- 0:23Speaker 1: In the Apostle Paul's final recorded epistle, he sent this
- 0:33Speaker 1: message to his young protege, Timothy. He said, remember this,
- 0:40Speaker 1: Jesus descended from David, risen from the dead. I like
- 0:47Speaker 1: that phrase, remember this. Of all the things we've discussed,
- 0:51Speaker 1: from church organization to morality to spirituality, if you forget
- 0:57Speaker 1: everything else, don't forget this. And he highlights, remember this.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Every so often, it's good for us as a church
- 1:06Speaker 1: to just say, now, let's remember this. And that's what
- 1:10Speaker 1: we're doing during this brief, three-week series called Remember This.
- 1:17Speaker 1: It seemed an appropriate time and it seemed like I
- 1:20Speaker 1: was the appropriate one to do it because this is
- 1:22Speaker 1: my 25th year preaching at Oak Hill. So if we
- 1:26Speaker 1: were to look back over a quarter of a century
- 1:28Speaker 1: of sermons in our congregation, is there a theme? Is
- 1:33Speaker 1: there a thread? And we found one. Remember This. God came.
- 1:40Speaker 1: God cares. God's coming again. It's worthy of an epitaph,
- 1:46Speaker 1: isn't it? Engrave that on your heart. Remember this. If
- 1:51Speaker 1: you forget everything else, don't forget that. And so for
- 1:57Speaker 1: three weeks, we're just focusing on the heart and the core.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And may God bless this as the core message of
- 2:05Speaker 1: our congregations. Revisiting some favorite passages and retelling some favorite
- 2:11Speaker 1: stories could not help but return to the great chapter,
- 2:17Speaker 1: Romans chapter 8. John Stott called the eighth chapter of
- 2:22Speaker 1: Romans the greatest chapter in the Bible. And one reading
- 2:27Speaker 1: will tell you why. If you brought your Bible open
- 2:31Speaker 1: to Romans 8, we have outlines available for you. If
- 2:34Speaker 1: you'd like to fill in some blanks or if your
- 2:37Speaker 1: Bible is in your phone, just don't order pizza. Just
- 2:41Speaker 1: open it up. We'll say a prayer and get to work.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Thank you, Heavenly Father, that you granted us this opportunity.
- 2:51Speaker 1: These people have entrusted me with their greatest resource, and
- 2:55Speaker 1: that is their time of May by your power I
- 2:59Speaker 1: make good use of their time. And may you please
- 3:04Speaker 1: forgive the sins of the one who speaks. For they
- 3:07Speaker 1: are many. And help us to see Jesus. And just Jesus.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Through Christ we pray. Amen. Dean Lynn and I have
- 3:18Speaker 1: three daughters. Each of our daughters was involved in Girl
- 3:21Speaker 1: Scouts when they were young. And our youngest daughter Sarah
- 3:25Speaker 1: especially took. To being a brownie. Any brownies? Former brownies?
- 3:31Speaker 1: I like to eat brownies. I was never a brownie.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I remember picking Sarah up from a brownie troop meeting
- 3:39Speaker 1: when she was six years old. She bounded up into
- 3:43Speaker 1: the car after the meeting. She was so proud of
- 3:46Speaker 1: her just baked cookie. She had just finished a project.
- 3:50Speaker 1: She showed it to me. She told me all about
- 3:52Speaker 1: the meeting. And I started the car and off we drove.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I turned on the music and she began to sing
- 3:59Speaker 1: with the music. She was singing to God, singing about God.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And I had one of those moments that parents have
- 4:06Speaker 1: when you say, what is going on? My child is
- 4:09Speaker 1: growing up. I mean, look at her. Her hair is
- 4:13Speaker 1: all the way down to her shoulders. What happened to
- 4:16Speaker 1: those chubby little fingers and that chubby little face? My,
- 4:19Speaker 1: she's halfway to a dormitory. And so I reached over
- 4:25Speaker 1: and I turned the music down and with one hand
- 4:27Speaker 1: on the steering wheel, I placed my other hand on
- 4:29Speaker 1: Sarah's shoulder and I looked across the car at her
- 4:33Speaker 1: and she looked up at me and I said, Sarah,
- 4:34Speaker 1: I want you to know something. You're something special. Someday
- 4:40Speaker 1: some hairy legged boy is going to walk you off.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But as for now, you belong to me. And she
- 4:50Speaker 1: looked out the window and then she looked back up
- 4:52Speaker 1: at me and she cocked her head and she said, Dad,
- 4:55Speaker 1: why are you acting so weird? Well, I can imagine
- 5:02Speaker 1: those words did sound weird to the ears of a six-year-old.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I mean, her brain couldn't comprehend the love of a parent.
