and strategic with what you do with your time, but I don't believe in hours just for our sake.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Like for me, that's not productive.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: And for me, it's also like where I'm at in my life, where you know, I have a 12-year-old and a seven-year-old, and I want to be with them also.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: I don't want to be like, I have to work.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: So it's really about creating a life that flows with the family and being available, helping them with the homework or whatever they need to do.
- 25:25SPEAKER_01: Like, and that just for me feels really juicy right now because before I had the nine to five, and I had to like use all those hours for the company, and everything I did with my kids felt like stealing time.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: And it's just like, no, I I don't want to live in that energy.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think more and more people are realizing that, especially like once 2020 happened.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: I think more and more people woke up to that of like, what am I doing?
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: So I think that it sounds like right in alignment with how a lot of people are feeling.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: And I'm curious, like, about your plant medicine journey too.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Did that kind of propel you forward in having those understandings even more, like that you wanted to leave, or like what were some of the big aha's that you got from plant medicine?
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: I think the biggest thing that happened to me, well, there's so much.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: There's so much mystic.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: So the first journey that really like sort of set me off in the trajectory was just going back in time and looking at my parents' divorce.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: It's like they had like World War III divorce, terrible.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: They still, I mean, they're friendly now, but like barely.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: But it was just like going back and looking at it from a completely different point of view, and then looking at the time before and like, oh, we were actually a happy family.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: Wow, I had a happy family.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: I didn't know.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: Wait, my dad is actually an amazing person.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: I love my dad, like all these realizations.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: Like the next day, I just called up my dad.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Papa, I love you so much.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: And we hadn't had we had a pretty like strained relationship.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: He's like, Me too, like crying.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: It was just like one of those times where it was just like, and he's pretty spiritual, so he does a lot of work himself.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: But we were just like able to sort of meet again somewhere and start a completely fresh and new.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, wow! And all it took from me was just a sort of opening my heart and daring to say the words, you know, just speaking my truth and like and and just love.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: That was all it took.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, from that, I was hooked.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: I'm like, woo-hoo, like this stuff is powerful.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: It can definitely help you heal your heart, it can help heal the heart of your humanity, it can help you see more clearly.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: So just having that initial experience was really like, wow, I can really uh use one of the tools in my life to just be a better human.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Like, look, this lifetime is amazing, let's make the best out of it.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: So, and then a continuation came.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: And plant medicine also without plant medicine.
- 27:49SPEAKER_01: I think one of the other like pivotal moments, especially before what we were talking about a little earlier about getting permission, was a meeting I had with uh Kaya Ra.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Are you familiar with her?
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: She wrote the Sophia Code.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes, I read that book, yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: So the Sophia Code.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: And she, a friend of mine had organized like an event with her.
- 28:08SPEAKER_01: So there was like, I don't know, 13 of us, and and her, and she was talking about the book, and she also did healing on everybody.
- 28:15SPEAKER_01: Everybody got like a couple of minutes and she would do something, and it would be anything from like a shamanic cleansing and ancestral like cord cutting, and she was amazing, like it was so good.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and she really commands presses too.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: So, like when it's your turn, you're sort of like shivering in your boots, and you're like, I was like towards the end when I've seen all these like exorcisms, and like but when it was my turn, she just like okay, so we just had a conversation, but she's like, So what's going on with you?
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Well, I feel like you know, I was like stuck creatively, I don't know what to do.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: I just think, yeah, I do this thing, and she's like, Well, there warrants and she's like, I see that you have a lifestyle brand in you.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Why don't you just do it?
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: I'm like, Oh, wow, oh, yeah, can I do it?
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: And you know, when she's like, Yeah, you have total permission.
- 29:04SPEAKER_01: Did you have the idea at this point for the app?
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: I didn't have Sage, I had the another gaming idea for kids, so that's what I was like thinking about a lot.
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: But she saw past that, she saw Sage.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: I didn't know about Sage at that time.
