Shawn Smith & Bruce LeGrow | 2025 Halloween Spooktacular Part 1

the Radical Fabulatorium · Oct 31, 2025 · 1h 7m

For the first half of this year’s Halloween special, I sit down with filmmaker, producer, director, and guitar shredder Bruce LeGrow (Painsaw) and Metal Lifer Shawn Smith (Hard Charger, Painsaw, Heatseeker).

We talk about growing up on VHS-era horror, the lost art of practical gore, why comedy and violence often go hand in hand, and how metal and horror have always shared the same dark sense of humor.

We also get into what actually scares us, from Pet Sematary and The Exorcist III to bad video-store covers and more!

BOO!