- 5:13Speaker 1: No six-year-old can. And none of us can comprehend that.
- 5:19Speaker 1: The love that God has for us. But it sure
- 5:22Speaker 1: doesn't keep him from speaking. Would you let God tell
- 5:27Speaker 1: you he loves you today? Maybe that's what your heart
- 5:31Speaker 1: needs more than anything else. It's just to hear the
- 5:36Speaker 1: voice of God. And to sense the presence of his
- 5:40Speaker 1: hand on your shoulder. As he says, you know what?
- 5:46Speaker 1: You're something really special. I think the Apostle Paul was
- 5:52Speaker 1: trying to convey to us the love of God when
- 5:56Speaker 1: he crafted this masterpiece that we call Romans chapter 8.
- 6:02Speaker 1: The first seven chapters of the book of Romans lead
- 6:07Speaker 1: us up the mountain of redemption and grace. Not an
- 6:14Speaker 1: easy climb, as you know, if you've studied those chapters.
- 6:17Speaker 1: It's easy to get tangled up. But we finally reached
- 6:21Speaker 1: the peak in Romans chapter 8. Romans chapter 9 through
- 6:26Speaker 1: chapter 16 describe life on the mountain of grace. But
- 6:32Speaker 1: having described grace and before he applies grace, the Apostle
- 6:39Speaker 1: Paul wants us to celebrate grace. And so he crafts
- 6:45Speaker 1: Romans chapter 8. Romans chapter 8 is marked by five questions,
- 6:53Speaker 1: a quintet of queries that invite us to look out
- 6:56Speaker 1: up from the mountain at this panoramic view of God's love.
- 7:02Speaker 1: These are questions that are not new to you. You've
- 7:05Speaker 1: asked them when you see the questions, you'll say, well,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I've asked that question. What's new is not the question,
- 7:12Speaker 1: but the answer. I invite you to fill in the
- 7:17Speaker 1: blanks as we look at these questions. The first is
- 7:21Speaker 1: the question of protection. And Paul asks in Romans 8, 31,
- 7:30Speaker 1: if God is for us, who can be against us?
- 7:36Speaker 1: What a great question. He doesn't ask who can be
- 7:39Speaker 1: against us. You could answer that question quickly, couldn't you?
- 7:47Speaker 1: Who is against you. Maybe it seems that the economy
- 7:51Speaker 1: is against you. Or your in-laws are against you. Or
- 7:56Speaker 1: fate is against you. Or the odds are against you.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Or your health is against you. Where the question simply
- 8:04Speaker 1: who is against us. Well we could list our foes
- 8:09Speaker 1: more quickly than we could fight them. No but Paul's
- 8:13Speaker 1: question is this. If God is for us. Who can
- 8:18Speaker 1: be against us? You see, his implication or his implied
- 8:24Speaker 1: encouragement is God tips the scales. When God shows up,
- 8:29Speaker 1: everything changes for the better because God is for us.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I can remember growing up in the little town where
- 8:38Speaker 1: I grew up, we would play football out on the
- 8:40Speaker 1: street in the neighborhood. You ever do that? The kids
- 8:44Speaker 1: would all gather and we'd play right out in the
- 8:45Speaker 1: middle of the street and One team against the other team.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But every so often, one of our dads would come
- 8:52Speaker 1: out and play. And you know, everything changed when a
- 8:54Speaker 1: dad was in the huddle. The other team would tremble.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But when you had a dad on your team, if
- 9:03Speaker 1: he is for us, if he is with us, well
- 9:06Speaker 1: then we have an unfair advantage. Dear child of God,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you have an unfair advantage over the devil. Because God
- 9:15Speaker 1: is for you. God is for you. Paul says, if
- 9:20Speaker 1: God is for us, God is for us. Four wonderful,
- 9:28Speaker 1: powerful words. God is for us. Say them aloud with me,
- 9:32Speaker 1: will you? God is for us. Say them again and
- 9:36Speaker 1: emphasize a different word each time, starting with the first word.