- 29:16SPEAKER_01: So that to me, like in hindsight, I'm like, holy smokes, she saw Sage before I even knew it existed.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Like that was really intense.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but what she just gave me permission to do is just like you should go build the thing, like just go build the thing.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I'm gonna build the thing.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: And that was just also another one of those like giant leaps of just like having been given permission that somebody else sees that you have something in you that you should be doing.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wow, great.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'll go do that.
- 29:44SPEAKER_01: I'll go do that right now.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: So that I would say was another like pivotal moment.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: And then finally, it was like my grandfather coming to me and just giving me the seed of like the lifestyle brand that I now run.
- 29:57SPEAKER_01: It's also like three key pieces.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's so cool.
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've I did more mushrooms really when I was more when I was younger, but I always say that I attribute my first experiences of spirituality to psychedelics, um, because that was kind of like my first experience with the other realms, I guess you could say.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: So um I definitely relate to that for sure.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: So you started developing the app, and then how did you like get the word out there?
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: How did you start to build it and like gain like a following and put it out there?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, first it was really this word of mouth, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: I remember like I put uh publish on the App Store button.
- 30:41SPEAKER_01: I think it was like Halloween 2018 or something, like with like the right on November 1st, like day of the dead.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: I'm like, this is powerful.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna get all the help from my spirit guides to like launch this thing.
- 30:52SPEAKER_01: And I was I had made this altar.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: I had like the laptop, I had like all the journals I've been using to write down my ideas.
- 30:58SPEAKER_01: I had like crystals and anointment oil and like Malibies.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: I had like all my things laid out and like a singing ball, and I was like, bang, bang, and I press publish.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: And now you don't know what's gonna happen.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: Like most there's so many apps out there, most of them crickets, you know, there's nothing happening.
- 31:18SPEAKER_01: Um, and I just emailed everybody I uh and their mother that I know, just like get my app, get my app.
- 31:25SPEAKER_01: And you know, in the beginning, I would say the first month, it was basically just people I know got downloaded and became members and all this thing.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: And then I stick a spent like a baby bit of advertising, but I like$500, like not much.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: I'm just like, what happens if I do this?
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Because you know, I my previous jobs I've been managing billions of dollars in advertising budgets, and it's like I know how to how to operate that, but I'm like, what about five hundred dollars?
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: Let's start with that, and just the sort of learning and seeing what's what's going on.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: But mostly I was just app store optimization, so like working with keywords, working with descriptions and stuff like that that help gain some visibility, so like picking the right ones.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: And we did pretty well, like organically, folks started showing up in the app.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: And it's just been piling on month over month, year over year.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: And we haven't done too much.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Like we've done a little bit of advertising, we have social media, but as most people know, it's really difficult to get social media to grow or even more, like how anybody take action on anything from a social media post, like that's like almost impossible.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: So it's been, I would say, just attribute into people searching for this on the app store, like anything spiritual, meditation, self-care, and that us showing up in the results has really been sort of the key driver of growth.
- 32:44SPEAKER_01: Wow, that's awesome.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: And word of mouth, obviously, like friends telling friends and so on.
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: But oftentimes also, though, because I thought originally that's gonna be the thing, people tell their friends, but not that many people have spiritual friends or are part of a spiritual community.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: It's just like a lot of times people are saying it's like I'm the only witch in my town.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: Like, I this is your app is really helping me, you know.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: So where do you see it growing into, or how do you want to continue to grow or expand?
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: So now I mean we're continuously evolving the app itself, also, just to sort of bring more tools to people, like really have that be sort of your your daily check-in so that you feel grounded in the day and that you kind of can put a check mark on like, yes, I was spiritual day, I let something at sacred self-care, like me time, hello.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: So that is continuation.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: But we also recently launched uh another business that is uh like a subscription box for ritual items.
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: So we called it the Sage Ritual Box.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: So every month you get home items that you can then use in a bespoke ritual, and that we do uh live ritual, so you can join in and like you get learn how to use your items and you can put it all together in in a ritual.
- 33:54SPEAKER_01: So those are really fun and really great to do.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: And you know, there's a lot of subscription boxes out there, and most of the time when I get them, I get disappointed.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm not gonna use it.
- 34:03SPEAKER_01: What is this?
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna say why did this now sail from China to the US and then got packed?
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: And no, like why?
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:12SPEAKER_01: So we try to focus like sustainable items made in the US, good quality items, like amazing things that you actually want to put on your altar and things you could even gift to a friend, you know, it's like the highest quality, but still like reasonably priced.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: So that's what we're trying to create is that people have like these beautiful things they can put on the altar, and also then, of course, the ritual to help them like use it as well in a good way.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love that.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: And what are some of the like rituals that what people can do with the ritual boxes?
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so we have had like every month it's a theme, so most of the time based on the wheel of the year.
- 34:48SPEAKER_01: So, you know, we just had like an earth box where it was like a little potted plant where you can put the seed in, and there you make a ritual around the seed, how you bless the seed, you put your intentions, uh, and then you plant the seed in the pot and how you can't make campfruit pot.
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: So that was one ritual.
- 35:03SPEAKER_01: The one we're doing right now is a solstice ritual.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: So we have an oracle deck, we have crystals, we have anointment oils, we have a whole bunch of stuff that's all sort of going to be used as the inner ritual for like how you actually shine your light, your inner light, how you can really turn your inner light on.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, it's a bunch of things.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: So you can, of course, use the items without the ritual too, but it's a really nice way to sort of bring everything together.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: So, did you start doing rituals and stuff like before you created the app?
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: Was that part of your practice?
- 35:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, just part of my practice.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: One of my first uh spiritual teachers, Vanetta, she was a lot of like doing ritual, calling in the elements, like calling in the sacred directions, like when you're gonna do spiritual work, like you set it up right, like set it everything up right, like anoint yourself, like do the sacred rituals to sort of really get into the moment and connect with yourself before you go do like bigger work.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: So having been taught those things early in my spiritual career was really helpful.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, because it's was so helpful for me.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: Okay, I always keep you know, some anointing oil like by my desk or my altar, whatever, and just like as a quick, simple practice, it's like touching your chakra points and finding your center.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: I anoint my kids before bed every night.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: Like there's like all these little rituals that uh just remind you and resets you in a really healthy way.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: And that's really the core thing with the app.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: Like you something simple and small, but it will like reset you and elevate your frequency to a better place.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, totally.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: And just even being like intentional around that, I feel like creates such a different energy.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, I always say this just being intentional with your energy in general is not something that we are taught that has any kind of power and it has so much power.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Like just your attention, your intention, and just where you're kind of like putting your consciousness and the energy you're creating makes all the difference in just what your experience is and the results that you get.
- 37:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's amazing.
- 37:08SPEAKER_01: It's amazing to do that.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: So being focused on that, and then also what we like to do as well is just like then also leveraging the moon, the elements, whatever, to sort of really anchor it into the energy that's available.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: So, like it's the new moon, probably a pretty good time to like get clear on your intentions for the moon cycle.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: So, like really using that as a tool, also as a helper to get more in tune with what is it that I desire?
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: Like, what is it that I actually want?
- 37:37SPEAKER_01: Am I lacking anything?
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: What is it that I want to have in the next step?
- 37:41SPEAKER_01: And also the full moon, like what am I ready to let go of so that my intentions actually can come through?
- 37:46SPEAKER_01: So, like constantly having this like duality of setting the intention, but also releasing the stuff that you don't need anymore.
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: So, like, and working through that way and and just see what life you create by by using these tools.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: Totally.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: It's like a conversation with the universe or conversation with spirit at all times.