- 9:40Speaker 2: God is for us. God is for us. God is
- 9:49Speaker 2: for us. God is for us. Not just anyone, but
- 9:55Speaker 2: God is for us.
- 9:58Speaker 1: The one who runs the universe Who hung the stars
- 10:03Speaker 1: and carved out the oceans. God is, not might be,
- 10:06Speaker 1: or used to be, or could be, or if I
- 10:08Speaker 1: could just get my act together, would be. But he
- 10:12Speaker 1: is for us. For. In our corner. In the bleachers,
- 10:18Speaker 1: calling out our names, standing on the other side of
- 10:21Speaker 1: the finish line, rooting us to finish. If he had
- 10:25Speaker 1: a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If he
- 10:30Speaker 1: had a car, your name would be on the bumper sticker,
- 10:34Speaker 1: honor student. If there's a tree in heaven, your name
- 10:40Speaker 1: is engraved in the bark. God says, I have engraved
- 10:45Speaker 1: their name on the palm of my hands. In the
- 10:48Speaker 1: book of Isaiah, God asks, can a mother forget the
- 10:53Speaker 1: baby at her breast and have no compassion for the
- 10:56Speaker 1: child she has born? Can you, mom? Can you? Can
- 11:02Speaker 1: you forget the baby at your breast as you're feeding
- 11:05Speaker 1: a child? Do you ever say, well, who is this child?
- 11:07Speaker 1: I don't know who this child is. That doesn't happen.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Can you forget the baby you have born. Didn't I
- 11:15Speaker 1: once give birth to a child. That doesn't happen. But
- 11:19Speaker 1: then God says. Even if she could. I will not.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I will not. God is with you. Knowing that. God
- 11:32Speaker 1: is in your huddle. Knowing that. God is on your side.
- 11:36Speaker 1: That God stands in your corner. Who can be against you. Death.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Death.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Debt?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Disease? Not really. Even hell itself might set itself against you,
- 11:52Speaker 1: but hell will fail because God is for you. That's
- 11:58Speaker 1: the question of protection. Then he follows up with the
- 12:03Speaker 1: question of provision. This is a great question. He who
- 12:07Speaker 1: did not spare his own son, but gave him up
- 12:11Speaker 1: for us all. How will he not also along with
- 12:14Speaker 1: him graciously give us all things? Having seen what God
- 12:22Speaker 1: did for us on Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday, will
- 12:29Speaker 1: he not also sustain us on Monday? having defeated our sin,
- 12:38Speaker 1: detuned our grave, will he not also walk me through
- 12:45Speaker 1: my shopping list, my traffic jams? Having established that he
- 12:52Speaker 1: will care for my sin and my death, can't I
- 12:56Speaker 1: turn over to him my concerns about my life? Won't
- 13:01Speaker 1: he graciously, Give us all things. This is Paul's question
- 13:06Speaker 1: that defies us to be worry free people. We don't
- 13:10Speaker 1: have to worry. Do you ever worry? Some of us
- 13:16Speaker 1: have postgraduate degrees in anxiety. We worry about everything. We
- 13:23Speaker 1: worry about the IRS. We worry about the SAT. We
- 13:27Speaker 1: worry about the FBI. We worry about the FBI. We
- 13:32Speaker 1: worry about education, recreation, and constipation. We worry that we
- 13:40Speaker 1: won't have enough money. And then when we have money,
- 13:43Speaker 1: we worry that we'll spend it too fast or we
- 13:46Speaker 1: don't manage it well. We worry that the world is
- 13:50Speaker 1: going to end before the parking meter expires. We worry
- 13:54Speaker 1: that somebody is going to tell us someday that lettuce
- 13:57Speaker 1: was fattening after all. Did God save you so you
- 14:05Speaker 1: would worry? Did he? Did he teach you to walk
- 14:11Speaker 1: just so he could watch you fall? Would he be
- 14:16Speaker 1: nailed to the cross for your sins and then disregard
- 14:20Speaker 1: your fears? Come on. You think scripture is just teasing
- 14:26Speaker 1: us when it reads he has put his angels in
- 14:30Speaker 1: charge of you? To watch over you. Wherever you go. Question.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Of provision. He will provide. So the question of protection.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Is followed by the question of provision. And then two
- 14:54Speaker 1: questions come in rapid succession. One. Two questions about guilt
- 14:59Speaker 1: and grace occupy one paragraph. Who can accuse the people
- 15:03Speaker 1: God has chosen? It's a good question.
- 15:06Speaker 4: No one.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Because God is the one who makes them right. Who
- 15:12Speaker 1: can say God's people are guilty? Good question. No one,
- 15:16Speaker 1: Paul answers, because Christ Jesus died. But he was raised
- 15:22Speaker 1: from the dead. And now he is on God's right
- 15:27Speaker 1: side appealing to God for us. Some time ago I
- 15:35Speaker 1: read a story of a youngster who was shooting rocks
- 15:37Speaker 1: with a slingshot. He never could hit his target. As
- 15:42Speaker 1: he returned to grandma's backyard he spied her pet duck.
- 15:47Speaker 1: And he let a rock fly and lo and behold...
- 15:51Speaker 1: The stone hit and the duck was dead. The boy
- 15:56Speaker 1: panicked and he hid grandma's pet duck in a wood
- 16:01Speaker 1: pile only to look up and see his big sister
- 16:06Speaker 1: watching the whole time. After lunch that day, grandma told
- 16:10Speaker 1: big sister to help with the dishes. Big sister said,
- 16:14Speaker 1: Johnny told me he wants to help in the kitchen today.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And she whispered to him, remember the duck. What choice
- 16:26Speaker 1: did he have? So for several weeks, he was at
- 16:30Speaker 1: the kitchen sink more often than he was not. Finally,
- 16:34Speaker 1: so weary of washing dishes, he decided that any punishment
- 16:38Speaker 1: would be better than washing more dishes. So he confessed
- 16:41Speaker 1: to grandma that he killed the duck. I know, Johnny,
- 16:45Speaker 1: she said. I was standing at the window. I saw
- 16:49Speaker 1: the whole thing. But because I love you, I forgave you.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I'm just wondering how long you were going to let
- 16:56Speaker 1: big sister make a slave out of you. He had
- 17:02Speaker 1: been pardoned, but he thought he was guilty. Why? Because
- 17:08Speaker 1: he was listening to the voice of his accuser. Paul says,
- 17:16Speaker 1: who can accuse the people God has chosen? We have
- 17:19Speaker 1: an accuser. He is the devil. And he cannot take
- 17:24Speaker 1: your salvation, but he can take your joy. He can
- 17:28Speaker 1: take your confidence. He can take your power. He can
- 17:32Speaker 1: take your peace. He can take your sleep. In every
- 17:35Speaker 1: moment of your life, the accuser files charges against you.
- 17:40Speaker 1: He has noticed every error. He's marked each slip. If
- 17:45Speaker 1: you neglect your priorities, he'll jot it down. If you
- 17:48Speaker 1: abandon your promises, he will make a note and he
- 17:51Speaker 1: will remind you he lives to accuse you. The Bible
- 17:56Speaker 1: calls the devil the accuser. He is the accuser of
- 17:59Speaker 1: our brothers and sisters who accuse them day and night
- 18:04Speaker 1: before God. And we hear him in our conscience. We
- 18:08Speaker 1: hear him accusing us. He's marching up and down before
- 18:14Speaker 1: the judgment seat of God saying that.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Lakedo is a jerk. That Lakedo is lazy. That Lakedo
- 18:20Speaker 3: is a bum. That Lakedo forgot to keep that promise.
- 18:23Speaker 3: And he just lists them over and over and over.
- 18:27Speaker 3: And as he speaks, we just hang our head and
- 18:30Speaker 3: we say, I guess he's right. I'm just guilty, your honor.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Satan says, what is the sentence? And God, our judge,
- 18:39Speaker 1: says the wages of sin is death. But in this case,
- 18:43Speaker 1: the death has already occurred because this one died with Christ.
- 18:51Speaker 1: And Satan has no response to that. Satan is suddenly
- 18:56Speaker 1: silent and you are suddenly jubilant because you realize that
- 19:00Speaker 1: Satan cannot accuse you. Oh, he can try.
- 19:03Speaker 5: He can try.
- 19:04Speaker 1: But his accusations glance off of you like arrows hitting
- 19:09Speaker 1: a shield. No more dirty dishwater for you. No more penance.
- 19:16Speaker 1: No more nagging voices. You have stood before the judge.
- 19:21Speaker 1: And the judge has declared you not guilty. And you
- 19:25Speaker 1: can agree with Isaiah who said, The Lord God helps me.