- 38:05SPEAKER_00: That's kind of, I feel like the missing piece for a lot of people because I see, like so many people say to me, I don't receive any messages from my spirit guys, or I don't know how to connect, or whatever it is.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm always like, you're actually receiving messages all the time.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: You're just probably not realizing it or cultivating that relationship with spirit.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: You actually have to like intentionally cultivate that relationship, you know, and spend time just like you would with a romantic partner putting energy into that relationship.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: And I feel like that's kind of missing for people where they think like the sky is just gonna open and they're gonna get all this information, but it doesn't really work like that.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: So it's like everything that you're providing, just different tools and like avenues for people to cultivate that relationship.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: And it's just like the phone ringing and the spirit guide is talking to you.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: You just have to listen a little bit more and get a little bit more quiet, yeah, in whatever way that is.
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: And and that's really the hope for for everyone to live a more guided life.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: How can I be more guided?
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: How can I make sure that the decisions I make and the the energy I put out are the highest good for all?
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: What do I need to do?
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: And what is that?
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 39:26SPEAKER_01: So that's that's really it's a really important piece.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: And I know one thing too that can be hard for people is having like a sustainable practice, you know, something that they can do long term.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: And you know, and I always say to people too, you don't have to do the same thing for like ever and ever.
- 39:41SPEAKER_00: You can change up what you're doing just as long as you're doing something, right?
- 39:45SPEAKER_00: What would your advice be to people who kind of struggle with maintaining a routine?
- 39:51SPEAKER_00: What would you say that might be helpful for them?
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Yes, I would say you don't need to meditate a half hour every day or an hour or you know, go hug a tree every day.
- 40:01SPEAKER_01: Like it doesn't have to be that way.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's just we have to be realistic because I'm also like if it gets too hard, I'm not gonna do it.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: Like it needs to fit in with my life, you know, and I just some of the things just need sometimes need to be like check, check, check, check, check, just get through the list.
- 40:15SPEAKER_01: And I think even a five-minute or even a two-minute meditation or just writing down one line of what you're grateful for today makes all the difference.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: It doesn't have to be much more than that.
- 40:28SPEAKER_01: Like it can be like these quick fixes are totally legit and they're still gonna write, really help you up level.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: So for me, that was like the biggest revelation.
- 40:39SPEAKER_01: I'm so happy to find out about that because I'm like, I can do that.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: Like, I can do the two-minute one, perfect, but I can't do the half-hour one, you know.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: So, like all this like transcendent meditation or TM or what it's called, like I could never do that.
- 40:52SPEAKER_01: That's way too much time.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: Like, forget it.
- 40:54SPEAKER_01: I'm sure it's a lot of time, and I'm sure it's great, but like, come on, that's not realistic for most people.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: No, not at all.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: And I agree, I don't always spend a whole lot of time meditating.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I channel energy work for people and I read the Akashic Records and everything.
- 41:11SPEAKER_00: And like, I also feel like that is my spiritual practice.
- 41:15SPEAKER_00: So, like when I'm working with clients, I feel like that's my spiritual practice.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: And sometimes I'm like, is that cheating or is that like actually true?
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:28SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I I always am kind of like, oh, am I like allowed to do that?
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: But I think we kind of have this misconception that unless we're sitting there meditating for a half hour, an hour a day, we're like not doing it right.
- 41:41SPEAKER_00: But I agree.
- 41:42SPEAKER_00: I feel like it can be something that is short as like 30 seconds.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: As long as you're like doing something where you're intentionally coming back to your own energy and you're intentionally changing your energy, then that's all that really matters.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: And it's about like being conscious, you know, and having that intention behind it.
- 42:02SPEAKER_01: Totally.
- 42:02SPEAKER_01: And also like meditation is amazing, like for so many ways.
- 42:05SPEAKER_01: But it's also there's more than that, you know, it's great to just like blank out your mind and all that stuff.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: And maybe it's guided, maybe it's not, and whatever.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: But it's also like a tool that I really love to use, something that I picked up pretty recently, which this woman, Lisa Miller, she's a PhD, she wrote a book called uh The Awakened Brain.
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: Highly recommend telling everybody about this one.
- 42:26SPEAKER_01: All right, I'm gonna write that down.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's great.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: And she was actually on a podcast recently, and uh and she bought this tool that I just like, wow, this this is good.