- 19:30Speaker 1: So I will not be ashamed. I will be determined.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I know I will not be disgraced. He knows that
- 19:37Speaker 1: I am innocent and he is close to me. So
- 19:41Speaker 1: who can accuse me if there is someone? Let us
- 19:45Speaker 1: go to court together because the judge. is your father.
- 19:52Speaker 1: The court is no place to fear. And once the
- 19:57Speaker 1: judge has released you, you have no fear of shame.
- 20:03Speaker 1: That's the question of guilt and the question of grace.
- 20:07Speaker 1: But one question remains. And that is this. The question
- 20:13Speaker 1: of endurance. Paul said, can anything separate us from the
- 20:21Speaker 1: love Christ has for us? There it is. That's what
- 20:28Speaker 1: we want to know, isn't it? We want to know
- 20:32Speaker 1: how long God's love will endure. Paul could have begun
- 20:36Speaker 1: with this question. Does God really love us forever? Is
- 20:41Speaker 1: there truly in this universe a source of unconditional love?
- 20:51Speaker 1: All the rest of the love that we have known
- 20:53Speaker 1: in our lives has been conditional. If you are pretty,
- 20:57Speaker 1: I'll love you more. If you're successful, we'll love you more.
- 21:03Speaker 1: If you're kind, I'll love you back. All the rest
- 21:06Speaker 1: of the love that we have known has been conditioned
- 21:10Speaker 1: upon our performance. Dare we believe that there is in
- 21:16Speaker 1: the universe a source of unconditional love? Or can something
- 21:23Speaker 1: separate us from our Heavenly Father? Can I slip too much?
- 21:29Speaker 1: Can I misspeak too often? Can I raise too many questions?
- 21:35Speaker 1: Can I fall too many times? Can I cross the line?
- 21:41Speaker 1: That's the question. I believe with all of my heart
- 21:45Speaker 1: that that's the question you have inside of your heart.
- 21:49Speaker 1: And the longing that you have, dear friend, is to
- 21:54Speaker 1: know that you are loved. That's really what you want.
- 22:01Speaker 1: And that's what That's what Paul is trying to tell us.
- 22:07Speaker 1: He is trying to tell us that there is a
- 22:09Speaker 1: love that is offered to you that is greater than
- 22:14Speaker 1: any love you will find anywhere else. And you don't
- 22:18Speaker 1: have to undress to get it. You don't have to
- 22:20Speaker 1: get drunk to receive it. And you don't have to
- 22:23Speaker 1: be rich to accept it. This is a love beyond
- 22:29Speaker 1: you that does not depend on you, It just depends
- 22:35Speaker 1: on God. You see, conditional love depends upon your performance.
- 22:41Speaker 1: But God's unconditional love depends only upon the faithfulness of
- 22:46Speaker 1: God who gives it. And to demonstrate how faithful he
- 22:52Speaker 1: is and how committed he is, he lit the Bethlehem
- 22:58Speaker 1: night with stars. And he filled the pasture sky with
- 23:05Speaker 1: angels songs. And he placed within the womb of that
- 23:12Speaker 1: teenage Jewish girl. The presence the very being of God
- 23:19Speaker 1: in the flesh. And God grew inside Mary until he
- 23:25Speaker 1: had to come out. And the word became flesh. And
- 23:33Speaker 1: Mary held Jesus and she did not know whether to
- 23:36Speaker 1: give him milk or praise. Because he was at once
- 23:41Speaker 1: human and divine. And Joseph looked at Jesus and did
- 23:48Speaker 1: not know whether to call him father or son. Because
- 23:53Speaker 1: at that moment he was both. Neither Mary nor Joseph
- 23:59Speaker 1: said it as bluntly as my Sarah did. But don't
- 24:02Speaker 1: you think their heads tilted and their minds wondered and
- 24:05Speaker 1: they thought to themselves, what in the world are you doing, God?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Or better phrase, God, what are you doing in the world?
- 24:16Speaker 1: Can anything make me stop loving you? God asked. Watch
- 24:22Speaker 1: me speak your language and sleep on your earth and
- 24:24Speaker 1: feel your hurts. Behold the maker of sight and sound
- 24:28Speaker 1: as he sneezes and coughs and blows his nose. You
- 24:31Speaker 1: wonder if I understand how you feel. Then look into
- 24:34Speaker 1: the dancing eyes of the kid in Nazareth. That's God
- 24:38Speaker 1: walking to school. Ponder the toddler at Mary's table. That's
- 24:42Speaker 1: God spilling his milk. You wonder how long my love
- 24:46Speaker 1: will last. Find your answer on a splendid cross on
- 24:51Speaker 1: a craggy hill. That's me, you see up there, your maker,
- 24:55Speaker 1: your God. Nail stabbed and bleeding, covered in spit and
- 25:00Speaker 1: sin soaked. And that's your sin I'm feeling. That's your
- 25:04Speaker 1: death I'm dying. That's your resurrection I'm living. That's how
- 25:08Speaker 1: much I love you. Can anything come between you and me?
- 25:12Speaker 1: God asks. Hear the answer and stake your future on
- 25:17Speaker 1: the triumphant words of the Apostle Paul. I am sure
- 25:21Speaker 1: that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits,
- 25:28Speaker 1: nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us,
- 25:33Speaker 1: nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world
- 25:37Speaker 1: will be able to separate us from the love of
- 25:40Speaker 1: God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Lord, would
- 25:48Speaker 1: you let your love right now fall upon your church?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Would you, sweet Spirit of God, speak words of comfort
- 26:00Speaker 1: to your bride? Would you, dear Father, find those whose
- 26:07Speaker 1: hearts are so thirsty for divine affection, for kindness and
- 26:17Speaker 1: Would you find that person who came today completely out
- 26:20Speaker 1: of obligation, whose heart has grown hard, who really did
- 26:27Speaker 1: not even care about being here? Would you now speak directly,
- 26:31Speaker 1: just lift that person's chin up and look them in
- 26:33Speaker 1: the face and say, I love you. Would you, dear Lord,
- 26:43Speaker 1: place your pierced hand on our shoulders? And tell us
- 26:47Speaker 1: that we are special. Made in the image of God.
- 26:51Speaker 1: And that we don't have to go looking for love
- 26:53Speaker 1: in the wrong places. Because we found the right love
- 26:57Speaker 1: in your presence. Let the love of Christ go deep
- 27:01Speaker 1: into our hearts today. This is our prayer through Jesus Christ.
- 27:08Speaker 1: And all who agreed with it said.
- 30:17Speaker 5: Thanks for watching! Thank you.
- 33:29Speaker 6: Loving you alone feels so beautiful. And yet, it hurts
- 33:40Speaker 6: the most.
- 33:44Speaker 7: You became my quiet sunrise, the dream I never dared
- 33:50Speaker 7: to say. Every smile you gave.
- 33:53Speaker 4: So freely took my breath a little away. held this
- 33:59Speaker 4: love like fragile glass, so precious, soft and true.
- 34:06Speaker 7: But every beat inside my heart was.
- 34:09Speaker 8: Only reaching out to you.
- 34:13Speaker 7: Unspoken love is sweet and painful, like honey mixed with rain.
- 34:20Speaker 7: A tender hope I hold so tightly while it Slowly
- 34:26Speaker 7: breaks me. Loving you from just one side now leaves
- 34:31Speaker 7: my soul in silent blue.
- 34:35Speaker 8: Cause the deeper that I fall alone, the lonelier I do.
- 34:43Speaker 8: I can't blame my heart for choosing someone.
- 34:47Speaker 4: It could never keep. So I smile through hidden heartache
- 34:54Speaker 4: and love you quietly.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Unspoken love is sweet and painful like honey mixed with rain.
- 35:04Speaker 8: A tender hope I hold so tightly while it slowly
- 35:10Speaker 8: breaks me. Loving you from just one side now leaves.
- 35:15Speaker 5: My soul in silent bloom.
- 35:19Speaker 8: Cause the deeper that I fall alone, the lonelier I do.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Maybe loving you in silence is the closest I can stay.
- 35:49Speaker 4: Though it leaves behind a sorrow that may.
- 35:53Speaker 8: Never fade away. Unspoken love is sweet and painful, like
- 36:03Speaker 8: honey mixed with rain. A tender hope I hold so
- 36:08Speaker 8: tightly while it Slowly breaks me loving you From just
- 36:15Speaker 8: one side now Leaves my soul in silent blue Cause
- 36:21Speaker 8: the deeper that.
- 36:22Speaker 5: I fall alone The lonelier
- 36:29Speaker 1: I do