- 42:36SPEAKER_01: So she also talks about like how meditation is great, however, we don't have the time, la la la, but it's also like how do you go one step beyond?
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: How do you actually get the spiritual mind?
- 42:45SPEAKER_01: How do you actually because spirituality, her thing is like, you know, spirituality is actually a safeguard against depression.
- 42:51SPEAKER_01: People who have a spiritual practice don't get depressed as often as people without it.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: Like it's a and she's done research for you know 30 plus years on this topic and it's scientific and proven.
- 43:03SPEAKER_01: But anyway, like what I what I was really drawn to was this idea as meditation is great by quieting the monkey brain, right?
- 43:09SPEAKER_01: So we all need to do that.
- 43:10SPEAKER_01: But then it's really about like what's the meditation plus, like, what else can we actually do to help awaken the mind?
- 43:17SPEAKER_01: So I can share this tool.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: It's like a yeah, please.
- 43:20SPEAKER_00: Now I'm dying to know.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: Okay, please.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: I don't know what she calls it, but this something that they also teach, I think this the the top uh US Army guys to sort of make sure that they they have a tool so that their decision-making process is really grounded and and healthy and coming from the right place.
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: So it's something that she teaches and it's being used everywhere, like even in the US Army.
- 43:43SPEAKER_01: So here we go.
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: So first just take a few cleansing breaths.
- 43:54SPEAKER_01: And then you on your mind's eye imagine a table.
- 43:58SPEAKER_01: It could be any table.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: Be your dining table or work table or your grandma's table, any table that comes up for you.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: And you picture yourself sitting on a chair by this table.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: And there's room for other people to come and join you at the table.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: And now you invite in anybody who truly loves you to come join you at the table.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: And now you see people from their life, or maybe you know or you don't know, show up and take a seat at the table.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: It could be people who are alive today, or maybe they've passed on.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: It could be spirit guides, it could be whoever shows up for you.
- 44:38SPEAKER_01: Just know that they're here because they heard the call and they truly love you.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: So when they're all taken a place by this table, you ask a question.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: You ask, Do you love me?
- 44:51SPEAKER_01: And you can all hear them say, Yes, of course I love you.
- 44:54SPEAKER_01: You can really feel the love coming at you from all these people that are sitting around your table.
- 45:01SPEAKER_01: And now you put your attention to your higher self, so that is above your crown chakra, up in the sky, where your higher self is looking over and looking after.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: And you ask your higher self, Do you love me?
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: And your higher self says, Yes, of course I love you, and sends this huge dose of love straight to your crown chakra and it fills up your entire body.
- 45:24SPEAKER_01: And then you go even higher up in the sky and you ask source or God or the higher consciousness or your higher self, whatever you want to call it.
- 45:33SPEAKER_01: Just ask the same question.
- 45:35SPEAKER_01: Do you love me?
- 45:36SPEAKER_01: And again, you feel this rush of love filling your whole body, your whole vessel full of love.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: And that's a pretty spectacular feeling despair.
- 45:45SPEAKER_01: But now you want to ask your second question, and you ask, What should I do next?
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: And you stop to listen.
- 45:54SPEAKER_01: Listen to what the people around your table have to say to you.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: Listen to their advice.
- 45:59SPEAKER_01: It could be maybe sentences or images or however things come through to you, it's all perfect and it's all good.
- 46:06SPEAKER_01: And you can also listen in to advice from your higher self or your higher self.
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: And when you have received your messages, you share your gratitude to everybody who came to the table today.
- 46:19SPEAKER_01: Gratitude for showing you the way and for giving you the love.
- 46:22SPEAKER_01: And the gratitude to the higher self and the higher self.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: And then you gently open your eyes.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: And hopefully you came away with some good advice.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: I did.
- 46:34SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: I feel like that was exactly what I needed right now.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: And I'm guessing my audience is gonna feel the same way.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: And it's well, first of all, I'm so used to leading people through things.
- 46:45SPEAKER_00: It was so nice to just be led through that.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: I really went fully there, and I got a lot of messages actually.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: The first message that I got was to sing.
- 46:55SPEAKER_00: Yay! Which I feel like is hilarious because I can't really sing.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: But I think it was like a deeper level of like really fully expressing myself to like the fullest degree, which is kind of what I got from it.
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: And like there was some other stuff that came through too.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: But that was really powerful.
- 47:16SPEAKER_00: And I love that.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: I actually want to share that with my clients too, who kind of struggle with receiving the messages because I feel like it kind of puts you in this very grounded place where you can receive it.
- 47:29SPEAKER_00: And like associating the people that love you with that, I feel like is very powerful and very grounding.
- 47:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 47:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, and well, how long did it take us?
- 47:39SPEAKER_01: Not even two minutes, I'm sure.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, it's such and it changes the whole outlook, like for the day, for your life or whatever.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: And it's just like I just love the love bombing too.
- 47:50SPEAKER_01: And just like you really feel like, oh my goodness.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this feels really solid.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: Oh, so much love.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: You really let tap into that vibration, and that for me sometimes all I did.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't care about your messages, I just need to feel love.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: Totally, you know, but it I just yeah, I just have a Mac notebook, like when I wake up again or something, I just like write everything down, and it's been so helpful.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: That is really helpful, and I love this idea.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if you described it this way, but the way I'm kind of seeing it is like it's not even necessarily about the meditation per se, but like that perspective, like that spiritual perspective, right?
- 48:26SPEAKER_00: And I feel like the world that we live in is basically giving us the opposite of the spiritual perspective, right?
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: Everywhere you turn, you're getting the opposite, right?
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: Of like, oh, you better be afraid, you better watch out, something's gonna get you, like all of that.
- 48:42SPEAKER_00: And really, it's like everything comes from us.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: But just being able to shift into that spiritual perspective has so much value.
- 48:52SPEAKER_00: And then I feel like it kind of aligns you with actually what you are meant to be doing or the decisions you really want to be making, or just that place of um like your highest alignment with what you're here for.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's great.
- 49:08SPEAKER_01: And also because sometimes when I'm like stuck in my monkey brain and I'm like, oh, and I have like this hustle mindset for a minute, I'm like, oh, I have to today, and it just needs to go here.
- 49:20SPEAKER_01: And then I do the practice, it's like, no, actually, all I need to do is like cook a really nourishing meal for my family tonight.
- 49:26SPEAKER_01: Which would not be what I would have ever told myself because I just I don't do that naturally.
- 49:33SPEAKER_01: So it's just like these small things too.
- 49:35SPEAKER_01: Like, no, today actually you're just gonna play a board game with your smallest kid.
- 49:39SPEAKER_01: That's what I get sometimes.
- 49:40SPEAKER_01: So I'm like, thank you for this.
- 49:42SPEAKER_01: You know, it's been so helpful.
- 49:44SPEAKER_01: When to push and when to let go and like where to focus your energy on a particular day.
- 49:49SPEAKER_01: Beautiful.
- 49:49SPEAKER_00: It really is.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for sharing that.

- 51:02SPEAKER_00: It was amazing.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, and our last question, I almost forgot my last question.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: So, for you, what is a non-negotiable when it comes to fully reclaiming your consciousness?
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: For me, it's like sacred me time to like I really thrive when I get some alone time.
- 51:19SPEAKER_01: And it's something I need every day.
- 51:21SPEAKER_01: And it's non-negotiable.
- 51:22SPEAKER_01: If I don't get that, then no, it's not good.
- 51:26SPEAKER_00: I a hundred percent agree with you.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: Like, and I was an only child too.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: I do struggle.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: You know, I have two kids and a husband and a dog and a business, and it's just like if I don't get time by myself, I get angry.
- 51:40SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, it's not good.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: No, it's not, it's not.
- 51:46SPEAKER_00: You will see me locking myself in my bedroom and telling everybody to go away.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: Like it has to happen.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, totally.
- 51:53SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you so much.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: This was amazing.
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: We're all gonna be checking out the Saged app.
